[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_00]: Hello, and welcome the Forty-K-Lorecast with me, John Barsani and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy caught off the presses of an orc trifecta. [SPEAKER_00]: We've decided to do a little tease of what's to come with, uh, with Eldar by doing kind of a, we're not going to jump headlong into Eldar after doing orcs because we're just going to get tired. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, and also, don't want to blow our love this early. [SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like a lot of, a lot of everything. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of everything. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of everything. [SPEAKER_01]: So, sixty-five million years to be precise. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so for those of you who don't know Brad, very well, Brad's favorite faction is... Oh, sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That can't sound. [SPEAKER_00]: Has been forever. [SPEAKER_01]: I have played them since third edition, and I've been psycho about the lore. [SPEAKER_01]: It's how I got into lore. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: I got into the game, sorry, because of the lore. [SPEAKER_01]: Talk to about this before. [SPEAKER_01]: In Elder, I love Elder because... [SPEAKER_01]: Eldar are so enigmatic. [SPEAKER_01]: They have ridiculous horrible problems, but they also reach the pinnacle of greatness, and they also meet the depths of despair and failure. [SPEAKER_01]: They've been both. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I would also point out that for those people that are competitively, they also tend to always be the most broken faction every edition. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's not that. [SPEAKER_01]: That hasn't ever happened. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like someone's going to hit me through the internet. [SPEAKER_00]: Before this, Eldar are an amazing faction. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually also want them. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually do think, and I will say that coming off an Orc cast, I think playing Eldar and Orcs is a really great way to enjoy the game because you kind of learn both styles very, very quickly, and they have two very enjoyable styles. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: With Hammer, Eldar are dancing around the darkness around the start in the darkness. [SPEAKER_00]: Hope no one sees you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: And they hit you with a super sharp scalpel. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, incredible out of nowhere. [SPEAKER_00]: You didn't even start coming. [SPEAKER_00]: They are the ninjas and the orcs are well, they are. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and one of the things is that I do want to go into what the differences between elder and humans are superficial and first glance. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, let's start there then. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's go into kind of the idea this cast is to take us from [SPEAKER_00]: A quick back on the Eldar and take us from the rise of the Eldar under the post-old ones up through right about the thirtieth millennia. [SPEAKER_00]: And we'll leave it in a fast. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we were like sixty five sixty four point nine million. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean easy piece. [SPEAKER_00]: He looks like I'll have to cover it in a quick quick hour. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, this is an hour maybe forty five minutes at the same time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll start with it, but probably just touching on what is an Eldar. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing is, elders are very at first glance. [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like a thin athletic human. [SPEAKER_01]: But then you get quick divergence. [SPEAKER_01]: One, you go with what the Imperium has said in the, in different fluff in the lore. [SPEAKER_01]: Eldar are actually disconcerting to be around for humans because their movements are all too precise too fast. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like interview with the vampire vampires where they just keep doing things and their movements are just too fast to precise to everything for humans. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's because they were made to be that way because let's go into what they are. [SPEAKER_01]: They were uplifted by the old ones and I'll go back into that in a second. [SPEAKER_01]: But the other are made to be [SPEAKER_01]: OCD, hold my beer. [SPEAKER_01]: Eldar have OCD. [SPEAKER_01]: Eldar only focus on one thing at a time. [SPEAKER_01]: And I make it the front of this all the time because you have, we ended up with aspect wars and things of that. [SPEAKER_01]: They get so focused on a certain type of fighting, a certain type of anything, knowledge, it's casting. [SPEAKER_01]: knowledge of the warp of everything else, how to do things. [SPEAKER_01]: But they also have people that are craftsmen that spend their entire time going, I'm going to make the best doughnut. [SPEAKER_01]: They get people that are, they're insane though. [SPEAKER_01]: It was something. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he spent, he spent something and they also spend a thousand years doing that something. [SPEAKER_01]: They're craftsmen make [SPEAKER_01]: artwork where they live is pure art that is functional but they also do that war in learning and knowledge and their leaders in psychic. [SPEAKER_00]: Well you even said it earlier but you know it's it's disconcerting for humans to be around them. [SPEAKER_00]: The Eldar in that sixty four million years between the fall of the old ones they were around before that so this is probably a hundred million year species versus human beings which are a [SPEAKER_00]: They were already spaced. [SPEAKER_00]: They perfected things like walking, which sounds like a stupid thing. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is when you read the fuck to talk about this, when an elder walks, the way that they walk is so perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: It actually is creepy because they've had millions of years to confess their steps are all exactly the same [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, same distance, exact same distance as the way that the heel to toe ratio, everything about it is, it's, everything is this every, they're all psychos of the fact. [SPEAKER_01]: So everyone does that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not one guy does this. [SPEAKER_00]: They, they, this became the only way to walk. [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's, it is, they do everything they do is the exact best way you could possibly do it, which is repeat a C. [SPEAKER_01]: And also the thing is, is that we also have to look at the elder that we see now and we'll go into this a little bit more and we'll go a little bit after. [SPEAKER_01]: But we now see only the extremes of elder, which is left, we'll get into that in just how it happened. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's have a look where they came from. [SPEAKER_01]: So as Brad said, we'll go back real quick though, the elder are psychic we infuse. [SPEAKER_01]: They were already a psychic race when the old ones [SPEAKER_01]: I guess they already knew that they existed, but they went, we need help. [SPEAKER_01]: We need, we're in a, we're in a scrap right now. [SPEAKER_00]: There's actually no situation. [SPEAKER_00]: We have stories of the Necrons and how the Necrons are the Necrons. [SPEAKER_00]: The Necron tier came into being and met with the old ones. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't have this for elders. [SPEAKER_00]: No, the old are just kind of were under the old ones. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all we know. [SPEAKER_01]: We just know that they got juiced up, but we know that they created the orcs, and then they basically took the alder and went, oh, cool. [SPEAKER_01]: A race that is very magic oriented, psychically, um, to basically infused the genetically already. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't have time to do anything else. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's just juice that up. [SPEAKER_01]: They basically gave the alder PDs on psychics and went psychic and went [SPEAKER_01]: Go. [SPEAKER_00]: Go get him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And also we need you to fight this super powerful star gods and also these pseudo robot. [SPEAKER_01]: Super robot not robots. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, we're losing. [SPEAKER_01]: So you need to do something about this now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll also do that. [SPEAKER_00]: And then later on, there's these things that are eating us out of the webware and enslaving us. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you also kill them off too? [SPEAKER_01]: Right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, you need to kill them. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, watch out because they might mind slavery. [SPEAKER_00]: They're also going for you, too. [SPEAKER_00]: But we're jumping out of it. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's roll back to the old one. [SPEAKER_00]: So we had old ones, create them. [SPEAKER_00]: The interesting thing about the elder, which kind of story I like about them is the old ones didn't [SPEAKER_00]: create them for war. [SPEAKER_00]: And initially, they were actually made for poetry. [SPEAKER_00]: They were made for poetry. [SPEAKER_01]: No, they're, they're poet. [SPEAKER_01]: They're supposed to be the best, when the thing is is that you're, you're saying, make them, you know, uplift them to be the best of your, all your things. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: The old ones were creators. [SPEAKER_01]: But they were creators trying to be in harmony with the universe kind of thing. [SPEAKER_01]: And they saw the elder as these are going to be the greatest of the builders, of the poets, of the craftsmen, of the artisans. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they went, oh crap, we're getting attacked and went, yeah, remember that the first plan? [SPEAKER_01]: do that, but do it with guns and swords. [SPEAKER_01]: And psychic attacks. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, but we were gonna basically do poetry and build the best and the finest and the most uplifting things in the universe. [SPEAKER_01]: They went, yeah, talk, talk, talk. [SPEAKER_01]: We're getting shot at. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna, let's talk you talking more shooting shooting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's go. [SPEAKER_01]: So we had a huge divergence in, you are gonna be the artisans and the craftsmen and the poets of the universe. [SPEAKER_01]: And also now, [SPEAKER_01]: enough one with the universe. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to be one with the gun. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: We need you to go kill all of these things. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Some of them are star gods. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that weird? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: We're also losing terribly right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So at the time they were, they were getting rolled. [SPEAKER_00]: What ends up and Brad and I were discussing this before we started. [SPEAKER_00]: When it's kind of setting that the elder down a path of destruction is though the old ones [SPEAKER_00]: though they were turning the tide against the C. Tan and the Necrons, the arrival of the enslavers created a huge problem because the old ones just suddenly lost. [SPEAKER_00]: The enslavers, even though the war they were winning, the enslavers did it. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the enslavers removed the old ones for the kind of legacy. [SPEAKER_01]: Kind of in the thing and because they never know exactly what happened with that. [SPEAKER_00]: The inslavers got beat back. [SPEAKER_01]: The inslavers did that. [SPEAKER_01]: The inslavers didn't kind of win away, but the inslavers still exist. [SPEAKER_01]: The old ones just kind of win away. [SPEAKER_01]: But the problem is is that the old ones remember the old ones were unlimited in tapping into the warp, but they never affected it. [SPEAKER_01]: They just kept it a serene lake. [SPEAKER_01]: What the problem is is that they have this race that was [SPEAKER_01]: already tapping into the warp just by innately. [SPEAKER_01]: They knew it existed, but they all were connected to the warp. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to basically do this. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to make them more powerful. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to increase their connection to the warp because we want them to have more power because they need to be able to fight. [SPEAKER_01]: So they did this, but then they didn't teach them, oh yeah, what you shouldn't do is this and then they were gone, which is, oh yeah, all of your actions, all of your thoughts. [SPEAKER_01]: have consequences in the war because now you are forever. [SPEAKER_01]: Every descendant of yours is forever tied to the war. [SPEAKER_01]: Everything you do has consequences in the war because we wanted you to be again the artist is in poet so you are forever going to be [SPEAKER_01]: putting perfection, harmony, philosophic, will thoughts into the world. [SPEAKER_00]: They were race made for use of bad reference. [SPEAKER_00]: They were a race made for good that was turned to a race made for destruction. [SPEAKER_00]: Whether they wanted to be or not, that's what happened. [SPEAKER_00]: And the issue is, I don't think the old ones ever really conceived of what would happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what if we lost? [SPEAKER_00]: the L-DAR in the quirk, and the joke roll will do an episode on later, continue doing without us. [SPEAKER_00]: What happens without direction is we cover the last episode with Orcs, what happens with Orcs, we're giving the order out. [SPEAKER_01]: And the answer is, shit went down. [SPEAKER_00]: Bad. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is what ends up, so the old ones are just gone, luckily the Necrons aside turn the C-Tanner on the same time. [SPEAKER_00]: So then looking up, seeing the L-DAR, the Necrons just going to hiding. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is just the L-DAR, [SPEAKER_00]: the joke or who are never mentioned, by the way, ever, anything I can refine until much later, and the crook. [SPEAKER_00]: So the elder just kind of look at the crook and go, no, and push them off the side of the galaxy luckily. [SPEAKER_01]: We're not losing to, you know, you can do. [SPEAKER_01]: We can also do, but we're not you. [SPEAKER_00]: The downside is the crook has been over and the orcas never beaten. [SPEAKER_00]: So you can push them back, but the second you give a space. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: In the elder. [SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy punching the tide. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing is that the elder, well, let's go back up just a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: The Necron is trying to take on the contend. [SPEAKER_01]: They think, hey, we've won this fight, but there's a lot of elder. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a bunch of horse. [SPEAKER_01]: There's, and they go, we're going to take this time to turn because we think it's the only time we're going to get, because there's still fighting going on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the Necron's turn on the C-tand, the middle of the war. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They attack Russia in the winter. [SPEAKER_00]: And these differences, but unlike that they actually won though, they actually did defeat the CTAN. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, but they took such horrific losses that they literally looked over and went, oh, in the time because it took a long time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: In the time that we've been doing this, those guys that were the helpers of the old ones are now a galactic civilization. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we can't do it. [SPEAKER_00]: Extremely well-armed. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's them. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're less old. [SPEAKER_00]: They've been doing too. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Necrons just at this point disappear. [SPEAKER_00]: So the altar are looking around. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's no Necrons. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no C-ten. [SPEAKER_00]: The cork they knock out first. [SPEAKER_00]: That's it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the entire galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: And the last thing that the out that the note I had point out was that Brad touched the Sawyer. [SPEAKER_00]: The old ones did warn the altar. [SPEAKER_00]: of saying, hey, you got to follow the original path we gave you. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't follow the your primal instincts, but much like the emperor with the primar didn't explain why, just says don't do it. [SPEAKER_01]: And nothing happened. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to do about sixty four million years, very, very quickly. [SPEAKER_00]: But as you can imagine, things get forgotten. [SPEAKER_00]: So the first thing that that that that they all are going to do is they begin to conquer the stars. [SPEAKER_00]: And they laughably do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's nothing to stop them. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not only that it's just most of the races that are going to be anybody you don't exist and the races that we don't know about just like the two purge legions, they just rick roll them and just move on with their lives because they're so numerous and technologically and psychic because remember no one else is using psychic powers besides them. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the org's always don't realize it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm saying, but besides the orgs themselves, no one else is even tapping into this warp thing. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're just psychically attacking anybody they meet and going, yeah, I had a gun. [SPEAKER_01]: I had a sword and then Ted's mind blew up and I didn't know I didn't know what a brace for a mind explosion. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the elder, what I would say is it's off really great. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, they for a little bit, and I say a little bit, it's sixty million years. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they create a society of more than it's sixty three million. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they create a society for a long time of no one wants anything. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is a big deal because all the art of today do not use any of this forbidden for a reason. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, much of the darker technology for mankind, so that they view this era as being don't do this fall. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: which is elder, legit, like, orch, do it accidentally. [SPEAKER_01]: Elder make with, because they, they're there in harmony. [SPEAKER_01]: Everything that elder does that's mechanical, isn't quite mechanical. [SPEAKER_01]: It is actually, there's war better. [SPEAKER_01]: There's war better genet. [SPEAKER_01]: They make things out of the rathbone, but it's all. [SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's sung into existence. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But they, they live in harmony. [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to do it off elves in fantasy, where they live in nature. [SPEAKER_01]: They make things from [SPEAKER_01]: existing. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, and we can also call this out that, you know, forty k is the, is the predecessor of the fantasy. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the, the Eldar or one of the first races at end, in the game, Eldar or X-Man-Kan Kaya. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's supposed to be the elves of, yeah, of old Nordic times. [SPEAKER_00]: These all line up with. [SPEAKER_01]: They're the Elysium elves. [SPEAKER_01]: They live in harmony. [SPEAKER_01]: They make things because they exist. [SPEAKER_01]: But elves for millions of years have a society where [SPEAKER_01]: You can will anything you want into existence. [SPEAKER_01]: And I mean anything. [SPEAKER_00]: And they do this. [SPEAKER_00]: They start off with the web ways. [SPEAKER_00]: What they do is the web ways work and built by the old ones. [SPEAKER_00]: And the elder took that. [SPEAKER_00]: And the way I'd like to describe it is the old ones built the Roman roads, which any of us who've been to Europe or closer to who live in Europe have probably walked on driven on whatever a Roman road. [SPEAKER_00]: Romans built good roads, but there weren't that many of them. [SPEAKER_00]: And the elder took that and made that like the US highway. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they made it super hot. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just worshiped. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: Name it and they are everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: So now, as they as they elder conquer a new world, they build new web ways to connect those worlds. [SPEAKER_01]: So they get instantaneous travel. [SPEAKER_01]: You have instantaneous travel to anywhere you want, period in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_01]: And also, you will things into existence. [SPEAKER_01]: So as soon as you conquer a world, you just make whatever you want there. [SPEAKER_00]: And that world becomes a garden world overnight. [SPEAKER_00]: But one thing this is going to come up later is they also took the web ways and took them up quite if you're not just they actually began to build cities. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on. [SPEAKER_00]: We need one. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to put this out. [SPEAKER_01]: We say city and you think, oh, it's a city. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's a limitless expanse of interdimensional areas. [SPEAKER_01]: It's, you're like, city, I live in Toledo. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a small city. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a city. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just Toledo. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just saying, you look at that and you go, hey, man, what I'm actually saying is I have an Atlantic Ocean-sized property. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's things everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean by that? [SPEAKER_00]: I can be an outlater, but I'm trying to imagine what the Toledo of the Webway would look like. [SPEAKER_01]: It's still the dark thing. [SPEAKER_00]: It's still the dark thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Even if you're carry not go there. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the bad part of the door. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, I made it that out, but I'd probably won't. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's a big deal on this because they are, this is a big thing, and this isn't a, are they older or the best? [SPEAKER_01]: But you have to look at it from the elder mentality of, elder are the kings of the universe for them. [SPEAKER_01]: We are untouchable. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't, there's nobody that could possibly do anything ever to us. [SPEAKER_01]: That is the mindset of a race of people that gets, I mean, and what we call, we don't want to touch us. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's really dig into it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not talking, [SPEAKER_00]: They, when mankind expanded into the stars, they would hit, you know, we look at imperial history, they would hit on your random dude civilization and they beat it, but they thought to work at it. [SPEAKER_00]: The elder would just show up and there'd be some of the, hey, no, and they go, they're gone. [SPEAKER_00]: They're gone. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Stop a thing or they're gone. [SPEAKER_01]: Next level technology, they just don't even think that these people exist. [SPEAKER_01]: And that is kind of sets the way for, I love that we put pleasure goals. [SPEAKER_01]: But the problem with, you go ultimate power ultimately corrupts. [SPEAKER_01]: And the problem is, is that Elder took this to the next level, which is, if you were born into life, and you say, how long do I live, kind of forever? [SPEAKER_00]: Effectively forever. [SPEAKER_01]: And also anything I think becomes real. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is how I live from day one. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, at one point, by the not only do I live forever, but when I die, I reincarnate. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So I am effectively immortal. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm already long lived, but I'm also effectively immortal. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that you were born into this, I am the most powerful thing. [SPEAKER_00]: in my, that I know that exist, but I do very, you are them. [SPEAKER_00]: My, my, my, my, my name doesn't exist. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because my, also my wins become real. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm. [SPEAKER_01]: Cool. [SPEAKER_01]: What am I doing for excitement? [SPEAKER_01]: What is going to make me, remember, we are also a crazy OCD race, a perfectionist. [SPEAKER_01]: What is going to stimulate me? [SPEAKER_01]: What do I want to be the best at? [SPEAKER_01]: What do I want to perfection with that? [SPEAKER_01]: And you started to get elder cults that went, I'm bored. [SPEAKER_01]: My OCD is, I want to be the best at seeking new things. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's dive in at the really hard looks. [SPEAKER_00]: I think this is this is something that needs to be driven down. [SPEAKER_00]: We talk about what happens to the older. [SPEAKER_00]: These are a species that were uplifted to be creative. [SPEAKER_00]: They were uplifted to be like questioning all these wonderful features. [SPEAKER_00]: And in sixty something million years, they're also incredibly powerful. [SPEAKER_00]: They just solve all of their hardships. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's nothing to be creative about because you everything that you could be creative about is already been small. [SPEAKER_00]: There's like you have unlimited and we think about what we all would make all of us happy in this world at a basic level. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, I want food. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: That's sweet. [SPEAKER_00]: I can connect with my mind. [SPEAKER_00]: I need shelter. [SPEAKER_00]: Make that with my mind. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I want to read books. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you live forever. [SPEAKER_00]: Every book you ever want to read is available for you. [SPEAKER_00]: When you read so fast, you have almost unlimited amount of knowledge. [SPEAKER_00]: There isn't this, there's just no you lose want. [SPEAKER_01]: So you also lose need, which is what also propels people to be the best in something. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I have a drive to be perfect. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: And right now, you told me there's no reason to do anything because I'm all right. [SPEAKER_00]: You're already our perfect, but I need to be perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: You are perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a weird problem in place to be. [SPEAKER_00]: And now I have a theory on this and it's just a pure theories. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually think [SPEAKER_00]: this was the work of the Koscots. [SPEAKER_00]: I think this is actually z-inch primarily. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I think this is, when you read through the code axis and you read through the stories, the L-D-R, there was a lot of war going on. [SPEAKER_00]: They were, their L-D-R actually did fight L-D-R throughout this period of time. [SPEAKER_00]: They did conquer galaxies. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that the war gods were being formed at this era. [SPEAKER_00]: And there was this, what's going to happen? [SPEAKER_01]: Because again, you have to go on. [SPEAKER_01]: the elder were warned that there's consequences to what they're doing, but they're now the biggest narcissist, crazy, we care not about anything. [SPEAKER_01]: And that is going for millions of years into the war. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And there are stories of them. [SPEAKER_00]: They viewed races as being just barbarians. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they would just, they would just eliminate them. [SPEAKER_00]: which that wasn't that close. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like if you if there was ants in your driveway, you went, yeah, get out of my drive at this stuff and spray them and they're gone. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is again, it's a theory I have, but I really do believe that this is some of the early chaos God intervention on on them was making what's going to come next, making them say, well, I've mastered everything. [SPEAKER_00]: What else [SPEAKER_00]: could I do with my time and be terrible there you go be the next level terrible yeah be the best at being the worst so we see this in this era that referred to as the rise of the pleasure cults [SPEAKER_01]: You know, let's, let's go into this because I want to do the same thing in the pleasure cults. [SPEAKER_01]: So at the time of the pleasure cults, we end up with the craft morals. [SPEAKER_00]: This stage, the old art, I'm not saying you're about the zeanage, begin to go down, not all other, but some are a bit of a dark path. [SPEAKER_00]: I think the first piece is, as we were saying, you have a species, I hate saying that they this because they were bored because it sounds, it's insulting. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not that they were bored. [SPEAKER_00]: They were created to be inquisitive and consistently looking for further levels of perfection and knowledge. [SPEAKER_00]: And they got all of it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's no one to explain. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is the only thing to think is they could have literally found more things. [SPEAKER_01]: But I do agree that they were corrupted down a path of you could go try to find new ways or you could just do this right here, which is right in front of you. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the story of the pleasure cults is a little bit different depending on which code X you're reading with story repeat, but effectively it starts off with the theories it starts off with kind of like them just looking for happy fun things. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they did a he'd missed a version of it, but then they instantly got bored with that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was enough. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they went, well, I'm going to inflict harm and make people fight actually as whole. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: These are being building caulsiums and making people fight and killing. [SPEAKER_00]: And that seemed to feed a bloodlust, which might sound like a certain chaos God. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, then they actually even went farther from that, which goes back to because you think, again, the gods of chaos, and then you want siege to get back into this. [SPEAKER_01]: which is, I don't want to let them just fight. [SPEAKER_01]: I think you guys just enjoy hurting people. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they went, well, how do you hurt people? [SPEAKER_01]: And how do you become perfectionist at hurting people? [SPEAKER_00]: And then we get into these, would become the pleasure cults go from a hedonistic cult to torture murder cults. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, horrifying things. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we see this in the dark, all that later on with Covins. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Covins. [SPEAKER_00]: The Hamankioli, for those of us who closely who play for a game note, no, the dark, all that. [SPEAKER_00]: The Hamankioli are the little bit labels of this era, a hundred percent. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so that the stories you hear are of like the cities at night, you just hear screaming. [SPEAKER_01]: And it was, it was, it was these hordes of people chasing people that murder planets of like just murder and the end times basically of be stronger or just be used for the delights of these ruling. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not even class, it was just the most powerful. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, what's real is, this is where it kind of the, it all, this is why again, I think it's chaos because this is, this just, it pure Z, right here. [SPEAKER_00]: As these pleasure cults start growing, they begin to really infect the ruling and wealthy class of the elder who find this to be even more awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: At that point, now your society has hit the inflection point. [SPEAKER_00]: Because now the people in charge are the ones doing all the bad, they've got all the power, they've got all the money, what do you do? [SPEAKER_00]: And these things start to explode. [SPEAKER_00]: So what you do is you bail. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing is, is that what happens is is over thousands of years. [SPEAKER_01]: Because sometimes they they they glossed this over in the stores. [SPEAKER_01]: But this takes a huge amount of time. [SPEAKER_01]: A large number of elder, which is a small number of elder compared to the the full society of elder. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: decide that this is not what elder being, this is not what being elder is. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not what being an elder is take a moment about sears at this point because the sears, I think. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the sears start literally seeing into the future and see the downfall of the other race and they know that there's a cataclysm coming. [SPEAKER_01]: And the ruling class of the elder effectively say, you're full of shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And they just go, and they're like, when's it happening? [SPEAKER_01]: And I like, sometime in the future, they're like, yeah, good to hear. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_01]: I live forever. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And so the elder starts constructing the craft worlds, which are planets with rockets effectively. [SPEAKER_01]: They make [SPEAKER_01]: But they take forever to build. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is why they glossed it over a little bit in the codices and a lot of times in the in some of the books. [SPEAKER_01]: These are like lifetime creations. [SPEAKER_01]: They take forever. [SPEAKER_00]: Thousands of years to build these ships that are. [SPEAKER_00]: going to hope they're holding billions, really trying to people of people. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And they say that this is we're going to take people that are holding to the old ways effectively, but also not the pleasure coach. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's the old ways, but they're super scientific. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're super, but all they want is they're not going to use the things that created what this goes into the fall. [SPEAKER_01]: But once some bad stuff happens, they realize that [SPEAKER_01]: We fell into this because of the fact that we were using the warp to create light, just anything in life. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't use it to create thought. [SPEAKER_01]: The thought cannot become reality. [SPEAKER_01]: It corrupts completely. [SPEAKER_01]: We will use our technology for everything. [SPEAKER_01]: And they have to become one. [SPEAKER_01]: The time set off in literally random directions. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have to be careful of bringing this topic up with Brad, because we could lose forty minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: But, actually, there it is. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows where I'm going with this. [SPEAKER_00]: They are copying off of something called the X-Adix. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, as the Eldar have been growing over time, this is not the first time that Eldar have left. [SPEAKER_00]: The exudites have left for numerous reasons. [SPEAKER_00]: The exudites represent one of an interesting move on GW's part where they decided to write, they teased us all with rules about Eldar. [SPEAKER_00]: A little pitch is writing dinosaurs and frightens us on their head. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's in their heads and have never released a model. [SPEAKER_01]: The biggest thing about this is that they've been doing this for millions. [SPEAKER_01]: These are effectively lost elder to the societies, because these elder when we are never going to achieve anything great, if we don't have a need, not a want, a need for things. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, the exercise, where I think my opinion, we're always motivated by exploration. [SPEAKER_00]: They were like, all right, this is, this is where our thirst acknowledges, because one thing that we, we, and we recover this more, we died more in the elder, but each craft world that we discuss here about a elder are independent. [SPEAKER_00]: They have their own thing that they specialize in care most about, and you know, depending on, you know, with your LA, they drew certain peoples into it like Bill Tan. [SPEAKER_01]: got all the the specific aspect whereas so you they were basically when this is the thing that draws people to us and that became what the craft roads the craft roads were as ridiculously focused as they were originally [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you got as you get more and more ways the thing was this sort of beauty of having an immediate travel to anywhere in the world like the reason most of us don't move and go to different places is it's expensive if it's a pain in the ass how many are there where am I gonna live all this stuff now imagine wherever you go you have food you have shelter if all these things what they held our at this point with their race had become was depend you go and just live wherever you wherever [SPEAKER_00]: They were doing the thing you were most interested in. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's where all these craftfroes were. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the same. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, the old way, the LA talk. [SPEAKER_00]: They were all everyone who was with them. [SPEAKER_00]: This was the thing they believed in most. [SPEAKER_00]: The exudites were the weird ones because they were the ones who were on team. [SPEAKER_00]: I just don't want to be here. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to go find something. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they were like, this is you are the problem. [SPEAKER_01]: You were not what being elders about. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They said, we're going to go and be, we're going to find out what we are basically. [SPEAKER_00]: But the good thing for the elders, because the everyone was aware of the exercise, didn't leave in secret during the night. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone, they say, hey, we're leaving. [SPEAKER_00]: I went. [SPEAKER_00]: Bye. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they can care. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing is that it's one of the biggest things is, and let's just go straight into the fall of this, because effectively, no one cares because the elder society has reached the pinnacle of corruption, but also the pinnacle of disdain. [SPEAKER_01]: Billions of people are leaving. [SPEAKER_01]: Who cares? [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that this doesn't affect me at all. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to continue to fish hooks and bottles everybody and do the weirdest shit in the universe and no one can tell me not to. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't give a shit that all these people because also this is still a very small amount. [SPEAKER_01]: of alder. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm hearing too. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not the galaxy ruling civilizations. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is how ridiculously alder were. [SPEAKER_01]: The imperium of man in the dark ages. [SPEAKER_00]: The dark age of technology. [SPEAKER_01]: The dark age of technology explored the galaxy and the alder were so whatever they didn't interact with human humanity at that time. [SPEAKER_01]: They just thought, [SPEAKER_01]: There's insects with rockets and different things who came. [SPEAKER_00]: They had warp technology. [SPEAKER_00]: The mankind was traveling from the warp, had fast and light technology. [SPEAKER_00]: We're conquering planets. [SPEAKER_00]: You're harnessing the power, in some cases, of the star. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not fully, not like Necrono, but this stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: In the old, they were like, yeah, we did that like, sixty-two million years ago. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like this is nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, and people were like, this could be a problem. [SPEAKER_01]: They go, um, why? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're not. [SPEAKER_01]: If they haven't literally been anywhere near our empire, which is two thirds of the galaxy at this point in time, they're in that other area that we never bothered. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's really what happened at that point in time. [SPEAKER_01]: So then we have the ultimate decadence [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you take ultimate decadence and you do it for a few million years and you are tied to the warp more than any other race and the galaxies tied to the warp, the warp begins to, shit might happen. [SPEAKER_01]: So what ends up going next is, well, it's tied together with what happened in the pyramid. [SPEAKER_01]: The period is, the man is wrecked right now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, oh, that's good point. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we should, we should line up because the door, we talk about dark circles, the elder caused a lot of the dark age of technology. [SPEAKER_00]: Because as they were doing this, as we discussed before, they ruined the war. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the war starts just getting fed. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's just, it's a tumultious door. [SPEAKER_00]: We talk, it's going to end with the birth of a new dark god. [SPEAKER_00]: But what the things that the elder are doing are feeding corn and zine's very heavily. [SPEAKER_00]: And whenever you feed corn and zine's, you feed nirville, it's just the way that it goes. [SPEAKER_00]: So all the dark gods are getting fed. [SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_01]: But there's one dark odd that none of them had the aspects of. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is a literally you went, I'm feeding these three guys and then there's this excess weird stuff we're doing that's not actually covered. [SPEAKER_01]: When you look at pantheons of God, you go, what's covered under my pantheon? [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what's not covered? [SPEAKER_01]: Excess. [SPEAKER_00]: Excess and just pleasure. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, well, you know what could happen? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we might actually break this guy and create another dark God. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they did. [SPEAKER_00]: This all begins. [SPEAKER_00]: The story I like is this all begins with a dream. [SPEAKER_00]: Every L.D.R. [SPEAKER_00]: when they would sleep at night would get the same dream of this like sleeping. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's antitair. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because it's a nightmare. [SPEAKER_00]: And no one could figure out what it was at this stage. [SPEAKER_00]: This is when we thought about the craft roads. [SPEAKER_00]: The craft roads were really sped up. [SPEAKER_00]: There became a hay. [SPEAKER_00]: Society is falling apart because people are bringing up a imagine if it's not just you and your neighbor have the same dream you and every single you've ever made you've ever encountered with and these guys can talk. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got communication throughout the entire galaxy are all saying yeah I had the same thing last night. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the pleasure culture over there going like whatever we're still going to go and. [SPEAKER_01]: So we've had the same dream for a long like hundreds to maybe thousands of years. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no dates in this so unfortunately, we have to kind of infer some of this a little bit, but they're all having the same dream. [SPEAKER_00]: So the craft rolls begin getting built. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, we think craft world, it is a, it's craft ship is a better way to describe it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, crap, but I think I think for people who don't follow well, it's a shit. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a big shit. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they literally make giant noisars, but they're plants. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they just, and these guys start leaving. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're leaving everything behind. [SPEAKER_00]: because they realize that despite this dream everyone's having, they can't convince the, the pleasure calls to stop. [SPEAKER_01]: They're saying there's going to be, the series have been saying this for a long, there is going to be an end. [SPEAKER_01]: There's Ragnarok is coming. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to destroy everything and not let a cool Chris Hemsworth style. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: This is bad. [SPEAKER_01]: This is, this is actual Ragnarok. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not good. [SPEAKER_01]: And well, it happens. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't have a very critical spot. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, sky explodes. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they break the sky. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The eye of terror is created. [SPEAKER_01]: The eye of terror for people that don't know is where the center of elder civilization used to be. [SPEAKER_01]: Slanesh is born from really quadrily. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no, no, I don't even have a number of it. [SPEAKER_01]: The slanesh is born from the all of this happening and the essence of coming out of the cocoon of the warp. [SPEAKER_01]: Slanesh breaks the sky destroys [SPEAKER_01]: all of the core Eldar worlds and sucks the life force out of all Eldar. [SPEAKER_01]: But way worse now because of their work connection, any Eldar that's ever going to die ever is also going to have their soul eaten by Sloan. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's because that's actually I think we didn't touch our well enough here. [SPEAKER_00]: When an Eldar dies, their soul goes into the warp. [SPEAKER_00]: And then comes back before this moment and then would come back out of the work to be reincarnated into a new body. [SPEAKER_00]: So that Eldar had always functioned. [SPEAKER_00]: And this was also helped really have a lot of their ego for lack of it. [SPEAKER_00]: But if they became immortal via this method, Eldar always did this for the pleasure cults even who are going out there and murdering people at night. [SPEAKER_00]: Every person they murdered just got reincarnated. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't think anything. [SPEAKER_00]: So in some ways, [SPEAKER_00]: It's still evil. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't get me wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's not quite the same thing of like, yeah, I killed that guy, but he'll be back. [SPEAKER_00]: And it'll be back tomorrow. [SPEAKER_00]: So whatever, you know, the type, type scenario, this is how the elder had functioned for sixty five million. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: And now, every other that dies, not only dies forever, but also gets it's so e-ten. [SPEAKER_00]: The soul goes into the warp. [SPEAKER_00]: We're slenacious waiting. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it comes too soon. [SPEAKER_01]: I should have drawn to slenesh and slenesh, not just destroys their soul, but effectively you suffer at eternity of hell as you're getting in the door. [SPEAKER_00]: How are those slenesh? [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that, well, we're going to do infinity circuit later, but other after do something to fix this, but what happens is this actually frees up the imperium to become one. [SPEAKER_01]: Out there just lost ninety percent of their people. [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe slightly more to be honest and become a dying race. [SPEAKER_00]: No, they lose the numbers up here. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're dying. [SPEAKER_01]: We say they're dying race, but there's like a lot of them. [SPEAKER_00]: But the states by the one say is that they're dying race and that they now have, they're on the path to extinction. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not dying. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they reaper this super slowly from now. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not. [SPEAKER_00]: Can they even reproduce anymore? [SPEAKER_01]: They never really go into that office. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was trying to find myself. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they even can reproduce. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they sell their art. [SPEAKER_01]: Because their souls go into the infinity circuit, which is a basically a closed network. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's how they try to keep themselves alive. [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think they can expand the forty-first millennia. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they can add elbow. [SPEAKER_01]: So, but basically, this clears up the work. [SPEAKER_00]: As Slash explodes, though, one thing we should note for those of us who are playing Forty K is some of those craft rules we were talking about didn't quite leave in time. [SPEAKER_01]: All the cats and so on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: All the ones we discussed had left well before this, because as Brad said, when this breaks the sky, [SPEAKER_00]: It's not just one or two planets, it is. [SPEAKER_00]: No, this is systems, the system. [SPEAKER_00]: And the, the, the, I have terror is fascinating and terrifying because is a bridge between the material and the, in material that you can go through all of works to this. [SPEAKER_00]: Species do this. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually are able to enter. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's a way into the warp. [SPEAKER_00]: You can literally walk through is created has never existed in a history. [SPEAKER_01]: It's such a traumatic psychic event that it scarred both sides that forever. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, Eldar even Accidites felt this happened. [SPEAKER_00]: This spread the entire [SPEAKER_01]: It's like he backlash. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing is is like also a ton of elder just died that weren't in the explosion. [SPEAKER_01]: They died from a massive psychic attack, but also again, like my race just died or it's going to. [SPEAKER_01]: I've just seen the death now of my race. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, I think about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Star Wars episode four. [SPEAKER_00]: when the death star blows up all the time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you see, Obi-Wan makes that face. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but you have to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: A million times. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, billions of of these. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a planet. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not people. [SPEAKER_00]: It's planets and all the old are filled as instantly. [SPEAKER_00]: the only who who is against three who escapees are the exudites who are long gone, the craft world who left early enough and interesting this group becomes important, the any Alder who were in the web way happened because the web way is not in the material or the material. [SPEAKER_01]: They know they find out this exist, but also at the time the web way is currently full of [SPEAKER_01]: All those pleasure call people. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they got really into this. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, they got super into it. [SPEAKER_01]: They got so into it that they wanted to be off the grid to do weirder things. [SPEAKER_00]: So that was where we got the old R at this point now. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's brother, ninety percent of the old R dead. [SPEAKER_01]: It might actually be more to be honest. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's actually hard to do. [SPEAKER_00]: There's, again, there's no numbers here. [SPEAKER_00]: This is all stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: We know these things happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we understand pieces of it. [SPEAKER_00]: But there's no, you know, GW never went from one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's been everybody there. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, everybody, there's the eye terror, which is a huge spot. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, everybody near the eye terror, also died. [SPEAKER_00]: And then random ones, ever. [SPEAKER_00]: And then also, you have Eldar who didn't fully know what happened. [SPEAKER_00]: Eighth time in Eldar died until they felt the infinity circuits and Gamora had their own, the dark on had their own way of doing this. [SPEAKER_00]: Until they hear those out every time an elder died, they also were just dead forever, which they never experienced. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, we're talking about a species who's already long lived now having to learn an entire new way to live. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you weren't ready for the guy that died at age five thousand dying and you went, oh, I thought he was going to come back tomorrow. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's just gone forever. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there's not that many of us left now. [SPEAKER_00]: and where this, it's being set up the modern, the modern, they're gonna go modern, Forty Kay is this also uplifts a lot of the other races. [SPEAKER_00]: The elder were the dominant race by miles and miles. [SPEAKER_00]: There's the by light use. [SPEAKER_00]: They just, not only did they lose a massive percentage of the population, but also they're now on their back foot. [SPEAKER_01]: Because they also don't care about ruling. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but one thing is they went from [SPEAKER_00]: Brad, we talked this before. [SPEAKER_00]: If mankind or anyone bumps into an Eldar world and pushes a little bit, Eldar's killing, it wasn't a big threat. [SPEAKER_00]: No problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Because they had the abilities, they had the numbers, they have all this stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: The probably Eldar and how's the Eldar are now in an eternal fight with slenish. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they also are, who is a real opponent? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they also have, I have technology that could win this instantly, but if I use it, I could be damning every single person that's on my craft world. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, so I could win this fight right now. [SPEAKER_01]: But if I turn this machine on, everybody might have their soul sucked out instantaneously, and I'm not sure if that's going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm probably not going to do this. [SPEAKER_00]: And to the elder of our nerfed mankind at the same time, all of us that this times out really well with the Emperor conquering the... Well, he sees that this is going to happen though. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's actually true. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the right way to say it. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he basically sees that this is going to happen because right now, mankind had conquered some of the stars. [SPEAKER_01]: They had big technology. [SPEAKER_01]: The Dark Age of Technology was a big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: They created SDCs. [SPEAKER_01]: They had the eye on the man of iron. [SPEAKER_01]: They have fully eye. [SPEAKER_01]: They're still not even close to elder technology, so other than care. [SPEAKER_01]: But during this time, elder effectively ruined them. [SPEAKER_01]: Because not only did you have a revolution inside the end where you're doing an old imperium, but this does directly affect the imperium had, well, this is before the imperium existed, but humanity had a gigantic civil war between AI. [SPEAKER_01]: And as soon as that happened, then you had, we can't travel anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: because the work became this will not it's more than we can travel we can't travel or communicate correct and the second one's almost more important than the first one because yeah there's there's nothing the warp at least for humanity because they don't have a web way it is just they're gone there's no travel there's no communication and all of a sudden you went oh and then [SPEAKER_01]: things went to shit and then the birth of stench, quieted the war back down. [SPEAKER_00]: All of a sudden mankind now can go. [SPEAKER_00]: The emperor begins a great crusade, creates a primarque project he goes. [SPEAKER_00]: However, that's not the only race in the galaxy that gets fed by this. [SPEAKER_00]: The Orcs had been largely being kept kind of under control by the other. [SPEAKER_00]: Every time that, every time, the Orcs, we talked about this lesson. [SPEAKER_00]: The Orcs had never done a true war until actually until fairly recent in Imperial history. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of reasons why it's because the elder knew what the Orcs were. [SPEAKER_01]: And they also kept them separate. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, kept them separate. [SPEAKER_00]: And they got a little bit too big. [SPEAKER_00]: They go and stamp them out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep, they before they for it. [SPEAKER_00]: Mainly sort of force. [SPEAKER_00]: That's gone now. [SPEAKER_01]: And as I've said, also, and the in the main kind does not know what it works are. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no one knows about this. [SPEAKER_00]: So the orcs are just go from the speech at every time in the orcs don't know what the orcs are for being honest here. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're just kind of existing. [SPEAKER_00]: Now they can begin to really multiply and they can begin to get together. [SPEAKER_00]: And as we've said before, the more orcs that gather, the more powerful the orcs get. [SPEAKER_00]: And suddenly you start getting bigger and bigger orc groups, the orcs begin expanding. [SPEAKER_00]: The spread starts playing throughout the galaxy and this against sets them down the path to where they are in modern forty can. [SPEAKER_00]: But probably the Washington probably the most important thing that happens here is chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to give the Brad theory, and this might be completely not the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay. [SPEAKER_01]: It's our cast there. [SPEAKER_01]: But my theory on this is all the gods existed. [SPEAKER_01]: It's well, it's a national sport, the youngest of the gods. [SPEAKER_01]: The gods existed in the most primordial of ways. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But, and then they effectively gained sentience as we would think it as far as they were already doing what they wanted, what they did. [SPEAKER_01]: But they were so like, this, I am, I am this. [SPEAKER_01]: I am war. [SPEAKER_01]: I am murder. [SPEAKER_01]: I am knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: I am the thirst for knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: I am deception. [SPEAKER_01]: page and pestilence, and play in pestilence. [SPEAKER_01]: But the thing is, is that this guy gets born, they all get wildly more powerful. [SPEAKER_01]: Like crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: They all power level up like two thousand times. [SPEAKER_00]: With the point, like I, I, my reading the books, I think this is where demons were created. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't have any stories. [SPEAKER_00]: You get some stories in the early heresy of like where they encountered, like, like, like, like, beings. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: The Eldar are weird because I mean, cracking where I'm wrong here, but the Eldar seemed to have a deep knowledge of chaos when they meet mankind, but that's thousand years, a couple thousand years post the birth of Slinesh. [SPEAKER_00]: This is where I think chaos in my mind becomes manifest. [SPEAKER_01]: It is always because this is also when [SPEAKER_01]: I really feel that the cast gods start hoarding humanity on, oh, we did this, this happened because of the elder. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, these guys are affecting it also, and there's wildly more of that. [SPEAKER_00]: So many more than, because that's actually, we didn't touch them that we probably should. [SPEAKER_00]: The elder were much like the old ones. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not overly populist race because they don't need to be. [SPEAKER_00]: The reason there's so much mankind is because logistics, [SPEAKER_00]: We just need more people to do more things. [SPEAKER_00]: We have to make food. [SPEAKER_00]: We have to make things. [SPEAKER_00]: We have to make things to exist. [SPEAKER_00]: Where's the elder could think of it and made it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they just did. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't need any. [SPEAKER_01]: They had no workforce at all. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no farmers. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no laborers. [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing. [SPEAKER_00]: There's just the upper tier mankind had that chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: God's got a taste. [SPEAKER_01]: We could do this with X amount of people. [SPEAKER_01]: What happens if I went? [SPEAKER_00]: hundred to exponential if thousand x ten thousand hundred thousand x exact right so and this is when they started according and being effectively i think they they became more active yeah that's i mean this is this sets up everything so when we discuss [SPEAKER_00]: The reason we wanted to do this cast for all of you was to really set, give you that final stage set as we dive into more of a modern version of the cast. [SPEAKER_00]: This is where it comes from. [SPEAKER_00]: The whole reason the chaos gods got, you know, they met with the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: They corrupted Lord Gar. [SPEAKER_00]: They corrupted Horace. [SPEAKER_00]: It all comes from this. [SPEAKER_00]: This was their journey. [SPEAKER_00]: This was their goal. [SPEAKER_01]: Our broke the sky and ruined everything. [SPEAKER_00]: And ruined everything. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, and I say everything, everything ruined the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: Galaxy is falling apart, and they were warned not to buy the old ones. [SPEAKER_00]: And on a future cast, we've made discuss the old ones coming back. [SPEAKER_00]: This is pure fan fiction, but it's very enjoyable. [SPEAKER_00]: With that, a little bit of a shorter episode than normal, but it's why I went with you all. [SPEAKER_00]: On our next episode, we're going to dive back into the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: The goal of this task, those of you who are listening along with us, is we're looking to not just, we want to still tell a story. [SPEAKER_00]: We want to give you pieces of the board. [SPEAKER_00]: We want to at least have a piece of one of the cohesive stories you're not following all over the place. [SPEAKER_00]: The goal from here is we're going to be able to expand out pretty hard pretty fast in the random places. [SPEAKER_01]: Just so much that's going on. [SPEAKER_01]: And we've got a long time to go with. [SPEAKER_00]: And I understand GW, this is because of how GW is written. [SPEAKER_00]: You have to give you the back story for it to be the kind of story. [SPEAKER_00]: With that, we look forward to joining us next week. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, please like and subscribe, join our Discord and our Facebook page. [SPEAKER_00]: We look forward to engaging with you. [SPEAKER_00]: You'll start seeing some polls appearing on them very shortly to help us kind of decide where we're going next. [SPEAKER_00]: Now that we've told, really, the back story we want to tell, plus we had to do works. [SPEAKER_00]: We just couldn't wait any longer. [SPEAKER_00]: So that one had to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: So with that, I'm John Barsai. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a bread chest there. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: Have a wonderful evening. [UNKNOWN]: you
