<v Speaker 1>He'll be bad. It's the Internet. You're busy. Let's do
<v Speaker 1>this for October eighteenth to twenty twenty four. For the
<v Speaker 1>next hour or so, let me help you sort through
<v Speaker 1>the world of gaming on Game Mess Mornings Live with
<v Speaker 1>me Jeff Grubb. Today, the Pirate Yakuza is going to
<v Speaker 1>Hawaii a week a week early, and Banjo's back on switch.
<v Speaker 1>But first please join me and welcoming today's co host
<v Speaker 1>the Game Mess Mornings.
<v Speaker 2>It's to more who say damn truly the lamest of stories,
<v Speaker 2>the most boring stories, because today is dregs days.
<v Speaker 1>I really struggled to put this doc together. Wasn't a
<v Speaker 1>lot out there?
<v Speaker 2>When when Banjo kazui is on your list of these stories,
<v Speaker 2>Banjo you know, please okay? Banjo touey, you know that
<v Speaker 2>shit is really really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
<v Speaker 2>And listen. I like banjo KAZOOI, Banjo tuey banjo. You know,
<v Speaker 2>banjo notts, some bolts, alana pierces dog, banjo the instrument banjo.
<v Speaker 2>I love all kinds of banjos.
<v Speaker 1>Crossing you run the game with banjos.
<v Speaker 2>I don't give a show about no banjo stories.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean really, it's like maybe notable, because what's
<v Speaker 1>not coming to the N sixty four from rare like
<v Speaker 1>more rare games on whatever? In sixty four switch online, Damn,
<v Speaker 1>I want to talk. I'm tired.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, I'm tis the tis the morning after Mario Party.
<v Speaker 2>Jeff grub is tired. I watched a little bit of it,
<v Speaker 2>and I was like, truly, this is the most annoying
<v Speaker 2>video game ever created.
<v Speaker 1>It's rough, man, It's it's it's frustrated because like like
<v Speaker 1>we're somewhere we're talking about like, hey, is the game?
<v Speaker 1>Do you like this game? They asked me if I
<v Speaker 1>like the game, and I'm like no, Like most of
<v Speaker 1>the time I'm not doing anything and and uh, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>you guys are entertaining, that's fine. But and then when
<v Speaker 1>I am doing stuff half the time, these mini games
<v Speaker 1>suck and they are that's nothing.
<v Speaker 2>About Mario Party. Like if you if you've removed that,
<v Speaker 2>if it was the exact same game every time and
<v Speaker 2>you remove the Mario part of it, yeah, it is
<v Speaker 2>a straight up two of ten games.
<v Speaker 1>We did the the Anime Party, and we discovered that
<v Speaker 1>for ourselves. But but then the defense that both Mike
<v Speaker 1>and Dan has what had We're well, we can entertain ourselves.
<v Speaker 1>So when we're not having fun with the game, we're
<v Speaker 1>just entertaining ourselves. And so the game is good, why
<v Speaker 1>even play the games? Go stand in front of a
<v Speaker 1>mirror that right, fucking just go yeah, what is what
<v Speaker 1>is that to do with anything? What are you talking about?
<v Speaker 2>You could apply that to anything, ship movie, entertain myself,
<v Speaker 2>you know, anything bad meal, Well, I can entertain myself.
<v Speaker 1>So I think that really just really explains what happened
<v Speaker 1>last night in terms of that game. Now and now
<v Speaker 1>I did almost win. That would have been fun.
<v Speaker 2>But that would have been fun. That would have been
<v Speaker 2>That would have been unfortunately. Am I right in saying
<v Speaker 2>Dan one again?
<v Speaker 1>You'll have to watch to find out. But I'm not
<v Speaker 1>happy for the results. Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I feel like if he was. If he was,
<v Speaker 2>I feel like if he was asked at the game
<v Speaker 2>and never won, it would be a whole different story.
<v Speaker 1>Oh for sure. Now, I mean I think he does
<v Speaker 1>enjoy the process of making other people miserable, looking and
<v Speaker 1>like and all the bullshit that's happening, and him going
<v Speaker 1>like every ten minutes because something happened that annoyed somebody
<v Speaker 1>he enjoys all that, but yeah, if he never won
<v Speaker 1>for sure, although he had one in a while.
<v Speaker 2>I remember when we did the Bomathon and I played
<v Speaker 2>him at Soul Caliber. I remember looking over at him
<v Speaker 2>and I had like my controls were absolutely buggered. It was.
<v Speaker 2>I remember, I remember looking at him and just watching
<v Speaker 2>him as I thoroughly dismantled him a Soul Caliber. Oh
<v Speaker 2>really it was. And it was like, so this is
<v Speaker 2>what it's like for.
<v Speaker 1>I must have been doing for those six I don't
<v Speaker 1>remember watching. I feel like I wouldn't have made note
<v Speaker 1>of that.
<v Speaker 2>Genuinely. It did not last long because the immediately came
<v Speaker 2>the control It was so false. It was like someone
<v Speaker 2>else who's the next one was to play.
<v Speaker 1>I was probably outside in a gizmos suit getting run
<v Speaker 1>over by taxi. So yeah, that's probably there for me.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's explain what we do here most weekdays, I,
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Greb, will help piece your gaming life back together.
<v Speaker 1>That includes breaking news and maybe even some of our
<v Speaker 1>own original reporting. For all these topics, I'll get the
<v Speaker 1>input of a bona fide expert who will make me
<v Speaker 1>look smart. If you were watching live on twitch, welcome,
<v Speaker 1>you can always listen to the show later on podcast
<v Speaker 1>feeds by searching for Game Mess Mornings, or find the
<v Speaker 1>RSS on giant bomb dot com. You can also catch
<v Speaker 1>the show later with chapters and timestamps on YouTube. Hello YouTube.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have a lot to get into, so
<v Speaker 1>let's start the Morning Mess with everything announced at Microsoft's
<v Speaker 1>Xbox Partner preview. This is from Nicole Carbenter at Polygon.
<v Speaker 1>They had a they had one of them Nintendo directorripoffs,
<v Speaker 1>and then they did.
<v Speaker 2>An alright job they had they had t Moon Nintendo Direct.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, right, we got we got it on the cheap everybody.
<v Speaker 1>It was woot. It was on sale and we'll accept
<v Speaker 1>it whatever. I'm not gonna, you know, say no to
<v Speaker 1>a bargain. It was twenty five minutes. They had a
<v Speaker 1>you know, partner preview. So it's external games, not their
<v Speaker 1>you know, not first party games, third party games stuff
<v Speaker 1>that they might have some relationship with, some games that
<v Speaker 1>might be on Game Pass. But there were some games
<v Speaker 1>that looked really good, especially the upcoming Allen Wake two DLC,
<v Speaker 1>The Lake House, which kicked things off. That's coming out
<v Speaker 1>October twenty second, that's out next week, Like first thing
<v Speaker 1>next week. We're going to be playing this thing, and
<v Speaker 1>it looked pretty promising in terms of, oh man, they're
<v Speaker 1>bringing in the control stuff just the way people always
<v Speaker 1>want them to. Obviously they've had a lot of that
<v Speaker 1>kind of crossover so far, but this looked like maybe
<v Speaker 1>the most of it so far. And I was impressed
<v Speaker 1>with what I saw. How about you?
<v Speaker 2>Uh, Yeah, I enjoyed it. There were a bunch of
<v Speaker 2>games in there that I was like, oh, this looks cool.
<v Speaker 2>Some of the known quantities were obviously exciting, like Alan
<v Speaker 2>Wig two and Like a Dragon that was like cool,
<v Speaker 2>But there was also a couple of small surprises like
<v Speaker 2>subnat a cur too. I didn't expect to see that here.
<v Speaker 2>And then obviously FBC Firebreak was the big one for
<v Speaker 2>me as a remedy superfan and lover of control, I
<v Speaker 2>was excited to see that. But yeah, it felt a
<v Speaker 2>little It felt quite lean. It felt like no frills
<v Speaker 2>in the presentation. It didn't feel like they knew they
<v Speaker 2>didn't have a lot and were trying to stretch it
<v Speaker 2>out and present it as something bigger than it actually is.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Good point.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And I feel like that's a mistake Xbox has
<v Speaker 2>made multiple times in the past and in the past
<v Speaker 2>when that happens is what happens has been has led
<v Speaker 2>to a conversation about it where people would then reflect
<v Speaker 2>on it for days and days at a time and
<v Speaker 2>be like, look, they had nothing and they stretched it out,
<v Speaker 2>what is it means buy Xbox? This time they just
<v Speaker 2>stayed out of the way. A bunch of trailers got
<v Speaker 2>the hell out of the way. People are like okay,
<v Speaker 2>or they were like they don't enjoy that, and they
<v Speaker 2>moved on with their lives.
<v Speaker 1>Exactly. It wasn't like I feel like that's a big
<v Speaker 1>big to do, right, Yeah, So it's like they just like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you're curious about more games if you are, show up
<v Speaker 1>for this, and then we're going to get in and
<v Speaker 1>get out real fast. Yeah. And then I thought the
<v Speaker 1>trailers themselves were pretty solid with that Cay at that
<v Speaker 1>sort of expectation level in mind.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, exactly. I feel like as overall as an event
<v Speaker 2>and extreme successful, just enough there to get excited about
<v Speaker 2>and a couple of new things that are unexpected. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>this is as good as you're going to get at
<v Speaker 2>this time of the year for a company that you
<v Speaker 2>know is in the situation or position that Xbox is.
<v Speaker 1>In right, They're not trying to do something that's going
<v Speaker 1>to be their their massive E three equivalent event. Honestly, Microsoft,
<v Speaker 1>if they want, they like, and they're not going to
<v Speaker 1>do that with their own games either. If they have
<v Speaker 1>stuff like that, they'll take it to the Game Awards.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they can get in there probably at it,
<v Speaker 1>if not for free, because Keiley wants the big games
<v Speaker 1>in there as well, like you know, at a pretty
<v Speaker 1>steep discount. And that's where ninety million people are going
<v Speaker 1>to bring their eyeballs. And you could just do that
<v Speaker 1>there and then you know, prepare for next year's kind
<v Speaker 1>of a summer game fest stuff and have something ready
<v Speaker 1>for then. So and then then at the same time,
<v Speaker 1>providing a little silo for these partners to be in,
<v Speaker 1>you know, marketing obligations, helping out third parties on your platform.
<v Speaker 1>This is a decent way of doing that. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they had a fair number of people watching. Wasn't like
<v Speaker 1>huge like some of these things get, you know, on
<v Speaker 1>their own, just two hundred thousand people watching. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think it was even that many, but they did all right.
<v Speaker 1>Kronos was one of those new games. This one's from
<v Speaker 1>Bluebird Team, you know, the team that just got done
<v Speaker 1>with Silent Hill too. This is their next new horror game.
<v Speaker 1>It is it was hard to like understand exactly what
<v Speaker 1>was like the game, but there was an old lady
<v Speaker 1>and a big brother from BioShock playing chess against one another,
<v Speaker 1>and then as they were playing chess, it seemed like
<v Speaker 1>there was corresponding violence happening in another room. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>It looks stimulating, it looks interesting, and I'm at a
<v Speaker 1>point now where I wonder, you know, I'm I show
<v Speaker 1>up for the horror games and I let that community
<v Speaker 1>sort of like guide me. Tom, Like, hey, just tell
<v Speaker 1>me what the good stuff is. I'll go play it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm kind of a coward, but I trust you. I
<v Speaker 1>feel like I'm interested to see how they suss out
<v Speaker 1>Bluebird Team going forward from Silent Hill to remake, where
<v Speaker 1>it's like, you know, the assessment of them seems more
<v Speaker 1>positive than ever, and then maybe that carries over into this.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, what do you think.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's a dangerous game to play because obviously
<v Speaker 2>this is two different teams, right, like uh huh. At
<v Speaker 2>the very least, and having the expectation that the quality
<v Speaker 2>of one team definitely translates over to the quality of
<v Speaker 2>another team is a tricky thing to balance when you know,
<v Speaker 2>Blueball hasn't been old bangers, you know what I mean.
<v Speaker 2>Like if in a studio like I don't know, Atlas
<v Speaker 2>or Promsoft or even Capcom these days, you see one
<v Speaker 2>Capcom game and if your assumption is the next Capcom
<v Speaker 2>game is gonna probably be good, generally, you're probably right
<v Speaker 2>doing the same for a studio that has more ups
<v Speaker 2>and downs. And I think I've liked more Blueber games
<v Speaker 2>than I've not liked relative to other people. In comparison
<v Speaker 2>to people, that can be a tricky thing to do. However,
<v Speaker 2>they could very well pull it off, like they are
<v Speaker 2>a very very talented team. Even when people don't like
<v Speaker 2>the stuff they're doing, it seems more divisive than bad,
<v Speaker 2>which is, you know, I think, a much better position
<v Speaker 2>to be in and from. Although we didn't see any gameplay,
<v Speaker 2>at the very least, Blueber takes big swings, which is
<v Speaker 2>something I'll always respect them for. They do some wacky
<v Speaker 2>shit all the time. If they were doing like boring
<v Speaker 2>stuff and biff in it, that'll be one thing, but
<v Speaker 2>that's not really how they are, so I'm excited to
<v Speaker 2>see what this thing is, what is going to be
<v Speaker 2>the conceit of this and what is going to be
<v Speaker 2>the unique angle on this And I, as always will
<v Speaker 2>give the game another game on their next game another shot,
<v Speaker 2>and even more so now that you know Silent Hill
<v Speaker 2>has proven itself to be so good. However, I'm not
<v Speaker 2>going in with the expectation that because Silent Hill was
<v Speaker 2>so good, the next game that they're gonna make is
<v Speaker 2>definitely gonna be amazed. I feel like that's dangerous territory.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, I think you may be right. I think there's
<v Speaker 1>hope that hey, maybe they did show improvement Silent Hill too.
<v Speaker 1>Is that dude to the fact that they were working
<v Speaker 1>within guardrails because they had something that they were remaking,
<v Speaker 1>or had they learned lessons from the criticism they've perceived
<v Speaker 1>in the past. I'm willing at this moment to be
<v Speaker 1>like both could be true, and that stuff that one
<v Speaker 1>team could share with another, it could be coming from
<v Speaker 1>the top down and we're like, we're gonna implement these improvements,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, proof will be in the pudding. We'll
<v Speaker 1>see at the very least, the trailer sets up an
<v Speaker 1>interesting I don't know if that's the premise, but an
<v Speaker 1>interesting tone at the very least violent chess. Violent chess. Finally,
<v Speaker 1>we've been asking for it for a long time, they're delivering.
<v Speaker 1>The next one was a blind Fire. We're not gonna
<v Speaker 1>go game by game for all these, but if there's
<v Speaker 1>a handful of these that at the start I wanted
<v Speaker 1>to talk about, this one is like, okay, blind Fire.
<v Speaker 1>It is just a kind of interesting looking shooter. We're
<v Speaker 1>trying to like kind of place it ourselves when we
<v Speaker 1>first started watching it. During the during the talkover, how
<v Speaker 1>do you how do you feel about just like, like,
<v Speaker 1>when a new shooter like this gets announced these days,
<v Speaker 1>what do you think about its chances for finding an audience?
<v Speaker 2>I I honestly like these days, like I said, I
<v Speaker 2>feel like a shoot and needs to have They need
<v Speaker 2>to be way more unique and distinguish themselves in a major,
<v Speaker 2>major way. And I feel like blind Fire, in you know,
<v Speaker 2>a few years ago, would have been potentially in that
<v Speaker 2>category where it's like, oh, this kind of a futuristic
<v Speaker 2>shooter that has a weird like kind of Hunger Games,
<v Speaker 2>what's that? What's that movie where people are like competing
<v Speaker 2>for survival or whatever it may be. Blade not Blade
<v Speaker 2>Runner sposa movie, running running Man, running Man. Yeah, it's
<v Speaker 2>got like the running Man angle to it. And I
<v Speaker 2>guess in this one is everything is dark?
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I guess. So the unique elements here seem to
<v Speaker 1>be blind fire is you know, from according to Cole Carpenter,
<v Speaker 1>here a shooter that removes light and is in early
<v Speaker 1>access right now. So I guess we can go play
<v Speaker 1>this for ourselves. Uh it's uh, the idea is it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be dark, and you're gonna have different ways of
<v Speaker 1>seeing enemies. Occasionally the level might have a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>like black lights and then black light pain on the
<v Speaker 1>wall to add some cool accents. And then you could see,
<v Speaker 1>like as we're watching this trailer, uh, there is someone's
<v Speaker 1>flashlight and then you see the shadow of someone running
<v Speaker 1>in front of that flashlight. So it's gonna be like
<v Speaker 1>trying to spot people in a in all night maps.
<v Speaker 1>And then the other unique element is something that we
<v Speaker 1>were kind of confused by when we were watching this
<v Speaker 1>very you know, a realistic movement where it's like, uh,
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of heavy steps. So the camera, the
<v Speaker 1>camera Bob is very exaggerated, and that was like, is
<v Speaker 1>this real?
<v Speaker 2>Now?
<v Speaker 1>I've seen like there's a lot of games on Steam
<v Speaker 1>that are like a police cam footage shooter game and
<v Speaker 1>they really have that same kind of like walking aspect
<v Speaker 1>to it, of like the heavy camera Bob, And this
<v Speaker 1>looks like it's doing that as well. So that feels
<v Speaker 1>like it would get pretty highresome pretty quick.
<v Speaker 2>But yep, I'm think a lot of people feel really
<v Speaker 2>sick while they play, me being one of them. Uh
<v Speaker 2>huh I. I understand that it's an interesting idea, like
<v Speaker 2>you know, everything's dark, you have to you know, someone fires,
<v Speaker 2>they're gone. You need to quickly look at where it
<v Speaker 2>came from to see that kind of thing. As someone
<v Speaker 2>who also plays a decent amount of competitive shooters, it
<v Speaker 2>sounds like you could get annoying as hell real fast.
<v Speaker 2>Like when there's a bunch of things that decide whether
<v Speaker 2>you're performing well or not that aren't purely skill based.
<v Speaker 2>That tends to piss off a lot of people who
<v Speaker 2>play these types of games, and it is like dangerous
<v Speaker 2>it's in. It could find itself in a position where
<v Speaker 2>it feels more like a gimmick than they intended it to.
<v Speaker 2>And people kind of drop in. They're like, Okay, I
<v Speaker 2>can't play this seriously, this is a fun like maybe
<v Speaker 2>now and then it feels like it's made for a
<v Speaker 2>big streamer to play for one session, have some fun
<v Speaker 2>with it, and then never touch again.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, it seems possible. But in early access right now,
<v Speaker 1>we'll see if if finds an audience. I'm kind of
<v Speaker 1>curious just to see how they set things up and
<v Speaker 1>is it just a free for all? Everyone for themselves,
<v Speaker 1>is their teams, is their single player? I have no idea.
<v Speaker 1>Like a Dragon Pirate, Yakuza in a Hawaii got its
<v Speaker 1>best trailer yet. I think a boy, it looked like
<v Speaker 1>a lot of fun. How are you feeling about this?
<v Speaker 1>Because I'm just a man. I think they are killing
<v Speaker 1>it over there at RGGGG.
<v Speaker 2>Is the other studio who like when they make one
<v Speaker 2>game and it's good, the next game, you're like, hell, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's probably gonna be good. Yeah, and it's usually definitely.
<v Speaker 2>He usually is like, and I'm a longtime fan of
<v Speaker 2>the Yukers are like a Dragon series, and it feels
<v Speaker 2>like they've always been confident in what they're making. It
<v Speaker 2>feels like now they've reached the level of confidence where
<v Speaker 2>they're like, we can do anything. Anyone can come up
<v Speaker 2>with the dumbest idea and we can execute on it
<v Speaker 2>and it will be a banger. And that's where it
<v Speaker 2>feels like they're out right now. They are really leaning
<v Speaker 2>into that aspect of Yukisa that people love, which is
<v Speaker 2>how melodramatic and how seriously unserious it can be. And
<v Speaker 2>they've really figured out like they they love to do
<v Speaker 2>the bait and switch or they love to disarm you
<v Speaker 2>with how stupid some of the scenarios are, and then
<v Speaker 2>they'll hit you with some really like authentic and earnest
<v Speaker 2>and sincere in emotional stuff. And they've been getting better
<v Speaker 2>and better and better at and now they're like they've
<v Speaker 2>weaponized that kind of one two punch feeling of feeling like,
<v Speaker 2>oh this is dumb on goofy, and then walking away
<v Speaker 2>feeling like I miss my friends. I should be nice
<v Speaker 2>to people. I want to help other people and get
<v Speaker 2>a decent job.
<v Speaker 1>I want to contribute to society and to my certains happiness. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>absolutely all right, mouse Pi for hire. That's that steamboat
<v Speaker 1>Willie looking shooter that one continues to look PROMI scenes
<v Speaker 1>coming out twenty twenty five Sumnatica two a teaser trailer.
<v Speaker 1>I guess this is the announcement. I think the fans
<v Speaker 1>had a pretty good idea that this was coming, but
<v Speaker 1>this is the first time they've really seen it. It's
<v Speaker 1>coming twenty twenty five. It will be on game Pass.
<v Speaker 1>It will have a co op play. I believe it
<v Speaker 1>says yeah, yeah, four up co op, four player co op. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's gonna be pretty cool. And I've never played Sybnautica,
<v Speaker 1>but I've always intended to. I bet I will really
<v Speaker 1>like it, and maybe I'll start with this one.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see grub Noica.
<v Speaker 1>Grub Naudica should happen on this website. Animal Wells coming
<v Speaker 1>to Xbox. Eden's Zero is anime and it's coming in
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty five. It's based off the manga of the
<v Speaker 1>same name. Is Eden's Zero one something that was on
<v Speaker 1>your radar in terms of the manga.
<v Speaker 2>I never heard of that, Okay, Yeah, I.
<v Speaker 1>Was wondering internal strands, burn freeze or throw everything in
<v Speaker 1>internal strands? Yep, all right. I think kind of like
<v Speaker 1>lose the threat at a certain point here where it's like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>suddenly lost a Strand Lost the Strand? Is this a
<v Speaker 1>strand game? Is why? I think, Well, we have to
<v Speaker 1>ask ourselves. It's in the name, like they wouldn't do
<v Speaker 1>it if it's not. Okay, I mean again, that tells
<v Speaker 1>me burn everything is pretty fun. Yeah, look and then yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it does have a chemistry system like Breath of the Wild.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it kind of looks.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be one hundred percent honest with you, grub.
<v Speaker 2>I am desperately trying to remember what this game.
<v Speaker 1>No, I actually like you have.
<v Speaker 2>Clue you're talking about. Yes, I don't at a single idea.
<v Speaker 1>Eaton's Strands Okay, I'll read it from the cole carpenter
<v Speaker 1>just for the audio listeners. Since you're lost, they must
<v Speaker 1>be lost to burn Freeze Oh. Strands to be released
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty five. The game looks to get players
<v Speaker 1>a ton of freedom and how they take on the
<v Speaker 1>world's monsters. Microsoft also confirmed it'll be on game Pass.
<v Speaker 1>It's like magic casting game where it's you know, elemental.
<v Speaker 2>Based Eternal Strands.
<v Speaker 1>Sorry, Oh, yes, eternal Strands, yes, friends, yep, all right,
<v Speaker 1>uh miss fall Hunter, now do you remember that one?
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely not.
<v Speaker 1>No. A mix between extraction games and souls likes. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, what a f oh the distractions, souls
<v Speaker 1>extractions souls like. I remember they said souls like. I
<v Speaker 1>must not have read the extraction parks. I would have
<v Speaker 1>lost my mind. That is nuts. That's like, let's just hey,
<v Speaker 1>Like they put five buzzwords in a fish bowl and
<v Speaker 1>they picked out these two, and I guess we're got
<v Speaker 1>to make one of these now.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it feels like the people are going to do
<v Speaker 2>the thing now where they just pick every genre and
<v Speaker 2>add soules like, oh the end and let me tell you,
<v Speaker 2>I'm excited for music, rhythm game souls like at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Wheel World. This one was the cycling game from Annapurna
<v Speaker 1>It's It was formerly known as Ghost Spike. The bike
<v Speaker 1>based adventure game mixes the care free nature of cycling
<v Speaker 1>with what seems to be a little mystery. Microsoft also
<v Speaker 1>confirmed it'll be on game Pass. It's got a really
<v Speaker 1>stylized look similar to Sable. A lot of people pointed
<v Speaker 1>out it doesn't have the the on the twos animation
<v Speaker 1>sort of frame rate thing that Sable did, but it's
<v Speaker 1>got the similar sort of shading to it. Yeah, looks
<v Speaker 1>very cool. I think everyone was sort of impressed by
<v Speaker 1>this one when we were watching it live. Fastmophobia is
<v Speaker 1>coming to Xbox. Legend of Baboo has a big, big
<v Speaker 1>dog game, Big dog game. That's a man We should
<v Speaker 1>that should be our our clothing brand.
<v Speaker 2>Big dog game, Big dog game.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, big dog game.
<v Speaker 2>That is amazing.
<v Speaker 1>Who doesn't love the game with a dog. The Legend
<v Speaker 1>of Baboo is coming to I don't like saying bad boo.
<v Speaker 1>The Legend of Baboo is coming to Windows PC in
<v Speaker 1>Xbox in twenty twenty five. Even better, you'll be able
<v Speaker 1>to play as the dog Baboo and its human companion Cephyer.
<v Speaker 1>It's looks like an action adventure game, uh, where you
<v Speaker 1>go through the world with this big dog. Yeah, big dog.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know the breed, but it's big. It's about
<v Speaker 1>as big as the boy big big Baboo, about as
<v Speaker 1>big as the boy dog game.
<v Speaker 2>Say that ten times fast.
<v Speaker 1>I can't even say it once. Wu Chong Fallen feathers another.
<v Speaker 2>I'm just gonna say. There's too many Woo games. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>too many games.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we gotta we gotta go low on the Woo.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody rain it in wou Chang Fallen feathers. Uh it
<v Speaker 1>could be Wu Chong. I don't know. Trailer began with
<v Speaker 1>a person waiting through a forest of dead hanging bodies,
<v Speaker 1>before showcasing the game's a sword fighting gameplay. Oh, it's
<v Speaker 1>a It's a not a Jake Paul simulator. Fuck, what's
<v Speaker 1>the what? What's the He went to Japan and did
<v Speaker 1>the thing, the bad thing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, let's not talk about what he did in Japan.
<v Speaker 1>It's bad, man. This is uh A. It looks like
<v Speaker 1>it's very much trying to pull from the uh solar
<v Speaker 1>from from Like, honestly, a lot of this art design's like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>how close can we get the from.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean a sung game pass. I'll give it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm I'm going to try all this, And I
<v Speaker 1>think I think a lot of this art design is
<v Speaker 1>about as from worthy as as he can get. Like
<v Speaker 1>this is like, it looks pretty good. Some of the
<v Speaker 1>things not everything. The character had all the stuff on him,
<v Speaker 1>he looked pretty cool. I've got too much shoes. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And then FBC Firebreak we talked about this a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Set in the world of Control, FBC Firebreak is a
<v Speaker 1>multiplayer first person shooter coming to Windows, PC and Xbox
<v Speaker 1>Series X in twenty twenty five. The three player cooperative
<v Speaker 1>shooter is set in controls Federal Bureau of Control as
<v Speaker 1>Deadly the Other World worldly forces lay siege to the headquarters.
<v Speaker 1>Microsoft also confirmed it'll be on game Pass.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, left for Dead, Like listen, left for Dead,
<v Speaker 2>everyone calls it well, L for D for sure, L
<v Speaker 2>for d fbcy.
<v Speaker 1>They know what they're doing.
<v Speaker 2>I know.
<v Speaker 1>I think this is like just seems like a smart project. Right,
<v Speaker 1>you have the you set in the building that the
<v Speaker 1>one video game already took place in two big games,
<v Speaker 1>two of the best games from the whole showcase, or
<v Speaker 1>that right, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Let's just take the
<v Speaker 1>y map, reuse it, just that we do with all
<v Speaker 1>our games over at RGIG and remedies, Like, hey, we're
<v Speaker 1>a studio maybe about the size of RGG. How can
<v Speaker 1>we be more efficient with the kinds of games we're making.
<v Speaker 1>Let's just start reusing some of these assets. And I
<v Speaker 1>am all for that. I think there was a time
<v Speaker 1>ten years ago, TAM where reusing assets was such a
<v Speaker 1>dirty concept and people would have freaked out like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>these lazy game developers. And now it's like, look, you
<v Speaker 1>better let them reuse the stuff, or we're just not
<v Speaker 1>going to get as many games as we want.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, it's a case of like giving people more
<v Speaker 2>of what they want. I think people are much more
<v Speaker 2>into that idea. I think back in the you know,
<v Speaker 2>many years back, people will be like, absolutely not, we
<v Speaker 2>need a brand new, fresh idea every single time. And
<v Speaker 2>I think these days more people are more like, I
<v Speaker 2>will take a little bit more of this, please, And
<v Speaker 2>I think that helps a lot of people. And if
<v Speaker 2>you have to do it in a smart way.
<v Speaker 1>Obviously feeding time.
<v Speaker 2>My cats are off fighting over the same one, let
<v Speaker 2>me get.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, do you think for sure? You know, in fact,
<v Speaker 1>we let them let them, let let them fight, let
<v Speaker 1>them fight them. Yeah, I've got.
<v Speaker 2>Her own bowl, but she never goes to it. It's stupid,
<v Speaker 2>oh kitty one brains.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. So but like also like you have to trust
<v Speaker 2>the studio to do it right, and Remedy and I
<v Speaker 2>trust Remedy to do as best a job as they can,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and RGG are obviously they're they're basically the
<v Speaker 2>masters of using assets at this point. Yeah, And also
<v Speaker 2>like I feel like this is a smart project, especially
<v Speaker 2>considering it's I believe, the first self published title from Remedy.
<v Speaker 2>It's a you want something that's a as close to
<v Speaker 2>a short fire hit as you can get without being boring,
<v Speaker 2>and you know, just a retread. Right, this is in
<v Speaker 2>the middle ground where control is a smash hit for them,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's the thing that they're most well known
<v Speaker 2>for now, even above Alan Wake and and to a degree,
<v Speaker 2>Max Painter would say, and having a game set in
<v Speaker 2>that universe again but with some coming from it from
<v Speaker 2>from a new angle and perspective is a good call.
<v Speaker 2>I think.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. It's also kind of thing we're saying, Okay, yeah, multiplayers,
<v Speaker 1>so a lot of people are going to be willing
<v Speaker 1>to just download it digitally, doesn't necessarily have to be
<v Speaker 1>in physical retail stores. That's going to help them out
<v Speaker 1>with there being, like you said, they're first game that
<v Speaker 1>they're publishing, and then get working with game Pass, working
<v Speaker 1>with Microsoft, getting that deal, so you will have a
<v Speaker 1>certain subset of players ready to go right away. You know,
<v Speaker 1>if it's got cross play, that'll help. It's going to
<v Speaker 1>be on Steam, you know, I'm sure it'll be on PlayStation.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder if it'll be on the Epic Store. I
<v Speaker 1>wonder if they still were going to do stuff for
<v Speaker 1>that pic. It probably will be on Epic Store. There's
<v Speaker 1>no reason not to put it there. But you know,
<v Speaker 1>Epic is no longer publishing their games, all right, I
<v Speaker 1>think what we're gonna do here, Actually, let's let's mention
<v Speaker 1>this story we talked about like a Dragon Pirate, Yakuza
<v Speaker 1>and Hawaii. One thing we didn't mention that was confirmed
<v Speaker 1>in this rundown is the release date moved up a
<v Speaker 1>whole week. Yeah, yeah, kind of Drake's Day, Like this
<v Speaker 1>is the kind of story that gets in on a
<v Speaker 1>drags day. Yeah, it's basically even worth or not barely
<v Speaker 1>worth mentioning because it's like so few, like so little time.
<v Speaker 1>But February is busy, tam, and you kind of get
<v Speaker 1>you get the sense of why they're doing this, right,
<v Speaker 1>So this game is now coming in February twenty First
<v Speaker 1>they I think we're trying to avoid called Monster Hunter Wilds,
<v Speaker 1>which was coming out February twenty eighth.
<v Speaker 2>Right, Yeah, that's that's a little game that people like,
<v Speaker 2>got the old Pokemon in it up tell Nintendo yep.
<v Speaker 1>And honestly, February twenty first was kind of a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of a hole in February because on the eleventh,
<v Speaker 1>ye have Kingdom Come Deliverance too, as well as Civilization seven.
<v Speaker 1>Then the thirteenth is some game. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>it is. I put all these games in here, But
<v Speaker 1>then about is February eighteenth, so you know later that
<v Speaker 1>week you put Pirate. Yes, you have Valentine's Day, right,
<v Speaker 1>that's how we're going to celebrate. Of course I'll need
<v Speaker 1>that for my spouse, of.
<v Speaker 2>Course, absolutely. Yeah, I only profess my love to video games.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, except well and through video games, I'll be
<v Speaker 1>playing Assassin's Creed. I'll perform it for her. Yeah, so hey,
<v Speaker 1>get in there, move it to a date that's not
<v Speaker 1>locked down yet, stake out your ground, do everything you
<v Speaker 1>can to maximize the sales of these games. This just
<v Speaker 1>feels smart. I hope it works out for them. I
<v Speaker 1>got a feeling that Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii feels like
<v Speaker 1>one that one of these spin off Yakuza games, like
<v Speaker 1>a Dragon games that could really take off.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, yeah, it's the first I believe it's the
<v Speaker 2>first game in the series franchise that has Majuma in
<v Speaker 2>a starring role and that is everything that every Yakuza
<v Speaker 2>fan has wanted for the entire time this franchise existed.
<v Speaker 2>So we're finally getting it and I'm ready to pop
<v Speaker 2>off with my top off.
<v Speaker 1>We doo. All right, let's take a quick break. When
<v Speaker 1>we get back more information about those Pokemon leaks. DMCA
<v Speaker 1>of strikes are starting to hit them. And two K
<v Speaker 1>has an extraction shooter of their own. Oh boy, we'll
<v Speaker 1>talk about that right after this. All right, let's get
<v Speaker 1>back into it. Some Pokemon leaks are getting taken down
<v Speaker 1>by DMCA requests. This is from Nicole Carpenter at Polygon. Yokakugan,
<v Speaker 1>a Shoehesha Productions company better known as show Pro, is
<v Speaker 1>reportedly filing the Digital Millennium Copyright Act DMCA notice to
<v Speaker 1>take down social media posts related to leaked Pokemon art
<v Speaker 1>and documents. Steveral posts on a leaker account Control Leaks
<v Speaker 1>on Twitter have been replaced with a notice saying the
<v Speaker 1>image has been taken down due to a request from
<v Speaker 1>the copyright holder. According to Control to Central Leaks, the
<v Speaker 1>I said yes, Central Leaks. The DMCA requests were filed
<v Speaker 1>by show Pro, which is in charge of Nintendo's anime
<v Speaker 1>shows and movies in Japan's Pokemon's Japan's Pokemon merchandise, but
<v Speaker 1>not related to Nintendo or the Pokemon Company directly. Notably,
<v Speaker 1>not everything has been taken down, nor is it just
<v Speaker 1>post related to the Pokemon anime show. Pro specifically has
<v Speaker 1>an anti piracy division within the company, and it's been
<v Speaker 1>known for its aggressive approach within with its copyrights. So far,
<v Speaker 1>the takedown notices do not appear to be widespread. It's
<v Speaker 1>still hard to find Pokemon leaks on social media or elsewhere.
<v Speaker 1>It's still not hard. Excuse me, Yeah, A little bit
<v Speaker 1>of this is like, Okay, I was waiting to see
<v Speaker 1>how Nintendo and the Pokemon Company would respond to this stuff.
<v Speaker 1>So far, they seem to be going doing things of
<v Speaker 1>like we're going to let this play out and sort
<v Speaker 1>of maybe not add fuel to the fire, and maybe
<v Speaker 1>they're also trying to do the work of finding how
<v Speaker 1>this stuff did leak. Again, the word I've heard, which
<v Speaker 1>has not been confirmed. A lot of this stuff is
<v Speaker 1>not confirmed, is that it was a phishing scam for
<v Speaker 1>an employee. That something just happens all the time now.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, now some deem sa weeks are popping up,
<v Speaker 1>and it's, uh, it feels like a little bit of
<v Speaker 1>an admission, like, yeah, this a lot of this stuff
<v Speaker 1>is real, although there is there continues to be question
<v Speaker 1>marks around a lot of these things because there are
<v Speaker 1>sometimes apparently trolls adding misinformation into the information. So it's
<v Speaker 1>a whole mess out there. Have you been keeping an
<v Speaker 1>eye on these leaks? It's been been kind of hard
<v Speaker 1>to keep up with for me.
<v Speaker 2>Do I look stupid, Jeff.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna say you do.
<v Speaker 2>Listen. I know then I don't even look at Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>leaks because I know if I even looked as a
<v Speaker 2>significant chance, I could somehow go to jail. Yes, I
<v Speaker 2>am not looking at I'm not thinking about it. I'm
<v Speaker 2>not even looking at the Ronald show sheet right now.
<v Speaker 2>That's okay, because I just do not want a situation
<v Speaker 2>where Nintendo can somehow figure out figure out yeah that
<v Speaker 2>they're like they can present some sort of argument where
<v Speaker 2>I am involved in leaks. I have not, Nintendo. I
<v Speaker 2>have not looked at your leaks. I have not looked
<v Speaker 2>at any text about your leaks. I have never done
<v Speaker 2>a crime in my life. I certainly have not even
<v Speaker 2>once in nineteen ninety eight been responsible for a leak
<v Speaker 2>of one of your video games?
<v Speaker 1>Ever?
<v Speaker 2>Ever, it's never happened. Okay, don't come anywhere near me.
<v Speaker 2>I got nothing to new with you.
<v Speaker 1>That's a that's clever.
<v Speaker 2>It's my game freak. More like game leak.
<v Speaker 1>There you good get their asses? Yeah? So wait, do
<v Speaker 1>you're not where? What happened to type flosian the Pokemon?
<v Speaker 2>Is he dead now?
<v Speaker 1>That people wanted to be dead now? Because what he
<v Speaker 1>did to that woman?
<v Speaker 2>What do you do? What do you do?
<v Speaker 1>He turned into He turned into a human and tricked
<v Speaker 1>a lady into having sex with him so that she
<v Speaker 1>would have a half human Pokemon. It's based on Japanese folklore,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know if that is real.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know al what's going on anymore?
<v Speaker 1>What it's as real as we could tell from like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>there was some bad translation as well in there, So
<v Speaker 1>it's like maybe maybe he didn't trick her, Maybe he
<v Speaker 1>saved her life and took her back to a cabin
<v Speaker 1>and then had sex with her. Listen, honestly, gonna be real.
<v Speaker 1>Those details don't matter to me. Flosi out there getting
<v Speaker 1>it in, doing his thing, that's all I know.
<v Speaker 2>You know what let my man get as really wet.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>No one's stopping so far, so yeah, and then they're
<v Speaker 1>apparently something going. I was slacking, but I've continued not
<v Speaker 1>to look into that myself.
<v Speaker 2>For like just basically a like a cow pit with
<v Speaker 2>fire on it.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, yeah, right, okay, it looks like walking rug.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it looks like a rug with and then if
<v Speaker 2>you look at it from front on, it looks straight
<v Speaker 2>up like a criminal.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it looks like you put this thing. Man, You
<v Speaker 1>put a sneaky little face on the flying carpet from
<v Speaker 1>Aladdin is what he looks like.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, this thing is ugly as hell.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's keep going with this show. Two K
<v Speaker 1>reveals colorful hero extraction shooter that already feels dated. This
<v Speaker 1>is from Zack Swizen at Kotaku Today. Two K Games
<v Speaker 1>and thirty First Union finally revealed Project Ethos, the studio's
<v Speaker 1>first game since it was formed in twenty nineteen, and well,
<v Speaker 1>have you ever played Overwatch or Fortnite, then it looks
<v Speaker 1>a lot. It will look familiar to you. Formed in
<v Speaker 1>twenty nineteen, thirty First Union is a studio led by
<v Speaker 1>former Dead Space director and Sledgehammer Games co founder Michael Condrey.
<v Speaker 1>The two K Games studio has has been quietly working
<v Speaker 1>on something for a few years now and also laying
<v Speaker 1>people off to and on October seventeenth, the studio five
<v Speaker 1>we unbuild its first game, project Ethos. It's a free
<v Speaker 1>to play third person extraction hero shooter with rogue like elements.
<v Speaker 1>There's a trailer out there. Maybe I'll put it up
<v Speaker 1>on the screen here in a second. But tam boy,
<v Speaker 1>I do not envy anyone who started making the game
<v Speaker 1>of twenty nineteen is releasing it.
<v Speaker 2>No. Yeah, that's exactly what I was gonna say. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>they started making this game in twenty nineteen and explain literal.
<v Speaker 1>And it sounds so much like the game you started
<v Speaker 1>in twenty nineteen.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yo, man, how how is it allowed to get
<v Speaker 2>this far? That's my question?
<v Speaker 1>Right? But in front of hyenas, right, remember over at
<v Speaker 1>Sega and Creative Assailing, they're doing their version of this
<v Speaker 1>hyenas and then like, well we cancel that now, everyone
<v Speaker 1>Creative asembly is like scrambling to do something else.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, toy, be clear, I would love for this to
<v Speaker 2>be awesome, right, to succeed I'm just the thing that
<v Speaker 2>we're playing out. Is we just the opposition stuck Yes,
<v Speaker 2>heavily against you, Like precedent is not on your side.
<v Speaker 2>There's been little to no successful cases of a new
<v Speaker 2>hero shoot extraction shooter coming out from a major company
<v Speaker 2>like this and it being successful. I can't think of
<v Speaker 2>the last one. Even the sequel to one of the
<v Speaker 2>most popular hero shooters ever made isn't as beloved anymore,
<v Speaker 2>Like over Watch two. I'm I was a die hard
<v Speaker 2>Overwatch fan. I can count the amount of Overwatch two
<v Speaker 2>I've played on one hand, and that is something that
<v Speaker 2>I feel sad about, right it is.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's a rough It's something attachment to something that
<v Speaker 1>you spent a lot of time with friends playing like
<v Speaker 1>and even that game can't get over the hump again.
<v Speaker 1>Your points that this again, that's the odds are stacked
<v Speaker 1>against it.
<v Speaker 2>I think people need to realize our companies to realize
<v Speaker 2>that these this genre is a very much time and
<v Speaker 2>place moment. It's like were you there when baseball started?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Or like are you you know, you know, not exactly
<v Speaker 2>the same, but like if you're trying to make new
<v Speaker 2>baseball after baseball has existed, for really long time. You're
<v Speaker 2>probably not gonna do very well, homeboy. Like it is
<v Speaker 2>something that like is there are games out there that
<v Speaker 2>now exist as these types of genre games that new
<v Speaker 2>players just are embedded into as they grow into that age.
<v Speaker 2>Like when when someone inevitably reaches an age or a point,
<v Speaker 2>whether they like, I want to play hero Shooter an
<v Speaker 2>extraction shooter, they look at the ones that are most
<v Speaker 2>popular right now Fortnite, you know, or like these games
<v Speaker 2>and service games. Yeah, games and service games Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch,
<v Speaker 2>Rainbow six, Siege, and they pick one. It's like choosing
<v Speaker 2>do you want to Are you gonna play football, baseball, soccer, basketball,
<v Speaker 2>what you're gonna play? Don't try and invent a new
<v Speaker 2>one of these? You can try, but unless you ask.
<v Speaker 2>You've got something so cool that it is going to
<v Speaker 2>distinguish yourself, and you know it's got a high chance
<v Speaker 2>of popping off. That's when you do it. This just
<v Speaker 2>I've not seen anything in this that feels like, oh, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>they they've got something they're cooking here.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I mean, honestly, like it feels like when I
<v Speaker 1>look at the there was just this scene in this
<v Speaker 1>trailer where they show the they do the thing of
<v Speaker 1>the sizzle reel of the characters. Right, here's one character
<v Speaker 1>you could be, here's another character could be. And it
<v Speaker 1>feels so much like you take the head of you know,
<v Speaker 1>the big burly Viking guy from one game, and you
<v Speaker 1>put him on the science body from another game, and
<v Speaker 1>it all looks like Fortnite, and it looks kind of
<v Speaker 1>like bad Fortnite. Honestly, I don't know, this doesn't whatever.
<v Speaker 1>I'll play the game. I'll give a shot. I'll give
<v Speaker 1>anything a shot. Yeah, but yeah, I mean the IgM
<v Speaker 1>preview apparently, according to this Zackwising story on Kataku, was
<v Speaker 1>not encouraging. He's like, you've read the preview. I've not
<v Speaker 1>read that myself yet. But he's like they said it's
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's fine, but it feels dated and it
<v Speaker 1>looks fine.
<v Speaker 2>Does not get you? Like, fine isn't enough to for
<v Speaker 2>the investment that a game like this requires. Yeah, Like,
<v Speaker 2>I look at Concord. Come on, man, Concorde has the
<v Speaker 2>biggest company behind it. It got folded into some kind
<v Speaker 2>of crazy you know, Amazon TV series shit it had.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it wasn't marketed great, but like they put
<v Speaker 2>a lot into it, and now they're eating that investment
<v Speaker 2>pretty hard. I'm like, I looked at the video of
<v Speaker 2>this and it's like, oh, yeah, you've got you look
<v Speaker 2>like Fortnite. You've got the the Valoris like character select screen.
<v Speaker 2>I can't see a single unique idea in this. It
<v Speaker 2>feels like it was created because someone in ASH shareholder
<v Speaker 2>meeting was like, we need one of these games, yep.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, and if you're making one of these
<v Speaker 1>games and you are a new studio at two K,
<v Speaker 1>and you sort of have to make the thing that
<v Speaker 1>the people who are giving you money feel good, it
<v Speaker 1>feels feel good about like you're gonna end up doing
<v Speaker 1>everything that everyone's sorry doing because they know they know
<v Speaker 1>that works, but it works for that other game for
<v Speaker 1>other reasons. And now you coming in a little bit
<v Speaker 1>late and just copying all that stuff. Not that I'm again, whatever,
<v Speaker 1>do your thing, get your game across the finish line,
<v Speaker 1>steal the best stuff from other games. I am completely
<v Speaker 1>in favor of that, but I don't think that is
<v Speaker 1>necessarily going to make a successful game. Yeah, but Project Teitos,
<v Speaker 1>we'll see, Hey, tam, I would love in two years
<v Speaker 1>us do this show. And like, man, remember I had
<v Speaker 1>that conversation of Project Theos and now it's the biggest
<v Speaker 1>game world.
<v Speaker 2>I would I would absolutely to be proven wrong. Yeah
<v Speaker 2>I would. I would love to be proven wrong again.
<v Speaker 2>I never want a game to fail, like I always
<v Speaker 2>want games to succeed. Don't want people to see when
<v Speaker 2>they're making these games, and if it turns out this
<v Speaker 2>game is very, very popular, I will, you know, e crow,
<v Speaker 2>I will hold my in my hand and be like
<v Speaker 2>I was wrong. I don't think so though.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, I'm I agree.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>Amazon's God of War TV show is starting over from
<v Speaker 1>scratch scratch. This is from Ethan Gotcha Kutaku. Sony's God
<v Speaker 1>of War TV show, currently in development at Amazon, is
<v Speaker 1>reportedly getting a reboot two years after it was first announced.
<v Speaker 1>The adaptation has lost its showrunner and head producer as
<v Speaker 1>the companies reportedly look to take the existing scripts in
<v Speaker 1>a different creative direction. That means they don't like them
<v Speaker 1>and are starting over.
<v Speaker 2>That was a typo in the original pitch, And they
<v Speaker 2>spent months making a show about a warmongering dog, and
<v Speaker 2>someone came in from Sony and was like, no, God,
<v Speaker 2>not dog. What the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>Well, listen, Amazon would just be like, now, this is fine,
<v Speaker 1>just put that up. That's a that's a good show.
<v Speaker 1>Dog of War, Hell yeah, showrunner rafe Jukin's wheel Time
<v Speaker 1>and executive preusers Hawk Austy Expanse and Mark Fergus, Children
<v Speaker 1>of Men, Hey cool, have to party. The project of
<v Speaker 1>Variety reports.
<v Speaker 2>All the people that those cool things that they went on,
<v Speaker 2>I don't hear.
<v Speaker 1>Any well exactly, it's like, oh, okay, well this sucks, Tam.
<v Speaker 1>I'm I'm I'm on record on this show saying I'm
<v Speaker 1>not someone who is going to watch any of these shows,
<v Speaker 1>let alone needs these shows. So in my opinion, I'm like, okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>all right, good luck with that if it comes out
<v Speaker 1>and it's the best thing ever. Like people are saying
<v Speaker 1>like about the penguin right now, and I'm like kind
<v Speaker 1>of struggling even to start that. My personal opinion is, hey,
<v Speaker 1>if you make this, you don't make it. It's not
<v Speaker 1>no skin off my ass. But I know a lot
<v Speaker 1>of people want cool stuff from God of War. Although
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I bet if we took the average video
<v Speaker 1>gamer off the street and asked them like, do you
<v Speaker 1>want to go to work t show, They're like, what
<v Speaker 1>if I just got a new game. Actually, yeah, but
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>How as a game has well, I say, other people
<v Speaker 2>who made the video game involved in it? Are they
<v Speaker 2>making this? No, I don't care as far as I'm concerned.
<v Speaker 2>I just' just like I trust Sony Santa Monica. I
<v Speaker 2>trust you know the team behind Ragnarok and the original
<v Speaker 2>God to War reboot and you know all the crew
<v Speaker 2>behind that. I do not give a single ship about
<v Speaker 2>anyone else outside. You could tell me Steven Spielberg was
<v Speaker 2>making the next God of War TV show. Yeah, yeah, exactly,
<v Speaker 2>and I'd be like, I don't I still don't give
<v Speaker 2>a ship. I don't trust it. Like what the fuck
<v Speaker 2>that Steven Spielberg and over God of War? Like and
<v Speaker 2>what is the you know? I can't think of And
<v Speaker 2>I can't think of a single maybe like the riot
<v Speaker 2>thing on Netflix. I forgot it's called now arcane Arcane
<v Speaker 2>Like that's the closest you you really, I think like
<v Speaker 2>that in Castlevania.
<v Speaker 1>Are the ones people edge Runners run Runners.
<v Speaker 2>Too as well?
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I think likes as well.
<v Speaker 2>Also, I feel like CDPR had a pretty close involvement
<v Speaker 2>with that, right, But like in this, like I've not
<v Speaker 2>not seen anything from these Amazon things that I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>oh sweet, this looks great. Like it's same goes for like,
<v Speaker 2>wasn't there a Ghost of Sushima movie in.
<v Speaker 1>There's there's a ghost of Sushimi movie in the works.
<v Speaker 1>There is a you know, obviously the last was happened.
<v Speaker 1>But I think Amazon or of us next Netflix was
<v Speaker 1>also working on a Horizon TV show, And again I
<v Speaker 1>always at the caveat that I am not someone who
<v Speaker 1>reports on Hollywood or the television production companies and things
<v Speaker 1>like that, so I don't fully understand it, but I
<v Speaker 1>kept hearing that I am, well tell you, yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>heard that Horizon was having some issues with it's writing,
<v Speaker 1>and so they were like, maybe like resetting the show
<v Speaker 1>over there as well? Now does it give you some
<v Speaker 1>confidence that they are not just pushing through crappy scripts?
<v Speaker 1>And they are like, so yeah, there's a glass.
<v Speaker 2>Half full way of looking at it, to be fair,
<v Speaker 2>So that fair point, yeah, or like the previous one
<v Speaker 2>was so bad they were like we can't.
<v Speaker 1>Right, everyone was like we just absolutely can't do that.
<v Speaker 2>Or again, I would love for it to be great.
<v Speaker 1>I would love it.
<v Speaker 2>I think like seeing God of War on the TV
<v Speaker 2>or a big screen is sounds really cool, Like Kratos
<v Speaker 2>has that gravitas as a character that I feel like
<v Speaker 2>a lot of people could really get behind, you know
<v Speaker 2>what I mean. But I'm not holding out hope for
<v Speaker 2>a good God of War TV show.
<v Speaker 1>Right exactly. My happiness does not hinge on these things
<v Speaker 1>coming out and being good. Whatever. If they are bad,
<v Speaker 1>I will do what I do with all these TV
<v Speaker 1>shows and just not even thinking about them.
<v Speaker 2>I tell you what, though, what's Corey Barlow up to?
<v Speaker 1>He's I mean, that's that's what I'm I think we
<v Speaker 1>get to next year and we find out I think
<v Speaker 1>we can find out.
<v Speaker 2>By that I'm excited about. Yeah, I'm I'm excited about
<v Speaker 2>finding out what Corey and Sony Santa Monica have been making.
<v Speaker 2>I you know, I I want to see what Eric
<v Speaker 2>Williams and the other crew that you know made Ragnarok
<v Speaker 2>have been making up to now. Like that is what
<v Speaker 2>I'm excited.
<v Speaker 1>We're overdue for a lot of these big creative leads
<v Speaker 1>and their teams that have been working on stuff for
<v Speaker 1>a long time at Sony and a bunch of places.
<v Speaker 1>I think about the director of Titan fall Over, at
<v Speaker 1>Respawn of the original titan Fall one. He's been working
<v Speaker 1>on a project for forever, and I'm like, man, what
<v Speaker 1>if we see that thing eventually? That'd be awesome.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know what, it's a good time to be
<v Speaker 2>in video games. It is a good time to be
<v Speaker 2>in video games and not care about what video games
<v Speaker 2>are being turned into.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So many videos you took to clarify the Horizon thing.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to remember it. Maybe they were bad. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>they were the scripts were too ambitious, and they were
<v Speaker 1>it would cost too much. There's a possibility of that
<v Speaker 1>as well. Again, maybe don't go write stories so based
<v Speaker 1>on this, I think I don't remember.
<v Speaker 2>Do you think at some point someone in meeting looked
<v Speaker 2>at the script? I went, it's just me. It doesn't
<v Speaker 2>ALOI talk too much?
<v Speaker 1>Why she describing what she's doing every time she walks
<v Speaker 1>into a room. This is weird.
<v Speaker 2>What's going on?
<v Speaker 1>Like, that's just true to the game, and we want
<v Speaker 1>to be honest of the game.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, be honest, all right.
<v Speaker 1>Brace yourselves. Tam Nintendo sixty four, Nintendo Switch Online ads
<v Speaker 1>Benjo TOOI on October twenty fifth. Uh, this is from Salamondok.
<v Speaker 1>They're adding banjure to me on October twenty fifth. That's
<v Speaker 1>the story. Moving on, I do do you want to
<v Speaker 1>bring it up just to say, hey, rare games coming
<v Speaker 1>in Nintendo sixty four and Nintendo Switch Online is always
<v Speaker 1>interesting to see. But it's like, oh, okay, Banjo two
<v Speaker 1>before Donkey Kong sixty four, that's interesting. We have gotten
<v Speaker 1>like GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, right, I'm trying to.
<v Speaker 2>Was Donkey Kong sixty four good? No? I remember playing
<v Speaker 2>it and I now think back of it and just
<v Speaker 2>remember myself being thoroughly pissed off things.
<v Speaker 1>Yes time, hey boys, Okay, Barrett Blessing, look over here.
<v Speaker 1>Donkey Kong sixty four is not good. It's not good. Guys.
<v Speaker 1>You need to let it go. I know you were children,
<v Speaker 1>but you're your men. Now you're adults. It's time playing
<v Speaker 1>to look at that game and admit what it is.
<v Speaker 2>I played it to completion, and I remember just the
<v Speaker 2>entire time going this is why am I playing? This
<v Speaker 2>is ass? And I think I pushed through because it
<v Speaker 2>was like, I love Nintendo, I love Donkey Kong. I
<v Speaker 2>have to as a card carrying fan of both of those.
<v Speaker 2>I need to finish this. I remember finishing it, and
<v Speaker 2>I mean remember being I think that might have been
<v Speaker 2>the game that killed my love of like collective yeah
<v Speaker 2>on games for a really long time, Tam.
<v Speaker 1>I think like you just unlocked something. And I think
<v Speaker 1>this game might explain a lot about how I play
<v Speaker 1>games now, where I remember one summer like one hundred
<v Speaker 1>percent in Banjo Kazoui and loving that, and then getting
<v Speaker 1>super excited for Donkey Kong sixty four. I love Donkey
<v Speaker 1>Kong Country, and then playing Donkey Kong Country or Donkey
<v Speaker 1>Kong sixty four and then they're like, you're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>to replay these levels. There's these different characters to do
<v Speaker 1>these different things over and over and over again, and
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, no, now, I'm just not gonna I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna stop playing this game because I'm not having fun anymore.
<v Speaker 1>And I had a little bit of fun doing this
<v Speaker 1>one time, and now I'm just gonna stop, and you
<v Speaker 1>know what, I'm not even gonna feel bad about it.
<v Speaker 1>This game might be the reason I play games the way.
<v Speaker 2>I do, unless I've tried to like memory wipe myself.
<v Speaker 2>But did this have like a character switching system where
<v Speaker 2>it was like, oh, you've got to this partner, you
<v Speaker 2>need to go fucking all the way again, switching to
<v Speaker 2>Dix Kong or some ship.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, you would have to like start the level again
<v Speaker 1>as a different character, and as Marino points out, different
<v Speaker 1>colored bananas for every character.
<v Speaker 2>This game is asked like top to bot and this
<v Speaker 2>game is asked, I remember it now vividly is coming back,
<v Speaker 2>and I remember, I think this is one of those
<v Speaker 2>games where I felt like it was might have been
<v Speaker 2>the first time that I became like a toxic internet
<v Speaker 2>roll where I was like, this is a badly designed game.
<v Speaker 2>It was the first time my brain went the design
<v Speaker 2>of this thing.
<v Speaker 1>Is signed in a hostile way to me and the
<v Speaker 1>way I enjoyed things, Why did they do it this way?
<v Speaker 1>And it's like it struck such a good balance with
<v Speaker 1>Banjo Kazuoi and then rare and just like more more
<v Speaker 1>thanks to collect and make it weirder and bad. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it's bad enough for Blake Club
<v Speaker 1>Nikki because it's.
<v Speaker 2>Like, no, it's not that bad, because I mean that
<v Speaker 2>it is bad, but it's still technically it's relative to
<v Speaker 2>the time, it's well made. Yes, I think Black Club
<v Speaker 2>needs to have an element of did they code this blindfolded.
<v Speaker 1>Right, there's a there's a thing about like a black
<v Speaker 1>club back that we do, like we talk about all
<v Speaker 1>our charter and the rules, but like there's an actual
<v Speaker 1>rule where it's like the game needs to be actually
<v Speaker 1>bad and not just something that would hurt the person playing,
<v Speaker 1>like then doesn't like miss it would hurt him, but
<v Speaker 1>Missed is not a bad game generally speaking for what
<v Speaker 1>it's trying to be. So it would that can't be
<v Speaker 1>a blake club game. Maybe that could be something.
<v Speaker 2>Else, Maybe find ways it was Lucy's playing that monkey game,
<v Speaker 2>isn't she Monkey? Played a bunch of that game, and
<v Speaker 2>that game gets I think it's a really unique game
<v Speaker 2>because it gets progressively worse, like by the minute, Oh
<v Speaker 2>that rules, Actually, that's really really funny, Like by the
<v Speaker 2>time I don't think you're going to get to the
<v Speaker 2>end of that game, because I think like halfway through
<v Speaker 2>it like utterly ships the bed and starts like crashing
<v Speaker 2>and ship.
<v Speaker 1>Like we've been playing it and I didn't remember, but
<v Speaker 1>I think a lot of people in chat for to clarify,
<v Speaker 1>it's Skull Island Rise of cong is what Lucy's playing,
<v Speaker 1>And when it first came out, it was rough. Apparently
<v Speaker 1>they maybe they patched. It's running a little bit better
<v Speaker 1>so far. I mean, maybe we'll still encounter some some
<v Speaker 1>bad stuff. But listen, game is it? Game mill? I
<v Speaker 1>can't remember who made this. Whoever, whoever did it, they
<v Speaker 1>really take pride in their work, tam, so they may
<v Speaker 1>improve us.
<v Speaker 2>What is my Black Club game going to be next?
<v Speaker 2>Because I'm I'm ready now to be punished.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I'll try to. We'll think of something. We can't
<v Speaker 1>tell you.
<v Speaker 2>It's got to be a surprised No Donkey Kong sixty four.
<v Speaker 2>If you tell me it's Donkeykong sixty four, I'm throwing
<v Speaker 2>myself out.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, we just have Lucy send you the Donkey
<v Speaker 1>Kong costume and there you go, all good? A gex
<v Speaker 1>uh yeah, is there a really bad Steam rip off
<v Speaker 1>of Bloodborne that that'll be it? There you go? Oh God,
<v Speaker 1>just really hurt you specifically. All right, last story here,
<v Speaker 1>David Diver's creator wants to create a Dave cinematic universe
<v Speaker 1>of you. Yeah, that's I was wondering because this is
<v Speaker 1>how I think, That's how I feel. I'm like, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if I'm as strong as it, but It's like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that's a good idea. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, okay, did it work for Shovel.
<v Speaker 2>Night, Oh my god, to.
<v Speaker 1>A certain extent, but they like they treated like expansions.
<v Speaker 1>Each new night was an expansion. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Are they doing this, man, I don't know. Yeah, you
<v Speaker 2>had a good thing hit Dave Deva was cool. You know.
<v Speaker 2>It was a little indie game that everyone loved. And
<v Speaker 2>the ny say, oh god, I just don't know many
<v Speaker 2>you know what creator of Dave the di Diver go
<v Speaker 2>for it.
<v Speaker 1>Wang says he's the creator of the Diver. He wants
<v Speaker 1>to Yeah, go ahead, Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>My new strategy is to encourage this so we can
<v Speaker 2>all just watch people like drive their ideas into the
<v Speaker 2>ground and like just hemorrhage money and free for and
<v Speaker 2>then you know what, I'm in my told you so, era. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>That's where I'm at. I love that I'm in my
<v Speaker 2>I told you so era. I want to look at
<v Speaker 2>people who are making mistakes and just look them in
<v Speaker 2>the eyes and be like I told you so.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I oh man, I'm really dreading the day that
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna become the number one hater in the video
<v Speaker 1>game industry.
<v Speaker 2>That is what my aspissions in the video game industry.
<v Speaker 2>A new hater. It's me.
<v Speaker 1>All right, well you heard it here first, everybody.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna crack open my bottle of hater aid and
<v Speaker 2>I'm coming for you all.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just gonna read this first paragraph so we just
<v Speaker 1>get of the flavor of what's happening here. Dave the
<v Speaker 1>Diver creator j Hill Halang says he wants to expand
<v Speaker 1>the day of the Diver Ip with new games focusing
<v Speaker 1>on different characters and spanning multiple genres. Following the success
<v Speaker 1>of the first game. I get this tendency, I do,
<v Speaker 1>but there's no way that well okay, there's not no way.
<v Speaker 1>But it's unlike the next game that has a different
<v Speaker 1>genre focuses on one of these secondary characters, does anywhere
<v Speaker 1>near as well as David Diver right, hmmm, no, no.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I feel like David Diver was like a time
<v Speaker 2>and place kind of game.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like cooking Mama, right. There was a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of different mama, yes, right, like mama did all kinds
<v Speaker 1>of stuff. But all I remember now is cooking Mama.
<v Speaker 1>And I bet like the third fourth fifth of those
<v Speaker 1>games had a lot of huge returns.
<v Speaker 2>The only way I see this working is if they
<v Speaker 2>take the Steamwoade approgram.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, w Paul W. Graham Chad just said that.
<v Speaker 1>That's what made me go, ooh, you're right, maybe that
<v Speaker 1>could work.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it could work. But like the Steam World
<v Speaker 2>games don't have the traditional connected cinematic universe, if you
<v Speaker 2>know what I mean, it is just a bunch. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there's a there's an there's an esthetic, and a couple
<v Speaker 2>of you know, like fundamental ideas.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure there's more there for people looking. I think
<v Speaker 1>it's like, okay, this one in this one game, I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to outer space. And then one of the games
<v Speaker 1>takes place in outer space. It's like I think it's
<v Speaker 1>that deep and that's it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean like this is basically they seem like
<v Speaker 2>the same way we want to put Dave in a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of different professions and making mechanics, you know, make
<v Speaker 2>the mechanics different, which is like I don't I don't know, man,
<v Speaker 2>Like I I wouldn't bet it so hard on the
<v Speaker 2>day the diver intellectual property. I feel like you're better
<v Speaker 2>off trying to make something fresh each time because David
<v Speaker 2>Dive is weird. It's funny and weird, like this big
<v Speaker 2>lad is doing dive in like yeah, I feel like
<v Speaker 2>though that it's it's the joke that you tell once
<v Speaker 2>and you don't tell again because everyone heard it and
<v Speaker 2>everyone and it's not going to hit the same way again,
<v Speaker 2>you know what I mean. You move on to a
<v Speaker 2>new new you gotta move on to like a new
<v Speaker 2>set up, new punchline. And it doesn't seem like they
<v Speaker 2>want to do that. It seems like they want to
<v Speaker 2>go like, well, if well we tell this joke again,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah in a different room.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah right, and again I get that tendency. I do.
<v Speaker 1>I hope it works out for them if it's very
<v Speaker 1>much like steam World. I'm a fan of the steam
<v Speaker 1>World approach. Not every steam World game works for me.
<v Speaker 1>I thought Build was okay. I don't regret playing Build,
<v Speaker 1>but I thought it was only okay.
<v Speaker 2>To the new ones.
<v Speaker 1>Do you?
<v Speaker 2>Oh god, it's so good, yeah, Banks, I haven't played
<v Speaker 2>steam World. Heist to play that game is so good, dude.
<v Speaker 1>And Dig two is one of my favorite games of
<v Speaker 1>all time. And I thought hand of gilgamesh what was
<v Speaker 1>that steam World like cards? I can't remember what they
<v Speaker 1>called it, but that was pretty good too. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's uh, let's get to the pole question. We're done
<v Speaker 1>with the news, all right. Yesterday I asked, are you
<v Speaker 1>getting the two hundred and fifty dollars four K in
<v Speaker 1>sixty four rio creation? A zero got put in there
<v Speaker 1>a recreation from analog? Eighty seven percent said no, but
<v Speaker 1>thirteen percent said yes. Thirteen percent of the one point
<v Speaker 1>seven thousand respondents. I like, yes, I'm going to get
<v Speaker 1>this in sixty four. That can work on my four
<v Speaker 1>K TV. I am already.
<v Speaker 2>You stole all this shut ship. That's what I want
<v Speaker 2>to know.
<v Speaker 1>I gotta I gotta closet over there that's overflowing, you know,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I I've come to realize, like, very recently,
<v Speaker 1>I've always been like I liked the N sixty four
<v Speaker 1>a lot, But very recent I'm like, man, I think
<v Speaker 1>maybe I do like the INN sixty four more than
<v Speaker 1>the GameCube.
<v Speaker 2>I was I was gonna buy this until I remembered
<v Speaker 2>Donkey Kong sixty four. Today, now I will no longer
<v Speaker 2>be buying this.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, listen, doc y Kong sixty four is that bad?
<v Speaker 1>I think that's a fair reaction to remembering that that
<v Speaker 1>game exists. I am different colored bananas that you could
<v Speaker 1>only collect with certain characters. Out of here.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like you should. You should, they should use
<v Speaker 2>that game in modern like game design courses to show
<v Speaker 2>you how bad it can get if you don't pay
<v Speaker 2>like close attention to respecting time of other people. Don't mistake,
<v Speaker 2>don't make the mistakes that Donkey Kong sixty four men.
<v Speaker 1>Now, dam I'm gonna read this tweet, and I think
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna change your mind about whether or not you
<v Speaker 1>want to buy this thing. I thank you using a
<v Speaker 1>chat for giving this to me. In a world obsessed
<v Speaker 1>with progress, yet haunted by impermanence, analog three D feels
<v Speaker 1>like an anomaly in the relentless march of progress, something
<v Speaker 1>essential is often lost. Now you want to buy it? Right?
<v Speaker 2>Oh the funck? Does that mean that's the whole tweet?
<v Speaker 1>Tam? I don't know?
<v Speaker 2>Wait your where's that tweet?
<v Speaker 1>I don't usually got copy to paste the text of
<v Speaker 1>the tweet here?
<v Speaker 2>And then can you can you post a tweet?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, post a tweet, We'll show Uh. Yeah, it's turboshawan
<v Speaker 1>a chat eloquently puts it. Uh Analog Marketing.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna I'm gonna reply to this tweet.
<v Speaker 1>Can fit the whole tweet? Okay, I see all right,
<v Speaker 1>there's more to it. Uh. With the Analog three D,
<v Speaker 1>we've sought to reclaim the soul of the in sixty four.
<v Speaker 1>It is more than technological. The creation of Analog three
<v Speaker 1>D is an act of defiance against the firm ephemeral
<v Speaker 1>nature of technology. It's a philosophical tribute to the art
<v Speaker 1>of an entire medium preserved with solemn dignity. Pre order
<v Speaker 1>October twenty first, eight a m. Pacific Daylight Savings Time
<v Speaker 1>Analog dot Co. Sorry, I gotta go cancel, Mike.
<v Speaker 2>I cannot even I can't even find this tweet.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna they just put put it in a and chat.
<v Speaker 1>Uh if you go to analog at analog with the
<v Speaker 1>you know the British spelling U E.
<v Speaker 2>At the end.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm bad. I'm gonna unsend my email requesting one
<v Speaker 1>of these. I'm sorry that what what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 1>It's a box that plays Conquers bad Verday, it plays
<v Speaker 1>Excite Bike sixty four. It is not a stand against
<v Speaker 1>the ephemeral nature of technology. What are you talking.
<v Speaker 2>You're just gonna quote you just put the fries in
<v Speaker 2>the back.
<v Speaker 1>Bro. Oh damn, you're very good at tweet. And you
<v Speaker 1>ever told you that you're just very good at it?
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, put the price in the bag, bro. Like the
<v Speaker 2>recent comment common thing.
<v Speaker 1>Holy shmowly. Okay, new pole question here in a second,
<v Speaker 1>while we're getting that set up, tam, do you have
<v Speaker 1>anything on the internet you want to tell people about
<v Speaker 1>where they could find you on the on the internet,
<v Speaker 1>all that good stuff.
<v Speaker 2>You find me out to more h everywhere I'm doing
<v Speaker 2>stuff you know heron the keeping it move in. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean like that's pretty much. Watch the Marrio part
<v Speaker 2>you think from yesterday, because I watched the chunk of
<v Speaker 2>that and let me tell you, I'm not getting that
<v Speaker 2>time back. And I don't want to be the only
<v Speaker 2>person that's so that's fair. Absolutely everyone else should should
<v Speaker 2>do the same.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, okay, new pole question. Do you want a
<v Speaker 1>god to our TV show? Yes? Or now? I'm just
<v Speaker 1>kind of curious to see what the temperature is for
<v Speaker 1>all you folks. You know, it doesn't mean you don't
<v Speaker 1>get the next game. If you say yes, If you
<v Speaker 1>say yes, the game still comes when it comes. I
<v Speaker 1>just do you do you care this show exists? So
<v Speaker 1>it's that little of steaks low steaks here you could
<v Speaker 1>say yes and you still get all the other stuff.
<v Speaker 1>All Right, we'll get the response to that. We'll talk
<v Speaker 1>about it on Game Mess Mornings here on Giant Bomb
<v Speaker 1>on Monday speaking a Giant Bomb Astrobat Open starts at
<v Speaker 1>ten am Pacific time, one pm Eastern. That will that
<v Speaker 1>will take the place of UPF. There's no BCR And yes,
<v Speaker 1>as Tam mentioned, you should go watch Mario Party Party
<v Speaker 1>from last night. It was I mean, it wasn't just
<v Speaker 1>Mario Party Party. It was also the nine to nine
<v Speaker 1>to nine challenge, Tam, did you see the combination of that?
<v Speaker 2>I was out by then.
<v Speaker 1>So Jan challenge, Well, we challenged I think we just
<v Speaker 1>challenged the universe. And Jan took it as a challenge
<v Speaker 1>to himself that hey, can you eat nine hot dogs
<v Speaker 1>drink nine beers in nine innings of a baseball game?
<v Speaker 1>And that became in thirty turns Mario Party Jamboree. So
<v Speaker 1>you should go watch that. Everybody, he did this to
<v Speaker 1>himself out, you know, does he get across the finish line?
<v Speaker 1>Can he do it, go watch You need to see
<v Speaker 1>these things for yourself. You need to be able to
<v Speaker 1>tell your children about this. And then Mario Party was
<v Speaker 1>also kind of it was a fun time to watch.
<v Speaker 1>I bet more fun than I was having. It was
<v Speaker 1>rough tam yesterday, I got up at the first thing,
<v Speaker 1>did a two hour appointment for my kid where I
<v Speaker 1>had to talk the entire time because it was more
<v Speaker 1>about interviewing me about her than I did Game mess Mornings.
<v Speaker 1>Then I streamed Astrobat, then we did Voice Smell Dump Truck,
<v Speaker 1>then I did my Game Mess Decides podcast, and then
<v Speaker 1>we did four and a half hours of Mario Party's part.
<v Speaker 1>It was brutal and then and then Dan and Mike
<v Speaker 1>were like, he's just pretending to be upset. He's just
<v Speaker 1>pretending to be tired. Now I'm literally literally dying here.
<v Speaker 1>Then I felt bad because Jan that's.
<v Speaker 2>The kind of that's the kind of point where you know,
<v Speaker 2>like Danny is like one second awa if from going
<v Speaker 2>do you want to watch my Grooba now or something
<v Speaker 2>crazy like that, and.
<v Speaker 1>You're like, I do, I I do have messages from
<v Speaker 1>the three of them last night where right after we
<v Speaker 1>got done, Mike said, hey, we should play Mario Party
<v Speaker 1>and Dan was like, yeah, A thirty turns sounds good,
<v Speaker 1>and I just I don't. I wasn't in the mood
<v Speaker 1>for their jokes. I wasn't in the mood, and I
<v Speaker 1>just went to sleep.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>Uh boy, I think we've covered everything. Tam, thank you
<v Speaker 1>so much for hanging out with me today and talking
<v Speaker 1>about video games. Man, I really appreciate it.
<v Speaker 2>It's good to be here once again.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, thank you all for listening and watching. Any any
<v Speaker 1>final thoughts, Tam, uh no, be cool, Yeah, be cool everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Until next time, have a good one, take care of yourself,
<v Speaker 1>and goodbye. Be the best audience in gaming.
