<v Speaker 1>Yes, oh, glad to hear. Uh, glad to hear that
<v Speaker 1>you're really doing well and everything. So uh, all right,
<v Speaker 1>I'll be honest with you, guys. I'm extremely nervous for
<v Speaker 1>this one. But let's go back to the beginning of
<v Speaker 1>your career, ma'am. So, starting at the beginning, what made
<v Speaker 1>you decide to become a wrestler?
<v Speaker 2>Booking sted in this right there? I know, Nazi, Nazi

<v Speaker 4>When I was in the first year in junior high school,
<v Speaker 4>my mother sent a letter to Japan the wrestling and audition.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's really interesting. So your mother sent a letter
<v Speaker 1>over to a audition. Okay, that's incredible. So starting out
<v Speaker 1>in a j w So, who are some of your
<v Speaker 1>trainers and influences there at a j WA.
<v Speaker 2>SA has no company?
<v Speaker 3>No oh.
<v Speaker 2>Oh wow. The trainer the first first trainer was mister Matsunaga.
<v Speaker 2>And his brother.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, so, uh those are your trainers. So
<v Speaker 1>what exactly was the audition process? Like, now I'm curious.
<v Speaker 2>Audition audition.
<v Speaker 4>M and just uh you so title good, Good and
<v Speaker 4>squad and it's.
<v Speaker 2>A strength test. It was a strength test that she
<v Speaker 2>had to go through.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, interesting.
<v Speaker 2>Oh so she had to do push up and pull
<v Speaker 2>up hiking listen the basic training.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I see, so just your typical calistenics and whatnot. Okay, yes, yes, okay,
<v Speaker 1>so ah W is definitely a stable in your career. Man,
<v Speaker 1>So how did it feel working with some of the
<v Speaker 1>amazing talent coming out of because there's so many legendary
<v Speaker 1>names coming from there that we hear about today.
<v Speaker 2>I know you don't know it, but you may not.
<v Speaker 2>Just pro.
<v Speaker 3>Jo.
<v Speaker 2>I know that Imasca.
<v Speaker 5>So yeah, is my teacher mentor for her professional teacher?
<v Speaker 1>Okay cool. So dump was definitely one of the people
<v Speaker 1>that you really liked working with. Was there any others
<v Speaker 1>who you really just enjoyed working with back at a
<v Speaker 1>j W or a school.
<v Speaker 2>Anymore?

<v Speaker 4>H mm hmm, and very little happy in a j
<v Speaker 4>W because very uh heavy and a terrible world. You
<v Speaker 4>know that happy r.
<v Speaker 2>Somebody. Somebody, Yeah, my teacher, and it's like a majority
<v Speaker 2>majority was DMO who looked out for her because it
<v Speaker 2>was like, I guess there's a there was a lot
<v Speaker 2>of bullying and stuff like that. Sodo was really like
<v Speaker 2>a mentor to her, and she really took care for her.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad that you
<v Speaker 1>had some protection there. But that's interesting. I didn't feel
<v Speaker 1>like anybody would be able to bully bolls on. That
<v Speaker 1>just seems very hard for me to imagine realistically.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, okay, and you.
<v Speaker 4>Move from the but rookie Rookie is a very terrible
<v Speaker 4>and uh and power hussman and everything.
<v Speaker 2>Oh wow, So they had a power of harassment. There's
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of violence in that bullying. So there was
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of bullying in that I guess that time. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, in the eighties there was a bunch of bullying.
<v Speaker 2>Higher ups had rise more rights and they don't they
<v Speaker 2>get jealous mine, did you go?
<v Speaker 6>This?
<v Speaker 2>Every day was like a hell? That's what she said.
<v Speaker 2>Every day was hell for her.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, I didn't realize that. So uh well, now I
<v Speaker 1>kind of want to go down this path a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>I hope you don't mind, but uh so, how do
<v Speaker 1>you feel like it changed your career overall? Do you
<v Speaker 1>feel like if they were nicer in the beginning, it
<v Speaker 1>would have been better for you, or do you feel
<v Speaker 1>like this set you up for something?
<v Speaker 2>I know? Then you got Kari, didn't she go show cut?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>What do you mean? Scary? Just just.
<v Speaker 2>She was really afraid at first because the people who
<v Speaker 2>she was watching on the TV shows, you know, who
<v Speaker 2>was already famous, they were the one kind of bullying her.
<v Speaker 2>Once she got in a in a J A W.
<v Speaker 2>So she was scared all the time and ningen rah,
<v Speaker 2>So what like she's saying, human being, if you get
<v Speaker 2>bullied every day, you get used to it. That's how
<v Speaker 2>she was feeling. She started getting used to this bullying process.
<v Speaker 3>Then after.
<v Speaker 2>So once she started getting bullying every day, that's when
<v Speaker 2>she start getting start feeling like she is gonna get
<v Speaker 2>get over big, stronger than the stronger than these people
<v Speaker 2>who was bullying her. One day she's gonna fight them.
<v Speaker 2>She's gonna win over do better than them.
<v Speaker 3>Soon.
<v Speaker 2>If she wasn't getting bullied, she feels like she's she's
<v Speaker 2>just a regular Nassan maybe no boat.
<v Speaker 1>That's fair. It's a great little motivation. Just okay, you
<v Speaker 1>guys can be rude all you want, but eventually I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to get over that. I really admire that that
<v Speaker 1>you didn't let it stop you.
<v Speaker 2>Sort of swoy, isn't it sort of silly?
<v Speaker 1>This?
<v Speaker 2>So that's that's the era show what era? In Japan
<v Speaker 2>it's called Showa era, like right now, it's a different name,
<v Speaker 2>different era, but that's what's the show. What era was
<v Speaker 2>like they were they had bullying in schools, all these
<v Speaker 2>wrestling world Sports world they did have the like a
<v Speaker 2>bullying process that you have to go through.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, a little bit of a new people hazing
<v Speaker 1>and everything. It seems like it happens everywhere, all right.
<v Speaker 1>So moving on a little bit from that, but I
<v Speaker 1>know we'll circle back to Matsmoto and such later on.
<v Speaker 1>But so I do want to ask you about so
<v Speaker 1>of all the companies that you worked with, what were
<v Speaker 1>some of the differences you saw between WWF and aj
<v Speaker 1>W and w CW that you worked in.
<v Speaker 2>Im No, aj W, w w F, ww w c W.
<v Speaker 4>Every company is very different. So w w E is a.
<v Speaker 3>W w E. You are.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, So w W is the like entertainment world, so
<v Speaker 2>she had like more entertainment, more fun, okay, exciting.
<v Speaker 3>J W is a.
<v Speaker 2>A j W was like a really wrestling fighting for
<v Speaker 2>the top, like it was really wrestling, like seriously just wrestling.
<v Speaker 2>It was fighting fighting avery day in the backstage, everything
<v Speaker 2>has to be serious wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>See I see.
<v Speaker 4>Is a bar just since she was stuck with mine,
<v Speaker 4>you cannot count.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, so w c W was it? W c W.
<v Speaker 2>It's really bubbly to her. It was really everybody's happy
<v Speaker 2>and it was really really happy place to work entertaining
<v Speaker 2>everybody's happy. So it was like nice place to work
<v Speaker 2>for her.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, I want and.
<v Speaker 3>She and Mexico.

<v Speaker 2>there and CMO promotions, but they were more calculated way
<v Speaker 2>of wrestling, and it was fun, but it was different.

<v Speaker 1>Calculated okay, interesting, So CML was the calculator wrestling seemed
<v Speaker 1>like a j W was more just pure wrestling and
<v Speaker 1>everybody is kind of fighting for the top. W c
<v Speaker 1>W was a very happy place to be and I'm
<v Speaker 1>glad that you were able to have that experience. Sounds
<v Speaker 1>like a really fun time. And then w W was
<v Speaker 1>the more entertainment factor, and uh, sounds like you were
<v Speaker 1>really enjoying just being more on the entertainment side rather
<v Speaker 1>than competing too hard for anything too crazy at that points.
<v Speaker 2>I know, Thomas. Yeah, other than aj W, she she
<v Speaker 2>was she was having fun.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, interesting, So your starting point was not a fun place,
<v Speaker 1>then I take it. And then everywhere else after that
<v Speaker 1>you were just enjoying yourself more.
<v Speaker 2>Has it mean?
<v Speaker 3>I know.
<v Speaker 2>You were a lot of fun too at a j
<v Speaker 2>WH I know it's about.

<v Speaker 2>Yes, it was her basic point. There's a starting point
<v Speaker 2>for her. So she was just thinking about wrestling. That
<v Speaker 2>a j W made her think about just the wrestling.
<v Speaker 2>So that's her starting point. So there was a lot
<v Speaker 2>of fun things also, but it was really important. What's
<v Speaker 2>what she had to she went through?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, okay, cool. So I also do want to ask,
<v Speaker 1>so amongst all those companies, who are some of your
<v Speaker 1>favorite people in uh, each one that you maybe hung
<v Speaker 1>out with or interacted with.
<v Speaker 2>No, so nod know, so no cocon, I know my
<v Speaker 2>w W F A j w W C C and
<v Speaker 2>you eat it's a bit.
<v Speaker 3>W W is a Medusa?
<v Speaker 8>Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah? And how did you Mogan doing a passon?

<v Speaker 1>Okay, yeah, absolutely seems like she was a really big
<v Speaker 1>influence on your career. So let's dive in on a
<v Speaker 1>little bit about Moto. So have you watched the Queen
<v Speaker 1>of Villain series on Netflix to the d.
<v Speaker 2>Stein and I know, yes, yeah, Nascas. Oh, she feels
<v Speaker 2>like she started to think back in the days what
<v Speaker 2>she went through. Also, like you know, because it was
<v Speaker 2>back in the day's story. So by watching it, she
<v Speaker 2>start remembering different things.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so it kind of brought back some of those
<v Speaker 1>old memories I guess the good and the bad in
<v Speaker 1>some ways.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah. No, but this this drama is a very clean
<v Speaker 9>and a beautiful okay.
<v Speaker 3>So lear is a different.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. So uh. I did also want to ask, so,
<v Speaker 1>what were your thoughts on the series itself? Did you
<v Speaker 1>feel like it was played up a little bit too
<v Speaker 1>much for drama or did you feel like it was realistic?
<v Speaker 8>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Party to the fiction that master.
<v Speaker 3>And is that you.
<v Speaker 2>Oh we uh you know when the start dump it's
<v Speaker 2>like a younger self. That story was real.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, this story is a very.
<v Speaker 2>A j w PA was kind of made up really
<v Speaker 2>nicely clean. Now all that ther came out, I.
<v Speaker 1>Guess, okay, so they uh they covered up a little
<v Speaker 1>bit more than what was reality, right I see. So
<v Speaker 1>I also do want to ask you about so there
<v Speaker 1>is a scene in the Queen of Villains where it
<v Speaker 1>shows uh, don't mamoto kind of like holding your head
<v Speaker 1>down and like shaving your head and stuff. Was this
<v Speaker 1>actually real or was that playedoff.
<v Speaker 2>A damp sanga?
<v Speaker 4>M yeah, and I'm order but more more really and
<v Speaker 4>not just ato no, I'm uh and garabage and Prussic
<v Speaker 4>and Prussic and this is the plastic. Then cut cut
<v Speaker 4>is a.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah mm hmm yeah and my head oh.
<v Speaker 4>Just mean don't then other three or four and hip
<v Speaker 4>and lesra then catching me then CATC.
<v Speaker 2>So tomorrow sounds show she didn't on this sco no.
<v Speaker 2>I asked her if it was forceful or was she
<v Speaker 2>she ready for, you know, to get shaved off, because
<v Speaker 2>she was saying that they made a plastic and put
<v Speaker 2>the cover over her to have the neck out, the
<v Speaker 2>head out, and then three other I guess the heel
<v Speaker 2>wrestlers held her down and then shaved her head so
<v Speaker 2>I had to ask her if that was forceful or
<v Speaker 2>she was ready for that, but she said it was
<v Speaker 2>half and half.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so you were expecting it, but they were still
<v Speaker 1>being forceful with it and not not gentle. I guess
<v Speaker 1>we could say.
<v Speaker 2>Yea yea parija, I know, to get at it the skull.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, that's I'm sorry. That sounds almost traumatizing.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry that you went through that.
<v Speaker 2>So it is, isn't it? The kick disc got to you?
<v Speaker 3>But uh, I know Dampson this year. Oh she's hump
<v Speaker 3>the Dampson.
<v Speaker 8>So is that.
<v Speaker 2>Okay? So Doug Matsmoto realized that she was not ready
<v Speaker 2>to turn heel all the way she was like in between,
<v Speaker 2>so she made her be ready to be real heel.
<v Speaker 2>So that's what's like what they did to her so
<v Speaker 2>she could be really ready to be the Heel character.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. So it was a little bit of a preparation
<v Speaker 1>on their part to make sure you look the part
<v Speaker 1>and you were ready.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, even like her heart, that's what really made her
<v Speaker 2>turn heel. That little action, the shaving and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>A little bit of a traumatizing but yeah, yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>guess that's.
<v Speaker 2>Why she said, you get sued now if you do that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's very true. So harassment, Oh yeah, definitely. Even
<v Speaker 1>in the military we call that hazing, Like you can't
<v Speaker 1>do that kind of stuff. And there's certain things in place,
<v Speaker 1>like if you're going to do something to somebody, not
<v Speaker 1>necessarily on that, but like I can't make somebody do
<v Speaker 1>push ups, I would have to do it with them.
<v Speaker 1>Or it's like it comes back for that, like what
<v Speaker 1>you went through so much worse. So it's like, man,
<v Speaker 1>I can't imagine how you must have felt after that.
<v Speaker 1>So it definitely was a little bit of trauma to
<v Speaker 1>get you into the character. I guess.
<v Speaker 2>I know this heavy. If anybody does that to you,
<v Speaker 2>don't worry, we all come and cut all their hair.
<v Speaker 1>That's all right. I mean they do it to you
<v Speaker 1>and basic, but it's a little different. But anyways, enough
<v Speaker 1>on that, So did don't really fall into the character
<v Speaker 1>the way that the show kind of portrayed it, because
<v Speaker 1>it seems like she almost went insane for a while.
<v Speaker 2>Damp so don damp in there and machine there? Oh uh?
<v Speaker 3>In in the ring in the RN.
<v Speaker 2>Right in the ring or is that like the office or.
<v Speaker 1>Well, it kind of showed like she seemed kind of
<v Speaker 1>insane even outside the ring for a while on the show.
<v Speaker 1>So I was just wondering, like, was she like that
<v Speaker 1>offset as well or was it just in the ring
<v Speaker 1>that she acted that way?
<v Speaker 2>There the more.
<v Speaker 3>So there, I knows, grow up.
<v Speaker 2>Your h She she she thinks that to be in
<v Speaker 2>that character as dump Mamoto, the hero character, she had
<v Speaker 2>to make herself feel all the way as a he
<v Speaker 2>to make herself a heel, so he she had to
<v Speaker 2>act it out so she could really be the heel
<v Speaker 2>from inside out.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's interesting. So she really lived the character, and
<v Speaker 1>did you by chance following her footsteps a little bit.
<v Speaker 3>With that.
<v Speaker 2>Juveno? Yeah? But he you know here so.

<v Speaker 2>Yes, she she felt the same, but more than that,
<v Speaker 2>she was scared ofto because she was really going crazy,
<v Speaker 2>So she was more scared than admiring what she has
<v Speaker 2>to do. Yes, And she's also older, you know, she
<v Speaker 2>was in earlier than her in the wrestling world, so
<v Speaker 2>that was called sempai in Japan.
<v Speaker 1>I see, I see so uh Gria's relationship. Obviously, I
<v Speaker 1>had some rough points there, but I can see you
<v Speaker 1>definitely show a lot of respect towards her still, do
<v Speaker 1>you know?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Sea, Yes, yes, she had a lot of respect
<v Speaker 2>for her.
<v Speaker 1>I see so I also do you want to ask
<v Speaker 1>about so the makeup look that you always wore and
<v Speaker 1>the hair sticking up? What was that inspired by or
<v Speaker 1>what did it signify?
<v Speaker 2>Buddhista No, I no make up, Nani Nani got you
<v Speaker 2>the make up. I'm not coming out and not done.
<v Speaker 6>I don't harm boom. I know it's a mad Moore
<v Speaker 6>given raw honey in by that do you come pick
<v Speaker 6>all night? Do you?
<v Speaker 3>Isn't it mm hmm?
<v Speaker 2>Okay? For the makeup, you see, she only has half
<v Speaker 2>the face. She has a line and half of the
<v Speaker 2>face that has a that has a meaning that she's
<v Speaker 2>not fully human like half. It's always half done, half
<v Speaker 2>her her heart. She does not feel perfect every time,
<v Speaker 2>so she always feel half, not perfect yet. So that's
<v Speaker 2>what signifies her makeup coming.
<v Speaker 3>On my honey, honey, eat you.
<v Speaker 2>Oh so you're not all the way professional, not one
<v Speaker 2>hundred percent. Sodo shaked your hair half the way, so
<v Speaker 2>that's what's the start. So always told her you you're
<v Speaker 2>still fifty percent, not one hundred percent, So that was
<v Speaker 2>the makeup in well, the hair actually signifies that for miss.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I see, that's really interesting. I always wondered about
<v Speaker 1>why was specifically half, and now I have that answer.
<v Speaker 1>I'm really glad that I was able to get that.
<v Speaker 1>So also I wanted to ask, so why specifically blue?
<v Speaker 1>Is there any uh reasoning for the color as well?
<v Speaker 1>Or was it just what you liked?
<v Speaker 2>Awi? Do you th no Eve got into soko.
<v Speaker 3>Image is a brock and lead, and I think my
<v Speaker 3>my image is a brock and.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, So the d color image color was black
<v Speaker 2>and red and her image color was black and blue.
<v Speaker 2>So that's what mainly the blue part was from.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so you chose your colors at that point and
<v Speaker 1>that was your thing, and you separate yourself from Dumt Matsumoto.
<v Speaker 1>That makes sense, okay, do you.

<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's pretty cool. So let me think here. So
<v Speaker 1>the match that I saw that you had with Dumt Matsumoto,
<v Speaker 1>so I found it very interesting seeing her go into
<v Speaker 1>the crowd with her kindostick and just start whipping it
<v Speaker 1>at the crowd. She really cleared the bleachers. Kind of
<v Speaker 1>made me think of uh Brewser Brody back in the
<v Speaker 1>day where he would be throwing around his chain to
<v Speaker 1>get everybody up that way. Do you feel like those
<v Speaker 1>two are comparable in a way or do you think
<v Speaker 1>that they're just completely different and not going to be
<v Speaker 1>compared in anywhere.
<v Speaker 2>Idea dumb minaga, So there broody centi mi naga So
<v Speaker 2>you can't deta disconnect a.
<v Speaker 3>Cant they were knight this.
<v Speaker 2>She don't feel it has any relation to brody. Women's
<v Speaker 2>wrestling is women's wrestling, it's it has probably has nothing
<v Speaker 2>to do with men's wrestling. Okay, so it's not really comparable.
<v Speaker 1>That's fair, But yeah, both in my opinion all time
<v Speaker 1>great heels with that sort of effect that they can
<v Speaker 1>have on the crowd. Just yeah, all right.
<v Speaker 2>Here here nand so they got.

<v Speaker 1>All right? So, your w w F career included becoming
<v Speaker 1>women's Champion and having great feuds with Alundra Blazer medusas
<v Speaker 1>we all mainly call her. How did you feel about
<v Speaker 1>the feud and working with Alandra so Medusa?
<v Speaker 2>Andrea? I know, do you know? Do you do? You
<v Speaker 2>can't get the want na what they were not really
<v Speaker 2>getting along at all? Really, Yeah, but the more I know,
<v Speaker 2>she know what's to do.
<v Speaker 1>I know.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, but as a wrestler, like because she has to
<v Speaker 2>have a match with her, she trusted her a lot.
<v Speaker 2>As an opponent, I see. Yeah, she was really professional.
<v Speaker 3>It's a good sid.
<v Speaker 2>She has a big part.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. So maybe you two didn't completely get along, but
<v Speaker 1>you were at least able to coexist and get through
<v Speaker 1>everything that you had to and still did it well.
<v Speaker 2>Well I know, yeah listing yet it. Yeah, as a
<v Speaker 2>human being, she felt like Medusa could do anything even
<v Speaker 2>other than wrestling, and she could make it. That's what
<v Speaker 2>type of person she felt she was.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, So you felt like Medusa was very talented. That's
<v Speaker 1>very respectable. So even though you may not have gotten
<v Speaker 1>along with each other, you still had respect for her
<v Speaker 1>personality and her talents. It's pretty cool, right.

<v Speaker 1>So on top of that, what were some of your
<v Speaker 1>favorite fews that you had been a part of throughout
<v Speaker 1>your career?

<v Speaker 1>How do you like working with her? What was some
<v Speaker 1>of Well, obviously you said what your favorite match with
<v Speaker 1>her was, but uh, what were some of your favorite
<v Speaker 1>interactions with her?

<v Speaker 2>Oh, she was like the best rival for her. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>she probably will never meet any other rival that hated
<v Speaker 2>each other and did really good in wrestling, made a
<v Speaker 2>really good match.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so you two had some great times together, I
<v Speaker 1>guess in ring. But did you not get along outside
<v Speaker 1>the ring or did you guys get along outside as well?
<v Speaker 2>A party?
<v Speaker 6>You know?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, of course.
<v Speaker 2>No, they were not getting along at all. They didn't
<v Speaker 2>even like each other.
