I'm gonna give everybody the list real quick. Uh it is Jose Alvarado. This is all in alphabetic order. Jose Alvarado, Harrison Bader, Alec Baum, Nick Castianos, Bryce Harper, Max Kapler, Ryan Kirker and Brandon marsh ernol At, JT. Real Muto, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce and Scott Rangers, swear As Tree Turn and Taiwan Walker. Did not include some guys. Jordan Romano didn't put him on the list, David Robertson didn't put him on the list, Matt Strom didn't put him on the list. Out of camp those types of guys. Uh, you know you could if you think we should have included some of these guys, you can tell us in the YouTube comments Jim and Ruben if you think that will be comments. Oh yes, but Jim, what do you think they gotta make some significant moves?

Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you need to change the mix. They acknowledged that last year they tried to change the mix, and really we're not able to It's going to be difficult to make to me significant changes. I mean, I'm sure you could just not resign a couple of your big free agents like Schwarber and real Mudo, though that would be a significant change. But I don't think they want to go that route. I just think because you got some big, big, three hundred million dollar guys with no trade clauses in your in your core, it's gonna be very difficult to move. And then I just wonder about the value of some other play. But you know, they'll they'll make some tweaks, they'll make some changes. They might aim big on one particular change or and we'll see if they get it done. But yeah, you can't report to clear Water with the same group.

You know, when the Yankees had their their great run nine two thousand, every year a new face came in. Every year, a new face came in. Climbings came in one year, who else, Knob Block came in one year, Kevin Brown, I think, came come in one year, a Ron came in after that. But during their their great run, they there was always that new guy that came in with a hunger for a ring. And obviously the Phillies have that hunger. They haven't gotten there, but they were even though they're successfully changed that mix, and I think it helped keep things fresh. So we'll see how big the mixing bowl is here, but they do need to break it out and do some mixing.

I remember in the spring of two thousand and nine talking with pac Illock about how Ruben decided to move on from Pat Burle. And I remember pack Gillick telling me, I am a strong believer that even when you win, you need to bring in fresh blood to kind of keep things fresh. And so Ruben, you decided not to bring back Pat Burle. You brought in Raoul Raoul Banyas. And I do remember having that conversation in the food room down in clear Water with right outside the food room at Baker Ballpark with pack Illock about this. I was in in ninety three. It was a Paul Monitor and and you know Ricky Henderson or a camera who was all on those squads who got brought in when but they made he made big trades and brought in new guys, and.

So I'm going with Ryan Kirkring for just doing something I don't you know, maybe some people couldn't do, maybe some people wouldn't have done, but he did it.

In this series, they're starting pitching was pretty good and in Game three, Aaron Nola and Ranger Suarez teamed up for seven innings one run. Good performance kept him alive for a night. Give us everybody a something to hope for one night. So you know, I'm going to give them a you know, maybe you know they can split piece of pizza.

But I don't know all the numbers, but I think he pitched really well, a lot of confidence and it's going to help him moving forward. He's got a chance to be one of the best left handers and a duo of lefties in this rotation for at least another year or two. For the Phillies come twenty twenty six, in Christopher Stanchez and Lozardo, he gets a large slice, maybe a double slice of the pie for the two outings.

Speaker 3: Really, you make a really good point. He's got a chance to be you know, really, I mean he I think he probably proved a lot to himself this year one, staying healthy too, having a career high in innings. I think those could be really good springboards for him going forward.

I think I said he was going to hit three hundred and make an All Star team.

Harrison Bader has a mutual option for twenty twenty six. But as I said, we talked about this a few weeks ago on the show, there has not been a mutual option exercise by both sides, the team and the player. In yeah, at least the last three or four off seasons. I mean, mutual options never get picked up, never get picked up. And if I'm Harrison Vader, because the Phillies would jump at a one year, ten million dollar deal for Harrison bare They'd be like, please, thank you Jesus. But Harrison Bader is probably going I just played my butt off. I had my best year offensively in several years. I play a great center field. I'm not going to settle for a one year, ten million dollar deal. I might be able to get two for twenty or whatever the number is, so I I you know. So for that reason, I wonder if he'll be back now if he declines it. How comfortable are you guys in terms of bringing him back on a multi year deal. That's what he's looking for, Like are you I'm not okay? Why I would not.

So by that metric, he was the worst player in Major League Baseball defensively, negative twelve outs above average. That was tied for six worst amongst all players defensive players in baseball. You know, he had his thing with Rob in June and Miami. He had his thing with Rob in in Arizona. Talking about lack of communication just seems like I'm just yeah, go now we're gonna say it. Just seems like to me, if this is time time just to move, move, go on your separate way, go your separate ways.
