<v Speaker 1>And evidently we should be live on YouTube dot com raight. <v Speaker 2>Now YouTube who or if you're listening after the fact, <v Speaker 2>my name is Woodhawker, his name is Hermantha. Well hold <v Speaker 2>on together. We are very excited about the switch too, <v Speaker 2>because it's it's it's a new season of the podcast. <v Speaker 1>Baby, welcome back, We're here, We're doing it. I was <v Speaker 1>trying to fade out the music. I couldn't cut and <v Speaker 1>do it at the same time. <v Speaker 2>Only one guy cut to me. Now now now, oh <v Speaker 2>it took so long, guys, Oh it happened. Oh baby, <v Speaker 2>it happened. <v Speaker 1>It happened, happened. <v Speaker 2>Switch to you know what I was thinking would be <v Speaker 2>a really funny video for me to make at some <v Speaker 2>point this week on week Nintendo Switched three rumors. I <v Speaker 2>should have you seen these leaked shells on Reddit of <v Speaker 2>the Switch three, Like, what what are they gonna call it? <v Speaker 2>What's the name gonna be? Can we can we speculate <v Speaker 2>about the hardware? <v Speaker 1>This whole channel is about speculating things that do not exist. <v Speaker 2>Yet this I'm over the Switch too, to be honest, <v Speaker 2>I want this episode to be all about the Switch <v Speaker 2>three leaks and rumors. I need to know now I'm <v Speaker 2>predicting a twenty thirty four release window. I'm thinking it's <v Speaker 2>going to have the power of a PlayStation five pro space. <v Speaker 1>Can you imagine a PS five pro in twenty thirty Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Oh god, I'm so I'm actually so excited. I made <v Speaker 2>a reaction video on my main channel yesterday the Thursday, <v Speaker 2>Thursday the sixteenth, they revealed it. Sure everybody, every everything <v Speaker 2>about this console got leaked before it released. We couldn't <v Speaker 2>even get away with being surprised on the release date <v Speaker 2>of the trailer because a few days beforehand, Nate the <v Speaker 2>Hay and some other industry insiders were like, yeah, it's <v Speaker 2>happening in the morning of the sixteenth, We're going to <v Speaker 2>get a reveal trailer. And Nintendo really I feel, I <v Speaker 2>actually do feel bad for them. They couldn't catch any <v Speaker 2>slack with this whole reveal window, Like no part of <v Speaker 2>it was kept secret. I don't know what is happening <v Speaker 2>within Nintendo that they can't control this or keep things <v Speaker 2>secret right now, like I know with the hardware leaks. <v Speaker 2>My theory is it was a disaster for them because <v Speaker 2>I think they probably wanted to do something with a <v Speaker 2>switch to last year at the very least or reveal it, <v Speaker 2>if not, maybe even release it. So they started going <v Speaker 2>into development I would say like nine ten months ago. <v Speaker 2>And as soon as you start developing a console and <v Speaker 2>you're putting the hardware out there and manufacturing out there, <v Speaker 2>it's eventually going to get leaked. People are going to <v Speaker 2>leak it. But when it comes down to like the <v Speaker 2>reveal date of a trailer, like at that point, who <v Speaker 2>are you, who do you have? You gotta look around <v Speaker 2>the office, You're gonna look around the building. <v Speaker 1>I I agree, But here, here's the thing that we're <v Speaker 1>here's a piece of information. I think that maybe we're <v Speaker 1>not touching upon is the fact that we kind of <v Speaker 1>did this. This is sort of our fault, right. <v Speaker 2>No no, no, no, no no no no no. <v Speaker 1>No no no, because because Nintendo fans, right, and gaming <v Speaker 1>fans in general, right, are so incessant about like wanting <v Speaker 1>to know what the next thing is that we can <v Speaker 1>tell that. <v Speaker 2>I love them, No. <v Speaker 1>I understand that, but I'm just saying I feel. <v Speaker 2>I'm leaking it though I'm not nate the hate with <v Speaker 2>the industry inside of information. Yeah, I actually had information when. <v Speaker 1>You're literally holding you're literally okay, but. <v Speaker 2>I didn't leak it. I didn't leak Itanke leaked it, <v Speaker 2>and then I talk about it. But when Ganky sent <v Speaker 2>me this, yeah, hold on, let me retol what I'm saying. <v Speaker 1>Let's think about this. <v Speaker 2>Let me what I'm saying. Nothing to do with Yankee <v Speaker 2>at all. All that console. I I had information about <v Speaker 2>the console from people that had seen it. I could <v Speaker 2>have leaked certain things, but one I A didn't want <v Speaker 2>to end up being wrong for whatever reason. It's so <v Speaker 2>much pressure, and and I do like to be right, <v Speaker 2>and B I just don't. <v Speaker 3>I don't. <v Speaker 2>I didn't want to get those people in trouble. See. <v Speaker 2>I don't want to be that guy. It's the same like, okay, <v Speaker 2>here's my proof that Zelda switched behind your head right now, <v Speaker 2>if you wouldn't mind cutting to you. You know how <v Speaker 2>long I had that for in my house and a <v Speaker 2>video ready to go before Nintendo even revealed it. Two weeks. <v Speaker 2>Two weeks. <v Speaker 1>That's what we call restraint, folks. I could have I <v Speaker 1>would have restrained, king you are. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why I care so much, but I <v Speaker 2>do honestly feel bad for Nintendo. I feel like they <v Speaker 2>should get to reveal. They should get to reveal their <v Speaker 2>things before other people. If someone else had put up <v Speaker 2>an unboxing video, I would have instantly made my public instantly. <v Speaker 2>I would have been like, well someone else has done <v Speaker 2>it or whatever. Sure, Sure, I don't know. Maybe maybe <v Speaker 2>I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't care. Maybe I should <v Speaker 2>be like maybe I should be like the hate. Maybe <v Speaker 2>I shouldn't care about anyone but myself. So somebody come <v Speaker 2>back to me. <v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, all right. <v Speaker 2>That was a joke. Nobody gets my jokes. I have <v Speaker 2>no hate for Nate. <v Speaker 1>We're going to talk about that. <v Speaker 2>I have no hate. That was a joke. He's a <v Speaker 2>good guy. <v Speaker 1>Somebody in Chad said that adding fuel to the fire <v Speaker 1>doesn't make us innocent, which, by the way, don't like <v Speaker 1>the terminology of innocent versus guilty, right because. <v Speaker 2>Oh, I thought you were got to say. I don't <v Speaker 2>like the analogy right now with what's happening in La No. <v Speaker 2>What No, that was my first thought right now, Maybe <v Speaker 2>don't use fire to stop just stop. <v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay. <v Speaker 2>What I'm trying to say though, is that still I'm <v Speaker 2>so excited. <v Speaker 1>I don't I don't. I don't like to call it <v Speaker 1>being innocent versus guilty. Right, But at the end of <v Speaker 1>the day, right, it does feel like right now, the <v Speaker 1>like Nintendo's like feelings on the matter is like, Okay, God, <v Speaker 1>I guess you guys already know it. Well, so here <v Speaker 1>it is. <v Speaker 2>I think it was very clear. We're gonna watch the <v Speaker 2>trailer again today, but I think it was very clear <v Speaker 2>by the trailer they dropped where they said absolutely nothing. <v Speaker 2>It was just two minutes of silence as they showed <v Speaker 2>us what we already know. Yeah, I think it's clear. <v Speaker 2>They were like, all right, here's what you already know. <v Speaker 2>We're gonna keep some secrets, but here's the other thing <v Speaker 2>with that, and we're gonna get into it. They're not. <v Speaker 2>They're not doing a direct and actually talking about the <v Speaker 2>features and the console until April, which maybe they have <v Speaker 2>a whole plan, man, but that gives three more months <v Speaker 2>for leakas to ruin certain things about this console, for <v Speaker 2>more information to come out before Nintendo gets a chance <v Speaker 2>to talk about it. <v Speaker 1>I don't worry. So do you think it's April April? Well, <v Speaker 1>it's obviously April direct. Do you think is April release? Also? <v Speaker 2>Like, no, so direct, We're a little all over the place, <v Speaker 2>but no, it's not coming until earliest June. Okay, and <v Speaker 2>the reason for that I didn't even have my dock <v Speaker 2>up right now. Hold on, let me pull. I'm so <v Speaker 2>excited to go. <v Speaker 1>I'm doing such a good job today. <v Speaker 2>Proud of you for that is in the dock that <v Speaker 2>I have that I'm opening right now. <v Speaker 1>Doing great. Man, We're all proud of you. And Chad, <v Speaker 1>all your jokes are landing. <v Speaker 4>I will fire you again. I have no qualms, absolutely <v Speaker 4>none whatsoever. I have so many notes in here. Let <v Speaker 4>me find the right one. The leak question at my <v Speaker 4>reaction revealed date. <v Speaker 2>Here we go. So someone pointed out over here and <v Speaker 2>I think you can cut to me safely now that <v Speaker 2>they're doing all these preview experiences right of the hands <v Speaker 2>on the console, and they're all called previews, so this <v Speaker 2>is already another leak. No, this is on Nintendo's website <v Speaker 2>and the last preview listed is June first, so you <v Speaker 2>would and this is in Seoul, so you would think <v Speaker 2>if they're doing a preview on June first, then it's <v Speaker 2>probably the console is probably not going to be out. <v Speaker 2>I mean, what's the point, what's the what's not New <v Speaker 2>York Train going on? <v Speaker 1>Over there? <v Speaker 2>What's that you don't know? How do you not know <v Speaker 2>about this? <v Speaker 1>I know that they're doing something. <v Speaker 2>It was in the real trailer. <v Speaker 1>No I know, I saw that. But I'm just saying, like, <v Speaker 1>we are going on that and we're going to get. <v Speaker 2>Probably because Nintendo does these events really annoyingly. It's the <v Speaker 2>same with the museum. They raffle off entries, right, so <v Speaker 2>you need to have a Nintendo account, you need to <v Speaker 2>apply to go, and then it's a raffle chance of <v Speaker 2>getting in and it's pretty limited spaces, so I think <v Speaker 2>the chance of us getting in is very slim. Unfortunately, <v Speaker 2>I'm going to try. Actually, they go live now like <v Speaker 2>the you can and I think like today, like at <v Speaker 2>this point today you can enter the raffle, which I'll try, <v Speaker 2>but we're not going to get in unfortunately. <v Speaker 1>But never say never. <v Speaker 2>Man, it's not gonna happen. I've tried. I've tried so <v Speaker 2>many of these events in the past. But anyway, June <v Speaker 2>first is the last preview, so earliest thing that a <v Speaker 2>couple weeks after that, you would think would be the <v Speaker 2>earliest it could release at that point, because who's doing <v Speaker 2>a hands on preview the day before it releases? So <v Speaker 2>I would give it two weeks, right, But even still <v Speaker 2>doing a preview in the month it releases almost feels <v Speaker 2>a little close. So June July somewhere around there. I <v Speaker 2>don't think it'll be any later, because you have two <v Speaker 2>big windows in a year. Nintendo, for some reason, does <v Speaker 2>march a lot. That's not technically a big window. That <v Speaker 2>just works for them because it's far removed from what <v Speaker 2>other companies usually do, so they like kind of capitalize <v Speaker 2>that early space. But other than that, you have two <v Speaker 2>big windows and that summer and holiday, you don't want <v Speaker 2>to release it, I think any later than June July, <v Speaker 2>otherwise you're missing summer. And I don't think you want <v Speaker 2>to release it for a holiday season anywhere other than <v Speaker 2>like October, October November. And I don't think they would <v Speaker 2>reveal it now. This is all me just talking out loud. <v Speaker 2>I don't think they would reveal it now to release <v Speaker 2>it at the end of the year almost a year away, <v Speaker 2>that's nuts, right. So, and if you look at Nintendo's <v Speaker 2>track history, they usually reveal it a few months later, <v Speaker 2>they talk about it, and then a couple months later <v Speaker 2>they release it. So I think late June, mid to <v Speaker 2>late June is one. We'll see it. That's my guests, right, <v Speaker 2>that's my guests. It's honestly too far away, I think <v Speaker 2>too far away. <v Speaker 1>It is important, by the way, uh nine super chat <v Speaker 1>by Satisfy Gaming. <v Speaker 2>On right now, Satisfy. I have something on the table <v Speaker 2>that I'm now realizing maybe you shouldn't be here. Oh well, <v Speaker 2>you can tell me if that should be here on Satisfied. <v Speaker 2>Shout out to Satisfy. On an unrelated note, I have <v Speaker 2>these these switches here on the table of my little renders. <v Speaker 2>So a couple of things here, guys. One, I want <v Speaker 2>to look through the podcast episodes of today, and I've <v Speaker 2>taken screenshots and I've built a PowerPoint presentation of every <v Speaker 2>episode that we did with switch to in the title. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>every single one, barring maybe one that was a little embellished, <v Speaker 2>ended up being a real leak for this actual thing <v Speaker 2>that I'm holding and the actual console. So I want <v Speaker 2>to go through that because I think it's interesting that <v Speaker 2>almost every time I did a video was switched to <v Speaker 2>in the title, which wasn't as many as you'd think. <v Speaker 2>When we look at it, everyone said clickbait, and then <v Speaker 2>everyone ended up being correct. I'm just out here reporting <v Speaker 2>the facts, you know what I mean. But on my <v Speaker 2>main channel, I wanted to wait to do a leak <v Speaker 2>video until I knew for sure that everything I had <v Speaker 2>was guaranteed to be true. I didn't want to have <v Speaker 2>anything in there that would age poorly. I didn't want <v Speaker 2>to become a leak and Room, a channel that uploads <v Speaker 2>leak roomors every day. I really built my main channel <v Speaker 2>around content that is relevant all the time, at least recently, <v Speaker 2>and I just didn't want to keep reporting on silly leaks, <v Speaker 2>so I waited. I did one big video and I <v Speaker 2>had a switch to for a three D printed one, <v Speaker 2>and I think if you go back and watch that video, <v Speaker 2>it held up, holds up perfectly. I don't think there's <v Speaker 2>anything in there that is ended up not coming to fruition, <v Speaker 2>however you pronounce that. So this is the one that <v Speaker 2>I three D printed. This is the one Ganky went <v Speaker 2>viral with. They sent it to me like literally, this <v Speaker 2>is the one that went viral on the internet. It <v Speaker 2>even has like their little Ganky confidential sticker on the back, <v Speaker 2>which I was telling Ham, I think that's so funny <v Speaker 2>that they took this to Cees with stickers all over <v Speaker 2>it that said confidential, and then we're just like, come <v Speaker 2>look at it, come check it out. Everybody take pictures <v Speaker 2>of it, upload it. Their model is the exact same <v Speaker 2>dimensions as mine, even to the point where I can <v Speaker 2>take my three D printed joy Con and I can <v Speaker 2>put it perfectly into their model that was made after <v Speaker 2>the switch, which makes me feel even more confident about <v Speaker 2>my video and this little fake thing that I three <v Speaker 2>D printed. Also, this is really cool. They put like <v Speaker 2>magnets in it, and the switch on this one actually <v Speaker 2>works this like ye movable switch things. <v Speaker 1>Got a few super chats, by the way, thinks for <v Speaker 1>the super chats, one from Munching munch Lax is asking <v Speaker 1>if we're going to talk about Mario Kart nine. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, trust me, we have so many things on the <v Speaker 2>doc to get through and we and they've had a. <v Speaker 1>Very interesting point about it that I do want to <v Speaker 1>remember for later, which they said that it looks like <v Speaker 1>in the video that it starts with twenty four. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I want to. I want to break down the <v Speaker 2>Mario cott trailer because I really didn't get to break <v Speaker 2>that down in my actual video. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>And then also super chat from techis tech I don't know, <v Speaker 1>said I signed up an event in Milano, Milan. <v Speaker 2>Oh. <v Speaker 1>I hope I get in. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I hope you get into. I hope you get into. <v Speaker 2>I'm definitely I'm going to sign up for the New <v Speaker 2>York one. Maybe I'll eat my words and I'll get lucky. <v Speaker 2>But I feel like nintender, if they see my name, <v Speaker 2>they're going to be like, not that guy. <v Speaker 1>Well we sign up under my name, then right. <v Speaker 2>Well, between me, you, Bob ham E, Max, like anyone <v Speaker 2>we can get to sign up. We'll put it in <v Speaker 2>the group chat for later and we'll also if you're <v Speaker 2>if you live, everybody sign up. Everybody sign up for <v Speaker 2>the New York. <v Speaker 1>We can tell Scoot to sign up and then if <v Speaker 1>he can come, then he'll come out for you. <v Speaker 2>What I was going to say is, if you don't <v Speaker 2>want to go, if you don't want to go, you <v Speaker 2>have no interest in going, sign up for me, and <v Speaker 2>if you get it, let me have it. <v Speaker 1>Not Nintendo clipping this right now, by the way. <v Speaker 2>Let me know it. Trust me. I'll pay you. I'll <v Speaker 2>give you a little gift. I'll give you a little hug. <v Speaker 2>I'll give you anything you want, not anything but. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo's going to update the page to say that a <v Speaker 1>matching idea is required. <v Speaker 2>If anyone wants to help me out, I would really <v Speaker 2>appreciate it. All right, I think we should just off <v Speaker 2>the rip, watch this trailer. Let's do it, and then <v Speaker 2>go from there. Obviously we've all seen this. Some of <v Speaker 2>us have seen this ten times at this point, if <v Speaker 2>not more. I'm going to have the sound up for it, <v Speaker 2>audio listeners. I'm going to do my best to walk <v Speaker 2>you through it. But let's not lie you've already seen it. <v Speaker 2>I don't want to. I don't want to break it <v Speaker 2>down too much because my main video already breaks it <v Speaker 2>down repeating myself. But I do love that it starts <v Speaker 2>with the original switch as a reference point here and <v Speaker 2>already that original switches. <v Speaker 1>You have no audio on this or no? <v Speaker 2>Okay? Sorry, go ahead. Well it's it's up to full, <v Speaker 2>so it's it's on you. Oh I'm asking if you okay, <v Speaker 2>go ahead? No love audio, it's just music, is it? <v Speaker 2>Go ahead? Play it. I don't hear nothing. I don't <v Speaker 2>hear nothing either. This is working before short, you work <v Speaker 2>on fixing that because we're gonna need that in a minute. Anyway. <v Speaker 2>I love I don't love. It's funny to me how <v Speaker 2>dated the original Switch already looks. I talked about this <v Speaker 2>in my leak in my leak video, the one where <v Speaker 2>I was like showing you this console where the previous, <v Speaker 2>the previous Nintendo hardware always instantly looks like a toy <v Speaker 2>once the new one comes out. I went on a <v Speaker 2>whole spiel about that that the editor cut down because <v Speaker 2>I did rant for a long time. But that extends <v Speaker 2>past the Switch. I honestly think if you think of <v Speaker 2>anything like going from the DS, like the original DS, <v Speaker 2>to even the DS Light or even the three DS, <v Speaker 2>and then you look back at the original consoles, they <v Speaker 2>suddenly they look so cheap, they look like toys. You <v Speaker 2>go from the GBA to the Game Boy Advance sp <v Speaker 2>it's like this nice, sleek, like awesome handheld that still <v Speaker 2>looks nice today. The GBA just kind of looks like <v Speaker 2>a little leap Frog toy with I actually love the <v Speaker 2>way it looks. But my point is, every time we <v Speaker 2>upgrade Nintendo hardware the previous, when it comes to handhelds, <v Speaker 2>mostly the previous hardware instantly looks like cheaper and more <v Speaker 2>like a toy. And I think that's exactly the feeling <v Speaker 2>that we're gonna have now. And also when we get <v Speaker 2>our hands on this new sleek black console, it is <v Speaker 2>to sound. <v Speaker 1>It's not I feel like it's coming from there because <v Speaker 1>I'm getting no audio on my end. <v Speaker 2>Is that going to affect the other thing that the <v Speaker 2>other thing? No, Okay, then don't worry about this. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we've all heard it. It's just some nice little ASMR <v Speaker 2>sound effects. True. Anything other than that here in the <v Speaker 2>actual design is again all stuff that we unfortunately knew about. <v Speaker 2>There are a lot of people that feel very underwhelmed <v Speaker 2>by this, and it's really not well it's twofold, I think, <v Speaker 2>because it's underwhelming because everything was leaked in ruined anyway, <v Speaker 2>So no matter what was shown by Nintendo, there would <v Speaker 2>have been an era of we've already seen this. But <v Speaker 2>you couple that with the unfortunate nature of this thing <v Speaker 2>really just being a switch. Yeah, like it really is <v Speaker 2>just a switch. Usually with Nintendo, when you get a <v Speaker 2>handheld that looks just like the previous handheld, it's usually <v Speaker 2>within the same generation. Like all the DS's kind of <v Speaker 2>look like a little clamshell thing, but improvements, you know, <v Speaker 2>the original Ambassador three DS to the new three DSXCEL, <v Speaker 2>it's still like the Rectangle Oval, the Rectangle climbshell. It's <v Speaker 2>always within a generation, but when you move out of <v Speaker 2>the generation, it's usually vastly different, with tons of new <v Speaker 2>gimmicks or some new way to play. And this time, <v Speaker 2>other than the little Man houses that we've seen, it <v Speaker 2>is the same thing, and seemingly so far not it <v Speaker 2>doesn't really have its own gimmick. I don't think the <v Speaker 2>mouse thing holds up as like that extreme of a <v Speaker 2>gimmick at this point. <v Speaker 1>Unless Nintendo's starting their own their own entire os we <v Speaker 1>I mean, yeah, we see they do, but they don't <v Speaker 1>write like it's not. <v Speaker 2>I mean, so on its face value, it is underwhelming <v Speaker 2>for those two reasons. Yeah, there are some other secrets <v Speaker 2>they might have. There could be some software side secrets. <v Speaker 2>We talked about possibly casting the switch to the to <v Speaker 2>the dock so you can get the two screens. I <v Speaker 2>don't know if that's possible. I still don't know if <v Speaker 2>I'm leaning into that being real, but that is something <v Speaker 2>that would be on the software side. They're still hiding <v Speaker 2>what that extra little button does that used to have <v Speaker 2>a C on it, but now they've removed it. I've <v Speaker 2>seen a lot of people talking about how it could <v Speaker 2>mean chat or community, and maybe they're adding in a <v Speaker 2>lot more like interaction online between people and their friends, <v Speaker 2>lists and players online, which would make a lot of <v Speaker 2>sense for releasing with Mario Kart, which is an online game, <v Speaker 2>giving people a way of actually communicating. So that's a <v Speaker 2>weird thing to get excited for, because everything ever has <v Speaker 2>ways of communicating. But when you've gone eight years with <v Speaker 2>radio silence and a crappy mobile app, you'll take anything, <v Speaker 2>you know. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>There's also the USB port on top of the actual <v Speaker 1>console itself now, right, so. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's exciting. I talked about that in my video. <v Speaker 1>Well you think mouse and keyboard, right, you know? <v Speaker 2>Maybe? I mean that's so really having two USB slots <v Speaker 2>has become pretty standard with these handhelds now, mostly so <v Speaker 2>that you can charge the handheld while also having something <v Speaker 2>else plugged in. But it does also, as you're pointing out, <v Speaker 2>lean into there's mouse functionality here. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it opens up the possibility for more peripherals. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, more peripherals, but also more accessories. You're right, But <v Speaker 2>also like if we're leaning into this mouse thing, it <v Speaker 2>depends on what context. But sure, maybe we can just <v Speaker 2>plug in an actual mouse. Now, maybe we can do <v Speaker 2>a lot of things that we might need these two slots. <v Speaker 2>What maybe when you dock it, there might be something <v Speaker 2>that you might want to plug in the top while <v Speaker 2>it's docked. Like, I really you never know with Nintendo <v Speaker 2>they I mean, this is all probably what ships with <v Speaker 2>the switch, but who knows if Nintendo has an actual <v Speaker 2>first party device that you can get on top of <v Speaker 2>this something think about like a connect, right, I don't <v Speaker 2>want it to be a connect, no, but something like <v Speaker 2>that where Nintendo has made some device you can buy <v Speaker 2>that works with the switch, which could be something like <v Speaker 2>a camera. I've heard people talking about a camera you <v Speaker 2>can connect. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I do. I do like that. The that the <v Speaker 1>I mean, like remember the thing that you slid on <v Speaker 1>for the shoulder buttons on the old switch, Yeah? Is <v Speaker 1>that now is basically just a thing that you just <v Speaker 1>snap on. <v Speaker 2>I like that way more. The sliding thing always got <v Speaker 2>stuck for me. It was kind of annoying to you. <v Speaker 2>It's not too bad, oh hole, I mean these sticks <v Speaker 2>are much bigger. Actually, that's one difference on the Gankee <v Speaker 2>switch over mine. So mine had these little original switch nubs, <v Speaker 2>and again I think that's because you can cut to <v Speaker 2>me for a second while I show this. I think <v Speaker 2>that's because this switch I have is the right dimensions. <v Speaker 2>And this came from warehouses that are making switch accessories, <v Speaker 2>so what they needed was the correct dimensions of the console, <v Speaker 2>not necessarily the correct dimensions of things like the thumbsticks, <v Speaker 2>because those aren't covered up or used in accessories nine <v Speaker 2>to nine percent of the time with these companies like <v Speaker 2>D Brand, for example, this is actually a one for <v Speaker 2>one model of the switch to based on seeing a <v Speaker 2>switch too. So not only is it the right size, <v Speaker 2>but it has things like these big thick thumbsticks, which <v Speaker 2>I think look nice, justn't move right. No three D print. <v Speaker 2>I think they're nicer, they're definitely larger, and I'm hoping <v Speaker 2>that in part of all of this, as a lot <v Speaker 2>of people are, and I think Nintendo is showing it <v Speaker 2>off by twirling the thumbstick in the thumb in the <v Speaker 2>video hall effects sticks or something that essentially won't drift right. <v Speaker 2>Funny though that immediately after that they do drift. They <v Speaker 2>literally they do little burnouts right here. They're literally drifting <v Speaker 2>right here. I saw someone tweet that it was very funny. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I like these slide on things to him. I think <v Speaker 2>they're really cute and cool, and they look like they're <v Speaker 2>easy to take on and take off. I think on <v Speaker 2>their own they look a little silly because they're like <v Speaker 2>little ovals. But yeah, but you know, yeah, I mean <v Speaker 2>it's no different. <v Speaker 1>And then people were talking about the socket for where <v Speaker 1>they connect as being a potential failure point. <v Speaker 2>So yes, you feel about that. I actually you can <v Speaker 2>come back to me again. I tweeted about that. So <v Speaker 2>there was a tweet I can bring it up in <v Speaker 2>a second or later, a tweet that was going viral <v Speaker 2>with like two hundred thousand likes. It was someone drew <v Speaker 2>a picture, a cartoon picture of this little connector on <v Speaker 2>the inside snapping off. Now, Bob posted a video talking <v Speaker 2>about how it's no different to a USB C drive <v Speaker 2>because us to be S drives have that same little <v Speaker 2>thing in there, but you can't snap it off because <v Speaker 2>once you put the thing in it sits flush. Have <v Speaker 2>you ever snapped off one of those? No, of course not, <v Speaker 2>I thought I believe me. I'm just I'm just asking no. <v Speaker 2>I think that that's stupid too. <v Speaker 1>I'm using you. <v Speaker 2>As my my talking reference. So I put up a <v Speaker 2>video that actually got a little bit of traction about <v Speaker 2>this because I have that nub in here in my <v Speaker 2>three D print and even my plastic one. Once I <v Speaker 2>put this in, there's no way of breaking that. Like <v Speaker 2>you're going to break the joy con and break the <v Speaker 2>casing on the actual switch long before you break that <v Speaker 2>little thing on the inside. The only way I can <v Speaker 2>see this being broken is it is pretty easy to <v Speaker 2>get your finger in there, and like, I don't know <v Speaker 2>if you wanted to break it, if you were a. <v Speaker 1>Dust dust is the main like worry for that. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>you've seen any S cartridge? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>Are you? <v Speaker 2>Are you new? Are you? Are you a newborn? Have <v Speaker 2>you ever seen an you grow up with a super Nintendo? <v Speaker 2>We're back to the odd days, baby, Nintendo's bringing it back. <v Speaker 2>You just do a little blow. <v Speaker 1>They're gonna have a Nintendo branded a little blow your <v Speaker 1>gun thing. <v Speaker 2>Listen to me right now, very clearly, this is docs <v Speaker 2>right on your TV stand or something, and it's it's <v Speaker 2>not connecting. You go get down there, you get on <v Speaker 2>your knees, and you give it a blow. It's that simple, <v Speaker 2>a little blow. I'm with you, Sorry about that I'm <v Speaker 2>very excited. If you can't tell, I'm in a very <v Speaker 2>good move. If you're if you want to get players <v Speaker 2>and you want to try breaking this thing, sure people <v Speaker 2>will like I feel like if the joy Cone's an't <v Speaker 2>connected and I'm it's left around my room, it's gonna break. <v Speaker 2>I really don't know how you would. Yeah, Like I <v Speaker 2>could put this on my floor right now and I <v Speaker 2>could step on it. I'm gonna break the whole console. <v Speaker 2>Sure ain't gonna break this little guy. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like it's an internal part, you know, like. <v Speaker 2>So, but maybe you know I was thinking about like <v Speaker 2>the game for example, you want to talk about a <v Speaker 2>week point. Oh yeah, you could snap the s but <v Speaker 2>you could stand on the sp and snappers. Yeah. I <v Speaker 2>mean every console I think has weak points. We'll see. <v Speaker 2>Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe this thing will be an <v Speaker 2>absolute nightmare. I don't think it will be. And I <v Speaker 2>think Nintendo has had nine months of production at this <v Speaker 2>point to stress test it, and they've probably been playing <v Speaker 2>games and using it for almost a year now. In <v Speaker 2>behind the scenes. I think they would know at this <v Speaker 2>point if it was going to be an issue. <v Speaker 1>Right Starry to put a pin in this a couple <v Speaker 1>of things. One is we got a twenty dollars super <v Speaker 1>chat earlier from Prof Rock says, I'm glad we have <v Speaker 1>a switch to and we might get what you wanted, <v Speaker 1>which is a summer release. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm actually I'm really hoping for a summer release <v Speaker 2>because I don't want two big things to release too <v Speaker 2>close to each other. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>And then also Aj steers ten dollars super chat says <v Speaker 1>Nintendo did such a disservice by making this a teaser <v Speaker 1>without specs versus doing full hardware reveal. Now we have <v Speaker 1>to wait months to be underwhelmed to say in time. <v Speaker 2>So I think people are insane for thinking they're going <v Speaker 2>to be underwhelmed for the specs. And yeah, well no, <v Speaker 2>not for nothing. I think we're going to be more <v Speaker 2>impressed than you realize. I'm getting a we're getting a <v Speaker 2>phone call right now. Okay, I'm doing a show right now. <v Speaker 1>Okay, but I want to tell you we're getting a <v Speaker 1>phone call. Like do you want. <v Speaker 2>To do to just stop and take a phone call. <v Speaker 1>That's up to you, buddy, Like if you want to, okay, <v Speaker 1>we could do it. Better be important, I hope. So, Hello, <v Speaker 1>it's a discord call. Yeah, Hello, Hello? Whoa su turned <v Speaker 1>them up? Because hello? <v Speaker 2>Who is no? Who's calling loud? <v Speaker 1>He? <v Speaker 2>This is arlow Way. How did you get this number? <v Speaker 2>First time caller? What a long time? <v Speaker 1>Our first time caller? <v Speaker 2>Who? Who is this? <v Speaker 1>Are our cookie monster? <v Speaker 2>Oh right that guy Sesame Street. I know you guys <v Speaker 2>got canceled. <v Speaker 3>Yeah exactly, I know. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. How are you, buddy? How are ye? <v Speaker 1>How you going? I'm doing really well? <v Speaker 2>You know what. <v Speaker 3>I I just wanted to say. I've been listening to <v Speaker 3>spodcast for years and it's great to finally be on <v Speaker 3>the show. <v Speaker 2>Yeah that's so, that's actually uh, that's actually not me. <v Speaker 2>That's uh spawn Wave and like RGT and stuff like that. <v Speaker 2>You might be getting confused because RGT started his own <v Speaker 2>podcast and the branding looked exactly like very people get <v Speaker 2>that mixed up all the time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like that the wig the waveform behind you there. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, he actually called his so my sorry I hit. <v Speaker 2>My YouTube video was called the Nintendo Switches Finally here. <v Speaker 2>It is not in any way a special title. His <v Speaker 2>podcast episode from yesterday was the Nintended Switches Finally. <v Speaker 1>I was like, okay, you don't you don't get to <v Speaker 1>get a monopoly on the word final. <v Speaker 2>No, no, not at all. It's just funny. I find <v Speaker 2>it funny. Ollo. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, there's a lot of cross I've done that before too. <v Speaker 3>We get a lot, there's a lot of like, it's <v Speaker 3>the same news, it's. <v Speaker 2>The mostion genery, it's the mostionary thing. I was trying <v Speaker 2>to figure out a title for this podcast episode and <v Speaker 2>I was like, do I just call it the same thing? <v Speaker 2>It's finally here? Like what else to say? I want <v Speaker 2>to know, Alo, I mean honest, I watched your reaction <v Speaker 2>as soon as you went you put it up, which, <v Speaker 2>by the way, when I watched it, you were on trending. <v Speaker 2>You were on gaming trending with your reaction, So congrats <v Speaker 2>for that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah I didn't know that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that was awesome. And then you also put up <v Speaker 2>a more thoughtful, broken down edited version of a reaction <v Speaker 2>you also streamed. And then you also talked about Mario <v Speaker 2>Kart on topic. Alo, So I think you're as excited <v Speaker 2>for this as I am. It's a huge day. I <v Speaker 2>want to know. I want to know your thoughts. I <v Speaker 2>want to I want to know how you feel about <v Speaker 2>this whole reveal. Is it underwhelming? Are you excited? Are <v Speaker 2>you giddy? Are you nervous? <v Speaker 3>I mean, like it's I'm not gonna lie, like the <v Speaker 3>you know, the the excitement was tampered a little bit <v Speaker 3>by all of the leaks, and actually I kind of <v Speaker 3>want to I kind of want to do a video <v Speaker 3>just kind of like discussing that. So it's like, sure <v Speaker 3>it wasn't as like crazy exciting, as like an actual <v Speaker 3>genuinely new thing, but I also just don't really care <v Speaker 3>because I really do just want a more powerful switch <v Speaker 3>with brand new games, with nicer rappics. <v Speaker 1>That's really all I actually want. <v Speaker 3>And now that like it's finally becoming real, I'm happy, <v Speaker 3>you know, I'm I'm totally happy. <v Speaker 2>I know, I'm honestly so excited. It's it's funny because like, <v Speaker 2>looking at all the leaks leading up to it, it <v Speaker 2>was everything we were hoping, right, Like we all we <v Speaker 2>wanted is that it was a more powerful switch. So <v Speaker 2>seeing all the leaks confirming it, that was so exciting. <v Speaker 2>But then when Nintendo finally gets to reveal it, it's like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>we know, we already know, Yeah, no, we know, what <v Speaker 2>do you think about. <v Speaker 3>With the games? <v Speaker 2>We want to see that? <v Speaker 3>I mean, we're lucky we got the Mario Kart. Lucky <v Speaker 3>we got anything. <v Speaker 2>That was a really nice surprise. At least at least <v Speaker 2>they had that to to share with us and keep secret, <v Speaker 2>because I've been talking about for years now that Mario <v Speaker 2>Cut would be a great release game, but it actually hasn't. <v Speaker 2>That wasn't leaked, So it was nice to have an <v Speaker 2>actual surprise at the end of the trailer. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's it's all but guaranteed that it's going to <v Speaker 3>be a lunch game. It would, it'd be a It's <v Speaker 3>it's the Nintendo game. I like, it's the one. It's <v Speaker 3>one that most people are going to buy with a <v Speaker 3>Nintendo system, So just give it to us on launch <v Speaker 3>day and that leaves a whole entire generation for like <v Speaker 3>DLC and stuff. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, I know, you're so right. It's just releasing <v Speaker 2>a new switch or even a new console in general <v Speaker 2>with a multiplayer game, not only that, the best selling <v Speaker 2>game of the previous generation multiplayer game. I don't think <v Speaker 2>a console is ever released with a big multiplayer game before, <v Speaker 2>like First Party. It's just it's going to explode, Like <v Speaker 2>we're going to be playing it and streaming it, making <v Speaker 2>content with it, which is a free promotion for Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>Like friends and families are going to be picking it <v Speaker 2>up to play together. Oh, such a good idea. I <v Speaker 2>think Nintendo were nailing it. <v Speaker 5>It is. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean, like, you know, even the original Switch, <v Speaker 3>the whole idea of you can dete catch the joy <v Speaker 3>Cons and do it multiplayer, and you know, the original <v Speaker 3>Switch like Zelda was a great launch day game. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>but then like as far as like detached joy Con thing, <v Speaker 3>it's like, okay, like one to switch, I guess, but <v Speaker 3>it's like, no, we're playing Mario Kart. There are gonna <v Speaker 3>be the biggest, craziest Mario Kart parties. Everyone's gonna be <v Speaker 3>streaming it. Yeah, No, you're right, it's it's gonna be <v Speaker 3>a huge thing. <v Speaker 1>By the way, according to somebody in Chad and I'm <v Speaker 1>trusting them that they saw in the trailer, that. <v Speaker 2>Spots were in the trailer. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I love that. <v Speaker 3>We even got major confirmation of new stuff about the game, <v Speaker 3>even just from literally a few seconds and play. We <v Speaker 3>got confirmation of twenty four carts and some sort of <v Speaker 3>brand new mechanic I know. <v Speaker 2>And also Donkey Kong's different. He looks so different, and <v Speaker 2>DK is different. I'm gonna pull that up later. But <v Speaker 2>then you also think about the launch year, or at <v Speaker 2>least hopefully you got Metroid Prime, which I think might <v Speaker 2>come in holiday season, which would be so sick. To <v Speaker 2>top off the year, we have Pokemon z A, a <v Speaker 2>new Pokemon game launching in the first year as well. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you're hitting Mario Kart, Pokemon, and Metroid in <v Speaker 2>the first year, and that's just without any other secrets <v Speaker 2>that we don't know about. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I'm sure. <v Speaker 3>There are going to be other Like I still believe <v Speaker 3>Pokemon and Metroid probably, I mean, at least according to rumors, <v Speaker 3>will still just be switched one games. So then you're <v Speaker 3>on top of that, like all of the new switch <v Speaker 3>to games that they're going to announce on April second, <v Speaker 3>which I'm basically one hundred percent sure a three D <v Speaker 3>Mario is going to They always have three Mario in <v Speaker 3>the first year, at least they have for so many years. <v Speaker 2>Well, it's true, so much of this console does fill <v Speaker 2>a little bit like history repeating itself with the Switch <v Speaker 2>one and at first year Switch one, we got Odyssey <v Speaker 2>in the holiday season first year, so if we get <v Speaker 2>Odyssey two in the holiday season of this year, the <v Speaker 2>year that we're currently in, the Year of Our Lord, <v Speaker 2>twenty twenty five. Oh god, that would be so exciting. <v Speaker 3>I would love that. Yeah, I have given up help <v Speaker 3>on Odyssey too. I don't think it's gonna be Odyssey too. <v Speaker 3>I think it'll be something new, But I mean that's <v Speaker 3>still exciting too. Just whatever it is, it's going to <v Speaker 3>be the biggest Mario ever, I have no doubt. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I guess I should clarify. I don't know if <v Speaker 2>it's Odyssey too, that's when my brain goes. But a <v Speaker 2>new Mario game in general, after what after that three <v Speaker 2>D World. I'm excited to see where they go with <v Speaker 2>Mario because three D World was so promising with like <v Speaker 2>the no low times, No, what was it Bowsi's Fury. <v Speaker 2>I mean Bows's Fury. Oh, I love Bows's Fury. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that was like Yeah, who even knows where their <v Speaker 3>mind is? <v Speaker 2>Sorry about that? Sorry about that. Yeah, I don't know <v Speaker 2>that they They could have so many things planned. I <v Speaker 2>want to ask you as well quickly. Uh. I've seen <v Speaker 2>a lot of people. I've seen articles online of people <v Speaker 2>saying that this is the most underwhelming new Switch console <v Speaker 2>because there's no real big change or gimmick, like the <v Speaker 2>creativity of Nintendo surprising us with something new and wacky <v Speaker 2>is gone. How do you feel about that? Do you <v Speaker 2>feel like that's what's happened? <v Speaker 3>The only thing I can say about that is good. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>it's only a good thing. It's this is what they <v Speaker 3>needed to do. I mean, even the Switch, the hybrid <v Speaker 3>concept was novel and it was new, but it was <v Speaker 3>still purely practical. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it wasn't wacky. <v Speaker 3>It wasn't like charming and colorful like Nintendo made it <v Speaker 3>kind of charming and colorful, but no, like I you, <v Speaker 3>it's you can look back at the Nintendo charm and <v Speaker 3>kind I also have a whole video coming out about this. <v Speaker 3>But like, sure the Nintendo charm and wackiness was fun, <v Speaker 3>but like, you can't have that at the expense of success. <v Speaker 2>Yeah you know what I mean? Yeah, not, You're You're <v Speaker 2>completely right, Like they nailed it with the Switch. It <v Speaker 2>was all of theirs, all their ideas compiled into one console. <v Speaker 2>And why reinvent the will you just need to improve <v Speaker 2>it at that point, what there's no reason to go <v Speaker 2>and make wacky, new crazy home console with silly like <v Speaker 2>a connect situation. <v Speaker 1>I agree, I think I think it's a smart direction <v Speaker 1>to not go too out of the box in this one. <v Speaker 1>Like they added a few new features and we like <v Speaker 1>that and it's going to be improved. It's going to <v Speaker 1>be great. I'm excited. <v Speaker 2>So have you seen all the Switch three leaks in rumors? <v Speaker 2>Yet all. <v Speaker 3>Give it like one year? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I know, right, one year it'll be switched to <v Speaker 2>bro Well, already I was gonna make a video actually <v Speaker 2>telling people what to expect of the launch, like a <v Speaker 2>few months of this new console. People essentially saying it's <v Speaker 2>going to be underpowered and like the faults and like <v Speaker 2>this is going to be an issue because I don't <v Speaker 2>know if you remember, but remember when the Switch one came <v Speaker 2>out and like everyone was like, don't dock your switch, <v Speaker 2>it's going to scratch the screen, or don't do this, <v Speaker 2>don't do that. People are already day one talking about <v Speaker 2>that little sticky outbit in the middle of the joy <v Speaker 2>Con holder snapping off and breaking. Have you seen that? <v Speaker 3>I have seen that, and I I mean, like, I <v Speaker 3>I'm not saying there will definitely be no issues, but <v Speaker 3>I do think that, like they had so much more <v Speaker 3>R and D time for this system. The switch was <v Speaker 3>a little rushed because they were kind of in a <v Speaker 3>desperate position. They've had more time for this one. Sure <v Speaker 3>there might end up being issues, there might be an <v Speaker 3>issue with that connector, but like, I'm gonna just wait <v Speaker 3>until it is a problem before I got, I got. <v Speaker 2>Life's too short to worry about this. <v Speaker 3>Let's wait and see if it's a problem before we <v Speaker 3>worry about the problem. <v Speaker 2>I know, wroting about it now, it's just so funny, <v Speaker 2>like now, of all times, it's day one. Let's let's <v Speaker 2>let's let's hold on. Let's hold on a. <v Speaker 1>Lot of armchair hardware experts on Twitter. <v Speaker 2>So I think it's started because there were a lot <v Speaker 2>of repair at least that's us. Let us do the <v Speaker 2>clickbait later. All right, Well, I know, I know you <v Speaker 2>didn't have too much time, So I don't want to <v Speaker 2>keep you. <v Speaker 1>I just I. <v Speaker 2>Guess I well, I want to honestly, I want to <v Speaker 2>keep you. I could have you the whole episode, but if. <v Speaker 3>You go, you know, I mean, okay, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>People listening probably don't even remember who I am anymore. <v Speaker 3>It's been so literally. <v Speaker 1>We literally got a super chat somebody, somebody, We got <v Speaker 1>a super chat from someone who's just appreciative of the <v Speaker 1>fact that you're here. <v Speaker 2>What do you mean? No one knows who you are anymore. <v Speaker 2>You were on gaming trending yesterday with your reaction of <v Speaker 2>the switch too, I didn't get to trend here. <v Speaker 3>I've been meaning to come on this show for a <v Speaker 3>hundred million billion years, and I keep telling what I <v Speaker 3>was gonna do it, and I'm I mean, people I <v Speaker 3>think understand by now. I have a lot of collabs <v Speaker 3>I want to do and I'm just very flaky. So <v Speaker 3>it's just it's been so long, so it does stink <v Speaker 3>I have to go because there is so much work <v Speaker 3>to do, especially with all these announcements. However, I feel <v Speaker 3>like we've broken the ice. <v Speaker 2>The ice see like this is good. The ice is <v Speaker 2>dat it my friend, it's shattered, and. <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna come back, and I want to do a <v Speaker 3>full episode. I can't guarantee when I know. <v Speaker 2>Buddy, Look, you're on the side of the country. It's tough. <v Speaker 2>I was pushing to get you in person, which is <v Speaker 2>also very tough. And right now the switch to just released. <v Speaker 2>It's the busiest time of your and my career, and <v Speaker 2>you took the time to come on this show. Today, <v Speaker 2>of all times, I can't say thank you enough. <v Speaker 3>Well, I uh, I'll just say I'm very generous. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yes, that's a generous man. No, I do want <v Speaker 2>to come back. <v Speaker 1>I really do. <v Speaker 3>Let's do a full thing. I like everybody. If I <v Speaker 3>don't like, if it's too long, if it's like another <v Speaker 3>year goes by, like, don't, don't let that happen. I'm <v Speaker 3>giving everybody permission to harass me on social media. <v Speaker 2>If, oh god, you don't, don't don't open those doors. <v Speaker 2>If if a year goes by, I'll kill me. You <v Speaker 2>how's that sound? <v Speaker 3>Tastefully harassed me? And remind me that I promised I <v Speaker 3>would come back and actually do a full episode. <v Speaker 2>I'll hold you to it, all right, buddy, I'll let <v Speaker 2>you get out of here. Thank you so much. I <v Speaker 2>love hearing your thoughts. I'm so excited. But also, let's <v Speaker 2>do a main channel collab at some point too, with <v Speaker 2>the switch to stuff. I would love to, I really would. <v Speaker 2>I'm looking later. <v Speaker 1>I would love to. <v Speaker 2>I do. <v Speaker 1>I would love to. <v Speaker 2>All right, buddy, you get you get out of here. <v Speaker 2>Thanks for stopping by. Okay, there's so much you Bye bye, man. <v Speaker 2>I love him? What a nice cereal box, Cereal box. <v Speaker 1>I don't get it is that No, it's a it's <v Speaker 1>it's a it was a SpongeBob thing, Okay. <v Speaker 2>I Me and Alo actually have a really fun friendship. <v Speaker 2>We we message each other sporadically. It'll go a few <v Speaker 2>months will go by, and then randomly we'll just start <v Speaker 2>chatting and we'll chat for like a day or two <v Speaker 2>and catch up. He's a really awesome guy, but it's <v Speaker 2>so hard to nail him down for any kind of collab, <v Speaker 2>which I completely understand because I don't collab with anybody either. <v Speaker 2>I always feel like a pain with the podcast because <v Speaker 2>I'm that guy that with my friends, they never know <v Speaker 2>what I'm going to be like, can you do? Can you? <v Speaker 2>Can you? Can you do the podcast? It's such I <v Speaker 2>feel so annoying because also, like Allow and I, we <v Speaker 2>randomly started chatting a day or two ago just because <v Speaker 2>I wanted to see how he was doing. Actually he <v Speaker 2>messaged me even and then last night we were talking <v Speaker 2>and I was like, can you can you come to <v Speaker 2>the podcast tomorrow? And I just I never want people <v Speaker 2>to think that's why I'm talking with them, because it's <v Speaker 2>not right. It's not I just feel annoying. <v Speaker 1>I asked you a couple of days ago though, right, <v Speaker 1>so you guys, you guys made contact pre switch to release, <v Speaker 1>so that means it's real. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was pre Yeah. I was telling him that <v Speaker 2>we're about to be very busy because the sixteenth was <v Speaker 2>coming up. Yeah. I always get so excited for obviously <v Speaker 2>myself when the actual news happens, like actual big stuff <v Speaker 2>is coming on the horizon, but also for my friends <v Speaker 2>and and like especially creators like Arlo, because there's something <v Speaker 2>about him that people just flock to him for his <v Speaker 2>opinion on Nintendo stuff, like they it's there, it's their <v Speaker 2>first stop, Like they'll check in on Alow and then <v Speaker 2>maybe they'll check in on me if they if they <v Speaker 2>if they have any time left over to see my reaction, <v Speaker 2>which I. <v Speaker 1>Love a little credit. <v Speaker 2>You know, people people come to me for a lot <v Speaker 2>of things. With Arlow, it's reactions, it's that mediate. How <v Speaker 2>did Alo react to this? Like he has that on <v Speaker 2>lock because his reactions are always goaded. I mean, his <v Speaker 2>laugh and his excitement squeals on next level. I can't. <v Speaker 2>I can't provide that big shouts out on I just can't. <v Speaker 2>I love the man, all right, let's keep going down <v Speaker 2>my list of I have so many things to talk <v Speaker 2>about when we haven't even scratched the surface of all <v Speaker 2>of this. Would you would you mind just turning the <v Speaker 2>laptop slightly to the right. That way I can see <v Speaker 2>what's on your screen and I can be ready to <v Speaker 2>No problem, No problem, buddy. Hey, you're doing a great job. <v Speaker 1>You're doing a great job. <v Speaker 2>There's something about like the staff that I hire. They <v Speaker 2>go through an excruciating process of rigorous interviews and skill <v Speaker 2>testing to actually be a part of the show. I <v Speaker 2>think you are my favorite staff member that I have. <v Speaker 2>I think Kim close second in that in the hierarchy <v Speaker 2>of staff, if I was to do a TA list, <v Speaker 2>you would be S. Yeah. To be fair, there's only <v Speaker 2>two people right now really well Max, well Max should <v Speaker 2>be S plus. Sure. Yeah, and then you, dude. <v Speaker 1>People were really giving us a hard time about about <v Speaker 1>how you interact with each other last time. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 1>I think it's I feel like it's worth mentioning. By <v Speaker 1>the way, like you and I are always good like it, Yes, <v Speaker 1>like we're we're like we're Gucci, Like. <v Speaker 2>Him and I have gone really really close. If you <v Speaker 2>can't tell yeah. <v Speaker 1>So I think it's important on a very serious note, <v Speaker 1>like we're friends more than anything else. <v Speaker 2>We should we shouldn't like to say yeah, we shouldn't <v Speaker 2>have to say it. <v Speaker 1>I don't come here for my own entertainment, right like, <v Speaker 1>I come here because I want. <v Speaker 2>It on a dime today because you hit me up <v Speaker 2>last night. <v Speaker 1>While I was playing Get to Work for five hours on. <v Speaker 2>Streams streaming and I messaged you. I called you and <v Speaker 2>I was like, can you come to the podcast tomorrow <v Speaker 2>because we were't supposed to do the podcast this week. <v Speaker 1>And I just said, yeah, yeah, absolutely, miss coming here. <v Speaker 2>No. I know, I know we kept talking about when <v Speaker 2>to bring it back. But I'm working on I told <v Speaker 2>the Discord if you're not in the Discord, I'm working <v Speaker 2>on all new music and new graphics and new and <v Speaker 2>we have a new intro which you might have seen. <v Speaker 2>That was fine, that was ready, but the music wasn't ready. Eric, <v Speaker 2>who made the original theme songs, working on new music, <v Speaker 2>and I just I wanted to wait. But then all <v Speaker 2>this happened and I was I was too excited, and <v Speaker 2>I am in a really good mood. I'm very excited <v Speaker 2>right now about this. So I don't want to. I <v Speaker 2>don't want to get too negative, but I will say. <v Speaker 1>It's all very positive. <v Speaker 2>We did a two hour special Christmas holiday episode which <v Speaker 2>I thought we had so much fun doing. We did, <v Speaker 2>and then after it ends, I know, all the comments <v Speaker 2>come in and everyone's like, the one of the top <v Speaker 2>ones that we kept laughing about through Christmas when we <v Speaker 2>were hanging out through Christmas as friends at the Christmas <v Speaker 2>Holiday billage, it was, what is so toxic to his staff? <v Speaker 2>I'm in the room with you and my wife Kim <v Speaker 2>toxic to his staff? Yeah, I don't know. <v Speaker 1>It's messed up. <v Speaker 2>I don't know this. People have a perception of me, <v Speaker 2>and it's usually just on the podcast, and I don't <v Speaker 2>It's obviously something that I am exuding. So it's I <v Speaker 2>am the problem. I don't know what it is. But <v Speaker 2>I love the people in this room. I love the <v Speaker 2>people watching, and I love this podcast, and I keep <v Speaker 2>pushing through making this podcast even though seemingly half the <v Speaker 2>people watching can't stand me. Yeah, I don't right, No, no, no, no, <v Speaker 2>I'm not. But Ham did say before we went live, <v Speaker 2>what was it you said? You said, like, why is <v Speaker 2>it that you joke constantly on the podcast, and I <v Speaker 2>get it, but no one else seems to understand. <v Speaker 1>That is the point that I'm trying to make is <v Speaker 1>that we are friends, right, and I'm more than just <v Speaker 1>a staff member of this podcast. Okay, So I need <v Speaker 1>everybody to get that out of their head, okay, and <v Speaker 1>not just consider me to be doing a Jordan fringe. <v Speaker 1>I'm doing the T shirt bit. Where did that come from? <v Speaker 2>You were wearing a different shirt earlier, you were wearing them, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I changed? Did you make that for this episode? <v Speaker 1>You can just I just searched staff shirt I Amazon. <v Speaker 1>It was seven dollars. <v Speaker 2>I don't know how I feel about that shirt. I <v Speaker 2>haven't ran that by hr. Okay, well you might be <v Speaker 2>on thin ice begot you might be getting written after that. Actually, <v Speaker 2>can you mute the mics for a second, like, legitimately <v Speaker 2>mute the mic? So anyway, talking about these uh these <v Speaker 2>leaks here, where were we at? <v Speaker 1>I don't know what you're looking through your dog or whatever? <v Speaker 2>All right, So the doc, yeah I had talking about <v Speaker 2>the switch breaking. My Twitter thoughts post revealed Oh this <v Speaker 2>was bizarre. Actually someone pointed this out. You can cut <v Speaker 2>to my screen. Oh you already did I did. <v Speaker 1>It after you said it, I won't give myself that <v Speaker 1>much credit. <v Speaker 2>I was about to be so proud of my staff. <v Speaker 2>Switch to stock tweeted has anyone noticed this in the <v Speaker 2>switch to trailer? So the trailer is two minutes and <v Speaker 2>twenty two seconds long for the switch to right. Uh, <v Speaker 2>and it's and the April second presentation is two months, <v Speaker 2>two weeks and two days away. <v Speaker 1>Oh how freaky? Is that interesting? A lot of twos? <v Speaker 2>That has to be on purpose, right, Like. <v Speaker 1>Is there going to be something on to twenty two. <v Speaker 2>To twenty two? What is to try twenty second? Maybe <v Speaker 2>maybe look out if something Nintendo or Switch related happens <v Speaker 2>on feb twenty second, that would be interesting. Yeah. I <v Speaker 2>just thought that was that had to be on purpose. <v Speaker 2>There's no way you line up that many two two <v Speaker 2>twos on accident, right. <v Speaker 1>Maybe not? It could be a coincidence. <v Speaker 2>I mean, of course, anything's possible in the eyes of <v Speaker 2>our Lord. But to release it two months, two weeks <v Speaker 2>and two days away, I don't know. Man, that's just <v Speaker 2>so accidentally awesome. If that is not on purpose, we'll <v Speaker 2>see what happens. We'll see what happens. Take take a <v Speaker 2>keep a keen eye on feb twenty second. You're hearing <v Speaker 2>it from me. First cut to me, I am nate <v Speaker 2>the hate. Now Nintendo will give us their next update <v Speaker 2>on February twenty second at two twenty two pm. <v Speaker 1>I guess we'll see what happens. <v Speaker 2>We'll see what happens. <v Speaker 1>Two twenty two pm, Tokyo time. I think you guys <v Speaker 1>are paying it. <v Speaker 2>I wonder. I wonder if it was to twenty two <v Speaker 2>anywhere in the world when they release the trailer. Maybe <v Speaker 2>someone look into that, someone visit that. <v Speaker 1>For me, it's two twenty two somewhere. <v Speaker 2>You know. We talked about this with Alo and I <v Speaker 2>think honestly, he hit the nail on the head. So <v Speaker 2>we don't really even have to go down this avenue. <v Speaker 2>But you're a gamer put out an article. If switch <v Speaker 2>to is the end of innovation of Nintendo, there's much <v Speaker 2>to be sad about. I gotta be honest, not read <v Speaker 2>the room. Yeah right, I don't know it, So God <v Speaker 2>do I How do I articulate this? You can got <v Speaker 2>a way. We don't even need to show that anymore. <v Speaker 2>So negativity cells and a lot in my career I <v Speaker 2>have leaned into negativity and titles and stuff like that <v Speaker 2>because people will always click on negativity. So that's what <v Speaker 2>they're doing here. They've just found a way to spin <v Speaker 2>the switch to releases negative. I am way too excited <v Speaker 2>about this thing to care. When when I was going live, <v Speaker 2>I asked him what the title should be, and I <v Speaker 2>think you said something like the biggest issue with the <v Speaker 2>switch to release or something, and I was like, I <v Speaker 2>can't even do that right now. I don't even want to. <v Speaker 2>Like could I could I lean into like, oh, it's <v Speaker 2>gonna Oh, it's gonna break. This little thing is like <v Speaker 2>a failure point. Oh it's the innovation is dead and <v Speaker 2>Nintendo being creative anymore? Could I sure? I have this <v Speaker 2>little spinny magnet on the table? Sorry, it's very cool? <v Speaker 2>Could I sure? I just don't. I don't want to. <v Speaker 2>I want to have a brief few months where everything <v Speaker 2>is happy. <v Speaker 1>I think I was more suggesting than you do clickbait <v Speaker 1>and be like big issue with the switch to and <v Speaker 1>then the issue is that it's not coming soon enough. <v Speaker 2>You know. No, that wasn't to throw you under the bus. <v Speaker 2>I knew what you were doing, but yeah, like even <v Speaker 2>to clickbait it, I don't even want to. I think <v Speaker 2>people people are so excited about this right now that <v Speaker 2>just talking about it in a fun, I'm excited way <v Speaker 2>is enough. Yeah, and you don't have to be like <v Speaker 2>this thing's gonna suck to get a click. I think <v Speaker 2>right now it would have been nice if it were <v Speaker 2>called the super Switch still. You know, we could talk <v Speaker 2>about the name. Actually I might have had that in <v Speaker 2>my dog. I'm not sure if I did. Let's do this, <v Speaker 2>let's bring up. I did a Twitter thread with my <v Speaker 2>because I wanted to make another video. I wanted to <v Speaker 2>talk about the switch to more so badly, And in <v Speaker 2>the end I was like, screw it, let's just do <v Speaker 2>a Twitter thread. You can bring it up. But it's <v Speaker 2>just me, I said, Nintendo Switch Too is the perfect name, <v Speaker 2>even if it's unconventional, Even if it's not a conventional <v Speaker 2>Nintendo naming scheme, Avoiding a WU situation was the utmost priority. <v Speaker 2>Making the console an improved version of Switch one was <v Speaker 2>also the perfect move. No need to reinvent the wheel, <v Speaker 2>just make it better. So this is my main thinking <v Speaker 2>on this. Would I have loved it to be called <v Speaker 2>super Switch? Yes, I think it's such a great name. <v Speaker 2>I do think it is the antithesis of what this <v Speaker 2>console is going to be. It is the super Switch. <v Speaker 2>And in my mind, the Switch was Nintendo reinventing themselves, <v Speaker 2>saving themselves of a gaming company, introducing and innovating a <v Speaker 2>new way to play games in the gaming space, just <v Speaker 2>like the nes did. So to have a sequel come <v Speaker 2>out like the Super Nintendo did Super Nintendo Switch was <v Speaker 2>so synonymous. It was so perfect, I think. But the <v Speaker 2>issue is it's not super ironically clear. We can cut <v Speaker 2>away clear what that is, right, Like for ninety nine <v Speaker 2>or not even ninety nine, I would say for eighty <v Speaker 2>percent of people, it is clear what that is. <v Speaker 1>It's clear because for eighty percent of people, it's a <v Speaker 1>nostalgic move, yes, right, if you're nostalgia doesn't sell to <v Speaker 1>a wider market exactly. That's probably why they did it <v Speaker 1>the way they did. <v Speaker 2>They didn't want to appeal just to the people that <v Speaker 2>would understand what they were doing or even understand what <v Speaker 2>the super Switch is. They wanted to appeal to every <v Speaker 2>single person, every single person, even if it was ninety <v Speaker 2>nine percent. They wanted to appeal even to the one <v Speaker 2>percent that this is not the switch one, this is <v Speaker 2>the switch to you know what that means? There's no <v Speaker 2>mistaking it. You don't have to be a mom and <v Speaker 2>walk in the Game Stop and be like, so, is <v Speaker 2>the super switch a new thing or is it just <v Speaker 2>does it play the same games? Forget all of that <v Speaker 2>Super Sorry, forget all of that Nintendo Switch too. It's true. <v Speaker 2>I think it's exactly what they should have done. The <v Speaker 2>only reason I was leaning into thinking they might not <v Speaker 2>do it is they've never done it. They've never done <v Speaker 2>a number. It's pretty synonymous with PlayStation at this point <v Speaker 2>that they number their systems. Even Xbox doesn't number their systems. <v Speaker 2>So I thought Nintendo might be innovative and do like <v Speaker 2>a super Nintendo. But it's very clear they just wanted <v Speaker 2>to be clear and honestly, it is the best thing <v Speaker 2>for them to do. Is it the coolest, Is it <v Speaker 2>the most fun? No? No, is it the best thing? Probably? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's honestly. <v Speaker 1>How the point, the point about the moms in Game <v Speaker 1>Stop is definitely something I was thinking about. It's just like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>you know, you're like you're thinking about what to get <v Speaker 1>your kid as a gift for Christmas or their birthday <v Speaker 1>or whatever, right, and then you hear that there's this <v Speaker 1>switch to thing, right, like, if you here there's a <v Speaker 1>super switch, You're like, well, my kids already got a switch. <v Speaker 1>I don't need to get them a better version of that. <v Speaker 1>And then they're just mistaken. They don't understand that it's <v Speaker 1>a new thing. Yeah, whereas they hear there's a switch too, <v Speaker 1>is like, oh, well I could just get him the <v Speaker 1>new thing. Yeah, you know yeah, or her sorry. <v Speaker 2>Oh When that happens, I feel like it's because you're <v Speaker 2>just talking in first person. <v Speaker 1>So I use gender language for my for my own Yeah, I. <v Speaker 2>Think you're putting yourself into the mind of like when <v Speaker 2>you were a kid. That's true. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what I do. <v Speaker 2>That happens to me. That makes sense. I don't know <v Speaker 2>why I even mentioned it. It's just that happens to <v Speaker 2>me all the time, where I'm like, oh, her, and <v Speaker 2>then my brain goes that's just because I'm a guy. <v Speaker 2>I was thinking of me. But we're trying to be inclusive, <v Speaker 2>you know, we are inclusive. Yeah. Uh, there would be <v Speaker 2>more console surprise. This is just me continuing the thread. <v Speaker 2>There will be more console surprises and hidden features to come, <v Speaker 2>but being able to use the joy Con as a <v Speaker 2>mouse opens up the switch to library to more genres <v Speaker 2>of games, even the possibility of new types of games. <v Speaker 2>So I talked about this in my leak video, but <v Speaker 2>this is something I'm doing more for like Twitter Space, <v Speaker 2>for anyone that didn't see the video, people that don't <v Speaker 2>know who I am, so again using the joy cone <v Speaker 2>as a mouse. There is a weak point on the switch. <v Speaker 2>One a conversation I remember having at packs with the <v Speaker 2>developer of a really fun point and click game that <v Speaker 2>I think a lot of my audience would really love. <v Speaker 2>I asked him why is it not on switch? And <v Speaker 2>he said, because my game really requires a mouse, and <v Speaker 2>I don't feel like the touchpad or the other ways <v Speaker 2>of engaging. I feel like it the tracks from my <v Speaker 2>game and doesn't really have the same feeling. So I <v Speaker 2>just don't want to release it on the console. And <v Speaker 2>there are a lot of games like that that could <v Speaker 2>come over but don't. On top of that, I think <v Speaker 2>about games like SIMS. Where's the SIMS on switch? It's <v Speaker 2>a perfect game to have on switch and the same <v Speaker 2>way that Animal Crossing is or any cozy SIM game is, <v Speaker 2>but there's no actual SIMS. And it's because it would <v Speaker 2>be kind of a nightmare to play the SIMS. <v Speaker 1>They've just been making the dumb down version of SIMS <v Speaker 1>for console. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, the console versions always kind of suck. But if <v Speaker 2>you add in a mouse, now you can have SIMS. <v Speaker 2>You could also maybe even look at games like Call <v Speaker 2>of Duty. Call of Duty was probably the biggest game <v Speaker 2>enfranchise missing from the switch. You can play that with <v Speaker 2>a pad and a controller, so there's no reason for <v Speaker 2>it not to come over. But it does give people <v Speaker 2>another option if they want to try using it as <v Speaker 2>a mouse, And depending on how well it glides and <v Speaker 2>what accessories come with it, you can quite literally all <v Speaker 2>you need is this optical sensor. You house this whole console, <v Speaker 2>this whole joy Con in something that is a mouse. <v Speaker 2>Now you just have a mouse. Give me a me. <v Speaker 2>Now you just have a mouse, and you're just using <v Speaker 2>a mouse, just a regular Joycon. Okay, now that could <v Speaker 2>see like how it feels like. It also puts everyone <v Speaker 2>on the level playing field if you're playing online. <v Speaker 1>Just trying to do this with my hand. Ran I <v Speaker 1>have was skeptical about like how it would feel to <v Speaker 1>use a vertical thing as a mouse, But this feels fine. <v Speaker 2>Honestly, I think it feels fine even on its own. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>but you add in the fact that there will be <v Speaker 2>accessories for this, right, and there will be things that <v Speaker 2>just three D prints and turn it. I could. I <v Speaker 2>could right now take a mouse three D print that's <v Speaker 2>already designed. I could take a Joycon three D print, <v Speaker 2>stick it inside delete the Joycon. Yeah, I could probably <v Speaker 2>just three D print my own right now. You should <v Speaker 2>do that. <v Speaker 1>You should actually do that as like a like this <v Speaker 1>is a potential switched. <v Speaker 2>I will Maybe I should do that as. <v Speaker 1>Something more, something that gives it more of a bottom, <v Speaker 1>like as a mouse would be a nice like love <v Speaker 1>a good bottom, love a good bottom. We love a <v Speaker 1>good bottom here at the Nintendo podcast. By the way, <v Speaker 1>ten dollars or ten some currency, uh, super chat for <v Speaker 1>Oh it's Australian dollars from gandabist gandabist. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I can't read names. Good night guys, actually right, gooday, <v Speaker 1>you did this shot. I wonder if we'll ever I'll stop. <v Speaker 1>I wonder if I be able to do upgrades of <v Speaker 1>games like PlayStation did with PS four to PS five, <v Speaker 1>with upscaling of graphics. <v Speaker 2>Oh, there's so many times to talk about. We could <v Speaker 2>do a four hour hour episode. We couldn't can you <v Speaker 2>put put a pin in that? Don't let me forget? Okay, <v Speaker 2>how much time do you have today? <v Speaker 1>We can go I'm down longer. I have to go <v Speaker 1>home tonight. <v Speaker 2>But like the last thing I want to say about <v Speaker 2>the mouse and I put it hit ag new mini <v Speaker 2>games in Mario Party. So when I was talking to <v Speaker 2>somebody who has seen a switch to whoever that may be. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>they said, the optical sensor, they've seen scrub I'm just <v Speaker 2>gonna say it. They've seen it be used for minigames. <v Speaker 2>Oh so there was something about tracing a line, uh, drawing, <v Speaker 2>drawing and tracing. That's all. I know that this new <v Speaker 2>sensor and the new like way of using it now <v Speaker 2>it might also be used as a mouse, and I <v Speaker 2>think that's probably possible. But they've also seen new minigames <v Speaker 2>being used with it. <v Speaker 1>You know, that kind of begs the question for me, <v Speaker 1>and I hate to I don't want to like drive <v Speaker 1>you too far off topic, but like what if there <v Speaker 1>was like a like a like an Apple pencil type thing, <v Speaker 1>like a separate accessory for a switch to like an <v Speaker 1>Apple pencil type like stylus. <v Speaker 2>I I kind of I am kind of wondering if <v Speaker 2>Nintendo have a lot of like accessory type devices and <v Speaker 2>other things that we even using the current hardware that <v Speaker 2>we've seen in ways we don't expect because like, for example, <v Speaker 2>what kind of rumble isn't it? Yeah, we had HD <v Speaker 2>rumble before. Is there a new version? Is there something <v Speaker 2>else in this console? Does it have any kind of <v Speaker 2>haptic feedback? There's magnets in it now, is there anything <v Speaker 2>that like creates resistance when you play a game? Like <v Speaker 2>I'm just speaking out it. I'm guessing who knows? <v Speaker 1>The possibilities are endless possibilities could be The thing is, though, <v Speaker 1>like I have high expectations for that sort of thing <v Speaker 1>because while the people people are saying shit like oh, <v Speaker 1>like it's underwhelming that like it's just a new version <v Speaker 1>of the same thing. It's like, I still think that <v Speaker 1>the possibilities for innovations, that the possibilities for innovation with <v Speaker 1>software and with like with haptics, with with accessories like <v Speaker 1>the Sky's the Living, There's so much you can do. <v Speaker 1>But like having the console be what it is because <v Speaker 1>it works properly and it does what it needs to <v Speaker 1>do is good. <v Speaker 2>I think Nintendo knows that to some extent, They're known <v Speaker 2>for innovation and new wacky things. I think what they <v Speaker 2>have done is they've made the switch to a better <v Speaker 2>Switch one, and they found ways to make things wacky <v Speaker 2>within the confines of what already worked. But we're gonna <v Speaker 2>have to wait and see. The mice thing is the <v Speaker 2>first sign of that, I think. Then I go on <v Speaker 2>to say I like reading this because it's helping me <v Speaker 2>get my This is what I wanted to say in <v Speaker 2>a video, which is why I'm reading my own tweets. <v Speaker 2>So I'm sorry if that's a bit weird, but it's <v Speaker 2>helping me keep my thoughts on track. Not to mention, <v Speaker 2>giving players a multiplayer game Day one encourages families and <v Speaker 2>friends to buy the console so they can play together, <v Speaker 2>and then content creators and stream a culture to provide <v Speaker 2>free promotion for the Nintendo as they stream. We talked <v Speaker 2>about that with Alow, and I think all of that <v Speaker 2>is true. Also, I want to say this very clearly <v Speaker 2>right now, even though I already said it in my <v Speaker 2>video and I've said it a million times before, Mario <v Speaker 2>cut on Switch is the best selling Switch game. It's <v Speaker 2>sold something like fifty million copies and it's not even <v Speaker 2>a switch game. It outsold everything else. So if you <v Speaker 2>want to launch with a game that could beat the <v Speaker 2>Switch One's release, it's not Mario Odyssey two. It's not <v Speaker 2>a news Elta, it's not anything. It's not even a <v Speaker 2>new Animal Crossing. It's quite literally a new Mario cut <v Speaker 2>and the addition of multiplayer it begets more people buying <v Speaker 2>the console to play with more people. It's brilliant. <v Speaker 1>Can I make Can I make a hot take prediction? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>it's not gonna be called Mario Kart nine. <v Speaker 2>I think it's Mario Cutt ten and or Mario Catt <v Speaker 2>Rainbow Road, Mario Mark Something, Mario CTT Ultimate. I agree? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, is that nine is so underwhelming? <v Speaker 2>The underwhelming it's an underwhelming number for sure. Yeah, especially <v Speaker 2>even it's silly, but even after Mario CTT eight Deluxe. <v Speaker 2>If you lose the Deluxe word and now you just <v Speaker 2>have Mario Cutt nine, it feels like, well, I'll wait <v Speaker 2>for the Deluxe. I think you need to go You're right, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I think it needs to be Mario cut ten, Mario <v Speaker 2>Catt Infinity, Mario Kart. I heard a rumor of Mario <v Speaker 2>Catt Rainbow Road, but it was some like four Chan leak, <v Speaker 2>but that is kind of a cool name. I don't <v Speaker 2>hate it. Yeah, okay, and then I just said this <v Speaker 2>is my dream switch to launch. The last thing on <v Speaker 2>my thread was the color is sick. So I actually <v Speaker 2>have really come around when I was making my leak <v Speaker 2>video and I saw Yankee leak those black ones with <v Speaker 2>the blue and what looked like orange. For a long time, <v Speaker 2>I always was like, why orange? That was weird to <v Speaker 2>begin with. Obviously it was wrong, but I didn't know <v Speaker 2>how I felt about those. I think I've dropped my <v Speaker 2>fake one down there. <v Speaker 1>But really now, really, dude, I wanted to be in <v Speaker 1>white and black like I hope that they. <v Speaker 2>So, yeah, that's another thing we don't know right now. <v Speaker 2>If there's two skews, it definitely doesn't seem like it. <v Speaker 2>But here's what I love about this. You can cut <v Speaker 2>to this for a second. So this is it's taking <v Speaker 2>It's so obvious. I know it is. Sorry, let me <v Speaker 2>get all my thoughts out. That's taking the blue and <v Speaker 2>red knon original joy cons but making them adult, making <v Speaker 2>them feel like that upgrade. It's also initially we had <v Speaker 2>the gray skew and the neon skew. This is it's black. <v Speaker 2>But it's like those two skews have come together, right, <v Speaker 2>and it I love that because Nintendo the original console, <v Speaker 2>as I said, was all of Nintendo's ideas coming together <v Speaker 2>for like a new console, the new hybrid. And then <v Speaker 2>this is like the improvement while taking Nintendo one switch <v Speaker 2>to one ideas and putting those together as well. So <v Speaker 2>just building and building and building on top of what <v Speaker 2>was already there. And I just I think it looks <v Speaker 2>really nice. I love the black look of it. It's <v Speaker 2>really cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think that, Like I think for me personally, <v Speaker 1>like I like a little bit more color, you know, <v Speaker 1>like I would have been happier to see. Uh, Like, <v Speaker 1>I don't think it needs to necessarily be multiple colors. <v Speaker 1>I think that like, like this is too much, right, <v Speaker 1>There's a lot going on here, right, but if I <v Speaker 1>could get the whole thing in like a bright color, <v Speaker 1>you know. <v Speaker 2>Someff like that. I obviously there'll be special editions down <v Speaker 2>the line. Sure, we honestly don't know yet if there <v Speaker 2>is another color, if there is a whit. I do <v Speaker 2>think white looks very nice. I think they might not <v Speaker 2>have shown off a white because it's too close to <v Speaker 2>the old. But maybe it'll be an option closer to launch, right. <v Speaker 2>I understand what you're saying, though, if this is the <v Speaker 2>only one you would have liked a bit more color, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I get that. I understand that. I mean color and art. <v Speaker 2>I mean this is art in a way is subjective, <v Speaker 2>So I get that. That's very I think for me. <v Speaker 2>I mean I've said it already, but whenever all these <v Speaker 2>like new handhelds, these more adult like, powerful ones, they <v Speaker 2>lean into this black, sleek look. We've seen the rug <v Speaker 2>ally go from white to black, and I think the <v Speaker 2>black was a clear improvement. I saw the steam deck <v Speaker 2>go in the opposite direction and make a white one, <v Speaker 2>and I kind of didn't like it. I think the <v Speaker 2>black one looks nicer. So personally this is for me <v Speaker 2>right now. But I'm excited to see special additions too. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think something else notable because imagine this all <v Speaker 1>in gold I'm going to cut to you again, right. <v Speaker 2>Imagine this all in a gold switch. <v Speaker 1>True. Yeah, But see, the other thing to mention here <v Speaker 1>is that when you when you snap the joy cons <v Speaker 1>in the way that you are with this straight it's <v Speaker 1>different from the sliding action, obviously, but what that does <v Speaker 1>for the overall look of it when the joy cons <v Speaker 1>are on, is that it makes everything looks like it's <v Speaker 1>more seamlessly connected, right, Yeah, And to me that sort <v Speaker 1>of speaks to a lot of potential for I guess <v Speaker 1>clashing with different kinds of joy cons connected to a <v Speaker 1>different kind of switch. Right, So, like if you were <v Speaker 1>to connect a black joy Con to a white switch, <v Speaker 1>it might look like it's like very like you know, <v Speaker 1>like a staggering difference between the screen and the actual <v Speaker 1>like joy con itself. <v Speaker 2>Well, how does it How does it work on the <v Speaker 2>previous switch with the white joy. <v Speaker 1>Because because I think that on the previous on the <v Speaker 1>previous switch, right, like it the transition between joy Con <v Speaker 1>and the actual console itself, it doesn't it doesn't feel <v Speaker 1>like it's one seamless unibody thing, right Yeah, No, I'm <v Speaker 1>I'm rounded edges. <v Speaker 2>Right to me and like let's see what you're talking <v Speaker 2>about him. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, because you see like the rounded edges. I'm more <v Speaker 1>it's it's more obvious on the original switch, but you <v Speaker 1>can still kind of see it with the led the <v Speaker 1>old the rounded edges of the tablet itself, right, like <v Speaker 1>make it look like it's its own thing, that the <v Speaker 1>joy cons are connected to whereas if you're to hold <v Speaker 1>up this guy right here, the. <v Speaker 2>Other guy this is the rock. What is this? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's more like this right where it looks like <v Speaker 1>it's all one thing, but the joy cons just happened <v Speaker 1>to come off of it, right, it's a realistic thing <v Speaker 1>for me, it's hard to say. It's hard to, like, ye, <v Speaker 1>explain that. <v Speaker 2>I don't think I'm visualizing, you know what, You're trying <v Speaker 2>to go. <v Speaker 1>Back to the on the thing, put them like, put <v Speaker 1>it show the whole thing connected right like on the <v Speaker 1>like on the video. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so like the whole thing looks like it's just <v Speaker 1>kind of like like you see the borders of the <v Speaker 1>of the screen right are like matched. <v Speaker 2>With the joy cons. By the way, how nice is <v Speaker 2>that screen? It's the nice It's actually like my screen, <v Speaker 2>not ganky screen, right, Which is why I was saying <v Speaker 2>in my video, I don't know why Gankey made this <v Speaker 2>that bezel so big. <v Speaker 1>What I'm saying is that's gonna look weird if it's <v Speaker 1>a black switch with white joy cons, like if you <v Speaker 1>connect different joy cons to your original switch. <v Speaker 2>So I just feel like, and I'm not trying to <v Speaker 2>be a pain, but I feel like it's no different. <v Speaker 2>Cut to me? Is that no different? Is that just <v Speaker 2>the same thing? <v Speaker 1>It's it's different for me because it's not the same <v Speaker 1>material on the screen as you see on the joy Con, right, <v Speaker 1>like the edge of the of the screen on the <v Speaker 1>switch too. <v Speaker 2>I'm just gonna I'm just gonna agree with you. Okay, <v Speaker 2>that's fine. Sorry, I don't I'm not getting it. <v Speaker 1>Whatever, what's your next? <v Speaker 2>Sorry, I don't want I don't want them to think <v Speaker 2>I'm being a dick. I'm really not understanding. It's it's literally, <v Speaker 2>it's just the bezel on the screen. The bezel on <v Speaker 2>the screen matches the joy Cons okay, right, yeah, whereas <v Speaker 2>they're they're really the bezel on the screen on the <v Speaker 2>switch to or on the original switch and ol it is. <v Speaker 1>A glossy yeah. <v Speaker 2>Right. <v Speaker 1>So it's like you don't expect them to look the same. <v Speaker 2>So so this looks different and that looks the same. Yes, <v Speaker 2>And you don't like that it looks the same anymore? <v Speaker 1>No, I like that it looks the same. But I'm <v Speaker 1>saying it's gonna look weird if you because everyone buys <v Speaker 1>ten different like pairs of joy Cons, right, it's gonna <v Speaker 1>look weird. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but like Joycons come in so many different colors <v Speaker 2>that every single one is going to look different to <v Speaker 2>this anyway. Sure, so the only difference here is everything's <v Speaker 2>going to look different except the ones they come with, <v Speaker 2>which are going to match perfectly. <v Speaker 1>Yes, that's sort of my point. But I don't like that. <v Speaker 2>I like that. <v Speaker 1>I like that the joycns are a different thing from <v Speaker 1>the screen, you know. <v Speaker 2>Okay, so you don't like that the base one. You <v Speaker 2>don't like that it's a uniformed. <v Speaker 1>Color, right yeah, oh yeah, okay, kind of kind of <v Speaker 1>that's sort of what I'm saying. <v Speaker 2>I'm glad we figured it out. I I'm sorry it <v Speaker 2>took me so long to get it. No, it's fine, <v Speaker 2>it's fine. I think I wasn't getting it because that's <v Speaker 2>a little bizarre to me because I think if that <v Speaker 2>if that inside ring it's connected to me was a <v Speaker 2>different color, it would look worse to me. Sure, Okay, alright, cool, <v Speaker 2>we got there, you. <v Speaker 1>At because I'm used to I'm used to everything, Like <v Speaker 1>I'm used to there being like like having two different <v Speaker 1>color joy Cons on my switch, you know, like that's <v Speaker 1>me So. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, I assume that will be a thing like definitely. <v Speaker 2>You'll have all kinds of different colors to attach to, <v Speaker 2>and you can get rid of those original ones as <v Speaker 2>quickly as you want. <v Speaker 1>No, I know that, I under you can. <v Speaker 2>Also, I would assume you could use these joy cons <v Speaker 2>on it too, because it's backwards compatible. <v Speaker 1>Right, is it? <v Speaker 2>Wait? <v Speaker 1>We kind of stop. <v Speaker 2>What the switch to is backwards compatible with the Switch one? Okay, <v Speaker 2>all right, all right? <v Speaker 1>I see, yeah, we're making we're making a joke here, <v Speaker 1>but I missed it for the first three second, not. <v Speaker 2>Making a joke right now? I think these will be <v Speaker 2>backwards compatible. <v Speaker 1>How would that? What are you talking about? <v Speaker 2>You think the new switch one have Bluetooth or whatever <v Speaker 2>it is they connect. I didn't consider that. Yeah, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I think I think these will be backwards compatible. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>and I think that'll be good because if you pick <v Speaker 2>up a switch day one and you want to play, <v Speaker 2>you'll play Mario Kart with your little brother, and you <v Speaker 2>already have a Switch one, you give him these joy cons. No, <v Speaker 2>maybe it won't be wrong. There's a chance it won't <v Speaker 2>because the PlayStation five doesn't support PlayStation four controllers? Is <v Speaker 2>that true? But I think the Xbox supports backwards compatible <v Speaker 2>on control The thing is this is supposed to be <v Speaker 2>compatible with every switch one game. So if we assume games, <v Speaker 2>if we assume things like label and anything with an <v Speaker 2>IR reader would want to work, you would need the old. <v Speaker 1>Joy cons Well they said that some in that I know, <v Speaker 1>I would think that labor would be the only thing, <v Speaker 1>like one of you. <v Speaker 2>Well, in that case, if labor is not supported, it's <v Speaker 2>because these aren't supported. Yeah, that's my only guess. <v Speaker 1>Also because it's built around the actual like original switch size. <v Speaker 2>And joy size. Yeah, you're right. Wow what a tangent. <v Speaker 2>Huh Yeah, sorry that Sorry about that. Um, okay, can <v Speaker 2>we quick And by quickly, I mean I'll probably take. <v Speaker 1>Forever, take as much time as you need. <v Speaker 2>Brother. Over the last year of this podcast, since we <v Speaker 2>changed formats and it went to one host less, I'm <v Speaker 2>just focusing on that time, right, I've done several episodes <v Speaker 2>on the switch to and following the leaks and rumors <v Speaker 2>that have developed in that space around the console coming out. Now. <v Speaker 2>Almost every single time I made one of those videos <v Speaker 2>and I went live on this podcast, comments would flood <v Speaker 2>in with clickbait or that I was milking switch To rumors, <v Speaker 2>or that there was a nefarious means behind me doing <v Speaker 2>it in some way for the podcast. Now. That was <v Speaker 2>insane to me at the time, because this is a <v Speaker 2>Nintendo themed podcast, and the biggest news in some of <v Speaker 2>those weeks that we went live was that, hey, right <v Speaker 2>now you can see what the switch to looks like <v Speaker 2>before Nintendo has revealed it, and I think it is, honestly, <v Speaker 2>and excuse me swearing for a very one of those <v Speaker 2>rare moments, batshit insane. If I went life with this <v Speaker 2>podcast ignored that was happening and then just did a <v Speaker 2>top ten list on my favorite Mario games. We did <v Speaker 2>do some ten lists. We did some ten lists. Obviously <v Speaker 2>I had to follow those leaks. But something that I <v Speaker 2>try really hard in my career across all of my <v Speaker 2>platforms is not promoting or talking about or sharing rumors <v Speaker 2>or leaks that are clearly false there And that's just <v Speaker 2>me personally. There are a lot of channels out there <v Speaker 2>that will upload daily switch two leaks, and they'll take <v Speaker 2>any four Chan, reddit, hidden backwater internet rum or a leak, <v Speaker 2>and they'll put it in the title and thumbnail and <v Speaker 2>then they'll talk about how it's probably not true, this <v Speaker 2>is fake, blah blah blah, blah. I didn't want to <v Speaker 2>do that ever. Yeah, I really only wanted to make <v Speaker 2>a thumbnail and title about a switch leak if I <v Speaker 2>felt very confident that what we were looking at is <v Speaker 2>the actual thing, that it has some sort of shred <v Speaker 2>of proof or legitimacy, or it was just so interesting <v Speaker 2>that it was worthy of actually talking about. So what <v Speaker 2>I have done to back this up is I've taken <v Speaker 2>screenshots and you can cut to me of every episode <v Speaker 2>of the podcast for the last nine months. Because all <v Speaker 2>these leaks started nine months ago. How come when I <v Speaker 2>zoom in, I lose my scrollber never mind, I don't <v Speaker 2>know what to tell you. It's a mac. So out <v Speaker 2>of the last twenty eight episodes we did on the podcast, <v Speaker 2>nine were about switch leaks. Now, I gotta say for <v Speaker 2>a Nintendo themed podcast, when for the last nine months <v Speaker 2>it's been nothing but switch leaks. A third of the <v Speaker 2>episodes that bad, and then two thirds were me trying <v Speaker 2>to find anything else to talk about. I mean, I <v Speaker 2>just want to I just want to like relieve myself <v Speaker 2>of some guilt here. So here are all the episodes, <v Speaker 2>so from most recent to back nine months ago. Yep, <v Speaker 2>this is the switch to This was the final episode <v Speaker 2>of the year, the two hour special, and it's a <v Speaker 2>taking a full look at the console leak that we <v Speaker 2>now know was the actual console. I don't know how <v Speaker 2>how on earth I was to not talk about that <v Speaker 2>that week, but before that, this was this is a <v Speaker 2>month ago. I don't know how long ago. This was <v Speaker 2>no switch to joy Cons leaked, but are they real <v Speaker 2>or fake? Where we looked at those blurry alien potato <v Speaker 2>images of the joy Cons which we now know are real, <v Speaker 2>But at the time I was even trying to set <v Speaker 2>it up with are these reel or fake? Which I <v Speaker 2>thought they were real at the time two months ago, <v Speaker 2>So there's a month gap in between those leaks. Nintendo <v Speaker 2>switched to revealed backwards compatibility. This was based on foot <v Speaker 2>Car was tweet that it was going to be backwards compatible. <v Speaker 2>Huge news, something that I was so excited for, and <v Speaker 2>an action will update from him. That's not even a leak, <v Speaker 2>that's not even a leak. That's just that's I'm saying. <v Speaker 2>I put everything within the tenno switch to in the <v Speaker 2>title for the last nine months. It's in here, no <v Speaker 2>matter what it is, So where is the switch to? <v Speaker 2>So this one was a follow up on episode ten. <v Speaker 2>You might remember this. This is the one thing we <v Speaker 2>reported on which to be fair. At the time, I <v Speaker 2>was like, I don't know about this. <v Speaker 1>It was those Luigi bloodstuff. <v Speaker 2>No, it was, And I almost want to pull it <v Speaker 2>up because I want to write these people out of <v Speaker 2>being able to give leaks again. But it was those <v Speaker 2>industry insiders that work in analytics that were saying that <v Speaker 2>the Nintendo was ramping up production so they expected a <v Speaker 2>reveal before the Tokyo Game Awards. It was either going <v Speaker 2>to be before the Tokyo Game Awards or just after. <v Speaker 2>And that was everyone was talking about that at the time, <v Speaker 2>and they were talking about like a like a March <v Speaker 2>release or something, and we made an episode talking about that. <v Speaker 2>And then this was after those dates had gone us <v Speaker 2>being like, so where is it? Because you said it <v Speaker 2>was going to be here. So those two be fair <v Speaker 2>were all based on tweets that went viral, but that <v Speaker 2>were false information. I'll give you that one. This one <v Speaker 2>was neda switch too leaked and it's boring, so this <v Speaker 2>was obvious. But this was the model render that leaked, <v Speaker 2>as well as the shells that leaked, all ended up <v Speaker 2>being true. I have the model render sat in front <v Speaker 2>of me. This was that episode ten where we were <v Speaker 2>looking at the industry insiders. Now, I will say my <v Speaker 2>thumbnail for this one is I photoshopped some ridiculous looking <v Speaker 2>switch to thing because we didn't know. We didn't even <v Speaker 2>have these leaks at that point of what it looked like, <v Speaker 2>so I was kind of just creating something for the thumbnail. <v Speaker 2>Then five months ago, the HEDDA switched to April release <v Speaker 2>and spec leak. This was me and Dreamcast guy five <v Speaker 2>months ago talking about spec leaks that came out. I <v Speaker 2>actually went back and looked at those spec leaks, and <v Speaker 2>the leak said that it was going to have an <v Speaker 2>Nvidia T two three nine chip, and as of a <v Speaker 2>month ago when we saw the motherboard, it has an <v Speaker 2>Nvidia T two three nine chip. Okay, there were some <v Speaker 2>other things in there that the article was talking about <v Speaker 2>that we don't have any information on yet, so it <v Speaker 2>could be true, it could be false, but I found <v Speaker 2>that interesting that that was from August and also predicting <v Speaker 2>an April release, which is obviously wrong now, but we <v Speaker 2>are getting an April direct so who knows on that one. <v Speaker 2>Then this was five months ago, Natenna switched two big <v Speaker 2>launch titles. This was not even a leak. This was <v Speaker 2>industry insiders talking about how third party devs were talking <v Speaker 2>about how they regretted not supporting the switch one at <v Speaker 2>the beginning after they saw how much it exploded, so <v Speaker 2>they planned to support the switch to heavier on launch. <v Speaker 2>And since then we've had tons of articles from all <v Speaker 2>kinds of companies in the gaming industry backing up the <v Speaker 2>same thing and saying that they are going to be <v Speaker 2>supporting switch. Even right now we see Microsoft considering putting <v Speaker 2>Halo on the console, and I do feel like this <v Speaker 2>is something that's still happening and it's still very exciting. <v Speaker 2>Huge by the way, Huge by the way. And then finally, <v Speaker 2>nine months ago, so there was literally a three month <v Speaker 2>window between these nine months ago, the switch to was <v Speaker 2>actually four K sixty fps. Now, I'll give you this one. <v Speaker 2>This one was a little clickbaity. So this is actually <v Speaker 2>about somebody who modeled their O led switch to play <v Speaker 2>Breath of the Wild in four K. I spun that <v Speaker 2>into a conversation about the switch to being four K <v Speaker 2>based on Nintendo taking the switch to games Calm or <v Speaker 2>whatever like two years or three years ago and showing <v Speaker 2>Breath of the Wild and Final Fantasy seven and the <v Speaker 2>Matrix reloaded all in four K on the console behind <v Speaker 2>closed doors. That's where my whole theory originated about Nintendo <v Speaker 2>using AI upscaling to get to four K on the <v Speaker 2>new console, and that's everything. And got to say all <v Speaker 2>of that, I feel like holds up even looking at <v Speaker 2>these industry rumors that were blowing up, because all we <v Speaker 2>were doing is saying, do we think it's real? We'll <v Speaker 2>have to wait and see. Oh it wasn't real. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I think the point of all of this is kind <v Speaker 1>of us just saying, like, hey, guys, we weren't just <v Speaker 1>feeding you a bunch of bullshit this whole time. You know, <v Speaker 1>we weren't trying to do that. <v Speaker 2>Like that's one hundred percent. I just wanted to I <v Speaker 2>don't even want to say clear my name, because I <v Speaker 2>do feel like there are people out there that rope <v Speaker 2>me into the people that abuse switch to leaks and rumors, right, <v Speaker 2>and I that does bother me a little bit because <v Speaker 2>on my main channel, I've done one leak video that <v Speaker 2>was like a week ago, and it holds up very well. <v Speaker 2>On my Reactor Maps channel, I don't talk about Nintendo <v Speaker 2>at all and on a Nintendo focused gaming podcast where <v Speaker 2>I have to make an episode every week. I did <v Speaker 2>it nine times throughout nine months, and every single one <v Speaker 2>holds up. So if I could have any brevity moving <v Speaker 2>forward when it comes to talking about leaks or rumors <v Speaker 2>in the future, I would appreciate it. That's all. That's <v Speaker 2>all I'm saying. If you're going to rock me in <v Speaker 2>to all of the leaks, rumors, people that you say, <v Speaker 2>milk them for a career, I did the best I could. <v Speaker 2>I did the best I could. <v Speaker 1>Now having said that, I have confirmation that the Switch <v Speaker 1>three is going to. <v Speaker 2>Be eight K. Let's talk about it. <v Speaker 1>Let's talk. Let's get in aipcaling. It's going to be <v Speaker 1>four K with eight K AAI upscaling, it's going to <v Speaker 1>be Uh. I'm very excited for this is confirmed by <v Speaker 1>the way I have insider sources. <v Speaker 2>I believe you, and if you're wrong, you're getting fired. <v Speaker 2>So in ten years from now, I can live with that. <v Speaker 1>Anyway. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I thought. I just thought that was interesting, and <v Speaker 2>I do see a lot of comments about that, so <v Speaker 2>I just wanted to clear that up on my side <v Speaker 2>of the fence that I really wasn't trying to lead you, <v Speaker 2>guys astray or manipulate you into clicking on videos based <v Speaker 2>on rumors or leaks that I honestly didn't feel we're true. <v Speaker 2>I just want to say that I honestly do care <v Speaker 2>about your time, I care about your attention, I care <v Speaker 2>about the love that you give the show in the podcast, <v Speaker 2>and I am not trying to manipulate you with clickbait <v Speaker 2>or false rumors or any of that just to try <v Speaker 2>and get some views to pay some bills. And I <v Speaker 2>hope that that helped clear that up for anybody that <v Speaker 2>thought maybe I was doing that. I heard that makes <v Speaker 2>sense makes sense to me because I take that stuff <v Speaker 2>very seriously, and I feel like sometimes the podcast gets <v Speaker 2>hate a little roughly about certain things, and some of <v Speaker 2>it's valid, some of it's valid that one I feel <v Speaker 2>like it might not be in my opinion, but if <v Speaker 2>you think differently even now, that's fine. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>And it's like we're like, we don't clickbait here. Sorry, <v Speaker 1>we do clickbait, absolutely saying we do clickbait here, but <v Speaker 1>we're never clickbaiting anything that's a cont We're not confirming anything. <v Speaker 2>Yeah bait. You know, like everybody online for the most part. <v Speaker 2>There are definitely creators that get away without being able <v Speaker 2>to clickbait. There are people like moist Critical and Ludwig <v Speaker 2>and these these Muketplier, these huge creators that can put <v Speaker 2>out a video of them sneezing and people will pay <v Speaker 2>attention and no shade to them. They're very interesting people <v Speaker 2>that have built an incredible career. But most people, ninety <v Speaker 2>nine percent of people that are creating content online I <v Speaker 2>try and to bait you into clicking on their products. Now, <v Speaker 2>as a as a creator, it's your responsibility to make <v Speaker 2>sure that the content you're creating is quality, and the <v Speaker 2>content you're creating is worth somebody, even if they're being <v Speaker 2>forward into clicking on it, that it's worth their time <v Speaker 2>to actually be there and watch it. And the baseline <v Speaker 2>that you're not lying When I say clickbait, I mean <v Speaker 2>I'm trying to make things look as clickable as possible. <v Speaker 2>I'm going to photoshop some fake render of a switch <v Speaker 2>to be in a thumbnail if we don't know what <v Speaker 2>the switch looks like. As long as what I'm talking <v Speaker 2>about and the title reflects what the actual episode is, <v Speaker 2>I personally am okay with it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, but it's like, dude, Like, there were some people <v Speaker 1>out there and I won't use names, but like, I <v Speaker 1>remember we were sitting one day. I was like sitting <v Speaker 1>here getting ready for stream, like after we did the <v Speaker 1>podcast one night and I saw video. I was like, <v Speaker 1>what is this? It looked like it was literally it's <v Speaker 1>like it's The title was something like this is the <v Speaker 1>Nintendo switch too, And I was like, wait what And <v Speaker 1>it's like it's just a render of like the switch <v Speaker 1>to like with a white background. It looked very legitimate, <v Speaker 1>even like the the the profile picture for the YouTube <v Speaker 1>channel looked almost like a Nintendo logo, and I like, <v Speaker 1>got got so fast. Yeah, I got got And I <v Speaker 1>was like, have you've seen this? And you're just like <v Speaker 1>He's like You're just like you got god dude. <v Speaker 2>Oh I think I don't remember what it was exactly, <v Speaker 2>but there was some render going around that people were <v Speaker 2>falling for. Yeah, I remember that. I remember what it <v Speaker 2>looked like. As soon as you said that, my brain <v Speaker 2>was like, are you trolling me? Because there is one <v Speaker 2>video in my Beat him Up's library that was controversial <v Speaker 2>for a lot of people, and funny enough, it sat <v Speaker 2>right here. This stupid thing is still relevant. The reason <v Speaker 2>why it's here is because you can use its thinging <v Speaker 2>like a mouse, and I just think it's interesting to <v Speaker 2>have this for this video. My review of this was <v Speaker 2>called this isn't Someone sent me a Nintendo switch to, <v Speaker 2>and it was me holding this in the title. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, but see that's fine because it's not so I agree. <v Speaker 2>That's a whole conversation I've had with my community. It <v Speaker 2>was this was in the thumbnail. You can see I'm <v Speaker 2>holding it. I thought it was pretty clear. What I <v Speaker 2>was doing is because you can use these like joy cons, <v Speaker 2>and it's a more powerful version of what the switch is. <v Speaker 2>It was my little like dorky, cutesy, stupid this is <v Speaker 2>a switch to because look what it can do. And <v Speaker 2>people got really upset because they thought I legitimately had <v Speaker 2>a switch to and that's what I was saying, which <v Speaker 2>I get, Which I get that one is dicey. I'll <v Speaker 2>give you that one. I thought it was fine and <v Speaker 2>I left it the way it is. But a lot <v Speaker 2>of people were upset by that one. True I was, <v Speaker 2>I was holding this in the thumbnail. All right, let's <v Speaker 2>get back to being not that I'm not, but let's <v Speaker 2>get back to being excited about the Switch too, although <v Speaker 2>is that everything Nintendo Direct? Oh so uh. I was <v Speaker 2>a little confused when I watched trailer to begin with <v Speaker 2>because it said I was just so excited. I was <v Speaker 2>reading what I wanted to read. It said April second, <v Speaker 2>and I was like, oh my god, it's releasing April second. <v Speaker 2>That is actually a direct. So if we wanted to <v Speaker 2>speculate what's in that direct, as Alu was saying, it's <v Speaker 2>most likely going to show some games, It's gonna show <v Speaker 2>it's gonna be a It's going to be the first <v Speaker 2>Switch to direct, so we're going to see for the <v Speaker 2>first time games that are coming to the Switch too. <v Speaker 2>It's going to be the most fun and exciting direct <v Speaker 2>we've had in a very long time, because we've had <v Speaker 2>some directs in the last years, the year or two <v Speaker 2>of the Switch that managed to do an incredible job <v Speaker 2>considering where we're at with the console. But do you <v Speaker 2>remember those early Switch directs or even mid life span directs, <v Speaker 2>But every single one was so hype and the surprises <v Speaker 2>and the last one more things were always a banger <v Speaker 2>that restarts Now it does for the next three four <v Speaker 2>years we get banger directs again, and this one coming <v Speaker 2>is gonna give us a lot about the console, and <v Speaker 2>I'm hoping a lot about it will have the launch <v Speaker 2>games because it has to because it's so close to <v Speaker 2>the launch window. I'm my little guesses are Mario cut <v Speaker 2>whatever we're calling it. I really am feeling elderering day one. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>because it's I've said this and I made a video <v Speaker 2>about games I think are coming to switch. Actually I <v Speaker 2>had a. <v Speaker 1>Switch to it switched to Skyrim is what it is. <v Speaker 2>Yes, So if you can cut to me, I just <v Speaker 2>want to show, Oh god, it's so. I also have <v Speaker 2>a theory on what the cases are going to look like. <v Speaker 2>This is just my little theory, my little guess on <v Speaker 2>what the cases are real. Correct, I think the cases <v Speaker 2>will be read. I think they'll be all read for <v Speaker 2>the switch too. There does need to be a way <v Speaker 2>to differentiate from I think it needs to be differentiated. <v Speaker 2>And also not to use the WU for an example. <v Speaker 2>But when they went from we to we you, they <v Speaker 2>made the cases blue, and I think they have a <v Speaker 2>really nice they stand out. My little guess is that <v Speaker 2>I think we're gonna get red cases. Just just my <v Speaker 2>little guess. We'll see, But yeah, I do think we'll <v Speaker 2>get elden Ring that the GDA in here is a <v Speaker 2>little bit of clickbait because I talked about GDA definitely <v Speaker 2>not coming to Switch too, because I heard some people like, <v Speaker 2>do you think it will no Shot on Hell? But <v Speaker 2>I think we'll get that, Mario Kart. I do think <v Speaker 2>we'll get Monster Hunter Wild's at some point. I think <v Speaker 2>we'll definitely get Metaphor at some point. If you want <v Speaker 2>to look at this video, they're all the games I <v Speaker 2>think will come to Switch to other than GDA. But <v Speaker 2>elden Ring you can cut away. Elden Ring was inspired <v Speaker 2>by Breath of the Wild. Developers themselves said they wanted <v Speaker 2>to take their from soft style Elder Ring Dark Souls <v Speaker 2>games blend it with Breath of the Wild and they <v Speaker 2>made out and Ring so and as you said, Switch <v Speaker 2>one launched with Skyrim. Now, a lot of what Nintendo <v Speaker 2>is doing right now is trying to recreate the success <v Speaker 2>and recreate the beats of what went into Switch one. <v Speaker 2>And one of the big things was it had Skyrim <v Speaker 2>on it good it had Skyrim on the console, and <v Speaker 2>they showed that in the reveal trailer. And the reason <v Speaker 2>why they did that is because for a lot of people, <v Speaker 2>it was a moment of Oh, it can play Skyrim. <v Speaker 2>This thing can play skyrin a big, big at the time, <v Speaker 2>and how do you recreate that right now? Oh, this <v Speaker 2>can play elden Ring. Like that's a kind of an <v Speaker 2>eye opening moment. I think for a lot of people <v Speaker 2>that are doubting what this thing can do. If it <v Speaker 2>can play a game that literally released two years ago. <v Speaker 1>It's for different reasons though that it's eye opening, right, <v Speaker 1>I think it's for the same reason well, because for me, <v Speaker 1>especially when it comes to elden Ring, because my reaction <v Speaker 1>when I saw the Skyrim was playable on the Switch <v Speaker 1>when it initially was when the ad first came out, <v Speaker 1>I was like, Oh, that's crazy. I never thought I'd <v Speaker 1>be able to play Skyrim on a like a console <v Speaker 1>like on the go, like yeah, you know, like a <v Speaker 1>mobile thing. And now that's like a less impressive thing <v Speaker 1>to because there are a lot of things out there <v Speaker 1>that a lot of the hardware that you can play <v Speaker 1>decent games on. <v Speaker 2>Sure, if you want to get like a handheld PC. <v Speaker 1>Yeah exactly, like there's other like so. But the thing is, though, <v Speaker 1>I think it's for the price point that it is <v Speaker 1>like because a lot of people are priced out of <v Speaker 1>things like a like a rock. <v Speaker 2>Ally, well, not only are they priced out of things <v Speaker 2>like that, for a lot of people, those things don't matter. <v Speaker 2>The steam deck has sold three million units. Like people <v Speaker 2>aren't like, oh, if I want to play ellener Ing, <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna play it on my steam Deck because they <v Speaker 2>probably don't have a Steam Deck. They're going to be like, oh, <v Speaker 2>the next switch, which I wanted to buy anyway, is <v Speaker 2>able to play elden Ring. I think you are right. <v Speaker 2>There are a lot of handheld devices now that ruin <v Speaker 2>the perception of a handheld device being able to play <v Speaker 2>something they can play. But I think it's different with <v Speaker 2>Nintendo because everyone most people want to buy a switch, <v Speaker 2>so if it can play eld I think it's still <v Speaker 2>the same like, oh, we thought this was maybe going <v Speaker 2>to be underpowered. We thought maybe this is going to <v Speaker 2>have the power of a PlayStation four. That was the <v Speaker 2>pin we wanted to talk about. I'm pretty sure so <v Speaker 2>we can lead into that now. Elden Ring is also <v Speaker 2>sort of like it's sort of a benchmark for people. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>these days, well, I think there's a lot of things <v Speaker 2>people don't realize here I'm going on so many tangents. <v Speaker 2>But people think like, oh, how could it play elden <v Speaker 2>Ring when it like barely runs on my steam deck <v Speaker 2>or whatever. The steam deck is essentially playing the PC version. <v Speaker 2>There's some optimization there. But when a game company ports <v Speaker 2>a game to a console like switch, like we saw <v Speaker 2>Doom ported to the Switch one, they have a whole <v Speaker 2>other company, in this case Panic Button, work on a <v Speaker 2>specific switch port, developing it for that console, making sure <v Speaker 2>it works on that console, sometimes rebuilding the games back <v Speaker 2>in from scratch to work on that console. So if <v Speaker 2>you take elden Ring and you rebuild it, or you <v Speaker 2>retool it, or you optimize it, and you poured it <v Speaker 2>to the switch, it's a lot easier than saying, hey, <v Speaker 2>this violent version I have for my PC that's never <v Speaker 2>going to run on the switch, because of course it's <v Speaker 2>probably not going to. But on top of that, when <v Speaker 2>people say it only has the power of a PlayStation four, <v Speaker 2>it's kind of a mute point. Right now, the rumor <v Speaker 2>is PlayStation four pro. But the thing is that hardware <v Speaker 2>then we didn't have the technology that we had back then, <v Speaker 2>and then know how we had back then to work <v Speaker 2>with that technology like we do now. Things have gotten <v Speaker 2>a lot easier. Game development has gotten a lot easier. <v Speaker 2>Tools and tricks like Nintendo's own pattern that they just <v Speaker 2>put out recently to take games that are sixty gigs <v Speaker 2>and shrink them down to twenty gigs and the AI upscaling. <v Speaker 2>None of that was available on the PlayStation four. So <v Speaker 2>you take the PlayStation four pro power, but with what <v Speaker 2>you can do to it today, you can get a <v Speaker 2>lot more out of it. And then if you also <v Speaker 2>optimize games for that new power, you can do a <v Speaker 2>lot more than what people are realized. A further, people <v Speaker 2>just think they just hear PlayStation four and they think <v Speaker 2>the graphics are gonna be hard locked at all the <v Speaker 2>PlayStation four games that they've played. It's not gonna be <v Speaker 2>that way. I really don't think it's gonna be that way. <v Speaker 2>I don't think it's a powerhouse, but I think it <v Speaker 2>will be able to compete with something like Steam Deck. <v Speaker 2>But anyway, I do think we're gonna get that elder <v Speaker 2>Ering reveal on launch to go back to that, because <v Speaker 2>I think it's a similar Skyrim situation. Like you were saying, <v Speaker 2>I think we're gonna get Mario Kart as the big <v Speaker 2>first party title. Some people are like, are we gonna <v Speaker 2>get the Metroid day one? I think you get one <v Speaker 2>first party. I don't think Nintendo, Oh, you can cut <v Speaker 2>away from this. <v Speaker 1>I know was showing it again. <v Speaker 2>I looked up again and I thought it'd been there <v Speaker 2>the whole time. My bad, I don't what was I saying? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I don't think you get both on day one, because <v Speaker 2>it's it's splitting the Nintendo is splitting their own fan base. <v Speaker 2>They might not be able to afford like a four hundred, <v Speaker 2>five hundred the console whatever and a seventy dollar probably <v Speaker 2>Mario catt and a seventy dollars Metroid and Metroid being <v Speaker 2>the game that they're worried about. They spent so long <v Speaker 2>developing it, and the sales of this game is going <v Speaker 2>to be so important. I think you want to get <v Speaker 2>people on board. You want to get the install base first. <v Speaker 2>You want to get everyone buying that switch to one <v Speaker 2>launch with Mario Kart. Then once you have the twenty <v Speaker 2>million people on board, because Nintendo are predicting right now <v Speaker 2>they're going to have twenty million units available for the <v Speaker 2>first year of the switch, So you want to get <v Speaker 2>those Let's say best case scenario twenty many, twenty million <v Speaker 2>people on board, and then you want to drop Metroid <v Speaker 2>after several months, where people I feel like twenty millions, <v Speaker 2>that's a lot of units. I know it's a lot. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if they'll sell that many, but that's <v Speaker 2>what they're expecting. I think PlayStation five did like ten well, <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I like having a lot of inventory available is going <v Speaker 1>to be nice. Like the idea of having to like <v Speaker 1>buy it from a scalper, yeah, I think they really <v Speaker 1>should never happen. <v Speaker 2>They're really trying to avoid that, and I think it <v Speaker 2>makes sense because if you buy it from a scalpol, <v Speaker 2>that doesn't count a Nintendo number, So why would they. <v Speaker 2>They want this to be biggest selling poll. So I <v Speaker 2>think it's going to be widely available, and yeah, you <v Speaker 2>get that in store base a few months go by. <v Speaker 2>It's a new console. There's not many people developing for <v Speaker 2>it yet or releasing things yet. People are a little hungry. <v Speaker 2>You drop a Metroid, people have no choice and there's <v Speaker 2>like maybe ten million of them there. That's that's the <v Speaker 2>plan I think for releasing metroids. So I don't think <v Speaker 2>we'll get any other first party. As far as that, <v Speaker 2>if we're looking into the echoes of Nintendo repeating and <v Speaker 2>like going through some I think it'd be funny if <v Speaker 2>the Switch one released with street Fighter too, the old <v Speaker 2>school one in like a package. It would be awesome <v Speaker 2>if this one released a street Fighter six, the brand <v Speaker 2>new one playable on the console. I think that would <v Speaker 2>be a really cool homage. And it also gives people <v Speaker 2>a fighting game. It gives people, you know, water, I'm okay, <v Speaker 2>I'm sharing a hard time. It gives people a fight, <v Speaker 2>It gives people a racing game. It gives people an <v Speaker 2>open action, open world elden ring game when you're hitting <v Speaker 2>a lot of genres here. I don't know what else <v Speaker 2>you want to throw in. Apparently I've heard twenty five <v Speaker 2>launch games for this console, and then you have all <v Speaker 2>your backwards compatibility. I think that tweet also asked or <v Speaker 2>that super sat also asked about like old games playable <v Speaker 2>in four K. I'm really there's a lot of things. <v Speaker 2>I feel like Boxes has been checked with things that <v Speaker 2>I was kind of predicting or wanting, things like Mario Cutt. <v Speaker 2>Something I have been talking about for like two years, <v Speaker 2>if not more at this point is the idea of <v Speaker 2>end videos AI upscaling. I really think that's going to <v Speaker 2>be a part of this console. I think Nintendo they <v Speaker 2>are always a step behind, but they've been a step <v Speaker 2>behind with resolutions this last generation, and I think even <v Speaker 2>now them releasing artificial AI upscaling is still a step behind. <v Speaker 2>So I think they know that that's where they have <v Speaker 2>to be. They filed a pattern recently that I talked <v Speaker 2>about in my last beat them ups video of actually <v Speaker 2>doing AI upscaling and reducing file sizes and then boosting <v Speaker 2>them back up artificially. I think we will see two K, <v Speaker 2>four K something like that, something like higher resolutions and <v Speaker 2>doing it artificially. And I do think they'll release patches <v Speaker 2>for a lot of their more popular games. Mariocart eight <v Speaker 2>Deluxe is an obvious one, although maybe it's not because <v Speaker 2>they might want to just forget about it and move <v Speaker 2>on the new one. I don't know. Breath of the Wild, <v Speaker 2>Tiers of the Kingdom, those are obvious ones. Animal Crossing <v Speaker 2>that's an obvious easy one. I think a lot of those. <v Speaker 2>Mario Odyssey as well, obvious easy one. Super Smash Brothers. <v Speaker 2>I do think Day one. A lot of these games <v Speaker 2>are going to have free patches. This is just my theory. <v Speaker 2>I'm just guessing free patches that you can just download <v Speaker 2>and they just make your games look and play better <v Speaker 2>on the Switch. I think Breath of the Wild won't <v Speaker 2>have frame rate issues anymore, might even be sixty frames. <v Speaker 2>I think Tiers of the Kingdom will have a little <v Speaker 2>bit of a harder time with frames, but I think <v Speaker 2>it will have improved resolutions. <v Speaker 1>Well, I would think that with US with better hardware, <v Speaker 1>not even with hard not even with like AA upscaling, <v Speaker 1>that these games would be able to run like at <v Speaker 1>sixty fps. <v Speaker 2>Well I think so too. The thing is they have <v Speaker 2>to get patched. Sure. So this is something that a <v Speaker 2>lot of people have taught me because I really thought <v Speaker 2>better hardware means you can just stick in an old <v Speaker 2>game and of course it'll run better. And it might <v Speaker 2>in some ways, in very small, minuture wayser you probably <v Speaker 2>won't even notice. Maybe low times will be quicker, But <v Speaker 2>if you really want to get the most out of it, <v Speaker 2>it does have to be optimized if you do want. <v Speaker 2>Because these games, for example, Breath of the Wild, the <v Speaker 2>game the Switch version is probably locked at thirty fps. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I highly doubt it has anything in its coding to <v Speaker 2>let it go up to sixty, it's probably locked at thirty. <v Speaker 2>So you stick that in a switch too, and it's <v Speaker 2>coding it's locked to thirty. So you still need the intended <v Speaker 2>to go in there and optimize it to give it <v Speaker 2>the sixty, to give it the whatever, make sure that <v Speaker 2>it works. And I do think we will have that <v Speaker 2>on launch date. Will games like elden Ring be able <v Speaker 2>to do two K four K with the upscaling, I <v Speaker 2>don't know. They might cap games like that at ten eighty, <v Speaker 2>especially if they want to. It's probably gonna be thirty <v Speaker 2>frames cap it at ten eighty stuff like that for <v Speaker 2>the bigger experiences, I mean, I'm not fooling myself here <v Speaker 2>at all. You take Switch one for an example, games <v Speaker 2>like Outer Worlds, which was an absolute mess of a <v Speaker 2>game that was like three sixty p and thirty frames <v Speaker 2>just to get it to fit on the system. There <v Speaker 2>are going to be games like eldon Ring that are <v Speaker 2>lower resolution and lower frame rates. Sure, they're not going <v Speaker 2>to be four K, they're not going to be sixty frames. <v Speaker 2>But games like Breath of the Wild, a lot of <v Speaker 2>indie games like Haitis two, stuff like that those could <v Speaker 2>definitely utilize the AI up scaling and try and get <v Speaker 2>the four K I have. I am lost, I am <v Speaker 2>talking so much, I am so excited. <v Speaker 1>Thirty seven by the way, seven. <v Speaker 2>Okay, that's not bad. That's actually not too bad. Too bad. <v Speaker 2>I thought we were longer than that. How are we doing? <v Speaker 2>What's the vibe? Do we want to wind down? Do <v Speaker 2>we have any super chats? Any questions, any comments? <v Speaker 1>The super chats are are are taken care of at <v Speaker 1>this point. Okay. The general vibe from the chat seems <v Speaker 1>to be positive and excited from what I can tell. <v Speaker 1>You know, obviously there's there's some amount of negativity in there, <v Speaker 1>but like, what are you going to do? <v Speaker 2>You know? Some some people just only want to be <v Speaker 2>negative about it. I think it's going to be tough <v Speaker 2>until people see specs. I think people won't make their <v Speaker 2>mind up until they see games running on it. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>a lot of people, that's all that matters, and that <v Speaker 2>is a very very important part. I'm not discrediting it, <v Speaker 2>and I look forward to seeing it too. Obviously, it <v Speaker 2>would be absolutely wild. If we get our hands on <v Speaker 2>this thing and it's barely more powerful than a switch, <v Speaker 2>that would be so disappointing, and I would fear for <v Speaker 2>my career for the next eight years. <v Speaker 1>I think maybe let's get let's get a little pole <v Speaker 1>going in the chat. Are we excited for the switch <v Speaker 1>to I'll do it? I got it, you got you <v Speaker 1>do it? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, obviously there are definitely still questions, and I don't <v Speaker 2>blame people for being worried. I'll say it's interesting to me. <v Speaker 2>And I was talking to my friend RGT about this, <v Speaker 2>and I kind of want to bring him on for <v Speaker 2>an episode to talk about this because more than anybody, <v Speaker 2>him and I have a lot of experience with what <v Speaker 2>happened eight nine years ago, and I was telling him <v Speaker 2>how funny it is that were it's kind of history <v Speaker 2>repeating itself, not as badly, but it's definitely echoes of <v Speaker 2>it still there. When we were going in from the <v Speaker 2>WIU And if you guys have been following me for <v Speaker 2>a long time, there's a poll in chat by the way. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>when we're going into the switch, I was making content <v Speaker 2>about the WIU here and there Games Worth Buying. That's <v Speaker 2>actually probably my first video that did really well was <v Speaker 2>WEU Games Worth Buying, And that's while the WEU was <v Speaker 2>out and we didn't even know about the switch, just <v Speaker 2>back when I was in Australia, so I was kind <v Speaker 2>of in that scene at the time. I was making <v Speaker 2>content about the WU when no one else really was <v Speaker 2>because a no one cared about it, like thirteen million <v Speaker 2>consoles sold, there was no one looking up that information. <v Speaker 2>Especially at the end of the wu's lifespan. Nobody was <v Speaker 2>looking up that information. And Nintendo used to block gameplay <v Speaker 2>footage and block any kind of their material being used <v Speaker 2>in videos, so content creators were scared to even do it. <v Speaker 2>And I remember back then, I found ways to work <v Speaker 2>around that by chopping up the footage and hiding the footage, <v Speaker 2>and I was doing my best at actually making content <v Speaker 2>around the console. So I was in that scene, so <v Speaker 2>was our GT. And then when the switch was coming around, <v Speaker 2>nobody was convinced. The general consensus back then was the <v Speaker 2>switch is going to fail. Even when we before we <v Speaker 2>knew what it was, everyone assumed the next thing is <v Speaker 2>going to fail because look at the WEU, how could <v Speaker 2>they ever turn it around, which isn't a crazy thing <v Speaker 2>to think about. And then when we saw the switch, <v Speaker 2>even when we when we saw what it was, people <v Speaker 2>were like, they're going they're ruining it, they're moving away <v Speaker 2>from the home console. Now it's going to be underpowered. <v Speaker 2>It's going to be underpowered, was the biggest thing. It's <v Speaker 2>going to be an underpowered handheld and people still thought <v Speaker 2>it was going to fail. A lot of my videos <v Speaker 2>back then, in conversations back then, in my podcast I <v Speaker 2>had with Eric back then, the Wooden Eric podcast, Everything's Taken, <v Speaker 2>We're a lot of our conversations back then were about <v Speaker 2>how everyone was saying it was doomed to fail. That <v Speaker 2>was the big key tagline. And then it became a <v Speaker 2>joke when doom was revealed for it, because we were like, <v Speaker 2>it's literally doomed to fail. And I remember I did <v Speaker 2>a podcast episode you can go back and watch with <v Speaker 2>a good friend of mine, re Res. He came on <v Speaker 2>a special guest with me and Eric, and he was <v Speaker 2>of the notion that it was going to fail, and <v Speaker 2>we were of the notion that, of course it was <v Speaker 2>going to be a success. And we talked about it <v Speaker 2>for an hour and most people thought the way he thought, <v Speaker 2>and then you go on to it being a huge success. <v Speaker 2>And at the time, I was like, I don't know <v Speaker 2>how people don't see this. I honestly don't know how <v Speaker 2>people don't realize what's about to happen and how smart <v Speaker 2>it is to merge their big budget home console and <v Speaker 2>their big titles in with their handheld market, which is <v Speaker 2>doing so well. <v Speaker 1>I remember when I when I first heard about it, <v Speaker 1>I was I was exciting. I thought it was gonna <v Speaker 1>be sick. So you're a real one. Yeah, And now <v Speaker 1>we're here again. In a small way, I think because <v Speaker 1>people have so much confidence from the Switch that it's <v Speaker 1>almost like it's the reverse now where it's like, how <v Speaker 1>can the switch to even fail? But there are still <v Speaker 1>so many people doubting if it's going to be able <v Speaker 1>to play games, if it's going to be powerful, what <v Speaker 1>it's capable of, if it will be a success. People <v Speaker 1>think like it's back was compatible, or like why would <v Speaker 1>I even upgrade, or if it's going to be more expensive, <v Speaker 1>I'll just play the old one. Just wait, just wait, <v Speaker 1>give it just I think the launch, I honestly think <v Speaker 1>the launch will be bigger than Switch one's launch. I <v Speaker 1>think it's almost impossible for it not to when you <v Speaker 1>can quote me on that, and then I think six <v Speaker 1>months in a year in people are going to realize <v Speaker 1>what's happening, And that's what happened last time, Because I <v Speaker 1>remember last time, six months in I had a video <v Speaker 1>up ten Switch Games worth Buying and five that aren't. <v Speaker 1>It was whatever video, a thousand views whatever at the time. <v Speaker 1>Six months in it randomly started ticking up, and now <v Speaker 1>it's one of my most viewed videos of all time, <v Speaker 1>and most of those views are from back then because <v Speaker 1>all of a sudden people wanted to switch. <v Speaker 2>All of a sudden people realized the switch was good, <v Speaker 2>and they were like going to YouTube Switch Games worth Buying. <v Speaker 2>Guess who like the only suckers. They're making videos like <v Speaker 2>me r or RGT eighty five and a couple others, <v Speaker 2>And that's why we're here now, pioneers. Well, it's not <v Speaker 2>me taking credit, or it's not me boasting my toast <v Speaker 2>Alo's toast. It's me trying to make you realize what <v Speaker 2>happened back then compared to what is happening now. Right, <v Speaker 2>By the way, I was just lucky that I can the. <v Speaker 1>Poll polland chat is interesting to me, right because it's <v Speaker 1>not interest not surprising at all, because it's ninety seven <v Speaker 1>percent of the chat is excited. <v Speaker 2>For the switch. Ninety now you guys. <v Speaker 1>But but see this is this is a this is <v Speaker 1>a lesson in vocal minority, right because while the poll <v Speaker 1>was running, somebody gave us a super chat which, by <v Speaker 1>the way, thanks for the two dollars. They said, switch <v Speaker 1>to you mean switch pooh? Right, I mean, like, come on, <v Speaker 1>how old are we? But but at the same time, <v Speaker 1>it's just like most of us here are pretty excited <v Speaker 1>about this. I mean basically all of us here. I'm <v Speaker 1>excited excited. So I don't know, I just thought that <v Speaker 1>was kind of funny, how like you know, I'm like, <v Speaker 1>even even before that comment, I'm so excited, Like even <v Speaker 1>before that comment, like I saw it, like like I <v Speaker 1>was like, yeah, chat has been mostly positive, but there's <v Speaker 1>a little bit of negativity in there. <v Speaker 2>And it's like you notice the negativity so much more. <v Speaker 1>Than positivity, right, yea, because most people are just here, <v Speaker 1>aren't even typing in chat, and then some people just <v Speaker 1>want to show up just to be like negative. <v Speaker 2>I think I think it's fine, honestly, Like when I <v Speaker 2>when I'm talking about the negativity, I'm talking about people <v Speaker 2>that I just doubted that it would be good, And <v Speaker 2>I think I think that's just misconceptions or maybe that right, <v Speaker 2>who knows. I mean, I'm not saying I'm right. I <v Speaker 2>don't think all those people are negative. I don't think <v Speaker 2>all those people are spiteful. But I do think there <v Speaker 2>are some people that that do like Switch. Pooh, he's <v Speaker 2>probably joking. He put a super chat. Yeah. I think <v Speaker 2>there people that hate things just because they're popular, for sure. Sure, <v Speaker 2>and they want they want to see things fail, for sure. <v Speaker 2>But now I'm really excited. Like I think back to <v Speaker 2>when I got my first Switch. I remember it so vividly. <v Speaker 2>I was living in a basement and a big rental <v Speaker 2>that like ten people were renting. There were so many, <v Speaker 2>they were all college kids. And then there was me <v Speaker 2>working in a restaurant and making YouTube videos in the basement. <v Speaker 2>I remember getting home. I remember unboxing it like it <v Speaker 2>was yesterday, and like none of it's filmed because I <v Speaker 2>wasn't really doing Switch content back then, and I didn't <v Speaker 2>know if I was going to. I hadn't done it <v Speaker 2>unboxing before, so all of that was just me in <v Speaker 2>my room on my own. I was living on my <v Speaker 2>own and docking it and getting that experience for the <v Speaker 2>first time and loading up Breath of the Wild and <v Speaker 2>just sitting there and playing for hours and hours and hours. <v Speaker 2>I cannot wait to do that again. I'm going to <v Speaker 2>play so much Mariocard except now I'm not going to <v Speaker 2>be alone. <v Speaker 1>I'm excited to play Mario Kart with you because. <v Speaker 2>Oh, it's going to be so good historically, be so <v Speaker 2>good historically. I'm real I'm pretty good at Marikott too. <v Speaker 2>I'm pretty good at Marikott as well. The only thing <v Speaker 2>that's going to suck is, like I do have to <v Speaker 2>film it. I have to film the unboxing. I have <v Speaker 2>to film playing the game. It's going to take a <v Speaker 2>lot of the fun out of it for me, but <v Speaker 2>I think, I think it'll be so exciting it'll count <v Speaker 2>of balance it. I just want to get it. I <v Speaker 2>just want to get it out, throw it in and <v Speaker 2>stop playing. But I'm gonna have to set up cameras <v Speaker 2>when I come home, and it's got kind of a nightmare. <v Speaker 2>But I'm not complaining because it's the best job in <v Speaker 2>the world. <v Speaker 1>Are there gonna be staff units or. <v Speaker 2>Like a like a Christmas bonus, like a holiday bonus <v Speaker 2>and just. <v Speaker 1>A staff unit like it's you know, it's a it's <v Speaker 1>you ask me to buy you a switch to Yes, <v Speaker 1>that's what I'm doing. <v Speaker 2>Okay, I'll talk to h we talk to management. I <v Speaker 2>don't want to come across like a bribe, you know, <v Speaker 2>if you commit to your job. Scoot tried to call me. <v Speaker 2>Should I call him back? Uh? Them on discord? If <v Speaker 2>you call them and talk to him on discord, cool <v Speaker 2>chippy answer. <v Speaker 1>Prediction in chat to Scoot answer the phone. <v Speaker 2>We call him. He wants to call about the New <v Speaker 2>York event. I just want to see what he has <v Speaker 2>to say about it. Super chat from Mark. I'm just <v Speaker 2>relieved the wall of games behind WOL will most to <v Speaker 2>be playable and switch to Oh. I was talking about <v Speaker 2>that with him today. I was like, we still this freak. <v Speaker 2>I was like, what they're gonna look like? And I <v Speaker 2>am so excited to start putting the games into the <v Speaker 2>into the wall and start a little switch collections. That's fine. <v Speaker 2>We gave him a chance. He had his chance, Joseph <v Speaker 2>stepping up to five dollars to clarify it was legit. <v Speaker 2>Oh no, I I I thought so, I thought so, Joseph, <v Speaker 2>I thought so. I said that, Uh, day one I <v Speaker 2>day one the switch and we'll attempt to day one <v Speaker 2>the twitch to love you, Joseph. No, I knew you <v Speaker 2>were kidding. It was it was a little joki. I. <v Speaker 2>I guess I'm gonna stream me picking it up again, <v Speaker 2>right like waiting in line if there is a line. <v Speaker 2>I did that for the first one, and that's weirdly, <v Speaker 2>one of my most viewed videos on the channel has <v Speaker 2>just been waiting. You want to do an in real <v Speaker 2>live stream with me? <v Speaker 1>Brother, I'm so glad you asked. <v Speaker 2>I would just need you to not do the what <v Speaker 2>the like sounds what sounds like on your stream? <v Speaker 5>Oh? <v Speaker 1>Tts no, No, this would be channel right. <v Speaker 2>That would be awesome. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we could do and you can do it on <v Speaker 1>it you're doing the pod, or we could do it <v Speaker 1>just on your n beat them ups, whatever you want <v Speaker 1>to do. <v Speaker 2>Let's do beat them up. <v Speaker 1>Let's do it. <v Speaker 2>Okay, that main channel in roural life stream because Ham <v Speaker 2>has all the gear to go life like an actual <v Speaker 2>camera and stuff, and well yeah, we'll live stream going <v Speaker 2>and picking it up. <v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, super down, all right, all right. <v Speaker 2>I honestly I could keep going. There are so many <v Speaker 2>avenues to go down. I think we've exhausted a lot. <v Speaker 2>I think this was good. I think I'm gonna get <v Speaker 2>out of here. We also have to do a bonus episode, <v Speaker 2>so if it's your first time here or you don't know, <v Speaker 2>we have a Patreon. The Patreon is specifically for this channel. <v Speaker 2>It helps pay for things like Ham's wage. It helps <v Speaker 2>pay for Max to do the tiktoks, which now might <v Speaker 2>become just YouTube shorts we might see this weekend. And <v Speaker 2>also like I'm getting new music and new graphics made <v Speaker 2>right now, and all of that is taken out of <v Speaker 2>the Patreon and made possible by you guys. But here's <v Speaker 2>the biggest thing. Here's what you get. All you gotta <v Speaker 2>do is sign up for the Patreon and you get <v Speaker 2>a bonus episode every week. Everything you just saw you <v Speaker 2>get another one that only Patreons have access to, and <v Speaker 2>we do it right after the show, so it's like <v Speaker 2>a live after party bonus episode where we continue the talk. <v Speaker 2>And in this episode, we want to talk about the <v Speaker 2>crazy Pokemon scalpers do because Pokemon released a new card <v Speaker 2>game today or something a new set today, and there's <v Speaker 2>so many videos of people tearing up costcos that I've <v Speaker 2>been seeing on my Instagram reels. So we're gonna look <v Speaker 2>at that. We're gonna cool Scoot, because he just replied <v Speaker 2>to me, he said he's in Discord. We'll do it <v Speaker 2>in the bonus. We'll get him in on the bonus <v Speaker 2>and probably some other things. And you get that all <v Speaker 2>just by joining the Patreon and you get your name <v Speaker 2>in the credit role that just happened a second ago, <v Speaker 2>and you get to join the Discord, which needs to <v Speaker 2>be updated. Yeah, I know. Finally, let me ramble for <v Speaker 2>a couple extra minutes here. For everybody else that doesn't care, <v Speaker 2>you can leave. Thank you so much for supporting this show. <v Speaker 2>This is a brand new season, a brand new year <v Speaker 2>of the Nontendo podcast. I told you I am not <v Speaker 2>giving up on this show.
