<v Speaker 1>Misinformation Central Non Tender podcast featuring Yours truly. Wood Woodson <v Speaker 1>joined once again by blasting to the Maximus Maximilian. Yeah <v Speaker 1>I'm here. I just saw you, like fress, I was <v Speaker 1>afraid it was broken. Yeah, I'm joined by Max once again. <v Speaker 1>It is a gorgeously overcast day there. The sun is hiding, <v Speaker 1>just like our spirits, just like the hype for the switch. <v Speaker 1>We got a lot to talk about. Wow, that cut <v Speaker 1>out so abruptly. Sorry, No, you're fine, Just what you <v Speaker 1>know what? Around the time, I you know what? What <v Speaker 1>hit the intro? Let's do it. Let's hit that intro <v Speaker 1>if I can find the button. <v Speaker 2>All right? <v Speaker 1>So yeah, once again we have Max back. Thank you <v Speaker 1>so much for coming down all the way from Queens <v Speaker 1>the Queen's. I appreciate it. Kim is extremely, extremely pregnant. <v Speaker 1>Now I'll keep this very short because I know we're <v Speaker 1>all here for switch information. Had a hell of a morning. <v Speaker 1>She is so pregnant, like it could happen any day, <v Speaker 1>like we're getting the signs. I'm honestly, I'm anxious. The <v Speaker 1>last three yays, I've just been anxious because I feel <v Speaker 1>like I'm just we're packed and ready to go. That's <v Speaker 1>the time zone that we're in. And this morning we <v Speaker 1>woke up and Kim's hands had swollen up so much <v Speaker 1>that she couldn't get her rings off, and after much <v Speaker 1>struggle with dental floss and dishwashing liquid, we got all <v Speaker 1>but one off her wedding band. There was no shot <v Speaker 1>that was coming off, so right before Max got here, <v Speaker 1>we had to take her to the urgent and they <v Speaker 1>had to cut the ring off because it was getting <v Speaker 1>it was getting really tight. That's crazy. That's that's a <v Speaker 1>crazy morning you end. It was pretty uh, insane obviously <v Speaker 1>for Kim, but very pretty stressful. The last place you <v Speaker 1>want to go is urgent care right before you have <v Speaker 1>to go to the hospital at some point soon. Also, <v Speaker 1>it'll be funny. It won't be funny. It'll be funny <v Speaker 1>if next week we go live with the show again <v Speaker 1>and it still hasn't happened. It we're at the stage <v Speaker 1>where like we're getting early signs uh And apparently according <v Speaker 1>to Kim and her research, it means it could either <v Speaker 1>be tonight or it could be a month from now. <v Speaker 1>If the stream suddenly ends, you guys will know exactly <v Speaker 1>My phone is is glued to the table today and <v Speaker 1>I'm keeping a watchful eye on it. So yeah, that's <v Speaker 1>all of that. Let's dive in to all of this. <v Speaker 1>It's been a very stressful couple of weeks and I <v Speaker 1>don't I don't really know where to begin. We have <v Speaker 1>a whole dock with so much any things that I've pulled, <v Speaker 1>you guys have seen online, I'm sure there is so <v Speaker 1>much happening, and I'll say, off the rip, there are <v Speaker 1>a lot of conversations that are still completely valid and <v Speaker 1>they have been from the start. This is not running <v Speaker 1>defense on Nintendo. This is trying to get and cut <v Speaker 1>through a lot of the misinformation because what's happening right now, <v Speaker 1>I feel like is pretty clear is people are very <v Speaker 1>upset at the prices and Nintendo. What the terminology that <v Speaker 1>has been thrown around is greed, which is fair if <v Speaker 1>you feel that way, it is fair. And I immediately <v Speaker 1>day one day, ground one zero of that direct I <v Speaker 1>uploaded a video on my main channel talking about all <v Speaker 1>the price issues I had an issue with that I <v Speaker 1>think are issues, and I hope to see some of <v Speaker 1>those changed. But I think the insane not insane, but <v Speaker 1>I think the livid community of gamers are finding absolutely <v Speaker 1>anything to get upset about around Nintendo, and it's leading <v Speaker 1>to people like reading fine print of things and then <v Speaker 1>drawing their own correlations. I mean even Max walked in <v Speaker 1>today and was like, I heard that the game could <v Speaker 1>controller could only be used on the switch on Line app. <v Speaker 3>Which that would be crazy. I don't know why I <v Speaker 3>believe that that would that. <v Speaker 1>Was the case. So, I mean that was just one <v Speaker 1>and like we can pull up some things, but essentially <v Speaker 1>with that one, just to talk about that one, all <v Speaker 1>of these switch online controllers that come out, they have <v Speaker 1>the same terminology well find it, it's in here, but <v Speaker 1>essentially it reads this is to use with the switch <v Speaker 1>online app. So a lot of people took that as oh, <v Speaker 1>you can only use it with the switch on line app. <v Speaker 1>But these controllers that say that you can you can <v Speaker 1>use it on other things. I don't know how that works. <v Speaker 1>I think games might have to do like an update <v Speaker 1>to be like you can use it on this, right, <v Speaker 1>I don't think so. I think the buttons are one buttons, <v Speaker 1>just a one for one whatever it is. See this <v Speaker 1>is why it's a confusing whatever it is. It's the <v Speaker 1>same terminology on every box. Um, they're all sticking with <v Speaker 1>basic info and critiques. Yeah, well, I feel like so <v Speaker 1>someone will say something and then instantly every YouTuber will <v Speaker 1>make a video about it. And I've been trying really <v Speaker 1>hard to hold off on making any videos because I <v Speaker 1>made I made one about Zelder games, and in that one, <v Speaker 1>I had an arc in the video where I was like, <v Speaker 1>I think it's kind of nuts that they're charging you <v Speaker 1>ten dollars more for the Zelder Enhanced editions and then <v Speaker 1>locking all the extra content behind the app which you <v Speaker 1>have to subscribe to. And I was like, so we're <v Speaker 1>paying ten dollars more and the extra content is behind <v Speaker 1>another paywall, And I put out a whole video because <v Speaker 1>I just assumed that was the case, and then people <v Speaker 1>were like no, specifically, the Zelder notes app in the <v Speaker 1>Switch online app is free to use for everybody, and <v Speaker 1>I was like, Okay, well now now I've put out misinformation. <v Speaker 1>So I took video down immediately and I fixed it <v Speaker 1>all right, So we're gonna dive into a lot of that. <v Speaker 1>We're going to talk about a lot of that. The <v Speaker 1>people are also, Oh god, it's so there's so much. <v Speaker 1>There's so much. People are so angry online. I've been <v Speaker 1>dealing with people on Twitter anything anything somewhat nice I've <v Speaker 1>said about Nintendo, or somewhat understanding I've said, or anything <v Speaker 1>that came out of the switch to event that I <v Speaker 1>went to. People are having a hard time believing that <v Speaker 1>I was even a raffle winner. Like there are people <v Speaker 1>that are like, come on, Nintendo sent you. Nintendo sent <v Speaker 1>you and Bob to that open to the public day <v Speaker 1>where everybody else there was just a member of the public. <v Speaker 3>You were sent to that. Why would you lie? Like, <v Speaker 3>what's the benefit of lying? <v Speaker 1>The benefit the benefit of lying would be for me <v Speaker 1>to try and put out an image that I'm not <v Speaker 1>being my opinions not being swayed. Is me saying like, no, <v Speaker 1>my opinion's totally my own. Nintendo didn't send me to <v Speaker 1>that event, Okay, that would because what has come out <v Speaker 1>of all those influences going is they've pretty much all <v Speaker 1>said that this thing is cool, Like I Justine Casey, <v Speaker 1>nice stat Marcus Brownlee. They pretty much oh, like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>it's a nice piece of tech. It's a fun little <v Speaker 1>Nintendo console, right, But everybody is like, no, they must <v Speaker 1>be lying, which there's something happening here which is quite bizarre. <v Speaker 1>But totally understandable. The switch to is really nice. The <v Speaker 1>quality of it is really good. It's Nintendo. Everything they've <v Speaker 1>done is quality. Everything they make is quality. Even the WIU, <v Speaker 1>which bombed because it was a mess of a situation. <v Speaker 1>The actual console was quality. It just missed the mark. <v Speaker 1>You know. Everything they do is quality. And the screen <v Speaker 1>in person is fun. The screen in person is sick. <v Speaker 1>It's really nice, is clean, the HDR is popping. You're <v Speaker 1>getting colors out of that thing that I didn't see <v Speaker 1>on the lead. But there's obviously pros and cons to <v Speaker 1>not having an O lead, like the olead has better <v Speaker 1>blacks and better richness in the dark in the darker tones. <v Speaker 1>But all that aside that the actual console is nice. <v Speaker 1>But people are trying to find ways to trash the <v Speaker 1>console or say that the console is bad or that <v Speaker 1>it's crap, or that it could have been this, or <v Speaker 1>it could have been that, or the Steam Deck is <v Speaker 1>better because they're not happy with the price of like <v Speaker 1>Mario cut which I think we're just getting convoluted messages <v Speaker 1>and I don't think like trying to tell Nintendo, hey, <v Speaker 1>the console sucks when it doesn't is the right messaging. <v Speaker 1>It's if your opinion is it's expensive, then you say <v Speaker 1>I think it's expensive, and then you don't buy it. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I mean I think a lot of this might be <v Speaker 3>sort of just riding that snowball of like you know this, <v Speaker 3>you know they're trying to take our money. Oh now <v Speaker 3>this is only compatible with this situation. I just feel like, <v Speaker 3>I don't know, it's some sort of train. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. And I think the other thing people you really <v Speaker 1>have to look out for. And I'm telling you this <v Speaker 1>as a creator. I'm telling you this as a creator <v Speaker 1>because I already fell into the trap and I'm trying <v Speaker 1>not to do it. Negativity cells online like over the <v Speaker 1>last ten years, specifically especially on Twitter, but with all <v Speaker 1>social medias and YouTube and articles and outlets and anything <v Speaker 1>trying to get your attention, negativity cells, whatever harsh headline <v Speaker 1>they can give, whatever negative spin they can put on <v Speaker 1>something that's gonna get the clicks and not the positive. <v Speaker 1>Cause someone could make one hundred videos talking about how <v Speaker 1>great this thing is, but that gets old pretty quickly <v Speaker 1>and people just really aren't that interested. What they want <v Speaker 1>to hear is why does it suck? Why am I <v Speaker 1>getting ripped off? What's happening now? And so YouTubers and <v Speaker 1>content creators and outlets, they're gonna put the most negative <v Speaker 1>spin on everything. They're going to try and find the <v Speaker 1>next negative thing, and you're gonna get sucked in, and <v Speaker 1>you're gonna either believe it I be real, or you're <v Speaker 1>gonna believe a twisted version of it based on a headline. <v Speaker 1>And I fell into the same trap recently. I made <v Speaker 1>that Zelda video. I thought they were charging you for <v Speaker 1>the online app. So my initial thumbnail was me looking <v Speaker 1>upset with prices all over the thumbnail, me making it <v Speaker 1>look like, look how bad it is, Look how ripped <v Speaker 1>off we're getting. And then I was like, oh, I'm okay, <v Speaker 1>I'm wrong. So I changed it to me looking happier <v Speaker 1>and having a more positive vibe, and I was like, <v Speaker 1>you know what, I'm gonna wait. I'm gonna wait until <v Speaker 1>this thing comes out. You know, I'm gonna wait until <v Speaker 1>we see more about Mario kar I'm gonna wait until <v Speaker 1>we find out more and we actually get these things <v Speaker 1>in our hands. Then trying to read fine print on <v Speaker 1>a box or on the back of a cover to <v Speaker 1>make my opinions and then try and get people are <v Speaker 1>pissed off and riled up. <v Speaker 3>I mean, it's only been how many days, eight days <v Speaker 3>since we got the announcement and got the the not <v Speaker 3>the announcement, but the direct. So I feel like, let's <v Speaker 3>let's let let's let the information catch up to us. <v Speaker 3>You know, we're still learn a lot about the details. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, things are happening so quickly and people are finding things, <v Speaker 1>and the information is vague one hundred percent, No, you're <v Speaker 1>one hundred percent. We've got a super chat for two <v Speaker 1>from sent The information is vague. But it's also because <v Speaker 1>they did an hour direct and they kind of kept <v Speaker 1>things to like here's this, here's this, here's this, here's this, <v Speaker 1>And I don't know if they knew like, oh, we <v Speaker 1>should probably clarify about the GameCube controller, or we should <v Speaker 1>probably clarify about blah blah blah, because I mean, they've <v Speaker 1>released a bunch of these controllers now and I don't <v Speaker 1>think they ever really clarified what you can use it on. <v Speaker 1>People were just excited to buy the game. People were <v Speaker 1>excited to buy the sixty four controller. It could have <v Speaker 1>been only for that app and people would were fine, <v Speaker 1>and then you get it and you find out, oh, <v Speaker 1>I can use it here I can use it there, <v Speaker 1>I probably won't because it's a sixty four controller and <v Speaker 1>I'm just going to use a pro controller, right But <v Speaker 1>people bought this excited and then tender, we're like, okay, <v Speaker 1>now we're going to do a GameCube one. And because <v Speaker 1>everyone is livid right now, they're like, why does the <v Speaker 1>fine print say that I can only use it in <v Speaker 1>the GameCube? Ap Like Jesus, I just feel like people, uh, <v Speaker 1>just angry. They're just angry right now. <v Speaker 3>And given the option, why would you use an N <v Speaker 3>sixty four controller and a non and sixty four game <v Speaker 3>the sixty four controller. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I get why people want to use the GameCube, <v Speaker 1>but also the GameCube buttons are wacky. They're like, it's <v Speaker 1>it's you got to try and really get your head. <v Speaker 1>If you want to play a normal game with this, <v Speaker 1>with where the positioning of the B, A and X <v Speaker 1>Y button is, it's going to do your head in <v Speaker 1>because they're not in the position that they're supposed to <v Speaker 1>be in for normal games. But that's beside the point. Obviously, <v Speaker 1>you know, we want it to be able to be <v Speaker 1>used like a normal controller, and it might be let's <v Speaker 1>get it, stick it in, see what it does you know. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>let's do it all right. I'm kind of just ranting, <v Speaker 1>and I don't really know where to begin. But we <v Speaker 1>do have like a whole dock of things. If you <v Speaker 1>see anything in the chat you think it's worth mentioning <v Speaker 1>or any like chat super chats of anything, you got it. <v Speaker 3>If you want to get to the GameCube controller stuff, <v Speaker 3>that's number eighteen, Okay, we can get to that. <v Speaker 1>I don't know what we've pulled here. <v Speaker 4>Uh. <v Speaker 1>And if it's like the evidence in reverse or it's <v Speaker 1>just the the article of saying that it, I mean <v Speaker 1>this is we can show this, but this says then <v Speaker 1>t to switch to gamecub controller appears to only be <v Speaker 1>compatible with GameCube classics according to the small print. And <v Speaker 1>again that's also what the other controllers said. And I <v Speaker 1>think this terminology is from Nintendo to be like, we've <v Speaker 1>designed this thing to work with the app. If you <v Speaker 1>want to use it for anything else, you probably can. <v Speaker 1>But we can't quality We can't quantity check or quality <v Speaker 1>quality check. We can't quality check that experience. Yeah, is there? <v Speaker 3>Does the GameCube controller have the same amount of buttons? <v Speaker 3>It's like a switch controller. <v Speaker 1>M that's another good point I think it's more in <v Speaker 1>different positions. But this is what I'm talking about here. <v Speaker 1>So the IGN tweet that blew up with three thousand likes, <v Speaker 1>the Nintendo switch to gameque controller pissed are only be <v Speaker 1>compatible with gamecued classics according to fineprint. And then you <v Speaker 1>see you'll probably see comments like this first one, the <v Speaker 1>like you guys mentally stable right now? Why are you <v Speaker 1>guys making such stupid decisions all of a sudden? Then <v Speaker 1>you go to the article and you actually read it <v Speaker 1>down here. As VGC notes, it's worth considering that other <v Speaker 1>Nintendo controllers with similar disclaimers have not been fully limited. <v Speaker 1>Players have been able to make retro controllers work. We're applicable. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>so what are we talking about? Yeah? <v Speaker 4>What? <v Speaker 1>And this is just what I mean. At the start <v Speaker 1>of this episode, a tweet will go out with a <v Speaker 1>headline like this because IGN knows it's going to piss <v Speaker 1>people off, because IGN wants the clicks and the likes, <v Speaker 1>and they want you to come to the article, but <v Speaker 1>no one's going to read. No one ever reads. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I mean, this is a media thing that's been around forever, <v Speaker 1>and I mean, thank you at least IGN for putting <v Speaker 1>this in here at the very end of getting everybody <v Speaker 1>pissed off. But at least it's in here, you know, <v Speaker 1>and like, yeah, maybe maybe it won't, maybe it won't, <v Speaker 1>Like I'm not saying it will. Maybe it won't. Maybe <v Speaker 1>it'll come out. Maybe let's find out. Because the other <v Speaker 1>one said the same thing and they do. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think it's a one for one controller type situation. <v Speaker 3>I use my S and E S controllers for Scott <v Speaker 3>Pilgrim and they work fine. Like the Scott Pilgrim Beat <v Speaker 3>Them Up game, that's a sick way to play that. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>it's very fun. It's very fun, and they work fine. <v Speaker 3>The only thing that's frustrating is like the home button, <v Speaker 3>Like how do you get to the home page when <v Speaker 3>you need to? So I feel like they put in that, <v Speaker 3>you know that that fine print to me because. <v Speaker 1>They can't quality check every experience. They can't play every <v Speaker 1>game on the console with the thing. It's like this <v Speaker 1>is for this, Yeah, if you want to use it <v Speaker 1>for that, it might work. It might work. We don't know. <v Speaker 1>There's so let's pull up next. Let's go to what <v Speaker 1>Bowser said, because that one legitimately annoyed me, and I <v Speaker 1>think that that's a good one to cut too. Oh sorry, yeah, no, <v Speaker 1>you're fine. I haven't got it yet. Do you know <v Speaker 1>what number it is? No? <v Speaker 3>Sorry, if you do, like control F and then Doug <v Speaker 3>Bowser on price, Yeah, that's that's it, this one. <v Speaker 1>Anything that say, Sam, that's so to be fair, let's <v Speaker 1>let's I think everything I've said right now is relatively fair. <v Speaker 1>But to be fair, I know I'm a Nintendo creator. <v Speaker 1>I know it's my whole career. I really I really <v Speaker 1>do need this thing to be successful, right, So I <v Speaker 1>have invested interest in that way, right, But at the <v Speaker 1>same time, I've always tried to be incredibly unbiased in <v Speaker 1>all of my content. I have made videos. I destroyed <v Speaker 1>my relationship with Nintendo for so many reasons, but I <v Speaker 1>made videos trashing on Dino Bla two when I stand <v Speaker 1>by that to this day. There's other videos that I recently, <v Speaker 1>very recently trashed Mario and Luigi Brothership, Like does it <v Speaker 1>behoove me to pretend like these games are the like <v Speaker 1>Nintendo's do everything incredible? Yeah? Sure, I mean I could <v Speaker 1>have said Mario is great, everybody go buy it. There's <v Speaker 1>a link so you can go buy on GameStop and <v Speaker 1>I get commissioned. No, I said it was bad because <v Speaker 1>it's bad. I try really hard to be unbiased. I <v Speaker 1>think this thing is sick. I think eighty dollars for <v Speaker 1>Mario Ka is insane, especially from Nintendo. And I think <v Speaker 1>that this is also one that really bothered me. And <v Speaker 1>there are people you can cut to it now. There <v Speaker 1>are people on two sides of this fence. Some people <v Speaker 1>don't think it's as bad as it seems. I think <v Speaker 1>the terminology that he used is different, but it equates <v Speaker 1>to the same thing. So I'm going to try and <v Speaker 1>find the actual quote here. But what is happening is <v Speaker 1>oh wait, no, the quotes right here. So Doug Bowser <v Speaker 1>on Nintendo switches to price, So he was asked about <v Speaker 1>the price. People are having issues with the price. He <v Speaker 1>mentioned how tariffs aren't included in this. This was the <v Speaker 1>price that they were always going to set. Some people <v Speaker 1>may not be able to afford the switch to his <v Speaker 1>price point. That's why we wanted to make the other <v Speaker 1>switch platforms available. This sucks. I hate that he said that. <v Speaker 1>So this is something that I've talked about a lot <v Speaker 1>in my channel over the years, the Xbox One's failure. <v Speaker 1>It's something I've always found very fascinating because you probably <v Speaker 1>you won't be able to see, but Max can attest <v Speaker 1>from two of these sections of switch games. There's two <v Speaker 1>of those of Xbox three sixty games. I loved the <v Speaker 1>Xbox three sixty. I was a big Xbox stan and <v Speaker 1>I wasn't really into PlayStation in that generation, and I <v Speaker 1>was very excited for the Xbox One. And they were <v Speaker 1>so many things that botched that launch, and so many <v Speaker 1>things that we can draw correlations to what Nintendo were <v Speaker 1>literally botching right now with this launch. And one thing <v Speaker 1>that happened during that was this guy called Dawn. I <v Speaker 1>can't remember his last name, but he was the president <v Speaker 1>of business at Microsoft at the time. He came out <v Speaker 1>and said very smugly, which rubbed people the wrong way. <v Speaker 1>If there are people that don't have Internet or they <v Speaker 1>don't think they can use the new Xbox One, we <v Speaker 1>have a product for them, and it's called the Xbox <v Speaker 1>three sixty. That was his exact words. And it was like, okay, <v Speaker 1>then we won't buy it. Yeah, you know, and this <v Speaker 1>he said it differently. I mean for him, he's kind <v Speaker 1>of saying like it's all the same ecosystem. I see <v Speaker 1>if I can pull up the actual thing. If you <v Speaker 1>can't afford it, It's almost like he was saying it <v Speaker 1>in a way with more care, like if you can't <v Speaker 1>afford it, it's okay, We're going to support the old ones. <v Speaker 1>Still moving forward. You can still be part of that ecosystem. <v Speaker 1>But it is just not a good sign. I think <v Speaker 1>that in the midst of people being very upset with you, <v Speaker 1>which is what the Xbox situation was, to say, well, <v Speaker 1>if you can't afford it, if you're a broke boy, <v Speaker 1>just say so. Here is the original. <v Speaker 3>It's giving let them eat cake, you know what I mean? <v Speaker 3>What's that the Antoinette Marie Antoinette quote where she's they <v Speaker 3>were like, Marie Antoinette, you know the people of France <v Speaker 3>can't afford bread. She says, let the meat cake because <v Speaker 3>she has no idea like how cake is made. <v Speaker 1>That's actually funny and yeah, that's that equates. And by <v Speaker 1>the way, that Dune guy from Microsoft, he was LEO <v Speaker 1>a month later like it was that bad, like what <v Speaker 1>he said, like it destroyed the image at the time. <v Speaker 1>I mean, their image was already really bad, but that <v Speaker 1>was like a rubbing it in. People did not want <v Speaker 1>anything to do with Microsoft at that point, and they <v Speaker 1>had to replace I think Phil Spencer took over from <v Speaker 1>I think someone took over, and yeah, they changed everything. <v Speaker 1>So Xbox was like, I don't know if you remember this, <v Speaker 1>so you know about this, but they were trying to <v Speaker 1>make it so you couldn't share games physical or digital. <v Speaker 1>They were locked to accounts, you had to be on <v Speaker 1>the internet at all times. They had to connect, which <v Speaker 1>was forced, and you had to pay for it. It <v Speaker 1>would be like if Nintendo were forcing you to buy <v Speaker 1>their camera. Also, it's not great that both these comparisons <v Speaker 1>have a new camera. Yeah, well, yeah, it's weird. I've <v Speaker 1>been really championing, championing, championing this launch for a long <v Speaker 1>time and literally saying repeatedly, I don't see how they <v Speaker 1>could fail. I am now seeing how they could fail. Like, <v Speaker 1>there's a lot of misinformation and I'm going to get <v Speaker 1>to more, but a lot of what they're doing is <v Speaker 1>really scaring me because the public image is not great. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think the public image is not great, but <v Speaker 3>I still think that they're going to make a good product. <v Speaker 1>Oh, the product's great, that's not the issue. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>the issue. And here's here's another thing, here's another tangent, <v Speaker 1>and we can get to I want to get back <v Speaker 1>to this article because he said something else. We pretty <v Speaker 1>much all agreed immediately that four p fifty is fine. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>like we all expected it to be more expensive if <v Speaker 1>you didn't you want following my content, but also a <v Speaker 1>little crazy. A lot of us thought four hundred, but <v Speaker 1>four point fifty makes sense when you see what they're offering, <v Speaker 1>the quality of the build, HDR in the screen, one <v Speaker 1>hundred and twenty, frame capability, four K. This is everything <v Speaker 1>we've been asking for them for eight years. And those <v Speaker 1>things aren't free. Those things don't come cheap, you know, <v Speaker 1>and it's you know, it's quality, you know it's Nintendo, <v Speaker 1>and you know that you're going to have this one <v Speaker 1>console for the next eight years. Right, So a lot <v Speaker 1>of that, a lot of us can break down in <v Speaker 1>our heads and be like, Okay, console prices were usually <v Speaker 1>pretty flexible on you can't come out at six hundred. <v Speaker 1>But I think four point fifty is still just in <v Speaker 1>that realm of being acceptable for most people. And I <v Speaker 1>thought it was a decent price. Would have liked four hundred, <v Speaker 1>but again I didn't expect HDR one hundred and twenty frames. <v Speaker 1>So we're there, we got it. But from a company <v Speaker 1>that up until this point in this last generation specifically <v Speaker 1>have made themselves a name and a fan base from <v Speaker 1>having the affordable games and the affordable experience to not <v Speaker 1>only up the price of the console, but choose this <v Speaker 1>moment to tell us that they're doing variable pricing on <v Speaker 1>games and Mario Cutt's going to be eighty dollars, So <v Speaker 1>now all of a sudden are affordable. Nintendo Fun Place <v Speaker 1>has become the most expensive place to buy video games. <v Speaker 1>That's a harsh handbreak tone, while you're also asking people <v Speaker 1>to spend four fifty on a console. And the thing <v Speaker 1>that scares me the most here about this is the <v Speaker 1>three DS, the Xbox One, and the WIU. They all <v Speaker 1>failed for different reasons, but one main reason that was <v Speaker 1>attributed to all of them was high price. So if <v Speaker 1>Nintendo were coming out with a high priced console for <v Speaker 1>them and at the same time knowing that's what has <v Speaker 1>led to two of their previous failures, to also high <v Speaker 1>price the games and so also nickel and dime on <v Speaker 1>something that should be packing is very scary. I feel like, <v Speaker 1>in a very bold move, Why is your face lighting up. <v Speaker 3>Oh, I'm just I just didn't want that sound to <v Speaker 3>happen again. Sorry, what's sounds Oh, it's just we got <v Speaker 3>a little notification on the phone. <v Speaker 1>Don't worry about it. It's fine what happened. <v Speaker 3>Don't make a big deal about it. If it was <v Speaker 3>to be a big deal. It was just we got <v Speaker 3>a little notification, and it bothered me that it interrupted <v Speaker 3>your beautiful saying. We have a super chat that I <v Speaker 3>think a lot of people are responding to. <v Speaker 1>And I'm not trying to be negative, guys. I have <v Speaker 1>a lot of positive and I want to address a <v Speaker 1>lot of misinformation. I know it sounds like I'm on <v Speaker 1>a tangent right now, and a lot of us are <v Speaker 1>still really excited for it, and I'm going to get <v Speaker 1>to that. <v Speaker 3>But yes, Kewie, I'm not going to try to pronounce that. <v Speaker 3>I'm sorry, dude. But basically, they said with five dollars, <v Speaker 3>they said, But what should have Douger have said? I <v Speaker 3>didn't think it was that bad as people are saying. <v Speaker 3>A lot of people are kind of going against what <v Speaker 3>he's saying. But I kind of see what he means. <v Speaker 3>I mean, I'm not sure what Doug Bowser could have <v Speaker 3>said that would have made people happy. But I'm interested <v Speaker 3>in you know, your take. <v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know. I mean, I'm not <v Speaker 1>a I'm not a PM management marketing guy. Well, what <v Speaker 1>would you wanted him to say? It's a good it's <v Speaker 1>a good point. Yeah, I don't really know what you <v Speaker 1>can say in amidst everybody being really upset. For me, <v Speaker 1>it's just I wouldn't say don't buy it, because that's <v Speaker 1>how it's coming across, like, hey, if you can't afford it, <v Speaker 1>don't get it. We already have something for you. It's <v Speaker 1>just for me that didn't work with Xbox. And I <v Speaker 1>think that's why I personally would be really afraid to <v Speaker 1>say that again because of how upset people got last time. <v Speaker 1>When people have legitimate concerns or issues over things like <v Speaker 1>the price of Mario being eighty in a packing game <v Speaker 1>not being free and charging for a button on the controller, <v Speaker 1>rather than I guess what I would do is I <v Speaker 1>would just really try to explain why those things cost <v Speaker 1>the way they do. But when people are this upset <v Speaker 1>and like the group mentality is it's too much. Even <v Speaker 1>people that are excited are like, yeah, some of these <v Speaker 1>things are too much. I would try and explain why <v Speaker 1>their price the way they are, and not say if <v Speaker 1>you can't afford it, don't at it in any context. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I think that's and again I said this at the start. <v Speaker 1>I think he said it in the nicest, most caring <v Speaker 1>way possible, and it seemed to come from a place <v Speaker 1>close to his heart where he meant it in the <v Speaker 1>nicest way, like, hey, if you can't afford this, we're <v Speaker 1>going to keep supporting the switch. And the way that <v Speaker 1>Don said it sucked. The way Don said it was <v Speaker 1>so smug and very different messaging behind it. It honestly <v Speaker 1>felt like like stop your bitching, you know, just keep <v Speaker 1>the old thing. But the sentiment is the same. Unfortunately, <v Speaker 1>it's we get that it's too expensive, we get that <v Speaker 1>you're not happy with the price, don't buy it if <v Speaker 1>you can't afford it. <v Speaker 3>I just think overall, I think that yeah, it shouldn't <v Speaker 3>be kind of like, you shouldn't even mention, oh, if <v Speaker 3>you can't afford it, don't get it. <v Speaker 1>That shouldn't be r I think, especially having something in <v Speaker 1>recent history to compare it to, and surely they're aware <v Speaker 1>of that. I think you just try and justify why <v Speaker 1>things are the way they are, Like, why is game <v Speaker 1>chat twenty Like, tell us, maybe there's service space that <v Speaker 1>you have to pay for, Maybe there's some reason there. <v Speaker 1>Why is Mario Cut eighty? You're saying, and I want <v Speaker 1>to try and find it in here, but essentially to <v Speaker 1>boil it down, and sorry to misquote, he's saying that <v Speaker 1>some games are like bigger and we like work hard <v Speaker 1>on these games, so we price them. We're going to <v Speaker 1>be pricing them variably. We're gonna decide what we think <v Speaker 1>a game depending on how we've worked on it is worth. <v Speaker 1>Tell us why Mario Cut's worth eighty? Then, because I <v Speaker 1>gotta be honest with you. I love Mario Kart and <v Speaker 1>I played it and it was fun. From what I played, <v Speaker 1>it was fun ish. They they had the automatic steering <v Speaker 1>on and they wouldn't let you turn it off. It <v Speaker 1>was like baked in for the demo interesting and I <v Speaker 1>don't know if you've ever tried playing Mario Kart with <v Speaker 1>that on. It sucks. And all the gameplay that came <v Speaker 1>out of that event, people are like, why does the <v Speaker 1>driving look so boring? It's because you can't drive. It's <v Speaker 1>automatically driving. <v Speaker 3>I saw one clip of somebody playing and they did <v Speaker 3>not drift the entire time. <v Speaker 1>I so the whole thing that you can grind on <v Speaker 1>the side of the courses and stuff, but with the <v Speaker 1>automatic drift on, it'll pull you away to stop you <v Speaker 1>from hitting the side of the course. So I could <v Speaker 1>not do any of the grinding. And I was like <v Speaker 1>can I can I turn And he's like no, because <v Speaker 1>some people don't know how to play, and I'm like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>it was very bizarre. I mean, it is kind of <v Speaker 1>baby mode to turn out. So I mean, I played it, <v Speaker 1>but I couldn't. I played it for five minutes and <v Speaker 1>it was hard to I was when I was playing <v Speaker 1>Mario Cut two. I was more like looking at the <v Speaker 1>screen and the HDR and the quality of like the <v Speaker 1>new visuals. It was hard for me to actually assess. <v Speaker 1>But I wasn't really seeing the eighty dollars, I'll be honest, <v Speaker 1>Like over other Mario cuts, I know there's like eighty <v Speaker 1>something characters in this one. It's in a big open world, <v Speaker 1>but as far as I could tell, the open world <v Speaker 1>was just there to be there, like you could it's <v Speaker 1>cool and you can drive to the courses, but like <v Speaker 1>I just don't know what makes this eighty. I don't know. <v Speaker 1>If I saw, like almost Tears of the Kingdom, I <v Speaker 1>would say is almost eighty. Like if they were to <v Speaker 1>try and justify Tears of the Kingdom to eighty, to me, <v Speaker 1>I could almost be like, I, you know, I kind <v Speaker 1>of get it, but this Mario cart I don't think <v Speaker 1>they've done anything to actually justify the eighty yet. Personally, <v Speaker 1>I mean, it's a slippery slope. <v Speaker 3>I mean, I don't know why games need to be <v Speaker 3>priced so high in general. I mean, movies are still <v Speaker 3>priced a certain way. <v Speaker 1>I mean I know that. <v Speaker 3>I guess movies are like dictated by the two hour mark, <v Speaker 3>and you surely you want to play a video game <v Speaker 3>for more than two hours. But I mean, I just <v Speaker 3>think it becomes a slippery slope, you know. <v Speaker 1>I think it's slippery as well. And it's also like <v Speaker 1>a weird imaging thing too, because like Donkey Kong is seventy, <v Speaker 1>So what are you telling us Donkey Kong's not good? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>like it was weird what happened to Donkey Kong? That <v Speaker 1>it's not an eighty dollar game? <v Speaker 3>And would it be such a huge loss for them <v Speaker 3>to be like, hey, this is our first game. <v Speaker 1>Let's make it a little cheaper. Yeah, you know, it's <v Speaker 1>our first game. Make it seventy. And again it's let's <v Speaker 1>make it fifty or sixty or whatever the average price. <v Speaker 1>It's I don't say. And here's another thing too, And <v Speaker 1>this is why people are calling it greed. And I <v Speaker 1>do understand this. We all would have been fine with <v Speaker 1>them going up to seventy, you know, we expected it. <v Speaker 1>The industry went up to seventy several months to a <v Speaker 1>year ago. PlayStation five and Xbox went up to seventy. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo held out until like a new generation, like the <v Speaker 1>other consoles did admit generation. So for a lot of people, <v Speaker 1>it would have sucked, you know, them going to seventy. <v Speaker 1>But at the same time, it's almost like thank you, <v Speaker 1>thank you Nintendo for waiting at least, you know, waiting <v Speaker 1>out the switch and then starting it. But rather than <v Speaker 1>doing that, they jumped straight to eighty with the first <v Speaker 1>game that the first company to do it. Nintendo, the <v Speaker 1>people that have been you know, so affordable on prices, <v Speaker 1>like and I get their prices don't come down on <v Speaker 1>their games, but we also forgive that because we're like, well, <v Speaker 1>the game's so quality. It's always worth what it's worth <v Speaker 1>if they give them for so much, And they could <v Speaker 1>have released a four hundred and fifty dollars console and <v Speaker 1>seventy dollars games and be riding it all home to <v Speaker 1>the bank, but instead they Sorry, I was supposed to <v Speaker 1>be talking about misinformation, and now I'm I'm I'm paranoid <v Speaker 1>because a lot of what they're doing doesn't sit right <v Speaker 1>with me either. And I'm I really I'm excited for <v Speaker 1>this console, just like I was excited for the WU <v Speaker 1>back in the day because it's the next Nintendo thing <v Speaker 1>and I'm a Nintendo guy and I can't wait. But <v Speaker 1>I'm paranoid that they're wuing this again. I don't think <v Speaker 1>it's going to get that crazy. I mean, because I <v Speaker 1>feel like the WU was kind of like a subpar <v Speaker 1>product at the end of the day. I feel like <v Speaker 1>that's what the problem was. It was. I feel like <v Speaker 1>hardware wise, it was it was underperforming. <v Speaker 3>Yes, And I feel like, you know, worst case, absolute <v Speaker 3>worst case scenario. I don't think they're going to be <v Speaker 3>at a loss because they could always lower the price. <v Speaker 1>That is true, and with the three ds they did that. <v Speaker 1>Do you know about that yeah, no, exactly. <v Speaker 3>That's what I'm referring, who ultimately is not like they <v Speaker 3>could pull another three DS. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, the three DS uh came at an ex <v Speaker 1>exorbitant I've had a hard time saying words. I got <v Speaker 1>pregnancy brain. Came at a larger price than you would expect, <v Speaker 1>and also it didn't have many games at launch and <v Speaker 1>didn't have really any third party support, and people were <v Speaker 1>confused about the three D gimmick and it bombed. And <v Speaker 1>then several months later, I don't know how long after <v Speaker 1>I think it was in the first year window, Nintendo <v Speaker 1>drastically dropped the price, offered a bunch of free games, <v Speaker 1>and they saved it. Essentially, it went from a failure <v Speaker 1>console to selling about seventy five million, and everyone loves <v Speaker 1>the three DS now. A lot of people don't even <v Speaker 1>realize it actually had a dismal launch, and if Nintendo <v Speaker 1>stick to their guns here, it could the same thing <v Speaker 1>could happen. They might need to and we're not even <v Speaker 1>talking about tariffs and all these delays yet, which there's <v Speaker 1>a lot of misinformation about that, which to that effect. <v Speaker 1>I don't blame people because it's very confusing and it's <v Speaker 1>constantly changing yeah, star and stopping and starting and stopping. <v Speaker 3>And I mean, you know, if you go buy the <v Speaker 3>stock market, I mean, any little thing in the stock <v Speaker 3>market happens every the big change happens, you know, with <v Speaker 3>the ups and downs. So it's I feel like you <v Speaker 3>can't be looking at that either. <v Speaker 1>It's a stressful time. It's a scary time. And a <v Speaker 1>lot of people now are like, as you're watching this, <v Speaker 1>if you're watching this in the future, he just extended <v Speaker 1>the tariffs by ninety days or something, and now people <v Speaker 1>are getting excited again because they're like, ooh, the switch <v Speaker 1>to launch falls in that window. I don't think it matters. <v Speaker 1>I don't think that's enough. Nintendo need to plan for <v Speaker 1>the long haul here. They could try and maybe squeeze <v Speaker 1>out a launch and then up the price later, but <v Speaker 1>they could also just delay the whole thing because ninety <v Speaker 1>days it's it's very soon for something that they want <v Speaker 1>to like do like a ten year release for They <v Speaker 1>can't rush something in ninety days not knowing what's going <v Speaker 1>to happen for the next decade. <v Speaker 3>I mean, we can talk about the pausing of pre order. <v Speaker 3>I mean, that's stuffy. <v Speaker 1>Stuff's directly related to the terriffs. Yeah, I mean, yeah, <v Speaker 1>they paused the pre orders and then also Canada had <v Speaker 1>to deal with pausing pre orders too. What did they do? <v Speaker 1>Canada is having to deal with our crappy government. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, somebody was like, because of their their president, I <v Speaker 3>have to wait for my switch. <v Speaker 1>That sucks. I feel bad for you. Also, I feel <v Speaker 1>bad for me because that was my backup plan. You <v Speaker 1>got some Canadian friends. Yeah, Nintendo pause that too, and uh, <v Speaker 1>I mean, unfortunately it makes sense on Nintendo side because <v Speaker 1>with essentially it's all North America, right, and so they <v Speaker 1>want to time the release across the continent. They don't <v Speaker 1>just want to, you know, they want to They want <v Speaker 1>to time that. And also I'm sure it creates other <v Speaker 1>conflicts with now Americans going and trying to buy it <v Speaker 1>from Canada, which is probably going to mess up their <v Speaker 1>everything in their back ends. Like I don't it's just confusing, <v Speaker 1>and I'm sure that's why they did it. Let's so. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Finally, on Doug Bowser and the price, So if you <v Speaker 1>don't know, Doug Brown, Bowser essentially said that they're doing <v Speaker 1>variable pricing, so every game is going to have a <v Speaker 1>variable price eighty dollars, right, now is the highest. I mean, <v Speaker 1>we only really have that, and I guess Donkey Kong, <v Speaker 1>which is seventy. You can't really look at anything else <v Speaker 1>as a good example, like I know we have some <v Speaker 1>other eighties, but it's because like Tiers of the Kingdom <v Speaker 1>gets an upgrade for ten, it's not a new game. <v Speaker 1>Breath of the Wild gets an upgrade. Also, there's another <v Speaker 1>weird thing with Breath of the Wild. So there was <v Speaker 1>a lot of misinformation around the Breath of the Wild <v Speaker 1>and Tiers of the Kingdom cuts. For a long time. <v Speaker 1>People were really upset. I don't know if we have <v Speaker 1>that in here, do we It's physical, yes, somewhere, let <v Speaker 1>me see if I can find it. Essentially, if you <v Speaker 1>can find it, let me know, give me the number. <v Speaker 1>But essentially people were thinking, according to oh, I actually <v Speaker 1>I found it. I got it. You can, you can, <v Speaker 1>you can show so you're not gonna be able to <v Speaker 1>read this fine print. But again this was a case <v Speaker 1>of people reading fine print and drawing conclusions before this <v Speaker 1>stuff is actually here. So if I can, I know, <v Speaker 1>I'm flip flopping on being angry and also being angry <v Speaker 1>at people who are angry. It's a confusing time hear <v Speaker 1>me out, there's a lot going on. This is more <v Speaker 1>of people reading fine print and drawing their own conclusions, <v Speaker 1>and this stuff, I feel like, is what's distracting from <v Speaker 1>the actual issue and situation. And people were reading this <v Speaker 1>and assuming that the Switch To Enhanced Edition games are <v Speaker 1>just the original Switch version and they don't have any <v Speaker 1>of the enhanced stuff on it, and you have to <v Speaker 1>put that in and then you download it, so you're <v Speaker 1>rebuying the same game essentially, which, to be honest, it's <v Speaker 1>kind of apples and oranges, really, but it would be nice, <v Speaker 1>I guess if I had to choose a preference if <v Speaker 1>the cut had the download stuff on it already, And <v Speaker 1>a Nintendo spokesperson confirms this was as of today that <v Speaker 1>well at least this tweet was today, that physical Switch <v Speaker 1>To Edition games have the original Switch game and the <v Speaker 1>upgrade pack the same game card, no download code, no <v Speaker 1>download required, exclusively Switched to game cards. And I guarantee <v Speaker 1>you there's ign Kotaku whatever articles from the last week <v Speaker 1>saying that this wasn't the case, or at least implying <v Speaker 1>it based on the thing here, which is just more <v Speaker 1>stuff that's like I know it feels like Nintendo's making <v Speaker 1>all these really bad decisions. But if we can focus, <v Speaker 1>the bad decisions are the price, Yeah, like it's the price. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Everything else is a lot of stuff. We're going to <v Speaker 1>have to wait and see. Although I'm gonna flip flop <v Speaker 1>and come back on your site now. Although the Breath <v Speaker 1>of the Wild addition, yeah, doesn't have the Breath of <v Speaker 1>the Wild DLC on it, so you'd have to download <v Speaker 1>it when it comes out. You're saying, well, yes, but <v Speaker 1>also if you don't have it already, it means you <v Speaker 1>have to buy it. That's crazy. So this Breath of <v Speaker 1>the Wild game that came out in twenty eighteen, it <v Speaker 1>had a bunch of DLC, right, It had like a <v Speaker 1>Master Sore trial mode that you could go and do. <v Speaker 1>It had a motorbike. Did you play any of that? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I think I played the motorbike. Okay. It added like <v Speaker 1>a whole heap of content. Yeah, this is just the <v Speaker 1>base game. That's crazy. Which that is actually bananas. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>like you can't add that. Like, it's very clear. See, <v Speaker 1>I'm back on your side. We're back. We're gonna be <v Speaker 1>flip flopping a lot today. It's very clear that Nintendo. <v Speaker 1>And this is something that I don't know if it's <v Speaker 1>in here. Do we have the thing in here about <v Speaker 1>Reggie and the Wii Sports. No, I'll just paraphrase. So <v Speaker 1>this is something that Kit and Christer I think talked about. <v Speaker 1>It's circling back around again right now, but back with <v Speaker 1>the Wei Apparently it was Reggie that championed putting we <v Speaker 1>Sports in the Wii box as a pack in game. <v Speaker 1>He thought that should be a free game, and insanely, <v Speaker 1>what a great idea, by the way, I mean, that <v Speaker 1>was a large key reason don't worry about it, a <v Speaker 1>large key reason why we used Launch was so successful, <v Speaker 1>and everyone has great memories of playing the Wii and <v Speaker 1>the Wei Sports. That was his idea. Because Nintendo's idea <v Speaker 1>has apparently always been and to some extent it makes <v Speaker 1>sense until they go overboard with it. If we've worked <v Speaker 1>on something, no one should get it for free. Like <v Speaker 1>if we've developed something, if we've made something, then no <v Speaker 1>matter what it is, no one should get that thing <v Speaker 1>for free. It's not like a great mentality, but I <v Speaker 1>get that you want to get paid for what you're <v Speaker 1>working on. It's just in some cases it is nice <v Speaker 1>to get things for free, and it makes sense to <v Speaker 1>get things for free. Obviously, an instructional pamphlet video game <v Speaker 1>for a console that you're already spending four hundred and <v Speaker 1>fifty dollars on would be nice to get, Like it's <v Speaker 1>barely even a game, but also a full priced you're <v Speaker 1>charging seventy dollars again for this, at this point, eight <v Speaker 1>year old game. You could put in the DLC. Yeah <v Speaker 1>you could. That's like almost a given. Like you're calling <v Speaker 1>this the switch to Edition, like an enhanced addition, but <v Speaker 1>it's missing content that came out years ago because you <v Speaker 1>want people to buy it again. Yeah, because you don't <v Speaker 1>want to give it away for free, because nothing Nintendo <v Speaker 1>makes is given away from free. And again I understand <v Speaker 1>the mentality, but in some cases like this, it's not <v Speaker 1>doing anybody any favors. I don't know, I don't know why. <v Speaker 1>I mean, nothing is for free. <v Speaker 3>I mean, you know it's publicity too, I mean it's <v Speaker 3>it's having people try your product. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's nothing, you're you're not going to get ze <v Speaker 1>very little victories. Yeah, it's like, Okay, you're chuging four <v Speaker 1>to fifty for a console. Okay, you're charging eighty dollars <v Speaker 1>for Mario Kart. But at least you put the doc <v Speaker 1>in to Breath of the Wild. At least we got that, <v Speaker 1>you know. But there's no at leasts here. I think <v Speaker 1>the only at least I can think of is for <v Speaker 1>some reason, they've done a bundle with Mario Kart that <v Speaker 1>saves you thirty bucks. Yeah, that's the only at least <v Speaker 1>And I'm really not sure why they're even doing that <v Speaker 1>based on everything else that they've done, Like they're willing <v Speaker 1>to bundle in Mario Kart and have you saved thirty bucks, <v Speaker 1>but then not willing to bundle into ten dollars instructional <v Speaker 1>pamphlet and have you saved ten bucks? Yeah? I mean <v Speaker 1>two things. <v Speaker 3>First of all, I don't like this variable pricing because <v Speaker 3>I feel like that makes it more like obvious and <v Speaker 3>more like greedy, because it's like, of course, you're gonna <v Speaker 3>want to raise the price of Mario Kart, regardless of <v Speaker 3>if it's a better game or not, because you know <v Speaker 3>it's going to sell. You know it's going to be <v Speaker 3>your best selling game. So that that's number one. And <v Speaker 3>then number two is you know how the PS five <v Speaker 3>had that sort of like this is what's inside the <v Speaker 3>PS five game? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>And the Astro was that free? Yeah? Okay, so what's <v Speaker 1>the excuse the first one? I think it was a <v Speaker 1>PlayStation four or did PlayStation five come with one? I <v Speaker 1>don't remember. Chat let me know. My life is a blow. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, the Astro, it was like a pack in <v Speaker 1>free game, one hundred percent. They then they because that <v Speaker 1>game did so well and people liked it so much <v Speaker 1>because it was free and they played it, they made <v Speaker 1>a full game and they charged for it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, which is a that's a good way of doing it, <v Speaker 3>and exactly that, and then exactly that's not free. You're <v Speaker 3>doing publicity for the game that comes out later. I <v Speaker 3>think there's just there's too many, too many things that <v Speaker 3>have happened on this launch that h I want to <v Speaker 3>almost say Unnintendo like from what we've been used to <v Speaker 3>from this last couple generations. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I agree. <v Speaker 3>I mean I think that it's supposed to be, at <v Speaker 3>least from what my understanding of a Nintendo product, since <v Speaker 3>the Wii is it's a family, family friendly product. It's <v Speaker 3>for it's the one that everybody has in their house, <v Speaker 3>so it's crazy that it's it's trying to match pricing <v Speaker 3>with the other consoles. <v Speaker 1>It's not even matching, is going above? Yeah, going like <v Speaker 1>you've been the underdog all this time and something you've <v Speaker 1>had in your favor is pricing and now you're going above. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>And like Astro's playing Room on PlayStation five. Yeah. My <v Speaker 1>I still with the eighty dollars. I still want to <v Speaker 1>wait for the direct It's a week away, and I <v Speaker 1>still am holding reservation that they can explain the eighty. <v Speaker 1>Now maybe that's just the Nintendo fan in me, and <v Speaker 1>maybe that's a little bit of biasm talking, but again, <v Speaker 1>I think the only thing that can explain that to <v Speaker 1>me is if there's some sort of like lifelong DC <v Speaker 1>plan included, Like it's ten extra dollars or technically twenty <v Speaker 1>from what we're used to, but we're going to be <v Speaker 1>supporting this thing and releasing tracks and carts and races <v Speaker 1>and stuff moving forward. And it's like, okay, so this <v Speaker 1>is like a really like you're going in on this <v Speaker 1>and you want an extra ten like as an investment <v Speaker 1>almost and everything else is going to be free. Uh Okay, <v Speaker 1>that makes sense. I could honestly get around that, because <v Speaker 1>then if that also means that you know and hear <v Speaker 1>me out. I'm just thinking out loud right now for <v Speaker 1>the first time. Next year new animal crossing, what was <v Speaker 1>one of the biggest complaints with animal crossing. They dropped it. <v Speaker 1>They did like one or two like doc packs, and <v Speaker 1>then they moved on and it was like, you could <v Speaker 1>do so much more with this. Maybe in their brains <v Speaker 1>they were like, well, we've sold the game and it <v Speaker 1>was sixty bucks and we kind of have to move <v Speaker 1>on to the next thing. What if the next animal <v Speaker 1>crossing is eighty bucks? But listen, but you're already shaking <v Speaker 1>your head. I know, I'm just talking out loud and <v Speaker 1>I'm running up by the chat. You can say no, <v Speaker 1>but they're like, but we're gonna support this one for <v Speaker 1>the next like ten five ten years, five years, let's <v Speaker 1>say five years window and we're gonna keep adding like <v Speaker 1>every week you'll get something new every like season, they'll <v Speaker 1>be new. It won't be the same season like blah <v Speaker 1>blah blah blah for the next five years. <v Speaker 3>But it's eighty dollars. Yeah, I mean, I think that <v Speaker 3>would be fair because it's what we're talking about. We <v Speaker 3>got a five dollars from Barry a little while ago, <v Speaker 3>Mario Kart eight plus DLC is more expensive than Mario <v Speaker 3>Kart World, according to them. I don't know, I can't <v Speaker 3>fact check that for you right now, but I mean <v Speaker 3>I can fact check that for you right now. But <v Speaker 3>that's what they're saying. <v Speaker 1>I mean, that's a very solid point in that with <v Speaker 1>the DC it's more expensive. So does Mario Cutt World <v Speaker 1>have that much content? Yeah? I feel like, is it <v Speaker 1>comparative to the base game of Mario Karte or is <v Speaker 1>it comparative to all of the DLC, Because yeah, even <v Speaker 1>with like Smash, if you were to price out every <v Speaker 1>character we bought it five dollars a pop or whatever <v Speaker 1>it was, how much was Smash? You know? So are <v Speaker 1>we getting the new Smash will be eighty dollars? But <v Speaker 1>then every character they add is going to be free. <v Speaker 1>I'm good with that. Saves you money? Yeah, no, I agree, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I mean, it's just is that going to be the case? <v Speaker 1>Probably not. <v Speaker 3>It's just that Stuff's also again, it's another slippery slope <v Speaker 3>because remember how many games came out Xbox One era <v Speaker 3>that the DLC was already on the disc. Yeah, I know, yeah, <v Speaker 3>and then they released the DLC like that later. <v Speaker 1>That was one of the first times me and my <v Speaker 1>friends got really pissed. It was a gizz of war. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if it was Judgment or three or something. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>but it released with the upcoming DLC expansions on the <v Speaker 1>disc and then months later you had to pay for it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's it's crazy. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It <v Speaker 3>it gets to slippertty slow. You know, you don't know. <v Speaker 1>There's a verified check mark in chat, and I just <v Speaker 1>want to try and read what they're saying. So six <v Speaker 1>ninety is six ninety whe or without tax, the seven <v Speaker 1>hundred figure remains ninety five percent accurate. What are we <v Speaker 1>talking about? Who are we talking to? What's going on here? <v Speaker 3>I think somebody in the chat had said seven hundred <v Speaker 3>is after the tariffs, So let's I don't, Oh, this <v Speaker 3>is gonna get messy. <v Speaker 1>I wouldn't try and calculate how much it's gonna cost <v Speaker 1>with tariffs because we don't really know how tariffs are <v Speaker 1>going to work. Yeah, we don't really know. Uh, if <v Speaker 1>it's literally like I say, it's one hundred percent tariff, <v Speaker 1>We didn't really know if three hundred becomes six hundred, <v Speaker 1>or if it's one hundred percent tariff on the parts <v Speaker 1>that were included, and then the technical it's only blah <v Speaker 1>blah blah, and then maybe it's only one hundred dollars more. <v Speaker 1>I wouldn't try and do math here. It could also <v Speaker 1>be even more expensive because then they I don't know, <v Speaker 1>they could it could be anything. Norway is seven hundred <v Speaker 1>no seven in Norway. Oh, maybe that's how much it's <v Speaker 1>worth in USD. They're saying, wait, why is it seven <v Speaker 1>hundred dollars in Norway? Oh we're on a home. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>see this is gonna get We're on a No. I <v Speaker 1>don't know anything about nobody when it comes to when <v Speaker 1>it comes to Norway, I know no I know no <v Speaker 1>way about no norbody, no body about no Way. All right, <v Speaker 1>what else can we pull here? Switch to China if <v Speaker 1>we can get ahead of this one. I saw today <v Speaker 1>that Nintendo switch tos have been and this is also <v Speaker 1>like very confusing if you can cut to this. Nintendo <v Speaker 1>has postponed the release of Switched To in China indefinitely. <v Speaker 1>Dextero releasing this and then just saying for find out <v Speaker 1>the reasons why click on this for find out the <v Speaker 1>reasons My right wrong fifteen thousand likes. You know, people <v Speaker 1>are going to assume this is because of like tariffs <v Speaker 1>or something. Isn't it made in China? That is actually <v Speaker 1>pretty funny, is it? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>That is actually a good point. The tariffs are being <v Speaker 1>problematic to gamers as well. Trump did this by causing <v Speaker 1>China to retaliate. They picked a really bad time to <v Speaker 1>launch this console. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, So people <v Speaker 1>are obviously assuming that this is tariff related and it's not. <v Speaker 1>This is completely irrelevant, it's not even worth looking into <v Speaker 1>for us. But apparently China has weird laws and regulations <v Speaker 1>around video game consoles. The same thing happened in twenty <v Speaker 1>eighteen with the switch. I think the switch to the <v Speaker 1>Switch one came out two years later in China than <v Speaker 1>it did Japan, And it looks like the same thing's <v Speaker 1>happening again. It's completely unrelated to everything else. It's some <v Speaker 1>weird law and rules and regulations with China and the <v Speaker 1>switch to and video games actually just video games. So <v Speaker 1>all right, if we can, if we can, we can <v Speaker 1>pull it back a little here. I did do a <v Speaker 1>tweet over here on Twitter, and you can go tweet. <v Speaker 1>I think there's a little bit of time left asking people, <v Speaker 1>are you still excited and hyped for the switch to release? Now? <v Speaker 1>This actually gave me some hope. I'm not gonna lie. <v Speaker 1>Sixty seven point seven percent of people did say yes again. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>this is my audience, you know, for the most part. <v Speaker 1>So like, I don't know how accurate this is, but <v Speaker 1>it's nice to know that my audience is mostly still <v Speaker 1>excited or fifty to fifty. And I want to stress <v Speaker 1>that I am still very excited. I'm just nervous about <v Speaker 1>the business side of it all because I want this <v Speaker 1>thing to be a success for a lot of reasons, <v Speaker 1>and not just like for my career, which obviously, yes, <v Speaker 1>that's a big thing. I'm having a kid right now. Nintendo, <v Speaker 1>please don't botch this, but also the being a WEU <v Speaker 1>fan and a we you owner sucked. It sucked like <v Speaker 1>it had no games. Uh, it just didn't go anywhere. <v Speaker 1>It flopped, you know. I want this to be as <v Speaker 1>successful as possible, not just for my career and not <v Speaker 1>just you know, for that side, but because I'm a <v Speaker 1>gamer and because I love Nintendo, and I want this <v Speaker 1>thing to be successed so that we can get another Metroid, <v Speaker 1>so that we can get you know, another animal crossing, <v Speaker 1>which will probably get anyway, but so that we can <v Speaker 1>get X y Z thing and that so we get <v Speaker 1>third party companies look at the Switch and be like, oh, <v Speaker 1>look how successful this is. We should make an exclusive <v Speaker 1>game for it. Oh look how much success from Soft had. <v Speaker 1>Let's make our exclusive Nintendo Switch to game. Like, that's <v Speaker 1>where I want to be with this thing. That's mostly <v Speaker 1>why I want this to be successful. So, yeah, it's <v Speaker 1>not just my own invested interest, which I can't deny <v Speaker 1>I obviously have. But at the same time, you know, <v Speaker 1>that doesn't mean that I'm gonna lie, and it also <v Speaker 1>isn't why I want this to be a success Solely. <v Speaker 1>I wanted to be a success so that we can <v Speaker 1>have a nice hecking eight ten years with Nintendo and <v Speaker 1>not have to be the guy justifying to all his <v Speaker 1>friends why he has a we you you know, because <v Speaker 1>I was that guy. I was that guy. I was like, no, guys, <v Speaker 1>it's really good. Trust me, it's really fun. You're gonna <v Speaker 1>love pigment. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I don't think it's going to be that. I don't <v Speaker 3>think it's going to be that disastrous, but I feel <v Speaker 3>like they will feel a hit on launch. <v Speaker 1>You never do until it is though. That's the thing, Like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>when DS was selling like hotcakes and the Wii was <v Speaker 1>selling like hotcakes, it's almost like bizarre to think like, well, <v Speaker 1>there's no way than that thing. <v Speaker 2>Wow. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Also, have you noticed that there are things that they've <v Speaker 3>like hit a bump on is always like it's like <v Speaker 3>the sequel to something that was great. So we're doing <v Speaker 3>this again with the switch. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. That's another big thing people to pointed out is that, uh, <v Speaker 1>and I thought this would be the one to break it, <v Speaker 1>but now I'm so worried that every time Nintendo has <v Speaker 1>a success, the next thing flops like clockwork every time. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, what you're saying is correct, But I feel like <v Speaker 3>it's not even so much that it's the it's the <v Speaker 3>next thing. <v Speaker 1>It's that it's the sequel to make you know what <v Speaker 1>I mean what you're saying. Yeah, so the we U <v Speaker 1>and the three DS. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, like the regular DS did amazing, yeah, and then <v Speaker 3>the three Yes didn't do it. And I think it's <v Speaker 3>because of this like hype around the fact that you know, <v Speaker 3>it's what you have but better and then we. <v Speaker 1>Can also say it you know there and this is <v Speaker 1>thanks for bringing this up. Over the last few years, <v Speaker 1>I've made a lot of predictions about the Switch too, <v Speaker 1>and I want to not right now, but we have <v Speaker 1>some that are fun to go back and look at <v Speaker 1>of me predicting certain things, and I think for the <v Speaker 1>most part, I was like right on the ball, and <v Speaker 1>I kind of want to make a video with everything <v Speaker 1>that I got right, because I've been talking about four <v Speaker 1>K sixty for like four or five years now. One <v Speaker 1>thing early on, early on, and you can Bob shared <v Speaker 1>it with me actually on the podcast. There's an episode <v Speaker 1>about the switch not having backwards compatibility the Switch too <v Speaker 1>until like two years ago, when Bob changed my mind. <v Speaker 1>I was steadfast that the switch to would not have <v Speaker 1>backwards compatibility, would not have it. And the reason why <v Speaker 1>I felt that is because the three DS failed and <v Speaker 1>the WEIU failed and they both had backwards compatibility. And <v Speaker 1>with the Switch, they started from scratch, they went away <v Speaker 1>from discs, they had cartridges, they launched with seven games <v Speaker 1>and that was it. And look at it now and <v Speaker 1>I was like, why would they Why would they do that? <v Speaker 1>Why would they? Why would they what reason could they <v Speaker 1>have to not start from scratch again and to try <v Speaker 1>this for a third time. But then at some point <v Speaker 1>and obviously it's happening, so it started to make sense <v Speaker 1>to me, and then Nintendo even confirmed it, and I <v Speaker 1>was like, Okay, but this time it makes sense. <v Speaker 3>I is posting a bunch of confusing tweets about how <v Speaker 3>it's like emulating the switch So maybe it was like <v Speaker 3>a decision they made like halfway through the process of <v Speaker 3>the switch ton that. <v Speaker 1>So I probably should have read up on that because <v Speaker 1>I wanted to talk about it, and I am not <v Speaker 1>well versed. But that is another thing that people are <v Speaker 1>getting upset about that it's just emulating, so the switch <v Speaker 1>to apparently when you put in a switch one game, <v Speaker 1>it's just emulating the game. It's not playing the game. <v Speaker 1>I don't know why this matters at all. Bob has <v Speaker 1>told me that this doesn't matter, and Bob is the <v Speaker 1>king of emulating. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I know. <v Speaker 1>If anything, he probably thinks it's sick. <v Speaker 3>Oh that's cool, it's I think it. <v Speaker 1>I mean, it's like a somewhat similar thing. Maybe I <v Speaker 1>could be wrong. No, this is probably different with like Xbox. <v Speaker 1>When you put in an old Xbox game, it can't <v Speaker 1>actually play it, but it knows what it is. So <v Speaker 1>it kind of like proxies a download for it and <v Speaker 1>then you put the get you put it in to <v Speaker 1>play it, but it's actually playing off the hardware and <v Speaker 1>not the disc, and maybe it's a similar thing. I <v Speaker 1>don't know. People were upset about that. I actually don't <v Speaker 1>think that matters. I don't know why they've done it <v Speaker 1>that way. It must have made sense for them. Maybe <v Speaker 1>it's easier to emulate the games. Maybe they can get <v Speaker 1>more out of the games if they emulate them. Maybe <v Speaker 1>it's less expensive to do it that way. Which, let's <v Speaker 1>be real good. I mean, if we can't tell the difference, <v Speaker 1>why does it matter? Yeah? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean what I'm saying is though that maybe <v Speaker 3>they kind of they did start from scratch and then <v Speaker 3>this was sort of like something that they decided to <v Speaker 3>do last minute. So maybe that's why it's emulated. But <v Speaker 3>I don't know. I can't tell you. I didn't read <v Speaker 3>the article. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, that's why, by the way, I was so <v Speaker 1>steadfast on not emulating, sorry, not being back was compatible <v Speaker 1>for all that time. It is because it just felt <v Speaker 1>like it was going to fail. Someone in chat said, <v Speaker 1>variable pricing means not all games will be eighty Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that's a good point, and I should clarify that there <v Speaker 1>is a realm. Let's humor it. There is a realm <v Speaker 1>where this is good. I don't think so, but there <v Speaker 1>is a realm where this is good. Let's say they're <v Speaker 1>really honest and Maria Catt World is eighty, and sure, <v Speaker 1>that's I'm sure it's going to be great. Then they <v Speaker 1>make Animal Crossing, let's use that for an example again, <v Speaker 1>and they're like, oh, maybe this is only sixty, so <v Speaker 1>we've spent ten more here, but we've saved ten here. <v Speaker 1>And maybe with Nintendo games they can do a really <v Speaker 1>good job at striking a balance so that when a <v Speaker 1>game comes out they really surprise us. The next Mario <v Speaker 1>and Luigi game that's fifty, the next three D Mario World, <v Speaker 1>we're back up to eighty, the next Pickman game where <v Speaker 1>we're at sixty, you know, And maybe it all like <v Speaker 1>balances out and this is like a better way. But <v Speaker 1>to Max's point, and to a lot of people's point, <v Speaker 1>it is just a slippery slope. And it's not Nintendo's <v Speaker 1>fault if they introduce this and then PlayStation steals it <v Speaker 1>and they start doing it, and they agreedy and manipulate it. <v Speaker 1>That's not Nintendo's fault if Nintendo does it well and <v Speaker 1>they're respectful about it. But it's hard to have confidence <v Speaker 1>in that when they're charging us ten dollars for an <v Speaker 1>extrauction pamphlet. So it's like, where is your head at <v Speaker 1>with pricing? Like what are you deeming things worth? Like <v Speaker 1>why is Mario catt World eighty? I'm still looking for <v Speaker 1>that answer, and I'm hoping to find it next week. <v Speaker 1>I don't see it yet, and I've played the game. <v Speaker 1>I don't see the eighty yet. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but I just think that, like I said, it's <v Speaker 3>a slippery slope because it's like, I want to do <v Speaker 3>that to every game. I want to know why every game, <v Speaker 3>Why every Call of Duty releases at sixty dollars? <v Speaker 1>You know what I mean? When when it's clear they're <v Speaker 1>using the same engine. Why is every w W two <v Speaker 1>K eighteen or two K whatever game the same game <v Speaker 1>the next year and another price? Yeah? <v Speaker 3>Exactly, that's I mean, That's why it's it's it's gonna <v Speaker 3>be a slippery slip because you could literally do that <v Speaker 3>with every Doug. <v Speaker 1>Bowser, my guy, where have you been? By the way, <v Speaker 1>President of Nintendo bidening it up for the last eight <v Speaker 1>We'll have a long Reggie's been gone sleepy, Doug over here, <v Speaker 1>where have you been? Just popping your head out to <v Speaker 1>let us know about this variable pricing? What makes Breadth <v Speaker 1>of the Wild now seventy? Yeah, you want to talk <v Speaker 1>about variable pricing. What did you do to make that <v Speaker 1>re release seventy? Let's variable price that bad boy. Let's <v Speaker 1>variable price the doc into the game. Let's variable price <v Speaker 1>it down to sixty to fifty, like exactly. <v Speaker 3>Let's variable price you know the Super Mario three D <v Speaker 3>Land or whatever the one is that's on the switch. <v Speaker 3>I think that's still sixty. I think that's still yeah. <v Speaker 1>I mean well not even like your good point, but <v Speaker 1>not even like the old games. You know, if you're <v Speaker 1>re releasing it now like a re release, what's the <v Speaker 1>variable pricing that put Tiers of the Kingdom back up <v Speaker 1>at eighty? You know, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>It's it does feel kind of greedy, It feels kind <v Speaker 3>of you know, pickpockety. It doesn't feel honestly, I miss <v Speaker 3>I miss ease Board because then I could do the <v Speaker 3>bowser laugh. Yeah, we talk about them. Well, I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>bring those sounds down. <v Speaker 1>God Again, there's things that like I would have been like, fine, fine, <v Speaker 1>if you haven't done this, this, and this, I was like, fine, <v Speaker 1>I got to pay ten dollars for the enhanced edition. <v Speaker 1>But at the same time, why do I I'm paying <v Speaker 1>four hundred and fifty to buy your new console that <v Speaker 1>you're adding the four K sixty into. Why do I? <v Speaker 1>Why do I then also have to buy the upgrade <v Speaker 1>to play my games in four K sixty? I bought <v Speaker 1>the upgrade, it was the console. Whyight I have to <v Speaker 1>pay for Breath of the Wild to be in four K? <v Speaker 1>And also it's kind of crazy. <v Speaker 3>To me that the digital and physical we still haven't <v Speaker 3>seen like any sort of price difference in that, because, <v Speaker 3>I mean, you would think it would cost them more <v Speaker 3>to release the physical. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know, yeah, that's a yeah, that's a whole thing. <v Speaker 2>I know. <v Speaker 1>It's just just sort of funny. They really shot themselves <v Speaker 1>in the foot with this eighty because it made everybody <v Speaker 1>look at everything else under a microscope. Ye I'm telling <v Speaker 1>you right now, we would not be in this position <v Speaker 1>if Mario kartt wasn't eighty. You know what, I have <v Speaker 1>a belief. <v Speaker 3>I have a belief that it's my theory that if <v Speaker 3>they released Mario Kart at a lower price, like let's <v Speaker 3>say sixty or seventy like Donkey Kong, and released Donkey <v Speaker 3>Kong at eighty, I don't even think we'd be having <v Speaker 3>this conversation. <v Speaker 1>Seriously. I think it's just because I have. <v Speaker 3>An interesting point, think that Mario Kart, that every nobody <v Speaker 3>will agree that Mario Kart a cart game is worth <v Speaker 3>eighty dollars, but an adventure game like Breath of the <v Speaker 3>arsting point. <v Speaker 1>And it's also because this Donkey Kong is new, so <v Speaker 1>it's like exactly not. We don't understand any of it, <v Speaker 1>and it's like, oh, what's going to be in that <v Speaker 1>game to make it worth eighty? Yeah, and we'd be <v Speaker 1>excited if we had a good point, But why, I <v Speaker 1>don't know. If everyone to be excited, Yeah, it would <v Speaker 1>still be mad about that. I get your I think <v Speaker 1>mentality would be different, and I think people would be <v Speaker 1>more willing to like give that a shot. I think <v Speaker 1>Mario Cutt, knowing what we know about what Mario Cutt <v Speaker 1>is and seeing what we've seen from Mario Kart, it's <v Speaker 1>like what. <v Speaker 3>I hit recording, Okay, Hello is anybody there. <v Speaker 1>Should I do that intro again? <v Speaker 2>No, but. <v Speaker 1>Right click on the obs window like the picture you're <v Speaker 1>looking at, and hit like a full screen monitor or <v Speaker 1>something full projector previously, and then do wholly whatever it says. Yeah, okay, <v Speaker 1>all right, sorry about that. The laptop died. It should <v Speaker 1>be good. This actually it should be fine. If we <v Speaker 1>just keep going. This should still be the one episode. <v Speaker 1>They'll probably just be like a blackout in the middle. Okay, <v Speaker 1>it might even just cut Honestly, am I just cut <v Speaker 1>it out? People watching this late? It might not even <v Speaker 1>know what happened. What happened. Yeah, we're back, guys, Sorry <v Speaker 1>about that. The other the good laptop died for some reason. <v Speaker 1>But yeah we're back. Sorry guys, laptops fired. It's the <v Speaker 1>lagging Antendo switch to camera, Yeah it is. Yeah, they <v Speaker 1>had enough. I also realized there's no games at launch <v Speaker 1>that use the camera. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean, is the camera even going to be <v Speaker 3>used for a gameplay purpose? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it would be used in Mario Party Jamboree, but <v Speaker 1>that comes out two months after launch. Explain to me <v Speaker 1>again how it's going to be used if you don't mind, <v Speaker 1>so in Mario Party Jamboree, they're adding in DC that <v Speaker 1>uses the camera like an ioy. There's all mini where <v Speaker 1>you're on the screen and you'll interest in things. Well, <v Speaker 1>you know that comes out two months after the console launch. <v Speaker 1>So on launch, what are you gonna do with the camera. <v Speaker 1>I just just talked to your friends. <v Speaker 3>I guess did you know that the uh, the little <v Speaker 3>Piranha plant if you want to bring that up too, <v Speaker 3>But the Piranha plant camera, the little stem that connects <v Speaker 3>to the vase. You can take that out and then <v Speaker 3>it's got a USB C and then you can plug <v Speaker 3>it on the USB C port. <v Speaker 1>Oh that's actually really cool. Isn't that cool? A lunic <v Speaker 1>in chat said, would when are we getting it? I <v Speaker 1>made an entire video using the switch to camera. That's <v Speaker 1>a sick idea, and I'm stealing it if you don't mind. <v Speaker 1>Actually i'm locking that in right now. I don't remember where. <v Speaker 1>Oh I think we were saying uh yeah for AVP. <v Speaker 1>Everybody's saying it in the chante. I'm going to keep <v Speaker 1>stressing that point home because I really believe it. Nintendo <v Speaker 1>fans are suckers. We are will pay for anything. Enhanced <v Speaker 1>diitions ten dollars more, all right? I guess, let me <v Speaker 1>bend over and then daddy Nintendo a packing game being <v Speaker 1>ten dollars. All right, I mean I'm not gonna buy it, <v Speaker 1>but if that's what you want to charge for it, <v Speaker 1>bit weird. You know, the console being four hundred and fifty, Well, <v Speaker 1>you gave us four K sixty frames. We've been asking <v Speaker 1>by that for a long time, so let me unzip <v Speaker 1>my pants for you, you know what I mean. God, <v Speaker 1>but as soon as they hit that eighty, everything else <v Speaker 1>became not okay, and now they can't catch a break. <v Speaker 1>And rightfully, sir. <v Speaker 3>I mean, yeah, I think that this has been a <v Speaker 3>long time coming, like you're saying, and I think that <v Speaker 3>it's been crazy that they never lower Have you noticed <v Speaker 3>they never lower the price of any Nintendo first party <v Speaker 3>game ever, no matter how long it's been out. I know, <v Speaker 3>I'm kind of okay with that. Why are you a <v Speaker 3>Nintendo shill? <v Speaker 1>No? Because, for one, I buy the games when they <v Speaker 1>come out. Yeah. True, Nintendo's whole thing is like that, <v Speaker 1>well up until now. I know we're all mad at <v Speaker 1>them right now, but up until now, the whole thing <v Speaker 1>is we work on a game till it's done, and <v Speaker 1>then it's the quality game that we wanted it to be, <v Speaker 1>and we're going to charge you for it. And it's like, <v Speaker 1>all right, that's the trade off, And then what's the alternative? <v Speaker 1>You get games like Ubisoft games that are rushed out <v Speaker 1>in a year. They come out at seventy dollars. If <v Speaker 1>you buy it, you're just wasting your money because in <v Speaker 1>a week it'll be twenty bucks. Like, it's just a <v Speaker 1>different culture. And I don't think that it. I don't <v Speaker 1>think it makes a healthy ecosystem of video game development <v Speaker 1>to video game consumer. And I think this, I think <v Speaker 1>this works, and I think up until now, I know <v Speaker 1>it sounds silly, but I think it's like, all right, <v Speaker 1>they work hard on their games, they're worth the money. <v Speaker 1>It's almost like, yeah, why sell it for twenty bucks? <v Speaker 1>You know, it doesn't It doesn't even make sense for <v Speaker 1>a game as good as Tears of the Kingdom to <v Speaker 1>like be twenty unless it's like Black Friday or something. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean, I don't expect those kind of games <v Speaker 3>to go down to twenty or even thirty. <v Speaker 1>But I mean, I mean they do cut They do <v Speaker 1>forties and fifties sometimes like holiday season discounts. Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>don't know. Up until now, I haven't ever had a <v Speaker 1>problem with that, and I feel like the alternative is <v Speaker 1>what what I just said would like Ubisoft. And it's like, <v Speaker 1>you know, the more money that Nintendo gets for these games, <v Speaker 1>the more that they can afford to take five years <v Speaker 1>for the next one. You know, if they pull, if <v Speaker 1>they spend five years on something, it comes out, then <v Speaker 1>it's on sale for twenty bucks that year. It's like <v Speaker 1>they're gonna think to themselves, Okay, how can we speed <v Speaker 1>up development next time? You know, how can we take <v Speaker 1>this five year development down to down to two years <v Speaker 1>because we're not seeing the profit return. Whereas right now <v Speaker 1>they work five years, they know what they're gonna sell <v Speaker 1>that game for, they can project their budget based on that, <v Speaker 1>and they can work within that scope. And again, until now, <v Speaker 1>we've got games like Breath of the Wild, Mario three <v Speaker 1>d Otis three D World, I don't know what I'm saying, <v Speaker 1>Mario Odyssey, Mario Catt, Animal Crossing, all of these like <v Speaker 1>genre defining games that are like the peak, Like the <v Speaker 1>best live sim you can get is Animal Crossing. The <v Speaker 1>best Action adventure APG you can get a Zelda. So <v Speaker 1>like until now, this system is working, which is why <v Speaker 1>I've always been fine with it me personally. I mean, <v Speaker 1>you can always buy it secondhand of a guy for <v Speaker 1>twenty bucks. If you want. <v Speaker 3>Jay Websey with two dollars says, just use game Fly <v Speaker 3>like me, what are you from twenty ten? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what I mean. There's all the ways. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I think it is Craigslist. <v Speaker 3>It's not going to work with the with the download disc, right, <v Speaker 3>will that even work? <v Speaker 1>I don't know what game fly is. I was just <v Speaker 1>agreeing with you. You don't know what gameplay is. <v Speaker 4>No. <v Speaker 1>I did a sponsor for them when my channel was <v Speaker 1>like baby brand New. <v Speaker 3>That's what I'm saying, But that was it was a <v Speaker 3>physical exchange, mailing like Blockbusters. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, with mail Netflix, I guess, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 1>All right. There's a lot of things in this stock <v Speaker 1>I want to talk about, but I do want to <v Speaker 1>touch on this I Justine thing because it's so funny <v Speaker 1>to me. If my laptop manages to make it and <v Speaker 1>I don't have to do a reset here, what number is? <v Speaker 3>Just do control after type in, like Justine, I swear <v Speaker 3>things will start showing their faces. <v Speaker 1>I don't. <v Speaker 3>It's like eighteen nineteen. It's towards the bottom eighteen nineteen. No, <v Speaker 3>it's not anything extra I do on this lap. This <v Speaker 3>laptop is also going to need a set pretty much. <v Speaker 3>It's thirteen thirteen thirteen. All right, thank you so much <v Speaker 3>for that. <v Speaker 1>No problem. Let me see if I can bring this up. <v Speaker 1>This laptop might need a reset. Actually we need to <v Speaker 1>talk about something else. We're talking about all this money <v Speaker 1>you're going to spend. It's like, you need a laptop. <v Speaker 1>This laptops. I made a promise to Chat that I <v Speaker 1>would get a new laptop by this stream. To be fair, <v Speaker 1>these are both my laptops. This is my crap one. <v Speaker 1>But I went. I went, like a couple of days ago, <v Speaker 1>I went to Walmart to get a MacBook and they <v Speaker 1>were like, we don't sell MacBooks, and I was like, okay. <v Speaker 1>So I went to Target and they're like, yeah, we <v Speaker 1>don't sell MacBooks, but we have MacBook cases. And I <v Speaker 1>was like, what is happening? Yeah? Perfect, And I haven't <v Speaker 1>made it up the best, so MacBook, I don't know <v Speaker 1>what's happening. Yeah, this might need a whole reset. Oh great, <v Speaker 1>So I'm going to do that really quick, super fun. <v Speaker 1>Sorry about that last time it didn't take too long. <v Speaker 1>I'll talk about it though. Before we get the video, <v Speaker 1>A lot of you might have seen it. Sorry, I'll <v Speaker 1>pull it now. I feel I want to show the <v Speaker 1>video that I want to talk about it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, maybe we can just do some super chats or something. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, hit me with some chat. Let's let let's take <v Speaker 1>a moment, talk to chat. Okay, hold on, hold on, <v Speaker 1>hit me with something that they're saying. <v Speaker 3>Uh, okay, Well, people with the Switch to Mario Party <v Speaker 3>be able to play with Switch one Mario Party players. <v Speaker 3>That's also, I absolutely love the content. <v Speaker 1>Oh, thank you so much. I appreciate that. <v Speaker 3>Five dollars from Cinnamon Bob. <v Speaker 1>Those I love that name too. Those kind of questions <v Speaker 1>are all things that we're gonna have to wait and see. <v Speaker 1>I think unless Nintendo have specifically said I, if I <v Speaker 1>was to make a bold assumption and don't hold me <v Speaker 1>to it, I'd say yes. I mean, you probably would <v Speaker 1>be not able to play the extra DFC content, and <v Speaker 1>you probably wouldn't be able to do the extra minigames, <v Speaker 1>but I imagine so so. <v Speaker 3>One thing I can confirm is remember the game sharing. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>if if the game I guess if the game works <v Speaker 3>on both systems. You can game share to a switch <v Speaker 3>one and I saw them playing Mario Party when they <v Speaker 3>were I'm sharing one person had to switch one. <v Speaker 1>You could tell why the joy cards. Yeah, that makes <v Speaker 1>so that I can confirm. <v Speaker 2>Oh. <v Speaker 1>One of the other things about misinformation too, that was <v Speaker 1>going around and I put it in the thumbnaw so <v Speaker 1>before we talk about it was that. Uh well, I <v Speaker 1>think for the thumbnail, I wrote no data because I <v Speaker 1>I couldn't figure out what's actually right. But people were <v Speaker 1>thinking that the key carts were going to get locked. <v Speaker 1>Do I have that in the dock at all, that <v Speaker 1>key cuts were going to get locked to accounts? Uh? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that I did. I definitely didn't post up. You can <v Speaker 1>maybe ask you no, it's updated windows. Uh yeah. That <v Speaker 1>was a thing going that the game key cards or <v Speaker 1>like game cards were going to get locked to your <v Speaker 1>account when you use them. And I think that has <v Speaker 1>been confirmed not to be true. I don't know if <v Speaker 1>that was like some more weird uh little tiny print <v Speaker 1>on something that someone read, but yeah, no, they won't. <v Speaker 1>The physical games will not be locked to your account. <v Speaker 1>I don't know where that came from. <v Speaker 3>But uh there we got another one from five dollars, <v Speaker 3>uh leronor you're asking a dyslexic to read these, So <v Speaker 3>I apologize if I'm making your names messed up. But <v Speaker 3>for five dollars, says I'm going to keep it real. <v Speaker 3>This might be a PS three launch situation. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you know about that one. No, please enlighten me. <v Speaker 1>It was one thousand dollars. Was it a thousand? It <v Speaker 1>was a thousand dollars. That is crazy it had. It <v Speaker 1>was one thousand dollars. It also had like full backwards <v Speaker 1>compatibility and some other things, and people were like, what <v Speaker 1>are you doing? So they stripped back the console, they <v Speaker 1>took out the backwards compatibility and some other things, and <v Speaker 1>then they re released it for like six hundred or something. <v Speaker 1>I don't remember what they did. <v Speaker 3>It was still a crazy I remember it was still <v Speaker 3>a crazy price. And at the time though, wasn't it <v Speaker 3>like the cheapest Blu ray player though? Or am I crazy? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? Yeah, it's always it's something weird, like I don't <v Speaker 1>know about at a thousand. Yeah, no doubt at a thousand. <v Speaker 1>But yeah. Another thing I saw as I'm still waiting <v Speaker 1>for my computer to reboot and update Windows is people saying, <v Speaker 1>I guess n video came out and said that the <v Speaker 1>chip they made for the switch to is worth like <v Speaker 1>one hundred and fifty bones or something, and so now <v Speaker 1>people are saying, oh, then the switch is probably only <v Speaker 1>going to cost like three hundred dollars to make, and <v Speaker 1>Nintendo could just not sell it at such a high price. Again, <v Speaker 1>I really don't think going after the console price is <v Speaker 1>the right idea. But also we don't know what it <v Speaker 1>costs them to make. We do know, as I learned <v Speaker 1>recently with the switch one, they actually were selling switch <v Speaker 1>ones at a profit. They were selling them. I don't <v Speaker 1>remember if it was like fifty dollars profit or something <v Speaker 1>they were making on each one, and they weren't taking <v Speaker 1>a loss on it. And it's most likely the case <v Speaker 1>here again, like I would I my guess would be <v Speaker 1>it probably cost three to fifty four hundred for them <v Speaker 1>to make a switch and then they're probably selling out <v Speaker 1>a profit at four point fifty and I don't think <v Speaker 1>that's that much of a problem. Like I think all <v Speaker 1>companies do one to be in a position where they're <v Speaker 1>selling stuff out of profit, and again not to be <v Speaker 1>a shill for them. The more money they make, the <v Speaker 1>more money they have to invest in products and time <v Speaker 1>and spending five years on development cycles and all of that, <v Speaker 1>and as long as the product is good and it's <v Speaker 1>worth that money. In today's economy, I don't think it's <v Speaker 1>that much of an issue. <v Speaker 3>So I not to question your intelligence on marketing, but <v Speaker 3>I as a salesperson, I know that I think you're <v Speaker 3>vastly overestimating what cost is. I don't think that they <v Speaker 3>would I think this. I think they'd want to at <v Speaker 3>least make two fifty each console, like minimum. So I <v Speaker 3>think buying a bunch of those chips at bulk, you <v Speaker 3>know what I mean? You have to take into consideration <v Speaker 3>that they're probably buying them, well, then they're one hundred <v Speaker 3>and thirty each. If they're buying them at bulk, they're <v Speaker 3>probably only like sixty eighty for them because they're buying <v Speaker 3>so much. <v Speaker 1>I mean, we're all guess, and you could be right. <v Speaker 1>I can't get wrong. Yeah, I know better, That's what <v Speaker 1>I meant. I don't think you are at least like that. <v Speaker 1>That's out. I'm glad that's out. I I'm only basing <v Speaker 1>this on what we know from Switch one and how <v Speaker 1>much profit they made on Switch one. Okay, So we <v Speaker 1>got another one that I think is kind of I <v Speaker 1>would like to still hit on that though. Sorry, I <v Speaker 1>would like to still continue that though. Continue Yeah, because <v Speaker 1>like if you're saying they're making like two hundred or more, yeah, <v Speaker 1>then that sounds like you think they're just selling the <v Speaker 1>chip because the chip's worth one fifty. What do you <v Speaker 1>think everything else is worth? Like the screen, the gyro, <v Speaker 1>the controllers, the NFC reader, the HD rumble, the no <v Speaker 1>for sure, yeah, I mean all that's got to be <v Speaker 1>worth more than fifty bucks. No, for sure. But I <v Speaker 1>mean they don't think they're making like two I just <v Speaker 1>don't think they're making two hundred dollars profit at four fifty. <v Speaker 1>I think that they are. I think that they're making <v Speaker 1>a lot of profit. You think they found a way <v Speaker 1>to make the switch too cheaper than the switch one? <v Speaker 3>You think, Well, that's what I'm saying is I don't <v Speaker 3>think that we know for how much they pay for <v Speaker 3>this the consoles. <v Speaker 1>No, we don't, not at all. <v Speaker 3>No, I think that if we do know switch one, <v Speaker 3>if you were to make the switch, you could probably <v Speaker 3>you know, you could probably make it for whatever price <v Speaker 3>you're saying. Now, I'm just saying that when you're Nintendo <v Speaker 3>and you're buying like millions of that. <v Speaker 1>You know that Xbox and PlayStations sell theirs at a loss. No, <v Speaker 1>I did not know that. Yeah, all other companies sell <v Speaker 1>their systems at a loss. It was a revelation to <v Speaker 1>me to find out that Nintendo makes about fifty bucks <v Speaker 1>off each switch. They actually sell them at a profit. <v Speaker 1>So if they found a way to make a couple <v Speaker 1>hundred bucks on a better system, they've got a well, <v Speaker 1>I guess they don't have to tell Sony an Xbox, <v Speaker 1>but yeah, they've definitely done something cool. <v Speaker 3>I mean they are in Japan. I mean I find <v Speaker 3>that shocking, to be honest, from what I know about. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, these companies I talk about a lot, but they <v Speaker 1>sell their systems at a loss because once you have it, <v Speaker 1>you have to buy games for it, and all of <v Speaker 1>the software is profit. Yeah, immediately, as soon as someone <v Speaker 1>subscribes to an online membership a game PA, they buy <v Speaker 1>a video game, they buy Halo, they buy Last of Us. <v Speaker 1>That's why these companies stop making that profit. <v Speaker 3>But that's the thing is that, Okay, let's talk about <v Speaker 3>that with Nintendo. It's like, then, why is Mario Kart <v Speaker 3>eighty dollars because you could have just sold the console <v Speaker 3>for more or cheaper, or you know, tried to pin <v Speaker 3>agree with you on that. Yeah, yeah, I'm ned with <v Speaker 3>you on that. So somebody brought this up in super chat. <v Speaker 3>I just want to throw this at you real fast <v Speaker 3>while you're still loading stuff up. I'm almost munching munch lax. <v Speaker 3>Great name, nine dollars and ninety nine cents. I know <v Speaker 3>this is going to sound odd or old. I didn't <v Speaker 3>want to, by the way, before I get into this, <v Speaker 3>I had this up and I just was like, this <v Speaker 3>doesn't this is going to make it into the dock. <v Speaker 3>So I didn't put it into the dock. But they're saying, <v Speaker 3>I know this is going to sound old. But somebody <v Speaker 3>went on x and said that they had a source <v Speaker 3>that works at Nintendo say that there were managers meeting <v Speaker 3>tomorrow to discuss the price whether to stay at four <v Speaker 3>fifty this pre order news. <v Speaker 1>That that does sound like my dad works at a <v Speaker 1>Nintendo situation exactly. <v Speaker 3>I didn't really think it was a reddit you know, <v Speaker 3>post or whatever, and I didn't really think it was <v Speaker 3>worth adding to the dock. <v Speaker 1>But if someone find it, I'd love to see it. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I can find it again. I think. All right, guys, <v Speaker 1>this laptop is doing my head in. So I'm just <v Speaker 1>gonna tell you what happened with I Justine, and you're <v Speaker 1>gonna have to go see my tweet. I wish I <v Speaker 1>could bring it up. It would be way better if <v Speaker 1>I could, but I can't because it's not working, and <v Speaker 1>I don't. I gotta get a new I gotta just <v Speaker 1>I gotta Amazon, especially before the tariffs get here. I <v Speaker 1>need to Amazon order a MacBook. If anyone, what's a <v Speaker 1>good MacBook? What one should I get? Books? In the <v Speaker 1>chat because they very impressed. I can't even see chat <v Speaker 1>because I can't pull anything up. Oh wait is it working? Oh? <v Speaker 1>I can type. I'm in I've hacked the main frame. <v Speaker 1>We're in, guys. Yes, I'm in Google Docs. I'm opening <v Speaker 1>which you say it was thirteen fourteen on I Justine, <v Speaker 1>you said Max, I don't know if that's the MacBook. <v Speaker 3>Oo ooh ooh, yep, here we go. A lot of <v Speaker 3>people are saying air am four pro. <v Speaker 1>Sorry for this dead ed, this is the this is <v Speaker 1>the worst part of the podcast. I won't be I <v Speaker 1>won't make it dead. Yeah, I'm going to make it dead. <v Speaker 1>I know we're both doing stuff, all right. I think <v Speaker 1>I've got it locked. You can cut to me. Locked. <v Speaker 1>There it is, guys. Oh, I just wanted to show <v Speaker 1>this before I spoke about it. Okay, here's a clip <v Speaker 1>of I Justine. If you haven't seen it, I want <v Speaker 1>to know what you think about it. It out. <v Speaker 4>I just got a chance to play the Memorial Park <v Speaker 4>World and it was. <v Speaker 1>So much fun. <v Speaker 4>But take a supposed to look at the Nintendo switch <v Speaker 4>to whip the display on. <v Speaker 1>Huge screen. <v Speaker 4>So fun, so crisp, so clean. <v Speaker 3>Oh it's beautiful. <v Speaker 1>What if I told you in that nineteen seconds there <v Speaker 1>were two things that pissed off gamers around the world <v Speaker 1>that she said. <v Speaker 3>I would very much believe you because I know where <v Speaker 3>you're going with this. <v Speaker 1>I just love it. I'm gonna play it again because <v Speaker 1>if you don't know what happened, you might have missed it. <v Speaker 3>Can we get a T shirt that says that, Actually. <v Speaker 1>No, because I think it's insane that people are making <v Speaker 1>fun of her for this. See if you can pick <v Speaker 1>the two moments, check it out. I just got to <v Speaker 1>do you know, both moments. I think so. <v Speaker 4>Play the Memorial Part World, and it was so much fun. <v Speaker 4>But take a supposed to look at the Nintendo switch <v Speaker 4>to with the display. <v Speaker 3>On, huge screen. <v Speaker 4>So fun, so crisp, so clean. <v Speaker 1>You know, I don't know why you're laughing. Are you <v Speaker 1>laughing at how ridiculous it is that people got upset. <v Speaker 3>I'm laughing at the meme mobility of it. <v Speaker 1>Okay, I will say, what are the two moments? <v Speaker 3>You think the two moments are when she says, with <v Speaker 3>the display on is number one? <v Speaker 1>It's not? And then number two it's not. But it <v Speaker 1>could have been It could have been anything. Okay, So <v Speaker 1>it could have been her breathing. Okay, and well. <v Speaker 3>Too, I know, and everybody keeps saying it in the chat. <v Speaker 3>It's so crisp, so clean, so fun. <v Speaker 2>All right? <v Speaker 3>Can we get a T shirt that says that, come on, <v Speaker 3>that's great? <v Speaker 1>No, because I'm not. I'm not in the habit of <v Speaker 1>making fun of people for saying something completely normal. All right. <v Speaker 3>It's just a mean thing. I don't know if I'm <v Speaker 3>making I'm laughing with her. <v Speaker 1>The thing is no one else is people are making <v Speaker 1>fun of her and people I feel like it's extremely sexist. <v Speaker 1>But you can cut away from this for a second. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>So the first thing was people say had an issue <v Speaker 1>with her saying the new Mario cart World. <v Speaker 3>Oh that's that, Okay, come on, guys, because. <v Speaker 1>It's not the new Mario cart World. It's a new <v Speaker 1>Mario cut There's not been a new Mario cut World. Yeah. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>so that's the first thing people are saying, why she <v Speaker 1>even there? Yeah, that's yeah, the whole thing is insane. Secondly, <v Speaker 1>I'm sorry. That screen is fun. Yeah, that is a bright, <v Speaker 1>popping LCD HDR screen that I'm gonna get to play <v Speaker 1>Breath of the Wild Tears of the Kingdom on and <v Speaker 1>see these games come to life, Like I was legitimately <v Speaker 1>playing Tears of the Kingdom on that screen, seeing like <v Speaker 1>the glow of the sun come through, and I thought, <v Speaker 1>I'm having fun. And that fun playing that old game <v Speaker 1>was because of what the screen was doing. The screen <v Speaker 1>was making the game more fun and more enjoyable for me. <v Speaker 1>So one I understood what she meant, and two people <v Speaker 1>are like, why she even there? Like what kind of <v Speaker 1>review is this? Like isn't she a tech reviewer. She's <v Speaker 1>at the press event and someone pulled out a phone <v Speaker 1>and she said something, this isn't like she's gone home <v Speaker 1>and she wrote a script and she's done a whole breakdown, <v Speaker 1>and she used the word fun to describe the experience <v Speaker 1>of the screen, which, to be fair, whatever, if that's <v Speaker 1>her experience with the screen, she just said fun while <v Speaker 1>she was standing there in a ten second clip. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I mean, like I said. And and by the way, <v Speaker 1>this is what was quoted. This is access media with <v Speaker 1>toxic positivity rolled into one twenty second clip. Did you <v Speaker 1>get any of that? Yeah, toxic positivity? What does that <v Speaker 1>even mean? I'm here playing the new Mario cut world. <v Speaker 1>The fun the screen is so fun, so clean, so crisp, toxic. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I don't. I just like, I just like that saying. <v Speaker 3>I think it's a great saying. <v Speaker 1>Sure, I don't. I I don't think anyone would have <v Speaker 1>given two squats a piss if this was Marcus Brownlee <v Speaker 1>or Casey Nysat or anybody that has said that they <v Speaker 1>had fun with that screen personally. <v Speaker 3>I will, you know what, I will have to agree <v Speaker 3>with you there. I think that is a huge part <v Speaker 3>of it. Thateople like to make fun of girl gamers <v Speaker 3>or whatever. They're just gamers at the end of the day. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, I just I think that I think that <v Speaker 3>they would have. I think people would always be there <v Speaker 3>to give anybody a home. Can I just because you <v Speaker 3>thought it was hilarious? I want to on a couple <v Speaker 3>of things off of you go for it? The joy <v Speaker 3>cons when you play emotional controls? Could could that be fun? <v Speaker 1>Uh? Yes? Okay, so you could describe that as fun? Yeah? <v Speaker 1>What about using the microphone to talk to your friends <v Speaker 1>that's built in? Could you describe that as a fun? Time? <v Speaker 1>Would be fun? Was this grilling Max time? No? No, <v Speaker 1>I'm using you as a sounding board. I'm not trying <v Speaker 1>to be mean to you. No, I'm proposing it to <v Speaker 1>the audience. Why can't it be fun? Why can't any <v Speaker 1>part of this be fun? Even Nintendo thinks their new <v Speaker 1>gimmick this time is their one hundred and twenty frame <v Speaker 1>screen because they put a mini game for that into <v Speaker 1>their new pack in game, I feel like getting to <v Speaker 1>play Tiss of the Kingdom in one hundred and twenty <v Speaker 1>frames is an element of fun that the screen is providing. <v Speaker 1>The screen is fun. <v Speaker 3>Can I say something that I think they made such <v Speaker 3>a nitpick? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? <v Speaker 3>I think Can I say something that I think they <v Speaker 3>may have made an error with when inviting some of <v Speaker 3>these people. Sure, and this is just my opinion, but <v Speaker 3>I think that the switch to on first glance on <v Speaker 3>or even somebody seeing it that isn't a hardcore switch fan, <v Speaker 3>they might not be able to see the difference of <v Speaker 3>the Switch one to the Switch one, at least right away. <v Speaker 3>You know, maybe better screen, but you know, you got <v Speaker 3>the O lead, you know what I'm saying. So I <v Speaker 3>think that they, like you said, it was off the rip, <v Speaker 3>somebody just jumped in their face. Maybe it was difficult <v Speaker 3>for them to differentiate to like in ten seconds or <v Speaker 3>however long the TikTok. <v Speaker 1>Maybe, but I agree with everything she said, so, like <v Speaker 1>what makes her or eye so different in that way? <v Speaker 3>It was tense? <v Speaker 1>Oh she said was here's the new Mario cut. The <v Speaker 1>screen is so clean, crisp and fun. Yeah. Basing on that, <v Speaker 1>You're like, she's never seen a switch one. <v Speaker 3>No, I'm saying that she may have ran out of <v Speaker 3>things to be like, how do I differentiate these this <v Speaker 3>from the switch one on just first glance? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm maybe or maybe I mean, like because. <v Speaker 3>When you got there you knew about the four K <v Speaker 3>you knew about but like new features, she did it. <v Speaker 1>I think this is irrelevant. I mean cut back to <v Speaker 1>the clip just for a second. Yeah, so she's here, <v Speaker 1>she's just talking about it quickly. <v Speaker 4>Chris so clean. <v Speaker 1>Oh, it's beautiful, beautiful, she likes it. <v Speaker 3>I cannot wait for juni feb. <v Speaker 1>And then she just puts it down and she like <v Speaker 1>walks away like this isn't a this is this is <v Speaker 1>a nothing video. Yeah, And I'm not to her discredit <v Speaker 1>it's just not it's not her content. It's not what <v Speaker 1>she's like gone home and made about this. It's like <v Speaker 1>someone filmed her while she was there, and that's what <v Speaker 1>she said off the top of her head. Yeah, you <v Speaker 1>could have had the same video of me, Like if <v Speaker 1>you were a fan of me and you noticed me <v Speaker 1>when I was there, and you just pulled out your <v Speaker 1>phone your camera and you were like, say something about it. <v Speaker 1>What Am I going to give you a whole breakdown? <v Speaker 1>Am I going to give you the pros and cons <v Speaker 1>and how it compares to the first one? Do you <v Speaker 1>got ten minutes? Let me let me get to the <v Speaker 1>bottom of this. No, I'm gonna be like, yeah, it's great. <v Speaker 1>The screen's really crisp. That's probably even what I said <v Speaker 1>to people that were asking me questions while I was there. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean I don't know how to Yeah, I <v Speaker 3>don't know how to defend this, this kind of making <v Speaker 3>fun of I mean, I think that it's just a <v Speaker 3>small little tongue in cheek kind of laugh. But you know, <v Speaker 3>I'm not I don't think that this discredits her. I <v Speaker 3>think it's just, you know, it's just kind of somebody <v Speaker 3>talking about I think. <v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, you know what I mean. I think <v Speaker 1>maybe like the the the conversation in the room is different. <v Speaker 1>I'm trying to talk about, like if you go to <v Speaker 1>this thread, and I didn't want to highlight them too <v Speaker 1>much because I don't want to give them too much publicity. <v Speaker 1>But people like they're making like multiple podcast episodes about it, <v Speaker 1>and I was mentioned in it for defending her, and <v Speaker 1>they were making fun of miss Click for defending her, <v Speaker 1>and all these comments and replies are like, you know, <v Speaker 1>laughing at her or like saying that she shouldn't have <v Speaker 1>gone and blah blah blah blah. So to me, it <v Speaker 1>doesn't feel like a tongue in cheek. Oh that's a <v Speaker 1>mimorable little moment. It's shitting on her. Like, I don't <v Speaker 1>know how else to say it really, But I don't <v Speaker 1>know if you okay, fair, I hope she doesn't go <v Speaker 1>to the next one. I mean, is that the official <v Speaker 1>stance of the show or I mean I didn't say that, <v Speaker 1>you said it. I don't know. I don't know what's <v Speaker 1>happening anymore. I stand with I Justine. I think it's <v Speaker 1>absolutely insane that people made fun of that. That is, <v Speaker 1>I saw nothing wrong with what she said. I honestly <v Speaker 1>had to watch it like ten times the first time <v Speaker 1>I saw the clip to figure out what people were <v Speaker 1>upset about. And I think the backlash that she got <v Speaker 1>for that clip is unjustified. I think, I think, yeah, <v Speaker 1>I agree in my in my opinion, I. <v Speaker 3>Want to also say that I think some sort of <v Speaker 3>backlash is crazy. I think that, you know, we can <v Speaker 3>have a little laugh about it, but some sort of <v Speaker 3>like trying to like attack this person on what they <v Speaker 3>do for a living is crazy. But what else do <v Speaker 3>we got in the doc? <v Speaker 1>I don't know. I got to reset everything, so that's <v Speaker 1>the only thing I managed to pull up. Really, chat thoughts, <v Speaker 1>could we get a vibe? Do you want to do <v Speaker 1>a poll? Chat? <v Speaker 3>Uh that that's going to be a crazy ask for me. <v Speaker 3>Because I'm not on I'm watching it the regular way chat. Sorry, <v Speaker 3>I'm trying to get trying to get your comments up. <v Speaker 1>I can't find the stream. Now all right, I got it? <v Speaker 1>Why is it I want saying? Batman? Uh? They're calling <v Speaker 1>you batman for defending. <v Speaker 2>Me? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? Okay, cool? Where are the drugs going? <v Speaker 3>Uh? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? I mean well, no, I don't want to move on? Then? <v Speaker 1>Do people? Are people actually mad with her? Like is is? No? <v Speaker 1>I think a lot of people. <v Speaker 3>I honestly think that a lot of people in the <v Speaker 3>chat are agreeing with you. I just think that maybe <v Speaker 3>they think that she you don't need you don't need <v Speaker 3>to defend this. <v Speaker 1>Uh okay, sure, Okay. To be honest, I was planning <v Speaker 1>on going into it and just like looking at my <v Speaker 1>tweet and talking about how silly it is. I didn't expect. <v Speaker 1>I didn't expect pushback in the room. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's definitely that chat is kind of pushing us back, <v Speaker 3>for sure. <v Speaker 1>Okay, I didn't. I didn't mean chat. Oh, I didn't <v Speaker 1>expect you all push back in the room. <v Speaker 3>I'm not pushing I'm not pushing you back. I agree <v Speaker 3>with you. I I'm doing some self reflection in my <v Speaker 3>mind as well. That's probably why I'm quiet where I'm like, <v Speaker 3>would I laugh at this if if Casey nice Stat <v Speaker 3>said the same exact thing, I truly think I would. <v Speaker 1>But I think what happened in the room is that <v Speaker 1>I was involved in a ton of tweets and people <v Speaker 1>uh going in on her and then pulling me into <v Speaker 1>it and the drama around how mean and toxic people <v Speaker 1>are being. Yeah, and then I was trying to go <v Speaker 1>in with that and you were just laughing at the <v Speaker 1>funny little thing she said and didn't realize about all <v Speaker 1>that other stuff that's been happening on Twitter. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I was innocently laughing at the little quote at <v Speaker 3>the end. <v Speaker 1>I wasn't. I mean, yeah, I'm not. I'm not making <v Speaker 1>fun I'm laughing wet man. I don't care. I don't care. <v Speaker 1>I like that Justine. It's dumb. It's dumb that people <v Speaker 1>are making fun of her for that clip, Like if you, <v Speaker 1>if you, I don't even. I don't get it new. <v Speaker 1>Oh no, it's not New Mario. Cut World, It's it's <v Speaker 1>just New Mario. So silly. <v Speaker 3>That is such a silly thing to like dig in <v Speaker 3>on somebody. <v Speaker 1>I'm not even I'm not even Batman, because what Batman <v Speaker 1>doesn't even do that. I'm just a white knight at <v Speaker 1>this point. Just get me some armor and I'll wear <v Speaker 1>it proudly. Yeah, all right, I thought that clip was insane. <v Speaker 1>If you guys don't, then that's fine. That's whatever. We'll <v Speaker 1>go back to talking about Nintendo. Yeah. I mean I <v Speaker 1>think that there's just a few bad apples. Batman mask, <v Speaker 1>I got a spider Man outfit. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you could, You're spider Man. Spider Man, guys, be <v Speaker 3>spider Man. I could put that on. I think that <v Speaker 3>people agree with us. <v Speaker 1>Most of you. TikTok clip is me in a Spider <v Speaker 1>Man outfit, So really I should put it back on <v Speaker 1>and rehab the conversation. <v Speaker 3>We should just change this to a Nintendo in a <v Speaker 3>Marvel themed podcast. <v Speaker 1>And I love you, by the way. By the way, <v Speaker 1>I just I just didn't know what was happening. I <v Speaker 1>was very confused. <v Speaker 3>No, I because because I was laughing about it, and <v Speaker 3>because you seemed. <v Speaker 1>You that you hate women, so I was. <v Speaker 3>Please don't do this, guys. I love all girls. All <v Speaker 3>all women's are queens, okay, all of them. <v Speaker 1>Uh No, I mean I think I was laughing at it. <v Speaker 3>But I feel like you were actually offended by it, <v Speaker 3>and so I feel like I didn't know as much <v Speaker 3>as you know of offended. <v Speaker 1>What maybe offended? Is it the That's how it was. <v Speaker 3>Coming across you were maybe more. You saw more anger <v Speaker 3>in the chat while I saw harmless meming. You know <v Speaker 3>what I mean, I shouldn't say chat, I should say <v Speaker 3>X on Twitter and whatever. Okay, our chat is lovely <v Speaker 3>and they're great, and I, like I said, most people <v Speaker 3>agree with us. I just got a yes, queen, just <v Speaker 3>this whole pot out of the episode. No, I'm making <v Speaker 3>it two tiktoks out of this. <v Speaker 1>Actually, yeah, sure, I swipe back into with them. <v Speaker 3>Ah, family friendly neighborhood, nontendo, I don't even know where <v Speaker 3>we were. <v Speaker 1>Oh can I try and sell something now? Is this <v Speaker 1>a good time? This is a great time to sell something. No, <v Speaker 1>it feels like a bad transition. That was just the <v Speaker 1>next thing I saw in the doc game co compatibility. Uh, <v Speaker 1>don't downplay I don't know what that means. <v Speaker 3>Uh, don't downplay your h that that was them saying <v Speaker 3>that you got invited. <v Speaker 1>Oh would you're a great YouTuber? Oh yeah, let's go <v Speaker 1>back to defending me after that maybe not, maybe not? <v Speaker 3>Are you let's talk about the the AI quake too, <v Speaker 3>that Jeff, No. <v Speaker 1>That's start boring. Okay, sorry about that of you being right? <v Speaker 1>Do you want to go to those that's ten and eleven? Sure, sure, <v Speaker 1>I can't. I'm trying to find a good transition and nothing. <v Speaker 1>Nothing's hitting right. But the comparison and graphics of Peach <v Speaker 1>number three, that is cool. Let's do that. Yeah, here <v Speaker 1>it is. What do you what do you want? Is <v Speaker 1>the vibe killed? I mean, the ViBe's a little killed, <v Speaker 1>but we'll find it. It's gonna take time, but we'll <v Speaker 1>find it. I'm having a great time. I'm having a <v Speaker 1>great time. I don't know what just happened, and I'm honestly, <v Speaker 1>I am shocked at the response from the community. If <v Speaker 1>the response was what I think it was when I <v Speaker 1>looked over, No, it's it's not just I don't know <v Speaker 1>what's happening. No, it's not like that. It's not like that. <v Speaker 1>I can tell you. First, I thought that was going <v Speaker 1>to be such a nothing conversation and we would just <v Speaker 1>laugh at people making fun of her for saying New <v Speaker 1>Mario cart World and saying that a screen was fun. <v Speaker 1>I think that it was then, and I saw what <v Speaker 1>looked like a bunch of people being like agreeing with <v Speaker 1>the other way. <v Speaker 3>No no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Okay. I think that, <v Speaker 3>like I said, I think it was nothing conversation. I <v Speaker 3>think people just wanted to move on. And I think <v Speaker 3>even the people that like were laughing at her were <v Speaker 3>just like, you don't need. <v Speaker 1>To talk about this. Okay. I wanted to, but I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's your show. You can do whatever. The hell? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>this is this is it speaking of women? This is <v Speaker 1>means because queens the old Mario cott World and then <v Speaker 1>here's the new Mario Catt World. I just realized what <v Speaker 1>you did there. That's why I'm laughing. I mean to <v Speaker 1>do any kind of justifying here on how much better <v Speaker 1>this game actually does. Look, that's Mario Catt eight Deluxe, <v Speaker 1>and this is Mario cott World. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but is that Mario Kart eight Deluxe worth eighty <v Speaker 3>five years ago? <v Speaker 1>Eight years ago? Whenever? I'm just looking at two pictures <v Speaker 1>of Peach and seeing that one much, That's what I <v Speaker 1>was looking at, Yes, Queen, all right, next, Oh we <v Speaker 1>should just find the whole conversation of what of this episode? <v Speaker 1>I don't know how to how do you get to <v Speaker 1>the episode from the clip? Watchful videos down there? All right, <v Speaker 1>all right, you can hit play. This is on a <v Speaker 1>specific moment. We could find more, but and shout out <v Speaker 1>to Tim, who we love so dearly, by the way, <v Speaker 1>come back. He should. If you go back and watch <v Speaker 1>this episode, Tim and I have a half an hour <v Speaker 1>long debate about whether or not the switch to will <v Speaker 1>be four K sixty, with me saying it is so <v Speaker 1>obviously going to be and him kind of laughing at <v Speaker 1>me the whole time. It's pretty funny to go back <v Speaker 1>and watch. With all the love and respect in the world, <v Speaker 1>I'm not worried about it not looking four K sixty. <v Speaker 1>Four K sixty, No, man, no turn it up. <v Speaker 2>That doesn't happen. I just don't nah nah, four K <v Speaker 2>thirty sure. <v Speaker 1>Okay, Oh so you are willing to believe four K <v Speaker 1>just not sixty. <v Speaker 2>Oh no, that's my thing, this or that, it's just <v Speaker 2>not both. <v Speaker 1>You don't think. I mean, there's no shot. Okay, there's <v Speaker 1>no shot. I think I'm gonna say this right now, <v Speaker 1>there's no shot. The next Maria Cutt isn't four K sixty. <v Speaker 2>I think you're crazy to say love that shot and <v Speaker 2>with the AI that does change things. But like even then. <v Speaker 1>I just I struggle to believe the next eight, like <v Speaker 1>a new console no matter who it is, could come <v Speaker 1>out in twenty twenty five and be locked at ten <v Speaker 1>ADP and I feel. <v Speaker 2>Like, I mean, it wouldn't be locked. <v Speaker 1>Well yeah, but then if you're saying that we could <v Speaker 1>go up, I'd say two K four K to then say, okay, <v Speaker 1>Maria Cutt eight was sixty frames, but we're going back <v Speaker 1>to thirty like that? <v Speaker 2>Just do it all the time. <v Speaker 1>No, I feel like it's such a bad look. It's <v Speaker 1>such a bad look. And I don't the little leg <v Speaker 1>mule like, oh, look, another another eight years of a <v Speaker 1>of a console that you don't need to buy, and <v Speaker 1>I'm happy on my PlayStation, like Nintendo. Nintendo needs to <v Speaker 1>prepare yourself, bro, prepare yourself. Now. You might have been <v Speaker 1>right about that, but not for the reason that he thought, yeah, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>little does he know he's right. This whole conversation is <v Speaker 1>pretty good. At one point I even said, uh, I <v Speaker 1>even said like, haities two will probably come to switch <v Speaker 1>and be four K sixty and stuff like that, and <v Speaker 1>he's just like, oh, I don't I don't know what <v Speaker 1>to tell you. I know what I'm talking about. <v Speaker 3>I also, I just think that a lot of people <v Speaker 3>were just so you know, they they they look at <v Speaker 3>the switch compared to like the PS five, and they're like, <v Speaker 3>there's no way the next thing is going to be <v Speaker 3>even close, even compared. <v Speaker 1>It always made so much sense to me, Like we <v Speaker 1>we had ten eighty piece six with Mario Kart. You <v Speaker 1>can't do a new Mario Kart and not go up. <v Speaker 1>And what is up? I mean, if you move sixty up, <v Speaker 1>it's one twenty, which I never thought was going to happen. <v Speaker 1>So you move up the ten eighty and then you <v Speaker 1>get where you get four k unless you want a <v Speaker 1>half asset and find somewhere in the middle at two <v Speaker 1>k like ten years later from that Mario Kart. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I thought it would be four K sixty. There are <v Speaker 1>so many good clips. That whole part is pretty good. <v Speaker 1>Someone spamming raised the price in chat Yeah yeah, uh. <v Speaker 3>Of what of everything? They want they want it more, <v Speaker 3>They want to pay Nintendo more. <v Speaker 1>This is going to hell because the whole thing has <v Speaker 1>gone to hell. Ah, sure you can, you can a <v Speaker 1>great time. How any messages is Kim going in the <v Speaker 1>labor yet I get out of here? Are we not <v Speaker 1>in an hour? What are we at? <v Speaker 4>Uh? <v Speaker 1>Chat? Oh? We all were like, well over, we're at <v Speaker 1>two and a half hours. <v Speaker 3>No, we're not what we started at three. <v Speaker 1>It's almost five. Oh my god, give me some food, please? Chat? <v Speaker 1>What's the vibe you want me to end? You want <v Speaker 1>me to just get out of him with the vibes <v Speaker 1>like this? <v Speaker 3>I think the vibes are great. I think you're just <v Speaker 3>feeling some weirdness between me and you. But I'm having <v Speaker 3>a great time. <v Speaker 1>I I just want to watch it back because I <v Speaker 1>don't know what happened, I don't know where we where, <v Speaker 1>We decinct and we went awry? Who was we be? <v Speaker 2>And you? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you just said this weirdness between us. No, you <v Speaker 1>just said there was no. I meant you just said <v Speaker 1>you're feeling weirdness between us. <v Speaker 3>I'm saying you're feeling weirdness between us, but we're doing good. <v Speaker 1>That's what I said. Okay, okay, good, I'm glad we're <v Speaker 1>doing good. <v Speaker 3>You have you ever played that game where you try <v Speaker 3>to like you say this, you say a word at <v Speaker 3>the same time and then we try to sync up. <v Speaker 3>We should play that game. I think it would help <v Speaker 3>this this dynamic. Okay, do you know what I'm talking about? <v Speaker 2>What? <v Speaker 1>So you count to three and then. <v Speaker 3>You say any word at all, and then we try <v Speaker 3>to it. We try to link up and then connect <v Speaker 3>that word to another word. <v Speaker 1>Do we say the words the same time? Yeah? <v Speaker 3>So for example, said you say you said toothbrush, and <v Speaker 3>then I said windshield or something. Right, then we would <v Speaker 3>go both be like I would think bathroom mirror and <v Speaker 3>then hopefully you would also think bathroom mirror, and that's <v Speaker 3>how we would get or we would get to mirror. <v Speaker 1>You know what I mean. No, I don't get it, <v Speaker 1>but let's try it. If you don't understand the game, <v Speaker 1>how are we gonna play? No, well, give us I'll <v Speaker 1>figure it out on the fly. So three two one <v Speaker 1>we say the same thing. No, yeah, yeah, we were <v Speaker 1>locked in. We're locked in, all right, let's do it. <v Speaker 1>Count okay, three to one? Fun brush okay, fun toothbrush? Okay, Okay, <v Speaker 1>are you thinking of a word? Oh, we have to <v Speaker 1>be thinking of the same word. Okay, that's what we're <v Speaker 1>doing right now. We're locking in where our minds are conjointed. <v Speaker 1>I'm trying. I'm gonna try it. So fun and toothbrush? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>we gotta think of something. You can describe a toothbrush <v Speaker 1>that way. Come on, let's say it. Three two one okay, <v Speaker 1>three to one? Oh, I was gonna go electric? Okay, <v Speaker 1>what's fun about cleaning? Where do we go from here? <v Speaker 1>What do you do now that we keep going? We <v Speaker 1>keep going until we lock in, until we say the same. <v Speaker 1>It could take forever. So fun electric clean toothbrush? <v Speaker 3>No, now, we're just doing clean and electric? Oh so okay, yeah, <v Speaker 3>all right, I got one. <v Speaker 1>So three two one energy? <v Speaker 3>Oh see we're so this is the music because I'm <v Speaker 3>thinking it's electric? <v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, so music and energy okay, okay, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>Wait where are we at now? Music and energy? Oh? <v Speaker 1>Come on, we got this one. This one's this one's there? <v Speaker 3>You feel it? Music and energy? Do you feel it? <v Speaker 3>I'm telepathic. I don't know what to use, but then <v Speaker 3>it's not Then don't use that word. It's a simple word. <v Speaker 3>Connect with me. <v Speaker 1>Okay, three to one? Dancing? What did you say? Gig? <v Speaker 1>Music and energy? Go to energy? Well, music and energy? <v Speaker 1>What's the energy is dancing? I don't always dance when <v Speaker 1>I hear music Okay, is this fun for people? We <v Speaker 1>gotta get we gotta we gotta get through it. Dance <v Speaker 1>and gig, dance and gig. <v Speaker 3>I don't even know if I could bring us back <v Speaker 3>from this dance and gig. Let's try one more time <v Speaker 3>and then maybe we should start over. If the order <v Speaker 3>just we'll start. We got to get it, okay, three <v Speaker 3>two one musical rock musical? <v Speaker 1>What I can't think of one? I feel like we're <v Speaker 1>so close rock musical. Yeah, we just going to pick <v Speaker 1>a rock musical. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but we have to can't communicate it. We have <v Speaker 3>to telepathically. I feel like you and Ham would be <v Speaker 3>better at this any rock music me neither. <v Speaker 1>Let's just think of a musical. Okay, we can do <v Speaker 1>we can do this all musical musical. Three to one. <v Speaker 1>Book God, why were you do that? One? Wicked though? <v Speaker 2>One? <v Speaker 1>Right now now we're wicked and book a Mormon. We're screwed. <v Speaker 3>We can't go anywhere. I think we're screwed. All right, <v Speaker 3>we'll get it. We'll get it one of these days. <v Speaker 3>We'll get it one of these days. <v Speaker 1>They are so out of sink now, I know I <v Speaker 1>made it worse. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I feel like you're supposed to start over after <v Speaker 3>a little while. <v Speaker 1>I apologize for the vibes. I mean, I do when <v Speaker 1>I don't. I stand by everything that I said, but <v Speaker 1>I'm sorry that it went awry. We have been live <v Speaker 1>for two and a half hours, though usually it's an <v Speaker 1>hour long short, and we have to do a bonus <v Speaker 1>for the patreons because you're already behind on one bonus, <v Speaker 1>and I was also supposed to we're only doing one <v Speaker 1>bonus again. I don't know what to tell you. We're <v Speaker 1>going too long. I was also gonna show you my <v Speaker 1>satisfied grip, but that doesn't matter if you're not coming <v Speaker 1>into the bonus episode. I posted a YouTube video today, <v Speaker 1>like an actual like beat them ups video, and I <v Speaker 1>put too much work into it. I put a stupid <v Speaker 1>amount of work into it. So if you could check <v Speaker 1>that out, I'd really appreciate it. Do we have super. <v Speaker 3>Chats to hit? <v Speaker 2>Uh? <v Speaker 1>No? I think we talked about the ones that talk <v Speaker 1>about the grip. Ummm, talk about your grip. I'll get out. Guys, <v Speaker 1>we're not fighting. <v Speaker 3>I don't know why, but people think that you're really <v Speaker 3>cruel to us and we're like living one. <v Speaker 1>I get this one got weird this one, I understand <v Speaker 1>now every other one. I always get really annoyed when <v Speaker 1>people say comments about how I'm acting in the episode. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>this one actually got weird. <v Speaker 3>Did you get Yeah? <v Speaker 1>It was immed. No you, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna <v Speaker 1>say again what happened? Okay, I'm gonna break it down. No, <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna break it down in the timeline of events. <v Speaker 1>So I know, I saw the I Justine tweet. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I watched it like ten times. I couldn't figure out <v Speaker 1>what she had said. Then people went on to make <v Speaker 1>a bunch of video podcasts and videos just talking about <v Speaker 1>how she shouldn't have gone, she shouldn't have been invited. <v Speaker 1>She know, she was talking about how could she call <v Speaker 1>it fun? And I was like, what is happening? So <v Speaker 1>I retweeted it and I was like, why are we <v Speaker 1>making fun of this? Like I would have used the <v Speaker 1>same terminology, and I agree it was fun. Then those <v Speaker 1>people went live again made podcasts calling me out and <v Speaker 1>miss clickout, which is a friend of mine, and saying <v Speaker 1>that I was a Nintendo ambassador, so of course I'm <v Speaker 1>running defense for Nintendo, and like all the influences are <v Speaker 1>running defenseman Nintendo and then people were in the comment <v Speaker 1>saying like he was definitely invited and you can tell. <v Speaker 1>So then I got roped into all the crap that <v Speaker 1>she was getting roped into. So I was like, Okay, <v Speaker 1>when I go on my podcast, I just want to <v Speaker 1>point this out and how is this? <v Speaker 3>And then you you will piss you I've pissed. <v Speaker 1>No, you thought that it was like a little meme <v Speaker 1>thing that we were going to laugh at, I think <v Speaker 1>in a nice way, in like, in a lighthearted way. <v Speaker 1>You thought it was going to be like a oh, <v Speaker 1>she said, fun. Isn't that like KITCHI? Yeah, I guess <v Speaker 1>I didn't do my own research. No, you didn't have to. <v Speaker 1>I didn't set it up right more angry. I jumped <v Speaker 1>right into the video without any explanation for you, and <v Speaker 1>we weren't in sync with how like I've kind of <v Speaker 1>just been fed up with it. And then I was like, <v Speaker 1>why are you laughing? I'm trying to be fed up <v Speaker 1>with it, And then I was trying to explain it <v Speaker 1>to you, and like then I was getting frustrated, and <v Speaker 1>then it got to the point where it felt like <v Speaker 1>I was overman explaining and batmanning and White nighting because <v Speaker 1>I was trying to bring you into like this whole <v Speaker 1>thing that's been happening online when it wasn't supposed to <v Speaker 1>be that whole thing. And then I got frustrated, admittedly <v Speaker 1>at you, but it's not your fault. It's just you're <v Speaker 1>the guy in the room that I was like, Okay, <v Speaker 1>now this is getting weird, but I'm not upset with you, <v Speaker 1>if that makes sense. No, I believe you. I'm not <v Speaker 1>upsetting there. So that's what happened. And then I was like, Okay, <v Speaker 1>this whole thing's gone to shit. And then I looked <v Speaker 1>at the chat and everyone was saying Batman, which at <v Speaker 1>that point I was. I was in full cape and <v Speaker 1>armor and I was about to jump from a tall <v Speaker 1>building to save a woman in distress. So at that <v Speaker 1>point I was like okay, yeah, and I just leaned <v Speaker 1>in because I'm like, yeah, I'm Batman. But I was <v Speaker 1>also like, oh, does chat also think this other way? <v Speaker 1>So now I've just opened up a whole can of <v Speaker 1>worms and the vibe just went to shit because of me, <v Speaker 1>not because of you. <v Speaker 3>I think the vibe is great. I'm still having a <v Speaker 3>great time. Does that make sense? I think I was <v Speaker 3>just yeah, I think I was just trying to mask <v Speaker 3>a ybe. <v Speaker 1>No I quit. Everybody's like, he's not coming back. He's <v Speaker 1>not coming back. This is the last time we see Max. <v Speaker 1>No I need you back, especially because I don't think <v Speaker 1>Ham's here next week either. He's telling I don't know <v Speaker 1>if we ever said, but he's in Japan. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Ham is in Japan right now. And that's why I'm here, <v Speaker 3>and that's why I'm ruining, ruining the show. My vibes <v Speaker 3>are killing the show. <v Speaker 1>But I do stand by what I said. She just <v Speaker 1>said it. She said it was a new Mario card game. <v Speaker 1>It's it is the new Mario card World one and two. <v Speaker 1>The screen is fun. <v Speaker 3>Can I also say that? I also stand by what <v Speaker 3>you say. I think it's ridiculous to make like such <v Speaker 3>a big deal out of this, to be angry. I <v Speaker 3>do think it sounds what I. <v Speaker 1>Shouldn't have even mentioned. It's because I think it's because <v Speaker 1>I shouldn't have mentioned the woman thing. I also I <v Speaker 1>shouldn't even have said that. Yeah, maybe because I shouldn't <v Speaker 1>even put that on her, let alone everything else. I <v Speaker 1>do think that's what the issue was for those people. <v Speaker 1>But I shouldn't have mentioned it. My point is I've <v Speaker 1>I know I've said the same thing. I know I've <v Speaker 1>called the screen fun. I know i've said fun. People <v Speaker 1>don't get mad when I say it. So I was like, <v Speaker 1>why are you getting mad when she says it? Oh, <v Speaker 1>I wonder why that was what? That was my thing. <v Speaker 1>I shouldn't even have mentioned that. <v Speaker 3>I feel like that's what gets the ball rolling. I <v Speaker 3>will say that. I feel like if Casey Unitestat or <v Speaker 3>someone else that isn't known for being a video gamer <v Speaker 3>said something similar, we would have got a similar troll. <v Speaker 1>But I think what starts the bandwagon of hate. I <v Speaker 1>watched Casey nic SAT's video. He even said like, I <v Speaker 1>don't know what this thing is. <v Speaker 2>Like. <v Speaker 1>His whole thing was like, I'm not a guy. His <v Speaker 1>whole video about the switch to experience was about how <v Speaker 1>he was upset at how hard it was to record <v Speaker 1>anything in the room because the room was dark. He <v Speaker 1>fairly even cared about the switch too. Yeah, you know, <v Speaker 1>I don't even know. Honestly, Casey's like, seems like a <v Speaker 1>really nice guy and he lives in New York. But <v Speaker 1>other than just being an influencer with a lodge following, <v Speaker 1>I don't know why he was there, but nobody mentions that. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, I mean I think that it's just like <v Speaker 3>I said, I think it's less less loud. <v Speaker 1>Why wasn't I there, that's my question. You were there, <v Speaker 1>but I wasn't invited to be He wasn't invited. Guys, <v Speaker 1>we can we get out of here. I would. What <v Speaker 1>are you doing trying to end? You won't let me <v Speaker 1>get fired? <v Speaker 3>Guys, I'm getting fired. This is it. This is my <v Speaker 3>last episode. <v Speaker 1>Maybe you should just do the show next week. All right, <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna start. I'm starting the music. Thanking to the <v Speaker 1>Patreon so much for being here and being a part <v Speaker 1>of this mega long episode, megal long. That might not <v Speaker 1>be mega long if I cut it down, viewers dropped <v Speaker 1>to two point nine and two point two in minutes. <v Speaker 1>Yet we don't go two and a half hours, and <v Speaker 1>we never have over two thousand people watching, so it's <v Speaker 1>still really good. It's a switch to screen glass or plastic. <v Speaker 1>I actually don't know. I didn't I didn't test it. <v Speaker 1>Should have tapped it. I should have tapped it. I <v Speaker 1>didn't think about that. Actually, we only got to hold <v Speaker 1>the switch very like for as long as I Justine <v Speaker 1>held it was about as long as we actually got <v Speaker 1>to hold the switch other than when I played Breath <v Speaker 1>of the Wild. I got it for like five minutes. <v Speaker 1>But I was so busy trying to like film Breath <v Speaker 1>of the Wild that I didn't think about it. I <v Speaker 1>read some of these super chats in the in the <v Speaker 1>Patreon if we even make it there. I love you guys, <v Speaker 1>like comment. Make sure to rate it so high. Rate <v Speaker 1>this episode like five stars. Why wouldn't you? It was <v Speaker 1>the best. It was the best episode ever. But it's <v Speaker 1>the second best the Max has been in It's pretty high. <v Speaker 1>I've been in many episodes in the house. I was <v Speaker 1>trying to make a joke, all right, and if I could, <v Speaker 1>if I could tell you anything about this episode, it <v Speaker 1>was clean, it was crisp, and boy was it was fun. <v Speaker 1>I might have to put that on a shot after all. <v Speaker 3>Bye, guys,
