0:03 Welcome back to another episode of basically answering questions and talking about 0:08 it and having a conversation with the lovely Abigail 0:10 You can see the side of her face here 0:14 We filmed the first two episodes of this in the same day so 0:18 Based on what y'all like or your constructive criticism. 0:22 We might change the way the layout is. We're not sure yet 0:26 We're just kind of figured it out. So Abigail is 0:28 gonna ask me some questions from my Facebook Instagram 0:31 YouTube all those comments and we're just gonna have a conversation. So Winston's Getting a Girlfriend? 0:37 First question. Would you ever consider finding Winston a lady friend? 0:42 So here's the thing Winston is not an intact 0:46 boar. We had him castrated when he was a baby 0:49 So at this point in his age, I feel like he would hate 0:55 Another pig he's already not thrilled with any other human like living creature. So 1:01 probably not 1:04 Winston was definitely one of those things where I 1:07 First off I thought a 30 pound pig existed. So I went bought a 1:13 Micro mini pig when I was 18 years old 1:16 I skipped class in college one day and drove to 1:18 Alabama and bought him from a lady who had them in her garage 1:20 Okay 1:21 Like it wasn't the smartest most well-thought-out thing to get this pig and then 1:25 definitely learned a lot of things that I shouldn't have done 1:28 Can't fix it now. So I'm not opposed to ever getting more 1:31 pigs in the future. I just I don't think it will be well 1:33 Winston's here 1:35 If that makes sense 1:37 Okay, so no friends for no friends for Winston probably Are You Getting a Giraffe? 1:42 Are you going to get a giraffe at some point? I 1:46 Think I'm just 1:48 The whole getting to go visit them 1:50 It's like having a niece when you don't want to have kids of your own 1:53 You just you know, you cuddle them you love them and then you just hand them off 1:57 I get to go visit it and then I don't have to 2:00 Build gigantic buildings for them and I don't even 2:03 think you could in Tennessee like that's Texas is wild 2:06 You can have like anything in Texas. So no kind of related to that Dream Animal Interaction? 2:11 But it says what is your dream animal interaction without consequence? 2:17 So like any animal if it wasn't dangerous 2:21 I want to I just want to like like swim with and snuggle a 2:26 Sea cow so bad what a manatee manatee 2:30 It's not allowed and they're so sweet 2:32 You can swim with them though. 2:33 I think there's like one spot you're allowed to 2:36 You're not supposed to touch them because they're so friendly 2:38 That then they get hurt by boats and stuff So I want to unashamedly be able to 2:43 Just like go give them love and swim with them 2:46 The sea cow. 2:48 Which is so funny. 2:50 I think it's an inherited thing because my great grandmother 2:54 Used to live in florida and she like loved manatees 2:57 And she had this manatee that would come to her spot near her house 3:00 and she'd go feed it and stuff and she 3:04 I have a gold manatee necklace that I wear sometimes 3:06 that she gave to me. 3:07 That's cool. 3:08 Yeah. 3:09 Manatee lore. 3:10 Would you ever consider having llamas? 3:13 Llamas, mm. 3:14 I had friends with llamas, 3:15 and so they told me all the bad, 3:17 and now I'm like a little gun shy of llamas. 3:20 Like I'm very much into the low maintenance 3:24 of the like, like horses are very high maintenance. 3:28 Cows, the way we do it, 3:29 is seemingly high maintenance a lot of the time. 3:31 Like when it comes to my goats 3:33 and like the animals that I keep at my farm, 3:36 I like to, of course I want to take care of them, 3:38 but I want like low maintenance. 3:40 So like llamas and sheep and all that good stuff, 3:42 they have to be like shorn, they spit at you. 3:46 They have like health issues that I just don't know 3:49 if I'm willing to like commit to. 3:50 So I don't know, probably not. 3:54 Right now, I say that. 3:57 We'll see. 3:58 From the YouTube video of us going to see Denver, Denver and Happy Foal? 4:05 a lot of people had ideas for babies, 4:08 and someone said they would love to see a Denver 4:10 in Happyful. 4:13 What do you think about that? 4:15 So I think genetically it would be okay. 4:18 Like I would not breed Happy to Code Red 4:20 because they're just so close. 4:22 I think it's far enough removed 4:25 that I could breed her to Denver. 4:28 So I think it all depends on if she's gonna be needed 4:31 as a re-sip because like if it came between a Happyful 4:36 and like a Trudyful or a like, you know, 4:40 if I got an embryo from somebody full 4:41 that was like really, really good producing mayor, 4:45 it's like I'd probably choose that over Happy 4:47 since Happy doesn't have any foals that are, 4:50 you know, Howie's her first one. 4:52 So she doesn't have any that have gone in one. 4:54 She herself didn't, you know, show a lot. 4:57 So it all depends on, I guess, the certain circumstances, 5:03 but I'm not opposed to her having a Denver foal. 5:06 I think that'd probably be pretty cute. 5:08 Someone also said Denver and Earline. 5:11 Yes, that's already planned. 5:12 That's planned. 5:13 Next year, Denver, you know, 5:16 we're gonna collect him this November. 5:18 The plan is to breed him to Annie, Earline, Trudy, 5:23 and I'm not opposed to breeding him 5:26 to some of my thoroughbreds. 5:27 Like I, you know, depending on if we can get registration 5:30 going with Charlotte or Indy, I don't know. 5:32 We'll see where that goes. 5:33 But eventually as well, the Buck Skinned Mayor 5:36 that's not even here yet, you know, 5:38 I hope to do Ixie with her so we could do a little bit 5:41 of a Code Red and Denver. Is Denver Leaving Texas? 5:43 So Denver's gonna get bred to quite a few 5:45 of the mayors for sure. 5:47 Is Denver going to be coming to the farm 5:49 since you want to show him or will he stay in Texas? 5:52 Isn't it hard to know you own a stallion as great as Whalen 5:55 but don't get to see him every day? 5:57 So they're both staying in Texas until further notice. 6:02 But like with Denver, I want him to be able to go show, 6:07 be successful, and then go on to be collected pretty quickly. 6:11 And he needs to be in Texas for that because he, 6:15 regardless if he's with Aaron Moses now 6:17 and then goes on to someone else to do the trail 6:19 or the western riding, it's gonna be in Texas. 6:21 It's gonna be close to High Point. 6:23 I would like Aaron to continue to work with him. 6:24 And then be collected by High Point. 6:27 So that all, he needs to be close with them. 6:29 Whalen, I don't want to A, stress him out. 6:32 That's a long frickin' drive from Texas to Tennessee. 6:38 The liability's crazy. 6:40 And then B, they just have it such, they have it locked down. 6:46 They've got it going on there. 6:48 It's so easy. 6:49 I know he's taken care of. 6:51 They can offer him things I can't. 6:53 So yes, I would like to be able to see him all the time, 6:56 but we'll do that in retirement. Bridgerton Colin Fan? 7:00 Okay, completely off topic. 7:03 What do you think of the latest season of Bridgerton? 7:05 Are you a Colin fan? 7:07 Okay, but let me say this. 7:09 I haven't finished the last episode. 7:11 You can't ruin this. 7:12 So don't say anything that would ruin everything. 7:16 I have to be able to. 7:18 Okay, go ahead. So I'm gonna be-- 7:19 Go ahead. 7:20 I mean, I feel like I already know what's gonna happen. 7:22 So you're like, "Hey, I'm gonna ask you this question, 7:24 but I haven't watched it, so you can't-- 7:26 Well, you don't have to spoil the last episode 7:28 to say if you're a Colin fan. 7:29 Basically. 7:31 (laughing) 7:31 Am I a Colin fan? 7:33 He's not my favorite, he's not my least favorite, I guess. 7:37 Kind of going back to the hobby question What TV Shows Do You Watch? 7:42 in the first video. 7:44 Besides Bridgerton, what other kind of shows 7:48 do you like to watch? 7:49 I'm very fantasy or period time. 7:53 So like, Bridgerton is up my alley 7:55 because it's not super serious, 7:56 but it's like in the Regency period. 7:59 I really like TV shows that are not in today's age. 8:04 Like if it's before, if it's after the 90s, 8:07 I'm like, "I don't really wanna watch it, I don't know why." 8:09 So I love that kind of stuff. 8:10 So like, fantasy, Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, 8:13 all that good stuff. 8:15 I love historical dramas, so I loved Vikings 8:18 and things like that. 8:20 I don't really love to watch any of the Love Island 8:23 and stuff like that. 8:24 That just cringes me out too hard. 8:26 So I like there to be a really juicy plot, long episodes. 8:33 Yeah. 8:33 You love Twilight, you love-- 8:35 Loved Twilight. 8:36 Harry Potter. 8:36 Yeah. 8:38 Lord of the Rings. Yep. 8:41 Yep, lots of fantasy, lots of... 8:44 There's gotta be like a romance in the plot for me. 8:47 If it's not a comedy, 8:48 I could do without romance if it's a comedy, 8:51 but like there needs to be a little spice. 8:53 there's gotta be some spice there's gotta be some historicalness to it 8:56 Where I can't relate to it at all But it's like ahh 8:59 I don't want to relate to anything In the things I'm watching, you know what I'm saying 9:04 You're like an interviewer. 9:06 I'm trying my best. 9:08 [Laughter] 9:09 There does need to be a camera on her facial expressions. 9:12 We need to have Abigail. 9:14 We kind of sprung this on her today. 9:15 We were like, "Oh yeah." 9:16 And you're going to be like, "In these videos asking the questions." What's Your 5 Year Plan? 9:18 And she's like, "Oh, okay." 9:21 [Laughter] 9:22 What's your five-year plan or goal for Running Springs and your mini farm? 9:29 Umm I do think we're growing a little bit to the point where more land is needed 9:36 Umm I don't know if it's gonna be within 5 years, but I do see us moving at some point 9:41 At least the mini farm To a bigger farm. 9:45 I would love to build a house umm but I 9:50 I don't know I think it's gonna be I'm just kind of letting it fold wherever it may 9:55 I don't wanna necessarily put a I want this to happen at this point 9:59 The more I let things just happen The better they are 10:03 Whenever I plan something it just doesn't end up going as well as if I just let it happen 10:08 So I definitely still want to be doing what I'm doing now, but I don't know UK Meet and Greet? 10:15 See what happens? 10:16 Yeah. 10:17 Would you ever go to the UK to do a meet and greet? 10:20 To specifically do a meet and greet Probably not 10:25 Nate's back there being like "ugh" 10:28 I know, that's why I asked, 10:28 because I was like, I want to go. 10:32 (laughing) I think it'd be cool to go there for, 10:37 like if we had a really cool collaboration 10:39 with like another equine content creator, 10:42 and then we go over there and I don't know, 10:45 I don't even, I literally don't have anyone in my brain 10:47 when I'm thinking of that. 10:48 I think it'd be cool to have an excuse to go over there 10:52 and then maybe do that, 10:53 but I don't think I could justify going there 10:56 just to do a meet and greet. 10:58 We'd have to have something else in the works. 11:01 Okay. 11:02 Hit, hit, tell me who you want. Top 5 Breeding Stallions? 11:04 (laughing) 11:04 Let's get it going. 11:06 (laughing) 11:07 Okay, this just says, 11:07 Okay, this just says, 11:07 In your opinion, apart from obviously Denver and Code Red, 11:11 who are, for you, the top five stallions 11:17 that you would breed to? 11:19 For me. 11:19 So this is specifically for me, my mares, 11:22 and this is current stallions. 11:24 This isn't like who I'd want to breed to if I could. 11:26 This is current stallions. 11:28 Oh, this is gonna get me in trouble 11:30 because if I don't put someone's, 11:33 cause I don't, there's like, there's hunt seat stallions, 11:36 there's all around stallions, 11:37 there's Western pleasure stallions. 11:38 Just like for your mares, 11:40 who do you think would make the best match? 11:43 So I really, really love Good, Better, Best. 11:46 I can't say any like more good things 11:49 about Good, Better, Best, 11:50 which is why I keep breeding to him. 11:51 So he's Hank Sire, he's Daphne Sire, 11:54 he's bred to Sophie this year, 11:56 tried to breed him to Trudy and it wasn't his fault. 11:59 The receipts just kept, you know, not cooperating. 12:02 So love Good, Better, Best. 12:04 I might have to take a second here for just a minute. 12:10 Okay, I will say there's something special. 12:15 Now he did die last year, unfortunately, 12:17 but he's, I think he's still able 12:19 to be bred to a little bit. 12:20 Allocate Your Assets to me is such a statement 12:25 in the hunter under saddle world. 12:26 You can literally look at a horse and be like, 12:28 that one's sired by Allocate Your Assets. 12:30 Like he is just, has something about him in his trot, 12:34 in his cadence, like, it's just, 12:36 you can just see him from a mile away. 12:38 So I love Allocate Your Assets. 12:39 That's why I bred Trudy to him. 12:41 And I'm so grateful I did, cause we got Penelope. 12:43 So, and then he's also the sire of, 12:47 I have too many horses. 12:50 He's also the sire of Erlene. 12:52 So love him, love him, love him. 12:53 So those are, okay, those are my two hunter under saddle picks 12:56 for right now. 12:58 I could say Easy on the Eyes, 12:59 cause Easy on the Eyes is an up and coming guy. 13:03 I did two, I don't know if I can do that. 13:06 Okay. 13:06 There's too many. 13:07 The question technically was up and coming, 13:09 but I just kind of changed it a little to who. 13:11 But up and coming as well. 13:13 Up and coming. 13:14 So Easy on the Eyes is like an amazing up and coming hunter 13:16 to Saddle Stallion. 13:17 I love him. 13:18 His babies have had like really, really good minds. 13:21 He's only had a few show, like, 13:23 he had one win the Congress like a million times last year. 13:25 Easy peasy. 13:26 And so like, he's fantastic. 13:28 I bred him to Ethel. 13:29 I plan to breed him to a couple of my measures in the future. 13:32 Like he's awesome. 13:33 And he's also kind of an out cross with his bloodlines 13:36 because we are so saturated with like a few studs 13:38 in our mares that he's a really good one to bring in. 13:46 There's one stud that I really, really want to breed to. 13:48 And I want to breed him to Annie in the future. 13:50 He's gray and his name is Unbridle Your Dreams. 13:53 Now he's really young. 13:55 So we haven't seen a whole lot of his babies yet. 13:58 He's by I'm a Platinum Dream 14:01 who just passed away I think a couple of years ago. 14:03 And so he's one I really want to watch 14:06 because I really like what I'm seeing with him showing, 14:09 but like, I don't know what his babies are doing yet. 14:13 And you know, and then I think another one 14:15 that I'm gonna throw in there is making me really wild 14:18 just because, you know, there for a little while he was new. 14:23 He had a lot of babies coming out 14:26 and he himself was just throwing these like 14:28 incredible front legs on his babies. 14:30 And now we are seeing as his babies get older, 14:33 they have an incredible talent in the all around 14:36 as well as the Western pleasure and stuff. 14:38 So he's got a really, really cool thing going. 14:41 So I really like making me really wild too. 14:43 And I have not been able to breed to him yet. 14:45 I tried possibly with Beyonce and possibly with Annie, 14:48 but it just didn't work out. 14:49 So was that five? 14:51 I think that was five. 14:52 That doesn't mean that was my only five favorites. 14:54 Like there's so many others, but off the top of my head, 14:57 those are the ones that I really like 14:58 think are cool right now. Does Your Head Hang Low? 15:01 So this is kind of like a show question. 15:04 It says, when did and why have quarter horses 15:08 started carrying their heads so low? 15:11 So the low head thing, 15:14 and you have to watch trends over the years, 15:18 there's definitely, there was definitely a trend 15:20 of them being way too low. 15:21 So now there's a rule where they can't, you know, 15:24 there's like a certain level they have to be 15:26 to be qualified. 15:27 So when you watch the really high levels 15:30 of the Western pleasure nowadays, 15:32 like at the world show and the Congress, 15:33 the head isn't that low. 15:35 Some of them are above level, honestly, 15:37 and it's really allowing for that front end to be light. 15:40 But when you go to maybe some lower level shows, 15:43 when you maybe look at like some younger kids showing 15:47 that, you know, possibly don't have the leg strength 15:49 or the knowledge to show their horse to the best potential, 15:52 or you look at some horses that just can't 15:55 be really light in the front end 15:56 because that's just not how they're made. 15:58 You might get the, you might be like, 16:00 oh, that's, you know, that's the standard then. 16:04 But when you really look at the highest level, 16:08 it is difficult to be slow collected with your head up, 16:12 like with your head level or above level, 16:14 to be that collected on a drape is actually so hard. 16:17 So a lot of people go to low heads for control 16:21 and for collection, because when that neck goes down, 16:23 it's a lot easier to bring that back up. 16:25 But anyway, we could get into that for a long time. 16:27 But I think the head being down does give a larger level 16:31 of control and collection, but it doesn't always look pretty 16:35 when it's not done right. 16:36 And sometimes it is definitely overdone. Who Are the New Barn Gals? 16:40 This isn't really a question, 16:43 but a lot of people want to know who the new barn gals are 16:46 that just started popping up. 16:47 The new barn gals. 16:48 We need to do an introduction video. 16:51 So that's Rachel and Alyssa. 16:53 So we had one of our long time barn guys 16:56 move to a different job at the beginning of the year, 17:00 and we miss him greatly. 17:01 He was amazing, but we did have to fill in his spot. 17:04 And because of how many new babies we had 17:06 and how much stuff we have going on, 17:08 we decided to have two new people. 17:10 And so Rachel started to kind of help me 17:13 keep track with the vet. 17:15 She's been riding a few of the horses. 17:17 She has been doing a lot of the, 17:19 like with Penelope and the babies, 17:21 desensitizing them, washing them, 17:23 doing a lot more hands-on stuff with the babies 17:25 and just kind of helping me keep an eye on 17:28 things that need to be done, that kind of thing. 17:29 So basically like barn management. 17:31 And Alyssa came in as another person to clean stalls, 17:35 take care of horses, feed, 17:37 and kind of do whatever is needed to be done 17:39 to keep the barn running. 17:41 So now the barn staff is Gerardo and Alyssa and Rachel. Makeup Tutorials? 17:47 The people want makeup tutorials. 17:50 Which is so funny, 17:51 because that's like what I used to do. 17:53 If you were an OG and you remember like 2017 Instagram, 17:58 I would be in my closet at my parents' house 18:01 doing like lives constantly. 18:02 And you did like the makeup, 18:04 people's makeup at like horses, 18:06 or horses, horse shows and stuff. 18:08 Yeah, like that's what I wanted to do as a career. 18:10 I wanted to be a makeup artist. 18:12 And so I was doing Quintiniers every five seconds. 18:14 I was doing people's maternity makeup, 18:18 because I had a bunch of friends, 18:18 like getting, you know, having babies 18:20 and getting married and whatever. 18:21 And then I would go to horse shows 18:22 and I would do horse show makeup at the big stuff. 18:25 And then it just got to the point where at the time 18:30 I was asked to be a host for a TV show. 18:34 And so I was traveling for that a lot 18:36 and I couldn't book out makeup jobs 18:40 because I knew I was gonna be flaky 18:42 because I had like so many cool like trips popping up 18:45 that didn't give me a whole lot of time 18:47 to like plan far ahead. 18:48 So I stopped doing that. 18:50 But yeah, we could bring back some. 18:52 Nate, are you gonna, you wanna film some makeup tutorials? 18:56 I need to do Abigail's makeup on camera. 18:58 He can do your eyeliner. 18:59 Oh God. 19:02 What if we did a video where I do Nate and Matt's makeup? 19:07 That'd be funny. 19:08 I think Matt would for sure be down. 19:11 I have an old, it's archived. 19:13 It's not deleted, it's archived. 19:15 I have an old video on YouTube of Jonathan doing my makeup. 19:19 How bad was it? 19:20 It was pretty rough. 19:22 This gets 20,000 likes. 19:25 This gets 20,000 likes will drop. 19:28 Nate and Matt's YouTube makeup tutorial. Hardest Part of Your Job? 19:32 What is the hardest part of this job? 19:36 The hardest part of this job. 19:39 So I guess you could encompass in this job 19:42 the content creation, content management, store management, 19:48 breeding the horses and care of all the animals. 19:52 The hardest part is keeping it all straight. 19:55 Cause there's so many things. 19:57 I literally in the last year have had to hire so many people 20:00 or like, you know, reach out to so many more people for help. 20:03 I mean, that's, I mean, you coming on has helped me immensely. 20:07 I mean, I literally was like, you were gone for four days. 20:09 You're not allowed to do that. 20:11 I need to work here. 20:12 You didn't like Jonathan as my replacement. 20:14 I told her, I was like, you were gone for four days. 20:17 Jonathan had to step up and be in your place 20:20 and he gives me a whole lot more lip 20:21 than you do and he's not as good at it. 20:23 And I don't like him. 20:24 So I don't like him being you. 20:30 So yeah, it's keeping, because there's just so many 20:33 different irons and so many fires that all come into 20:36 like one thing, keeping everything straight in my brain 20:39 without like feeling like I'm going to go on overload 20:43 is really, really hard. 20:45 Like I, you literally can know right now, 20:48 you can tell when we haven't had like a break day 20:51 or like whatever, cause I start not being able to talk 20:54 cause there's just so much going on. Outro 20:57 So, all right, we're done. 21:00 Hey, what are we doing? 21:01 We're done. 21:04 (laughing) 21:06 But anyway, hope you all enjoyed that. 21:08 And if you have any other questions for future videos, 21:11 let us know and thank you for joining us. 21:14 So see you in the next one.
