Flyers Daily with Jason Myrtetus: Brian Smith fills in for Jason Myrtetus as the club absorbs another tough setback with a 4-1 loss to Winnipeg. We’re joined by Andy Abramson, the public relations manager for the Philadelphia Wings in the 1970s, and he brings some great stories about the May 19, 1974 Stanley Cup win that was followed by a Wings lacrosse game in the evening. Andy was also involved in the startup for quite a few youth hockey events that still exist today, such as the Flyers Cup, the Pepsi Shootout, Mites on Ice and more, and tells a bit about how those all came about due to grass roots efforts by the organization in the 1980s. We also touch on plans for Friday’s trade deadline.
