We Have Found Blas Hernandez | Inside The Bus
Recorded: January 15th 2026 | Welcome back to a special episode of Inside The Bus. We have been seeing your comments, and we finally had to get him on. This week we are joined by the one and only, Blas Hernandez. Some of you tier ones will remember Blas from the early days of Bussin, but for those of you who don't know, Blas is basically the original producer for BWTB. He was one of the first Bussin employees and the boys take time to reflect on some of the old times/stories. Blas talks about what it was like setting everything up production wise and how things went in the beginning. Blas was also here when each of the other guys got hired and each take their time to give Blas his flowers and how he was able to help out each guy. This has been a long awaited episode and the vibes couldn't be higher. Enjoy and as always, much love.

00:00:00 Speaker 1: All right, welcome back to another episode of Inside the Bus. 00:00:03 Speaker 2: This is episode thirty two. 00:00:05 Speaker 1: I am bringing this one in because within a month I will be turning thirty two. It's gonna be the biggest year yet. It's the shack year of my life. Oh Peel's I mean, our guest is here. You can see him on screen with me. It's the only other guy that's older than me. So I feel like unk true, unk dude. 00:00:25 Speaker 3: That's how I started feeling towards the end of my time here in Busting Dude. I was like, man, this is a young man's game. 00:00:33 Speaker 4: Du Yeah. I Like when I got hired, I was twenty four, so I'm sure makes you feel super old. 00:00:39 Speaker 3: No, for sure. 00:00:40 Speaker 4: Man. 00:00:40 Speaker 3: I was like, dang out, what point am I gonna start growing up? Because when you work around guys that are young, keeps you young, right, But at some point you. 00:00:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead. 00:00:52 Speaker 5: I'll say for those listening on audio, that voice you hear might be a familiar voice. It is the original voice of the back of the bus, the man that walked so that we could run. It is bloss Hernandez. 00:01:06 Speaker 3: I appreciate you saying that, man. That really means a lot I mean even being you know, a little bit removed from the bus. You know, I try not to hang around too much because you know, it's like nobody likes the guy who just keeps hanging around who's been here. 00:01:19 Speaker 6: I mean the freshman in college who comes back high school. No, but you you are so different than that. I think of anything people. 00:01:25 Speaker 7: Who are like, dang, where's bloss right? 00:01:28 Speaker 2: The question that keeps getting asked. 00:01:30 Speaker 4: You guys will have to tell that story because. 00:01:33 Speaker 5: Oh we have to talk about the trip to Vermont. 00:01:36 Speaker 2: Oh yeah we will. 00:01:37 Speaker 5: Was it Vermont? 00:01:38 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:01:39 Speaker 3: Guys went back? 00:01:40 Speaker 1: No? 00:01:40 Speaker 3: No, no, yeah, we definitely will. Man, dude, it's just uh, like I said, man, seeing the evolution of what's happened with busting and then like you guys, man, like obviously Will and Taylor, you know, they have a lot going on. But to see you guys start this and to watch like your individual like growth through social media, dude, has been such a treat. Anytime I get an opportunity to just comment or like or whatever and show love, man, like I try to do that. I'm not the greatest about it, but just know that, like I'm rooting for each and every one of you man. 00:02:17 Speaker 5: For sure, when when you're first meeting with Will, you can break down how you met up with Will for the very first time. But before you get into that, when you did meet with him for the first time, did you see it getting to where it is now or was it more just like, let's see, I know Will's talented, but I wonder how he'll be able to scale it. Yeah. 00:02:36 Speaker 3: No, So honestly, my first reaction and do you want me to kind of go into the story of how I got Yeah, for sure, it'll lead to that obviously. But so at the time, I had just got out of the Army and I moved from Hawaii to Tennessee. And I chose Tennessee because, well, it was a little it wasn't California. I didn't want to go back to California, right and I didn't want to stay in Hawaii because it was too expense. If and I don't care what anybody says, if you're on an island for three years, it's kind of boring, Like you could only hike, you could only surf, you could only do so many of those same activities before you want something different, man, and you're limited on who comes here. So like right as far as like you know, shows, comedians, all that stuff, Like you're not getting any of that stuff unless it's somebody I like a retirement toward just kind of like you know, paying like giving back to those those people who supported him. So you're not getting any of the new town Like Taylor Swift ain't coming to why right, but you know she's not maybe because he's on the back end. But yeah, So I was kind of over that. Tennessee held a special place in my heart because this is where I deployed from Afghanistan from. There was just a lot of pride that I had in the unit that I served here, So I just wanted to come back. That southern hospitality really left a mark on me. So I chose Tennessee and also pushed me out of my comfort zone, right, like not being around family, you tend to just kind of like, hey, if shit goes wrong, like at least I got my family. When when you've moved to a different state knowing like one person, like your back's against the wall, like you got to make it happen, right, So that was kind of a mentality that I went into it with, and you know, I started doing some real estate photography and stuff like that, and ended up getting hired by a luxury realtor at the time who was doing like I think he was selling like Derrick Henry's house, Pecorine's house, so like these houses I was going to. I was just like, Wow, this is incredible, but also like you know, in hopes to make more connections and stuff like that, because everybody knows, like, dude, you can have all the talent in the world, man, but if that door isn't opened for you, or if that opportunity doesn't present itself, like good luck, you know. But now with social media, I mean you're able to put yourself out there a little bit more, so it helps. But yeah, man. So I was working, you know with him and filming houses and stuff like that. And then I was standing in an apartment with my buddy Aaron at the time, and he had got contacted from a friend of his and he was like, Hey, there's these two NFL players who are trying to start a podcast and they're looking for for like producers and stuff. My buddy Erin was fortunate enough to like work for ESPN, so he kind of had a sports background and he was just like but he was like, I love you, Aaron, but you're like a nerd and. 00:05:33 Speaker 2: He doesn't love sports. 00:05:36 Speaker 3: He doesn't love sports. So he was like, yeah, I know how to work all the equipment and stuff, and you know, I could get it all set up, but I could give two shits about the Titans. 00:05:45 Speaker 6: Yeah, you've got a guy like that now here. So he's on the show, but he's not currently here. 00:05:50 Speaker 4: Oh I'm pretty sure you could pick him out pretty easily down there too. 00:05:54 Speaker 1: What year is this when you're like referencing all this stuff doing the house real estate? 00:06:00 Speaker 2: So this is your buddy. 00:06:01 Speaker 3: Twenty eighteen, twenty eighteen. I get out of the army and, like I said, man just kind of hit the ground running with real estate and stuff like that. And then you know, my buddy Aaron is like, Hey, there's these two NFL players they want to start a podcast. We're gonna meet with them. Well, at the time, his buddy was meeting with them. So buddy gets the gig, right Will It's like sure, I mean this guy sells Will a fucking dream that he cannot refuse, and Will will tell you that story better than I ever could, because I still I still hear about it, you know, and I heard about it while I was on the bus. You know, just sells him this dream, right, and I'm coming in as just help. I'm like, hey, this is cool, this is an opportunity. I'm gonna I'm just gonna be there. 00:06:46 Speaker 4: To learn, right. 00:06:47 Speaker 2: You know. 00:06:48 Speaker 3: I wasn't even getting paid at the time. So I came in and uh we signed. 00:06:54 Speaker 4: Like they weren't paying anybody for the longer. 00:06:57 Speaker 6: The first year, the first employees did not get paid. 00:07:01 Speaker 3: Dude. It's compared to what you all are getting now. They're so rich, but now, man, So I came on. I saw it as an opportunity again, like just to showcase like what I can do and in hopes to you know, to continue on the journey with them. But uh yeah, we got brought on for the summer, so you know, it was it was the off season of the NFL and they wanted a bank as many podcasts as possible. So you're you're asking about, like, you know what I thought of Will? Honestly I was. I was intimidated, man, I was intimidated. You got two NFL players. I mean, Taylor is freaking. 00:07:37 Speaker 2: What is it? 00:07:38 Speaker 3: Seven seven seven seven six, Bro so like in me like, I'm yeah, I'm not I'm not gifted in that in that department at all. But now, man, So I really didn't speak to them too much. Man. I just kind of stayed quiet, you know. I spoke when I when I was spoken to, and just learned as much as I could from Aaron because I knew if an opportunity had presented itself and he couldn't be there, that I was gonna be ready for. 00:08:07 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:08:07 Speaker 3: So every morning when we got up to set up the bus, uh to film, I just sat there and I was like, hey, let me set everything up today, and you just watched me. So that's what I did, man, because I had experience in like composition and the cameras and stuff like that. But what I didn't know is how the broadcasting world worked. And at that time everything was brand new. I mean, yeah, you know, there was a road road casters just had came out, like nobody really knew anything about them. You know, you look at that board. It's a little bit intimidating the first. 00:08:35 Speaker 4: Time for sure. 00:08:36 Speaker 3: So my job was to just stay quiet and learn as much as I could. 00:08:40 Speaker 5: Man. 00:08:41 Speaker 3: And but yeah, no, sorry to answer your question, No, I didn't. I didn't feel any kind of way about will is just intimidated, I guess, is what. 00:08:49 Speaker 1: You At the time, thick, I was about to ask, did they They clearly had the bus when you started. 00:08:56 Speaker 2: But y'all were in the gravel parking lot. 00:08:57 Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, So we were in a gravel parking lot at the time, and we were running off of a generator. But that wasn't the only bit of adversity we faced either. I mean, one, we were we were hoping that the generator always had gas or gas and stand by. And then two we we were running power from like several businesses that were that were on that parking lot as well. So there was like a hair salon place that we would in a camper world that we would run power from, and they would get so pissed, dude, because we would trip the breaker, right, they'd be doing people's hair and like just trip the breaker. 00:09:35 Speaker 5: Oh man. 00:09:36 Speaker 3: So like there were a few times where we had to like, you know, sneak up the stairs and like kind of lean over and plug stuff. Oh my gosh, just to try and stay quiet. 00:09:47 Speaker 2: In the train. And then the train's ripping by the train. 00:09:50 Speaker 3: That's another bit of adversity. Yeah, the train would rip by. 00:09:53 Speaker 1: I mean when you when you showed up and that was where you guys were recording out of for you, like what the hell are we getting into middle or it just kind of like this looks fun. 00:10:03 Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, honestly I was. I just I looked at it like it like just an opportunity. 00:10:07 Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, I'm just to figure it out. Yeah. 00:10:10 Speaker 3: I was like, this is kind of crazy, and like I feel like podcasting really wasn't where it is today at that time. Yeah, so I was just like, I guess this is just what they do, yeah, you know, and like the setup in there was really cool, but we had to borrow cameras from like lipscumb like Aaron pulled that off too, because they didn't have cameras or anything. All they had was like the roadcaster and like a couple of mics and stuff like that. But they were like, oh, yeah, by the way, you guys have to have your own cameras. 00:10:38 Speaker 1: Say that you know, will searched how to start podcast Yeah for sure. 00:10:43 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:10:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think the first couple episodes of Busting, we're all audio. They didn't really have a video element to it. That's why, like you won't you won't see a video on those first those first few episodes actually just clips from it. 00:10:57 Speaker 5: Were you there on episode one? 00:10:59 Speaker 3: I was not there one I came in at the first episode I recorded. I believe it was Jalen Ramsey and that was cool. I think it was like episode. 00:11:12 Speaker 6: Six right there, one of the first viral clips. 00:11:16 Speaker 2: It wasn't yeahlfriends. 00:11:21 Speaker 6: I just saw someone made a quote graphic of that, like this was last week and so like that the clip is still reservicing to this day, which is cool. 00:11:29 Speaker 3: That is cool, man. But like seeing him and Taylor meet for the first time was so crazy because like you saw the people on TV right and then you have this division rival coming in to do your podcast, and everybody's just kind of like sitting around watching how they're going to interact. They couldn't You would have thought they were freaking best friends, dude. Like I mean, it was. It was incredible, dude. And but you could see the talent pretty early. The chemistry was there. I honestly never thought that it wasn't. It wasn't gonna. Did I ever expect it to get to this point? No, because I just didn't think the trajectory of like podcasting would be where it is. But to say that I knew that they would be successful based off of just like talent alone and being on the mic, like, it doesn't surprise me at all. 00:12:16 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:12:16 Speaker 6: Yeah, So after this, who would be the next employee that comes into the bust In universe? 00:12:23 Speaker 3: So the next employee that came in was No, Neely was before me Zach and yeah, I'm in black and I'm employee three. 00:12:34 Speaker 2: Zach Patton. 00:12:35 Speaker 3: Yeah, Zach Patton. 00:12:37 Speaker 4: He's the one that always get like yelled at by Will and Taylor, or that Will would yell. 00:12:41 Speaker 5: At he comes for the Dale episodes. 00:12:43 Speaker 3: He's the small, real skinny. At the time, he was full he was a full full time student at uh Yeah. 00:12:51 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he was working with the women's basketball team. 00:12:56 Speaker 6: Yeah, of all films. But I remember me and Garrett got there. It was in the summer, and then like August rolls around. He's like, all right, I gotta go, and. 00:13:03 Speaker 7: We're like, oh, you're you're in college still. 00:13:06 Speaker 6: I remember he always brought a cool talk about feel always bringing cooler of just like waters, gatorades, like a couple like neutrals or something, and Zach is an awesome dude. 00:13:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, because at the time, like he I mean, he knew we were recording in the gravel parking lot without AC. We were recording in the warehouse. Never had a c It wasn't until we showed up here that we finally had. 00:13:28 Speaker 1: Well, there was in the warehouse. There was that little air unit with the hose going up into the window, so not only the generator running, but an AC unit, yeah, plugged in somewhere. So at what point did they move from the gravel lot. 00:13:45 Speaker 6: To west to the warehouse? 00:13:48 Speaker 3: Yes, that was It was definitely before episode one hundred because I remember when David so they all. 00:13:53 Speaker 2: Did a ton in the ground. 00:13:54 Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so like I specifically remember uh, episode one hundred because that's that was a big deal that first first Yeah. 00:14:04 Speaker 4: Huge. What was y'all's first episode thirty three? 00:14:07 Speaker 6: I think that like gift that will gave us of like the plaques of all the episodes that we had been a part of. 00:14:14 Speaker 7: It started at like thirty two or thirty three. 00:14:16 Speaker 3: Yep, yeah, we had just finished. 00:14:18 Speaker 2: Really who was that was? 00:14:19 Speaker 4: That? 00:14:19 Speaker 2: Was that? 00:14:21 Speaker 1: I just remember I remember one of the first ones being like a. 00:14:25 Speaker 6: J Yeah, AJ was definitely Derek. 00:14:29 Speaker 1: I remember having Isaiah Wilson. 00:14:32 Speaker 6: And Jamilligan Titans history and the. 00:14:38 Speaker 1: Like uh Rashwan, Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown came like some of my like the stuff on my phone kind of falls in that window of like pictures being back on the bus because not to get away from bost but the first time I met Will was like two weeks before COVID happened. So yeah, the first time we were back in person was like kind of in that window in the. 00:15:02 Speaker 6: Era of us. Yeah, was the era when we were just every it was like the grossest graphics on top of the screen. 00:15:10 Speaker 3: It's crazy, dude, but you guys, you guys coming in was crucial for a pivot in my life. 00:15:17 Speaker 1: Before we got there. So it was you, Zach and then Alex. When did Alex come on? 00:15:24 Speaker 3: Alex came on right after Neely passed. And again, rest in peace, Matt, Like seriously, dude, seriously miss you. Matt. Matt, Matt hls. 00:15:34 Speaker 4: Sorry. 00:15:35 Speaker 3: Matt holds a special place in my heart because when I came to Tennessee and you know, we started working for Busting together, Like dude, he took me to my first Titans game, and uh, it was cool man, Like Matt, Matt was a big deal around the Titans community. He would never tell you that, but like when I couldn't believe it when when I went to the Titans game with him, dude, I mean we couldn't make it to our seats. Everybody was stopping to say hi to them. O G boys, dude, And I was like, Yo, you downplay this shit. So I was like, He's like, you know it was it was cool man. But he loved it. Man. He loved interacting with everybody and for him to just like you bring me along the way that he did and introduce me though a lot of the Titans fans that I know today. Man, I I love you, dude, and we miss your every day dude. Seriously. 00:16:23 Speaker 6: I was at a Titans game, not last season, but the season before, and someone was wearing a Neely jersey and I was like, man, that's so cool. I do love still around and I liked him. I was like, yo, the boy Neely and he was like, do you know Matt? And he was like an oor guy and He's like, I'm Matt's father. And it was one of those where we like hugged it out and I was like, I now do what he did for busting. Yeah, it was a cool moment. I feel like I'm getting chills talking about it now. But he really did make an impact on a low market NFL team. And if you talk to anyone who's been in the trenches of Tennessee Titans football, you know who who knows Yeah. 00:16:56 Speaker 5: Maybe Bane. I feel like because I never knew Matt, but Nate Baane does such a good job of keeping him, like his spirit alive within. 00:17:02 Speaker 6: The tighten the fuck up. 00:17:05 Speaker 2: He does that for so many every Sunday. 00:17:08 Speaker 3: Like yeah, like, yes, he one hundred percent does it for Matt, but he does it for other people who support the team as well. Dude, even if you're like, I know he's supported this podcast. 00:17:17 Speaker 1: Oh my god, heavy, you're talking about Nate right, yeah, under he's incredible. 00:17:23 Speaker 3: Here again another person who who just opened his arms to somebody who he didn't have to and made me feel like family, dude, Like Nate, you're the man, dude. 00:17:35 Speaker 2: Hell yeah, dude. 00:17:37 Speaker 1: It is wild to think about because I don't like remember the first day being around everybody, but you brought up episode one hundred and that being JP's first day, and the fact that Dave Portanoy was. 00:17:51 Speaker 7: There, brought the pizza box, brought the pizza bocket. 00:17:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like all the things encompassing, like busting barstool, and then that thought of like Dave's looking at this bus and where we're recording, going, what the hell did I sign up for? 00:18:06 Speaker 3: Yeah, he's I mean, he's used to be. He's used to be in a high in a high rise in New York, Right, it. 00:18:12 Speaker 2: Was so funny. 00:18:13 Speaker 5: Well, you said it was pivotal for you, and when Jack and Garrett joined, was that when you were going to the police. 00:18:18 Speaker 3: Cau Yeah, so that you know, I wouldn't have been able to do what I was doing and making that pivot pivot to the police department if it wasn't for you guys, man, because you guys essentially took my place and I was. I was there from a distance, you know, just trying to help as much as I could. But you guys allowed me the opportunity to even explore that because I was fighting an internal battle, like, yes, I was doing this cool job that most people would freaking I mean killed being or do and and it is a great job and it but it comes with a lot, you know, and that's that's a lot of the things that people don't see, Like these guys are grinding. Man. The amount of shows that you guys are putting out now gives me anxiety knowing. 00:19:02 Speaker 6: If it's it's nice to be seen. 00:19:07 Speaker 3: Dude, the amount of anxiety that I would feel doing all that stuff, hoping one stuff works to getting it set up three the editing. I mean, dude, y'all are y'all are absolutely crushing it. Man. It doesn't make me. It makes me so freaking proud to know you guys individually, but uh, y'all are the unsung heroes, dude, of this entire operation. Dude, and uh, I freaking love watching you guys succeed man and do what you do. 00:19:33 Speaker 6: But man, it doesn't it doesn't happen without having people like bloss on a career in your story. Because I can't speak for Garrett, but I feel like I can in this moment when we come in, it's like he said, Will and Taylor, they can be intimidating their NFL players, So on top of all of the existing anxiety that presents itself, you come in and just hope that there's like a cool operation of guys that maybe aren't gonna like be a little competitive or like, hey, you don't come for my job. And Bloss for like day one was always so helpful. Like it's like a guy you've known, like you're just catching up from high school and he never like made it about himself or other people, like just always like involved us and like was there to help and like mentor and train and so like our success doesn't happen without you being there to. 00:20:19 Speaker 1: I feel like some of the even like the smallest things on the bus that like how we operate, how we start the show, how we finish it still is like a in a way, like a BLOSS system is all like that. 00:20:32 Speaker 4: That would be a. 00:20:33 Speaker 2: Mitch there for sure. 00:20:34 Speaker 4: Yeah, because like I think it's funny. The first time we met is when because I came in on like a Wednesday, and like you would back then, you would only come in when we record. First time we met was when we went to Knoxville that weekend. So we were in a car ride for two and a half hours together and I was I. 00:20:50 Speaker 5: Was gone on that one. 00:20:52 Speaker 2: I was three of us were going. 00:20:53 Speaker 4: So nervous because I'm like because I was a fan, so I knew all of like who you guys were, and like I have to say, I knew who Blas was, and I'm like, this guy's like a military guy. He's a cop, like fucking nervous. And we were in the car right. 00:21:05 Speaker 1: For like talking about. 00:21:07 Speaker 4: Yeah, like we met like five forty five six am here at the shop and I'm like, what's up, dude, You're like, what's going on? We just packed everything up and just we were get in the car, sat in the car for and a half hours. Then like that's when we just started talking and like meeting, like getting to know each other and stuff. And on the ride back you try to fix your your Apple car play thing to. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: Get the game Onio was playing. 00:21:32 Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was like and then like I was basically like you you and JP's like assistant, so like I everything I learned on the bus was from YouTube, and like I still feel like I cared, like you didn't play any games when it come to the bus, like don't fuck around and touch stuff. That's how I feel. It still feel like I am, and like I feel like that's kind of how you have to be like with everything you have going on. But it was like everything I've learned and stuff came from you came from GP, like and it's like there's still Blas on the bus from like when you set everything up, like anytime we change something new, it's like there's one piece of Blase taking off the bus, there's another piece of It's like kind of like a little bittersweet, but it's also like that's just how it's. 00:22:18 Speaker 3: That's just how it is, man. I mean the fact that, like, you know, I guess I was able to share some of that stuff with you, man, is is a gift in itself. But like I kind of want to go back to the car ride. 00:22:29 Speaker 1: Dude, because I can only imagine what it was like. 00:22:33 Speaker 4: This is my fourth day on the job. 00:22:36 Speaker 3: Dude, So like, are you driving driving? 00:22:39 Speaker 2: You drove, I drove. You're in the Jeep rap raptor je Upgrade. 00:22:45 Speaker 5: I didn't. 00:22:46 Speaker 3: I thought maybe I felt like I could afford a better gass. 00:22:49 Speaker 6: Always had a good car. 00:22:51 Speaker 2: It was always outside, it. 00:22:53 Speaker 4: Was it was cool driving. That was my first time in a Raptor. I'm like, this is doped ude. 00:22:57 Speaker 3: That was so comfortable. But no, dude, I remember I was like, you want to listen to any music. Do you remember this? 00:23:04 Speaker 4: Yeah? And you were like I think, what do you what do you like? 00:23:07 Speaker 3: And did I say, Mike, Yeah, So we yeah, we were jamming up. We were jamming out the mic a little bit. But then you started playing. 00:23:13 Speaker 7: Like Rogers Islights, we might need to cut that. 00:23:18 Speaker 5: Adam Schefter what you mean and their friends there boys. 00:23:22 Speaker 3: But you started, uh, you started, you started dipping into the stuff that you really liked. Like, yeah, we we shared bike and coming, but then you started sharing like some like rock stuff, some alternative rock stuff. And we had realized Like I was like you didn't, you don't you didn't know this about me, But I was like, you know, I listened to a lot of those same bands. Yeah, and we just started jamming out so like just. 00:23:41 Speaker 4: Just like Underground zero or something or yes, I don't know if that was a band. 00:23:45 Speaker 3: And that's when I was like, all right, this is fucking awesome, this is cool. This guy's gonna be all right like it was when we. 00:23:51 Speaker 4: Were That was when we did p f T in like on the on the practice field and like the literally the first day we was like, hey, you asked me, like you want to do this? I'm like, are you sure, because I don't, like, I didn't want to suck it up, but he let me switch the board and stuff. I'm like, this is so sick. 00:24:09 Speaker 3: Yeah. Remember do you remember trying to find like mic stands because we didn't have mic stands. We had to like those crazy found them like crates inside like the weight room, and I was like, we'll just mount. 00:24:19 Speaker 5: The Rue was crying in the back. I think she had like just been born, just you. 00:24:24 Speaker 1: You problem, solving a mic stand is a bloss. 00:24:28 Speaker 2: Thing to a t P. 00:24:31 Speaker 1: Finding anything to make something stay in place, a camera to be level, that does not surprise me. 00:24:37 Speaker 2: That's hilarious. 00:24:38 Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it was crazy because we were working on an open field and just on the practice field, and you know how it is when you I mean dude again, early bus days we didn't have X amount of sets of cameras. I mean we were ripping down the bus taking it on the road. 00:24:58 Speaker 2: Thank god, that world is pastos, dude. 00:25:01 Speaker 3: I'm so glad. I'm so happy for you. I didn't experience a time when that was it, that was a reality. But uh man, even like having to get back and put that thing together, because we always got back on a Sunday, right. We recorded on Monday, so it's like they're going home, like, if I don't set this thing up now, I'm gonna have to come in super early in the morning and do it. So but yeah, man, those are. 00:25:26 Speaker 6: Also if you're just not listening to a lot of this stuff for the first time, but you're a current busting fan and maybe you've seen some of the lore in the Shop of Clump, Jeremy Clump, who who is basically the office troll. Before there was Jeremy Clump, there was bloss Hernandez, one of the greatest trolls of all time. He used to get me so angry about forty nine ers and Titans football, and then you just look back at him and you have this shittyting grin, just like I got you again, and I just want to know, Blost, are you still a troll? 00:25:59 Speaker 3: That's part of That's part of me that will never leave. The only problem is the people on the receiving that the receiving end of that are now like my step kids, dude. My wife yells at me all the time. It's like, stop messing with them, dude, But I can't, dude. Well, they'll be sleeping, and I know Tito, Tito's still afraid of like monsters and ship like that. Grow up, dude, dude. I'll go by his door and I'll just play like little kids crying in the hallway. 00:26:33 Speaker 4: Oh, that's just being fucked up. 00:26:37 Speaker 5: The little kids crying is crazy. 00:26:40 Speaker 7: They're just creating generational trauma for a laugh. 00:26:43 Speaker 3: Dude, It's just oh man, they are on the receiving end of a lot. 00:26:47 Speaker 1: There's not much that can scare Bloss. I feel like after your life for. 00:26:56 Speaker 5: You don't know what scary. 00:26:57 Speaker 3: Equipment failing, yeah, yeah, we're audio getting dropped or freaking corrupt files. Yeah, there's stuff out there. 00:27:06 Speaker 5: How was it as a massive Niners fan the first time you got to meet George Kittle? 00:27:10 Speaker 4: Dude? 00:27:10 Speaker 3: That was so cool? Man, Like, there are I say this, there's a few people who have who have I've been kind of star struck by or just kind of like at a loss for words. George Kittle is one of them, because yeah, as a massive Niner fan and somebody who couldn't represent the brand any better, and George, like, we're all praying for you, dude, hopefully. Yeah, you know, everything goes well. We miss you. We'll try and I'm sure that the team will bring that thing home. 00:27:36 Speaker 6: Friend of our Show. 00:27:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, George, Yeah that was cool. 00:27:41 Speaker 5: Hall of Fame Human Being. 00:27:43 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:27:43 Speaker 5: Yeah, it's unreal to see everything he does for other people, just hearing all the stories, how he interacts with every single person, no matter what status they are, like, and that's why it sucks so much to see somebody like him to. 00:27:55 Speaker 3: A better person. 00:27:56 Speaker 1: Like Man, Yeah, I feel like I always describe George or somebody that understands his situation in life is so rare, and he does such a good job of not taking it for granted and like share or too seriously, like he truly is having so much fun, but also understands like that he's like I would imagine, like a very lucky guy. Like it's just yeah, he's a good representation of just being a good fun dude. 00:28:25 Speaker 3: I think you put it perfectly. 00:28:26 Speaker 6: Man. 00:28:26 Speaker 3: It's it's somebody who knows the position they're in is going to do everything he possibly can to just touch you know, any fan out there or anybody that supports him or or whatever. Man, if he could just brighten your day, like you could count on George to do it. Man, sure has absolutely no, No, he has no reason or not, like, it's not his obligation to do that. 00:28:49 Speaker 5: Man. 00:28:49 Speaker 3: But just like you said, understand, he's just liked that. He's just a good dude man. And he threw me a follow after that. 00:28:54 Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, there's nothing better than getting followed by some of the guys that come on the bus that are that you're either fans of or just massive names. So when you grow up watching and it's just like, yo, what I actually kind of know this person now. 00:29:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, so George was definitely one of those people. You know who else was? This is kind of crazy Sean Johnson Yeah really yeah, the first female I bet. 00:29:16 Speaker 1: That was crazy, like cause she was what year. 00:29:20 Speaker 5: Two thousand and eight I think was. 00:29:21 Speaker 3: Her those gold medals? 00:29:24 Speaker 5: Yeah, and I was like, bro, that that USA gymnastics team. I feel like for everybody around our age is etched in our brain it's that gymnastics team. And then Michael Phelps eight or nine gold medal run. I can picture all those competitions and all of his I remember where I. 00:29:41 Speaker 1: Was watching Phelps. Yeah like that, like, yeah, that that one will be that's legendary. 00:29:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, man, So seeing her in person was was crazy, Like, I just remember setting up the bus and again this was that we were at the gravel parking lot during her episode Gold Medalist. Yeah, and I like walked out and I in the corner outside of the bus and she's like right there, all pregnant, and I was just like whoa, and like she said hi to me, and I like, and I just dude, oh my gosh. I was like, oh, I'm such it was her and her. 00:30:14 Speaker 2: Husband, right, yeah, hey nasty. I mean, oh, bro, seriously, you're great. 00:30:19 Speaker 3: And then I ran I ran into her. Uh at Jimmy John's, Dude, that's so cool, dude. So like I ran into like, I. 00:30:27 Speaker 7: You love freaky fest ups too, right, dude. 00:30:31 Speaker 3: So I uh, I was walking out of Jimmy John's and the you know, I held the door open and she walks out, but her kids walk out right behind her. She stops them and she goes, what do you say? And they're like thank you sir, like blah blah blah. And I was like, that is so cool, man. 00:30:47 Speaker 4: That's. 00:30:49 Speaker 5: You start playing the grow sounds. 00:30:51 Speaker 3: I was like, what you don't know is I know your mom from way back in the day. 00:30:55 Speaker 6: So that would have been what twenty nineteen, I assume. 00:30:57 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:30:57 Speaker 6: So since then on Busting, I think since Sean Johnson, there's been one of the three other girls too, Bunny. Oh yeah, okay, okay, yeah, so since then we've had four women in almost six years. 00:31:14 Speaker 1: Wait for the next six years, something we won't dive into. 00:31:17 Speaker 5: But I feel like I need to say, just for lore of this is Bloss after Dark. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: We don't have to get into. Yeah, I remember that as a fan. That's how like, I just remember listening to that as a fan. 00:31:30 Speaker 1: Now that you are in Bloss's old seat. They like Will and Taylor used to put Boss in a blender all the time. 00:31:38 Speaker 4: That is that I am the like I think Will and Taylor told me, like, you are the new Blass. 00:31:44 Speaker 1: Like every time it happens, and all I think about is man to prospect here and I. 00:31:49 Speaker 5: Remember, yeah, I remember, let this man speak. 00:31:52 Speaker 4: Remember every time you would try and like speak, you would like stutter, And that's how I was in the beginning. And they're like, really, dude, it. 00:31:58 Speaker 1: Was now that we more, it's easier, but yeah, dude, starting out and they're like you have something to say, You're like, yeah, no, not really, I. 00:32:08 Speaker 3: Just want to be behind the camera just leave me. 00:32:09 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I had. 00:32:11 Speaker 3: I had zero interest of being on the episode or anything like that. But like, and then the times where I felt confident speaking, they made me feel and I was like, yeah, I'm really never fucking talking anything. 00:32:22 Speaker 2: Like yeah, how about the forty nine ers, like shut up boss? 00:32:24 Speaker 3: I was like, oh, yeah, you know forty nine ers and their scheme and Taylor goes, oh, tell me about their scheme and I'm like, uh, I was just using football. Yeah, you so you understand scheme. I don't even understand. 00:32:38 Speaker 4: You were talking about, uh, like your biggest fear of being like corrupt files and stuff, and we talked about it earlier with the Vermont trip. You guys have to dive into that because I wasn't here. 00:32:47 Speaker 2: Is that right before you got here? 00:32:49 Speaker 4: When was that ship? 00:32:51 Speaker 2: Summer? 00:32:52 Speaker 4: Summer? That was summer? 00:32:55 Speaker 2: Really was know what we were out there for? 00:32:57 Speaker 3: Just to remember that. 00:32:59 Speaker 6: Yeah, I know whiskey at six a m. 00:33:03 Speaker 4: I think I think it was right before I had got hired, because I was like reaching out to you guys a bunch because I think you guys went whistle Pig and then went to Green Bad. 00:33:09 Speaker 5: Correct, Yeah, something something like that. 00:33:11 Speaker 4: So but I wasn't here for that. But I just remember, like I even still pick up on the Whar's blase like saying like inside joke, even though I wasn't even there for it. 00:33:20 Speaker 1: Honestly, that like Vermont was so much fun. KO want to expect going there, And it was a blast, such. 00:33:32 Speaker 6: A cool property. 00:33:33 Speaker 2: It was so cool. Our crew so well they did yeah, yeah they yeah. 00:33:37 Speaker 1: Food was great, Drinks were great, obviously, dude. 00:33:41 Speaker 2: One of the vocation was amazing. Like one of the. 00:33:44 Speaker 5: Worst funny things on that trip with Blossom was there was like couches and beds everywhere, and we're all kind of walking around to pick where to sleep. And you walk into kind of like this rec group and Bloss is just on the floor with one pillow, kind of like m Frost Just up, Hey, boss, you know you could go anywhere else to sleep, like there's plenty of beds. No, I'm good where I am. 00:34:08 Speaker 3: Yeah myself, I'm in this man big mansion drunk. 00:34:18 Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, I mean to fast forward one of the nights when I feel like I definitely felt hammered. 00:34:25 Speaker 2: I go up to the room. 00:34:27 Speaker 1: I ended up falling asleep. But you were asleep on the ground next to the bed. 00:34:31 Speaker 2: I was. I was like, what are you doing? Yeah, he was. 00:34:37 Speaker 5: That's the first time I saw the Gary coffin. Let me get comfortable now because also is it so wait, where's bloss happened on that trip? 00:34:46 Speaker 6: Dude? I where's for so long? I truly don't know that. 00:34:50 Speaker 4: I believe it did because you guys were walking to like the next distillery or whatever, and then you were like. 00:34:55 Speaker 1: No, I think it was when we were leaving that dinner. 00:34:58 Speaker 5: Yeah, because he went. 00:34:59 Speaker 6: To like, when I get to that we were in the city. 00:35:03 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad y'all remember, because I'm like, I don't I. 00:35:07 Speaker 6: Swear the weight where we're trying to think of the funniest inside joke that I don't even know if there we all ever know the origin. 00:35:14 Speaker 2: And well, and then so we got there. 00:35:16 Speaker 1: What we did like a tour that first day and then you just got to chill all afternoon. 00:35:21 Speaker 2: We built a fire. 00:35:22 Speaker 1: They had like a sweet little frisbee golf course all swear the yard game. 00:35:30 Speaker 2: Yeah, Jack and Will killed the KFC team. 00:35:34 Speaker 5: I think that lit the fire and fights honestly, because he's been on the fitness kick ever since then. 00:35:40 Speaker 3: Skins and shirts for something to what was that? 00:35:42 Speaker 4: Did we believe the race? 00:35:44 Speaker 5: Yeah? Man, I cannot remember. 00:35:47 Speaker 7: We had to don't drink whiskey at six am. 00:35:50 Speaker 3: I'm glad, y'all. Remember most of this trip is. 00:35:54 Speaker 1: Due. 00:35:54 Speaker 5: I don't know. 00:35:54 Speaker 1: It was just that sip and after like of those ships, your like face felt warm, like you definitely had that. 00:36:04 Speaker 3: Brother, it's coming straight from the barrel. 00:36:06 Speaker 5: Yeah, it's even more Will kiss KFC. Yeah dude, Yeah, and it tells you anything, Yeah, dude, that was It was a lot of fun. The number one moment of that trip a flight debacle. Yeah, helping Blas was trying to figure it out. 00:36:21 Speaker 1: It's just drunk in the back dud well as crazy as we got back from that trip, and Will was like, hey, like, you know, I really need you to like figure this stuff out. 00:36:28 Speaker 2: I'm like I'm driving the car. 00:36:30 Speaker 5: Yeah, I can't like. 00:36:34 Speaker 2: Driving. 00:36:35 Speaker 5: We didn't know how we even had an issue with the flights, but oh it was things we're getting delayed. We were trying to switch top. Yeah, but at dinner, we had an awesome dinner, like downtown whatever city this was, and we're we're just kind of walking around and me and Bloss are kind of towards the back. Everyone is just in that perfect buzz state, so we're all just sort of floating. As we go to the next spot. Wells just kind of drops back and I just hear a little bit of like splattering slash drops on the sidewalk and turn around, kind of turned back, double take. Bloss is kind of wiping his mouth. I don't see anything, but I know I heard something. It was like, Bloss, you just throw up. What are you talking about? Buke on the side. 00:37:20 Speaker 3: Walking, Yeah, yeah, no, that's exactly how it happened. 00:37:25 Speaker 1: No, it was just like that because at that dinner fight that was when fights you got and him got into it because I said I could run a sub five forty. 00:37:34 Speaker 6: And he was like, no, you cannot, man. But yeah, he ended up nothing passing. 00:37:39 Speaker 2: In the middle of the floor by the dark board. 00:37:41 Speaker 3: Dude, Yeah, because we're you're playing a pool, right, yeah, darts. Yeah. I remember, like he was fading. You remember there were times where he'd be on the couch and you just like the dark. 00:37:53 Speaker 5: Yeah, we're playing for money, Yeah, like we can't take this. Man just started yelling about the beach vers like that was when those started. 00:38:07 Speaker 2: That was a good trip. 00:38:08 Speaker 3: Man, that was so fun. Was good to us to be able to like put a bourbon together like that was cool. Man. 00:38:15 Speaker 6: I'm glad we're that was whistle Pig anymore solely because they got rid of the guy who hosted up. Yes, he went old guy who was. 00:38:22 Speaker 2: Like he was with like U XK. 00:38:25 Speaker 1: He was like in that world extreme sports with whistle Pig. 00:38:29 Speaker 6: And then yeah, once he left, I felt good that we were no longer with the company. I hope they're doing well. But that dude what I forget his name, I forget everything about the trip, but where's was? But he was all time. 00:38:42 Speaker 5: School. Probably doesn't even realize how much we say where's blo? 00:38:45 Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I have no idea every trip, every trip, every trip out of somewhere, like everybody got everything. 00:38:52 Speaker 5: Somebody says, wait, where's block. 00:38:53 Speaker 6: I still don't know how it began. 00:38:55 Speaker 4: Maybe it's that one and then it's like, wait, this isn't brothers. 00:38:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, I hope to one day to get to be be on a trip with you guys. 00:39:05 Speaker 2: What are you doing super Bowl? 00:39:06 Speaker 5: Hey? 00:39:06 Speaker 3: That would be cool. Yeah, that's we know. 00:39:10 Speaker 5: Boss won't take up a bed, he'll be on. 00:39:11 Speaker 3: Yeah, right, you ain't got to worry about anywhere. I'll find it. I'll find a place. But no, it would just be cool to just hang out with the boys, man. Like I feel like the only time I get to see you guys is if, like you know, I come here or you know, I want to do a better effort of getting you guys out to the property, but also bring you into some of the stuff that I'm doing now. I get you out to like a shooting range. 00:39:31 Speaker 2: And stuff like that. 00:39:32 Speaker 3: Do some stuff for inside the bus, like the scenes content stuff like that, Like I know you had you got to experience it. 00:39:38 Speaker 4: Uh yeah, very highly. 00:39:42 Speaker 3: But we got to get you guys all out there, man, dude. 00:39:44 Speaker 5: Another one of my favorite Bloss stories. Bloss this was the day he was crowned the King of Karma and he posted a story on April. 00:39:52 Speaker 1: Fools, dude, and this was the craziest. 00:39:58 Speaker 2: Thing of all time when I'm was your you're about to find out. 00:40:02 Speaker 5: Bloss He posted a photo on April Fools in the hospital bed like hooked up to IVY or whatever, like facing out and naturally everyone swipes up, Bro, are you good? He's like, no, I'm just messing with y'all. Whatever it was, and I kid you not. A week later, this man posts another one and I'm like, why are you still trolling? He's like, nah, broh toward my a c l like no shot would happened. He is a trampling. 00:40:29 Speaker 6: I remember he said you went up trying to be Kobe and then you came down. Your knee just exploded. 00:40:34 Speaker 3: That's exactly how it happened, man. But it was April fools. 00:40:37 Speaker 5: Man. 00:40:37 Speaker 3: I just found like I was like, man, like, what's a good April Fools joke? 00:40:41 Speaker 2: And I was scrolling. 00:40:42 Speaker 3: I was scrolling on Google. I found this. I think the dude's foot was white. Dude, It's like if you didn't pay attention to the photo, like that has an infection, man you But yeah, I posted this photo of this dude in the same leg and everything right, leg wrapped up little bit. I took the exact same photo a week later after I tore uh my patella. It was, and uh yeah, I was at the trampoline park just trying to impress my step sod, letting him know I still had it, and went up for the Kobe under the legs and me just exploded in the air. 00:41:14 Speaker 6: Dude, you having to get on the bus from the back. 00:41:18 Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, wiped. 00:41:23 Speaker 3: That was It was a it was like a little step ladder. 00:41:26 Speaker 5: Yeah, it's still there, still there, the same ladder. 00:41:29 Speaker 7: I gotta get I gotta get flowers. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: Uh. 00:41:32 Speaker 6: King of Karma. He also might have switched up once he left Busting and became King of good Karma because there was a time when I was dating my ex girlfriend and she lived in a bad part in North Nashville, and there were some bad gun shots that went off. So Boss was a patrol man at this time. I call him. I'm like, hey, I don't know if you mind like coming over. I can't remember if I was there. I don't I don't think I was there, and I was in town, so I was on my way and you're like, don't worry, I go check it out. I pull up. Boss is out front the squad car, like making sure everything's good. My girlfriend at the time, she's like all razzled bloss stays out in front of her house all night in the squad car, chill and just making sure everything's cool. And I'll never forget that man, even though hopefully I'll forget that girl. I'll never forget what you did, so I do appreciate. 00:42:19 Speaker 3: It's just it's it's nice to be able to to do stuff like that, man, especially like in the position that I'm in now. Man Like, anytime I get an opportunity to just like help somebody, man Like, that's what it's all about, dude, That's what I mean. That's what friendships are for, man. And I know you guys would do the exact same thing for me if I ever needed anything. So it's just nice, dude. It's it always feels good to feel, you know, to help somebody out there that you love and care about. 00:42:43 Speaker 5: Change is that. 00:42:45 Speaker 2: I feel like my question is going to lead that another way if you want to go. 00:42:48 Speaker 4: Okay, I was gonna I was just gonna say you saying that reminded of me of when you when you two conspired to shift night. 00:42:56 Speaker 5: I don't know how much details we can go into, Okay, so we're good. 00:43:00 Speaker 3: Definitely hit that statue of limitations, yeah. 00:43:04 Speaker 5: Man, Mischief Night another personal Hall of Fame bloss moment for me. We we set up the scene to roll Will's house on Mischief Night, and all the boys are in on it. We're all hype, and I'm thinking, man, how can we take this to the next level? And who do you call when you want to take things to the next level? You call Bloss called bloss Of. I'm like, hey, we got to pull off this double prank on the boys. This is what time will be there? Do you think you can make it? In mind you I did this very last minute and. 00:43:32 Speaker 3: So last minute. It was Game seven of the World Series, and I'm a big Dodger fan. 00:43:38 Speaker 5: And bloss still showed up. And dude, when he rolled up, I mean, it could not have turned out better. I Delainey the fence. 00:43:48 Speaker 4: Yes, I am within his back in Will's. 00:43:52 Speaker 6: Backyard, jumped or jumped the fence. 00:43:54 Speaker 4: I thought went with him, though, I think, yeah, I put through brother, the video you have of all of us just walking down. 00:44:01 Speaker 2: The street with we parked right next to youear. 00:44:03 Speaker 4: I guess. 00:44:06 Speaker 3: Yeah. So I'm watching the whole time, and I'm like, I hope they don't see me. I reclined the seat back, but I'm like, I got a capture investigator. 00:44:19 Speaker 4: Everybody. 00:44:21 Speaker 5: He said, oh ship the cops. 00:44:25 Speaker 3: Dude to feel that though, like, I'm so envious of that feeling. 00:44:28 Speaker 6: I can still feel the rush I got when Delaney screamed that, and everyone just. 00:44:32 Speaker 2: Kind of a nice rush. 00:44:35 Speaker 4: Somehow, Will still didn't realize we were out there with the lights on. 00:44:38 Speaker 6: He just was pregnant. 00:44:42 Speaker 3: Pregnant sorry due to uh dude, the way you guys described it, the one like when you guys debriefed it after man is just like, Man, I feel like a kid again. Man, I feel like a kid. Yeah, because I used to do that stuff when I was a kid. Why we that feeling resonates with us, man, But used to go ding dong ditch man, you. 00:45:02 Speaker 5: Know, used to people's running from the cops like there's just nothing better. 00:45:06 Speaker 2: So we would just do that. 00:45:07 Speaker 3: We would see we would see cops on the road and me and my buddies we would be out past curfew, and we just start running. 00:45:12 Speaker 8: Didn't do anything, start running just to see, just to feel that rush, man, and to know that I was able to give you guys that feeling a true gift. 00:45:22 Speaker 3: Dude, So cool. 00:45:24 Speaker 5: Last like on the funny side, I don't know if your goal more serious. One of my other favorite blossism is just when he would post hilarious food on Twitter, like what. 00:45:34 Speaker 6: Like it'd be like gross, hot dogs up. 00:45:36 Speaker 5: It's like it'd be like dinner tonight. 00:45:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, hot dog salad was the one. 00:45:41 Speaker 2: Bro. 00:45:43 Speaker 1: No, My my question was gonna like start leading into when you left busting to go pursue what you're doing now if you wanted to kind of get into that, because you mentioned earlier that like us coming on kind of helped you see this other lane that you kind of wanted to You're welcome to see. 00:46:01 Speaker 3: Yeah, no, seriously, I appreciate it. But yeah, no, So it was obviously like an internal battle that I was I was fighting at the time, man, because you like your gifted this opportunity, and you don't want to seem unappreciative of the opportunity. But at the same time, like Will, Will is like such a reasonable person man, and just kind of he just gets it. So when I had told him, I was like, hey, man, like I'm really fighting this internal battle. I had served in the military for nine years and that feeling of like of service hadn't left me. And like I said, it was something that I was battling every day on the bus, and I was just like, man, should I be doing something something else? Like I was so used to just doing something bigger than myself and not saying that, like, you know, working for the bus didn't do anything for me internally, It one hundred percent did. I was just fighting a different battle internally. So I brought it up to him, and I still remember I like, I was in East Nashville at the time, and I pulled in the burger up the parking lot and uh. I just remember calling him and I was like, hey, Will, like, I really think like I want to, like, I think I'm gonna go to the police academy. And it kind of caught him off guard and he's like what. I was like, man, Like, I'm just I'm really finding this internal battle and I just feel like, you know, that's where my that's where my purpose is at. And he's like all right, He's like, what is it What is a number that it would take to keep you here? And I was like, holy crap, Like what a number? Like you mean like like like a dollar amount And he's like, yeah, what you know, what number is it going to take for you know, to keep you here? And I was like, I was like, well, I don't think there's a number that I could put on a piece of paper that could uh that could replace what I'm feeling right now. And he's like, I respect that. He's like, I can't, I can't. I can't put a price on purpose. And he's like, go go do what you need to do. And I was like, I know at that moment, I felt like, you know, weight was lifted off of my shoulders because like for somebody like him, you know, and Taylor, like, dude, you're on this trajectory path. You know, you're having success and your main producer is telling you that they you know that they want to leave. I don't even know how they felt about it, you know, at the time. But the way will handled it, I'll always I'll always be grateful for because had he said something else or made me feel guilty about it, it's probably something that I would I would uh, I would resent him for right, you know, and not pursuing you know, that career path man. So I mean, I appreciate the way he handled that, man, And I don't think I've ever told him that publicly. So if he sees this, you know, hey it man, thank you. 00:48:50 Speaker 5: Yeah, watching will operate with you in that moment and then the moment when you fully left. Yes, just says everything you need to know about Will as a person, and you know, he's he is a good lead and like somebody that you do want. 00:49:01 Speaker 2: You said it like it. 00:49:03 Speaker 1: That is something that is so scary to go and try and tell your boss in a very cool situation that we're all part of that. You know, it's just there's something inside that isn't getting itched and I gotta see it through. And yeah, to get that responses, I'm for you. I'm sure you're kind of like, all right, that proves even more of the point that I need to go and. 00:49:27 Speaker 2: See what this other opportunity could could have for me. 00:49:30 Speaker 3: Yeah, no, for sure. And he was like, he's like, hey, can you just do me one favor and can you just can you just help you know, whoever replaces you. And at the time, you know, Zach Patton was you know, coming back from school, I think he was on break or whatever, and he was going to fill in, and then COVID happened. Having you guys there, y'all, y'all literally made the transition so so seamless for me to allow and do that and get through the academy and then you know, finishing at the academy and talking to Will, He was like, you want to come back so sick, And I was like, for real. 00:50:02 Speaker 4: I didn't know that. So you had left for a bit and then came back for a bit. 00:50:06 Speaker 3: I left for a bit, but I was still still helping and Will didn't know that. So Zach, you know, Zach, Zach was you know, making phone calls. I was still helping him edit it. At time, I couldn't get could I didn't want to tell Will and he found out later on, But like I couldn't get paid during that time because I was working where I was at. And I think that spoke a lot to Will to know that, like I had still been helping, not asking for anything, and yeh, you know, you know I think that, uh. 00:50:39 Speaker 1: Well, there's like a weird thing I feel like with this place that a lot of us sitting here can agree on is being there so early and you obviously before us, Like there is a weird like sense of like ownership in it, and so you trying to help that next wave whatever it is. Like, yeah, I mean that is obviously helped us get going, and it it's only helped the rest of how Buston is gone. 00:51:03 Speaker 2: So I mean, you know. 00:51:06 Speaker 7: That mean with the Ninja Turtles and Splinter and then they're grown up. 00:51:12 Speaker 5: And like go to post that. 00:51:17 Speaker 4: Like it's kind of going off like what you said, like being able to trust us to like, all right, I know when he when you were training JP, I trust JP, He's not going to fuck this up. And then when you were training me, I trust mit, she's not gonna suck this up. Like I'm sure we didn't really know it at the time, but like thinking about it that way, it's like it's cool that you trusted us that much, and like we trusted you to like teach us and everything, which is it's it's cool to like think back. 00:51:42 Speaker 3: On hearing hearing that is is such a such a such a reward man that like I didn't anticipate like getting like emotional or whatever, but like hearing that man like brings me so much joy and uh again, like it just it continues to just uh, you know, to make me make me proud of this brand, dude, because the right people are running the ship, dude, and the right people are behind the scenes. Like I feel like you guys have yet to miss on the people that you guys bring in even even even since you guys have like kind of taking the reins. Man, Like all these all the new guys that are showing up and doing it like they're just like they fit in, man, And it's like it's really freaking cool. Man. It's it's so nice to be able to come back here, yeah you know, and uh and just experience and still be a part of it, man, because like a lot of me does miss it. You know. 00:52:32 Speaker 1: I can't put a price on purpose, though, are Yeah, you gotta come back for four square when we get going. 00:52:39 Speaker 3: It's been fun too, man, I'm telling you, there's a lot of times where I'm just. 00:52:43 Speaker 1: Like, Thursday, dude, you did that to somebody? 00:52:51 Speaker 2: Yeah you did you? I know. But you know what I'm saying. 00:52:55 Speaker 1: Here at the shop, you pull in behind like a guest or somebody was it Lany? 00:53:00 Speaker 2: It might have been somebody. 00:53:02 Speaker 1: Boss has great pranks now that he's yeah. 00:53:06 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah. Whoever has the task of arresting that man. 00:53:14 Speaker 1: Could look yeah human, it's easier. 00:53:18 Speaker 3: Yeah, he just used weapons. That's why you got a gun belt. 00:53:20 Speaker 6: Anytime, anytime, like if I get pulled over in Nashville, I immediately am shooting bloss of text. 00:53:26 Speaker 7: I'm like Hey, is there any way I'm getting out of this. 00:53:27 Speaker 6: Tickele And he's like and he's like, dude, this is not my side. It's like I swear I would I would do it. And then I like, I hit up Bloss for every petty crime that happens in my life. When my headphones got stolen to Second Vegas the second time in Nashville. They have been Clarksville, and he's like, bro, I'll come pick you up right now. 00:53:44 Speaker 2: We'll go. 00:53:45 Speaker 6: I'm just gonna let you know. It's at an apartment complex, so if you're prepared to go knock on every door, I'll come pick you up. And I'm like, no, I'm not doing that, but I do appreciate you being ready. 00:53:54 Speaker 3: Well, I know, because I like, dude, if it pops up on my feet, I'm like and it's like, I'm. 00:53:59 Speaker 6: Pretty sure hit me up like oh yeah on Twitter and he's like, bro, are we rolling? 00:54:05 Speaker 3: Like I said, man, any anytime I get a chance to help, you. 00:54:09 Speaker 2: Know, yeah, don't mess with us here at the bus, dude. 00:54:13 Speaker 5: So I like when you left Busting Forward the last time, like when it was final. Obviously there's some anxiety that goes into that and I think it's cool because I mean, you already had another full time job as well. But there's a lot of people out there that listen. I feel like, especially our core demographic that probably listens to this, who always think about a career change, or even if you love your job but you feel called to something different, what is just like some advice. I know you have the the no price on purpose, but like when you were officially making the jump, like were you anxious? Were you a little bit scared? And what kind of put those things at ease? 00:54:53 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:54:54 Speaker 3: No, And I appreciate you asking that question because I think this is this is really important for a lot of people to hear. So this wasn't the first time I made a transition, right, Like I'd got out of the army after giving nine years, you know, of service. So there's a part of you, there's a part of that situation that prepared me for leaving for busting right, And I watch it happen so many times with like younger soldiers, older soldiers, and even soldiers out there today, you know, committing suicide. You know, there's twenty two soldiers that commit suicide each and every day, and that stuff's not forgotten. But I feel like a lot of those a lot of those suicides probably come from people who place their identity into something so much that you forget who you are at the core, and the moment that that's stripped away from you, you find out who you are. So anybody that's out there who's making a transition, whether it's on your terms or whether it's on their terms, because it can happen to anybody, don't place your identity into something so much that it handicaps you. And that goes that would I fault? I took that and I came to busting with that because this brand is so big now and it's, like you said, you take ownership and a lot of the things that you do here right because you helped it grow. But if I would have held onto that and made it my identity so much that it handicapped me, I wouldn't have been able to make that transition. So if you're out there, you're a police officer, you're a soldier, you're a part of a brand that you're proud of, Like, don't put your identity in it man so much that it handicaps you. You know, be who you are, Be proud of who you are at the core and what you bring to the table as an individual. Don't let that brand define you, let your last name, let the name on your back define you. 00:56:50 Speaker 2: Hell yeah, hell yeah. 00:56:52 Speaker 5: That was awesome, man, And it's like one of my favorite you know, Simon Sinek, he has this thing where he's it's like the the theme of it is All You'll Ever Deserve is a styrofoam cup, and he talks about how one year he was invited to speak at this conference. And when he was invited to speak at this conference, his plane ticket was paid for, he was in first class, he had a driver at the hotel, he had coffee waiting for him and everything. And then the following year he wasn't a speaker, he still wanted to go to the conference. He paid for his plane ticket, he booked his own hotel, and he had to pick up his own coffee. And his whole thing was people are respecting you, not for like the person that you are, but for the position you're in. And so always keep that in mind when like, you know, don't confuse your position with your person like with your personality with your absity. And it's because that was a perfect way to explain it on your end. So that was awesome. That was a great explanation. 00:57:48 Speaker 3: I appreciate it, man, And like I said, Man, it just made the transition easier. 00:57:51 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:57:52 Speaker 3: Was it bittersweet? Absolutely, you know when when Will and I sat down, and it's crazy that there was a fan there they he captured that much. 00:58:03 Speaker 5: Because I could remember fel was one of the people from the squad or feels. 00:58:05 Speaker 3: A random was like I remember tweeting, you know, just kind of like that I was leaving the podcast and somebody posted under that and saying like I think this is the moment where and I was like, I'm not going to acknowledge that, but yeah, that. 00:58:23 Speaker 2: Is but it was. 00:58:25 Speaker 3: It was crazy, man. And I still remember the conversation. Bill was so great about it, man, and he was just like, you know, just asking me, like, are we ever going to get you full time? You know, one last effort, you know, but it's like, you know, you get to you get to leave, you know, with your head held high and proud of you know, the work that you did and where the brand was at man. And it's it's something that I carry with me and I'm proud of and I'll display all over my new office. You know, the accolades and the you know, the plaque that he gave us, you know, the silver play button, all that stuff, you know, will be hanging on my walls and proud and continuing to root this brand on absolute leaving on your. 00:59:07 Speaker 6: Own terms is powerful stuff. 00:59:09 Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely. 00:59:10 Speaker 4: It's like one of the things here, Like I mean, it's always an open door, right you can literally just show up when you want, and it's. 00:59:16 Speaker 3: Like, that's the coolest thing. 00:59:19 Speaker 4: Man. 00:59:19 Speaker 3: It's like nobody has ever nobody, nobody has ever made me feel unwanted here. You know, Will Taylor always embraced me like I'm family. You know, you guys the same thing. I mean, it's just cool, man. It's always nice to come back. I try to stay away because, like I said, you don't want to be that guy hanging around. But it also just makes seeing you guys that much more special. 00:59:40 Speaker 7: Right, absolutely, I think of anything you don't come around enough. 00:59:44 Speaker 3: And dude, rind and dude, I know what it's like for people to come in and just throw you off your rhythm and your flow, especially with everything that you guys have. 00:59:54 Speaker 4: Day like football season is different. 00:59:56 Speaker 3: But I mean Thursday streams if y'all want the boy to ever pop in because those look like a lot of fun. Dude watch yeah, dude, So because I was to see him today. 01:00:07 Speaker 2: You just miss Delaney too. 01:00:08 Speaker 4: Oh he always Clay always bounces right away whenever we're done. 01:00:11 Speaker 3: Really Yeah, because he went to a Goora high school and I went to real Mesa, so we're like rival school. Yeah, I just missed Clay. But I believe I played against his brother Casey uh when he was an Oaks Christian and stuff like that. 01:00:26 Speaker 5: That's so crazy and is so small. 01:00:28 Speaker 3: So small man. But I just remember hearing all about Clay Matthews like in high school. Yeah, so it's cool. I was hoping to say, what's up. 01:00:38 Speaker 5: And we got you gotta come those worlds together. But yeah, if you can somehow sneak by before NFL season's over, meet each other. 01:00:45 Speaker 3: So is he living here full time? 01:00:47 Speaker 5: Yeah? And so yeah, he's full time with the NFL locker room. So obviously there's only like two weeks. 01:00:54 Speaker 3: But even Delaney too as a as a forty nine er fan, like delay, you're forty You're not tight, don't do this man that man, Yeah, we were man, because we had Vernon Davis. But like Niner fans still remember how alive he did come up, Like, yeah, his talents were were unleashed and unlocked when he came to Nashville, but like you bet you're ass he wasn't. He was still balling on the Niners behind the scenes and under the radar out there. But we had got on the times for seeing that. 01:01:25 Speaker 6: We had Delaney on a couple of months ago and he like fully walked us through like his first years in the league and I don't think I really like sat down and like actively listened to every detail and it's such a just awesome story. 01:01:37 Speaker 7: Go check out that episode if you're. 01:01:41 Speaker 6: Crazy, bro. Yeah, And Delaney is another guy that's like tight, similar like to George Kittle to where it's like he has every he's and especially like where he grew up and like the circumstances and him making it out of that. He's just one of the nicest, most respectable guys, funniest dudes. 01:01:56 Speaker 1: And he talked about in that episode just being like I know that I had like I had talent, but people helped me get here and I am not taking that for granted. 01:02:06 Speaker 2: But he definitely gets it too. 01:02:09 Speaker 4: He's the man. He just comes back and hangs out with us for twenty thirty minutes when we're dow in the locker room and it's like there's nothing laughter the entire time. 01:02:19 Speaker 7: That today you just talking about Snowboarding's like, yeah, you snowboard? 01:02:23 Speaker 3: Following his build on YouTube. 01:02:26 Speaker 5: Crazy right, his bro. 01:02:29 Speaker 6: And there to floor. 01:02:30 Speaker 2: No, he's gotta get. 01:02:34 Speaker 4: In the spring and the spring we're gonna try and go out there. 01:02:36 Speaker 5: Oh that would be suiting a dirt bike track. 01:02:38 Speaker 3: Like, dang, that's awesome, dude. Yeah, I was following on YouTube and I'm like, holy crap. Yeah, I got a lot of ideas. 01:02:45 Speaker 2: From him, That's what I was just saying. 01:02:47 Speaker 6: Yeah, a quick circle back to bust In lore stuff outside of George Kittle, Is there any specific guess from your times with bust In that like really impacted you or was just like a fan favorite for you. 01:02:59 Speaker 3: Yeah. So, Brian Peters of course would carry water bro. Brian Peters is one of the coolest dudes man ever. Man. I mean, he's he's definitely one of those guests that he's just not a guest man. He's like family, you know, And he and he and he and he brings you in like family. Again. Like when I got to follow from Brian, like I was pumped because like, yeah, he was a guest on The show Man, but he becomes more than that. 01:03:26 Speaker 1: Man. 01:03:26 Speaker 3: He's so relatable and always willing to lend some advice, especially like in the fitness world. I would always like reach out to him and ask him questions and stuff like that, especially like cold therapy, breathing, Like he was always always available, dude, And like, again, somebody doesn't have to do that, but just happy to like share. 01:03:45 Speaker 1: He's somebody that like listens and remembers the conversation you had the next time you see him, will ask about that. 01:03:50 Speaker 6: He's also one of the guys who built how we got Dude, I. 01:03:57 Speaker 5: Feel like he's a guest that he's like he has to be as close as military mindset as you can get without being in the military. 01:04:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, because he does some stuff for like the Green Berets and stuff like that out there. And uh yeah, I still follow follow him. Follow It's always ring for him, dude. Yeah, he's gotta be. He's right up there, man, I mean George Kittle, Brian Peters, Darren Waller, but again, somebody else, you know who just is available, like makes himself available. Who else is I mean jelly Roll Ernest, like you know, have relationships with them that have like here's a cool jelly Roll story. So jelly Roll. It was like probably a couple of years ago. It's like maybe like two years ago. He was playing at the halftime show for the Titans in this like he was he was definitely like on the rise at that point, and I was just so happened to be at the game and uh he's performing at halftime, and uh I shoot him a text message and I'm like, hey, brother, can't wait to see you for for himlahlah blah. He's like, oh, you're in the stadium and I'm like yeah. He's like after I'm done performing, He's like come up to the box and I'm like, no freaking way. And Casey's with me, my wife and my buddy Jason is with me at the time. Twelfth Titan shout out Jason, twelfth Titan, Let's go. So Jason's Jason's a great friend of mine and somebody I met through bussing' as well and has always been like so nice and just hey, man, I got an extra ticket. He's a season ticket holder, so he'd always bring me along and stuff like that. But so he's with me. The three of us are there, and uh, I was like, hey, Jelly just told me to come up to the box, and like, Jason's kind of nervous, and I'm like, what's up. He's like, bro, remember I told you like I used to record songs with Jelly roll back in the day. I'm like, no way, and uh He's like yeah, and he's like so he's just kind of nervous. He's like, I wonder if he's gonna remember me. So we got try to get up to the box. I don't have credentials, but who do I call? Hey, Nate, Jelly just invited me to the box. He comes down, he gets me. We walked past everybody, right, It's like, hey, they're with me. He takes me up to Jelly's box, give Jelly a big old hug, introducing my wife, introducing to Jason. They hit it off. They remember, and I was like, this is so freaking cool man to be able to like I think I think that's something we all secretly love about this job, is being able to share it with as many people as we possibly can and right and bring them in, you know, inappropriate times. Man, So to be able to do that for him, and then for Jelly just to like just just remember somebody on the bus and invite me up there. His old family's up there and everything like that. Again, doesn't have doesn't need to do that. Just such a kind soul man. 01:06:52 Speaker 5: You and artists have a really cool relationship too. I remember he texts you after something happened with while you were a cop, and he's just checking in on you, a man, are you all good? 01:07:00 Speaker 4: And that's just man. 01:07:01 Speaker 3: I can always I can always count on getting a text message from Ernest when something crazy goes down, especially the days that I was a patrol officer. But I remember when he was when when Ryman was first born, he used to he used to roll around North Nashville with Ryman just to put him to sleep. At like three four in the morning. Dude, He's just like, threw it, I'm gonna go for a drive. And I remember he called me. He's like hey, man, like are you up, And I'm like, yeah, I'm working, and he's just like, oh, I'm just in northern Nashville, just driving around or whatever if you're around and I'm like, dude, meet me in this parking lot. And so meet me in the parking lot and we're just we're just hanging, well, ryming, sleeping and you know, we grab a we grab a picture together. I'll make sure to send you guys that and stuff like that. But like again, man, just just some cool humans and I love that, you know, the brand was able to like, you know, kind of introduce me to those guys and they're friends. Yeah for ever now, man. 01:07:55 Speaker 2: Yeah, so cool man. That's hilarious around. 01:07:59 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the most earned thing. 01:08:01 Speaker 6: Though. 01:08:03 Speaker 5: One of my favorite videos on the internet is Rhyman meeting Snoop Dogg. 01:08:06 Speaker 2: What's up Snoop dog Yeah. 01:08:11 Speaker 4: Yeah, so you obviously left our podcast however long ago that was, but now you're doing you started up another one. 01:08:19 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:08:20 Speaker 3: So a buddy of mine Zach and uh Zachary Bell and and Nick. He goes by the Fat Electrician. We uh yeah, so funny. Everybody's so so nervous to talk, like to dress Nick by his actually like his name, the fat Electrician. So like you're the electrician guy on the internet, right, and like it's okay you can say fat, So it's kind of like it's funny. Yeah, but we so Zach hit me up actually after I had left Busting, and uh, I was just like, dude, I just left like one of the biggest podcasts. Dude, Like I don't I don't want to do this, Like I left probably the biggest platform. Like I'm not gonna help you start a podcast. But he just like blugged me for like months and months and months, and I'm like, what exactly are you trying to do. He's like, man, it's gonna be one month, bi weekly. You record whenever you want, get the episode done whenever you want, like on your terms. Everything's on your terms. And I'm like, all I find dude, Oh, we'll help you. So we started this podcast called the After Action Podcast where he would just have like a lot of it was like military centric, just bringing in veterans telling their story all that stuff. It goes really well well. He has the fat electrician on there, and they hit it off really well. We ended up recording like three episodes like for three hours and ended up staying in the studio for like five hours. Dude, Like that's how that's how good they hit it off. So fast forward. You know, a couple of months, we stopped doing the the after Action podcasts just because of studio space issues and stuff like that, and we decide to show fit for the moment. Well, at the time Nick and Zach get together, they come up with this idea to start their own their own podcast. They approached me at one of the range days that we had and they're just like, hey, we want to start a podcast. I'm right. I'm like, I'll never get out of this world further I try to pull myself, the more fucking get sucked in. So they they approached me and they're like, well but hold on, you're not We don't want to just hire you, like we want to make you an owner in the brand. And I was like how much are we talking? Because I want and it's not about the money. I just wanted to make sure that it's worth the time to be away from my family, like you know at this like I'm married, i have two step kids, like who I love spending time with their like my best friends, you know, and like if I'm gonna do something else, I just I want to make sure it's it's worth it, you know. So you know, they you know, we agreed on ownership and uh yeah, so we started the Underwhelming podcast is what it's called. 01:10:57 Speaker 6: And such a good name. 01:11:01 Speaker 3: Well it's just it's on brand, man, Like you can't funk up when your name it's on brand. And you know, it's like so much that like we've created merch with like hats and it's just like awesome, a blank hat and just that's underwhelming. 01:11:13 Speaker 2: That's fantastical. 01:11:15 Speaker 3: So but yeah, man, it's a it's been fun. We go out to Iowa to record. We have a studio there and then I'm building a studio inside my house to be the Nashville location. So we'll just go back and forth. And it's doing really well right now. 01:11:31 Speaker 7: So we were looking at the numbers before this and it is doing well. 01:11:35 Speaker 4: It's doing very well. Let's go go tap into that for sure, because that's that's awesome. 01:11:40 Speaker 6: It's you have to tell your chief of police, hey man. 01:11:46 Speaker 3: That's a that's Nick. Nick and Nick and Zach's inside Joe or something. They tell me, they're like, don't worry. I don't worry. Sooner or later you'll be quitting. Quit. And I'm like, like, what's the number. I was like, you're gonna have to triple my salary. They're like done. I'm like, I'm like. 01:12:05 Speaker 2: Geez dude. 01:12:06 Speaker 4: I was like, hopefully this thing keeps like blowing up, and then like you would be on the ground floor of two yeah, monumental podcasts, but like in two completely different realms of like. 01:12:20 Speaker 1: I guess you could say content, which if you want to start a podcast started, He's open for business. 01:12:28 Speaker 2: Just d M. 01:12:28 Speaker 6: Bloss regardless with that, with that, he likes to talk, he likes to comments. 01:12:33 Speaker 2: But where's bloss I. 01:12:35 Speaker 3: More than surpassed my word count from being four years. 01:12:38 Speaker 6: Yeah. 01:12:41 Speaker 5: Yeah, do y'all have anything more? 01:12:45 Speaker 4: How long we've been going? Money might be the longest podcast we've had. 01:12:50 Speaker 6: Yeah, final question or if anyone else, I'm just curious, is there is there any plans for Blosser And is in the future outside I know you're you're currently building your house. I won't disclosed where that is, but what's what's in the future for b loss and what are you excited for? Yeah? 01:13:06 Speaker 3: So I think the things that I'm I'm most excited for is is to really just kind of create an environment where you know, and that's with you know, the podcast that we're starting right now, Like I just want to create an environment in an event where I can just invite my favorite people and bring them all together, even if it's just one day out of the year, Like to be able to create something that people are excited to come to, but also just like a reunion of again, just my favorite people in the world, whether it's family, friends, or people that I've crossed paths with. Man just to create an event that people are excited for and just come hang out for a day. 01:13:49 Speaker 4: I remember is at your wedding and we went to like that after bar or after party bar, like we were sitting down talking and stuff, like just catching up, and then I remember you were talking to Brook for a little bit and like that was I think that may have been like your first time ever meeting Brookes, and like you were talking about like how much it means to like be with the people that you care about and stuff, and that it was like really cool. It's like you just met Brooke and you were like like because she was like with me, it's like, oh, she's family, and it was it was like really cool because like that's just the kind of guy you are, just like somebody who's connected to somebody that you know, it's like they're in and it was really dope for like your wedding, to bring all the right together. 01:14:32 Speaker 5: Yeah, that that was fun. Man. And on the note of bringing people together, hopefully we get another snowstorm because also one of my favorite memories of bloss bloss mea t do Casey. We met up at the Capitol Hill the last snowstorm and we just started ripping hills and it was one of the most fun snow days of all time. And to watch Blossy step dad to me and Tito is awesome because those kids are incredible. They have the best time and this guy he brings them out to the skate park like I don't know, watching it just on Instagram, and then also just getting to share the one day of sledding like pure kid joy for all of us now, like I was having just as much fun as them. Yeah, it was. It was so cool. So hopefully on the next snow day we can all get out to Capitol. 01:15:19 Speaker 3: They got to meet their other uncles, man Jp. Yeah, JP brought him on push up Tuesdays. 01:15:26 Speaker 5: I gotta see them again, man, it's been too long. 01:15:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, they were pumped, but like secretly. They I mean, they all know about you, guys. They know they got they got uncles out here. 01:15:34 Speaker 4: So yeah, it's. 01:15:36 Speaker 3: Gonna meet y'all. 01:15:37 Speaker 5: That's so sweet, dude, Thanks for coming, Thanks for being a mentor for all of us. You and Alex are some people that I've learned the most from in my career as a whole. So it's like we're I'm very grateful for you and our friendship professionally and personally.
