724: 15 Transactions for Week 15

So Cory Davis left New York's game early on Sunday with a head injury that allowed Elijah Moore to sort of play the role that we thought he was gonna play this year. He ended up being used as the jets number two wide receiver. That hasn't always been a lock this season. Even when Corey Davis was sidelined, we saw Den's l Mims play that role, but Elijah Moore saw a season high twenty two point seven percent target share. He led the Jets and Targets on Sunday, and upcoming for the Jets is a matchup against the Lions. If Corey Davis can't go, Elijah Moore be a very solid option against that defense. So go ahead and grab him this week. Ad Mike White, So sticking with the Jets. I think that Mike White works too. I talked about him last week on the Mailbag episode and how his schedule in the playoffs looks really nice. That starts this week. According to Fandles Sportsbook, the early line in that Jets Lions game gives the Jets a twenty three point in ply team total and all the while, the Lions are the best matchup for quarterbacks and justin fantasy points allowed. But then after the Lions, he still has pretty good matchups. They get the Jags next week that's another top ten matchup, and then they close the season against the Seahawks. That's a decent enough matchup. So he gets the Lions, the Jags, and the Seahawks. That's a pretty good week fifteen through seventeen schedule. So if you need a quarterback, if you need a quarterback streamer, Mike White is your guy. Sell DJ Shark, So I was really into DJ Shark last week. Maybe that's a humble brag because he had a good game. But you guys can go back and listen to the show and you can hear that he was an AD on the fifteen Transactions episode, and I talked about him on the Sleeper Show. And I'm prefacing with that because now I'm saying to sell him. And the reason I'm saying that is because I don't think he's gonna maintain what he's been doing. He's been a top twenty four wide receiver in back to back games. He scored thirty six PPR points over his last two. So your expectations of DJ Shark, even from last week, they might have changed. Now he does have big playability, but like I said, I'm not that optimistic that this continues. Number one rookie Jamison Williams is slowly coming back from his injury. In Week fourteen, he had a nineteen percent snapshare. That might not sound that good, but in week thirteen that snapshare was ten percent, so basically doubled week over week. I think we should assume that that keeps moving up and up and up, especially because the Lions are competitive, and as that moves up, that's gonna hurt other wide receivers on that team, probably aside from Amaras Saint Brown. And if we're being honest, Detroit's wide receiver schedule is not very good. They get the Jets this week and New York ranks is the absolute worst matchup for wide receivers and adjusted Fantasy points allowed. They also tend to funnel targets in the middle of the field, and that's probably gonna help Amanas Saint Brown more than Djhark. In Week sixteen, it's a top five match up against Carolina. Great, that's good. But week seventeen they get Chicago. Now the Bears are beatable, but teams haven't attacked the Bears through the air. They've seen the second lowest pass rate against them this season, and they rank as a bottom ten matchup for wide receivers and adjusted fantasy points allowed as a result. So you get one bad matchup, one good matchup, and one iffy matchup. And with Jamison Williams likely going to see more and more work that scares me. With d add Chewba Hubbard, so you're gonna hear me talk about handcuffing running backs later on today's show. But Chuba Hubbard's not a handcuff. The Panthers have played well over their last two games, and those positive game scripts have led to Hubbard carrying the ball thirty one times now. He's seen just a thirty nine percent running back rush air per game, but he's been effective. He has a fifty percent success rate over his last two that's better than Deontay Foreman, and unlike Foreman, Hubbard's seen some work through the air. He had a fifteen percent target share in Week fourteen. He ended up running more routes than Foreman. The Panthers get the Steelers and then the Lions over their next two games. Those aren't amazing matchups by justin fantasy points allowed, but there's a chance that Carolina can be in those games. And if they're in games, if they see neutral game scripts, that means they can maintain this run heavy approach, which is what they want to do, and that's gonna then benefit Chuba Hubbard, and then obviously there is upside for Hubbard two if Foreman gets hurt by CD Lamb. Now, look, Week fourteen was a tough one for CD Lamb. He saw his lowest target share of the season at fifteen point four percent, and he failed to reach double digit PPR points for just the third time this season. But he also faced the Texans. I'm not sitting here saying that the Texans secondary is this amazing secondary, this great unit, but they have not been a good matchup for fantasy wide receivers. They've given up just one top twelve performance all season long. That happened all the way back in Week one. Teams tend to run on the Texans. They've seen the lowest pass rate against them this season, so overall because of the way the teams attack Houston, it was a tough matchup for the wide receivers. But I'm a believer that Lamb might win some fantasy championships this year. His target chair in the season is twenty nine percent. That's really really good. And in weeks fifteen through seventeen, Dallas gets the Jaguars, Eagles, and Titans. Now Philly isn't the easiest matchup on the play it, but Jacksonville and Tennessee those are good matchups. Those are top six matchups, and the justin fantasy points allowed to wide receivers, I'm still very in on CD Lamb. Add Chris Moore. So speaking of the Texans Chris Moore, he kind of went off on Sunday. The Texans didn't have Nico Collins or Brandon Cooks, and Moore ended up seeing almost forty six percent of the team's targets. He scored twenty two point four PPR points. He played as a starting wide receiver alongside Philip Doris said, but Moore was the more impressive player in Week fourteen. He was the guy they relying on. If Collins and Cooks continue to miss time, Moore can actually do some damage. Not only could he just see a high target shair, but Houston's schedule is awesome. They get the Chiefs, Titans, and Jags through the Fantasy playoffs, so don't sleep on Chris Moore. Add Richie James. Richie James has now seen a twenty percent plus target share in two of his last three games, and in Week four he ended up running the most routes for the Giants, and tight end Daniel Bellinger was banged up in that game. If he has to miss any time, he could see a boost and looks to the middle of the field because he plays a slot, so there's a volume play above all else, But I don't mind Richie James. If you really need a wide receiver, hold Aaron Rodgers. Now you might see Aaron Rodgers going up against the Rams this week, and you might say to yourself, there's no chance I'm using Aaron Rodgers against the Rams. Look at what Derek Carr did against the Rams, and that's totally totally understandable. I probably would not be using Aaron Rodgers this week either, But in Week sixteen and seventeen, different story. During those two weeks, the Packers get the Dolphins and the Vikings. Not only do both of those defenses rank as top ten matchups for quarterbacks and adjustin Fantasy points allowed, but because the Dolphins and Vikings offenses can move the ball, I'll feel more optimistic that the Packers have to air it out. There's a chance that we see a QB performance from Aaron Rodgers in the Fantasy playoffs. And that's saying something because he's finished as a top ten quarterback just once this year. Ad Ryan Tannehill. So, Ryan Tannehill was my featured streamer last week, but as I said in all my shows, I did not feel that confident. And if you watch the game, and if you watch the way that Tannehill compiled his stats, you can see why it wasn't pretty, but he got there. He had an eighteen point outing this week. Tannehill gets the Chargers now. LA looked good against Miami in Week fourteen, but across the larger sample, they've been a relatively average opponent for quarterbacks in fantasy football, and Tannehill hasn't been that bad of a fantasy quarterback of late. He scored over sixteen points per game over his last five. Four of those five matchups have come against bottom ten teams or, in other words, not advantageous matchups. He's not the most appetizing streamer in the world, but I think he can be a solid QB two Chiga Conkoo. So if you bought into chickakon Kuo last week, you're probably smiling today. He gave you a top five tight end performance. He has two top ten performances over his last two games, and even though he's still running behind Austin Hooper, technically, a conco is average a target share per game of about sixteen percent over Tennessee's last seven and get this, among thirty plus target tight ends this season, A Conko leads all of them in yards per route run. That's according to Pro Football Focus. He's looking like a pretty legit tight end. I mean, this is a rookie that we're talking about, so you'll want to have him on your fantasy roster. By Dalvin Cook. It's been a rough stretch for Dalvin Cook. He scored single digit PPR points in three of his last four games. That's coincided with a target share per game rate under eight percent. For some context, during his three games prior to this stretch, his target share per game was almost fifteen percent. Now, I would say this is the result of the TJ. Hawkinson trade, but Cook was seeing plenty of work through the air when Hawkinson was first traded. I'd also usually sit back and say maybe he's losing work to his backup, but he's not Alexander Madison's not seeing more work in an offense. Cook's snap shares have been totally normal during this stretch. Now, he's definitely been inefficient on the ground in two of his last four, but it's not enough for me to abandon ship, especially because Minnesota gets the Colts, Giants, and Packers in the fantasy playoffs. That's one of the best schedules that you can find for a fantasy running back at Jeff Driscoll. So this is probably gonna be the strangest transaction of the entire season. And you're probably very confused when you heard Jeff Driscoll's name. So let's dig in. On Sunday, the Texans used a platoon at quarterback. They had a quarterback by committee. According to Next Gen Stats, Davis Mills and Jeff Driscoll. They played the exact same number of snaps. But if you look at the box score, you'll see that Davis Mills threw the ball twenty one times and Jeff Driscoll threw it six times. But it's because Driscoll's the runner of the two. When he was on the field, Houston ran the ball a lot more. Driscoll himself had seven rush attempts. So why am I even bringing this up. We're talking about two quarterbacks playing for the Houston Texans who are splitting snaps. Well, remember when Taysom Hill first started playing quarterback and you could slide them into your tight end spot. That same exact thing is happening with Jeff Driscoll. If you play on Yahoo, which I know a lot of you guys do, and this is potentially other platforms too that I haven't discovered, but Driscoll is listed as a tight end. If Jeff Driscoll is a starting quarterback in the NFL and you can use him in your tight end spot, you're going to do that tight end is a dumpster fire. You would probably be starting him over everyone not named Travis Kelcey. There's a chance this does absolutely nothing, but if you play on Yahoo and maybe some of the other platforms, he's worth an ad ad. Jalen Warren. So earlier when talking about Chouba Hubbard, I mentioned handcuffing, and if you're not handcuffing this time of year, you gotta do it. We may see some breakout players down the stretch and in the Fantasy playoffs, but the highest upside players that have sitting on your bench right now are running back handcuffs. Jalen Warren is just one that I want to shout out this week because of what he did in Week fourteen. He played just nine fewer snaps than Naji Harris's past week. Benny Snell played only two snaps that resulted in an eighteen percent running back rush air and almost a ten percent target share for Jalen Warren. If Naji Harris goes down, I would expect Jalen Warren to be the guy. But make sure that you're looking for other handcuffs too, and also not just ones that are backing up running backs on your team. They could be handcuffs from any team at the Cleveland Browns defense. So at first, I was going to talk about the Vikings playing the Colts this week, and then I figured maybe I'll talk about the Saints going up against Desmond Ritter. But then I realized, we gotta go with Cleveland here because Tyler Huntley is in concussion protocol, Lamar Jackson's hurt. With those two quarterbacks looking iffy for Week fifteen, that would leave Baltimore with Anthony Brown at quarterback and the Browns their opponent. They're currently a three point home favorite in a game with a low thirty seven and a half point over under according to FANDLS Sportsbook. Now, the Ravens likely would not throw the ball a lot, no matter who's under center. That limits turnovers, it limits sacks, it limits fantasy points the opposing defense. But I think Cleveland is a very very safe option. Add the Tennessee Titans defense. So this time of year, I try to give you guys some look ahead defenses, some options that are on the waiver wire right now, who you might not be able to play this week, but you might be able to play next week. And that's what we have with the Tennessee Titans. You're probably not going to play them against the Chargers this week, but in Week sixteen they get the Texans. The Texans are the top opponent for defenses when looking at justin Fantasy points allowed. Add Damian Harris. So when the injury apocalypse happens during Monday Night football, you guys get a sixteenth transaction. Ramandre Stevenson hurt his ankle, he tried to play on it. He was eventually ruled out of that game against Arizona because Damien Harris was also out. That led to a heavy dose of the rookie duo Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong. Now I have no idea how long Ramandre Stevenson is going to be out. This is a very fresh injury, and I have no idea when Damien Harris is going to be back. He has a thigh injury. It sort of reminds me of where we were last week with Seattle. But clearly, if Stevenson isn't able to go in week fifteen but Damien Harris is, then Harris becomes a viable option in fantasy. But if both players are out, then you should be looking for the rookie running backs Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong, especially because New England has a beatable matchup against Agis. Now, as for who you should prioritize between those two backs, that's a tough one. My prospect model really like Kevin Harris because he was a solid all around back with really good college production, but it also didn't mind Pierre Strong. Pierre Strong's top comparable in that model was Elijah Mitchell. He's got really really good speed. Now, Harris ended up out snapping Strong in that game against the Cardinals. The thing is, though Strong was deployed as the receiving back, that's likely the role that he would play, and we know that in this offense that's very, very valuable. So if you're in a PPR format, I might lean Pierre Strong. Regardless, you gotta watch this situation. Someone from this backfield on the waiver Wire could be relevant this week and moving forward.
