Meet Cute Presents: The Lone Star. Gabriel Reyes, a young immigration lawyer, returns to his high school alma mater to give the commencement speech and recounts the story of his time at Lone Star High. The 17-year-old Gabe becomes the town hero as an exceptional football tight end, but his senior year is thrown into disarray as he balances heat from his coach, a promising college offer, a love-at-first-sight encounter with the new girl, and an unexpected threat to his mother’s immigration status.
