For The Dads is for every guy who needs a place to talk, vent, and laugh about all the insane, hilarious, and chaotic sh** (sometimes literal) that comes with being a dad.

Hosted by Will Compton–NFL Vet, creator of Bussin' With the Boys, and proud dad of two. This show isn’t about expert advice and how fatherhood is the greatest thing on earth—it’s about embracing the love and suck of parenthood every day. From balancing work and family to battling the mental load, fears, and the moments that wreck you in the best way, we dive into it all with honesty, vulnerability, and a sense of humor. Cause at the end of the day... us dads have no idea what we're doing.

Alongside Will is his producer Sherman Young, a recently new father who’s currently deep in the trenches of Fatherhood and loving every minute of it. Together, they’ll break down everything that can go right and wrong (...usually wrong) when you bring tiny humans into this world.

Expect funny parenting stories, laughs, call-ins, advice, weekly themes, and the kind of conversations you’d have over a cold beer in the garage. Whether you’re raising teens or still Googling “how to install a car seat”, For the Dads is the ultimate podcast for dads who are in it, about to be in it, or just trying to do their best while screwing it up along the way.

Speaker 1: Hey, PT sixers, this is Willie One show. You're about to listen to an automated ad read after this call to action. If you're on the Busting with the Boys audio channel. If you want to listen to For the Dads automated AD free, be sure to head over to the For the Dad's channel. And wherever you listen to us on audio, enjoy this episode of For the Dads. Papa Team six Welcome to another episode of For the Dads. Today is a very special day. Today is the day we have our very first guest on For the Dads. He's a PT sixer. I'll get to let's say, if you haven't followed our socials, our socials ad for the dadspot. If you've been on those, you know who the guess is going to be. But if not, I'm going to keep you hanging for a little bit longer. I hope your power is back on. I hope your trash is taken out. It is. We are recording because we're going to the Super Bowl next week. I know by the time this drops we had to backlog this one, YEP, but right now it is January thirtieth, it's a Friday, YEP.

00:00:49
Speaker 2: We're on day six right now. No power.

00:00:52
Speaker 1: Fortunately, the power is onto the shop. It just went out when we were five minutes ago, five minutes ago, when we were about eight minutes deep of this episod. So we're gonna try and recreate the energy because again optimism.

00:01:02
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

00:01:04
Speaker 1: But our guests that we have on today, he's a special one.

00:01:09
Speaker 2: He's a special boy, A rumored siko, a rumored.

00:01:13
Speaker 1: Sicco three time pro bowler, ten years in the NFL. You know him from Busting with the Boys, Michigan man. You know him from ESPN. You know him from Michigan, and you also know him as an all time dad of two beautiful girls winning Willow at pet Sikos. Give it up in the comments for Taylor Lewan like that introduction.

00:01:38
Speaker 3: I like it's so nice. We did it twice, buddy, Yeah, it's yeah, optimism.

00:01:43
Speaker 1: Can you allude to some of the magic that we had that we're gonna do what We're gonna do our best to keep it there.

00:01:47
Speaker 3: I'll say this, man, like I've been watching from afar. I remember when the first time you kind of came to me in our little team meeting room as I ham'm thinking about starting this show about Dad's I want to Essentially, you're asking for the blessing, Like, are you cool if I go and start this show? And I was like planning of the yeah, I was like, yeah, I think it would be awesome. Like you're obviously big into it all that you bring up shirm he's gonna be able soon to be father. At the time, He's like, he would be great. There's no doubt, sherm in front of a camera is better than behind the camera. You're actually great behind the camera. That's not a shot. Well, no, you're a phenomenal talent. I'll take that, is what I'm saying. I'll take that. And I knew eventually this would happen, This like would merge of like you guys would want guests eventually, and I thought, hopefully, you know.

00:02:29
Speaker 2: God willing, I would become one of those guests.

00:02:32
Speaker 3: And it's really cool for me because the way my family operates, the way my wife and I operate, is we uh protect, trying to protect and preserve like our children. We don't want in the public light. We see anything, and I get to see you guys post about your kids, and there's a level of fulm with that. I have at times being like, oh, look how happy that beautiful family is. And a lot of times you play the game he's like, well it is the Instagram family happy. But I knowing both of you, I'm like, this is truly them and it's just really cool to see. And so this will be the first time in my podcasting professional career that I will truly be talking about my family in.

00:03:06
Speaker 2: A way the entire episode.

00:03:07
Speaker 3: Yeah that I have not really done on Busting with the Boys. There's been emotional times, there's been great stories and stuff like that, but this is a time where it's truly based around my family. Our families. Yeah, how we're all integrated together. And dude, I'm fired up.

00:03:20
Speaker 1: You're a great storyteller because it's spotty, like you were alluding to, it's it's spotty on in the bust and universe, and you talk about on Busting with the Boys, But the fact that we're going to have a dedicated keeping under an hour, all fake keep under an hour, that's the thing, is like, I gotta go in an hour, right, we can't do this any longer than an hour. I can't do this any longer than an hour. And luckily we all got a hard app your Patcico.

00:03:40
Speaker 2: People say that people, there's.

00:03:42
Speaker 1: Rumors swirling, and it's only it's up to me to prove to the viewer today that I'm a ptsico. Are you aware that this is the strongest fatherhood community going on right now in the modern day?

00:03:51
Speaker 2: Can I say something else? Please?

00:03:53
Speaker 3: I know you guys are like thirty six thirty seven episodes into this whole thing.

00:03:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, and it.

00:03:58
Speaker 3: Is incredible to see the village of the tribe that the two of you have established, not only in the continental United States, but worldwide internationally. These people coming out of nowhere. And the thing that's been the most mind blowing to me because it doesn't happen. I'm bustling with the boys. Got a lot of ladies over here at.

00:04:17
Speaker 1: YEP.

00:04:18
Speaker 3: Yes, so I am very excited to meet these people, to embrace fatherhood, embrace family all that on this show.

00:04:29
Speaker 1: You can be more excited. Yeah. And again, for the audience out there watching, listening, wherever you're getting your podcast, please make sure you're following and subscribe. Please. But this won't be just a This isn't like an interview. This is the boy is co hosting. Anything we have on a guest, they will be co hosting, they will be immersed in our show. Tailor's got a lot of cards around them because again we love to engage with our audience at for the Dad's Pod on social media. So if you drop comments, we get them on cards. If you want to go the extra mile and be featured featured on the show, you call into a hotline six on one that Dads. That is where if we feature your voicemail, your calling, whether it's a dad win, Dad lost, anything you want to vent to the boys, we play it.

00:05:07
Speaker 2: We send you some merch.

00:05:08
Speaker 1: If you can't, if you're international and you can't call into the hotline, or you don't want your voice to be heard, you simply just write in an email six and one The Dad's at gmail dot com. So we do comments, We do engagement all throughout the episode. Taylor's got a lot here in front of him right now. Oh and big news that we got during that little power Yes five minutes that we just had.

00:05:27
Speaker 2: We just hit twenty thousand on YouTube. We just hit twenty thousand subscribers on YouTube. And that's it.

00:05:32
Speaker 4: That's really just thinking PT six. I mean truly like thank you PT six for subscribing, but also huge shout out to PT six because he had a really good number of like comments and questions with what Two days before we were recording, we put out a tweet, a post and some stuff and they came through. So shout out PT six and Empty six.

00:05:54
Speaker 2: Derek was dropped in the chat the other day too.

00:05:56
Speaker 1: The reddit, the reddit page, Oh you drop in the little clip for the video.

00:06:01
Speaker 5: We talked about, uh, I guess technically two episodes ago about how they were like, oh, our time will come, Our time will come. We have a discussion here Taylor about like reddit and just we don't use it and so what does it mean? And we found that Peticos had made us a reddit so lastep or two episodes ago, we shouted it out and then I sent a link to the boys. They posted and said we're famous with the clip of us discussing, let's go created reddit page.

00:06:23
Speaker 2: So the community is absurd.

00:06:25
Speaker 3: Reddit is a world that I've never like truly been in. I've touched a link or two in my life and I've looked, buddy, you had some you had some on that not even yeah, you had sickos in general, and you gotta love them too, because that's as the heartbeat right there, you're heartbeat. They will make you rise and fall baba in a lot of ways.

00:06:51
Speaker 2: Take your ass out if you don't, if you'll correct, Yeah, you know.

00:06:55
Speaker 1: You're in the pocket of Reddit, where I would assume it's the same. But you click the link that you do click, you hit it and then when Safari opens up, it's like, do you want to open it up in the app or do you want to stay on you stay on the browser. Oh you got to make a profile to get on Reddit. You feel like you always stay on the browser the.

00:07:11
Speaker 3: Minute use your name and you have a password and you have to verify the pastor there's email involved. That's when you are now in the cold. You're you're in this your your official sicko speaking. We did have a cicco right in this from Joe Vir's on Instagram. And this is for you to read before we kick off.

00:07:30
Speaker 2: Now, we did, we did read this call.

00:07:32
Speaker 3: We did, we did, and I just wanted to do the reason why I brought that up is my reading abilities. Anybody who watches Bus with the Boy's nose subpar. It's not great Uh, so I have to pre read. I got to pre read before I actually read live.

00:07:45
Speaker 1: Now I'm in my head, I'm like, do I do the thing where I like Taylor? He needed the room for ten minutes while we have to walk out of the shop and hey, if you want to say that you're more than would it again? It was Taylor?

00:07:59
Speaker 2: And then we gave the cards.

00:08:00
Speaker 1: You saw the cards and he was like, gentlemen, can we all leave the office. Can you all step outside and give me ten minutes?

00:08:12
Speaker 2: You're not You're not? Do I do the clipper with the big red doll?

00:08:17
Speaker 6: Yeah?

00:08:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, we got the same book?

00:08:22
Speaker 7: Yes, all right?

00:08:23
Speaker 2: This is Joe Vieers underscore Instagram Joe Viers Why why am I actually excited for this? The crossover every MT sixer probably dreaded after years of hearing bust with the boys prior to f t D. It's your time to shine as a pt sico. Taylor, please don't let us down and you want It's from an empty six er MT sixer, I am going to do my absolute best. Then here theres hear us do we do on busts? And just think?

00:08:54
Speaker 1: What? Why do we got to listen to this? In our long drive. Now they have for the dads. Moms get included a little bit. Okay, that's that's the same monoxious guy that I hate listening to that you listened to.

00:09:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, now the other I like to picture these beautiful women sitting passenger side in the cars, are driving listening to Pt.

00:09:10
Speaker 2: Six before the dads and smiling.

00:09:13
Speaker 3: To themselves, and every two or three times an episode looking over and goes, that's so you.

00:09:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, you do the same thing.

00:09:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy you do that, You do that, And then he'll have a chance to look over and be like, you've done that to me.

00:09:23
Speaker 2: And then now we're having fun. We're having fun, and that's all that matter.

00:09:26
Speaker 1: Like see babble tell you when I when I want to get a little action, that's right.

00:09:30
Speaker 2: It ain't personal. All the guys feel this way. Electricity in there and there's a bit of a shockwave. It ain't just me out there. We're all trying to scratch that age a little bit.

00:09:41
Speaker 1: You know what.

00:09:42
Speaker 2: Part of that deal.

00:09:43
Speaker 4: Part of that deal, I will say, there is very little difference between will comptent on busting with the boys and will competent on for the dads. It's really that they're just seeing a completely different side of you as far as like the humanity of you.

00:09:58
Speaker 2: So it just get married to that household. You said, what jokes, get married to in the house Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sitting there like I do see a little bit of a difference.

00:10:07
Speaker 3: Much more positive, like not in a negative way, like straightforward busting like whatever wills feeling that day.

00:10:13
Speaker 2: That's the way you're gonna get. This feels like a like a.

00:10:17
Speaker 3: Light positive and it's not saying you're not Yeah yeah positive guy, catching the cat.

00:10:25
Speaker 2: Take it a different way. Let's not take it that way. Let's take the way it was meant to be presented to you. It's hard to be taking that way.

00:10:30
Speaker 1: When we got on these beautiful hats, no doubt you look good going on, Taylor looks good? Well, yeah, like what you've been married for? What s for? Four years? Five years?

00:10:41
Speaker 2: Four years?

00:10:41
Speaker 1: Rooster four? Yeah? So four years?

00:10:44
Speaker 3: What is How has Valentine's Day changed for you since being established? Because I know it's changed a lot for me. Yeah, it changed a lot for me, and it's a I'm being honest with you, it's really nice now.

00:10:57
Speaker 1: I think you just know what time. It is on Valentine's Day, you know, I mean there's no second guess. There's a question like, hey, you know all the hoops you jump through to set up maybe a perfect little Valentine's Day night?

00:11:07
Speaker 2: Do they want that? Do I want that? Are they expecting me to have this?

00:11:10
Speaker 1: I don't really want to do it, but I also I'm into you, so maybe I should do this. Yeah. Now it's just more a little straightforward. We're going to do it date night. We're gonna go out. We know we're gonna Hey, nobody getting too full tonight. Yeah, yeah, you want oysters, oysters in Blue bearry. Okay, they're a little more into it. They know what's going to happen. Instead of fighting it. Hey do I want to do? I not want to?

00:11:31
Speaker 2: They know they're going to. Yeah.

00:11:32
Speaker 3: So now it's like we got these walls down. We're having a little more fun with Yeah. Pressure, Pressure's way down on Valentine's d Yeah, yeah, pressure's way down in that instance for me younger, like we like early married, because anyone who knows my story about me and my wife is we got engaged in five weeks, married in two months. So there was a very quick courting process for me. But we've been in April will be married for ten years and we looked at, hey, we got Valentine's Day coming up, and it turns into there's not an expectation on.

00:12:01
Speaker 2: Me anymore where it's like what are you gonna do?

00:12:04
Speaker 1: What are we up to?

00:12:05
Speaker 7: Like?

00:12:05
Speaker 1: What's your playing for Valentine's Day? Now? It's like, hey, what do we want to do on this special day that we get to be ours? Yeah, people's massages, grab.

00:12:11
Speaker 3: A little yeah, whatever, way up to It's really like, let's just have a nice time together, Let's make let's be intentional about the two of us as opposed to got to make sure there's a little rose petals going. Yeah, kind of the theatrics that I might not be great at.

00:12:24
Speaker 1: But do you do you approaching Valentine's Day? Do you think or maybe what are the holidays? And it could be Valentine's Day where you might think like let me get her on her toes here, let me throw her off guard. She thinks nothing's gonna happen. Now, it might not be I do it might it might not be huge, but just something little I knew that wasn't coming.

00:12:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if comfort's been my enemy, but I used to a lot more than I do now. I think as we get older and I'm almost ten years married, I'm.

00:12:54
Speaker 2: Like, hey, we're good.

00:12:55
Speaker 3: I do this like, I know you're happy. I'm extremely happy. If you ever leave me, I'll you know.

00:13:02
Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. So yeah, I tell my wife like, hey, if you ever left me, I just follow you and hang out like I'd be like, what are you doing? But Taylor, you did this. I'm like, come on, man, we're gonna be boys still right, no matter what. I still love you.

00:13:16
Speaker 3: But so yeah, for me, it's like, let's just have a good time. Let stop at the expectation. I think communication as we've gotten older has gone a lot better to.

00:13:23
Speaker 2: Where there's not this.

00:13:24
Speaker 3: If there's ever been a level which Tail's really good about communication, but there's never if there ever has been a you need to know what I'm thinking, that's gone for us to where she's like this is how I feel, Like, well, this is how I feel. And then you get a little pillow talk in, you try to work it out, make a little little shock wave.

00:13:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, buddy, something going.

00:13:44
Speaker 2: It feels like the super Bowl too, is more like anniversary. Yeah, I agree with that. Wait, wait what do you mean by that?

00:13:51
Speaker 1: So like the pressure of like Valentine's Day when you're married, I feel like more of that pressure that ball gets fully into got because you're married, Like obviously you celebrate anniversary like if you're dating or you're series and stuff like that.

00:14:04
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:14:04
Speaker 1: I think the expectation of pressure that might be felt seeing all that gets put more towards anniversary than Valentine.

00:14:10
Speaker 4: We are so close to the actual NFL Super Bowl that I took that way.

00:14:14
Speaker 1: Too literally, Yeah that's fair.

00:14:17
Speaker 2: I was like, why would that be an anniversary? You should do it?

00:14:21
Speaker 3: Maybe we should change that. PT six Ors like change Valentine's Day and put it on Super Bowl weekend.

00:14:26
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so Saturday. You just get it.

00:14:28
Speaker 5: You know next year that's happening. Next year Valentine's Day will be on Super Bowl. Hey really, I was informed by my fiance two days ago.

00:14:35
Speaker 2: They just made the rule because it just sirt.

00:14:37
Speaker 1: Taylors say, it breaking coming out from for the dads. You guys are welcome for that.

00:14:42
Speaker 4: Do you all have a go to for Valentine's Day? I do not, But like, do you have something that you do no matter what, every single year.

00:14:49
Speaker 2: But I have a go to.

00:14:51
Speaker 1: My go to is, oh shit, Valentine's Days this weekend, yeah, or oh shit.

00:14:56
Speaker 2: Valentine's Days in a cup. I have a go to. I have to go to what you're go to?

00:15:00
Speaker 1: Shame?

00:15:01
Speaker 3: Oh my go to on Valentine's Day. Every Valentine's Day, I get twelve dozen bouquets of flowers.

00:15:08
Speaker 2: Tails are a rose girl. She's like she likes more like wild flowers.

00:15:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, twelve dozen or sorry, one dozen, twelve total bouquets of flowers. And I'll be like establishing like one month for every month since the last time I.

00:15:20
Speaker 1: Had a Valentine's Day her what we do is just so be.

00:15:24
Speaker 3: Year ten and I told her every year ten it resets. So every year I've gotten her a dozen bouquets of flowers per year. So last year I got her nine dozen bouquets of flowers. And I just have people. It's a totally financially irresponsible thing to do. It's just ridiculous. But it's the theatrics in my head that I'm like, how do I want to when my kids are older and I am dead and gone? Are they to explain their father And it's like dad love theatrics, And that's where I have to really buy into it.

00:15:55
Speaker 1: So and I think, too, great work. You're setting a standard for your little You are exactly dude. I can't wait to get in that conversation.

00:16:03
Speaker 3: I talked to my eight year old all the time about this is why fathers and daughters and mothers are.

00:16:08
Speaker 1: Important, and this is what you can learn. Yeah, I have that as a as a as a massive topic as you being the cat here that is the closest to the dating face.

00:16:17
Speaker 4: We'll say, do we want to do comments before we.

00:16:21
Speaker 1: Got an hour?

00:16:23
Speaker 2: But you gotta keep but you gotta know.

00:16:25
Speaker 3: But just we said this year ten ten dozen bouquets of flowers will be delivered to my house. Tale and then goes and like gives them to like old folks homes and stuff like that before they die.

00:16:34
Speaker 2: Very sweet of Hey, yo involved does she go in the old homes and be like which ones?

00:16:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, which ones are which?

00:16:40
Speaker 3: John Cena a little bit?

00:16:47
Speaker 1: We joke.

00:16:53
Speaker 2: Did it?

00:16:53
Speaker 3: But the ones that got it, that's a that's a good joke. You keep that in your back pocket.

00:16:58
Speaker 4: But you're eleven hits if I get fly I saw Zita yesterday.

00:17:04
Speaker 2: What was that?

00:17:05
Speaker 1: It's not good.

00:17:07
Speaker 2: Here's the book. We're sitting next to their bed. Oh ship.

00:17:25
Speaker 1: I like that reset.

00:17:26
Speaker 3: You can only be financially responsible for so long. You're thirty for thirty anyway onward.

00:17:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just gonna say I'm in here. I'll come back and kick off a fun little a fun little trivia segment. Yes please.

00:17:37
Speaker 1: It's from Loan Shark seventen on Instagram. There were rumors swirling around the rumor mill that Taylor wasn't a pt SIKO. Hopefully this sets things straight.

00:17:47
Speaker 2: Okay, And who is that from? It's from Loan Shark seven ten. Those are big words. Those are those are big words.

00:17:54
Speaker 3: That is so let me ask this question, what how do I establish to the people that I'm a PTC.

00:18:00
Speaker 2: I think if Loan Shark is listening right now, which I assume that he is, whether it be on any of the channels, Apple Spotify, Amazon, Google, YouTube, Galaxy, doncast sound clap.

00:18:12
Speaker 1: Yeah. But Taylor's already kind of said it good. He's already said a really good tone, like you hear the the pt sicos out there, hearing the inside jokes. He's speaking like, we do have some we do have some we do have some fun trivia here to establish the PT and and this.

00:18:28
Speaker 2: Is a safe space, right like if I get one judge, oh buddy, yeah, there is no buzzer, yeah, no buzzer yeah, just a time limit.

00:18:35
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:18:35
Speaker 2: What does PT six stand for?

00:18:38
Speaker 1: Team six? Ye?

00:18:40
Speaker 3: Now, which is established after Seal Team six, which is one of the Navy seal things that don't exist at this moment, one of the most dangerous of dangerous so beIN London past.

00:18:52
Speaker 1: There's three answers here and extra credit. There is some extra credit. Can you spell pt sicico Yeah?

00:19:02
Speaker 2: Uh P T yeah, hot start, hot star dash s I c k O.

00:19:12
Speaker 4: That is technically one way to T six.

00:19:17
Speaker 3: I see k oh credit credit. Thank you well, wive studio audience.

00:19:26
Speaker 2: What is MT six stand for?

00:19:28
Speaker 3: That is Mama Team six That is for the mothers. Oh, I'm sorry, milk team, which is ridiculous.

00:19:36
Speaker 1: That's the hat I'm wearing right, and you're looking at the answer answer on top of your bwt.

00:19:42
Speaker 2: B dot com.

00:19:43
Speaker 1: You can go get him there on uh, February second, February second, the merch shops, the Valentine's say, Milk Team six merch shops. Can they find that murder?

00:19:51
Speaker 2: It will be out bwt B that well, yeah, when this is going on, so go check it out right now. Okay, here's a big one.

00:19:58
Speaker 1: All right.

00:19:59
Speaker 3: But buds training, Okay, budgs training. Buds another Navy Seals reference. They go through buds before they go through hellwave, before they are inducted as a Navy Seal. That is breeding until is a dad status god grading until dad status checked.

00:20:21
Speaker 2: I have through buds twice. Yeah, yeah, you have twice. You've been through buds once? Just once.

00:20:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a fun training st six. You're talking about Semen Team six.

00:20:36
Speaker 4: Yes, we're talking about that's no longer a heat check. He's hot.

00:20:41
Speaker 2: I don't even think I need a cooismal shock wave. Yeah he knows that. See, I have my own little thought process on shotwave.

00:20:47
Speaker 3: You share shockwave is from my understanding of watching the show is that you go and do the things you need to do. You you exceed a bar, you come downstairs, and there's the electricity in there for you to hurt. Am I correct and generally stating what shock wave is and then.

00:21:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so context of shockwave? Do you know the background of shockwave? This is?

00:21:07
Speaker 2: This would be full on insane extra credit.

00:21:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, I guess the only way to answer your question is with the question is that have you been the six Flags in Texas?

00:21:19
Speaker 6: Yo?

00:21:20
Speaker 2: Hey, yo, I didn't even know what to do to that one. That's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah, so, man, let me tell you something. Rides, not long loops.

00:21:33
Speaker 3: It's now My thought process on shockwave is that you go and we talk about the scoreboard all the time.

00:21:40
Speaker 1: You go home.

00:21:41
Speaker 3: You don't want to have a scoreboard. However, there's always a scoreboard. You go home, long day of work, come back, hit the chores.

00:21:47
Speaker 1: I hit the chores.

00:21:48
Speaker 3: Then all of a sudden, wife's not feeling so great. You go upstairs and hey, honey, you laid back for the rest of the night. I'm gonna go ahead and take care of these kids. You play with them, You do the thing. They're happy, jovial, happy, jumping up and down, dad, we love you so much. You put them down. There's no fighting. They don't hear any loud noises downstairs or upstairs. Put I'm asleep, go to bed.

00:22:05
Speaker 2: You walk into the room.

00:22:07
Speaker 3: That to me is where there's electricity in the air. Chock wave is whether or not that electricity strikes.

00:22:14
Speaker 2: I do.

00:22:14
Speaker 4: I do like that extra element of like he's doing all these things and like checking things off the list, and he's creating evidence.

00:22:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a wife creating evidence. Your your great core value of bustle.

00:22:28
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're hitting a lot of great responsibilities that need to be done. Yeah, you're also in that you're taking care of mama's needs.

00:22:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, not that has got some needs because Valentine's Day.

00:22:37
Speaker 3: Hey listen, I got needs. And let's be honest, you've got a couple of Yeah, all right. It isn't a selfish game, because this is love.

00:22:47
Speaker 1: This ain't like you know, heavy breathing.

00:22:49
Speaker 2: This is heavy. I will say this.

00:22:52
Speaker 4: On Valentine's Day, I could do chocolate, flowers, all that stuff. But if Jilly Bean came home to a made bed's just done, bottles cleaned.

00:23:02
Speaker 2: D oh, dude, that's.

00:23:06
Speaker 1: What's the words of inform are not words, ermation, love languages.

00:23:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, acts of service, acts of service.

00:23:11
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, big one.

00:23:13
Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Now she'll take chocolate and flowers for sure.

00:23:16
Speaker 2: But she will will or she got a little sweet tooth, and she does. She has a huge sweet tooth.

00:23:22
Speaker 4: And if you do, uh, Dominos does heart shaped Pepperoni's just figured that out. Really, Yeah, no free shouts of Domino Dominos.

00:23:33
Speaker 2: We brought that over. No free shouts is brought over.

00:23:35
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:23:36
Speaker 1: Well, anytime you're just shouting out brains like I feel like it's just ingrained. Don't want to just give anybody free shout outs. Yeah, there's a new one, very new, maybe a couple of weeks old, a few weeks old.

00:23:48
Speaker 2: This one's hard empty six a PR.

00:23:51
Speaker 3: Empty six a p R so a PR. I don't know what a PR is, but MT six is milk team six a p R. Is it like I have to do with pregnancy? No, So we've learned this week.

00:24:14
Speaker 1: Maybe as I tell the context of it, you might start putting, like you might start blocking out pregnant things that we're thinking. But we've learned on this show that when we tell stories, we also have dad brain, you know, what I mean. You you forget a lot of things. Sometimes you make stuff up. Who knows you're you're remembering it as well as you can. But we've learned on the show, our wives are listeners of the show because we're obviously talking about family dynamics, that we're talking about family stuff, so they want to, you know, they want to make sure we're doing everything justice. So we've learned on the show that we get feedback after pretty much every episode, depending on if we butcher story. So I told the story a few weeks ago about when Rue went to the hospital for that seizure she had.

00:24:56
Speaker 2: When I was like, what did I say about about a year and a half? Eight months? You say she was eight months?

00:25:00
Speaker 1: I did say she was eight months. I was saying she was like a.

00:25:03
Speaker 2: Year and a half.

00:25:04
Speaker 3: This is how it happens right now, This is how can I say something? Yeah, Minor detailed how old she was child a little put right, and it's like and also listen, I know this positive show. Yeah, can we stop with the months after twelve?

00:25:19
Speaker 2: I like that? Oh artily, here's why, here's why I don't mind it.

00:25:24
Speaker 1: And I get it too. I get it's like, oh, they're one year there, you could say a year and a half. You do halves up until what, well, how long did you guys go? I went to about nineteen Well, and you could do year and some change.

00:25:33
Speaker 2: I love, yeah change, yeah, but has whatever for yourself? Nineteen years old?

00:25:39
Speaker 1: I'm thinking how many Scarlett six.

00:25:42
Speaker 2: Months of detailed month?

00:25:43
Speaker 1: I like, uh, I've enjoyed breaking down under two because I feel like the sixteenth month mark are the fifteen sixteen mark is when their personalities really start to come alive.

00:25:53
Speaker 2: So if I hear somebody like, sure Scarlett is what six month weeks now, she would be seven months. That's months old.

00:26:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, but once if you were to tell me thirteen months, I'm thinking of my head man, they're about to hit a little spin on when their personality starts coming out to where you're starting to get a little taste of it. But when it really comes alive is around that fifteen to six month market. That's the only reason I don't mind the details under two years.

00:26:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I do feel you though. Yeah, to me, it's get to twelve months after that? Hell was they won?

00:26:24
Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I'm going to be that more more so. Yeah, just because it's an easy quick answer. But if I were talking, like talking to you on the show, obviously I would have it broken down by mine.

00:26:35
Speaker 2: But how old's the giddo? Oh she's a year and some chance. Yeah you're in change.

00:26:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, he in change like is at the end of the day, like this person's asked that question for filler.

00:26:43
Speaker 2: Some might some might take some kiddles might take fifteen months to walk.

00:26:47
Speaker 1: Yeah that is you know what I mean?

00:26:48
Speaker 2: Was that you no, no, no, no, We always training them early. Rue's probably by.

00:26:53
Speaker 1: You as a child, not Rue or Scottie. Rumor has it. No, Willie boy was walking in nine months? Hey, come on, rumor has it?

00:27:02
Speaker 2: That's early.

00:27:03
Speaker 3: That's nice that there's no evidence, but I'll believe that.

00:27:07
Speaker 1: It comes from Billy c. It comes from my parents. You were walking the nine nine months? You got going?

00:27:18
Speaker 2: All right?

00:27:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm but a pr after pod report after pod because s I'm also total story with what.

00:27:27
Speaker 2: Would be cream?

00:27:29
Speaker 4: Oh god, yeah, Jill has this drink that she was doing during pregnancy. She had gestational diabetes just through like some stuff with the placenta.

00:27:39
Speaker 2: Pregnant parents giving people game.

00:27:41
Speaker 4: Hey if your wife has just stational diabetes too, here's a little sweet treat, instead of well here we go okay, instead of saying Chavani sweet creamer with Hollie pop banana cream, banana cream, thank you. This is why we're Yeah, this is why we're a team. So I'm saying that I said that she was using heavy cream, like whipping creamy with ollipop cream, soad cream soda.

00:28:07
Speaker 8: Yeah, it's and it's a different dish. And I got stripped. I got stripped down when I got home. But truly, she she's still to this day. Well she'll get pissed if I get like any type of detail of Srman, you're making me look like a psychopath, Like you go back on the show and like dialed this out because I look like an idiot.

00:28:28
Speaker 3: A lot of responsibility being authoritative figure in this world, yeah, a lot of moms ones right, ones you're obviously married to. And then mom's all over the place that are watching learning judging, well she's using heavy cream and cream soda. I kind of want to do that too. People did know that she's making a mistake.

00:28:42
Speaker 1: We goes by, hey, that's the wrong and now three times it's a little key kind of sounds.

00:28:48
Speaker 2: Nice, Yeah, nice, someone tried it correct.

00:28:51
Speaker 5: Somebody was like someone basically write in and be like, hey, my wife tried it and.

00:28:55
Speaker 2: I think she liked it and wasn't quite sure.

00:28:57
Speaker 5: And then sherman also messed up the amount of hot dogs and bears you out on their first date.

00:29:01
Speaker 2: It was another awkward dad brain moment.

00:29:03
Speaker 3: And that's okay. Dad brain happens all the time. Happens all the time. Here's here's something for empty six that just would help me as a PT six guy. Is I'm telling a story and I'm only got a couple of minor details wrong that don't necessarily change the trajectory or the landing spot of the story. Let me keep going, let me go, let me rip a little bit. You know what I'm saying, defin and I know I'm wrong, But then make a nice little joke, be like, he got it most right, and then I can laugh with you, and then you can correct me on the thing.

00:29:32
Speaker 4: You got to even bigger laugh with the he got something.

00:29:35
Speaker 3: But if I'm going down the yellow brick road right and we're hopping and skipping and we're singing, I'm telling a nice little fun story, I don't want my vibe to get checked because I might, you know, dad, brain might hit me right there.

00:29:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's CT six or whatever you guys want to.

00:29:47
Speaker 3: Call just all of a sudden started reading my brain starts rerouting a little bit.

00:29:51
Speaker 2: I don't know where I picked up.

00:29:53
Speaker 1: Where I left off.

00:29:54
Speaker 3: Yeah maybe I got CT six.

00:29:59
Speaker 2: Yeah we got see these? How many times can I say it before?

00:30:02
Speaker 1: You know? That's a gold Joe.

00:30:04
Speaker 4: I'll give Jill that at least of like she she lets the story ride out. She does a good job of like, oh my god, the APR has.

00:30:12
Speaker 2: Become a fun thing.

00:30:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like the it's like, you know, every every husband and wife out there, it's it's all the same stuff. Dad's out there telling a story. He exaggerates a little bit. Yeah, don't let h you know what's the saying. It was the saying out there don't have a good story getting the way of a little bit of exaggeration, right, Yeah, yeah, but you know wives are out there. It wasn't you know when we were at Taylor's Halloween party, you know that was about how old was something charges.

00:30:40
Speaker 4: She was was like that was.

00:30:46
Speaker 3: Funny if you interject funny, But I it's like know she was he by the way, she was you know, six months old, Actually she was five months, doesn't matter.

00:30:53
Speaker 1: Yeah right, Hey, I heard your telling the story. Just you know something small she was she was eight months? Oh yeah, yeah, I thought she was about to years old.

00:31:00
Speaker 4: And the confidence at which you were telling the story, because Will and Jill they have interactions with each other similar to you and Jill, but you know, you're really trying to get to nowhere in that moment, you're confidently telling that story, and char was a good forty yards away and overheard it.

00:31:15
Speaker 2: It was like, that is really wrong, way wrong.

00:31:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hilarious. That is hilarious.

00:31:23
Speaker 4: Do we want to jump into some of the comments that would love to We could do new dads?

00:31:28
Speaker 2: Okay, I got new dads right here, Yeah, new dads.

00:36:20

00:36:25
Speaker 3: If I thought to myself, yeah, if I actually did that, like I hit a whole different level.

00:36:29

00:37:40
Speaker 4: Was Taylor there for the stream room text? I don't know if he was there that day.

00:37:44
Speaker 2: I'm not sure.

00:37:45
Speaker 4: Jill sent me she was having like stomach aches, all the fun stuff, and she was like, I hope I'm not pregnant, and I'm you know, this is right after we had Scarlet, and so I'm like, yeah, you know whatever, and she just sends me a picture of a pregnant and sea tests and that's all it was, was just the picture of the pregnancy.

Speaker 2: Test with no words under it.

00:38:05
Speaker 4: So I see that while we're live on stream for Thursday night football.

00:38:09
Speaker 1: Hopefully it was a good game, right.

00:38:12
Speaker 7: A little bit, he stood up so fast and I start to walk out, and then like you know, forty five seconds like a minute after, it's uh, you know, not pregnant woo.

00:38:22
Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh my god.

00:38:26
Speaker 6: You can do it.

00:38:27
Speaker 2: Kind of fun though, kind of fun. It was a little fun. It was a little fun. What was your first reaction when you saw the first pregnancy test?

00:38:36
Speaker 3: So if you guys have a minute, I know we all have an hour for the show, but I would the story win rebel a wand was actually a very interesting one. So wife and I meet twenty sixteen. I've already said it gauged in five weeks.

00:38:48
Speaker 2: Married in two months. It is a Tuesday, and we're.

00:38:52
Speaker 3: About to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night football. Quinn Talon's brother is in town and I come home to a bag in Tailn's like, I have something to show you. She's kind of you can tell, She's like, panic's her, you know you can tell. The bpms are up. Yeah, yeah, And I'm like, oh, what's what's what's going on? And She's like, turn around and I turn around. I hear this bag rustling, and I turned back around and there are eight pregnancy tests, yeah that are out. Seven of them say positive. And I'm like, what about that one?

00:39:22
Speaker 2: What is this? What is this one?

00:39:24
Speaker 1: Right here?

00:39:24
Speaker 3: As you goes Quinn took that one because we didn't know if it was broken. Fun fact about pregnancy tests. If you if you're a male and you pan a pensity test and it's positive, that is a sign of tiesticular cancer. So quiets, yes, very kind of like, hey, I guess we're gonna kind of find out if we have anything going on. So Tayling, we just met, right, she is twenty two at the time, maybe just turned twenty three, and we barely know each other. I know I'm gonna know that the show of us in my life, I always make the joke to Tail like I feel like you weren't fully investing in this relationship. Yeah, year and a half and they're like, all right, yeah, maybe I will maryor the stuff forever get the Yeah, I guess we'll do it. And uh so I go. And I really hope that one's okay with me telling the story, but she's she's nervous. I go right into super positive mode, like, hey, there's never a convenient time to like, hey, let's have children, Like we all have dreams, aspirations, what we want. Yeah, and I'm so I'm super positive. Internally, I'm freaking out so we go to the doctor. We go in there, we get the thing done, and we put it up. We did a little and we see like a little sack and a tiny little flick there, and I'm like a ship that's a heartbeat, and yeah, yeah, it's a heartbeat.

00:40:35
Speaker 1: This is real. And I'm like, hey, so what to do?

00:40:39
Speaker 3: Like, yeah, you're pregnant. It says like a four to six weeks or whatever. I'm probably messing that up right now.

00:40:43
Speaker 4: And the ap that does sound right for being able to see heartbeats six weeks because it is just this little tiny flick.

00:40:50
Speaker 1: Take yes, And I'm like, hey, it's gonna be fine. Blah blah blah blah.

00:40:54
Speaker 3: And then I'm like, I gotta go to the hotel now because we have a game the next day. So this is actually a Wednesday, not a Thursday.

00:41:00
Speaker 1: I go to the game. We play.

00:41:03
Speaker 3: I think that was like the game that Derek had nine yard run and like two hundred and thirty eight yards rushing.

00:41:08
Speaker 1: It was like, hell of it?

00:41:09
Speaker 2: So you played out of your mind?

00:41:11
Speaker 1: Uh no, no, this is uh this is the night nine yard run I was on the Okay, so this is.

00:41:19
Speaker 2: What we beat the Jacks.

00:41:20
Speaker 3: Now, during the games, I would always like, uh, every time I would run out, the first thing I would do is like look for Tailor. I'd see her smile away, but a little kiss. And then every series after I finished, I'd go looking and find her, see her, just to see her sit down and go over the playbook stuff like that. Well, during the game, she's like, uh, quiet and she's like not really like you just tell She just kind of like seems like depress.

00:41:46
Speaker 2: Like, man, she's really taking this thing hard, it seems like.

00:41:49
Speaker 3: And after the game we win, I go to give her a hug, and the Titans at the slot is where they had it, and it was all like this gated in area with.

00:41:56
Speaker 1: Like you'll look really see.

00:41:58
Speaker 3: But I get in and I see Tailor and I give her a big hug and she goes, hey, don't say anything, but I was bleeding during the game and I think I lost a baby. And I'm like, like, even right now to feel yourself tear up a little bit because you're like so scared in that moment, but you're also like like, hey, this is like a new journey and new experience, like I have a shot at being a great dad here, Like you think of all the opportunity as opposed to the scared, or at least you try to. So we go and a couple of days later we go and get a test or we go to the ultrasound again and they go, yeah, you're the heart rate is not there.

00:42:32
Speaker 1: We don't see a heart rate.

00:42:33
Speaker 3: We don't and that little stack was there, and I didn't see a flick, and I'm thinking, oh my god, we actually we actually lost this baby. And so they tell us, hey, you seems like it's like a chemical pregnancy. We're gonna give it a couple of weeks and if you got if you're still reading at these higher levels, whatever those levels are, then we're gonna have to do like a quickly. It's like a scope where you kind of take out the egg and everything and you remove it. So a couple of weeks go by and and I jokingly, I'm like, well, I joke with Tailing about this. I'm like kind of being a bee during these last two weeks, like emotional, really emotional, And.

00:43:08
Speaker 2: I'm like, what's going on with.

00:43:11
Speaker 1: That's what's going on?

00:43:12
Speaker 2: When emotional? Right now? You were scared, Now you're not scared. The football he's I like in my brain, I'm like, I'm in the middle of the football season.

00:43:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm like, yeah, I'm like, I go home. I handled it. I like, I'm with her, We're feeling the emotions together. But then I go to sleep. I wake up at five thirty whatever it is, and I go right to the facility and it's like that's now has to go away for these next you know, twelve hours. So a couple of weeks go by and uh, tailing's on ourself. Talings are very even kill from emotional standpoint, very emotionally mature woman.

00:43:45
Speaker 2: And we go back and I'm like, hey, doc, sums up. We like, come back and check.

00:43:49
Speaker 3: We do the ultrasound, and buddy, that little sac is still there, but that flick is back. And they're like, so is is what's going on? And I'm thinking to myself, I'm just seeing something that is like hieroglyphics to me.

00:44:03
Speaker 1: The ultra sound.

00:44:03
Speaker 3: Girls like I can't say anything. The doctor's gonna come in. Comes in and Doctor's like, yeah, you guys are pregnant. And I don't know what happened a couple of weeks ago, but you're you yet you're having kids reading at nine weeks right now or whatever the number was at the time. What And it was the craziest thing in the world. Taylor says all the time that when she was pregnant she was so scared about what was going on that like when who's our oldest daughter had to like remove herself for a second for tailing to be like, you know what, it would actually been kind of great just to come back. So that was it was nuts. Man, was like three or four week emotional period. It was just nuts about thinking you have a kid and you're like, Okay, I guess I'm not having a kid, but then do we have kids eventually? And it's like, no, by the way, you're having a kid, And it was it was a crazy crazy dude, that's hard.

00:44:49
Speaker 2: The bean was boring.

00:44:50
Speaker 1: The bean.

00:44:50
Speaker 2: We just called it the bean over and over. Yeah, yeah, dude, it was awesome. It is like so.

00:44:57
Speaker 3: Scary finding out you're gonna be a kid for the first time or you're gonna have a kid for the first time.

00:45:01
Speaker 2: But yeah, it's nuts.

00:45:02
Speaker 1: Do you remember the first day you brought back by home your kid?

00:45:05
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, and you just sit there and they're like, you have all the nurses helping you with everything, and then you get in the car. You slap them in the cars and you're.

00:45:13
Speaker 1: Like that carr And then you get in the car and kind of drive off and you're like, all right, I guess we're doing this.

00:45:19
Speaker 2: I guess we're parents now. Itllegal. It feels illegal. You're just like a car seat on the floor.

00:45:25
Speaker 1: Ours is like in the kitchen to the car seat on floor when we came inside with like, hey, waffle, here's here's here's rue, kind of just look at it for a little bit and you're like, it's ours.

00:45:36
Speaker 2: Do I feed it now?

00:45:37
Speaker 1: Yeah?

00:45:37
Speaker 2: Like it's not only talking a whole lot. What's the getting Let's start getting the sounds going.

00:45:42
Speaker 4: I was I was overly worried about introing the dogs to Scarlet because I had read something that if you let the dogs find the baby, and it's like them finding and kind of showing you the baby, it's like it's their idea and it kind of helps with the intro. And I'm like, all right, Jill, when we get to the house, like I'll I'll get out, I'll take the dogs outside, you.

00:46:05
Speaker 2: Sneak Scarlet in, and then we'll do that, and.

00:46:07
Speaker 4: After like two minutes of trying to do that, Jill was like, Hey, I don't give a ship about the dogs.

00:46:12
Speaker 1: Like, I'll get the dogs outside. You go, you go in, put scarlet somewhere in the corner. You sit on the couch. I'll come in, we'll kick up the feet, we'll throw on Netflix.

00:46:20
Speaker 2: Well, what is that? Good boy?

00:46:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, the things that I was worried about, you know how many ever hours that was in the fatherhood. But and then with our pregnancy test story, Jill got a dad's I don't know, I still don't know who gave her the sweater from up here, but she got a sweater from up here that said dad on it, laid it on our kitchen counter, and similar to Taylan how she was like, oh, this one pregnancy test says I'm pregnant, but let me take nine more. And so there was like twelve pregnancy tests on the sweater.

00:47:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, And.

00:47:04
Speaker 4: I came home and she just had like the most awkward smile ever and was just like standing there.

00:47:10
Speaker 2: And I'm like, what's going on here? And see the kitchen counter.

00:47:13
Speaker 4: And the reason she never posted the video was I jokingly told Jill we had just started trying, and I jokingly told her we're going to be that couple, that it's going to be the very first time, Like I just I have one of those feelings. It ended up being the very first try. And so when I see all these pregnancy tests, I scream out, I.

00:47:33
Speaker 2: Fucking told you. I told you that's crazy.

00:47:38
Speaker 4: And it like is not a cute reaction at all. So we never posted it, but I was stoked.

00:47:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, Rue was a very first try. And then Scotty, I've obviously talked about the IVF stuff.

00:47:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, buddy, but we just talked about real quick. The first try for Will the state that Will comm I saw Will Combs of.

00:47:54
Speaker 1: The night that Rue was conceived, and I'm glad you stamped me on that because Charles like a honeymoon. I'm like, Sowe, you know what I'm telling.

00:48:01
Speaker 2: Dude, Wait was she wedding night? I mean we I somehow made it happen.

00:48:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, that little guy was ready to work.

00:48:09
Speaker 2: They're doing they're doing to send off. It was bubbles sparklers. Will like, Charles looks outstanding the whole night. She's been dancing and drinking, have fun.

00:48:21
Speaker 1: She looks like a queen. Princess.

00:48:24
Speaker 3: That is just like gliding across the floor with this fus.

00:48:29
Speaker 2: Like my boy had something going on, like hey, hey, what is that? They put a healing front of me. You'll walk on? Yeah, fell will Good tell you here you Good's has never been told.

00:48:50
Speaker 3: I look at you staying doing nothing night seven, eight weeks twelve whatever it was.

00:48:55
Speaker 1: Later he like got a kid.

00:48:56
Speaker 2: I'm I thinking, oh my god, ain't no way. Was what I can remember.

00:49:03
Speaker 1: I remember being in the little sweet or whatever, and I was like, you gotta get you gotta help get me undressed.

00:49:09
Speaker 2: We made it happen. Will's inevitable made it happen. He's inevitable was inevitable for sure.

00:49:16
Speaker 1: You know. I was like, let's just go to bed.

00:49:17
Speaker 2: We can concentrate. Yes, oh my god, that's incredible. I have starfishing a couple of buns. You alive. I love you, honey, you love you. You have a good Lean's over.

00:49:55
Speaker 1: Tidn't change your name, oh gallaghery yeah. And it wasn't like when we got married.

00:50:01
Speaker 3: I was like, you gotta change the lawns like, oh, I'm absolutely gonna change the one. But because she's Canadian, right.

00:50:05
Speaker 1: There's probably is there just like such a twenty sixteen so like forty five is in who is now forty seven and he's doing all this stuff with immigration, so like the immigrations of us very difficult to do anything.

00:50:15
Speaker 2: We're like, hey, we'll wait till it calms down. Now it's been almost ten years.

00:50:18
Speaker 3: And she to her and I've got it. Well, it was like kind of funny if you just keep it now, like, hey, do you want to be a little one Yeah?

00:57:20
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:57:20
Speaker 2: Absolutely, So my crack a Cold one.

00:57:27
Speaker 3: Is just a big dad win for me. That I was like, you know what, maybe I'm doing this right as a father. Maybe I'm actually figuring it out. So I think it was Monday or Tuesdays were like maybe maybe it was Wednesday, who knows.

00:57:38
Speaker 1: Anyway, it was like three four days into having no power generators running.

00:57:42
Speaker 2: Every night the.

00:57:43
Speaker 1: Lights dim and you're like, is this the end of time?

00:57:46
Speaker 6: We?

00:57:46
Speaker 3: Is it done now for us? So the kid's been staying up a lot later and they've been getting up earlier because of it. There's been a lot of like less sleep nights to where emotionally both my children are having a more difficult time understandably so stir crazy in the house crazy my five year old in particular, she is like five year olds to me are as such a unique phase to where they're really coming out of the toddler stage and they're getting into like the kids stage, kids stage where they understand the idea of independence, but they're still very dependent on parents, but they're finding the envelope of like where can I kind of find more of like me, I do this thing? And my kids were graced with the decision for a dessert. It was going to be my wife Can's peaches, So it'll be warm peaches and vanilla ice cream or a popsicle. Right now, we're all sitting here and you're if you're listening on Spotify or wherever you're at right now. You're clearly thinking to yourself, warm peaches and vanilla ice cream. Yeah, the move right now. Five year olds don't think that way. Five year olds have been talking about pop school since morning breakfast.

00:58:52
Speaker 2: Hit can I get a popsicle?

00:58:53
Speaker 1: Too early?

00:58:54
Speaker 2: For a pop scle.

00:58:56
Speaker 1: We're not doing that.

00:58:57
Speaker 3: So they are given the decision. I have an eight year old, and then there's a neighbor girl, Mackenzie. She's staying at her house as well as along with her parents.

00:59:03
Speaker 2: She's ten.

00:59:04
Speaker 3: These kids identify, understand, and execute. They say, I'll wait a little bit longer, but I want the peaches and I want the vanilla. That's that's what I want. I'm thinking to myself, good move. Five year old's over here really having a hard time, ends up settling for the pop school, gets the pop school. Maybe three licks in and here comes the peaches in the vanilla on the screen, choking on the warmer. She decides she's made the wrong decision. She wants to take it back in our household. You make a decision. Whether you're happy with the decision, you may or not. You gotta stick with your decision going there's no going back, and like next time, now, you've learned, Hey, I'm gonna make the correct decision for myself.

00:59:45
Speaker 2: Back a little bit and identifying.

00:59:47
Speaker 3: She doesn't take coldly to that. She starts getting the mad. She starts having a little bit of a temper tantrum. All good five year olds do it. We all know anybody who's listening with a five year old and storms upstairs, storms upstairs. We say, hey, let's let let's let her sit there, sit with her emotions for a little bit. She lets out the every once in a while loud scream, Hey, just to let you know I'm still mad, screams and as a daddy, sit there and kind of like tails like I should go up there. I was like, let me go, I'm gonna go all handle this. You've been cooking, you just clean, Like, let me do this.

01:00:16
Speaker 2: Boom check. That is a preshock wave. Move by the way, that is, and that's.

01:00:20
Speaker 1: At one pm.

01:00:21
Speaker 2: All right, I'll get the light.

01:00:24
Speaker 3: But I'm just letting you know, like you put work in for these types of things. Yeah, I walk upstairs. My daughter wants nothing to do with me. She's like, where's mom my mom sitting? That daddy came up on his own. I wanted to talk to you, but this do you want to you want to come sit over here? No?

01:00:37
Speaker 1: Do you want me to sit over there? No? Do you want me to stay in the room?

01:00:40
Speaker 7: No.

01:00:41
Speaker 3: I am at a dead end. To the corner of my eye, I see two small, little stuffed animals. I think she might not want to talk to me. She might want to talk to them.

01:00:49
Speaker 2: I get these little stuff I get these little stuffies out. I'm like, oh, hey, you did puppet therapy. Puppet therapy, take it through it? Why are you sad?

01:01:02
Speaker 1: My mom? She said, I can, and then I couldn't even did I get it? Well, I can't understand you when you talk like that.

01:01:07
Speaker 2: Maybe I can help you for you do We started breaking it down. I got too. She had a signed way through done like this one. Uh huh. She switches it out with another one. You got a different voice?

01:01:17
Speaker 6: Hy, Yeah, we do it.

01:01:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I feel you.

01:01:19
Speaker 2: We're gonna get that figured out for you. Ends up.

01:01:22
Speaker 1: This is the conclusion of the story. No, we only have an hour.

01:01:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, we go downstairs.

01:01:27
Speaker 3: WILLI apologizes to her mother and says, I'm sorry for the way I acted, but next time I'm gonna I'm gonna choose peaches and cream, and I hope that I can have good behavior and do my chores so I can earn peaches and cream.

01:01:39
Speaker 2: Let's go, buddy, thank you.

01:01:41
Speaker 1: That is my crack cold one.

01:01:43
Speaker 4: Hey, how hard was she fighting that smile when you broke those characters out to.

01:01:47
Speaker 2: No, she's good with the staying mad.

01:01:50
Speaker 3: She's oh, really in there and then she sees it and she's like, look at me, and then all of a sudden, I kind of vanished and she's just talking to them.

01:01:58
Speaker 1: If I butt it, She's like that. So you think.

01:02:03
Speaker 2: Taylor and Taylor in that situation, he's dad.

01:02:06
Speaker 1: It's not. It's not the funny tailor lawan all the time, like, no, that's dead, Like I am pissed off.

01:02:11
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, I see you're trying to make me lafe.

01:02:13
Speaker 3: You look dumb, and as a dad, a lot of times you have to be the guy that is like comes in and puts your foot down a little bit, like when we go out of town tailor and be like yeah, kids, they had to get on the kids a little bit.

01:02:24
Speaker 1: I didn't like it, so I talked to him for an hour. I'm like, go to bed, like.

01:02:28
Speaker 3: What is bedtime, Like, I'll play all day long bedtime hends. Buddy, we understand the operation. Your night has fallen.

01:02:34
Speaker 1: You see it.

01:02:35
Speaker 3: I've read the book. It's time to sleep. I can't sleep. Here's the best way to sleep. Close your eyes, breathe through your nose, out through your mouth.

01:02:42
Speaker 1: Does we don't work through it with them.

01:02:43
Speaker 3: It's like, sweetie, all the issues you're having in your head, if you talk about it, like we'll talk about in the morning, and so you make sure and bring them up in the morning, you learn to yourself. I can go to sleep and then in the morning I can figure out all these issues. Yeah, right, that way, you're not causing nighttime anxiety. We feel you have to talk about. What if you don't have some talk about it now you're twenty three years old, it's like boom, well right, all right.

01:03:03
Speaker 1: I'll sit there listen because I'm a sucker for like crawling in bed and just laying there because I.

01:03:07
Speaker 2: Like Rubberru's back. Like I'm like, I'm the closer, no matter what, I'm the closer. I'll either be doing Ruth's bedtime or mom does bedtime and then she comes out. Dad, you're up.

01:03:16
Speaker 1: I go up because she knows she gets a little she gets a little backscratch from Dad. But I'm sure that'll change whenever they get older.

01:03:21
Speaker 2: And you lay it on the law.

01:03:22
Speaker 1: It's like the other night, all the stir craziness from being locked in the house. It's like Rue comes down, Charles's doing Scotti's bedtime, and the whole thought before Charlo took Scotti up to do bedtime, and you go, you help that head downstairs, clean the kitchen, clean up the stuff, tidy everything up, and then you know, Rue gets to stay up a little bit longer and then we go up and do Ruth's bedtime. But she's kind of attached to like following Charlie around. Yeah, and so she goes up. And then whenever Rue comes downstairs, she just gets on the couch and I'm like doing the dishes and everything, and Rue just starts whining. She's just like, m you know, kind of just like won your attention. I kind of want you to ask ye. But it's the point of the day to where there's so many things going on, like between the power outage, the internet.

01:04:06
Speaker 2: You know.

01:04:06
Speaker 1: The next day we learned that there was like a slight gas leak. But even being in the new house, like all the delivery shipping stuff just gets derailed. So you're learning through the day, like all the things that need to get done in the house. Everything's kind of weighing on you. When you're there at the end of the day and you're thinking, all right, we're finally getting the bedtime.

01:04:23
Speaker 2: Rue comes down.

01:04:23
Speaker 1: She starts doing the whining thing, and I'm just doing the dish. I'm just thinking, like, the whining stuff just.

01:04:29
Speaker 2: It drives you. It drives you, drives me a little crazy, buddy.

01:04:32
Speaker 1: It's the worst. And it's okay to say, yeah, it's awful. And she's just on the couch, she's whining. I'm like, hey, Rue, I've told you we ain't doing this wining stuff. If you want, you need, you need, you need to talk to that and let me know what you want. And then I kind of take whatever it is. I go back to the pantry to put something away. She's now gone from the couch. She went upstairs, so I fill the milk up, get ready, you know, prep to go upstairs and bedtime. I walk into Scotti's room. Scotti is on mom's lap. Rue is also sitting in the with them both, and she's like curled up on mom.

01:05:02
Speaker 2: Now walk in. I'm like, hey, sweetheart, let's let's go. Let's go hit your bedtime.

01:05:05
Speaker 1: And she's just kind of sitting there looking at me, and I'm staring. I look at Charles and I look back down the room and I'm like, what's going on? And Charles looks at her. She's like, go ahead. She's like that that was mean to me. She said you were meaning to her down there, and I kinda I kind of smile because I'm thinking it's it's kind of funny. I go in there and I'm staring to both of them, and then was like that that was mean to me.

01:05:29
Speaker 2: And I'm like, here we go.

01:05:31
Speaker 1: I go and sit down on the little poof go there, hit my thighs.

01:05:36
Speaker 2: I sit down. I said, sweetheart, I'm sorry for being mean to you, but hard butt.

01:05:49
Speaker 1: I hit the butt, all right? There run the apology with the butt. Yeah, but that it tells you all the time. I don't like to respond to whining. So when you came downstairs, because mom, I look over at Chart and I say, because Mom, what happened was I was doing rude? Just came now I'm telling on room R just comes downstairs, doesn't say a word to me. She just gets on the couch and she just starts moaning and whining. So I'm like, hey, I'm not doing this whining stuff, like I'm trying to justify all my decisions with my wife, because she's gonna ask, so, what happened when you basically get down in front of it. I was like, so, rue, sweetheart, when you just come downstairs and don't say anything to Deadad and you just whine, Deadad starts feeling emotions inside.

01:06:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, I start feeling some bigger emotions than myself.

01:06:37
Speaker 1: So I just say, hey, we don't do the whining, and I'm not paying any mine because I need you to communicate with me when you feel that.

01:06:43
Speaker 2: I need you.

01:06:43
Speaker 1: Deada needs you to use your strong voice. She's kind of sitting there looking at me, and we kind of just paused. I look at your and I'm kind of like smiling because I realized, like I'm telling her that it does big emotions too, but that that feels stuff too, and this is a two way.

01:06:56
Speaker 2: Street, sweetheart.

01:06:57
Speaker 1: And I'm like, you want to come get dead A hug And she's like yeah, so we give a hug, we do bad time and uh de escalate the situation. But the whole coming down and the whining stuff drives me nuts. Bro yea sweet. You got to use a strong voice. We can't stop doing the whining.

01:07:12
Speaker 2: Yeah, the whinding thing to me is just a full stop. You're they We're not doing that.

01:07:17
Speaker 3: If you find this house like, if you have an emotion like we I always tell my kids, like, we communicate in this family. So if you feel that, you're okay to feel any emotion you want. Yeah, be mad, you can be happy, you can be everything in between, any variety of that emotion. But if you don't say how you feel, no one can help you.

01:07:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, so just speak.

01:07:39
Speaker 2: Just beat the sixers vent. Yeah, talking to me. That's a good note. And I loved the game.

01:07:44
Speaker 4: I wrote it down the if you can't talk about it that night, make sure you bring it up in the morning. I like that because it probably makes it feel very important to them that it's like, hey.

01:07:53
Speaker 2: That has remembered. He's bringing it back up.

01:07:56
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:07:57
Speaker 2: Sometimes you don't, though, and that's that's probably you gotta go to the back issues. But yeah, you have a cracker cool one.

01:08:04
Speaker 4: I do have a crack a Cold one, and then we got get into voicemails because we got to keep it under and out.

01:08:09
Speaker 2: I know, time is flying. Yeah, you know what that means.

01:08:12
Speaker 1: Where are we at right now? Like thirty minutes? Maybe?

01:08:15
Speaker 6: Yeah?

01:08:15
Speaker 2: Like fifteen?

01:08:16
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, you have thirty fifteen give or take. But you know what this means, all this fun and excitement. What this can't be the only time? Yeah, I know.

01:08:25
Speaker 2: I was thinking that too.

01:08:26
Speaker 1: I was like, no one should get through this. There's a couple things I just want to ask you. But yeah, and we'll get there. We'll get there. But no matter what, I think, we all know the magic, that's the shockwave that's happening.

01:08:34
Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, they.

01:08:36
Speaker 4: Say four times sake, I'll skip my crack a Cold one. I'll just dive into voicemails because I know we have some voicemails directed for Taylor, Okay, so I want to make sure that we give some good time.

01:08:48
Speaker 5: Sure, and they're technically not directed at Taylor. They are just three open voicemails. So if you would like to cut down on voicemails, there are none directed at him. So run the show as you would like, can I I know.

01:08:57
Speaker 2: That I just kind of got to invite back and I don't want to ruin it.

01:09:00
Speaker 1: Yeah yah, yeah, he really bad, is potty breast. And you can talk about your crack of cold one.

01:09:07
Speaker 2: Okay, crack a cold one.

01:09:08
Speaker 4: Okay, So I'll I'll segue crack a cold one into dad loss, because I actually had a really big dad loss, like a big one.

01:09:18
Speaker 2: Scarlet had her first booboo and it was on dead A's watch. Hey, and that is a tough pill to swallow.

01:09:25
Speaker 4: Bro and dude, it was really really bad because Jill saw me on my phone five minutes before said boo boo happened, and I was not on my phone when booby, Like I will, dude, I cannot wait to get up to heaven and say that I was not on my phone, like I will, I will die, I will go to the grave.

01:09:45
Speaker 2: I was not on my phone.

01:09:47
Speaker 7: And I'm talking out him right now to Jill as Scarlet's on her shoulder. I'm going, honey, I was watching the whole time, I can tell you. And she's like, check check your tone, check your tone, and I literally.

01:10:01
Speaker 6: Go, I go.

01:10:03
Speaker 1: I was watching the whole time. I was not on my phone.

01:10:06
Speaker 2: It starts.

01:10:07
Speaker 7: I started squeam scream whispering, dude, because I was so debiant. I was like, I swear to god, I was on my phone and uh, Scarlet. Basically what happened is she was She's propping herself up very very well. She's arching her back. She can like kind of one hand a little bit and like get this hand going on a toy. And so I'm very loosely holding her top like the back of her sweater, and I thought that I had her tight, and this arm completely gives out and she just nose dives into a hard toy and it bro As soon as she did it.

01:10:47
Speaker 2: There was a.

01:10:49
Speaker 4: Noise and like Mom instincts she had her back turned and was in the kitchen what what happened? And I'm already picked up Scarlet, and Scarlet is going into the biggest It felt like dragon ball Z, where like Goku like charges up his thing like Charlie was. And then it finally just came out. As soon as Mom was like walking up, I'm like, oh my god, it was you just doing.

01:11:17
Speaker 2: What time it was gonna be too since I saw you on the phone not too long ago.

01:11:20
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Jill. Jill thought I was on my phone. I was selling them I will go to my grave. I was not on my phone. I was watching and I got a little hot with Jill and not on my phone. And anyways, a dad hacked to come out of that. If your kid is going to daycare the next day, make sure to tell the daycare worker about said boo boo so they don't think if they don't see the booboo when you come in, they don't go, oh my gosh, did that happen on our watch? And then they're sitting there the whole day freaking out of how do we tell mister and missus young that you know, lump on, yeah, this happened on our watch. So I had to very embarrassingly be like, hey, remember when you all d md us that she needs wipers or wipes and diapers today?

01:12:06
Speaker 2: Forgot about those.

01:12:07
Speaker 4: And slash guess why she had her first movie last night on dad's watch And it's right here and right there.

01:12:14
Speaker 2: They were like, thank you very much for letting us know. Blah blah blah. I'm I'm kind of in the doghouse right now. It's okay, it's okay.

01:12:21
Speaker 1: It reminds me when I told this story, but when because I got to tell it after the fact. But when Charle was out of town and Scotty fell off the first step and it was remember the final two minutes.

01:12:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, like maybe missoo Kansas, I forgot and when it happened, I like, God, yeah, yeah, okay, kind of yeah.

01:12:39
Speaker 1: She fell earlier when I'm on FaceTime with you, and then the next week I'm like telling the story on four the Dads.

01:12:43
Speaker 2: Oh my god, I was watching football.

01:12:48
Speaker 1: And you just feel, God, you just feel so shooty because then when they're acting up that way, like having that dragon ball z kind of compulsion.

01:12:56
Speaker 2: Just charging up.

01:12:57
Speaker 1: The biggest crime, know where to put it? So fell was yesterday because Taylor called checked in when he saw that, uh the gas leak, that the slight gas leak and shot out Piedmont. They got over, no free shots of Piedmont, but they got uh they got over pretty quickly and fixed everything.

01:13:13
Speaker 2: But we were like, I don't know what was happening.

01:13:16
Speaker 1: We were kind of checking the power out of situation and come to find out, our service is not transferred over.

01:13:24
Speaker 2: Power is still power was still out no matter what he at and t no, no, not the talk about power and yes, we're still at the old house.

01:13:39
Speaker 1: We didn't get it, we didn't get transferred over, so it's still under the builder's name.

01:13:43
Speaker 2: I forgot how it came up. But again I forget how it came up.

01:13:49
Speaker 1: But the ball's basically sitting in my hands, because there's texts, there's exchanges that I was the one responsible for transferring the power over from the old house to the new house, which is the only place you don't ever want to be. Yeah, and so I'm calling ANYS not about power out. It is probably like, hey, can I need to transfer service over. The problem was is I couldn't find the account information and all our all of our information like billing and all that with ANYS because it was connected to like my logging and password is connected to my old EG that just stopped working all of a sudden, like a couple of years ago.

01:14:27
Speaker 2: So I'm trying to find it. I'm like, son of a bitch. I was like, I can't figure this out.

01:14:32
Speaker 1: And Charles like, so you said that you were going to handle the electric Because Charles trying to look through her stuff figuring out like cool different parts of moving houses, like who had what responsibility?

01:14:43
Speaker 2: Oh no, and I'm like, yeah, yeah, that one. It's solely on me.

01:14:48
Speaker 1: I said I was going to do it on like December twenty second, just you know, probably figured out like, oh, I can't find the account information. I'll try and find it later than fleading the brain Dad brains kicked the game down the six and I just get lucky eventually, probably my third try logging into NES through my old email, like finally getting the password right and I'm like, hey, got on the phone.

01:15:13
Speaker 2: Lady was awesome. They fixed and they get everything transferred over.

01:15:16
Speaker 1: Like the old house is actually getting shut down today, the new one it's getting transferred over today. That was a moment too where I'm like, fuck, I won't because I feel like Charles feeling that. I'm feeling it again. It's a late latter part of the day where just all of the obstacles that have just been coming through all the yeah, the five days of the power outage and everything else going on with the house, and again kids have just been in the house. School has been canceled all week long, like you swim at any lesson, they're all canceled, the delivery stuff derailed, and I'm just I feel in charge, and I'm just thinking to myself, oh god, that was that was that was like a that was like a dad husband.

01:15:54
Speaker 2: Low, that's a responsibility, yes.

01:15:56
Speaker 1: Ye part yeah alone in that I have a dad.

01:15:59
Speaker 2: But it's thing you know that you know then the White fees like, all right, let's see this. You hear the the size every now and then.

01:16:07
Speaker 1: And maybe I'm making it up in my head because I don't want to put her on full blast right now, but I'm just thinking, please don't. I'm thinking in my head, don't mention the electric to me again, because I know this is all.

01:16:18
Speaker 2: My fault and I'm handling it. Yeah, you haven't handled it for the last few weeks. I'm handling it now.

01:16:23
Speaker 3: It's getting handled, no't matter what it in and out of what happened a month ago, we're here now.

01:16:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, getting it done. That is just like let somebody down and you just know it's all on you, and you're just like you're already beating the shit out of yourself.

01:16:37
Speaker 2: Right.

01:16:38
Speaker 1: But when she comes down from a preventime because I got to do Scottie so I was done first.

01:16:42
Speaker 2: She's up there with Rue.

01:16:44
Speaker 1: I get it figured out the rest of way while she's up there with rue.

01:16:47
Speaker 2: So that one when she came down on my Hey, power stands for over. Got to take care of it. Let's go kind of like the the power just worked in your favor.

01:16:54
Speaker 1: It's like, hey, yeah, but then you do the retroactive thinking on I needed to have the surgency. If I would have just had urgency back when I needed to do it.

01:17:02
Speaker 2: This is my own war.

01:17:03
Speaker 1: This is my own self talking at this point, because I'm thinking, I just caught a slight dub. Hey, it's all handled.

01:17:09
Speaker 2: You can relax, right.

01:17:11
Speaker 4: A very simple dad hack, by the way, with the NES or any water bill or anything I cut out on the when they mail it to you, I cut out the account number and I tape it to like somewhere where you know where to find it, like the inside of our pantry, and I keep it there, and then I know, whenever I need to check all my stuff, where my info's at.

01:17:31
Speaker 1: That is a good hack. I think about things of that nature, and I just also think, like I'm so dumb, I'm going to forget where I put whatever it is.

01:17:41
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well, And the only time that Jill has ever threatened to leave me was when we came home to no power because I thought we were on autopay and we were not on autopay, so our electricity was out. And she said, if I ever come back to a home with you where the power is out because you forgot to pay the bill, I'm done.

01:18:00
Speaker 2: I said, no taking, no taking?

01:18:02
Speaker 1: What? Oh done? Heating out the gate?

01:18:04
Speaker 2: Don't?

01:18:05
Speaker 1: Yeah?

01:18:06
Speaker 2: No, Yeah, she said that hit me with the APR. You said that, honey, because.

01:18:11
Speaker 1: She hit she did?

01:18:14
Speaker 2: Or I'm done or I'm done, walk out of the room immediately. This whole thing. You'll be turning in your iPad tomorrow. You don't get this figured out. Yeah, I'm heated. We do need to get to voicema.

01:18:28
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:18:29
Speaker 2: Yeah. This one is titled just wait until.

01:18:38
Speaker 6: Hey guys, this is Dwayne Davis from Valdosta, Georgia, and uh, I am in the trenches right now, but this call isn't really a motherfucker or I guess it could be a crack of.

01:18:49
Speaker 2: Coal one just for all the dads. My wife and I heard a.

01:18:54
Speaker 9: Million times to wait, untils, wait until they poot on your hand, wait until they wake up. It was so frustrating hearing all that because we're six months in and we're still waiting because you haven't got shit on our hands and we're not sleeping.

01:19:11
Speaker 1: But it's the most awesome thing I've ever done, such a huge calling and a blessing. But uh, I heard a caller one time on the.

01:19:20
Speaker 9: Show say he couldn't wait for the kids that put themselves to sleep, and I agree with Will.

01:19:27
Speaker 1: What you said, man was enjoy it.

01:19:29
Speaker 2: It's gonna go by so fast.

01:19:30
Speaker 9: So yeah, everybody expecting are in the trenches, and you keep hearing people say, well, just wait until this or wait until that, just telling them to go fuck themselves.

01:19:40
Speaker 6: It's all guys, keep fighting a good fight.

01:19:47
Speaker 1: Love that calling because I like, I agree with that the whole wait until stuff like time goes by so fast, and I try to It's like I even try to reserve myself when I'm talking about, you know, waiting until they get to sixteen months when the personality comes live, or wait until they can walk.

01:20:03
Speaker 2: It's gonna be so much better this than that.

01:20:05
Speaker 1: I do my best to bite my tongue because it's so finite how long we get to be with the kids to where there are gonna be times where you're missing little footsteps. So you're missing to having to go up in their room or whatever it is that She's just like, dude, do your best because it's impossible, Like you're gonna get frustrated all the time. Yeah, but do your best to try and embrace all the moments because again, when it's gone, Like I talk about that digital frame that we have up in the house where you see all the old photos and this that the other, and you just miss them being little. I made the comment the other day to try, I'm like, I don't want Scotty to get any bigger because I just know them both now as rude, being three, having long hair, having her personality, putting words and sentences, like doing all this stuff, coming into her own and just kind of towering over Scotty right now. And Scotty's just you know, a little one year old and she's just got a little her little stains and stature where she's just kind of you know, rolls around the house, walks around, does her little stop.

01:20:59
Speaker 6: Ah.

01:21:00
Speaker 1: That's like all of her little things to where it's like I don't want that to be gone. I know there's better things that's gonna come and all that's gonna be awesome. But I just always like, I'm such a we talk about all the time, we cry all the time. Now I'm just such a sad boy when it comes to the Kenno's growing up and getting out of his face.

01:21:15
Speaker 2: This morning, I was telling.

01:21:16
Speaker 1: Rue, hey, rude, do you remember how you say together? And she was butchering and I'm like, no, you say todayga todaga because she's like togay 'or togay you're together. But now she's like because she's she'll let me know that she says together and like rolls the th h p r.

01:21:32
Speaker 2: She's got it down. Now you know, I just missed the good.

01:21:36
Speaker 1: I miss the todaygas. I just miss all those little words. So it is it's like I'm with yeah the whole. Like when people are like, oh, just wait until this or wait untill that, it's like, yeah, I get you, but just embrace every moment that you have, like it's all. Every phase is gonna be shitty, every phase is gonna have the ups and downs with it, but don't rush it.

01:21:54
Speaker 2: It's old age is like the days are long and the years are short.

01:21:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, because it really is like there's days you're just like, bro, if I could just get twenty minutes to myself kind of recharge my batteries and get back to neutral.

01:22:03
Speaker 1: That'd be amazing.

01:22:04
Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, like every opportunity to take with your kids now is going to pay dividends in the future. Yeah, just like rolling, rolling, and like investing in a stock over and over again, Eventually it's going to be massive. It's just been how much you want to invest?

01:22:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, like that one day when you crack a cold beer with them or crack a cold lollipop and they're older and they're adults, those those moments and memories are going to be incredible.

01:22:24
Speaker 6: Yeah.

01:22:25
Speaker 2: Like I'm not I'm not above saying that I'm not a huge fan of the diaper face.

01:22:28
Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't, I don't, I'm not. I'm not into that.

01:22:31
Speaker 3: But like looking at my eight year old now and remembering, like you talking about together and how they pronounce it. Like when when she was really young, she would say a home all the time, talking about a home, a home, a home, and she would give kiss his mouth wide open and it was yeah, yeah, you like do you want to give her kisses to the lips would.

01:22:49
Speaker 2: Just go over yours.

01:22:50
Speaker 3: I guess that's a kiss, and you think like you remember being in that moment so stressed with the situation. But then you like, sit here now and I'm looking at her, like and the wing goes to bed. Now, I'll put Willow asleep and I'll go and Win and I will just read and she will she has her book out, like she's like these comic style books called Wings of Fire, and she like, we'll just reach she'll go in, I'll come home and she'll just.

01:23:11
Speaker 1: Be reading like we just like do things together.

01:23:13
Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, like just wait till this.

01:23:15
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:23:16
Speaker 3: But then you get a moment where like literally last night, we're telling telling stories to the family that we that are staying with us beause their powers out they have no generator or nothing. And I'm like, we're talking about twenty nineteen when we were in California and we'll Win was there and blah blah blah. And you started to look at old photos and you're like, dude, I missed that. I miss like how little and how they used to the way they operated. But it's like, yeah, every phase you gotta do embrace and enjoy as much as possible, because my next phase is dating and I'm gonna kill how much?

01:23:46
Speaker 1: Sure?

01:23:48
Speaker 2: How much?

01:23:48
Speaker 1: Like is it?

01:23:50
Speaker 2: Fear?

01:23:51
Speaker 1: Stuff goes on it in your mind that like the older they get, obviously the kids separate more from us, like when they have their own friends, and that's not as cool because you're you're getting like closer.

01:24:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, there's already a phase of that going on in my household right now. With Win, she's she has friends over all the time. They always want to come over, whether it's like Natalie Bates's girl, she'll bring She'll bring all the kids over and they'll play the whole time. But like, uh, they're they're still in the phase where like they want me to play too. And if there's anything as a father that I can be like, I'm really good at this, it's playing.

01:24:24
Speaker 1: Yea, I will go into playing and I'll be like.

01:24:27
Speaker 3: The next three hours of my life is just this is what I'm doing. So I can go in there and play and the kids can have fun with me. They enjoy being around me more because they'll know that I'll go do the things they want to do. But you see her Win, Like I'd have the conversation with Win one time. It was like probably less than six months ago, and she told me, she's like, hey, Dad, like I feel kind of weird when you kiss.

01:24:50
Speaker 1: Me on the lips.

01:24:51
Speaker 2: Oh man, what do you What do you mean? She's like, because you're a boy, and she goes, well, you're a man.

01:24:58
Speaker 1: I'm like, damn right.

01:25:01
Speaker 3: She's like correct, I just feel like when you know, when I'm with people and all that, Like maybe we do a kiss in the cheek now. And I told her, I was like, sweetie, I'll always be willing to kiss you, like give you a kiss and love you up. But whatever makes you feel comfortable, And however you want this shit to go, it's up to you because eventually you're going to be we have. Like the thing about when and Willow is getting there too, is like when is says very profound things at times, like the way she she's very observant and very aware, which is really cool to see, but like sometimes you just got to be like, yeah, man, all right, if you don't want me to kiss you in the lips anymore, that's perfectly fine. So every day's a kissing the cheek now and I haven't kissed it. We we accidentally kissing the lips like a week ago and was like, Oh, I was like.

01:25:42
Speaker 2: Hey, am I bad? It mean to you? Blah blah blah.

01:25:46
Speaker 1: But uh, it's just crazy.

01:25:48
Speaker 3: It's crazy like how things are changing, and when's so good about being aware of feeling the feeling of wanting to be around friends a little bit more like when I'm playing my friends, Hey can I play with my friends? But yeah, I'll fall back, no problem. And then she'll be like, all right, come come hang out now. But it's constant communication about it because we sit there in bed, dude, and I'll tell when I'll be like, dude, someday, you're not gonna want to hang out with me, and Mom like, you're gonna it's She's like, why would you say that.

01:26:13
Speaker 1: I was like, it's just what happens.

01:26:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And I'm like, you're gonna you're gonna want to like explore friendships, explore relationships, explore boys, like you're gonna learn about all these things and Mommy and Daddy will like be like lesser than for a little bit. And our hope is that we create this foundation for you and a loving households where you just eventually like come back around, because that's what happens when you go through puberty and all these things, and we talk about kissing, we talk about how it all works and relationships and that, and it's like it's it's very weird. It's weird, but it's like also fulfilling because a lot of kids like me, I don't know how you guys were you kind of just found out about this stuff watching TV. Your friend would tell you about it, like you know, know all all like all those things. And so with Whin, it's like she's curious enough to ask me and mom questions about it. So I tell him, Like Teling's mom at a young age, she told and this is Miss Tanna, she's absolute queen. She's like, hey, just so you know, boys will fuck anything. Two they will go Taylor was like twelve years old. Yeah, she goes, they'll fuck anything, and they'll have sex with a pillow. They'll do this, they'll do that, Like these are how this is how boys operate, Like they will just want to know the wind Wind talks to me about kissing, but I have it when we talk about kissing, like as like the talk like I might like, hey, listen, boys will tell you anything they can to you to kiss them.

01:27:39
Speaker 2: And when you kiss them.

01:27:40
Speaker 3: There's gonna be a level of like fulfillment that some boys don't want to stay around. But some boys I want to kiss somebody else now to see if I like kissing them better.

01:27:48
Speaker 2: And that's just how it goes.

01:27:49
Speaker 1: And me like, how many people have you kissed?

01:27:51
Speaker 2: I'm like, couple? You know, No, I'm honest. I'm like, well, I'm not like, you know honestly, no, No, I tell her, you know, I'm like, hey, I've kissed people. I've kissed other people.

01:28:06
Speaker 3: And she asked me about other girlfriends and why didn't work and all these things, and she's like learning about how to established relationships. And she asked me, She's like, how do I know if I'm going to find the right person. I was like, can I just tell you how it universally works? And then it moves in a lot of different ways. Is you're going to watch your mom, and your your mom is going to show you how you should allow a man to treat you. So the way I treat your mom and the way your mom accepts the way I treat her is the way you're going to accept the way another man treats you.

01:28:33
Speaker 2: So that's going to help you.

01:28:34
Speaker 1: Find those borders.

01:28:35
Speaker 3: Your dad is going to show you what kind of man you should be with, because you're around me more than anybody, Like I am technically your I am your first love.

01:28:43
Speaker 2: She gets all bashfully.

01:28:44
Speaker 3: So we love each other. And I am the only man in your life that you see every single day. And you see the way I operate. You see how I talk to people. You see how I treat people. You see I treat your mother. What I do for your mother, what I don't do.

01:28:57
Speaker 1: For your mother.

01:28:57
Speaker 3: Where the friction is when every time me and has ever been in a fight, it's only been like two or three times in front of our kids. We make sure to have resolution in front of them so they know that, like, you don't just fight and you move on.

01:29:09
Speaker 1: You have resolution.

01:29:10
Speaker 2: So I tell them, like, hey, you're going to.

01:29:12
Speaker 3: Look for qualities in a man that you marry based off of me, whether you kind of like that or not.

01:29:18
Speaker 2: And that is God Like, that's how it's gonna be. And it's it's tough, dude, It's tough to have.

01:29:22
Speaker 4: Those Do you have a framework in your head right now of when you will allow her to start dating, or like what you want dating to look.

01:29:32
Speaker 2: Like at all not really, because.

01:29:37
Speaker 3: If she's like me, it'll be whatever boundaries you put in front of me, I'm gonna go across those boundaries. Yeah, And so it truly is just foundation and communication for me right now, and like you're going to be able to identify but not good boys is a good boy? Yeah, and like kind of helping her be like this is how a not good boy as, this is how good boy acts. Your daddy's been both me.

01:30:00
Speaker 1: Show you how they are.

01:30:01
Speaker 3: And we literally will role play these things with our hands and I'll be like, boys, do you think to kiss? You're like, well, how's that working.

01:30:07
Speaker 2: I'll be like, hey, you trying to kiss off. I'll be like what do you like?

01:30:14
Speaker 3: And she's like, well, I like animals, I like being outside all this, and I'll I'll be the boy. I'll be like, I love animals.

01:30:18
Speaker 1: Do you love animals? I love Oh, I love being outside. It's amazing.

01:30:21
Speaker 3: But we hang out like, yeah, i'd love to hang out. I'll see you tomorrow, go to sleep, come back, hey, so, And then he keeps going like can I kiss you?

01:30:28
Speaker 2: And she's like, well, no, I don't really know, just go I.

01:30:31
Speaker 3: Actually don't even like animals and I'll walk away. It'll be like that's kind of how Yeah, boys will tell you whatever you want to hear. Just get that kiss and it's heartbreaking.

01:30:42
Speaker 1: I like the I like the approach though, because again you're like, if you feel boundaries, you'll there are people out there that understand the mentality of the rebellious or I'm going to find and go over those boundaries. But it feels like too, it's like you can almost create the boundaries through all the foundational work of everything. So it's like almost the boundaries established. It's not like you're creating be like, hey, here's the boundary, right because I said.

01:31:02
Speaker 3: So, the boundary is foundationally We've said it right. I haven't said it, but we together, like father and daughter, have set this boundary for us and we know and what I One thing I've realized too is kids do so much better. My kids do so well with visually things like the win and will both want to like do more, they want to be more independent. Yeah, so all they show up like, Okay, this is you, this is your life. These are the things we allow you to do as parents, and this is you right in the middle of this allipop as you get.

01:31:31
Speaker 2: Older, this goes farther and farther, and if you go over here, I got to bring you back here. And then they like see that now, like okay, that's this is the amount of freedom you have now nine, ten, eleven, twelve. And the kids that resonates with them for whatever reason, the hand gestures, the talk like instead of just like telling them things petty more a quote once in a while.

01:31:50
Speaker 1: That they're like, what the what are we doing here with this quote?

01:31:53
Speaker 2: Yes, let's bring it? Yeah, yeah exactly. It's like using the can it goes exactly. It's just crazy.

01:32:00
Speaker 1: Man.

01:32:01
Speaker 3: Parent is so so fulfilling, so scary because you think you're doing good, but you don't know you're doing good. And then they're like adults.

01:32:08
Speaker 1: Till they become adult and if they're they're doing well or operating well, people speak well of them.

01:32:12
Speaker 3: How do you measure them doing well? Is it a successful job? Is the relationship they have, is the friends they have around them? Is because they want to be around you, Like, what are the things that make you a successful parent? And it's kind of it's terrifying, but every day if you like have that approach, it's like, now you're taking care of the little things. You're not as annoyed at the end of the night.

01:32:30
Speaker 1: Have you have you thought about what your first combos or anything will be like with the first boy that comes to the house in taking say, takes Win on a date? Yeah, lots?

01:32:44
Speaker 2: How does it go? God bless that? What's the movie with fifty cent when the guy comes over to this girl of problems?

01:32:49
Speaker 1: Thieves?

01:32:53
Speaker 2: You know we've been raised, You got the bad? Is your response? Exactly?

01:32:57
Speaker 3: I thought about that. I thought about like they're walking out the door and hey, hey, buddy, John's.

01:33:02
Speaker 1: Home, John John.

01:33:03
Speaker 3: He looks back at me and I taught toss a shotgun, sholl at him. I go comes a lot faster after.

01:33:07
Speaker 1: Ten pm something like that, like him with the bar.

01:33:11
Speaker 3: But it's also twenty twenty six, so I can you do that? Hey Taylor, the one tried to kill me or threaten to kill me?

01:33:18
Speaker 1: What did we had a eighty six or riding one time saying that whenever say they have to be home by nine, Yeah, nine o'clock, rows around to where the cars pulling in. Dad's just outside doing oh you chores around the house. They you know, the guy know, like, you're not gonna be able to sit in the driveway very long.

01:33:32
Speaker 7: Yeah.

01:33:32
Speaker 2: I like that, Yeah, a little longer out there, just like raking and what do we do with snow? Went outside? You're raking snow?

01:33:39
Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah.

01:33:41
Speaker 3: I guess I really haven't thought of how that conversation because it was to sit down like what are your intentions of my daughter? Yeah, but I like to be more like I don't care if they like me or not, but I want them to know how involved I am in my daughter's life, right right, And so I guess that's like figure out a way to land that plane that I haven't really dove too much into a few more years.

01:34:01
Speaker 1: Maybe I've thought about maybe just like putting a montage video together of all the father daughter moments. And you're sitting there and as he's watching, you start to cry, like as as he's watching the video, and you just let him know like she's been my responsibility my entire life.

01:34:16
Speaker 2: She's gonna go and get in the car with you, and now she's about to be your responsibility. It almost makes me theary.

01:34:22
Speaker 1: You're talking like God, I told well, well, and Jimy like hey, when she talks about seat belt, anything going on her instinct has been navigated by her being our responsibility her entire life.

01:34:33
Speaker 2: And now she's going to go in your vehicle because you have a seat belt story.

01:34:37
Speaker 1: I think you dated, she's going to go in your vehicle and now she's going to be your responsibility and the not I don't know if it's paying whatever you revolve to bring that back around, but hopefully you just make the gentleman feel that.

01:34:53
Speaker 2: They're now taking out like the most important thing in the world. Yeah, there's an element of pressure that is a good.

01:34:59
Speaker 4: Dad hack as as far as like I wasn't dating said girl, but I had a father essentially one he got my number without asking me for my number, so that was a little jarring, and then also just told me essentially what will said of like, hey, she's seventeen years old, she's she's gotten here because of me, Like I am the reason that she is here. She is now in your vehicle, So anything that happens from that point on, that's because of you. And he never threatened me or anything, but he was like, my daughter's safety is in your hands. I need both hands on the steering wheel, and that just let me know with her, like hey, if you're And I wasn't looking to date her, but I was like, whoever's dating that girl? Like they're going to be on their p's and q's because Dad's letting them know. Yeah, I'm on my p's and q's, so you better be too, buddy. Yeah, Which I liked it, like it was cool to give.

01:35:51
Speaker 1: Him to like respect their instinct like if you're out at a wherever you're at, there's a little maybe discomfort or you ask a question and you might see a little double taker up pause, like trying to get them to feel or respect.

01:36:02
Speaker 2: With that instinct. I don't know. It's something that I feel like all dads sit there.

01:36:07
Speaker 1: In juggle on, like, man, what's it gonna be like, Yeah, when that first boy knocks at the door, what I yeah, yeah, mister.

01:36:18
Speaker 2: Law, sit your ass down. I think it's just I don't know.

01:36:24
Speaker 3: With our kids, we are extremely blunt, like clear. You try to be as clear as possible on every situation, whether it's them understanding the concept of death, Like when Taylor's grandmother died, like it wasn't like well she went, it's like, hey, she is gone, and we're all gonna miss her, and we're all aot to feel these emotions, but like she can't come back because that's what it is. And with them and dating, it'll be the same thing. Like boys, I will tell when listen, the're gonna try to fuck you. I know it's crazy to say.

01:36:54
Speaker 2: And it's kind of like age here. It's like if you're if you're sixteen years old, it's like, dude, this is the reality. And like every boys and well, you're basically letting them know, like, yeah, I speak the language.

01:37:04
Speaker 3: You hear about it, right, right, I've been down this road, ye, like trying to date a girl and with hormones and the way they are, like this is how they're all gonna think. They're all gonna think like my kids both like their mother. They're both me very beautiful girls and that sucks, but it's also nice and it's like, understand your beauty is not your identity. That to me is one of the biggest things.

01:37:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, when those when the dads come up to you that you might just be acquaintances or just meet out and about out in the wild and they just come up they like you are you a girl? Dad?

01:37:35
Speaker 2: They see that you're two girls and they're like, good luck.

01:37:37
Speaker 4: Buddy, I know, I hate to cut it short because we are past Will's cut off officially by ten minutes.

01:37:48
Speaker 2: Would we want to go into our lesson of the week? Do we have any other themes? Hang on with me?

01:37:54
Speaker 3: Oh, here we go the notes go to kids stack. Ooh yeah, go to kids stack. This is not gonna be like, this is not gonna be one that one's like, oh yeah for sure.

01:38:11
Speaker 1: But jerky.

01:38:15
Speaker 2: Mature palate. Yeah maybe maybe. Back in the day, is there was there like a go to snack that you're like, I need it. We need to make sure we have this.

01:38:22
Speaker 1: There's ours ours right now it feels like it's apple sauce and it's gotta be the cupped apple sauce.

01:38:26
Speaker 2: Can't be the squeeze anymore. The squeeze. It's yeah, yeah, yes. By the way, we got to.

01:38:34
Speaker 1: Go to the go to snack is like yogurt, honey granola, like that's that's that's the bakfast, yeah staple.

01:38:43
Speaker 3: And it's like I'm hungry, I want this, and we got all the tailing. Dylan does not care about designer bags, she doesn't care about nice vehicles, she doesn't.

01:38:52
Speaker 2: Care about jewelry. She cares about.

01:38:54
Speaker 1: Quality of food.

01:38:55
Speaker 2: That's that's Tailings like number one thing.

01:39:00
Speaker 3: She's a huge jokes Like even when I would have like eighty dollars to my name, I spend more than half of it on a good steak like that. Yeah, like that's what she cares about. She dresses essentially if you see me, like she's the girl version of how I dress. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the same amount exactly.

01:39:16
Speaker 1: Uh.

01:39:16
Speaker 3: And so she's like big on like preparing snacks, having the best. If you're gonna have a bag like essentially processed snack, it's like gotta be no seat oil, no this, no that yeah perfect and so but jerky for us is like our kids are we cut it, Jason cuts it and then we put it in dehydrator season that.

01:39:36
Speaker 2: But oh you'll are doing your own jerky on jerky.

01:39:38
Speaker 3: Tailing cans her own peaches. She cans her own tomatoes in the summertime. So we have like a whole like a backstock of everything. Yeah, we have bees, so we have over every single year. So Tailing is she's dial.

01:39:51
Speaker 2: We still have a lot of colors, a lot of good colors.

01:39:56
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:39:57
Speaker 2: I love that breast milk in her out man. Yeah, tasting it. Yeah, you see is that right?

01:40:03
Speaker 1: Now? Come on man, come on man.

01:40:05
Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make sure you know.

01:40:06
Speaker 3: Yeah, a couple of switch back in the day when they first what was it called colostrum?

01:40:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, throw it in some coffee that's got a little some extra to it.

01:40:15
Speaker 1: Now yeah.

01:40:16
Speaker 6: Yeah.

01:40:16
Speaker 2: If it's good for kids in development, why can't it be good for a thirty four year old. Come on, man, let's go get a little Our brains are still developing. Yeah, no doubt. We need to rebuild our brains a little bit.

01:40:26
Speaker 1: Fifty six, Ye have it?

01:40:28
Speaker 4: A little colostrum? Calclostum will say, I've never tasted it.

01:40:32
Speaker 2: Oh you have it? Oh breast milk or colostrum? Both? Okay, both, okay.

01:40:37
Speaker 1: I never got a couple of SIPs. Yeah, I took a couple of SIPs. It's really not that bad. And even doing that, I felt like intentionally because one of my old neighbors he's like, bro, you gotta drink the breast milk.

01:40:48
Speaker 2: He's big on bro.

01:40:49
Speaker 1: A matter of fact, he was so far on its where he's like, uh, if you have any left overall, take it?

01:40:54
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, no, I'm done.

01:40:57
Speaker 7: Charlie was standing there, sorry, jar was standing in there when he right, Yes, that's the story.

01:41:03
Speaker 1: That's bold, dude, and found the youth. He's like, I'm telling you, I'm telling you dive in. I think there's I think there is a lot of like science. That's a true empty stick though.

01:41:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, crazy, but some people are about it like good for them. You've never tried it. It didn't it taste bad?

01:41:28
Speaker 7: Is mine?

01:41:28
Speaker 2: Now?

01:41:28
Speaker 1: Maybe on the.

01:41:31
Speaker 2: Come on now, we'll.

01:41:33
Speaker 3: Slip up and say, I know, and I think it's a good time because we are running over your time that you do have to leave.

01:41:39
Speaker 2: You guys know this.

01:41:40
Speaker 1: You guys know this.

01:41:40
Speaker 3: In the back, I did lie at the beginning of this podcast, I said, I've only been through buds twice. He did, I have now been through buds three times, and I am having a third child.

01:41:54
Speaker 2: Let's go. I thought this would be the most fitting place to announce it to the world.

01:41:58
Speaker 1: Let's go.

01:41:59
Speaker 2: Yes, So did we go any farther? Oh, you want to talk about the journey?

01:42:06
Speaker 1: You know, the gender of my young boy? I did?

01:42:14
Speaker 6: I did?

01:42:14
Speaker 1: No, I did hear something really scary. We're waiting.

01:42:18
Speaker 3: We gotta do the geneic testing. Okay, and then I'll it'll confirm that it's a boy. But everything I've seen on that ultrasound, buddy, we got.

01:42:26
Speaker 2: We got all right.

01:42:28
Speaker 10: The curse is broken, allegedly alleged allegedly because there were some things that scared me since I've told you guys about it, where they're like, hey, you got to make sure the twenty week thing and then you dial that in then we'll know for sure.

01:42:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, could be this could be just swollen labia.

01:42:43
Speaker 1: That's a big as.

01:42:45
Speaker 2: It was the movie foty year old version.

01:42:47
Speaker 1: Are you sure you don't use it? You lose it?

01:42:49
Speaker 2: No, No, where he's got it. He's got the ultrasound on the TV. Look at his day.

01:42:54
Speaker 1: Yeah. Is that not his foot? Yeah?

01:42:59
Speaker 3: But if it is actually a boy, which I'm ninety five percent sure it is, I can't wait. Man. I'm so excited to find out what it's like. I told I've told tale, I'll have a mini off as many kids as you want.

01:43:11
Speaker 1: This is. This is in the beginning, But if we have two girls, I'm done.

01:43:13
Speaker 3: I've been around too many guys and I've chased the boy over and over again. Then she's like, hey, move, we shd have another one. I don't feel like we're like finished yet. Yeah, I'm like kind of in Then I pulled back out and then I'm like, you know what, maybe we will. So I was playing this toxic relationship still little cat and mouse game, not a fun game for Tailing to play. Finally, I'm like, okay, let's do it.

01:43:33
Speaker 4: And you asked me to put a power point together? Uh one time?

01:43:37
Speaker 3: Yeah, because I was like because I eventually went to Taylor, I was like, we got to have another kid, and the conversation stem from us be on the bus where all you guys got a bully movie called Tail, like they have a third I guess after third. She's like, I'm not gonna have a third because you guys, just if you want to have one, you need to like prove it to me. So I went to Sherman and I was like, we might have to make a PowerPoint of why we actually all the cute ship you Jill gone through, we're having a third child. My kids will be nine and six when this one is born.

01:44:07
Speaker 2: Come on.

01:44:08
Speaker 3: Scary but also kind of fired up about that, dude, because both of them are very they're very like great with young kids. Like Rufe for example, when she comes over, when Willow will come up her, grab her hand, take her upstairs, like they've all owned so good with little kids.

01:44:23
Speaker 1: That's the girls too, Like it's boys, like I'm sixty years older than Wyatt. I don't feel like I was that you're nurturing. Yeahsx years old. But it feels like girls, dude, they just they're different. Man.

01:44:35
Speaker 3: I've looked at when in the eyes you're raising this one. Yeah, I'm here, like you need some of me to let me know, but I'm falling back.

01:44:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, like you know, I don't do the diaper face. You know, we're gonna have to some training, buddy, bro when Win's gonna crush it. That's one thing Willow too, man like.

01:44:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the crazy thing too, is when's like I don't know, I don't know if you were going to feel this way, but like when all the first her first or my first as well.

01:45:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, and then walks and them talking.

01:45:01
Speaker 3: Yes, it's more like it's like, oh awesome, Willow, she's walking, Oh awesome, she's talking. But it wasn't like it wasn't the first. Yeah, so it feels like she's kind of getting a little overshadowed a little bit, and so we've recently been like, look how great Willow is all things will is doing, because Willows like way more developed at five the Win was, and we tell why, just listen, your sister might be a damn genius. And it's just interesting how like the second one works and now having a third.

01:45:31
Speaker 1: And you can almost kind of foresee you a little bit like the middle child stuff because again, all the first with the first one, then you got in your situation Willow, and then the baby's gonna come in right, and it's like the baby's going to be catered to when Willow is the one being catered to a lot of the time because they were the baby for a while. And then this kind of middle child stuff formed because they're not experiencing the first of everything. They now have the awareness to be like, oh, Win's going through all the first of these things.

01:45:56
Speaker 2: Now I got somebody younger than me that all the entire worlds around this baby right now, age gap, will will benefit.

01:46:02
Speaker 3: Like I think the boy that have like two girls that are like and like Win and will They're great at they love playing and so like they can go do the thing all day and when it's great about bringing her along even when her older friends are there. Who's older than when Win's like, come on, Willow, she does a good job of being all the time. But she does a good job of it, so will It's like being intentional about like there's a hey, by the way, you're as much a part of this family as anybody, like you want to juice them up a little bit without.

01:46:27
Speaker 2: Like being too babying.

01:46:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, and so it'll be it'll be an interesting dynamic for sure, but you're very aware of like, oh, I understand why the the middle child, you know, stigma kind of comes up a little bit for sure. Yeah, fired, bro, I'm I dude, got your little little spring and comeback, coaches.

01:46:44
Speaker 2: I did say.

01:46:46
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.

01:46:47
Speaker 4: I said broke the curse earlier. I do just want to put out there that is not uh, that's not a bad thing. It's just an inside joke at the office that if you work at Bust and that you will only have a girl has become a joke.

01:47:01
Speaker 2: Is not a curse to you.

01:47:02
Speaker 3: I'm sure he'll understands that, Oh, it's not a girls. Having girls is the best because.

01:47:07
Speaker 4: I've been around Inside guide joke, inside busting guy.

01:47:10
Speaker 2: Takes a man to make a man.

01:47:13
Speaker 1: Come on, Willie, what you got the girls?

01:47:17
Speaker 3: The girls are like I've been around a bunch of boys, young boys, psychopaths, fit for a straight jacket. They they don't want to swim, but they jump at the deep end.

01:47:25
Speaker 1: What are we doing?

01:47:27
Speaker 3: And I do love like like Instagram parent stuff when like the has a slow mover like a kid, a guy pretending to be a kid, when kids, he's a corner and they're just like dive head that It's hilarious to me.

01:47:37
Speaker 2: I'm like, that's a boy.

01:47:38
Speaker 1: Has a boy right there.

01:47:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, get him a helmet, let him roll. Okay, topic quote less than a week.

01:47:45
Speaker 1: There's one I found speaking of dad stuff on Instagram. This one comes from a level of dad. This is a little This could be a tear jerker, okay, trying to keeping over under, trying not to cry here.

01:47:59
Speaker 2: I don't think so. I just I have no clue where my feelings start going when I'm reading something.

01:48:04
Speaker 1: Okay, one day, Uh, they won't run to the door when I walk in, and I won't know it was the last time. No little footsteps racing down the hallway, No shouts of Dad's home echoing to the house. Just quiet, the kind that reminds you how fast it all went. The toys will all be packed away, the message will be gone. The bedtime stories will turn into phone calls that come less and less, so while they still run to you, drop your bag, get on the floor, and soak it in because one day you'll miss the chaos more than you can imagine. Don't rush these days. They're the ones you wish you could run back to.

01:48:40
Speaker 2: It's a good thing that goes with the call in.

01:48:42
Speaker 1: I hate that one. I want to say, Yeah, all this stuff we're talking about with your kiddos being older, Yeah, so dude, yeah that is a nightmare thought. Yeah, dude, I watched The Parent Trap the other day with my kids and I cried during that.

01:48:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, bro, triithering anything.

01:49:01
Speaker 4: Now movies are hitting different for me, and I'm only six months in.

01:49:05
Speaker 2: When I just really get to do.

01:49:07
Speaker 1: It, who's there? I do it to you all the time.

01:49:14
Speaker 6: I know.

01:49:15
Speaker 2: It's never like uh, it's never like so like waiting till this.

01:49:20
Speaker 1: It's like awesome moments you're talking about it, never like the way this guy's talking. Oh yeah, wait, until you have to clean up this you don't know.

01:49:26
Speaker 3: And like, because my kids are so much older than your kids, I'm just like I feel like I'm like passing something down. I feel like a sense of like, hey, this is gonna be yeah, this is gonna be awesome. And you tell me stories about and I remember that face.

01:49:40
Speaker 1: Yeah. It's just really it's really cool because you think too, like as a parent, you know, for the most part, like between the ages of like what zero four, they probably won't remember a whole lot of ship. Yeah, So in my brain, I almost feel like it's like whether it's like a spiritual thing or universal thing that the first few years they're on the is like for us to enjoy as tough and as hard as it is, like as parents, they're like in there like in the world for you to soak in and enjoy more so than you know, you get to this spostor where you enjoy more when they are older and they can communicate with you better and you're having more fun with them, and just like not try my best to like not lose sight of that. Like when it is you know, you're getting stir crazy in the house and you're like, man, they just need you all the time.

01:50:25
Speaker 2: When they're a three year old and especially the.

01:50:27
Speaker 1: One year old, they just need you all the time, which can like weigh on you, especially when you start going back and forth with the wife a little bit, or you can just feel the chaos kind of taking all of us in one moment.

01:50:37
Speaker 4: That's the toughest battle for me, and y'all brought it up earlier with like the diaper stage. Is I really do find myself after a long day of work, I'm doing that final diaper change, that fine old bottle, and I am powering through it. I am going as fast as possible to get her down as fast as possible. And I truly do have to remind myself of like, dude, take your time and enjoyed that. Like she is so happy right now. She's not even crying.

01:51:04
Speaker 2: She's smiling in.

01:51:06
Speaker 3: The middle yourself, think, God, she's not crying. Like I get this baby to sleep, Yeah, I got it, man, there's made a good bedtime.

01:51:12
Speaker 2: Right in the middle of the night.

01:51:13
Speaker 1: And you're kind of like playing a weird little game with the wife, like can I just pretend to sleep right now? Like is she gonna get up quick? Is she gonna nudge me, am I gonna you know, oh buddy, Yeah, sometimes I personally believe no one can sleep like that. We have alarms go off. The girls like, hey, you.

01:51:31
Speaker 2: Make a little sleep talking too, just to really sell it. Yeah, hey boys, great, so great.

01:51:39
Speaker 3: I really appreciate you guys having me on I know lot of the buses right there. It's like I'm not around it, but appreciate.

01:51:45
Speaker 2: You guys having me in my buildings.

01:51:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, it is really cool to see you guys like build this. I see how fascet it's growing. Be a part of it in this this one episode. Would love to do it again with you. Yes, this is truly awesome and you're doing like you see the comment. It's like the community is growing and it's like a therapy session. It's been fun, bro, but this is they gotta do it more. It's like, I'm upset that I have to say because we could literally go for four hours. I was thinking the same and just asking him questions. Since he's got he's got the older ones.

01:52:15
Speaker 1: I want.

01:52:15
Speaker 2: I want to ask you guys like, yeah, this could be a three hour podcast.

01:52:18
Speaker 1: Let's do it against him too. You'll be you'll be almost getting reintroduced. You'll be having to go back in time and get reintroduced. Yeah, the things.

01:52:26
Speaker 2: Oh I kind of forgot about that. Oh dude. Yeah, baby boy, come in to the diaper, call me a bad person. I don't don't do that. Yeah, no, no, what's the emoji? What is the emoji? What should we do?

01:52:42
Speaker 4: Well, let's do let's do a h a blue heart for a little baby boy, blue hard. There we go, blue heart emoji. Listen to the end of the show.

01:52:51
Speaker 2: Blue heart emojis in the chat Dan, do you have a Dan Gable?

01:52:54
Speaker 1: I do? Uh?

01:52:56
Speaker 2: I shoot?

01:52:56
Speaker 1: I score?

01:52:57
Speaker 2: He shoots. I scored Dan Gable. Boom baby, Dan Gable, boom baby. Best man. Yeah, one of the goats. He can correct if they correct.

01:53:09
Speaker 1: Listen, I'm gonna beat you sick o boys. What can I say? Come on?

01:53:12
Speaker 6: Come on?

01:53:12
Speaker 2: How Tanny kisses
