<v Speaker 1>back in just a couple of years ago. So really

<v Speaker 1>I get to that, we're gonna take just a minute

<v Speaker 1>Day twenty nineteen, that would be December twenty fifth. Help,

<v Speaker 1>and we could all take a simultaneous deep breath in
<v Speaker 1>and next ail the holiday season is over. I know
<v Speaker 1>you may consider New Year's part of the holidays. I
<v Speaker 1>do too, but in the same vein, let's be honest.
<v Speaker 1>New Year's is about one thing, all right. It's about
<v Speaker 1>one thing and one thing only, especially if you are
<v Speaker 1>of the younger generation. It's about partying, right, drinking, having
<v Speaker 1>a good time, hanging out, watch the ball drop. If
<v Speaker 1>it's not about drinking, then it's just about, hey, chilling
<v Speaker 1>at home with your family or by yourself, watching the
<v Speaker 1>ball drop and going to sleep. So I don't really
<v Speaker 1>consider New Year's as a true stress holiday, considering the
<v Speaker 1>fact that there's really nothing to do other than enjoy yourself,
<v Speaker 1>and so it's quite the it's quite the transition. Now
<v Speaker 1>that we are done with the holidays, we can decompress,
<v Speaker 1>we can get rid of our crap all over our
<v Speaker 1>homes with Christmas stuff taking up half of our space,
<v Speaker 1>Christmas trees go down, trash from all the wrappings out
<v Speaker 1>of your house, everything, So I'm looking forward to it.
<v Speaker 1>I know that many of you are as well. As
<v Speaker 1>the twenty nineteen holiday season is coming to a close
<v Speaker 1>and we can all just say in Unison, thank God.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Well, now that that's done, it over with
<v Speaker 1>and I can move on with my life and try
<v Speaker 1>to actually save some money after the damage that was
<v Speaker 1>done by the holidays. Again, I hope everyone did enjoy
<v Speaker 1>the holidays. I know that I did. It was a
<v Speaker 1>very relaxing day, just kind of hung out and enjoyed
<v Speaker 1>the family and enjoyed the little guy opening his gifts
<v Speaker 1>all that stuff, which is good because I needed it
<v Speaker 1>after traveling for three days. I wanted to just escape
<v Speaker 1>and be able to do my own thing and relax
<v Speaker 1>without having to be somewhere and be stressed about having
<v Speaker 1>to be somewhere. So now that that's done and it's
<v Speaker 1>over with, let's get into wrestling here. And I've got
<v Speaker 1>a great topic for you guys. It is John Cena
<v Speaker 1>versus Roman Reigns twenty seventeen, this led into their No
<v Speaker 1>Mercy match. The promo is really what I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>focus on here because the match, although I have comments
<v Speaker 1>on that, it wasn't so much about the match, which
<v Speaker 1>I believe. I think the real story was told via
<v Speaker 1>the promo battle that Roman Reigns and John Cena had,
<v Speaker 1>and going back and watching it, I got to say,
<v Speaker 1>it's so uncomfortable watching Roman Reigns. It's beautiful, but it's uncomfortable.
<v Speaker 1>So I've got a lot of audio I want to
<v Speaker 1>share with you guys on that front, and I want
<v Speaker 1>you I want you to just understand it is gonna
<v Speaker 1>be a little bit longer in terms of the audio.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not trying to just bombard you guys with audio
<v Speaker 1>and not hear my comments, but it's really necessary, I think,
<v Speaker 1>for you guys to hear a good portion of that
<v Speaker 1>promo so that we can dissect it together because I
<v Speaker 1>think it's really important to do and so obviously we'll
<v Speaker 1>get to that. I just wanted to give you guys
<v Speaker 1>a bit of the schedule for the next week or
<v Speaker 1>so because obviously, with NXT and AEW not doing their
<v Speaker 1>shows this week, I wanted to make sure that you
<v Speaker 1>guys have the schedule for the remainder of really the
<v Speaker 1>next week, So there will be no AW or NXT
<v Speaker 1>show this week. I know, I'm actually kind of sad
<v Speaker 1>about that too, But there'll be a Saturday and or
<v Speaker 1>probably a Sunday show. The reason I say that is
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday, I do have plans in the evening they're
<v Speaker 1>going to really take almost all night. I mean, so
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna be a long night for me and a
<v Speaker 1>day of recovery on Sunday, if you catch my drift.
<v Speaker 1>So on Sunday, I will be doing a show with
<v Speaker 1>a co host discussing what's happening in wrestling that this week,
<v Speaker 1>obviously covering SmackDown Raw and anything else leading into the
<v Speaker 1>final Raw of twenty nineteen, leading into obviously Bobby Lashley
<v Speaker 1>and Lana's wedding and can't wait for that, And obviously
<v Speaker 1>I'm being very facetious, But that is the schedule for
<v Speaker 1>the reminder of this week, and then next week starts
<v Speaker 1>a brand new year, which means everything's back on track.
<v Speaker 1>After Sunday's show, you'll be back with AW review week
<v Speaker 1>in Review Nostalgia. Everything comes back full force next week,
<v Speaker 1>but the only real change is just with NXTN and
<v Speaker 1>AEW taking their respective days off. Obviously, with Christmas falling
<v Speaker 1>on a Wednesday, their day of their taping of the show,
<v Speaker 1>only made sense to not have the show, considering that
<v Speaker 1>there's nothing to really discuss, right, So that's going to
<v Speaker 1>be the schedule rolling forward, and I am really working
<v Speaker 1>on video. I am trying to find a little area
<v Speaker 1>in my apartment to have a video setup where it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't look like I'm sitting in my garage, right, I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to look like I'm sitting in a basement.
<v Speaker 1>These are the areas in which I have used in
<v Speaker 1>the past. And as you may or may not relate to,
<v Speaker 1>having a child takes up all of your extra space,
<v Speaker 1>your toys, the the garbage. Really, I mean just so
<v Speaker 1>much stuff comes with having a kid. The stuff that
<v Speaker 1>they don't use anymore, in books and everything else, and
<v Speaker 1>chairs and stuff they'll never use. It's just cluttered. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to convince my wife to say, hey, I
<v Speaker 1>just need a two x two space with a small desk,
<v Speaker 1>my laptop, my audio equipment, and something nice in the
<v Speaker 1>background that will be visual friendly for video. So that's
<v Speaker 1>my thought moving into the new year. Is to really
<v Speaker 1>work on the video piece of this, because I want
<v Speaker 1>to be able to have these shows live and done
<v Speaker 1>also via video and make it exclusive to patrons on
<v Speaker 1>my Patreon feed that also get an ad free access

<v Speaker 1>been a makeshift studio. I've been like a mobile studio
<v Speaker 1>where I just kind of go wherever there's not clutter
<v Speaker 1>and crap and try to squeeze me in. I actually
<v Speaker 1>was doing it in our garage that we have in
<v Speaker 1>our apartment, and I mean it's a nice garage, but
<v Speaker 1>the problem is we stacked all of our crap in there,
<v Speaker 1>so I don't have any place to really go, and
<v Speaker 1>it's cold. It's not a heated garage, and to be
<v Speaker 1>honest with you, it would look like, you know, total crap.
<v Speaker 1>So as far as video goes, I want it to
<v Speaker 1>look nice and I want to continue making this show
<v Speaker 1>grow and video I think is where it's at, and
<v Speaker 1>let me know what you guys think. I really am

<v Speaker 1>host I think they do a great job. This is
<v Speaker 1>just on me, as the creator of the show, the
<v Speaker 1>host of the show, the you know, the founder, to
<v Speaker 1>change things up when I feel like they're getting stale.
<v Speaker 1>And so I think it's time to add. I think
<v Speaker 1>it's time to make sure that we continue to evolve
<v Speaker 1>and make this show good and make this show what
<v Speaker 1>I think it should be. So just something coming down
<v Speaker 1>the line that you could see a bunch of change
<v Speaker 1>in a good way. And that's forthcoming. So all right,
<v Speaker 1>let's get into John Cena versus Roman Reigns. And this
<v Speaker 1>is a program that I initially thought, and to some
<v Speaker 1>degree was right, that if they ever put these two together,
<v Speaker 1>their fans would crap all over it. And the reason
<v Speaker 1>is because, well, both fans feel similarly similarly, that I
<v Speaker 1>say that right similarly about Roman as they do John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>and that yeah, there are cheers in there are booze
<v Speaker 1>and Johnsena's dealt with that his entire career. And many
<v Speaker 1>people have said that, oh, Roman Reigns is getting the
<v Speaker 1>reaction John Cena is. But the deal with John Cena
<v Speaker 1>is he was the biggest face. He was the face
<v Speaker 1>of the post Attitude era WWE presentation. He was and
<v Speaker 1>to have Roman Reigns come along and try to then
<v Speaker 1>take the place of John Cena just hasn't worked. It
<v Speaker 1>just hasn't.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And John Cena when you look at his reaction compared
<v Speaker 1>to Roman Reigns, and again this is at the time
<v Speaker 1>of twenty seventeen, and since that time, Roman Reigns certainly
<v Speaker 1>has gotten a much more relaxed and positive reaction in
<v Speaker 1>most cases, and it's taken a long time to get here.
<v Speaker 1>The true test, as I've said, will come when he
<v Speaker 1>goes back into the title picture. And we all know
<v Speaker 1>that it's a FATA compley that Roman Reigns is going
<v Speaker 1>to recapture the United States or the Universal Championship or
<v Speaker 1>the ww Championship, whatever it may be. We all know
<v Speaker 1>that that's going to happen. The real test is what
<v Speaker 1>happens when it's against the fiend or another beloved heel.
<v Speaker 1>What happens then? Does the crowd remember everything and remember
<v Speaker 1>why they hated Roman to begin with and the resentment
<v Speaker 1>of Roman Reigns, and really Roman Reigns just being the
<v Speaker 1>conduit for the fans frustration against the front office, against
<v Speaker 1>Vince McMahon. Does that all come rushing back or do
<v Speaker 1>the fans truly accept Roman Rerains this time? I think
<v Speaker 1>it's the former, not the latter. But again, this is
<v Speaker 1>twenty seventeen and where Roman Reigns was still getting heavily booed.
<v Speaker 1>He's fresh off beating the Undertaker at WrestleMania. This promo
<v Speaker 1>took place in August, but obviously with WrestleMania in April.
<v Speaker 1>I was there for this at WrestleMania thirty three, when
<v Speaker 1>Roman Rains beat the Undertaker, and having Roman Reiins do
<v Speaker 1>that again, it didn't break the streak. The streak was
<v Speaker 1>already broken. But you only have two guys ever to
<v Speaker 1>beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania and Brock Lesner and Roman Rains.
<v Speaker 1>I never was a fan of it. I still am
<v Speaker 1>not a fan of it of either man beating of
<v Speaker 1>the Undertaker, and that's a whole nother discussion, but at
<v Speaker 1>this time in twenty seventeen, Roman was, for all intents
<v Speaker 1>and purposes, for the majority of most audiences, a heel,
<v Speaker 1>and I personally I loved it. I think Roman Raine
<v Speaker 1>should still be getting this reaction, but that's me personally
<v Speaker 1>and having this promo going into it. First of all,
<v Speaker 1>when I realized they were doing this program, I said,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, the fans are just going to turn
<v Speaker 1>on this. It's going to be a you both suck
<v Speaker 1>chant or this match sucks chant, or the crowd just
<v Speaker 1>leaving in droves again for this match. Luckily, it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>the main event of even a B pay per view.
<v Speaker 1>This was a Sea pay per view of No Mercy,
<v Speaker 1>and amazing they did it on that stage, but probably
<v Speaker 1>cautiously they put it on a B pay per view
<v Speaker 1>or really Sea pay per view and didn't do it
<v Speaker 1>on a big stage with the risk being higher that
<v Speaker 1>the fans could just reject the match outright. Because WWE
<v Speaker 1>is trying to force us to pick a star to
<v Speaker 1>get behind. But I think the fans would have seen
<v Speaker 1>through that had it been on a bigger stage Rumble
<v Speaker 1>Survivor series, especially WrestleMania. Even though you could say that
<v Speaker 1>it's a WrestleMania worthy match, it's smart of them to
<v Speaker 1>have done it at when they did so, I'm you know,
<v Speaker 1>I'm glad they did it. I had a feeling that
<v Speaker 1>when WWE made it very clear this was the road
<v Speaker 1>that they are going, that I was fearful that fans
<v Speaker 1>would outright reject it, and again, to some degree they did.
<v Speaker 1>We'll listen to that match in just a minute too.
<v Speaker 1>But I was more interested in the promo. I was
<v Speaker 1>more interested in how, first of all, how awful John
<v Speaker 1>Cena shreds up Roman Reigns, and how does Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>deal with the pressure of a guy that is arguably
<v Speaker 1>one of the best promo guys ever in John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>Does he rise to the occasion? Does he fall back?
<v Speaker 1>Does he sink? Does he swim? Does what happens?
<v Speaker 3>Right?
<v Speaker 1>What happens? Because yes, these promos are scripted to some degree,
<v Speaker 1>but I think in this case, when you have John
<v Speaker 1>Cena and Roman reigns. You have bullet points for them
<v Speaker 1>in this case, but there are moments where you can't.
<v Speaker 1>You can't script four and you have to use your
<v Speaker 1>own head, you have to use your own wit. You
<v Speaker 1>have to come back with what's in your guts, in
<v Speaker 1>your heart, and that's when we see who you truly
<v Speaker 1>are and those moments. As much as you want to
<v Speaker 1>script it and have everyone memorize their lines, this was
<v Speaker 1>not one of those cases where things are scripted. I
<v Speaker 1>think this was one of the most few tests Rowan
<v Speaker 1>Rains has had against a top top top Mike guy
<v Speaker 1>promo guy in John Cena, who has always been a plus. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he's had some sinkers. I'm not a fan of the
<v Speaker 1>funny John Cena who tries to be comedic. I'm a
<v Speaker 1>fan of the serious Sena and that's a serious Scena.
<v Speaker 1>The version of the John Cena character we got. And
<v Speaker 1>so without me continuing to just flat my gums, let's
<v Speaker 1>get to some of that promo. And again, I know
<v Speaker 1>that there's gonna be a decent amount of audio coming,
<v Speaker 1>but I think it's important to listen to and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure you'll get into it too. If you're a wrestling fan,
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna get into it. So here it is. This
<v Speaker 1>is straight from WWE's YouTube channel. It's called if you
<v Speaker 1>want to watch it, the Uncut War of Words between
<v Speaker 1>John Cena and Roland rains On on a net raw
<v Speaker 1>August twenty eighth, twenty seventeen. So I'm gonna let you
<v Speaker 1>guys listen. I'll pause as I feel the need, and
<v Speaker 1>we'll discuss.
<v Speaker 4>Everybody out here still kind of trying to figure it out.
<v Speaker 4>If you see Rodan not what you would call a
<v Speaker 4>polarizing figure. Every week there are people that cheer because
<v Speaker 4>they stand for what I believe in, and then there
<v Speaker 4>are people that boom because they don't. And then every
<v Speaker 4>single week you can audibly hear those people so desperately
<v Speaker 4>wanting me to change the content of my character, maybe a.
<v Speaker 5>Little heel turn.
<v Speaker 4>But with you, it's it's different. I don't know if
<v Speaker 4>if anyone's ever told you this. They go back and
<v Speaker 4>forth with you because when they look at you, they
<v Speaker 4>see what I see, a cheap ass, corporately created John
<v Speaker 4>Cena bootleg.
<v Speaker 1>I just want to pause it here for just a moment.
<v Speaker 1>Interesting when John Cena is saying this, that's exactly what
<v Speaker 1>John Cena is. That's exactly why the fans boot John
<v Speaker 1>Cena is because he is the corporately created, machine generated guy, right,
<v Speaker 1>that is what he is. Obviously, Roman reigns to a
<v Speaker 1>higher degree because he doesn't have the promo ability of
<v Speaker 1>John Cena. Right. Yeah, he may be a quote better wrestler,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't think Roman Reigns ever will reach John
<v Speaker 1>Cena's level of wit and intelligence when it comes to promobility,
<v Speaker 1>It's just not going to happen. So John Scena had
<v Speaker 1>the crazy good Mike skills to fall back on, whereas
<v Speaker 1>Roman doesn't. And he also doesn't have the presence that
<v Speaker 1>John Cena had the energy John Cena had. So it's
<v Speaker 1>just interesting though when John Sena said that it's like
<v Speaker 1>a knockoff of a knockoff, right, it's like a corporate
<v Speaker 1>creation off of a corporate creation. A little bit hypocritical
<v Speaker 1>from John Cena. But let's continue.

<v Speaker 5>It's shut right here.
<v Speaker 4>He ain't the guy, dude, You're just a guy, a
<v Speaker 4>guy trying so desperately to phil shoes that you never
<v Speaker 4>will listen carefully, young man. I'm not the undertaker. I'm
<v Speaker 4>not a battered veteran at the end of his career
<v Speaker 4>with a bad hit. I am the fastest, strongest, and
<v Speaker 4>hungriest that I have ever been in my entire life.
<v Speaker 4>And the reason you won't sign that is because you
<v Speaker 4>know if you do, you're Roman Empire.
<v Speaker 1>So this is when we get Roman Rains's rebuttal, and well,
<v Speaker 1>I will just say that it's it's not great. So
<v Speaker 1>as we continue here, I just want you to just
<v Speaker 1>sit back and get a little uncomfortable with the pauses
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns has and the lack of response. So here
<v Speaker 1>we go.
<v Speaker 5>He did it again. He's the king of this.
<v Speaker 3>He can take anything.
<v Speaker 5>And spin it. That's what he does. But it blows
<v Speaker 5>my mind that he stands out here and he runs
<v Speaker 5>his mouth and he's talking about y'all boo him because
<v Speaker 5>y'all want him to be a bad guy. They bow
<v Speaker 5>you because first of all, you suck.
<v Speaker 4>Hey, according to the episode, is he But that's okay,
<v Speaker 4>you want to go met just shut up for a while,
<v Speaker 4>how about Batman? And second of all, go ahead, find it?

<v Speaker 4>Oh wait, it's called the promo. You want to be
<v Speaker 4>the big dog, You're gonna have to learn how to
<v Speaker 4>do it, So go ahead, ouch seeking fourth wall.
<v Speaker 5>The reason why they bow you is because they see
<v Speaker 5>right through you. You're a phony. You're a yes man who
<v Speaker 5>can learn how to do anything or be anything. So
<v Speaker 5>if you wrap all that up, you're just a fake bitch.

<v Speaker 1>Well, before we get John Cena's response to that, I
<v Speaker 1>mean that was you talk about uncomfortable, right, You talk
<v Speaker 1>about uncomfortable when it comes to moments in Roman Rains'
<v Speaker 1>career and talk about exposing his weaknesses. That pause between
<v Speaker 1>and second of all, and he just stood there. There
<v Speaker 1>was nothing got He got a little bit flabbergasted. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think he has the I never thought he did,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't think he does have it in him
<v Speaker 1>to ever cut an A plus promo Roman Reigns. Tell me, somebody,
<v Speaker 1>I challenge my entire audience to tell me when Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns ever had an A plus promo that you had
<v Speaker 1>a jaw dropping moment for. Tell me It's never happened ever, ever,
<v Speaker 1>And that is one of the biggest things missing from
<v Speaker 1>him is emotion and be able to convey that emotion
<v Speaker 1>through a promo. So it got exposed embarrassingly there John
<v Speaker 1>Cena is carving him up, and oh, don't worry. It
<v Speaker 1>just gets worse from here.

<v Speaker 5>You're hearing me now, Ain't not only that? He's a
<v Speaker 5>part time in fake cass bitch. And I'll be damned

<v Speaker 1>the top. No Intercontinental Championship run before it, no United
<v Speaker 1>States Championship run after the shield, just straight to the
<v Speaker 1>damn top, and he got over, he got exposed in
<v Speaker 1>his weaknesses. There's a litany of things. You guys know
<v Speaker 1>how I feel about Roman, and whereas John Cena took
<v Speaker 1>a different path. So when you draw the parallel and
<v Speaker 1>the comparisons between Sena and Roman Reigns, really the comparison
<v Speaker 1>ends with the crowd reaction. It starts and ends there
<v Speaker 1>because there's not much else that in common with these two. Really,
<v Speaker 1>there's not, there's not. And John Cena just absolutely torches
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns. It's not even a contest. It's as if
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns is a minor leaguer in the big leagues
<v Speaker 1>going up against the best of the best, right it is.

<v Speaker 1>And it just further accentuated how limited Roman rains is
<v Speaker 1>on the mic. And I'm not saying it's easy. I
<v Speaker 1>could never do what John Cena does. It's not easy.

<v Speaker 1>just a guy, you should you should be able to
<v Speaker 1>learn how to cut a promo. But I think it's
<v Speaker 1>really not all to blame on Roman here. I think
<v Speaker 1>a lot of it to blame is on Vince McMahon
<v Speaker 1>and management and creative coddling him, babying him, and also
<v Speaker 1>the culture of the scripted promo, the way that they
<v Speaker 1>produce their their shows, limit the way, or really limit
<v Speaker 1>the weaknesses of Roman reigns because everything is scripted for
<v Speaker 1>him only has to do is memorize a couple of lines.
<v Speaker 1>His promos were whenever that long to begin with, so
<v Speaker 1>they ever, rarely ever let him just go you you
<v Speaker 1>know here, here's a couple of things we want you
<v Speaker 1>to hit. Roman, You go out, you fill in the blanks,
<v Speaker 1>you cut the rest of this promo and f and
<v Speaker 1>you know ninety percent of it. No, the backstage culture,
<v Speaker 1>in the backstage environment and how everything's produced is produced
<v Speaker 1>in a way that actually stunts the growth of performers
<v Speaker 1>because you're not having them use their own damn brains.
<v Speaker 1>John Cena was number one. He's witty to begin with.

<v Speaker 1>He also got a ten year start on Roman Reigns

<v Speaker 1>backed John Cena one hundred and fifty percent for everything

<v Speaker 1>just a complete torching of Roman reins and I loved it.
<v Speaker 1>I loved it. Yeah, he mentioned the heel turn on
<v Speaker 1>a heel turn, and Roman rains saying, he buries you
<v Speaker 1>on talent. Now he doesn't, No, he doesn't. Okay, John
<v Speaker 1>Cena is in the give back part of his career.
<v Speaker 1>Why does he carries He's he's not in the stage
<v Speaker 1>of his career where he can come back and be
<v Speaker 1>the guy anymore. And he's not still even further away
<v Speaker 1>from that in twenty nineteen. My god, but I really
<v Speaker 1>believe that if Roman reigns ever went against John Cena
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty, which I don't think he will, but
<v Speaker 1>if it ever happened again, I don't think Roman would
<v Speaker 1>be that much more improved. John Cena again proves that
<v Speaker 1>he can come back and be the doctor of thugonomics,
<v Speaker 1>as he did at WrestleMania the last time we saw
<v Speaker 1>him come back and torch his opponent to promo come out,
<v Speaker 1>can be the doctor of thugonomics. And he just is
<v Speaker 1>a gifted, amazing talent on the mic. And my own
<v Speaker 1>may was Roman Exposed and it was just it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>even close. And having these two of their own respective
<v Speaker 1>generations being the guy, you'd see just how far the
<v Speaker 1>standard of the guy has fallen. And again, Roman in
<v Speaker 1>the ring I think is better than John Cena in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. But you see there why I think being
<v Speaker 1>skilled on the mic is actually more important than being
<v Speaker 1>skilled in the ring. You see it there. You talk
<v Speaker 1>about the five moves of Doom with John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>how you can't wrestle all that stuff with John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>You can't even argue it is a foolish argument to
<v Speaker 1>make that Rome Raines is a bigger star than John Cena.

<v Speaker 1>wwe continue to just cement Roman Reigns as this forced

<v Speaker 1>that phrase. That nickname is just makes me want to
<v Speaker 1>punch something hard every time I hear it. It's because
<v Speaker 1>it's just so forced. Like everything Roman Reigns has ever
<v Speaker 1>done is forced in terms of promo, character, nickname, Everything
<v Speaker 1>about Roman Reigns is forced. And again in twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 1>it just I think, also poured gasoline on the fire
<v Speaker 1>and in anti support of Roman Reigns, because it continued
<v Speaker 1>to say, Nope, this is our guy. He beat John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>so he continues to be our guy. He beats Undertaker,
<v Speaker 1>he beats John Cena. Force shove it, keep kicking it
<v Speaker 1>down our throats. And again it's just the narrative continued,
<v Speaker 1>and I think it didn't do any favors for Roman
<v Speaker 1>Reigns' career after that. I mean, so anyway, those are

<v Speaker 1>I've forgotten about. And I stumbled across this clip and
<v Speaker 1>I said, WHOA. And I started watching it today during
<v Speaker 1>just some little bit of downtime, and I said, this
<v Speaker 1>is what I'm talking about today. This is what I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to be discussing. I have to. It's a huge
<v Speaker 1>moment and something that I think has overlooked a lot
<v Speaker 1>of times and again is never discussed. It's never discussed.
<v Speaker 1>WW has not owned this at all. And also it
<v Speaker 1>got me thinking too about John Cena's career and if
<v Speaker 1>we'll ever see John Sena in the ring again. I
<v Speaker 1>mean the answer is yes, although beyond him being on
<v Speaker 1>Ellen saying I fake fight people for a living, you know,
<v Speaker 1>which was just straight embarrassing, which he did a couple
<v Speaker 1>of months ago, I do I will say this. I
<v Speaker 1>do miss John Cena's promos. He would be able to
<v Speaker 1>give you one of the best go home promos you've
<v Speaker 1>ever heard. He could talk you into seats. He was
<v Speaker 1>that good. Even though he wasn't a plus in the
<v Speaker 1>ring like some people would define it today, he was
<v Speaker 1>the guy that was the guy and truly the guy
<v Speaker 1>and not just a self appointed guy. He was that
<v Speaker 1>guy that the fans made into the face of the company.
<v Speaker 1>And I gotta say, I mean, I would be more
<v Speaker 1>of a support of John Cena today because you know,
<v Speaker 1>he's not going to be forced down your throat, because
<v Speaker 1>he's well past his prime and you're at the point
<v Speaker 1>now of John Cena in his career. He's at the
<v Speaker 1>give backstage. He doesn't have to be there. He can
<v Speaker 1>pick and choose his dates. He can do whatever the
<v Speaker 1>hell he wants. He can be on the Rocks schedule.
<v Speaker 1>Ironic that he is on the Rock schedule, given that
<v Speaker 1>he used that in his as his foundation for attacking
<v Speaker 1>the Rock during the WrestleMania twenty seven and twenty eight encounters.
<v Speaker 1>Very very ironic that that he has now taken the
<v Speaker 1>Rock schedule and made it his own now So, but anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I would love to see John Cena back, who would
<v Speaker 1>he face? I don't even know. I don't even know.
<v Speaker 1>That hasn't really been discussed. Amazing how we've all kind
<v Speaker 1>of forgotten about John Cena and me. There's no rumors
<v Speaker 1>flying around, there's nobody talking to Oh what if John
<v Speaker 1>Cena fe Son's It's just it's it's crazy how as
<v Speaker 1>much of a big star as John Cena was, he's
<v Speaker 1>almost faded out, kind of into the sunset, and people
<v Speaker 1>aren't going, ooh, Seena Sena. It's just not happening. It's
<v Speaker 1>just not happening. And it's not a slight on John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>It's a I think it's just it's a sign of
<v Speaker 1>the times of people always going what's next, what's new,
<v Speaker 1>what's next, what's new? New, guy new, gimme new, gimme new,
<v Speaker 1>Who's next, instead of, you know, taking a step back
<v Speaker 1>and saying, hey, wouldn't it be cool if Seena came
<v Speaker 1>back and did this right? Anyway? All right, well, guys,
<v Speaker 1>thank you for listening on this Christmas day or probably
<v Speaker 1>after that as I record into the night here of Christmas. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I hope everyone enjoyed their day and it takes a
<v Speaker 1>breath as I said at the beginning of the show,

<v Speaker 1>gets fired, somebody dies, right God forbid, major breaking news,
<v Speaker 1>somebody gets signed, something like that, I would of course
<v Speaker 1>come on. And as I said, maybe I want to
<v Speaker 1>put in video. I want to start incorporating videos so
<v Speaker 1>that you guys can get more bang for your buck
<v Speaker 1>on Patreon, and also I can start to reach more
<v Speaker 1>of an audience I my website and through my podcast feed,
