Final Show of 2024: Looking Back at the Year's Biggest Moments & Looking Ahead to 2025

<v Speaker 4>the end of twenty twenty four. This is a bit
<v Speaker 4>of a wrap up show. You may hear a couple
<v Speaker 4>of others on this feed as we go forward into
<v Speaker 4>the last couple of days, and maybe a yearly review
<v Speaker 4>in the in the next week or two. But I
<v Speaker 4>wanted to do one myself, and this is not gonna
<v Speaker 4>be a comprehensive one. There's too many moments in twenty
<v Speaker 4>twenty four that it's really not feasible for me to
<v Speaker 4>go through all of them. The purpose of this show
<v Speaker 4>where this is year typically the week in review spot.
<v Speaker 4>I may touch a little bit on what happened this week,
<v Speaker 4>although nothing particularly major league consequential. Although we did get
<v Speaker 4>an announcement of you know, the Kevin Owens and Cody
<v Speaker 4>Rose and a ladder match, there wasn't anything earth shattering happening.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, we all know the earth shattering raw that's
<v Speaker 4>coming on January sixth, is really where we begin again.
<v Speaker 4>But this is again a bit of a look back
<v Speaker 4>at twenty twenty four, give my thoughts on the year,
<v Speaker 4>some of the bigger moments of the year. I may
<v Speaker 4>even have a little audio so we can enjoy it together.
<v Speaker 4>I can't go too long on the audio because of copyright,
<v Speaker 4>you know, infringement and the like, but I will be
<v Speaker 4>doing a little bit of that, and we do have
<v Speaker 4>some emails from listeners. Where I normally do the mailbag
<v Speaker 4>on Fridays, I couldn't do it on Friday because I
<v Speaker 4>was traveling for the holiday. But now that we're kind
<v Speaker 4>of back in the groove. Although the time between Christmas
<v Speaker 4>and New Year's is like a black coal of time,
<v Speaker 4>no one knows what day it is any we don't
<v Speaker 4>even know what time it is. Supposedly today's Sunday, although
<v Speaker 4>I'm not one hundred percent on that hasn't been confirmed yet,
<v Speaker 4>but that's the rumor. Today's a Sunday. So we've got
<v Speaker 4>a lot to cover as we really kind of reset
<v Speaker 4>our minds. Even if you're not a parent and you
<v Speaker 4>haven't gone through Christmas with the kids, it's still a
<v Speaker 4>weird time. You know, you're you're off work, but sometimes
<v Speaker 4>even if you go, well, if you go into work,
<v Speaker 4>no one's there, but you might have taken a week
<v Speaker 4>or two off or whatever the case. It's like nothing
<v Speaker 4>really gets back into full gear until after the new year.
<v Speaker 4>I would even argue the week after the new year.
<v Speaker 4>So what is that January eighth or something like that, Monday,
<v Speaker 4>the eighth of January that's really to me when things
<v Speaker 4>start to really reset. And it coincides perfectly with the
<v Speaker 4>edition of I'm Sorry January sixth. January sixth edition of
<v Speaker 4>Monday Night Raw that we're going to get, of course,
<v Speaker 4>in a week, one week from tomorrow, we'll get the
<v Speaker 4>massive Monday Night Raw. There is a Raw that's coming
<v Speaker 4>tomorrow night that I feel bad again for all in attendance. Essentially,
<v Speaker 4>you guys are being used as a bit of a
<v Speaker 4>soft landing spot and a promotion piece for the following
<v Speaker 4>Raw that really everyone's looking forward to the debut of
<v Speaker 4>Raw on Netflix. Huge moment for the company, no doubt
<v Speaker 4>about it, landmark landmark moment for the company, coming off
<v Speaker 4>cable television for the first time into streaming full blast
<v Speaker 4>from Monday Night Raw anyway, and it's gonna be a
<v Speaker 4>big show, as we know, and there's a lot to
<v Speaker 4>look forward to, three massive confirmed matches. But we'll get
<v Speaker 4>into all of this, guys, the emails, my thoughts on
<v Speaker 4>twenty twenty four, maybe a little bit of the current
<v Speaker 4>stuff and looking ahead to twenty twenty five. Just one second.

<v Speaker 4>going through, and I'll be honest, I had to go
<v Speaker 4>through other people's lists to remember all the moments because
<v Speaker 4>a year in wrestling time is an eternity because as
<v Speaker 4>wrestling fans and just I think being a human being
<v Speaker 4>in twenty twenty four, our attention spans are extremely limited.
<v Speaker 4>We don't have the attention span beyond a twelve hour period,
<v Speaker 4>no matter the size of the tragedy. Planes are apparently
<v Speaker 4>I mean, South Korea just had a plane explode at
<v Speaker 4>their airport. One hundred and fifty people plus died, and
<v Speaker 4>an airplane, airplane from Air Canada, also had issues. One
<v Speaker 4>was shot down. I forget where it was in the world.
<v Speaker 4>I think last week it was, so three planes in
<v Speaker 4>about a week's time have had issues, many fatalities, and
<v Speaker 4>we're all just kind of gone, huh, man, that's a tragedy,
<v Speaker 4>and we scroll through it on TikTok and move on.
<v Speaker 4>We may have, you know, a day or so where
<v Speaker 4>we get our attentions glued to it. It doesn't matter
<v Speaker 4>who you know who shoots up a school anymore. It's
<v Speaker 4>a tragedy for a day or two, even a week
<v Speaker 4>at the very most, and then it goes on into
<v Speaker 4>the and gets eaten up by the the the news cycle.
<v Speaker 4>It doesn't matter if drones and the hundreds or thousands
<v Speaker 4>are flying above our skies with no answers from our
<v Speaker 4>US intelligence gurus. It doesn't matter if a president the
<v Speaker 4>presidential candidate has two assassination attempts and in otherwise, I mean,
<v Speaker 4>that would be headline news all year, and in our
<v Speaker 4>day and age, it's head i news for less than
<v Speaker 4>a week. So I can go on and on with
<v Speaker 4>the stories of the year. Who dies, what celebrity dies?
<v Speaker 4>We all cry for a day and you move on.
<v Speaker 4>All this to say for wrestling, though, with so much
<v Speaker 4>content and the attention spans already shortened. In our scroll
<v Speaker 4>through TikTok lives wrestling for a full year to go through,
<v Speaker 4>it is a bear. I mean to look back and go,
<v Speaker 4>oh my god, it's try to cover every little detail.
<v Speaker 4>I can't. So if there are big moments, yes, I'm
<v Speaker 4>sure you guys will let me know. Oh my god,
<v Speaker 4>how did you not talk about this or this or
<v Speaker 4>this this? I just simply can't. I don't have the time.
<v Speaker 4>I'm limited in my recording window as it is, so
<v Speaker 4>I'm just going to go through the ones that I
<v Speaker 4>feel were some of the most impactful and historic moments
<v Speaker 4>that took place in twenty twenty four. So you guys ready.
<v Speaker 4>I know I'm ready, all right, So let's start out
<v Speaker 4>with this one. And I'm not even gonna tell you
<v Speaker 4>what it is. I'm just gonna I'm gonna be a
<v Speaker 4>little different tonight. I'm gonna start with a little audio
<v Speaker 4>and then we'll talk about it. So let's do it.
<v Speaker 5>Twenty five Royal Rumble will be my last. The twenty
<v Speaker 5>twenty five Elimination Chamber will be my last. And I'm
<v Speaker 5>here tonight to announce that in Las Vegas, WrestleMania twenty
<v Speaker 5>twenty five will be the last WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 4>I compete him, So he goes on and yeah, obviously
<v Speaker 4>this is a much longer clip, but in the interest
<v Speaker 4>of again copyright issues, John Cena money in the bank
<v Speaker 4>announcing his retirement, and we're now on the cusp of
<v Speaker 4>seeing that retirement play out. We're on the cusp of
<v Speaker 4>seeing it play out. And the way that he phrased it, it
<v Speaker 4>was interesting.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>I was very confused too, because I don't know anybody
<v Speaker 4>that's done this before where they're saying, hey, I'm giving
<v Speaker 4>you guys a six month head up for a full
<v Speaker 4>year that you guys get to enjoy me and we
<v Speaker 4>have our moments and when it's done, it's done. It
<v Speaker 4>was just weirdly phrased, and I think many of us,
<v Speaker 4>like myself, are confused. Oh so you mean WrestleMania is
<v Speaker 4>your final match and wrestle Manie is your like we
<v Speaker 4>all think everything has to end and begin at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 4>and that's not what John Cena said, and that was
<v Speaker 4>clarified in the press conference, and some people took some
<v Speaker 4>time to actually, including myself, to realize, Oh wait a minute, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 4>this is actually gonna be like a year long thing.
<v Speaker 4>And so it's gonna be fun though seeing John Cena
<v Speaker 4>in the ring on a weekly basis perhaps. But here's
<v Speaker 4>here's two things that I'm concerned about when I move
<v Speaker 4>into this. Number one injury. I don't need John Cna
<v Speaker 4>at house shows. I don't need him in every Monday
<v Speaker 4>Night Row or SmackDown or whatever he ends up being on. Honestly,
<v Speaker 4>even if they told me he was drafted to a brand,
<v Speaker 4>I wouldn't believe them because we all know how they
<v Speaker 4>treat drafts and how they respect the draft rules. They don't,
<v Speaker 4>so they're certainly not going to respect it for a
<v Speaker 4>star of the caliber of John Sena and he'll he'll
<v Speaker 4>go wherever the hell he wants to, and he should.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, I'm not even gonna they shouldn't even play
<v Speaker 4>the pretend game of drafting him somewhere. He's a free
<v Speaker 4>agent and he should be he should be able to
<v Speaker 4>come and go as he pleases. He's beyond earn that.
<v Speaker 4>So that's my point though, is beyond the fact that
<v Speaker 4>they don't need to respect the draft rules for him,
<v Speaker 4>not that they would, is he can come and go.
<v Speaker 4>And I don't need him on my show every single week.
<v Speaker 4>I don't even though it's his retirement year and the
<v Speaker 4>focus is going to be off and on John Cnl
<v Speaker 4>a lot. I don't need him in my television screen
<v Speaker 4>every week. If he does that, for fine, I'm just
<v Speaker 4>saying I don't have that expectation. And I also don't
<v Speaker 4>know if I want that expectation, because the risk of injury,
<v Speaker 4>as I've said before, does scare me. With John Cena,
<v Speaker 4>the risk of injury at his age and the fact
<v Speaker 4>that he hasn't had that many bumps in the last
<v Speaker 4>ten years does scare me. Because his body's not used
<v Speaker 4>to it. It takes time to build that up. He
<v Speaker 4>can do all the training and simulation he wants, but
<v Speaker 4>once you get in front of a live crowd, as
<v Speaker 4>you know and everybody knows, it's a different animal, different balling,
<v Speaker 4>and you only really get the bumps on your body
<v Speaker 4>and get your body back used to that if you're
<v Speaker 4>in the ring doing it live in front of an audience.
<v Speaker 4>So that is my concern that he gets injured. And
<v Speaker 4>what happens if he gets injured. Does he add time
<v Speaker 4>to the back of his retirement or does he just,
<v Speaker 4>no matter what, call it quits in December twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 4>Who knows. I would imagine he'll probably still call it
<v Speaker 4>quits in December twenty five unless it's a significant injury
<v Speaker 4>where he's out maybe the back half like the last
<v Speaker 4>four months. He has an injury and he can return
<v Speaker 4>for a final WrestleMania at WrestleMania forty two. Again, I'm
<v Speaker 4>stepping seven steps ahead, but I'm thinking ahead into a
<v Speaker 4>scenario that is not impossible. In fact, leaning towards likely
<v Speaker 4>that he gets injured because of the factors I've talked about.
<v Speaker 4>So the other thing is with this run, I want
<v Speaker 4>John Cena to take it serious. So many times we
<v Speaker 4>see and John Cena is at the top of the
<v Speaker 4>list here when it comes to being guilty of this,
<v Speaker 4>and others have as well, including The Rock. When they
<v Speaker 4>come back, they don't really take it serious. It's kind
<v Speaker 4>of half ass, tongue in cheek. I'm playing my character,
<v Speaker 4>but it's not really me, you know. And you can
<v Speaker 4>tell that that they're doing it with a smile, half
<v Speaker 4>in their in their brain, like, I don't need to
<v Speaker 4>really do this, This doesn't really have any consequences. I'm
<v Speaker 4>not really invested in the product right now, and I
<v Speaker 4>don't need to be. Even though John Cena is one
<v Speaker 4>of the greatest of all time, and he is, I
<v Speaker 4>don't think he's the greatest, like Michael Cole tells us
<v Speaker 4>and demands that we believe. He's not the greatest of
<v Speaker 4>all time in my mind, but he's one of no doubt.
<v Speaker 4>I want him to take it seriously. In the promos,
<v Speaker 4>I don't want him breaking the fourth wall. If he's
<v Speaker 4>going to do this, he needs to be John Cena.
<v Speaker 4>I don't want him talking about you know, I don't
<v Speaker 4>want him talking about his retirement the whole time either.
<v Speaker 4>I know it's going to come up in a lot
<v Speaker 4>of the programs and it's really unavoidable. And whoever he
<v Speaker 4>works with see him Punk, maybe Roman Reigns, you know,
<v Speaker 4>maybe Hell the Rock. The idea though, that everything has
<v Speaker 4>to be about his retirement and I'm gonna put you
<v Speaker 4>into an early retirement and you know you're not gonna
<v Speaker 4>make it to December. You know all these things that
<v Speaker 4>we're gonna hear. It's gonna be fine. But I don't
<v Speaker 4>want the whole thing to be about that. I want
<v Speaker 4>him to just be John Cena, the guy that we
<v Speaker 4>remember if he's gonna go a full year. I don't
<v Speaker 4>need a full year of the same kind of promo
<v Speaker 4>of talking about, oh, you're an old man. Now you
<v Speaker 4>can't keep going like this, and we're gonna put you
<v Speaker 4>into an early retirement. Like I can foresee that, and
<v Speaker 4>I don't want that. I also John Cena on his side,
<v Speaker 4>as I said, want him to take this serious. So
<v Speaker 4>I need him fully invested in the John Cena character,
<v Speaker 4>ripping people a new ass when it comes to his promos,
<v Speaker 4>because he's so good at it, and I think we're
<v Speaker 4>gonna all remember how good he can be. If you've forgotten,
<v Speaker 4>you'll get an education real quick. Of how damn good
<v Speaker 4>John Cena can be on the microphone and when he here,
<v Speaker 4>here's what I'm looking forward to, John Cena, ce Mpunk.
<v Speaker 4>It has to happen. There's just no way right to me,
<v Speaker 4>that is more enticing than Roman Reigns. We've already seen that.
<v Speaker 4>By the way, I don't need he Remember he returned
<v Speaker 4>to SummerSlam twenty twenty one or two, whatever the hell
<v Speaker 4>it was. You already faced Roman Rains. We've been down
<v Speaker 4>that road. I don't need either turning heel either. As
<v Speaker 4>fun as John C. Hiltern would be, I don't really
<v Speaker 4>need it. It's if he doesn't do it, fine, I
<v Speaker 4>don't have the expectation. But I don't want him facing
<v Speaker 4>Roman Rains. I really don't. They can have an interaction,
<v Speaker 4>they might have a little scuffle, but I don't need
<v Speaker 4>them having a full fledged program. But Sampunk is one
<v Speaker 4>that needs to And the question there is who turns heel?
<v Speaker 4>Maybe nobody, But the promos, my god, the promos with
<v Speaker 4>John Cena and cmpunk, just like this, the promos we
<v Speaker 4>haven't seen yet from cmpunk and Roman Reigns. That's coming
<v Speaker 4>down the line of the favor that Seampunk asks to
<v Speaker 4>Paul Hayman that he hasn't cashed in yet that could
<v Speaker 4>have something to do with the Roman reigns or John Cena.
<v Speaker 4>Definitely could. There's so many fun possibilities with John and
<v Speaker 4>it's not just gonna be legacy talent that he works with.
<v Speaker 4>I think it definitely will be for those nostalgic matches.
<v Speaker 4>I think him and Randy Orton are on the list.
<v Speaker 4>He and Saampunk are on the list, you know. He
<v Speaker 4>and Seth Rollins, I think are on the list. He
<v Speaker 4>and The Rock are on the list. I think if
<v Speaker 4>Rock sticks around, and that's a whole other topic, but
<v Speaker 4>the most important thing, no matter who he deals with,
<v Speaker 4>please I want John Cena to take it seriously because
<v Speaker 4>oftentimes when he tries to be funny John or breaking
<v Speaker 4>the fourth wall John Cena, and look how meta I am,
<v Speaker 4>Look how in tune I am with me being the character,
<v Speaker 4>and look how cool it is that I'm playing a
<v Speaker 4>wrestling character. I don't need that, John Cena. John Cena
<v Speaker 4>trying to be funny is the worst version of John
<v Speaker 4>Cena that can exist. I want the serious John Cena
<v Speaker 4>most of the time. That's my favorite. Of course, you know,
<v Speaker 4>I guess wishes aren't being granted here out of a bottle.
<v Speaker 4>I don't have a genie, but that's how I hope
<v Speaker 4>it goes generally, So that's it's gonna be fun. Though,
<v Speaker 4>John January sixth, hell of a hell of him on
<v Speaker 4>a net raw. Johnsena will be there. He is going
<v Speaker 4>to be in the Royal Rumble. And I am going
<v Speaker 4>to give you guys the unfortunate news that the apparent
<v Speaker 4>twenty twenty five Royal Rumble entry order has been leaked.
<v Speaker 4>And I've seen it, and I was debating whether or
<v Speaker 4>not to share it with you guys. I'm not going to.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not going to share it here. And for the
<v Speaker 4>simple reason is I don't want you guys skipping through
<v Speaker 4>the show and missing things. Or I also don't want
<v Speaker 4>someone who can't skip right now to not have to
<v Speaker 4>to like, oh, don't ruin it, don't ruin it. What
<v Speaker 4>are he's sending, you know, spoiling things for? And the
<v Speaker 4>reason I think this is legit is something like this
<v Speaker 4>came out for the twenty twenty three or twenty twenty
<v Speaker 4>four Royal Rumble and it ended up being exact, so
<v Speaker 4>and it looks legit. It leaked. I'm not happy about it.
<v Speaker 4>It looks real ho boy. And I will just say this,
<v Speaker 4>but John Cena is in the Royal Rumble. He is
<v Speaker 4>a Royal Rumble contestant. I will leave it there because
<v Speaker 4>if you want to go dig it up, you can.
<v Speaker 4>You can just search twenty twenty five Royal Rumble leak
<v Speaker 4>and it's right there on Google. I mean right there.
<v Speaker 4>If you want to go check it out, be my guest,
<v Speaker 4>but before warned. I can't unsee it, and you won't
<v Speaker 4>be able to unsee it too, and you may end
<v Speaker 4>up ruining the entire Royal Rumble for yourself, so proceed
<v Speaker 4>with caution. I really do wish I didn't see it.
<v Speaker 4>The only thing I'll say about it, I'm not going
<v Speaker 4>to tell you who's in it, not gonna tell you
<v Speaker 4>who the winner is. And it does tell you on
<v Speaker 4>the sheet who the winner is. It's gonna be a
<v Speaker 4>very interesting Royal Rumble, a very confusing rumble, at least
<v Speaker 4>on paper. Literally on paper. I'm a bit confused as
<v Speaker 4>to the final entrance. Then I'll leave it there, so
<v Speaker 4>go look if you're interested, but I will not spoil
<v Speaker 4>it here because the Royal Rumble is too fun of
<v Speaker 4>a pl and I may have screwed myself by looking
<v Speaker 4>at it, so again perceived with caution anyway, looking forward
<v Speaker 4>to the Royal rumble, looking forward to Johnson has run
<v Speaker 4>in twenty twenty five, I think it's gonna be just
<v Speaker 4>a blast. It's gonna be a blast. So all right,
<v Speaker 4>that's one big moment. What's another one? Let's listen?
<v Speaker 6>Well, the Morgan is still they woman?
<v Speaker 2>You sorry too time that son of the bletch, this
<v Speaker 2>piece of trash, screwtovers dead lea down scores all as well,
<v Speaker 2>real rippling.
<v Speaker 4>All right, well, I think you know what that clip was.
<v Speaker 4>It's with Dominant Mysterio betraying Ria Ripley. Now we all,
<v Speaker 4>I don't think we all. Many of us saw this coming.
<v Speaker 4>Many of us foresaw this with dom turning on Rea.
<v Speaker 4>Rihea obviously is one of the biggest baby faces ww
<v Speaker 4>WE has right now in the women's division. And live Morgan.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, what can you say about her twenty twenty
<v Speaker 4>four year You go from just I mean, I don't
<v Speaker 4>want to say obscurity, but pretty close to being women's
<v Speaker 4>World Champion having good matches to really good matches with
<v Speaker 4>of course that's the subjective way to analyze that, I know,
<v Speaker 4>But for Live Morgan matches and Ria Ripley, hearn Live
<v Speaker 4>working together for the first time in a real program.
<v Speaker 4>I think that this was definitely one of the highlights
<v Speaker 4>of twenty twenty four when it comes to women's programs,
<v Speaker 4>one that I don't think had a lot of women's highlights,
<v Speaker 4>I have to be honest. But we'll get into more
<v Speaker 4>of that later. I think there's another women's moment, but
<v Speaker 4>big moment here with Dominic turning and kissing Live Morgan
<v Speaker 4>at Summer Slam here and costing Rea Ripley the Women's
<v Speaker 4>World Championship. Live Morgan goes on still remains to be
<v Speaker 4>the women's World champion. I think that's gonna come to
<v Speaker 4>an end soon. And they're actually still feuding. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>this program is still going on, and this is in August,
<v Speaker 4>all right, I mean this is was this early. I
<v Speaker 4>think it was early August. Here we are, it's gonna
<v Speaker 4>be January, and they're still having a program now. I
<v Speaker 4>have said that in the January sixth version of Raw
<v Speaker 4>there will be a conclusion here. I think this should
<v Speaker 4>be it. I don't need Live in Ria anymore after this.
<v Speaker 4>It hasn't been the hottest thing in the world for
<v Speaker 4>the whole time from August to January, but there were
<v Speaker 4>times when it was one of the best things on Raw.
<v Speaker 4>It's definitely worn out its welcome. I think at this
<v Speaker 4>point we're all ready for it to conclude. Whatever that
<v Speaker 4>conclusion is. Maybe it is Ria winning, maybe it is
<v Speaker 4>on a January sixth edition of Wrong with Netflix and
<v Speaker 4>all the rest, and how big they're making the show.
<v Speaker 4>I wouldn't put it pass wwe to make a change here,
<v Speaker 4>and where does that leave Ria. I mean, we can
<v Speaker 4>talk about that afterwards, but if it happens. But this
<v Speaker 4>program has generally done a very good job. It's been
<v Speaker 4>a good thing for all three, all three Dom Live
<v Speaker 4>and Ria Live being the most I think elevated out
<v Speaker 4>of the trio here when it comes to who's benefited
<v Speaker 4>the most because Live has I mean, she's really just
<v Speaker 4>from her promos, which I've always been very I've always
<v Speaker 4>really enjoyed Live Morgan's promos because they're believable. She doesn't

<v Speaker 4>size difference between Live and Rhea, which is pretty significant.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, Live Morgan is five foot nothing. I mean
<v Speaker 4>she's like a Lexa Bliss size, and they haven't really
<v Speaker 4>played on that too much other than just she's had
<v Speaker 4>a lot of help to win, which makes sense. Ria
<v Speaker 4>Ripley is overpowering and she should defeat Live easily, and
<v Speaker 4>she's had Live on the ropes many times only to
<v Speaker 4>have Dom screw her. So I think this finally comes
<v Speaker 4>to a head blow off. This better be the conclusion.
<v Speaker 4>I don't need a royal rumble Reema. It's over, and
<v Speaker 4>I think it'll job well done. You know, I would
<v Speaker 4>say bravo to all three and in a in a
<v Speaker 4>story well told and in a turn that yeah, sure,
<v Speaker 4>it may have been a little predictable that we saw coming,
<v Speaker 4>but so what you know, sometimes predictability And I'll keep
<v Speaker 4>saying this because so many times you hear wrestling fans
<v Speaker 4>complain about it oh, it's predictable. But like, if it's
<v Speaker 4>the right thing to do and they execute it, well,
<v Speaker 4>who cares. If the only factor for you for something
<v Speaker 4>to be good is that it's surprising, that's a low,
<v Speaker 4>superficial bar to set. Because here's the thing. If your
<v Speaker 4>logic is that has to be predicted unpredictable to be good, well,
<v Speaker 4>then I think that really would kill most superhero movies
<v Speaker 4>or just movies in general, that most of the time
<v Speaker 4>you have the good guy win. Right If you knew
<v Speaker 4>in a Superman movie, yeh, Superman, you know, if you
<v Speaker 4>said ahead of time, it's gonna suck because you know
<v Speaker 4>Superman in the end of the whole thing is going
<v Speaker 4>to win, well, then you know that kind of tells
<v Speaker 4>me how deep you're diving into the movies or how
<v Speaker 4>deep you dive into what is a good movie and
<v Speaker 4>what's not. Same thing with wrestling, I mean, how can
<v Speaker 4>it possibly be that at the end of the day
<v Speaker 4>if you know the if you know the good guy
<v Speaker 4>is gonna win, but to you it's more important that
<v Speaker 4>it's unpredictable for the outcome, then all you're doing is
<v Speaker 4>introducing chaos and a story you don't really care about

<v Speaker 4>is being, oh my god, they got me twist, plot twist,
<v Speaker 4>that's all you've got. Now, sure, you can have really
<v Speaker 4>good booking that's also unpredictable. That's really hard to do,
<v Speaker 4>and I think at times WWE fans want both of
<v Speaker 4>those things, and they're very often conflicting because most of
<v Speaker 4>the time, most of the time we can kind of
<v Speaker 4>see where they're going, we just don't know how they're
<v Speaker 4>gonna get there. So that's kind of the unpredictable part,
<v Speaker 4>is we don't know how they're gonna get there, going
<v Speaker 4>to get here, and more often than not they do.
<v Speaker 4>But if you want chaos and booking that makes no
<v Speaker 4>sense just for the sake of something being an unpredictable,
<v Speaker 4>then you are a you're a bad storyteller, and you
<v Speaker 4>don't care about actual storytelling. You just want chaos. That's
<v Speaker 4>all ben anyway. All right, So that's another big moment
<v Speaker 4>of obviously Live Morgan and Rhea Ripley. Now this next

<v Speaker 4>What I mean, I'm complimenting Kofe Kingston. You guys know,

<v Speaker 4>style of humor that he's been showing us for the

<v Speaker 4>with Biggie coming out of retirement that he was forced

<v Speaker 4>moments of twenty twenty four. The Wide six debut really
<v Speaker 4>hard for me to even I mean, I can't put
<v Speaker 4>that in an audio form because if you remember what happened,
<v Speaker 4>they debuted on ross the June seventeenth edition of Monday
<v Speaker 4>Night Raw. Wow that far away.
<v Speaker 3>Wow.
<v Speaker 4>It's been over six months since they came back, or
<v Speaker 4>really debuted as a tribute group to Bray Wyatt, Eric
<v Speaker 4>Rowan and Uncle Howdie bod Alice the real brother of
<v Speaker 4>Wyndham Rotunda Bray Wyatt as the real kind of core
<v Speaker 4>soul of the group. And they had a hell of
<v Speaker 4>a debut, killing Chad Gable backstage, who was weirdly in
<v Speaker 4>a double storyline at that point, he had just been
<v Speaker 4>turned on by Otis who finally had enough and my god,
<v Speaker 4>he shoved him weird timing for that. It just didn't
<v Speaker 4>make sense. Now they're seeming to finally maybe get around
<v Speaker 4>to it, but Chad Gable looked like he had been
<v Speaker 4>murdered stage. The Wyat six made a massive debut, using
<v Speaker 4>the same music as Bray Wyatt, going through the same
<v Speaker 4>door of light, but really just a complete massacre backstage
<v Speaker 4>and hell of an impact. And the VHS tapes that
<v Speaker 4>followed were I think a good follow up. They didn't
<v Speaker 4>try to do too much magic and just nonsensical you know,
<v Speaker 4>beyond the pale of belief type of tricks and things,
<v Speaker 4>so that was nice, really more based in reality. They
<v Speaker 4>wwe also didn't try to insult our intelligence by telling
<v Speaker 4>them telling us that these guys and gals like Niki
<v Speaker 4>Cross are not Niki Cross or you know Eric Rohan
<v Speaker 4>or Bodallas or like you know, Dexter Loomis. They actually
<v Speaker 4>decided to tell us that those are the people who
<v Speaker 4>was in this group, like, they didn't try to change
<v Speaker 4>their names. I really appreciated that, so that helped in
<v Speaker 4>terms of the believability here. But I think they flatlined
<v Speaker 4>pretty quick, like real quick, I mean within a month
<v Speaker 4>or two. It was just kind of like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 4>that's right, the Wide Six are still here. So clearly
<v Speaker 4>they didn't have any long term plans for this group.
<v Speaker 4>They just had a shock value type of plan and
<v Speaker 4>then it's feel out along the way type of plan.
<v Speaker 4>That's clearly what it was, and I don't want to
<v Speaker 4>hear otherwise because they've done. There was like a month
<v Speaker 4>period where they just didn't even weren't even on raw.
<v Speaker 4>So that said, seems like maybe things are heating back
<v Speaker 4>up here with the Final Testament. But anyway, the impact
<v Speaker 4>here was massive, at least at the beginning, and it
<v Speaker 4>was a fun legacy for the Wide Six to play
<v Speaker 4>out for bray Whitet. Alrighty, well, this this next moment
<v Speaker 4>is one that uh, I mean, it has to be
<v Speaker 4>in my mind, one of the biggest moments of twenty
<v Speaker 4>twenty four. And this is no not a ranking, by
<v Speaker 4>the way, Ranking it for me is more difficult because
<v Speaker 4>it becomes more subjective and all that. These are just
<v Speaker 4>to me some of the top moments all right, in
<v Speaker 4>no particular order, But if I was to rank them,
<v Speaker 4>this would be up in the one or two segment
<v Speaker 4>one or two categories. So once again, just take a
<v Speaker 4>listen to this. So that was The Rock debuting his
<v Speaker 4>final Boss theme. Now, there's many other moments that The
<v Speaker 4>Rock had him acknowledging Roman reigns. I think was definitely
<v Speaker 4>a moment when The Roman, when he was still a heel,
<v Speaker 4>asked The Rock to acknowledge him and he did. That
<v Speaker 4>was shocking. Now this next moment, though, came at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>forty and I have to I have to play it.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it's a WrestleMania forty and let's get to it.

<v Speaker 4>went on a rant backstage and directly made mention of
<v Speaker 4>Stone Cold, whose big face was on the side of
<v Speaker 4>a truck. So hopefully they make good on it this
<v Speaker 4>year with the Rock getting stunned by Austin. But boy
<v Speaker 4>oh boy, I mean, I'm just still sour about that,
<v Speaker 4>even how many months later. It's just it was a
<v Speaker 4>total flop by Austin, who tried to chalk it up
<v Speaker 4>to a prior commitment, which is a bunch of nonsense.
<v Speaker 4>It did come down to money, but I don't think
<v Speaker 4>he wanted to put that out there publicly because it
<v Speaker 4>would ma him look back. Whatever the case, God dang
<v Speaker 4>perfectly set up for a stutter and we get the Undertaker.
<v Speaker 4>It sounds like I'm a sport wrestling thing complaining about
<v Speaker 4>the Undertaker choke slamming The Rock in twenty twenty four
<v Speaker 4>at WrestleMania in the main event. But that's the way
<v Speaker 4>it goes. When you hype it up that much and
<v Speaker 4>you have the Rock in the middle of the ring
<v Speaker 4>and you don't hear Austin's music, You're like, what the

<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania forty and stun the Rock at WrestleMania fing forty
<v Speaker 4>in the main event. Damn. I mean, it's the only
<v Speaker 4>time I'll complain about the Undertaker choke slamming the Rock

<v Speaker 4>around his word, built around his you know, trust, loyalty, trust, respect,

<v Speaker 4>been another possible choice to win this year's Men's Royal Rumble,
<v Speaker 4>like McIntyre, Punk or Gunther number two WrestleMania main event,
<v Speaker 4>going from a proposed Roman Rock to a Roman Cody.
<v Speaker 4>I was on board for a Roman versus Rock main
<v Speaker 4>event instead of a Cody versus Roman because Roman versus
<v Speaker 4>Cody could have been booked for either Backlash or SummerSlam
<v Speaker 4>of this year with Cody finishing this finally finishing the story,
<v Speaker 4>Roman versus Rock for the Battle of the Head of
<v Speaker 4>the Table would have been a major event, main event
<v Speaker 4>for Night two since WrestleMania forty was another huge milestone
<v Speaker 4>in w w's long history of WrestleMania's I think Roman
<v Speaker 4>would have won that match against the Rock with no
<v Speaker 4>outside shenanigans. And you know here's the other benefit we got.
<v Speaker 4>We got the best version of the Rock we've ever
<v Speaker 4>seen in this Final Boss. The Final Boss would exist
<v Speaker 4>without the Cody cry Babies, so we do have them
<v Speaker 4>to thank. Number three, Punk and McIntyre and absolutely entertaining
<v Speaker 4>few that had really solid matches, especially the Hell in
<v Speaker 4>a Cell match from Bad Blood Seat. These are the
<v Speaker 4>matches guys that I just I agree with you. I
<v Speaker 4>just didn't choose it for my show Punk and McIntyre
<v Speaker 4>have entering good chemistry and the promos against each other
<v Speaker 4>with top notch. This feud brought out the best and
<v Speaker 4>most maniaca version of Drew, and we already know what
<v Speaker 4>Punk can do in the ring and on the mic.
<v Speaker 4>Plus Punk did say in a promo in his first
<v Speaker 4>or second appearance in twenty twenty three he is here
<v Speaker 4>in WWE to make money, and I have to say
<v Speaker 4>this Punk McIntire feud was definitely a money maker. Only
<v Speaker 4>time will tell how Rollins and Punk and twenty twenty
<v Speaker 4>five will go. That's the other thing. Drew is not
<v Speaker 4>just an honorable mention to me. He is one of
<v Speaker 4>the top highlights of twenty twenty four, no doubt. So
<v Speaker 4>I'll add Drew McIntyre's just descent into a truth telling
<v Speaker 4>heel into my top I mean, that's one of my
<v Speaker 4>top three most improved, if not the most improved wrestler
<v Speaker 4>or surprisingly improved wrestler of twenty twenty four. Now that
<v Speaker 4>you really can do much with McIntire, because he was
<v Speaker 4>already a really strong character that never has a bad match,
<v Speaker 4>But this altering his character is just it's awesome. Number
<v Speaker 4>four Bailey's World title flop an absolute disgrace of a
<v Speaker 4>title run for Bailey after winning the Women's Rumble and
<v Speaker 4>defeating Yo Sky at WrestleMania forty total ran has been
<v Speaker 4>an afterthought. Could some other female have won the Rumble
<v Speaker 4>instead of Bailey, like Live or Naomi or Bianca or
<v Speaker 4>returning Charlotte Flair if she wasn't injured? Long Term five
<v Speaker 4>Jacob Fatu and bron Breaker the breakout year, both competitors
<v Speaker 4>coming from a family of wrestling legends, had I guessed
<v Speaker 4>something to prove in carving out their own legacies. Jacob
<v Speaker 4>fa two debuted on an episode of SmackDown from Chicago
<v Speaker 4>as he made a major impact with Solo's bloodline and
<v Speaker 4>being the one that brutally attacked Cody with a Samoan
<v Speaker 4>splash through the announce stable. Jacob Fatu is definitely a
<v Speaker 4>major star on the rise for WWE going into twenty
<v Speaker 4>twenty five. And of course, let's not forget about bron Breaker,
<v Speaker 4>who at least was randomly attacked, attacking individuals and causing
<v Speaker 4>Adampeers all kinds of trouble just because he was not
<v Speaker 4>included in the Men's Money in the Bank. Then came
<v Speaker 4>his Intercontinent title run, beginning after he defeated Sammy's Ain
<v Speaker 4>at SummerSlam, then defeating j Uso in October to become
<v Speaker 4>a two time Icy champ. If Solo's bloodline were to
<v Speaker 4>break up due to the w WE transfer window next year,
<v Speaker 4>with Solo staying on SmackDown, Tomatonga moving to NXT, and
<v Speaker 4>Fatou moving Garraw, I would definitely love to see a
<v Speaker 4>Breaker versus Fat two match, and how a new Icy
<v Speaker 4>champ in Jacoba two. Do you see a new Icy
<v Speaker 4>Champion Jacoba two in twenty twenty five? Doesn't seem so
<v Speaker 4>far fetched? No, absolutely not anyway, keep it a five,
