The enemy doesn’t want us to use God’s Word to fight temptation. He wants us to depend on others for revelations from God so that we never discover its power in our lives. But God has given us the Bible, the sword of the spirit and one of our defenses against the enemy. The Bible is meant to be studied. God gave us the Bible to be understood. He wants us to dig in, ask questions, seek Him, and be curious about His Word and ways. That’s why He chose to reveal Himself to us through His Word. When you read the Word of God, ask yourself these 3 questions: What happened? What is God teaching? What does it mean for my life today?
