PJA Golf Tournament tournament and I said win PGA Golf Tournament in Louisville starts today. UK basketball has been practicing. The Summer League starts tonight, but all anybody really cares about is the Ryan Lemon donut challenges tomorrow. After I told the story for last week about how I went on the fourth of July to Paris Town and they were having a donut contest. By the way, I found out, it was a donut whole contest. It's even easier than somebody ate one hundred and ten. Oh my, whoa, So this is a donut contest. Ryan Lemon said, I can eat ten and ten minutes. Jeff's donuts, which if you haven't seen them, are thick like, they're not just They're not Krispy creems. They're dnse, They're dentse. He said he could do it. It led to me saying, okay, I'll give you a little cash if you do it. And then people wrote me and said, you know what, we want to participate. We want to be one of the ones to give a lot of money. And next thing you know, last night, at seven o'clock, I put up a GoFundMe for do you think Ryan could do it? Contribute to the pot. My hope was to get one thousand dollars through That's what I hoped. It became very quick. It was five hundred dollars in like five minutes. So then I was like, well, maybe we can get two thousand dollars. And then it was up to three thousand dollars, and finally I said, well, let's cap it at five. Maybe we'll have five. Right before we get it, folks, we have already raised five thousand dollars before even mentioning it. There's five thousand and fifty five dollars right now in it. So I cut it off at five thousand. Who knows what we could have gone to. I did it because that's very generous of the audience, like crazy generous. But b I knew Shannon, who got five thousand dollars for walking fifty miles, might lose his mind if Ryan got ten thousand or so for eating donuts. Shannon, if he accomplishes this, yeah, he will get the same money that you got for walking fifty miles in twenty four hours. Was that fair? 00:03:05 Speaker 3: No, it's not. 00:03:06 Speaker 2: One of these things was the most athletic accomplishment of the year twenty twenty one, and the other one is Ryan sitting in front of a pool eating donuts. 00:03:14 Speaker 3: One of these things is not like the other, all right. 00:03:17 Speaker 4: One of them is not like the other, but they are. But society has valued them both equally. 00:03:23 Speaker 3: That's amazing. 00:03:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember anybody donating anything except for your thousand dollars and then Power of Steps four thousand. 00:03:28 Speaker 4: That's true. Yeah, I donated one thousand Power Steps. True. No, didn't donate anything, but we didn't ask. To be fair, we didn't ask. We did ask Ryan five thousand dollars and we hadn't even mentioned it on the show yet. 00:03:46 Speaker 5: Dude, I have blown away. I mean, I am flabbergasted. I mean, this day and age is all this meanness and nastiness, especially on social media, and then something like this happens restores my faith in humanity. People just want to have fun and smile in life. 00:03:59 Speaker 4: Like two hundred more than seventy individual donation, that's amazing. That's amazing. Like, Okay, so I put in two hundred. There was I think one other guy that put in two hundred. You had some people put in one hundred, couple people put in fifty, but a lot of those donations were like five dollars, which is kind of sweet in some ways. You know what I mean like that's it's like a very sweet like I'm gonna just I'm gonna put in this to get there five thousand and fifty five dollars. So you were like, ew, no fact, nude, I'll give him a best We'll see. 00:04:33 Speaker 3: Oh you better do it now, buddy. 00:04:35 Speaker 5: Now you feel like you gotta do it kind of definitely incentivizes I want to do it now. Jennifer and I were watching that cat documentary last night, and every commercial break we pulled the phone up and like, see what was up to And I said in the middle of like, I guess, I said, I guess I gotta eat these now because this is crazy. The amount of money that ended up being five thousand dollars. That's amazing. 00:04:54 Speaker 4: So we need to set some ground rules, dru. I mean, we have some ground rules, but I think we need now that we're talking this level of cash, we need to get all all of our bound Yeah, all right, So originally I said ten and fifteen minutes. It is important to me. I want you to do it, but I also don't want you to like do something you know bad. So let's do the vote. Would we give him twenty minutes? Oh please? 00:05:23 Speaker 2: Oh? 00:05:23 Speaker 4: No, out of here. What are we doing? 00:05:25 Speaker 3: What in the world are you doing? 00:05:27 Speaker 4: I'll do twenty minutes. 00:05:28 Speaker 3: I mean, let's give him a layup for five hours changing the game. 00:05:31 Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, Wow, I didn't expect that I was doing. This is a record. I was willing to do you twenty I was willing to give you twenty minutes. 00:05:38 Speaker 6: All right, So just just for the record, I'll entertain fifteen just for the record. 00:05:43 Speaker 4: Note who I did. I was willing to do it. Yes, Drew and Shannon veto. So now we're at fifteen minutes. That's a drastic change of the rules. 00:05:53 Speaker 3: Forty hours to walk fifty miles. 00:05:55 Speaker 4: Okay, all right, fine, all right, fine, fifteen minutes out. Okay, let's go to the second point question. Yeah, if he doesn't get it, we have the feature to return the money. I can hit a button and all the money goes back to everybody. Boom. Is that what we do? Yeah? 00:06:15 Speaker 2: This is once the conversations is not a participation trophy contest. 00:06:20 Speaker 3: You either get it or you don't. 00:06:22 Speaker 4: So you're saying all five thousand dollars returns, yes, okay. 00:06:27 Speaker 3: I think you have to Ryan agrees with that. 00:06:29 Speaker 5: Evean, Yeah, I definitely. 00:06:30 Speaker 4: This is how we set the game. Now, are you like, are you gonna lean into it? Put you back into it? 00:06:37 Speaker 5: I am now, I mean I really you can do it? 00:06:40 Speaker 4: Are you gonna put your back into. 00:06:41 Speaker 5: I'm even going to research tonight. What do I need to do the night before to prepare for the big event tomorrow morning. 00:06:48 Speaker 4: There may be somebody who listens who is a competitive eater. 00:06:51 Speaker 5: There is ay that listens. He was a Tennessee Titans mascot. 00:06:54 Speaker 4: If you're listening, he doesn't listen. No, oh, somebody who he's with us? 00:07:02 Speaker 5: That was him. 00:07:03 Speaker 6: I know him. I wrote him and talked to him. We had him on the show. Okay, I genuinely, I genuinely have been with a guy who trained several times. I know the college he was ranked. You have to expand your stomach, but not like unhealthy stuff. Drink like lots of water. 00:07:15 Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so I've been taking This is the one piece of advice. I talked to someone in the medical community who said, look, he can do this. It's not dangerous as long as he eats, like at a reasonable pace. He was like, but he does need to drink water, So you need to have a lot of water. So when you got your stomach to be full or big but not. 00:07:34 Speaker 6: Full, need to get him a lot of water. Well, he needs to be doing it today, not tomorrow, so you need you. 00:07:40 Speaker 4: Need a lot of water tonight and like and then I'm gonna make this is my only This is the Matt Jones personal rule. The first one you gotta eat puffy. And then after that if you want to do what they said and smash them so there's not as much air, I'll be okay with that. Okay, but you gotta eat the first one puffy, first one puffy tomorrow morning. 00:08:00 Speaker 6: You want a big stomach, but not a full stomach, so you want to make it big today, but you don't want to have all that stuff. 00:08:05 Speaker 4: So what we're gonna do is we're gonna do it at ten thirty. Okay. Then you will have to complete the second hour of the show. You can't just go in and go to sleep, so you gotta be here on the second hour to talk to to your fans, right, and then I don't care what you do after that. You can just go spend the money if you want. 00:08:31 Speaker 5: There is one other question I guess we need to decide now what if I throw up before I'm finished? 00:08:40 Speaker 2: We hit the button the money go, So it's a if he throws up the thing, yes, okay, what about more room? 00:08:45 Speaker 6: What about when he finishes? I say it has to stay down for five to ten minutes. Okay, so we do it at ten and at ten thirty three. In theory, you completed at ten forty eight. You gotta get to the final set, into the final set. 00:08:59 Speaker 5: Okay, perfect, Well I have a bucket there just in case. 00:09:03 Speaker 4: Okay, So now I'm gonna just a couple of things. First of all, I mean it, you all are like the nicest, unbelievable. Seriously, yep. We didn't even mention it on the show, and I didn't have to put out drew a second call, one tweet, one Instagram post, one bond, that bridge post. That was it, and then and then it went away. This is the best sports fan base. And I would say in sports, certainly in college sports, but I'll just say in sports, nobody else can do that. Nobody else can do that. But would not even being on the air yet, Okay, you all are the best, the best. Secondly, everybody, and again this is a small group of people, but I do want to say this anyone complaining like about you know, I, you know, why are we giving them money for this? You didn't have to get like nobody had to give it. Those people that gave it wanted to give it. Leave it at that. It's their money, Drew, if they wanted to give it. Period. The reason I use gofund me is there's just no other way that I know of just to raise money. I just didn't. I don't know of another way, and it's the easiest to set up, and I had an account from things we've done in the past. Okay, so that's why we did. Thirdly, Ryan, you have agreed you're gonna You're gonna keep at least some of it. 00:10:36 Speaker 5: I think I have to now because people have been so nice and generously. 00:10:40 Speaker 4: And the vast majority of people that have written have said to me, I want to give this to rot. If I was gonna give it to charity, I'd pick a charity. And I think that's correct. Ryan's accomplishing a goal. Ryan's accomplishing something on the air, just like Shannon did. One day, we'll have something for Drew. One day we'll have something for Mario if he wants We're never gonna have anything for Billy but one day, but everybody else. I'm kidding. He's gonna race Ryan Timmins, Remember, Yeah, he can race Ryan Timmins. So uh you know that that those are that those are the rules for this thing. 00:11:14 Speaker 6: Yeah, as you said, a lot of people paid five dollars. You can't even see a movie for five dollars anymore. They're paying for a form of entertainment. This is a discount. You get Ryan Lemon cramming donuts and this is going to be. 00:11:25 Speaker 4: A best of tomorrow morning, and the second hour might even be better. As he sits there moderately sick Shannon in the heat, trying to advertise a pool company. Have you talked to the pool company? 00:11:39 Speaker 5: Yeah? See, and s Pools. That's why we're at my house tomorrow because that the show is. 00:11:42 Speaker 4: They are Cems Pools about happy about this. 00:11:44 Speaker 5: I think they're extremely happy about As long as I don't throw up in the pool. 00:11:48 Speaker 4: That would be awful, That would be all that would be awful for He's gonna be sweating glaze and the record. Know what, you can't come by This is a prime This is a private show. Mario will be filming, Mario, my even go live during that time? What is our Instagram account? If people want to see it go live? What is it? KSR KSR the Show? So you could go on KSR the Show. Could you do TikTok as well live? Or you can't do them both? Can't do them at the same time, So we'll do it on Instagram. Is there not a second phone we could do it? Well, we'll talk about it, but either way, if you want to make sure to be able to fall at the Instagram KSR the Show. 00:12:29 Speaker 6: What's our our confidence level in him? Now that rules have been established, we see how big the prize is. I know he'll he'll try a little harder now that we know the pot out of ten yes, four point five? 00:12:41 Speaker 3: Oh really not very confident. 00:12:43 Speaker 4: What about you, sham Oh, I. 00:12:45 Speaker 2: Think you can get it done, especially with this kind of money on the line. I'm going to give him an eight out of ten. 00:12:49 Speaker 4: Eight. 00:12:50 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he does it. 00:12:52 Speaker 6: Mario six, All right, what about you? Two things have increased my confidence level. The money, because we know Ryan wants money. I think that really adds to his drive. And I'm interested to see because I really don't know until we have him in our hands. What the impact of smashing will be. I think that can really help him and get to it. So I'm gonna say I got him at a seven right now. If you had to eat him one by one, I'm like a three because your mouth just stops. 00:13:16 Speaker 4: But if he can smash him and get the first one in regular, I'll let you smash the other nine. But you still have to eat them all. 00:13:24 Speaker 5: Well, we were watching Jimmy Chitwood or Joey Chestnut. Larry's name is here. 00:13:27 Speaker 4: Two very different vieles. Jimmy Chitwood's a guy from Hoosier. Yes, Joey Chestnuts the eater. Yes, he was eating two at a time. You're not eating two at a time. You got it one at a time. I'm letting you smash him. 00:13:38 Speaker 5: But Katie, if you put two and smash two together, no one. 00:13:41 Speaker 4: At a time. 00:13:42 Speaker 2: Can I play out one scenario for you real quick? Yes, Let's say the clock is ticking down and it gets to zero and he has the last doughnut he's still chewing. Does he have to have it swallowed completely or does it have to be just in his mouth? 00:13:54 Speaker 4: In his mouth? Okay, I'm good with it being I'm not Here's why I don't want it to do. I don't want you to rush to We're not trying to cause any situations. Yeah, if you get to the end and you're not done, I'm fine. If it's all in your mouth, that would actually be funny if you had one or two big. 00:14:09 Speaker 3: Zone shots off his fingertips. 00:14:12 Speaker 4: As long as it's off your fingertips, now you will have to finish it. You can't just spit it out, but you as long as it's in your mouth. When the clock, we will make you finish it. But you can do it on your own tip. One of us can be the ref. Like in soccer, we'll add two minutes to the clocks. It's like extra time in soccage. It's got to be off your hands, in the mouth. 00:14:35 Speaker 5: My confidence level was probably a two yesterday. After last night, it's it's an eight. 00:14:40 Speaker 4: Oh here you go. Oh wow, Now it's Nazi. I knew all. You got to just get those competitive juices flowing. 00:14:47 Speaker 5: I mean, you know I've had these challenges before, the push up challenge, the running running around leg. 00:14:53 Speaker 4: That's right, you did that. This one's all about something you're good at, eating, eating, that's right eight five nine two eighth twenty two eighty seven. Text machine is seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. If he gets it, he gets a money. If he doesn't, he gets returned. We'll take a break right back, KSI, welcome back. Take you sports radio. Hey you have nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven text machine seven seven two seven seven four five two five five to four. What person rights, Matt, I've done competitive eating contest. Drew's exactly right. You got to drink the water tonight. It will you will urinate it all out before the contest, but your stomach will be expanded. So tonight's the water. Now, don't do is don't do what I did and end up in the hospital. Too much water? 00:15:39 Speaker 5: What if they called water intoxicter intoxication. 00:15:41 Speaker 4: When I tell people I had that, they're like, You're the only person that's ever happened. 00:15:44 Speaker 5: I had never heard that phrase until you had it. Yeah, in your cases is fine water training. 00:15:50 Speaker 4: It was Paul fine, bomb shadding, and I still didn't even get to hosted. 00:15:53 Speaker 3: That's right, all because of the water drinks. 00:15:55 Speaker 4: All because of that stupid water. Uh, that's the way it goes so you gotta be careful about that one person rights man, I think you should donate the money if he doesn't do it to charity. I can't do that. That's not what I mean. It's not my money. People gave it under one premise. It's not my money to then give away. So if he doesn't do it, I'll give it back and then if people want to donate it to charity on their own, they can. But like, it's not my money to only only two hundred dollars of it's my money, and it's going to be worth it. That's gonna be the best two hundred dollars I ever spent watching this. 00:16:29 Speaker 6: After talking to him during the break, I'm even more confident. I think he's gonna done. 00:16:33 Speaker 4: You told me yoga girl flip. Now she wants you to do it. 00:16:36 Speaker 5: Well, like I said, we were watching that cat documentary. We kept watching the money rais and finally when he got about three thousand dollars, she turned me. She says, you have to do this now. 00:16:43 Speaker 4: See everybody sells out. This Ryan Lemon is different than they. The million dollar Man said, everybody's got a price. 00:16:53 Speaker 5: You know what, it's incredibly humbly though you know to know that people donated this money to watch me throw up and make. 00:16:59 Speaker 4: A Well, you're not gonna throw up. You need you need to not. 00:17:02 Speaker 5: Throw I know that's I'm worried about that. 00:17:04 Speaker 4: During Are you gonna Are you gonna dip it in water? I'm gonna let you do it if you want, But are you gonna do it? 00:17:12 Speaker 5: If I'm getting the point where I'm struggling, I'll probably try anything. 00:17:16 Speaker 4: What does the drink situation? Milk? What can you have? Any rule? Anything? Well, I mean to me something, you can have whatever you want in my opinion, because drink it'll just take up more space. But I want you to have water because you need to like keep it going down. But I wouldn't suggest like throwing a bunch of milk in. I don't think that's gonna help you accomplish it. 00:17:36 Speaker 5: I think your mouth gets so dry with all that bread, you're gonna need a little. 00:17:40 Speaker 4: There's a lot of. 00:17:40 Speaker 6: Bread and then the sugar, the the I think the hardest part will have is your mouth, and your throat will tap out before your stomach. You won't be able to swallow more bread because we'll get so tired of it. And that's where I think the smashing can change the game for it. 00:17:53 Speaker 4: Smashing can help. Now you said you're going to the doctor today just coincidentally, I think my doctor's gonna be excited about it. 00:18:00 Speaker 5: I wondered if I should not even tell her. I don't think she listens. But this is my six month checkup today, just coincidentally, the day before I do this. 00:18:07 Speaker 4: Thankfully it's not Saturday, Sugar, while you're in there, do you, uh, Shana, do you think she contributed? Who's that the doctor? 00:18:16 Speaker 7: Oh? 00:18:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, probably not. I don't think so. 00:18:19 Speaker 5: No. 00:18:20 Speaker 3: Only the men seem to want. 00:18:22 Speaker 4: No, no, no. I think I had a lot of women yesterday after I said on the radio that women didn't want to do it. I had women say, we want to do it. Some of them were like I wanted I want Ryan to do it for Ryan because I because I know it would help him. And then there were people who are like, oh, it'll be entertaining. I mean, there are there are women, I think a lot of them are in the Ladies of KSR that are protective of you. They're protective of all of us, and I think that's really really nice. But you know, sometimes you just gotta you gotta do your thing, like sometimes you gotta fly the coop. 00:18:54 Speaker 2: I would like to see Ryan's blood sugar level. When we're done with this, we could just do like a. 00:18:58 Speaker 4: Lot and I would say for you to the weekend, you're gonna need to try to do something healthy. Yeah. I don't know what it is, but maybe fluids. 00:19:08 Speaker 5: Should we have a nurse on standby just in case. 00:19:11 Speaker 4: I mean, that's a you choice. I'm I mean, I'm fine with it. I don't know. 00:19:16 Speaker 5: The only people I know there are still adamantly no, my dad, and I don't know if your mom is back on board you. 00:19:21 Speaker 4: My mom has not said one way. My mom wanted me to make sure I didn't like push you into it. So yesterday when you were like, this is me, Yeah I'm doing she was like, okay, that's all you can do. So it is you. Now, this is not us pushing you into it. We gave you incentive, but it's you're the one to do it. You're a grown man. 00:19:40 Speaker 5: Seeah, we first started talking to you, I thought this would be fun, a fun little bit for the radio show, just a fun little event. Now it's turned in like, well, I'm gonna do this now. 00:19:47 Speaker 4: Yeah, now your juices are. 00:19:49 Speaker 5: Flowing because people are incredibly generous. 00:19:52 Speaker 4: Rio do you think he should do it? He should do It's money money, Like look at him throwing the cash around. 00:19:58 Speaker 6: We keep talking about the money and the health, but there's also the aspect of letting people down who are excited and believing you were accompliding. 00:20:04 Speaker 4: We're gonna get this is gonna be ed show. I mean, we have almost three hundred people have donated. I think if I had left it open, it would have gotten up to seven, eight, nine thousand dollars. I just knew that would make Shannon's head explode. 00:20:16 Speaker 2: Yeah, I would want my house settlement. You know, you gotta pay me what I actually deserved. 00:20:23 Speaker 4: I know, like Shannon's head would have absolutely exploded if we did that, which is the reason I stopped. 00:20:30 Speaker 5: Well, you know when you threw me in jail, we made thirty thousand dollars that but that was for chairs. Yeah, right, amazing. 00:20:37 Speaker 4: Oh that somebody mentioned one of the things you say you always accomplished. One thing you didn't accomplish the putting five putts thousand dollars a putt. You missed every single one of them. 00:20:48 Speaker 6: All was his accomplishment to entertained, because if that was the goal, that was nailed. 00:20:52 Speaker 4: Good business for ks Bar too. Is everybody came to taunt you in prison? 00:20:56 Speaker 5: Dude? We had a jailer come and escort me in a cop car to the chos bar and grill. How ridiculous were we that back then? 00:21:03 Speaker 6: I watched that again fairly recently on the internet. 00:21:05 Speaker 4: It's a great Is that video on the internet. Yeah, it is on Twitter somewhere. I think it's somebody's got Yeah. When I when the car pulls up and gets him. When I left take Kentucky, they took w L e X took all of those videos offline, which is a shame because there were great videos that they I guess scripts or whoever bought it, took all those videos offline. And uh, but the that was so ridiculous, the fact we had a cop literally arrest you at the course, take you to KOs and then you stayed there for five nights. Yeah, six six nights. 00:21:42 Speaker 5: I supposed to have ten, but you gave me four days off on good behavior. 00:21:44 Speaker 4: Yeah, because in Kentucky you served sixty percent. Uh, and I gave and you would like you would sleep in the restaurant and. 00:21:52 Speaker 5: The ghosts that were there. 00:21:53 Speaker 4: I'm looking at all the pictures. 00:21:54 Speaker 6: Did you get a haircut while you were in jail? 00:21:56 Speaker 5: I did? Yeah, Michelle Collins came and cut my hair in my jail sale. 00:22:00 Speaker 4: Yeah. Every night he would be drunk too, because people would just give him beer while he was sitting in there, like he was. 00:22:06 Speaker 5: A keeping tracking like thirty something beers over that six days. 00:22:09 Speaker 6: We had the night we stayed with him and like the random worker walked in at three am. 00:22:13 Speaker 4: I've never been so scared of me. Yeah, that's when they come. 00:22:16 Speaker 5: To do I forgot you guys stayed the last night. 00:22:18 Speaker 4: We stayed a night with it and camaraderie. Those are fun times. Maybe we'll maybe we'll do it again. Nine twenty two eighty seven, Johnny got like thirty seconds go for It. 00:22:30 Speaker 8: Got controversial opinion. I think we need to change the fight song. 00:22:33 Speaker 7: It's terrible. 00:22:34 Speaker 8: We stole it from Arkansas back in nineteen twenty three. After thirteen years they made it. We got to get rid of it. We can't have a bum program to base our fight song off of it. Steal from Alabama or something. 00:22:45 Speaker 4: I don't know. 00:22:46 Speaker 8: We gotta change. 00:22:46 Speaker 4: It is Arkansas's fights on the same I didn't know that first. 00:22:49 Speaker 5: I heard of that. 00:22:51 Speaker 8: It's similar. Basically, the director at the time needed what we wanted to create a fight song. Uh, he went around to the universities. He chose Arkansas. 00:23:01 Speaker 4: I did not know that. We'll take a break. Be right back. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. TJ. Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. He'll make them pay. 00:23:11 Speaker 2: Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. 00:23:14 Speaker 3: Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:16 Speaker 4: All right, So the Putt for Prison Challenge is online. My friend Dwayne just sent it to me. It has survived somehow. I don't know how I found it, but there it is. It's Drew and I. That's still one of the I have such a great memory of that show. For a couple of reasons. It was the day of the KSR GROFSKRA It was so we'd been out in the sun like all day, all day. Right then it was the night. It was the day before the primary for the Kentucky like races, governor, lieutenant governor, Secretary of State, all that stuff. Right, we got out there and our teleprompters stopped working. Yeah, and Drew and I were the hosts. You could see us if you look at this video. And Drew and I got out there and they and there was no teleprompter, and they also I couldn't hear anything back from the studio, so they basically said, look, you got twenty minutes to fill phil on tomorrow's election. And I had no notes and no anything, and I couldn't name two people, Drew, so Shannon I would I googled who was running? Yeah, and I and Drew and I just I was like, all right, Adam Miedlin versus you know, Mike Harmon, it is the it is the auditor's race, Drew, what do we think about this one? And Drew would be like, there's a lot happening in this auditor's race tomorrow. Like we just we just had to add lib for twenty minutes until Ryan's segment becaucause the show was live. We needed to arrest him live. We couldn't tape it, so we just had to go. There was nothing we could do. 00:24:58 Speaker 9: Well. 00:24:58 Speaker 2: The good thing was that everybody that was watching that day was probably watching for Ryan's. 00:25:04 Speaker 4: Nobody cared, but we still had to get through those twenty minutes and I remember every commercial Drew goes I got nothing else to say, we have nothing else to say. 00:25:13 Speaker 6: I remember being really sunburned. I just finished around my team one. 00:25:18 Speaker 4: You might have been one drunk as well. 00:25:20 Speaker 5: I think you might be accurate on that one. 00:25:22 Speaker 6: I don't know the statue of limitations as a golf scramble, but I remember at one point I think I said to you, I was like, I have nothing else I can say about Daniel Cameron. 00:25:29 Speaker 4: Nothing. 00:25:30 Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure I did five minutes on how he played football. So we'll start talking about Matt Bevan's house again. I didn't know what else to say. 00:25:36 Speaker 4: Yeah, five, nine, two, eight, twenty two, eighty seven. Do you think Ryan can do the donut challenge? There's people who want me to open the money back up. I think that would honestly get it to seven or eight. I just I can't look at shant it if that happens. 00:25:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, about inflation, though, don't ask me to do anything ever again. 00:25:55 Speaker 4: If it got to hate or not, it's about the same. 00:25:58 Speaker 5: Walk fifty miles eat ten donuts. 00:26:00 Speaker 4: On our phones. Here the first person in line is Jerry. Jerry's become a very controversial figure on the text machine. Jerry, who has been a long time caller this show, a long time football person. He's probably into football as much as anybody caller we've had. Usually been negative, sometimes he's been positive, but for the most part over the years negative. I think yesterday's call broke people the text machine. Yesterday was only about two topics, Ryan eating donuts and should Jerry be able to call any more about football? Which is funny because just a few weeks ago everyone was negative about football. But now for whatever reason, maybe it's these commitments, maybe it's just the season's coming, maybe it's the e Vince throw up the ls. There are people who are just like, all right, I don't want people to say everything's terrible, And there's been this movement of you've got to stop having Jerry on the show thoughts well. 00:26:56 Speaker 6: To add to your the big reaction on the messageboard, sometimes people start multiple threads about like a recruit and we have to merge him, have to put them on one. 00:27:04 Speaker 4: Just stay organized. 00:27:05 Speaker 6: We had multiple Jerry threads yesterday about a caller and had to combine them because to your point, lots of people were complaining that about how he's complaining it seems. 00:27:14 Speaker 4: Like yesterday was the breaking point for people. Ryan. We've had over the years, we've had callers for whatever reason, we've had to temper the amount of time we have them on or whatever, which Jerry I don't think has ever been one of those. But this, you know, the negativity about the negativity has reached a fever pitch. Should we have Jerry on? 00:27:35 Speaker 5: I think we got to have him on, but he is now the leader of the brotherhood and the miserable. I mean, he can't find anything good to say or be optimistic at all, not just about this upcoming season, but you know, the last of the stoopid tenure anymore. 00:27:47 Speaker 4: It seems like Channon, you're the harshest of the group. Yeah, Jerry did. He hit a level of negativity yesterday That is too much. 00:27:55 Speaker 3: I feel like we have and we had too much of them this week. Anyway, So. 00:28:00 Speaker 4: Next week, Jerry, all right, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to give Jerry one chance to redeem him. Okay, if he doesn't redeem himself the next week when I'm on vacation, he has a Jerry vacation. You all will have to not allow Jerry to Jerry for a week, okay, but if he redeems himself today, then I'm willing to reconsider the band. 00:28:25 Speaker 5: That's fair, Jerry, Jerry. 00:28:28 Speaker 4: Go ahead. 00:28:30 Speaker 9: Well, actually I called to talk about Ryan eat these donuts. I have a warning for him. About fifteen years ago, against my wife's fair advice, I allowed Leland Conway to talk me into a chicken biscuit eating contest against a professional eater, and of course I have blue chunks at the end. But since then I have never been able to eat a chicken biscuit or the thought of a chicken flight. Chicken biscuit makes me want to hurl. So if he really likes these. 00:29:03 Speaker 4: Donuts, this is even better news because he doesn't need to eat donuts. Donut, you know what. I appreciate the call, Jerry. I'm not that that's gonna keep you from a Tipperary Bay and you're still on probation. Uh, that would be good for you to not eat donuts. 00:29:20 Speaker 5: We're doing this for your donuts. 00:29:21 Speaker 3: We're doing this for the good of your health. 00:29:23 Speaker 5: Donuts are the breakfast of champions. I love it, have a donut every day. 00:29:26 Speaker 4: I think this sounds like and. 00:29:28 Speaker 6: It's the place next to the bar that he probably frequents too much. This is actually an intervention. We're disguising it as a. 00:29:33 Speaker 4: Competition, Jerry oddly with a positive reason to continue with the contest. 00:29:38 Speaker 6: When a kid gets caught smoking and you have to smoke the whole package sick and you'll never do it again, that's what we're doing. 00:29:44 Speaker 4: Donuts. Yeah, like I think they did that on the Cosby Show when they would when they made like Lisa or something drink until although. 00:29:52 Speaker 3: It looks different, Yeah, liver failure made. 00:30:00 Speaker 4: I don't take anything on the conte. I didn't say that, Bruce. Go ahead, Bruce. 00:30:06 Speaker 7: This weekend Matt is the Rock the country concert there and Ashland Kid Rock Nickelback being a carded all that. It's Friday and Saturday. I know you mentioned you wanted to go, but I have a piece of advice for you. You guys should pull out the Monday Night Wars era radio program counter programs against UK's a terrible pregame show instead of doing it before you need. 00:30:34 Speaker 4: To yellow We're not. I mean, I listen, believe me, there's a part of me that would like to go up against the official show and beat it. Every week that like speaks to my inner I can't remember the word Adam Midlin. I was looking at somebody sent me the article Politico wrote about me in twenty nineteen, and he used a word that I thought was a good disc scription about me. I think he said he lives to UH to anger the elites or something like that. I think was they used a better word. I can't remember what is. What I would love to do is go up against the official show and beat it every week. However, they are our partners on the radio station. Their games are on here, so we're not allowed to do that, which is why we're on before and after. If for some reason that weren't the case, then I'm with you because we've talked about that. I think it needs to be improved, et cetera, Bruce, but we're just not allowed to UH because of the stations we're on. 00:31:39 Speaker 7: Well, you need to be like Eric Bischoff, have Lex Luger come out in the middle of the mall of America and just say we're going head to head, deal with it. We're bringing the nWo, we're doing all this. 00:31:49 Speaker 4: I would have would leave. I would have to leave iHeart to do that. I appreciate the call, and iHeart is while I would like to do that, sometimes it's probably not worth the difficulty of doing it. But believe me, it doesn't change the fact that those shows need to be to be changed. 00:32:11 Speaker 6: And I Heeart's the biggest station whatever throughout Kentucky. We need them any reason we have a powerty. 00:32:18 Speaker 4: The reason we have a forty plus network, uh forty plus affiliate network is because of my heart. And uh, you know, if you've been listening over the years, I have fought with my heart a lot. It's probably knock on Wood better now than it's ever been, which is which again, knock on Wood. That could change tomorrow, but right now it is, so why I don't want to screw that up. Colton, go ahead, Colton. 00:32:44 Speaker 8: Uh Hello, what do you guys think about the recent news on the Jam's a great question. 00:32:51 Speaker 4: So this was the you know, top five player Jason Crow Junior was like was was it looked like coming to Kentucky. I mean every it's people thought that for months his godfather is on our staff, Jason Hart, And now just out of nowhere reports he's going to Missouri and Kentucky's like out of it. Through what happened. 00:33:12 Speaker 6: I don't know, but Joe Tipton from On three said yesterday the Kentucky's not even in the picture, like we're not even on the list anymore. So it was certainly a drastic change in leaving Kentucky behind, but then also just adding Missouri because they weren't in the mix for a long time. So I don't know what's going on. You have to assume gotta be a lot of money involved to have a blue blood like Kentucky, your lenon'sour and all of a sudden you're going to Missouri. Kentucky's not even in consideration anymore. 00:33:38 Speaker 4: I don't get it. I mean we talked about I don't know why you go to Missouri. But I'm also like, how do things change so quickly? And you know, if your godfather is on the staff, Like, I don't know, what do you think happened? 00:33:51 Speaker 5: Maybe Missouri has hired his father then on their staff. I mean they did hire Michael Porter Junior's family. Well, I mean I think we would know that, right, Maybe that's still coming all. It seems like that sounds like something you might know. 00:34:02 Speaker 4: No, I don't know that. I'm just saying, is his father even a coach. 00:34:06 Speaker 5: I have no idea. 00:34:07 Speaker 4: So you just thought, you're just throwing that out of nowhere for discussion. But he might not even be in basketball. He might be like like a middle school. 00:34:15 Speaker 5: Guy happened to Kentucky earlier this year. 00:34:17 Speaker 4: That kid it was, but that guy was a basketball coach. 00:34:20 Speaker 5: Well maybe he's got another basketball coach in his life. We don't know this. We're just throwing another We're trying to come. 00:34:24 Speaker 4: You just you were very specific. You asked going to be a coach. 00:34:30 Speaker 5: You asked me come in scenario. Why would you flip like that? I think, well, maybe that's a possibility. 00:34:34 Speaker 4: Okay, Well, maybe his mom's gonna be the new president of Missouri. 00:34:38 Speaker 5: Maybe it's possible. 00:34:42 Speaker 4: He wants my opinion. There's the new governor of Missouri, who knows. 00:34:47 Speaker 5: I just won't talk anymore. 00:34:49 Speaker 4: No, you got it talk. I can't got to get you ready for the donuts to ma. 00:34:51 Speaker 5: I gotta get him training, all right. 00:34:53 Speaker 4: His dad is a high school basketball coach. Okay, former pro basketball player. All right, Maybe if he ends up, I'm gonna coach at Missouri. Yeah, then I apologize. Okay, that would be impressive if you if you called that out of nowhere. 00:35:07 Speaker 5: You sure you didn't know something? No, Because I mean the Missouri did that with Michael Porter Junior's day. 00:35:12 Speaker 4: He didn't do that with Michael Porter. Okay, all right, I may have I may have spoken too soon. 00:35:17 Speaker 6: But to show you how bizarre it is, I'm looking at a story that's almost a year and a half old talking about how Jason Crowe Senior called Jason Hart to congratulate him by getting the Kentucky job. And that's how close they are. So it just shows you for Kentucky to yeah, completely leave it to. 00:35:31 Speaker 4: Make sure there's dad, and you do wonder what it is that would have happened, Shannon, I didn't get the ad, So send him to me during the break. We'll take a break and be like that like KSR, Welcome back Tucky Sports Radio. I just watched the clips of the video. Yeah you're the last. Your putting it was awful, and the last one wasn't even close that. 00:35:51 Speaker 5: The first one just barely lipped left. And I thought to myself, well, I first hit I thought that's in it, missed left. The second one I hit it, that's in it, right, And then that putter felt like it weighed fifty pounds or that Oh. 00:36:04 Speaker 4: Man, you got brutal to watch. That's good I put. That's what Scoop does. 00:37:14 Speaker 5: Stayed at Express last I had no clue. 00:37:20 Speaker 4: You really just guessed, and that's ended up being true. 00:37:24 Speaker 5: Yes, I knew that. 00:37:27 Speaker 4: You really didn't know. 00:37:28 Speaker 5: I had no idea. I have no idea who this kid is. I have no idea who his dad is. I just thought Michael Porter Junior's dad did it. 00:37:33 Speaker 4: This is so you You guaranteed that Lamar Wilkerson was coming and then he didn't. Right, You don't even know who this is, and you predicted they were going to hire his dad as a coach. 00:37:45 Speaker 5: Same thing Wilkerson, they hired Indiana, hired one of something in his inner circle as a coach. He went to Indiana. 00:37:52 Speaker 4: Wow, Mark Pope. They posted yesterday a video from their practice game was tied. Malachi Reno hit a seventy footer at the buzzer to win. He put aunt Shannon before the game. They put Kobe eight venice beaches, Yeah, which I think are actually really ugly shoes. It's one of the few Kobe's I do not have of the eight Kobe Eights. You like them really well, be colorful, they're very cold. But anyway, they were like, whichever team wins this game gets the Kobe Eights. Game was tied Malachai Moreno from seventy feet at the buzzer goes in, they win, and they get the shoes. I actually saw I never get to see BBN tonight, but I saw it last night and I got to see the video of them all celebrating and then getting the shoes and Shannon. I thought that was kind of cool. I never thought about giving these guys like little prizes along the way for winning in the pickup game. 00:38:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, that was really cool. 00:38:47 Speaker 2: And I guess now we know if we're ever in that situation in a game, we know who we're giving the ball to. 00:38:51 Speaker 3: Let them sling it from seventy feet. 00:38:53 Speaker 4: Yeah, I like. 00:38:55 Speaker 6: They had to go to the tape. It was so close. I even stopped it on the computer to make sure it was good. But my biggest takeaway is before Moreno's bomb nearly full court, Colin Chandler missed a game winner, and I'm telling you to write it down. That's the last time you'll see Colin Chandler miss a game winner when it matters more than shoes this season, that SHOT's going in. 00:39:15 Speaker 4: He took a mid. 00:39:18 Speaker 6: Marino, caught his miss and threw it in at the last second. Chandler makes that when it matters. So you're calling a game winner. He's gonna learn from that. What's Michael Jordan's say about all the shots he missed? That's in Colin Chandler's head right now. Everybody's walking around the shoe. 00:39:35 Speaker 4: Yeah, well he be in the game, yes, all right, Colin Chandler. I'm right in the stand. We have July tenth. Colin Chandler, he's gonna hit a game. You're not even just saying about. You're gonna say a game winner. Yes, he's gonna be so hungry on the Kobe's. Yes, he'll be gone after this season to the pros. 00:39:55 Speaker 6: Yes, I sleep on a nice king temper pedic mattress. You all sleep on Chandler. That's what I'm telling you right now. All right, he's not sophomore Nick Richard's territory for me yet, but he's like, we're getting it's a strong all right, listen. 00:40:12 Speaker 4: I can't say anything Ryan got the dad, right, so maybe this will maybe this will be true. Noah, go ahead, Noah. 00:40:21 Speaker 7: Hey, I'm just gonna say, Ryan, I can believe in you in those donuts. 00:40:25 Speaker 8: And Mario I like the TikTok. 00:40:29 Speaker 4: All right, he can't hear. He doesn't have the thing, but I'll tell him. Mario. He says he likes the TikTok. You follow KSR on TikTok, yes, sir, all right, Well I appreciate it. We have now thirty two thousand followers on TikTok. KSR underscore the show. I think. Is that right? That is KSR underscore the show on the TikTok. 00:40:50 Speaker 5: I got a little Another helpful hint from a listener said, my kid tried it last night, eating ten and fifteen minutes, got it done in twelve minutes and thirty four seconds. Hold's kid doesn't say, he says, my kid, but he said, take it slow, have a stopwatch, pace yourself, and water helped, but not too much. 00:41:07 Speaker 4: Well, if a kid, I need to know how old this kid is, yeah, I mean sixteen year old, seventeen year old, that's I don't know that that helps you. But if a ten year old did it, then I think you have to look at the parenting to allow that to happen. I'm calling CPS and and see what happened. But now that should give you some confidence. Does I think the change from ten to fifteen minutes helps you? 00:41:29 Speaker 5: Yes? Absolutely it. 00:41:30 Speaker 4: Hell, and then the five thousand dollars. I mean, you are as driven by money as anyone. 00:41:36 Speaker 5: Because I'm flat broke right now. I need the money. 00:41:39 Speaker 4: Well, and you know part of that, I hope it makes you feel good that people, you know, it is clear like people are doing this because they love you. 00:41:48 Speaker 5: Well, like I said, it's very humbling. You know that they want to smile. 00:41:51 Speaker 4: And for people like Ryan's just had a lot in the last year, He's just had a lot. And so this is, uh, this is you know, this is going to be a positive day tomorrow. And if it's not and you don't get. 00:42:04 Speaker 3: It, well I'll laugh at you. 00:42:05 Speaker 4: We will laugh at you and send all the money back. So it's really a feast or famine thing. I mean, you're gonna get a feast, but the question is whether you get rewarded for it. 00:42:14 Speaker 5: I'm more worried about that second hour on the radio show. What I'm going to be doing well. 00:42:18 Speaker 4: It can't be any worse than after your colonoscophy when you were on the radio like this will this will not be more embarrassing than that was. If I'm not two eighty seven. Couple big, big, big things for the future college sports have happened in the last twenty four hours. We'll talk about them next week. 00:42:37 Speaker 5: We leave here. When you had to go get a cheat burger,
