<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to <v Speaker 1>the WWE Podcast show. <v Speaker 2>The one that everybody wants me. <v Speaker 3>God Step three sixteen says we your ass. <v Speaker 2>Is my eyn you can acknowledge me. Welcome everybody to <v Speaker 2>the WWE Podcast. It is Sunday, April thirteenth, two thousand <v Speaker 2>and twenty five, and it's more importantly wrestle Mania Week. <v Speaker 2>It's here one week from right now. We'll be gearing <v Speaker 2>up for the main event of John Cena and Cody <v Speaker 2>Rhoades for the Undisputed Championship. And we are all, I think, <v Speaker 2>eyeing that match for what could happen, Who could win, returns, craziness, <v Speaker 2>another whacky finish like we saw last year. That'll all <v Speaker 2>be unveiled to us in just about one week. Of course, <v Speaker 2>that's not the only match. We've got a lot of it, <v Speaker 2>including you know what, a match that I haven't talked <v Speaker 2>a whole lot about, but I'm looking forward to Drew <v Speaker 2>McIntyre and Damian Priest. They am things up this past <v Speaker 2>week on SmackDown. We now have Bailey and Lyra number <v Speaker 2>one contenders the women's tag team titles, and if you <v Speaker 2>like Bailey and Lyra together, you should probably root against <v Speaker 2>them to win. As we all know, the women's tag <v Speaker 2>titles are cursed somebody hext it, So you don't want <v Speaker 2>your If you like a wrestler, you like a women's <v Speaker 2>tag team, you don't want them touching the women's tag titles. <v Speaker 2>You just don't. So uh definitely, you know, if you <v Speaker 2>are interested in a particular tag team and you liked <v Speaker 2>you like them, I would not really be sitting there <v Speaker 2>going I hope they win because it's kind of kind <v Speaker 2>of a bit of a contrast of interest there. But <v Speaker 2>that's not the only match. Of course. We've got Jau so, <v Speaker 2>we've got Gunther, We've got the Intercontinental title, fatal four <v Speaker 2>way looking down the pike here, we've got Charlotte and <v Speaker 2>Tiffany Stratton. So much really to look forward to, and hey, <v Speaker 2>I think it's going to be a good WrestleMania despite <v Speaker 2>the really weird build. We don't have a Randy Orton <v Speaker 2>opponent yet. Kevin Owens seems to be legit injured. If <v Speaker 2>he's not, it's going to be the greatest dupe of <v Speaker 2>all time, all right. If Andy Orton, or rather Kevin <v Speaker 2>Owens is not actually injured, which I mean I hope <v Speaker 2>he is for the sake of just the integrity of injuries, <v Speaker 2>not for his own sake. But Randy Orton is still <v Speaker 2>searching for an opponent that'll be unveiled, hopefully this coming <v Speaker 2>Friday before SmackDown or that SmackDown before WrestleMania. So jacked <v Speaker 2>a jam packed week. As we look forward to WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>forty one, I would anticipate a lot of video packages, <v Speaker 2>a lot of go home promos, a lot of pull <v Speaker 2>apart brawls if we haven't seen enough of those already, <v Speaker 2>and we've got a lot to look forward to. We <v Speaker 2>are going to be overloaded with wrestling in just one week, <v Speaker 2>and of course you have NXT thrown in there, and <v Speaker 2>if you watch TNA, there's just so much. So I'm <v Speaker 2>looking forward to it. I know everybody here listening is. <v Speaker 2>And by the way, this is live. I forgot to <v Speaker 2>mention that this is a live show, and this is <v Speaker 2>my first time live on riverside. So if you are <v Speaker 2>interested in coming on and chatting or asking a question <v Speaker 2>or two, then I'm not sure what's on your end <v Speaker 2>what you can see, but you can always type it <v Speaker 2>in the chat Okay, the chat I know does work. <v Speaker 2>I see a few people that are listening right now. <v Speaker 2>If you'd like to come on, just let me know. <v Speaker 2>And if not, you can just sit there and listen <v Speaker 2>only mode. That's up to you. All right, Well, let's <v Speaker 2>talk about this coming WEE or this past week in WWE. <v Speaker 2>I'llah the title of this show. So we did get <v Speaker 2>an appearance from Cody Roads. I'll start with that. And <v Speaker 2>Cody Rhodes has been carrying this promo or this this <v Speaker 2>program for the last couple of weeks. He's without John Cena. <v Speaker 2>There no rock We all forget that. You know, he <v Speaker 2>was a part of this whole damn thing. In fact, <v Speaker 2>he was the mastermind behind the whole thing yet, but <v Speaker 2>we haven't heard from him in over a month. In fact, <v Speaker 2>we've heard from him precisely zero times since Elimination Chamber. <v Speaker 2>And presumably John Cena, from what we understand though, is <v Speaker 2>going to be on SmackDown next week. That's I believe <v Speaker 2>Cody said that in his promo. So that means we'll <v Speaker 2>have actually a little bit of a John Cena maybe <v Speaker 2>a AA delivered to Cody Rhoads to pay back for <v Speaker 2>the code Crossroads that he was delivered on Raw a <v Speaker 2>couple of weeks ago, so that's maybe why he's there. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if we'll have another promo or what's <v Speaker 2>on the on the agenda, but John Cena in the <v Speaker 2>arena doesn't really lend itself to tell me there's gonna <v Speaker 2>be a ton of physicality only because they're risking injury <v Speaker 2>prior to the night before. So it's good that John <v Speaker 2>CNN will be there. Really has no excuse not to <v Speaker 2>be there, given that Vegas is where the event is <v Speaker 2>and the fact that Minette Raw or rather SmackDown is <v Speaker 2>going to be in Vegas. So hey, I think that <v Speaker 2>kind of makes sense. Now, is the Rock going to <v Speaker 2>be there? Is he going to show up? I don't know, <v Speaker 2>but this past week, let's get to it. Cody Rhodes <v Speaker 2>in the ring. All the championships, all the eras of <v Speaker 2>championships were laid out in the ring, all of them <v Speaker 2>were laid out in the ring, and he talked about <v Speaker 2>what he's championship meant and everything from Bob Backland to <v Speaker 2>Eddie Guerrero, and then he got to the Spinner Belt <v Speaker 2>and you know, I am he said he doesn't hate <v Speaker 2>the belt I digress. I mean, I am not a <v Speaker 2>big fan of that Spinner belt. The Spender Belt to <v Speaker 2>me has and was all will always be just a <v Speaker 2>disrespectful display of symbolic display of the WWE Championship. It <v Speaker 2>just always will be to me. There's really no convincing <v Speaker 2>me and a lot of other fans otherwise. But it <v Speaker 2>still was a decent promo given the fact he didn't <v Speaker 2>have anybody to really bounce off the entire promo from <v Speaker 2>at all. He said, it's about the next twenty champions, <v Speaker 2>whether it's NXT kids, wweid prospects, or a kid in <v Speaker 2>Seattle who wants to grow up and become champion. And <v Speaker 2>he said that John Cena wants to take it all away, <v Speaker 2>and that Seena neglected to make Seattle a part of <v Speaker 2>his farewell tour, and he said that Sena opted to <v Speaker 2>be in Vegas for next week SmackDown mentioned and he <v Speaker 2>recalled say Sina saying the placement of his tattoo makes <v Speaker 2>him a common fan, and Cody said, so what I mean, <v Speaker 2>I know he's trying to own being a fan. Well, <v Speaker 2>you really can't be a wrestler if you're not a <v Speaker 2>fan of the product. To begin with, So it's kind <v Speaker 2>of by default that you have to be a fan. <v Speaker 2>But also, I don't know any quote unquote common fans <v Speaker 2>tattooing their neck with anything wrestling related, much less a <v Speaker 2>big American Nightmare logo. That's not what common fans do. Okay, <v Speaker 2>I mean, I wouldn't say I'm a common fan. I <v Speaker 2>would say I'm a lean, more hardcore if you want <v Speaker 2>to label me that whatever. I mean. I have a <v Speaker 2>podcast that I do, you know, several times a week. <v Speaker 2>I would say I'm a little bit more than a <v Speaker 2>common fan. If you're listening to this, you are likely <v Speaker 2>more than just a common fan. And let me ask you, <v Speaker 2>do you have a tattoo of a wrestler on your <v Speaker 2>neck anything wrestling related. I'm I'm gonna guess the answer <v Speaker 2>is no. So anyway, he said that the tattoo for <v Speaker 2>the same reason he wears it is for for the suit, <v Speaker 2>not because he thinks he's somebody, but because he wants <v Speaker 2>to be somebody. And he then named name drop Latino <v Speaker 2>Heat and he name dropped what was it? As I said, <v Speaker 2>the nutt what's his Bob Ackland? And I'm surprised he <v Speaker 2>didn't mention Stone Coatie Vols under the Rock, given that <v Speaker 2>the Attitude era belt was one of the most well <v Speaker 2>known of the entire you know, of the entire era <v Speaker 2>of wrestling genres, so that was pretty interesting to me. <v Speaker 2>But I will say it was still a very interesting <v Speaker 2>display for him to put out there and show what <v Speaker 2>he's trying to do here. And I get it, but <v Speaker 2>I'm tired of the promo. I gotta say, like, I'm <v Speaker 2>ready for the match just generally, I don't care how <v Speaker 2>much they knock it out of the park in this <v Speaker 2>coming SmackDown. I'm ready to just see what they've got <v Speaker 2>in store and see what their outcome is. Now, the <v Speaker 2>other thing here that I want to talk about is <v Speaker 2>Tiffty Stratton in Roxanne Perez. Now, they had a decent <v Speaker 2>I have to say, Roxanne Perez has been doing, as <v Speaker 2>the kids would say, a low key good job because <v Speaker 2>she's been flying under the radar. No one really is <v Speaker 2>talking about her too much. She's been in and out <v Speaker 2>of the conversations of fans, you know, since she's been <v Speaker 2>out of NXT, and I think that she's done a <v Speaker 2>very good job every time that she's been on the roster, <v Speaker 2>on the main roster for a match, and then this <v Speaker 2>is no exception. Now, Tiffty Stratton in her own right <v Speaker 2>is an incredible athlete, and this matchup went nine minutes, <v Speaker 2>which is pretty damn good for a non titled women's match, <v Speaker 2>and it ended up with Tiffany beating Roxanne Perez with <v Speaker 2>the prettiest moon salt. So I just wanted before I <v Speaker 2>talk about Charlotte, I wanted to just give Roxanne some <v Speaker 2>flowers here because she's doing her part. Now you know <v Speaker 2>that Tiffany's gonna win this match. Roxanne has no chance <v Speaker 2>of winning, but that's not really the point. If you're <v Speaker 2>looking at this from a logical perspective, it's about, yes, <v Speaker 2>putting over Tiffany to make her look strong for Charlotte, <v Speaker 2>But what about the next generation, Like what about the <v Speaker 2>next person up? And eventually Roxanne will get her shot. <v Speaker 2>And I think she's been doing a really good job. <v Speaker 2>So after the match, though, of course this is really <v Speaker 2>what people are talking about, Charlotte pulled Stratton aside or <v Speaker 2>to ringside, ran her into the barricade ring post, and <v Speaker 2>then Flair TOAs Stratton over the broadcast table, and Barrett <v Speaker 2>actually blocked Flair from going after Stratton and Flair, climbed on, <v Speaker 2>climbed out to the broadcast table. People are booing her, <v Speaker 2>and yeah, there was an early attack earlier in the <v Speaker 2>day too in the parking lot when Tiffany arrived at <v Speaker 2>SmackDown and Charlotte it was it was a kind of <v Speaker 2>a fun a fun attack because it's one that you <v Speaker 2>don't see very often, taken with fan quote unquote fan <v Speaker 2>and it was nice because that's something again, you don't <v Speaker 2>see very often. And the way that it was filmed <v Speaker 2>was cool. And so yeah, despite the fact that of <v Speaker 2>course it was planned, I appreciate them trying to make <v Speaker 2>it seem authentic and it doesn't seem like these two <v Speaker 2>legitimately like each other at all, and that's a good thing. <v Speaker 2>Much like when we saw Becky Lynch and Charlotte was <v Speaker 2>it heading into I don't know if it was Summer <v Speaker 2>Slam several years ago, whatever it was, Survivor series. I <v Speaker 2>can't remember the plee. But when they had actual beef <v Speaker 2>with one another and throwing each other's championships at each <v Speaker 2>other's feet and all that kind of thing, that that <v Speaker 2>was legit heat and it still remains to this day. <v Speaker 2>The story. So if Tiffany and Charlotte Legit don't like <v Speaker 2>each other, and I have no reason to believe that that's <v Speaker 2>not the case. Then that makes this match much more interesting. Now, <v Speaker 2>Tiffany has gone on saying that she is going to <v Speaker 2>try to make this match one of the best women's <v Speaker 2>matches in the history of women's wrestling, and I would <v Speaker 2>I would caution Tiffany for that for that bar Now, <v Speaker 2>I would say internally that that is a good thing <v Speaker 2>to have in your mind, that that's the goal you <v Speaker 2>ultimately want to achieve after you leave Vegas is to <v Speaker 2>look back and be like, man, that was awesome. Couple problems. <v Speaker 2>Number one, that's for the fans to decide, all right, <v Speaker 2>and and number two, most importantly, your first objective should <v Speaker 2>be to win. Kay, I don't need to hear from <v Speaker 2>you that you're trying to have a great match. That <v Speaker 2>comes as a byproduct of you trying to win. And <v Speaker 2>oftentimes this is such a It's something that a lot <v Speaker 2>of wrestlers seemingly forget as they continue to cut their promos. <v Speaker 2>It seems to be one of those deals where they <v Speaker 2>just they're so focused on even just a blatantly telling <v Speaker 2>the audience, hey, we're gonna tear the house down. We're <v Speaker 2>gonna have a great match. No, just just try to <v Speaker 2>win the damn thing. Yeah, like that should be your focus. <v Speaker 2>So nonetheless it should be a good match. But I <v Speaker 2>I really have to say, as much as I believe <v Speaker 2>Charlotte is a professional, and I do, Charlotte seems to <v Speaker 2>be very much disinterested in this, or at least pretending <v Speaker 2>to be. Her character is pretending to be. And that's <v Speaker 2>very much a defense mechanism that she's putting up when <v Speaker 2>she seems disinterested, because the other alternative is for her <v Speaker 2>to get emotional, start yelling at Tiffany and you know, <v Speaker 2>going down to her level. So she's trying to put <v Speaker 2>on this facade that she's above all of this and disinterested, <v Speaker 2>which it doesn't do Tiffany any favors. But I do <v Speaker 2>wonder if she's really interested in having a great match <v Speaker 2>with Tiffany. I mean, she might outwardly say that, but <v Speaker 2>I don't know. I mean, there's really nothing for Charlotte <v Speaker 2>left to prove. I mean, she's got nothing left. She's <v Speaker 2>done everything there is to do, and so I do <v Speaker 2>wonder what the uh with the internal if you were <v Speaker 2>to put truth here min or if she's really truly <v Speaker 2>interested in having a good match with Tiffany or not. <v Speaker 2>But the other thing is will they take real shots <v Speaker 2>at each other? Will we see any real stuff go <v Speaker 2>on that? That's a nice little side bit there, side story. <v Speaker 2>If you keep a close eye on some of their shots, <v Speaker 2>clothes lines, punches kicked, Is there anything you notice that <v Speaker 2>you go huh, yeah, that seems a little stiffer than normal. <v Speaker 2>So the other thing with with Charlotte, one more thing <v Speaker 2>and I do so we have a few people here. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna see if anybody wants to come on. I <v Speaker 2>know there's one too, maybe, like I may be counting <v Speaker 2>this wrong. I got like four or five people, But <v Speaker 2>one more thing about Tiffany, or rather Charlotte, and then <v Speaker 2>I'll see if someone asks a commoner question is and <v Speaker 2>I mean this with all sincerity. I'm not trying to <v Speaker 2>be funny, not trying to put anyone down. It seems <v Speaker 2>like char Is is close to a breakdown. And I <v Speaker 2>don't mean that in a way that is funny, or <v Speaker 2>her character is close to a breakdown. I mean the <v Speaker 2>person Ashley, Ashley flear like. I I mean she's lost <v Speaker 2>a lot of weight, which she didn't need to anyway. <v Speaker 2>I mean, she was fine the way she is, but <v Speaker 2>she does what she wants. She doesn't look healthy, and <v Speaker 2>it's not just because of the multiple facial surgeries. It's <v Speaker 2>just like, legitimately, I'm a little worried, you know, she <v Speaker 2>seems just unhealthy generally, not you know, I'm not saying <v Speaker 2>she has a cold, just she doesn't. She looks like <v Speaker 2>she's She's not in a good place, is what it <v Speaker 2>looks like to me. And hey, three divorces will do that, <v Speaker 2>I have no doubt about it. Not blaming for her <v Speaker 2>for it. Yeah, when you hit that on air, there's <v Speaker 2>no way that the character can cover how you actually <v Speaker 2>feel about somebody mentioning that on air. So I don't know. <v Speaker 2>And I saw how thin she looked on SmackDown. It's <v Speaker 2>not a good look for her. She she needs to <v Speaker 2>put some more weight back on. But more importantly, I mean, <v Speaker 2>I just I don't know. I got that sense that <v Speaker 2>she just is she's not in a good place. She <v Speaker 2>may say she is, she goes on these talk shows. <v Speaker 2>My eyes are not jiving with the story that she's <v Speaker 2>trying to tell. My it's my it's my take that <v Speaker 2>could be totally wrong, and she may be the most <v Speaker 2>happy that she's ever been. She'll tell you she is. <v Speaker 2>I'm sure, because what else is she gonna say? But <v Speaker 2>I just I have some suspicions about it. So all right, <v Speaker 2>let's well, let's see what the heck happens here. I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna try to bring somebody on. Let's see here, all right, <v Speaker 2>So guys, here's the deal. So, well, we're not gonna <v Speaker 2>have a whole conversation, you know, we'll just have a <v Speaker 2>little bit of a common question, that kind of thing. <v Speaker 2>You know. I don't want to as much as I could, <v Speaker 2>because we're all wrestling fans. I want to give everybody <v Speaker 2>an opportunity. So we'll just, you know, have a little <v Speaker 2>bit back and forth and then we'll move on to <v Speaker 2>the next person. So let's start with Let's see so <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna start with Andrew from Flint. I'm gonna say Flint, Michigan. <v Speaker 2>So let's see Andrew. <v Speaker 4>You there, Yeah, I'm here, Yeah, Flint, Michigan. <v Speaker 2>Very good, very good? What's on your mind? <v Speaker 4>A quick question? <v Speaker 5>You know? <v Speaker 4>You bet you keep calling it a weird build up <v Speaker 4>to WrestleMania, and I agreed with you. To a point <v Speaker 4>till recently, and I gotta I gotta say it's been <v Speaker 4>a boring build up outside of Sina and Cody, just <v Speaker 4>not a lot of interest. But the question I have <v Speaker 4>for you is what has more anticipation or had more <v Speaker 4>anticipation this build up for WrestleMania or the Netflix's Raw debut, <v Speaker 4>Because I feel like that debut had way more excitement <v Speaker 4>and you know, building up for it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so well, thanks Andrew, and uh so, yeah. I mean, <v Speaker 2>I continue to say it's weird just because it's been <v Speaker 2>such a weird. It's been a roller coaster ride of <v Speaker 2>this is gonna happen, That's gonna happen. Then this person <v Speaker 2>is here, They're not gonna be here. The Rock's gonna <v Speaker 2>have a match. You No, he's not here to have <v Speaker 2>a match. John Cen is turning heel. It's it's just <v Speaker 2>been different. And so as far as which has been <v Speaker 2>a better built I mean, as far as ples go, <v Speaker 2>you know, or as as running at rons go, that <v Speaker 2>was probably the most heavily promoted Monday at Raw of <v Speaker 2>all time, in with good reason. It's hard to compare <v Speaker 2>a Monday Night Raw, despite the fact that it is <v Speaker 2>a massive one on Netflix to the biggest plea that <v Speaker 2>they have of the year, because WrestleMania is built on <v Speaker 2>matches and who's gonna do what, and what big stars <v Speaker 2>could be there and what big stars can have a match, <v Speaker 2>whereas Monday Night Raw's debut, as we saw in Execution, <v Speaker 2>was very light on wrestling, very promo heavy, very much <v Speaker 2>a pat ourselves on the back very much, and I'll <v Speaker 2>just say it very much a big corporate circle jerk, <v Speaker 2>which is what it was. And there is a lot <v Speaker 2>of that a lot in a lot of the ples <v Speaker 2>as well, and it just is what it is. But <v Speaker 2>that was very much just a hey, guys, this is us, <v Speaker 2>we're here, and look how great it is for us <v Speaker 2>to be on Netflix. And I mean, I thought it <v Speaker 2>was a decent show from a star power perspective, But <v Speaker 2>when the Rock came out and he was just Dwayne <v Speaker 2>pretending to play the Rock and then later he said, <v Speaker 2>oh I meant to do that, that was a bunch <v Speaker 2>of crap. No he didn't. He just tried to circle <v Speaker 2>that in and tie it in to the story because <v Speaker 2>he got such bad backlash for it and just totally <v Speaker 2>ruined the story I think at the time. So as <v Speaker 2>far as better build, it's kind of in a way <v Speaker 2>it's apples and oranges because Raw on Netflix is made <v Speaker 2>to just get you to watch it for the quote unquote, <v Speaker 2>like the the interest of what I've ever seen this? <v Speaker 3>What is this? <v Speaker 2>What are they gonna do? Versus WrestleMania, which is built <v Speaker 2>on matches and outcomes and titles and blood for you <v Speaker 2>and big returns. So I know it sounds like a <v Speaker 2>cop out answer, but it's hard for me to say. <v Speaker 2>I mean, in the short term, sure, I would say <v Speaker 2>the Raw Netflix build was more concise. It was more <v Speaker 2>and they also only have a two and a half <v Speaker 2>three hour show to produce rather than pretty much eight <v Speaker 2>hours of television or seven and a half eight hours <v Speaker 2>of television total over two nights. So thanks Andrew. Let's <v Speaker 2>go to Let's go to James. I don't know where <v Speaker 2>James is from, but let's find out. James. How you doing? <v Speaker 4>Man? <v Speaker 1>Good? Ay? <v Speaker 6>You hear the game? <v Speaker 2>Good? <v Speaker 4>Good? <v Speaker 2>What's on your mind? <v Speaker 6>I'm from New Zealand, so hopefully you can get my <v Speaker 6>ex into it. But I've been watching it through Netflix, <v Speaker 6>and like you said, the build up has been a <v Speaker 6>bit a bit beverage. The main event with the triple <v Speaker 6>Threat is particularly a bit underwhelming for me. Like you've <v Speaker 6>said in your podcast about these no no real prize, <v Speaker 6>as Paul Hayman is like, you know, it doesn't seem <v Speaker 6>to have a big like it should for a WrestleMania <v Speaker 6>main event. So I'm a underwhelmed by that. But the <v Speaker 6>other thing that I am interested in is the Fatal <v Speaker 6>four Way match, which I think we'll see the splitting <v Speaker 6>of the judgment day. I think that will finally come <v Speaker 6>to an end with Fin and Dom having a bit <v Speaker 6>of a breakup during the match. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, definitely, So I'm glad you brought up the fiddle <v Speaker 2>four way. I will I'll comment on that in just <v Speaker 2>a second. I think that you know, it has been <v Speaker 2>a bit of a boring build. You kind of pick <v Speaker 2>your adjective because it depends on where in the build <v Speaker 2>that we're thinking it was this or that, I mean, <v Speaker 2>looking zooming out. You could probably describe it in several ways. <v Speaker 2>Some people said, I've seen people on Twitter on acts <v Speaker 2>say it's the best build I've ever seen. I'm serious, <v Speaker 2>And everybody kind of feels their own way because we're <v Speaker 2>all different people, but there's no doubt about it. That <v Speaker 2>this is a very controversial build to WrestleMania. This is <v Speaker 2>one of the most controversial builds that of in my <v Speaker 2>you know, thirty years of watching WrestleMania's and as far <v Speaker 2>as the you know, the underwhelming triple threat, as critical <v Speaker 2>as I've been of it been of it that it's <v Speaker 2>essentially a sixty five year old man's services that are <v Speaker 2>on the line, that all these these three grown men <v Speaker 2>that are highly successful at the top of their business <v Speaker 2>are suddenly all worried about what this sixty five year <v Speaker 2>old man's going to do. Who he's going to turn <v Speaker 2>ones he align with Seth. It's it's to me, it's <v Speaker 2>extremely underwhelming. I love Paul Hayman. Paul Hayman is a legend, <v Speaker 2>but this is a weird there's that word again, but <v Speaker 2>it is no other way. It's just it's a underwhelming <v Speaker 2>way to structure this triple threat, that that's what's on <v Speaker 2>the line is just this dude. And again no disrespect <v Speaker 2>to Paul, but that's not what main events should, especially <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania, should be about. It should either be about <v Speaker 2>a championship or some you know, like like we saw <v Speaker 2>Stone Cold coming out of retirement to face Kevin Owens, <v Speaker 2>and you can't always have that, I understand, but at <v Speaker 2>least there's a story there. Even seth Rollins and Roman <v Speaker 2>Reigns singularly, I think would have been a better match <v Speaker 2>than this triple threat, at least storyline wise, it would <v Speaker 2>have been more concise. There's a massive history to build <v Speaker 2>on there, and then instead you have Punk, and Punk's <v Speaker 2>trying to make his case, but then you have Paul <v Speaker 2>Hayman here, and it's like, okay, well, you know, three <v Speaker 2>big baby faces. Somebody's bound to turn heel here. But <v Speaker 2>no matter who you look at, well whoever you pick <v Speaker 2>that you want to win, I would ask, why do <v Speaker 2>you want them to win? What's what's in it for <v Speaker 2>them to say that they beat someone at WrestleMania in <v Speaker 2>the main event. I mean, that's a hell of an accomplishment. <v Speaker 2>But I guess maybe our standards are too high for <v Speaker 2>wrestleme is, particularly mine. Maybe they're too high. I'm not sure, <v Speaker 2>but yeah, And as far as the Intercontinental title match, <v Speaker 2>that's as Michael Cole said, and I will piggyback off <v Speaker 2>of him. This is not a match. This is a <v Speaker 2>match that we look at and I know it's not <v Speaker 2>one that we really like talk about because of Cody <v Speaker 2>and Sina and potentially the Rock coming back, and that's <v Speaker 2>sucking all the air out of the room and all <v Speaker 2>the conversations there. The Kevin Owens injury with Randy Orton <v Speaker 2>obviously took a lot of the conversation away from any <v Speaker 2>of these type of matches. But this match here is <v Speaker 2>one that I would totally agree and piggyback on Michael Cole. <v Speaker 2>This is a you can't sleep on it. This could <v Speaker 2>be a match of the night. How can it not be? <v Speaker 2>And as I mentioned on my Weekend or my Raw review, <v Speaker 2>I said, no, it's a mailbag that this could be <v Speaker 2>a match where everybody has a really strong case to <v Speaker 2>win everybody. And yes, I think there is a definite <v Speaker 2>chance the judgment day finally splits, particularly with Dom and Finn. <v Speaker 2>But you can make a case for Dom to win here, <v Speaker 2>Finn to win here, you could have a retention from <v Speaker 2>bron Breaker and Penta, who's you know, got a lot <v Speaker 2>of momentum. There's really no bad choice and that's what <v Speaker 2>makes it fun as well. Not only is this an <v Speaker 2>incredibly a crazy toss up, don't put any money on <v Speaker 2>this match, I continue to say that people bet and <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania say the hell away from this one. That's number one. <v Speaker 2>But also with this match, this is going to be <v Speaker 2>a very good You have four guys incredibly athletic in <v Speaker 2>their prime. This is going to be how can it <v Speaker 2>not be at least in contention for Match of the night. <v Speaker 2>So this one, I would agree, While it's not one <v Speaker 2>that's been at the top of everyone's list, at the <v Speaker 2>top of their minds, my gob what's gonna happen, this <v Speaker 2>is one of those ones that this is not a <v Speaker 2>snack break, This is not a merch break, this is <v Speaker 2>not a bathroom break. I'm telling you, this is one <v Speaker 2>that I think if given enough time, and you know <v Speaker 2>that's always something that can be adjusted depending on how <v Speaker 2>the rest of the show goes, then I think this <v Speaker 2>will be a very very good match. Again, match of <v Speaker 2>the night can tender. So thank you, Thank you so much, <v Speaker 2>James and over in New Zealand. Very good. You never <v Speaker 2>know who the hell's listening. It's kind of scary at <v Speaker 2>the same time. All right, let's go to one more person, <v Speaker 2>then we'll continue a little bit more of the weekend review. <v Speaker 2>Let's go to. <v Speaker 4>LG. <v Speaker 2>I'm not sure, LG. Let's I'll try to take off <v Speaker 2>mute here, LG. What's your name? Where are you calling from? <v Speaker 5>Hey, Matt, It's Louise from the After Dark Show. <v Speaker 2>How did I not guess that? Damn? <v Speaker 5>I was trying to be a lurker and just listen in. <v Speaker 5>But I'm happy to you know, wanted to participate in <v Speaker 5>the live show. <v Speaker 2>There you go, Well you should have put your initial <v Speaker 2>something different. I would have never guessed yeah and just <v Speaker 2>put it yeah. So awesome. Yeah, I'm glad we connected. <v Speaker 2>What's on the forefront of your mind? <v Speaker 5>Honestly, I'm just here to listen. I'm here to see <v Speaker 5>what's going on. It seems like I'm more excited for <v Speaker 5>night two, to be honest, but I right now, I'm <v Speaker 5>just a watcher. I'm just a listener. Nothing popping in <v Speaker 5>my head right now. <v Speaker 2>Awesome. Let me ask this, because this is my first <v Speaker 2>time using this platform as far as live goes, did <v Speaker 2>you do anything different to be to pop up here <v Speaker 2>in my list where I could take off mute or <v Speaker 2>did you just click on the link and that was it. <v Speaker 5>I clicked on the link and then it was like, hey, <v Speaker 5>are you ready? To record and then it popped me in. <v Speaker 2>Okay, cool, all right, well enjoyed listen only Mode I <v Speaker 2>and I everybody. By the way, a good time for <v Speaker 2>a plug check out at the after Dark show, guys <v Speaker 2>that he does every single week every Wednesday Wednesday Night. <v Speaker 2>Check it out and go on Patreon for that. So awesome. <v Speaker 2>I'm so glad we connected, Louis. Thank you so much. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for the yeah. Yeah, all right, So guys, <v Speaker 2>that's Louise. I'm telling you check him out. He's better <v Speaker 2>than I am. And I don't mean that just because <v Speaker 2>he's on the damn you know, on the call, all right, <v Speaker 2>So I'm not blowing smoke. He really is awesome. So <v Speaker 2>all right, let's continue, and uh, let's go through a <v Speaker 2>little bit more of SmackDown and touch on raw as <v Speaker 2>I always say, because we have a whole show dedicated <v Speaker 2>to that. I want to talk about La Night and <v Speaker 2>Orton and Solo and Tomatanga. But the setup for this <v Speaker 2>match was Orton and nick All. This in the ring <v Speaker 2>where nick All this rightfully so, was angry and he <v Speaker 2>looked like he wanted to do something. That was the <v Speaker 2>first time that we saw Nick All this actually angry <v Speaker 2>and see what his angry face looks like and that <v Speaker 2>he you know, he might actually do something. He's been <v Speaker 2>a professionals professional as a GM. He has been one <v Speaker 2>of the best GMS that I've ever seen. I mean, <v Speaker 2>we've had some good wins who have Paul Hayman, we <v Speaker 2>have Stephanie McMahon, We've had Teddy Long, Eric Bischoff, you'll <v Speaker 2>go down the list. He's up there in terms of <v Speaker 2>just just perfectly fitting the role. And this is the <v Speaker 2>first time I've seen him angry and wondering. Maybe he <v Speaker 2>you know, comes out of the out of the GM role, <v Speaker 2>takes that hat off and as Orton said, you know, <v Speaker 2>trade the suit in for some ring gear, and he didn't. <v Speaker 2>He he didn't, And I'm glad. Randy Orton also reminded <v Speaker 2>us that he pre paid ahead of time for a <v Speaker 2>future RKO. I had forgotten that he did that. I <v Speaker 2>don't know if that was what they were thinking about here, <v Speaker 2>but he I guess they knew at some point his <v Speaker 2>character is probably going to hit another RKO on the <v Speaker 2>GM because that's what he does. But I'm so glad that, <v Speaker 2>you know, it makes me go, oh, man, how do <v Speaker 2>I forget that? You know, there's just too much content <v Speaker 2>of wrestling to remember that stuff. But I I appreciated <v Speaker 2>that little detail being brought up again. And you know, <v Speaker 2>when Solo so CoA comes out, as Randy Orton was saying, <v Speaker 2>I don't have an opponent, I need an opponent for WrestleMania, <v Speaker 2>Solo so CoA comes out, and yeah, I'm thinking out God, <v Speaker 2>you know, no disrespecting on Solo Socoa. All right, Solo <v Speaker 2>so CoA is he's not what he used to be. <v Speaker 2>He has fallen pretty hard here, and not to the <v Speaker 2>point of I'm worried about his career, but to the <v Speaker 2>point where he's not really what I think about, Like <v Speaker 2>his bloodline faction is not really relevant right now. I <v Speaker 2>understand he's got Tomatonga. I understand the detention with Jacob Fatu. <v Speaker 2>We all know where that's eventually gonna go. With Jacob Fatu. <v Speaker 2>You know, he's a he's a shove away from a <v Speaker 2>baby face run. But that's ultimately where it's going to <v Speaker 2>lead is probably the dissension of the judgment day and <v Speaker 2>then the dissension of the dissolution of the bloodline two <v Speaker 2>point zero here with Solo and Jacob Futuo at WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>predictions to come this week. By the way, Friday, I'll <v Speaker 2>try to get them. Maybe he'll get them out a <v Speaker 2>little earlier, but probably on the Friday show. It'll be <v Speaker 2>a massive prediction show. So Solo and Tomatonga come out here, <v Speaker 2>and he asked nick All this to tell Orton to <v Speaker 2>leave the ring, and Solo said, no one wants to <v Speaker 2>hear Orton whine about not having a WrestleMania match. Solo <v Speaker 2>said Orton is in the past and that's where La <v Speaker 2>Knight will end up after Jacob Fantu beats him for <v Speaker 2>the West title of WrestleMania. And Orton said he was <v Speaker 2>trying to be diplomatic for the first time in his career, <v Speaker 2>but Solo and Tomatonga making are making him hear voices, <v Speaker 2>and Orton called for them to get in the ring <v Speaker 2>and they got the better of Orton. That's where La <v Speaker 2>Knight comes out. Helped Orton clear the the heels from <v Speaker 2>the rig and then Night got a mic and said <v Speaker 2>he took his name out of it, said he took <v Speaker 2>his name out of Solo's mouth and put his fist <v Speaker 2>in it. And Knight said he knows Orton didn't get <v Speaker 2>enough and neither did he, and that's where the tag team, <v Speaker 2>the predictable but fun tag team main event was made, <v Speaker 2>and I think it was yeah, I mean, we'll get <v Speaker 2>to that match, and actually, let's get to it right now. <v Speaker 2>What that am I waiting for? So this match, I <v Speaker 2>mean it was. It was what it was. It was <v Speaker 2>nine minutes long. It wasn't so much about the match <v Speaker 2>itself because he kind of know who is going to <v Speaker 2>win here as Lae Knight and Norton do beat Solo <v Speaker 2>and Tomatonga, and the finish was Night hitting the bftmaton <v Speaker 2>on Tomatanga for the victory. RKO also was delivered on Tomatonga. Now, <v Speaker 2>Solo and Randy did leave the ring and they ended <v Speaker 2>up fighting through the crowd, and that concerns me that <v Speaker 2>this could end up just being a sign, a signal <v Speaker 2>that Orton and Orton and Solo are destined for a <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania match. It could be. I mean, it's not exactly exciting, <v Speaker 2>but if it ends up being a solo Orton match <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania, then so be it. I don't believe to this. <v Speaker 2>I've been checking WWE twitter feed. I don't see anything <v Speaker 2>that says anything, you know, referencing what Orton's going to <v Speaker 2>do at WrestleMania. So if it's Orton and solo, not <v Speaker 2>exactly exciting, but it's it gets Orton on the card <v Speaker 2>and he's deserving to be on the card because he's <v Speaker 2>I mean, what more can you say about Randy Orton <v Speaker 2>legend and so great. Gets him on the card. But <v Speaker 2>that could be what they're signaling here, just keeping everybody's <v Speaker 2>I would keep your bar low on Randy Orton's opponent. <v Speaker 2>I'll just say that. So Jacob Fatudo comes to the ring, <v Speaker 2>he attacks Elly Night, he hit his Moon Salt finish, <v Speaker 2>He picked up the US title and he licked it <v Speaker 2>while the executive producer credits were shown, and he fought <v Speaker 2>to then went up hit another Moon Salt to close <v Speaker 2>the show. And that's fine. I mean the crowd though, <v Speaker 2>if you notice, as much as they love l a Night, <v Speaker 2>they're starting to I mean, and they have been all along, <v Speaker 2>really starting to side with Jacob Fatu. They just need <v Speaker 2>one reason. They just need a tiny push. And this <v Speaker 2>guy's a babyface bar none because they smell a star <v Speaker 2>in him, as we all do. He came in and <v Speaker 2>immediately took the spotlight away from Solo intentionally or not, <v Speaker 2>That's what happened. The fans immediately gravitated to Jacob Fatu <v Speaker 2>because they see something in him that they go, WHOA, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I know you're a heelver, supposed to be you, but <v Speaker 2>there's something there. There's something there, and we want to <v Speaker 2>grab onto it. He looks different, He's got that animalistic <v Speaker 2>it's just presence about him. He's younger, you know, he's <v Speaker 2>just he's got all the tools, he's got that intangible <v Speaker 2>you can't teach that we hear so much about, and <v Speaker 2>I think the fans are sniffing it out. And the <v Speaker 2>concern is if you're an La Knight fan, not only <v Speaker 2>is he I guess odds I have to look at <v Speaker 2>the Vegas odds, but I believe the last night I looked, <v Speaker 2>Jacob fa two is odds on favorite to beat Ellen <v Speaker 2>Knight for the US title. Not only that, but you <v Speaker 2>have to wonder about the crowd reaction of WrestleMania between <v Speaker 2>Jacob Fatwo and Ellen Knight, because with the new shiny <v Speaker 2>toy of Jacob Fatu and l A. Knight, who the <v Speaker 2>fans still love and have no reason to really hate. <v Speaker 2>How are they going to do here? My guess is <v Speaker 2>it's a battle. It's probably like, you know, fifty to <v Speaker 2>fifty Jacoba two and l A Knight chance, I don't <v Speaker 2>know if you know Ellen Knight will get booed per se. <v Speaker 2>But the cheers I think will match one another, as <v Speaker 2>Jacob Futt too is destined to be a big star <v Speaker 2>barring some injury or change of career or whatever. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>all right, so anyway, let's continue with some other things <v Speaker 2>here that happened SELENEA Vega and Chelsea Green in a <v Speaker 2>non title match for the women's Rather, it was a <v Speaker 2>non title match with the women's US champion, Chelsea Green <v Speaker 2>and Selena Vega. This match apparently wasn't supposed to end <v Speaker 2>this way, so it ended with a count out in <v Speaker 2>a minute, and it was a disaster, right, there's no way. <v Speaker 2>And reports have followed this as well that this was <v Speaker 2>supposed to be the finish Selena Vega beat Chelsea Green <v Speaker 2>in a non title match, Here be a count out <v Speaker 2>and the cheers were really kind of drowned down by <v Speaker 2>the booze, and rightfully so, because the crowd was just like, <v Speaker 2>what the f was this? You know it was not <v Speaker 2>a good finish. It's kind of hard to believe something <v Speaker 2>like that as happens still, but I give the referee credit. <v Speaker 2>I give the referee credit if this is indeed true, <v Speaker 2>because the referee understands what the finish is supposed to be. <v Speaker 2>But the referee also has to enforce the rules and <v Speaker 2>make it seem like this is legit contest. So I <v Speaker 2>think that this is something that you have to actually <v Speaker 2>take into consideration when it comes to the actual the <v Speaker 2>actual legitimacy of this, of this of this contest. So <v Speaker 2>that's something I think we need to consider as well. <v Speaker 2>And let's see here, So I gonna hold on one second, guys, <v Speaker 2>we're live. So what else I want to do is <v Speaker 2>ask you, guys one thing. When it comes to Chelsea Green. <v Speaker 2>I understand the appeal of her. I understand why fans <v Speaker 2>like her. I understand the kind of the innocent feel <v Speaker 2>of her and the kind of ditzy feel of who <v Speaker 2>she is. But like, I don't know how much longer <v Speaker 2>they can continue with Chelsea Green as US champion, because <v Speaker 2>as fun as it's been with her as champion, and <v Speaker 2>she was a fun, little kind of intram champion, and <v Speaker 2>the problem with her character is she is usually eminently <v Speaker 2>believable beatable, where you have so many other stars that <v Speaker 2>you know could easily beat her, but she lucks her <v Speaker 2>way out. She is this ditsy kind of yeah, easily <v Speaker 2>like lovable loser character that somehow slipped her way into <v Speaker 2>a championship. She slipped on a banana peal and became <v Speaker 2>US Champion. So I think that this is something that <v Speaker 2>we need to really think about with Chelsea Green as champion, <v Speaker 2>and I hope that at some point they got to <v Speaker 2>drop the US title to somebody else that actually can <v Speaker 2>carry the women's champion the women's US Championship division, if <v Speaker 2>that's a thing with a little bit more strength. And again, <v Speaker 2>nothing against Chelsea when it comes to just pure like <v Speaker 2>nothing personal, but I don't think she is for too <v Speaker 2>much longer should be US Champion. When it comes to <v Speaker 2>just how fans should view the US Championship, they view <v Speaker 2>it a little bit more lightheartedly, and I don't think <v Speaker 2>that's a good thing long term. All right, So let's <v Speaker 2>go to Ray Phoenix and Berto. Now, Ray Phoenix and <v Speaker 2>Berto went ten minutes and forty five seconds, and this match, <v Speaker 2>I mean Ray Phoenix coming in here, has done a <v Speaker 2>short sample size, but done a really nice job, all right. <v Speaker 2>And Barto was there as the in house enhancement talent. <v Speaker 2>You know he's gonna lose the match. Ray Phoenix needs <v Speaker 2>to make himself a name and he needs to get <v Speaker 2>fans behind him, show fans to him what he is. <v Speaker 2>Berto is the perfect guy to do that. Barto can <v Speaker 2>take a loss, he can take a bump, he can <v Speaker 2>make Ray Phoenix look kind of like a million bucks. <v Speaker 2>And that's exactly what this match was about, with Ray <v Speaker 2>Phoenix beating Barto in nearly eleven minutes, so it was <v Speaker 2>a in terms of TV matches, a somewhat lengthy match. <v Speaker 2>And this After the match, Santos an Angel returned to ringside, <v Speaker 2>Escobar spoke with Barto and then pulled Phoenix up to <v Speaker 2>his feet. Then Escabar wanted Barredo shake hands or shake <v Speaker 2>Phoenix's hand, but Barto blew him off and left the <v Speaker 2>ring with Angel, and Escabar shook Phoenix's hand before leaving <v Speaker 2>the ring. So, first of all, giving Angel and Bartol <v Speaker 2>their their name's last names back would be nice, but <v Speaker 2>also this match again was it was enjoyable. I think <v Speaker 2>it just showed what Ray Phoenix is, what he's capable of, <v Speaker 2>and they're building a lucidor division of sorts when you <v Speaker 2>look at all the guys that they brought in as <v Speaker 2>of late, so it's they have successors to Ray Miisterio. <v Speaker 2>It's not just Ray Mysterio and then these other guys, <v Speaker 2>which is what it's been for so long, you know, <v Speaker 2>Ultimal Dragon and you know, just there's been some pretty <v Speaker 2>big flops when it comes to WWE's presentation of Lucador Wrestling, <v Speaker 2>So building up some kind of you know, alternate while <v Speaker 2>they're not doing it overtly. Bringing in these guys I <v Speaker 2>think is good. And it's also good if you're a <v Speaker 2>company trying to go global or at least build more <v Speaker 2>successfully globally, because having the Luca doors in your roster <v Speaker 2>that you know you can bring to you know, South <v Speaker 2>America obviously Mexico, uh, and really show them around the world, <v Speaker 2>it's a smart thing to do. They're building this division <v Speaker 2>strategically and I don't follow them for it. So let's <v Speaker 2>I want to talk also really just awesome portion of SmackDown, <v Speaker 2>a portion of SmackDown that I also gave to last <v Speaker 2>week because Naomi I said last week, I said, where <v Speaker 2>the hell has this version of her been? Where has <v Speaker 2>she been? Where has this been? Why has this been buried? <v Speaker 2>Where was all of this during her her you know, <v Speaker 2>just empty promos and just kind of superficial entrances that <v Speaker 2>don't really have anything to them. She's all about and <v Speaker 2>she she had like her only vocabulary were the words <v Speaker 2>feel to glow like that's it, that's that's all she <v Speaker 2>was allowed to say for several years, and it became <v Speaker 2>just kind of I mean, yeah, boring, but also very <v Speaker 2>much just kind of like if that's all you've got, <v Speaker 2>like I mean, I don't need you on my TV. <v Speaker 2>And you knew that probably was more, but they weren't <v Speaker 2>allowing her to do that. And now they are allowing <v Speaker 2>her to just go full on dark. Now I'm loving it. <v Speaker 2>I think that this is this is the best version <v Speaker 2>of Naomi by a mile that we've ever seen. Having <v Speaker 2>her do what she's doing here has been just a <v Speaker 2>breath of fresh air. I think there's a good chance <v Speaker 2>that the fans don't cheer for Jade Cargole at WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>because Naomi's been here longer. They have more respect for her. <v Speaker 2>Out of that tenure Jade, we still don't know who <v Speaker 2>she is. Yeah, she cut a little bit of a <v Speaker 2>reciprocal promo on SmackDown that didn't still tell us that <v Speaker 2>really much anything about her. Naomi doing what she did here, <v Speaker 2>calling Jade Cargola snake and laughed about pushing her off <v Speaker 2>the ledge onto a hood of a car. She said <v Speaker 2>she'll take it her rightful places, champion, and she said <v Speaker 2>that Bianca won't even look at her now that Jade <v Speaker 2>is back. Naomi said she's doing what's best for her <v Speaker 2>and is going to get hers, and we told her <v Speaker 2>to proceed with caution. I mean this her look also, <v Speaker 2>I'd give in terms of just what they've done with <v Speaker 2>Naomi so far at ten out of ten, you know, <v Speaker 2>and her in ring style should represent this darkness. I <v Speaker 2>don't care what she needs to do to win. I <v Speaker 2>really again, caution. Wwe pun intended that the fans aren't <v Speaker 2>going to fully get behind Jade. You've even heard that <v Speaker 2>already every time Jade has made a massive return, and <v Speaker 2>she made a really good one at Elimination Chamber by <v Speaker 2>far her best, and the fans reacted pretty good, pretty <v Speaker 2>loud for her. But outside of that, there hasn't been <v Speaker 2>a whole lot of support organically for Jade. There's just <v Speaker 2>been this superficial Hey, yeah, you look like a million bucks. <v Speaker 2>We know that, two million bucks, but we don't know <v Speaker 2>who you are, we don't know why you're here, we <v Speaker 2>don't know what your goals are. You were victimized by <v Speaker 2>a bad friendship. Okay, So I guess we're supposed to <v Speaker 2>feel sympathy, and you know there's some there, but is <v Speaker 2>it enough to get people to grab onto her character <v Speaker 2>and be like, hey, yeah, boy, I really hope she <v Speaker 2>beats Naomi half to death. I don't think that's really <v Speaker 2>the case. I think fans, especially with the WrestleMania crowd, <v Speaker 2>knowing what they do, there's a good chance that they <v Speaker 2>end up cheering for Naomi. Not predicting it, but there's <v Speaker 2>a damn good chance of it. So I just wanted <v Speaker 2>to put that out there as a small possibility. So <v Speaker 2>that's really the big stuff on SmackDown, I would say too, <v Speaker 2>as far as uh, let's see here, oh SHANEA Bezer. <v Speaker 2>I know, I didn't really talk about this much because <v Speaker 2>of what's sort of really talk about. I mean, and <v Speaker 2>when I'm talking with Match, I'm talking about is Kayden <v Speaker 2>Carter and Katana chance Nts who took on Lyra and <v Speaker 2>Lyra and Bailey and Shana and Zoe and Meechen and <v Speaker 2>b Fab and Piper Niven albu Fire. I mean, it's <v Speaker 2>just a it was a gauntlet match for the women's <v Speaker 2>tag titles the WrestleMania. The match was fine, and in fact, <v Speaker 2>I would say that the ending of it, though was <v Speaker 2>with Bailey and Lyra was really well done in Piper <v Speaker 2>and all that. And again, I want, I want the <v Speaker 2>good teams to stay away from the women's tag titles <v Speaker 2>until they can show me they can they'll actually put <v Speaker 2>some you know, respect on those women's tag titles, because <v Speaker 2>every time a women's tag team wins it, they go <v Speaker 2>into hiding. They hand them the titles and then they're saying, hey, guys, <v Speaker 2>here's where you go now underground. They have like this <v Speaker 2>bunker and they're like, all right, well we're gonna we're <v Speaker 2>gonna keep you off TV for a little while. This <v Speaker 2>is the reward you get for becoming women's tag title champions. <v Speaker 2>That's that's surprise. They just have a curse on them. <v Speaker 2>So I don't want any tag team that I like <v Speaker 2>and I do like Bailey and Lyra. They're unique, new <v Speaker 2>fresh right, all checks all the boxes. I have a <v Speaker 2>sneaking suspicion they're probably going to win against Live Morgan <v Speaker 2>and Company at WrestleMania. So yeah, there is that. But <v Speaker 2>the one thing is, at least they're showing us pretty <v Speaker 2>much the depth of the women's tag team division on SmackDown. <v Speaker 2>You got them all. You pretty much got them all, <v Speaker 2>and that I will give WWE credit for, Whereas in <v Speaker 2>years past, WWE has just manufactured a bunch of people <v Speaker 2>who aren't tag teams but don't have anything going on, <v Speaker 2>and then they put them together and call them tag <v Speaker 2>teams and say, hey, look we have a division. Hey <v Speaker 2>look see see we've got these two people that aren't <v Speaker 2>doing anything but they're really a tag team. And look <v Speaker 2>look how many tag teams there are. And then of <v Speaker 2>course after WrestleMania, when they have this you know eight <v Speaker 2>women's tag team eight women or eighteen tag team match, <v Speaker 2>you know, they fall apart because they are on a <v Speaker 2>real team. They just needed them for WrestleMania to make <v Speaker 2>it look like there's a division. So that's not the <v Speaker 2>case here. That's not the case now. Bailey and Lyra <v Speaker 2>are new, but they seem to have nice chemistry. Shana <v Speaker 2>and Zoe have been a tag team for a while, <v Speaker 2>meeching in beefab or somewhat new. <v Speaker 5>You know. <v Speaker 2>Caden, Carna, Katana Chance have been a tag team for <v Speaker 2>as long as I can remember. So it's fine. There's <v Speaker 2>an actual tag team division, so to speak, on SmackDown <v Speaker 2>for the women. So that's a good thing. All right, Well, <v Speaker 2>let me talk to let's see here on SmackDown or <v Speaker 2>rather on raw. Let's talk about Jay, all right. I <v Speaker 2>want to talk about Jay and I want to talk <v Speaker 2>about Gunther because there is there's excitement here that didn't <v Speaker 2>exist a week ago for me, and maybe you're feeling <v Speaker 2>the same now. The beatdown of his brother a week ago, <v Speaker 2>two weeks go, now was what this just a few <v Speaker 2>needed to actually turn this whole thing around that had <v Speaker 2>been otherwise just boring. I mean, it just flat out boring. <v Speaker 2>That's the adjective I'd use. It was boring boring, And <v Speaker 2>now that turned it. Jay this past week solidified I <v Speaker 2>think a lot more interest in people with his promo <v Speaker 2>coming out saying what he did. You know that he's <v Speaker 2>not afraid of guntherro anymore, and he needs to essentially <v Speaker 2>ask God forgiveness for the man he's going to become <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania to basically do what he needs to do <v Speaker 2>to beat the holy hell out of Gunther and then <v Speaker 2>capture the World Tag Team or the World Tag Team, <v Speaker 2>the World Championship from Gunther. And I still don't want <v Speaker 2>Gunther to lose. I think Gunther has much more in <v Speaker 2>the tank when it comes to his actual run. I <v Speaker 2>don't think there's enough going on here with his run. <v Speaker 2>I think they could get another six to twelve months <v Speaker 2>out of him that. I mean, they easily could. But <v Speaker 2>if Jay were to win, I wouldn't lose my mind, <v Speaker 2>all right. I mean I don't think he should, but <v Speaker 2>I understand why they could be positioning him to do it. <v Speaker 2>It's a babyface, it's WrestleMania. Now, it's the Royal He's <v Speaker 2>the Royal Rumble winner. And if they positioned it in <v Speaker 2>a way that still protects Gunther, I could see where <v Speaker 2>they'd want to do it. Crowd I think is somewhat <v Speaker 2>ready for it. Uh And this past week, the best <v Speaker 2>thing that Jay ever did, I said this on Friday. <v Speaker 2>He changed how he cuts a promo, or at least <v Speaker 2>he did for a portion of it to make us <v Speaker 2>pay attention. He just spoke in his natural voice. I <v Speaker 2>brought that up, but it's so important that he did <v Speaker 2>that because it humanized him. It was just him as <v Speaker 2>a person speaking. It wasn't actually, you know, a character. <v Speaker 2>You see so much a Jay, and he's very enthusiastic, <v Speaker 2>and he is magnetic, he's likable, he's he's all that, <v Speaker 2>but he's he's still look at me as a character. <v Speaker 2>This version of him that we saw on Monday was <v Speaker 2>very much a person speaking to Gunther, just a human <v Speaker 2>being speaking to Gunther, and that's I think it was <v Speaker 2>the most effective part by far, easily the best promo <v Speaker 2>Jay has ever cut in his career, by a long shot. <v Speaker 2>Gunther didn't have much to say in response, but that's fine. <v Speaker 2>The idea was to get Jay the last word, and <v Speaker 2>that's what happened. So I after last Monday, now I'm <v Speaker 2>interested to see the outcome, interested to see how Jay <v Speaker 2>actually follows up on his word. I didn't know he <v Speaker 2>was afraid of Gunther. That was something I don't think <v Speaker 2>was really made clear, and so I enjoyed that. I <v Speaker 2>really really did, as far as the women's side of <v Speaker 2>things go on Raw with the triple threat there. Now, <v Speaker 2>we all saw this. We all knew that we were <v Speaker 2>going to get a triple threat for the women's championship <v Speaker 2>on Raw that was coming for SID It felt like months. <v Speaker 2>It felt like it was coming for months and months, <v Speaker 2>and it finally came. We finally got the official women's <v Speaker 2>triple threat for WrestleMania. And I initially I was against it, <v Speaker 2>and I still would prefer one on one. I'm a <v Speaker 2>big one on one guy at WrestleMania when it comes <v Speaker 2>to championships. I understand they want to put a triple <v Speaker 2>threat in here and there this one. I still prefer <v Speaker 2>one on one with Rhea and with Bianca, but fine. <v Speaker 2>EO Sky is the hot hand right now. Eo Sky, <v Speaker 2>while she doesn't under or can't communicate English very well, <v Speaker 2>still fans have gravitated to her because of her work. <v Speaker 2>Her body of work has really grabbed the fans and <v Speaker 2>pulled along with her. She's been here for a long <v Speaker 2>time now. We've seen bad iterations of her. She's done <v Speaker 2>the damage control thing that did nothing but pun intended <v Speaker 2>damage to everyone in that group. I mean, it was <v Speaker 2>essentially the downfall of Bailey putting that group together. But <v Speaker 2>right now you have you have EO in a position <v Speaker 2>that the fans want her to retain. I really now <v Speaker 2>they I think the fans would be okay with Rho winning, <v Speaker 2>but they've turned on Bianca and there does seem to <v Speaker 2>be a consensus now of the fans against Bianca winning, <v Speaker 2>which is there's so many layers to this, so I'm <v Speaker 2>trying not to complicate it. You could peel back the <v Speaker 2>onion for an hour. But Bianca has been out of <v Speaker 2>the singles run for a long time. She's been essentially <v Speaker 2>just the crutch for Jade Cargill since her debut in <v Speaker 2>w WE. She's been forced into the tag team division. <v Speaker 2>She was Tag Team Champions, and she wasn't, then she <v Speaker 2>was and she wasn't. And then she gets into the <v Speaker 2>limination chamber finally is what it seemed like two years <v Speaker 2>and she wins, and I'm thinking, great, here we go <v Speaker 2>one on one, and then EO wins the belt from <v Speaker 2>Riha on raw and I'm that I still don't I <v Speaker 2>still don't agree with that. As much as the fans <v Speaker 2>like EO, you gotta do WrestleMania one on one with <v Speaker 2>Ria and Bianca, they're more than capable of having a <v Speaker 2>absolute classic. But fine, EO's there now, and you get <v Speaker 2>this sloppy Yeah, how do we get there? We're gonna <v Speaker 2>get to the triple threat? But how do we get there? <v Speaker 2>And we all know that, you know they're they're going to, <v Speaker 2>it's just how and they did. So you have the <v Speaker 2>fans turned against Bianca even though she's been out of <v Speaker 2>the singles run for a while. And then you have Ria, <v Speaker 2>who essentially just lost the championship that the fans still <v Speaker 2>have a love for that they wouldn't mind her recapturing. <v Speaker 2>And then you have EO who beat Rhea, and the <v Speaker 2>fans are I think if you pull, everybody would majoratively <v Speaker 2>want her to retain. So Bianca hasn't completely leaned into <v Speaker 2>the heel portion of her character yet, because I think <v Speaker 2>WWE is either gonna wait for WrestleMania, wait till the <v Speaker 2>night after WrestleMania, not do it at all. I mean <v Speaker 2>that's all possibility, or they're gonna wait for consistency multiple <v Speaker 2>months of fans turning on her. See if it's a <v Speaker 2>you know, if it truly is a pattern, and it <v Speaker 2>did carry over from the European Tour. I was wondering <v Speaker 2>if it wasn't going to and it did. It came <v Speaker 2>over from the European Tour. We caught the virus of <v Speaker 2>booing Bianca and and she wore black on raw. She <v Speaker 2>was not in her little usual skippy mood, twirling her <v Speaker 2>hair to the ring. That was not the version of <v Speaker 2>Bianca we got. So they could perhaps be showing us Okay, fine, yeah, <v Speaker 2>we'll turn her heel and wearing all black. That's the <v Speaker 2>first time I've seen Bianca that dark. I think that <v Speaker 2>was a very big clue too, that okay, let's do it. <v Speaker 2>But as far as match quality, this match, I mean, <v Speaker 2>much like the Fatal four way for the Interconninental Championship, <v Speaker 2>this one is towards the top of my list of <v Speaker 2>I'd say, in the top three of what could be <v Speaker 2>from just in ring, not story per se, but just <v Speaker 2>in ring. This could be match of the night easily, <v Speaker 2>should beat all the other women's matches, all right, this <v Speaker 2>one should be match contender in the discussion for match <v Speaker 2>of the night. These three women are that good, that <v Speaker 2>good great style contrasts great chemistry, and the story really <v Speaker 2>of EO being the kind of the sides really kind <v Speaker 2>of being dismissed by both Rhea and Bianca. Is I mean, <v Speaker 2>this has been going on for some weeks. Is kind <v Speaker 2>of a fun little story that they're ignoring her, yet <v Speaker 2>she's the one holding the championship and Nick could be <v Speaker 2>a precursor to, Hey, you guys are so focused on <v Speaker 2>each other, I'm gonna come in and steal to win, <v Speaker 2>and she very well could. I mean, you could get <v Speaker 2>a riptide and EO kicks Rhea out of the ring <v Speaker 2>and covers for a one two three or hits the <v Speaker 2>insane elbow, uh, you know, and boom one two three. <v Speaker 2>But I mean, this is something that I think could <v Speaker 2>easily happen. But this is a program that I've slowly <v Speaker 2>kind of come to terms with this being a triple threat. <v Speaker 2>I went kicking and screaming into it because Riha and <v Speaker 2>Bianca have not had a one on one to my knowledge, <v Speaker 2>on a big platform of any kind since they came <v Speaker 2>up from NXT. I know they had interactions at the <v Speaker 2>Rumble a few years ago. They were the final two <v Speaker 2>in the Rumble a few years ago, and they teased <v Speaker 2>it on I think the Monday Night Raw after that <v Speaker 2>of them you know, passing one another of the Monday <v Speaker 2>Night I'm sorry, the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania. I <v Speaker 2>forget what number. It was, thirty eight, maybe thirty nine, <v Speaker 2>and they passed each other and you're thinking, Okay, here <v Speaker 2>we go. They could this is a precursor the next year, <v Speaker 2>and they never did it, and then here we are <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania forty one and they're kind of doing it. So <v Speaker 2>I mean, they'll eventually get to it, but I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Can you tell them a little biased for one on one? <v Speaker 2>I think it's the best way, especially at WrestleMania, to <v Speaker 2>tell the story that needs to be told, because when <v Speaker 2>you add a third person, regardless of how big of <v Speaker 2>a star they are and how cool it looks on paper, <v Speaker 2>to add this person, you're muddying the waters of what <v Speaker 2>could be a great story one on one because there's <v Speaker 2>that third path. And sure it adds an unpredictability, but <v Speaker 2>I'm more for good storytelling than I am just for <v Speaker 2>pure unpredictability for just unpredictability's sake. So riham Bianca to <v Speaker 2>be with the paralleled careers, they have the similarity of <v Speaker 2>their careers that they have not identical, but there's similarities. <v Speaker 2>The style of wrestling that Bianca and Rihab both have <v Speaker 2>is while it's similar, which usually would lead to it <v Speaker 2>being not good because if they're similar, then it's they're <v Speaker 2>both trying to do the same thing in the same moves. <v Speaker 2>That's not the case here. They're both extremely strong, powerful <v Speaker 2>women in the ring and they have a power style, <v Speaker 2>but yet they're so athletic that they're able to kind <v Speaker 2>of gel both styles where it compliments one another and <v Speaker 2>be athletic when the other one's doing, you know, trying <v Speaker 2>to perform a power move and vice versa. And they <v Speaker 2>just work so well together. And I think that this <v Speaker 2>is something that eventual they're gonna get to. It's going <v Speaker 2>to be one on one at some point. But I'm <v Speaker 2>still looking forward to this match. This is this is <v Speaker 2>going to be a hell of a match. So now, <v Speaker 2>as far as I want to mention one more thing <v Speaker 2>here because I know I keep harping on this, but <v Speaker 2>I want to I want to know if they with <v Speaker 2>John Cena and Cody Rhodes, I do have to say <v Speaker 2>story has been up for me. It's been good. John <v Speaker 2>Cena's healed promos. The first one was not as fun <v Speaker 2>for me as the second one is second one he <v Speaker 2>kind of honed more in. No one's mentioned the Rock, <v Speaker 2>which is just bizarre. Uh, But the ending of that match, <v Speaker 2>which is going to be taking place exactly in one week, <v Speaker 2>but right now we're probably watching or at least the <v Speaker 2>start of the match of John Cena and Cody Rhoads, <v Speaker 2>depending on how much time they have. I mean, we <v Speaker 2>could be close to the end of the match right now. <v Speaker 2>I do wonder what exactly the finish is going to <v Speaker 2>be give it as WrestleMania, given what we saw last <v Speaker 2>year with the Shma's Bloodline finish, which was I mean, <v Speaker 2>it was a lot of people thought it was the <v Speaker 2>best finish of all time. I didn't. I didn't. I <v Speaker 2>understand many people, Oh, it's Cody's finishing his bedtime story <v Speaker 2>and it's all that, and I understand I understand why <v Speaker 2>people thought that. And oh my god, the Rocks here, Oh, <v Speaker 2>here comes John Cena. Oh my god, here comes Seth <v Speaker 2>Rollins as a Shield member. Here comes the Undertaker for <v Speaker 2>absolutely no reason because Stone Cold wasn't available because they <v Speaker 2>didn't want to pay him enough. So we got the Undertaker. <v Speaker 2>With no disrespect to Taker, but that was Austin's moment. <v Speaker 2>That was Austin's finish. That was Austin's slot. And now <v Speaker 2>we're a year later and we're kind of and not <v Speaker 2>just me, I'm hearing other podcasters, You're hearing a lot <v Speaker 2>of you guys on X. This could be a finish <v Speaker 2>that is very similar to the Bloodline rules of last <v Speaker 2>year with Roman and Cody. And there's some good reason <v Speaker 2>to believe that because the Rock we haven't seen or <v Speaker 2>heard from in a month and a half. The the <v Speaker 2>pl WrestleMania is taking place in Vegas, Austin lives in Vegas. <v Speaker 2>Who's the Rocks arch rival at WrestleMania, Stone call c <v Speaker 2>of Austin. They missed the opportunity to last year. I <v Speaker 2>do not think they're missing it this year. So there's <v Speaker 2>that Is there a possibility of anybody else interfering? Maybe <v Speaker 2>Drew McIntyre, I know that maybe people are sleeping on <v Speaker 2>him and his match against Damian Priest, which again I <v Speaker 2>said I I opened the show saying, I think it's <v Speaker 2>gonna be a better match than most people expect, and <v Speaker 2>I think it will be. This is this rivalry, while <v Speaker 2>I don't think it's deserving of what Drew deserves at <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania given the year he's had. I think there's bigger <v Speaker 2>plans and sore for Drew and he could be the <v Speaker 2>one to be align himself with the Rock. That's I've <v Speaker 2>heard that, and I know it's rumors and rumors, rumors, <v Speaker 2>But Drew in a heel faction, I'm not gonna you know, <v Speaker 2>I won't. I won't crap on that. So I think <v Speaker 2>Drew McIntyre right now is in a position to explode, <v Speaker 2>do something bigger than he's doing. He needs to because <v Speaker 2>Drew is we've seen it more than capable of doing <v Speaker 2>bigger things. So back to this match being a Bloodline <v Speaker 2>Rules finish similar to last year, I think it's I <v Speaker 2>think it'll be about half as messy, meaning it won't <v Speaker 2>be five people coming out. It'll be like two big people, <v Speaker 2>maybe three, right, So it'll be about half of what <v Speaker 2>happened last year. And sure there's possibilities of other people <v Speaker 2>We're not thinking about coming out very much of Bloodline <v Speaker 2>Rules Finish, and I really hope we do get an <v Speaker 2>Austin appearance. It's tailor made for Stone Cold to stun <v Speaker 2>the Rock and John Cena can still win. You know, <v Speaker 2>Austin doesn't have to be the savior to help Cody retain, <v Speaker 2>but Austin stunning the rock is something that we got <v Speaker 2>screwed out of last year and we deserved this year. <v Speaker 2>I mean, it just needs to happen a couple last things, guys, <v Speaker 2>and then I think we're gonna rap it. One is <v Speaker 2>the uh Russev return. Where's Russev? What's he gonna do? <v Speaker 2>I still believe they're gonna throw Russev into a mid <v Speaker 2>upper card spot, whether it's Intercontinental or US, so that's <v Speaker 2>probably where he'll land. Is it gonna be at WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>fifty to fifty? I mean that's a cop out because <v Speaker 2>I literally don't know. I could see where they slot <v Speaker 2>him for the night after, given the fact that they <v Speaker 2>already have everyone like it's all hands on deck for WrestleMania, <v Speaker 2>but you have to have some aces up to sleeve <v Speaker 2>for the night after. You know, the Monday night after <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania has got such high standards and you know, for <v Speaker 2>for big returns and debuts and everything like that. That's <v Speaker 2>something that I think they should reserve for the night <v Speaker 2>after WrestleMania. I do so is Russev out there. Yeah <v Speaker 2>he is, and I expect him for me. It'd being <v Speaker 2>Monday in Era after WrestleMania, and the last thing I'll <v Speaker 2>say aj styles Logan Paul. I know a lot of <v Speaker 2>you guys despise Logan Paul. He should be here. This <v Speaker 2>is he's you know, he's trash, he's a YouTube star. <v Speaker 2>All of those criticisms are really just you're lying to <v Speaker 2>yourself if you don't think that he's good in the <v Speaker 2>ring in terms of how we view quote unquote good today. <v Speaker 2>All right, Logan Paul is not my favorite person from <v Speaker 2>a person like from a yeah, personal perspective, but like <v Speaker 2>I wouldn't hang out with him, Okay, I wouldn't be. <v Speaker 2>I wouldn't be like, hey man, why don't you come <v Speaker 2>over for a few beers and I will hang out? <v Speaker 2>No like that. But I don't need to feel that <v Speaker 2>way about somebody to understand how good they are in <v Speaker 2>the ring and respect how good they are in the ring. <v Speaker 2>Now do I respect him as a wrestler. I mean <v Speaker 2>I respect to what he can do, but I don't <v Speaker 2>have that body of respect that I do for you know, <v Speaker 2>people that have been here for ten, fifteen, twenty years <v Speaker 2>that may come with time, but his ability in the <v Speaker 2>ring is if far exceeds what he should be able <v Speaker 2>to do. And AJ styles and logan Paul, I really <v Speaker 2>like that fit. I don't know who's going to win <v Speaker 2>that predictions again on Friday, but I really think this <v Speaker 2>is another match that has the potential to steal the show. <v Speaker 2>I'll have to look at the card and see if <v Speaker 2>it's Night one or two. I didn't look at the <v Speaker 2>card yet, but this match, it's easy to understand. It's simple, <v Speaker 2>Like the build has been very straightforward, and that's okay. <v Speaker 2>I don't need everything being complex with forty layers of <v Speaker 2>the onion. I need to peel back like some of <v Speaker 2>these programs I've been talking about, not much here to <v Speaker 2>really dissect. It's just you have a d bag, you know, <v Speaker 2>this d bag that's just inherently unlikable, but you know <v Speaker 2>he's good versus this grizzled vet that's still on the <v Speaker 2>back Well, he's on the back side of his career <v Speaker 2>in terms of his prime. He's you know, definitely got <v Speaker 2>more days behind him than in front of him. But <v Speaker 2>you have two guys that are high flying, innovative, unique <v Speaker 2>styles and this this has at least on paper, the <v Speaker 2>potential to be a really good match, really good it. <v Speaker 2>So I see absolutely why they put them together and <v Speaker 2>I'm looking forward to it so that I think that'll <v Speaker 2>do it. Guys, my first show here live. I'll be <v Speaker 2>doing a lot more of these as we move forward <v Speaker 2>in time with our WrestleMania week coverage and maybe I'll <v Speaker 2>even do my raw review live. We'll have to see you. <v Speaker 2>I have to see how that goes, because I may <v Speaker 2>be doing it as we get closer, and definitely for <v Speaker 2>the after WrestleMania, I'll be doing a live show because <v Speaker 2>everybody's gonna want to vent about something. There's not gonna <v Speaker 2>be anything coming out of WrestleMania that people are gonna <v Speaker 2>be like, oh, well, time to go to bed. It's yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's going to be a wild WrestleMania and people are gonna, <v Speaker 2>whether it's good or bad, have something to say about it. <v Speaker 2>So we'll have more about that as we move forward <v Speaker 2>in time. So that will do it. Everybody. I appreciate it. <v Speaker 2>We're live and I don't think we had too many <v Speaker 2>technical issues, So thank you everybody, and we'll chat next time. <v Speaker 3>Thanks for listening to the WWE podcast.
