Speaker 1: Mmmm, welcome back to all the smokes, boy Stack five, my brother Matt. We're back in l A doing our thing. We got a special guest man, our brother. Him and Matt got their own experience. I shot it into my recently on my ground for giving me a mad a shout out on it on his freestyle re flex, which is hard. You know you wanted all the smoke. But our brother, Gibbs the Rabbit is in the building. Thank you for being Yes, sir, I've been on tour for a minute, just wrapped up in UK. How was there? Like? Uh? I love him bitches over there. It's real, I love That's how we started out. So yes, bad, that's fucking they talked. Oh man, they say all they gotta do is talk to me. Yeah that's it. Yeah, It's it's fun. You feel me? New album so separately out now, Yeah, man, definitely. You know what I'm saying, pumping the album out right now, single with money Bag out right now. Hey, I'm in a good space, you know what I'm saying with the music, so I'm happy with it. Any features besides him, oh yeah, yeah, we got a face on the album. We got uh Brad Jordan's yeah, it's crazy because we did that song like two years ago. So he called me yesterday and was like, Yo, what's this ship out here? I'm on your album? And I was like, yeah, you want it. He was like, no, I'm not. You got that that that that he mean that. I was like, you did the first He was like, man, I don't know where the funk you got that first one? Man. I was like, man, we did that ship like that was one of the first songs I did when I started the album. So he forgot. I forgot and then he was like, no, man, I ain't signing off on that. I don't think that. I don't think you got that for me, And I was like huh. He called me back. It was like my bad Rico told me was all good, but face my digger faces. Like, if it's anybody a rap I look up to, it is definitely him the most. He's my favorite rapper. But him. I got ross on that Um Anderson pot Um ship. I got a good list of people man like that ship was. It was an experience making this album, a real goode DJ Paul. That was probably my favorite favorite session that we did. Uh making this album, But it was all fun man Gary and Danni born in the eighties. Uh, paint that picture man, Gary and the eighties and the nineties and ship was it was you know growing up then was like I feel like it was like, you know, a little dangerous, but it was it was kind of fun. Yeah. Now I feel like that ship is like way too dangerous, you know what I'm say. And like it's it's a different Gary, you know what I mean. And hopefully you know, we switched things around in the city, but you know, it's it's definitely, um a picture like urban DK when you look at Gary, you know what I mean. And you know, with the steel industry going down and things of that nature, you know what I mean. The city has been sucked up for years. But uh, you know we could bring uh some new light to it and you know, bring some attention to do some things that you know what I mean with Uh, you know, I feel like in a position, I mean now, I could definitely bring new, new light, new things to the city now, you know what I mean. But I had to work to get there though. Big Dog Glynn Robinson's from there. Yeah, big Dog, the greatest of all time. Big definitely man. If you play basketball, Batti basketball during um My era, you definitely looked up the Big Dog. He was the one. You know what I'm saying. He was the one that made it. He was in the NBA. You know what I mean, shut out, then we need you on the show. Big Dog. Definitely, Big Dog just wasn't in the NBA. He dominated in the NBA and in college. You know what I'm saying. Don't get Big Dog enough credit. Definitely don't get Big Dog enough credit. You know what I'm saying. Do you have the first time a million dog contract? Another notable name something they know? Michael Jackson, Yeah, Michael Jackson's to beat my daddy asks and the talent shows. Really my dad has some talent. Yeah, my dad's seen my dad shoatellites a matter of fact, you know what I'm saying. Like so, but like he you know what I mean, Like you know, tried to go because him and Mike the same age, so they was always bumping heads in the talent shows and Michael nick Up I was like, man, you ain't sucking mikel talk. And then niggaive niggas did a talent show like Mike brought the whole group out on his motherfucker, Dad, I'm like, you up that solo. He got t do jer Main. They're all doing they step, they got moves, they got Joe, you know what I'm saying. Like they had Joe pushing them niggas. You ain't have nobody. You just said your mama telling you, yes, my baby, like Mike had the team nigger so you could. Yeah, he couldn't suck with Mike. I know your dad, you know you can't. You got there. Well, you can't funk with Bike. Uh, Michael's sucking you up. Your whole life'll be watching Michael Jackson TV. Turn that off it He listened to it on the load though, like a love bike. Uh. Play sports early on, end up getting a scholarship at football the Ball State. Man, I was at Ball State while I walked on the Ball State to play football. Really, to be honest, and I just you know, ship, I was trying to go other places and ship, but that ship wasn't working. But I want to. I really just wanted to go to school with my friends and just keep playing sports and keep doing it. I didn't really, I don't really had no direction in man. Also, young, I don't know what I wanted to do. You know what I mean, I definitely didn't plan on ended up being a fucking rapper, you know what I'm saying, Like I definitely didn't see that ship in the cars to me at that age. You know what I'm saying. I just wanted to just play sports, fuck girls and smoke weed and ship like you know, it took me a long time and know where I wanted to go in life, you know what I mean. I tell a lot of young guys that you know, ship, I'm you know, probably just now at this age, you know, discovering who I truly am and you know, and where I want to go, like not just you know, career wise, but as a man period. One of one of the friends of the program, bondsi Wells, the ball State legend. What was his legend like out there? I mean when you got on campus, you just knew, I mean Bonds the other thing he took them like the Sweet sixteen or something like that, or you know what I mean, Like, Bonds was a legend at State when I got there. So it was Bonds. He told Jack he wishes he would have got robbed on Old Block. Why didn't you go to over my best friend, my best friend and died. He asked. He asked the question. He said, why you go to old I was in Chicago, it was late night, and you just wanted to go, you know what? And I tell them and he was happy. I pulled there. You should be able to go where the funk you want to go, you know what I'm saying. Like a lot of motherfucker's was like, uh, like with the pnb Rock thing, they was giving him flak about eating at that Roscoe's. I mean, the funk what what what gives y'all needs the right to say I can't eat here? I should be able to eat where the funk I want to eat and not get bothered, you know what I mean? But you know that ain't the world we lived. It ain't that easy. I totally understand that. Hypothetically, it should be like we shouldn't be working with each other, especially as black men like man, we gotta let all that stupid ship go. But what exactly? Uh? Music wise, who was you listening to growing up? Scar Face? For sure? Um Tupac all the time. Um. The first voice I ever heard, probably like on a wrap on rapping on the beat was probably too short, and it was like bitch, And I was like, oh, Ship, hell yeah, I like that. I was like that ain't no Luther Andross. You know what I'm saying, because all my dadd who listened to was that the the oldies and Ship like that. But then my uncles came in the house with them tapes and they was cussing and Ship. I was like, yeah, I want to listen to that Ship, so you know what I mean. It was the draws, the shock value, So I get it, you know what I mean? It was you know, back then they was saying what the funk they wanted to say, and they made the way so we could say we want to say now. But you know, Ship Nick is getting prosecuted for their lyrics now. So just talking about that before the show, like you can't gotta be careful. And he was listening to sugar Free just the way he was talking wasn't even talking about no gangs. It was just talking about yeah, you can't even yeah, the way he was talking about it, Yeah, that nigga like you taking a fee to the concrete. You know what I'm saying. So I get it, you know what, but I you know, hey, man, I mean, I love sugar free Ship. I mean, we're just in a different era where everybody real sensitive to ship. You know what I mean. It's all entertainment, you know what I mean, most of it the insecurity. Yeah, that's what it be. Yeah, talk to us about the producer finger Roll. How you met him? Finger Roll was probably he was That was the first nigger that ever like put me on the microphone. He was. He was the only nigger that I knew. And Gary the head of studio. So like when my homie um Wood was going up there like making like his music, and I was like, with what you're doing? You're making like CDs and Ship, And then like the nigga showed me a CD and he had like barcode on it and it was like wrapped up in plastic like you would get it out of best. But I was like, what the fund is this? How you doing this? You know what I mean? And that made me interested. And I didn't even know if I wanted to wrap or whatever. I just was interested in what he was doing and Ship. I just started going up to the to Roll studio and I was listening to everybody wrap and I was like, damn, these niggas trash. I could wrap better than all these things that you hadn't at all. No, No, I was just I was like probably twenty years old, you know what I'm saying around at age, and I was like, uh, fuck it, I'll take a crack at it. And when I took a crack at it, out knocked it out the park and then rolls like, yeah, come back, keep coming back, and he kept telling me to keep coming back, and I was like all right, So I just kept doing that. You know, man, give us an inside and then explain the jenus of alchemis she uh the Alchemist? You know? He definitely always been one of my favorite producers. You know, I'm like Ship he's been producing, like Ship wasn't, so what the fucking night needs me? To be honest, you know what I'm saying. So uh with you know, with everything that he did pre you know, in his career, I always followed it. And I was just like, all right, that would be amazing if I work with him, and you know I did, and like little spurts and then like when we finally like locked it in like we wanted to, and he came out magic. You know what I'm saying, so you know here on my new album too. So it's uh, you know, I I'm you know, I'm in a space form always gonna work with him, you know what I mean. That's that's locked in. It's nothing what different mode you was in when y'all dropped that fright though. Um you know what man I was coming off of I did that Bandanna Ship, and then I was like, man, I gotta make a new album. But you know what I mean, I gotta see you know what direction I'm gonna go in. I knew I wasn't about to do another album, another album with Madly if I was gonna let that brief for a minute. So Ship, I was just like, man, I'm gonna if I can get in with al and you know for Ship ten songs that would be that would be an ais and so it's just really with with with with that Ship Dog. I just like started just like freestyle and the ship over the beaks he was giving me, and then it just turned into an album, you know what I mean. Like if you listen to that album and really even got no fucking hooks on it, you know what I mean, It's just a bunch of wraps. Longer ass raps like I ain't really got no like hooks and those singers and no ship on that, like you know it ain't really you know, it's it's it's definitely UM a different album than UM than what I made this go around, you know what I mean? But you know less it's more sometimes you know, and that you know I proved it on that one, you know what I mean, I really cut the fats, slammed it down and made that ship and you know something great, But I think I do that on Alfredo taught me that, you know, UM that people want to hear some some some dope ship, but they don't want to feel like they reading a book, you know what I mean when they're listening to an album. Now, they don't want to be like damn, but you ever like popping their album open and you're like, damn, man, eighteen songs, this ship long, it's going. I'm gonna have to have a long ass drive being trapped for a long time to hear this ship, you know what I'm saying, Like I'll be trying to like keep that ship down like like forty five minutes, you know what I mean. Something you can listen to real quick while you you know, eat cleaning up doing that you don't even like damn that she was tight, you know what I mean, and make you want to run their mother fucking back. So you know, I'm just all about making the whole body of work cohesive, you know what I mean, So we could uh, you know, just flow all the way through. And I did that with Alfredo, so I was like, all right, you know, me and lamb Will definitely made sure we did that with A Triples two. Coming from just going to the studio to not really confident in your rap to feeling like you're here, to winning the Grammy nominated, that's a hell roll to I mean to Grammy nominated, that's it. That's that's hell of a Yeah. I think I got a more um, a quite interesting career path, you know, and any any other rapper, you know what I mean, because I've been like, you know, independent so long and like I'm you know, it's about to be like you know, this is my first um, major label release, you know what I mean, and I put it out so um, you know, at this point in my career to be doing that right now, that's crazy, you know what I'm saying, so uh, you know, I just I compare my career to like Marvin Hagler boxing career, and you know what I mean, he had to fight like like fifty fights before he had a type of shot, you know what I'm saying. So, but everybody knew him and they respected him. So you know, I feel like I'm just now like really just getting that, you know what I mean. So I'm taking advantage of it, you know, because I don't think I'm not I'm not slacking. I'm not lacking every project. I feel like I'm getting better at the rap ship. That's why I said, early on in my career, like I started rapping and like boom, like within like a year, a year two maybe like two, I had like a record deal in in the scope. So everything happened for me so fucking quick. I ain't really I didn't understand anything about it, you know, I didn't understand really, like I said, how to be a good rapper. Yet I feel like I'm really, you know, the last like five or seven years, just now getting into you know, really understanding what that is and you know, being you know, trying to be one of the the best. You know. When I started out I don't think I was trying to be one of the best. I just wanted to just wrap to try to get you know, it was an economical thing for me, you know now, you know, um, I can't really fine tune the craft of it. You feel me favorite city to perform man um in Miami. Let me let me guess why. Yeah, you know, you know, but they're your favorite favorite Yeah, my biby, Mama Puerto Rican. She in the room right now. You know what I'm saying, Uh, not my girlfriend now Latino. But you know what I'm saying. She looked good to you know what I'm saying, just like just like women. Man, you know what I say. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Let me tell them a funny story about us in Miami. Ahead, go ahead. We played in our land, though we fly to Miami after the game. We get there like twelve o'clock because we wouldn't go to State. We got like three SUVs and parked at the park at the airport. Don't even go to the hotel. We went straight out. We get back. We are practicing. One is in nine thirty. We get back to the hotel like a fifteen. Everybody is supposed to go to their rooms and get their practice stuff. Half of the people went straight to the bus with the clothes we had on at the game from last night. Everybody drunk. Right, we go on the court. Coach like bringing in, we're supposed to be at the warming up. Ain't nobody dressed or nothing? Coach say so we he smelled. Everybody's like, get back on the bus. We're not gonna practice, but we better win. The night came out one by thirty. Some people just can't do that, like that, like that Miami, they'd be like that. That's why I tell my funders I'm getting sun. They like, man, how you'd be so funked up? You're going to stay. I'm like a man ship. You gotta go out that this ship, but you gotta wake up and do it. Uh large festivals or heading your own tour. Oh ship, that's a good one. Damn man. I gotta say both of them, because it's like ship that I like um doing on tour, and it's festivals that I love going to. I like being at the festivals. I like going to watch the other mothers know what I'm saying. Like, so that'd be cool, but you know, ain't nothing like having your own tour, and you know what I mean, And most artists can't even do that, you know what I mean. So it ain't a lot of motherfucker's that could like fill up a room for dirty cities, you know what I'm saying, Like that's a that's a gift, you know what I mean. It's motherfucker's that got ten million Instagram followers but can't go do no ship on the road. So you know you mentioned you enjoyed watching other artists. Who are some of the people who are some of the music you like right now? Uh? Damn h man, I've just been I've been listening to my ships so much because I've been doing this. It's been really it's been really tough to like listen to other music. But you know, the motherfucker's on my album, I listen to all of them obviously. You know up there Push your t for show, you know what I mean? You know I love Push, uh Anderson Park of course. Who else I've been listening to lately now, I've been listening to R and B. I've been listening to Old Ship lately. Man, I've been trying to catch a vibe, so be singing to hell. Yeah, I'm a keen arm thought. You know that Kelly locked up. Somebody got to do this ship. You know what I'm saying, somebody got to do this ship. Man, Life on the road. What's that? Life on the road? Life puts something that they killed books? Man funked up and told Fox. I was like, hey, man, I'm gonna put something the nigger books man for real? Man, straight up kills out of them. Man, Yeah, he sucked up. Get nineties nine thousand years so getting in the thirties off, that's just off the one, ain't damn man? You know more it's coming to life, man, you know more, it's coming. I just feel like he should you know, I don't know, man, you just got just going in and just find God. Man, do you think ain't such a wrap for you? Don't be in jail for rest of your life? Man? You know what I'm saying, what's the life on the road? Like? It's great about it's great for me? Um? You know, man, this ship sometimes it's extra extra funds. Sometimes that she can get extra extra dangerous, especially for a fucking rapper dog. You know what I'm saying. Straight up? You know obviously you know how your little controversies and things and things of that nature. And you know, when you're a nigger from the street, rapping nigger is gonna try to test you. It is what it is. And I know that ship coming along with the territory, So you know, I don't really give a fun you know what I'm saying. You said something off camera, you said you I mean, and then it just kind of struck me, just like you know, he's like he said something like, I enjoy rapping overseas because I know it's safe over there. All you said, like coming off stage here, mother fucking have a gun. You never know, Yeah, yeah, yeah, my fucker have a gun in America, you know what I'm saying. At least you know overseas, I know there's gonna be no shootout after the show. I know, ship like that, you know what I mean? The fight is a fight. Whatever the funk that that don't I don't give a funk about that. You mean they drunk, Yeah, that we get hit all day. Fight you know what me? A fight don't mean ship to me. But like all of that shooting ship, I'll be like, all right, man, I you know when you get to that point trying of like no, man, like, let me move, you know, kind of move away from that, you know. I mean, you just gotta you know, you gotta move differently when you're on tour and in the US then you do when you and you're you know, you definitely got security and all of that ship. But like you know, you're definitely not You're not worried about a gunshot as much as you are here of course, you know what I'm saying. So in fourteen you had an incident, someone open firing you and your entourage out there performance in Brooklyn. Yeah, definitely, Um that she was crazy. Um. I look back on it now and I'll just be like, damn man, Like this rap ship is definitely dangerous, don't you know what I mean? Like you gotta count your blessings, dog, you know, I think about that a lot, and I'd be like, damn man, Like just making music, I gotta like worry about like making it home, you know what I mean. And if I was just like a fucking like a country singer or some ship like that, or like, you know what, I have to worry about that same ship, you know what I mean. It's just because like you know rap, you know, especially the street rap. We do it come from the street, you know it. Street niggas in this business, you know what I mean, Like you know, it really ain't no getting away from it. You know, like you in it, You in the streets, other niggas that's in it from streets to you know what I mean. And it's gonna be issues sometimes. I mean a lot of highs and lows in this space. I mean, it's just but of late, it seems like rappers have been dropping out an alarming right alarm the PNB just a couple of weeks ago, Dolf Pop smoke Ni years ago. It's just like I mean, obviously you said. I mean, it's you really have to worry like you have one of the best professions. You're living out your dream, but you have to worry about being killed within your dream. That's crazy. I mean. And I was telling my mom, be telling me. She'd be like, man, I just just hope you just like lean more towards the acting thing, you know what I'm saying, Because it's like man ship Leonardo DiCaprio. Them they're getting pop when they're coming out of a restaurant. You know what I'm saying, like real talk, they chilled. They can probably walk around with no security, you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, I go to a restaurant in West Hollywood, I gotta have security because I'm like, I gotta worry about a mother running up on me when I'm you know, you know, sitting down and trying to rob you or whatever. So it's just like, I don't know, man, Like this ship is a drag sometimes. Man, it's definitely depressing, you know what i mean, because you know, and it'd be our own people doing it. That's the fucked up part, man, you know what I mean, they'd be other young motherfucker's dog. Just you know that that that one what you got, you know what I mean, that take your life for it. Man, It's it's sad, dog, you know what I mean. Like I've been, you know, rapping and doing all of that ship for so long. I'm so far removed, you know, from that that lifestyle. Like, man, I just want to just ship like I got kids in private school. Dog, I'm trying to be like a regular dad. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. But I know the professional I mean, and the element of niggas that you know what I mean, come with it. So I still gotta deal with the streets, dealing with rap regardless. You know, they used to say, you know, rap was a young man's game, But I mean, you forty years old. There's a lot of other rappers that are finding success and and still being successful and still you know, trending up right. I don't think you gotta stop, you know what I'm saying. Like, I think that us as a culture, we put that stigma time clocking, that stigma on rappers like oh man, like if you blah blah blah, you can't you know what I'm like, Ship most of the ship, the top niggas is older than you think, you know what I'm saying. So it's like, you know, like if shiit um these, if Elton John ain't got to stop making great music, how the fun I gotta stop? You know what I'm saying. That motherfucker seven five years old that was in the restaurant road still and then you go, you know what I'm saying, like, why no security there? You go exactly, He's probably good. He's probably with a bad bitch too. And I would have hold bunch of players at the table. They were players night out. I would have been with a bad bitch. But up years old, you feel what I'm there. But uh, you know, like ship man, that's what I'm saying, Like, why do we have to stop? Like I could as long as, like you said, trending up and excelling in this Like I could do this ship. So I'm eighty years old. If I'm eight years old and I can still make a great to definitely, It's just all about keeping fresh content and just you know, things of that nation. And that's why, um, I feel like like with my album Ship, that rollout Ship is so important, you know what I mean? And every time I do an album, just creating a new theme, you know what I mean, it's you know, it's like making a movie experience, Yes, an experien. Homeboy was telling us about it, but but but breakdown what what that process is like and what you guys are doing particular for this album. Uh, we just you know, like the title of a Triple West Soul so separately, So I just you know, with the theme of that, I was just on something like life as a gamble type ship. So that's why we did the Vegas theme, you know, type ship with that and um everything you know, down to the letter, from the text on the on the on the album cover to the color of it. You know what I mean. I think you've got to be real particular about all of that ship, you know what I'm saying, and you know, to to really make the project go, you know what I mean. I don't just it's more than just rapping, you know what I mean, because like you know, I say this a lot. I feel like guys just like rapping and you know, and giving you a couple of songs like this is a playlist of their music. They're not giving you a full experience anymore, you know what I mean. Like we don't get to go to the record store and like bad albums really like that. No more, you still can't. But you know what I'm saying, Like it's not the same as it used to be. We're in the streaming there, so I feel like you gotta give people something tangible, something that they can really you know, remember and go go with, you know what I mean? And uh, like one of my favorite albums, I'm always remember that. It's always pictured in my head. A t L is outcast, you know what I mean? Like the music was amazing obviously, but like everything the cover and the ship like I had. I probably bought like three of them because I want to pull the CD book out and put it on the all. You know what I'm saying. It's just like everything, you know, the color of it, just the theme of it, all of that, and they just like made me like stick to outcast like after that. I love Southern playalistic that as well. With like that album right there, it was like okay, yeah, they made me feel like I was a tlien. What's song you shooting videos for? Off? This new one? Shot? All of them? Them? All of them? Yeah, bad business too. Stay in hip hop right now? Um, I think it's in a good space. I mean, if you're making money, you know what I'm saying. Uh, Like I said, we're in a streaming error, so you know, things is getting different, you know what I mean, the money of it is getting different. I think, you know, so sort of like the NBA, you know, those contracts getting bigger, minus the talking about the dead and killing and beef and and all that ship. I think we could do without that. Yeah, we could do with all of that. Yeah we can. You know what I mean for me, and I don't mean interruption, but but for me, You've never seen so many young black right, and a lot of them are coming from rap, right, you know what I'm saying. So to see that happened, but to see it can easily be erased in the heartbeat by the way the direction we're going. You know what I'm saying, because you said it yourself, bro, We got a lot of young black millionaires coming from rapping, and whether rapping where the rapping niggers is coming from. They're coming from the street bottom. Everybody not equipped to get all that money, and they hand and deal with it at a young age. You know what I'm saying, Like, because you know, ship, you gotta ship. You turning a nineteen year old to a millionaire. And they got shooters, he got niggers, he can, you know, pay to funk you up. You know what I'm saying. He's got more money than he ever has, so we can move in a different way. He can move like a mafia boss, now, you know what I'm saying. So it's like, you know, these motherfucker's playing call of duty for real and they got a lot of your money to do it. Then get you fucked up, you know what I mean? So hey, you know what I mean. I think it's just gotta be a you know, everybody gotta you know that the big homie ship is fucked up. That's the problem because the they the worst one blindly, the blind that's the that's the problem. Like we're not you know, and Face said that on my album. He's like, man, we ain't giving nothing to guy the youth with you know what I mean. So it's going to continue to be funked up like that, you know what I mean. Wasn't the PNB situation of father side the Shooter. That's some crazy ship. I've seen that, you know what I mean. And and then somebody tried to say, all the dad was just in the car. I'm like, man, an he drove, he was the getaway driver dog and burn the car up and everything. So you know what I'm saying, that that ship was crazy, man, Like I mean, I can't say like I wanna, I wanna say, I hope the dad didn't tell him to do that or put him on doing that, you know what I mean. I want to say that, but I don't know, I don't know the facts, you know, what I'm saying, But h she if he did he, if he was involved with that, that's that's just sick, not not just you know, not just you know what I mean, like taking dude life and all of that. That's funked up too. But it's like, damn you put you taking your own something. You know, that's crazy. So I prayed that he didn't have him do that. You know that's fucked up. You know, I'm gonna give you a few names. Tell me how these people have inspired to influence you if they have it all face oh ship, I mean faces like he is gangster rapping me. Like I said, he one of the first voices I ever heard recorded, you know what I mean. So the first tape I ever had was we can't be stocked, you know what I mean. Like I was scared of bushweek Bill. I thought that nigga was like a real life Chucky Doll. I was like, Yo, this isn't gonna suck you up. When I see the man playing tricks on your video niggas. My mama was like, no, you ain't going out for Halloween and Bushwick Bill, everybody catch you and fuck you up. You know what I'm saying like, and I was like, nah, you know what I'm saying. So like that ship was like and like like and like I said, like what they did. They made me buy into it, you know what I mean, face made me buy into what it was, you know what I mean, because that's what it was. Like they the theme of it. They was pushing this nigga Bushwick Bill with his ash shot out on the gut them hospital bed, and I was like, what the fun There's some scary ship. Yeah, that was the cover. So I was like, I gotta have this. You know what I'm saying. I gotta be at school, Like look at this ship. You see this man and fucking Mitchell with the ac ball hanging out for real. They arrested Piece Bush with Bell, DMX, oh um Ship with DMX When I um I met DMX one time, bro, and then ship was I was like, damn crazy. It was out of bout the experience. But anyway, I met that nigga and I was just like, man, how do you bring so much energy to the stage? And he's like, hey, you know what I mean? And I just get the dog't know what the funk he said that the words didn't make no sense with it, but I felt the energy come to him and I was just like, Yeah, the nigga really got that dog shit in him me. He really is a goddamn dog man, that Nigga is. And you know, one of the greatest rappers all the time. I don't think DMX get enough credits being like one of the best rappers all time like that. Nigga like put two number one albums out like back to back in the same year, you know what I'm saying. Like that, nigg is definitely one of the goats, And don't think that he gets credited enough for being one of the goats. But uh, I really admire his energy on the stage, so I try to kind of like emulate that when I go out there, you know what I mean, especially at the fucking festival, you know what I mean? And you know, just every time period, you know what I mean. Like I look at doing a rap show, that ship is like doing a couple of rounds of boxing, you know what I'm saying, It's like a heavyweight fight to me. So and I think that you know, guys like DMX and like bust the rhymes, they like win at that ship when they come to like performing. You know those two guys that I watch Ship to me. Tupac the greatest rapper all time. You know, he got the best voice, um, delivery everything. You know what I mean. So the the oh, the overall story of Tupac, the legend of it. I mean, Ship, I'm crazy, you know what I'm saying. So Ship, I'm probably bad here because Tupac got Damn we got we got someone in here. His mom. We used to date him. What your bond dated? Tupac? Oh? Man, I saw you put your your head down. Dog, I knew it was you have to say nothing, Damn baby, what's your phone number? Come on, I didn't know that I was gonna do that. Bro, I didn't know he was gonna do you like. I'm sorry, Dog, ain't gonna Damn POC told your mom. I let way you activate your hips and put your ass out. Gotta dig the whoa that's so bad about the past? Damn Ship. Was you around when they was kicking it? Or you wasn't born yet? He was? He was here, yeah, but I say like he wasn't he was in the next room. How do your wound it? Damn this to that Casey and Joe Jo sending outside the window, toss it up. Damn man, that's crazy. Dog. See I'm stealing this Tupac ship. How old was you when? I gotta know how old was you listened to him? YETO was you like a baby? If I'm a teenage podca to my house, I'd be bad as fuck you blaming my mama. Man, Okay, listen, no boy, your tapes. But now, jay Z, I mean jay Z is eat a blueprint of everything. Dog, I mean ship he buried to be. You gotta be a hell of a nigger to do that, you know what I'm saying. So okay, I never got nothing bad to say about jay Z. Man. I love Jay I mean anything he built from, you know, the ground up. You know what I'm saying, Like ship. Every week we're all trying to be like him, you know, every every rapper trying to be like that. You say you're nothing, You're a lying motherfucker's but everybody trying to get on that level. You know. Favorite collapse today, my favorite collapse go rappers to collaborate. Yeah, just give me three probably push. Um. I like working with him. Um, I need to do another song with Killer Mike I like rap. I like with Killing Mike. I need to get in with him. Um she uh Ross. I love rapping with Ross. You know what I'm saying that, Like he really said he set a standard. So it makes you want to just like my like rapping with motherfucker's that make you want to bring your a game. You know what I mean? To the to the booth, it's about probing the South. I would I wish I could hear you collap with Killer Collion. I love Killer Cally. That's my name, drop up and Killer Ship. I think that ship. I want to say we did a song together before. I don't remember that. Man, that's a lot of a lot of because Killer was I've been knowing Killer for a long time, over ten years. So yeah, Killer Cally on one of the best rappers out the South period, you know say that, Yeah, hell yeah, it's that kill little ship, that mocker. But he like does he killer the type of motherfuck he liked to rap all day long, Jesus rap machine. Like he's just like I'll be like, damn, man, I don't even like rapping as much as you like that ship. That for the wake up rapping and freestyle on the phone here, go to the booth here, dude. But yeah, Killer is one of the best technical rappers that I ever heard for So Killer, who left you and all? Coming out the booth at the working room? Um, DJ PAULA, I was like, damn. But I was like, ship, we made the beat. I was like, you gotta wrap on that ship. He was like, man, okay, ever's just got high and and did I think you know what I'm saying that? But he Paul killed that ship? You know what? Uh fucking legend man, I was. It was just experience to be able to just actually get in the studio with him, period. So I love that. I love DJ Paul Man. That's ship. That's one of my close friends. Now, man, I fuck Paul heavy man. What's the bar you think you'll be most remembered by that you dropped? Mm hmm Damn. That's a good question. Man. I got so many wraps. I don't even know one one bar that I'm gonna be remembered by. Uh, I don't know. That's so good at you? You stumped me right there, dog, I got so many songs. I'm like, I don't even remember you could wrap a bar in my mind, right now i'd be like I said that Rick James and I like slap like a real thick. I'm like, I'm getting like face. I'm like forgetting ship, like damn, I did that song like real. I don't know, I don't really know. It's one bar that's gonna define me. It might be a project that will define me. It might be this woman probably Alfred though, but who knows. You know what I mean. I think that if they still hit that five mic ship, the last like folk projects, that I drop a be getting that ship. I had like fifty mics. N you know I'm saying, so you know, I just you know, just want to just continue to just you know, get better at it dog, you know, um when you start mailing it in, I think that's when you can start following off, you know what I mean. Like a lot of niggas in this game man like Ship. It's like a fucking mother fucking rap like a motherfucking football career, you know what I'm saying, Like that ship really only be can really lash or as like two years really the average you know what I mean, the average rap only lasting as motherfucker like two or three years, you know what I mean, like, really, these niggas is lucky that they got social media to stretch their career out because a lot of niggas is really musically irrelevant, you know what I mean. You just used to see an ass on Instagram all day, so you're like, oh, yeah, you gotta be a celebrity because you got woo this many followers. You're taking the nigga follow account and you know what I mean, And that don't really quantify like what that ship really means on the outside. Like I said, some of my friends can't even packing room, you know what I mean. So you know, it is what it is. Man, we got more like nowadays, I feel like we got more like social media stars than like any music stars, you know what I'm saying. Like, you know, like you said, even in sports, motherfucker's is on the Twitter and all that ship and need to get the ass in the gym, you know what I'm said, you know, get on their game. They more you know, social media stars, like you know, than than basketball players. I don't know about it. Follows. Yeah, real ship. We ain't gonna say no names, but I heard a story from somebody recently and they told me that a guy was he was telling the teammate to pick up full court and pressing, and the dude told him, I'm not gonna pressing because he's gonna follow me. Bro, I could not believe that. He go up follow me. Hey, that's how you heard him. I cannot believe that story. Bro, that's how you heard the mother fucking feelings. Nowadays, you could take mother fucking money out of nigger pocket. But ship that unfollowed that give me that money. He's like, it's all good, but you do hit that unfollowed button on. Man, that's gonna crush on nigger. So why you aren't following that? Why are you wan't following me? Do that to make a nigga call you for real like you ain't spoke to in years. Shi look at that and see you don't follow him no more? On my god, dog, That's what I'm saying. This ship just just got nigga's heads fucked up, dog for real, unfollowed man, that's how I know you. I want to make a bit mad I Black Boom not following you, bitch right up? Explain the backstory behind the bunny all to you go, Oh, there's some game ship you know, you know so you've been old blocking all that ship, you know, and it's cute, it's a rabbit, it's marketable. They love it. Kids like it, adults like it. But both of all white people like it. Yeah yeah, logans, they don't scare them. Motherfucker's that's going out, okay, and all actuality and I don't give beside yourself. Okay. If you had to compare your your game to somebody an NBA, who would it be? Stephen Jackson? Oh okay, well, I mean hey, okay, I played like you niggas Okay, okay, you think we'd be would be the best wings nigga. That's who I played like. I played like that. You went on record saying you're a smaller version of Braun. Yeah, Bigraun, big guard. Yeah yeah, a little bit. I'm more like you. I'm like you. I'm like cap Jack. You know what I'm saying. You go to state days, That's who I woul like. Okay, all right, that's about right, that's sound about right. You gotta cut the rest of your face, your hair off, and only have a cop muster. Yeah, jermy, you need to have your California Highway Patrol and you in your blue blockers on for that to punch yours stackled underrated man for really on the places all that ship like you like most of the wind. I feel like the Wings now kind of played like you played. A lot of them played, but two way now we played were playing. That's what I mean. Like, Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like it's you know, you change like niggas changed the game. You know what I'm saying. Like Tatum and nigga's like that. You know what I'm saying. Shout out to Jackson Tatum. My motherfucker took off. I wish Tatum problem that man. That's who would be your top three rappers slash artists who can ball oh um ship Snoop one of them his Snoop old but he can still hoop though that mother. He just got a basketball. I Q was crazy bus the best entertainer basketball player. That a whoop. Any nigga, it's Chris Brown by far, I said it all the time. It's Chris fucking Brown, nigga. That niggas I don't even like hoping with that nigg'na played against that nigga. That nigga fucked us up. I was like, yo, you gonna do this, you gotta be in shape to play basketball. Chris Brown Like I wasn't in shape. I was like, so, you gotta come ready when you work with a nigga like that, because he got all the energy. And I've seen this nigga shoot the three, hit the motherfucking three and do a backflip. I said, I'm sitting down on the court, did a fucking flip. I said, all right, man, you're gonna around dunk on somebody. Man, I'm out. But Chris Brown the best entertaining a basketball player that I like that I've ever seen. Period. We did this one time and someone sent me a personal d M and said, how the funk was my name not mentioned? Damian Gillard? Amian Gillard. That's what he called herself, Gilly Gilly Gilly. How we're talking about rap? His name, Damian Gillard. Hey, Gilly can hoop for show. He can hoop. But I'll locked Guilly up though, right here, I'll lock you up. Gilly can shoot. I'll be telling Gil already you don't want it, you know what I'm saying. Like he got a good offensive game for show. He just don't hear. Nobody played no defense on. You know what I'm saying, payer defense on. You just gotta get locked up, gil That's it. Ain't nobody nobody locked up. Ain't nobody locked you up for real? But you can. You got skilled. You definitely is one of the best niggers out there in the entertainment industry that can hoop. You are will give you that. He definitely want the best shooting. He definitely is for show. He ain't nobody anybody locked him up. Yet nobody locked him up. Ain't nobody had to stammer to lock you up. I'm going with you, nigga, like Pat Bell, shout out, little shout out Pat Billet all day with you. That's it. I don't even need to shoot if we play, gil So, be focused on locking you up. I want all this. You know. He can't wait. He can't wait to hear that. I know I'm gonna get him gas. I'm about to go. I'm about to go funk with him anyway. You know what I'm saying, soon abody like a couple of weeks or so, But nigga, we need to go hoop after that. To gil So, locking you up, get your squad. You've been a Bulls fan growing up. Uh, what you remember about the m J days and watching d rows Man, I was just telling I was just telling j D yesterday. I was like, man, I hope d Roles go back to the Bulls and retire you a bull. I mean he does. He deserved that, you know what I mean. But I mean that was the best air to watch basketball. I think, you know, the nineties with Jordan's you know what I mean. You know, I think everybody was a Bulls fan in you know, happing to just be right there, you know, and Ship Mike still the best all time dog. So I mean, the the Arab basketball that he ushered in, you know, that ship that ain't gonna that ain't ever be erased or duplicated, you know what I mean. Lebron amazing as well too, man. So I can't take nothing away from him either, you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, if if if you got to be a number one like Ship that's like one and one A. You know what I'm saying. I just feel like just Jordan's just changed the game, you know what I mean, the whole business aspect of it totally. And I've seen that looking at that um, that new Laker documentary, m that Ship's fight. I don't want to Hulu. I've been checking that ship out, that ship dopes um with the with the magic thing and the Jerry Buss and how they changed the business of the game too. So you know, so I wouldn't even I didn't need I wasn't, you know, watching the Lakers. You know what I'm saying. I wouldn't really funk with that. Like I said, I was a bull fan, like you know, niggas in my household, like the Pistons. For some reason, I don't know what the fun that was. Niggas like Isaiah we loved because from Chicago and ship. But you know, if the doc really showed me, you know, like being a Laker fan was com out here something I'm I'm a Laker fan from ninety to ninety eight. I think it's an a year stretch. Jordan's only lost two games in a row one time from where ninety So like eight years eight years stretch when only lost one game. I mean, we only lost two games one time in a row, one time, no quota. But I guarantee you look it up. I think it's from sounds real, No, I guarantee. And this is also a fact he only lost one playoff series while he had an All Star on his team. Damn, that's crazy. His whole career, only one playoff series when he had an All Star on his team. Wow, So he didn't do to look it up? Look it up to me? Bout wrong? What series was that? No, he don't ask one series when he came back. When he came back, lost one series when he had an All Star on his team that had to be in Orlando when he came back. Never lost three games in a row, but only I only lost more than two once. I'm glad I'm gonna here with some real basketball motherfucker's. I wanted to ask you all this question, like I was having a debate with somebody. Do you consider a Bad Boys a dynasty? They won two rings? Right? I think I do? Yeah, I considered that a dynasty. For show three they went to the final three year in a row. Though, you know what I'm saying, good work, Broy. That's crazy. Your hands are a little moist, but good work people. Ninety what so you he said, do you consider the Bad Boys Pistons the dynasty? I don't. I did, I just think they had a whole bunch of great players. I consider them a dynasty. What why why don't you consider them a dynasty? They want two championships in the row, Well, I don't. I don't consider to a dynasty. But they went to the finals three years in the row. Yeah, I don't consider to a dynasty, you know. Yeah, San Antonio was a dynasty, Bulls was a dynasty, Lakers was a dynasty, Celtics was a dynasty. It's Golden States a dynasty. Dynasty. I think, I honestly think that the Pistons was a dynasty. Great because the year it wasn't a dynasty. I think there was a dynasty because they got two championships. But I feel like that team was so important to that era that you gotta consider it a dynasty. Like that was a motherfucking they didn't nobody want to play them niggas. What I'm saying, like straight up like the bull like if if they shut first of all, they shut the Lakers dynasty down, you know what I'm saying, and then they had to get past them to start his ship up. So I think that the Piston was an important team. I think that they don't get the credit for being a dynasty. I think that they was, Yeah, you got so you gotta have a certain number, more than one run, you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, you like like like the Lakers got multiple runs at chips, multiple chips, they got multiple runs the most important Yeah, us different. They had a different run. They had to run with Ben Wallace and new but they did. But they did though. In fact, that's three chapters. That's three chips total, you know what I'm saying. So I think, you know, solid teams, solid team. That was a big spread. But you know what I'm saying, Like, I mean the Lakers had a big spread too. They ain't win ship in the nineties before Shocking them got there, you know, but they ran with Shock for three, then took a couple of years off, and then ran two with COLDE. That's true. I mean, I'm not comparing the Trust and I'm not comparing the Lakers to the Pistons at all at all. But I'm saying, like, I feel like the Pistons don't get look like this. If Isaiah and them go, say they went three out of five in a five year stretch, and they go for five years we'll probably would be talking about them with dynas they win five years straight and went three out of that five. Maybe then you know what I'm saying, two not enough, but dynasty. I also think that Isaiah was a superstar that not everyone liked. He definitely an underrated superstar, no question about that, because I mean what, he probably would top three point guards all times. He was a dog, it was stuff. He might be magic, the best point guard all time. But ship Isaiah up there. Like I said, he probably top three point guards all time. I say, I want I wouldn't give him top three. I'll give him top six, top six. You wouldn't put him in the top five point guards. I'm not putting them before stuff for Steph Curry. No, okay, I can't do that. I can't do that. I get that, I need that. I can't get back to it. We'll talk about this. What's what players you like watching today? What players I like to watching? John Morant? For sure? You know what I'm saying, Like, I gotta get in front of the TV when he on that, for sure, I gotta I gotta watch it. If it's a game John Morant playing, and I gotta watch that you know, I mean, he electric. You know what I'm saying. He reminds me of like d You know, he gave me that feeling that d Rose gave me when when when d Rose came in, you know what I'm saying. So but he's amazing, you know what I'm saying. John Morant for sure, he definitely probably my favorite player to watch, definitely and uh k d of course I want to see what they do in Brooklyn. This ship. They glued it all back together. I want to see what they make it, what they do, what they make it work, you know what I'm saying. Hopefully they do. They got the d seeing that nigga Ben Simon shoot a jumper. We have to, but we're gonna. I need to see it during the season. I'm I'm tell you, I'm all broken over here with the way in I've everybody went to the last two years. You know, my boy, my boy, shout out my boy. Dare's Garland. That's my dog. Yeah. Held. They definitely a top backcourt, top five in the East. I think I think they a top five team in the East when you rank their bad court mat right now, they gotta top they gotta they gotta do it though, for I gotta see it done first. Just like I can't run, I can't. Yeah, I can't rank Trey and Dijon ye because they haven't done nothing yet. That ship is hard to get that chemistry with You're running, mate. I'm interested to see how that's gonna work. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. But they got all the other pieces too. Like to me, they finally developed uh an identity outside of Lebron, Like this is their first identity. Like this team right here is new, young, energetic. Yeah, like dogs, dogs, and they got mobi. They've the power for the tough Yeah, with the arow the ship Alan, Yep, they they definitely got a squad. Dog. You said they're top five. Used to think they're top five in the East. Yeah, you mean the bull is gonna be it right in that mix too. Four through six, depending if Lines of Ball can come back this year. He still says. They said they don't know what's wrong with his knee and Caruso we're a big part of that defensive energy they created that got them off took a start. Yeah, we need Lineso back for show brain Dy Rose back in quick hitters. First thing to come to mind, speak your mind. You're active on Twitter. Is there one tweet you wish you could take you back? No? No, namnnoh, I like the way you say that now, Damn. I tweeted it. Then, ain't taking ship back? Type that motherfuck out and thought about it. Thirdly, I said, I'll blow your motherfucking mama house up. I'm a day I meant it. You shouldn't have said what the funk you said to me to get that respect? Yeah, exactly called me on the right and you got the right one. When you want to talk ship, I could do that ship all day long, though, motherfucker need not funk with me on that because I will roast the funk out you. You can said what you want to say about me. I'm gonna turn your ass in the comedy nigger and you're gonna get mad and all of that ship And I love it. If you can relive a sport and then a game, what would what you want? Would it be? Um? Hid uh Glearen Robinson and the motherfucking was it. In the nineteen ninety motherfucking High State High School Championship against Alan Henderson, he dunked on that motherfucker like you know what I'm saying, Big Dog, that's probably that was. That's probably one of the first basketball games because they used to play that ship in like the Hoosier Dome or something like that. That was probably like the biggest stage of basketball that I had ever seen at that age. So yeah, man, that was. That was a moment, you know what I'm saying. And Big Dog one of my favorite players anyway, So you know Ship, Like I said, I've been watching him since he was I was watching since he was in high school. So if you could be in the studio for any of the greatest albums ever made outside of your own, Who's whose album? What you have been in there listening? Um, And that's a good question. I ain't gonna necessarily say album that. I would just want to be in the room and see how they made it. Um. Probably the chronic. I would love to be in a sessions and Ship just to smoke the weed that then, you know what I'm saying like that, I'm just want to see the chronic. Probably it was probably some bad bitches in the studio sessions kind of ship. So they I'm pretty sure Dr Dre and Nichol was getting really inspired to make. You know what I'm saying. So I would love to being around all that inspiration. You know what I'm saying. So get a good old inspiration. Definitely man thatd or Doggy Style something like that. You know what I'm saying. I would have love to watch be a flown the wall and watch Snoop make an album, you know what I'm saying. All too young back then, but then in them class and classics. The funniest thing that happened to you recently? Uh, when Scott Face called me and forgot that ship. He said, I sign it off for that ship. I was like, okay, man, my bad, I forgot that, I said to the Soba. He was like, oh yeah, okay, yeah, this ship hard. Let's go with it. That's funny. Five dinner guests, better alive, Oh five dinner guess Damn. I have to eat with tupac Um Jesus Christ, come on and eat break bread with its blessed to be jay z jay Z y'all love Uh eat with him? And then I had to have like Halle Berry sitting next to me at the table. You did what I'm said that you got one more seat, one more seat? Uh? Get two of them. Who else you want? Jeff Bezos for some money in his mother. I know you've got some money plays with Yeah, so uh, I don't know. The other seat gotta be with another rich motherfucker. You don't said that. I could like games some knowledge you knowing that if you can have any guests on All the Smoke, who would it be? If you can see any guests on our show, would it be? M m that's a good question. Uh. A lot of y'all, hear, a lot of y'all't be having another women on him. We need to get something standing up for female inclusion. We haven't had a lot of. But you are so welcome to this show. I would love to see it. You go, that's what we need. I'm standing up for women's right, female inclusion. There you go, female, pat man. We gotta got a little gift box for you. Where can they get that at? Jack? Our big brother, Um John, my big brother John Schallie told me something yesterday and we have here, and we have here all just smoke that store. Yeah, so you can pick this up.
