We are very much back. It is very much the laps Fan Wrestling podcast
w w F. In your House eight Beware of dog, hang in your
house. Oh yeah, your house. We're watching you. We're in your
house. Your house. Can't you forget? You can't get it. We're
in your house and I'm going to stand over you and I'm going to you
under the covers. Gold West to that one. That's true. A good
point six thousand fans in the building set up for about ninety four hundred.
According to The Observer, four thousand, ninety six paid amazingly gate of sixty
three grand a small building. Oh my god, that'd be like, by
right, that'd be uh like, I don't know, some i'd be like
Xavier Wood salary for one show. I know. It's so true. One
hundred and ten thousand buys just about that doesn't necessarily take into account the refunds
and things. Talk about this like it was a money losing night. I
don't know about that. But how was the how was the second night?
I don't know. Okay, that's one thing I didn't see anywhere. Okay,
reports on that, But maybe that's all combined numbers, which would be
really pathetic. But the thing is, anybody who watched the second night watch
for free, so it's no more money in their pooh, that's right.
Call. So it's almost like that could you have but could you have bought
it? Yeah? Of course, I'm sure almost nobody does anyway, I
know, right, so I could have bought this the the the second night
instead of like I didn't buy the first night. I could have bought the
second night by itself. Yeah, yeah, of course, you just couldn't
have gotten you know, refunded for it. I should have done that,
just to do just to be that one person despite yeah, yeah, just
like say, you know, a story replay, I know might have been
the one person. A couple of dark matches, only one of them a
true dark matches, Bob Holly defeats I Yankom. Yes, but on the
Free for All, which channel I included them all? Anyway, I included
Savio defeating Stone Cold, Yo goes into defeating Vader from the previous night,
gold Dust feeding Undertaker. Oh, they were dark matches. They were dark.
They were in the dark. But the free we're all the smoking guns
becoming WWF champions. Yes, that it's funny, that's the thing that really,
in a weird way, I remember that more than anything else really from
this whole thing, Like I remember the Blackout, but really that was a
huge thing for because the it was like the they were rebuilding the tag team
situation in the w W, which was pathetic in like ninety four ninety five.
You know, it was absolutely pathetic, and they they were not that
this is better per se, but there were there weren't There weren't any teams,
Like basically it was whoever was the tag team champion. Like there was
like one tag match per show in ninety five, and it was whoever was
tag team champions. They had faced whatever challengers they were. They had that
together. Yeah, right, you know it wasn't like challengers, you know,
right like that, right. It wasn't like like they were actually trying
to build up the tag team ranks a little bit, yeah, says all
the Tech Division was was sunny storyline, right right. It was God the
body, here are the smoking guns? Yeah, I mean, and they
had the uh the first uh, the first fatal four way match I think
that I ever saw in w W E at the at SummerSlam Fast with the
tag with the tag teams they had that was a Tagnom title match, was
a like a four corners tag match. I can't remember that. I remember
that being like, Okay, this is all the teams. Yeah yeah,
but it was like there are actually four teams instead of one team, the
one regular team and some other team that is made up for the time being.
So Sonny had sort of warmed up to Phineas Godwin and pretended to be
into them so she could get access to the Tag Champions. I believe the
Godwins won the Belts the same night of the Curtain Call and MSG. It's
definitely an MSG. Really, yeah, I know that they won. I
know it was like a weird I know. I remember the storyline being that
Sonny was was switching partners like she does, like she switches partners. Yeah,
she was with the Body Donnis, and then they lost the Belts to
the Godwins, and so she joined up with the Godwins, and then when
the Godwins lost to the Smoking Guns, she just joined the Smoking Guns and
that led to just one of the most just bizarre, bizarre things that I've
ever that I've ever seen in the fall of ninety six, when the Smoking
Guns broke up oh nowhere. Well, it was just weird because you forgot
a laudy by the way, I did forget cloudy. You're right, you're
right. I was wondering why it was so dark outside speaking of Beware of
Dogs. Yeah, right, but do you remember, like so in in
the Fall, Now, what was what was the gimmick of the what was
the relationship between the smoking guns? They were supposed to be brothers. They
were brothers, right, then all of a sudden in the Fall of ninety
six they're talking about and also he's like trying to you know, he's trying
to fuck Sonny is Billy Gun this entire summer, and then all of a
sudden they're talking about their wives and their families and their friendship and stuff like
that, and like totally disregarding their the brother aspect of it. Yeah,
it was so weird. It was some point also have an edgind Christian And
did they ever do that? Do they ever? Were they ever decided to
be not brothers? Yeah? I mean when theyre feu didn't get against each
other in w B, like you know, after Edge broke out in his
own they had a brief program and they weren't referring to each other as brothers.
I mean they called each other brother in the locker room. Brother.
What I think that's concerning exactly who. So this was the era where Sonny
was front and center. AO L keyword. You know, queen the most
the most downloaded, downloaded, emphasis on the load. Yeah right, oh
yes, so they're you know, they've strugged her. It should be the
most unloaded person. Honestly, that's what that's really happened. Absolutely, And
so the deal is during the tag match on the Free for All, Phineas
is distracted when Sonny gets up on the ring Apron and Billy Gunn makes out
with her and she kind of likes it. She kind of brings it on.
In fact, face is like what the hell? And then they attack
him from behind and pin them and when the tag belts and then do a
healish promo afterwards. This is Sonny and the Free for All before hitting the
ring before they go live on the pay per view. Here, believe me,
I'm with the New World Wrestling Federation Tag team champions The Godwins and hill
Billy Jim. He'll Mailly has been one week boy. You must really be
proud of your two boys here, mister Purple, I gotta play will you
take will pick? If you know what I mean? One weekend? Guys,
you can't start this without me. You already know what this kid's proud
about. The top the world last week at Madison Claire Garden, Zinni has
signed a little beauty chamber, making mediusial co manager of the Godwins the just
Tag Team Champion. Wow. There you have it, Sonny, You're the
co manager of the World Tag Team Champions. Wow. Thank you. Damn
oh, that's a great version of their sons co manager along with Hillbilly Jim.
That's just what I wanted. Did you gotta do color commentator for the
tag title match? Here? Uh? Hillbilly, He'll Billy? Uh fuck
me? And of course Sonny in the future was slopped at the bucket of
pick, slopped over her head by the Gardwins as it come up, and
I heard a lot of guys actually would slop on her, but including a
certain World Wrestling Federation Avyweight champion. That's what I was told because when people
talk about this Diana hart Smith storyline with Jean Michaels in nineteen ninety six,
they can't help but connect the dots. Oh yes, around the idea that
John Michaels. Took a while to confirm it, but eventually Sonny reached a
situation in life where she wrote the tell All book. Yes, oh my
god, yes she did. And she went ahead and confirmed that in this
year of nineteen ninety six, the year of the of the Heartbreak Kid,
she was absolutely I've actually had his mercy. I have read this chapter or
this little section. I was like, I've all right, I'll be completely
honest and be completely vulnerable. Here there was when we got when we got
all, when we got access to all those books. I forget who gave
it to us? Ye, yes, yes, so many books there was.
I just say, you know, and I saw that we had Sonny's
book. I was like, oh, and I just I opened up the
PDF and I just said, all right, I'm just gonna I'm gonna be
a high schooler for a moment, and I'm just gonna search for the word
sex and see what pops up. Oh wow. And it was like everything.
It was like, it was like, oh shit, perhaps you stumbled
upon chapter thirteen, a heartbreaking romance. I believe I did. Late in
nineteen ninety six, who writes late in nineteen ninety six. Yes, so
of course this had nothing to do with that, so nothing to do with
channeling their backstage tryst. Things started to get pretty rocky, she writes,
between Chris Candido and me, and we decided to take a little break.
We decided, yeah, because uh, certainly, because you know her making
out with Phineas Godwin and Billy Gunn on TV. Certainly that would never cause
any kind of rift in a personal relationship behind the scenes, rightsigman, Isn't
it funny when she's got the next one lined up? All of a sudden
it gets a little rocky in the current relationship? Right? Yep? She
noticed who was next? I didn't. I just a good story, that's
right. That's all I do is a good story. Many nights, he
stated, at his mother's house or his father's house, or get a hotel
room. When you're on the road at someone twenty four to seven, you
tend to get on each other's nerves. We weren't totally broken up, but
weren't totally together either. We kept up the charade of being a happy couple
at work because it really wasn't anyone's business. As I mentioned one of the
early chapters, I was in love with Shawn Michaels when I was thirteen years
old. What do you think's going to happen now, boss? I think
she's gonna just need to expose her love. So now being a coworker in
the same locker rooms, and I couldn't help but admire him up close and
personally. He was always really nice to me, much different from how he
treated the boys, with the exception being the guy's in the clique. He
was extremely charming and even more handsome and sexy than he was back when I
was thirteen. One night, we had to do a skit together. You're
damn right. It was a skit. He was going to be in the
ring with a bunch of heels hit to take him out. He was to
fight each one of them off and then call me into the ring. I
was supposed to get in the ring like a shy school girl, and he
would motion me to puck her up like he was going to kiss me.
He would then turn away and diss me as the live TV show went off
the air. Yeah, this is in late ninety five and she was still
managing the body down is on Superstars. This is ninety five, the one
where he turned away and dissed. Heurned oh oh, okay, okay.
After we faded to black, he was to turn around, grab me and
kiss me. Yes, much to the crowds to light. Backstage, when
everyone was talking over what they were going to do, Sean pulled me aside,
and now, so what kind of a kiss? Can I give you?
Any kind of kiss you want? I replied in this sexist voice.
I could conjure up giving him a little wink and a smile. Yes,
that's right now. She did take a long kiss from him on the ring
apron during a match against Billy Gunn in the middle of nineteen ninety six on
Monday Night Raw. I think she may be conflating the two. She makes
it sound like after they went off the air in the nineteen ninety five incident,
when he turned to cheek away from her when they were about to kiss
that they still did a makeout. So I don't know, but yes,
he was happy to hear that, smiled and walked away. So it was
time. Yes, I'm ring side. He calls me into the ring.
I walk over to whim. He turns away, turns back and grabs me
and dips me. He laid the hottest, sexiest, wettest kiss I had
ever experienced right there in the center of the ring. As he was kissing
me, which felt like five minutes and was probably darn close to that,
he laid me down with the canvassing and he kissed me and dry humped me
a little as this. Yes, that's right. I got to tell you.
It was good and I loved it. And I loved it, Yes
you did. I didn't want it to end. And the crowd loved it
more. They were howling like wolves, and I can bet you the women
in the audience were wishing it was them. It was a hot, hot
kiss. Call me crazy, but I felt sparks during that kiss. Of
course you did, Okay, I felt friggin' fireworks. I mean, come
on, yes, it was the heart to break the kid for crying out
loud sensation. The most beautiful man I ever saw that kiss. The next
week on TV, I was standing by the watching the show. I want
to say, you know, yeah, I guess I can. I can
see that he's a good looking guy, but that is he the best looking
guy of your entire life. I mean that's okay. Hey, you know
didn't tweet his own and her own, but that just seems that seems like
a wrestling low ball to me. Standing by the curtain, watching the show
as we all usually do, when Sean walked up behind me to look and
watch over my head. As he insted over closer and closer, I could
feel his hot breath warming the hairs on the back of my neck. Do
you feel that he whispered, brother, that he was This is not porn,
oh, covid this is This is fear porn. It's like doom scrolling
COVID News in April twenty twenty. Why she Why behind the curtain? Brother?
What's going on? Why are you reading this to me? Brother?
You're trying to free me out? Dude? What that he was referring to?
Okay, wait a minute, okay, I have to get the straight
Do you feel that he whispered? Yes? Oh thank god. The that
he was referring to was his hard dick. She wrote it, freaking she
wrote what we would have said fort she lapsed fan mad lips Sonny, Sonny,
his hard dick pressed firmly up against my ass. Yes, Oh yes,
I felt it all right, good and hard, she writes, Instantly
I was turned on. I was moist yet believe this woman did say that
she's good. Oh my god, I'll tell you when I make it up.
Oh what red blooded American girl wouldn't have been When the heartbreak kid pushes
his erection up against you and gives you chills to his breath. I had
a pretty good idea where this was going and what his intentions were, and
I was right. Later that evening, he pulled me into an empty locker
room and kissed me and felt me and groped me, and then, like
a kid in high school, he fucked me. Yep, he banged me
good right there in the locker room. It was so dirty and sexy and
so not allowed within the crew that it made it even hotter. Oh my
god, it was mind blowing sex. And that was the beginning of the
love affair that would eventually lead to my first broken heart ever. I was
twenty three, he was thirty one. The age difference didn't matter. We
got along like two peas in a pod. He was cocky, but so
was I. We were both extremely attracted to each other and couldn't get enough
of one another. He actually said once it makes perfect sense for the top
guy and the top girl to be together. Of course, I completely agreed.
We were all over each other. Of course. In fact, just
asn't aside if it's a top person not with a top guy or girl.
We gets you heat in the locker room. Of course, pisses him off
when somebody who's on top date somebody who's beneath him look at Sable. Right.
Yep, she eventually found out, didn't she. Yes, Mark Merrill
had to find out too, that's right, that she was on the hunt,
on the hunt, on the hooking, looking for fresh candidates. She
wanted her Minnesota farm boy. Yeah, she wanted to be She wanted to
be hustled on into the sketchwan, never to be seen again. She wanted
to be harvested. I think that's absolutely correct. We had sex everywhere,
anywhere and everywhere, every show and empty locker rooms, vacant bathrooms, broom
closets, electrical closets, production trucks, and even in Vince's private locker room.
The only I already knew about that one I didn't did I did I
allow this? What? Who I did? Good? Okay? The only
people who knew were the members of the Click and eventually Events, Surprisingly,
Events actually approved, Of course he did. He loved that shit. He
tells himself that the WWA champion should be the biggest fucking sex object on a
planet Earth. I believe that. I believe that there are opportunities. I
believe we're an offer downside guarantees hair Pale will just offer opportunities. I believe
in opportunistic moments. He had a strict rule back then about members of the
crew not getting involved romantically, but he approved of us. That became apparent
to me a one particular TV taping when Vince was behind Sean and Noman line
for catering. He leaned, what do you think? He said? So?
How is it? Right? Pretty much? He said, So how
are we doing? So? We? I mean, are you toying?
Are you enjoying the boy? Toy? Is that? Is it? Is
it all that you need? Do you need a little more? Right?
I mean, I'll tell you what. I don't mind you guys doing this
as long as I get to watch and touch myself, can we? So?
How are we doing? With a clear emphasis on the Wii? Okay,
Vinnie Mac youwcotta is red handed. It wasn't uncommon for Shawn and me
to go at it four times in one day at a TV Jesus Christ talk
about times at night Taco Town talk about raw I know, I can imagine
what would have happened if they if they were doing SmackDown back. Oh shit.
Members of the Click were designated to watch the door of whatever locker room
he decided, Yeah, right, fu members of the clique. No one
was there usually. Sean Waltman went to three kid, what a is she
talking about? I don't know. She said late ninety six. Hey,
Sonny, remember how you tried a k fabe about how you try to align
your tryst with Sean with your quote unquote breaking up with Candido by saying late
ninety six and then no, yeah, late ninety five, Oh shit,
fucking heartbreak. Go at it again. You mean you mean late ninety five?
You mean before the Diana heart gotcha. I was still on the road
with Chris keeping up the charade, so no one knew about Sewan and me,
especially Chris, even though we were just cohabitating. I didn't see any
reason to upset him. One night after TV taping in Syracuse, I retired
in my hotel room with Chris, and Sean headed out to a bar with
the rest of the boys. Oh, Syracuse, the Syracuse think so so
okay, So this further establishes it. Ninety five absolutely that that's thelmost nineteen
ninety five even happened. That's not even late ninety five. That's like end
of summer, like early fall ninety five. At about two thirty am,
there was a persistent knocking, I guess October October October, Yeah, yes,
on the door of my room. It was Davy boy the bulldog to
me, come next door, Davy said, but sexy British accent what she
wanted him to? Sean got beat up? Oh great, what happened?
I rounded the corner. Sewn's room was right next to mine, and I
walked in. Sean was a bloody, swollen, messy it cuts Oliver,
his face with the worst gash right below his right eyes, entire face it
head was so swollen with lumps that he looked like the elephant man. What
what ward? What warred me the most was that he was bleeding from the
inside of his left ear and he was barely conscious. Knowing that that could
be potentially dangerous. I told Davy to call nine one one. I was
worried about Sean, having suffered some inter ear damage of brain swallowing and been
a premed student, you know. So the bus came for him and I
went with him to the hospital. Upon arrival, I removed his diamond ear
rings so it wouldn't disappear, because they needed to do an MRI and his
head. The MRI came back clear, and Sean came back so to sleep.
He was either sleeping off all the alcohol had consumed that evening, or
they doped him uf enough at the hospital to not feel any pain. When
he opened his eyes a few hours later, the first thing he saw was
my face. He looked a little shocked at first that I had stayed by
his side the whole night, And then it felt like he had a nurse
nightingale moment, and his eyes began to sparkle. It must have touched him
that I cared enough to take care of him, because up until that point
our relationship had been purely sexual and physical. Then things began to change.
Uh, oh, we'll leave it there. Wow, Sonny, Sean fuck
ass. Yes, mercilessly needed, She tells a story about how the one
thing she didn't get about here him was his fetish bending her over the sink
in the hotel looking at the mirror, and he insisted that she apply and
reapply, and apply and reapply red lipstick as he was taking her from behind,
to the point that her face resembled that of a clown as he hammered
away. What's good wo Shawn Michaels nineteen ninety six, bitch, that's unbelievable.
So Smoking Guns take the tag titles with Sonny's help, and then we
kick it over to the pay per view, and that's that's where we start
proceedings. But again, just to review before we jump into that formal proceeding,
they did the Marrow Hunter's Helmsy match. Savio was coming to the ring,
the lights went out, they still went more than fifteen minutes in the
dark. Then in the dark Yoka beats Vader in three minutes, So they
switched the finish up to what was Vader going over? Right? Golddust keeps
the Icy Belt over Undertaker casket match when a bunch of heels Vader, Bradshaw,
Triple h Isaac cancom Steve Austin, I'll do a run in Rumald ninety
four style and put him in the casket. And then Jake Roberts beats Bradshaw
as Meltz the road. As it turned out, they immediately went on,
so Robert hit the DDT and got the pin in thirty seconds. He says,
they were put out there, pardon me, to kill time until the
lights went on, So it's almost like this wasn't even supposed to be a
match. Wow. And then the Michael's Davy Boy match, and then after
the pay per view wrapped, I'm at Johnson pinned Jerry Lawler in seven minutes,
and then the Ultimate Warrior pined Owen Hart to end the night. This
is back when in your houses were so thin as far as like the pay
per view offering, but they still yield the building, right, I mean,
it was always ridiculous. So they put these like high caliber dark matches
on just to sell the tickets, like so you could see Ultimate Warrior if
you came to the show, but they didn't want to Ultimate Warrior on a
pay per view. They used him in fact the next night on that all
important Monday night were of course, as we mentions, and then they came
back on the Tuesday and taped Superstars as well as the matches for what came
to be known as Beware of Dog two, and that show included Barry Horwitz
versus One Heart, I'm at Johnson versus Own Heart, Undertaker versus Mankind,
which made been the first time those two wrestled in the WWF. Actually a
second who was? Who was the sorry? I was? I was?
Who was the second one? I'm that the first on one? Who is?
When you just talked about the first the first time that they ever wrestled
Undertaker Mankind? No, they had wrestled the floor. Maybe not now,
They didn't wrestle until King of the Ring ninety six on television. Really yeah,
yep, And he had just attacked Undertaker, Well he attacked him in
the beginning, but he just attacked him on the pay per view. Yeah.
They did do the Michael's Goldis match. I take that back. So
he did come back the next night and work. They did Jake on a
Squash, They did New Rockers over the hardy Boys of all people who would
just come in, Jesus Wild, Hunter Hurst Helmsley, Dark Match, Yokaz
in a dark match, Kingdom Wing Qualifier Bradshaw beats Henry Godwin. They had
the Godwins beat a tack team in a squash, Austin in a squash,
Mankind and a squash Lawlor in a squash King of Aring qualifier. Savia beats
Marty Jenney. They have Barry Horwitz beat Ewen Hart Vader beat Tony Johnson in
a squash, Merrow win a squash. They have the Smoking Guns beat the
Hardy Boys in a tag title match. And they have Roberts beat Bradshaw King
of the Ring qualifying, which earlier I said they had King of the Ring
qualifying justin Bradshaw defeating Okay, it was Henry Godwin. I see. I
don't know why they have Bradshawn two qualifiers, but that's what the results indicate
from Wrestling Data dot Com. You never know. And then they did the
obviously the three matches that aired live. The World Wrestling Federation for over fifty
years, the Revolutionary Force in sports entertainer. I got this whole thing because
I was I was this. I love this Shawn Michael's Home Wrecker video package.
The World Wrestling Federation were over fifty years, the Revolutionary Force. It's
sports entertainment. He is the leader. I'll do you. Michael is a
home wrecker, wild rough flags Sean, Michael's ruined my life. I'm going
to dress this subject. I did not do this, Michael. I'm gonna
make sure our kids, Kennedy, I love the woman I know they want
me. Do not flucker or so what actress? Plain and simple. This
is character assassination, and I'm getting damn tired of it. Okay, awesome.
The woman who accused him in Silhouette was a Jill, a makeup artist
that worked in the headquarters in Stanford. Oh really, Chris Pittard, Yeah,
I mean I actually was like thinking to myself, is this are they?
Are? They? Kind of it was? It was a year two
years early. But I was like, I thought, I thought, maybe
because he says I did not have sex with like, is he is he
doing Clinton? Probably is that an? But it didn't happen yet though it
hadn't happened. He said it happened ninety eight. Ninety eight was the Monica
Lewinski thing? Yeah, right, because it's the DX mockery of it,
right a ball Nah? So this is is what happens when the heavyest the
head that where's the crown? Okay? Oh yes, and we get that
aforementioned graphic of the in your house logo and a leash in the doghouse.
It's in your house and in your house tonight. It is, indeed where
in the great Data South nd On. Wow, come everyone, it's Vince
Beware of Dog. Then there's a weird so okay so, and then he
wants to pay tribute to the people who allow the ww to come into my
house. Apparently if I could take a sobertorney to make tribute to house and
ultimate the cream, Cycervis tell me out the freedom. I didn't need the
privlege to come into your house tonight. If you forgot the show was on
Memorial Day weekend, that's a really non sequitor there. I mean, he
doesn't even say that, Like, he doesn't even say Memorial Day weekend.
He just kind of goes into this thing. And you know, until I
realized it was Memorial Day weekend when I was watching the show, I was
like, why is he doing this? Like what what happened? I noticed?
Bizarre? It's so bizarre. And you got Vince with his Tucson bouncing
up and down with every word along with Jordan King Lawler always doing that kind
of like that that that almost hip hinge that he would do. You know,
he'd like lean forward from from the waste area and like, you know,
the perfect HiPE is what it's called. Yeah, I didn't know there's
a word for that. Well, you market like when you work, it's
a hinge like you do like a handcard you're working out and stuff. But
I don't know what that you know, that's what he said, what he
was doing. You just you do a hinge. So Vince, that's exactly
it. And you know Lawler's talking about how Sean has to convince the world
that he's not a womanizer and all of that. And they got the in
new house spotlight on the canvas red white, blue rope, so that's on
point. Yes, it is Helmsley Music hips right away. King Gan Kang
King King Kang King King King Kang King Kang King King Kang Kang King King
King King King King Kang King Gang King Gang King Gang Can Kang Oh so
good, and they're you know, predicting that, no doubt he's going to
be led to the ring by one of his beautiful ladies. Of course,
Sable who he came out with the wrestling at twelve, but already turned on
him and joined with right Merrill, Mark Burrow's real life wife. I thought,
I thought the girl that he came down with. For a moment there
first split second, I thought it was Stephanie Wyand and I was like,
what the fuck? Oh wow, Yeah, she doesn't like Stephanie Wyane.
That's true. It's just some local model according to Pritchard. By god,
uh, this is when what Lisa Wolfe, who was a woman that Vince
hired to do a lot of operational stuff and was kind of a terror at
Titan Towers was, was hired to handle pretty much anything the female talent needed
or anything that incruing operational things on me. Yeah, I wonder what roles
she really played ultimately right mm now where she at there's a reason she's not
a milble anymore. But it's not sable, Let's put it that way.
Who comes to the room, they get to beware of dog a dog house
in the green grass for your lower third graphic because you know, got it,
Vince said, I'm sure her Souldsley would love to have someone else on
his arm. At one time, Hunter had in his arms, sable as
we now know her, and Vince goes Boy did he ever blow that opportunity?
Huh, brother, she also blew the opportunity, that's true. I
did hear that she would go on, of course, to sue they did
be a for sexual harassment and then back anyway. But she left ninety nine
all kinds of wondering why she did that. Yep, yep, yep.
That's why it was so surprising when she showed back up in two thousand and
three. And that's when she came back and ended up betting brock Lesnar yep.
And Mark had to find out the hard way that when you played mister
mom it goes, it goes to full monty. Yes, he went back
to take care of the kids while she went out there and pursued an acting
career. Pretty soon she was getting blitzed by the next big thing, very
simple, Mark Merrill. By the way, the next big mommy and Mark
Merrill came in with guaranteed money. First time really Vince had ever done this
where it wasn't you know, you make what you make based on a percentage
of the house, and I promise you'll make more than w W would pay
you, but I can't guarantee it to you. Mark Merrell. Evince wanted
really badly and said, I need guaranteed money. That's what I was getting
at WCW. It doesn't make any chance. It's sense take a contract with
structure. Differently, why why did he want him so bad? We love
it. He loved the Johnny b Bad character. Everybody says that, Yeah,
yeah, of course he's got possess I love that and I love it
like like like holdies. But who would have think someone that could pull off
a character that over the top would be pretty much the most boring human being
walking the face of the earth. If you let him go by his real
name and you know, closer to his he you know, And the thing
is, like I always found it so weird. They never I mean by
by June he's a fucking failure. Yeah, well he the word got real
quick that he was getting this kind of money, and so everyone's rooting for
him to fail and Nick picking his matches, and he's out there, you
know, trying to do Luca to you know, have something to hang his
hat on. He's doing flip dives and tiltotal head scissors. Don't forget.
He is the one who debuted the Shooting Star Press in the WWE in uh
and I don't believe I could be wrong, but I don't believe it got
the win. Oh somebody kicked out. I think it was I think it
was gold Dust who kicked out. Yeah, so you know you can't he
debut. Is this fucking ridiculous move and nobody's ever done before in this company
and they just have it completely demolished in two sebsolutely. Yeah, you can't
get a contract like that in that locker room the way it was back then,
and not eventually be made out to be, you know, completely not
worth the money, like immediately the soldiers, Hey, look, you know
what's the way of the future? Man? Fucking guaranteed money? That's right.
Well, that's the day Evince had to play it. I think Mark
Marrow was that guaranteed moolah is if I was sitting down telling myself, you
know at the end of the day, why did I lose Kevin and Scott,
It's because I wasn't willing to do that contractually. Ship A Hall's talk
at length, including the unheard episode who did with the Dark Side folks about
how we just offered me more money, man like yep, I wanted to
be counteroffered, but he couldn't go into the contractual structure that WW was offering.
No, so yeah, I can't do that. That's always a big
backdrop to whatever you talk about. Mark Marrow in nineteen eighty six, and
yeah, he comes in first job interview and they're you know, a job
interview. That's wrong way to put it, but to talk about his character
and how it's going to go in some negotiations. And one day he brings
his wife in the office with him, and Mark was insisting, according to
shooting interviews, he's done. That is why to come on the road with
him? Well, who's who's this? Precisely? Who do we have here?
Wow? Wow, Hey, tits tits galore? Huh yeah right,
yeah, I see as opposed to pussy galore, Tramarrow, I see the
two best reasons why you should be part of this company tremendous assets. Pal.
I'll tell you what. I'll give you whatever you want money wise.
If I get a squeeze right now, wow, or a titty fuck or
both. Those aren't even on uneven planes or even to me now. When
he said a squeeze. What did he mean, I'm in tits, so
to squeeze the tits. Okay, here's the thing, touch them all right,
here's the twist. He says, I'll give you any want if I
can get a squeeze or or titty fuck. And Rina picks titty fuck and
listen, I'll tell you what at the end of the day, all right,
when we're all done. First of all, I will ejaculate my will.
I can't say I won't because I definitely will. I'd also like a
hug. Wow, feel so good. I just I need love in my
life. I'm a hug guy, right, I'm a hugger. I enjoy
the feeling of own woman's body pressed against mine. I want pressure. It
is going to be impossible going forward. Every time we talk about WWF shows,
of course, you know, to not see it but as nothing more
than the psyche on screen. I mean, look this whole thing. It's
it's hard to it is hard to even watch these shows and like listen to
him talk. Absolutely, I've got a sound bite coming up with him that
I'm just kind of like. It's just this past weekend they talk about back
when was stretching Marl and superstars. When he was campaigning, we're told it's
ready. This is one he was running for president. That's correct, Yes,
it was first time. And then they show Sable and her leather with
a whip crying. Later you know, Mark Merrow being sabotaged. And then
here comes trouble h. He takes the shirt off, he peels it off,
he's lean and back to another wild man of sorts. Here he comes
backstage, Mark Merrow with a Sable and Doc Hendricks we hear another wild individual
that's right, sorts, wilder than most. Doc is always asking the tough
questions, Mark, what defensive strategies do you have to avoid the pedigree?
Mark White? Defensive strategies you have going on? Here? He just says,
Doc, he cuts the worst probo in history. He does that.
He watched this year like this is like going nowhere. He says. Today
is a crowning of a new day, dawning of a new day in the
life of the wild man Mark Marrow. Tonight it's time to answer the call
of the wild hunter. Welcome to the jungle, that's all he says.
I wonder do we know do they ever? Do they ever face each other
in WCW down in Atlanta. Almost certainly. Yeah, I don't remember,
but it's a good question. I wouldn't doubt it. Sable just walks off
the set as Doc whistles at her. And what do you mean he's walking
off? Said brother? When you say, what do you say? Where
are we? Uh? Florence, South Carolina? Terry? Since when?
Dude? Uh? Since about what? Five pm? Eastern time? Exactly?
Not the answer he was opened for. Not the answer that would a
lay out of his concerns, because that's two hours before they go live.
Nobody told me about this, dude, where are we? Well? We
need we need to open the doors early, Terry, because we needed to
hide mcfoley under the ring. Well, is mcfully under the ring? Dude?
What's he doing down there? Before? He's gonna come out and he'll
be in the No, he is not any other rings He's gonna be under.
I mean, what else are we talking about? Dude? I mean,
where else is he gonna be under? Is he gonna be behind some
people? Dude? Is he going to be behind? I mean? Brother,
this is I gotta say. Dude, I'm I'm out here in l
A shooting sand with muscles right now, brother, and I just I can
feel Mick Foley behind me. Brother, Why is he underneath my ring?
Dude? Look, it's a fair question. You can see the wall of
the arena above the in your house set. That doesn't quite make me feel
good. Yes, no, no, no, none of this does.
It's all darkness above the set. Yeah no, when you can see the
ceiling and all that horseship, it's really it's it's a it's it's not good,
it's not healthy. I mean, we love, we love a signature
to look on an arena. We love, we love a great roof of
Norfolk scope and yeah, but it can't look like a fucking you know,
like a convention hall. All right, right, Sable comes out with torn
on the whip over her head. Lawler says they filmed Gorillas in the mist
in her shower. What rock merro versus hunter? He salmsy to get a
start the film gorillas? And what is that? What is that gorillas in
the mist? Well, he said, I don't know what gorilla is in
the mystery? Does that even mean it's a movie, isn't it? I
don't know, but brother, brother, this is Lawlor, But this is
a. Oh yeah, this is the gorilla and the thing there and this
is Vince. Listen to Vince mc man. Just listen to vinciic Man here.
Okay, classy ladies ever here in the he like heard him somewhat as
far as I'm concerned, classy, Like he's all these words that like he's
he's providing this false image of innocence on himself. Absolutely like this this this
man. You know that, this gentleman, a gentleman. I'm a upper
class individual, you know, I'm believe in higher class offerings. Yeah,
totally, that's that's step only part of his whole thing is he ah,
he wants to He saw that in Lacy Evans too. I think you know,
he wants like a woman that's like not just beautiful, but somebody who
he tells himself that, like, you know what, would be able to
carry themselves in high society. Yeah. Right, when all he is talking
about, all he all that is going through his mind is just the the
just most just deplorable, degenerate thoughts. He wants them to be classy so
he can tear that, so we can destroy them, right exactly when all
she is is a model from Barol beach. I mean, these are things
that are of a nature that I'm not aware saying things like Wow, what
a lady, Wow, that's classy, classy lady. Yeah. JR.
Tells the story that after Mark Merrill, you know, sort of brought his
wife into the office for the first time because he wanted to bring her,
he insisted on bringing her on the road with him full time because he felt
like his first marriage fell apart in the wrestling business because you know, the
road lifestyle and WCW such that he didn't see her. So he thought that
by taking a sable on the road with him that he could prevent that from
happening. Oh man. And he insisted on deal points where they paid for
her trands and everything like that, or at least paid her way in a
similar way they paid Mark's way. I don't know about trans but anyway,
that's what's going on. And JR. Tells the story that after that meeting
was up and they left the office, he gets a call very soon thereafter
from Vince and then what he says to Jared is did you see what I
saw on their pal X ray vision? I saw underneath it all. Wow?
Yeah, wow, So I could taste it from here. Oh,
I mean he made out with her on TV, didn't he? When she
did came back? Yep, he got it, he got it. He
of course. Come on, folks, who's shitting who here? Listen?
Listen all right? I mean, I mean no disrespect to the women who
want to Just now we have all confirmation we need to shut down this road
act that he did it. It's been done. I can't accept that any
woman he found a way to make out with on television, he didn't do
that much more with off televigion exactly. And I also can't accept he didn't
do it with women who you know, made out in other contexts with other
wrestlers too, for his jollies. Ye can I see? Can I just
get an idea of as to what you're you know, what you're doing with
the other individual on camera? I just want to I want to know if
it's real enough. They talked about Kurt Angle has talked about how creepily Vince
directed his makeout with Stephanie or Eric Bischoff's talked about, you know, making
out with Linda and stuff and Stephanie. Come on, folks, listen,
Kurt, I want you to do me a favor, all right, and
Stephanie is making out with you. What I want you to do is first
of all, grab her ass, right, and then I wants I want
to see you stick your finger up. Rhenus can give a little come on,
give a little like a little tingle there, come on. He would
say, amos, though he wouldn't say butthole or ass. He wouldn't say
brown star. Well he would say butthole. That's little ridiculous. But anyway,
passage. So U with that out of the way. Opening contest Mark
Merrow and Hunter's elms. Merrow boxed them up to the floor with his music
still playing, and gives chase and triple H castes them on the way in
or if we ject, don't presiding, as vinceays, Hunter is unquestionably an
opportunist. How yep, yep, that's true. I've heard I've heard such
things. How pale is triple H? Yes, yes, yes, oh
my goodness, I mean this is post this is in the doghouse, triple
You know that in your house logo that is in the doghouse. That might
as well be aeah right, that's the writer should have been triple H instead
of instead of I y h. It was just Triple H with us some
rapid gut shots in the corner. A big right hooksends Triple H up and
over the top of the floor. Jerry Lawler would suggest a slug fast is
illegal here as yes, yes, that's what he says. Uh, slugfest
is illegal. So the Mark Marre shouldn't be allowed to throw these closed fists,
I guess is what he's getting, okay, And then what Merrow just,
you know, because he's got to justify his guaranteed money, just throws
himself over the top rope, I know, and kills Triple H on the
floor back in Maryor with a sling slot slingshot leg drop for two. Was
funny how Mark Merrow was recast as a high flyer. I mean he got
air in w c W. Johnny be bad, but he was never like
a guy an aerial artist. No, no, I mean he do he
It was like the the the aerial moves were kind of the the cherry on
top of everything else. Right now he's present a cruiser weight with a heavy
Now he's gonna do like springboards and do crazy corkscrew planches and ship Mark guy
who later became a boxer who never lets Mark you got to stop. Triple
A to the thumb to the eye or at least the facial area of insists
corner to corners of the verse. Triple H does the shum would effect if
he hit me? If you put a thumb to my cheek. I don't
think that would have the same effect as a thumb of the eye. No,
I don't, But that's what he said, all right. Indeed,
Triple H does the HPK inside out bomb lands in his feet and gets dropped
by Mark Merrill left hook. So even back then, boss, it was
all about tribute spots. That's right. Do the spots of the guy who
has the spot you want? Ye? Oh good? You see that out
there? Almost for you? That for you, buddy, I got news
for you. I didn't see it. It's too worried about the storm.
We hear a woman screaming here. This must be the same woman Sewan complains
about the mid event. It is, it must be. I actually thought
maybe it was the it was the woman that the Triple H brought down,
right, I thought maybe it was her. But she's coy. She does
like yeah, not saying a word, but sitting with Lawlor. So weird
corner whip ye, Triple H side steps Mergo shoulder first and the poach.
Triple H takes over for what is a prolonged period. Okay, and it's
like you, now, if you're gonna bury me, at least give me
some offense. Please let me work a hammer lock for twenty minutes, exactly,
please. Lawler calls out a rose Marie Lynn, who is the woman
that accompany Triple H to the ring. She's sitting next to him like a
lady. He says, Here at ringside, Mark Merrill continues to sell the
shoulder big time. Triple Tion launches him to the opposite corner and he hits
the floor hard. Lawler says, every time Triple H went into the back
with Sable, they turned the surveillance cameras off. I don't know what that's
supposed to mean. I guess he fucks her. I mean, I guess.
Vin says, you have no authority to say that back in the divorce
court, no authoritization things. You're not authorized to speak this unauthorized presentation.
Triple Achad does this the cross arm breaker, No, it's actually the divorce
court. He does but enough about what Stephanie texted him at Christmas too,
Yo, Vin says, some fans are still filing in. I got here,
we go, fact they still I have all kind of storm call the
not in mind. If for any reason we leave you, ladies and gentlemen,
it won't be still with some teleal difficulty do it to the storming,
storming, the storming Carolina storms, fucking high pitched nasal voice right in full
Vince mode, filing in fans filing a storming happening, storming the castle.
It's funny. I don't remember him telegraphing like that when I was watching it
live. When when the power cut out, I don't know, I didn't
feel prepared for it. Made me wonder if maybe they cut in something really
THEYD some kind of commentary, I don't know, like for them for that
for the tape now, you know, because it was Yeah, it was
well understood. When you go back and read the coverage, you know,
people knew it was coming. I don't know, weird. So there's one
empty seat in the hard cam. I wonder Vince saw that. He's like,
Okay, yeah, we're still filing it. If that was his trigger,
Yeah, again, the storming likely have of technical difficulties. A triple
ah works over now Mark Mero in the corner with some right hands iris whipping
high knee by the game gets too it keeps working the shoulder of Mark Marrow
as we cut to Lawler with a lady aforementioned Amara then jumps into a school
boy roll up. There in the background we see Mula. Yeah, she's
right there behind the announcers course being a South Carolinian. Indeed, backslide attempt
by Mark Merrow, but his shoulder heard, so he sells that and can't
complete the technique. Lawler says that Sable is so ugly ted Dance and wouldn't
date her. I don't I guess ted Dance was going out with somebody ugly
in nineteen ninety six. I mean, I guess, I mean I think
he was. Who just say that about Cheryl Hines. Well, he's been
married to Mary Steinbergeon forever and I mean she's not necessarily the most attractive individual,
but oh, very nice at all. But I mean, I don't
know if that really. Vince then says to Lawler there is something going on
in the ring called a match. Sounds like a word. He would not
allow anybody to say a decade later about oh yeah, no, they get
married in ninety five. So I don't know what the fuck he's talking about.
Let's talking about her Mary steam Burgeon. Yeah, I guess, yeah.
I mean Sable is so bad at the wifely concerned face at ringside.
Oh yeah, because she's not concerned, Elizabeth, what's right, Elizabeth?
She is not, She is not concerned. No, she look look eyes
on the prize. That's what I say. Exactly a means to an end,
exactly in the Terry Funk mode. She's going to use wrestling. Wrestling
is going to use her, and she did. Uh huh. Triple A
dramming Murrow's shoulder of the post and Triple Ah drops down kind of been him
an arm bar, somewhat of a submission hold. Vince calls it. It's
you know, a cross arm breaker, right, It's a normal fucking hold.
Triple has to go MMA for some reason. He lets know what tape
you watch to set that up. They say he's going to give up,
but he's got the script. I mean, Mark Merrow's arm is not extended
as it has to be for an armbar to work. But the announcers like
call it like he's on the verge of submission with two hands locked together.
They have no fucking clue. Finally, Triple H No mercy style slaps the
two the two hands free and extends the arm what's the noise that it makes
in No mercy when you break that grip? Thank you? And Vince says,
he has the leverage advantage. Now, so that's good to know.
Yes, next time you're watching the UFC fight someone extends an arm bar,
tell yourselfhe now he's got the leverage advantage. Yes, yes, and then
before you can even finish saying that the guy's tapped out. Absolutely. Okay,
So I know Triple H crossing his ankles in the arm bar, which
is enough and screaming why is it? Why is it a no? No?
Well, it's just to have the to have the leg across My understanding
is I'm no black belt, but my understanding is to have one leg across
the chest and one leg across the face. You know, your legs parallel
is much more advantageous because you can control his ability to sit up out of
the arm bar, so you push him down with your feet. But if
your legs are crossed. You're just making that much easier for him to sit
up icy and not much harder to hold him down with your legs. So
but he's screaming in pain. Is Mark Merrow? Triple H nudges him back
down into a pin cover for two. Triple H, of course is a
shooter. Cranks, cranks over and over again. Uh. He sits up
and back down with the arm bar, which always thought was so funny,
such a weird well, especially after you see a real arm bar, and
how much, oh my god, how little you have to do to crank.
You just use your hips to build the elbow the opposite way what it's
supposed to get, right, But to him, he's like rowing almost.
They were reaching for the ropes of Triple H's legs across his face, and
he finally gets it and Triple Ah drops in need to the elbow as Marrow
his face first on the canvas. There is a massive kid in the front
row doing the wolf pack hand sign, so he's he's up on what happened
at the garden exactly, continues to crank the arm back suplex and No Meryl
lands on his feet and does that Japanese rolling a verse cradle where you jump
up and stick your feet under the arm pits and roll backwards. It's not
my favorite move. No, he pulled it off, but it's it always
looks a little clunky to me. I don't understand how you know, jumping
and landing on your own head is like a good way to pina guy,
right? And also like you, I don't you have to have some really
powerful legs to make somebody move like that, right, true? And I
don't believe that you do. After the two triple H bounces right back up
and cuts him down with a lariat that gets two for triple H, and
Lawler says, uh, call Richard Kimball. Right now we know the identity
of the one armed man because Marrow's yeah, oh because uh well, and
and that's what because Vince keeps calling him a one armed man. Say,
I don't think I've ever heard him call whenever someone's worked on a limb before.
I don't have ever heard vincick Man call anybody a one armed or one
legged or whatever. Interesting, like it's so it's so weird, like including
Zach Gowen. Including Zach Gowen. He actually even said the two legged wrestler.
Right, very bizarre, very bizarre. Vince says, you're on fire.
Is it something in the air here in South Carolina? And Laller says,
I smell that too. That was kind of a heen And esque thing.
It was rare. Does lawa o keenan to me? But there he
did one of the only times I've thought that. So Triple Ah yanks Marrow's
arm across the top rope. He goes up top and does a single acte
to the back and slaps on another arm bar. And they're really testing the
patience of the crowd here. I don't know what the design here is,
but what what is this arm thing going on? Like? It's so annoying?
Triple H grabbing the rope. Murphrey looks up, doesn't see Triple H's
hand on it, but does see the rope shaking, so he's suspicious.
Vin says, certainly it's not shaking for no reason. Triple A certainly driving
a knee into the shoulder of Marrow. He slams him on the arm with
while it's hammer locked. Vince for some reason says that was almost a hammer
lock slam, even though it was totally a hammer locks hemmerlock slam. Yeah,
he picks the weirdest things to be nitpicky about on comedy. He does,
he really does. He's so, you know, and it's funny.
I didn't really notice it as much when I was younger, but now it's
like, like, what is he talking about? He makes no sense half
the time. He just he starts talking and he gets into this word salad,
and it's like by the time he's done talking, like what was he
trying to say? There the fuck dude? King makes a weird comment about
Sable of the beauty shop here. Sable won't say that I heard she spent
just because she knew she's gonna be on TV to then she's trying to hog
the camera. She spent twelve hours in the beauty shop today. That was
just for a quote. I don't get it. I guess a price she
spent twelve hours to. She heard she was gonna be on TV, so
she spent spent twelve hours the beauty shop trying to get a price for hair.
I guess. I don't know. At that point, isn't already done
If it took twelve hours to get a quote, right, isn't the job
done. You just like, I mean, when you were a journalist,
do you ever wait twelve hours for a quote? Hopefully it's not the kind
of quote he's talking about. It had been nice, by the way,
for the guy that from the paper to get one quote in his story that
didn't happen. So Triple H goes up top and Marrow hits the ropes a
triple Ahe gets crotched up there. Meryl then hits a super hoo can runna?
Triple ah til heads his her take on in w c W it was
called the bad day. Bad Day. Really, I didn't remember that,
that's what it was called. Triple H screams kicked me in the gut and
Nemi, oh yeah, this is how are you going to do something about
his legs? Like, oh my god, Like I have never that's a
bad one. Like I I I'm always like, I can't believe when you
when you hear them, because I mean, I'm listening with headphones and I'm
watching it and I don't hear these spot calls. But I was just like,
I mean, the first time I said, did he just say kick
me in the gut? And I went back, I was like Yep,
there it is absolutely and then Maryow kicks Triple H in the gut. Like
five seconds later, we put a backdrop on Triple H. Maryol climbs and
sores into a sunset flip. Triple H does a great job falling backwards into
it. That gets a one two very close backup Marrow drop kick Triple H
out of the ring, and then he does a topic on heo clearing the
top rope of the flip dive, lends on his knee, a Triple H
side steps him and no sells like he blew his leg out and wow,
replay it looks like, I mean, he does a really good job with
that. However, he he he tweaked his leg there to to shift like
that. It was really Yeah, if he did that by design, all
the credit in the world. I'm actually thinking he maybe really did funck himself
up a bit. But well, wasn't that the injury that put him out
for a while and knee injury, Yeah, he did have an injury short
of after this the end of the at the end of the year, he
was because I mean, you know, I know, he wrestled until like
October or whatever, but by by the beginning of the year he was out
for injurious purposes, serious purposes, right, we'll put so it's in other
words, it's worth it for Mark Merrow to do flip dives. Of course,
Sable running around saying come on, Mark, and Sable looking away.
Watch then Mark, Oh yeah, watch this. Now you gotta do it,
you gotta do ninety six Triple ah voice, it's like watch this,
Oh God, come on, Anna, King Tutan Ton Ton the fucking harpsichord.
Yeah yeah, Kring, k King, King, King, King,
King, King, King King King King, King, King, King,
King, King, Kring King, King, King, King, King,
King, King, King King King. Oh oh, can anyone explain why
he's dressed like a founding father? Serious? Is that what it takes to
be an aristocrat? Apparently so Triple one's able to watch what the pedigrees are
as Roddy piper Is said of the ninety one rumble, I prefer to wait
to cry a jetsky anyway gives you more freedom. I don't think we could
never get enough even ten years on of things. You remember announcer saying in
nineteen ninety one, I mean that's where the money is. I've hope We've
fucking seen that show eight thousand times. That's what makes it so brilliant.
The more he likes it, the more he likes it. We had a
little dingdon and instead of leaving a million dollar tip, we just said thank
you and we walked to our cars. So tight. So Triple AGC wasn't
looking, so he leaves the ring. She goes to slap him with the
whip. He blocks it, grabs her by the wrist and tells her watch
this such a fucking idiot. So she slaps him, but he hooks it.
Metow takes him out with a double egg and then catapults him into the
corner post. Triple H does the thing where he clears the top turnol and
smacks the actual iron. I mean the fact that he lost to that that
he is he is getting punished. Yeah, you thought that was no question,
Absolutely no, not one person have I ever seen when they are that
on top of the match like they are. You know, he was in
firm control of the match, right and then all it was was a fucking
slingshot into the metal post right full control. You know that was that was
such a bitch move. I mean, that is definitely like you know when
you gotta, you know, you gotta. You know, what you did
out there not a good thing. So you gotta and you can understand,
you know, to keep the thing in the walker room. I've got to
punish you. I've gotta punish you for this, because Nelsen, I understand.
I get it. You know, I see the way you guys were.
I appreciate the friendship. I appreciate the you know, the the late
night chaps that we'd all have all right around the fireplace, drinking murlow with
Big keV. All right, but listen, they're gone, all right,
Waltman's gone. So I can't just let this just. Someone needs to take
the heat, all right. We got to reverse the heat. So I
can't have it on Sean. I'm not gonna do job. Sean. He's
a champion. You you're nothing, Your your your naval lint, all right,
you get to you just you're gonna have to lose for six, eight,
ten, twelve months. So in case maybe we didn't telegraph it there,
that gets the one two three from Mark Merrill. Sixteen minutes, twenty
three seconds, Mark Marrow the wild Man defeats on Hearse Helmsley in the opening
contest of Beware of Dog two, Vince's wear Dog one. This would be
weird Dog one. Oh yeah, thank you bro dog one. Yes,
anything happened to WWF. He says that I'm every twenty five minutes. I
know that was the thing. Thoughts on mister b is an announcer, Hate
it. I like him. I'm like him as an announcer. I do
not like him as a backstage interviewer. Hate it. He's a fucking farce.
She's a joke ext Days with Cornett, Clarence Mason, Umber the nick
brace on BULLDOGO and Diana and that other guy that serves the process here.
I got this because then you can hear what's great is that? So I
have the whole whole Cornet promo and what's great is at the end you can
hear Steve Austin's music right right. Plang, it's really pretty crazy. You've
got to let me in on this bombshell. I've got to know I'm dying.
Oh, let me tell you something, mister perfect. There's all kind
of bombshells gonna be dropped tonight. If I told you what the big bombshell
is, then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore, Shawn Michaels would have a
chance to prepare. And there ain't no way I'm gonna let that happen,
because, Shawn Michaels, you've made your bed. You tried to get Diane
in it, but now you're gonna have to sleep in it by yourself.
But I will let you in on one little surprise. You're you're a journalist,
here's a scoop, mister perfect. I only give this to you,
you see, I I'm real busy tonight course, Yo, Kazunda taken on
Vader, got a lot of things going on with Camp Cornett. I want
this man to have the undivided attention of a great manager. South Carolina has
a very strict athletic commission. I went to them and I procured for the
King of Hearts Owen Heart, the Slammy Award winning Owen Heart, a legitimate
an official South Carolina manager's license, And tonight ohen Heart will accompany the British
Bulldog to the ring as his official manager of record for tonight only, and
he's gonna make sure that the Bulldog has all the game plan in his head
and goes on to victory and then when the other bombshell is dropped, Haha,
Seawn, Michaels is gonna have no recourse but to be profusted and disgusted
and leave this building tonight, beltless, prideless, and friendless. Yep,
there it comes. Okay, I mean it's it is. I mean,
it's it's funny, how I mean, there's there there there. They were
so good of being able to kind of cut out music and shit, it's
funny that they couldn't do that here. Yeah, Like it's weird. It's
weird how they do it. Maybe because the show just was such a a
disaster they just didn't give a shit and we're like, just fuck it,
who cares. Just let's move on pretty much. Yeah, because this the
edited version, they don't go to Savio coming to the ring right right.
They don't. They don't know because you can't. He's got a different you
know, different background and stuff. You know that would be weird, and
so here in the God version as well as on video version, and you
know, the edited version they came out with later, they jump right ahead
to Vince saying thank you for your patience. Indeed, what a storm on
the outside of the building here and yeah, and it's it's made event time.
Just like that. It's Sean Michaels versus Davie boy Smith time. Here
comes Diana arm in arm with Davy with owen and the slammy up in the
air cast an arm he owns in a cast. We're doing a cast.
It's the you know way of the world. Diana with her arm on Davy's
lower back, chatting Leewe and their confabbing born backs to as Dog Hendricks with
HBK. Here we go. Listen, Listen to this fucking listen to how
flustered and pissed off he is that nature would do this to him. But
when he talked on the satellite is the one he's chopping on me. I
got news for you. Definitely, anything can happen to blonde us in your
federation, and I'm I focused after everything that's going on. Believe it or
not, I still am. All this stuff will make a great storyline from
Melrose Place, but it doesn't hang with the click on our turf, and
everybody knows our turf is the World Wrestling Federation. David boy Smith and Miss
Diana. I got news for you, Beware of the dog. I don't
think so, you too, better beware of click. Well they're not there
anymore. They're Sean, They're gone. He says, I gotta do this
for you twice in fifteen seconds. Yes he does. I mean, just
just horrendous. You've never seen someone succeed more at ignoring the fact that a
human being is standing next to him than Sean Visa Vi Jose Lethario here.
Yes, yeah, I mean you can. You can. You can see
how fed up he is, how much he resented with having Yes, he's
like, why do I still have to have this fucking clown with next to
me? Exactly did he really did he really train I forget he did.
If he really did train him, so they actually did, like he they
did care about each other. But he just is like, fuck this,
I can't. Yeah, he never understood why he needed a manager whenever their
baby faced WWBF champion did not Antald skull end I guess Visa vi Bruno,
but I mean Bob Eckland. But but it's it's it's uh, it's wild.
I mean you see it. You see him being totally done with this
part of the presentation, and eventually he succeeds and doesn't theory have a heart
attack in the sid match? Is that what happens? They? Yeah,
they do the they do. Uh uh. He gets hit with the cameras
hit him with the camera, that's right, and and he like, I
mean I never a heart attack. We do see him, I think a
little bit. But it's not long. It's not long. Yeah, he's
no longer part of the Shawn Michael's presentation. Not to said, there's much
left there right as he has the hiatus and the bad knee. And quickly
they do a little bit of tease. As Sean makes his way to the
ring after speaking with Doc Hendricks, he bumps into mister Perfect and they have
one of those yeah, face to faces. I don't know what they were
playing around with their Pritchrick Tipelly. They they they were kind of building that
a little bit. I mean, they never I do remember them. I
do remember I wanted you to think Perfect was going to come back and wrestle
Sean Michael. Yes, yes, I remember that. I don't remember much
else, but I remember that. Of course Perfect would leave for w W
nine ninety six as well. But here they do a bit of a bit
of a tease that'd have been an interesting program in nine ninety six, I
think went great, heal perfect, the one that came back at two thousand
and rumble, yeah, I would have. I mean get me because yes,
absolutely amazing. Seawn Michael's music hits. Here we go. Oh yeah,
Vince has to go in overdrive, you know, Oh he does.
It comes a man with a power, yes, astir res eligence, the
only one heartbreak can't shot like this, and he's getting He's over the top.
And Sean steps in with the most limited energy you've ever seen. I
know he does not. He's like, can I please go home? Talks
about how Tuesday in the presentations for tonight, I got that for you hair
and my way, blady gentlemen, we are manchel, then Tuesday Night will
be not only a OnCore I'm this particular man jump in. Of course we
know you want us talk here to night season. Well, we're gonna get
you. Indeed all of the match ger that works catching for tonight. Thank
you, miss that's about your heart resident, I mean your half to me.
Where I'm done coming Tuesday night? Oh yeah, and the Pyro was
on delay for Sean. He was not happy about that either. Nope.
He is so pissed. And he even makes a reference to Playgirl magazine,
which Sean appeared because he does. That's bizarre, he said. You would
think there'd be some pictorial in there, but it's not what you would imagine.
It's an interview, just an interview John Michaels, even though he is
pictured in the in the magazine with the WWF championship over his fucking cock,
right, but for Blade Shall looking around like unbelievable, I can't believe the
situation. I mean, I know. And then Clarence Mike, Clarence Mason's
microphone is not working at first. Oh ye, yep, he fucking they
They also this this bomb This was such a I mean, I know that
in in in normal life, this would be a big fucking deal, but
this bombshell in wrestling is just it's it's not okay, it's just lame.
He gets served as a loss. So yeah, right, it's so fucking
pathetic. Here here's here's Clarence Mason, John Michael, you have attempted murder.
You should Michaels have attempted to break up the very very happy Home of
the British Bulldog and that precious little cutting tulp, Diana Smith, you have
single handedly try to destroy the very essence of family values. So when the
Smiths came to me and they retained my services, I assured them that your
actions would cease and desist immediately. Let's get the match under way. About
enough problem here apre in South Carolina, in front of thousands and in front
of the Souldritier and the millions across America. You, sir, are here
by third with the summons. What as a defendant, the charge a tempted
alienation of affection? You, sir, we will see any court of wall
where justice if swift and hard, brother right shot is standing there. You
talk about someone no selling something, Yeah, he's just like with stone face,
like, let's get this over with. Yeah, he doesn't care.
And and what I like too about that he sounds like, uh, he
sounds like Tim Meadows in in uh in mean girls, you know, and
he goes all the girls in the in the gym immediately, immediately, perfect.
It sounds just like Tim Meadows. Then test to go ahead and confirmed.
Obviously that's the bombshell. In case you missed it, I did you
know why because it's a lame bombshell. Oh my god, it's just paper,
and people like okay, and he tears it up and oh it's cool.
He tore up a legal document. Oh yeah, he's really cool.
Diana's mouth the gate at the gall of Sean to rip that in half.
So yeah, storyline must continue. So it's the main event, I guess
you could say of Beware of Dog as Sean Michaels defends the WWF Championship against
the British Bulldog Davy boy Smith. Bulldog blindsides Michael's before the ball and we
are underway, whipped to the corner and Sean hits hard and again, but
this time Sean kIPS up. The girl begins screaming right here, I know,
Oh he's he's just like everyone's out to get him, double league pick
up, everyone's out to get him. Totally. I dug this beginning.
Though I thought it was likely they had a good a good plan for the
match, it was just snake bit. They just like they were like this
beginning, especially very fast paced. Oh yeah, and like again, like
I said in part one, just bonkers, just bonkers, how fast that
that bulldog is in this match? Yep, they put together a lot of
fast spots here. There's a double leg takedown by Davy Boy, Sean kicks
him over, Davy Boy lifts him to the to the apron and Sean does
a baseball slide back in a right hand and an Irish whipman a super kick
attempt but no. Bulldog holds onto the ropes and SCRAMs, and then Sewan
Pascado dives to the floor and levels Bulldog on the outside. Then says,
uh, doesn't mean Shawn Michaels won't honor the subpoena by the way, ripping
it in half. Yeah, he fucking comes back there as well. You
know that, Uh, you know he you know that he's still you know,
you can you don't have to have the paper. Isn't the legal part
of the whole thing. He can I imagine that he will physical documented,
right, you can you still, you know, as long as as long
I'm not flustered. I'm just trying to get across the point that he is.
He he didn't break the law, unless than anyone think by tearing a
subpoena in half, Shawn Michaels is some kind of scoff law. We can't
have that, did he say that, no, did he? Oh god,
I'm proud of myself that it was close enough to kind of thing he'd
say that you weren't sure. Yes, the Sewan does decide headlock, waiting
for something to happen. And what it is is, we come to find
out, is for this woman in the front road to pipe down and stop
distracting. Oh my god, it's a long time. And even fucking Vince
says he hopes the bulldog doesn't take a dog nap. Yeah, long doesn't
either. Yeah, that's how long that one is. Sean climbs other ropes
for the headlock take over, and yeah, you just hear all kinds of
directions from Sean being said to bulldog. There they're in the middle of talking
about something complicated. Apparently. We cut the Diana's eyes darting around her mouth
in a smile, frozen in place, looking like a Stepford wife at times.
At times, Oh yes, I mean that's the thing too, Like
she's got no facial expressions at all. She has one look she does.
I know it's truth, and it's it's robotic. It's this, it's this,
this blank deer and headlight stare that she has, like she's got no
emotional power at all, right, so true. So Sean's just standing to
ill in the middle of the ring with the headlock. There's a back suplex
attempts and Shawon does the O'Connor roll up to a limp frog and then Bulldog
catches him, but the Sean pokes him in the eye. Bulldog drops down
and he hits ropes and Sean rolls over him and puts his feet under the
armpits and rolls him over for the one too. Then Sean does a baseball
slide and then an inziguriy and it flips a bulldog over. Because when you're
a world Time on match and you want to show that you're working, boy,
Davy, well, you take a kick to the back of the head.
You don't fall in your face. You front flip. Yes, that's
right. The difference between Davy trying and Davy not trying is if he front
flips in the match. Yeah, I helpe, you've noticed that by now.
Absolutely, If he front flips in the match and in the corner,
right, if he does his his little his bizarre front flip in the corner,
that also means he is trying, right, He's promise, and so
Sean is the most tenacious superstar in the world today and that will stay.
He will stay with you the whole time in the match, and Laller says,
he'll stay with you if you're a married woman or at least dating somebody.
Indeed, bulldog, plush off and headlock down go, Sean dogges bulldog
rather short arms scissor, yes, sir, you heard that right, A
short armed scissor by Sean Michel arm scissors yes, oh, and barking at
ringside getting some heat. Sean Michael's laying down in an arm bar forever as
we hear the girl screaming again, what a little bit he is, like
almost to god, Like, so what like if you if you just keep
the match going, no one will listen to her. I mean you're also
like you're giving her the power you're laying out for exactly Like it's so he's
such a little bitch. The only thing I can figure is that he he's
found a way to get word and he believes that she's going to be removed,
and so he's waiting for that. Who cares now he does? That's
all I can tell you, Like, are you telling me that that this
is the one woman in the entire world that's ever distracted him. No,
seriously, the woman with the fucking remember the woman with the megaphone in the
front row of the nineteen eight right, maybe the same woman they took it
away from eventully though, So like, like, just knock it off,
dude and be a fucking Professional's chance, Sean professional sewn, you wouldn't see
Brett doing this. Oh, Ship, It's exactly right. You're exactly right
about that, Sean. I just want to say, you know, as
much as I I know, I know you didn't think I could do it.
Yeah, I gotta listen, listen, listen. I believe in you.
I believe in you. But I just want to say something. You
know you did. You did hold down that match a little bit with these
these long rest holds, and I just want to say, I don't you
know, only Brett would have done that right, the tail spin that would
send him in. Oh, I know you never see him again. I
know he'd go. He'd be in a fucking drug fueled rampage. He'd move
to like Antigua or something you'd never seen. Uh Ogan wouldn't do that.
Hogan wouldn't do there, rolls out of the arm bar, picks him up
on Davy. Don't you want to be my new Hulk Hogan? Don't you
Sean? I'm your dad? Wow? Don't you want to make me happy?
Don't you want to make dad, good old dad happy? Do you
need somebody to give you a blow job or something? He was champion every
day? And I notice you haven't been calling. Wow. What's the deal,
Bell, I'll tell you what. I'll buy you your own cell phone.
All right, I'll give you a cell phone, no excuses? You
call me every day? Yes, If you don't, I'm gonna rip your
arms out and then I'm gonna eat him, and then I'm gonna kill your
dad and your mom? What is that? And by the way, what
is that? I see you cooking in your kitchen right now? Pal?
What are you whipping up those onions? You're chopping? Listen, John,
I've got eyes and ears everywhere. I know what you're doing at all times
every day. I always know what my champion is doing. That's a quote.
Amazing. So Davy boys trying to pick up Shawn Michaels in the arm
bar entanglement like Bob Ecklan used to do and in a screaming at wing side,
you can do it, Davy, you can do it, Davy.
Finally, Old like stacks him up, gets a couple of two counts on
Seawn's shoulders, and then dead lifts him, drops into the cand absolutely makes
that. That's the exact noise that it made. I don't know if you
heard that exclamation dropped in the terminator. Two acid apparently whipping a bapp draw
on Shawn Michaels and hbk Chance breakout as Bulldog. He inanks him up by
the hair and lets him drop down. Oh yeah, puts a chin lock
on, but HBKA fights up and then Bulldog goes up to power bomb form
and basically is doing the Bruno San Martano backbreaker here. But before that,
so this is my mute kidding this this happened. So he's at that chin
lock in on Sean right, and Sean is powering out of it, and
he he does a squeezing motion with his hands to help get out of the
holder, like, you know, gives him the iggy power. Huh,
that's what they say, give you give him the iggy you do the squeeze.
What do you mean, which is like a way of communicating with your
opponent in the ring that you know, loosen up or oh okay, all
right, how's the time. So so Lawler sees the squeezing and he says
this, Seawn Michaels is thinking of a all right now, oh my god,
oh my god. Okay, Jerry, like speak for yourself. I
mean it is you know they fired him all the way, Jerry, Yeah,
I saw that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the regime, Pal
Jerry, there's just no place for you right now. You know, I
love you, but there's just not a place for a pervert. I mean
that's you know, legends deals, this legend deals that you know Vince did
those transactional key people on the hook you know, ye yep, they're out
there making money in the convention circuit. We need a piece. Let's lock
these guys up. They'll do it for short money. We saw Hogan's Legends
contract on TNH. We know what it's, how it's structured. There's no
reason to think that Ari Emanuel and TKO group going to continue those We're gonna
get, We're gonna get, We're gonna get a whole bunch of veterans who
all of a sudden don't get checks anymore. It's gonna be hilarious. Yep,
yep, all of a sudden they're missed off. They're start doing shooting
interviews about the dirt. You know, it would be a tremendous I can't
wait, Like you think the lawyer isn't ready to start firing right now.
I mean think about too, Like all these guys and any substance abuse.
You know, Vince would always pay for their they're they're like rehab stays and
stuff like that. You know that ain't gonna happen anymore. Amazing, I'm
gonna pay what would endeavor? Why does endeavor have to cover their problems?
Been down this road before, you kind of just want to take care of
no no margins. Now, listen, how can we afford that? What
are we what are we spending money on? You know they if they choose.
I mean, look, how can we put rehab into our flywheel?
I'm gonna look Number one, if we have rehab basically on call for us,
that just doesn't it's not a good look. Number appreciated. Number two,
And I don't mean this. Listen, this is gonna sound callous.
I don't mean it to sound callous. I mean, I understand they're human
beings, but I got to look at it from the bottom line. All
right, Why am I responsible for their personal problems? Here we go again,
all right, Like, I just I can't, I can't. I
mean, if we all want to slap the notes out of an arm and
Catton's hand as well. Look, imagine if what if everybody in the whole,
what if everybody an endeavor was addicted to something? Right, you know
it's driver alpha. Am I going to pay for everybody to go to rehab?
It's crazy, that's crazy. Like, it's just not what you say.
Hollywood Studios should be on the hook to pay for the rehab bills of
you know, the people that they temporarily employed to shoot a movie that's great.
You see, you don't see, you don't see Warner Brothers. Like,
look, and I understanding Toby Maguire's rehabs. I get it. Listen,
I don't know. I mean, Jesus Christ, I negotiate for talent.
I have. I have relationships, conflict relationships on both sides of the
table, and every deal I do. I just want to guys, listen,
I understand, Marty Manuel, please, I understand that. You guys,
you know, listen, you have your own give it a little corner
in the entertainment industry. Okay, I get it. Understand, Paul,
I get it. And that's the thing, you know what, Like you
guys have said it, it's a family business. I'm industry. You guys
are running a small business industry. You're not. You're not a family business
anymore. Now. You are your big Hollywood talent agencies like I. You
talk about your your guaranteed money. Look, I have I have at least
ten multimillion dollar deals going on at the same time right every given day.
Property I got, I got residuals, I got so much going on splits
all right. And I can't be there sitting and wondering, wait a minute,
if if we're taking this because mistake Roberts is taking off some ton again,
I can't, Paul, I can't. I can't pay for that.
If he has a death wish, that's his problem, you know. And
I wish him the best. I don't want him to be a good guy,
right exactly. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to die.
However, that being said, if that's the best way to is that
that's the way he's heading. Please, you know, there's only so much
I can do like a twenty three year old like pr agent, like throat
slash, gesture behind back. I just don't go there. And what am
I going to do? Pay for your divorce bills as well? Oh?
That shut him up. He looked at this desk on that one jangle those
bracelets on the on the table again, trips like do you want me to
do? You want me to pay for your lawyer and staffs too? You
know, like where does it pay for Vince's you know we have what where
does the bucks stop? Paul? Why do we owe these people mummy?
When they're not assets in our flywheel? Listen, I'll tell you if you
if you want to bring them in and you want to give them a job
in some fashion, then we can give them the chuck ladell get the fuck
out of here job, you know if you want to, I don't know
give what do you what do you call the guys that that that that that
kind of helped choreograph the matches the fight wrestlers agents right right right? See,
I'm an agent. I take that one versatily. All right, like
I don't know what they're doing. I don't know what they're associating. You
ever see R lists? I mean like listen, I mean do you watch
on You ever see Hontourage? All Right, I'm Ari Gold. That's me.
Okay, that's me. Now listen, if you need to bring these
guys on and give them a job, and you know, then we can
talk about the company maybe helping them in some fashion, you know they'll have
maybe we can give them, you know, maybe if you give them one
of the office jobs, they can they can be you know, you can
get them on the on the company insurance. But I'm not going to take
these guys off the street. I mean I can do that anywhere. My
exposure, my downside exposure is unlimited, and my upside exposure is none.
I said exposure a bunch of times. Doesn't that make me? Doesn't that
make points superior? If anything, I don't want to be exposed. So
we gotta we gotta lay low with this rehab stuff. Okay, it's with
Jerry. He had a stroke. He he had a heart attack on our
television show and came back to work for us. I understand and listen.
I appreciate that, but that was yesterday. That's right. You're part of
the big family. Now wow, all right, you're you're You're part of
my family. And I know it's going to take some time for the climate
at WW to adjust to a more you know, industry appropriate climate, but
let me tell you, if it takes to my dying day, I'm going
to transform the way this company does business to a way that is in keeping
with industry and players I sit at the table with and have zoom calls with
and shit listen, because here's the deal, Paul. I'm not gonna let
the WW be an embarrassment Tom Wow Wow World Wrestling. Immanuel. All right,
So if I need to come in there and start cracking skulls, I'm
gonna do it. We're talking top line, we talk in bottom line.
I mean, you have to start to learn accounting terms, Paul. We
can't just have these conversations without saying things like ribadah. We get to we're
we're we're in a synergistic relationship. Correct. Wait a minute, laps already
just happened. Just for the record, anyway, So a bulldog with the
chinlong HBK fights up to the to the backbreaker. The Brunos Dow backbreaker goes
to the bulldog, and Vince Seawan has yet to lose by surrendering. But
anything happened in the WWF. That's about the tenth time he said it.
Sean frees the grip, he said, leaps to a crucify. That's uh,
I guess that's not including uh when he when he gave up to Brett
Hard at ninety two. Right, that's well done, bought hell done,
which Vince's uncommentary for right, so good. So he leaps to the crucifix,
but no, bulldog isn't going down. He sits down, he turns
to drop. Always very effected with that spot. I love it. I
always love that. I like the idea that it is a you know,
it's a risky maneuver, but it's good ship. Yep, love good ship.
So then a bulldog hits the ropes big leg drop for two. Oh,
when is barking? My brother in law is going to be the next
WWF champions. Who's the loser you are? I got that's really fucking funny.
I love Owen. That's so who's a loser you are? Sewn Michael
Right after that, you can hear the woman screaming again, and you can
hear bulldogs screams shut up, shut up, and Sean puts his hands up
like they're going to do something about her, like you know, he's he's
in Davy Boy's chin lock, but he's gesturing into his hands, like about
this this fan again. I think it's such a fucking loser. And then
Earl Hebner forgetting he's apparent instructions for Sean Michaels walks away from both wrestlers,
and it is saying something totally off care bra taking his eye off the action
to accommodate Sean Michael's here. I just don't understand. I don't understand how
like why this this person is like honestly, this woman won, Oh,
this woman won completely one. And then here they cut to Owen at ringside
in a profile shot and you can tell this woman's bugging him too. He
closes his eyes like you would if you were so annoyed and trying to it's
trumend to stuff. So Sean builds up in the sleeper hole, breaks free
and goes to the gun of Dave Boy Smith hits the ropes in whoa bulldog
over the head and HBK stumbles and stills to the floor. It's crazy.
Before that, though, Lawler Lawler Uh shared some of the words that Marty
Jeanetti told him. Marty Jannetty told me personally that Sean Michaels, you know,
when he went with women, he was always afraid of commitment. He
didn't he didn't want to hear those three little words whenever he was with the
woman. I said, what were those words? I love you? He
said, no, honey, I'm home. I'll dare you what fence dare
you? It is false, you know, taking umbradge yep, so on
the floor. Bulldog puts Michaels head of the rail, A proper rail,
by the way, painted gold, yes, steel, gone rail. I
don't know. The replay shows is what Sean hit the floor Almost looks like
he tripped over Davy Boy's foot as he ducked. They it's a very it's
a very weird thing like it looks like he tripped up on but you can't
really tell. Like I for the first when he first did, I thought
it was a knee. Oh yeah, that that bulldog did a kitchen sink
knee. But it wasn't. It's like he just like tripped or something.
And I don't know if that was on purpose or what, but flailing to
the floor. Yeah, back up to the apron. Sean throws some shoulders
to the gut and hot shots Davy Boy, and then he does a sling
shot Larry At lunging at Davy and drops him. Then a headlog pushed off
and the clockheads in the center for a double down. In case anyone was
wondering, Jela Thario was still out there, Oh yeah, right, because
he's he's making about as much impact out there as if he was taking a
nap. So Vince says that Diana shocked the world when she said Shawn michaels,
I know you want me, And I was like, many of that
should have been Diana's theme and not Sonny's. Can you imagine her coming out
with her monotonous face to that song I Know you want me, I know
me, I Know you want me? Show oh shit, oh no,
that you want my love. Sean Duckson scores the flying forearm and kIPS up
to a pop and then a slam and a stomp, and he climbs a
black handle for two. Hepner slapping, echoing like crazy in this building.
Yes, backup, whip dropped down, Davy Boy kicks him right hand,
headlock, push off and bulldog runs over Hebner like a one hundred miles an
hour. Oh, I know it'll have to earn that ref bump Hepner knocked
out of it. I imagine, I imagine that they like Davy Boy.
I always wondered, like he's scary when he gets when he gets fucking charged,
charging like that, like I wouldn't want to be a ref difficult to
control. Right, he's gonna he's gonna get you. And uh, Sean
Michael's body slams Davy Boy and they show like the double feature and in both
boxes it's the same live feeds so fucking pathetic. Then Sean scores the top
rope eilbow drop. Of course that's the precursory I have actually on the right
side. Then live action on the left side as a precursor to tuning up
the band, which he does. Owen Hart comes in and Sean nails him
to a pop, and then a bulldog attacks from behind, and then another
referee runs out. My Keyotada gets a bulldog's face and here it is.
Here it is a bulldog lifts Sean in a power slam position, but Sean
drops behind and shoves him into the turn buckle and then hits a big German
suplex with a bridge combination to Shawn Michaels. It's one, it's two,
and it's three, and it gets a big pop and they play bulldog's music.
Yep, and they raise his hand and say now because apparently the referee
who counted the three that was in the ring thought the Davy boy while German
suplexed. Indeed the landed on Seawan and seawan shoulders were down. Yeah,
we have a new champion. Diana has the WWF championship belt in her hand
and she fucking takes that thing. She makes a be like I mean,
honestly, I don't know if if she thought it was real or if she
was trying to like, if she was just I mean, this was if
if this was all planned, It's the best performance she's ever done, honestly,
because she grabs that belt and leave so fast. She's the biggest mark
in the family. I know, she really is. It's amazing. Cornett's
in the ring, uphoric going in there with a slammy. They're all raising
each other's hands as Earl raises suddenly Sewan Michael's hand, and then they play
Shawn Michael's music instead, and and Howard Finkle announces actually instilled WWF champion Shawn
Michaels. However, Diana still leaves with the belt. Yes's standing in the
aisleway holding the belt over her heead and it's fucking upside down. I hate
when people do that. I hate when people don't don't know, and it
happens quite a bit. Hogan's done it too. It happens way too often.
If you have can you please look at the fucking belt and realize how
it is before you raise it up, because you're you're embarrassing me. I
mean, one of the most cringe. It's bad enough because I'm a I'm
a wrestling fan, so I'm embarrassed anyway, but like now you're you're you're
you're embarrassing me even further. And it's one of those cringe things I've ever
seen Diana holding that belt with her like skinny arms and it's like wide.
You know, she's got both wide ends of the belt and I know she's
forcing it topped. You know, she's not holding it, you know,
slightly to the left and right of the face plate, like she's not even
she's not even like smiling like she thinks she's the champ. I know she
does. She looks like someone who walks around and the TURNSTI in the concourse
of the arena with the belt right exactly fucking los her. Oh my god,
she's the worst. And the fan actually tries to grab it out of
her hand and she gets it away. But can you imagine you imagine if
a fan snatched the WWF title and like ran off with it in this show,
Oh my god, she'd be like, this is this is the sound
she'd make? Should should sound like fucking lou Albano. The only thing they
can make this show more notorious is if that happened on top of it all.
So you know, she's smirking like she's about to smile as she hoists
the championship because she's envisioned this all her life. Apparently, yes, And
here comes WWF President Grilla Monsoon from behind and snatches the belt right out of
Diana's hands that she's holding over her head, and he gets to the ring
HBK Chancer in full effect here, and Gorilla is conferring with Howard Finkel.
The replay shows that the shoulders were down in fact of both competitors. Vince
has nothing to say when they show up the replay. He's not a spinet.
And then Fink says, both officials have counted both athletes childers to the
match for a count of three, and after further consultation, WWF President Grillan
Monson has declared this match of draw. It just fucking started up again.
There's a lot of appet announcement. What bothers me about about this kind of
stuff is that is that much like the Royal the ninety four Royal Rumble and
then the two thousand and five Royal Rumble, it's like, well, wait
a minute, you know you both you both did it the you know,
why didn't you do this in ninety four? Right? You know, like
why didn't just fucking we start the match? But you know, I mean
I wish there was a ruling on it so that whenever, whenever this kind
of thing happened, there was always a draw. Like it had to be
a draw, right, could at least say there's a fucking rule that says
that if there's a double pin for some reason or referees you know, can't
agree on the winner, then then then it's a draw. People take umbrage
with this finish and talk about it, you know, pejoratively as like a
dusty finish or something, and that you know, both guys win and both
guys lose. But what's really most frustrating is exactly what you said, is
that the sands of program that when you say draw, that that means they're
going to get an extra five minutes. So it really pisses them off is
that you don't give them that five minutes, not that you did a double
pin finish, right and right, However, the World Wresting Federation title cannot
change handswd Finkle announces as a result of the job, they don't even do
it, Like why not do it to the point where you know, you
could have had it. You could have I would have been okay if if
they they go with this finish and then and then they do this, they
do this finish, but then they restart the match for like five minutes and
and have have would be like a like a like a screwy dq thing.
Would rather that. Yeah, really where where you know it could have been?
You know, obviously they want to do another one King of the Ring.
I get it. Well, no, they didn't even know it yet
because because Bulldog was out, wasn't he leaving? Well, he gave his
notice the night after, so they booked this finish before he gave his formal
notice. I see, So all right, so they think that they so
they think they're they're booking for King of the Ring anyway. Yeah, I
think that's safe. So so yeah, why not why not do a thing
like then you have a valid story for Bulldog if like, uh, you
know, they have this this this double pin fall situation and the match goes
on, and you could have a thing where uh you know, I mean
it probably pissed people off even more, but maybe maybe there's a chair thing
or whatever, and uh uh you know, someone hands Sean a chair,
like when Hebbs's back is turned and then heads turns around and Shawn's got the
chair and he disqualifies him. Yeah, and then it's like then then you
also have a Bulldog winning, you know, without really taking any keat off
Sean, and then Sean can get the big revenge win at King of the
Ring, right you know, not how they did it? No, not
at all, So Phin says, therefore pending a rematch for the title between
these two athletes. Still word Wrestling Federation Champion, the Heartbreak Kids, Shawan
michaels I do miss still the innocence of if the champ retains the belt,
even if it's a screwery finished, the crowd still pops positively. Yes,
I love that I missed that. All over the finish they celebrate that Elisi
still has the belt. Yep, they they they and also they they celebrate
if if a babyface wins in general, right you know, DQ count out
submission pin doesn't matter if if a if a babyface wins, he gets a
pop. So Shawn Michael drops the belt and wait on Bulldog for some more
fighting. Lathario's in there. Loathario touches WWF gold for the first time in
this moment, raises Shan's hand and Vince says this has never happened in the
World Wrestling Federation, and as they replay it, they show that Shawn's German
was really like a back back suplex because he has his head off to the
side. He doesn't have it in the center of Davy's back, and Lawler
makes hay out of a small, small, tiny motion, he does a
bulldog tw two and three. Bulldog did lift it up? Sneaky motherfucker.
So Sean poses as the lights go down, but this time in a planned
way, right, sure? Why not? And uh he doesn't really pose
hardly at all, and they immediately fade away. I mean they're just rushing
off the air. It's just so so negative vibes altogether. Yep, and
off we go on the Peacock version and home video straight to Beware of Dog
Too. Charleston's Aware of Dog Too, North Carolina, Jay and mister Perfect.
As we mentioned on the commentary, Steve Austin's already in the ring.
Yep, Bear Bones entry. Oh yeah, I talked about it. This
is the second time in forty eight hours that Steve Austin and Salvia Vega have
got it on. Yeah, this is probably the twelfth time at forty eight
hours that shown Michaels and Sonny have gotten it on. A good point two
nights ago in the dark after they show some clips in the dark between Savio
and Austin really intrigues me. Where's the where's the footage? Right? I
know, release the tapes? So did you do you think had the nWo
gotten to Deeves by this point in the two days that yeah, happened and
Scott Hall invaded and I suppose that's I suppose that's onement, but it's more
color on his departure here coming up after the end of the matchup. Indeed,
but Perfect says, how can he know how many buckles Savio touched?
He immediately jumps on the idea that because they were in the dark, you
can't say Savio won because there's no way to know the official could see it.
I agree, so Debiassi raw They mentioned it outed the step that if
Austin doesn't win, you might not you won't see him again, and he's
gonna four his career. And Austin makes a face like what like he said
that without Austin's knowledge and Caribbean strap match rules, they're both joined at the
wrist to the left wrist ten foot leather strap got a first person to touch
all four corners in succession wins, you know, pins their submissions. Important
to note at this point that Steve Austin has no leg braces. Oh,
that is so noticeable. I'm so glad you said that. I was like,
what is going on here? What's standing out about him? To me?
Yep, there are no leg braces, so it's it's remarkable to see
his knees and to think how compromised and his knees would become. Mm hmmm.
So Savio hits the ring and has been no tang tang tang to get
in and remember their slip side steps that if he loses, he has to
become ted Dibiosti's chauffeur to Savia Vega Great Austin and the rings swinging down the
strap, not letting Savio win, right, He's trying to keep him on
the outside of the ring and black trunks, blind boots, bald head,
the whole presentations there, yep, for the taking. His go to isn't
full yet, it's still a little. It's the connected the mustache in the
bottom. No, no, which is concerning. It is concerning. It's
very like, what are you a fucking not? How do you lost this
guy and musketeer, multimillion dollar player. I mean, look at the guy's
face. I know, I know, he's like a mid carter to them.
Direction. I didn't see it either. I mean, well, it's
like I I I did when he first came in, you know, when
when he came in as a ring master. Don't forget I I remembered him
from W C W and I was I was stoked because of that. I
was like, fuck, yes, like we got one, you know.
And then they kind of just did nothing with him and for a while,
and he kind of forgot about him, and so I just didn't think he
was a big deal anymore there and then yeah, and then you know,
then then the the King of the Ring thing happened, and that was a
complete shock to me. I thought for sure it was going to be Jake
Roberts. Jake, Yeah, I thought for sure. And then when he
came in and just fucking smoked the uh oh my god, just smoked Jake
and came out there and then just gave that badass promo. I was like,
oh shit, this guy, this guy means business. Whole world said
something like that that night. Yep. So Austin Vega Caribbean Strap Match Million
Dollar Title is positioned right under the Schaffort hat for Savi Vega man not up
for grabs, not up for grabs. Oh so the wrister attached the bell
sound tim White presiding and they're pulling and snapping the strap at a fair distance
from each other early, and then he pulls closer and Savio swings and Austin
ducks and bails out, but he can't go too far. That's the point
of strap match. So they get that across early, which is good.
Austin slides back in a tug of war resumes. Austin kicks the gut and
haulds off with the strap whip reverse dropped down and Austin takes a great back
body drop, of course he does, and Savia goes to whip. Austins
rolls out of the ring back when he could do that absolutely, I know,
and he soared too. Yeah, So Savio yank's Austin back into the
ring, up to the apron and then back in and Austin rolls back out
of the ring. This time Savio gives chase and yanks. Austin is a
hard shot and Austin takes a great, unwieldy bump on the outside. That's
one thing about the bumps Austin takes her. They seem so uncontrolled. They
seem so so like extra chaotic, which is which is good for the match.
It's very good for the match. dB Aussi screaming at Austin is hilarious,
just the way he's like fucking on the line for christ I know,
well, it's your own doing. I know you don't want to be in
this position. Savia starts whipping the hell out of him. Oh, I
was expecting that one. That's a new one in the repertoire. Austin lunges
over the ropes, but he's hanging on and Savia whipped him in the face.
That's a that's a receipt for Sunday Night sign? Did you say,
by the way, by the way, we have Jr. And mister Perfect
on commentary, now yeah we do, Yeah, yeah, yes. Sign
on the wall Papa John's Pizza. I don't mean a sign being held by
an audience member. They have a Papa John's Pizza sign on the wall of
this building in North Charles store. I don't know if that it started down
there. Maybe it did, but I don't know. It's strange. Savio
brings him in with the sup plex and keeps whipping supported. Maybe it's a
signing supports whatever, like you know, a little league team fucking plays in
this building, or you know kids basketball team or whatever the fuck could well
be spin kicked by Savio drops stone cold. Vega touches one corner, then
too, Jr. Says, without interruption, Austin. Austin awesomely yanks the
strap between Savio's legs and Savio flips over. It's great, Like, hey,
yeah, before you hit the second corner, you might want to make
sure the strap isn't between your legs. Savio. Yeah, right, but
it's a great bump. It's a great spot. Austin whipping them now and
Bega comes back fucking double egg. Then you get Jr. Saying when they're
whipping each other, they're on flesh. It's a j al line I've ever
heard once. Yeah, that's a clayd eye sected slicing. What is it
a lacerating? Yeah, So Vega doubleg Steve and j R. Sisavio is
taking in, taking it back to the streets, and Austin to the mountain
punches and they roll around and have a straight up brawl to the floor of
Savio with some big chops and Austin drives him into the ring apron. Austin
halls off and drops Savio on the rail, the gold rails still by the
way. Oh yes, yes, Austin goes under the ropes, but no,
it's nothing there for him. He can't get in there without coming over
the top rope first, apparently right right, So he comes out of the
ring and then jumps over the top to resume what he wants to do,
which is hanging Savio by the neck over the top rope. But he couldn't
do that if he slid at the bottom because when you stand up right,
the fucking straps caught in the bottom rope. Oh hell, oh well,
and then Austin with a huge lash over his head swinging as Savio is is
coming up trying to save himself from being hung, and he took it big
shot in the head. Austin suplex's vega back into the ring. However,
Austin hog ties the angles of Savio, drags him around the ring with him.
Make the rounds, it's one, gets some slack, it's two,
reaching for three, but no. Savio turns Austin around, throws him into
the corner, which is really awesome. Twirl him around if she was a
head droptor blade. It's I guess, but that so that doesn't that means
he didn't, right, I mean he was reset count reset count whipping lariat
jas even though even though he hit a fucking turn buckle. Absolutely yeah,
I know he hit a turn buckle. Anyway, right, it's be three,
right, that should be three. Jerius's Hugo Souvinovich said Savio was thirty
one and oh in Caribbean strap matches. Good to know. I guess that's
he said many other things Sunday night. As we heard, I'd call it
a word salad, but it's more of a taco salad. No, he's
he supported weekend. It's more of a ruugh for holas con a all salad
insanity with a little plantain. Oh my god, I love that right now.
There there's there's a there's a restaurant in New York. It's a it's
a Peruvian establishment. It's called peel Pio and they have number one. They
have the best rotisserie chicken ever and they have the best like spicy green sauce
ever. Pour that on there and oh, just we do what we would
do when we live in New Jersey, would get it every at least once
a month we'd get we would order from Po Po and it's like it's worth
the drive into the city just to fucking pick it up because I'm not delivering.
Did we get that once when I went over, we might have yeah,
curb side pickup. We brought it back, Yeah we might. Yeah,
Yeah, you're right, Yeah you do that. Yeah, And and
just fucking ripping off pieces of the chicken and dipping it in the sauce,
and like I always get extra sauce. And but they have just the fucking
best plantains. Wow. Oh, I'd have to get them. I'd have
to get them every time I want. If they tried them, I was
like, I gotta get these all the time. They're so fucking good.
Yeah, so smushy yet grilled yep, yep, exactly, Like they just
melt in your mouth, like just fucking glorious. I mean, one of
the most delicious things I ever had was a plantain pie. And San Juan
was a stopover before we got on a cruise boat. It wasn't like a
I didn't spend anywhere near as much time as I should have, but it
was old San Juan, and I got that fucking thing, just, don't
you know, just stopping in for something quick, and I was like,
oh my god, I was like standing on the sidewalk like unable to process
how delicious it was. Anyway, back to the match, insanity is Austin
batcrops saying to the floor in vega, yanksim and Austin comes spilling over like
a maniac. Oh, I mean that. That is one of the fucking
funniest things that you know, because because of the strap he's got to go.
He gets fucking pulled out. He threw Savia up. Yeah, yeah,
he didn't think about the second and third over effect. So fucking funny.
No knee brace, I wrote that down. Austin is uncomfortable. It's
uncomfortable to see Austin without a knee brace. Yeah, it makes me worried,
like you're unsupported. Exactly right, Savio blocks and suplexes Austin on the
floor. You realize, you realize any of these moments could have added to
the knee injuries. We'll watching the need for the knee brace develop in real
time. Right, exactly perfect, says Debosi. Looks nervous. Jarsis,
Can you blame him? Would you want to be leaving the WWF not now,
Perfect says, put that one they the folder, Austin off the steps
right to the gut, and Savia whips them with the belt, and and
and Jay Harm makes a weird fucking comment about the welts on on on the
backs of well both men at this point here it is what the welts at
least man's body, I mean, really really physical. What's physical the welts.
The welts are physical. Now the match is physical. No, no,
that's not what he said that. He said, Well, the welts
on the backer physical, really physical. They're definitely not psychologic. Can't talk
about the match. He doesn't talk about the match at all. He just
talks about welts being physical. Back in Welts, he hooks the leg with
a strap on it does Steve Auston, He touches one corner, two corners,
Perfect says, come on, Ted, grab him. Ye, you
can't get disqualified. It's a good point, right, Just fucking help your
guy. Yeah, yeah, there's no reason for him not to. Yeah,
you could, I mean the corners, by the way, sorry,
not Austin, Yes, yes, And DIBs is losing it. He hits
three corners to Savio dibiasis in aust his face, banging his fist, screaming
at him to do something, and then he Austin drags downside. Won't your
fucking waffles? All you do is waffle Savia with a million dollar Beltsly he
doesn't do it. It would have been tot totally acceptable. Austin drags down
Savia, Austin chops him with the strap, end goes all over him with
the strap and uh, Savia purchased Austin on the ropes and perfect says,
can you imagine how much it hurts? JR? Says? A couple of
trips to the woodshed in my day, but nothing like that JR. Woodshed
to see. Can you imagine? Can you imagine uh like a like a
like a twelve year old version of j R? Yes, all right,
he's still he's still fat and you know, got no neck and ship and
it's like a fucking chubby cherub face that he has. All right, Just
imagine having to go to the woodshed and get you know, whipped with a
fucking belt buckle not milking the cows, for not milking the cow's operly,
you ain't a squeeze enough milk out of them fucking teats. Why didn't you
do that? Son? I gotta whip you now it's Jake killed his peg.
Take in front of take your pants down. She get this old wood.
Oh god, oh my god, Dad, Oh God, Dad,
my god, dadda God, my god, Dad God God, almighty dubst
Derby. There's a particular podcast amazing Oh never time you hit my eyes like
a demolition. Everybody using my body. All this fucking catchphrases came from the
woodshed like you get get you get went like a government mule, government mule
season. He says, the fact that he's conversing with his dad as he's
getting beaten the woodshed, wood shed, okay, Jim, oh Jesus,
amazing stuff, idiot Muskoge reference in coming. You know, oh my god,
you're beating me like a like a damn barroom brawing this coggie Dad Dad,
He commentates his old whipping mike. He said, like a Friday night
in Muskogee. You know, so you might have a future in this commentary
type thing you're bend over. I wonder if I wonder if there are three
they ain't e been wrestling too. Fourteen personalities that he might want to name
check during the course of all this one more Son, Awes and Michael Tison
God God God Godson wants and tis It wants Aweson now j R. Yes,
thanks, Jim. Savio climb chops a bit and climbs, but he's
knocked back by a Steve Boston head butt of all things. Austin goes up
top, he gets tripped and lands on his crotch, and he climbs up
and is an amazing super plex. Yes he does here, beautiful superplex.
Hi, Steve Austin, I know by Savi Vega right, yeah, no,
Steve as wait, I don't know, I got it backwards here.
Yeah. Savio hits the suplex and then he touches one, two, three,
and he goes for the fourth and then awesome in an awesome spot.
Uh catches him, lifts him and runs and drives him into the canvas like
a football tackle. Yes, he does touch that fucking corner, not on
my watch, like tackling a shooter fleeing the scene of a you know,
a killing. Oh yeah, and uh perfect perfect, very concerned about dB
and he but he makes him. Uh I don't know. Listen to what
he says to me. It seems a little contradictory here, bbis he's done
it all here in the World Wrestling Federation. I'm sure he's far from being
over. If he's done it all, how can he be far from being
over. That's kind of rude to say he's fine. I agree, especially
if you're saying he's done at all. He hasn't done it all either,
by the way, Oh he has such as WWF title maybe never never,
Well, I guess he did win. Get in there. He did,
He had it for a moment. You can't deny that. Shop not be
warried. What is possession? Nine tenths of the law? Brother? This
perception reality? What that's the thing you learn at ww Van's perception is reality?
What do you perceive exactly? You know? Who? Uh guess who?
Uh guess who gets to do whatever the fuck he wants? In a
world where perception is reality, will be one guess exactly self serving idiom that
I listen. I believe. I believe that if you perceive something to be
true, then it is true. That's why we live in the world we
live in. We live in a world of a multi truths. What that
don't tell you about perception is I I alone decide the perception. What they
don't tell you about perception is that I perceive things right, and you have
to fall in line with what I perceive. If you want to have everyone
else fall in line with what you perceive, then you should open your own
company. Let's see how you're perceived. Then I'll see how I perceive you.
I perceived myself between your legs. How about that? Are you ready
to see me? Make that come to fruition. I am vintion of man.
Wow, that's where he's gonna leave it. Where he's gonna leaves all
right. Austin drapes Savio in the middle and chokes him a bit. Can't
get a full head of steam because of the strap, but he still jumps
on Savio draped across the middle rope. Austin then chokes Savio with the strap,
talks some shit not by an arm shot yeah, and again across the
back with the strap, goes Austin. He touches one corner, but Savio
collapses. Austin pulls him back, and Savia pokes him in the eye,
slugs him on the back of Austin puts out a kick to the nuts at
the same time. Oh my god. Austin then lifts Savio wentto the tombstone
position. Yep, Savi reverses, Austin reverses again. Very uncomfortable, very
uncomfortable. Summers ninety seven, That's all I'm thinking about. And they spilled
to the apron and Austin dump Savio to the floor. Austin on the middle
rope now sane insane, wraps the strap on Savio's neck and Vega tucks in
a kick. Savio comes down and incidentally the strap is wrapped around his neck
as well, and Austin from the top rope. And then I'm sorry,
what the fuck is Austin doing on the top rope? I know, it's
very strange. Number one was on the top rope. Number two. Number
two he's gonna do, by the way, He's gonna jump like Savage from
the top to the floor. Yeah, Steve Austin, Yeah, Steve Austin.
Here's the thing. He's not just he's not just jumping. He's he's
taking a bump, he's taking a fall. He's getting pulled on the wrist
and he goes flying the fuck, what the fuck doing that? Ah?
What it takes? He hits the rail. Austin comes back and yeah,
I don't think I've ever seen him off the top rope to the floor.
This has to be I don't remember an w c W the challenges out their
solar system. Yep, I find me another time. Austin decided to go
this far for the industry yep, because he gets yanked off that top rope
of the rail. Make no mistake for the industry. That's why he does
it. He doesn't. Yeah, you wonder why his fucking knees are all
busted? Right? Jesus Uh Austin. However, it gets back in the
driver's seat, drives Savia one of the ring. Steps outside of the ring,
yanks Austin again in the steps of Savio, they roll back into mister
perfect says he hopes. Uh, all these construction workers thinking they can be
pro wrestlers at home or watching this. That means, by the way,
that Kurt Heading is impressed with the match. For those seeking translation of wrestler
speak, it's fucking war on. Savio has Austin on his shoulders and touches
one. Austin drops down grips the pants and the sunset flip position, but
Savio punches down to break that hold and then slaps two. Wait, that
wasn't a breaking up the plane. That wasn't an interruption of the momentum?
Right? And Jarris's was it? Three? He's not even sure how many
buckles have been touch Savio watch towards it in Austin with an incredible yank that
whips Savio around like like he just got hit by a car, and then
Dbasi with his head in his hands at ringside, Austin hooks him up with
a pile driver and god damned as he spiked him. Oh Debsci caused one
more. He tries it, but god damn that did you get for listening
to Dbasi? Savio blocks the pile driver and back drops out, sending Austin
to the canvas back up. Million Dollar Dream is now hooked by Steve Austin,
Savio flailing in the hold. Austin tries to jump on his back,
like take his back, and he does, but Savio, while in the
hold, touches one, touches two. He's fading a million dollar Dream.
The crowd's hot as they realize something's going on, yeah, Savia, so
close. Savio holds up and actually kicks his feet off of the corner buckling
for three and lands on Austin's body. And that like Burt Hart would do,
and in uh say, November, in November, sure, and you
know what that means. We restart the count. Indeed, even though Savio
is the one who touched three buckles, when he touches the third buckle with
his foot and off his his own volition, pushes himself to the mat,
that somehow breaks the count. He failed. They should just say I figured
it out. If you get knocked off your feet, it breaks the count.
That's the bill. That could be the case, and that's kind of
the rule they follow. But they just never figure out that they should expressly
say yeah, you never actually say it. It's very bizarre. So it's
restarted, and Austin lifts and hotshots Savio. In the post, he wraps
a strap around Savio's neck and throws the strap over his shoulder, so he's
pulling Savio around the ring like he's got Santa Sack over his shoulder, slaps
one corner, dragging Savio behind him, and Savio, we realize is touching
the buckle right after Steve does, which I guess doesn't break the count exactly.
How can how can a breaking the cap thing exist if both guys can
simultaneously touch the buckle? I mean, doesn't Savio hitting the buckle breaks Steve's
count and start his own? Yes, apparently vice versa doesn't Steve's break Savio's
right. No, it's good finished, but it it does drive me nuts.
Yeah, it does me. They never actually sat down to figure out
how to explain this to the audience. Yeah, we gotta go finish,
but we don't know how we're gonna get there. Right, But that's okay,
better believe Savio is slapping it every time. Austin is uh second time,
and then Austin is along the ropes dragging him to the third, and
they both hit third. He's going for the fourth. Savio almost misses it,
but he gets it. He leaps over Austin's back and hits the fourth
buckle before Austin does. Right. Yeah, well it kind of a it's
also it's it's a mix of that. But but Austin also yanks. You
know, Austin doesn't realize that Savio has been doing that. There's no idea
that that Savio is erey too. Yeah, and so he yanks he yanks
Savio, that's right, and he goes into the fourth Austin kind of does
it to himself. Yeah, which I think is what is the idea that
I did that to myself? So I'd get rid of that goddamn ted dB
Oh god, that's right. Yeah, you said that. I forgot all
about that wrinkle wrinkle to it. So that's it. Savio's yanked into the
fourth corner and in twenty one minutes and twenty seven seconds. My god,
I mean, who fucking said let's see what they can do? That guy?
Hell of the match exactly. He loved it in the dark. Apparently
once you guys, let's do it again, do it again, beat the
shit out of yourselves. Twenty one, twenty seven, Savio Vega defeats Steve
Austin Beware of Dog Too. When the strap match crowd explodes, perfect saying
he can't win on that canny. Can you win on being yanked through the
corner? It's a good point. Yeah, yeah, yes, So of
course Teddy be asked. He's up on the apron screaming, and Austin's bouncing
around. He gets out of the ring, goes up the aisle. He
throws up his hands. He's like, hell old it. He's like,
fuck, hell, fuck you, fuck this shit. I'm out of here,
out of dodge. Savio hits the hits the microphone, and it's time
for the song. We have to serenad Teddy ask the fed. Here we
go. Let's do that. Let's hear what he's gotta say. The right
you'll say what that night? I guess sucking for you? Taking yes,
yes, it they're right? So are any yell so loud? No,
no, no, no, come on, this is ridiculous. I think
it's just soaking in a million dollar man and look at all the people.
Here's a lustious career in a douga w M. Has stuff been ended by
Sabby olvega? What're seeing? History of the making era. I can't believe
it. A million dollar man. We'll be leaving the world, I think
federation. So we turned to Teddy Biassi's book to get the context into this
departure. He starts going back to when he was managing the Million Dollar Corporation
and SID in nineteen ninety five, and he writes, after SID left the
company. I was very fortunate to manage one of the most successful wrestlers in
the history of the company, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Back then he was
known as the ring Master. Once again, Vince thought that I could help
get Steve over with the fans. Steve had worked in the ww with Stunning
Steve Austin. He was a good worker and held a few singles titles as
well as the tag team titles with Brian Pellman. Together they were the Hollywood
Blonds. While wrestling in Japan, Steve suffering an injury and had to take
some time off. The next thing you know, WW boss Eric Bischoff fired
him. That had also been a reporter that Eric didn't think Austin was marketable.
What was he thinking? Steve would go on and win the Wwfavyweight Championship
on six different occasions and his hands down one of the greatest wrestlers in the
history of WWE. I like Steve the first time I met him. He
was a very likable guy and had a lot of chrism and talent. He
had a deep appreciation for the sport and respected those who paved the way for
him. Steve was always working to get better and he could. He would
always listen to me. I remember early on some of the agents were unnecessarily
critical of Steve's ring work. Steve asked me, Ted, so and so
keeps coming up to me and telling me that I need to do more in
the ring, especially at my TV match, as they say that I have
to pick up the pace and do more high flying moves and things like that.
What do you think, Steve, don't change anything. Do you see
fucking Steve Austin like coming like doing that at arms folded immersion of these guys
talking about, you know, I gotta pick up the pace a little bit,
do little more hot flying gimmick. What are you thinking about that?
I could totally fixture it. He's like almost like youatory towards Ted about it.
Yeah, what's your opinion? I'm looking for it. I look for
input. I want a little input on that. Give me your old pine.
Yeah. They want him flying around like Mark Merrow so we can tear
you talk about over a beer, Steve, don't change anything. Of course,
Ted gave the the key word of wisdom, I said, and I
said he should be What you should do is become stone cold. I told
him, Steve you should feud evinced is what you should do. And in
you know, maybe late ninety seven you just s heart a feud of the
vincick Man. Just Teddy Bessy's book of Greg Gania ghost written, Steve,
don't change anything. What you're doing in the ring is you know. I
had the idea of Steve Austin doing going up against the boss of the company.
I had that back in eighty seven. Wow is that hurd? Was
Greg? Oh? Greg, yeah, no, I have that idea back
in eighty seven talking about that. Oh yeah, you know, I said,
you know we should have You know, I saw that Steve Austin guy,
you know one time, and I said, you know, you're going
to a convincing man. That'd be money. Greg so pissed. He didn't
find a way. He wasn't able to make a fucking weird ass payday off
WrestleMania and this year next year, oh you know it had some kind of
scheme line it. I was hoping to get back the house from also Mike
Manatonka. It's gone, Pal, Steve, don't change anything. I told
him. What you were doing in the ring is wrestling in a way that
is believable. You aren't flying all over the ring like a ping pong ball,
and that's a good thing. He kind of was, but it's well
but in a good way. Though he wasn't best selling. He's not.
Yeah, he wasn't like doing wild Man Mark Merrill bullshit. Your style makes
you different from others. You are wrestling very old school now, Steve.
The way you work might not get you over with the crowd as fast as
the high flyers, but everything you do in the ring is crisp, sound,
unbelievable, and because of your sound technique, you will eventually get over.
And when you get over with the crowd, you can bet the house
that you will be prominently over. Stick to your guns and keep doing what
you're doing in the ring. I believe that you will soon be one of
the top heels this company's ever had. This all quotes he remembers every word
he said to him. Of course it is I was right, Tad declares,
Along the Way, I gave Steve the million dollar belt. Since he
was my guy, it made sense for me to just give him Along the
Way. No, you did it like day worry one moron to just give
him my title. I think the belt and Steve's association with me played a
major role in helping him initially get over with the crowd. I had to
face it. My heart was no longer in the wrestling business. Despite all
the success I had but the Word Wrestling Federation from nineteen eighty seven to nineteen
ninety three as a wrestler, television commentator, and manager, I no longer
wanted to spend so much time on the road. I thought it was time
for meen he got off the road once and for all, to make my
family and faith the top priorities in my life. Sounds like somebody got caught
cheating. Yeah. Right. Since my contract required me to give written notice
if I wanted out, I decided to write Vince a letter. The letter
was drafted by my attorney to make sure all was legal and per the guidelines
of my contract. It said that I did not want to renew my contract
as it was written. When Vince received the letter, I guess he was
very upset. On May twenty sixth, nineteen ninety six, at the next
major pay per view TV taping in Your House eight Beware of Dog, Vince
said dead I received her letter. You will finish today. Wow. We
shook hands and I said okay, but I really didn't want it to end
this way. If Vince had been willing to keep me as a manager and
commentator so that I didn't have to be on the road all the time,
I would have renegotiated my contract and stayed. I was told by the creative
team that when I went into the ring with Steve, I was to cut
this promo. I am so confident that the ring master can beat Salvia Vega
that if he doesn't, I will permanently leave the World Wrestling Federation forever.
In the Crimin' Straft match, I interfered and caused Steve to lose. As
I left the ring, the capacity crowd in Florence, South Carolina were going
bananas as they enthusiastically chanted non Nona, Hey, Hey, Hey, goodbye.
After all that I had been through in the World Wresting Federation, it
was a pretty unceremonious end to the career of the million Dollar Man. The
wrestling business had been very good to me. I rose to a level of
success and achievement that few guys get to do in the industry. I will
always be grateful for the opportunities that Vince gave me with his company. He
gave me an unbelievable character and the means to maintain it for nearly a decade.
My time unceremonious. What do you want to do? I know he
It's not like he can get in the ring like a retirement ceremony out of
nowhere for the heel manager, right. I mean, if anything, he
did it like any other fucking guy. Would you leave the territory when you
you know you have your your loser leaves town match. My time with Vince
in the World Wrestling Federation was hands down the greatest in my career. I
wish I would have spoken Vince directly and not sent him that letter. At
the time, I just didn't think that Vince would understand. I still regret
it to this day. I had a chance to reconcile with Vince in two
thousand and three at Road Warrior Hawk's funeral. Hawk had died in his sleep
from a heart attack at forty six, along with the kid of cole Off.
I asked to give the eulogy. We were very good friends, and
I know that before he died he'd accepted Jesus as his savior. During a
quiet moment, I pulled Vince aside. It was the first time I had
seen him since nineteen ninety six. We hug and shook hands. Then I
said, Vince, it is great to see you. I haven't had a
chance to talk to you in a long time. I just wanted you to
know that I shouldn't have sent you that letter. I should have just sat
down and told you how I was truly feeling face to face. I didn't
get it. Wants to tell you then, but I am telling you now
what letter were talking on that. Vince nodded his part and said, you
should have told me, Ted, I would have understood. But now I'm
glad you told me. I got word that you were upset with me because
I told some of the boys that I was happy to finally get out of
the company. Well. I did make that statement, but it was misinterpreted.
It wasn't like, oh my gosh, I am finally out of Ford
Wrestling Federation. What I was trying to say was that I could finally relax
from the grind of being on the road. Yeah, okay, Ted,
please understand that I didn't leave the company because I was dissatisfied or unhappy.
Of course not. I left because I was neglecting my family and trying to
get my personal life in order. She found out about the woman. He
quotes Vince's responding, I understand, and thank you for sharing that with me.
I appreciate you sharing that with me. I don't remember the letter,
I don't care about the letter, and quite readylyan that. Notwithstanding, I
am fine, Wow, thank you wow. And even if you know he
wanted to handle he would have liked it to have been handled differently towards the
end, maybe a little bit of more of a accommodation extended his way for
all his years of service, that maybe he could take a lighter road schedule
and still somewhat be involved. At least Ted can say, you know what,
clean break, I'm out of the business that's causing so much strife in
my personal life that that's impacting my health. I mean, that's that's really
what it's about, right, I Mean, he's finally out of the business,
and he's going to stay there, right, trullionaireed Ted Dude II to
him brother next chapter, World Championship Wrestling. I wanted to get off the
road, however, still wanted to be part of the wrestling business. Oh
my god, is it my blood? What else was I supposed to do
to make a living? You realize you realized, Ted that you can't not
be on the road and while you're involved in wrestling, like it's just they
go hand in hand, because you're not in the same place unless you're in
TNA. I don't see how every single thing he left WWF to avoid is
not exactly what he threw himself right back into in WSW. I mean,
I guess he didn't have to work. He only had to work TV date,
it's probably probably to do house shows. I never graduated from college and
had no other skills. After a show in La back in nineteen eighty three,
I ran into Berry Bloom, a Hollywood agent. It there and I
became friends. We talked about a lot of things. He says that I
was unhappy and asked me what was wrong. I poured out my art to
him. I mentioned that I was very unhappy with my current working situation and
being away from my family. Barry was supportive and understanding. He mentioned that
there might be another option. They might want you at WCW. Really sure,
why can't you go to ww do the same thing you're doing with Vince.
You can go to ww's and manager or television commentator. Intrigued, I
asked, do you think there was any interest? Ted? I don't know,
but I can easily find out. I didn't hear from Barry again until
we were back on the West Coast for some spawn shows. I called Berry.
I wish it was I wish it was just there. I didn't hear
from Barry ever again again as he died in a helicopter crash. Yep.
He told me to swing by the office when I had some time one afternoon.
As I walked into his office, the head of ww Eric Bischoff,
was there and didn't say too long. We exchanged and casual chat and I
said, okay, guys, I have to leave to get ready for tonight's
show. We shook hands and Eric jokingly said, Ted, if you ever
get tired of working where you are, look us up. Okay. So
yeah, Ted definitely didn't have this in mind when he left WWF WOW.
A couple of days later, Barry called me and said the WCW had genuine
interest in me. It was after the call from Barry that I started thinking
about going to work for WCW. I thought that maybe the move would be
the best thing for my career and family. Managers in w W didn't go
on the road. Yeah, you nailed at their boss. Ye, there
it is. I would only have to be away from my home every Monday
and May of nineteen ninety six, my contract had ended with World Wrestling Federation.
According to the provisions, I was required to set out for ninety days.
Meantime, I got ahold of Barry and told him that I was interested
in working for WCW. And that's that here. Beware of dog too,
wow de birds, I himself swinging at nothing on his way up at w
w F. I away for the final time, and certainly you know,
as has established there in Chetti Bassi's book, After that two thousand and three
encounter at Hawk's funeral, it was all water under the bridge until Vince got
on the phone in the parking lot of the funeral home. Ted Ted's got
a son, right? Can we get about him? In ruined his life
and his career and then fire his ass? Can I? You know what
can we do? Right? How easily is it that we can destroy a
person's life? Because if we can do it, without spending a lot of
money. I'd love to do that. It's not worth spending a lot of
money on someone like Ted. But I understand he has a son, bell.
I understand he's got he's got he's got a he's got kin. That's
true, it's true, he has kin. Well, the stranges things changes
a lot of things. What if we all right, bear with me here,
What if we destroy his life and the life of the sun of Dusty
Rhodes. Wow, at the same time we have Brandy Horton shipping their bags.
Yeah, I like this. I like my plan as it regards that's
wonderful as it regards tobias. What do you know about how welfare funds are
distributed in the state of Mississippi? So Jr. Encourages you to join us
in America Online, and join us in America Online, and there Sean chatting
on the laptop. He doesn't doesn't key. It's that it's that fucking it's
that classic Seawn Michaels where he's completely computer illiterate and the chat the only al
chat windows up. Not to mention too, by the way, that the
fucking laptop is massive. It must weigh like thirty pounds at les, say,
a stone tablet that you fucking write the scriptures on, and he's there
sitting water instead of typing because he doesn't know how to make it look like
he's not a fucking type. He does know how to type to begin with
Jesus so weird the way he used to plug that. I know I was
there, man, I was. I mean, dial up, modem baited
breath absolutely today. The day that I get through, I learned something about
wrestling. I did not know. God, what a fuck I have to
learn it back then, folks, Yep, yeah, very so. I
used to love. I used to love like like that, the way AOL
was all set up that you could you had to like, you know,
once you logged onto AOL, then you had then like you had to work
within their environment, their panel environment and stuff. And I was like,
I used to love that, used to love that, and chatting with people
like infant Message and ship. They were just uploading to like you know,
a folder, just pictures. They just upload pictures and you download them,
but they weren't displayed in like a you know, an artful way or anything.
And you had an Internet access but you didn't need it. You just
need the AOL experience. Yep. And the Netscape came along, and then
the whole world of the Internet was exacerbated. I didn't even realize the difference
between what AOL was showing me and what happened if I pressed the blue globe
at the top. Of course, God damn it, uh get floppy.
Because I subscribed to AOL. I paid for it every month, my household
did, and they still sent me a fucking floppy disc in the mail every
two weeks. Yeah, offering free try AOL. Would you like to try
AOL for free? Just think of the logo, Think of the A with
a circle. I know, and all that tells you about where you were.
That does the thrill of discovery. I had a collection of wrestlers wearing
belts, pictures I just I hunted. At one time. It was on
the greatest days. I found a website that some guy. It was way
off in the corner of the Internet. Nobody would it wouldn't have come up.
There's no Google search. There was, yeahoo, I think, But
it wasn't easy to find these websites. You just happened to see a link
on something you were going to reading wrestling news. And this guy had scanned
all these pictures and all these wrestlers I could never find pictures of with their
championship belts. Were there? Scan from the every magazines, loading at a
snail's pace to another ten percent, then another ten The idea, the idea
of video was such a oh foreign thing. Back up the truck of bandwidth.
It took a day and a half to work the thirty second cliff,
right, Jesus, Well, it's the days. It's Vader. Seven weeks
ago he attacked Yoko's fat ass leg in. Vader bombed it and they took
him out in a forklift. And then when he got to the right exactly,
he did another forklift at the restaurant. Bless his heart. We love
Ridley, please bless his heart. Going away to wait laws clinic. Bless
his heart. It needs it. So this is the blowoff, really,
I mean, he comes back around in the summer and stuff, but it's
just another false start for him, and it's pretty much over right he does.
Wait a minute, there is like I feel like, when was he
done? I feel like you made some weird he did appear in your house
appearance in like April of ninety seven or something like that. We definitely talked
about his last pay per view, I do I do have this. I
was in ninety eight. It was like way later than I had. Yeah,
it was like it was really inappropriate. How far away inappropriate? Yea,
it was see here, let me see it's Vader Versio Kuzuna. He
made his last Oh no, his last TV appearance was Survivor Series in ninety
six. Yeah, okay. He was with the company though until his very
last match was in November twentieth, ninety six, uh where Rock won of
out of Royal Young Rock there and then I went to Los Angeles's weight and
in her place in despite reporting or dropping reported one hundred pounds, he still
could not lose enough to satisfy the w officials. It was not meant to
be cleared. And then event yeah he was. He was there. He
didn't get released until ninety eight, right, that's right. He didn't get
released but didn't show up and until after Starbsar's ninety six on TV. It
was getting paid for that ship. Yeah. Yeah, they were really trying
to you know, oversea intense weight loss program. Believe in you, Bell,
I want you to write oh six hundred and sixty pounds. Oh my
god, Rodney Jesus, how he could I mean, listen as much as
you try moving around at six hundred and sixty pounds like he did. I
know, in a plane, right, are you kidding me? Flying to
like London? How does the plane even take off past? Think of the
breakfast? Oh, I mean, how can he get accommodated? He's on
the road. How can he possibly find enough food? I know, I'm
serio satisfied. Yeah, just always eating, always, just constant, constant
intake consumption. I mean, you've never seen anything like it. No,
three hundred turkey tails dipped in man oh fried. So he couldn't move?
Ah, exactly, that's the sound. That's the prevailing sound coming from his
hotel. And he's not asleep. This is him there fully weak. It's
just him like, yeah, sitting in the chair, like not even watching
TV, but like facing the TV. Think of how yeah, think of
how shocked your body was with pain when you first did a wrestling class.
Oh, I think how you felt in the morning after. Okay, Now
picturing him at his size feeling that way in the morning. Ah ah ah,
oh my god, ah ah, Sir did you say thirty number threes.
Yeah, yeah, it made those large tunes. Ah, you gotta
boost up the energy. Yoko had a swimming pool at his house, but
it was filled with hamburgers. Yeah, lunch time, we're like, no,
oh my god, fucking just downing food. So they start exchanging punches
to the big men. Here, Vader vers Yo Kazuna, but we're of
dog to Ada on the exchange. High low highlight, you know the deal,
cuffing shot punches those black gloves. So Vader sell suddenly like he got
caught in the throat. Cording comes up to protest and referee stopping them from
engaging in Jr. Says Mother Nature, smiling on us a little bit here
this week story about in that regard camera between Vader's legs and you can see
Yoka points stands. Jaya likens it to a demolition derby. You heard it
here first. Well, it's like a demolition derby the Joey Chickwick thrill Show
with eighteen wheelers. Yeah, fless you know, I'm gonna cringe till the
day he dies. And when he dies, I'm gonna love listening back on
this stuff. Man. I know he's just he's one of a kind of
things. He says, like trying to bring real references in is just too
much for me. Yep, it's so it's it's such a wild thing,
you know, trying to make it everything relatable, trying to make it right,
try to relate everything in wrestling. Does something that's like outside of wrestlings,
it seems like it's more like a legitimate reference, you know. Uh,
three point face off between the two Invader side steps and Jarris's false start
because he couldn't help make the football reference. Ader goes eight with the arms
and then he's growling in the other three point stance and then let me,
let me tell you, pussy's out. Yeah, I'm I'm not a fan
of him playing the cowardly hot at all, not at all. This stalling
thing is not side steps. And then this time they collide on the third
attempt in Vader bumps. He takes a big bump and that gets a pop
from the crowd. Okay, Yoko close lines Vader out of the ring.
Back in, Yoko hols off Ada back with punches and cuffing shots, and
Yoko single legs Vader and drops an elbow on his leg. Invader sells it
like he is done back in Ada, pops Yoko on the face with the
punch. I wrote that Vader goes to the field that starts picking the potatoes.
That right, Yeah, alright, I just like, like, I
don't understand why they booked Vader to sell so much to Yoko Zuna. Yeah,
they're cool, literally even though they're ramping up for summer slam, right,
I mean they He should have fucking ripped through Yoko Zuna in seconds.
Yeah, especially if you know Yoko is going away to lose weight. It's
like, right, kill him. I mean, that's that's the injury angle
here. As he splashes his legs right Yo again with a single leg and
another elbow, Yoko stands up. Imagine the stress on the ankles when that
man's start. Oh yes, indeed, oh my god, can you imagine,
like like, can you imagine just the the horror these bones are filed.
I know the nature of his ankles, and it's like these bones cannot
cannot handle this way. Big as he was, he had very small feet,
he did, indeed very small ankles. Ramifications of that in your mind,
Yep Yep Jr. Plus the hotline they don't show the number, but
he mentions it. I remember, of course w W is one undred,
but optionated nine hundred seventy three seven four w w F. That's right,
as Teddy Biassi apparently responding to leaving the WWF. What I wouldn't give to
hear that tape? Oh yeah, I thought he was gone. Why are
they doing that exit interview that? Yeah, I guess. I guess they
didn't have HR follow him out with security. Hey, release the tapes,
folks, Release every hot line you ever recorded. Yep, what are we
waiting for here? And tell me they don't exist? Come on, come
on, release them. Let me call a number recordings. Yeah, eight
of fires out of the corner, goes for a body slams. Oh here,
listen, this is great. Oh well, yeh. He goes for
body Sam. He fucks it up, and then j R gives us some
really really fabulous ww revisionist history that I can recall. He was there in
ninety three when Luger slammed Jokozuna decided to be the first kind of a big
deal at the time. Yeah, he was there. Now the Luger is
elsewhere he was if I remember it correctly, too, he was doing commentary
for Radio WWE at SummerSlam, so it was he was there and we mentioned
the Amed Johnson interview. We did a wrestlican on Patreon from Philadelphia Weekend.
Also talked to him about how uh how Yoko did or didn't cooperate when it
was time for him to go up to the slam tremendous. So Vader sells
the knee and goes up and down with a hard ord aggie slam from yokos
No he's yeah, he's bumping for him and everything. Yeah, like not
not cool. I mean, it's one of those weird things where it's like,
okay, it's it's one of those I guess if there was more of
a of a like I want to see I want to basically, if they're
gonna have Vader do this, I want to see him take a shit ton
of punishment. But nothing really happened to him, you know, like,
let Yokozuna be in control, but let Vader like no sell like basically not
be afraid of him. Let Vader Vader should just be like saying, okay,
give me what you got and take a bunch of punishment and then beat
the shit out of him, kill him exactly right, exactly not be afraid
of him, and posty foot around right and then also have to sell moves.
Yoko bart's Vader in the corner and throws him with the mow and drop
crazy that he got Vader up for simone and drug. That is true.
Yoko needs the three point stance just to stand up for Christ's sakes, I
know. Drives drags Vader to the corner for the Bunzei splash, but Corney
comes up, swings the racket it gets caught. He throws Corny into the
ring, does Yoko. Yoko then almost catches him swinging again, and Corney
drops the racket and extends his hand to shake Yokers in his hand. Of
course, a lot of history between those two. Yoko then shakes the hand
and Corny sells it as you know, a firm hand crushing grip and takes
a head button. Cornette bumps mister perfect asks why is there not a disqualification
there for touching a manager, which of course there never is, And then
he's gonna Bunzi Vader, and he's gonna bunze Jim Cornette, Jim Cornette and
yeah, Vader fucking like the wait and wait and wait and wait and wait,
and then he fucking then Cornet. Then then he pulls Cornett out of
the way. That's right. So that means one more time Yoko crashes and
burns in the corner. Yep, and that allows uh, that allows Vader
to go to the middle rope for the Vader Bomb and to splash him.
One two and three, eight minutes and fifty three seconds of Vader defeats Yokozuna.
You're up aware of dog two. What I thought to myself, you
know, what if what if Yokozuna through Vader in the corner he did that
that you know, reverse avalanche that he would do, and Vader no sells
it, kicks him in the gut and power bomb like he's ninety two.
That's amazing. That's like that Nitro game. We're like, yeah, Ray
Mysterio with power Bomb, Big show, no pri right, any video game
you were It's like, you know, they really don't have weight, you
know, things like that in most video games, like you can you know,
you can press slam honor the Giant no matter who you are, really
can you do no mercy for the most Yeah? Absolutely, it's funny because
you couldn't do it well, no, no mercy. No mercy was a
little bit different. No mercy, you would have no mercy. You would
have moments where it would uh what do you call it? You couldn't do
certain moves right because if if, if it was a super heavyweight, they
would have like you do the big body slam or the back suplex. But
there were some moves definitely, any any special, any finishing move you could
do on them. So if you had like a crazy ass you know,
uh you know, like the like the Goldberg press slam into power slam that
he would do, you could do it to anybody, no matter how small
you were if it was your special right. Okay, yeah, I think
I think with Nitro it was like immediately you just press two buttons and just
power mount them. Fine, there was no like heard grapple or anything,
and up he would go like a feather and get right back up. But
there it is. Vader hits the thorn, rawls out. They play a
King of the Ring ad with Lawler eating a turkey leg. Yeah, feeding
the dark chicken in heaven. Wonderful. I'm so excited for that. And
then the King Tutt and Elvis and he's just meeting all these people in heaven.
It's it's really stupid. Jr. In Perfect in the superstars position as
far as worth the announced tables positioned, they plug a King of the Ring
Shawn Michael's day boy Smith, but the Godwins and Guns as well as Warrior
already like so much had already fucking been booked. No, yeah, they
had like no time. I guess it's crazy. A lovely set of brackets
there for the King of the Ring tournament shown to us, Yes, and
men to the Warrior gold Dust. At double count out, we're both eliminated
from the tournament. Vader advancing with the bye as the gold casket is rolled
out to ringside for the final match of the evening. And it's correct.
I remember kind of being asked to accept this as a main event gold Dust
for a Undertaker, you know, a main event of a this Tuesday night
show. It's kind of a kind of tough. Yeah, I agree.
Perfect said this would make Goldust the first to beat Taker in a casket match
if he does it time, which is completely herey, I have that that
clips well here. Also, gold Dust win this match, he'll make history,
he Undertaker, and then Jo kind of corrects him, but he didn't
he kind of yeah, not exactly. I remember it was something like,
well the first person, he like adds like a qualification, and then raw
last night, I'm it cuts off gold Dust trying to flee, and then
spine Buss Vader Owen hits him in the back of the cast and we all
know what goes from there. Yes, takes out with him. Yep,
does toy big time. They show him like castor guy backstage looking to kill
him, and I heard him say, does doy actually in the thing he
does says something like Dusty, He certainly does. He does immediately, So
it's the dong lights go out and bearers it is a doll. I believe
gold has felt up the Undertaker's dog, correct takers in the ring and uh
take her going for the Icy title here. Unbelievable, A weird, weird
thought, really really bizarre. Did he ever win that at all? The
Icy title? Yeah? Oh I don't think so, not even not even
as American dead ass that I can remember, because I know he won.
Didn't he won the hardcore title at one point. Oh yeah, that's right,
he did. Now Now this is, by the way, Goldust is
in his book. At this time, he was, you know, getting
more and more addicted to old has a book, Dustin has a book Crossroads.
If you can believe that that's not that's that's not okay. At the
time though, I was becoming more and more addicted to vice it in he
writes, pills helped with my stammin up. But the more I took,
the more real pain I felt in my body, which was backward. So
with that backdrop, here we go. It's Undertaker Verse gold Dust final contest.
Here Undertaker floor's gold Dust. As the bell sounds and Marlene is trying
to keep her top up with a cigar she's got and Bruce Pritchard had a
memory of of cigars and how they played into the weekend. This isn't a
story so much about Tuesday but Sunday night, but his relative to the signature
cigar of one Marline. Oh god, the funny assac Because during the the
lights are out and gold Dust is out working with the Undertaker, and I'm
at ringside now talking with Vince trying to say, okay, you know,
well shows pretty well, fuck, We're gonna do this we're gonna do that.
Morlene's gimmick was to smoke a cigar, right okay, And she's at
ringside, she's smoking the cigar, and there's this one motherfucker right behind us,
an old guy looked like he is about sixty five seventy years old.
And all he did was he kept he kept tapping me on the shoulder and
tapping Vins on the shoulder, going, ah, there's no smoking indoors.
She's gonna have to put that out. There's no smoking in here, sir,
sir, Hey, can you guys do something? There's no smoking in
here, and just irritated the living fuck out of us, and finally we
had security throw them out. But no, it was it was just all
of ship's breaking down around you. And I met a ringside in the dark
trying to talk to Vince, and this old motherfucker is telling me that Marlana
can't smoke indoors. Just again, one of those moments vividly stays in your
head. I don't understand what their fucking problem is. Why are they such
babies like, well, you can't smoke indoors? Right now, I know
I'm fine with him, the guy, I'm I'm I'm, I don't understand
these fucking idiot wrestling promoters and these these these these these like what the fuck
is wrong with them? Like the guy can say whatevery fucking wants, but
it was They're already in theer so much stress. The last thing they need
is someone nitpicking the So you're gonna kick him out because he's because he's fucking
exercising his freedom of speech. So what I was taught they did in the
attitude era, h So take her golden slides in after taking the way.
He's such an idiot, like he's any any and and the fact that he
fucking is is basically defending his actions, like like you you complaining about a
guy who's complaining about a fucking cigar, who gives a fuck when it rains,
it pours, right, Yeah, well literally so Carolina. So yeah,
he stomps take her on the way and whip Taker throws him back and
corner to corner. Goldis hits the buckling and falls whip in a back elbow
by Taker. Take tries to whip Goldis over to the casket. Goldest panics
and stops on a dime. You know what I love and I I like,
this is one the probably the funniest thing to me that whenever Undertaker would
have a casket match, at least during this period, probably up until I'd
say, like ninety eight ninety nine, no matter whose opponent is, they
are horrified of the cast. It's like every single person Taker ever wrestled in
the casket comes back just fine, right, Like I know, it's like,
what do you eat if you go in the castle, You're gonna die,
Like Kamala was horrified, Yokozuna was horrified, Kama was horrified, Goldless
is horrified. Mabel. Everyone's horrified of the fucking casket. Like, dude,
it's just a It's like it's nothing. They probably should have saved it
for matches, honestly, with guys that were leaving town. Right, I
never saw him again, and then there's a reason to fear it. Whatever
happened to that guy, right, I mean, the casting match sucks anyway
it does sucks. It's like it's such a stupid match, like stupid.
I always hated him always, and he pulled off good ones. I'm not
saying they were bad matches, but it was always such an unnecessary stipulation.
Yeah, I mean it's like, it's such a fucking Deshaun's back, Like,
what the fuck? Oh yeah, exactly, exactly a dum fucking you
got a camera in there, come on, right, so annoying. So
you know, Taker as all these like bar stories about casket matches and one
guy get work and we got it from the wrong place. Yeah, oh
right, great story, Mark, So story about when you fucking had to
buy a casket for a fucking wrestling that up and next yeah you did the
fake match. So Taker tries to whip gold Us over into the casket.
Goldest panic stops in the dime. Then golds is thrown over the ropes on
to the top of the casket and rolls off of it in panic, even
though it's a gold casket just for him, right, it's his own casket.
Taker slams gold Us his head in the blue steps, great rattling noise
there. Taker then slaps gold Us head in a casket and back into the
ring, big centering slam, but the Undertaker and hits a lake drop.
Jare says, there is absolutely nothing like the w w F Live that is
true. I guess most things are like that. Actually, flambs the rope
and lands at a old school after walking the rope. No, that would
be a new school at this point. New school, for sure, Yeah,
because we'd be in a high school. Middle maybe now maybe we're in
middle school. Actually might be in middle school at this point, because high
school would definitely be in attitude era. An old school obviously is any time
after he came back from two thousand. So take her goose the middle middle
school cornerback elbow, and Golden slams taker. But he sits right up.
Jared says, the dead man is walking, so to speak. Weapon to
drop down, Goldless whifts on an upper cut. His taker lift has to
lift his head. Uh. Still, Goldless is on the attack, and
he goes to tombstone the undertaker. Yeah, and he does it, doesn't
he? Yes, yeah, he does. What the fuck is it?
They boo? It's a really soft landing. I mean, you can't.
It's huge. It's very hard to I mean, I don't know how the
fuck you can do it. I don't know how right, especially gold dust
is size. Take her then sits up. Goldless days on him. Goldless
culture the casket to open the casket. It's in full effect. He rolls
take her in the casket cam I should say it's in full effect. He
rolls, take her inside and take her fights it a bit, and he
gets out of there and take her. Then with the whip and a boot
drops gold dust. He back drops him out of the ring. Gold Dust
then slams the Undertaker into the ring steps and chokes him with that cable wire
from the cameras there. That's all we need to do, the cabling.
The cable back in. Gold Dust is all over him. Taker is flailing,
but uh but does fight back. I remember thinking he was odd seeing
Undertaker sells so much for gold Dust. Yeah, that is kind of weird.
Maybe he's doing it for a Texas bud. I kind of feel like
this is the first, like this is the first program where Taker sold for
someone. We're like, okay, now he sells like every other wrestler.
He may sit up, but like, not until ninety six, Undertaker like
really selling for un under sized heels. There was so one thing I remember
in ninety six that really changed how I saw the Undertaker. There were two
things that happened, and they both happened wrestlingly. At twelve okay, number
one, Undertaker went for a crossbody yeah, and I'm like, what,
yep, that's not a news repertoire. What the fuck is going on here?
And then the other thing that he did that I can't recall him doing
any other time before this, before Wrestling You twelve, he went for pinfall
attempts, right, and in the past the only time he would go for
a pin is after the tombstone. Wow, that's an interesting one. Yeah,
yeah, I don't know that. Yeah, yeah, no, it
could it could be that he did that and I didn't recognize it. But
I do remember for the first time watching WrestleMania twelve and being like, whoa
wait a minute, what the fuck is he doing? It's a concern he's
not supposed to be doing that kind of stuff, Like he's supposed to just
pin the guy after he hiss the tombstone. Amazing. Other guys can try
to go for pins on him, but he can't go for pins on anybody
else. Whip is reversed, Galdas scraps sleeper Taker begins going out, and
he finally does go out, So the people should have been trying to put
Undertaker to sleep with the sleep goal all this time. It's funny and it's
funny. Uh. People are trying to put him asleep, and in doing
so, he's putting me to sleep. So he rolls take her to the
casket. He's inside the casket now. He goes to shut it and take
her. Sticks his arm out with the purple gloves to prevent losing. By
the way, Jr. Says that the uh uh Undertaker has the highest threshold
of pain. Right, there's no nerve endings for pain from what I understand,
I guess yes. So he throws some shots from the casket, dose
dose do and Goldis then lays on top of it and take Us pushes it
over and gold Us bumps to the floor. Yep, and the fucking casket
breaks. So it is totally loose. God, it's so annoying. It
can't be. There's no latch to it anymore. It's just hovering on top
of it. Taker gets out loads and loads of gold dust, and Goldis
whips him and take her scores with the flying clothes line off the ropes and
then another clothes line. Both spell out of the ring. Taker grabs one
of those blue chairs, gold Us kicks him, kicks it back in his
face and a Clothesline cuts him down, perfectly, surprised at the the moxy
being chilled by gold dust here indeed, and then JR. Uh Well,
Jr. Comments wants to remind us of two things about gold dust that kind
of go uh go hand in hand with what perfect said there. Gold uses
show it tremendous toughness. You said he showed us on many occasions. How
tough he is. One thing we always remember about gold Left, unfortunately,
perhaps is his bizarreness, I would agree. Unfortunately, unfortunately we remember his
bizarreness. Gold Us with the whipon of power slam In Jr. Doesn't recall
Taker being slammed that many times as he's seeing here tonight. Goldisen climbs to
the leaping clothes line, goes for the cover, but nothing there. Goldas
slaps his own three anyway, Marlene is sufferable way idiot himself, and Taker
tosses him off the top rope. Yeah, and of the ringing signals for
the tombstone. He lifts him up and he tombstone's gold dust right near the
ropes. It calls with the casket to be opened. It is and there's
mankind Yep, he's in the casket, and he comes casket with the mandible
claw and the gullet of the Undertaker, and he forces to take her down
into the casket himself. Take of course, I remember when they would when
they when they would do packages for future Mankind Undertaker matches, they would they
would use that clip a lot where he has them on the but they'd speed
it up and they would wow. They would do like a choppy strobe effect
with it and to make it look really creepy. I used to love that.
Yeah, that's right, I remember what you're talking about. Yeah,
so yeah, he puts take her out with the mandible claw, loads him
into the casket and closes the lid, and the bell sounds. It's twelve
minutes thirty six seconds. Gold Dust defeats the Undertaker. I guess he made
a history casket match to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Music plays. Mankind locks
the casket even though we can tell it is totally loose on top up and
can be easily pushed off fully on top, and then he just like lays
on the on the casket, kind of realizing perhaps the visual is ridiculous,
flashing his uh taped up fingers and squealing, oh God. And there's smoke
now coming out of the casket for some reason. Smoke, right, because
that's that's real, that happens. This is what is mankind done? And
follows that's funny, that's kind of what we all ask. That's a very
that's a very meta rhetorical question. What has mankind done? And through the
entranceway that they had go Goldust Marlena and Mankind and Bearer's cornered and Goldust music
comes down, the smoke still going. Finally, pair Paul Beart lifts the
casket lid to find what's happened to the Undertaker, and you better believe it's
empty. He's gone, of course, because he's supernatural. There don't go
off. We see Brisco and let out there out there and Brisco looking round
like huh, where'd he go? And he kid even laughs, a kid
just starts crossing out, laughing, cheesy fucking joke, like come on,
like, who thought this was a good idea? Lights go out, there's
a pop power power went out again, I guess. And she doesn't know
what has happened, my god, but thank you very much. As we
see flashbulbs go off as people try to look at the Undertaker, and just
as he said, Boss, we're in the dark again. Indeed, beware
of dog two. That concludes our coverage here this week. Let's see what
we got. What is it going to be? As we keep rolling at
old school here in through LFX. Could be anything, folks, could be
anything, could be anything. We've got a lot of show. Ner.
