<v Speaker 1>is probably one of the most heated and fun podcasts
<v Speaker 1>that I've done in quite some time, as my co
<v Speaker 1>host and I get into a really just a fun
<v Speaker 1>debate over the Firefly Funhouse match that is in the
<v Speaker 1>first half of the show, so you're gonna want to
<v Speaker 1>stay tuned for that, and overall was just a recap
<v Speaker 1>of WrestleMania, our thoughts and where it could be going,
<v Speaker 1>and just a great conversation as I've never had this
<v Speaker 1>conversation or this group before this, this tandem of Zach
<v Speaker 1>and Mary, so a new pairing as we get into
<v Speaker 1>the WrestleMania review and WrestleMania is over, right, so things
<v Speaker 1>are about to return to quote normal. I wish the
<v Speaker 1>rest of our lives would, right, But we're about to
<v Speaker 1>go into a new season of WWE and look forward
<v Speaker 1>to money in the bank that comes to us I
<v Speaker 1>think may tenth or so, don't quote me on that.
<v Speaker 1>So we have another pay per view that we can
<v Speaker 1>hang our hat on, and the WrestleMania hangover is real
<v Speaker 1>and it's comets gone. It will be looked at. Its
<v Speaker 1>probably one of the most unique, if not the most unique.
<v Speaker 1>And you know, I say unique, but that's really a
<v Speaker 1>cover for disappointing in terms of there were no fans,
<v Speaker 1>not the fact of the wrestlers not giving effort. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>these guys and gals busted their asses over the last
<v Speaker 1>few weeks to get WrestleMania taped, and the effort was
<v Speaker 1>certainly there, but with no audience. Let's be honest. No
<v Speaker 1>audience takes the heart and soul out of a presentation
<v Speaker 1>of pro wrestling. I mean, it just does. So it
<v Speaker 1>was still hard. There were a few matches on the
<v Speaker 1>card that I think were able to make me forget
<v Speaker 1>that there was no audience at times, and that was
<v Speaker 1>on really well, it was on Part one of WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>with Kevin Owens and seth Rollins, which I believe was
<v Speaker 1>possibly the match of the entire pay per view. They
<v Speaker 1>tore it down, they burned it down. I should probably
<v Speaker 1>say right, but this was a pay per view that
<v Speaker 1>had its moments. I think that most people are not
<v Speaker 1>on my side of the Firefly Funhouse opinion, and you'll
<v Speaker 1>get to hear that as we roll on. So this
<v Speaker 1>is a long one, guys. As I said at the top,
<v Speaker 1>this is a long, long, long podcast. As you look
<v Speaker 1>at your length of this show, but I think that's
<v Speaker 1>a good thing because you get to sit, dive in.
<v Speaker 1>You got time on your hands, right, this is the
<v Speaker 1>time to sit back, enjoy. If you're going for a
<v Speaker 1>drive and listening to me, well great. If you're going
<v Speaker 1>for a walk, I think that's school too. If you're
<v Speaker 1>just sitting there on your couch or you're falling asleep
<v Speaker 1>to me, which apparently some people do, I'll take that
<v Speaker 1>as a compliment. It's all good. But thank you guys

<v Speaker 1>what happened at WrestleMania, see where they could be going,
<v Speaker 1>and all pray and hope that we are back to
<v Speaker 1>a live audience sooner than later, because boy, there were
<v Speaker 1>certain matches that had hurt more than others, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>you felt I really felt for Edge and Drew McIntyre.
<v Speaker 1>Those are the two that I really felt for in
<v Speaker 1>terms of no crowd, because you wanted McIntyre to have
<v Speaker 1>that moment with fans that have been maybe following his
<v Speaker 1>career and realizing that he has had, you know, a
<v Speaker 1>lot of bad luck throughout his career and that he
<v Speaker 1>has earned his spot, he's paid his dues, he's cut
<v Speaker 1>his teeth, and we don't get to celebrate that with him,
<v Speaker 1>and really with Edge and his comeback, not being able
<v Speaker 1>to share that moment with the fans is tough too.
<v Speaker 1>So you know, look, we all need to get back
<v Speaker 1>to our regular lives at some point. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>who that is, but we kind of look forward to
<v Speaker 1>it and realize that every minute that goes by, we're
<v Speaker 1>getting closer to it. Oh and before we get going,
<v Speaker 1>of course, I want to shout out to our newest

<v Speaker 3>a lot of people didn't like it, but I I
<v Speaker 3>could see this is a good thing. I could see
<v Speaker 3>her taking some time off soon to get married. Seth
<v Speaker 3>rawlins and uh possibly getting attacked backstage by Shanna Basler. Really,
<v Speaker 3>you know, really get some heat on her, take some
<v Speaker 3>time off, getting married in the meantime, maybe he's SHANEA.
<v Speaker 3>Baisley and just destroy the whole women's division. Just get
<v Speaker 3>a lot of heat, you know. A couple of months
<v Speaker 3>down down the road, Becky's music hits boom, big pop,
<v Speaker 3>you know, and you get this, a few started back up.
<v Speaker 3>So I don't know, what do you guys think about
<v Speaker 3>that scenario?

<v Speaker 1>And that's a good point. As far as Becky Lynch leaving,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't I didn't even really think about that. As
<v Speaker 1>far as Becky Lynch taking some time off, I know
<v Speaker 1>that it could certainly help her taking time off. If
<v Speaker 1>the goal is to keep her a baby face, if
<v Speaker 1>the goal is to turn her heel, well they've go
<v Speaker 1>certainly got a lot to pull from with her arrogance
<v Speaker 1>and her goat jackets and her semi trucks that she
<v Speaker 1>drives apparently to every arena with her face plastered on
<v Speaker 1>it and talking about how the greatest of all time
<v Speaker 1>she is and basically she escaped Shanna Basler, So you know,
<v Speaker 1>Shana could run rough shot again, get her heat back.
<v Speaker 1>It's certainly possible, and talk about how Becky escaped her.
<v Speaker 1>She didn't beat her, but Becky Lynch taking time off
<v Speaker 1>maybe the best thing Becky Lynch has done for her career.
<v Speaker 1>And so I'm on board with it. I like the thought.

<v Speaker 1>it down with our WRESTLEMANIIR review. Welcome to night two
<v Speaker 1>of the WrestleMania Review, as Part two is going to
<v Speaker 1>be covered right now with Mary Grater and Zack Smith.
<v Speaker 1>That have never done a podcast in tandem with me before,
<v Speaker 1>so this is also a first as my podcast was
<v Speaker 1>just too big for one night and I had to
<v Speaker 1>do two or separate reviews. So right now I'd like
<v Speaker 1>to welcome Mary back to the show and Zach. So Mary,
<v Speaker 1>I'll start with you, how's everything going? You hanging in
<v Speaker 1>there with this whole, this whole lockdown that's in effect
<v Speaker 1>and starting to adjust to our new lives as we're
<v Speaker 1>all quarantined.
<v Speaker 4>I'm doing the best I can. Dealing with with older
<v Speaker 4>parents sucks and and yeah, I mean it's a new
<v Speaker 4>norm at this point, right. I was in New York
<v Speaker 4>last week for work, which was kind of weird. Uh,
<v Speaker 4>they asked me to come in this week and I
<v Speaker 4>was like, I'm gonna hold off because crap's supposed to
<v Speaker 4>hit the fan this week. So yeah, I'm just trying
<v Speaker 4>to like keep myself busy, work out, do my schoolwork,
<v Speaker 4>which I really have no desire to do right now,
<v Speaker 4>because who wants to learn Spanish in the middle of apocalypse?
<v Speaker 4>And you know, I'm doing chores and stuff like that.
<v Speaker 4>So I guess I'm adjusting as well as possible. I'm
<v Speaker 4>a homebody, so it doesn't really bother me being home
<v Speaker 4>all the time, but like we can't go anywhere.
<v Speaker 1>It kind of sucks, no, I hear you. And it's
<v Speaker 1>like an introverts dream right now. I mean, like people,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm an introvert, so and I'm kind of loving this.
<v Speaker 1>It's starting to actually wear even on me. Believe it
<v Speaker 1>or not. I am a very big introvert. So well,
<v Speaker 1>that's good. I'm glad you're I'm glad that things are
<v Speaker 1>starting to settle in a little bit, a little bit,
<v Speaker 1>and I know I heard the same thing about this
<v Speaker 1>coming week supposed to be the peak of everything, and
<v Speaker 1>we'll see about that. I mean, there's so much unknown.
<v Speaker 1>But Zach, how about you? Are you hanging in there
<v Speaker 1>and in quarantine? I'm sure, man, I am.
<v Speaker 5>It's it's mad, it's Mary, it Zach. It's the team up.
<v Speaker 5>Nobody knew they needed, but here we are. I am
<v Speaker 5>doing fine. I am actually also an introverts. This has
<v Speaker 5>been fine for me, but I actually work at a
<v Speaker 5>grocery store down here, and so my wife works at
<v Speaker 5>a hospital.
<v Speaker 6>I work at a grocery store.
<v Speaker 5>So we're the last two people that are gonna be
<v Speaker 5>going home. So it has been more or less normal
<v Speaker 5>because I'm the same. I'm a homebody. But I mean,
<v Speaker 5>i'm you know, we're still working to get everybody everything
<v Speaker 5>they need. But I mean, I'm I'm certainly adjusted to it.
<v Speaker 5>I think it's it's definitely weird and hard to kind
<v Speaker 5>of wrap your head around, but it's not totally different
<v Speaker 5>from you know, what I've been doing, just work in
<v Speaker 5>the podcast.
<v Speaker 6>So it's it's been an adjustment, but I think we're
<v Speaker 6>doing good.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that's good to hear. And you know, you guys
<v Speaker 1>are I mean seriously, like anybody that works at a
<v Speaker 1>grocery stores in healthcare, you guys are the last ones
<v Speaker 1>out there.
<v Speaker 6>I mean that's we're not closing for anything. No, we're staying. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>No. Wow, Well, you know, props to you guys, stay
<v Speaker 1>safe obviously. I mean, I don't know how bad it
<v Speaker 1>is down You're in Florida, right, yeah, I'm in Florida.
<v Speaker 5>It's funny because well, we adjusted our time so we
<v Speaker 5>open at eight am. And every day now there's been
<v Speaker 5>about fifty people like lined up outside and they all
<v Speaker 5>like run in at the same time. And I'm like,
<v Speaker 5>I don't think that's that's going by the quarantine guidelines,
<v Speaker 5>but I mean it's been it's been funny to see
<v Speaker 5>and now everybody has a mask on and it's just
<v Speaker 5>it's very interesting.
<v Speaker 1>Wow. Yeah, that's that is. And I've seen so many
<v Speaker 1>funny memes about, you know, when you're fighting people in
<v Speaker 1>the aisle for toilet paper. One of them was when
<v Speaker 1>Stone Cold returned back in two thousand and one to
<v Speaker 1>save the WWF and he's just plowing through everyone, dropping
<v Speaker 1>stunners and it was just so many memes you could.
<v Speaker 1>You could attach wrestling too, so well, definitely two and
<v Speaker 1>your wife both stay safe, and let's jump into what
<v Speaker 1>the hell happened last night? And you know overall, let
<v Speaker 1>me just get your overall thought. Number one, I'll ask Mary,
<v Speaker 1>how are you liking the two night format? Did you
<v Speaker 1>like it? And what did you think overall about the
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania show, not just part two but just the whole
<v Speaker 1>you know, three and a half hours a piece type
<v Speaker 1>of structure.
<v Speaker 4>I think the two part thing was very much more
<v Speaker 4>easy to digest. It would have been a little different
<v Speaker 4>if there was an audience there, you know, I don't
<v Speaker 4>know if they could do too nice with that big
<v Speaker 4>of an audience, but it was much easier to watch.
<v Speaker 4>I liked it. I mean, you have to take it
<v Speaker 4>for what it's worth right now. They're doing the best
<v Speaker 4>that they could working in these weird circumstances, and it
<v Speaker 4>was very weird watching matches like that with no audience.
<v Speaker 4>So like like Charlotte last night, Charlotte and Ria Ripley
<v Speaker 4>was kind of annoying me at first because I rewatched
<v Speaker 4>it today. I rewatched everything today, accept Drew Rock, But
<v Speaker 4>like last night, it was just like they were just
<v Speaker 4>screaming the whole time, and you don't realize like how
<v Speaker 4>much you don't hear of them when there's a live
<v Speaker 4>audience covering it. So that's an adjustment. I don't feel
<v Speaker 4>like it's been that way so much on Raw and
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown is bad. But I know that they were like
<v Speaker 4>giving it one hundred and ten percent last night because
<v Speaker 4>and Saturday because they were trying and put on entertainment
<v Speaker 4>for everybody who's stuck at home right now and show
<v Speaker 4>what they do. But I hate it. I mean again,
<v Speaker 4>it's for what it was and what they had to
<v Speaker 4>work with, and like I guess, like making the arrangements
<v Speaker 4>last minute and doing it it was good. Did it
<v Speaker 4>feel like wrestle media. I don't really feel like it
<v Speaker 4>felt like WrestleMania. There's just nothing that can replace or
<v Speaker 4>replicate having hundreds of thousands of fans reacting to your match.
<v Speaker 4>And I was watching some of the matches that I
<v Speaker 4>was just like, oh my god, the crowd would be
<v Speaker 4>going bonkers right now they were there, so you know,
<v Speaker 4>the audience is as much a part of the show
<v Speaker 4>as the wrestlers are, and the stage production and not
<v Speaker 4>having the really long ramp. I saw that they snuck
<v Speaker 4>out like or showed sneak previews as some of the
<v Speaker 4>wrestlers entrances that were supposed to happen when they were
<v Speaker 4>supposed to be in Sampa Bay, So that was kind
<v Speaker 4>of disappointing and stuff like that. But I mean, the
<v Speaker 4>best part that came out of all this were the
<v Speaker 4>produced pieces that they did for Bray Wyatt and John
<v Speaker 4>Cena and Undertaker and aj Styles and everybody's raving about it.
<v Speaker 4>I agree. It was entertaining. It was different, and it
<v Speaker 4>kept you invested, and it was very very creative. It
<v Speaker 4>showed you the good side of the production team at WWA,
<v Speaker 4>So overall I liked it. I mean, it seems like
<v Speaker 4>every match was good for the most part. There were
<v Speaker 4>some matches that were kind of boring and I could
<v Speaker 4>have done without, but I mean Night one with Owens
<v Speaker 4>and seth Rawlins and the ladder match between the three guys,
<v Speaker 4>those matches were scene and they were really good. And
<v Speaker 4>I don't really have any complaints about WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>Zach, what about you?
<v Speaker 5>I tend to agree with Mary on that it definitely
<v Speaker 5>didn't quite feel like WrestleMania and I know for the
<v Speaker 5>last couple of weeks on the NXT podcast, the thing
<v Speaker 5>I would do up front, because there was really no
<v Speaker 5>other news, was kind of previewing WrestleMania, And obviously we
<v Speaker 5>knew there wasn't going to be a crowd, but my
<v Speaker 5>thinking was optimistic and that while there's not going to
<v Speaker 5>be a crowd, and Mary's exactly right, that definitely takes
<v Speaker 5>away from a lot of what they did.
<v Speaker 6>I felt like the ww was at.
<v Speaker 5>Least going to be able to play around with the production,
<v Speaker 5>and I saw a lot of it on NXT where
<v Speaker 5>they would start doing things differently, and I feel like
<v Speaker 5>it gave them a chance not only to do those
<v Speaker 5>produced pieces that were many movies in Bray Wyatt and
<v Speaker 5>the Undertaker's matches, but it allowed them to film it differently.
<v Speaker 5>And Mary's right, you could hear the wrestlers in the ring,
<v Speaker 5>and I feel like it adds a different element to
<v Speaker 5>it that you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. So obviously you
<v Speaker 5>can't replace you know, hundreds of thousands of fans, you know,
<v Speaker 5>in the arena going crazy for things, But I think
<v Speaker 5>given the cards that they were dealt, I feel like
<v Speaker 5>they pulled off something special, and it didn't feel like WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 5>but it did feel like something that.
<v Speaker 6>I haven't seen before.
<v Speaker 5>And that's what I'd like from wrestling, is seeing something
<v Speaker 5>that I haven't seen, and I definitely feel like I
<v Speaker 5>got that on both nights.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, you know, I do have to agree with you
<v Speaker 1>guys as far as how it felt. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>think we take for granted how important that a crowd
<v Speaker 1>is to the presentation of a pro wrestling event. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>especially WrestleMania. You know, it was at times hard to hear,
<v Speaker 1>and I felt for Drew McIntyre not being able to
<v Speaker 1>celebrate in front of eighty thousand fans, you know, screaming
<v Speaker 1>for him, and I felt bad for the guy after
<v Speaker 1>the journey he's been on to not get that adelation
<v Speaker 1>from the fans. But it was overall, I enjoyed the event.
<v Speaker 1>I certainly had some complaints, and I was very vocal
<v Speaker 1>on Twitter about them. I've since kind of walked back
<v Speaker 1>on some of that after watching WrestleMania and digesting it
<v Speaker 1>last night, and so I overall enjoyed it. They did
<v Speaker 1>what they could. I think they did the best that
<v Speaker 1>they could. Some of the things, again were a little
<v Speaker 1>eye rolling to me and we'll touch on it. But
<v Speaker 1>you know, as far as people talking about this two
<v Speaker 1>night format, I think everyone in Unison can say that
<v Speaker 1>a two night format in three hour increments is infinitely
<v Speaker 1>easier to absorb and digest, as you said, Mary, than
<v Speaker 1>having this seven to eight hour event that is just
<v Speaker 1>you are asleep by five hour five or you're just like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, how much longer do we have and
<v Speaker 1>you're looking at the card and you've still got four
<v Speaker 1>more matches to go. This was easier. But I don't
<v Speaker 1>think that when they go back to a live audience format,
<v Speaker 1>hopefully sometimes soon and for next year's WrestleMania, that they'll
<v Speaker 1>do that two night event because there's a lot of
<v Speaker 1>logistics that come with that. You're gonna have to have
<v Speaker 1>people rent hotel rooms maybe one or two more nights
<v Speaker 1>than they normally would, so it's an extra expense for
<v Speaker 1>people that attend. Plus WW would have to rent that
<v Speaker 1>stadium for another night and that's a hefty amount as well.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know how they would from a logistics standpoint,
<v Speaker 1>do a two night format once they get back to
<v Speaker 1>a stadium. But I certainly enjoyed it at least for
<v Speaker 1>what it was this year, and you know, at least
<v Speaker 1>they put a smile on my face, of which Stephanie
<v Speaker 1>McMahon was making sure that we knew that they love
<v Speaker 1>to do every single time that her face would pop up.
<v Speaker 1>I can't stand that. But anyway, I'm ready to jump
<v Speaker 1>into the matches because we got a lot to cover.
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready to just jump into this, and I'll start
<v Speaker 1>at what we saw last and that is the WWE
<v Speaker 1>Championship match with Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesner. Mary go
<v Speaker 1>for it.
<v Speaker 4>Like I said, I did get to rewatch it. That
<v Speaker 4>was the last thing right before we we hooked up
<v Speaker 4>to do the podcast. But watching it the night before
<v Speaker 4>last night, it seemed a little rushed. I feel like
<v Speaker 4>it was shorter than it should have been. But it
<v Speaker 4>was just two brutes like kind of going at it.
<v Speaker 4>I knew Drew mcatire was gonna win, and and like
<v Speaker 4>you said, it kind of took away from the crowd
<v Speaker 4>not being there from his win because the place would
<v Speaker 4>have went nuts. You know, if somebody finally conquered the
<v Speaker 4>Beast at WrestleMania, how long that's going to last? I
<v Speaker 4>don't know. I won't be surprised if Brock has the
<v Speaker 4>title back within the next year. But it was an
<v Speaker 4>overall good match. It was a lot a lot of
<v Speaker 4>the matches that happened were slobber dockers. It was very
<v Speaker 4>they were they were trying to make up for what
<v Speaker 4>they normally do. They were trying to make sure that
<v Speaker 4>they were brutal, and they were. They were real, more
<v Speaker 4>real feeling. I guess you could say when they were performing,
<v Speaker 4>but I I did have a problem with the outcome.
<v Speaker 4>I think that Drew was a good slayer to the Beast,
<v Speaker 4>like it was more can been saying then seth Rollins
<v Speaker 4>being this layer to the Beast, and overall it is
<v Speaker 4>what it was. It was a good match, nothing like

<v Speaker 4>better than the braun Strowman Colberg match. So I mean,
<v Speaker 4>if you're looking at the title matches, but I really
<v Speaker 4>don't have any major complaints about.
<v Speaker 6>It, Go ahead, Zach, Yeah, and I would agree with that.
<v Speaker 5>I think that the two people that were hurt the
<v Speaker 5>most by this not being in front of a live
<v Speaker 5>crowd were Drew MacIntyre and Edge, which we'll talk about later.
<v Speaker 5>But I feel like this match, and I think it
<v Speaker 5>was only something like four and a half minutes. It
<v Speaker 5>was weird because it felt like they still had the
<v Speaker 5>match that they planned on having in front of a crowd,
<v Speaker 5>and it feels like they didn't adjust. Whereas I feel
<v Speaker 5>like a lot of matches adjusted for their not being
<v Speaker 5>a crowd, this one felt like it was still very
<v Speaker 5>much built on these two guys who have built this story,
<v Speaker 5>and Drew keeps getting the better of Brock and then
<v Speaker 5>they have this, as Mary says Slaberknocker, of these two
<v Speaker 5>big hosses fighting it out, It very much felt like
<v Speaker 5>it was still built for all of that reaction, and
<v Speaker 5>it was still really cool. And it's that thing that
<v Speaker 5>wrestling can do where if you build a story right,
<v Speaker 5>and you build somebody right like Drew, I forget about
<v Speaker 5>all the stuff he's done before and I'm just excited
<v Speaker 5>to see his journey back. And so it was still
<v Speaker 5>a big, you know, emotional kind of moment for me
<v Speaker 5>seeing that payoff. But maybe more than anything except Edge's indurance,
<v Speaker 5>it made me wish there was a crowd just to
<v Speaker 5>hear them go crazy, because it was still very much
<v Speaker 5>built for that crescendo. So you still got it. But
<v Speaker 5>I just that's the one time I really wish the
<v Speaker 5>crowd was there because it definitely felt like they were
<v Speaker 5>supposed to be.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this was one of those moments, like you said,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's just a glaring omission for the audience
<v Speaker 1>not to be there, which it just hurt and there's
<v Speaker 1>obviously nothing anyone can do about it. But as far
<v Speaker 1>as the match quality goes, I mean, it was exactly
<v Speaker 1>what you'd expect. And you know, you mentioned Mary mentioned
<v Speaker 1>it kind of being or she did like it better
<v Speaker 1>than the Goldberg match with Braun Stroman, of which we
<v Speaker 1>never got an explanation how brown Stroman got to even
<v Speaker 1>an opportunity. But I won't even go there. But I
<v Speaker 1>think that that match, if you just inserted Brock and
<v Speaker 1>Brock and Drumcatarre into that, it's the same exact format.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it was the exact It's not just taking
<v Speaker 1>a page out of the book. They took the entire
<v Speaker 1>script from that match and just plugged it into Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre and Brock Lesner and so it still worked. But
<v Speaker 1>it was the exact same match, just two different guys
<v Speaker 1>and you know, the right man one. I think you
<v Speaker 1>could have made a case for brock Lesner winning. I
<v Speaker 1>actually picked brock Lesner to win because I think that WWE,
<v Speaker 1>or I thought w W would want Drew mcintarre to
<v Speaker 1>have that moment in front of fans maybe at SummerSlam
<v Speaker 1>by the time we're all back, hopefully at that time.
<v Speaker 1>So I thought that there was a chance Lesner would win.
<v Speaker 1>But I you know, after Stephanie was just adamant about
<v Speaker 1>putting smiles on people's face, as I said, they're not
<v Speaker 1>going to leave fans sour. So that that told me
<v Speaker 1>right off the bat, Drew's winning this, and I'm fine
<v Speaker 1>with it. I feel much more organically connected with Drew
<v Speaker 1>than I ever did with Seth Rollins as a baby face.
<v Speaker 1>So I enjoyed the I mean the kickout of the
<v Speaker 1>F five's. It was just it's all finish, finish, finished, kickout, kickout, kickout, finish, pin.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's just what these matches are. You don't
<v Speaker 1>expect anything less. As JBL said the night before, these
<v Speaker 1>guys aren't working by the hour, and they are certainly
<v Speaker 1>not working by the hour. But Drew getting the victory,
<v Speaker 1>standing tall, reaching out to the camera as if he's
<v Speaker 1>kind of giving the fans a hey, you know, I'm
<v Speaker 1>here with you. You know I wish we could be
<v Speaker 1>together to celebrate this moment. That's what that told me
<v Speaker 1>at that time. That was a pretty emotional moment from
<v Speaker 1>his perspective and from a fans perspective following his career.
<v Speaker 1>So I enjoyed this match for what it was. It
<v Speaker 1>certainly wasn't a five star classic, but it's it's pretty
<v Speaker 1>much by the numbers. What's exactly you'd expect if you
<v Speaker 1>were going to lay out this match?
<v Speaker 6>Yep, yep.
<v Speaker 1>Anybody else got any final comments on this? On this match,

<v Speaker 4>Rather, I mean, I agree with you in the fact that, like,
<v Speaker 4>I didn't think about the angle of Brock winning and
<v Speaker 4>saving the Drew McIntyre win for in front of an audience.
<v Speaker 4>I felt like there were a lot of moments like
<v Speaker 4>That's why I felt like there were no big returns
<v Speaker 4>or anything that happened last night and the night before.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, Bianca Bella was kind of like a weird insert,
<v Speaker 4>just because I didn't think that they would have her
<v Speaker 4>like kind of do her debut, because I'm pretty sure
<v Speaker 4>she's gonna be on Raw tonight or on SmackDown this week,
<v Speaker 4>like you know, because you want a crowd reaction for that.
<v Speaker 4>So I mean again, everything that you said is hitting
<v Speaker 4>the nail on the head. It is what it is.
<v Speaker 4>It was a fast match. I feel like it was
<v Speaker 4>way too too fast. I really would have thought they
<v Speaker 4>would have gone a little longer, just because it was
<v Speaker 4>more of an equal matchup with Goldberg and Stroman, Like
<v Speaker 4>gold where can only do the spear, and that's what
<v Speaker 4>he did. He did four spears, and we knew that
<v Speaker 4>was going to be a really, really, really fast match.
<v Speaker 4>But that's my only complain about it. I just wish
<v Speaker 4>Drew would have had the crowd reaction because I think
<v Speaker 4>the crowd would have absolutely loved it.
<v Speaker 5>And it definitely they definitely would have in that pop
<v Speaker 5>when he finally got the three count would have been great.
<v Speaker 5>And I do agree Mat that there was definitely a
<v Speaker 5>roadmap here where Brock kept the title, but I'm glad
<v Speaker 5>he didn't. I'm glad they went ahead and just pulled
<v Speaker 5>the trigger, not only because you don't know when you're
<v Speaker 5>going to be able to get live audiences back, and
<v Speaker 5>even once you can, you don't know how many people
<v Speaker 5>are going to be willing.

<v Speaker 5>But I also didn't want to leave open the scenario
<v Speaker 5>where Brock keeps the title and then Drew losing devalues it,
<v Speaker 5>and then by the time we get to SummerSlam, Vince
<v Speaker 5>is already bored with Drew and moved on to somebody else.
<v Speaker 5>So I feel like it was important that they just
<v Speaker 5>went ahead and pulled the trigger now, because now you
<v Speaker 5>can work from Drew being a champion and he can
<v Speaker 5>get that reaction the first live show back, when I'm
<v Speaker 5>sure it's going to be like the raw after WrestleMania
<v Speaker 5>on steroids for everybody. I'm glad that they just went
<v Speaker 5>ahead and did it, as opposed to the Roman thing
<v Speaker 5>where he loses and then it feels like, kind of
<v Speaker 5>what's the point. I'm glad that they just went ahead
<v Speaker 5>and did it, And now Drew is the guy who
<v Speaker 5>he was set to be when he kicked Lesner out
<v Speaker 5>of the Royal Rumble, So I was still glad to
<v Speaker 5>see it. But I mean, obviously we keep saying it.
<v Speaker 5>You just wish there was a crowd to see it.
<v Speaker 1>And as we move on, I mean, it seems to
<v Speaker 1>be that Brock just kind of goes into a hole
<v Speaker 1>and then into hibernation and then comes back around the
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam season. So as Brock Lesner goes back into
<v Speaker 1>hibernation and we have Drew McIntyre here, hopefully on a
<v Speaker 1>weekly basis, I anticipate that as WWE champion, I would
<v Speaker 1>I mean, my thought is that he could possibly have
<v Speaker 1>a program with Seth Rollins. I mean, maybe they'll wait
<v Speaker 1>on that until Summer Slam. That's definitely Summer Slam worthy.
<v Speaker 1>There might be a Brock Drew rematch at some point.
<v Speaker 1>They could they could revisit that at SummerSlam. But my
<v Speaker 1>at least in my mind, what I'm looking forward to,
<v Speaker 1>I really am looking forward to a Drew McIntire Seth
<v Speaker 1>Rollins program. I know that we had Seth Rollins lose
<v Speaker 1>clean to Kevin Owens and what I think was one

<v Speaker 4>there was no wrestling in this whole entire thing in
<v Speaker 4>the Firefly Flat House. But the meaning behind it and everything,
<v Speaker 4>and it draws so many questions, Like there's theories running
<v Speaker 4>around right now about like what actually Bray's weakness was,
<v Speaker 4>which we've been talking about, you know, on this podcast
<v Speaker 4>for months like that people you know, Ramblin Rabbit was
<v Speaker 4>saying there's a weakness, and somebody saying that if if
<v Speaker 4>his opponent does it hasn't changed. Then there's no that's
<v Speaker 4>his weakness. He can't defeat him because what he tries
<v Speaker 4>to do is revert them to their their strongest self,
<v Speaker 4>which we've seen with Seth Rollins and Daniel O'Brien and
<v Speaker 4>everybody that he's faced. But he couldn't do it against

<v Speaker 4>questions I had coming out of it was that whole thing.

<v Speaker 4>a rebirth of John Cena? Do we just see if
<v Speaker 4>John Cena comes back at any point, which I don't
<v Speaker 4>think we're gonna see him. We might, I don't know,

<v Speaker 4>that's going on and him being you know, an actor
<v Speaker 4>basically right now. Was that it was them showing him
<v Speaker 4>as whole Cogan in the nWo. Was that the heel
<v Speaker 4>turn that that we've all been waiting for if he
<v Speaker 4>ever re emerges, or was that him retiring? Was that
<v Speaker 4>him finally stepping away from the ring, because right before
<v Speaker 4>this happening, you know, John said he wasn't participating in
<v Speaker 4>WRESTLINGIA this year. And that kind of seemed like he
<v Speaker 4>was bound out finally from everything, like once and for all,
<v Speaker 4>not even doing part time stuff. And then why it
<v Speaker 4>came out and was like, nah, I got them finished
<v Speaker 4>business with you. So I loved it. I thought the
<v Speaker 4>production was great. I thought everything was great. When bray
<v Speaker 4>Wyatt turned around and started sitting the BELLI saw onto him,
<v Speaker 4>I was cracking up. I thought it was done really,
<v Speaker 4>really well. And you could argue that there was no match,
<v Speaker 4>but like, what were you expecting, because if there was
<v Speaker 4>a match, I think everybody was still nervous that John
<v Speaker 4>Cena was going to go over, you know, because it's
<v Speaker 4>John Cena. I mean, it's big match John, and he
<v Speaker 4>overcomes everything, but maybe running from his past and things
<v Speaker 4>that maybe he felt he should have done that maybe
<v Speaker 4>he didn't do for the WWE, for the corporation, for Vince,
<v Speaker 4>maybe personal feelings that he had about his character. We
<v Speaker 4>all know there was a rumor that he was supposed
<v Speaker 4>to turn when he faced the Rock a couple of
<v Speaker 4>years back. Maybe that was the best way to go
<v Speaker 4>about this match, and having everybody leave with more questions
<v Speaker 4>than finalities about what we saw last night and that
<v Speaker 4>bray Wyatt should have been the person to go over
<v Speaker 4>six years ago before he had to reinvent his character
<v Speaker 4>again because you know Bray Wyatt. Everybody remembers Bray Whyatt
<v Speaker 4>was they buried him. I hate using that term. But
<v Speaker 4>he never got a leg up when he came back
<v Speaker 4>up to the main roster, and there were a lot
<v Speaker 4>of matches that should have went totally different and they
<v Speaker 4>shouldn't have made him so hokey and stuff. This was hokey,
<v Speaker 4>but it was psychology one on one, and I just
<v Speaker 4>I loved everything about it. The production was great. Everything
<v Speaker 4>was weird. Seeing John come out and his tights was
<v Speaker 4>just weird, and it was it was something that made
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania worth watching because, like we said, it didn't feel
<v Speaker 4>like WrestleMania, but this just added a different level to it.
<v Speaker 4>It's something that we never seen before, and it was
<v Speaker 4>it was more of avant garde theater than it was wrestling.
<v Speaker 4>But isn't wrestling theater anyway, So I don't know, I
<v Speaker 4>liked it. I'm sure I'll remember more conspiracy theory points
<v Speaker 4>going along in this podcast. They'll come to me and
<v Speaker 4>they'll pop up. But like my big question coming out
<v Speaker 4>of that was did we just see the retirement of
<v Speaker 4>John Cena or did we just see the heel turn

<v Speaker 5>And from the first time I saw the Firefly Funhouse

<v Speaker 5>it was weird and it's like mister Rogers, but it's
<v Speaker 5>got a dark tent. This is what I wanted it
<v Speaker 5>to lead to. I wanted it to lead to something weird.
<v Speaker 5>I wanted it to lead to something where if you
<v Speaker 5>have a non wrestling fan in your life that walks
<v Speaker 5>in during that moment, it's going to be really hard to.

<v Speaker 5>But that's what I love about wrestling. I agree with
<v Speaker 5>everything Mary said. I'll take it a step further than that.
<v Speaker 5>This is again can't really call it a match, but
<v Speaker 5>this is one of my favorite things I've seen at
<v Speaker 5>WrestleMania period, from the moment it started to John Cena
<v Speaker 5>playing to a crowd that wasn't there, to everything they
<v Speaker 5>went through, him coming out as Prototype, him coming out
<v Speaker 5>as Hollywood Hogan, him going through all of this with
<v Speaker 5>the Fiend. I was laughing and enthralled with it, and
<v Speaker 5>it was emotional just watching it through and just seeing
<v Speaker 5>the unfiltered kind of brain of Bray Wyatt going to work.
<v Speaker 5>And there was reports that John Cena made it very
<v Speaker 5>clear that he wanted Bray to get all of his
<v Speaker 5>ideas in and it really makes me think that if
<v Speaker 5>you let talent that are exceptional kind of off the
<v Speaker 5>leash and do what they do, you can get spectacular
<v Speaker 5>results like this. And like I said, Mary liked it
<v Speaker 5>a lot, Mad, I feel like you're a little bit
<v Speaker 5>on the other end of the spectrum. This is one
<v Speaker 5>of my favorite things that I've seen. It was the
<v Speaker 5>highlight of WrestleMania to me to see this weird avant
<v Speaker 5>Garde Theater.
<v Speaker 6>That wasn't even really a match.
<v Speaker 5>It was kind of a career retrospective on John Cena.
<v Speaker 5>You're right, it could be his retirement. He could come
<v Speaker 5>back different, and he should from what he just went through.
<v Speaker 5>It was fantastic for me start to finish, and this
<v Speaker 5>was one of the big reasons that I wanted to
<v Speaker 5>be on the podcast. And before you even asked, I
<v Speaker 5>was gonna try and barge my way on here because
<v Speaker 5>this was one of my favorite things I've ever seen.
<v Speaker 5>One of the things I like about wrestling is that
<v Speaker 5>things can be weird and they can be totally different,
<v Speaker 5>and this is the most different thing that I have seen.

<v Speaker 5>character like the Fiend or like Bray Wyatt. I don't
<v Speaker 5>think he should have had just a standard match with
<v Speaker 5>John Cena. I'm in this case, I'm glad there wasn't

<v Speaker 5>a standard match and it would have been good, but
<v Speaker 5>it wouldn't have been this, And I'm so happy that
<v Speaker 5>there is this. I've watched this five six times, just
<v Speaker 5>this match, and every time I see something new, and
<v Speaker 5>I just loved it and Matt, I hope that I
<v Speaker 5>have cleared enough time for you to come in because
<v Speaker 5>I feel like you're gonna bulldoze through this with a
<v Speaker 5>different opinion. So I'm gonna let you do that.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. So you guys, and I have listened to your arguments,
<v Speaker 1>and I've listened to the reasoning, and I've listened to
<v Speaker 1>everybody's reasoning about how brilliant this was and why it
<v Speaker 1>was so great, and why it was so original and

<v Speaker 1>of my twenty five years of watching wrestling, I have
<v Speaker 1>never seen anything like this in my life. And being

<v Speaker 1>what I tweeted out. It's what I thought, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sitting there going this is. Initially I said, this is
<v Speaker 1>one of the worst things I've ever seen in my
<v Speaker 1>entire life on wrestling, including Katie Vic, including Triple H
<v Speaker 1>having sex with a mannequin a dressed as Caine. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I have seen some bad things. I put it up
<v Speaker 1>there initially, Initially, I put it up there as just
<v Speaker 1>the worst thing that I've seen on the biggest stage
<v Speaker 1>of them all, and it made me cringe And I
<v Speaker 1>said this too, I said, this is one of those
<v Speaker 1>things that if you have a non wrestling fan come
<v Speaker 1>in and they're watching WrestleMania with you, Because you have
<v Speaker 1>those non fans that come in because it's socially acceptable
<v Speaker 1>to be a wrestling fan at WrestleMania time, we get it.
<v Speaker 1>And if you have that friend that comes over and
<v Speaker 1>they watch WrestleMania and they see this, and this is
<v Speaker 1>the segment that they would go and point to and
<v Speaker 1>look at you and go, this is why I don't
<v Speaker 1>watch wrestling. What the hell is this? This is the
<v Speaker 1>crap that I do not like about wrestling and why
<v Speaker 1>I don't watch wrestling on a weekly basis. And that's
<v Speaker 1>how I initially felt, and as I sit currently at
<v Speaker 1>eight sixteen PM, I still feel a little little bit
<v Speaker 1>of that now. I think my biggest problem with this
<v Speaker 1>is as a whole I shouldn't have to think this
<v Speaker 1>hard as a wrestling fan. When I'm watching wrestling, I
<v Speaker 1>want them to tell me how to tell me what
<v Speaker 1>the time is. I don't want to have to know
<v Speaker 1>how to make the watch, just tell me what's going on.
<v Speaker 1>It does require a little bit of thoughts sometimes to
<v Speaker 1>see some of the angles going on and that you
<v Speaker 1>know what's happening and what possibly could happen in the
<v Speaker 1>intricacies of it. But this was on a whole nother
<v Speaker 1>level that I have never ever dealt with in my
<v Speaker 1>brain that I shouldn't have to think. I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to use that much brain power when I'm watching wrestling,

<v Speaker 1>It was basically Wyatt being the master manipulator, taking John
<v Speaker 1>Cena on a journey that contradicted everything that he said
<v Speaker 1>and referring to Sena as a bully and then showing
<v Speaker 1>him the doctor of thuganomics right like he went through
<v Speaker 1>so many different There was so much thought clearly put
<v Speaker 1>into this, and I respect that. I understand that, and
<v Speaker 1>it was a journey into the mind of the fiend.
<v Speaker 1>The second that John Cena came out and he said,
<v Speaker 1>you'll welcome to WrestleMania, and then all of a sudden
<v Speaker 1>he's transported or teleported to the Firefly Funhouse. I said,
<v Speaker 1>oh crap, here we go. The second he was teleported,
<v Speaker 1>I said, oh no, I mean I knew what they
<v Speaker 1>were going with. And I said, this is this is
<v Speaker 1>gonna be again. I said, this is gonna be one
<v Speaker 1>of the worst things I've ever seen in my life.
<v Speaker 1>Because WWE has a long history of running from their
<v Speaker 1>own identity as a wrestling company. I said this in
<v Speaker 1>my last show about the aj Styles Undertaker match, which
<v Speaker 1>in retrospect I've learned to love a little bit more
<v Speaker 1>than I did. And so when WWE runs from their
<v Speaker 1>own identity and they love to do these like cinematic
<v Speaker 1>type of presentations rather than what they are, and that's
<v Speaker 1>a wrestling company, I usually nine times out of ten
<v Speaker 1>hate it because they run from what they are and
<v Speaker 1>they're almost ashamed to be a wrestling company. And they'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you we're not a wrestling company, we're sports entertainment.
<v Speaker 1>First of all, there's no such thing as sports entertainment.
<v Speaker 1>That's not a thing, like you can't be sports entertainment.
<v Speaker 1>Sports are entertaining, but there's not a there's not a
<v Speaker 1>sports entertainment genre that they like to tell you there is.
<v Speaker 1>When you actually break down what that phrase is, Wrestling
<v Speaker 1>is what the entertainment is. So wrestling is the sport
<v Speaker 1>that's entertaining, right. So, I mean, I'm not even gonna
<v Speaker 1>get on that. I'm gonna go on an hour on that.
<v Speaker 1>But this match that I'll call loosely a match, if
<v Speaker 1>I actually sat down again I think, and watched it
<v Speaker 1>and try to look at it through the lens of Okay,

<v Speaker 1>this is trying to see John Cena for who he is,
<v Speaker 1>expose him for what he is, and if it does
<v Speaker 1>lead to a John Cena Hill turn, then I'm more
<v Speaker 1>on board with it. And I maybe if I sat
<v Speaker 1>down and went frame by frame and go, okay, oh,
<v Speaker 1>I see what they're doing here, I understand. Maybe it
<v Speaker 1>is one of those things that the more I watch it,
<v Speaker 1>the more I'll like it. And I'm sure you're John
<v Speaker 1>Cena also liked that he didn't have to go out
<v Speaker 1>and take a bunch of bumps. I mean, he has
<v Speaker 1>to take what a couple sister Abigail's, which I mean
<v Speaker 1>my grandmother could take. I mean, it's not that hard, right,
<v Speaker 1>So it was it was just a level of suspending
<v Speaker 1>your disbelief that I haven't ever had to touch in
<v Speaker 1>my wrestling career as a fan, right, I've never had
<v Speaker 1>to suspend it to this level and to go along
<v Speaker 1>for the ride at this level ever ever. And maybe
<v Speaker 1>that's my own bad and my own brain working against me,
<v Speaker 1>and so overall, I mean, I honestly don't even know
<v Speaker 1>what to rate. If you're gonna ask me to rate it,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. If I was going to rate it
<v Speaker 1>right now, I would say it's a C, maybe a
<v Speaker 1>D C minus a D because just because I've never
<v Speaker 1>seen something like this before, and maybe it's my own
<v Speaker 1>stupidity or my own non willingness to open up to
<v Speaker 1>something so produced such a level of I have to
<v Speaker 1>take my brain out of my body and just displace
<v Speaker 1>it in order to understand what's happening, and to not
<v Speaker 1>just understand what's happening, but also to go along with
<v Speaker 1>what they're doing and be okay with how silly this

<v Speaker 1>and she was leaving me alone the entire night. She

<v Speaker 1>I seriously do not know what's going on. I've been
<v Speaker 1>watching wrestling for twenty five years, I said, I have
<v Speaker 1>no idea what the hell this is. So I don't know.

<v Speaker 5>is a guy that was a cult leader, character that
<v Speaker 5>was super sure of himself. He goes through all of
<v Speaker 5>this stuff, he loses to John Cena. He convinces him
<v Speaker 5>in his head that everything started going wrong when John
<v Speaker 5>beat him. Now that's not necessarily true, but that's what
<v Speaker 5>bray Is convinced himself as.
<v Speaker 6>So, just in the.
<v Speaker 5>Context of this story and this character when we first
<v Speaker 5>saw bray Wyatt, he's a guy who now lives in
<v Speaker 5>his head and he's got a firefly fun house. So
<v Speaker 5>if you're bray Wyatt and you lose to this guy
<v Speaker 5>who you think you're better than, or you're more creative than,
<v Speaker 5>or if you had been given these chances, then you
<v Speaker 5>would have done this with them, and it wouldn't have
<v Speaker 5>just been standard supersena nonsense if you think that, however,
<v Speaker 5>many years ago, this guy beating you was the start
<v Speaker 5>of the end. And as bray Wyatt, who was crazy
<v Speaker 5>before he was mister Rogers, and you've now had six
<v Speaker 5>years or whatever it is to stew about this and
<v Speaker 5>to think about it, you would go through, Well, he's
<v Speaker 5>gonna say, welcome to Wrestlematia. I don't want to see
<v Speaker 5>his long entrance. We're going to go through that. He's
<v Speaker 5>basically Hollywood Hogan, where the baby has never quite get there,
<v Speaker 5>come up and with him, or nothing ever quite shakes him.
<v Speaker 5>And ever since he was the prototype, he's been a
<v Speaker 5>stupid character. And that ruthless aggression in the punch. If
<v Speaker 5>Ankla just ducked, this could have been different. Or during
<v Speaker 5>the Doctor of thug Anomics, all he says is corny
<v Speaker 5>raps and these nuts. And so I'm gonna give him
<v Speaker 5>one more chance. And he's gonna do the same thing again.
<v Speaker 5>Or he's an old school character like a hul Cogan,
<v Speaker 5>where it's not about your talent, it's not about anything
<v Speaker 5>that you necessarily do out there. It's that you're a
<v Speaker 5>six foot whatever, super muscled guy who can lift a
<v Speaker 5>lot of weights and Vince loves that. Or if we're
<v Speaker 5>actually in the ring and I sister Abigail and that's
<v Speaker 5>gonna be the end of it. Or now with this
<v Speaker 5>fiend character, I now have the power not only to
<v Speaker 5>take him down. At this point, if I'm Bray Whatt
<v Speaker 5>and I'm an insane person, I don't want to just
<v Speaker 5>go out there have a twenty minute match with you
<v Speaker 5>and beat you. I want to show you what you
<v Speaker 5>are to me. This is the same thing he would
<v Speaker 5>do as a cult character, where he would run somebody
<v Speaker 5>down in a noncoherent promo. Except what you saw on
<v Speaker 5>Wrestlemating a Knight two is Bray Whyitt's fantasy. It's when
<v Speaker 5>you are having an argument with somebody in twenty minutes
<v Speaker 5>later you think, ah, I should have said this, or
<v Speaker 5>oh I should have done this. It's Bray Whyit. It's fantasy.
<v Speaker 5>Over six years of going through John Cena. And the
<v Speaker 5>best way to beat somebody like John Cena is not
<v Speaker 5>to just fight him in the ring, because the next
<v Speaker 5>night he's just gonna say, well, he was the better man,
<v Speaker 5>blah blah blah blah blah. No, I'm gonna tear down
<v Speaker 5>every part of your career that's been comical and that
<v Speaker 5>you've really had to shut your brain off to understand,
<v Speaker 5>and I'm gonna dismantle it. And at the end, once
<v Speaker 5>I have shown him everything that is wrong with him
<v Speaker 5>in my eyes as an insane person, I'm going to
<v Speaker 5>stick him into the mat and I'm going to go
<v Speaker 5>off the air with a defeated John Cena, not only
<v Speaker 5>physically but mentally. This is what an insane person would
<v Speaker 5>do if they had six years to think about it.
<v Speaker 1>I have no none of you. I have no issue
<v Speaker 1>from the premise of what the Fiend stands for and
<v Speaker 1>what his mission is to It's really about vengeance. It's destruction,
<v Speaker 1>it's revenge. I stand for all that. I am all
<v Speaker 1>for that, and I understand the structure of what the
<v Speaker 1>Fiend was going for to attack John Cena in his brain,
<v Speaker 1>to show him what he has been, what he is,
<v Speaker 1>to what he is to Bray White and to a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people, to show him on an extrastential type
<v Speaker 1>of way. Hey, this is what if you were standing
<v Speaker 1>outside of yourself, what other people see you as. I
<v Speaker 1>understand all of that. I think it's I think that
<v Speaker 1>and of itself is what is great of this whole thing.
<v Speaker 1>If there is something great about this, that is what
<v Speaker 1>it is great. If something comes of this where John
<v Speaker 1>Cena actually turns heel from this, and this isn't just
<v Speaker 1>a one off of oh, let's do something with the
<v Speaker 1>Fiend and something acid trip with the Fiend, then I'm
<v Speaker 1>more on board with this. If there's actually something in
<v Speaker 1>somewhere this is going and not just a hot shot.
<v Speaker 1>If there's a destination for this, fine. If this is
<v Speaker 1>a one off, then this gets a f from me
<v Speaker 1>because of the fact that there has to be something
<v Speaker 1>from this. You can't do something of this magnitude with
<v Speaker 1>a star of like John Cena and have no follow
<v Speaker 1>up with John Cena. This cannot turn into nothing with
<v Speaker 1>John Cena. Otherwise it's just okay. Cool. He showed us
<v Speaker 1>everything that John Cena has become or has in terms
<v Speaker 1>of sind against the people. Here's how we view him,
<v Speaker 1>Here's why we don't like him, here's what we think
<v Speaker 1>about him over the last fifteen years of his career.

<v Speaker 1>as many other have characters having the past playing mind games,
<v Speaker 1>this guy is to the extreme. I'm all for it
<v Speaker 1>if this leads to a John Cena Hill turn. If
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't and this goes nowhere, why why? What is
<v Speaker 1>the point of this.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think that it's gonna go nowhere. Like I said,
<v Speaker 4>I either think. I mean, if John comes back, John
<v Speaker 4>is different. But it could have been the retirement of
<v Speaker 4>John Cena too. That could have been John Cena's last
<v Speaker 4>match and we might not see him for a while.
<v Speaker 4>You know, next time we see him, he could just
<v Speaker 4>you know, announce that like he's done, because he vanished
<v Speaker 4>in the middle of the ring. After you know it
<v Speaker 4>was done. You have to go back and listen to
<v Speaker 4>the over, the John Cena talking over you know, the
<v Speaker 4>Fiend and giving John Cena the manimal claw and then
<v Speaker 4>taking him out like John was like basically bashing himself
<v Speaker 4>and and airing all his mistakes and like, you know,
<v Speaker 4>like Zach said, I think that the only way that
<v Speaker 4>you defeat John Cena is not to have a match
<v Speaker 4>with him, because you're right. He him up on you know,
<v Speaker 4>the next night and be like, oh the better man won,
<v Speaker 4>blah blah blah. Like remember when he was supposed to
<v Speaker 4>retire versus who was it? What was it Rock or somebody,
<v Speaker 4>And it was when he was getting divorced, and then
<v Speaker 4>he like came back a week later and it made
<v Speaker 4>no sense, Like John would show up and be like,
<v Speaker 4>oh yeah, well the better man one. But you know
<v Speaker 4>that's I never give up, and I'm gonna get him
<v Speaker 4>next time. Girl. The only way that you get somebody
<v Speaker 4>like that and you destroy them, you actually beat them,
<v Speaker 4>is to break them down mentally. And that was the
<v Speaker 4>only weakness that John Cena has had. Like you have
<v Speaker 4>to mentally disable him and make him not be so
<v Speaker 4>confident insuring himself, and then you go after him. But
<v Speaker 4>I don't think that this is it again. If it's it,
<v Speaker 4>I think it's more of a retirement angle than John
<v Speaker 4>coming back and being John, like being John Cena ll Like,
<v Speaker 4>I don't think that's what's going on here. I understand
<v Speaker 4>like your qualms with it, but like again, for what
<v Speaker 4>we were going on with WrestleMania, and for them not
<v Speaker 4>to have those big moments with the crowd or returns
<v Speaker 4>or that huge pop that you know, Edge should have
<v Speaker 4>gotten when it came out, they had to do something different.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm glad that they did this different because you're
<v Speaker 4>acting like this is like almost like the House of
<v Speaker 4>Horror matches with Brandy oron. Like you remember how bad
<v Speaker 4>those were, right, you remember the lantern, You remember the
<v Speaker 4>whole world in his hands? Right? This was nowhere near
<v Speaker 4>that bad. Like this was actually something that you could
<v Speaker 4>wrap your head around and be like, all right with
<v Speaker 4>this new character, this is what he does to his opponents.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, this was the extreme, but it's John Cena.
<v Speaker 4>Was his appointment. He had to go to the extreme.
<v Speaker 4>He didn't have to work that hard for Dane O'Brien,
<v Speaker 4>or for seth Rawlins, or for any other person that
<v Speaker 4>he's managed to turn back in the Miz turn back
<v Speaker 4>into their best selves, you know what I mean. So
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if I mean, my personal favorite John
<v Speaker 4>Cena is doctor. Like no, I'm John Cena, and I
<v Speaker 4>like his PN raps. I thought he was amazing when
<v Speaker 4>he did he backed me up. But that was the
<v Speaker 4>best John Cena. He was most creative and stuff like
<v Speaker 4>that when he was doing those things. I mean, you know,
<v Speaker 4>drawing in John Cena for the last fifteen years and
<v Speaker 4>he's been the same guy. I mean, the only time
<v Speaker 4>we've ever really like seen him like just different was
<v Speaker 4>when he had seen him punk as a dance partner
<v Speaker 4>because he had somebody that like was his you know anti,
<v Speaker 4>you know, his his his other end, his his his equal,
<v Speaker 4>you know. So I don't know, I just I don't
<v Speaker 4>understand why. I understand why you're crapping on it a
<v Speaker 4>lot because it wasn't traditional wrestling and it wasn't a match.
<v Speaker 4>But like all given circumstances and everything that they did,
<v Speaker 4>I think they did a hell of a job with it.
<v Speaker 4>And I don't think anybody was expecting anything else. If
<v Speaker 4>they were going to do something quirky, it totally couldn't
<v Speaker 4>go to the House of Horror's you know, match route.
<v Speaker 4>It had to be something different and intriguing, and I
<v Speaker 4>was glued to the TV the whole time, even though
<v Speaker 4>I had no idea what was going on.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm look, I'm all for the message. Here's where
<v Speaker 1>we find common ground. The message, the undercurrent of exposing
<v Speaker 1>John Cena and seeing him in a different light. I
<v Speaker 1>am on board for that. I'm on board for seeing
<v Speaker 1>John Cena's career and in fifteen minutes from the perspective
<v Speaker 1>of Bray Wyatt in his warped mind, I'm on board
<v Speaker 1>for that. On paper, I'm also on board for if
<v Speaker 1>this leads to a John Cena Hill turn. I've said
<v Speaker 1>that I think the biggest problem for me, if I
<v Speaker 1>was going to sum it down, is one word believability.
<v Speaker 1>And when I have to take my brain to watch
<v Speaker 1>wrestling and I put it on the shelf, it's like
<v Speaker 1>I put it on like you know, the eye level shelf.
<v Speaker 1>With this one, I had to put it in another
<v Speaker 1>room on top of the top shelf, in a safe
<v Speaker 1>and to understand what the hell was going on in
<v Speaker 1>and again, if I go back and watch this, I
<v Speaker 1>may have slowly more appreciation for it, but I think
<v Speaker 1>in the presentation it's how they did it with John
<v Speaker 1>Cena playing along and sometimes looked like he was just
<v Speaker 1>kind of winking and nodding, almost not fully invested, kind
<v Speaker 1>of in a wink and nod type of way that
<v Speaker 1>took me out of the moment. When John scene is
<v Speaker 1>screaming like six times ruthless aggression and swinging and missing
<v Speaker 1>and swinging and missing, you could almost see that he
<v Speaker 1>had like a kind of a smirk on his face,
<v Speaker 1>like this is kind of stupid, and I'm thinking, John, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this is like, I mean, that is my problem. Emotional investment, believability,
<v Speaker 1>those phrases, I don't care what the what the what
<v Speaker 1>the whole path is to where you want to go.
<v Speaker 1>If you don't have those things, I'm off. I'm off,
<v Speaker 1>I'm off the train, Get me out of there. And
<v Speaker 1>so when this to me, this had zero believability in
<v Speaker 1>terms of presentation, in terms of the message they're sending
<v Speaker 1>thumbs up, thumbs way up from the message they're trying
<v Speaker 1>to do, the objective, the mission that they're trying to
<v Speaker 1>accomplish of exposing John Cena totally get it. I'm on board,
<v Speaker 1>But when John Seene is playing along, and I can't
<v Speaker 1>get on board with that because it just looks silly
<v Speaker 1>with him playing along and oftentimes looking at I'm like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't even know what he's doing right here, or

<v Speaker 5>So this I was very excited to see Edge back,

<v Speaker 5>promoted story that they had going into WrestleMania. You felt
<v Speaker 5>everything that Edge was going through nine years out. Never
<v Speaker 5>thought he was gonna have a career again. It's past
<v Speaker 5>Eddie Guerrero dying. It's the hardest I've cried like a
<v Speaker 5>baby when he retired, Like I don't care, I'll say

<v Speaker 5>to see, other than the fireflfe On House, which.

<v Speaker 5>And we go yeah, yeah, obviously, and we go into
<v Speaker 5>the match, and during the first parts of the match, obviously,
<v Speaker 5>as I said, my first thoughts were, Man, I really
<v Speaker 5>wish there were a crowd just for this entrance. But
<v Speaker 5>I'm not going to keep belaboring that point, because we
<v Speaker 5>could say that for.
<v Speaker 6>Just about everything. The match was.
<v Speaker 5>A very interesting last man standing in that they brawled
<v Speaker 5>kind of all over. There was some innovative stuff. If
<v Speaker 5>we're talking about believability. There were some things where it
<v Speaker 5>was like, all right, what are we doing? And I
<v Speaker 5>think that obviously, you know, not a new take, but
<v Speaker 5>I think that the biggest problem with it was that
<v Speaker 5>it was so long, and I don't understand it was
<v Speaker 5>almost like Triple h every year at WrestleMania where you're
<v Speaker 5>sitting there and you're like, why is this match thirty
<v Speaker 5>plus minutes? Other than this guy thinks this match can
<v Speaker 5>be thirty plus minutes. I feel like you could have
<v Speaker 5>done this match and taken time off of it, and
<v Speaker 5>it would have been more concise and would have been
<v Speaker 5>more emotional if you had given it less time. Generally,
<v Speaker 5>at WrestleMania, I'm a proponent for giving everybody a little
<v Speaker 5>bit more time because they have more time to tell
<v Speaker 5>their story. This did not need to be whatever thirty
<v Speaker 5>thirty six minutes of a last man standing match. It
<v Speaker 5>got to a point where I was checking my watch,
<v Speaker 5>like how long has this been happening? Where I'm very
<v Speaker 5>excited to see this story play out. I was in
<v Speaker 5>for it, but at a certain point I just couldn't
<v Speaker 5>keep going along with it because it kept going and
<v Speaker 5>it kept going, and it kept going, and it kept going.
<v Speaker 6>The right guy won.
<v Speaker 5>I'm super excited, obviously, like everybody is to have edge
<v Speaker 5>back and Randy was perfect for this and you wanted
<v Speaker 5>to see him beat up Randy. I don't understand why
<v Speaker 5>it was so long, Mary.
<v Speaker 4>I agree, I think it was a little long. It's
<v Speaker 4>it seemed like it drags out and and exactly what
<v Speaker 4>you said, we could we could sit here and say
<v Speaker 4>I think the whole worst part of this match was
<v Speaker 4>not having the live audience for Edge to come out too,
<v Speaker 4>because it would have been one of those pops that, like,
<v Speaker 4>you don't think you'll ever hear. But I didn't have
<v Speaker 4>a problem with the match. It was brutal. It was
<v Speaker 4>a slobber knooker. I hate using that term a lot,
<v Speaker 4>but this was a drag down Fitch fight, and you
<v Speaker 4>could see the hatred and the animosity there, and and
<v Speaker 4>and there was a lot of emotion going towards it.
<v Speaker 4>They had a couple of cool spots. I love how
<v Speaker 4>they used the whole entire and performance Center and stuff
<v Speaker 4>like that. But again, it was another match I don't
<v Speaker 4>really have a lot of complaints about. It did seem
<v Speaker 4>like it was really really long. I think it was
<v Speaker 4>excruciating too long for a last man standing match, because
<v Speaker 4>the whole point is to you know, disable your opponents
<v Speaker 4>so they can't get up, and I mean, they were
<v Speaker 4>going through some stuff that I wouldn't have gotten up
<v Speaker 4>like fifteen minutes into. But you know, I'm also one
<v Speaker 4>hundred pound girls. So what do I know. I just
<v Speaker 4>that was my overall complaint about it. I like the finish.
<v Speaker 4>I'm glad that Edge went over. I mean, I don't
<v Speaker 4>think anybody thought that Edge wasn't gonna go over. It
<v Speaker 4>had everything that It just seemed like there was a
<v Speaker 4>lot of visceral feelings towards each other, even if in
<v Speaker 4>Randy's mind it was because he was doing it for
<v Speaker 4>his best you know, interest, for Edge's best interests and
<v Speaker 4>stuff like that. But again, I thought it was a
<v Speaker 4>fantastic last man's standing match. I mean sometimes last may
<v Speaker 4>and standing matches come off kind of like, eh, that
<v Speaker 4>was it, where they use some kind of stupid prop
<v Speaker 4>to keep the person down or it's unbelievable like that,
<v Speaker 4>like you know, and they pile stuff on the person
<v Speaker 4>or they tie him this something, and they didn't do this.
<v Speaker 4>This was literally, I'm gonna beat the crap out of you,
<v Speaker 4>and let's see who can get the crap beat out
<v Speaker 4>of them the most. And like you're scared because Edge
<v Speaker 4>is you know, Brandy knew he's back in and he's
<v Speaker 4>had a lot of bad injuries and stuff like that,
<v Speaker 4>and Orgon's always never really been out like organ has
<v Speaker 4>been never really had a major, major, major injury that like,
<v Speaker 4>he's been taken out for a long period of time,
<v Speaker 4>so he is an iron man, and the fact that
<v Speaker 4>he is the company's standard, like you want to be
<v Speaker 4>Randy or going to be in his position at this
<v Speaker 4>point in his career where he is a general I
<v Speaker 4>guess of the locker room and he has you know,
<v Speaker 4>cemented his legacy and stuff like that. But overall, I
<v Speaker 4>thought the match was fantastic. I thought the spots were
<v Speaker 4>a great I liked what they were using. I loved
<v Speaker 4>how you could see how much pain they were in.
<v Speaker 4>And this was one of those matches where there wasn't
<v Speaker 4>an audience that it added to it because you could
<v Speaker 4>hear the excruciating pain that they were in, and there
<v Speaker 4>were supposed to be an inscruciating pain because they were
<v Speaker 4>beating the crap out of each other. So other than
<v Speaker 4>the length of it, I didn't really have any problems
<v Speaker 4>with it.
<v Speaker 1>All right, So this is going to be a much
<v Speaker 1>calmer review on this match. I think I generally agree
<v Speaker 1>with most of your points about the length, and I
<v Speaker 1>think that's a pretty standard analysis that most people have
<v Speaker 1>said that this is just way too damn long, and
<v Speaker 1>it was it was I mean, my god, it really
<v Speaker 1>just kept going and going and going. As much as
<v Speaker 1>we've anticipated Edges return, the length was I think it
<v Speaker 1>could have been cut by fifteen minutes. I mean, really,
<v Speaker 1>it could have been half that length and it would have,
<v Speaker 1>I think, gotten a better reaction from people. I also
<v Speaker 1>don't remember a last man Standing match in which the
<v Speaker 1>entire match ended or was backstage. I know there was
<v Speaker 1>a little bit out in the ring, that's where it
<v Speaker 1>started with than RKO. I was a bit disappointed that
<v Speaker 1>the match didn't start with Randy and Edge going face
<v Speaker 1>to face and Edge just staring him down and then
<v Speaker 1>just brawling. I know what they're going for with Randy
<v Speaker 1>in the cover up of a black outfit and giving
<v Speaker 1>him an RKO and then another one is kind of
<v Speaker 1>like the heelish attack from behind. But that's not the
<v Speaker 1>time to do it at WrestleMania. It's time for you know,
<v Speaker 1>monoemano and to get that moment of like finally Randy's
<v Speaker 1>gonna get what he's got coming. And it was brutal
<v Speaker 1>and and yes you could hear all of the audio
<v Speaker 1>from that. I don't know why there's a cage type
<v Speaker 1>of setup in the conference room of the of the
<v Speaker 1>performance center. I don't know, but it played perfectly into
<v Speaker 1>the match where he did an elbow drop off the
<v Speaker 1>top of the conference room. That was pretty funny. I
<v Speaker 1>feel bad for the people that have to actually go
<v Speaker 1>through every place that they went and sanitize everything, because
<v Speaker 1>with everything going on, they're going to have to do that.
<v Speaker 1>So whoever is doing that, I do not envy that
<v Speaker 1>person or people of which there are probably many, or
<v Speaker 1>if there's one person that's gonna take forever, because they
<v Speaker 1>touched about everything in the performance center.
<v Speaker 6>It was brutal.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, in having the spear on top, I kept waiting
<v Speaker 1>for them to circle back to the ring because that's
<v Speaker 1>typically what happens with matches. You'll have start in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>it goes backstage, and then you end the match in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. And I was waiting for that because to me,
<v Speaker 1>I would have done that. I would have brought it
<v Speaker 1>back to the ring where everything started and then have
<v Speaker 1>the finish there. But it ended at the top of
<v Speaker 1>a production truck and we got a spear, we got
<v Speaker 1>a chair shot, and obviously the concerto. I don't understand
<v Speaker 1>why Edge would hesitate or have himself be conflicted with
<v Speaker 1>the notion of delivering the concerto back to Randy. I
<v Speaker 1>think they were going for the you know, the hesitation
<v Speaker 1>of well, this man was one of my best friends.
<v Speaker 1>You know, does he really deserve this. Well, there should
<v Speaker 1>be no hesitation. There should be no hesitation. This guy
<v Speaker 1>our kao's your wife. He attacked your neck. He was
<v Speaker 1>trying to retire wire you again. He said that he
<v Speaker 1>loves his kids more than he does. I mean, there
<v Speaker 1>should be nothing. He should have had hit a concerto
<v Speaker 1>for every time he mentioned his kids. I mean, like
<v Speaker 1>there should have been multiple concertos, no hesitation. Well, what
<v Speaker 1>is the worst thing you could do to another man?
<v Speaker 1>Attack his family? So what is he hesitating for? He
<v Speaker 1>should have been literally trying to kill him, So I
<v Speaker 1>didn't like that. He should have been delivered another maybe three, four,
<v Speaker 1>five of them, to be honest with you, and put
<v Speaker 1>him in the hospital. I mean, so outside of that
<v Speaker 1>little thing, it was what it was. I was okay
<v Speaker 1>with how it ended and we got the victory. But
<v Speaker 1>this is the one that man, you know, in front
<v Speaker 1>of crowd, would have This one was hurt by, especially
<v Speaker 1>hurt by the lack of people there, because it would have,
<v Speaker 1>I think, give the fans a real good, feel good moment.
<v Speaker 1>And for Edge, you know, you come back after nine years,
<v Speaker 1>you're imagining that WrestleMania moment in front of eight thousand,
<v Speaker 1>and you get crickets. I mean, right, So I felt
<v Speaker 1>bad for him on that level, But I don't think
<v Speaker 1>this is the last time we'll see Edge. I expect
<v Speaker 1>Edge to return, and from what I understand, he signed
<v Speaker 1>a two three year contract with I don't know, a
<v Speaker 1>few matches ever a year, so maybe I'll be back
<v Speaker 1>in time for Summer Slam, money in the bank, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. But i'd give this match a B. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>the length really really hurt it, but I'd give it
<v Speaker 1>a B.

<v Speaker 5>I think I think that's fair, and I think it
<v Speaker 5>is fair to say that it was a very good
<v Speaker 5>match that just just went too long. And I was
<v Speaker 5>surprised that it went so long because it's Edge's first

<v Speaker 5>would have thought that it wouldn't have been thirty six minutes.

<v Speaker 5>would have hardcore matches or WWF would have hardcore matches

<v Speaker 5>didn't go back to the ring because we don't need
<v Speaker 5>a ring for what we're trying to do here.

<v Speaker 1>the Ring reviewed with Chris Benhua, So I don't know.

<v Speaker 1>that out with this seven days lead time they had
<v Speaker 1>till they aired WrestleMania. So just something else I heard

<v Speaker 1>I love this match, I thought it was maybe the
<v Speaker 1>match of the night, you could argue, and Charlotte Flair
<v Speaker 1>winning is I think a positive. I know people would
<v Speaker 1>say Ria Ripley has been on a roll, she's the
<v Speaker 1>face of the women's division and NXT all that, and
<v Speaker 1>I agree, And but what happened here was number one,
<v Speaker 1>they're trying to get more eyeballs on NXT because NXT lately,
<v Speaker 1>even before the whole coronavirus outbreak and the whole format
<v Speaker 1>of empty arenas, was getting demolished pretty handily by a
<v Speaker 1>aw on a weekly basis. So bringing Charlotte Flair name value,
<v Speaker 1>name brand value into NXT certainly helps the brand, doesn't.

<v Speaker 5>defends against Bianca bell Air and then you for the
<v Speaker 5>first time, you have the Royal Rumble winner challenging the
<v Speaker 5>NXT champion, and that story was very good in terms
<v Speaker 5>of not feeling like Charlotte took a step down, but
<v Speaker 5>that she is the one that stepped up the challenger
<v Speaker 5>and she's the one that took it. And I loved
<v Speaker 5>watching the match, but a lot like with the match
<v Speaker 5>with Oscar, that was fantastic. I just don't understand why
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte needed to win. I understand your point of kind
<v Speaker 5>of bringing something to NXT. She's definitely gonna bring a
<v Speaker 5>different dimension, but I don't think that NXT needs it.
<v Speaker 5>I think when Charlotte has been on NXT, it hasn't
<v Speaker 5>affected the ratings in any significant way. I think that
<v Speaker 5>when you have somebody like Finn Balor who feels like
<v Speaker 5>an NXT superstar come back, he assimilates himself. I feel
<v Speaker 5>like I don't think of Charlotte Flair as in the
<v Speaker 5>n XT Superstar, and she feels like somebody that isn't

<v Speaker 5>matches with NXT talent. I just I'm always okay with
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte winning the title. It's certainly believable. I just really
<v Speaker 5>don't feel like it needed to happen. And it was
<v Speaker 5>a bummer to me that you see rhar Ripley tapping
<v Speaker 5>to the figure four the figure eight. I just it
<v Speaker 5>was a bummer in for me and shouldn't known when
<v Speaker 5>Ria came out dressed as Vegeta that she was just
<v Speaker 5>gonna lose. It was just kind of a bummer.

<v Speaker 4>eating the same thing every night for dinner. Does that
<v Speaker 4>make sense? Like, I just, I just there was no reason.

<v Speaker 1>of being able to if she wants to turn it on,

<v Speaker 1>hurt her. And Rea Ripley. Many people would go, why
<v Speaker 1>didn't Rea Ripley win? She was the one that needed
<v Speaker 1>to win and put herself over against Charlotte. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think so because Rea Ripley right now is still on
<v Speaker 1>the ascent Ria. Ripley is the face of the women's
<v Speaker 1>division on NXT. But now you have Charlotte Flair. As
<v Speaker 1>you just said, you're on words. She is the greatest
<v Speaker 1>right now of all time in the women's division as
<v Speaker 1>we speak currently. So if you take the greatest and
<v Speaker 1>you put her on NXT, you have Charlotte now able
<v Speaker 1>to work with a whole new roster of women to
<v Speaker 1>be able to focus on the women's division of NXT.
<v Speaker 1>And it's not about Charlotte right now, it's about the
<v Speaker 1>bigger picture of the women's division in NXT. You have
<v Speaker 1>now the greatest, as everyone has said and kind of agreed,
<v Speaker 1>you have the greatest the woman that WW has to
<v Speaker 1>offer inside of the ring right now. That could be argued,
<v Speaker 1>but you have at least the way that she's been
<v Speaker 1>presented on NXT. So now she has what ten twelve
<v Speaker 1>different women that she could work with on a nightly
<v Speaker 1>weekly basis and get them over to that next level,
<v Speaker 1>have them try to challenge Charlotte Flair. It elevates the
<v Speaker 1>women's division on NXT, It elevates the NXT Championship. It's
<v Speaker 1>not necessarily about Charlotte Flair. To me, you could argue
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte Flair took a demotion for this NXT championship. When
<v Speaker 1>you put it against the SMACKDWN of Raw women's championships, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it probably stacks third, just in how there's the longevity,
<v Speaker 1>the lineage, all of that. So to me, it's the
<v Speaker 1>bigger picture. And yeah, one little thing I'll say about
<v Speaker 1>the match. I liked how they focused on the leg
<v Speaker 1>and you work in the leg the whole match, and
<v Speaker 1>Reas sold the hell out of it. But then there's
<v Speaker 1>times where she sells how much it hurts, and then
<v Speaker 1>she's doing a moon salt with it with no pain.
<v Speaker 6>I mean.
<v Speaker 1>So, I mean, I mean that you could say that
<v Speaker 1>a lot of different matches where they pick apart, pick apart,
<v Speaker 1>pick apart the air. Yeah, I mean like you're landing
<v Speaker 1>on it and then you land perfectly, your legs functioning
<v Speaker 1>just fine, and then you're like, oh, yeah it hurts. Ah.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like we see that all the time. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>they sell it when they're laying down, but yet they're
<v Speaker 1>able to use it fully functional for any maneuver that
<v Speaker 1>they want to use it for. I mean like that.
<v Speaker 1>That's just I mean, that's been a wrestling since since
<v Speaker 1>the beginning of time. But again, it elevates the NXT title.
<v Speaker 1>It elevates the women now in NXT that Charlotte Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>has run through everyone on the quote main rosters of
<v Speaker 1>ron SmackDown. What interesting feud would Charlotte want to have
<v Speaker 1>right now? Oscar Nope, Becky hell no? I mean, like,
<v Speaker 1>who could she work with that? You'd go, that's a
<v Speaker 1>match I want to see. No, Now Charlotte can go
<v Speaker 1>to NXT be able to elevate everyone on that division.
<v Speaker 1>So that's how I look at it, because if you
<v Speaker 1>look at it as Charlotte Charlotte Charlotte, I'm with you. No,
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte doesn't need any of this. It's about the bigger
<v Speaker 1>picture I think.

<v Speaker 4>the NXT women's division is the best women's division in
<v Speaker 4>all three of the brands. They don't need her. They
<v Speaker 4>I think they are the most talented out of all
<v Speaker 4>of them. We saw them work through everybody in the fall.
<v Speaker 4>There are many people that are on the women's rosters
<v Speaker 4>on the main cards that don't get any play. Why
<v Speaker 4>couldn't you have Charlotte Flair, like just like start going
<v Speaker 4>in wrestling these people that don't get any airtime and
<v Speaker 4>have them trying to chase her to beat her. Like,
<v Speaker 4>it doesn't always have to be about the title. But
<v Speaker 4>I don't think that the NXC division, the women's division
<v Speaker 4>in particular, needs Charlotte Flair. I think they're doing fine
<v Speaker 4>right by themselves, and when they get to the main roster,
<v Speaker 4>that's when they get lost on you know, everything else,
<v Speaker 4>lost alone the sauce whatever the term is. I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I'm just rantom right now, but like that's that's when
<v Speaker 4>they start to falters when they get up to the
<v Speaker 4>main roster, because they do focus too much on the
<v Speaker 4>same three people, Becky, Charlotte. I mean OSCA is starting
<v Speaker 4>to but Oscar's still super white hot right now, and
<v Speaker 4>Oscar should beget a title soon. So I just think
<v Speaker 4>that it's a disservice to the main roster for all
<v Speaker 4>the people that have gotten called up from NXC that
<v Speaker 4>were doing quite fine when they were in NXC and
<v Speaker 4>now they're you know, you know, gone in oblivion and
<v Speaker 4>and and stuff like that. There are other ways to
<v Speaker 4>work it. I don't think the NXT woman's divisions Charlotte Flair,
<v Speaker 4>and that's just.
<v Speaker 1>They don't need her. But you know what helps any
<v Speaker 1>any any roster star power. I don't star power has
<v Speaker 1>always been the key to success. And they don't need her.
<v Speaker 1>They're not in bad shape by any means. The woman's
<v Speaker 1>roster is is an all star in terms of athleticism, absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>but it's star power that will always sell tickets, that
<v Speaker 1>will always help other women, elevate another woman, and that's
<v Speaker 1>what Ria Ripley got. Even in this loss Rea Ripley,
<v Speaker 1>some people probably went into this going who the hell
<v Speaker 1>is Ria Ripley? Doesn't watch NXT and goes, Wow, she
<v Speaker 1>can wrestle her ass off, And now they know who
<v Speaker 1>she is. And now that she lost to the best
<v Speaker 1>that WW has to offer, there's really not you could
<v Speaker 1>argue that didn't actually hurt Ria Ripley. And now she's
<v Speaker 1>gonna go back to NXT and you bring the star
<v Speaker 1>power which is the key to this whole thing of
<v Speaker 1>Charlotte Flair into NXT and it elevates everyone. They don't
<v Speaker 1>need her, They're not gonna fall without her, They're not
<v Speaker 1>gonna go into you know, the Abyss, but they certainly
<v Speaker 1>it can't hurt. And again, it's to me that's I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, that's how I look at it.

<v Speaker 5>supposed to be Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte. But everything I've seen

<v Speaker 5>other people, my concern is that they're not going to
<v Speaker 5>use Charlotte to elevate other people. They're using the NXT
<v Speaker 5>title and roster not only to elevate Charlotte, but to
<v Speaker 5>get her off of Raw and SmackDown, because, like you said,
<v Speaker 5>she has run through a lot of the women's division,
<v Speaker 5>but Becky Lynch got over on her. But other than that,
<v Speaker 5>I mean, from OSCA to all the people she's beaten,
<v Speaker 5>I don't know that everybody comes out in a match
<v Speaker 5>with Charlotte Flair necessarily better than they went in. My
<v Speaker 5>concern is that the same as it would have been
<v Speaker 5>if Finn Balor had come back and won the NXT
<v Speaker 5>title right away. My concern is that Charlotte Flair is
<v Speaker 5>just going to be the champion and she's just going
<v Speaker 5>to run through the division.

<v Speaker 5>I hope that I'm wrong and that they use this
<v Speaker 5>as an opportunity to have other women get over, and
<v Speaker 5>this isn't going to be a long term thing. But
<v Speaker 5>my concern with WWE and Charlotte is my same concern
<v Speaker 5>that I generally have about ww and Roman Reigns, just
<v Speaker 5>like WWE and John Cena, just like WWE and hul Cogan,
<v Speaker 5>where they're just setting up people for Charlotte Flair to
<v Speaker 5>work with, not setting up other people to work with
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte Flair. So if they go the route of getting
<v Speaker 5>other people over using Charlotte Flair, I'm absolutely on board
<v Speaker 5>Matt with your plan. My concern is WWE hasn't shown
<v Speaker 5>me a lot to make me think that they're going
<v Speaker 5>to do it that way.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's a fair point. I mean, again, time

<v Speaker 1>gonna take if it is all about Charlotte Flair, I'm

<v Speaker 1>board for this. I just I guess I'm more optimistic
<v Speaker 1>about the win and reviewing it as that, and you

<v Speaker 1>to the Raw Tag Team Championship match the Street Profits
<v Speaker 1>versus Angel Garza and Austin Theory. I really don't have
<v Speaker 1>a whole bunch on this. To me, I really don't.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, the Street Profits win as they should. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't expect Angel Garza or Austin Theory to capture the
<v Speaker 1>Raw Tag Team belts, given the Street Profits to just
<v Speaker 1>gotten them, and they seem to be on somewhat of
<v Speaker 1>a hot streak. So I mean the match was okay.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't have a whole lot to say about it
<v Speaker 1>other than Zelena Vega is still the MVP of the match.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, she just is always the damn best and
<v Speaker 1>they need to do something with her. Seeing her get
<v Speaker 1>laid out was interesting. You know, it's very rare in
<v Speaker 1>which somebody has actually gets over on her, so that's interesting.
<v Speaker 1>Bianca Bella Air and all that. So yeah, I mean
<v Speaker 1>my quick analysis is because I don't have a whole
<v Speaker 1>lot to say, is the Right Team one and Zelena
<v Speaker 1>Vegas the MVP and we move on to whoever the
<v Speaker 1>Street Profits are going to face next. I mean, Mary,

<v Speaker 4>lot of substance to the match. The Right Team one.

<v Speaker 4>Selena Vega getting laid out by Bianca bell Air. So
<v Speaker 4>we have Bianca Bella debuting, and I'm pretty sure I've
<v Speaker 4>been looking at Twitter who I've been talking and she
<v Speaker 4>was on Raw tonight. So maybe moving forward now, now
<v Speaker 4>Zelena is finally going to start wrestling because she is
<v Speaker 4>a wrestler. She's just a goddamn good manager and that's
<v Speaker 4>why they have her in this. And I think the
<v Speaker 4>other takeaway is is that I didn't know that Andrade
<v Speaker 4>had gotten injured and that's why Austin Theory was stuck
<v Speaker 4>in this match. But it seems like she's building, like
<v Speaker 4>I'd said a couple of months ago, her own little
<v Speaker 4>like corporation, you know, like her own little faction very
<v Speaker 4>much Hayman what he did back in the day with
<v Speaker 4>his with his guys. And she's picking up these stars
<v Speaker 4>and she she's taking them under her wing and and
<v Speaker 4>and she brings, you know, stuff to them when she's
<v Speaker 4>representing them as their advisor or whatever whatever term they
<v Speaker 4>use for her. So I think that's a good takeaway
<v Speaker 4>of it, is another person added to her arsenal people,
<v Speaker 4>because now she's got three people under her wings, and
<v Speaker 4>I want to see how she builds on this. I
<v Speaker 4>thought it was going to be a strict, strictly Hispanic
<v Speaker 4>faction going forward, but obviously also theory is not Hispanic.

<v Speaker 4>own little recruiting of people. And it's been a long
<v Speaker 4>time since we've had a manager managing different people. It's

<v Speaker 5>recent years, has been kind of opposed to the idea
<v Speaker 5>of managers, and I've never really gotten a concise answer
<v Speaker 5>as to why. Because Brocklesner doesn't work without Paul Hayman.

<v Speaker 5>Mary that you're right that it was going to be
<v Speaker 5>kind of an all Hispanic, kind of stable, and I
<v Speaker 5>think they pulled the cord at the last minute. I've
<v Speaker 5>talked about Austin Theory a few times on the NXT
<v Speaker 5>show in that he's very clearly, very talented and they
<v Speaker 5>see a lot in him. But what they haven't done
<v Speaker 5>a lot of yet is kind of get into his character.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, he recently on his last match with with
<v Speaker 5>Tyler Breeze, he kind of was a heel and that's
<v Speaker 5>been a little bit more interesting. But hopefully down the
<v Speaker 5>road here, with Sealina's help, we can get more of
<v Speaker 5>a character out of Austin Theory if he's going to
<v Speaker 5>be on the main roster now and like you said,
<v Speaker 5>on kind of keeping up with the show, he's on
<v Speaker 5>the show again, So hopefully Austin Theory can kind of
<v Speaker 5>get more of a character out of this with Zalina's help,
<v Speaker 5>because that seems to be her specialty, and she kind
<v Speaker 5>of talks you into the building and then the workers work,
<v Speaker 5>and then like I said, the only other takeaway is
<v Speaker 5>that seeing Bianca bel Air, I was talking to somebody
<v Speaker 5>on Twitter who was asking about Bianca and she interfered
<v Speaker 5>in that match, and I was like it seems like
<v Speaker 5>a soft move up into the main roster. That's an
<v Speaker 5>interesting way to bring somebody the main roster. Haven't seen
<v Speaker 5>a lot of that before, So, I mean, not a
<v Speaker 5>lot to talk about with the match. Seems like this
<v Speaker 5>will be the shortest one we have, but I mean
<v Speaker 5>it's cool to see Bianca coming up to the main
<v Speaker 5>roster hopefully, and it's always good to see Zelina being
<v Speaker 5>probably the best manager in WWE.
<v Speaker 1>I honestly don't have a whole lot to add. You mean,
<v Speaker 1>I think we are all pretty much in sync about
<v Speaker 1>this match because it was I hate to say it
<v Speaker 1>was kind of a bathroom break match, but given the
<v Speaker 1>rest of the card, it kind of was. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>like it was what it was. I don't know how there.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there wasn't a whole lot of buil to
<v Speaker 1>this match. I know that back a month or two ago,
<v Speaker 1>we were all looking at the possibility of a United
<v Speaker 1>States Championship Ladder match with Angel Garzan, Berta Carreo Andrade
<v Speaker 1>in this match, and I was looking forward to that
<v Speaker 1>because I said that those guys could work a hell
<v Speaker 1>of a match, steal the show. Obviously, with the situation
<v Speaker 1>as it is, things changed drastically and we get Austin
<v Speaker 1>Theory put into the mix and Andreiday's nowhere to be
<v Speaker 1>found as he's injured. So it was a fine match.
<v Speaker 1>You know, it was kind of just a standard, you know,
<v Speaker 1>who's gonna win as they should. Effort was there, It
<v Speaker 1>didn't blow you away. It was just kind of there,
<v Speaker 1>almost as like background music kind of a match. And
<v Speaker 1>I'm not trying to insult the guys, but it was
<v Speaker 1>what it was. I don't know how anybody could be
<v Speaker 1>super invested in this match emotionally. Yeah, So all right,
<v Speaker 1>moving on though to the fatal five way elimination match
<v Speaker 1>for the SmackDown Women's Championship with Bailey, Sasha, Temina, Naomi
<v Speaker 1>and Lacy Zach. You go first this time.
<v Speaker 5>So this one kind of has the same thing to
<v Speaker 5>me where this match was literally thrown together by page
<v Speaker 5>in storyline, and you know, having Bailey have to actually
<v Speaker 5>go through all of these people that she's beaten, it's
<v Speaker 5>an interesting.
<v Speaker 6>Way to kind of do that where she's run.
<v Speaker 5>Through most of these people, but now you're going having
<v Speaker 5>to go through all of them, and I don't really
<v Speaker 5>have a lot on the match itself. It was fine,
<v Speaker 5>and everybody worked hard. It's just kind of the setup
<v Speaker 5>with Sasha and Bailey and seems like they're gonna go
<v Speaker 5>forward with that. I thought that Sasha might win the
<v Speaker 5>title here for the same reason that Drew did, where
<v Speaker 5>they just kind of pull the trigger. But I mean,
<v Speaker 5>they may be hopefully setting up for Bailey and Sasha.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know if it's at SummerSlam. I don't know
<v Speaker 5>if it's later down the line, but yeah, I don't
<v Speaker 5>have a lot for this match either, other than I
<v Speaker 5>think it was good. I like Bailey as a healing
<v Speaker 5>as a champion. I think she's doing a really good
<v Speaker 5>job with what she's given and I'm excited to see
<v Speaker 5>how we get to Sasha Bailey, which it seems like
<v Speaker 5>we're setting up.
<v Speaker 4>I thought it was a really good match for being
<v Speaker 4>thrown together. I still again, they always have matches like
<v Speaker 4>this where you're like, why is this person in this match?
<v Speaker 4>And Tonina being in this is like why are you
<v Speaker 4>in this match? It's like she's injured and then she's
<v Speaker 4>automatically in a title shot match or some main storyline,
<v Speaker 4>and then she gets eliminated. First there was somebody else.
<v Speaker 4>It was like kinda it was like Sarah Logan in
<v Speaker 4>the match at elimination chamber, like why are you here?
<v Speaker 4>I don't understand why you're here. So, I mean, she
<v Speaker 4>was eliminated first, but I think I think everybody did
<v Speaker 4>a good showing. I thought Lacy Evans was really impressive
<v Speaker 4>in the match. I mean I was pooh pooing on
<v Speaker 4>her a couple of months ago, but it really does
<v Speaker 4>seem like she went back and retrained and she's gotten
<v Speaker 4>better with her mood sets and her spots, and she
<v Speaker 4>doesn't seem as lost as she was when she was
<v Speaker 4>first called up to the main roster. So I knew
<v Speaker 4>she wasn't gonna win, but I was pretty impressed with
<v Speaker 4>her performance during the whole entire match. She was entertaining
<v Speaker 4>to watch, interesting to watch to see how much she's
<v Speaker 4>progressed over the last couple of months. I really thought
<v Speaker 4>Sasha was winning this. I thought they were going to
<v Speaker 4>do the turn, you know, because it's every woman for herself.
<v Speaker 4>And I've been saying this for months. Matt knows, you know.
<v Speaker 4>The pairing of the two of them seems like it
<v Speaker 4>should be reverse. Sasha is a star, Bailly is more
<v Speaker 4>of the sidekick, even though Bailly. The last couple of weeks,
<v Speaker 4>she's been getting super annoying and aggravating the watch, and
<v Speaker 4>I think that's what she's trying to do, and she's
<v Speaker 4>very arrogant, and I think she's becoming more comfortable in
<v Speaker 4>this character than she was in the original version of Bailey.
<v Speaker 4>So I'm not really mad that she routines. I just
<v Speaker 4>thought that they were finally going to do the switcheros somehow,
<v Speaker 4>and this would have been a perfect spot for Sasha
<v Speaker 4>to win, and it just kind of be like, oh, well,
<v Speaker 4>you know, it was every woman for herself and Bailly
<v Speaker 4>get eliminated, you know, by getting pinned by somebody else,
<v Speaker 4>so Sasha didn't have to pin her, so they wouldn't
<v Speaker 4>necessarily turn on each other, do you get what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 4>So they would still be their team up as their partners,
<v Speaker 4>as they are as their best friends, but the roles
<v Speaker 4>are and Sasha should be the one with the title
<v Speaker 4>because she brings more away, even though, like I said,
<v Speaker 4>Bailey is progressively slowly getting better in her role as
<v Speaker 4>a champ right now. So I mean I was a
<v Speaker 4>little disappointed in that. I'm not really mad that she retained,
<v Speaker 4>but now, I just don't know how they're going to
<v Speaker 4>do it forward if they're just gonna completely split the
<v Speaker 4>two of them up and they're gonna end up becoming enemies,
<v Speaker 4>and then who's the face and who's you know, the heel,
<v Speaker 4>because Sasha shouldn't be a face, and Bailey's thriving way
<v Speaker 4>more as a heel than she ever did as a
<v Speaker 4>face on the main roster. So I just thought it
<v Speaker 4>was a missopportunity to have Bailey get pinned in the
<v Speaker 4>match by Naomi or even Lacy Evans in a shocker,
<v Speaker 4>and then have Sasha win the title and them not
<v Speaker 4>having the split up and them just being like, well,
<v Speaker 4>at least we still have the title in our in
<v Speaker 4>both of our hands, you know what I mean. So
<v Speaker 4>we're still the top of the top of the division.
<v Speaker 4>So that's that's my only complaint about it. But I'm
<v Speaker 4>not really mad about it. I just don't know how
<v Speaker 4>they're going to move forward with it.
<v Speaker 1>I think they made the right move, I really do,
<v Speaker 1>because when you look at this, many people were anticipating
<v Speaker 1>Sasha Banks being the one to take the belt, and
<v Speaker 1>then there's tension, and then it's a it's an automatic
<v Speaker 1>face turn. What they've done is take the slow road,
<v Speaker 1>which I love. I love that they've They've basically just
<v Speaker 1>planted the seeds for tension to build with Sasha and Bailey,
<v Speaker 1>because now you have the case if you're Sasha of
<v Speaker 1>keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, and if
<v Speaker 1>you have a quote friend that you're that you're close
<v Speaker 1>with on the roster that's the champion, they would probably
<v Speaker 1>number one trust you more and maybe give you an
<v Speaker 1>opportunity to challenge for the belt. And so I think
<v Speaker 1>that that is exactly what Sasha has done once it's
<v Speaker 1>revealed that you know she is going to be turning
<v Speaker 1>on Bailey, which I really don't think is going to
<v Speaker 1>happen for a couple of months. I mean, I wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>say all the way at summer Slim, that'd be a
<v Speaker 1>little bit too far. But maybe the next pay per
<v Speaker 1>view not money in the bank, but I don't know
<v Speaker 1>whatever comes after that. I don't think it's King of
<v Speaker 1>the Ring. It's a King of the Ring. I don't
<v Speaker 1>even know, but whatever pay per view in June that
<v Speaker 1>we have, And so I like this, and also you
<v Speaker 1>have the whole page being returning tease. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if Page has any interest, nor do I know if
<v Speaker 1>she can physically go inside the ring. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if it's going to be a feel good type of
<v Speaker 1>Daniel Bryan Edge's story where she's able to return from
<v Speaker 1>her neck injury. But there's you know, there seems to
<v Speaker 1>be some constant follow up with Page about what she
<v Speaker 1>did about creating this match, and so I'm fine with it,
<v Speaker 1>and and so if they take the slow road, I
<v Speaker 1>like Bailey as champion. You guys alluded to it. She
<v Speaker 1>seems to be naturally the psychics to Sasha. But but
<v Speaker 1>mary that I mean, she does. She seems to be
<v Speaker 1>growing slowly into the alpha female because you still look
<v Speaker 1>at Sasha and she just just oozes a bigger star
<v Speaker 1>than Bailey. But Bailey seems to be finally digging her
<v Speaker 1>heels into what and who she is as champion. For
<v Speaker 1>a while, she was the silent heel SmackDown champion that
<v Speaker 1>she turned and then we didn't hear anything from her
<v Speaker 1>for months and months, and you're like, well, what the
<v Speaker 1>hell did you do for if you're not gonna give
<v Speaker 1>her any follow up? And now that they finally dug
<v Speaker 1>back in with her, she's finally feeling herself. It feels
<v Speaker 1>like she's understanding what the heel version of Bailey is
<v Speaker 1>and that's what's really starting to catch on. So I hope,
<v Speaker 1>I really do hope that Bailey holds onto this belt
<v Speaker 1>as long as humanly possible until eventually, which is predictably fine.
<v Speaker 1>And I totally am good with Sasha taking the belt
<v Speaker 1>off of her as a babyface because when and how
<v Speaker 1>we get that turn, I think is gonna be very
<v Speaker 1>interesting to see week by week, see the cracks start
<v Speaker 1>to slowly form and then there's a spiderweb of cracks
<v Speaker 1>and it's just a slow build. I'm always a big
<v Speaker 1>fan of that. So I'd give this match, you know
<v Speaker 1>it could be. If I was gonna grade it, i'd
<v Speaker 1>say it was very good. And you said it. Lacy
<v Speaker 1>Evans got a really really good showing here and being
<v Speaker 1>able to pin Sasha Banks and then it's Bailey now
<v Speaker 1>only Bailey alone, and the fire that she showed was good. Tamina,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, come on, like, as you said, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Tomina in anything is just like, what is she doing here?
<v Speaker 1>It's true because she didn't do anything to earn this
<v Speaker 1>title opportunity. It was just kind of like, all right, well,
<v Speaker 1>who's left. I don't like that they just hand these out,
<v Speaker 1>especially at WrestleMania. So based on WWE's schedule of booking Tomina,
<v Speaker 1>we'll probably see her sometime in November.
<v Speaker 6>That's fine with me.
<v Speaker 4>She's probably got like a torn ligament or something from
<v Speaker 4>last night. She gets injured after every big match she has,
<v Speaker 4>so I wouldn't be surprised if they say she's on
<v Speaker 4>the injured list. I'm not like trying to knock her,
<v Speaker 4>but she's just very injury prone, you know. But I
<v Speaker 4>don't know as far as I have more theories about
<v Speaker 4>what's going on with the Raw title that I do
<v Speaker 4>with the SmackDown title, So I don't know what direction
<v Speaker 4>they're gonna move forward with Bailey. But again, I didn't
<v Speaker 4>hate it. I just thought that it was a good
<v Speaker 4>opportunity to not split them up, and then they still
<v Speaker 4>have the title and they have the roles reversed, and
<v Speaker 4>then maybe the cracks start them where Bailey gets jealous
<v Speaker 4>of Sasha. I think that would have been a better
<v Speaker 4>angle of it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm with you, you know, I really, I just I
<v Speaker 1>can't complain about the outcome here. I mean I don't
<v Speaker 1>think anyone can really, like really hate this because you
<v Speaker 1>got the look between Sasha and Bailey at the end
<v Speaker 1>where Sasha comes back and you're like, what is she
<v Speaker 1>gonna do? And she ends up hitting her finish on
<v Speaker 1>on on Lacy Evans and you're like, Okay, I see
<v Speaker 1>what's happening here. But she kind of gave a stare
<v Speaker 1>to Bailey. It was quick, but I there's something there
<v Speaker 1>that they're gonna build on and we all know it's coming.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's fine with a slow burn, you know, sign
<v Speaker 1>me up. I'm I'm on board for it. I think
<v Speaker 1>it's an interesting story to tell, then just flipping a
<v Speaker 1>light switch and then doing it right away when everyone
<v Speaker 1>thinks it's coming anyway, and then well there's no payoff, right,
<v Speaker 1>You've already paid it off. So to me, I like
<v Speaker 1>a story being built to a destination, and that's where
<v Speaker 1>they're going with this. I think, all right, let's move on,
<v Speaker 1>and we've only got a couple of matches left. I
<v Speaker 1>promise we have Otis and Dolf Ziggler and my so
<v Speaker 1>I'll get my quick thoughts on this and then I'll
<v Speaker 1>toss it to Mary Otis and Zigler have been. It's
<v Speaker 1>been a story that I've actually been enjoying. It's been
<v Speaker 1>the opposite of what was Lana and Lashley, and that
<v Speaker 1>was easy to follow. You're rooting for the good guy.
<v Speaker 1>You're kind of rooting for that underdog that you know,
<v Speaker 1>the the guy that doesn't really look like he belongs
<v Speaker 1>with that super hot woman and you're like, you know,
<v Speaker 1>you're kind of rooting for him because you know there's
<v Speaker 1>not a really good chance and you find out that
<v Speaker 1>she's interested in him, and then it ultimately falls flat
<v Speaker 1>because you have the jock of the sports team come
<v Speaker 1>in and swoop her away. And that's the story that
<v Speaker 1>they've told here, and it's been a very easy to follow, relatable,
<v Speaker 1>you know story that they told. Well, and Otis ends
<v Speaker 1>up finally getting his hands on Dolf Ziggler and you know,
<v Speaker 1>he gets the girl. He wins the match. As Michael
<v Speaker 1>Cole said, I don't like that he won with a caterpillar.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like, that's all you're gonna do is just
<v Speaker 1>do it like a Basically, it's the Scotty too hotty
<v Speaker 1>worm rephrased as the caterpillar with just an elbow drop.
<v Speaker 1>You couldn't have. I don't know, with all the anger
<v Speaker 1>and pent up frustration, and he snapped on SmackDown. He
<v Speaker 1>ends it with just like an elbow, and I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>That's the only nippick I have about it. It was
<v Speaker 1>a feel good, happy ending story. They finally kiss and
<v Speaker 1>he walks out with Mandy in arms, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>I was fine with it. I'm sure Otis in real
<v Speaker 1>life is probably like hell yeah, right, like yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>I mean seriously, because not to make assumptions, but the
<v Speaker 1>reality is he's probably not making out with too many
<v Speaker 1>women that look like Mandy Rose in his real life,
<v Speaker 1>so he's probably gonna cherish this moment for even in
<v Speaker 1>his personal life, for many years to come. You know,
<v Speaker 1>I understand it. I probably would too, So good for Otis.
<v Speaker 1>It was a feel good moment. Ziggler get got what's
<v Speaker 1>coming to him, He walks out and gets the girl.
<v Speaker 1>I had no problem with this, you know, this was
<v Speaker 1>just a feel good moment. They put they did what
<v Speaker 1>they were supposed to, and they put a smile on
<v Speaker 1>my face. So Mary, what do you think.
<v Speaker 4>I mean? I couldn't this was the pee break match
<v Speaker 4>for me. I haven't really been invested. But I get
<v Speaker 4>what you're saying. All your points are right. You know,
<v Speaker 4>you know, the unattractive guy gets the girl over the
<v Speaker 4>you know, the it's every nineties movie or eighties movie
<v Speaker 4>that you've ever watched in your life, you know, coming
<v Speaker 4>of age, teenage movie. And you're absolutely right. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think that Mandy Rose would be making out with him.
<v Speaker 4>And that's me just being a jerk, because I'm a
<v Speaker 4>jerk in real life. But what's more interesting than me
<v Speaker 4>is the Sonya Deville angle where we got the reveal
<v Speaker 4>the other day about what actually happened with the Valentine's
<v Speaker 4>Day date and how this all came out, and we're
<v Speaker 4>doing the texting and then you know, finally the glitches
<v Speaker 4>were revealed that it's some guy behind a desk. We're
<v Speaker 4>in a dark hood kind of. I guess I robot
<v Speaker 4>whatever that show is on USA, which I still haven't
<v Speaker 4>watched it on the list kind of like masterminding all this.
<v Speaker 4>So my question coming at is who is that? Is
<v Speaker 4>that a man? Is that a woman? Is it somebody
<v Speaker 4>watching The Woman's Division? Like it's kind of got that
<v Speaker 4>GTV feel to it, So it's it's this storyline that
<v Speaker 4>I really didn't care about because it was just like,
<v Speaker 4>you know, me and Matt are going back, and he
<v Speaker 4>was like, oh, well, obviously Mandy Rose is an interest
<v Speaker 4>in him and she's gonna end up playing him and
<v Speaker 4>then hurting him. But now he got the girl, or
<v Speaker 4>it looks like he got the girl. So it kind
<v Speaker 4>of went in a different direction than we were predicting it.
<v Speaker 4>But now you have this whole other thing that's going on. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>you got like, Soya Deville and Mandy Rose now obviously
<v Speaker 4>not friends anymore, and that's going to be a match
<v Speaker 4>moving forward. I don't know what her intentions were. I
<v Speaker 4>don't know if it's because she's in love with Mandy Rose.
<v Speaker 4>If you guys paid attention to Total Divas and hate
<v Speaker 4>watch it like I do, there was an angle where
<v Speaker 4>Mandy Zoya Deville was trying to get an angle, a
<v Speaker 4>lesbian angle between her and Mandy Rose as a storyline.
<v Speaker 4>So I don't know if it's because she's in love
<v Speaker 4>with her, because you know, she's out gay, you know,
<v Speaker 4>in everything, and maybe she was trying to get Mandy
<v Speaker 4>or she felt that Mandy didn't deserve somebody like that,
<v Speaker 4>because why she helping Dolph out to like get Mandy.
<v Speaker 4>There's a lot of moving pieces to this. My question
<v Speaker 4>is is who's the person behind the computer that is
<v Speaker 4>watching people and keeping tabs on everybody and revealing truths?
<v Speaker 4>And is it gonna end up being female? Could it
<v Speaker 4>be a returning person? I don't know. I could. I

<v Speaker 4>where that storyline is going, and I hope they do

<v Speaker 5>Did a good job of kind of beating Otis down,
<v Speaker 5>beating Otis down, and you know, Dall Zigler is like
<v Speaker 5>the perfect guy to use for this kind of story

<v Speaker 5>the ending of the match was was weird in terms
<v Speaker 5>of just the finishing sequence, but I mean that's this
<v Speaker 5>is the classic WrestleMania, you know, you know, much lower
<v Speaker 5>scale macho man Elizabeth kind of deal or you know,
<v Speaker 5>the John c and the Nikki Bella thing that we
<v Speaker 5>all know worked out great.
<v Speaker 6>It was just kind of.
<v Speaker 5>A it was a good kind of feel good ending
<v Speaker 5>that you knew was coming. But it's still, you know,
<v Speaker 5>fun to see. It's been really entertaining on SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 5>Otis is always just entertaining to watch, whether he's wrestling
<v Speaker 5>or not. And yeah, the people, the person kind of
<v Speaker 5>going around revealing secrets and the thing. It's almost like
<v Speaker 5>an old GTV thing from WWF. So I'm interested to
<v Speaker 5>see kind of what happens from that because I don't
<v Speaker 5>even know who it would be. But I mean, this
<v Speaker 5>part of the story was very fun. You knew it
<v Speaker 5>was coming. This is another one that was kind of
<v Speaker 5>hurt by not having a live crowd because I feel
<v Speaker 5>like it got a good reaction online, but I feel
<v Speaker 5>like it would have been a great reaction in the building.
<v Speaker 6>But yeah, I mean, I'm I'm I.
<v Speaker 5>Like, you know, little stories like this, and you know,
<v Speaker 5>it's kind of inconsequential for what's going on with the
<v Speaker 5>rest of the roster, but it's a good kind of
<v Speaker 5>little self contained story that I feel like they did
<v Speaker 5>pretty well considering the circumstances.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, i'd agree, and I you know, you guys both
<v Speaker 1>alluded to it. The big question is, now that we
<v Speaker 1>got the ending, well what's next. And what's next is
<v Speaker 1>the question of who is that guy behind the computer?

<v Speaker 1>I haven't seen these two lock up ever in a
<v Speaker 1>live format. So anytime you put Alistair Black with anybody,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be a good match. And Bobby Lashley
<v Speaker 1>I think too. He changed up his look and some
<v Speaker 1>people didn't like it. I have somebody that was texting
<v Speaker 1>me last night that said they didn't like it. I
<v Speaker 1>actually kind of liked the different look for Bobby Lashley
<v Speaker 1>instead of wearing the you know, the tidy whities. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I was actually a big fan of the the tights
<v Speaker 1>head on. I really enjoyed that he changed it up
<v Speaker 1>and Lana dyeing her hair. She's back, so something, even
<v Speaker 1>a small tweak like that can freshen him up. And
<v Speaker 1>so Bobby Lashley is a physical specimen. Alistair Black defeating
<v Speaker 1>him certainly just shows you where w WE c's Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black going. This match came out of nowhere to put
<v Speaker 1>it on WrestleMania. This is not even I mean, this
<v Speaker 1>is barely raw worthy as far as you know how
<v Speaker 1>they built it. I mean, let's be honest, this is
<v Speaker 1>not WrestleMania worthy at all, and when you look at
<v Speaker 1>what WrestleMania should be. But I was fine with it.
<v Speaker 1>This was a quality wrestling match. It exceeded my expectations
<v Speaker 1>at Alistair Black Woman with Black mass in one black
<v Speaker 1>mass no kickouts, and the right person won. And it's
<v Speaker 1>going to elevate Alistair to the next level. So I'm
<v Speaker 1>good with it. Did you like it?

<v Speaker 5>I I the first ww Live event that my now
<v Speaker 5>wife was nice enough to take me to. We got
<v Speaker 5>to see Alistair Black when he was just Tommy End
<v Speaker 5>and he didn't have the whole character yet, and you know,
<v Speaker 5>you see the tattoos and you see the way he works.
<v Speaker 5>I hadn't seen a lot of him before, and I've
<v Speaker 5>been a big Alistair Black fan like most people since then,
<v Speaker 5>and so I'm always glad when he's in You're right,
<v Speaker 5>it's not WrestleMania worthy, but you know, it does mean
<v Speaker 5>something to me. When you're in a one on one
<v Speaker 5>match in WrestleMania, you know, at least at least it's something.
<v Speaker 5>And he was left off the show sitting in a
<v Speaker 5>dark room waiting for somebody to challenge him. And Alista
<v Speaker 5>Black always has quality matches. It doesn't matter if you
<v Speaker 5>put him in there with somebody with a story, it
<v Speaker 5>doesn't matter if you just you know, build something up.
<v Speaker 6>He's going to have a really good match.
<v Speaker 5>And I've always been a big Bobby Lashley fan. I
<v Speaker 5>can't really tell you why, just I saw his kind
<v Speaker 5>of first run in his match with John Cena. I
<v Speaker 5>think it was, you know, when he when he jumped
<v Speaker 5>at the steel cage.
<v Speaker 6>And knocked it over on Umaga.
<v Speaker 5>I think I was a sucker after that, and so
<v Speaker 5>when he first came back, I was really excited to
<v Speaker 5>see what they could do with him because in TNA
<v Speaker 5>he really did go to another level and become a
<v Speaker 5>much more well rounded performer. And since then he hasn't
<v Speaker 5>had a lot to do. He had the weird, you know,
<v Speaker 5>lot of kind of Russev story that we went through, he.
<v Speaker 6>Hasn't had a lot to do.
<v Speaker 5>And You're right, Matt, he did change up his look
<v Speaker 5>and he's doing things a little bit differently, which is
<v Speaker 5>really interesting to see. And hopefully, like you said, again,
<v Speaker 5>this was not a WrestleMania match. This was barely This wouldn't.

<v Speaker 5>But hopefully putting these guys together them having a really
<v Speaker 5>good match kind of sets things up for them going forward.
<v Speaker 5>I'm ready to see Alistair Black moved up more toward

<v Speaker 5>and I'm more excited to see where they're going to
<v Speaker 5>take Bobby Lashley next, because when you put him in
<v Speaker 5>the ring, he's he's very good. You just got to
<v Speaker 5>give him the opportunity, and like I said, hopefully best
<v Speaker 5>case scenario, this kind of acts as like a launching
<v Speaker 5>point for both of them where we will start doing
<v Speaker 5>more with both of these performers that I feel like
<v Speaker 5>could add a lot of value to different you know,
<v Speaker 5>feuds going forward.

<v Speaker 4>you guys said. It was a good No, It's just
<v Speaker 4>it was it felt like a filler match to me,
<v Speaker 4>and it was. You know, I love Alistair Black. He's
<v Speaker 4>probably one of my favorites on the roster, so anytime

<v Speaker 4>be a good match. I've never really had a problem
<v Speaker 4>with Bobby Lashley. It's just I think that they don't.

<v Speaker 4>like such a mismatch with him. Like when she was
<v Speaker 4>with Russev it worked, It just doesn't work with him,

<v Speaker 4>dyed her hair, she looks weird as a brunette to me. One,
<v Speaker 4>she's a blonde. She's a blonde totally through. You just
<v Speaker 4>look at her and she screams blonde. So this is
<v Speaker 4>a girl talking right now. And then like two, I
<v Speaker 4>made the comment of I love how she went from
<v Speaker 4>sexy business suits to ninety style hooker dresses because that's
<v Speaker 4>what she wears now. And I just don't know, like
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what she's trying to do. I feel
<v Speaker 4>like a lot is always lost in try and have
<v Speaker 4>her character. And I think she was best when she
<v Speaker 4>had a Russian accent and she was Russov's manager. So
<v Speaker 4>that being said, I still think it's a mismatch with Lastly.
<v Speaker 4>I still think they're missing the boat with putting Lashly
<v Speaker 4>with Hayman that has just like been screaming since Lastly
<v Speaker 4>has come back, same prototype, same thing as Brock, you know,
<v Speaker 4>and then you have a reason for Hayman to be
<v Speaker 4>on TV when when Lesner is not there. So I
<v Speaker 4>like his new book. I didn't I didn't mind the tights.
<v Speaker 4>He looked good like whatever. Again, it was a good
<v Speaker 4>match again, I don't. It's more of the outside stuff
<v Speaker 4>that they're putting in and they're trying to do. But yeah,
<v Speaker 4>Alistair Black, I feel like he should be in the
<v Speaker 4>main events scene already. I think he should have been
<v Speaker 4>there a while ago. I think they got lost on
<v Speaker 4>him too. I think like they get like weirded out
<v Speaker 4>when they have like goth metal types. They just don't
<v Speaker 4>know what to do with them, unless it's like the Undertaker,
<v Speaker 4>So like I just I feel like the WAE still
<v Speaker 4>doesn't know what to do with either of them. I
<v Speaker 4>don't think you really need to do much with Alistair Black.
<v Speaker 4>He is what he is. What you see is what
<v Speaker 4>you get, and I think that works for him. It's
<v Speaker 4>good that he's the strong, silent type and he doesn't
<v Speaker 4>have to talk to get his point across of how
<v Speaker 4>dangerous he actually is. And it's the same thing with
<v Speaker 4>Bobby Lashley, Like he's big, big dude, and he's good
<v Speaker 4>in the ring and he's a powerhouse. But the problem
<v Speaker 4>is is that he does need somebody to talk for him.
<v Speaker 4>So I just think that once they get the right manager,
<v Speaker 4>because I don't think I can't see them keeping Lana
<v Speaker 4>with him for much longer. You know, like Russev was
<v Speaker 4>okay without Lana, which was surprising. He's funny and he
<v Speaker 4>changed his character up that he didn't need her anymore.
<v Speaker 4>But these three players in this whole thing right now
<v Speaker 4>are very very They don't know what to do with them,
<v Speaker 4>and they keep trying to change him and put him
<v Speaker 4>in different things. But I think Elise their black out above,
<v Speaker 4>everybody's gonna gonna be fine, and they'll eventually figure out
<v Speaker 4>that that guy is main event star and that he
<v Speaker 4>will be able to be what he is without any help.
<v Speaker 4>As far as Lana and Lashley go, I think Lashley
<v Speaker 4>needs a new manager and I think it should be
<v Speaker 4>Paul Hayman. That's that's my final thought. I thought that again,
<v Speaker 4>like I said, for years, since he's come back whatever.
<v Speaker 4>And Lana, they just they need to figure out what
<v Speaker 4>to do with her too. I think she needs somebody

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so Lana, and lastly, that storyline clearly played out.

<v Speaker 1>just go okay. Well, after that storyline ended, they with
<v Speaker 1>her and live Morgan, and they live Morgan was beating her,
<v Speaker 1>but nobody cared, and there was. Honestly, I was never
<v Speaker 1>a fan of that whole angle, especially Lana on the MIC.
<v Speaker 1>I know people found her annoying. I found her annoying
<v Speaker 1>to the point of channel changing, not annoying in good
<v Speaker 1>heal heat. So Lana, you know, pairing with Lashley, I'm
<v Speaker 1>ready for that to be over to. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what the explanation is if you sow. At the end
<v Speaker 1>of that match, though, Lana looked at Lashly as almost like,
<v Speaker 1>how dare you? You know, almost in anger, not in
<v Speaker 1>like concern for his well being, but in anger for
<v Speaker 1>you know, like you you know, I'm your wife, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I don't deserve to be associated with somebody that loses.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I read in her eyes. So that could
<v Speaker 1>be something that they play off of and work off
<v Speaker 1>of to eventually split these two up. Because yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>one its course, let's let's move on. I mean, maybe
<v Speaker 1>even Lashly lessner. People have been talking about that forever.
<v Speaker 1>You know, obviously you do have to do a lot
<v Speaker 1>of repair on Lashley and his character and build them
<v Speaker 1>up for several months. But the point is, I'm ready
<v Speaker 1>for Lana and Lashley move on. I'm ready for Lashleie
<v Speaker 1>to do something of substance. I'm ready for Alice or
<v Speaker 1>Black to do something of substance, and that's not necessarily
<v Speaker 1>world title, but get them in an oppert get them
<v Speaker 1>in a different program, get them doing something different, of
<v Speaker 1>something that you can sink your teeth into, and you
<v Speaker 1>know you're not just gonna look at them on a
<v Speaker 1>weekly basis and go, Okay, well, this isn't a real
<v Speaker 1>a real pro they're into. This is just kind of
<v Speaker 1>a you know, a Monday night one off, and what
<v Speaker 1>they've been doing is just kind of one offs. They're
<v Speaker 1>not in anything that's of any meaning, so I think
<v Speaker 1>we're all on the same page of that. The final
<v Speaker 1>match is really I mean, it's the the kickoff match
<v Speaker 1>of Natalia and Live Morgan, and Morgan defeated Natalia. I
<v Speaker 1>honestly don't know what to say about this because it
<v Speaker 1>didn't doesn't mean anything, I mean, other than Live Morgan
<v Speaker 1>getting a victory over in Natalia, which is a big deal.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it signals anything. It's on the
<v Speaker 1>kickoff show or the pre show, whatever you want to
<v Speaker 1>call it, and Morgan wins. I mean, that's a little
<v Speaker 1>surprising given Natalia's stature and longevity and all that and
<v Speaker 1>veteran status in the company. So you get Morgan's morganna
<v Speaker 1>Win who desperately needed it after her transformation from pink
<v Speaker 1>to blonde and being Lana's lover and then going nowhere
<v Speaker 1>with that and losing to Lana, or rather being in
<v Speaker 1>matches with Lana that she didn't lose to her. But
<v Speaker 1>so I'm fine with this. It's a bit surprising the outcome.
<v Speaker 1>It may signal that they're actually going to do something
<v Speaker 1>with liv Morgan. Did you get that same feeling, Zach?

<v Speaker 5>This was like the ultimate in why why is this
<v Speaker 5>a match? I found out about it on Twitter and
<v Speaker 5>there there wasn't a personal issue between them, There was nothing.

<v Speaker 5>I feel like, if I were a performer, even if
<v Speaker 5>I'm on the kickoff show, you're you know, it's still
<v Speaker 5>WrestleMania and you're you're still performing, and they did what
<v Speaker 5>they could do with it. But with a match like this,
<v Speaker 5>where there's literally no setup and two people who don't
<v Speaker 5>seem to have ever really had an issue. I just
<v Speaker 5>don't understand why it needed to be a match, and
<v Speaker 5>when Live came back, it felt like it was going
<v Speaker 5>to be something where, you know, fans speculated she was
<v Speaker 5>going to be part of the Firefly funhouse, and then
<v Speaker 5>she comes back and she's put in this this dumb
<v Speaker 5>angle with Lana and Ruth that doesn't really go anywhere,
<v Speaker 5>and so I'm glad that they I guess that they
<v Speaker 5>got a match. And like you said, Natali does have
<v Speaker 5>veteran status and she's done a lot in the women's division,
<v Speaker 5>but I never cared. Natalia just never really did anything
<v Speaker 5>for me just as a performer, and so when they
<v Speaker 5>went into this match, it was like the ultimate end.
<v Speaker 5>Even if it were on RAW, I wouldn't necessarily care,
<v Speaker 5>just because I don't understand why this is happening. I

<v Speaker 4>you're gonna get aj most likely, unless she doesn't want
<v Speaker 4>to wrestle anymore. And I still think that she did
<v Speaker 4>retire because of an injury, but she was kind of
<v Speaker 4>forced out the door by the mean girls in the
<v Speaker 4>back end that her husband is seeing punk. So that's
<v Speaker 4>my crazy conspiracy theory about Becky. If it isn't Naya Jackson,
<v Speaker 4>it isn't Ronda Rousey, who is it? And who better
<v Speaker 4>to be the woman who started this whole entire thing
<v Speaker 4>and why the division is anywhere where it is right now?
<v Speaker 4>Who never got worthy dance opponents when she was in
<v Speaker 4>the division? All right, conspiracy theory, Mary off.
<v Speaker 6>Conspiracy Mary is the best.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that's want.
<v Speaker 4>It added to that, But that's that's all my thoughts
<v Speaker 4>about I thought Night one was solid. I thought all
<v Speaker 4>the matches were solid, except you know, Braun and Goldberg,
<v Speaker 4>which I think Braun wouldn't have gotten the title any
<v Speaker 4>other way if he wasn't put into that match, because
<v Speaker 4>I think that that ship had sailed already. It's gonna
<v Speaker 4>be interesting to see Roman come back and take that
<v Speaker 4>title back off of him. And and that's it. But
<v Speaker 4>I really wanted you. I want to hear what you
<v Speaker 4>guys think about my conspiracy theory. Other than that.
<v Speaker 6>I love I love the conspiracy theory.
<v Speaker 5>I didn't even think of it, and I think that
<v Speaker 5>that would be absolutely perfect. And you talk about return pops,
<v Speaker 5>I feel like Ajle would get a huge one, and
<v Speaker 5>I just feel like that would be such a cool way.
<v Speaker 5>Like you said, I think it was a great point
<v Speaker 5>that to have the person who started all of this
<v Speaker 5>and doesn't get the credit for it take the title
<v Speaker 5>back and make it hers again. I think that that's
<v Speaker 5>a really cool way to go with it that I
<v Speaker 5>hope they use going forward. And then as far as WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 5>I mean, we touched on everything. My whole thing with
<v Speaker 5>WrestleMania was you're not going to have a crowd, so
<v Speaker 5>hopefully wwe can come through with production. And I feel like,
<v Speaker 5>no matter what you thought of the individual matches and whatever,
<v Speaker 5>you thought of the lack of a crowd that we've
<v Speaker 5>touched on in just about every match. I feel like
<v Speaker 5>WWE did a great job under the circumstances of taking
<v Speaker 5>a really really bad situation and turning it on its
<v Speaker 5>head and working out different ways to make it interesting.
<v Speaker 5>And so while this isn't going to be compared to
<v Speaker 5>other WrestleManias in terms of reactions anything like that, this
<v Speaker 5>was one of the more memorable WrestleManias that I can remember.
<v Speaker 5>And that's gonna be my takeaway from this WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>Anytime I hear conspiracy theory, my mind goes right to
<v Speaker 1>cempunk aj Lee with you, Mary, I mean, like, that's
<v Speaker 1>just what I know you're going to because when it happens,
<v Speaker 1>I'm probably gonna hear a scream from New Jersey up
<v Speaker 1>to upstate New York. I mean, it's gonna happen. I
<v Speaker 1>really think it's inevitable before these two, for these two
<v Speaker 1>who eventually come back. And aj Lee, as you said,
<v Speaker 1>is so underappreciated. I think when you look at the
<v Speaker 1>history of the women's division, she was one of, if
<v Speaker 1>not one of the top five best talkers I've ever
<v Speaker 1>seen from the women's division, and to some degree a
<v Speaker 1>lot of the men couldn't hang with her in terms
<v Speaker 1>of a promo. She had a presence, she could, she
<v Speaker 1>could do mic drops at any time. She was She
<v Speaker 1>is the perfect perfect sidekick. I shouldn't even say that
<v Speaker 1>perfect ying to Yang with cmpunk. They just works so
<v Speaker 1>well together. Imagine them as a tag team. I mean
<v Speaker 1>I could go on so many different tangents about how
<v Speaker 1>good aj Lee is and crazy is their superpower? That
<v Speaker 1>is true. I haven't read the book. I probably should,
<v Speaker 1>is it?
<v Speaker 6>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I believe it, and so aj Lee I really yeah.
<v Speaker 1>People would pop and lose their minds. I just hope
<v Speaker 1>it's not in front of nobody, like you said. I
<v Speaker 1>hope it that it's when they decide and when it's
<v Speaker 1>safe to go back to a live format and have
<v Speaker 1>people there in attendance. But overall, my thoughts about WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, beyond the I'm not even gonna touch Firefly
<v Speaker 1>fun House again, but the whole presentation was I think
<v Speaker 1>as best as they probably could have done. And you know,
<v Speaker 1>I really I was torn on whether or not they
<v Speaker 1>should do this based on the circumstances, but the alternative
<v Speaker 1>was what wait, X amount of days, well how many
<v Speaker 1>days or how many months is that we don't know.
<v Speaker 1>So this was really their only option other than shut
<v Speaker 1>down completely. And you know what, it is a weird format.
<v Speaker 1>It's a formatum kind of like scarily getting used to
<v Speaker 1>of not having fans there, so when fans come back,
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna be like it's gonna be an explosion, like
<v Speaker 1>I really believe that. And to have nobody there though
<v Speaker 1>on the Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania is just a
<v Speaker 1>damn crime. I love that audience. It's the as Corey
<v Speaker 1>Grays with or Michael Cole or Byron Saxton, whatever propaganda
<v Speaker 1>that they're that they're forced to say about the fans
<v Speaker 1>of non traditional or whoever they cheer, they boo and
<v Speaker 1>boo they cheer, or whatever kind of crap that they
<v Speaker 1>like to spew this time of year about the audience
<v Speaker 1>that attends the Monday Night RA after WrestleMania. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>miss the chance, I'm gonna miss just the the energy
<v Speaker 1>of the unpredictability all that is. It's really sad that
<v Speaker 1>the virus hit this time of year instead of like
<v Speaker 1>you know, middle of summer into the UH to the
<v Speaker 1>holiday time, which nobody's really watching anyway, So the timing
<v Speaker 1>is tough. This Monday night raw with nobody there is tough.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, we got through a WrestleMania that I
<v Speaker 1>had somewhat low expectations for anyway. So I think this
<v Speaker 1>was a good This is a good WrestleMania and one
<v Speaker 1>that I think we will never forget and that this
<v Speaker 1>is gonna be one that we look back at and go,
<v Speaker 1>remember that WrestleMania where nobody was there that was so crazy.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, just to like feed off that, it's it's
<v Speaker 4>definitely one for the history of books. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 4>never happened before, It's never happened in two parts. I
<v Speaker 4>think that I was. I was on the same boat.
<v Speaker 4>I wanted them to postpone it because I just the
<v Speaker 4>thought of having WrestleMania without the crowd it's just so
<v Speaker 4>bizarre to me. But they did what they they could do.
<v Speaker 4>They did the best with the circumstances. I mean, they
<v Speaker 4>made it as safe as possible for the performers and
<v Speaker 4>everybody involved, and you know, like honestly, it was comforting,
<v Speaker 4>you know, because if we wouldn't have had WrestleMania, it's
<v Speaker 4>like not having the Super Bowl, you know, like it was.
<v Speaker 4>I thank them for doing it because it did take
<v Speaker 4>me out of everything that's going on right now, which
<v Speaker 4>is very uncertain. Nobody knows what's going on, and I
<v Speaker 4>was just happy that I got to watch wrestling and
<v Speaker 4>still be involved in something and like be able to
<v Speaker 4>talk to people online about it and stuff. I was
<v Speaker 4>zooming with my friend last night. We watched part two together.
<v Speaker 4>We were just talking, you know, so again, weird circumstances,
<v Speaker 4>but overall, I think it was a really solid WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>for working with what they had to work with. And
<v Speaker 4>I got caught up in the Undertaker match in the
<v Speaker 4>Firefly fun House. I know you did it, Matt, but
<v Speaker 4>I did and I thought it was great and it
<v Speaker 4>brought a smile in my face and I enjoyed it thoroughly. So,
<v Speaker 4>you know, props to WWE for doing what they do best,
<v Speaker 4>and they're known for doing stuff like this in situations.
<v Speaker 4>Everybody remembers the shows after nine to eleven, and they
<v Speaker 4>refuse to not bring something to the masses to just
<v Speaker 4>get them out of what's going on around them for
<v Speaker 4>five minutes or two hours or whatever they do. So
<v Speaker 4>I appreciate the at that they went on with the show.
<v Speaker 5>Zach any final thoughts, that's it, man, I'm glad they
<v Speaker 5>pulled it together and it was just a lot of
<v Speaker 5>fun to watch.
<v Speaker 6>That's that's what I got.
