<v Speaker 1>ww podcast. It is Sunday, September twenty second, twenty twenty four,
<v Speaker 1>and we are just a matter of a couple of
<v Speaker 1>weeks until Bad Blood, and there's already a lot of
<v Speaker 1>programs I'm ready to just see end. And I don't
<v Speaker 1>mean that in a way that that's rushing the program
<v Speaker 1>over or that's any disrespect to the programs, but rather
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready to see the matches that are going to
<v Speaker 1>I think deliver in a big way at Bad Blood,
<v Speaker 1>including Drew Mcatyre and se him Punk that is going
<v Speaker 1>to take place inside hell and all. And I think
<v Speaker 1>at this point we have all been but been guaranteed blood.
<v Speaker 1>It would be kind of a shame if after Cmpunk
<v Speaker 1>Verbatim said he's gonna make Drew Bleed had Bad Blood
<v Speaker 1>and the name of the dang pay per view has
<v Speaker 1>blood in the name. Be kind of disappointing if there
<v Speaker 1>wasn't any. So that'll be fun, as blood creates just
<v Speaker 1>so much drama when when it's done in the right
<v Speaker 1>way and done sparingly, So that'll be fun. And so
<v Speaker 1>we've got that program going on. We also have and
<v Speaker 1>I'll lead with this, the Kevin Owens program going on
<v Speaker 1>right now over there on SmackDown. He hasn't had a
<v Speaker 1>lot of time to talk. He hasn't really said a
<v Speaker 1>whole lot since his loss to Cody, and he continues
<v Speaker 1>to yes help the Babyfaces, or rather the Babyfaces continue
<v Speaker 1>to assist him. But the I think the crowd on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown and just generally are ready for Kevin Owens to
<v Speaker 1>turn back to a heel. I think his best work
<v Speaker 1>is done as a heel. Hell, his heel character brought
<v Speaker 1>back the greatest of all time, in my opinion, in
<v Speaker 1>Stone Cold Steve Boston after nineteen years, so you could
<v Speaker 1>feel it. I mean when he at the end of
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown had the chair in his hands and Cody Rhoads
<v Speaker 1>once again fights off the bloodline, it makes his save.
<v Speaker 1>We have Kevin Owens for several moments standing there with
<v Speaker 1>a chair and you could see the internal struggle.
<v Speaker 4>Do I hit Cody? Do I not? What do I do?
<v Speaker 1>He ends up shaking his hand and the crowd I
<v Speaker 1>think was while they didn't boo when they embraced they
<v Speaker 1>you could feel the disappointment. And maybe it's partly because
<v Speaker 1>even if it's a turn, you don't like recognizing that
<v Speaker 1>a turn happens is a big deal when you're lives.
<v Speaker 1>So the excitement for the moment for fans there maybe
<v Speaker 1>was what the disappointment was, But I think it's bigger.
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready for a Kevin Owen switch. I know that
<v Speaker 1>some of you are as well. Not that he's not
<v Speaker 1>good as a he has a babyface, he's fun, the
<v Speaker 1>stunner's fun. You know, he can cut a good baby
<v Speaker 1>face promo. He you know, he doesn't look like he's
<v Speaker 1>chiseled out of a wrestling factory.
<v Speaker 4>He doesn't.
<v Speaker 1>You know, he has a body type that you look
<v Speaker 1>at him and go, how does he do? And how
<v Speaker 1>does you know? How does he do these moves? How
<v Speaker 1>does he do these things? You know, when it doesn't
<v Speaker 1>look like he's carved out of stone or you know,
<v Speaker 1>whatever the typical wrestling body looks like. And he has
<v Speaker 1>a very relatable personality, very likable personality, but he can
<v Speaker 1>turn it on too as a heel. And my point
<v Speaker 1>about all this not to belabor it belabor it, though,
<v Speaker 1>is really that he feels like he's ready, that feels
<v Speaker 1>like the crowd is ready. And I'm going to say
<v Speaker 1>something here that I'm not I'm probably wrong on probably
<v Speaker 1>like a lot of the things I say, But when
<v Speaker 1>he had the chair and the crowd was kind of like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we're not going to get the turn, I think if
<v Speaker 1>he had pulled the trigger and he hit Cody in
<v Speaker 1>the back, it could have been one of those scenarios
<v Speaker 1>where the crowd went crazy after he hit Cody. I
<v Speaker 1>just got that feeling that, you know, while they designed it,
<v Speaker 1>and would have designed it clearly to keep Cody roads
<v Speaker 1>babyface and to turn Oen's heal, which would have been
<v Speaker 1>the purpose of that segment. If they had gone that road,
<v Speaker 1>I think it may have backfired. I think that the
<v Speaker 1>crowd is enjoys the Kevin Owens turn. They're ready for
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 4>I think to.
<v Speaker 1>Find a new opponent, Okay, beyond the bloodline and constant bloodline. Bloodline,
<v Speaker 1>blood line, blood line, blood lined with him, and in
<v Speaker 1>a lot of ways, I think some fans are more
<v Speaker 1>connected to the Kevin Owens character than they are the
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes character. So I mean, what do you guys
<v Speaker 1>think about that? Do you believe that there's a possibility
<v Speaker 1>the crowd would have actually cheered. I think the fans
<v Speaker 1>would have I think there would not all, but would
<v Speaker 1>have been a good subset of fans there in Sacramento
<v Speaker 1>that would have cheered for that. So just a thought.
<v Speaker 1>But again we continue to get the fact that Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton and Cody Rhoades and Kevin Owens have this alliance
<v Speaker 1>because of a common enemy in the Bloodline, which, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, they're gathering a lot of enemies lately. We
<v Speaker 1>saw that on Spackdown Manifests itself with DIY, Johnny Gargano
<v Speaker 1>and Champa come out and come to the aid of
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens.
<v Speaker 4>And so you have them.
<v Speaker 1>You have also the Street Profits that are still getting
<v Speaker 1>generally a pretty good reaction. But boy are they ready
<v Speaker 1>they've been. It's just like they're holograms of a former team.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they don't get any mic time, no storyline progression.
<v Speaker 1>They're just frozen in time, you know, from twenty twenty.
<v Speaker 4>And they have not moved.
<v Speaker 1>And not that they're not good in the ring, and
<v Speaker 1>they still I guess have chemistry, but they're just there.
<v Speaker 4>They just exist to.
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine make it look like the tag team
<v Speaker 1>division has depth and they're an established team with credibility,
<v Speaker 1>But I mean, I don't know what the Street Profits
<v Speaker 1>are really doing at this point anymore. You know they're
<v Speaker 1>not going to win tag titles. Were all ready for
<v Speaker 1>them to split two. But my point about all this
<v Speaker 1>is that you have the Bloodline here collecting a lot
<v Speaker 1>of enemies and that you know ultimately could lead through
<v Speaker 1>their downfall, but I'm not sure if it will. Outside
<v Speaker 1>of just creating opportunities for good matches and other teams
<v Speaker 1>to get the rub off of the Bloodline, you have
<v Speaker 1>a lot of teams that do need a lot of
<v Speaker 1>help in that regard. I mean, let's be honest, D
<v Speaker 1>I Y and the Street Profits are the ones who
<v Speaker 1>need the Bloodline story, not the other way around, because
<v Speaker 1>those two teams don't really have much to do outside
<v Speaker 1>of run ins to help a single babyface who's outnumbered.
<v Speaker 1>So all right, well, let let's let's move on and

<v Speaker 1>Front of the Bloodline and Cody Roads, and really more specifically,
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns and Cody Roads were teaming up to take
<v Speaker 1>on Solo Socoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood. The
<v Speaker 1>cinematic promo with Roman Reigns and Cody Roads. It took
<v Speaker 1>place on SmackDown, which by the way, I'm not counting
<v Speaker 1>as a Roman Reign's appearance because it was obviously taped
<v Speaker 1>beforehand and they can say he was a part of
<v Speaker 1>the show, but that's not true. They're trying to create
<v Speaker 1>a presence for Roman while he's not there as a babyface,
<v Speaker 1>which is smart but I know this segment has got
<v Speaker 1>a lot of praise. This segment has gotten a ton
<v Speaker 1>of praise from fans. I really haven't seen much negativity
<v Speaker 1>about it, and I think generally rightfully. So you know,
<v Speaker 1>you know me here, I'm gonna I'm gonna say something
<v Speaker 1>that's gonna I guess pour cold water on this.
<v Speaker 4>It's coming.
<v Speaker 1>But I will outright say it was a good segment.
<v Speaker 1>If you're gonna create these cinematic movie like you know,
<v Speaker 1>uh segments for wrestling, which is not done a lot
<v Speaker 1>and hasn't really been done since the pandemic era, when
<v Speaker 1>they had pretty much free reign to do whatever the
<v Speaker 1>hell they wanted with no live audience, and every match seemed,
<v Speaker 1>especially with like you know, those specialty matches like this,
<v Speaker 1>wasn't there a swamp match with braun Strowman and Bray
<v Speaker 1>Wyatt and all the nonsense that went on and all
<v Speaker 1>the pre tape stuff. I actually really didn't like the
<v Speaker 1>Graveyard or was it the Graveyard match between aj Styles
<v Speaker 1>and Undertaker then ended up being Undertaker's final match. I
<v Speaker 1>actually didn't enjoy that as much as most people did.
<v Speaker 1>I think if I could design his exit that would
<v Speaker 1>not have been it at all. In fact, that may
<v Speaker 1>have been the last thing I would have him do.
<v Speaker 1>Then another topic for another day. But generally I wasn't
<v Speaker 1>a fan of the cinematic stuff because it felt too phony,
<v Speaker 1>it felt too produced. It's not how people really talk
<v Speaker 1>and on and on. This segment, though, was very effective,
<v Speaker 1>and it did get the point across that these two
<v Speaker 1>don't like each other, which makes total sense. They aren't
<v Speaker 1>suddenly buddy buddy. I like that these two are mortal
<v Speaker 1>enemies for better part of two years, and now they're
<v Speaker 1>coming together to fight a common enemy. And I appreciate
<v Speaker 1>that the fact that these two again aren't aren't smiling
<v Speaker 1>and hugging and making out in the middle of the ring,
<v Speaker 1>that there is some animosity that's still there. And that
<v Speaker 1>Cody said all he wanted from Roman was his word,
<v Speaker 1>that he was going to have his back, and I'll
<v Speaker 1>have yours. Roman said, you have my word, but when
<v Speaker 1>this is all over, I'm coming to take that back
<v Speaker 1>the ww Championship. And interestingly, at the end of that
<v Speaker 1>segment that took place inside the Georgia Tech Stadium.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if that's the name of the stadium.
<v Speaker 1>But where Georgia Tech plays where Roman Reigns had his
<v Speaker 1>football career begin. You had Cody Roads and Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 1>stepped to go the same way and crossing paths symbolically,
<v Speaker 1>I think, right, they symbolically, well physically actually cross paths
<v Speaker 1>literally did and you know, obviously their careers are and
<v Speaker 1>have been crossing paths several times as we all know,
<v Speaker 1>for a couple of years now, so I think that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of what it was a throwback to.
<v Speaker 4>And then.
<v Speaker 1>They they got physically, they physically cross paths, but Cody
<v Speaker 1>ended up saying, okay, well no, you go ahead, and
<v Speaker 1>Roman said, you know not just here like in life,
<v Speaker 1>that you're you are in my way. And then the
<v Speaker 1>segment ended with Roman Reigns walking off with drone shots
<v Speaker 1>in the Georgia Tech the football field, and it was
<v Speaker 1>all very dramatic, all very dramatic, all very well done,
<v Speaker 1>all very well edited, and both performances by Cody and
<v Speaker 1>Roman were done very well. I am not taking anything
<v Speaker 1>away from either guy, including yes, even Cody rhads, I
<v Speaker 1>can't because what they wanted to accomplish in that segment
<v Speaker 1>I think they did. The question is do you like
<v Speaker 1>that kind of stuff? Even if it's performed exactly how.
<v Speaker 4>It should be.
<v Speaker 1>If you don't prefer that type of style of wrestling,
<v Speaker 1>then it's not going to be for you. However, I
<v Speaker 1>would imagine most of you enjoyed it, and I will
<v Speaker 1>say I think I did too. The better part of me,
<v Speaker 1>though I should say I don't know if a better
<v Speaker 1>part of me, but a big part of me was
<v Speaker 1>just worried that this is now going to give WWE
<v Speaker 1>a green light to do this all the time. Sometimes
<v Speaker 1>WWE has a habit of finding something that works or
<v Speaker 1>gets a big positive reaction from fans, and then they
<v Speaker 1>they repeat it over and over and over and over
<v Speaker 1>and over to death. There's nothing wrong with repeating something
<v Speaker 1>that obviously your fans, your your customers and joy. But
<v Speaker 1>then there's sometimes sometimes the wa way of just beating
<v Speaker 1>it to death and then it just becomes overused. That's
<v Speaker 1>my fear. That's what Vince did a lot, especially when
<v Speaker 1>he was given the all clear during the pandemic, ear
<v Speaker 1>to do whatever you wanted. So let's for my sake anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I hope that's not the acceptance and reaction that WWE
<v Speaker 1>was hoping for to get the green light to go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and now make every segment, every promo a movie.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I don't need that. I don't need you know,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need that. Some of you may really love
<v Speaker 1>it and want more of it, and this is more
<v Speaker 1>just preference.
<v Speaker 4>Guys.
<v Speaker 1>I can acknowledge the talent, but at the same time
<v Speaker 1>say it's not for me, you know. So for what
<v Speaker 1>this was though, since we haven't seen it a while
<v Speaker 1>and it was different, I enjoyed it. Also, at the
<v Speaker 1>end of SmackDown, you did see and this is a
<v Speaker 1>small thing, but interesting, we saw credits at the end
<v Speaker 1>of the show. It wasn't just the WWE logo that
<v Speaker 1>he tells you they're about to go off the air
<v Speaker 1>and says like, oh, copyright twenty twenty four, whatever show
<v Speaker 1>they're on rossmackdow. There was actual credits of executive producers.
<v Speaker 1>You know how it's like at the end of a
<v Speaker 1>TV series or TV I'm sorry TV show, when the
<v Speaker 1>episode's ending, you see sometimes the credits come on before
<v Speaker 1>the actual end of the show. That's what we saw here.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how I feel about that. I know,
<v Speaker 1>again it's a small thing, but why do we need it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't need to see Triple H's name at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the show. We all know who's running the show.
<v Speaker 1>We all know who's making the creative decisions. Final that's
<v Speaker 1>Triple H. Paul Evac.
<v Speaker 4>So I don't know what that was about. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't need to see Triple Ah's name at the
<v Speaker 1>end of a show and thinking, oh, thanks for all
<v Speaker 1>this great creative Triple H. I mean, like that will
<v Speaker 1>be the equivalent of Vince McMahon at the end of
<v Speaker 1>every one of his shows putting executive producer or head
<v Speaker 1>of creative Vince McMahon. It's like, it's a reminder what
<v Speaker 1>you're watching as a TV show. I mean, they don't
<v Speaker 1>do this with sports. Mayf you're trying to make this
<v Speaker 1>a simulated sport. Again, this is a really small thing,
<v Speaker 1>but it's the first time I can remember them ever
<v Speaker 1>doing this. When you're watching a sport. They don't put
<v Speaker 1>on the names of the executive producers as are going
<v Speaker 1>off the air. That's a TV series move, that's a
<v Speaker 1>sitcom move.
<v Speaker 4>You don't do that. Again.
<v Speaker 1>Small, but if immersing yourself in this reality is paramount
<v Speaker 1>to getting an emotional connection to the product, this is
<v Speaker 1>a small thing. That chips away at it, I think,
<v Speaker 1>so I hope they don't continue to do it. But
<v Speaker 1>am I gonna die if they don't know? But all right,
<v Speaker 1>well let's move on. I just wanted to say that
<v Speaker 1>with the cinematic stuff, I really just I hope they
<v Speaker 1>don't just suddenly decide, Wow, what a great reception. Let's
<v Speaker 1>let's do it again next week and next week and
<v Speaker 1>the following week. I've got some great ideas. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Dunn would be very proud that we are that
<v Speaker 1>w W this week moved away from being a wrastling
<v Speaker 1>company in this segment to being a I guess a
<v Speaker 1>Hollywood special. So I'll just end and say for those
<v Speaker 1>that's saying, OH, don't know how you didn't like it,
<v Speaker 1>you're a cody hate No.
<v Speaker 4>I just y.
<v Speaker 1>I have to repeat myself here because I get emails
<v Speaker 1>that seemed like I don't that you guys aren't listening
<v Speaker 1>to me.

<v Speaker 1>it was effective. I wouldn't take the segment back. It
<v Speaker 1>was well executed. By both parties. Well done editing all that.

<v Speaker 1>well crafted. But I just my point is, I don't
<v Speaker 1>want this all the time.

<v Speaker 1>mean continue to put on really really good matches in
<v Speaker 1>particularly La ninety. Yes, he had a couple of botches.
<v Speaker 1>He needs to stop jumping up to the top rope
<v Speaker 1>and trying to do what he's doing. And I think
<v Speaker 1>what motivates him to continue to do it is when
<v Speaker 1>he f's up, he wants to show he can still
<v Speaker 1>do it, and do it twice and then he f's
<v Speaker 1>up against I almost had to beat myself. But look, Knight,
<v Speaker 1>we know you're the athletic, big guy, You've got a
<v Speaker 1>great personality, You're on a hell of a role, you're
<v Speaker 1>US champion. Please don't do it. If it's like even
<v Speaker 1>if it's like a seventy five to eighty percent successful
<v Speaker 1>execution rate, not worth the risk because now you've slipped
<v Speaker 1>up on that more than twice. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>like three or four times. Now we've seen you slip
<v Speaker 1>up on it. I'm not saying it's an easy move.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying that you're not capable of doing it,
<v Speaker 1>but the success rate is not great. You want it
<v Speaker 1>at like ninety five to ninety nine percent with that
<v Speaker 1>kind of move. And it's just now you've conditioned us
<v Speaker 1>to go, oh oh, oh, he got it. Oh is
<v Speaker 1>he gonna f up again?
<v Speaker 4>You know? Is he gonna slip up? So?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if he doesn't remove it, fine, but he's
<v Speaker 1>now labeled that move forever, stained it as a well
<v Speaker 1>botch possibility, and it is higher risk than necessary. The
<v Speaker 1>ropes get sweaty, they get oily. It's difficult to do,
<v Speaker 1>even if they're neither are true. It's a high level
<v Speaker 1>of difficulty. It looks like a simple move, but we
<v Speaker 1>all as fans, I think, don't understand the level of
<v Speaker 1>difficulty that even moves that look simple are so.
<v Speaker 4>For l A. Knight.
<v Speaker 1>Anyway, beyond that little point, I think him and Santos
<v Speaker 1>have had a fun program. This looks like the end
<v Speaker 1>of it, given that he hit the BFT clean on Santos.
<v Speaker 4>I'm sorry on.
<v Speaker 1>Andrad, I said Santos, I get the mixed up on Andrade,
<v Speaker 1>I apologize if I said Santos a few times, my
<v Speaker 1>bad Andrade. So Andrade and La n I had a
<v Speaker 1>good match. It reminded me of a Santos La Knight match.
<v Speaker 1>But the fact is that both of those men are
<v Speaker 1>not ready to be US Champion at this point. Because
<v Speaker 1>this is Ella Knight's game, this is La Knight's game.
<v Speaker 1>His pops continue to be one or two top of
<v Speaker 1>the night. I mean, I would imagine if those people
<v Speaker 1>in Sacramento were able to come on the show, they

<v Speaker 1>on the descent, you have one guy on the ascent,
<v Speaker 1>and for Apollo Cruise, what.

<v Speaker 1>and then after the match, Vinci goes crazy and beats
<v Speaker 1>down Apollo Cruise. So this is clearly not over. But
<v Speaker 1>I would imagine even in their third encounter, that we
<v Speaker 1>have Vinci lose again to Apollo Cruise. Maybe that's just
<v Speaker 1>gonna be his gig. Maybe that's going to be his gig.
<v Speaker 1>Is like, the dude just can't win. Even Michael Cole said,
<v Speaker 1>you know, that's all fine and well that you attacked
<v Speaker 1>Apollo after the match, but you gotta win matches. That's true.
<v Speaker 1>It's true, but that may be his gig that gets
<v Speaker 1>him over, is he can't win a match that there
<v Speaker 1>is something to that.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I will say there's something to that that gets
<v Speaker 1>fans attention because it's unique. Fans could find it entertaining.
<v Speaker 1>But it also does kind of preclude you from title contention,
<v Speaker 1>you know, so you'll get over in a way that
<v Speaker 1>you'll get that attention you want, but it does also
<v Speaker 1>put a ceiling on you because you won't win a
<v Speaker 1>championship anytime soon. Fans aren't gonna take you seriously, so
<v Speaker 1>it defines you down automatically. But it does get you
<v Speaker 1>over in a way that says fans know who you are.
<v Speaker 1>They're actually being entertained by this. You hear them laughing,
<v Speaker 1>You hear them, you know, you see them on X
<v Speaker 1>and saying how they like to see Vinci lose every
<v Speaker 1>week and all that kind of thing. So there might
<v Speaker 1>be something to this. If he continues to lose, that
<v Speaker 1>could just be his gig which will make it will
<v Speaker 1>get funnier and funnier. So all right, let's move on
<v Speaker 1>to the Monda Night Raw side of things briefly, And
<v Speaker 1>it was to me highlighted by the CM Punk Serious
<v Speaker 1>promo and which most people also really enjoyed. It felt
<v Speaker 1>very contrived to me in terms of the tone of
<v Speaker 1>his voice punk. For most of his promos, does you
<v Speaker 1>know has a punk voice? He has the Phil Brooks voice,
<v Speaker 1>And in this case, he just went down a few
<v Speaker 1>two octaves that made it felt very forced. The content
<v Speaker 1>of his promo's fine, but the tone of it was
<v Speaker 1>it felt like he was trying to spe It's like
<v Speaker 1>somebody who doesn't have a deep male voice trying to
<v Speaker 1>sound like they have a deep male voice. That's what
<v Speaker 1>it sounded like to me. So that's really the only negative.
<v Speaker 1>So I got to get that out of the way
<v Speaker 1>before I praise it, which was in Here I Go.
<v Speaker 1>It was a very good promo, very good essentially telling
<v Speaker 1>Drew that he's prepared to die, he's prepared for his
<v Speaker 1>heart to stop beating in this match, and that he
<v Speaker 1>will make Drew bleed. He said he's not going to
<v Speaker 1>keep or make any promises he can't keep about trying
<v Speaker 1>to kill Drew McIntyre, that he's going to actually kill him,
<v Speaker 1>but he said, you'll have to kill me to stop me.
<v Speaker 1>He's always been good with words like that, and it
<v Speaker 1>was effective. From a content perspective, I thought it was
<v Speaker 1>well done, well delivered, And now it's this is one
<v Speaker 1>of those programs like I started off at the top
<v Speaker 1>of the show and said, I'm ready for this matchup.
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready to see these two because I don't know
<v Speaker 1>where you go from here. You've both especially the fact
<v Speaker 1>that you've been feuding with each other for the last
<v Speaker 1>eight months, and this is the blowoff you have. You know,
<v Speaker 1>both guys who have said everything they need to say
<v Speaker 1>to each other, have beaten me each each man has
<v Speaker 1>beaten each other to a pulp. Each man has a victory,
<v Speaker 1>the attack from behind. One has already drawn blood.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, so.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, where do you even go. They might want
<v Speaker 1>to even skip a week in the next two and
<v Speaker 1>just run a video package. I know that it'll anger
<v Speaker 1>a lot of in person fans who want to see
<v Speaker 1>punkin Drew and they probably won't do it because of that,
<v Speaker 1>but they really probably should. And in all seriousness, is
<v Speaker 1>just there's not much to do. You can't have them
<v Speaker 1>cut another promo with each other a brawl. It's just like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>we've been there, done that, so but overall, the program
<v Speaker 1>has been a lot of fun for the the eight
<v Speaker 1>months it has existed. It's been a lot of fun.

<v Speaker 1>Now, we had another tease of the New Day splitting
<v Speaker 1>after they lost their tag team title match against Finn
<v Speaker 1>and JD, and more dissension, I guess in the ranks,
<v Speaker 1>with Xavier Woods being the one to likely turn heel
<v Speaker 1>and likely do it next year's ten year anniversary of
<v Speaker 1>the New Day being formed, and maybe even Big Ee
<v Speaker 1>makes in appearance. But we had Xavier get angry at
<v Speaker 1>Kofe and Kofe's trying to calm him down after the match,
<v Speaker 1>and there were no punches thrown. But this is something
<v Speaker 1>to keep an eye on if you are one that,
<v Speaker 1>like myself, have been looking for The New Day to
<v Speaker 1>break up for the last nine years out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>So I am certainly looking forward to it. If this
<v Speaker 1>ends in a big nothing burger, it's gonna be lame, right,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it'd be super lame if they just it
<v Speaker 1>was just a tease and they're actually all just sending
<v Speaker 1>us on a path that doesn't have a destination. That's
<v Speaker 1>very possible, but I really really hope not.

<v Speaker 1>where we had Seamus pick up the weapon which was
<v Speaker 1>it a yeah it was, and went after Done, but
<v Speaker 1>the referee took it away. Then Done pulled out a
<v Speaker 1>cricket bat and hit Seamus while the referee was clearing
<v Speaker 1>the challely, and then Done returned to the ring and
<v Speaker 1>hit Seamus with it was either a knee or a boot,
<v Speaker 1>and that got the victory. Not not a great finish,

<v Speaker 1>Italia beating Zoe Stark and seven minutes and.

<v Speaker 1>title defense, that's bravery, that's respecting the championship. That is

<v Speaker 1>educated fans to believe, and a lot of fans have
<v Speaker 1>bought into that hook line and sinker. I have never.

<v Speaker 1>here saying I'm some special, I'm smarter. It's just something
<v Speaker 1>I've picked up on personally over the last however many
<v Speaker 1>years I've been watching wrestling. Again, you cannot be a
<v Speaker 1>coward and also not devalue the championship that you tell
<v Speaker 1>us that you cover it so very much, but they'll
<v Speaker 1>never go back on it. They're too locked in. You
<v Speaker 1>hear the same spiel from both heels and babyfaces both

<v Speaker 1>the championship against anyone who asks, no matter who they are.

<v Speaker 1>That's not how championships work in any other sport either.
<v Speaker 1>But uh, you know, the heels also say the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>You know, like with gun Thro doing what he's doing,
<v Speaker 1>he's inadvertently adding value to the championship, which is what
<v Speaker 1>Gunther does. Gunther adds value to anything he touches and
<v Speaker 1>look what he did with the Intercontinental Championship.

<v Speaker 1>About even more than getting the guy over, which is
<v Speaker 1>a very close second and definitely one of the priorities,
<v Speaker 1>but not the priority. The top priority in any championship
<v Speaker 1>program is to elevate the championship. It should be finding
<v Speaker 1>ways to add value to the thing that you are
<v Speaker 1>trying to hold onto or to regain or gain for
<v Speaker 1>the first time, depending on the scenario. Why, Because people
<v Speaker 1>will come and go, Faces will come and go, retirement, injury,
<v Speaker 1>God forbid, death, just whatever the case. Faces come and go.
<v Speaker 1>But championships, sounds corny, are forever and that's what's gonna stay.
<v Speaker 1>So wouldn't you adding the value of the thing that's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be there forever be paramount? I guess I think
<v Speaker 1>I'm talking into the void at this point. With WWE.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they just they'll never, they'll never, I think
<v Speaker 1>ever go back on their narrative of just well, it's cowardice,
<v Speaker 1>like their whole premises, it's cowardice.

<v Speaker 1>and that's when we got, Yeah, the beatdown of Sammy,
<v Speaker 1>who ended up recovering between the beatown of Gunther and
<v Speaker 1>Kaiser on Sammy and ends up hitting a hallubakick on Kaiser.
<v Speaker 1>Why Gunther looks on again, Gunther still says no, but
<v Speaker 1>maybe even this week he will eventually be forced to
<v Speaker 1>say yes, or Adam Pierce will say yes on his behalf.
<v Speaker 1>So Bianca bel Air versus theo Sky happened and that
<v Speaker 1>match was twelve minutes, again double any of the title
<v Speaker 1>matches that, at least on the televised televised side of things,
<v Speaker 1>maybe not. Pelia and I have to go look with
<v Speaker 1>any of the tag team matches with her and Bianca.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry her and Jade. You have Bianca in a
<v Speaker 1>singles match and it's double that time because she's perfectly
<v Speaker 1>capable of it.
<v Speaker 4>I mean it.
<v Speaker 1>You just see what you've been missing with Bianca being
<v Speaker 1>tied up in a tag team when you watch her
<v Speaker 1>in a singles role. But THEO Sky beats Bianca surprisingly
<v Speaker 1>and THEO Sky gets a big victory, but it doesn't
<v Speaker 1>really matter because right now Bianca is not in the
<v Speaker 1>singles scene. All right, we have Damian Priest versus Dominic Pasterio,
<v Speaker 1>with Damian Priests beating dom in thirteen minutes.

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so solid raw headlined by the promo with punk
<v Speaker 1>I think, and a SmackDown that was cinematic, memorable, tease

<v Speaker 1>comes to fruition or not. I hope they do, but
<v Speaker 1>I hope they're also prepared to understand that it could
<v Speaker 1>completely blow up in their face if they do have
<v Speaker 1>him turn on Cody, that the fans could decide to
<v Speaker 1>turn on Cody and side with side with Kevin Owens.
