This is w w E Superstar Drew McIntire, and you're listening to the w w E podcast. Stop the show, the one that everybody wants me God Step three sixteen says, just quist your ass is my art. You're gonna acknowledgeree. Is that time once again for you guys to get your voices on the show and be able to ask questions and answer voicemails. It's a fun, fun time of the week right because it's not just me giving my thoughts, it's also you guys giving yours because without you, I wouldn't be here. I'm starting to feel like Cody Roads pandering. But before I do that, I want to thank you for everybody for listening. Of course, you can go add free on Patreon. You can go add free on Apple Podcasts. Both of them offer a one week free trial, so if you want to try us out before you commit anything, then that those two options are available to you. But most importantly, right now, we have a The After Dark show that I've been a bit slacking on, no doubt about it. On the Patreon side of things, that's gonna be taken over next Friday, not this Friday, but next Friday was that the that the fourteenth of September, whatever that day is, Anthony DeMarco will be taking over the show a weekly. The retro show will be going by the wayside. I may still post old ones now and then, but his show will be moving in the after Dark version to Patreon, So again, check that out on Patreon. That'll be debuting next Friday, the fourteenth of September, and it'll be available for those of you on the smackdowns here and above, so look for that. The current state of WWE, of course, is not going anywhere, but wanted to remind you of that. All right, mail back time patrons, y'all get priority as always, So let's talk to Dustin Wood, a new patron. Welcome Dustin, he says, new to the Patreon, but a long time listener. I know. And here the Cody Rhodes critiques did just want to share a fairly incredible gesture on his part that happened to impact my son this summer. To make a long and now very cool story somewhat short. For Father's Day, we got tickets on the entrance aisle form. My six year old son and I go to a w W Sunday stunner to see Cody Roads up close. He was advertised on the ww site for the show for months. It would have been my son's first wrestling show. Cody schedule came out early in June on social media, and he's not going to Charleston after all. We're crushed and sell the tickets, which were a stretch financially to make the experience special for my son's first event, to at least recover some of the money. Surprise announcement came out a few days before the show that Cody was coming again, and naturally the tickets are gone. No hope of getting that kind of i'le ticket back again, and anything close to the ring that was left was scooped up. When word got out that he's coming again. I posted the series of unfortunate events to Twitter and woke up the next morning to find a d M from Cody's account. They got us tickets and then publicly retweeted and replied to the post. Fast forward to the events and the seats were second row, right next to the ring. The match before Cody is scheduled to come out, a media person finds us walking down the road or our seat and asks us to stand in a specific spot in a corner by the security guard. Cody comes out with his usual grand entrances and makes his way to ringside and finds my son and gives him his weight belt on Father's dan no less surreal, all around baby face, heal wherever he goes. He's got a forever fan of my six year old son and quite obviously me as well. Okay, And then you also posted a link to the event that you speak of that was actually on the USA network dot com. That's okay. First of all, that's awesome, Okay, that I mean that speaks to the Cody Rhodes as a human being, right like, that's and sure you know the fact that he publicly posted it knowing that it's gonna, you know, not certainly hurt him in the public eye of doing it instead of doing it while no one's looking, right. You know, sometimes, and I'm not saying Cody Rhodes does this, but you know, some celebrities only do good deeds while the camera's on, and they want to make sure that the cameras see them so that it appears that they are genuinely nice guys and gals. Right, I'm not saying Cody Rhodes is that. But my point is, though, that's awesome, man, I mean that's kind of stuff trumps anything, right, That's a memory that you and your son will forever remember. It'll be imprinted. I don't know how old your son is. I don't know if you mentioned it, but no matter the age, he's old enough to understand wrestling. I would imagine if you brought him, he'll never forget that. You'll never forget that it was Father's Day. It's a heartwarming gesture. Sure. And again, does the press hurt that, you know, hurt Cody? No? I mean he got a whole article off of it, right, So the cynical version of myself wants to say, you know, well, part of it was, you know, you were used by Cody to make him look good in a pressor. But but the majority of me does want to say that that's awesome. And my critiques and others hosts critiques, you know who they are of Cody is not of him as a human being. It's not him as a person outside of wrestling. Okay, it's very simply the baby face version. Again, what you experienced is a real life, emotional positive emotional event that you and your son will never forget. What I'm speaking to is the fantasy land presentation of his good guy character fantasy reality. To see, that's a difference. And again, I just want to make that distinction because I can separate the two. I just critique the hell out of an Anthony DeMarco does two out of his baby face character that I have now officially completely turned on. Okay, it's the baby face fantasy Land projection of his character. Okay, and it is some of the real Cody coming out in his baby face character, probably, But you know that's that's a more of a in depth, complex conversation to have. But I want to make that distinction and just say that's awesome. That's awesome, Dustin. You know that is That's a once in a lifetime deal, no question about it. All right, and welcome to Patreon. Okay, let's let's move on here. And we are now going to get to another patron of the show that's a mister whisper in the wind, and he says, what's good, everybody. I actually wanted to talk about something that has been bothering me, and I think you will agree. As we discussed this before. When can we get retaliation on Rhea before you get your pennies at a bond? Cheer me out. I know it's a new era and things have changed a lot since the nineties, but check out the match of China versus Jeff Jarrett, the Good Housekeeping Match. I remember that. I think Rhea can take a suplex or a bump. It's just it just drive being nuts and I could rant on forever, but I won't check out that match. If China handle all of that, Ria can take a light bump. I mean, look, you're preaching to the choir, my friend. You don't need to trigger me on that. I'll trigger myself on that whole thing. I rant about that or mention it in anger every single week. Every single week, rihas sticking her nose in a you know, a men's match physically with no retaliation. The men will not hit her, even though she has cost them match after match, title after title, Low blows them, spears them, they all, they all sell for her like she's Goldberg. I mean, it's preposterous. I understand she's a she's strong for a woman. She's not strong for a man. Okay, big difference. She should physically dominate most of the women. But men and women are different, okay, And she's a she's a tough cookie. But the fact that we are in the PG era unfortunately puts this veil of invincibility around her because she's a woman. What you're ring too with the China versus Jeff Jarrett Good Housekeeping match, which I do remember fondly. I I recall it's a you're you're in TV fourteen land in a different culture, right, it was a more rebellious time there. Creative envelope had been uh, you know, unleashed. Okay, I believe that was what ninety eight or something like that, maybe ninety nine. That was a hell of a time. Like I mean, you're talking TV fourteen plus almost TVMA at times. So that's the difference. And they were at the time, it's still a private company. They didn't have sponsors or rather shareholders to be beholden too, and Wall Street to be beholden too. And the culture of you know, twenty twenty three is a bit different than the society for better or worse. I'll leave that to your your opinion and your your calculation. But that's that's the reason. Also Cody after payback officially not in the wagon for him. It's like he has this role of a father like we are. Other wrestlers need is approval. Get off your high horse, dude, just turn heel at this point because w E once again has overuse, overused a great product and shoved it down our throats. We get it. Cody, your story is heartwarming and inspiring, but level down and know where you're at. You are not this god like wrestler. Be humble, but don't literally say you're humble. End of rant. I mean again, once again, you're preaching of the choir again. I don't know if this podcast is going to create some kind of grass roofs grassroots movement or are we are we like patient zero? Are we going to be the catalyst for change to move Cody to a heel position. I don't believe we have that kind of stroke, but you never know. You know, this is a great analogy. You bring up a great point. He tries to act like our dad. You know, he speaks down to us almost he doesn't even know he's doing it, but he does have that kind of condescending You need my help and as Anthony DeMarco put it, he has his grubby hands and everything for no reason, making executive decisions about bringing talent to raw, you know, and just that's exactly what he feels like he is. And that's a great analogy. All right, buddy, let's get to let's get to Charlie. Charlie from Milwaukee, and he says, sorry, I wasn't able to reach out last week, but my aunt passed away from a massive stroke. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm imagining that you're being serious, and now my condolences. Anyway, on a better note, I have an extra reason to be happy about going to SmackDown on October twenty seven, the greatest superstar of all time, John C. We'll hopefully we'll be there, hopefully in a match and not looking like pee wee Herman knockoff. With that in mind, the question this week for everyone, what is your favorite John seen a moment? Mine would have to be his rat battle with Big Show, his rat battle with Kurt or when he smacked Stephanie right on the booty. Oh yeah, I remember that. Boy a different He was still the doctor, wasn't he? And Stephanie was still kind of a Stephanie. It was a sex symbol at that point. I mean she was just wearing those super short skirts and push up you know, low cut tank tops. Oh I remember that, and so yeah, that's awesome. You get to see John Cena on his last scheduled SmackDown. That's very cool. Jealous, and what is what's my favorite John seen a moment? As I posed the question all the listeners here, that's that's tough. I mean I was in New York City when he won his first US title against the Big Show. So I remember that fu very well. I remember HBK John Cena WrestleMania twenty four, twenty three, somewhere around there, HBK. John Cena put him on the map. I remember, obviously John Cena rock. This is in no particular order. These are just some of my fondest memories. And also him completely burying Roman Reigns in twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen before No Mercy, that was awesome. Before when Roman Reigns was still the big dog. He completely demolished him on the mic. It was brilliant. So also, Matt, I know you're a giant stone cold fan. If you had to pick your favorite moment, what would it be Mine is the Austin three sixteen promo from King of the Ring ninety six. I was lucky enough to attend with my dad and for Anthony. Since you're such a gigantic fan of the Rock, if you had to pick your favorite moment, what would that be? Mine would have to be hands down WrestleMania eighteen against Hogan, which again my dad and I were able to attend. As always, keep on keeping on and go, pack go, I'm imagine you're saying the packers as NFL starts tomorrow night. So crazy, how quick that happens. And then, by the way, before you turn around, it's week ten. You know that happens every year with the NFL. It's it's it's something. It's it's like we all enter this different time and space. It's week one. You look forward to week one and you blank in. It's week ten and you're like, whoa, We've only got like, what's six six weeks left? Seven weeks left? And then the playoffs, so you know, NFL season flies by, so everyone enjoy it. Now. First of all, let me just say, Charlie, how the hell are you in attendance for all these awesome moments like iconic moments, not just these run of the mill. Oh that was kind of a cool moment. No, no, no, no. The Austin three six promo is one of the most famous promos in the history of professional wrestling, any promotion, any era. And also Hogan Rock in eighteen. I mean, you talk about the crowd having an impact on a match, My god, just brilliant. So you're in Toronto for that one. Now, what's my favorite stone cold moment? Boy? Okay, I'm gonna cop out and do the same thing it did. Was John Cena. Because there's too many to just select one. It's like trying to select my favorite child, you know. But some of the really good ones that come to mind. When he stunned the entire McMahon family on the USA home Coming in two thousand and five, and Lynda McMahon took the worst stunner of all time, that, of course, was trump by Vince McMahon at wrestle Mania thirty eight. Of course, I would say also the zamboni, the when he flipped everyone off and then just jumped off the zamboni and attack Vince. Classic stuff. I would say also when he stunned Stephanie McMahon on the build up to the No A out three Stages of Hell, the Triple H where they couldn't touch each other. That was very memorable. I remember when he stunned Stephanie that I was actually like jumping around my house yelling because Stephanie was such a good heel character and Austin was just, I mean, it was just it was magic. So that that really stands out. So, I mean I could go on, but there's you know that That's that's a heavy question, but a fun one. Thanks Charlie. All right, let's continue with Let's see do I have another? Yeah? I do. Let's get to mister dj Kuzmo. Got to get to our patrons here, and he says, I bet you can't guess what he says. Let's take a guess now, you guys are right Hello, w W and AW podcast World, it's DJ Kuzmo, back at it again on your mailbag show. Here we go. The singles run of both Jimmy and Jay have begun. It's about time that Jay and Jimmy split from each other so they can hopefully go on a mid card singles run to potentially become mid card champions before next year's Rumble. Imagine if you may, that Jimmy becomes new US Champion after he dethrones Ray, and on RAW, Jay becomes the new Intercontinental Champion after he dethrones the longest reigning Intercontinal champion Gunther. But hold up, let's pump the brakes. Jimmy seems like he wants to rejoin what's left of the Bloodline, even though Solo specifically told him, you out the bloodline when we say you out the blood line. Now to Jay, who officially joined Raw this past Monday, but it seems that Drew McIntyre still has some bad blood against Jay since his past battles with Roman and the Bloodline last year. This could probably lead to a Drew heel turn after he finally snaps at Matt Riddle. I couldn't agree more. Every time I turn around, people are coming up with new theories or reasons why Drew should turn heel. There's a million, and all of them beneficial for it, Drew and his character. If WWE is planning a brother versus brother WrestleMania match next year between Jimmy and Jay, I would say the best way to start that feud is that the rumble next year kind of similar to the Matt versus Jeff Hardy feud that led to an extreme rules match at WrestleMania twenty five. I you know, I understand the appeal of that. Oh my god, the USO's first time ever having a match. I don't feel it. I just I don't even I don't like them fighting with one another. It's a it's a match. I don't want. That's me personally. If it happens, it's not gonna be the worst thing in the world. You know, it's going to be a really good match. You know that, you know they'll leae it all in the ring. We know that, we know what kind of performers they are. They are a plus. That's not the issue. The issue is I don't want to see their characters fight. I just don't. I don't have a vested interest in this. I know we're supposed to hate Jimmy, but like I mean, I don't, you know, and Jay has done a lot of bad stuff himself. Like, I just don't. I want to see them as a tag team, you know, or singles and not touching each other like they are now. So I just I don't know, maybe they can change my tune with a nice build, but to me it feels like Matt and Jeff where I just don't feel it. But also not every tag team, by the way that splits needs to have a feud, you know, So there is that, But all right, where am I at? One last thing to mention is that I like the potential of AJ Styles and the OC feuding with what's left of the bloodline. But interesting to see if there will finally be a Roman versus AJ championship match on SmackDown. Sins. Roman hasn't been booked yet to be on the final two pls of the year with fast Lane and Survivor Series. DJ goes the most signing off, and you have major news on the Super Spectacle for India, and we will get to that ver Mahan report stat once we start the voicemails. All right, Yeah, so I mean AJ Styles Roman Reigns sure, bring it on, you know. I mean we've been talking about that for a while. I don't even care. As you said, if it's not on a pay per view, doesn't have to be or a PLI, it can be on SmackDown. I've been just kind of beaten down to submission of like whatever. Put a championship match on SmackDown, Put a championship match on Raw, you know which, of course dilutes the what it means to have a championship match. But it's still a big deal for aj Styles and and might be his biggest match, the biggest match he has in what's left of his career. He has no chance of dethroning Roman, but it's still a fun program and somebody that he knows he can work with, and we'll have a really good match with. So yeah, I could see that happening. But what about Bobby Lashley. He put the WWN notice what last week, and they seem to be a baby face group. I think Bobby Lashley and the Straight Profits could be the ones to step up to the remainder of the Bloodline and Bobby versus Roman. I'm all for that too. All right, let's see, let's get to Let's get to Rebecca. Let's get to Rebecca A And she says, hope you're well, here's my thought for this week. I hope the tag team of Theory and Waller is not a one off. I told my boyfriend that they're a dream team. A month or so ago. It keeps theory from getting stale and Waller gets the rub. I really can't wait to hate these guys. In my view, the only thing that would make this better is if the mids would join the join up and manage them. I would totally watch this. Yeah, that's a hell of a that's a hell of a team. They you know, in our minds and on paper it seems to work. Everything changes, of course when you turn the red light on and actually try to execute. Sometimes there's chemistry, sometimes there's not. But this one I'm willing to explore, because, let's face it, theory needs a lot of help right now. Waller hasn't won a match since he got to the main roster, and the miss after he loses again, excuse me to l a night and he will. He's gonna need something to bring his character back up, and he can be the mouthpiece. But honestly, all three of them are really good at talking, so that would be a fun group. I like that idea. The only downside, if there is one, is that we have a plethora of heel groups right now in w w E. So there is that, all right. Also, what do you think is gonna happen with Chippany Stratton. I think she could be the next Trish, but I don't think she'll wear the wear the T shirt. I don't think she'd be the next Trish, you know, I I don't. I'll be honest. I don't watch a lot of her work, you know, when she came onto the main or appeared on the main roster in the crowd and then confronted Becky Lynch back stage after her match with Trish at Payback. Yeah, I started to look at some of her work. She seems like a very solid wrestler, solid prom Uh. You know, it's hard to say that she'll be the next Anything, you know, to take a quote from Roman Reigns, you know she can be. She doesn't want to be the next Anything. She wants to be the one and only Tippany Stratton. So there is that. But I know what you mean I talking about. You're talking about legacy, what she trail blazed, all that. But the thing, the thing is for the women. The women have pretty much done everything the men have done at this point. Is there anything left that the men have done and accomplished that the women haven't Outside of longevity, of course, of like number of times something's happened. But they've had Helen a cell, They've done royal rumbles multiple they've done money in the bank ladder matches for specifically the women. The women have made evented rows and smackdowns and WrestleMania, Like what have the women not done? And I don't want to hear well, they need to introduce a new title. No no no no no no no no no. That that's superficial stuff. Okay, that can be done at any time, and actually I would advise against it. But I know I'm going completely answering your question and answering a question I invented. But circling back Tiffany Stratton. What's going to happen with her? I think right now, Becky Lynch. You know, at first glance, I want to say that Tiffany Stratton's gonna beat Becky and Becky's gonna go back to the main roster. But I think Becky could live at NXT for a couple of months and after Ria Ripley goes through her next set of opponent or opponents, that's when Becky shows up and confronts Ria Ripley. Maybe maybe he's early a Survivor series, but they could be saving it for later in the year in December, or more likely at the Rumble. And then, of course you're talking WrestleMania, so it's gonna be interesting to see. Does Becky actually dethroned Tiffany or does Tiffany beat Becky and then Becky just kind of hangs around to try to get revenge and then once she, you know, she gets a couple of shots and wins a match, she goes back to the main roster. I don't know, but I really don't. I hate to kind of cop out, but that's those are my thoughts on possibilities. MANX Dream Team Tag Team or MENX Dream Tag Team rather is Zoe and Shana. I think when Shana gave Zoe the respect of saying she gave her a better fight than Rhonda ever did is a good foreshadowing of things to come. I don't think they'll feel baby they don't. I don't think they'll feel baby face. But they'd make an interesting heel team, oh, no question. I mean you would imagine that with Zoe retaliating against Trish at Payback, that it instantly turned her baby face. But the actions that occurred on Raw would suggest the opposite teaming with Shana. You know, so they split her from Trish, but then immediately kind of after like just a momentary baby face turn, they went right back to Shana. So Shana and Uh and Zoe. Yeah, and you know what, they could win the tag titles. Not that I want them too, because those damn things are cursed. I mean, they just are. So I wish I wish they weren't so, and I wish that the tag titles meant more, because these two could go on a hell of a run if the tag team division in the Women's Tide meant anything, you know. All right, well, Rebecca, thanks so much. All right, let's talk. Oh boy, I got some people y'all at me here. Let's talk to bad Fish. I think I know where we're going here. It's bad Fish. I remembered to put the name in this time. I'm a rapper from Canada and that's my handle. Okay, if anyone is interested, please hit me up on Instagram. Anyway, you asked how Canadians feel about Sammy and Ko wearing the Penguins jerseys. Just clearing it up. I know I don't speak for all of Canada, but the players they were wearing are Canadian. Oh so they were killing two birds with one stone, pandering to the Pittsburgh crowd and Canada. Well, that would be like what if they wore a Montreal Canadians jersey for two guys that are actually Americans? Does that exist? By the way, I don't know, But would the would Montreal boo them or cheer them? More than likely they would still cheer for them. And even if they made the comparison of oh, they're they're you know, they're Americans, they would just say they would just be like, well, no, I don't even really care. They are still fighting for my team and in my city or in this case, my province. So I know what you're saying, and that is the tie the I guess the out for Kevin and Sammy. But it's all about the team, not about the individual and where they're from. I know. Again, they tried to soften the blow and soften the betrayal. I get it, but that would be like saying, you know, on any football team or any baseball team, well you know, uh, you know, so and so was actually from Boston, but they're on the New York Yankees. Now, so we're going to cheer them because they're from Boston, but boo them when they're a Yankee. It doesn't make sense, you see what I'm saying. Look, you cheer for the team over everything that supersedes where the person's from, because if they perform for your team, you're happy. All right, I'm going deep into sports here. Let's move on. But I totally get it, and thank you for clarifying. My question is who do you think Jimmy and Jay were gonna are going to feud with? I love that they're on separate shows and the Bloodline is getting a much needed breather digging it anyways, digging into the show and keep up the great work. Thank you, buddy. And who is Jimmy gonna feud with? You know, I don't know. He's trying to right now work his way back into the blood Line. I think that's where he's going short term and as far as Jay goes, you know, I think right now, Jay Usso is probably working with Grayson Waller in the short term, and of course he's gonna beat him because Grayson Waller doesn't win a match ever, So there is that, and then a long term you could speculate on you know, seth Rawlins or you know Cody Rhodes or Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. How about that? All right, let's keep it going here and let's talk to somebody that is not bad fish. That's King Scully. He's in the house and he says, hey, yo, he's King Scully in the house. He's representing the UK all day. Listen here, Matthew oh, using my full name Phil, like I'm in trouble, I can assure you that I King Scully. I'm not bad fish. I'm bad I'm the baddest mofo on the planet. But I'm not a fish. Oh my god, I love it, all right. I mean, I'm I'll happily batter any man that steps to me like a fish. But I am not a fish. I'm not a cod, I'm not a tune. I'm not a freaking mackerel. So for the last time, I'm not bad fish. But wait, King Skelly, are you really bad fish? I think you're really bad fish in disguise, I'm poking the bear. All right, funny, little fun little promo here. All right, let's go anyways, let's talk about Cody Rhodes taking notice. It isn't difficult to open with something more simple, and I agree with you and Anthony Cody drives me insane, but let's stay off him because otherwise we'll go into a rant. Good call, Deep Breaths Payback was great. Apart from the Grays and Waller effect. I thought John c did a great job as a ref. His counts were decent. Refs could learn from him. Agreed on pacing of the count The pacing of the one, two, three is not three seconds, It's like two, So I totally agree. La Night versus The miss was very back and forth, very technical, and in the end the right guy won. Unfortunately, the right guy didn't win. In the main event, Shinskinnakamura, great promos leading into the match, great match and all love the anime video and the stomp out of where was a nice Finnish finish. Shinsky's eyes rolling in the back of his head sold it like a champ. I agree, as you can see. I've always been a fan of him. There's something about his character and the way he portrays his emotions. I've always liked. It was odd how the pay per view suddenly ended and we didn't get the post match attack weird. Yeah, I thought the same thing. I'm glad you brought that up. You know, the pay per view did end where you peely where you just thought, all right, something's gonna happen. There's you know, two three minutes left and nope, it wasn't. And then they just recapped. They had that like instant recap video produced by their production department, which is god. They just I don't know how they do it. They have superhumans that work in the video production department at w W. My god, they're insane. But yeah, I'm with you on that. It was kind of an awkward ending, at least from the perspective of like, Okay, what's gonna happen here? Nothing, that's the answer, all right? Where am I at here? So oh all rise for the judgment day. What a match. That street fight was my favorite match of the night. It was like going back to the Attitude era. It was like when the Hardies fought the Dudley's inn E and c Dirty dam is the Man. I disagree with your take on the re Ripley's spear though, I mean, she just came from nowhere and Owens had just got up and he went through the barriers, so I thought it was realistic enough. He was battered, bloodied and did a swanton through the table, so I didn't mind the spot. It made sense to me. It wasn't like he was one hundred percent. Well, here's the thing. I probably wouldn't have had such an issue with it if it wasn't this constant narrative that she can't be touched. No one can retaliate if if WW ever gets to a place where they decide, you know what, I don't care what what sex you are. You know, everyone has the rights to self defense and you can't just hide behind you know, your your sex if you attack somebody, everyone's protected equally here under the law in real life, and it should be the same thing whatever. But they will never do this because of the society we live in. Oh it's TVPG sponsors will get mad at us. You know, we don't want the perception of promoting, you know, domestic violence, even though there's actually a lot of unreported female and male violence in relationships. It's not dominant, but there's a significant more than people think. My point is that that's where that's how deep you have to go. As the reasoning why they don't allow Ria to be retaliated against, and it's I don't think I'd have such an issue with it if they weren't putting her behind this shield of being a woman that it's just it's just another another thing, another time that she interferes, and you know, no one's gonna be able to touch her. It's ridiculous. Anyway, It's great to see the Judgment Day with all the titles. Shirley JD or PJ whatever has earned the spot in the Judgment Day Before I get there, you know, you can't tell me people wouldn't pop if if Kevin Owens had a stunner on an Rhya, people would lose their minds. But also, yes, it's PJ. Right, guys, PJ McDonough, did I get it right? I'm gonna piss off some of you. I haven't watched All A Ray yet, so I'm not sure entirely what happens with that. Thanks for keeping me entertained with the our shows and look forward to joining them myself. King Scully, well, thank you bad fish, I mean King Scully. I am poking the bear. Thank you for the email. Oh okay, let's get to let's get to Freeman, and Freeman says, so, let's get it out of the way. Payback was great. Let's be honest. There wasn't a single bad match, and two matches that could be argued were the best of the year. That's not what I want to talk about. What do I want to talk about. I completely agree with you about Cody Rhodes. The thing he reminds me of is the old trope where the obvious corrupt politician would kiss babies to seem like a person. Everything he does just seems ungenuine and like a false facade. This corrupt politician thing I've built in my head rang even more true with him. Quote pulling strings to bring Jada raw You know what, Freeman, I like that even more than the father analogy, which was really good. He is exactly maybe that, Freeman. I think you hit it on the head, and I can't believe I didn't think of it before myself. So thank you for this. This is a guys. Let me let me just Freeman just hit on something really big here, because in a world where politics, unfortunately are interwoven with daily life, whether you like it or not, that is exactly what the problem is with Cody, and I'm sure he doesn't mean to come off like this, but he does. He is a politician that you know is corrupt, but puts a smile on his face and kiss his babies and does all these things. But his vobee not saying the real person. Okay, not the real person again. The distinction is real person versus character, and I'm talking about his character, his baby face character, with the stupid smile, the bleach bond hair, the suits. It is the definition of corrupt politician. It's exactly what he is. I love that. I'm gonna pretend I came up with it for my future shows, so I'm gonna take complete credit. And now I'm kidding, but I really will bring this up money more times. It's a perfect analogy. Thank you. Speaking of Jay and Raw and you're raw talk, you missed the hint of dirty Dom turning baby face. This came when he offered Jay a spot in the Judgment Day. He made a lot of good points, but he talked about the parallels between their characters. Jay was brainwashed by the bloodline, just like Dom's brainwashed by the Judgment Day. And I can see her see a story forming where Jay turns his attention to Dom to bring him out of the Judgment Day, realizing they're in the same position and Dom needs to help turn himself around. I don't imagine this would be an overnight thing, as turning down Baby Face will take a lot of work. But if anyone can put Dom over with the crowd, it's Jay. This theory makes more sense when they are teasing the collapse of the Judgment Day, although this seems to be put on hold for now, if your theory regarding money the bank briefcase is true, then that will be the major cause for division within the faction. Yeah. First of all, Yeah, I don't talk about every nook and cranny, and this also was not included on Hulu. So sometimes I don't watch the things that don't happen on Hulu. I don't watch every little thing that doesn't happen on Hulu. This was one of those segments that was negated. I had to read about this. I just didn't bring it up. It's difficult to talk about every little looking cranny of a three hour show in a forty five minute podcast. But I'm glad you brought this up. So based on what you're talking about here. Yeah, that was a hint of it. But here's the thing. You alluded to this being a lot of work. It would be, and why would we want to though? Here's that's the other question is Okay, it's a lot of work, and not that something being a lot of work is not going to be worth it. But why are you doing it? What's the payoff? I have to say this is not something I would be interested in right now, at least for the next year. We can talk about this again in a year, you know, we will revisit. The reason is, why would we want to turn a guy that's getting historic heat from the crowd and try to turn him into something that he may not be able to reciprocate in the same passionate way from fans. In other words, it may take a lot of work and the fans may eventually get to a place where they kind of accept him. But would you rather have that or this dude that elicits insane heat, that could help get over baby faces. That is the perfect straw to stir the drink in the judgment day. I wouldn't touch Tom dom is one of the best heals WWB has right now, you know, He certainly needs work in certain areas, but he has got something special going. That reaction that Dom gets is unusual. It is not normal for a heel to get booed to the point where the crowd doesn't even want to hear what he says every week. So I wouldn't touch this. I don't care if it was a tease. I don't know if it was designed to be, but if it is, stay away from the baby face thing. For me, it's not worth it until you have explored all options and exhausted all the benefits of Dom being this megahel which is very rare to get this type of passionate hate. I wouldn't go anywhere near the baby face Dom nowhere near it. Okay. With a recent tease of the Judgment Day talking about the bloodline, it makes sense that they are setting some kind of story between them, and I can only believe this was the whole reason to bring Jay to Rob Well, let's not forget. They also stated that someone from Raw Should Be would be moving to SmackDown Oh they did? Oh okay, I miss that? Thank you again, Thank you Freeman. Who do you think the biggest contender is for that? My top pick is the miss. That way, they can have La Night Miss Rivalry purely on SmackDown and keep the brand split intact, although brand rules aren't a high priority for them. So my second pick would be Gunther. Roman needs a real challenge for the belt and moving Gunther to SmackDown would provide that. And third would be Cody Rhodes for the exact same reason, although I really don't want him getting more attention. It's all just wandered on your thoughts. Yeah, that's some m I miss that, So I'll take that at face value that they're going to do a reciprocal trade to SmackDown. If that's the case, Cody Rhodes could in order to get to the Roman and Cody part two where Cody finishes the story. Then again, I don't want to see, but Gunther would make sense. But first of all, he was just on SmackDown before the trade. He has a great identity and he's like one of the foundational pillars of Raw. And you'd also have to move the then US champion to Raw. You know that, you'd have to make an additional move to make up for that move, and then it becomes like, you know, another domino effect so I would not do Gunther. I'd leave him alone. He's found a very nice home on Raw again. Jay coming to Raw, you could have Miss? Yeah, sure, I honestly don't care what them Is does. I'm not. I don't hate them Is as a I respect his promobility. I just you know, after twenty years of them is well, he's been since oh four, mister hohor Raw coming from real world. He I still can't take him, Seriously, I can't. The Miss has been there for twenty years and he's still the butt of every joke. He loses in nearly every program he's in. He hosts a talk show that no one wants to see anymore. Yeah, there's just I really don't care what the Miss does, honestly, So sure bring him over to SmackDown. All right, let's go here. So thank you Freeman. Good stuff. I'll be stealing a lot of your material. All right, where we're going, Where we're going. Oh, this is from Nick. He missed last week's mailbag, So let's just I'll read it this week because you just missed the cut off last week. But Nick says, Nick w says, I missed the deadline. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I was feeling enough to lay out a good email. Well let's do it. I'm someone who never got the chance to see Bray or Terry Funk wrestle, but I tended the SmackDown show in Louisville with my mom, her first show, and we fell in love with the w universe. For both of them, the tribute show was touching to us both. As I'm catching up in WWE history, what are the key matches or moments to watch to get a sense of who these wrestlers were in your opinion? Oh wow, okay, So for Bray Wyatt, I would say, I mean Firefly Fun Out really like the beginning of the Firefly Fun House that's later the scent the second half of his career. I would watch that, But the introduction of the Wyatt family and the promos that Bray would cut with the light bulb above his head that seemed like they happened on a weekly basis really give you introspective into who he was as a character. As far as matches go, I mean he had a match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania thirty one. I think it was. It wasn't the greatest match in the world, but it was a fantasy match at the time, and I believe who's actually working with a bad ankle. I think that match almost didn't happen. Bray Wyatt had a couple of crazy matches during the Pandemic era. He had a swamp match I think it was with bron Strohman for the Universal title, and he had a firefly fun house match with John Cena during the Pandemic. If you want an acid trip, but you also enjoy breaking down what every part of that quote unquote, and I say match very loosely means that is a great place to go to. So I mean, or you could just take the easy way and YouTube it and go best moments of bray Watt's career. I'm sure there's a ton of videos out there. As far as Terry Funk goes. To be totally fair, I am. I was kind of after Terry Funk had wrapped up his career. He was at the very very tail end of his career. He was actually coming in his chain. I saw Charlie to fight with mcfoley Cactus Jack, and I googled. I'm going literally on Google on this because it's way better of a resource for Terry Funk, again, considering he was just before my time. Here are some suggestions for Terry Funk. I'll give you a three or four. The w c W Slamboree nineteen ninety four, showing out with Tully Blanchard, ec W Barely Legal nineteen ninety seven, May five, nineteen ninety three, Funken Oneida or Oneita, blow up the world, and let's give you one more. Another suggestion is the two thousand and six ECW One night Stand. I don't remember Terry Funk of that, but apparently he had a one night one night stand literally in ECW in two thousand and six. Very memorable pay per view for other reasons too. So there you go, There you go, all right? Anyway, the quality of wrestling in the hype from the crowd on SmackDown left a lot to be desired. I can confirm the crowd was as dead as it came across on TV during EO's title defense and that underwhelming tag team match. Hopefully, my experience with WrestleMania snacks some tickets. Oh man, that's not fair. It's a lot better, I think if you're shelling out the money to go to WrestleMania. You're gonna be cheering your head off. I know I will be. Yeah. I mean, you've got to get your money's worth, right. I need, or rather, I know, we need to give grace to SmackDown as the superstars and crowd, we're all in their feelings, so don't want to crap on it too hard. Just wasn't the same as the hype I hype levels I had seen from recent smackdowns. Well, I mean, what do you expect. You know, everybody just suddenly lost a young, well liked family man that you know, had so how many different people in his life and impacts on different people, And what do you expect? I mean, I think they did as good as they could possibly do to put on a show. So all right, Nick, thank you. We're almost done with the email. Guys. I think we've got one more. Chandler says, let me talk to you sending this in while working, so let's pray don't get fired. Yeah, guys, gotta be careful of that. I know a lot of you listen while you're working, and maybe some of your work places don't care if you have headphones in, So that's good, But why would Cody want to bring Jay into money at Raw in a kfab sense. You shouldn't want more competition for the top title. Isn't that what everyone's there for? Jay is one of the reasons that Cody didn't win the championship at Mania. Cody, please stop trying so hard. Well, to paraphrase from the previous email or Freeman, he's a politician. He's coming across as a politicians. It's a bad look, but people continue to cheer for him because he's got cool music and a great entrance. I like the detail that nobody forgot about what Jay has done except for Cody. I agree. Why is Ricochet telling Rollins he doesn't have to compete and he loved his match? It makes him look like a mark Yeah, I agree this is and I mentioned this on my Raw review. There was a lot of progression that Ricochet's character did during the logan Paul build a lot of nice progression, the crowd was really behind him, and then he resorts right back to this fun loving kind of fanboy backstage that cany do cool moves in the ring. I mean that he completely retrograded back. That is not the best version of Ricochet. Mister moral compass. All right, the story that j D I think you mean PJ, I'm gonna somebody's gonna blow a gasket, I think if I say PJ one more time. But the story that JD trick Damien out of the contract is very elaborate. I think it's very good, but I don't think it's what WW is going for. And considering that nobody in the writer's room has critical thinking skills, I don't think they even considered that. Oh Burn, Yeah, again, I'm not saying I wouldn't bet that that's the case. But given the fact that we're supposed to believe the contract is in the briefcase, now he has a new briefcase, and when he cashes it in, if it's empty, maybe the title when that he has is void because he didn't cash in properly. You know that's it's just a theory. So all right, with it being the first weekend of college football Saturday, I cracked open some cold ones this week, and I didn't watch Payback that closely, I'd like to pitch an idea for the after Dark show, how college is a scam? There you go, h This is for Anthony DeMarco because he will be doing the After Dark show now starting next Friday. Okay, so here you go, Anthony. How college is a scam? I genuinely, genuinely believe there's no point in college being four years. You don't learn anything relating to your major until the last two. And if someone goes for something like biology or physics, why are they sending in classes about English and history? It is ridiculous. That's it for this week. Yeah, But the thing is you're sold that college is just what you do, but it is generally I'm with you, it is a big scam. And how do I know this too? How what's my evidence to support this? Well? How many people just in your life do you know? Or maybe it's you yourself, where you have a degree in something and a job in something completely different? Am I wrong? Very few people have a degree and also are in a job that represents the degree that they got. It may kind of tangibly, you know, outskirt on the outskirts of relative. What's the word I'm looking for of relatability to the degree? You could con and twist it in, But how many things do you learn in college? Were sitting in a classroom doing reports that you can actually say, man, thank god I took that class, or I wouldn't be good at this job. No, most of the time you learn on the job, that is. And you also don't have a mountain of debt coming out or starting your life off. Like most of us took out tens of thousands, if not over one hundred thousand dollars in student loans at the age of eighteen nineteen, twenty twenty one. And sure there were great party years were sold on the party aspect of college, and those are very influential years. Don't get me wrong, I did a lot of crazy stuff in that time. No. I mean, like a lot of us have stuff that we just want to lock away the rest of our lives and never speak of again that we did between eighteen and twenty one, let's be real, or eighteen and twenty two, whatever the case. But outside of the partying, you're still left with this hundred thousand dollars in debt. You start off your life, you haven't even got a job yet, and you have a mortgage, and then you can't find a job that can help you pay that off and a reasonable amount of time. It is a scam. It is now I'm not saying that every degree is a scam. Of course, you need specialties to become a doctor, right, Surgeons. There are certain professions that I understand you need degrees in and there is some value. But the majority of us going into the jobs that we have, most of us, the degrees we get are not super helpful. When we get to the actual job and start doing the work. You learn ninety five percent of what you need. When you're actually doing the job you need you want to do. Am I wrong? So there there's my quick take on it, and he I'll let you take the rest. Good stuff, all right, didn't think I'll be talking about that tonight. All right, let's get to the voicemail portion of the show. Let's go, Hello, duntry podcast world. This is DJ Kuzma, back at it again on your Mailmax show record to you like hund on Wednesday morning. He before we get to the Vier Mah Report, Before we get to the beer Mah Report, I gotta give a shout out to everybody that was down in the discord chat. All of the new patrons, we welcome you to the ww ON Official podcast family, and for all of the regulars. It was another awesome pl e dis past Saturday for w W Payback. They over delivered once again, So shout out to everybody that had a great time as we had our we made our predictions, reactions, and of course we cracked a lot of jokes with a lot of those gifts and a lot of those puttons and all of the good stuff that we enjoyed while watching Payback last week's Saturday. Now let's get to your favorite Shawna coming every single week on the mail Man, the Beer, the er Maha Report, now the verer Maha Report. It's taking place this coming Friday, This coming Friday, we have none of the Then, my guys, they in the shar I'm fear mahad, I'm sugger. They're gonna be in a tag team match. But wait a minute, I must address the elephant in the room, the big elephant in the room, and that is no longer Kevin Owens and Sammy's eight no no longer the tag Team Champions. I'm a little bit ticked off that they made this title change, right, I had of the Superstar Spectacle because they were booking it for three weeks. That my guys, they're in the shar We're gonna be going up against the Tag Team Champions, but they're no longer the tag Team Champions of Kevin Owens and Sammy's Ag. We have now Finnbala and Damian Priests. I'm a little bit ticked off that day. In this year, I'm not going up against the new tag team champions. We could have had a triple threat for the undisputed Tag Team Champions at Superstar Spectacle, but hey, this need Harold Dear, I'm gonna enjoy. I'm not gonna get a chance to watch it because it's not gonna be live, but I'm gonna get a chance to see my guys, most likely on the highlights, going up against Kevin Owens and Sammy's Aid in this UH made event this coming Friday, September eight, so First Star Spectacle down in hyper Bad India, and of course breaking news, John Cita and none of the dead seth Rawlins will be in a tag team match against Ludwick guys, Sir and none of the Dan Giovan Evinci and another tag team match, and there should be some awesome matches going on this coming Friday, and of course my guys the in this Sir, we'll be going up against the no tag team titles of Kevin Owens and Sammy's aid like always, this is your guy, DJ Ko's we'll have a blessed week. Me guys, one of the staysa my friend peace. Hey DJ Yeah, I was looking up the card as you were talking, just to confirm, you know what the indusry are actually doing it the Superstar Spectacle and the mat it's just still the same but as you said, no titles, which tells me that they have an agenda of putting all the gold or as much gold as they can on Judgment Ay and it's a great heel move. It generates more heat for the group. But also it tells me that they probably had plans to have the industry beat Kevin and Sammy, but they didn't want to put the titles on the industry yet. So I would imagine that this coming Saturday that in the Superstar Spectacle there's the Industry are still going to beat Kevin and Sammy, but there's no harm, no foul because titles aren't on the line anymore. So, but it is It is very unusual for WW to advertise something and then then then when it comes to delivering what the what's on the card. They reduce the match in value. Very rare do they do that, you know, where they advertise something, especially for multiple weeks, and then they still have the match, but now the titles aren't on the line, so it doesn't feel as important. That that's not something that's normal for w W. There must be some some internal discussions about, you know, what the future plans are for Kevin and Sammy and the Indus Sheer. They don't want them the titles yet, all this and that, but uh so they're probably gonna still give the indusrar the win given there in India and they didn't want to put the titles on them yet. I would imagine that's where they're going and the reasons why. But I agree it is. It is a bit frustrating, but also something very unusual for w W. Usually, if they cancel something, they will up the enny or they'll put it again on at another at another time, and this is just something happened. But all right, thanks DJ, and yes, Discord chat, I looked at some of it. You guys are hilarious. All right. Next one, Hey, Matt, it's Brandon Florida. Matt, I totally agree with you on the John Cena thing, like hearing him come out and say like things that peak behind the curtain type of things like you got questions, Well tonight on SmackDown, we're gonna give you answers like that to me, like I want things to be a surprise. I don't want it to seem scripted. I don't like that, like when John Cina said, you know, we're whatever I'm scheduled to do tonight or scheduled to do in this run, We're gonna see whatever, Like it just makes it feel like non organic and like it's a show rather than our television show that's scripted rather than something where something can happen at any time. And I'm not a big fan of that. I just think, you know, again with the Bloodline thing, where he said, you know, we're gonna give you answers to the Bloodline thing tonight, like it was just like, why is it's so predetermined We're guaranteed to get answers tonight, And you know, honestly, I'm happy he's back and we'll see what he does, but it's not to me something that I think is the greatest thing I've ever seen payback I thought was really good. I thought Grayson's segment was awesome. I'm really excited to see what they do with Jay on RAW. Like obviously, you know, not only did RAW get j back to be in the main event scene or not back, but get Jay there to be in the main event scene, but they also now have gotten two singles wrestlers back in Sammy and Ko that were previously together. So I think it's almost like Raw added three solo main event or singles competitors buy them losing the tag team championships. So I thought that was you know, I think RAW is going to be in a better position because of it. I still wish it was two hours not three, but whatever. And one other thing I was thinking is that, boy, it must be a pain in the ass for Ja Damian Priest to carry around the briefcase and two belts. How annoying must that be have to carry that to the ring every single time? Just something I was thinking about. But yeah, man, thank you very much and always enjoy listen to you, Brad, good to hear me, you hear you man, it's been a while. Yeah, that's a good point too. These are the things I think about subconsciously, but I don't actually vocalize on my show, and I'm glad you guys bring it out of the recesses of my brain about this logistics of those belts. I mean, I'm sure Kevin and Samue are like, whoo, well, we had a good run. It's fun, you know, but it was cool to when it Mania and all that. The story was great, But man, I'm tired of carrying these damn belts around. Why do I carry two? They they manifested the single championship for the unit, for any every other unified championship, they created an appropriate physical, single physical belt. I don't know why they didn't get around the tag belt. It makes no sense. But Damien Priests must be like carrying an extra like sixty pounds of weight to the ring every single time he's you know, walking out there. Uh he must just yeah, I mean that those are the things that, you know, most people don't think about. But it's funny. Now Kevin and Sammy, as far as they single stars, I don't think they are yet. Now again, they have a tag team match with the End to Shear this coming Saturday at Superstar Spectacle, So there is that, And then beyond that, I'm sure they'll get their their obligatory rematch with Finn and Damien for the tag titles, which of course they won't win back likely, So I think in the short term there's still a tag team, but eventually sure, I'm cool with them splitting up and and doing their own things. But I don't want them to feud here. That's that's the thing. I think a lot of us don't want. As good as we remember their matches and they have good chemistry and all that, I think we're beyond wanting to see Kevin and Sammy fight. We just we don't want it. So I don't want that they can split peacefully and civilly and go their own roads and pass so And as far as yeah, John Cena being mister meta, mister breaking the fourth wall to be some kind of above the product edgy character, Like dude, you I mean, I don't know if it's John producing this, or if it's some somebody in creative doing this or a collaborative effort. Stop with that, you know what I mean? Like, we know we're watching a show. I don't want to have you tell me as part of the show that I'm watching a show. It's ridiculous. And John Cena also is on top of it, awful, awful at comedy, I mean putred at comedy. So there's that. You know, he's coming out there like narrating the show, like he's reading from a piece of paper, Like he's like reading a piece of paper, yet it's him on a microphone, and you're like, that's not how normal people speak. Just come out here and cut a promo. It's like every single time, and I keep hammering this home, but it continues to take away from Raw, no matter who comes out first, whoever it is, including Jayuso who said it was just a dream of his or something this week to say welcome to Monday Night Raw. Why is this some kind of company quota does everyone need? Why do I need to be reminded what show I'm watching? I know it's a small thing, but it happens every effing week no matter who comes out first. The announcers can do that. I don't care if the announced Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Byron Saxon, or he's not in commentary anymore, but Kevin Patrick. I don't care. They can welcome us to RAW. They're the announcers they should welcome the audience at home to RAW. But I don't need to hear it from you, every single person that comes out every single week to welcome us to raw. That it's a small thing, but it had up because it takes away from, as you said, the ideal environment of anything could happen because you know at the beginning of RAW exactly what that person is going to say right off the top. I don't want to feel that way. And it feels so corporate, doesn't it. Oh, it's a small thing when you're making the mountain out of a mole hill. No, it happens all the time. It takes me out of the moment, and it pisses me off every single time I hear it, because you know, they're just like meeting some kind of requirement by management that they have to say. That is, if we don't know what the hell's show we're watching? Does every single show that airs episodic TV show reminds you what show you're watching? Are Are the people that bought tickets clueless as to what show they're watching or what show they you know that they use their money to go to. Are the people at home going Huh what show is this? Oh? Thank god they told me. I thought it was a Star Trek. It's moneyed at raw who think? God? They let me know. No, still stop it. You get me fired up, Brad. All right, let's get to our next one. It's Kyles for Baltimore. So I wanted to talk about, you know, payback overall if that was a good show. For the most part, it was a team match show for me. I enjoyed the Still Cage matches was surprising. Well not really because I kind of I thought out to their next denied champions match and it was a good match. I hate that Chrish was dominant in that match. That champions stop Black this time. This match at that still Cage match was good at blackbacky one. But and also the tag team kind of match up the prize and that kids would day one. And I'm happy for Finn Bawlece. I only be holding a championship in the main ros or so I'm happy about that. But all right, question it's about you know, it's that question about Becky pot actually faces Pippany striving for the next tea in the Championship at No Mercy. At the end of the month. I don't want to see it. I think it's a next I think it's putting east Becky to be Atteo the champion. I understand that she's never been champion before and but you know she but it's I think it's a step down. Honestly, she's you know, for her to make a bet resumell to win both the rod snack that with mischev sits in the main a better WrestleMania to go on to be EDXC when the champ being now in her career that she's already a tough star. It's kind of the need for her to be EDXC with a champion. I don't want to see it. Ar Rippley A deculents need to face each other. There's really no incredible for either woman on law. Look at the roster right now, that's it could be credible. I guess maybe shanea like I had to build her up to make her feel it justin like that Shana. But I you know they try for Kell, but for Kell need to be more serious. But you know, the point is there's no one else credible for Ria Ripley or Becky Lynch beyond each other. So I think they just have to have to have them face each other right away. I don't think they can hold off either that I only have to bring up more women because this idea of Decky one going down to XC a base fifty straight is dys laughable. Is the seth of I was, and I'll love her again at it. I hate it like it then for Seth, I don't like it now for becky'll be worse if she lose what she might and I don't want to see it. She shouldn't be losing. So that's my quick thoughts in that overall again payback as five. The semetio for me with the tag team match and the the Ocade match were the highlights for me for an paidback, but overall built my thoughts a guy like Glad that dollar prest archy on me in the tree what they're going to do. But that's a deferent call by Hey Kyle. So I hear your frustration about Becky going to n XT. It feels like it's beneath her. And I get that. You have Becky Lynch who's main event at WrestleMania and she goes to NXT. But here's the thing. N XT is for all intentto purposes an in house breeding ground for the stars of tomorrow. Right, we get that, but also isn't it kind of out of respect for the brand that they return, give back to the brand that gave to them, and also go to NXT to help build younger talent. I mean, the whole business is about building stars. That's it. That's it. I mean it boils down that simply, and having Becky go back, sure, from a character perspective, it feels beneath her, but from a real life perspective, it's giving back to NXT. It doesn't always need to be a one way street of everything flowing from NXT up to the brand. We've seen Finn Balor go back and do wonders and come back to the main roster revived. We've seen Charlotte Flair in twenty twenty at WrestleMania thirty six, the Silent WrestleMania. If you want to go back to that nightmare during the pandemic, beat Riha Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania thirty six, a year after she made event at WrestleMania thirty five with Ronda and Becky. So I hear you. It feels like Becky would be facing Ria. Absolutely, but I think that if you don't have if you don't have a big time talent to work with Ria, put her against some of the up and coming. Raquel is a nice fit for now, although she has no chance. I think she could go one more event and they have this. I would imagine their final championship match this Monday is coming Monday. But then she needs to move on to help build new talent. She can't be just constantly working with the men. So that's how I feel. So all right, next voicemail a couple more. I like the French guy here, your current European champion. So this week I will be talking about Raw. What a show? What a show? I mean, I clearly have the feeling that rioting is a little bit different from last month, last month, last previous month. I really, I really does, I really do. I really think that writing is difference, that maybe some writers are different, because every storyline is somehow compelling. This week on Raw, the rawlins the classic Rawlins versus Shinsky. Nakamura is really interesting. Nakamura. It's so crazy that this now we all, I do we all see Nakamura at a clear cut heel, a credible heel, where some years ago you could see it as a mid carter. Even as a mid carter it wasn't interesting. Uh yeah, like same turned to the same and the Judgment Day stuff against Semi Dame and Jennie mcdonnaugh. This is really also compelling. Jadie mcdonna wanting to help the Judgment Day really really remind me. Reminds me of Sammy Dane wanting to help the Bloodline and joining the Bloodline and everything. It would be very interesting because I really know, I'm one hundred percent sure that no, that's maybe they can make a something like they can Sammy Dane can say that all right, James McDonough I've been to the situation, to your situation. I know what it's like to be wanting to join the group. Very good storyline, very good stuff. That's just it for me this week, you Alex. Good analogy with Sammy and Bloodline and j D and the Judgment Day. The only difference between that though, is that Sammy was an established endearing character before he joined the Bloodline JD. For most of the audience, most that don't watch on XT because they don't. They don't know who the hell JD mcdonnah is. They just know he's this kind of like squirrely little sidekick of Finn, and that's the only thing they really know about him is he's an Irish dude. He's friends with Finn, and he's tiny, and he's good in the ring. That's it. As with Sammy's Aine, he had a body of work that the fans loved and the fans a lot of fans felt he was underutilized. JD's an unknown entity to the most of the fans, so that's the difference. I don't think it's gonna end up turning JD super baby face, even if the Judgment Day does eventually turn on him and then Finn is forced to choose between j D being beat down and you know, joining in or turning on the Judgment Day to to you know, stand up for his twenty year friend. I think eventually Finn and j D will be ousted, and as the baby face is so sure he could be a baby face with Finn balor moving forward after the Judgment Day turn on him, but that's not going to happen until the tag team titles are lost in the judgment, they started to collapse a bit and then you can start to look for that. But I don't think it's the same kind of love for JD that it is for Sammy, but I understand the dynamic. It's a good analogy. So thanks so much, buddy. And final voicemail, You're ready, let's do it, Jamett. This is Brandy Fremily Dot Sure if this is too late to make the mail bag this week, but just wanted to throw out a couple of things I want to question when kind of a an observation. First, first the question, I want to see what do you think about the job that Semantha Urban is doing as ring announcer. She's just just outside the box, you know, with the way that she announces people. And I gotta say, I love it, just those little things when she's announcing wrestlers, like the Chelsea Green or the food is because there, you know, just just that little bit of animation. I just I love it. Just want to see if you like that or if you know if you prefer Sho announced all the wrestlers to say, but just want to get your thoughts on the job that she's doing. And the second thing was I listened to your Raw Raw review and you didn't bring up something, or at least I didn't think that. I don't think I've heard you bring it up. And it was Macamurra turning down the opportunity multiple times to have a match with Rawlins for the title. And and I know almost like they're trying to get this to pay back. But just when it comes to logic, think about it, Doctor's advising Rawlins not to fight Rowlins still wants to fight. Rawlins, is offering you a title match. Rolins practically thank you you to fight them, and you just keep turning it down. Here then the Makamurray, let's fight title on the line. No, Macomber, come out, let's fight. I want to fight you. Title on the line. No, but but but but you know what, later on the night, I'll fight Ripoche for nothing, nothing's on the line. That's like we offered a million dollars and then you settle for like ten dollars, you fund it later on. It just doesn't make sense. But you know, like I said, part of I know where they're trying to go with this, so makes sense there, but a lot of logical standpoint just it didn't make sense. You just want to get your thoughts on that rawlins to Ripoche huge step down title match to just even if it had to do with him and this edgy character. Just it's a title bitch, Come on, just say yes, all right, have a good week, and Randy, you just made the cut off my friend. So good stuff, You're good stuff. Let me talk about Samantha Irving. I love her, you know if you haven't, by the way, checked out her TikTok or social media. She records herself doing the ring introductions. She's so animated and so much fun to watch. She could be a wrestler if she wanted to be. And actually the facials that she gave during her match or during her boyfriend's match or fiance I think now Ricochet versus Logan Paul was brilliant, and the introductions she gives no. I love the way she does it. She adds these little twists and flavors of her own. She's got such a strong voice. She's like the unsung hero. She's like the the unsung hero of Raw in a weird way. She just adds to every entrance. She's so good, so good. I have nothing bad to say about Samantha Irving. She is a delight every time. She's like the female Tony Chimmel. She's great, She's just just brilliant. So as far as Nakama, yeah, I was going to mention in that and I decided not to. With Knakamura turning down the title shot with Seth, I mean Seth was basically saying no, I'm giving you a title shot. Why it is a weird dynamic, whereas Shinsk's like, no, no, no. I think what he could have added there was on my time. He could have said those three words, you know. And the announcers covered for this by saying, and especially Corey Graves, I think said, you know, well, Knakamura wants to do it on his time. Makes sense. He's always pick and choose their times to fight. But it is weird where the person who's champion is like trying to force you to take this title opportunity when they're in a weekend state and you're like, no, they just missed a little key phrase that was covered by Corey Graves. But Shinsky could have easily, like I just said, said you know, on my time, Seth, easy, got it great? Now we know you don't want to fight face him now, you want to pick your spot. But it is a weird, a weird thing to say over and over and over. But I mean, if that's the worst thing that's happening with this program that has been other than that utterly brilliant and overachieving, I mean, then you know we've really got nothing to complain about.
