If there's any question, and you are special, you will find out. If you've listened to our past episodes, we always one of the questions we often ask is if you were on a deserted island, who would you take with you? 00:01:11 Speaker 4: You must be I mean we. 00:01:13 Speaker 1: Met at Jon and Chock's engagement party, but you must be a barrel of laughs because every guy has said they would tay of you. If you could pick three guys, for a dessert to be on a deserted island. 00:01:24 Speaker 4: With You're one of them. So what makes you so damn fun? Keith? What makes you so much fun? 00:01:30 Speaker 5: Oh, it's just it's by One thing that I taught my daughters as well is just have fun with life. I mean, we're only here for a little short time. You have a good positive attitude towards it. I have a ton of fun. Yeah. 00:01:46 Speaker 1: I mean, I will say, you laugh all the time at Jones party Jonan Chock's party. You know, I spoke with you a little bit, but every time I looked over, you were laughing with the group. 00:01:58 Speaker 4: I mean literally you were laughing everything, even. 00:02:00 Speaker 5: The wine too. Who knows, you know? 00:02:04 Speaker 3: So how are you? 00:02:06 Speaker 4: How are you the house life? 00:02:08 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:02:09 Speaker 3: No, your holidays were good. 00:02:10 Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean every year I quit giving my kids gifts. So we go to Mexico for the last three years. It's just a trip to my three daughters and I we take off and uh we just get away for a week. Yeah. 00:02:24 Speaker 4: Wait, so you have three daughters? 00:02:26 Speaker 5: Oh three? Oh yeah, girl, Dad come on yeah yeah, I've got twenty four, twenty two and eighteen. So yeah, wow, wow, that's it funny. 00:02:36 Speaker 3: So that's where that picture came from. Kathy. 00:02:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, so, yeah, I was. That was one of my questions. I was hoping you were going to say it was at least one of your daughters. 00:02:45 Speaker 4: I saw. 00:02:46 Speaker 1: You know, I comb the Internet for truth. You know, that's where all truth lives is on the internet, and there was. 00:02:53 Speaker 5: I believe everything I read. 00:02:54 Speaker 1: I mean, listen, you know what I've learned from the internet. Everyone has a perfect life except me. That is what I wanted. 00:03:03 Speaker 4: Here's the thing I want to know. 00:03:06 Speaker 1: There's a picture of you, I think it was yesterday, the day before, with four young ladies in bikinis, and you're just yeah, alright, you remember those. 00:03:17 Speaker 3: Your three daughters, daughters? 00:03:19 Speaker 4: They all look very different. 00:03:22 Speaker 5: Oh, it's it's amazing you have the first two like the first one. I feel so bad. People go, oh, you're your dad. You look just like your dad. So I feel real hard. And then you know they're all beautiful. But it's then my middle one got all the hype. I mean, my ex wife was five four and so then my third daughter is she's. 00:03:43 Speaker 1: Only she's tiny, dark hair, tiny, teenyed. How tall are you Keith six five and and so? How tall is your oldest daughter five nine and. 00:03:54 Speaker 3: Wow, it's like my daughters. 00:03:57 Speaker 4: Yeah, and your wife was five yeah. 00:04:01 Speaker 1: Oh, you're one of those people that can I just say your ex wife because I'm five eight your ex wife. 00:04:08 Speaker 4: I would have walked behind. 00:04:09 Speaker 1: And said that bitch, she stole a tall guy from the rest of us. 00:04:15 Speaker 3: I loved your height when we met. I love a tall man. 00:04:18 Speaker 5: Well, I crack up. I mean I probably screwed up when I met all the bachelors from you know, Gen season or from Joey and I look at him and the first thing out of my mouth is, you guys are short? 00:04:31 Speaker 3: Did they not grow yet? 00:04:32 Speaker 4: I mean, I'll tell you that. 00:04:37 Speaker 1: I was going to say, but you know what, you don't when you're watching the show, you don't see it because everyone's tall, right, But most a lot of men in Hollywood shows and stuff are actually relatively short. 00:04:51 Speaker 4: But you guys were so tall. 00:04:53 Speaker 3: How tall was Pascal? 00:04:54 Speaker 2: He wasn't as tall as he's. 00:04:59 Speaker 5: Probably five ten probably No. Yeah. When we had our group picture, though, Jordan was in the back row and then they asked him to move to the second row. He's like, he's six two, and he's like, I'm always in the back row, and I'm kind of like, dude, if you're shorts, you're short six. 00:05:17 Speaker 4: So so tell us. You know, we're in the new year. What it mean to you? 00:05:21 Speaker 1: What changes are you making? I personally don't make resolutions, but you know what do you? 00:05:26 Speaker 5: I don't make resolutions. I tried to make resolutions quote unquote, Yeah, reservations are the best. You know, good good meal, good glass of wine, that's where I go. Yeah. Now I've just tried to again. Just it's just to upon myself, you know, more than anything. The the show last year, all the guys, we've all talked about it. It was like therapy. It saved me two hundred bucks an hour. Uh, by just being with all these guys. 00:05:54 Speaker 2: Same ditto, because you you get to know yourself and who you are. 00:05:59 Speaker 4: What's the thing you learned, Keith? What do you know about yourself now that you didn't on the show? 00:06:04 Speaker 3: Perfect? Then I wouldn't change it. 00:06:06 Speaker 4: Then that's what the internet told me. 00:06:09 Speaker 5: He told me not to change, but it did. But it helped me to change as well. So again I have a big personality. You know, you guys met me right, yeah, yeah, us, and we can we can control a reno problem. Yeah, the thing I used to hide behind my personality and I would, you know, in my relationships, you know, finding love, whatever, I'd always hide behind it. And what I've learned is don't how. 00:06:32 Speaker 3: Do you mean hide behind it? What do you mean by it? 00:06:35 Speaker 5: Was almost a shield, like a guard to protect, to protect, to protect my heart and heck with it that I've always been one. 00:06:48 Speaker 3: Yeah, just because we're lovable. 00:06:50 Speaker 1: Okay, but wait, I have a question. I have a question. All three of us clearly are big personalities. That's those about time. 00:06:56 Speaker 5: We're going to talk over each other this whole. 00:06:58 Speaker 4: That's right, and I do it daily. 00:07:02 Speaker 1: But here's the question, Keith, do you find because Susan and I have talked about this, you know, we're very good friends. We've talked about together and we've talked about on the podcast, the fact that we are both big personalities. It takes a special person to see through the big personality and see that we are sensitive, we are carrying, We are lovely, warm human beings. Do you find that in your dating life? 00:07:28 Speaker 5: Yes? 00:07:28 Speaker 4: But but and are you dating? 00:07:31 Speaker 5: I'm going to add a caveat on top of that, is that I need to also show more of that side without being scared of showing that portion of me, you know, in the private moments and the one on one moments even in a group setting. 00:07:45 Speaker 3: And not be funny. You mean, is that what you're saying, and be more serious. 00:07:49 Speaker 5: Yeah, instead of instead of always making light of y. Yeah, actually show you know what I'm matching vulnerable side. 00:07:58 Speaker 4: So are you have you been doing that? 00:08:01 Speaker 5: I have been dating more yet. 00:08:03 Speaker 3: I can't every person from that. 00:08:05 Speaker 4: So let me guess. Have you had a lot of women reach out to through DMS? 00:08:09 Speaker 5: Oh? Yeah, but I've only gone out with one woman through the DMS. It's uh. I just think it's so to try to meet somebody through that. It's I've never done the apps. I'm not really comfortable with it. It's more through networking people that I know, people that have reached out to me saying, hey, I know somebody, or I've had people reach out to me that have said, you know, I'm friends with this Person's. 00:08:35 Speaker 2: How we want to do that, Kathy, I think every person we come in contact. 00:08:38 Speaker 3: With, do you have an older brother, do you have an uncle? Your father? 00:08:42 Speaker 1: So I just want to step back from minute Keith and ask you you. 00:08:47 Speaker 4: You raised your daughter's correct. 00:08:49 Speaker 5: Yeah, for the last well since since my oldest one was around twelve, twelve. 00:08:54 Speaker 4: Years old and you had you had them full time, Yes, full time. 00:09:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that to me, we have a lot of respect for you. 00:09:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, that that is. 00:09:07 Speaker 5: You know, this is one thing. By the way, thank you very much for the compliment that I get a lot of that compliment that it's really weird, because I shouldn't say weird. Single moms don't get the same compliments that I get because you're expected to do it and we're not. And it's sort of as a bad on the guys. It's like, hold it. Men aren't going to step up and raise their kids. No, I think they would, but we're not expected to were the mom. I have as much respect for the any single parent out there is. It's hard. 00:09:42 Speaker 2: It's hard as a balance. You have to do the balance because you have to take care of yourself as well. It's not easy. Well, raising kids isn't easy. I don't care if there's three people in it. 00:09:53 Speaker 4: I mean the hardest part for me was. 00:09:55 Speaker 5: The empathy part. I mean, if within a mom dad relationship there's there's one person with that empathy, it gives you the hug listens, and then there's the fixer. And I always used to be the fixer, but now I have to do both. Now I have to listen first. And then. 00:10:16 Speaker 4: How do they come to you for dating advice? 00:10:19 Speaker 5: Dating advice? No, but we talk about who they're dating. Yeah, I know I go to them for dating advice. A. 00:10:34 Speaker 1: Sorry, are you dating someone, Keith? Are you dating one woman? Or you're just dating around us? 00:10:39 Speaker 5: Dating right now? Yeah, we'll see where things go. It's out there. 00:10:42 Speaker 3: You have you seen one woman more than once? Is that dating? 00:10:46 Speaker 5: Like? 00:10:46 Speaker 3: What is dating around like? 00:10:49 Speaker 5: Because I don't even like using the word around because it just sounds so fridolished. It does it's not so. No, I'm dating more than one person in my brain, it's hard. Multi asking like that is really hard. Right now? Right now, I'm seeing somebody seeing one person, but serious, I don't know. It's only been a few dates and we'll see where it goes. 00:11:10 Speaker 4: But wait a minute, I'm sorry, that's our nation. I want you to hear this. 00:11:14 Speaker 1: Right before we came on air, I swear I heard Keith invite Susan and me on a double date? 00:11:19 Speaker 4: Are you are you too? 00:11:21 Speaker 1: Chiming us already, Keith already already look at me, just a player. 00:11:26 Speaker 3: Just let her know we're coming. That's all. 00:11:29 Speaker 4: Well, we'll have a we'll all have a blast. So wow, all right, Well, I don't know. I've got a. 00:11:36 Speaker 2: Couple of questions I have. What are your feelings coming off the show? Has it changed you in any way? 00:11:44 Speaker 3: Has it? 00:11:45 Speaker 5: No? He did, We don't want, But to be really specific, I'm I'm really work focused on me, which sounds it's not selfish me it is, but it's I'm really concentrated to make sure that the decisions I make, whether it's on a date, whether it's with my friends, whether it's with my daughters, that I'm also I'm not just doing it out of habit or to make. 00:12:12 Speaker 3: Somebody conscious of what I'm. 00:12:14 Speaker 5: Conscious of my needs as well, and you know, being honest with him, and yeah, it's good to be honest, don't you don't again, I'm going to go back to that thing. I'm trying not to hide my feelings behind and just be a million it's friendly. 00:12:30 Speaker 2: Tell me what the feeling was when you were chosen the very first night as. 00:12:39 Speaker 5: So I was right when it happened. I was like I had forgotten all about the first impression was but before we left, I mean, I've watched the show, Jordan. I was going to smack Jordan kept and he kept calling me fanboy, shut up. But I've been I've watched the show for twenty years. I mean, Tristan Ryan my always flavor couple. So I watched it for twenty you know, twenty years whatever, off and on. You know, Gosh, the night that I failed. You know, after that, I was thinking about Hannah and her toast, you know, like, oh my god, there's a moment for me. I really effed up episode four. But when I so winto she gave before before I came on the show, my daughters and I talked. I said it would be really cool. I mean, you know, let's manifest this or whatever trashum rose. But when the rose got put on the table, I explained it to everybody. What it was for nobody really knew, and so I explained it to everybody. But then when I was sitting with Joan, I'd forgotten all about it. I had no idea and she left. It's like, did she have to go to the restroom or why she's been gone a long time? 00:13:46 Speaker 3: She went to go get the rose, and she got the rose. 00:13:49 Speaker 5: And she came around the corner and I saw the rose and I was like, oh my gosh, this is happening. 00:13:54 Speaker 3: Yes, this is Did you just feel so special? 00:13:57 Speaker 5: Yeah, you do, and it's an it's not you know, it wasn't because I was I wanted it. It was really nice just to be acknowledged. 00:14:08 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's so. So how did you get on the show, Keith? Did you apply? 00:14:15 Speaker 5: I think I was the only guy that applied. 00:14:17 Speaker 4: I applied. I applied. We know on our show. 00:14:23 Speaker 5: Well, your daughters applied for them or friends applied? 00:14:26 Speaker 4: Michael? 00:14:27 Speaker 1: Who was it was that Michael somebody? I think it was Michael who's uh didn't his daughter or somebody applied and he didn't even know And he got a phone call and he. 00:14:36 Speaker 4: Thought it was a joke. 00:14:37 Speaker 3: I'm serious. 00:14:38 Speaker 4: I think I'm not sure it was Michael, but one that's great. 00:14:42 Speaker 5: Yeah, there was some guys that their daughters had applied a year earlier, and they, you know, year and a half gone by, and all of a sudden they get a phone call and it's like, what are you talking about? 00:14:52 Speaker 3: Mine was three years? 00:14:54 Speaker 2: Oh my god, three years I forgot all about it and got a phone call and I was like, you liked me? 00:14:58 Speaker 3: She said, now we shut down to the pandemic. 00:15:01 Speaker 5: And I was like, I tried to get a friend of mine, she was twenty six at the time, to apply for a bachelor bachelorette and she never did, and you know whatever. And then she called me one day and she's like, you need to apply for this, and so I looked it up. But at the time it said you had to be sixty five and I think I was fifty eight to fifty nine at the time. 00:15:22 Speaker 4: Hold are you now, Keith sixty two? Okay? 00:15:25 Speaker 5: And so then I watched Gary season and it was on the final rows. After the final Rose Show, I went home that night popped a bottle of wine. 00:15:35 Speaker 1: Bill, I'm doing this, have you, hey, Susan than to do what I can tell you? 00:15:40 Speaker 4: Notice? 00:15:40 Speaker 1: Have you noticed that Keith mentions a lot about popping bottles of wine? You are God, Yeah, You're all kind of got for me. 00:15:50 Speaker 4: I applied literally, I saw it. 00:15:52 Speaker 1: My daughter was had a baby prematurely, and I was sitting with her because the baby was in the neck. You and I'm just scrolling through again, you know, all true life on Facebook and I see this advertisement and I clicked the button and never that's how much thought I could do that click. They called me the next day, Oh wow, and it went so fat. And that was like middle of May when I signed, you know, and then we filmed it. 00:16:19 Speaker 5: Time out and you know, you tape in like July or whatever. Yeah, June. I found out two weeks before, like you need to be ready in two weeks. 00:16:27 Speaker 4: Yeah, but I had a little more notice. 00:16:29 Speaker 2: The hard part, too, is the not knowing. You know, you're going through all the process and you really don't know I. 00:16:37 Speaker 5: Feel about the application in November. Didn't hear from them until January when it started. 00:16:42 Speaker 3: That's not that's a well, no, that's when it started. 00:16:46 Speaker 5: But you didn't find out for another six months. 00:16:48 Speaker 3: Yeah, And we were. 00:16:50 Speaker 5: Sitting around again over a glass of wine and it was like throwing you know, one, two, three, Am I Am I going to get picked or not? And two of us were yes. 00:16:59 Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, So I want to know now you've had obviously you know, you and Joan didn't work out. Whatever. I want to know, what are the character traits? What is it you look for in a woman. Take Susan, get a pencil, take notes for us. 00:17:15 Speaker 4: What are you looking for? 00:17:16 Speaker 3: What are you looking at? 00:17:17 Speaker 4: Yeah, what are you looking for? 00:17:18 Speaker 5: It? That's fine, you know the number one. I really that it sums it up as a positive attitude towards life. I mean you have to just be uh you have and I don't want to say you have to be a fun person. I look for an intelligent woman, somebody who is self aware. You know, when I say successful, that doesn't mean financially. I mean successful in the fact that you're a strong woman, that you know what you want and you are good where you're at in your life and where you want to go. And then you have to have a positive outlook on life as well. Uh, you know physically, you know, I'm a big eyes and smile. I mean that's when you see that that's the first thing you see and that you're met that actually gives you your personality if that you are or it comes there's an energy in an area that I feel. 00:18:04 Speaker 1: Can I just say for people who don't know, we're doing this on a video and Keith is talking and Susan and I are both batting our eyes and smiling near to ear So, Keith, have you. 00:18:14 Speaker 3: Ever been on a dating site? Did you ever have to swipe left right? Never? 00:18:19 Speaker 5: Once? I was sitting around in my little logo. There's a lot of alcohol a little local bar, and the waitresses were like and I was like, yeah, I probably need to get out there and date it. I've been divorced for maybe a year year and a half, and so they helped me do my bumble profile, picking pictures out, and I think. 00:18:39 Speaker 2: Isn't it difficult that online you're just looking at a photograph, Yeah, hoping it's current. 00:18:45 Speaker 3: You never know, you know, well. 00:18:48 Speaker 2: In fact, you don't see that smile and that twinkle and that attitude. 00:18:51 Speaker 3: It's difficult. 00:18:53 Speaker 5: So the other thing I've tried not to do now is that if I've been set up on a date, they go, hey, do you want me send you a picture? And I'm like, no, don't send a picture because then I have a preconceived notion of what she looks like, you know, because there's a physical attraction too, but a personality goes way beyond the physical attractions. 00:19:13 Speaker 4: Okay, you what a smart man you are? 00:19:15 Speaker 3: I like. 00:19:16 Speaker 1: But but Keith, I have a question, because again Susan and I have strong personalities. I have had lots of dates with men who say they want. 00:19:28 Speaker 4: A woman who. 00:19:30 Speaker 1: Is everything you described, strong personality successful again not necessarily monetarily, but who knows who she has, knows what she wants, and is confident in herself. But then as time goes on, they often will say, well, that isn't quite what I meant. So we Susan and I have talked about this because. 00:19:51 Speaker 3: A lot of inimy. 00:19:53 Speaker 4: That's where I was going. They you don't find that at all. 00:19:57 Speaker 5: That that is what has helped me from the show and from learning about myself over the last you know, just being single is be confident in myself and and don't don't get that jealous I think, I don't know if it's a jealousy or something about you know, you go to a party or you go out somewhere and that person their friend group. You know, even at this age, we all have our own friend groups and now we're trying to mix them together. Yeah, so let that person be who they are and don't be jealous or envious or anything about that's who you're dating. That's why you pick that person. Accept it and love it, and be comfortable with who you are that you might be in the again. I'm used to being out on front and center. Be okay with being in the fact and just just hanging out. 00:20:45 Speaker 3: Okay. 00:20:47 Speaker 2: How was it getting to know all the men like your show, the love and the bonding and the children being shown. 00:20:55 Speaker 3: It was just so emotional. 00:20:56 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:20:57 Speaker 5: By the way, the kids, they have a big group text site now called the Golden Kids. Oh and from that show, there's it's like forty of them. My oldest daughter who is like, dad, how do I get off of this thing? She was talking as my middle daughter, and she was an instigator of helping put it Just. 00:21:15 Speaker 3: Tell her to put it on silent. 00:21:16 Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no, no, you can leave the group. You can leave. Oh, that's funny. 00:21:23 Speaker 5: That's me. That show. That was my favorite taping show at all because all the kids and all the families. It was beautiful, you know, and I and I love all the guys, all twenty of us that run the show. Don't get me wrong, but I've got my course. 00:21:37 Speaker 4: Six and that was where I was. 00:21:40 Speaker 1: That's where I was. No, No, that's where my next question. But I didn't want to interrupt because I'm so prone to do that. You're on a deserted island, Keith. Besides Susan and me? Juiot, you get three choice? 00:21:52 Speaker 4: What are you taken? 00:21:53 Speaker 5: Oh? Jordan, Dan and Mark are probably the three that I that I those are the we you know again, you know, hey, all you other guys that are listening out there, I don't. 00:22:04 Speaker 4: I mean Jordan's said you. 00:22:06 Speaker 5: Yeah, No, Jordan and I are type. 00:22:08 Speaker 4: That's what I said. 00:22:10 Speaker 5: The first day we were on there, somebody I think it was great, goes do you guys know each other? 00:22:14 Speaker 4: And it was just and are you? Are you? And Jordan's so Susan and I are very different. 00:22:22 Speaker 1: I mean we look different, we act like we are night and day on so many things. 00:22:27 Speaker 4: But we would walk on hot calls. 00:22:29 Speaker 1: For each other's are you and Jordans different? 00:22:32 Speaker 4: Or are you very similar? 00:22:35 Speaker 5: I think we ever, it's it's just a collage or mix of everything. 00:22:41 Speaker 2: I mean, we give the personalities metch and get along, get each other. 00:22:46 Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll throw it out like Dan is a lot more quiet and yes it's fun. Yeah. And uh and then you know Mark, we were in we were a group and somebody asked me to go give me something. I was at the Chalk's parties but he came up and they were talking to Mark and Keith. Give me something bad to say about Mark. 00:23:04 Speaker 3: I didn't think of anything. 00:23:06 Speaker 5: I did. The only thing. He's a soft talker. That's the first thing. It's like, Mark, you speak up. 00:23:12 Speaker 2: But yes, I feel like Mark has come out of his shell a little bit. 00:23:17 Speaker 4: Have you seen her? 00:23:18 Speaker 1: Have you seen him with a few a few little questions. Inquiring minds want to know. I met Mark and his girlfriend. They seem Barbara. They seem very happy. 00:23:27 Speaker 5: Oh and she's so sweet. She is really nice. And I called him on It was right before New Year's I called him and they were in Uh, they were doing the big family get together and everybody meet and Barbara took the phone from Mark and we started talking. I mean, she's just so easy to talk to. 00:23:44 Speaker 4: She was how and how did they meet? Didn't didn't she reach out to him? On to him? 00:23:49 Speaker 3: This is what I'm talking about. Kathy and men our age, don't go on social media. I'm women too, and women aren't shy anymore. 00:23:58 Speaker 5: I'm not going to say. I just I've got some buddies that have tried to get me on and they're sixty two years old. They're back. You know, I went to Purdue University. 00:24:06 Speaker 3: It's most my day a sixty two years old. 00:24:09 Speaker 5: Just all right, I'll blow it out all my buds out there, you know, if you're ag give me a call. So they you know, but they're own sites like they when they travel on work or whatever they're they're on a site even to date in that area. 00:24:26 Speaker 3: So yeah, tender all over. 00:24:28 Speaker 5: I just don't get it. I just don't do it. 00:24:38 Speaker 4: What what's your age range that you'll date, Keith? 00:24:41 Speaker 5: Wow? Uh, let's say I'm sixty two fifty to the high end is up in the air, because I would if I have to throw a number, I'll throw sixty five. But again, I try not to throw agento it. It's a matter of maturity. It's a matter of do we get along. It's there's a lot of things that yeah. 00:25:01 Speaker 3: I'm sixty seven. 00:25:02 Speaker 4: I'm just saying, Susan, Yeah, all right, so we do. 00:25:10 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going back on Instagram and Facebook where the truth lives. Okay, we do fan questions, Keith, and we're gonna that's what nature people write in. I'm going to read a question. Uh, you're going to help us answer it. If you're willing to do that. 00:25:28 Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, here we go. 00:25:30 Speaker 5: So my big joke is my big joke is, so I was on with Joe and Serena and they're like, hey, we're gonna ask you questions. And this is right after Jens. Yeah after, and like, do I have a choice? And so you asked me a question? I like to have a choice. 00:25:43 Speaker 4: Yeah. No, But this this we want. This will not torture. This is fine. 00:25:46 Speaker 1: This is from Nina and she says, Hi, ladies, I love your podcast, and I'm really hoping you see this. 00:25:54 Speaker 4: I could so use your advice. 00:25:56 Speaker 1: My husband and I are officially ready to file for divorce and we need to tell our kids how do we do this. We have two teenagers and our youngest is ten. For context, we're splitting up because of an infidelity on my husband's part about a year ago that we just haven't been able to bounce back from. I don't want to make the kids hate their dad, but I really do want to be honest with them. They have no idea that our marriage has been having issues, so this will come as a shock. Love you, ladies, Thank you so much. Go Keith go. 00:26:31 Speaker 5: Dads are more resilient than you think when I got divorced and I went to my kids, they were like, why, you know, they knew things weren't good, and they asked me why I didn't do it sooner. But the kids are very and so kids are more aware than you probably think. Number one. Number two is just be honest. Don't treat them as kids. 00:26:56 Speaker 4: So you would tell a ten year old that your father, No. 00:27:02 Speaker 5: I wouldn't use the word cheated or anything. We have our there's a way to talk about the differences that you have that you're growing apart. You know, the love isn't there anymore. I think there's a bigger picture that you talk about. If you delve into the details, then you're you know, you can talk to your Yeah, don't don't try to talk mean about anyone. It's just situation, right. 00:27:26 Speaker 3: People make mistakes. 00:27:27 Speaker 2: But but my feeling as I read it, I'm thinking they got to break it to a lot of times they blame the mom. Mom don't want to be married anymore, And it's not just mom. That's something that's caused that. 00:27:40 Speaker 5: Well, that's and I would think that it's what did dad do? See it's from the guide point of view, But either way, take take blame out of it. It's just by the way it takes two to tango. Yep, the infidelity happened. And I'm sorry, Nina, but you you and your husband just can't make it talk to communicating in some way or stop growing together in some way, and that's the infidelity happened. But there's something behind the foundation that started it. 00:28:10 Speaker 1: I just my parents were divorced when I was six, and they didn't. 00:28:16 Speaker 2: Come to you and tell you that they were splitting or did you just notice that that lived somewhere else. 00:28:22 Speaker 4: I mean it was a show. 00:28:24 Speaker 5: That's a that's a different time back then too. Again, now you know, with everybody talks more and is more open with kids, I had to treat my daughters older than they were being a single dad. I'm still traveling for work. Although work was really nice to me on my travels. 00:28:38 Speaker 4: Kept for them. Who kept them when you were working? 00:28:40 Speaker 5: I got a h There was a gal that I had just come and stay at the house with and make sure they got to school. She worked ca So you know, I had a whole village helping them. I had a whole villy helping me out. 00:28:53 Speaker 3: So yeah, because you're good people. 00:28:55 Speaker 5: Thank you. We all aren no. That's what and that's what I would recommend. Also is is you know, just be there for him. It's gonna be tough times. They're not going to understand it, and so you're gonna have to You're you're gonna have to wait. 00:29:08 Speaker 2: What about when they question you, They're going to ask questions, right. 00:29:13 Speaker 5: But again, just it's bigger pictures. Don't don't get into the blame gam Once you get into the blame game, then. 00:29:20 Speaker 3: You yeah, because you're. 00:29:22 Speaker 5: Going to blame him. And then he's gonna go your mom said what because the kids will tell him? And then he said, your mom did this? The only thing is this your mom did No, it's not about who did what to who. 00:29:32 Speaker 1: Were But wait, let me say, let me ask a question because I remember I don't remember Susan, but Keith, when you said, you know, telling your kids you fall out of love. I don't know if my parents said that, but I remember feeling if they don't love each other, are they going to stop loving me? 00:29:55 Speaker 4: Uh? And and that was growing up, that was an always and is your for me? 00:30:00 Speaker 1: My parents? Do they love me? A lot of other things were going on, but that I just don't know. I mean, I don't know what. I think the age matters, but but you wouldn't want I wouldn't. 00:30:11 Speaker 3: It might be a little easier as they're older. 00:30:13 Speaker 5: I mean, my my youngest was six when I told her that's young. 00:30:17 Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how old I was. And then, uh, you know, and I was the younger. 00:30:22 Speaker 5: The other one. The other one to Nina is I don't know. You know the things you don't know? You know this. It's a simple question. But even though there's infidelity, I kind of doubt there's that they have a common bond that they consider. But if they if they're there for the kids and can sit in the same room and tell them together and do it nicely. 00:30:42 Speaker 2: I agree down as a family. Yes, And this has nothing to do with you. We love you and we're going to work this out. 00:30:52 Speaker 4: That's exactly well, I'm depressed. I want to go on to a one game. Now. This is depressing. 00:30:56 Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to have some fun teeth and this is about getting to know Okay, okay, so before we let. 00:31:04 Speaker 1: You go, we want to play little game well which you laugh before you say this, We're going to ask you. 00:31:09 Speaker 4: Something because we laugh a lot. Keith, nothing more nothing lest we laugh a lot. 00:31:13 Speaker 2: And this is so our listeners can get to know what we know. Okay, Cal, Okay, Kath, you want to read the first one. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: Okay, Keith, here we go. 00:31:23 Speaker 1: What is a favorite memory you have from when you were a teenager? 00:31:31 Speaker 5: Teenager? I guess so nineteen eighteen nineteen. I'm going to go in that until later because you know, high school was nice, but my core friend group came out of college and it was probably joining my fraternity and meeting the guys. I mean, we just. 00:31:50 Speaker 4: Had our fortieth Where did you go to college? 00:31:54 Speaker 5: Purdue? And as a fine delta data there my. 00:31:56 Speaker 1: Husband was fa Yeah, the stud by the stud So like I even told Jordan or some of the guys, you know. 00:32:05 Speaker 5: Even so, we just had our fortieth reunion in Manhattan Beach and fifteen out of twenty five guys show up. I mean, we're still typing to this day. 00:32:16 Speaker 3: That's your favorite memory, all right? 00:32:18 Speaker 5: And my favorite memory is my friends ships that I made, you know, right when I joined the fraternity. 00:32:22 Speaker 4: I love it, all right. 00:32:24 Speaker 3: What would yours? 00:32:25 Speaker 4: We're moving on, I don't want to talk about it. 00:32:28 Speaker 1: What would what would the title of your autobiography be Keith. 00:32:32 Speaker 5: I love my life. I love my perfect and that's my buddies give me a hard time, not a hard time. They just, you know, get a couple of glasses of wine in, maybe a bottle ended, and all of a sudden, I'm going to go. 00:32:45 Speaker 2: I love Okay, if you could bring back any fashion trend or old slang, what would it be? 00:32:53 Speaker 5: I like the bell Bottom, the whole freaking. 00:32:55 Speaker 4: Their back the program.
