<v Speaker 5>and you know this guy. This guy is DJ Kuzmo
<v Speaker 5>and I'm welcoming into the NXT review today. What's going on, Sarah?
<v Speaker 5>How are you.

<v Speaker 1>That's right, This is your guy, DJ Kuzo, and we
<v Speaker 1>all live here with the NXC Podcast. I'm making my
<v Speaker 1>guest apparents. That's right, folks, this is me DJ Kuzbo.
<v Speaker 1>You know this is not the mailbag, this is the
<v Speaker 1>NXT Podcast. As I am here because you know, this
<v Speaker 1>is my first experience going to the NXC show live
<v Speaker 1>and in person so I had to jump on this
<v Speaker 1>episode today with my man Jay and let's get to
<v Speaker 1>the show because this was a ten out of ten
<v Speaker 1>in my book, A great experience, intimate setting.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, absolutely it was, let me tell you it was.
<v Speaker 5>It was great going to this show. It was great media.
<v Speaker 5>I met me and DJ meant for the first time
<v Speaker 5>in person. Great to meet him. Yeah, And it was
<v Speaker 5>just it was a great show from start to finish. Uh,
<v Speaker 5>we're gonna talk about the show. We're gonna tell you
<v Speaker 5>about our feelings. We may go back and forth a
<v Speaker 5>little bit. That's okay. It's healthy discussion on wrestling. That's
<v Speaker 5>what we do. And before I get to the show itself,
<v Speaker 5>I have to ask you a question.
<v Speaker 3>What's going on?
<v Speaker 5>I have to just to me, is there anyone better
<v Speaker 5>right now than Stephanie the care Oh man?
<v Speaker 3>That is that is that? You know, that's a tough question.
<v Speaker 1>That's a tough question right now because you know, you
<v Speaker 1>got of course, you got the main roster.
<v Speaker 3>What's going on with you know, Rio Ripley and of
<v Speaker 3>course EO. Sky.
<v Speaker 1>But right now in the I guess you could say
<v Speaker 1>in the woman's wrestling spear of things, Stephanie Vicoor is
<v Speaker 1>right up there. But I gotta say, I have to
<v Speaker 1>I have to acknowledge Julia.
<v Speaker 3>I have to acknowledge Julia. I love Julia.
<v Speaker 1>She should have won it last on Tuesday Night. But
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna give you the benefit of the out. Stephanie
<v Speaker 1>right now, she is at the top of her game.
<v Speaker 1>As I guess you could say, Stephanie.
<v Speaker 5>Two belts, and I think I saw the last time,
<v Speaker 5>so I know Keith Lee did it about what five
<v Speaker 5>years ago? Was it?
<v Speaker 3>Yes, back in twenty twenty. This was I believe. I
<v Speaker 3>was at the Great American Bash. He defeated it on
<v Speaker 3>Adam Cole, and.
<v Speaker 1>He was able to hold both the North American and
<v Speaker 1>the NXC Championship at the same.
<v Speaker 3>But what was strange was that I think he had
<v Speaker 3>it for just like.
<v Speaker 1>A couple of like a week or two weeks, and
<v Speaker 1>then he decided to relinquish the North American Championship because
<v Speaker 1>you know, he wanted to have somebody else, you know,
<v Speaker 1>contend for that championship and let.
<v Speaker 3>Him focus on the NXTD Championship.
<v Speaker 1>So hopefully LESSI what happens with Stefanie Record holds on
<v Speaker 1>the belts?
<v Speaker 5>You know, a deal, oh Man I'm losing you a
<v Speaker 5>little bit, just say you now. Yeah, No, I'm just saying,
<v Speaker 5>you know, I'm losing you a little bit, but we're
<v Speaker 5>gonna keep going because this is already starting to be
<v Speaker 5>a banger show. Just wanted to let you know ahead
<v Speaker 5>of time. So listen, So listen. I know I was
<v Speaker 5>actually thinking, and I don't know if you know my
<v Speaker 5>story at all, but I wasn't watching wrestling in twenty twenty. Okay,
<v Speaker 5>So I was actually thinking, you know, being a little
<v Speaker 5>bit older. I think I'm older than you are too.
<v Speaker 5>I was actually thinking WrestleMania six, Okay, you got Hogan Warrior,
<v Speaker 5>You got Warrior getting both belts, and then you had
<v Speaker 5>to relinquish the IC title and carry the main WWF title.
<v Speaker 3>At the time, right, Okay.
<v Speaker 5>So I was wondering if they were going to do
<v Speaker 5>a similar thing with Stephanie and say, congratulations, I winning
<v Speaker 5>two belts. Now give us that North American title so
<v Speaker 5>we can have a tournament or something and you can
<v Speaker 5>keep the NXT title. What do you think about that?
<v Speaker 3>You know, I'm thinking. The first thought that I had was,
<v Speaker 3>at first, you can hear me out, give me good,
<v Speaker 3>all right?
<v Speaker 1>At first, I thought something was gonna happen, like some
<v Speaker 1>sort of Shenanigan was gonna happen.
<v Speaker 3>You know, maybe we may get a debut of another
<v Speaker 3>wrestler or somebody may come about. But nothing happened. So
<v Speaker 3>we had Stephanie with the two belts.
<v Speaker 1>So that was my first thought that we was gonna
<v Speaker 1>have some sort of Shenanigans, but nothing happened. The second
<v Speaker 1>thought was that possibly they may combine the boat belts.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they combined both the NXT Women's Championship and
<v Speaker 1>the NXT North American Women's Championship, even though of course
<v Speaker 1>they recently, you know, just brought about this new championship
<v Speaker 1>for the women's division at NXT.
<v Speaker 3>So that was my second thought.
<v Speaker 1>But now you mentioned the fact that maybe just maybe
<v Speaker 1>Stephanie Record could relinquish the North American.
<v Speaker 3>Right, and.
<v Speaker 1>Let's say if Ava the general manager of NXT, she
<v Speaker 1>throws a tournament, and the winner of that tournament, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the finals were let's say it at standard deliver the
<v Speaker 1>finals that could be for that vacant, vacant North American
<v Speaker 1>Women's Championship.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah no, that's you know whatever. I can't wait to
<v Speaker 5>see what they decided to do I mean, I know,
<v Speaker 5>I know, uh, I know Fallon Henley. Well, we'll talk
<v Speaker 5>about the show in a second. I know Falon Heley
<v Speaker 5>was complaining about she never got her title, her rematch, she.
<v Speaker 1>Couln't get a rematch, like like I want my rematch,
<v Speaker 1>I want my rematch anymore?
<v Speaker 3>Does not actually happen anymore? Really?
<v Speaker 5>Like is that like is there a I don't know,
<v Speaker 5>I don't know of any time where there's an automatic
<v Speaker 5>clause for so many gets like did Jay who so ever?
<v Speaker 5>Did he get a rematch? I don't remember anyway.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, it's it's like it's it's like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>it's not set in stone. It's just like some imaginary
<v Speaker 1>rule that automatically you're supposed to get a rematch, even
<v Speaker 1>if you.
<v Speaker 3>You lost a title match.
<v Speaker 1>You know, you defended the championship, then you dropped the title,
<v Speaker 1>you're supposed to get a rematch. I don't see that
<v Speaker 1>rule anywhere. It's some floating around. But let's see what
<v Speaker 1>happens with what Fallon is if she gets a rematch.
<v Speaker 5>Let's talk about let's talk about the event itself before
<v Speaker 5>we get into the card. Let's talk about the venue.
<v Speaker 5>So the venue was not a Madison Square Garden. But
<v Speaker 5>the theater which is which is a theater that's on
<v Speaker 5>is it on top of below? I don't know where
<v Speaker 5>it is, but it's it's in the same building as
<v Speaker 5>Madison Square Garden. There's a theater. It's it's not it's
<v Speaker 5>not a large theater. It probably holds what maybe two
<v Speaker 5>thousand people. Yeah, And and so the way they set
<v Speaker 5>it up just you know, for those of you that
<v Speaker 5>saw it and don't you know you wanted to know
<v Speaker 5>about from my perspective, they put the ring on the floor,
<v Speaker 5>the stage was the stage because it's a it's a
<v Speaker 5>regular auditorium type type venue. The stage was where the
<v Speaker 5>where the hardcam was, and it faced the crowd, and
<v Speaker 5>so it looked huge. If you watch it on TV,
<v Speaker 5>it looks huge, but it's actually, you know, like I said,
<v Speaker 5>about two thousand p and this place was sold out.
<v Speaker 1>That's what it said, That's what I said on the poster.
<v Speaker 1>When I saw it outside, I was like, wait a minute, already,
<v Speaker 1>like it was sold out. And from my advantage point,
<v Speaker 1>like I had a good view. I really had a
<v Speaker 1>good view, because at first it looked like, Okay.
<v Speaker 3>I'm outside.
<v Speaker 6>First of all, I was looking for the entrance, like
<v Speaker 6>where is the entrance to the theater at Madison Square
<v Speaker 6>gard That's all another can of words that could be
<v Speaker 6>for another episode. But anyway, I gotta say that it
<v Speaker 6>was a in person, it looked like a nice intimate setting,
<v Speaker 6>like the way I was because at first I was
<v Speaker 6>I was thinking, am I going to be far away?
<v Speaker 6>Because my last the last time I went to WW
<v Speaker 6>show it was literally the Nosebleeds.
<v Speaker 3>It was at the Barkley Center. It was at the
<v Speaker 3>Barkley Center.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was like I think it was a windy
<v Speaker 1>night Royal episode before the pandemic, and it was like
<v Speaker 1>way up.
<v Speaker 3>In the Nosebleeds. It was like I'd rather be. I
<v Speaker 3>want to be close to the action as possible.
<v Speaker 1>Even though this was kind of like that, I was
<v Speaker 1>about the purchase this ticket, but the was great.
<v Speaker 5>I feel like, I feel like if you're sitting down,
<v Speaker 5>there was really no bed view in the whole building. Right.
<v Speaker 5>I will say though, that a concert setting, a concert
<v Speaker 5>auditorium setting is not made for people standing, and there
<v Speaker 5>was a lot of people standing during this show. During
<v Speaker 5>every match, there was just sitting standing. My father, you
<v Speaker 5>saw my father other day, He's in a chair and
<v Speaker 5>we're like, I'm like holding him up, holding him because
<v Speaker 5>he wants to see.
<v Speaker 3>We're in the back row.
<v Speaker 5>I'm holding him up so you can see, and and
<v Speaker 5>it was, Yeah, it's just unfortunately it's Madison Square Guard itself.
<v Speaker 5>It's made for people to stand and you can always
<v Speaker 5>see over top of somebody's head. The theory not as
<v Speaker 5>not as much, but overall it was a great setting.
<v Speaker 5>It was a great show. We're going to get into
<v Speaker 5>the matches in a second, but yeah, I have like,
<v Speaker 5>before we go through, I just want to let you
<v Speaker 5>know I have no issue with any single match that
<v Speaker 5>all the five matches were a plus.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I gotta say, yeah, there were. I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to say there was a downer, but I could probably
<v Speaker 1>say maybe the Rocks and Jordan's Grace match. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>I'm not trying to, you know, throw ship on it.
<v Speaker 1>But it was was that right, It wasn't you know, spectacular.
<v Speaker 1>You know what you're gonna get from these two.
<v Speaker 5>My father looks at me. If people are shouting this
<v Speaker 5>is awesome during the match, I didn't listen. The two
<v Speaker 5>together are great. My father looks at me, and goes Man,
<v Speaker 5>maybe not so much. This match is awesome, but everything
<v Speaker 5>else is just cracking me out. He's by the way,
<v Speaker 5>he's gonna listen to this podcast and he's like he's
<v Speaker 5>gonna be like, oh my god, I can't believe.
<v Speaker 3>And the funny thing is.
<v Speaker 1>The funny thing is that like for every match, and
<v Speaker 1>for every match, like everybody was shatty.
<v Speaker 3>This is awesome. Everybody was shouting, oh.
<v Speaker 1>Five, and I'm like, I was sitting next to a
<v Speaker 1>couple of wrestling fans and I'm like, oh, for the
<v Speaker 1>like the ob and Moose match, I was like, the
<v Speaker 1>mets just started and they're chatting, this is awesome. Like
<v Speaker 1>it was guys, guys, let's just slee for the match.
<v Speaker 5>It was that kind of vibe. It was. It was
<v Speaker 5>a great vibe. Well, let's let's let's run through the card.
<v Speaker 5>But I actually I will also talk a little bit
<v Speaker 5>about the backstage. There's one there was one backstage a
<v Speaker 5>thing that happened that really took my I want to
<v Speaker 5>talk about that, but let's go through the roster. It's okay, sure.
<v Speaker 5>So the first so we have uh, you know, NXT roadblock.
<v Speaker 5>It is coming from the theater I managed the Square
<v Speaker 5>Garden on March eleventh, five in New York City. We
<v Speaker 5>have as your commentators. We have Vic Joseph, we had
<v Speaker 5>Booker t we have Corey Graves and your ring announcer
<v Speaker 5>was Mike Rome. The first match we have, I mean
<v Speaker 5>this could have made evented. The first match we had
<v Speaker 5>was the Hardy Boys against Fhraxium DNA World eight Team Championship.
<v Speaker 5>Tell me what you think about that.
<v Speaker 3>Match, man. I First, first, I gotta say I saw
<v Speaker 3>the Hardy Boys.
<v Speaker 1>I saw the Hardy Boys for so many years that
<v Speaker 1>I've seen them on TV, at wrestlemingians, at pay per views.
<v Speaker 1>I have seen the herd, and I think they're in
<v Speaker 1>your fifties. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're in
<v Speaker 1>their fifties something like that.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, that's close. If they're not there, they're close, like.
<v Speaker 3>Like close to like maybe forty nine ish, you know.
<v Speaker 1>But man, I gotta say the match was The match
<v Speaker 1>was incredible, A great way to start the show. Two
<v Speaker 1>of the best tag teams in the business today. Fractionum.
<v Speaker 1>I think they're officially they are officially called Fractionum, but
<v Speaker 1>I saw it on social media.
<v Speaker 3>They are not officially called fraction.
<v Speaker 5>That's true, yes, yeah.
<v Speaker 3>But it was a great match, absolutely great match, great
<v Speaker 3>to start the show.
<v Speaker 5>It really was a fantastic match. There was no slow
<v Speaker 5>points in this match. It was I mean, I hate
<v Speaker 5>to say, it was almost like no holes Barn, like
<v Speaker 5>just just in the not because there was a no DQ,
<v Speaker 5>but just because nobody held anything. It was all jumping
<v Speaker 5>and flying man just to see you Matt and Jeff
<v Speaker 5>do the thing do the things that they do at
<v Speaker 5>the age.
<v Speaker 3>It's just amazing.
<v Speaker 1>And they're still going strong for so many decades now,
<v Speaker 1>and it's like, and they got TNA, I think they're on.
<v Speaker 3>They're going to be at Sacrifice.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Jeff Hardy's got a match with Boose and then
<v Speaker 1>Matt Hardy is going to be included in this big
<v Speaker 1>time tag, this ten man tag teamssine a Steel Cage
<v Speaker 1>with Joe Hendry. So they're going to be doing a
<v Speaker 1>lot of stuff in TNA. We're definitely going to see
<v Speaker 1>them in NXT again because I think.
<v Speaker 5>You're gonna be a stand and deliver, So I just yeah,
<v Speaker 5>I think it's so so basically at the end of
<v Speaker 5>the match, there was a twist of fate axiom counter
<v Speaker 5>with a backslide cover to camp Axiom has you know,
<v Speaker 5>just a raising knee strike tags in Fraser actually inadvertently
<v Speaker 5>clocks Fraser with a missile drop. Yes, it's and it's
<v Speaker 5>and it's kind of an ongoing thing with them. Is
<v Speaker 5>that is that somebody accidentally hits the other person? You
<v Speaker 5>notice that?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>I think this is I think this was like the
<v Speaker 4>second or third time that this happened. I think the
<v Speaker 4>other time was that what was it that vengeance day?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so I was thinking, I was thinking, is this
<v Speaker 1>a possible tease that one of them is.
<v Speaker 3>Going to each other? I was thinking that, you know.
<v Speaker 5>Right, And then so at the very end of the match,
<v Speaker 5>Matt Matt hits a twist of fate. Uh, and then
<v Speaker 5>Jeff Swanton amazing Swanton, I mean he looks he looks
<v Speaker 5>the same as he did back in the early two thousands.
<v Speaker 3>Amazing, amazing.
<v Speaker 5>Everybody was show the winner is still TNA World Tag
<v Speaker 5>Team Champions are the hardy boys again?
<v Speaker 3>Yes, everybody.
<v Speaker 1>By where I was at throughout the the rowdy section
<v Speaker 1>that I was that everybody was.
<v Speaker 3>Chatting Swan Swantan.
<v Speaker 1>When Jeff Party was about to the top, I was
<v Speaker 1>like protection it's over.
<v Speaker 5>Absolutely, so it was it was listen, it was like
<v Speaker 5>it was it set the table for the rest of
<v Speaker 5>the night, did not and it was I mean just
<v Speaker 5>right out of the gate, right out of the gate.
<v Speaker 5>So all right. So then we had about some backstage segments.
<v Speaker 5>We had Jada Parker Mickey James talking and it's basically
<v Speaker 5>it was Jada Parker saying that she got next against
<v Speaker 5>the winner of Stephanie and Julia. So, okay, a little
<v Speaker 5>little backstage thing, a little pull the curtain for your mind.
<v Speaker 5>So I heard that Julia and Stephanie was supposed to
<v Speaker 5>be for Stand and Deliver, right, and then the reason
<v Speaker 5>why they had to bump it to roadblock was because
<v Speaker 5>Julia got hurt somehow and she has to have surgery,
<v Speaker 5>so they wanted to do the match now so that
<v Speaker 5>she could go out to have surgery and then come
<v Speaker 5>back faster. So I don't know if you heard.
<v Speaker 3>That, I was. I was meet a couple of wrestling times.
<v Speaker 3>He was kind of talking about that, But I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>If it was actually legit that you know, she was
<v Speaker 1>battling with some injuries.
<v Speaker 3>I didn't was just a rule.
<v Speaker 5>Don't be surprised if Julia goes away for a little while,
<v Speaker 5>but so it's it sounds like they're setting up for
<v Speaker 5>a stand and deliver possibly Stephanie and Jada Parker.
<v Speaker 1>Looks like interesting, interesting, but but will it be? But
<v Speaker 1>then the question is will it be for the North
<v Speaker 1>American title?
<v Speaker 3>The women's North American title? Will be for the NXC
<v Speaker 3>women's title.
<v Speaker 5>Well, if you're doing Jada, that's the big one, so
<v Speaker 5>we'll I definitely have to see about that. So yeah, definitely.
<v Speaker 5>So then after that we have Stacks and and he's talking,
<v Speaker 5>and they're talking about how they're setting up a six
<v Speaker 5>man a six person tag because I guess the women
<v Speaker 5>are involved to basically with everybody from from the color
<v Speaker 5>the color is that what they're called?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that was just a weird name.
<v Speaker 1>Our first I thought I thought it was called the
<v Speaker 1>coming like C O, M I N G. But the
<v Speaker 1>coloring that's like, uh, you know, you know. Another rest
<v Speaker 1>of offend in the crowd was.
<v Speaker 3>Like, that's a terrible name for fact.
<v Speaker 5>Mean, come on, so you got so you got the
<v Speaker 5>three guys in the column that's not Spears, Sean Spears.
<v Speaker 5>I think you've got the three the three guys from
<v Speaker 5>the family. That's not the Don. So that's said that
<v Speaker 5>that was set up for next week. So and it
<v Speaker 5>looks like there's some tension between the Don and Stack,
<v Speaker 5>so that that's gonna be an interesting thing.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's it's the seeds I've been planted for like
<v Speaker 1>the past couple of weeks. At first, I thought I
<v Speaker 1>think it was the doing the steel cage.
<v Speaker 5>Man.
<v Speaker 1>I thought that was gonna be the turn where Stax
<v Speaker 1>was gonna, you know, teach the family and you know,
<v Speaker 1>turn on you know, turn on the Don. But that
<v Speaker 1>didn't happen yet. But it's gonna come to a point
<v Speaker 1>maybe I stand and deliver, you know, but it seems
<v Speaker 1>like you get into that destination for sure.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, great, so listen, man, we are cooking. How you
<v Speaker 5>feeling so far?
<v Speaker 1>Man, let's keep going because I know we got a
<v Speaker 1>hell of a lot of matches to continue.
<v Speaker 5>So the next match we have, the second match would
<v Speaker 5>be Jordan Grace and Roxanne Perez. That's that's that's what
<v Speaker 5>I have in my little run sheets. So that's what
<v Speaker 5>I say. Uh So, basically, so this is this is
<v Speaker 5>the match that you and I kind of already touched
<v Speaker 5>about that of the five matches, if all of them,
<v Speaker 5>if the four of them are A, this is like B.
<v Speaker 5>It wasn't a bad match. And actually I thought, you
<v Speaker 5>have you watched it on TV since.
<v Speaker 3>Well, I've watched the highlights.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't watched the entire like the show, but just
<v Speaker 1>the highlights of the match.
<v Speaker 5>Well, so I watched it, and I watched it on
<v Speaker 5>the c W app. By the way, if you can
<v Speaker 5>watch it on the c W app, they don't take
<v Speaker 5>out the swears, so something to you know, if you're
<v Speaker 5>interested in it. Just so you know, not just you,
<v Speaker 5>but everybody who's listening, watch the wa when they start
<v Speaker 5>saying holy. By the way, DJ Cuzmo, this is a
<v Speaker 5>gig show, so we have to say holy, yes, just
<v Speaker 5>so you.
<v Speaker 3>Have to Yeah, yeah, it's just yeah, there's there. This
<v Speaker 3>is a family program, y'all. Here, no customer swears.
<v Speaker 5>So so like anyway, So moving on, So I feel
<v Speaker 5>that it translated better on TV than it did in
<v Speaker 5>live person.
<v Speaker 1>This this this match.
<v Speaker 5>But still I would say it was like one A
<v Speaker 5>for everybody, one B for this.
<v Speaker 1>You know. Yeah, I kind of felt that way too.
<v Speaker 1>And then at the same time, I'm thinking, is this
<v Speaker 1>going to be her last?
<v Speaker 3>Match. You know, is this gonna be her Roxhand last
<v Speaker 3>match at NXC because now she's involved with Daily.
<v Speaker 1>We see a couple of appearances on Raw, so I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>she lost to Jordan Grace, so obviously they're focusing right
<v Speaker 1>now on Jordan Grace. At Roxhand, Perez did the majority
<v Speaker 1>of you know, she was a champion and she's the
<v Speaker 1>main event in pl e's I think this is her exit.
<v Speaker 1>This is her swan song to leave NXT and to
<v Speaker 1>fully move to the main roster. So I'm thinking maybe
<v Speaker 1>this was her last match for her last.
<v Speaker 5>There's history in what you're saying. It seems like most
<v Speaker 5>everybody that's ready to go to the next level, they
<v Speaker 5>lose to put somebody over, right right, right, So yeah,
<v Speaker 5>it's uh, I feeling that she did that with Jordan,
<v Speaker 5>not that Jordan's we put over, but you know, I

<v Speaker 5>and having it on the CW number two is that
<v Speaker 5>we got cut off from a match that could have
