<v Speaker 2>I'm so glad to have you. So do you guys
<v Speaker 2>also get tripped up on that and just like that?
<v Speaker 2>And just like Kat, that does happen pretty often.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, we're so used to saying and just like that.
<v Speaker 2>So you're fun on location tours? Which what does on
<v Speaker 2>location tours do?
<v Speaker 5>Yep, So we're actually we just celebrated twenty six years
<v Speaker 5>in business and we're one of the largest TV and
<v Speaker 5>movie tour companies in the world. We operate in New York, Chicago,
<v Speaker 5>and Boston, so we do all kinds of different TV
<v Speaker 5>and movie buston and walking tours, mainly bus tours, and
<v Speaker 5>one of our popular ones is the Sex and the
<v Speaker 5>City Hotspots tour.
<v Speaker 2>I was about to say, what's one of your popular ones,
<v Speaker 2>but we wouldn't be talking if it was not and
<v Speaker 2>Sex in the City because you probably we can just
<v Speaker 2>have and just like Cat. So, Sex and the City
<v Speaker 2>aired June nineteen ninety eight through February two thousand and four.
<v Speaker 2>The spinoff, which is called and Just Like That, started
<v Speaker 2>in the December twenty twenty one, I watched every episode
<v Speaker 2>of Sex in the City. I had HBO because that's
<v Speaker 2>what it was called back in the day. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know if there's different variations now, but I had HBO
<v Speaker 2>just for Sex in the City and that is so popular.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that spun off so many other iconic thing,
<v Speaker 2>you know, shoes and purses and clothing. And I'm sure
<v Speaker 2>you were busy, right everybody wanted to know where to
<v Speaker 2>get cupcakes in New York.
<v Speaker 5>Mm hmmm, that was very big. Yes.
<v Speaker 2>Have you had any really bizarre requests for tours with
<v Speaker 2>Sex and the City tours or and just like that tours?
<v Speaker 5>Well, I have to tell you one of my favorite
<v Speaker 5>stories was early on. I happen to be observing a
<v Speaker 5>tour guide on one of the tours and we were
<v Speaker 5>actually at the bakery where the famous cupcakes scene took place.
<v Speaker 5>And who's there but trade from the show. Carl McLaughlin,
<v Speaker 5>the actor, was there and the scene that had just
<v Speaker 5>taken place on the show, the previous show that had
<v Speaker 5>just air was where he was so awful to Charlotte.
<v Speaker 5>So there we were. There were about fifty two women
<v Speaker 5>on the Two Angry Men, who was and instead of
<v Speaker 5>asking him for a picture anything like that, they were
<v Speaker 5>basically kind of almost yelling at him about how he
<v Speaker 5>had treated Charlotte on the show. So it was it
<v Speaker 5>was pretty humorous.
<v Speaker 2>That's funny.
<v Speaker 5>That's funny.
<v Speaker 2>Sometimes people forget their you know, the actors and actresses
<v Speaker 2>are so good, they forget that they're portraying a character, you.
<v Speaker 5>Know, so exactly people.
<v Speaker 2>That's that's just that's funny. I think back in the
<v Speaker 2>day when I lived I lived in la for about
<v Speaker 2>twenty years, and you would regularly bump into celebrities, you know,
<v Speaker 2>at maybe Whole Foods in Beverly Hills or just other
<v Speaker 2>random places. And the thing was, and I back then,
<v Speaker 2>I was in school, I was working in restaurants, and
<v Speaker 2>we had a fair share of celebrities. But you had
<v Speaker 2>to be chill. You know, like if a celebrity, you know,
<v Speaker 2>celebrity came in inside, you might be going, oh whoa, whoa,
<v Speaker 2>I saw what'd be gone whoooo And that's outside You're like, yeah, chill,
<v Speaker 2>you know, oh that's so and so so, and you
<v Speaker 2>know what I mean, just like and inside it's like
<v Speaker 2>a firecracker going off. But yeah, I went into a
<v Speaker 2>lot of celebrities, most of them, I'd say over ninety
<v Speaker 2>percent were just nice, just wanted to be quiet and
<v Speaker 2>do their thing.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, absolutely, yep.
<v Speaker 2>So let's talk about and just like Cat. First of all,
<v Speaker 2>what made you guys decide to do a little spinoff
<v Speaker 2>series which is on Instagram right.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, yep, it's on Instagram And just like Cat? And
<v Speaker 5>it was actually kind of a funny story because on
<v Speaker 5>July first last year, exactly a year ago, my family
<v Speaker 5>adopted a beautiful Russian blue cat. Her real name is Orally,
<v Speaker 5>but she plays catty cat chop hunch folk. But in
<v Speaker 5>any case, so at some point after we got her,
<v Speaker 5>and I hadn't had a cat, and I wanted to
<v Speaker 5>say twenty five years. So here we were with this
<v Speaker 5>beautiful Russian blue who had just flown over from Moldova,
<v Speaker 5>and my Pato Jenna cat by the way, because my
<v Speaker 5>son's best friend is allergic to cats. So that all
<v Speaker 5>came about. And one day I was watching and just
<v Speaker 5>like that and I said something snap kind of came
<v Speaker 5>into place. I'm like, wait, and just like Cat, this
<v Speaker 5>cat is doing such funny things. It would be a
<v Speaker 5>perfect parody. So we went ahead and actually purchased the
<v Speaker 5>handle and just like cat from Instagram and created the parody.
<v Speaker 2>That's funny. So besides you Russian Blue, do you think
<v Speaker 2>cats if it amize females like the female persona more?
<v Speaker 2>It seems like that.
<v Speaker 5>Absolutely, it does seem like that. It's I always thought
<v Speaker 5>it was so funny how a lot of people say
<v Speaker 5>she for cats and he for dogs. I have no
<v Speaker 5>idea why that is, but I do think that, you know,
<v Speaker 5>cats also have a sort of sassiness that reminds me
<v Speaker 5>of like Samantha. We call sam Cat from Sex and City.
<v Speaker 5>We did, by the way, you want to base the
<v Speaker 5>parity little one minute episodes on the original six and
<v Speaker 5>City because we thought those episodes were so iconic. But
<v Speaker 5>also as I was starting to write these little snippet episodes,
<v Speaker 5>I realized there were so many great cat puns, you know,
<v Speaker 5>like your catitude. So that's great, and you know, between
<v Speaker 5>the word catastrophe, taking out pause on things, and all
<v Speaker 5>kinds of fun terms, just we just found it to
<v Speaker 5>have even more puns than dogs.
<v Speaker 2>Probably cats, You know what, Cats are stoic creatures, but
<v Speaker 2>they're sillier than dogs. Once you know them. They do
<v Speaker 2>a lot of silly things.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, absolutely there. Yeah, we had her, for example, Caddy
<v Speaker 5>cat Shaw Slash Early. She would get up on the
<v Speaker 5>my laptop so almost like she was typing like Carry Bradshaw.
<v Speaker 5>And we had her in so many funny videos and
<v Speaker 5>poses and pictures that it was just it was really
<v Speaker 5>easy in the end.
<v Speaker 2>A great story. So you mentioned one. So the names
<v Speaker 2>of the four starring cats. So you have Caddy cat
<v Speaker 2>Shaw mentioned, Samkat. What are the other two? So Meerkat
<v Speaker 2>and short Cat of course for Miranda and Charlotte. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>everybody always wants to know this, so I have to
<v Speaker 2>ask it, which character would you be?
<v Speaker 5>Great question? I have to say, and I hope I
<v Speaker 5>don't sound too cliche, but I definitely think Caddycatshaw because
<v Speaker 5>I studied writing in college, so my love is writing,
<v Speaker 5>and by even just by doing this, I'm back with
<v Speaker 5>my with my love, my life's love and having you know,
<v Speaker 5>doing comedic writing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh okay, great, Well, I was trying to figure out
<v Speaker 2>the breed of the four different cats. I wasn't close
<v Speaker 2>with orally Slash Catty Catshaw. Well maybe a little in
<v Speaker 2>my mind, I was kind of short, but not really.
<v Speaker 2>I thought you said Russian blue. Pretty short hair kind
<v Speaker 2>of looks like that Russian blue too, at least in
<v Speaker 2>my research.
<v Speaker 5>That's amazing. I'm so impressed by.
<v Speaker 2>You, me and Ai and Google. And then I know
<v Speaker 2>that Shark Cat is a tuxedo cat, which isn't a
<v Speaker 2>breed but just a style, you know, same as Mirror
<v Speaker 2>Cat is like a ginger. I don't know what Sam
<v Speaker 2>Cat is, just a blonde cat.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, we did want to go with more of a
<v Speaker 5>blondish cat. And then Meror Cat is sometimes has a
<v Speaker 5>bit of a not happy look on her face, but
<v Speaker 5>she's also has more of an orange fur, so we
<v Speaker 5>thought that was a little bit more Miranda, right.
<v Speaker 2>So what would you say to someone who if they said, ah,
<v Speaker 2>just like Cat, that's you know, that's some people think
<v Speaker 2>it's just for women, which is not the case. And
<v Speaker 2>what if you said, well, they're just for you know,
<v Speaker 2>we're catatude, we're cat lovers. But it's it, you know,
<v Speaker 2>how authentic or whatever. What would you say to them
<v Speaker 2>if they were a little pessimistic about maybe viewing and
<v Speaker 2>just like cat. And then we're going to get into
<v Speaker 2>the more of the episode details in the second half
<v Speaker 2>of the show, But what would you say to them.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I would say, you know, first of all, they're
<v Speaker 5>all only approximately a minute long, so quick enough. They're
<v Speaker 5>really just this of the different episodes in a funny way.
<v Speaker 5>But also for in fact, just earlier today, I happened
<v Speaker 5>to be speaking with this guy who said, wha, I
<v Speaker 5>always watched all the episodes in hiding. You know, it
<v Speaker 5>was like, I love the show, I loved the writing.
<v Speaker 5>I always watched it in hiding, and my wife watched
<v Speaker 5>it out in the open, so it's kind of fun.
<v Speaker 5>I just think for like appreciating the show and appreciating
<v Speaker 5>cats that you know, anybody could appreciate something like this.
<v Speaker 2>And I love that the clips are short so you
<v Speaker 2>don't go down like the rabbit hole and end up
<v Speaker 2>on Instagram for quite a bit of time when you
<v Speaker 2>should be working writing.
<v Speaker 5>We wanted to keep it to like a minute, and
<v Speaker 5>the whole idea of the wrap up, you know, at
<v Speaker 5>the end of similar to at the end of Sex
<v Speaker 5>and the City where she did always say and just
<v Speaker 5>like that, you know, that's what we kind of wanted
<v Speaker 5>to parody.

<v Speaker 2>you call it a mini series? And just like kat
<v Speaker 2>which is on Instagram, how many episodes have you created
<v Speaker 2>so far? We talked a little bit about it in
<v Speaker 2>the first half.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, So the first initial six episodes have come out.
<v Speaker 5>They're not in any order really, and they're just from
<v Speaker 5>different seasons really of the show, so not any order,
<v Speaker 5>but there are six of them that are posted internally.
<v Speaker 5>We call them episodes one through six, and I'm actually
<v Speaker 5>working right now on episode seven and eight, so those
<v Speaker 5>should be coming out shortly in the next week or so.
<v Speaker 2>So I thought the episodes, the choices that you picked
<v Speaker 2>were really cool, and there's a lot of you forget
<v Speaker 2>because the show is what half an hour long if
<v Speaker 2>I remember correctly.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, yes, the shows were actually I even want to
<v Speaker 5>say twenty three minutes.
<v Speaker 2>Right, well, there weren't commercials back then on cable.
<v Speaker 5>Right, right right, I think just twenty three minutes minutes.
<v Speaker 2>I want to say so much into twenty three minutes,
<v Speaker 2>and some of it is like going back, you know,
<v Speaker 2>through memory lane. I want to know your favorite episode
<v Speaker 2>for me, one with the breakup over the sticky note
<v Speaker 2>who does that? But It's just funny seeing the cat's
<v Speaker 2>version of it and this sticky note on the paw.
<v Speaker 2>So it was just I thought it was hilarious. What
<v Speaker 2>is your favorite?
<v Speaker 5>I actually I have to say it could because of
<v Speaker 5>the term catwalk, but where she falls down on the
<v Speaker 5>catwalk during the fashion show. Caddy cat Show has been
<v Speaker 5>asked to be in this Tulchingabana fashion show and she's
<v Speaker 5>walking down the catwalk and she falls wearing her jewels underwear.
<v Speaker 2>And Caddy Caatshaw is wearing jeweled underwear in the episode.
<v Speaker 2>Very stylish. Don't know how you got those on her,
<v Speaker 2>but looking good.
<v Speaker 5>Oh that was you have to say that kind of
<v Speaker 5>a photoshop got that on her, So that was a
<v Speaker 5>little bit easier.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, we figured.
<v Speaker 5>I was just agree.
<v Speaker 2>But jeweled underwear on a cat, oh my gosh.
<v Speaker 5>I wish the Adulchin cat Bana would sell that, you know,
<v Speaker 5>in real life.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, but cats hate to wear clothes. I got
<v Speaker 2>a sweater on Dennis once and he was moonwalking. I thought,
<v Speaker 2>what they don't like to wear clothes. I see some
<v Speaker 2>people with pictures like Nola cats dressed up wors glasses
<v Speaker 2>and no, not my cats. Yeah, let's talk some more
<v Speaker 2>about and just like Cat. So do you think with
<v Speaker 2>all the excitement about it and just like Cat and
<v Speaker 2>the different episodes that are you know, up and coming,
<v Speaker 2>that there may be an opportunity for more people to
<v Speaker 2>you know, maybe spurn cat adoption.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yes, you know, I didn't even think that would
<v Speaker 5>be wonderful. Yes, absolutely, that would be really really great
<v Speaker 5>because I really hope that these little snippets show the
<v Speaker 5>appreciation that the world has for Cat.
<v Speaker 2>Right, And I don't know, I was just I was
<v Speaker 2>as I was viewing them, I thought, this would be
<v Speaker 2>really cool if we've got a few more people out there,
<v Speaker 2>you know, to adopt from rescues or thinking about it rescuing.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, especially in New York City, there's a lot
<v Speaker 2>of rescues and T and R people there that are
<v Speaker 2>that work hard. There's so many cats.
<v Speaker 5>And ASPCA and everything. And I have to say, we
<v Speaker 5>can actually include cats if people contact us. We can
<v Speaker 5>include cats as the some almost be a couple of
<v Speaker 5>good pictures. We can include them as one of the characters.
<v Speaker 5>So in other words, like not the main characters, but
<v Speaker 5>as new characters come up, like for example, we just
<v Speaker 5>use a cat for Harry's character. We used a different
<v Speaker 5>one for Stanford catch as we call them instead of blatch,
<v Speaker 5>But you know, characters like that. So we always have
<v Speaker 5>new characters coming in from the show, and that may
<v Speaker 5>be a good way to feature some of the ones
<v Speaker 5>that who want to be adopted.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, that definitely would and you can actually put some
<v Speaker 2>of their info in your bio for Instagram or however
<v Speaker 2>you do it. But that would be interesting. What do
<v Speaker 2>you look for when you look for cats to play
<v Speaker 2>different characters? Charlotte's husband who is bald? You gotta sphinx, Matt,
<v Speaker 2>I gotta say good sense of humor? Yeah, what's his name?
<v Speaker 5>We actually it was funny because he was the only
<v Speaker 5>character who was quote unquote played by someone else before.
<v Speaker 5>And I said to our editor, I'm like, no, we
<v Speaker 5>needs like a cat. It was really short hair and
<v Speaker 5>who kind of looks more like the part of that character,
<v Speaker 5>you know, that's really strong character. And so she actually
<v Speaker 5>switched him out with this cat and threw a bow
<v Speaker 5>tie on him and everything. So it was really cute.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's so cute. What else do you look for
<v Speaker 2>as far as for other characters and what is your
<v Speaker 2>when you're looking for cats? Do you look for if
<v Speaker 2>they had, you know, like Sam's blonde. You have a
<v Speaker 2>blonde cat, but she's a main cat. What kind of
<v Speaker 2>cat is mister big Big?
<v Speaker 5>My gosh, I should go, oh you know what, No,
<v Speaker 5>I'm sorry when am I talking about I do have?
<v Speaker 5>This is so interesting. He is actually a Russian Blue
<v Speaker 5>mix and he literally is big. He's like a nice
<v Speaker 5>sized cat. So we thought, oh, this is perfect for
<v Speaker 5>him to play mister Bigcat. And we thought it was
<v Speaker 5>interesting that he's at least half a Russian Blue, so
<v Speaker 5>he was a shelter rescue. His real name is Charlie
<v Speaker 5>and he's at least half Russian Blue, so we thought,
<v Speaker 5>you know how interesting since Katy Keshrow was played by
<v Speaker 5>a Russian Blue.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, So any hint as to what we can expect
<v Speaker 2>to see in upcoming episodes. I know you're working on
<v Speaker 2>seven and eight now, so I don't know how much
<v Speaker 2>detail you can give us.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah. I'm actually really really excited because I'm working on
<v Speaker 5>the first time working on of seven and eight is
<v Speaker 5>the famous birkin Bag episode. So I'm really really excited.
<v Speaker 5>And in fact, we do need a cat to play
<v Speaker 5>Lucy Lue's character. So if there is a great rest
<v Speaker 5>your cat out there. We would love that.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that would be nice. So where can people find

<v Speaker 5>I was speaking of our marketing manager, Aaron, who is
<v Speaker 5>finally the proud owner of Mister Big Cat, and she
<v Speaker 5>and I were talking about how wow, how come there
<v Speaker 5>really a lot of sort of cat shows out there,
<v Speaker 5>you know, and it's like more full length. In fact,
<v Speaker 5>I think Sex and the City was thirty minutes long.
<v Speaker 5>I think it was incorrect in saying twenty three minutes.
<v Speaker 5>But you know something along those lines of a cat
<v Speaker 5>show that's thirty minutes long, a cat show that features
<v Speaker 5>places like New York City and also a I would
<v Speaker 5>say something that's a little bit less innocent would kind
<v Speaker 5>of be funny because I think we always put the
<v Speaker 5>idea of cats and shows. They're in cartoons and they're
<v Speaker 5>featured on a lot of little children things.
<v Speaker 2>Yep. And do you think there would ever be a
<v Speaker 2>tour for it though, like just like Cat instead of
<v Speaker 2>sex in the City tour, I don't know how you
<v Speaker 2>would do that unless they're cat cafes.
<v Speaker 5>Right right, right, Yeah, we would have to think of that.
<v Speaker 5>I was recently in a place which is actually a
<v Speaker 5>cat cafe where the owners can get coffee and then
<v Speaker 5>the cats play and kind of meet each other in
<v Speaker 5>a play space. That was actually in a little bit
<v Speaker 5>further upstate New York. But there may be a time
<v Speaker 5>I would say, maybe that's more of a dog thing
<v Speaker 5>where you know, people can kind of tour around with
<v Speaker 5>their pets.
<v Speaker 2>True, and they would be seeing the same places anyways.
<v Speaker 2>And just like KAT, because it's sex in the city,
<v Speaker 2>I'm thinking about a way to merge the two. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't know how good that of an idea that is.
<v Speaker 2>So it's great people can find out and just like KAT,
<v Speaker 2>they can do a search or find it on Instagram,
<v Speaker 2>also YouTube and TikTok. So Georgiette, please tell me. And
<v Speaker 2>just like Kat, is not seasonal, so there's like five
<v Speaker 2>episodes and I have to wait seven months to see
<v Speaker 2>the next five episodes. Are you going to be all
<v Speaker 2>your long and annual show, Yes, as we have so
<v Speaker 2>much to catch up on really great episodes, so we'll
<v Speaker 2>be releasing them throughout the year. Well, I'm very excited
