Episode 56 - Adeptus Mechanicus pt 1 - Rise of the Mechanicum and creation of the Adeptus Mechanicus

[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so we'll start with the AdMec, which is in their fun interpretation of the value of a living being.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is negative three.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as always though before we begin, please like and comment in the cast.

[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of before we begin, just overview of the eye Mac of what is an ad Mac, especially for anyone who's like needing newer to the game, you're playing space marine two or you're playing road trader or really any of the other games, you ad Mac are
[SPEAKER_02]: one of, in my mind, the most prevalent factions in the games of Forty Kay, but you don't really interact with it.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're very rarely a subject you would play.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's weird because they're their own thing because they have been their own thing, even before the Crusade, before Anna after the Crusades, Ed Mc is Ed, the forges of Mars have been their own thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Emperor had to go
[SPEAKER_00]: get his treaty with Mars.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but let's focus on the, but they had my car.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they had my car.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a technology, technology obsessed.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going with people and heavy air quotes.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into a while later.
[SPEAKER_02]: But they are also the technology and manufacturing arm of the Imperium, all the munitions, vehicles, starships, now primaries, Marines are made by the act.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, in an, in an, in an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an, an
[SPEAKER_00]: At Mac are all about technology, but they're focused on their greed of technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it also lost them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They had their, they're in their own dark ages because they wouldn't share between each other and certain techno warlords at the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: And even now, wouldn't share their, we've lost so much tech.
[SPEAKER_00]: because, and they are also, they aren't as even though they're tech guys, they still have their own religion, I guess you would call it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the ad-mic effectively, they're incredible engineers, they're incredible manufacturers, all these things, because they also worship technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: And one of the key parts of the ad-mic, which is the dark thing, is they also don't worship organic matter.
[SPEAKER_02]: They view all flashes being flawed and weak, and they don't want to preserve it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big thing, and this is because every time, especially military incursions, anytime they have a setback, it's always on how the flesh fail in them every time.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so those are, you'll hear them, you know, my organics have failed me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is a common line that they'll use amongst GWR and really my cosmic.
[SPEAKER_02]: to kind of help them understand where they what they are now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about where they come from.
[SPEAKER_02]: The admec are the oldest faction in the imperial.
[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, they don't predate mankind, but though the oldest faction, they actually were organized before they predate the imperial.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: But by a wide margin.
[SPEAKER_02]: By a wide margin.
[SPEAKER_02]: They eventually became the mechanicum, but they actually stem from further back than that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because as you could imagine, when mankind first went to settle the stars,
[SPEAKER_02]: the first stop on the way out of the galaxy was marked.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they did that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this was done during the age of technology, which is prior to the age of strife.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the pinnacle of mankind was during the age.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is, be exactly the great crusade, definitely not the current version.
[SPEAKER_02]: All of this hails in comparison to the age of technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was the greatest moment of mankind.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mars gets fully terrified.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was not a red planet.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was actually green.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was beautiful.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: We actually made.
[SPEAKER_00]: We screwed up Tara.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we made Mars for a while.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It goes back to the old version.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: As a result of this as we're going the one thing we we touched on it a little bit again.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like fifty episodes ago.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't really know.
[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't record all these back to back.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I actually don't always remember what we recorded a full year ago, but I remember bits and pieces that we did at least talk about when during the age of technology mankind was kind of more of a conglomerate.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Tara and Mars were not governed by the same entity.
[SPEAKER_02]: They had independent entities.
[SPEAKER_02]: They existed peacefully, but Mars was its own place.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the people from Tara and people from Mars did have somewhat different.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the monstrous, we're a huge difference because the people of Mars were more, we need to figure out new technologies, forge them, make us better, even then.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I interpreted it as being the people who came from Earth were focused on colonization of like, we're shouldn't be on, we're going to spread ourselves out.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be on more worlds as a Mars.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're looking for resources.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to go get better resources to build greater things because they were at this stage, the scientists as the best way to look at their scientists and the manufacturers.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they're looking to make it, we'll for them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to find the perfect.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: This though begins to change.
[SPEAKER_02]: Around this is the same time that Eldar started leaning pretty heavily into what I referred to as the F around face.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was getting pretty dark and the warp begins to get more and more turbulent.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is where the first navigators are actually born.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as we said before, well, funny thing that happened, little side-nope of fun story, the navigators were born during the Sarah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Prior to the navigators, we actually were sending fleets of ships throughout the galaxy on like thousand year journeys where multiple generations would be born and died on this ship till they landed there.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's also funny to be really bummed when you're on a generational ship and you show up at your destination and people are like, oh, hey, yeah, they're already there because a warp drive has been invented.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to a navigator and you're landing on this what was supposed to be a garden world and it's already fully colonized.
[SPEAKER_00]: We already wrecked this place.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oops.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, this is where also the STC, the standard template constructs were created.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were created largely by the ad-Mac, which is ironic that, you know, you mean the card of Eden creation kit?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Got a gek.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were building their gecks.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this allows that this moment mankind is
[SPEAKER_02]: It's going, we're in millions of, you know, like you may not millions of plants, but somewhere into that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I should back up the STC's again though, because I think that people think that the STC's are just like a little bit of a terraform a little bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, the STC can just kind of make
[SPEAKER_02]: whatever the hell you need.
[SPEAKER_02]: It varies a bit because it promised, yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: In some code X is, in some readings, you read the call FNSTC and the STC could make something.
[SPEAKER_02]: But then again, the Lehman Musk battle tag was an STC that they found.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was just blueprints.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that STC might have quite a bit of flex that some of them are like, has your own STCs and they just make every all the infrastructure.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they had this creates an entire high world for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just press, press, go.
[SPEAKER_02]: And other ones are like, hear the blue prints are making a ship.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, like, has this until you had a camera?
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, no, you're welcome.
[SPEAKER_02]: For people who are the sense, it's a total of a high-lux, let me up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know what people don't know what that is, look up what a Toyota high-lux is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is all kind of going great, wonderful, and then the elder hit the findout phase.
[SPEAKER_02]: The warpstorms explode all over the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Psychers are popping up on colonies everywhere, and we begin the age of strife.
[SPEAKER_02]: all of these newly formed colonies all around the galaxy went dark to one another and Brad's gonna laugh at this because he knows the reference.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm comparing this to those of us all to have an AT&T cell service in the early two thousands where if you could see the person you were calling, you could actually speak to them on the phone.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's effectively the level of communication they had.
[SPEAKER_02]: Brad's laughing because you work for AT&T back to your story.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Mars, like everywhere else, is consumed by civil war.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which is crazy, because you went, hey, my phone call didn't connect.
[SPEAKER_00]: We should kill everyone.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, man, dial it back a little bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, to be fair, it's in the happen on Earth.
[SPEAKER_02]: But Mars lost all this loss of travel communication.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not clear what happened.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it could be in that maybe Mars was reliant with their colonies for resources.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they had some extra.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what I think is because I think that Mars effectively overmind overdeveloped made the entire world go from grain to factory.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden you have none of the resources that we're coming in because they were a four-year-old before four-year-olds were four-year-olds were four-year-olds.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they weren't getting anything they needed.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think people started resource wars instantaneously.
[SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, though, we lost tens of thousands of years worth of tech.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's right there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's go through kind of the stages of the civil war in Mars though, which is really kind of, you know, kind of, it's incredible how fast this went.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Mars had always had multiple factions inside of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I was just like, like any, any planet, what Mars is a big planet.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's lots of people, they're not, you know, they're not a modelist.
[SPEAKER_02]: As these factions start to go to war with each other, there's a
[SPEAKER_02]: secondary issue for Mars.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that secondary issue is that Mars while it was terraformed apparently they never if you're had to make ozone.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not in charge of the terraforming.
[SPEAKER_00]: This was really weird because yes, this is an all right up.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to pause for a minute because it kind of and I don't want to throw one of the bus for this.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is here.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he chucks them when they make dumb things.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I never understood this one because we've
[SPEAKER_00]: I clearly have the technology to terraform planets to be whatever we want.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that's a radiation shield.
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know why this is Master of Orion II.
[SPEAKER_02]: You could not terraform a planet until you put a radiation shield on it.
[SPEAKER_02]: If it was a radiated world.
[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, that's my tent chance to talk about a game that is very, very, very old.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have to play that on DOS box.
[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
[SPEAKER_00]: My master's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been two.
[SPEAKER_02]: Master one is okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Three is hot garbage.
[SPEAKER_02]: But two is pretty good.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know the hand three to be honest.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, three is terrible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Woo, woo.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I just don't know why they don't have a full ozone because we have other planets that we turn formed.
[SPEAKER_02]: That I assume do.
[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, back to what this is, they had a radiation shield on Mars.
[SPEAKER_02]: The radiation shield had, effectively multiple generators all around the planet.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if all those generators aren't working at the same time, the radiation field falls apart.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, sometimes you've got a bunch of, you've got a planet-wide civil war.
[SPEAKER_02]: And everyone in the civil war is supposed to maintain their own generator, so it doesn't collapse.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, also, certain people were bombing them because if I'm going to lose screw you, kind of thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: So needless to say, the radiation shield falls.
[SPEAKER_02]: and a terraforming begins to collapse pretty quickly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not, and by the way, now there's a terraforming club.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mars is now being irradiated by the sun directly, which if you don't know that is, it's bad.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have an ozone and you're supposed to have a sunblock.
[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have an ozone.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're still supposed to wear sunblock.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's seven dollars.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they don't, is it?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is it Robocop one?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think Robocop one, they were just put on like, you know, sunblock five thousand.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's about five thousand.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the people of Mars now are doomed.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to die.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be irradiated or they're going to starve to death or just war.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this actually kicks up the civil war to even a higher degree instead of instead of banded together to find out
[SPEAKER_00]: a solution or a problem.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, well, let's kill these other guys.
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, they actually take what kind of they have left to make better weapons of like nuclear weapons, virus bonds, biologic weapons, very radiation weapons.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because because it wasn't that radiation coming out of the sky, how do I shoot it out of the gun?
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is just ripping billions or die, but they get saved by a new group.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this group is
[SPEAKER_02]: technology of zest, Martians, because there are Martians named the Mechanicum, which are a religion, really, based on the belief of an Amnesia, who is their turn for the machine God.
[SPEAKER_02]: they believe that through technology, they could be saved and they could rise up to conquer the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all cute.
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what they actually did though, which I was going to say.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would believe in this in this religion because of what's more about to say because they built radiation shelters.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they did.
[SPEAKER_00]: So that I didn't die.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they did.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, you can only come in here if you're a believer.
[SPEAKER_00]: I go,
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care what you believe in.
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe in it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's go.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so the mechanical build radiation shelters, they start going, they start going underground to build manufacturing.
[SPEAKER_02]: They develop special suits to survive both the dust of Mars, the radiation of Mars, and they begin, of course, making weapons.
[SPEAKER_02]: and lots of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Lots and lots of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And over, it takes a couple of decades, the mechanical control of Mars.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's fairly quickly to be honest with you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Compared to the rest of the galaxy and terror.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what it's like.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is mean from what I've read.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_02]: I think say from what I've read, because I've got multiple codexes, you do get some flex in this, but it looks to be a couple thousand years before the Emperor, United's Terra, the Mechanicum Unite Mars.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and again, because the Mechanicum and their infinite and everything else, while the the Mechanicum should be a bazillion years ahead, and what their technology is, but they are also, in effectively, an inquisitioned dark age,
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they go a little bit weird on this.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to have to discuss a certain lab or anything, but beneath the surface, they certain thing inside of it later.
[SPEAKER_02]: But for now, what the mechanic I'm doing is they, it just don't retariform ours.
[SPEAKER_02]: They just go with whatever.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they turn the whole planet into a giant factory at slash high world.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have my own views on this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they did this on purpose because they wanted people to transfer their bodies to machines because somebody that's down in the center already had somebody else do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's pushing that agenda again.
[SPEAKER_02]: So at this stage, Mars turns into, goes back to being in the greatest forge world in the entire galaxy there.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's laughably at the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Interconnected.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's a time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, still is.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's ridiculous now.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
[SPEAKER_00]: At the time, it was Disney World versus you and I in the basement doing a puppet show.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, to this day, they're still incredible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, what this also does though is this belief of the mechanic on the on this side becomes absolute.
[SPEAKER_02]: because they were dead and this belief and following the teachings of, you know, the love of the love of the on the sire is why they're not dead.
[SPEAKER_02]: So this becomes everything to them going forward.
[SPEAKER_02]: The next phase of the story is what they did with it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, yeah, I don't know what happened this time.
[SPEAKER_02]: Probably a terrible thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, during the wars, the stuff like that, it was a big thing they talked about that is they actually tried to kill the other person so they'd like to go get stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and so that was where, and so the admaker, they're almost, they've got this, sorry, the admaker.
[SPEAKER_02]: The mechanical had this incredible desire to expand out into the stars and do more, they just cannot, because then what they needed was a large military force and infrastructure to do so.
[SPEAKER_02]: Luckily, one orbit of the earth closer, there is that this existed.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the emperor,
[SPEAKER_02]: knows the same thing because he does no all, and he arrives on Mars to broker a treaty with the Mechanicum to provide his arm to himself with what he needs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Effectively, the AdMec have all the ships, all the weapons, and all of the technology, but the Emperor has the bodies and the will.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, when we say together, we're talking about the emperor.
[SPEAKER_02]: The emperor is not a big fan of us doing something together.
[SPEAKER_02]: He does both be present.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's, I mean, there is a we, but it's, I'm just letting you know that when we put out our press release, I will be in front of the mic.

[SPEAKER_02]: And the tech priests of Mars know of an Amnesia when they see one because they follow the few.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's pretty easy.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a fully.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a whole he's got a super juiced up set of power.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he's just like, yeah, and he walked through a bunch of beers and hit control F for over and over again, a bunch of beers like, I like it works now.

[SPEAKER_02]: They were like, it's a miracle.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, it just fixed broken toys.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that piece, by the time he reaches the inner sanctum, it's over.

[SPEAKER_02]: And with the entirety of Mars staring at him, he's able to negotiate a pretty solid treaty, which is called a treaty of Olympus from No reason, basically Greek for whatever reason.

[SPEAKER_00]: But also, they do a long thing and you sum it up pretty well.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's a, well, in the treaty, there's like a long verse of what?

[SPEAKER_00]: But in the end, the Emperor just says, I'll leave you alone to be in weird.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's, it's the Emperor gives a mechanic.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I think the seven navigators, I'm like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: He promises to protect them from enemies.
[SPEAKER_02]: And yet, and says you guys can keep being extra weird over here.

[SPEAKER_02]: But in a weird side note, over thousands of years, they don't find any.

[SPEAKER_02]: Horace would have been a pretty terrible warmaster if he hadn't seen the immense value of the Mechanicum.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Horace knew that with manufacturing of Mars on the side of the loyalists, the traders never had a chance.
[SPEAKER_02]: So he needed to convert Mars to supply him or at least deny the imperial.
[SPEAKER_02]: That being said, Horace also knew all the secrets.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: He knew about that there'd been, because Jorge had personally recovered STC's, shown to the emperor the emperor went, put that in your pocket for the admixture before the mechanic comes see it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, so he knew that there was a secret here.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he also knew that the emperor did not want the the mechanic him having these STCs.
[SPEAKER_02]: But mostly, by the way, the emperor is right here because the mechanic comes default on finding technology is depressed the on button.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, because they're not just trying to figure it out, they're just trying to worship.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're trying to make it go.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if the thing that they're pressing to go button on is the most powerful explosive in the history of the dollar making it where it's run pressing go button.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the emperor was kind of like maybe we don't let them have technology every time because they're kind of idiots with it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Cowboy for whatever reason, even when in front of the Emperor, didn't, this wasn't an impressed.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it, Cowboy felt like, no, I, I have a love of the Amna Syah, and this is not the Amna Syah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Horace knows that Kelbar is a little disenfranchised in the emperor, but doesn't know how much, but it's just that where that there's that there is a gap here, and he goes for it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's already got some agents of the mechanical in his book.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and they've already told him about Kelbar, but he doesn't know so he takes a swing.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he does this swing through an agent of the mechanic and with him named Regulus.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not Regulus, Regulus, like regular us.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have a pun.
[SPEAKER_02]: No idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it's a pun because if it's a pun, it's awesome.
[SPEAKER_02]: If it's just lazy writing, then it's white.
[SPEAKER_02]: Regulus meets with Calabore and tells him the Emperor has been betraying both humanity, which Calabore couldn't care less about, but more important than mechanical.
[SPEAKER_02]: and to prove it, he hands over him.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he doesn't.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I see that, that the Emperor had told Kelobor, we have it found that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Horace tells him there's hordes of these.
[SPEAKER_02]: We've got tons of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this does two things.
[SPEAKER_02]: One, it proves the Emperor's deception to Kelobor, who always believed the Emperor was deceptive, but more importantly, gives Kelobor something he wants more than anything, which is STC drives.
[SPEAKER_00]: He also, about what he said he would do with him though.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is, this is a terrible idea, by the way.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Horace says, go ahead and research anything, pull up anything for the Dark Age of Technology, which includes not having a band on AI and everything else.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, they refer to AI, not as artificial intelligence, but it's abominable intelligence, which is just the core name.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which I mean, it would make sense if you think it collapsed your entire society.
[SPEAKER_02]: Horace, though, also lays a trap here.
[SPEAKER_02]: In the trap, he lays, has to make something called the vaults of Morothek.
[SPEAKER_02]: He gives Calbor the code to it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Fourteen million killed in a virus bomb.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like nineteen titans were dropped and titans again titans step on imperial night.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're considered they're basically they have infrastructures.

[SPEAKER_02]: If they took out nineteen Titans in an hour, what are you going to invade with?

[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that you made your world so heavily fortified, you don't want people taking over your fortress or your your your foundry.

[SPEAKER_02]: So effectively, they have to put a block eight out, but it's not like, and this block eight, by the way, has some pretty good wide birth because there are

[SPEAKER_02]: You do, it's more, they transmit, you know, schematics off planet, but the one time at the manufacturing of Mars is very limited to the aid of Horace for a while.

[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I just think Horace's plan the whole time.

[SPEAKER_02]: But this does change when the traders enter the sole system, because as you know, as we said before, if they fight their way all the way to Earth, which someone called out in our discord a while ago, I'm like, why do they have to go planet to planet?

[SPEAKER_02]: No, they melted these guys down just in case of a scrap code.
[SPEAKER_02]: But what's funny about this is that the AdMec gain power through this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not only did they get reading in the admec, they actually get a new treaty with the Imperian, making the head of the admec a high lord of terror.
[SPEAKER_02]: They gain further autonomy.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're able to colonize worlds on their own, and those worlds are fully managed and sustained outside of the authority of the Imperium.
