<v Speaker 1>This is WWE superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to <v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast. <v Speaker 2>Stop the show. The one that everybody wants me is <v Speaker 2>God tell. <v Speaker 3>Stand three sixteen said, just what your ass is? <v Speaker 1>My Arron? You can acknowledge me? <v Speaker 2>Well, what's going on? Everybody? Time for the Monday Night <v Speaker 2>Raw Review on this eighteenth day of February twenty twenty five. <v Speaker 2>Welcome to the show. Welcome to some fun wrestling talk. <v Speaker 2>I hope, hope it's a little bit of an escape <v Speaker 2>for you for whatever you're doing today, whether you're at work, <v Speaker 2>whether you're about to go to work, whether you're coming <v Speaker 2>home from work, whatever the case. Or maybe you're you're <v Speaker 2>staying at home, stay at home by yourself, with the kids, whatever, <v Speaker 2>This is your escape. It's my escape now. I know <v Speaker 2>that this is my escape to just to talk wrestling, <v Speaker 2>talk about something that doesn't really affect my real world, <v Speaker 2>you know, work, life, stress, money, all that. This is <v Speaker 2>just my time and it's hopefully your time. Not that <v Speaker 2>I'm here to give you a lullaby and let you <v Speaker 2>fall asleep, although you can if you want. This is <v Speaker 2>time to talk wrestling, as you would imagine, and we're <v Speaker 2>going to get to that and just talk about Monday <v Speaker 2>Night Raw. We're gonna talk a little bit about elimination Chamber. <v Speaker 2>A lot of consequences from Raw that affect the Chamber, <v Speaker 2>one of them being the seth Rollins victory over Finn Balor, <v Speaker 2>which is to be expected. You do wonder what the <v Speaker 2>hell they have in store for Finn Balor now that <v Speaker 2>he's not in the Chamber and now that he doesn't <v Speaker 2>really have a clear bath to WrestleMania. Exactly what is <v Speaker 2>in the cards for Finn Balor. We don't know that. <v Speaker 2>That is certainly something that is going to have to <v Speaker 2>be analyzed over the coming weeks if you're a Judgment <v Speaker 2>Day fan, particularly of Finn Balor's, Exactly what they're doing <v Speaker 2>seth Rollins in the chamber is again, it's a predictable <v Speaker 2>It's a predictable victory for him to get into the chamber. <v Speaker 2>But as most of us expect, and I guess a <v Speaker 2>spoiler alert, it's likely that Roman Reigns ends up screwing <v Speaker 2>seth Rollins somehow in the Chamber to pay back what <v Speaker 2>happened at the Royal Rumble with the double stomp on <v Speaker 2>the outside. It's on in all likelihood Seth Rollins is out, <v Speaker 2>you have a lot of other potential competitors. As Triple <v Speaker 2>H put it on his X account, he said, you know, <v Speaker 2>some newcomers and some veterans here in the elimination chambers. <v Speaker 2>Now that they are fully set and ready to go <v Speaker 2>in less than two weeks, I would imagine there's going <v Speaker 2>to be a lot of you know, maybe a fatal <v Speaker 2>four a match or some kind of six woman six <v Speaker 2>man tag team match that could pit the baby faces <v Speaker 2>against the Heels, that kind of thing over the next <v Speaker 2>coming weeks to fill some TV time and build anticipation <v Speaker 2>for the match, and one that I think is going <v Speaker 2>to be really entertaining, particularly the men's side. Many of <v Speaker 2>you may not like Logan Paul on any level, but <v Speaker 2>objectively he's going to make that match better. From just <v Speaker 2>a pure entertainment perspective, we're not really invested in his <v Speaker 2>character emotionally yet. That'll come for better or worse. But <v Speaker 2>it's really about inserting him in there to number one, <v Speaker 2>get him some exposure, but to also really up the physicality, <v Speaker 2>up the craziness of the match. I just hope that <v Speaker 2>Logan Paul doesn't end up hurting himself or someone else <v Speaker 2>in that chamber. With the things he can do and <v Speaker 2>that he's capable of, it does scare me a bit <v Speaker 2>knowing that he puts himself sometimes at an unnecessarily high <v Speaker 2>risk of injury. So there is that to look forward <v Speaker 2>to or not look forward to, as the case may be. <v Speaker 2>But either way, even the women's match does look entertaining <v Speaker 2>as well. You have some some newcomers, you have some vets, <v Speaker 2>as Triple H said, And we'll talk about the elimination <v Speaker 2>chamber matches a little bit down the road here, but <v Speaker 2>let's get into the first things first here, and that <v Speaker 2>is Monday night raw. We'll start right from the beginning <v Speaker 2>as we do here every week. And we had William <v Speaker 2>Byron daytona five hundred winner who he pulled out or <v Speaker 2>into the parking arena. Again, you could put him in <v Speaker 2>a lineup. He could walk into my house and I <v Speaker 2>would have no idea who he is. Kind of par <v Speaker 2>for the course for me with any kind of entertainment <v Speaker 2>current celebrity you know, or musician. It's not exactly my <v Speaker 2>forte but okay, William Byron climbed out aj styles know him. <v Speaker 2>He climbed out of the passenger side and gave Byron <v Speaker 2>a replica title belt, and then Sammy Zaine comes out <v Speaker 2>and Zane flexed his neck to sell the package pile <v Speaker 2>driver from Owens, and a Sammy Champ broke out. Sammy <v Speaker 2>said said it had been a rough couple of weeks, <v Speaker 2>and he doesn't know of two wrestlers who have been <v Speaker 2>tied together as long as he and Owens have, and <v Speaker 2>in a relationship as long as theirs. There's a lot <v Speaker 2>of betrayals. Well, actually, no, that's not what happens with <v Speaker 2>long term relationships. In fact, long term relationships are usually <v Speaker 2>built on trust. So there's that, but sure, in pro <v Speaker 2>wrestling land that's probably true, but in real life no, However, <v Speaker 2>he said, here's to lots of also to lots of forgiving, <v Speaker 2>but not this time. And he said that Owens tried <v Speaker 2>to end his career and the problem for Owens is <v Speaker 2>that he didn't get the job done. He recalled saying <v Speaker 2>Owens would be on the chamber and Zaye said he's <v Speaker 2>going to be there too. That's when Adam Pierce comes <v Speaker 2>out with a mike and asks Zane what he's doing, <v Speaker 2>and he told Zane the answers no to having a <v Speaker 2>match because of basically the liability for the company, and <v Speaker 2>Pierce said Zain is not medically cleared and apologized and exited. <v Speaker 2>He then called for Pierce before he could head backstage, <v Speaker 2>and he eventually convinced Pierce that I'm not going to <v Speaker 2>take no for an answer and that Pierce said it's <v Speaker 2>true that he's known Owens and Zane for twenty years, <v Speaker 2>but he can't sanction the match. Pierce asked if Zayne <v Speaker 2>wanted him to do something he's never done before, and <v Speaker 2>Pierce spoke about the violent things that Owens could do <v Speaker 2>to Zay and added he would not be able to <v Speaker 2>stop him, and Pierce said there's no referee to enforce <v Speaker 2>the rules. He said, the risk is all Zayan's and <v Speaker 2>it would be for very little reward. Even if you <v Speaker 2>win this thing, you still lose. He spoke about Zayn <v Speaker 2>potentially having a final match at the Chamber and asked <v Speaker 2>if he understood, and Zayne left the ring. He went <v Speaker 2>face to face with Pierce and he got his unsanctioned <v Speaker 2>match at the Elimination Chamber with Kevin Owens. So for <v Speaker 2>me personally, this match is coming a month early, or <v Speaker 2>really eight weeks early. But I'm not sad about that <v Speaker 2>at all. In fact, these two you know, for a fact, <v Speaker 2>they work well together. They weren't excellent together as a team, <v Speaker 2>they work excellent together as opponents. So them here in <v Speaker 2>a match at Elimination Chamber makes sense, even though it's unsanctioned. Now, <v Speaker 2>just because they're having a match you're at Elimination Chamber, <v Speaker 2>doesn't mean that it automatically exempts them from having a <v Speaker 2>match at WrestleMania. Because having a match of WrestleMania, as <v Speaker 2>we know, doesn't mean that they that we haven't already <v Speaker 2>seen the match recently. I mean, look at Damian Priest <v Speaker 2>and jay Uso for example. I thought that match wasn't <v Speaker 2>gonna happen at WrestleMania because oh, I don't know, it <v Speaker 2>just happened. But nope, we're getting it. So just because <v Speaker 2>Zaane and Owens are having a match now unsanctioned at <v Speaker 2>Chamber doesn't mean that they can't build to another one <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania. And potentially maybe Helen a Cell, maybe Helena <v Speaker 2>sell Or Zane and Owens, maybe that's where this thing ends. <v Speaker 2>And you know what, I just I haven't really given <v Speaker 2>that much thought, but to me if they want to <v Speaker 2>build this a little bit more. And given it's an <v Speaker 2>unsanctioned match, which means, how do you win if there's <v Speaker 2>no referee, you don't. It's just whoever beats their opponent. <v Speaker 2>You know, more senseless wins if there is such a thing, <v Speaker 2>and that is what builds to WrestleMania. So the more <v Speaker 2>I think about it, the more that this is just <v Speaker 2>a precursor. It's a chapter in the book that leads <v Speaker 2>to WrestleMania for Zane and Owens that could end up <v Speaker 2>in Helen a Cell. I haven't heard anyone else talking <v Speaker 2>about that. It's something I had just kind of thought <v Speaker 2>of on the fly. And these two, you know, given <v Speaker 2>the fact that they have such a long history, Helen <v Speaker 2>a Cell is deserving of what these two have gone <v Speaker 2>through over the years. So that's that's my thought right <v Speaker 2>now with where the two her going. And hey, you <v Speaker 2>know that there's no issue with anybody having these to <v Speaker 2>face one another. There's just the chemistry is off the <v Speaker 2>charts and they're going to put on a hell of <v Speaker 2>a show. But if they don't put Zaane and Owens <v Speaker 2>together for WrestleMania, I do fear that they will be <v Speaker 2>put in some you know some they'll either be left off, <v Speaker 2>which doesn't seem likely, or more likely, if they don't <v Speaker 2>face each other, they'll be put in some kind of <v Speaker 2>you know, a multiman match for the Intercontinental title. On <v Speaker 2>the raw side of things, That's what I think will <v Speaker 2>happen if they don't put Zayane and Owens together for WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>All right, So we then have the Judgment Day clubhouse, <v Speaker 2>where Dom told Live that he heard bel Air and <v Speaker 2>Naomi were looking for her. Morgan said she wanted to <v Speaker 2>talk about him instead, and Morgan said Dom will beat <v Speaker 2>ag Styles and Dom talked about adding a new member <v Speaker 2>to the faction and noted that whenever he mentions the idea, <v Speaker 2>he gets yelled at by Finn, and Finn asked if <v Speaker 2>someone said his name. Balor said there would be three <v Speaker 2>members of Judgment Day at the elimination chamber because Morgan <v Speaker 2>qualified he's going to beat Seth Rollins. And then he <v Speaker 2>told Mquel Rodriguez that it would be embarrassing if she <v Speaker 2>lost to Roxanne Perez. Not a good night for Finn predictions, <v Speaker 2>I have to say, But Rodriguez told him she would <v Speaker 2>handle her business, and then told Balor to handle his <v Speaker 2>Balor got serious and told Dom there would be no <v Speaker 2>new members. Carlito was in the room made his exit <v Speaker 2>with the man after Morgan told him to go, and <v Speaker 2>then footage arrative is show Speed talking about being speared <v Speaker 2>by Breaker. He said he had a bad headache and <v Speaker 2>thought he was going to die. Well, yeah, it looked <v Speaker 2>like you died in ring, so all right. We then <v Speaker 2>continue with AJ Styles versus Dominic mysterio this mad Let <v Speaker 2>me look at the time here, I'm curious. Eight minutes <v Speaker 2>and fifty seconds. It did feel a little bit quick. <v Speaker 2>Here AJ beats Dominic with the Styles clash. After the match, <v Speaker 2>bron Breaker comes in. He waited for Styles to turn around, <v Speaker 2>and I actually thought he was gonna hit the spear <v Speaker 2>the spear on Styles, and he didn't. Stiles stepped aside <v Speaker 2>and it allowed Breaker to spear Dom and that allowed <v Speaker 2>Styles to then hit a jumping in siguri that hit <v Speaker 2>that toss Breaker to ring side. Breaker removed his shirt <v Speaker 2>through it at Styles who caught it, which is kind <v Speaker 2>of funny. And then Stiles looked at the air cotton <v Speaker 2>belt that was in the corner and Breaker grabbed it first, <v Speaker 2>So uh yeah, fine. This is It was interesting that <v Speaker 2>Bron didn't actually get the spear on on AJ. You <v Speaker 2>could to really heat this program up he hit Dom, <v Speaker 2>you know, not that Dom is gonna, you know, have <v Speaker 2>this kind of magical force awakened inside of him from <v Speaker 2>this spear. But it's one that could allow Dominic to <v Speaker 2>be in the conversation for the Intercontinental title. Even if <v Speaker 2>no one wants to see Bron Breaker versus Dom. If <v Speaker 2>you throw AJ into the mix, you could have Don <v Speaker 2>versus Breaker versus AJ if you want to have some <v Speaker 2>multi person match for the Intercontinental title. So I'm fine <v Speaker 2>with it. I feel kind of neutral. It's just weird <v Speaker 2>that breaker spear Dom it, you know, because it's focus. <v Speaker 2>I thought was gonna be on just AJ, but I'm not. <v Speaker 2>I'm not hitting it. I think it's fine. No, no, <v Speaker 2>no complaints for me on that side of things. But okay, <v Speaker 2>So then we had backstage, Julius and Brutus were laughing <v Speaker 2>while bragging to Ivy Nile about what they did to <v Speaker 2>the war Raiders. She thought it was funny, but then <v Speaker 2>reminded them that they all promised Chad Gable they would <v Speaker 2>have gold when he returns and Dakota Kai was walking <v Speaker 2>through the arena for a moment, Ivy Nile was in <v Speaker 2>the ring. So we get a match here, Dakota Kai <v Speaker 2>versus Ivy Nle. This is for a shot at the <v Speaker 2>Women's that Are Continental Championship. This match lasted just under <v Speaker 2>seven minutes, with the finish being Dakota Kai stomping Niles <v Speaker 2>head into the mat and then hitting a G T <v Speaker 2>K and got the clean victory. And then after the match, <v Speaker 2>after Dakota Kai beats Ivy Nile to get a shot <v Speaker 2>at the Women's Icy Belt, Lyra Valkyria comes in holds <v Speaker 2>up the belt while looking at Kai. They build this <v Speaker 2>as a rematch of the finals in the tournament that <v Speaker 2>resulted in Valkyria beating Kai to win the belt. And <v Speaker 2>that's a good way to sell it because otherwise it <v Speaker 2>feels very cold. I bet you a lot of fans <v Speaker 2>forgot that was the final. I did so when I <v Speaker 2>heard that, I go, yeah, cool, okay, we've seen these <v Speaker 2>two wrestle a little bit to the history there a <v Speaker 2>little bit so fine, you know, anything you can build on. <v Speaker 2>Cold matches are never usually a good place. It's not <v Speaker 2>a good place to be. They happen, and they're a <v Speaker 2>part of wrestling. And I don't need every match to <v Speaker 2>have a crazy backstory. But if you can pull on anything, <v Speaker 2>you do it. You do it to try to get <v Speaker 2>people's emotions somehow involved, and that's what they're doing here, <v Speaker 2>and I just like that. I was reminded that it <v Speaker 2>was a rematch of the finals, all right. So a <v Speaker 2>video package then aired of that led to Jay choosing <v Speaker 2>to challenge gun There for the world title last week, <v Speaker 2>and so there was that, and then we have Gunther <v Speaker 2>standing at a concourse, surrounded by fans who are channing. <v Speaker 2>Yet Guntherer walked into the arena, stood at the top <v Speaker 2>of the section where Jay normally comes in, and he <v Speaker 2>encouraged fans to pump their arms, and Gunther said that <v Speaker 2>performing for the fans is like reading Shakespeare to a dog. God, <v Speaker 2>he's great. He said, he's sick of entering the ring <v Speaker 2>with people who can't lace his boots. That true, by <v Speaker 2>the way. He said he was hoping that Jay would <v Speaker 2>make the right decision, but the fans gave him a <v Speaker 2>false sense of confidence and forced him to dig his <v Speaker 2>own grave. And then he came down the steps and <v Speaker 2>talked about how the fans smell, and said he outclasses <v Speaker 2>Jay in every aspect of the sport. I mean, no <v Speaker 2>lies detected, no lies detected. Gunther is just a straight <v Speaker 2>shooter here, I really, I mean, I love the Gunther <v Speaker 2>character so much, so much. He's just he's just a <v Speaker 2>pure wrestler. He's not interested in entertaining anybody. He's not flashy. <v Speaker 2>He doesn't have a crazy entrance. You know, it's very <v Speaker 2>matter of fact. He's professional. He's about competition. He's a <v Speaker 2>legit badass. He knows who he is. He looks like <v Speaker 2>a throwback wrestler. He's got all the damn tools. And <v Speaker 2>he's not just looking the part. He has played the <v Speaker 2>part and played it well. Gunther is easily and could <v Speaker 2>easily be the face of a company. He could easily <v Speaker 2>be it. Now who's the face, of course Cody is, <v Speaker 2>but Gunther. I don't think he's talked about enough. All right, <v Speaker 2>So Gunher told the fans that Jay's blood will be <v Speaker 2>on their hands and to be honest. He told the <v Speaker 2>fans to also be honest with themselves and questioned if <v Speaker 2>they really think Jay can beat him. He dropped to <v Speaker 2>the floor and said he wanted to get a professional opinion. <v Speaker 2>And he got into the broadcast table and he asked <v Speaker 2>Michael and Pat McAfee, you know, do you really believe <v Speaker 2>that Jay has a chance to beat me at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>McAfee eventually said yes, and it looked like he was <v Speaker 2>going to, you know, maybe attack Gunther was going to <v Speaker 2>attack Pat McAfee for saying that. And that's when Jay <v Speaker 2>comes out and the referees stood in front of Ja <v Speaker 2>and Jat's listening to them and then darted past them, <v Speaker 2>slid in the ring, and that's where the explosion happened. <v Speaker 2>Security guards, referees, producers, the usual crew come in the <v Speaker 2>ring to stop Jay. Of course, security i e. The <v Speaker 2>local wrestling talent dressed as security ended up taking a <v Speaker 2>bunch of bumps and Jay broke free, got a shot <v Speaker 2>in at Gunther, who went to ringside, and then Gunther <v Speaker 2>was barking at Jay while the producers ushered him to <v Speaker 2>stage and gun through T's running past them. But of <v Speaker 2>course he didn't really good this is I mean, it <v Speaker 2>is a this is a good segment. This is as <v Speaker 2>good as you can expect this program to be. This <v Speaker 2>program while to me it was not, jayusso who I <v Speaker 2>would have picked to win the rumble. I still don't <v Speaker 2>think he's the right choice, but he's not a bad choice. See, <v Speaker 2>there are good choices, great choices, and okay choices. I <v Speaker 2>think Jay fell in the good choice. I don't think <v Speaker 2>it was a great choice to win the rumble. Is <v Speaker 2>it very predictable that he's gonna probably beat gun thro <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania? Yes, yes it is. And the fact that <v Speaker 2>we just saw this match takes a lot of the <v Speaker 2>anticipation out of the match at WrestleMania. Even if they <v Speaker 2>do have another seven weeks to prepare and build and talk, <v Speaker 2>and they'll do it as good of a job as Again, <v Speaker 2>if this week is any indication, Jay and Gunther, I <v Speaker 2>think may even have me excited, you know by the <v Speaker 2>time WrestleMania rolls around in a month and a half. <v Speaker 2>So you know, this is a program again that is predictable, <v Speaker 2>but this is the kind of stuff that you need <v Speaker 2>to do, and it was executed very well. Do I <v Speaker 2>need to see a pollpar brawl with security getting their <v Speaker 2>askicked every week? No, And they should probably next week <v Speaker 2>do a sit down interview, do a via satellite interview, <v Speaker 2>something like that. You know, or just not have them <v Speaker 2>both on the show and do a you know, a <v Speaker 2>video package. I know that's not fair to the well, <v Speaker 2>if you're in person, you feel it's not fair, But <v Speaker 2>for the at home crowd, I think it's also something <v Speaker 2>that would be acceptable to build this program forward, to <v Speaker 2>change it up, not always have these pull apart brawls. <v Speaker 2>So good stuff. I have no complaints about this segment <v Speaker 2>at all. And by the way, the other thing that <v Speaker 2>they're trying to sell, which I don't buy at all, <v Speaker 2>because it's just incredibly predictable that most likely, although not <v Speaker 2>one hundred percent, Jay Uso wins at WrestleMania. They're trying <v Speaker 2>to sell the narrative that Jay has no chance and <v Speaker 2>does anybody really think jay Uzo can beat me? They <v Speaker 2>have to pick a path, it's the only path they <v Speaker 2>can choose. But Jay saying, you know, everybody's saying I <v Speaker 2>can't beat out there? Who's saying that? Who? The writers <v Speaker 2>are telling you to say that, But the fans aren't <v Speaker 2>saying that. They all know you're most likely going to win. <v Speaker 2>In fact, they're saying the exact opposite. But the story <v Speaker 2>they're telling is that he's the massive underdog, not exactly <v Speaker 2>an original narrative, but one that is safe. It's a <v Speaker 2>safe a storyline, and I wouldn't go crazy, and I'd <v Speaker 2>stay this, just stay the safe road, go the safe route. <v Speaker 2>That's fine. This program is just fine. I can't describe <v Speaker 2>it any better. It's just fine. It doesn't get me excited, <v Speaker 2>it doesn't really necessarily bore me. It's just fine. Let <v Speaker 2>me know how you guys feel. Email me mailbag at <v Speaker 2>wwepodcast dot com. I'll put it on the show for <v Speaker 2>our mailbag on Fridays. Then we get Penta versus Pete <v Speaker 2>done ten minutes and forty seconds, with Penta, of course <v Speaker 2>beating Pete done. Pent is not losing any time soon. <v Speaker 2>The finish was done, barking at Kaiser to stay out <v Speaker 2>of his business. Penta then ran Done into Kaiser, which <v Speaker 2>not Kaiser off the apron and then Penta hit Done <v Speaker 2>with a Penda driver and pinned him. That's it. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I mean, so you know one thing I was thinking <v Speaker 2>about too. Whenever that next round of cuts come, maybe yeah, <v Speaker 2>postmania Pete don scares me. He's after being Pete done, <v Speaker 2>then to Butcher, back to Pete done. He's worked with <v Speaker 2>Seamus sure He's good in the ring, but the personality <v Speaker 2>just doesn't seem to be there. He's got and I'm <v Speaker 2>just calling a spade a spade while he could. You know, <v Speaker 2>he's an I think, a really good n ring worker, <v Speaker 2>and I'm not crapping on his game. I'm just telling <v Speaker 2>it like it is from a visual perspective, which is <v Speaker 2>important in his line of work. He looks like a kid. <v Speaker 2>He doesn't have the it factor when you look at him. <v Speaker 2>Like he may wrestle the part, but that intangible star <v Speaker 2>quality for Pete Dunn just isn't there. I don't know, <v Speaker 2>He's just like a blank slate to me. Again, nothing <v Speaker 2>on him on a personal level. It's just how I <v Speaker 2>feel looking at him. I don't know if he needs <v Speaker 2>a haircut. Something needs to change with him visually for me, <v Speaker 2>I don't know if it's his gear. He looks like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>like a junior or senior high school kid when he's <v Speaker 2>out there wrestling. Not that Again, his athleticism is not <v Speaker 2>at that level. His athleticism is, you know, top notch. <v Speaker 2>It's just that his visuals of how he looks and <v Speaker 2>how he carries himself it doesn't feel like star to me. <v Speaker 2>Just one man's opinion. But this match here with Penta <v Speaker 2>and Pete don I mean, hell, you're looking at two <v Speaker 2>guys that are, you know, lightweights, and if there were divisions, <v Speaker 2>these guys would be, you know, maybe middleweight, probably lightweight, <v Speaker 2>and they work well together, fast paced. The Penta driver <v Speaker 2>I'm becoming more and more a fan of, although one <v Speaker 2>wrong slip and you know you're paralyzed. The Penta Driver, <v Speaker 2>you got man. I hope he doesn't try to do <v Speaker 2>that at anybody that's you know, a lot heavier than him, <v Speaker 2>because you're you're asking for trouble. The Penta drivers, if <v Speaker 2>you haven't really looked at it, it's a it's a <v Speaker 2>really nice maneuver that is legitimately a finish and Pete <v Speaker 2>Dunn took like a champ. So all right after the match, <v Speaker 2>Kaiser comes in attacks Penta and then Done pulled Kais <v Speaker 2>on the floor and they traded punches until Penta dove <v Speaker 2>onto both of them. So Penta continues to get good <v Speaker 2>reactions from the audience. By the way, he's continuing to <v Speaker 2>connect with the fans, and that's a good thing. I'm <v Speaker 2>still of the belief that anybody posts Raymisterio will always <v Speaker 2>be compared to Raymisterio forever and always any luchador, and <v Speaker 2>so Penta does have that looming over his head and <v Speaker 2>will forever. But Penta is carving his own path, unlike <v Speaker 2>Ultimo Dragon or Dragon Lee or you know, any of <v Speaker 2>the other lucadors who have kind of come and gone <v Speaker 2>since Raymisterio has been in de to be. Penta's got <v Speaker 2>a different feel to him and as a luchador, and <v Speaker 2>that's that's a good thing. That's a good thing. You <v Speaker 2>need to differentiate yourself completely from Raymisterio if you ever <v Speaker 2>want to be able to walk out from underneath that <v Speaker 2>cloud of being always compared to Ray. So Penta's momentum continues. <v Speaker 2>That's good. So jau So was then interviewed by Kathy <v Speaker 2>Kelly backstage. Jay was flustered. She asked him how he <v Speaker 2>felt confidence wise, and Jay said people doubted him. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>again this whole doubt narrative. And he said, did say <v Speaker 2>he can't beat Gunther? Well, no, we only said that <v Speaker 2>the last time because the timing was wackad do this time, <v Speaker 2>no one's saying that because we know the stage, we <v Speaker 2>know the story, we know you're the rumble winner, Like, <v Speaker 2>no one's saying that this time, Jay, no one? Okay, <v Speaker 2>would I have now if I was booking this, I'd <v Speaker 2>have Gunther destroyed ja Uso. I mean, it wouldn't be <v Speaker 2>a squash, but it would be another decisive victory for <v Speaker 2>Gunther's WrestleMania. So they're not going to do that. But <v Speaker 2>that'd be me if I were the booker or as <v Speaker 2>they call it, now what a creative Yeah all right, <v Speaker 2>So at ringside, Cole said, the question is whether j <v Speaker 2>believes he said what he said or if he's trying <v Speaker 2>to convince himself. And then Roxanne Perez video package aired <v Speaker 2>and let's see here war Raiders I, Eric and Ivar <v Speaker 2>had a video promo. They spoke about how the Creeds <v Speaker 2>took them to the limit last week. Of course, because <v Speaker 2>everyone takes everyone to the limit, which I hate. And <v Speaker 2>the reason I hate that is it's not you're not <v Speaker 2>disrespecting your opponent, you're completely What you do when it's <v Speaker 2>said or shown that everyone takes everyone to the limit <v Speaker 2>is we're all on a level playing field. That's not <v Speaker 2>what you want in sports. You want a hierarchy. You <v Speaker 2>want a hierarchy so that when somebody who has no <v Speaker 2>business beating someone else who's way up higher wins. It's <v Speaker 2>a shock, it's a total shock. And instead almost every <v Speaker 2>match is everyone kicking out of finishes, falls, Oh my god, <v Speaker 2>they almost won, and yeah the person who should have <v Speaker 2>won did, but boy, they almost lost. They got taken <v Speaker 2>to the limit. Well, why why do you need to <v Speaker 2>do that every time? So I don't like that just <v Speaker 2>pervasive thought process that everybody needs to take everyone to <v Speaker 2>the limit all the time in every match. I'm not <v Speaker 2>saying squash matches need to happen on the regular occasion. <v Speaker 2>They don't need a Bronze Strowman year long squash match <v Speaker 2>fest to build the guy. I know that does get <v Speaker 2>old that there's been monsters who have come in that <v Speaker 2>I think they've done it for too long. But occasionally <v Speaker 2>there's just be kind of a decisive like, okay, four <v Speaker 2>or five minutes in boom finish one, two three over. <v Speaker 2>It doesn't need to be a two minute squash. You <v Speaker 2>could do five, maybe six, seven minutes and have it <v Speaker 2>just a decisive victory. It wasn't that hard fought, you know. <v Speaker 2>So Anyway, as I was thinking too, I wonder when <v Speaker 2>Bronson Reid's coming back. He's somebody who interests me. M <v Speaker 2>all right. So Roxanne Perez was in the ring and <v Speaker 2>they did some video footage of two K twenty five <v Speaker 2>and we had Raquel Rodriguez versus Roxane Perez. This is <v Speaker 2>an elimination Chamber qualifying match. This match was seven and <v Speaker 2>a half minutes with Perez beating Raquel in seven and <v Speaker 2>a half minutes after hitting pop rocks and got our victory. <v Speaker 2>So every time I hear that she had to have <v Speaker 2>clearly named it after the nineteen nineties candy that we <v Speaker 2>all love. They still have it today, but it was <v Speaker 2>really popularized during the nineties and you can always you <v Speaker 2>can just open your mouth and hear the popping, can <v Speaker 2>you not? Yeah? Anyway, you nineties, nineties and maybe two <v Speaker 2>thousands kids know what I'm talking about. So good match, <v Speaker 2>But after the matches, really want to talk about here, <v Speaker 2>not just Roxanne Perez qualifying for the Chamber, but bell <v Speaker 2>aera Naomi, who are wearing cheerleader outfits. Now they're wearing <v Speaker 2>cheerleading outfits. Uh? Does this get worse for Bianca? Okay, <v Speaker 2>y'all are in your late thirties. Why are we wearing <v Speaker 2>cheerleading outfits. I don't know. I'm not sure what's happening. <v Speaker 2>It's all about. I know they're trying to bring the <v Speaker 2>story about Jade Cargill's attacker into the back into the fold, <v Speaker 2>which fans are going on. You know, as I've said, <v Speaker 2>fans are reminded, Oh, I've totally forgot about it. I mean, <v Speaker 2>most fans probably felt that way. And now we're supposed <v Speaker 2>to believe that Live and Rochal had something to do <v Speaker 2>with it because they were shown there was footage shown <v Speaker 2>of them leaving or walking around the scene of Jade <v Speaker 2>Cargill's attack. That doesn't really, of course, prove anything, but <v Speaker 2>that's the idea that there are suspects. They are red herrings. <v Speaker 2>I don't think Live or Raquelo had anything to do <v Speaker 2>with it. That's just my take. But this these cheerleading <v Speaker 2>outfits I thought were just my question is why why <v Speaker 2>what are we doing? No again, nothing wrong with you know, <v Speaker 2>you're if you're trying to be funny or you know, <v Speaker 2>if you're younger, but when you're in your late mid <v Speaker 2>to late thirties and you're still doing cheerleading outfits, even <v Speaker 2>again as pro pro wrestlers, anyway, it's a little bit <v Speaker 2>past your time. I think it just it doesn't seem <v Speaker 2>like it fits with either of their characters, other than hey, <v Speaker 2>we're a tag team, let's look the same. And they <v Speaker 2>came up with cheerleading outfits. I don't know. Bianca needs <v Speaker 2>to get the f out Bianca or creative. I am <v Speaker 2>begging you to take Bianca out of a tag team. <v Speaker 2>She's been in it for forty eight years now. She <v Speaker 2>doesn't belong. You have a WrestleMania main eventor legit WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>main inventor, and you've put her in a tag team <v Speaker 2>tag team division and put her in the tag team <v Speaker 2>division prison and threw away the key. You haven't even <v Speaker 2>allowed her to escape. All right, let's continue carrying. Cross <v Speaker 2>and Scarlett show up, and Cross said he knew Sammy's <v Speaker 2>ain would see this eventually because he keeps a close <v Speaker 2>eye on Rollins and Cross mocked the idea of Jay <v Speaker 2>us So thinking he would beat Gunther. Of course, Carrion <v Speaker 2>is playing the dastardly imaginary fans that think that Jay <v Speaker 2>can't beat Gunther and Gunther. Rather, Cross mocked the idea <v Speaker 2>of Jay Uso thinking he could beat Gunther as well <v Speaker 2>as Rollin's qualifying for the chamber and eliminating the Invisible <v Speaker 2>Man John SENA all right, So we then get an <v Speaker 2>EO Sky promo video and she was in some water <v Speaker 2>which was interesting, and she spoke about her title match <v Speaker 2>with Rie of Ripley and said she will take her <v Speaker 2>rifle spot at the top of the women's division and <v Speaker 2>puncher ticket to WrestleMania New Day. Come in the ring <v Speaker 2>and they were recapping. Cole recapped highlights from last week <v Speaker 2>and Woods said, get well soon Ray. After they beat <v Speaker 2>him with a chair, which was great. Kingson said they <v Speaker 2>don't get that the fans don't like them. They don't <v Speaker 2>get why, and then they tried to ask for a <v Speaker 2>chance to speak. Kingson said he's one more titles than Ray. <v Speaker 2>He said he's been with the company for nineteen years <v Speaker 2>and the difference between him and Ray is that he <v Speaker 2>never left. Kingston said he should be the locker room leader, <v Speaker 2>not mysterio, and Woods said the Audacity forced their hand <v Speaker 2>last week, and Kingston said the fans should thank them <v Speaker 2>for showing Ray mercy and Woods said the fans should <v Speaker 2>thank them for not taking Ray out back and giving <v Speaker 2>Old the old Yeller treatment. That was fun. I mean, <v Speaker 2>they were on, they were just they were at the <v Speaker 2>level that they should have been in consistently for the <v Speaker 2>last two months since turning on Biggie. They were the <v Speaker 2>team that I want them to be on a regular basis. <v Speaker 2>They showed that again last night. Unfortunately, they do this <v Speaker 2>and then go back into obscurity for the Latin the <v Speaker 2>next four weeks. So the LWO then come out and <v Speaker 2>Dragonly comes out with Joaquin Wilde and Cruise del Toro <v Speaker 2>and Lee spoken Spanish and then explained that he said <v Speaker 2>New Day sucks, and the LWO trio ran to the <v Speaker 2>ring and cleared them, cleared Kingston and Woods and that <v Speaker 2>was that. So LWO versus New Day for the time <v Speaker 2>being seems to be where we're at. No Big Eie yet, <v Speaker 2>but you know, he's still mentioned by the announcers, so <v Speaker 2>perhaps they're doing that to keep the idea that he <v Speaker 2>turned on Biggie. They turned on Biggie fresh in our minds, <v Speaker 2>all right. Kathy Kelly caught up with Bianca Naomi, who <v Speaker 2>spoke about next week's match and possibly meeting in the <v Speaker 2>chamber and let's see here, So Rollins and Finn Balor <v Speaker 2>main event. This match was nearly twenty minutes and rightfully so, <v Speaker 2>we've seen these two main events before, we've seen them <v Speaker 2>work together before in non main events, and they could <v Speaker 2>main event a pl You know, while Finn Balor's character <v Speaker 2>has been kind of on the ups and downs and irrelevant, <v Speaker 2>not relevant, you're reminded how freaking good Finn Balor is <v Speaker 2>when he's in the ring. Now, being the fact that <v Speaker 2>he's across the ring from Seth Rollins doesn't hurt at all. <v Speaker 2>I mean, Seth Rollins is already a Hall of Famer <v Speaker 2>in his own right, and putting these two together, you <v Speaker 2>know what you're gonna get, and we got exactly that <v Speaker 2>just incredible matchup here. I loved it. Seth Rollins beats <v Speaker 2>Finn Balor in eighteen minutes and forty five seconds exactly <v Speaker 2>to win with the stomp and just just great. So <v Speaker 2>that was a really fun main event here. Again, as expected, <v Speaker 2>nothing earth shattering in this matchup or on this episode <v Speaker 2>of Raw, but things just progressed steadily, nicely towards elimination Chamber. <v Speaker 2>So that's that's the focal point here, Chamber. Who's going <v Speaker 2>to win, Who's going to main event WrestleMania with the champions. <v Speaker 2>Of course, that's at the forefront of all of our <v Speaker 2>minds as wrestling fans. So all right, looking at some <v Speaker 2>other news here, and didn't Triple Eh introduce some like <v Speaker 2>independent belts. I thought I saw that some like it <v Speaker 2>belts or something that could be wrong on that. I <v Speaker 2>saw one of you are gonna be like, yeah, he interviewed. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you guys need to keep up on this stuff. <v Speaker 2>I could have sworn Triple H did, But I'm trying <v Speaker 2>to find some other some other items here and let's see. Oh, <v Speaker 2>TRIPLEH reveals WWELFG titles, how they'll be won and defined. Okay, <v Speaker 2>that's what it is. So last year this, according to <v Speaker 2>Wrestling Inc. The WWEID program was announced, serving as a <v Speaker 2>way for the larger wrestling promotion to help future development <v Speaker 2>of talent on the independent scene. In the months since, <v Speaker 2>a number of matches between WID recruits have taken place <v Speaker 2>across various promotions, and Triple H has revealed another aspect <v Speaker 2>of the program, a set of wwe ID championships. That's <v Speaker 2>what it is. So this is Triple H's tweet, he said, <v Speaker 2>quote the top independent wrestling podcasts or podcast. Jeez, prospects <v Speaker 2>have been idd and now we're ready to spotlight the <v Speaker 2>best of the best. Here's your first look at the <v Speaker 2>men's and women's w WE I D Championships. All right, <v Speaker 2>so that's that's kind of cool again. Stuff you'd never <v Speaker 2>see with Vince McMahon. I mean just there's no chance, none. <v Speaker 2>And behind him very cool. Uh. I have to say <v Speaker 2>his uh the background of Triple Ah even more than <v Speaker 2>the new championships. So he's introducing to spotlight those on <v Speaker 2>the independence scene, which is all. It's it's kind of cool. <v Speaker 2>I enjoyed that is. The the belts behind him, some <v Speaker 2>of the classic belts, the evolution of the World Championship, <v Speaker 2>the w WE Championship. It's quite quite awesome. I would <v Speaker 2>love to have that as a back like I would <v Speaker 2>love that in my office. If you see Triple H's <v Speaker 2>background in this post, he's got all, you know, a <v Speaker 2>lot of the old championships in her Continental Title, the <v Speaker 2>old old WWF Championship, the Winged Eagle, the Attitude Era Championship, <v Speaker 2>the Undisputed Championship that brock Lesner prestigiously held, the just <v Speaker 2>totally loathe Spinner Championship, and then the Rocks brought back <v Speaker 2>the WWE Championship with no Spinner, and then it evolved <v Speaker 2>into what we have today with what Cody Rhodes is carrying. <v Speaker 2>So quite a hell of a background, so I know <v Speaker 2>should be talking about the post, but his background is <v Speaker 2>actually what a more focused on because I'm jealous, man. <v Speaker 2>I wonder what that retail cost would be if you <v Speaker 2>were to just buy these championships replica championships. The deluxe <v Speaker 2>version off of WWE Shop, I mean has got to <v Speaker 2>be like what ten grand maybe maybe more, and if <v Speaker 2>you the real deal versions on the website. Anyway, my <v Speaker 2>question though, is how is this going to work? You know, <v Speaker 2>like maybe the details haven't really been ironed out, but <v Speaker 2>whoever holds these belts? Can they come and go from <v Speaker 2>the independent scene? I mean they're marked, They're like ear <v Speaker 2>marked like cattle. You know, They've got like this this <v Speaker 2>tag on their ear and they're being marked as being <v Speaker 2>owned by the company. I don't know how this is <v Speaker 2>gonna work, so it's interesting. Can they kind of come <v Speaker 2>in Is it like a pass to come in, like <v Speaker 2>a hall pass to come in and out of the <v Speaker 2>company as they wish. I don't know. So details to come, <v Speaker 2>but something that obviously I don't know if Vince McMahon <v Speaker 2>ever would have done. All right, well, that'll do it <v Speaker 2>here for the ww podcast. Thank you guys so much <v Speaker 2>for joining me here on this raw review. I will <v Speaker 2>be back to well, oh maybe i'll be back tomorrow. <v Speaker 2>Tomorrow ones, I'm another podcast I'll be telling you guys <v Speaker 2>about that. It has nothing to do with anything I've <v Speaker 2>ever really talked about in the show. I'm hesitant in <v Speaker 2>sharing it. It's actually not anything really even controversial, has <v Speaker 2>nothing to do with any kind of political agenda or anything. <v Speaker 2>Although I have a podcast I haven't updated in a <v Speaker 2>while that is that one, but it's not even a podcast, <v Speaker 2>I should say, it's just Patreon exclusive that I've been <v Speaker 2>working on and I'm hesitant to share it yet. I'm <v Speaker 2>still kind of like telling you about it in a <v Speaker 2>way that I you know, because I'm struggling with sharing <v Speaker 2>it because it's not anything to do with wrestling, sports, politics, nothing. <v Speaker 2>It's totally uncontroversial, but it's just a different interest that <v Speaker 2>I have that I haven't ever really expressed to you <v Speaker 2>guys at all ever, And I don't know how much <v Speaker 2>of a crossover there'd be for a Patreon that are <v Speaker 2>interested in this topic. So I don't know, maybe next <v Speaker 2>time i'll share it. I've got a nice base here <v Speaker 2>that I feel like I'm not utilizing if you're interested <v Speaker 2>in the same thing, so stay tuned for that. You know, <v Speaker 2>I may put out something on x or on this <v Speaker 2>show about you know what that is and what it entails, <v Speaker 2>though it's not a podcast though, it's more of a <v Speaker 2>Patreon exclusive. So all right, anyway, thank you so much guys. <v Speaker 2>If you want to go on Patreon for this show, <v Speaker 2>you can get everything add free at Patreon dot com <v Speaker 2>slash w podcast, or you can go to the Apple <v Speaker 2>podcast and get everything add free there.
