<v Speaker 1>Welcome to the NXT Podcast, your home for weekly NXT <v Speaker 1>reviews and insights. <v Speaker 2>The beautiful part of NXT is that when one dream ends, <v Speaker 2>another dream begins. <v Speaker 1>Find all of your NXT news, recaps and analysis right here. <v Speaker 1>So with that being said, we only have one question <v Speaker 1>for you. Ah we thought, so let's get the show <v Speaker 1>started right now. <v Speaker 2>All right, everyone, this is Memphis Mark coming to you <v Speaker 2>from Mullet Manor and we're going to do the review <v Speaker 2>for eight twenty seven of NXT, all leading up to <v Speaker 2>No Mercy in Denver coming up this weekend. And uh, <v Speaker 2>you know they start off, they've got the little ladies <v Speaker 2>going out. You've got metaphor or is it meta too. <v Speaker 2>You've got Jakar and Jackson and Lash Legends speaking a <v Speaker 2>little truth. And then you've got they call him Fatal Influence. <v Speaker 2>It's Valin, uh j C Jane and Jasmine Nix and uh, <v Speaker 2>they spit a few facts and then of course you <v Speaker 2>know they've got to have a match after that. So <v Speaker 2>in the mind itself, uh, you know, it's not so bad. <v Speaker 2>It's some of the things that that kind of kind <v Speaker 2>of become apparent in this match. You know, the two <v Speaker 2>best are absolutely you know Valin and JC. Uh, and <v Speaker 2>it's not really that close after that. Uh, Jakara needs <v Speaker 2>more time. Uh, I see flashes, you know. Uh, we'll <v Speaker 2>see in the future, Jazz. I haven't seen enough out <v Speaker 2>of her to really make a comment yet. But lash Man, <v Speaker 2>they really really need to get somebody to work with her. <v Speaker 2>She has the capability of being something really really big. <v Speaker 2>But and I'm not against the you know what they're <v Speaker 2>doing with her now, but she doesn't. The other ladies <v Speaker 2>somehow don't sometimes seem like they don't know how to <v Speaker 2>work with someone that is that big and that strong. <v Speaker 2>And she's trying. She sells, she does her part, but <v Speaker 2>she needs more time in the ring. And it's just, <v Speaker 2>I mean, it's a problem. It's a good problem to <v Speaker 2>have because that pretty much means that she's going to be, <v Speaker 2>you know, gonna be okay with time. You know. Now, <v Speaker 2>the the fatal influence ends up getting the win in this, <v Speaker 2>but it's three different looks in one trio there. You know, <v Speaker 2>we'll see how that goes on down the road. Uh. <v Speaker 2>But then we got to have our our weekly drama session. Uh. <v Speaker 2>Brought to you by Wes Lee Able to to make <v Speaker 2>people feel uncomfortable for years, it seems. But it's him <v Speaker 2>and uh is a tray is at zach. I don't know. <v Speaker 2>They're they're doing a promo and there's uh uh uh <v Speaker 2>you're the wa wai same ode, uh you know, hold <v Speaker 2>me down, different levels type stuff there. But anyway, they <v Speaker 2>go from there to another another interesting promo, uh, you know, <v Speaker 2>with Eddie Thorpe out there, and they show Eddie Thorpe <v Speaker 2>doing uh you know out there, you know, DJing out <v Speaker 2>and he just happens to be what looks like a <v Speaker 2>ring and it just happens to be what looks like <v Speaker 2>a bunch of people standing around it with piped in <v Speaker 2>music or crowd you know, reaction. But you know, they <v Speaker 2>throw some girls in they're in and in the background though, <v Speaker 2>and the whole thing got to shut there and there <v Speaker 2>you've got in the background, you've got an oafie going <v Speaker 2>in it looks like into the training room or something. <v Speaker 2>And then Brooks Jensen falling there and it's whoops up <v Speaker 2>side the head there and of course Eddie and them <v Speaker 2>come in and save the day. But it was kind <v Speaker 2>of interesting the little like they're doing their interview and <v Speaker 2>he's not that you know, He's like, just the interview <v Speaker 2>wasn't going there, their little promo wasn't going that great. <v Speaker 2>But then the background you see that, and then what <v Speaker 2>leads up after that, so hey, you know, little innervation there, <v Speaker 2>you can't go wrong there. But then after that, after that, <v Speaker 2>the second match you've got is he Dame the big <v Speaker 2>volleyball player, and you've got Carmen Petribitts and there the <v Speaker 2>Marshall arch expert there, but again there again in this match, <v Speaker 2>it just so happens that you have two big ladies, <v Speaker 2>two tall ladies. That's what I mean to say, tall ladies. <v Speaker 2>I mean they are the size that they can work. <v Speaker 2>There should be somebody to work with them to really <v Speaker 2>show some of the other ladies how to react and <v Speaker 2>how to I don't know how to put it, you know, <v Speaker 2>in the in the in the bestness of ways, and <v Speaker 2>I don't want to say anything wrong. They just need, Uh, <v Speaker 2>these ladies are very talented and they need the right <v Speaker 2>person to work with them, because is he man. She <v Speaker 2>man handles most of this match. She really just takes <v Speaker 2>control and then Carmen has flashes flashes, and uh, I <v Speaker 2>don't think they're getting good at getting any better by chance. <v Speaker 2>The way they work together, I think that there should <v Speaker 2>be some other of the ladies get in there with <v Speaker 2>all are big, big, smaller, just the same way they <v Speaker 2>do the men. And I think that these ladies will <v Speaker 2>just progress and progress. But in this particular match, Carmen <v Speaker 2>gets a roll up, kind of a soft end. You know, <v Speaker 2>that's what I'm saying. You know, it was just okay, <v Speaker 2>you know, I mean, that's what I mean. They could <v Speaker 2>do more. But then after that, you've got you've got <v Speaker 2>Jada Parker doing an interview, and you know, they're spouting <v Speaker 2>all her talent from her soccer days, and she's explaining <v Speaker 2>how she's always been in the spotlight, so this spotlight <v Speaker 2>will not be too big for her and yeah. So <v Speaker 2>she's out there, and then of course the prodigy Roxanne Booker, <v Speaker 2>T's favorite you know, export from his wrestling school. He <v Speaker 2>yeah he he. Well, she gets in there and and <v Speaker 2>uh takes over the interview and Jada politely tells her, Hey, <v Speaker 2>you know, somebody needs to slap the the taste out <v Speaker 2>of your face and uh, and then she proceeds to <v Speaker 2>do it. Uh. So that was actually pretty good, a <v Speaker 2>lot better than the Wesley drama party there. This was <v Speaker 2>actually pretty good there. So yeah, uh but after that, <v Speaker 2>they've got you know, they got Tony Tony in the family. <v Speaker 2>You know, they're warming up and you know, they got <v Speaker 2>two guys, not three guys, but two guys that are <v Speaker 2>you know, coming over and trying to tell Tony they <v Speaker 2>got something to tell him, and he's like, hey man, <v Speaker 2>you know we're getting ready for the match. Man, we <v Speaker 2>can't no, no, not now. So yeah, they go out <v Speaker 2>and you've got the new quarter catch crew, which you've <v Speaker 2>got Dempsey and Born Again and Wren. So it's a <v Speaker 2>you know, a trio with a lady involved and on <v Speaker 2>Tony d side, you've got you know, look, and you've <v Speaker 2>got you know, Tony D's on the outside of course, <v Speaker 2>but yeah, you've got the whole Tony Deep family in <v Speaker 2>there with Rizzo. So you know in this, the ladies <v Speaker 2>do have pretty good spots in this. You know, Wren <v Speaker 2>keeps getting involved which causes Rizzo to come flying out <v Speaker 2>of the ring and where she actually does a fireman <v Speaker 2>carry on mister Dempsey. Uh, you know, and it's it's <v Speaker 2>a pretty good match. Actually. Looka really comes out in <v Speaker 2>here and shows you know what he can do. And <v Speaker 2>he ends up pulling the win out of this match. <v Speaker 2>But during the match, the two guys, not the three guys, <v Speaker 2>but the two guys and not four guys, but two <v Speaker 2>guys come back and they they whisk Tony away. So, uh, <v Speaker 2>you know, we're left wondering where did Tony go? And <v Speaker 2>then they have some more drawa with Wes Lee and <v Speaker 2>uh and Tray him all right, so and it's yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's uh the rascals. I can't believe it. Let me <v Speaker 2>see the Tray just wants the n XT rub West <v Speaker 2>is on a different level. A lot of die security <v Speaker 2>gets involved. They got some refs out there been done <v Speaker 2>in the past and done a lot better. But after <v Speaker 2>that they go Joe Injury. Not to be too hard <v Speaker 2>showing them, but they go to Joe Injury because you know, <v Speaker 2>you know, everybody believes. Uh. But yeah, they got him <v Speaker 2>and Trick doing a promo and they do, you know, <v Speaker 2>Tricks getting better on the stick and Joe's great, so <v Speaker 2>they cut a little spot in Joe. Let's Trick know that, hey, <v Speaker 2>if I win, and Trick says you will win against <v Speaker 2>Ethan Page, Uh that uh, you know that he gets <v Speaker 2>the first shot, so Trick of course, happy happy happy. <v Speaker 2>Uh yeah, and then you know they've got the little <v Speaker 2>promo coming up after that with Kleanni Jordan, the North <v Speaker 2>American champ, and she kind of calls out Wendy Chew <v Speaker 2>and uh Wendy Chew and uh, you know, and uh, <v Speaker 2>Wendy says, you know, I don't got at warm up <v Speaker 2>for you, and we all wonder who it is. Well, folks, <v Speaker 2>it's uh, it's Rosemary, another TNA talent coming over. And guys, <v Speaker 2>let me tell you did they waste the debut pretty <v Speaker 2>much of uh on Prime Time there of Rosemary? I mean, <v Speaker 2>she comes out Miss Jordan. Uh. It is obvious in <v Speaker 2>this particular match that Miss Jordan is very good at <v Speaker 2>a scripted moves that's set up and she can make <v Speaker 2>the you know things right, but on the fly somebody <v Speaker 2>messes up and you got to turn it around or <v Speaker 2>maybe you see an opportunity to where you can do this, <v Speaker 2>that and the other. She's not on that level, speaking <v Speaker 2>of levels, and Rosemary is. But the awkward style the <v Speaker 2>I mean, you know, I'm not gonna say I'm the <v Speaker 2>biggest fan of Rosemary by any means, but this could <v Speaker 2>have been done so much better. And it shouldn't have <v Speaker 2>been done as a as a promo or to set <v Speaker 2>up someone understand the Windy chew and the tool and <v Speaker 2>the Rosemary reference. But Rosemary deserved I think a little <v Speaker 2>bit better shot to come on before they just let <v Speaker 2>her take an l but hey, it is what it is. <v Speaker 2>But Miss Jordan ends up pulling a win out of here, <v Speaker 2>and of course a Windy too comes on afterwards and <v Speaker 2>puts her to sleep for the second time, and Rosemary <v Speaker 2>watches with a lovely glaze there, So yeah, it could <v Speaker 2>have been so much better. But then they've got to <v Speaker 2>bring Aura Mensa into the metaphor to make it a <v Speaker 2>meta three, trying to get these numbers right since there <v Speaker 2>is no Anno am right now. So they bring Lexus <v Speaker 2>King and they start doing daddy talk again and Daddy <v Speaker 2>this and Daddy that, and then there's a fight, so <v Speaker 2>we know where this is heading next week for sure. Uh. <v Speaker 2>And then they have a you know, an interesting pep <v Speaker 2>rally with Chase U, you know, and you know, they <v Speaker 2>do the whole rah rah shishboomba, and then there's a <v Speaker 2>sad time. Yes, there's a sad time because Riley and <v Speaker 2>Duke apologize to all of Chase Nation and uh and <v Speaker 2>say they couldn't get the job done last week. And <v Speaker 2>then they're sorry but to no uh to know, uh well, <v Speaker 2>but anyway to no avail uh to no avail. There <v Speaker 2>U there comes Ridge Holland, and Ridge gives an inspiring speech. <v Speaker 2>I guess you would say where he uh he says <v Speaker 2>it's okay, but he slips a little word in there. <v Speaker 2>He slips a little word in it says, as long <v Speaker 2>as I have these titles, I will be loyal to <v Speaker 2>Chase you. Okay. Interesting interesting little thing there. So maybe <v Speaker 2>maybe not maybe so I don't know, but then you've <v Speaker 2>gotten Nathan an axiom. You know, they got to show <v Speaker 2>up the ex Champs and uh you know, they go <v Speaker 2>through their whole little spill their little history and then <v Speaker 2>say that uh you know, at no mercy that they <v Speaker 2>that they're going to get the belts back, that the <v Speaker 2>Chase you will be crumbling down. Uh so yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>uh they're going to go there with that. So we <v Speaker 2>will see coming up this weekend in Denver, the Maha City, <v Speaker 2>uh you know, and it's uh, you know, I like <v Speaker 2>watching uh some of these guys in that uh that <v Speaker 2>upper elevated climate because most people it does not affect <v Speaker 2>and sometimes I've seen where I expected to it to <v Speaker 2>affect a larger person. Uh, Bronson will be the first <v Speaker 2>one that I'd bring up on that, and he strived. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you know, so different effects for different people. <v Speaker 2>So it'll be interesting to see where we go with <v Speaker 2>that next week. But now we've got Blade from Ufie <v Speaker 2>and Blade and uh yeah, Blade blades out there and <v Speaker 2>and he's going against Brooks. Jensen wants a little revenge <v Speaker 2>and you know, uh, you know, Brooks is a second generation, <v Speaker 2>so he's been around the ring and he's more of <v Speaker 2>this is more of his style is more of an <v Speaker 2>older traditional style. And then you have the high flying <v Speaker 2>of Blade, which can get all over the ring and <v Speaker 2>use the ropes, and he comes out really fast in <v Speaker 2>this match, just hooting and hollering and flipping and a flopping, <v Speaker 2>but it ends up getting kind of grounded and kind <v Speaker 2>of goes back to your traditional style. And I'm not <v Speaker 2>going to say it's in this particular match, you know, <v Speaker 2>and it was okay, This match was okay. You know, <v Speaker 2>Brooks is you know, he's got the Beard, so he's <v Speaker 2>going with a rough look there, you know it's and <v Speaker 2>it works a little better on him than that that <v Speaker 2>person on the other show, not on the EW that's <v Speaker 2>trying to grow a beard at it and look not <v Speaker 2>so cake fabish. But anyway, uh yeah, Brooks kind of <v Speaker 2>pulls it off. And in this match, you know, he's <v Speaker 2>growing unto the role. He's a renegade, he's a loose cannon. <v Speaker 2>He's Brooks Jenson and he's a little mad about what <v Speaker 2>happened to Sean Spears. Spears, so we'll see where that <v Speaker 2>goes from there. But then they've got you can't have <v Speaker 2>an NXT show without a Hank and Tank, you know, <v Speaker 2>showing up, you know, an old Hank and you know, <v Speaker 2>apparently they've got like a YouTube show where the show's <v Speaker 2>on the on the ww channel there, but they have <v Speaker 2>their own version of the Hank and Dank Show. So <v Speaker 2>you know, they're doing a little promotion out there and <v Speaker 2>hollering and screaming like they do. And then uh, well <v Speaker 2>OTM comes out out the mud and uh, you know, <v Speaker 2>they spit some facts that you know, should you should <v Speaker 2>should be talking about Jada Parker and uh and then <v Speaker 2>you know, of course Hank and Tank's got to remind <v Speaker 2>him that hey, they just had that big win against uh, <v Speaker 2>you know those see the good brothers, and uh, well, <v Speaker 2>OTM reminds them that they already checked that box. So <v Speaker 2>we see what will happen. I ink and Tank going <v Speaker 2>up against OTM coming up, so we will see how <v Speaker 2>that goes. Uh. But then they go back the thorny <v Speaker 2>the thorny d you know, and he's in his that <v Speaker 2>his place, and apparently, oh bofe me the ruler of <v Speaker 2>n XT, it is coming to see the Don of <v Speaker 2>NXT on his own stomping grounds, kind of a polite <v Speaker 2>uh slap of the glove, you know, saying, hey, you <v Speaker 2>may be the Don, but I'm the ruler. And you know, <v Speaker 2>Fimmy's all you know. They got him all dueled up. <v Speaker 2>He's you know, and he looks good there, and he <v Speaker 2>does pretty good in the interviews, to tell you the truth. Man, <v Speaker 2>He spits his facts, you know, and it gives you know, <v Speaker 2>Tony a chance to do his But you know, this <v Speaker 2>wasn't so bad. It's a good little setup. It's a <v Speaker 2>good little way and the match should be pretty good <v Speaker 2>because he did do pretty good with Obas. So there <v Speaker 2>again there's a big guy gonna fight a guy that's <v Speaker 2>a little smaller but still big, and they're gonna move good. <v Speaker 2>And if anybody can remember this past week, Bronson and <v Speaker 2>and the Big Man, the Big s O B. You know, <v Speaker 2>and he man, they put on a show for the <v Speaker 2>big guys. And Man, I really think this is gonna <v Speaker 2>be a good match. Hopefully, you know we will of course, <v Speaker 2>C that's without a doubt, but I kind of jumped ahead. <v Speaker 2>That was actually after this match, because we did have <v Speaker 2>a match in there between, and it was the young <v Speaker 2>og Javon Evans going against Joe Coffee of the Goddess Boys, <v Speaker 2>and you know, Joe Coffee's going to give you a <v Speaker 2>good match. He's gonna get whoever over. It's like the <v Speaker 2>Good Brothers, OHC or you know. I mean, there's certain teams. <v Speaker 2>There are certain people that can just get someone over, <v Speaker 2>no matter what they are, the veteran they are, They're <v Speaker 2>gonna make sure this match looks good because they appreciate <v Speaker 2>their airtime. And Joe Coffee never disappoints, you know. And <v Speaker 2>of course Wolfgang and Mark. I've got to get involved. Mark. <v Speaker 2>It's gonna end up taking a big blow off the <v Speaker 2>top rope from the young og when he's getting bounty. Uh, <v Speaker 2>and he does get bounty quite a bit, and you <v Speaker 2>know he's gonna end up losing this match. Joe Coffee's <v Speaker 2>gonna end up losing this match after Mark Coffee takes <v Speaker 2>a big I believe it was a cutter off the <v Speaker 2>top rope. But young o g looked really good coming <v Speaker 2>out of this match. You know, it's a it's a <v Speaker 2>true version of losing the match, you know, losing the battle, <v Speaker 2>but winning the war kind of looked really good. And hey, <v Speaker 2>you know he's you know, he's ready to take that move. <v Speaker 2>Somebody just needs to feed that young man a few <v Speaker 2>more sandwiches, you know, or we get that man something <v Speaker 2>to eat late at night, so it stays on his <v Speaker 2>ribs a little bit. I don't know, just growing too. <v Speaker 2>His role is what he do, is what he'll do. <v Speaker 2>But hey, not so bad, not so bad. Yeah, But <v Speaker 2>then we go we go to the concert. That's right, <v Speaker 2>n XT, We're gonna have a shit. It's not Jeff Jared, <v Speaker 2>it's not BG James, Nope, Nope, we're going We're not <v Speaker 2>going there. It's I believe it's Joe Hendry. Uh. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>The Scotsman's gonna get in there. And uh earlier, Uh, <v Speaker 2>Ava and EP we're in a uh uh you know, <v Speaker 2>because they is all wise and all knowing. Uh. She <v Speaker 2>got upset with EP earlier and uh, you know EP <v Speaker 2>tried to get himself that's uh, you know, Ethan Page <v Speaker 2>tried to get himself uh possibly suspended or something like that. <v Speaker 2>And of course Ava wasn't going for that and said that, <v Speaker 2>you know, she let her, you know, let him know, <v Speaker 2>you know what she's gonna do. So uh, ye had <v Speaker 2>Joe Hendry because everybody believes he comes out and you know, <v Speaker 2>not an unelias deal. Uh. He played a little guitar <v Speaker 2>and got out there and sang a song about Ethan <v Speaker 2>Page and let's just say he didn't play him or <v Speaker 2>put him in the best of light. You know, made <v Speaker 2>some funny gestures there and had some good photographs to <v Speaker 2>go along with it. So you know, of course that's <v Speaker 2>gonna bring you know, Ethan Page is gonna have to <v Speaker 2>come out and stop the show. And of course the crowd, <v Speaker 2>the crowd actually in this when Ethan does finally get <v Speaker 2>into the ring or whatever like that to confront the <v Speaker 2>believer and Joe Hendry he gets in and confronts him <v Speaker 2>and says has spilled. The crowd is still going along <v Speaker 2>with the song, the course of the song that mister <v Speaker 2>Hendry had had just been singing. And I won't even <v Speaker 2>think about singing it, but when you see it, you <v Speaker 2>will know. And yeah, of course Ethan Page is mad <v Speaker 2>and there's about to be a fight. There's gonna be <v Speaker 2>there's tension. And then the all knowing and all wise <v Speaker 2>Eva comes out and she notifies the crowd and ep <v Speaker 2>mister Ethan Page the champion that you know, there's gonna <v Speaker 2>be a special referee. And of course the crowd already <v Speaker 2>starts whoop that Trick and I can do that from Memphis. <v Speaker 2>That's not really singing, but yeah, the crowd goes crazy, <v Speaker 2>and of course Trick Williams comes out in a customized, <v Speaker 2>nice fitting Reugh shirt and is ready for battle. And <v Speaker 2>so yeah, you're gonna have a couple of little hoops <v Speaker 2>and highs of course after that. But yeah, they're setting up. <v Speaker 2>That's right, Trick Williams is going to be the special <v Speaker 2>referee coming up for No Mercy in Denver this weekend. <v Speaker 2>So uh, in the card looks pretty good, you know, <v Speaker 2>it's going to be a big weekend all the way around, <v Speaker 2>so kind of looking forward to it. So you know, <v Speaker 2>we've had, of course the passing of Psycho Sid and <v Speaker 2>uh and and so we'll a good a good show <v Speaker 2>after this from everybody from all three brands. Should make <v Speaker 2>it feel a little better. There we go, guys. It's <v Speaker 2>kind of a you know, a neat and clean version <v Speaker 2>of the uh the NXT show we had this week. <v Speaker 2>Uh so yes, and UH, I did want to say <v Speaker 2>got some I will and I will definitely uh do <v Speaker 2>it that there's a few people that have contacted me <v Speaker 2>through the military service.
