In this edition sponsored by the TJ. Smith lovis you call TJ. He'll make them pay. We are here. 00:01:06 Speaker 2: This is a cool h office, like a modern office here in a State. Renovations. 00:01:11 Speaker 3: They do Ryan luxury estate renovations, high end custom remodeling and upgrade spa like bathrooms. 00:01:20 Speaker 2: And whole home renovations. If you want to make your house look amazing, these are the people. Yeah. 00:01:25 Speaker 4: Really, you know, since COVID, the trend has been instead of buying and selling your house, remodel your current house. And yeah, yeah, I think it all started with COVID really, where people just stuck at the house while you started remodeling their own house. And of course everywhere everybody wants a spa bathroom. Man, that's what you want. You want to fancies. 00:01:44 Speaker 2: I would love to have one. I mean first I have to get the house. 00:01:47 Speaker 3: But once I get the house, then the spa like bathroom is coming and is let in the closets for the shoes. 00:01:53 Speaker 2: It'll be perfect. 00:01:54 Speaker 5: Here's the cool thing about it too. 00:01:55 Speaker 6: They will actually send somebody out with you shopping to help you pick what you want. 00:02:00 Speaker 2: I have to go. 00:02:01 Speaker 6: You might want to have some input if it's your house. I would either, unless you don't care. 00:02:06 Speaker 2: I seriously, this is the true story. 00:02:09 Speaker 3: If I could find a house where it was already like, everything done, and they would just put my stuff in it and I could just walk in, that's what I would like. 00:02:19 Speaker 5: Well, they could do that, I'm sure that would. 00:02:21 Speaker 3: Be what I would like. I don't want to have any input. Anything I were to pick would be worse than what someone professional would pick. 00:02:27 Speaker 2: I'm one hundred percent convinced of that. 00:02:29 Speaker 4: But like you know, with all your shoes, if you wanted a certain way to you know, store your shoes, a state plan could. 00:02:35 Speaker 3: Make that before you could see how they're stored. Now, you would see anything would be better. 00:02:38 Speaker 5: It's like it's like the border around your room. 00:02:41 Speaker 2: That's exactly right. I've closed the border. 00:02:44 Speaker 3: I'm not allowing I'm not allowing any illegals to come in my shoe and my shoes close the border around my house. 00:02:53 Speaker 2: On the floor. 00:02:54 Speaker 3: If I'm nine two eight twenty two eighty seven, we're giving away a ton of stuff here today. Not This is not the easiest place to find. You have to come into Gray Line. 00:03:02 Speaker 2: You gotta walk up to the second floor, take an elevator, take a rite. You have to know a secret password. But once you get in. 00:03:08 Speaker 3: We're gonna be giving away a lot of stuff, gift cards, maybe. 00:03:11 Speaker 2: Even a special prize at the end. 00:03:13 Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know for sure because I haven't gotten it confirmed yet, but that that is all here today. 00:03:18 Speaker 2: It is state renovations, and this is this is a part of town. 00:03:21 Speaker 3: I don't get in a lot, but I went to school right over there, close at Transylvania. 00:03:25 Speaker 4: Yeah, Gray Lines kind of become this kind of a hipster area. You know, they got North Line Donuts downstairs and uh hipster. Yeah, they got a brewerier down that coming down there, So this is kind of hipstery. And and this estate Planet has the entire second floor all second you go up here. 00:03:40 Speaker 2: So it's a hipster area. Did you know that? 00:03:42 Speaker 5: No, are you staying North Line as hipster donuts or such a thing. 00:03:46 Speaker 4: Yeah, super hipster. 00:03:47 Speaker 3: When I when I was at Trancy, you didn't come over here. And this entire neighborhood has been completely redone. I mean like when I was at Trancy, this was the part of Lexington Shed and you kind of stay away from it. Now like this is this is the place to be. 00:04:02 Speaker 6: I would want to come hang out here, you know, get my house redone remodeled. 00:04:06 Speaker 4: This used to be the old bus station, yeah, and then vacant for years and years. 00:04:10 Speaker 3: Generally speaking, I don't care where you are in America, you don't want to hang out at the bus station. 00:04:15 Speaker 2: That's really I've had it. 00:04:19 Speaker 3: It's interesting when you're in when you're in Europe, the train station tends to. 00:04:23 Speaker 2: Be like where a lot of stuff is. 00:04:25 Speaker 3: Yeah, in America, you tend to not want to be where the bus station is. 00:04:29 Speaker 2: So this is this is a much bigger upgrade than where it would be in the bus stay. 00:04:33 Speaker 6: At least here there's a brewery up the road, so you can go, you know, have yourself a brusky while you're in the area. 00:04:37 Speaker 2: Big weekend for Kentucky. 00:04:39 Speaker 3: This is one of what two or three weekends during the year where Kentucky will play basketball on Friday night, they will play football on Saturday. Tonight Kentucky and Jackson State. Tomorrow Kentucky and Texas. I'm not sure the discrepancy of opponents could be greater in the two games. We're playing one of the worst basketball teams UH in Division one tonight and then we're playing one of the best football teams in Division one tomorrow. So two major differences. Now, Shandon, you remember Ryan had homework. 00:05:13 Speaker 2: I love this. 00:05:14 Speaker 3: He was supposed to do uh some some previews. He was supposed to learn the the line up the roster of Jackson State. 00:05:23 Speaker 2: Did you do that? I? I did. 00:05:25 Speaker 4: As awful as it was to watch that Jackson State team play basketball, I suffered through it to get you your scouting report because they are. 00:05:32 Speaker 5: Which game did you watch? Was it the Western Guitar? 00:05:34 Speaker 4: I watched the Western Kentucky game and it was horrible? 00:05:37 Speaker 3: All right, So I'm going to throughout the show just throw you out a number of a player, and you have to be ready to give me some sort of some sort of scouting. 00:05:48 Speaker 2: My number name. I can do either one, because you prefer. I think I know him both. 00:05:53 Speaker 3: Wow, hold on, hold on, sorry, hold on, I don't believe that. I don't believe that. I not believe you know him both. So I'm gonna all right, we'll test you. I'm gonna do like one. I'm gonna bring Billy on in a little bit too, to do a few to see who does the better scouting report. But let's just throw one out there. Tell me about number seven. He's from Silicaga, Alabama. Give me the scouting report on number seven. I'll even help you since it your first one. 00:06:17 Speaker 2: I know. Well, what's his name? Grant? 00:06:20 Speaker 3: Grant Ran Okay, wow, all right, so tell me about number seven, Shannon Grant. 00:06:27 Speaker 4: I'm so happy you picked him first. He's my favorite player on the team. He's he is a big butt post player. 00:06:33 Speaker 2: Okay, correct? 00:06:36 Speaker 4: Next nine two ninety you talk about Baby Shack or Robert tractor Trailer. He's that guy. 00:06:41 Speaker 3: So can you get those are two very different players. Shaiting Baby Shaq was really good. Tractor Trailer was just really fat. 00:06:47 Speaker 4: But go ahead, big dude, you're getting get him all down in the post. He can score on you. So it's gonna be a good matchup for Mario Williams. But if he stepped out of the paint like a Mario Williams, let him shoot it. 00:06:56 Speaker 2: No shot, But he's he's uh so does he go left or right? Both? Yeah? 00:07:02 Speaker 5: Both depends on what kind of mood he is in. 00:07:03 Speaker 2: Right. 00:07:03 Speaker 4: Yeah, but he doesn't play a lot because it's he gets tired. Un up and down the floor. There are a couped Tunky's Western Kentucky. He was just standing underneath the paint, does not even put his hands up, just standing like dude, he got to get out of there. 00:07:13 Speaker 2: So so so he's your favorite player, he's my favorite player. 00:07:16 Speaker 4: I'm look glad you picked him first, big butt post player. You guys will see him to night number seven. 00:07:20 Speaker 6: You know what, I'm impressed so far. I mean one for one, Yeah, yeah, it checks out. You said big butt, you said two ninety that checks out. 00:07:27 Speaker 3: When I looked at the roster, I saw one of these dudes two hundred and ninety pounds. 00:07:31 Speaker 2: I think he'll remember that guy. Yeah. 00:07:33 Speaker 3: I wanted to give him my start to get started. 00:07:38 Speaker 2: Uh. 00:07:38 Speaker 3: So there you go, one for one, well done. What do you want to see from Kentucky tonight? 00:07:42 Speaker 2: Right? 00:07:42 Speaker 3: Since you know we played so well against Duke, really well against slips him, this will be the worst team we play all year. This is the This is the worst of the of the teams on the roster. So this is the game where in theory Noah Parry all those guys like this is their game. 00:07:58 Speaker 2: What do you want to see today? 00:07:59 Speaker 4: Should score all for one hundred and should hold them like in the sixties. I mean it should be like a forty point butt kicking tonight. You're right, this would be the worst team they play all year. 00:08:07 Speaker 6: How about just a barrage of three point shoot of shots, you know, and hopefully a lot of them going down, and maybe Kobe Brea could continue to shoot what he's shooting. 00:08:15 Speaker 5: What eighty two percent from the three point line? 00:08:17 Speaker 2: That's crazy? 00:08:18 Speaker 5: So I think just a lot of threes. 00:08:19 Speaker 3: Normally I look at a game like this and there's usually a player that I say, Okay, well this guy hasn't been playing well. I want to see him have a good game tonight. That's usually how I look at this. But right now, what's crazy is right if all the dudes that play quite a bit, they're all playing pretty well. 00:08:37 Speaker 2: So I don't really uh, I don't really have one. You're right. 00:08:40 Speaker 4: The last game you asked me that question, I thought I'd like to see Lamar Butler maybe hit down a couple of Lamon Lamont Butler knocked down a couple. He knows the Jackson's roster. Yeah, you want him to knock down a couple of shots, and he did that, you know. So is there any one guy, maybe your boy Ansley almanor maybe get off a little. 00:08:59 Speaker 3: Bit better the guys at play. I'm not sure any of them are playing poorly. I mean, they all have had good moments. They've all shot the ball pretty well. You know, Shannon, I guess you could be picky and say, well, I'd like to see Colin Chandler play a little bit more or better, or maybe you say something about the kids from Kentucky. But I am almost too positive about this basketball team. 00:09:24 Speaker 2: I'm almost like, when's the rug gonna get pulled out from under me? 00:09:27 Speaker 3: Because we're playing nine guys, all of whom are playing well. 00:09:31 Speaker 6: If you're being negative now, you're just nitpicking. I'm really looking for something to be negative about. I don't really see anything yet. Maybe we can have something after the Gonzaga Clemson game, but for right now, everybody's playing well. I think this is a game where the Kentucky guys do get a lot of minutes tonight, and. 00:09:46 Speaker 3: This is a game I think where people can have a lot of fun. I mean, I think the decision you may in the last few years, Kentucky has moved to play in these games on Friday night instead of Sunday. I think that's a good decision. I think it's easier for the crowd. I think you're gonna get a great crowd tonight, just my initial inclination. You know, we usually can tell at the bar. I think this is gonna be a really good crowd, and I think it's also gonna be a lot of fun and energy from a fan base that still kind of wants to celebrate the Duke winn now a week and a half ago. 00:10:15 Speaker 4: We want these feel good wins. We're kind of overdue for these feel good wins. And I think that's what we're gonna get tonight. And I agree with you. I think I'll have a huge crowd there tonight, a ruck. 00:10:22 Speaker 2: Let's switch to the football. 00:10:24 Speaker 3: Okay, less excited about this football game tomorrow Kentucky is what's the spread now? 00:10:30 Speaker 2: Twenty twenty? I do. I am amazed some of. 00:10:35 Speaker 3: What I'm hearing about how many Kentucky fans are down in Austin. I actually think we're gonna have an insanely big crowd down there. I hope we're able to put on a show for him, because I mean I had people telling me they were on a flight from Raleigh Durham and there were twenty five people with UK gear on their flight. 00:10:51 Speaker 2: From Raleigh to Austin. 00:10:52 Speaker 3: So, I mean, I think you're gonna see like a lot of Kentucky fans there, are they gonna see a game Ryan that's competing. 00:11:00 Speaker 2: I hope they do, but it's not. We're not hope. We all hope. We all hope. The question is. 00:11:07 Speaker 4: Will they I'm I'm really worried about this game because it means a lot, you know, to Texas, it's a big deal for them. 00:11:13 Speaker 7: Uh. 00:11:14 Speaker 4: You know the fact that we can't score over twenty points in an SEC game scares me because I don't know we can hold them to under twenty points a game, so we can't. 00:11:21 Speaker 3: No, we're not gonna hold them to under twenty. We're gonna have to score well, I mean for us to win. I guess you would hope it would be like the old Miss game where it's like you do kind of limit them, maybe you win twenty four twenty or twenty four to twenty one or something like that. I think we're probably gonna have to have We're certainly gonna have to have Shandon our best offensive game of the year. 00:11:44 Speaker 2: Yes, to have a chance to be compared, I. 00:11:46 Speaker 5: Think you're gonna have to have some turnovers. 00:11:48 Speaker 6: I think you're gonna have to have maybe a defensive score or something like a pick six maybe, you know, if there's anything that gives you hope. Arkansas did hold Texas to twenty points last week. If it's that type of game, if Kentucky's defense can hold up, I could see US Innario where Kentucky can win, you know, twenty one, twenty twenty four to twenty something like you're talking about. 00:12:07 Speaker 3: I think the biggest, bigger thing is for me, this is going to be a judge in some ways about next week because we can beat Louisville. I mean, even with all that's happened, we can still beat Louisville right now. Louisll's a three point favorite in this game. They have struggled this year. I don't think there's any doubt we have more talent than Louisville. But my question is have we mailed it in or not. It's hard to know right Like it's complete, like we played well against Tennessee, but then there's two weeks off and some of the guys didn't even play against Murray and it was hard to really read anything to the Murray game. They're terrible for me, this game could go one of two ways. I could see it to where it's the fourth quarter and we're in it like Old Miss, like Georgia, like Tennessee. I could also see us losing by forty and it kind of being like a final referendum on stupid tomorrow. 00:13:01 Speaker 2: I just don't know which one of those will happen. 00:13:03 Speaker 4: See, I think you're right. I mean, the three best games Kentucky's played in the SEC all year have been against the three toughest teams. Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee played well really in all three of those games. You got to hope that maybe there's some of that that can carry that carry down to Austin in tomorrow. 00:13:19 Speaker 6: There's a lot riding on these last two games of the season. If you can keep it competitive tomorrow and then beat Louisville, I think that I'm still optimistic with stoops moving forward. If you get blown out tomorrow and you'll lose to Louisville, that's a complete one to eighty. 00:13:32 Speaker 3: You know, there's a saying that says time heals all wounds, right, So what often happens in especially what I've learned from coaches that are at all in a controversial position where fans can go either way. In the moment after a loss, people lose their minds, right, but then over time, it you know, kind of evens out for me. For Stoops, the fan base is evened down a little bit. I think a lot of this fan base is like, Okay, he's probably coming back. I'm okay with that, blah blah blah. But if you take a forty point loss against Texas and then you lose to Louisville, that's an entirely different situation. So I actually think tomorrow's game is extremely important for Marxtoops. If I'm nine two, eight oh twenty two eighty seven, we are here at the State renovations right off. 00:14:23 Speaker 2: Of Loudon in Lexington's second floor. Come see us. There's a dog. 00:14:27 Speaker 3: Just keep that over there, just for I mean, I don't dislike it, seems like a nice fellow, but just a little distance is good. We'll take a break and be right back this Kentucky sports radio work. 00:14:39 Speaker 2: I'm back. It is Kentucky sports radio. 00:14:43 Speaker 3: If I'm nine two, eight oh twenty two eighty seven, here at the at our favorite estate renovations up here in uh in gray line station. My folks here that work in the state renovations, you got to bring it down a little bit. If you're standing in the back, say ef, I'm nine two a O twenty to eighty seven seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. How about this over under passing yards Brock vandergriff one thirty five. 00:15:12 Speaker 2: That's a low, low number. Yeah, that's a low number they got here. What are you putting. 00:15:18 Speaker 5: Over if they're gonna be better? 00:15:19 Speaker 6: If I mean, unless they just get completely blown out, you've got to have that much from Brock? 00:15:24 Speaker 4: What do you think I think I would go over on that? Just okay, you hit on a couple of the ball number already pushing one thirty five. 00:15:30 Speaker 6: But I do think though you give will Cox a lot of touches and let him just run him over if he can. 00:15:36 Speaker 3: But here's what's crazy, all right, how about this DSK rushing yards. 00:15:41 Speaker 2: Guess what the number is? 00:15:43 Speaker 3: First of all, what do you think the number should be for DSK rushing yards over. 00:15:46 Speaker 4: Under Well, like Shannon said, I think they're gonna give the bottle Willcox. 00:15:49 Speaker 2: That's right. So what it should be? 00:15:51 Speaker 5: Seventy five? 00:15:52 Speaker 4: I'd say thirty five? 00:15:53 Speaker 2: Yeah, then you're you're smarter. It's thirty seven. 00:15:57 Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if he'll get a whole lot of touches because they they really want to jump start Willcox for next season. 00:16:03 Speaker 2: Is that like insight? There maybe some scoop? All right, Well, there you go. Wow, I like it. 00:16:10 Speaker 3: One person writes, Matt, what do you think is more likely the amount of points we beat Jackson or higher, excuse me, the amount of points we beat Jackson State or the amount of points Texas beats us? 00:16:20 Speaker 5: Oh Ill, I'm gonna go. 00:16:25 Speaker 2: I'm gonna say we beat Jackson State, ycaues. 00:16:27 Speaker 3: I think it would be very unlikely we don't beat them by more than say, thirty, and I think it's going to be very difficult. I mean, we could lose by more than thirty in football, but that would take more of a bad performance. 00:16:39 Speaker 2: I'm gonna say. 00:16:40 Speaker 6: I'm gonna say I would say we went in basketball by at least forty points. And I don't think we get called out by forty tomorrow against Texas. 00:16:46 Speaker 2: I hope not. 00:16:47 Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm home with you, guys, man. I think our defense can still step up and kind of contain them. 00:16:51 Speaker 2: A little bit. 00:16:51 Speaker 4: Where we keep it under forty for crying out loud. 00:16:53 Speaker 3: By the way, the Kentucky Jackson state line thirty five point five. 00:16:59 Speaker 2: I'm betting the over. 00:17:00 Speaker 5: Yeah, we just both said forty, so I guess we're. 00:17:01 Speaker 3: Turning one point five back GOWO eighty seven. 00:17:05 Speaker 2: By the way, tell me about number twelve on jacks in state. 00:17:08 Speaker 4: He's a he's a bench player. His last name is Williams. 00:17:12 Speaker 5: Is he right? 00:17:13 Speaker 2: Yeah? He does. 00:17:15 Speaker 4: He doesn't play a lot. He comes in and kind of just gives you spot minutes, doesn't do anything offensively, doesn't help you whatsoever. He he's basically an All American clapper that comes off the bench. 00:17:27 Speaker 5: That's three things, So I gotta give it to you. 00:17:29 Speaker 3: Listen, he's two for two. I don't know, Shannon, does this guy maybe? Did he do his homework? 00:17:35 Speaker 6: Can we put you on the bench tonight just in case he needs like an extra assistant coach? 00:17:39 Speaker 4: Yell at me and I'll. 00:17:40 Speaker 3: Tell you I'm surprised the fact that you knew their name is kind of saying number all right, Well, we still got more people on the roster, and I'm gonna make you try to beat out Billy, who also did research in a minute. Who's up first? 00:17:51 Speaker 2: Asher is up first? Asher? Go ahead? Asher? Asher? 00:17:56 Speaker 8: Hey, first time calling Matt? 00:17:58 Speaker 2: Who what what's up? 00:18:02 Speaker 8: A couple questions. Have you guys figured out where you're doing the remote show in Seattle? 00:18:07 Speaker 2: We have not yet. 00:18:08 Speaker 3: I have no places scheduled. I'm gonna work on that next week. But like I said, Iowa City, Platte, South Dakota, Laramie, Wyoming, Boise, Salt Lake, and Seattle will be the places we do shows. 00:18:26 Speaker 8: Gotcha? Gotcha? And have you heard of the app called air Message? 00:18:33 Speaker 2: I have not. No. 00:18:37 Speaker 9: Well, you know how you. 00:18:37 Speaker 8: Guys are always talking about how Ryan screws up your text with with his Android phone. It's that allows him with an Android to text you guys through I Message as compatible with the group chats. 00:18:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, he won't be able to do any of that. I can tell you. 00:18:54 Speaker 3: Sounds really you You mentioned four different things right there, iPhone, Android, air Message app, none of that. 00:19:02 Speaker 2: Ryan will be able to do none of that. 00:19:06 Speaker 8: Well, he's he's doing well with his with his player quizes. 00:19:10 Speaker 7: So I don't know. 00:19:11 Speaker 3: I understand, and he spent a month's worth of work to get that done. I appreciate the call. And there's no chance that's gonna work. Ryan has ruined more group chats than anyone. 00:19:21 Speaker 6: On a lot of times, I'll get like just half of the conversation. I'll get it like halfway in. I'm like, I don't even know what you guys are talking about. You guys are going back and forth, and I don't get them because of Ryan. I'm blaming your mentioning the trip, you guys. I mean, you realize we are nine days away from getting in a car and driving all the way to Seattle. I just asked Mario if he was ready for it, and he said, do I need boots? 00:19:42 Speaker 2: And I said, I don't know. 00:19:43 Speaker 6: I would say yes because there's going to be snow somewhere and. 00:19:46 Speaker 3: Story about I'm not taking any boots will be good. Mario me and you walk around with chose if you want. But I mean, we got this is gonna be a long trip. I I look, they gave me an offer for us to fly first back, fly first class back. 00:20:03 Speaker 2: I turned it down just so you know we don't. I mean, don't. 00:20:06 Speaker 3: Oh, you got the twenty five hundred extra dollars it was gonna cost for the five of them to throw. 00:20:11 Speaker 6: Up to fly back I think these people would pony up for us. 00:20:15 Speaker 4: I don't want I don't want to spoil anything for Mario, but he's got special plans for Shannon to keep him engaged with all of us on the trip. 00:20:21 Speaker 6: No, I've already told you if I sleep, let me sleep. Don't be waking me up. You think I'm grumpy, wait till you mess with me on the road trip. 00:20:28 Speaker 2: Hey. By the way, I swaar. 00:20:31 Speaker 3: Give a heads up to the people in Lexington if your Fox station is the Lexington Fox station, So if you're listening and you're in the Lexington viewing area, I hate I'm gonna give you some bad news. The Big Game tomorrow, Indiana Ohio State will not be on in Lexington. They are pre empting it for a high school basketball tournament. Now it is the high school basketball tournament that includes Malchi Moreno and the Great Crossing Team. But Indiana Ohio State will not be on Fox tomorrow. Now, you can watch it on the Fox Sports app, but like, I don't know how that works, but you can. But Indian Ohio State is not on television. I don't think the average person knows that that's the biggest game of the day tomorrow, and I am expecting utther. If I worked at Fox fifty six, I would tell them close the phone lines from noon to three point thirty because I'm sure there's a lot of Indiana fans in this area and the game is not on. 00:21:31 Speaker 2: They are putting a high school basketball tournament on instead. 00:21:34 Speaker 4: I didn't know that, but I've been at a TV station when things like that happen, and the phone rings NonStop for the entire length of the game. So I feel sorry for those folks at Fox fifty six tomorrow. 00:21:44 Speaker 3: I'm sure from what I understand, they thought it was gonna be Northwestern versus Michigan Shannon, and they thought, well, we could preempt that for this, but now you're gonna get Indiana Ohio State, both teams in the top ten. 00:22:00 Speaker 2: Both. 00:22:00 Speaker 3: I mean, it is the game of the day at noon tomorrow and it will not be on. And we're only what two and a half hours, three hours from Bloomington, and it's not gonna be in what three hours from Columbus, Yeah, and not gonna be on. 00:22:11 Speaker 5: So it's just here in Lexington. 00:22:13 Speaker 10: I guess if you want to watch it, the Lexington view, but it's in the Lexton viewing area, So you get Fox fifty six, even if you're in Winchester Georgetown, if that's your Fox station, you will not have that game tomorrow. 00:22:24 Speaker 3: So it's just a heads up. We think we'll have it at the bar. So if you don't get it here and you want to watch it, we think we'll have it. I say think because we got to deal with the same stuff everybody else does and try to find it. 00:22:36 Speaker 4: Is it a night game tomorrow night? It's dude, Oh, it's at noon. 00:22:39 Speaker 3: It's at noon. It's the it's the big noon kickoff or whatever it is. So just just a heads up forverybody. We're gonna take a break. We are here at State Renovations in Gray Line station. This is Kentucky Sports Radio Quarterback Turkey Sports Radio. Everyone is now writing me and tell me on their cable system or whatever where they can watch it. 00:23:04 Speaker 2: Is true. 00:23:04 Speaker 3: If you have YouTube TV, there's a Fox four K stream that it. 00:23:08 Speaker 2: Will be on. So if you have YouTube TV, you could watch it on Fox four K. I am. I was told we will have it at the bar, so it will be as far. 00:23:16 Speaker 3: So if you want to come watch it, by the way, today and tomorrow at the bar. You get the one hundred percent profit boosts both days on DraftKings because anytime UK plays you can get it. That will be today and tomorrow, so I make sure you can do it. 00:23:29 Speaker 5: You can't find that boost anywhere else. 00:23:31 Speaker 2: I mean, that's gone. 00:23:31 Speaker 5: That's the best. 00:23:33 Speaker 3: By the way, did you see the story Did we talk about the story about how DraftKings and Fandel lost all that money? Did we talk about that on here? It's really a fascinating well. One person says yes, one person says no, So I don't know. 00:23:44 Speaker 5: One person wasn't listening. 00:23:46 Speaker 2: Did we say it? 00:23:46 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:23:47 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:23:48 Speaker 3: Basically, the favorite's all one in week five and in the NFL at all fourteen favorites one and it's the first time that's ever happened. 00:23:55 Speaker 2: And it cost these betting companies like forty. 00:23:58 Speaker 3: Fifty million dollars because all the NFL favorites one in the same week. 00:24:02 Speaker 4: And I say to them, wha, you make money every other week. 00:24:05 Speaker 2: I mean, they are our biggest advertisers, so maybe you should. 00:24:09 Speaker 3: I mean literally, they pay probably as much as the other ones, right, I would rather you not. 00:24:17 Speaker 2: Taunt them with wang. Maybe maybe just take it down and not. I got you just a little. 00:24:27 Speaker 3: Bit, all right, Yeah, twenty eighty seven. 00:24:33 Speaker 2: Billy's on here as well. Hey, Billy, you did your research. I did. 00:24:37 Speaker 11: This is not a good Jackson State team, You're right. I mean they didn't score a point for the first seven minutes of the game. 00:24:42 Speaker 3: Versus Western, they didn't score for the first seven minutes. Alright, So let's just uh, let's let Ryan go. I'm gonna give you a player, all right. Tell me about number twenty. 00:24:52 Speaker 4: Number twenty is Jose Renya close one one Renya. He's a left handed point guard that comes off the b but he plays a lot of minutes. He played as many minutes as the starting point guard. Good shooter, left handed. 00:25:05 Speaker 2: Uh, he's still left handed. Yeah. Uh. 00:25:07 Speaker 4: He doesn't really attack the basket much. I think the other guy is a better point guard, but he's but this guy's a better shooter. So when he comes in, he's coming in. We gotta we have pay attention to him, becau he can shoot it. 00:25:15 Speaker 2: Can he have anything to that? Bill? I believe he's a senior. He is a senior, yes, and. 00:25:19 Speaker 4: So he's doing his thing. 00:25:20 Speaker 2: So he's pretty good. Maybe doing his thing. Yeah, that's a right. 00:25:28 Speaker 5: Is he maybe the leader? 00:25:30 Speaker 11: Uh No, I wouldn't tuck him the leader, but you know, all right. 00:25:32 Speaker 3: Well, maybe then you can tell me about my guy. Uh, number ten. 00:25:38 Speaker 11: Number ten not a starter, Matt, So I don't know much about number ten. 00:25:42 Speaker 2: Do you know anything about number ten? 00:25:43 Speaker 4: He's not on the Skotty report. DNP did not play. 00:25:47 Speaker 3: His name is Ebo. That's why I said, walk right. Uh, Billy, I'll give you another chance. Tell me about number three, number three. He's the leading scorer on the team. 00:25:56 Speaker 11: He actually had five threes versus Xavier, so he's got some length or twenty six points in that game. 00:26:01 Speaker 2: Uh. 00:26:02 Speaker 11: You know, he's pretty good right handed. He's gonna be the focal point of this team. So when you look at number three, look at a player that is the number three's you gotta watch guy to watch. 00:26:10 Speaker 2: What's his name? Mitchell? Mitchell Mitchell. 00:26:13 Speaker 5: I'm more impressed that Ryan knows names and numbers. 00:26:17 Speaker 4: And uh and Billy's right, he's leading scorer. He played awful against Western Kentucky. He I kept thinking, why are they letting this guy play? And now look up, he's leading score because he played really better. He just said he's had twenty six points against Xavior. He did he had that against Sad. Yeah, he didn't play well. He's a hometown kid. He's from Jackson, Mississippi. Almost the entire he is. 00:26:38 Speaker 2: From Jackson, Mississippi. He what what has gotten into you? 00:26:46 Speaker 4: You told me to do a thorough scouting report. I'm trying to find out everything about it. 00:26:50 Speaker 3: He knows, I'm gonna be amazed. He transferred in from a school. Do you know what school he transferred. 00:26:57 Speaker 4: In from Indian Hills. Indian Hills is not a school one of them transferred from Indian in something, but I. 00:27:03 Speaker 2: Will say his high school's name is Indian Hill. Oh, that's what it was. That's what it was. 00:27:07 Speaker 5: Wow, my mind is officially loan. 00:27:14 Speaker 2: His high school. 00:27:15 Speaker 5: I looked him up because it was height and weight. I mean, my goodness, what's left to him? I couldn't figure out why he was playing. 00:27:20 Speaker 4: I thought he must have risky pictures of coach Mo Williams because he loved playing him. 00:27:24 Speaker 5: He wasn't doing anything. 00:27:25 Speaker 4: Mo Williams is that the former Alabama? Yeah, NBA guy, he's the he's their coach. At least said what is his third year there? 00:27:31 Speaker 5: Third year there? 00:27:32 Speaker 11: One of four people to win an NBA title, that's a coach of a college team. 00:27:36 Speaker 2: Now, well, who are the other three? No idea? Okay, well that's close enough. Is it possible that. 00:27:40 Speaker 6: Ryan knows more about Jackson State than Kentucky's own play. 00:27:43 Speaker 3: I will say this, he knows more about Jackson State than he does the US government. 00:27:47 Speaker 4: There's I think I'm gonna do the pregame show and place a coach pope tonight with Tom Leek. I'm gonna break down all the players you've. 00:27:54 Speaker 2: Done actually not done a terrible job. 00:27:56 Speaker 3: I'm gonna we're gonna keep going, though, because at that point he may up missing. 00:28:00 Speaker 2: Who's up next? Up next? David? Go ahead, David? Hey, Matt, Hey, David, how are you? I'm good. 00:28:12 Speaker 7: I'm I'm still excited from the basketball team and and and I'm also excited for Thanksgiving. You know, UK has played well three times on Thanksgiving. I remember one time they played. 00:28:30 Speaker 3: Yeah, they play in the holiday tournaments occasionally on Thanksgiving. Yeah, this year we play the day after Thanksgiving. 00:28:38 Speaker 12: Yeah, I would like to see us do that. 00:28:39 Speaker 7: Play on Thanksgiving Day. 00:28:42 Speaker 8: I hope I can play enjoyables. 00:28:46 Speaker 2: Yeah, the Dallas Cowboys. I understand. 00:28:50 Speaker 3: I would like to see us getting back Ryan too, to play it in these holiday tournaments. 00:28:54 Speaker 2: I mean Cal was like fundamentally against him. I haven't heard. I think Pope said he wanted to go back to that, so I hope that ends up happening. 00:29:02 Speaker 4: Yeah, Pope has kind of already gone on the record he wants to get back to that, whether it's the Maui Invitational or Bahamas Tournament or something this Thanksgiving holiday tournaments. I think he wants to get back to doing. 00:29:11 Speaker 5: That, and it's a reward for our fans. 00:29:13 Speaker 4: With the fan base, let's go into those games. 00:29:14 Speaker 3: I loved going when I went the one year. The BBN Invitational is a wonderful event. Shitty, yeah, but I think I would be okay if we skipped it and maybe went to Maui or something like that. 00:29:24 Speaker 6: I didn't even know what was going on outside of US playing these teams, Like when Western was playing Jackson State, did you even. 00:29:30 Speaker 3: Know what it's a fraud of a tournament, to be honest to fraud, Well, no, I mean it is. The US and Duke are like the only great teams that do this. All the other really good teams go play in these holiday tournaments, and there are more and more of them. 00:29:44 Speaker 2: There's a couple of. 00:29:45 Speaker 3: Them going on right now. Last night there was one like us doing this. This is a money grab. It's the two things. One it's that cow didn't want to play in them, and two it's a money grab because you get three home games. But still for your fans, nobody wants to see us play Jackson State tonight instead of going and playing in Maui or the Bahamas or whatever. 00:30:06 Speaker 2: And we're Kentucky. We could pick what turnent. We could create a tournament in the Bahamas if people would come play. 00:30:13 Speaker 7: What they do create, Go ahead, David, we can recreate the uk I t I remember reading about that, but. 00:30:21 Speaker 3: That one stinks too. I mean we played, we ain't play abny good in that either. I mean, I want to play good teams in these tournaments. That's what people want to see. 00:30:31 Speaker 7: That's true. Thanksgiving. 00:30:35 Speaker 3: Happy Thanksgiving to you too as well. David's like the only person, Billy that I will let interrupt me on the phone. The rest of the people can, but he can't. 00:30:43 Speaker 11: Well, so there's no good teams. You play Western on Tuesday. I mean, come on, in State opponent, I. 00:30:48 Speaker 2: Said, I don't mind us playing Western. 00:30:50 Speaker 3: I mean, if you're going to play a team like that Ryan, Western's fine for me. 00:30:54 Speaker 2: For that. 00:30:55 Speaker 5: I love it. 00:30:55 Speaker 4: I love the fact that Western's on the schedule. Western's pretty good too. It'll be a much better game than it will be tonight, and I'm looking forward to it. 00:31:01 Speaker 2: I'm glad Western do that. I'm glad Western is finally recognized. 00:31:04 Speaker 3: We ain't going down there like they're there the Murray and Murray State's got to do the same thing. Murray's got to stop with this idea that we're gonna play them home and home. Just get your butts in a car and drive to Lexington if you want. 00:31:16 Speaker 2: To play in Kentucky. 00:31:18 Speaker 5: We're not coming there, Billy, We're not. 00:31:19 Speaker 2: We're not going to Murray State. That's not gonna happen. Who's up next? Michael is up next? Michael? Go ahead, Michael, Yes, sir? 00:31:28 Speaker 9: Uh long time, first time. 00:31:31 Speaker 2: What's up. 00:31:34 Speaker 9: I'm on your remark about the game tonight. I feel that it's good for fans like me because tonight I'm going it's the first game. Okay, and uh it's an early anniversary present from my wife. 00:31:52 Speaker 2: So you so wait a minute. So you've never been to a Kentucky game before? No, sir, And and so you and your wife for coming? Are you going to dinner before or after? 00:32:07 Speaker 9: Probably after? 00:32:08 Speaker 2: Okay, Well i'll tell you what. 00:32:10 Speaker 3: If you get a chance, pop by the bar say hello to the guys tonight. I'm sure they'd like to say hi. This is your first game of all time. I hope you have a blast, sir. And that's your anniversary. What anniversary is it? 00:32:24 Speaker 9: Thirty three years? 00:32:25 Speaker 2: Oh? Wow? 00:32:27 Speaker 9: You? 00:32:30 Speaker 2: I mean, how can I ask you a question? How did she put up with you for that long? 00:32:36 Speaker 9: She's a remarkable person. 00:32:38 Speaker 4: Oh listen, how sweet boy? He must be in trouble. He is really sucking up. 00:32:44 Speaker 2: The sweetest thing I've ever heard. Right, Where are you from, sir? 00:32:49 Speaker 9: Madisonville? 00:32:50 Speaker 3: Madisonville? Well, Drew, Unfortunately Drew's gone. I'm sure he'd like to say hello. 00:32:54 Speaker 2: I hope you have a great night. Billy's hosting the postgame show. 00:32:58 Speaker 3: If you enjoyed the game, why don't you give him a call on your way home and tell him how it went? 00:33:03 Speaker 9: Okay, yees, sir, I just want to anything with the Kentucky game. It's gonna be a great night. 00:33:10 Speaker 2: Listen. Amen, dude, Yep, there you go. I appreciate the call. How about that pretty cool? That is awesome. 00:33:16 Speaker 3: Hey, stop overpaying for sunglasses. If you're tired of buying expensive sunglasses. How about Shady Rays, an independent American owned company started right here in Kentucky. 00:33:25 Speaker 2: Do you like to run, Shannon, uh? If I'm going to fish, I'm gonna have Shady Raising. 00:33:35 Speaker 2: Do you like the bike? I show a house, the first two places they go to, where do you think they are? What if they go straight to bathroom and kitchen? Yes, bathroom and kitchens every time. 00:34:43 Speaker 3: I could be a realtor. All right, it's time for our draft kings. Parlay draft Kings. 00:34:47 Speaker 2: By the way, No, we don't want to say they're people we love the show. 00:34:53 Speaker 3: Don't listen to this, dude. We're gonna pick our ksr partly didn't win last week. 00:34:58 Speaker 2: Did get three or. 00:34:59 Speaker 3: Four though two or four actually not three. We got half of them. This one for me, I'm gonna go first. You're gonna pick. If we get to mine, we're in good shape because mine's late at night, ten thirty at night. USC is a five point favorite at home against UCLA, the Trojans playing against their cross town rivals. I take USC to win. That's my money line pick. That'll be part one of the KSR party. What's part two? 00:35:23 Speaker 2: You're not gonna like this, I'm not. You were the one first one to lose last week. So go ahead. 00:35:27 Speaker 4: These two coaches, we don't like either one of them, but I'm taking Dabo Sweeney and Clemson to beat South Carolina at Clemson. 00:35:34 Speaker 2: I don't like that. I know it's three and a half. 00:35:37 Speaker 4: Yeah, three and a half. 00:35:38 Speaker 2: Three and a half's Clemson's a favorite. Uh huh, I don't like that. I kind of feel like South Carolina's gonna win. They're playing this week. Are you sure it's next week? Come on? 00:35:52 Speaker 5: That might be tough to care, right, So why don't we let them pick? Honestly, why do we do this? 00:35:57 Speaker 2: You realize it's on the list. It didn't which day list for next week? 00:36:01 Speaker 5: He's scrolled so far down he's in the next week next week. 00:36:04 Speaker 4: All right, Well, go ahead, come back to me. 00:36:06 Speaker 3: By the way, we've won three this year. KASR probab, which would still mean you'd win money if you bet with this all year, but we would have won two more if it weren't for him. 00:36:16 Speaker 5: Just for the record, all right, So this is easy. 00:36:19 Speaker 6: This is a lock right here. Texas A and M going on the road to Auburn. Texas A and M is a two and a half point favorite. They're gonna run all over. 00:36:26 Speaker 3: Let me just say I agree with you that if I had to bet, I would bet Texas A and M. But I could see Auburn winning that game. I could I could ease. Auburn's been playing a lot better and Texas A and M's will be looking ahead to the next week. I'm fine with including that one, but I didn't pick that one because I could see Auburn winning that game. As a matter of fact, there's a decent chance I'm gonna tease that get Auburn nine and a half. 00:36:50 Speaker 2: But still I'm alright with it that being in ours, but I think that one could be fun. What do you got now? 00:36:55 Speaker 5: I have a pick for this week? But can I pick an underdog? 00:36:57 Speaker 2: Yes, you can pick an underdog if you want. 00:36:59 Speaker 5: All right, So this is a rivalry game. 00:37:00 Speaker 11: But I've been really impressed by this team, Army is on the road taking on Notre Dame. 00:37:04 Speaker 3: That's first of all, no, you cannot pick a fourteen point h what? But first of all they're gonna get killed? And secondly, this is to win. You cannot be picking Army to beat Notre Dame. 00:37:15 Speaker 5: Do you guys want to win? 00:37:16 Speaker 9: Like? 00:37:16 Speaker 5: Are you trying to sabotage that? 00:37:18 Speaker 2: It's this year? 00:37:19 Speaker 3: That was the worst pick I've ever seen. At least it was this So that was the worst pick. Notre Dame is gonna win by thirty? 00:37:26 Speaker 2: That was the worst. Wanna make a little side bet? Then? 00:37:29 Speaker 3: Yes, I bet you against the spread. Notre Dame covers that fourteen? 00:37:33 Speaker 2: Okay? 00:37:34 Speaker 11: See, and I will bet you that they cover the fourteen? 00:37:37 Speaker 2: Army does or they? So what do you want to bet? You picked the amount? Big shot? 00:37:41 Speaker 5: Well, not not an amount. 00:37:42 Speaker 11: How about you let me host an actual postgame show that's not against Jackson. 00:37:45 Speaker 3: I'm gonna let you host tonight. And so you've already won. Hey, if I'm not two eight ohighty seven, you guys both look and find another way. 00:37:55 Speaker 2: I got a game. You're you're not picking Army over Notre Dame. Who's next? John is up there, John, Go ahead, John, with when a man becoming a secretary of education, what do you think of positions that obw could become a department? That's great. 00:38:12 Speaker 3: I mean that in this one you could have anything, mister spectacular, homeland security, whatever, whatever you want. I do think though, with Linda McMahon being nominated for Secretary of Education, there's a video of Caine many years ago throwing Linda McMahon through a table, which, just so you know, to show you how weird the world's would come. That's the mayor of Knoxville throwing the secretary of Education through a table. 00:38:37 Speaker 2: That's crazy. That is the world crazy. 00:38:40 Speaker 6: Being commentated by the Governor of Minnesota, Jesse body Vora, who knew. 00:38:48 Speaker 3: When we were watching nineties wrestling, we were seeing the future of American government. 00:38:53 Speaker 5: May be the timeline doesn't add up. 00:38:58 Speaker 2: Yeah, I appreciate the call. 00:39:00 Speaker 3: Actually, I uh, that is really funny to me that but actually she's she's not the least qualified of the people that do it. 00:39:08 Speaker 2: She can do that job. Who's up next? Caleb is next? Caleb? Go ahead? Caleb. Hey, Matt first on caller, Who are what's up? 00:39:19 Speaker 12: I just a couple of callers ago gentlemen mentioned that he was on his anniversary going. 00:39:25 Speaker 7: To the game tonight. 00:39:26 Speaker 12: I thought that was funny because my parents are actually at the remote. They've been married for thirty one years, their anniversaries this weekend, and they're going to the game tonight as well. 00:39:35 Speaker 2: Oh right there, so this is your thirty first anniversary. Wow, and you're in here and then going to the game tonight. Listen. 00:39:44 Speaker 3: Who knew Jackson State would be such a wonderful anniversary present? 00:39:49 Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you what. 00:39:50 Speaker 3: Since you they're your parents and they're sitting here, tell say something nice about them. 00:39:55 Speaker 12: I love my parents very much. They raised a good fun and i'm their face. 00:40:00 Speaker 2: It was really himself about that was wow, I'm how old are you my How old are you my friend? Do you mind me asking? 00:40:09 Speaker 12: I'm nine? 00:40:10 Speaker 3: All right, So I'm just gonna give you a little This is just a little advice. I mean, you're not that young, but you're younger than me. When you're giving compliments to your parents, don't make it a compliment. 00:40:20 Speaker 2: About yourself, which was that they raised a good son. 00:40:23 Speaker 3: You would you should say they were wonderful parents who they inspired me to become a good person. Not they raised a good son. That's really just a compliment to yourself. 00:40:37 Speaker 9: What can I say? 00:40:37 Speaker 12: I mean, you know they they at least they raised me as a UK fan, Right, that's really fun. 00:40:41 Speaker 2: There you go. That is a positive thing. All right. 00:40:43 Speaker 3: Well, happy anniversary. Thank you very much, sir. I appreciate you. I like that they raised that's it. That's something Ryan would say.
