<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to
<v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast show.
<v Speaker 2>The one that Everybody wants me.
<v Speaker 3>God st three sixteen said, just what your ass is?
<v Speaker 1>My ard? You're gonna acknowledge me.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, everybody, welcome to the Monday Night Raw Review here
<v Speaker 2>on the w Podcast for this Tuesday, February fourth, twenty
<v Speaker 2>twenty five. As we're gonna go through Monday Night rob
<v Speaker 2>one that had a lot of really really one that
<v Speaker 2>was actually more eventful than I think a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people realize. And yes, the good, the bad, the ugly,
<v Speaker 2>all of it will be discussed tonight or today is
<v Speaker 2>the case may be, and we now look forward to
<v Speaker 2>March first for the Elimination Chain, as the next is
<v Speaker 2>the next mile marker before WrestleMania. I think it's the
<v Speaker 2>final stop before Mania, unless they throw a Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 2>main event in there or some you know, some saudy
<v Speaker 2>event that's unforeseen, but that is the last stop, believe
<v Speaker 2>it or not. The last stop before WrestleMania is the
<v Speaker 2>Elimination Chamber, which qualifying matches are now under way. John
<v Speaker 2>Cena declared himself for the Elimination Chamber, which many of
<v Speaker 2>have looked at as a possible heel turn. That's I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I don't think it's impossible, but it's I mean, it's
<v Speaker 2>it's it's not likely, but there's some evidence for that.
<v Speaker 2>And then you have did your McIntyre walk out at
<v Speaker 2>the Rumble. Many are suspecting that he was angry about
<v Speaker 2>the Logan Paul, you know, the Logan Paul scenario of
<v Speaker 2>him coming back and wanting to get all of his
<v Speaker 2>maneuvers in speculative at this point. We'll have to dig
<v Speaker 2>into that a little bit more as more news becomes
<v Speaker 2>available on why Drew McIntyre exactly walked out and was
<v Speaker 2>just apparently super irritated that some stars or star had
<v Speaker 2>to get their s in i e. Their moves at
<v Speaker 2>the expense of the match of what they were supposed
<v Speaker 2>to do. So that is you know, again we don't
<v Speaker 2>have the full story on that, but that is what
<v Speaker 2>is apparently underway with Drew. And we now have Rhea
<v Speaker 2>Ripley confronting Charlotte Flair. The Charlotte Fair Flair promo that
<v Speaker 2>people wanted nothing to do with, and many people are
<v Speaker 2>feeling bad for Charlotte, which I do not Okay, I
<v Speaker 2>do not have any sympathy for Charlotte, and I'll get
<v Speaker 2>into why that's actually a good thing for what she's
<v Speaker 2>going to try to do moving forward. So a lot
<v Speaker 2>to talk about tonight. We are in the beginning stages
<v Speaker 2>of WrestleMania season, and I think that's a good thing
<v Speaker 2>because there's so much that could happen between now and then.
<v Speaker 2>Apparently The Rock is angry at how his you know,
<v Speaker 2>how his story of coming back to face Cody came out.
<v Speaker 2>There's some weird story about that which I don't believe,
<v Speaker 2>and how the Rock doesn't seem to be likely for
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania anymore at this point. So yes, rumors, speculation, all
<v Speaker 2>of that coming your way here on the Monday Night
<v Speaker 2>Raw Review. A couple things before we get into Monday
<v Speaker 2>Night Raw. Number one, I want to thank the patrons,
<v Speaker 2>all of you who have joined us, Kelly Wright, who
<v Speaker 2>have joined us over the last couple of days, Alex Blundell,
<v Speaker 2>thank you, Amber Sherill, thank you all of you for
<v Speaker 2>joining on the ww podcast, and I hope you enjoy
<v Speaker 2>your ad free experience. If you don't see the discord server,
<v Speaker 2>message me separately on Patreon. I will send you the
<v Speaker 2>link to the Discord server if you want to be
<v Speaker 2>a part of that and talk with the other patrons
<v Speaker 2>of the show and just talk wrestling so other thing.
<v Speaker 2>Tomorrow I will be out of the country, Okay, I
<v Speaker 2>will not be here, So that means that the postings
<v Speaker 2>of this show will still continue, but it may be
<v Speaker 2>on the typical schedule that you're used to. I will
<v Speaker 2>do my best to post when I can. If something
<v Speaker 2>crazy happens that I need to talk about, I will
<v Speaker 2>pop on, depending on the Wi Fi in my hotel,
<v Speaker 2>which apparently is really good, so I'm cross my fingers
<v Speaker 2>on that. But I'll be back on Sunday night. That
<v Speaker 2>does not mean a week in review is happening, however,
<v Speaker 2>because I'll be traveling Sunday night, so it may be
<v Speaker 2>a weird Monday show where I'm previewing the raw for
<v Speaker 2>that night and then also covering the bigger stories of
<v Speaker 2>the week that I was unable to talk about. But
<v Speaker 2>your SmackDown review, You're NXT, your weekend review, or rather
<v Speaker 2>your You're After Dark, will be still being posted. It's
<v Speaker 2>just a matter of timing, maybe a little bit off,
<v Speaker 2>maybe actually earlier, maybe later. Maybe Yeah, So just bear
<v Speaker 2>with me over the next four or five days as
<v Speaker 2>we do our best to get the content to you
<v Speaker 2>that you guys deserve. So all right, that said, let's
<v Speaker 2>get into the nitty gritty of Monday Night Raw. So
<v Speaker 2>recap video of the Rumble appeared, and that'll probably appear
<v Speaker 2>for the next five weeks. I mean, especially WrestleMania WrestleMania
<v Speaker 2>review recaps. They go on sometimes I feel like into summer.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it's just constant. But the one thing I
<v Speaker 2>will say, because I'm remembering it right now, we have
<v Speaker 2>news that Roman Reigns is out of action for the
<v Speaker 2>foreseeable future because of injury quote unquote, which I think
<v Speaker 2>is a work to get to rollins and rains at minimum. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>Punk could be involved in a three way, but at
<v Speaker 2>minimum rollins and rains at Chamber or likely at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 2>especially if the Rock's not going to be there, which
<v Speaker 2>I'm just going to presume he's not. So it's rollins
<v Speaker 2>and rains at WrestleMania. And really it's Roman Reigns as
<v Speaker 2>schedule that is just built to sustain injury, meaning he
<v Speaker 2>could be injured and you'd never know because his injury
<v Speaker 2>schedule looks very much like his regular schedule. So I mean,
<v Speaker 2>they could have told us that Roman Reigns isn't injured
<v Speaker 2>and we would have not blinked denied that he's not
<v Speaker 2>there for five weeks, six weeks, you know, it would
<v Speaker 2>have been like, oh, well, let's just Roman schedule. So
<v Speaker 2>they had to tell us he's injured. And I do
<v Speaker 2>believe it's story driven given the stomps by Rollins at
<v Speaker 2>Royal Rumble. But the other injury that seems to be
<v Speaker 2>more real and the one that seems to be more
<v Speaker 2>legitimate that's coming out is Cody Rhodes, the Cody Roads injury,
<v Speaker 2>and that seems to be something that is potentially a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more of a of a real scenario. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know if that is actually going to be affecting
<v Speaker 2>his schedule. There's no major breaking news. I mean, if
<v Speaker 2>this was something that would have affected Cody Roads as
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania schedule, you'd have saw breaking news. But there are
<v Speaker 2>news reports out there that Cody Rhods is you know,
<v Speaker 2>working through, has sustained or will refrain from in ring activity. Again,
<v Speaker 2>don't say you know that all I said that, and
<v Speaker 2>he's still here. Cody rhads fights through injuries. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>they all do. They're all very, you know, extremely mentally
<v Speaker 2>physically tough individuals, and that's what you expect. But there
<v Speaker 2>are reports that Cody Roads is legitimately injured. So I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. I could be totally wrong, but let's continue here.
<v Speaker 2>So Men's Royal Rumble winner Jay Uso was shown walking
<v Speaker 2>through the concourse and he looked for the looked into
<v Speaker 2>the camera and Jay was introduced by Alicia Taylor. He
<v Speaker 2>stopped slapped hands with the broadcast team before entering the ring.
<v Speaker 2>Cole described Jay's rumble as one of the most shocking
<v Speaker 2>in Rumble history. I mean, is it really though? It's not.
<v Speaker 2>I know he's trying to make it a big deal.
<v Speaker 2>Is it's not a shock? I meant, a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people in this show, listeners of the show predicted correctly,
<v Speaker 2>while I was a total fool and didn't believe Jay
<v Speaker 2>Uso was gonna win or could win. But it's not
<v Speaker 2>a shock of the world. I mean, to me, A
<v Speaker 2>bigger shock was Raymisterio winning in two thousand and six,
<v Speaker 2>that when Shawn Michael's Triple h and Raymysterio were the
<v Speaker 2>final three Raymisterio entered at number one. That to me
<v Speaker 2>was more of a shock, but sure, okay, so you
<v Speaker 2>deserve a chance. Broke out. He removed his shade, his
<v Speaker 2>Yeat shades, and Jay said he didn't know what to say.
<v Speaker 2>He said, you know, to the Yeat champ beside that, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, Jay doesn't talk. I have to say it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't talk the most eloquent sentences. I'm certainly not the
<v Speaker 2>most eloquent talker in the world. But Jay us So
<v Speaker 2>at times just kind of says words that are broken
<v Speaker 2>put together that I have to kind of fill in about,
<v Speaker 2>you know, the other fifty percent. So you know, it's just,
<v Speaker 2>it is what it is. And he's still you know,
<v Speaker 2>he's still a decent promo. But I wouldn't say Jay
<v Speaker 2>us So is a you know, in the top twenty
<v Speaker 2>promos of all time, like in terms of ability. He's
<v Speaker 2>just he's decent. He's enough to get to the main
<v Speaker 2>event and stay there. But anyway, I haven't seen ever
<v Speaker 2>a promo from Jay that's just dropped dead. But to
<v Speaker 2>be fair, I didn't see Roman Rains cut any promo.
<v Speaker 2>To this day, Roman Reigns hasn't cut a promo that
<v Speaker 2>makes you go, oh my god, and yet look at him,
<v Speaker 2>you know, so all right, well let's continue. So he
<v Speaker 2>said he got in the game fifteen years ago and
<v Speaker 2>established a legacy with his brother Jimmy. He spoke about
<v Speaker 2>the pandemic era, joining the Bloodline. He said those were
<v Speaker 2>cool chapters in his career and he was not confident
<v Speaker 2>about becoming a singles wrestler. He said, I didn't have it, bruh,
<v Speaker 2>I didn't have it, he said, but coming out to
<v Speaker 2>coming out here tonight, I got it. Now you deserve
<v Speaker 2>a chance. Continued, He got emotional, his voice cracked about
<v Speaker 2>how hard he work gets his position. He teared up
<v Speaker 2>while thanking the fans. He said, because of the fans,
<v Speaker 2>He's going to wrestle Mania for the main event and
<v Speaker 2>it's just me who's World heavyweight champion. Guntherer comes out
<v Speaker 2>and he said, he offered congratulations and then he asked
<v Speaker 2>for what he said in reality, I'm disappointed because quite honestly,
<v Speaker 2>this year, this possible matchup, it doesn't appeal to me.
<v Speaker 2>Gunther said Jade can't even lace his boots and said
<v Speaker 2>he had to learn box office and how to make
<v Speaker 2>fans think he's barely holding onto his championship, but he's
<v Speaker 2>always in control. He said. He refuses to do this
<v Speaker 2>with Jay again. Jay tried to speak, but Gunther cut
<v Speaker 2>him off, and Gunther said he's in the process of
<v Speaker 2>building a legacy for himself and beating Jay at Rustlemania
<v Speaker 2>doesn't add anything to it. Gunther said, beating John Cena
<v Speaker 2>or Rowan Rains or Seampunk would have added something. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>let's pause there. Can I shake this man's hand? Can
<v Speaker 2>we put Gunther on a United States Bill? I mean,
<v Speaker 2>pick one of the presidents and just kind of swap
<v Speaker 2>him in. That's exactly right. I mean it sounds disrespectful
<v Speaker 2>at a little bit counterintuitive for me to say, I
<v Speaker 2>don't mean any disrespect to Jay, but also at the
<v Speaker 2>same time, you're not at the level of a Cmpunk
<v Speaker 2>or a Roman Reigns or Yeah, he's just not. I
<v Speaker 2>understand that people like doing yeat and they like waving
<v Speaker 2>their hands up and down, and that's fun and it's
<v Speaker 2>a nice visual, but Gunther is one hundred percent correct.
<v Speaker 2>Tell me the lie, Show me the lie that Gunther
<v Speaker 2>had he any lie? Was there? A lie? Detected? As
<v Speaker 2>the kids say no, no, cap that's even more accurate
<v Speaker 2>for current lingo. No cap here, folks, because he Gunther.
<v Speaker 2>I'm feeling disappointed for Gunther. He said, it doesn't appeal
<v Speaker 2>to me, and it shouldn't. He already beat Jay. He
<v Speaker 2>already beat him, So like, why are we Why should
<v Speaker 2>guntherer be excited about? Why should his character gain anything
<v Speaker 2>from it. He's already proven he can beat Jay, so
<v Speaker 2>there's nothing for him to gain here. Now. I know
<v Speaker 2>that the story is that Gunther is going to be
<v Speaker 2>taking Jay lightly, and Jay's got new tricks up a sleeve,
<v Speaker 2>and sure he got taken to the limit by a
<v Speaker 2>gun the but we just saw the WrestleMania main event
<v Speaker 2>like two weeks ago. We just saw it, so it's
<v Speaker 2>not exciting as a fan. I'm sorry. Now, the thing is,
<v Speaker 2>you're thinking, well, maybe he'll go for Cody. No, he's not.
<v Speaker 2>He's not going for Cody Rhads. The winner of the
<v Speaker 2>elimination Chamber is gonna face Cody Roads. Let's be serious. Now,
<v Speaker 2>Jay can play Coy and oh I'm gonna go to
<v Speaker 2>you know, SmackDown. I'm gonna tease that it's gonna be
<v Speaker 2>It's not gonna be Cody. Of course, it's not it's
<v Speaker 2>not gonna be codyro No, it's gonna be gun the Yes.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't want to hear this nonsense. It's gonna
<v Speaker 2>be Cody or could be Cody. They can tease it
<v Speaker 2>all they want, it's not happening. So this is not
<v Speaker 2>an exciting I know many of you were, like, you know,
<v Speaker 2>waiting for a Jay Usso World Championship run, and I
<v Speaker 2>understand it. I don't dislike the Jay character. He's fun,
<v Speaker 2>he's exciting, he's he's very bombastic, and he's colorful, and
<v Speaker 2>he's so merch and he's yeah, all of that, it's fine,
<v Speaker 2>and it's all true. But he doesn't excite me in
<v Speaker 2>this main event because honestly, it doesn't feel like the
<v Speaker 2>timing's right and you just face the guy that he
<v Speaker 2>beat you outright clean. Just two weeks ago we saw
<v Speaker 2>the WrestleMania main event. It's like, how am I supposed
<v Speaker 2>to get excited about that?
<v Speaker 1>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>He could beat Gunster this time? Yeah, and they probably
<v Speaker 2>will have it, but building to that match is not
<v Speaker 2>going to be as fun because we just saw it.
<v Speaker 2>So sure, Jay winning, Well, I'm not going to be
<v Speaker 2>angry by this. I'm not angry by the matchup. I'm
<v Speaker 2>not angry or just I'm not, you know, off put
<v Speaker 2>by it. I think both characters are in a good position.
<v Speaker 2>It doesn't feel WrestleMania. It feels like this should be
<v Speaker 2>a follow up, Like this match should take place at
<v Speaker 2>elimination Chamber and then Gunther's real opponent should come from
<v Speaker 2>the chamber. That's to me, how it should you know,
<v Speaker 2>in a normal world would play out. Jay's just not
<v Speaker 2>quite at that level yet. And you guys can yeat
<v Speaker 2>all you want, but you know in your heart and
<v Speaker 2>you feel it he's in. He's in the top tier,
<v Speaker 2>but not in the top top tier where wressell Mania
<v Speaker 2>main event, winning the championship is where he should be
<v Speaker 2>right now. And you can't tell me you're excited about
<v Speaker 2>that match that you just saw five seconds ago too.
<v Speaker 2>So it sounds like I'm trash and Jay I'm not.
<v Speaker 2>He's a He's a logical choice. I tweeted this out.
<v Speaker 2>He is an absolutely logical choice. His accolades the body
<v Speaker 2>of work he has put into WWE, and it speaks
<v Speaker 2>for itself and all of the sacrifices he's made. Absolutely,
<v Speaker 2>he's a logical choice. He's got a large fan support,
<v Speaker 2>he's got a good connection with the crowd. It just
<v Speaker 2>it's not exciting because it doesn't it doesn't exactly what
<v Speaker 2>Gunther said, there's no star power where at least from
<v Speaker 2>what wrestle Mania should be. That's the key. Not that
<v Speaker 2>this doesn't deserve a pl main event, not that this
<v Speaker 2>doesn't deserve an eventual jay Usso winning the world title,
<v Speaker 2>but it doesn't deserve WrestleMania Maine event. It doesn't feel
<v Speaker 2>like a WrestleMania Maine event at all. And Gunther is
<v Speaker 2>one hundred percent correct. It's not exciting. You can say
<v Speaker 2>yeat until you're you know, your head explodes. It doesn't
<v Speaker 2>make this more exciting. Plus, on the other side of things,
<v Speaker 2>it's not like Gunther is a for you know, a
<v Speaker 2>twenty year VT that's on the backside of his career,
<v Speaker 2>just here to put over new talent. Gunther just won
<v Speaker 2>the World Championship so a few months ago, and he
<v Speaker 2>needs to establish his legacy as well. And I don't
<v Speaker 2>need jay Uso coming in when Gunther's on a roll.
<v Speaker 2>So it's not like it's a shoe in or it
<v Speaker 2>makes total sense to just transfer the belt to Jay.
<v Speaker 2>I would have guntherer beat him. I know everyone looking
<v Speaker 2>to the you know, well, it's Jay, he won the Rumble,
<v Speaker 2>look at the fan support. He's got to be gun there.
<v Speaker 2>But Gunther's in a unique position too, where he's you know,
<v Speaker 2>he's not John Cena carrying the championship in twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 2>where you're like, oh, he's there to just put over
<v Speaker 2>the young talent. No, Gunther's in the same position as Jay.
<v Speaker 2>He's just a little bit more accomplished in the singles
<v Speaker 2>career anyway, singles space. So it's a very weird matchup
<v Speaker 2>to make for WrestleMania where we're supposed to just get
<v Speaker 2>excited for this. So I'm not I'm neutral about it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm rooting for Gunther to win. I know many of
<v Speaker 2>you love Jay and I like him too, but it's
<v Speaker 2>not a WrestleMania main event. It's just not and you
<v Speaker 2>guys know it it on paper from star power, which
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania is built around star power, and yes, helping build
<v Speaker 2>new talent too, but star power. This does not excite
<v Speaker 2>me for Gunther. He's totally right, he's one thousand percent correct.
<v Speaker 2>But let's continue. So Gunther said, Jay had everything to
<v Speaker 2>gain where he has everything to lose. That's exactly right.
<v Speaker 2>Gunther said that if Jay chooses him, it will be
<v Speaker 2>hell every week and WrestleMania will be the most horrible
<v Speaker 2>display of violence the business has ever seen. He said
<v Speaker 2>he would hurt Jay and put him down like a
<v Speaker 2>diseased dog. That was hilarious. Gunther advised Jay to consider
<v Speaker 2>his options and then drop the mic and started to leave.
<v Speaker 2>J told Gunther to wait. He said he's tired of
<v Speaker 2>everyone telling him what he can and can't be. He said,
<v Speaker 2>they tell him he's just a tag team guy. He's
<v Speaker 2>not supposed to be in the main event or win
<v Speaker 2>the Rumble. He said, He's going to smack down and
<v Speaker 2>will halla at Cody Rhodes, whoever I choose. I'm walking
<v Speaker 2>into WrestleMania as the twenty twenty five a Royal Rumble winner.
<v Speaker 2>But I guarantee you I'm walking out of WrestleMania as
<v Speaker 2>main event jay us So, and it will be as champion.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, sure, go to Cody and pretend that that's
<v Speaker 2>not happening. So they no one's telling you what you
<v Speaker 2>can and can't be. You've been a singles guy for
<v Speaker 2>a long time now, Like, yeah, you're part of the
<v Speaker 2>blood line, but it's been a year plus since you've
<v Speaker 2>been more than that since you've been in a singles
<v Speaker 2>role successfully. So no one's telling you. But again, it
<v Speaker 2>can't be. But I like at least that for Jay's sake,
<v Speaker 2>because I do like his character. I don't love it,
<v Speaker 2>but I like it. Is that the fans that are online,
<v Speaker 2>at least the ones that vocally or online, have really
<v Speaker 2>been angry about Jay us So winning and the number
<v Speaker 2>of dislikes versus the number of likes on WWE's video
<v Speaker 2>of jay Uso winning the Rumble. There's a lot more
<v Speaker 2>dislikes than likes, and even more so for Charlotte. We'll
<v Speaker 2>talk about that. But yeah, so this is this is good.
<v Speaker 2>There was no seemingly no booze for Jay. I didn't
<v Speaker 2>hear any it didn't It didn't really resonate at least
<v Speaker 2>in a significant way on camera, which is good for him.
<v Speaker 2>I really don't want the fans to turn on Jay's
<v Speaker 2>not a role right now. It's just not a role
<v Speaker 2>to WrestleMania main event. But he's in the wrestle Mania
<v Speaker 2>Maine event. It's guaranteed. He's the winner. So okay, So
<v Speaker 2>then foot the jared of John Cena announcing he'll compete
<v Speaker 2>in the rumble mat or the Chamber Match. Sorry, he said,
<v Speaker 2>it feels that opportunities earned after all the years he's
<v Speaker 2>spent in the company, and he'll win his seventeenth championship. Again,
<v Speaker 2>that logic makes no sense because imagine applying this logic
<v Speaker 2>to any other sport where there's a team that hasn't
<v Speaker 2>been in the say the world Let's just use baseball,
<v Speaker 2>because that's my favorite professional sport. Say the New York Yankees,
<v Speaker 2>who up until this last year weren't in the World
<v Speaker 2>Series for since two thousand and nine. Right, they didn't
<v Speaker 2>even compete, much less win since two thousand and nine.
<v Speaker 2>But last year's just again, in my fantasy scenario, let's
<v Speaker 2>that the New York Yankees come out and say, hey, listen,
<v Speaker 2>we haven't been in the World Series in a while,
<v Speaker 2>but given in the past that we had a lot
<v Speaker 2>of championship victories, you know, in ninety nine, two thousand,
<v Speaker 2>two thousand and nine, ninety eight, ninety nine, two thousand
<v Speaker 2>and two thousand and nine, yeah we've earned it, you know,
<v Speaker 2>like look at our past, Look look at what we've
<v Speaker 2>done in you know, historically, that means we should just
<v Speaker 2>get into the World Series this year, like we shouldn't
<v Speaker 2>have to qualify, we shouldn't have to play for it.
<v Speaker 2>We should just be able to go in because look
<v Speaker 2>what we did before. That's essentially John Cena's logic. And
<v Speaker 2>if it's supposed to be a heel turn, then I
<v Speaker 2>guess this is a great way to enter it. If
<v Speaker 2>it's not. If this is just John Cena being a
<v Speaker 2>babyface John Cena, which you guys know how I feel
<v Speaker 2>about that when he's trying to be humorous is just
<v Speaker 2>extremely off putting. But if he's being serious and not
<v Speaker 2>trying to turn heel, this logic is completely unfounded, completely unfounded.
<v Speaker 2>You're overstepping everyone that has been here competing while you
<v Speaker 2>haven't been and you certainly did your time and are
<v Speaker 2>one of the greatest of all time, but that doesn't
<v Speaker 2>just give you a haul pass to overstep everyone that's
<v Speaker 2>here right now. It doesn't. You still have to earn it,
<v Speaker 2>but John Cena doesn't, and I guess we're all supposed
<v Speaker 2>to just accept it, all right, So then we have
<v Speaker 2>Penta versus Ludwig Kaiser, and this match went just under
<v Speaker 2>ten minutes, and Penta ends up beating Ludwig Kaiser, who
<v Speaker 2>is on a downward spiral. I was really excited when
<v Speaker 2>he was in that program with Seamus and attacking Seamus
<v Speaker 2>and looking dominant and getting advice from Gunther, and that
<v Speaker 2>separation looked like they were gonna give him some kind
<v Speaker 2>of push after the fact after they broke up and
<v Speaker 2>they went their separate ways. But that's not the case here.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, look at what they did with Kaiser at
<v Speaker 2>the Rumble, almost a record elimination time, and then they
<v Speaker 2>have him lose, not in a squash match, but decisively
<v Speaker 2>to Penta, who they are pushing essentially right now to
<v Speaker 2>the moon. I'm not against that, you know. Let's just
<v Speaker 2>let's see what we got. Let's see if the crowd
<v Speaker 2>continues to stick with them. Penta is very good in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, obviously, so after the match, though, Jackie Redman
<v Speaker 2>entered the ring ass Penta. What comes next to got
<v Speaker 2>in no words pretty much, and then Pete Dunn comes
<v Speaker 2>out to interrupt Penta. Kaiser then took advantage and just
<v Speaker 2>started to attack Penta from behind and exited the ring
<v Speaker 2>and that was that. So kais are getting a little
<v Speaker 2>bit of heat back, but they need to do something
<v Speaker 2>with him that is a little bit more solid because
<v Speaker 2>right now everything that he does is not working. And
<v Speaker 2>I think there's way more to Kais than we're seeing.
<v Speaker 2>So a little bit of concern for Kaiser, who is
<v Speaker 2>just on a I know he's on. I'm not saying
<v Speaker 2>he's gonna get fired because look, they're still using him
<v Speaker 2>on TV regularly. That's the most important thing. If you're
<v Speaker 2>concerned about, you know, potentially w canning him. They're not
<v Speaker 2>doing that. But there's more to Kaiser, and I have
<v Speaker 2>not been encouraged over the last month or two. So
<v Speaker 2>Cole then recapped the j D McDonough injury and noted
<v Speaker 2>that he suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung. And
<v Speaker 2>so Balor entered the Judgment Day Clubhouse and said that
<v Speaker 2>things fell apart while he was gone for the last
<v Speaker 2>two weeks, and he took issue with Dominic mysterials stealing
<v Speaker 2>his tag team partner, stealing for stealing his tag Tea
<v Speaker 2>partner last week, and Live Morgan stepped up and said
<v Speaker 2>dom had to take Balor's spot in the World Tag
<v Speaker 2>Title match, or Adam Pierce would have given the title
<v Speaker 2>shot to another team. Baler's still upset. Carlado shut up
<v Speaker 2>for a moment after Morgan and macal Rodriguez exited. So
<v Speaker 2>then he gets Charlotte Flair and she stood in the
<v Speaker 2>ring and said high Cleveland, and the fans booed her,
<v Speaker 2>and she, you know, she said, the fans booing her
<v Speaker 2>a year and a half ago would have bothered her,
<v Speaker 2>but she's missed the fans, whether they boo or cheer her.
<v Speaker 2>And she thought she was unbreakable. She said, she thought
<v Speaker 2>she was, but last year sucked and it broke her
<v Speaker 2>mentally and physically. She said there was a point last
<v Speaker 2>year when she didn't know if he knee was going
<v Speaker 2>to get better, or if she'd make it to WrestleMania
<v Speaker 2>or Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. And she said she would
<v Speaker 2>embrace the booze because she still loves all the fans
<v Speaker 2>and she is the greatest WW superstar in the industry
<v Speaker 2>booming now. She said, this is her passion and what
<v Speaker 2>she wants to and she wants to be the very
<v Speaker 2>best at it. Okay, before Rio Ripley comes out, let
<v Speaker 2>me just talk about this. There's a lot of sympathy
<v Speaker 2>going around for Charlotte Flair right now that she got booed,
<v Speaker 2>she came back, she's trying to have good you know,
<v Speaker 2>talk about her emotional return, her emotional year. And I
<v Speaker 2>don't have sympathy for Firstly, I still believe that WWE
<v Speaker 2>knows that Charlotte's gonna get booed. I mean, they can't
<v Speaker 2>not Tivioty Stratton is on a roll right now. The
<v Speaker 2>fans have organically got behind her. It doesn't matter how
<v Speaker 2>much time Charlotte Flair takes off. She could take off
<v Speaker 2>the next six years. If she comes back, the fans
<v Speaker 2>would boor they've got They just it's this hardwired response
<v Speaker 2>now to see Charlotte, where no matter how much time
<v Speaker 2>she takes off, you're exhausted by her. That's how much
<v Speaker 2>she has been in our faces for the last ten years.
<v Speaker 2>And that's not to say she was shoved down our
<v Speaker 2>throats all the time, but it felt like she was
<v Speaker 2>champion all the time, every day of every second we
<v Speaker 2>saw her on TV. Even I know that's not reality,
<v Speaker 2>but the perception is that, and perception is reality even
<v Speaker 2>if it's not on actual reality. Unfortunately, so and I
<v Speaker 2>feel the same way where it doesn't matter how much
<v Speaker 2>time Charlotte takes off. She took off nearly essentially two years,
<v Speaker 2>and we're already exhausted by her. It's incredible. Why because
<v Speaker 2>Charlotte has done everything there is to do and she could.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not saying she should be kicked out of the
<v Speaker 2>company or fired or you know, or or her matches
<v Speaker 2>aren't still good, or she's not still a star. All
<v Speaker 2>of those can be true at the same time that
<v Speaker 2>it's true that people are burned out of her even
<v Speaker 2>though it's been two years and you think, ah, well
<v Speaker 2>it's been a while. This is a rare exception. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know another star that's taken off this much time
<v Speaker 2>and you're already burned out of them five seconds in
<v Speaker 2>because they know it's coming now. Tiffany is likely going
<v Speaker 2>to retain at WrestleMania. That's the perception right now, or
<v Speaker 2>that's the general thinking that she's going to retain, But
<v Speaker 2>it's not a guarantee, and Charlotte could win and get
<v Speaker 2>massive heat. But I don't feel bad for Charlotte, even
<v Speaker 2>if there was a part of her or it was
<v Speaker 2>ww's intent to get her cheered, at least the fans
<v Speaker 2>would embrace her for a moment. I don't feel bad
<v Speaker 2>for her. Why she's a multimillionaire. Yes, she's gone through
<v Speaker 2>a divorce. It's final with Andrade, and yeah, a lot
<v Speaker 2>of people go through divorces. It's horrible. I understand that.
<v Speaker 2>But you were off for essentially two years, and you
<v Speaker 2>know she's blaming it on her knee. It's more like
<v Speaker 2>your knee looked fine two weeks in. Again, I'm not
<v Speaker 2>a doctor, but just using my eyeballs in common sense,
<v Speaker 2>I think the reason she wasn't here is your divorce,
<v Speaker 2>personal issues and your new face. Maybe that's a lot
<v Speaker 2>of recovery, a lot of time, a lot of money.
<v Speaker 2>She can blame it on her knee all she wants.
<v Speaker 2>It's like probably thirty percent of the reason. The other
<v Speaker 2>seventy percent is your face and your divorce, which I'm
<v Speaker 2>not blaming her for. She can do whatever she wants.
<v Speaker 2>I'm just calling a spade a spade. You know, I
<v Speaker 2>know many of you expecting, oh, she's gonna he's gonna
<v Speaker 2>talk about how ugly Charlotte is. For forty minutes. I never
<v Speaker 2>says she's ugly. She's not. She's still an attractive woman.
<v Speaker 2>It just I don't think plastic surgery. No matter how
<v Speaker 2>much money or how good you think, it looks, ever
<v Speaker 2>looks good no matter who you are, it always looks
<v Speaker 2>you can get it done by the top guy in
<v Speaker 2>the world, top woman in the world. It just looks.
<v Speaker 2>You go, yeah, that doesn't look right. You know. It
<v Speaker 2>doesn't mean it's ugly. It just goes yeah, something right. So, uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, the fear of aging in our society continues
<v Speaker 2>to accelerate as we just you know, aging is no
<v Speaker 2>longer viewed as a good thing. Yeah. Oh, you never
<v Speaker 2>ask a woman her age. Why with age comes wisdom
<v Speaker 2>age gracefully guys, And there's nothing wrong with it. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't care. She does whatever she wants. But I'm
<v Speaker 2>calling a spade a spade, and I think that's mostly
<v Speaker 2>the reason why she was out. So the fans rejected her,
<v Speaker 2>which is great, and she'll continue to I think it's
<v Speaker 2>going to continue it if she is going to play
<v Speaker 2>this heel character, and I think she should always be
<v Speaker 2>healed just like forever. This new version of her evolved
<v Speaker 2>where she's pretending that the fans love her and just
<v Speaker 2>kind of delusional. That's going to be a fun version
<v Speaker 2>of Charlotte if she if she just kind of leans
<v Speaker 2>into it and doesn't shy away from it, which I
<v Speaker 2>don't think they're going to all right, But it's good
<v Speaker 2>to see her, I mean, honestly, after all, it's good
<v Speaker 2>to see her in terms of star power, even though
<v Speaker 2>we're all burned out of her. It's a weird, weird feeling,
<v Speaker 2>all right. So Ria Ripley comes out and she comes
<v Speaker 2>to the ring and she says, hello, old friend, and
<v Speaker 2>Ripley said, your moment, yeah, but this is my show
<v Speaker 2>and said they have the possibility to go to war again,
<v Speaker 2>and said that when you got to go to war
<v Speaker 2>with someone, that's when you earn the respect the most,
<v Speaker 2>and she does respect Flair. And Ripley asked Flair to
<v Speaker 2>choose her and pointed out that she beat her the
<v Speaker 2>last time they met at WrestleMania. Flair recalled beating Ripley
<v Speaker 2>the first time they met at WrestleMania. Ripley said she
<v Speaker 2>was just a kid when Flair beat her, and Flair said,
<v Speaker 2>Ripley jumped the gun and wants answers, but she has
<v Speaker 2>nothing but time. Flair said she would go to NXT
<v Speaker 2>to see if Guglia Gee, that's how much I watch
<v Speaker 2>NXT would inspire her. But then and then she'll go
<v Speaker 2>to the back down to see if Tifty Stratton will
<v Speaker 2>inspire her. And Flair told Ripley that she's just a
<v Speaker 2>kid and said she'd see her next week. Ripley cut
<v Speaker 2>in front of Flair when she tried to leave, and
<v Speaker 2>Ripley said that Flair is just saying she's a kid,
<v Speaker 2>proves that she doesn't respect her the way that she
<v Speaker 2>respects Flair. She said, so pick me, please pick me,
<v Speaker 2>so I can beat the respect into you, and then
<v Speaker 2>she dropped her mic. Okay, I mean, I don't mind
<v Speaker 2>if Flair versus Ripley match up again, but I think
<v Speaker 2>and hope Bianca Belair versus Ripley instead of char Ripley,
<v Speaker 2>even though both performers wrestlers at this point have matured,
<v Speaker 2>especially Ripley, who's a totally different person from the last
<v Speaker 2>time that those two met at WrestleMania. But that's what
<v Speaker 2>I would do, Ripley, Bianca and Tiffany Charlotte. All Right,
<v Speaker 2>So we got a Sammy Zain interview backstage with Jackie Redmond,
<v Speaker 2>and that led to well the end of the show,
<v Speaker 2>but interesting ending, not an unpredictable ending, but one that's
<v Speaker 2>just great. Kevin Owens continues to just kill it, all right.
<v Speaker 2>So we then have New Day versus Xavier Woods End
<v Speaker 2>Mysterio and Dragon Lee, and there was an early New
<v Speaker 2>Day sucks chant after they had their promo talking about
<v Speaker 2>how they were just totally were disregarded from the Rumble.
<v Speaker 2>And when you think of the Rumble, you think of
<v Speaker 2>Covie Kingston. I mean, like literally nobody was talking about
<v Speaker 2>Kovie not being in the Rumble. But I have to
<v Speaker 2>say I thought they would be there only for the
<v Speaker 2>return of Big E to the ring. But I'm wrong there.
<v Speaker 2>I do believe that eventually we're going to get to
<v Speaker 2>Big Ee back in the ring. I just didn't think
<v Speaker 2>it would be this late. So this matchup ended in
<v Speaker 2>nine minutes with New Day beating Ray MASTERI and Dragonly.
<v Speaker 2>Thank God. New Day need a victory here. They need
<v Speaker 2>a victory and they need to get their momentum back,
<v Speaker 2>and this was a good way to start doing that.
<v Speaker 2>After Kingston hits trouble in Paradise on Ray got the victory.
<v Speaker 2>That's exactly the right scenario, all right. If we then
<v Speaker 2>continue here with Cole saying he received a text from
<v Speaker 2>Terry a trainer Larry Heck, who told him there was
<v Speaker 2>no official update on Rains because they could only share
<v Speaker 2>whatever Rains would allow them to share, and that he
<v Speaker 2>said it looks like Rains will be sidelined for the
<v Speaker 2>foreseeable future. Punk was backstage and he apologized to Zayne
<v Speaker 2>fans because they said he would be advancing to Elimination
<v Speaker 2>Chamber for the match later in the night. And then
<v Speaker 2>we had a more footage air from the Rumble of
<v Speaker 2>Cole opening a pack of w W cards. Who cares? Okay,
<v Speaker 2>So we continue on to a little bit more interesting here.
<v Speaker 2>Eo Sky versus Live Morgan. This is an Elimination Chamber
<v Speaker 2>qualifying match. This one lasted twelve minutes and fifteen seconds.
<v Speaker 2>Really gonna. I enjoyed this match more than I thought
<v Speaker 2>I would. I mean, and yes, Eo Sky is every
<v Speaker 2>time she gets in the ring, it's like she's better
<v Speaker 2>than you remember. Yeah, her promos aren't as good as
<v Speaker 2>they could be because of the barrier language barrier, but
<v Speaker 2>there's ways around that. You've seen with shinskin A Kamara,
<v Speaker 2>but also Live Morgan did her piece here too. She
<v Speaker 2>did her part, and this match ended with Live Morgan
<v Speaker 2>winning only because Riea Ripley comes out. She attacks Raquel Rodriguez.
<v Speaker 2>Then out of just pure reactionary you know, or a
<v Speaker 2>pure reaction just drops Rogercuez to the head butt and
<v Speaker 2>then hits Morgan who reached the ropes to grab her,
<v Speaker 2>and the referee saw it and called for the bell.
<v Speaker 2>So Ree Ripley inadvertently causes the disqualification to while I'll
<v Speaker 2>allow Live Morgan to advance. Now, those of you who
<v Speaker 2>are EO Sky fans, I'm one of them, I wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>get too discouraged by this loss if you still want
<v Speaker 2>to see her in the chamber. And the reason is
<v Speaker 2>sometimes they do a second chance matchup for the losers
<v Speaker 2>of all of these matches to compete in the final
<v Speaker 2>match to determine who the fifth or sixth and final
<v Speaker 2>competitor is. So if they have that, I could see
<v Speaker 2>Oosky being involved. I don't know how you have an
<v Speaker 2>elimination chamber match with that Eosky. She's built for a
<v Speaker 2>match like that and she's so damn good. So there
<v Speaker 2>is that if you're a little discouraged, but Live Morgan
<v Speaker 2>in advancing Fine, yeah live Morgan needs to get back
<v Speaker 2>on the horse two after losing her World championship to
<v Speaker 2>rear Ripley. All right, we continue and we have a
<v Speaker 2>lot of backstage stuff with the war Raiders, with the
<v Speaker 2>American Maid, and then we have Seth Rollins come out
<v Speaker 2>in non wrestling attire. But he had a black cowboy
<v Speaker 2>hat and a black trench coat. What I you know, Seth,
<v Speaker 2>please turn heel And maybe that was a sign that
<v Speaker 2>he's going to turn heel because heels are steals traditionally
<v Speaker 2>do wear black. So perhaps that was a indication of
<v Speaker 2>where things are going for Seth. And the reaction for
<v Speaker 2>Seth was a little more muted and a little bit
<v Speaker 2>more negative than normal because of what he did to
<v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns and the fact that we're kind of burned
<v Speaker 2>out of the Seth Rowlinds babyface character. But it also
<v Speaker 2>could have just been simply his wackadoo outfits that he
<v Speaker 2>continues to wear every week. And I was thinking about
<v Speaker 2>this for the two K twenty five video game. Imagine
<v Speaker 2>if they actually had alternative tires for everyone that was
<v Speaker 2>in the uh you know, in the game, they would
<v Speaker 2>spend six months just creating Seth Rollins's alternate atires. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>there'd be like one hundred and forty of them. But
<v Speaker 2>all right, so the transfer windows closed, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>I guess that was kind of announced because backstage, Adam
<v Speaker 2>Pierce informed Kathy Kelly that the window transfer window has
<v Speaker 2>closed over the weekend, but he was able to get
<v Speaker 2>one final deal deal done and announced that Aj Styles
<v Speaker 2>is the newest member of the Raw roster. So cool,
<v Speaker 2>AJ's part of Raw sounds good to me. And then
<v Speaker 2>Bron Breaker shows up and asks Pierce if he likes Styles,
<v Speaker 2>and Pierce said everyone likes him. Breaker told Pierce to
<v Speaker 2>do Styles a favor by keeping him away Styles away
<v Speaker 2>from him. Breaker questioned what was next for the IC
<v Speaker 2>Championship and said it doesn't seem like it's been all
<v Speaker 2>important to Pierce lately, and Pierce said Breaker knows how
<v Speaker 2>much he respects Breaker and the title, and Breaker said
<v Speaker 2>they should go talk business till the transfer window, of
<v Speaker 2>which it was insanely ambiguous to begin with, has now
<v Speaker 2>officially kind of closed. I guess it's been weird, and
<v Speaker 2>I've it it's purposefully ambiguous and weird so they can
<v Speaker 2>manipulate it and not tie themselves to a certain date.
<v Speaker 2>And I know some of you said, oh, well, you know,
<v Speaker 2>well the Rumble was supposed to be the end date.
<v Speaker 2>Well I don't remember that ever being officially announced. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>I've missed it along the way. But it's over apparently.
<v Speaker 2>But that's not gonna matter because we'll have people show
<v Speaker 2>up on other shows that shouldn't be there anyway, which
<v Speaker 2>has been happening all along. So South Rollins came of
<v Speaker 2>the ring, spoke about jay Us winning the Rumble match,
<v Speaker 2>said he's proud of jay and loves seeing people get
<v Speaker 2>what they deserve, and then said that that brings him
<v Speaker 2>to Punk. Rollin's called Punk a scumbag, a piece of
<v Speaker 2>trash and took the light in Punk failing to win
<v Speaker 2>the Rumble. He mentioned Roman. Rollins said Rains, W W
<v Speaker 2>E and Paul Hayman wouldn't tell the fans, but he
<v Speaker 2>would tell the fans truth because he's the one who
<v Speaker 2>hurt Rains. He said the fans could blame him, but
<v Speaker 2>Rains has hurt his friends and family for the last
<v Speaker 2>four years. Rain said they love to talk about limited schedules,
<v Speaker 2>so he thinks Rains is he did Rains a favor.
<v Speaker 2>He spoke about how it hurt that he didn't win
<v Speaker 2>the rumble. He said that's in the past and there
<v Speaker 2>was a number of different paths to WrestleMania. He called
<v Speaker 2>out Sammy Zain who made his entrance and said Zain's
<v Speaker 2>immediate future is Punk. Rollins said everyone knows he hates Punk,
<v Speaker 2>but what the world doesn't know is that Zayn hates
<v Speaker 2>him too, and Rollins reminded Zayn that Punk claimed that
<v Speaker 2>Zayin isn't on his level. He told Zaye that WrestleMania
<v Speaker 2>he is a WrestleMania Maine inventor, which was true. He
<v Speaker 2>made invented in the first night was at Night one
<v Speaker 2>of the WrestleMania thirty nine when they took the tag
<v Speaker 2>titles from the ussos. But punklock the eyes with Rollins.
<v Speaker 2>The other Punk comes out and he locked eyes with
<v Speaker 2>Rollins and then both men started to move toward one
<v Speaker 2>another to referees intervened and that was that. So see them.
<v Speaker 2>Punk takes on Sammy zay here in an elimination Chamber
<v Speaker 2>qualifying match. This was good, really good fifteen minutes. We
<v Speaker 2>had as imagined as you imagine, a lot of back
<v Speaker 2>and forth with the we had the anacon device. Zane
<v Speaker 2>eventually reached to the bottom rope with his foot break
<v Speaker 2>the submission. Punk hit Zaye with a couple of knee
<v Speaker 2>strikes and Punk scooped up Zaye for a GTS, but
<v Speaker 2>Zaane continued to counter the GTS, which was a nice touch.
<v Speaker 2>It wasn't just one attempt and then you know, you
<v Speaker 2>you on the second attempt you get it. It was,
<v Speaker 2>you know, multiple attempts, three or four times it took
<v Speaker 2>before Sane was finally caught in the GTS. Also, the GTS,
<v Speaker 2>has anyone ever kicked out of that? Or should I
<v Speaker 2>say as of late, because I'm sure that yeah, people
<v Speaker 2>have kicked out of it. But the GTS seems to
<v Speaker 2>be a little bit more of a protected finish, which
<v Speaker 2>is good. I think all finishes should be, but this
<v Speaker 2>is one that actually sometimes adheres to protecting the finish.
<v Speaker 2>But this ended with Punk going for another GTS or
<v Speaker 2>going forward again that Zaane avoided. He hit a blue
<v Speaker 2>thunder bomb and then Zane charged Punk for halluva kick
<v Speaker 2>Punk cottomn hit, the GTS, got the victory, and there
<v Speaker 2>was a lot of by the way, a lot of
<v Speaker 2>feed issues, a lot of Netflix issues, technical issues that
<v Speaker 2>people were having. I experienced it a little bit. I
<v Speaker 2>know a lot of people were complaining about the glitching
<v Speaker 2>and the frame rate and all that. Here we go
<v Speaker 2>streaming problems. I mean, I'm sure Netflix will clear it
<v Speaker 2>up in the fall, in the weeks to come, but
<v Speaker 2>this is one of the drawbacks. So we all saw
<v Speaker 2>coming streaming problems. So not blaming or complaining on anything
<v Speaker 2>or to anyone, but it's just a reality that we're
<v Speaker 2>gonna continue to have this from now, from like probably
<v Speaker 2>now until forever. So all right. So Punk looked u
<v Speaker 2>at the WrestleMania graphic and listed him and John Cena
<v Speaker 2>as the Elimination Chamber match entrance and offered zanea handshake.
<v Speaker 2>Zaane accepted well. Cole showed that Punk acknowledged Zaine is
<v Speaker 2>on his level. And then Kevin Owens enters the ring
<v Speaker 2>wearing a Sammy Zaine Forever shirt. But as he does that,
<v Speaker 2>he hit Zaye from behind and Zane gets the package
<v Speaker 2>pile driver a big one and their producer credits where
<v Speaker 2>you know, we're shown to end the show. Damn again.
<v Speaker 2>Near fall, really good near falls on this match, But
<v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens continues, and you saw this coming. Was Zaane
<v Speaker 2>not screwing Kevin, but by I guess his inaction was
<v Speaker 2>an action by not helping Kevin win the championship from
<v Speaker 2>Cody Roads and then shaking the hand of his one
<v Speaker 2>of his enemies of Sampunk. That to me is gonna
<v Speaker 2>be Kevin's justification and we're gonna get a Samy's A
<v Speaker 2>and Kevin Owens match. About WrestleMania, I think I think
<v Speaker 2>you could have them elimination chamber. You could Zane's out
<v Speaker 2>out of the chamber unless there's a second chance for
<v Speaker 2>him to get in. But if there's not, then it's
<v Speaker 2>probably Zaane and Owens. Who Owens looked beat up man
<v Speaker 2>boy boy, Oh boy, what a match, what a match
<v Speaker 2>He and h Cody Rooades had it during the Royal Rubble.
<v Speaker 2>But sam He's in and Kevin Owens. You saw this
<v Speaker 2>come in a little bit. If you've been watching the
<v Speaker 2>rivalry of Sammy's ain and the friendship of them, back
<v Speaker 2>and forth and back and forth and forth and back.
<v Speaker 2>This is nothing new, but it's the latest turn from
<v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens. Someone should count them up, these two. If
<v Speaker 2>they put on a WrestleMania match should get twenty five minutes.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, these two could absolutely tear the house down,
<v Speaker 2>and they've done it before. They've done this before, not
<v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania, but anytime they're in the ring. And that's
<v Speaker 2>probably what they realize is these two don't have a
<v Speaker 2>championship match at WrestleMania. There's no real big plans. Let's
<v Speaker 2>put him together knowing that they can have one of
<v Speaker 2>the best matchups on the card. This is all about
<v Speaker 2>personal rivalry. The promos will be good. What they can
<v Speaker 2>bring to this version of the rivalry is really what
<v Speaker 2>I'll be looking for because we've seen countless turns on
<v Speaker 2>Kevin to Sammy in years past. But what can they
<v Speaker 2>bring this time around. What's the difference between this turn
<v Speaker 2>and all the others? They need to differentiate that other
<v Speaker 2>than just his generic standard. I turned on you because
<v Speaker 2>I'm a bad guy now. But Kevin Owens being the
<v Speaker 2>delusional Kevin Owens is the best version of Kevin Owens.
<v Speaker 2>He is I would argue been the MVP of twenty
<v Speaker 2>twenty five thus far. Kevin Owens, you know he is
<v Speaker 2>zero to ten I think is the stat in his
<v Speaker 2>last ten attempts for trying to compete for a world championship,
<v Speaker 2>whether it's Universal or WW whatever. He's zero for ten
<v Speaker 2>and he hasn't been held a single championship. And I
<v Speaker 2>think they said seven or eight years, that's impossible. I
<v Speaker 2>believe it. But when you put those numbers in your
<v Speaker 2>face and you hear them, you're just like a guy
<v Speaker 2>like this, how he's incredible on the microphone? He okay, fine,
<v Speaker 2>he's got a beer gut. Who cares? Maybe that was
<v Speaker 2>probably a lot of the reason why Vince didn't, you know,
<v Speaker 2>put him to the top of the card, is because
<v Speaker 2>of his physical appearance. But to Vince's credit, he put
<v Speaker 2>him in a lot of prominent championship matches with Roman reigns.
<v Speaker 2>If you remember, they had like three or four straight
<v Speaker 2>pl matches, some of them during the pandemic era, and
<v Speaker 2>a lot of them excellent matches. But he's constantly in
<v Speaker 2>a position where the timing just never feels right, given
<v Speaker 2>who they're probably lining up for, the current champion, where
<v Speaker 2>his story's going, the time of year, never seeming to
<v Speaker 2>aligne or the champion just winning the belts. You know
<v Speaker 2>they're not going to drop it. Kevin owns a lot
<v Speaker 2>of it is timing or has been timing. I think
<v Speaker 2>as to why he hasn't won because other storylines take
<v Speaker 2>precedence over what they're doing with him. Some of it,
<v Speaker 2>I think to Vince was probably his physical appearance, some
<v Speaker 2>not all some, But I hope in twenty twenty five
<v Speaker 2>they can actually give Kevin not just the US or
<v Speaker 2>Inner Continental, but a world championship, either the raw side
<v Speaker 2>of things or on the SmackDown side of things. He gosh,
<v Speaker 2>dang needs it. He deserves it. Is actually more like
<v Speaker 2>he doesn't need it. He's highly successful at a top
<v Speaker 2>top level right now without it. But I think him
<v Speaker 2>as a heel champion, being this version of a heel champion,
<v Speaker 2>whatever this is, is what we need. This has been
<v Speaker 2>a very fun evolution over the last six months to
<v Speaker 2>see what heels have done. Drew McIntyre evolving into this
<v Speaker 2>truth telling heel, Charlotte Flaerrick becoming kind of a delusional
<v Speaker 2>leaning into the heel you still love me type of
<v Speaker 2>deal you have now Kevin Owens in this frustrated also
<v Speaker 2>delusional version of himself that snaps at any moment. This
<v Speaker 2>has been a fun evolution. It's not just your standard
<v Speaker 2>run of the mill cookie cutter type of heels, So
<v Speaker 2>it's been fun. They've done a nice job with the
<v Speaker 2>heels over the last six to twelve months. So we'll
<v Speaker 2>see what Seth can do if he also joins the Fray,
<v Speaker 2>and I hope he does. They need him and he
<v Speaker 2>needs to turn badly, and I think he'll be the
<v Speaker 2>heel going into WrestleMania if he faces Roman Reigns. So overall,
<v Speaker 2>I enjoyed RAW. I did. I thought it was a
<v Speaker 2>very a Raw that started to set the table for
<v Speaker 2>Elimination Chamber that is coming to us on March first.
<v Speaker 2>It was a show that progressed a lot of storylines,
<v Speaker 2>started new ones, teased some didn't give us all the
<v Speaker 2>answers with who the royal rumble Winns are gonna pick
<v Speaker 2>him though we all know. But this is what Raw
<v Speaker 2>should be on a weekly basis. This is just It
<v Speaker 2>was a quality show, didn't blow me away, wasn't horrible,
<v Speaker 2>just was quality. And that's my take on this week's
<v Speaker 2>I give it a B plus. It did a lot
<v Speaker 2>of a lot of things right without of course, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I spent a lot of time on the things that
<v Speaker 2>annoying me, but that's just my personality lover aid it
<v Speaker 2>so well, that'll do it here for the Monday Night

<v Speaker 2>happened at LA Airport or where a, Chicago, wherever it was,
<v Speaker 2>and obviously the American Airlines collision with the Blackhawk jet
