Episode 10 - The Old Ones.... and some necrons, and C'tan, also a little Eldar and Orks.

[SPEAKER_05]: So it's been eight episodes and we kind of finished off when I kind of we did finish off what I think the most linear story of Forty K. The horror services.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the basis story.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is the creation story of Forty K. And I believe that a hundred percent that's how I get into the game.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I read the history of the horror's heresy.
[SPEAKER_02]: That is the basis of the game.
[SPEAKER_02]: And now
[SPEAKER_02]: It's about to go freestyle.
[SPEAKER_05]: Now we can get free styles.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is the part I think Brian and more have been more excited to get to.
[SPEAKER_05]: We had to tell the original story because we didn't have to we didn't want to fill every podcast with and spoiler alert.
[SPEAKER_05]: So now we get to actually branch out and decide to go kind of the most extreme.
[SPEAKER_05]: We went from what I would call the most heavily canon, which is the horse heresy, every book written for thirty years.
[SPEAKER_05]: Had to.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is all.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is all.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, ninety nine percent.
[SPEAKER_05]: to now what I would the terminal is esoteric lore the old ones where we're going to talk about something where I mean I'm not even sure what's canon that's the one is it's so out of the blue and a lot of this what we're going to have happened now at dollar listeners is we're going to use stuff that's in the books that's in mostly codex's for for old ones out not where it's small reference
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not just a codex old ones because it doesn't exist.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a novel about the old ones.
[SPEAKER_02]: The old ones are only referenced in other people's stories.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are the back characters in other people's storylines.
[SPEAKER_02]: They've been referenced in a decent amount of Necron novels.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Necron is the easy one.
[SPEAKER_02]: Necron, Necron codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldar.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Orcs, of course.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: And, but they, they're never the main character.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're, they these guys that did some stuff in the in the old times.
[SPEAKER_02]: And when we say old times, this is sixty five million years ago.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think this would be a lot more fun.
[SPEAKER_05]: What we were doing before was kind of almost telling you guys a story that was written now where like rereading you Tolkien and now we're getting to know John and I are going to argue.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, are you a lot around.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's also there's been a lot of
[SPEAKER_02]: What now could be considered fan fiction, because there's a lot of people that used to win that job.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's what it's about to get to is we are don't worry.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to be touching on certain invading species from from certain outside of galaxies that may have certain resemblance to certain serious fans, which is pure fan fiction, but
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, the truth is, I also worked up a fan fiction.
[SPEAKER_05]: We should remember we're not talking about fact here.
[SPEAKER_05]: So if enough fans believe it, almost like a thinker belt type scenario here, you know, or this could become canon.
[SPEAKER_05]: So I tell everyone this, it's going to be a bit of fun.
[SPEAKER_05]: Also, I do, I wrote a little spoiler alert to myself, and I might have read this.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is going to be a discussion about the origins of the universe, according to about half a dozen people who live in Nottingham, England.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's who wrote this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is also the people that don't work there anymore.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's also, also, most of them don't work there anymore, and some of them are dead.
[SPEAKER_05]: But, downside of a four-year-old game, some of the original writers weren't died.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's from my comments and go, the biggest question where we're immediately going to argue about.
[SPEAKER_05]: Who the hell are they?
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's jump into this.
[SPEAKER_05]: Who are the old men?
[SPEAKER_05]: So they are described in the books that I've read as lizard men, which I immediately both thanked and hated GW for reinforcing my history channel, Ancient Aliens show.
[SPEAKER_05]: Just all the lizard people.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's all the lizard people.
[SPEAKER_05]: Here we go.
[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest thing on this is that you have to go in the myth of where the fantasy, give me the old, all you old fantasy players, if there's anybody left out there,
[SPEAKER_05]: is a ton of your left and all bitch constantly about Sigma.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're welcome.
[SPEAKER_02]: Give me my square base is back.
[SPEAKER_02]: Move a trace of life.
[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the big things is that
[SPEAKER_02]: They, in that lower, they supposedly created the slant, the lizardman, the lizardman leaders, the slant were the leaders, the spiritual and magic leaders of the lizardman in their own image.
[SPEAKER_02]: So were the old ones, lizardmen?
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, maybe I think it's the most can inversion of them is them being lizardmen.
[SPEAKER_02]: But again, I didn't think there would Lizardman.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're the slander.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because you look at the slander and the slander wildly different than Lizardman.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think they're more reptilian.
[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe than then Lizardman is more of somewhat reptilian.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, one important piece here is they were not gods.
[SPEAKER_05]: And we're going to get to that in a second because it does come up in somebody they do about.

[SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk about what the old ones could do.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then everyone can make their decision on whether they're gods.
[SPEAKER_02]: First off, they created life out of nothing.
[SPEAKER_01]: They do when they don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the part that I was going to get to this.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is what your engineers, this is, but this is work.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's annoying.
[SPEAKER_05]: If you read some of the codexes, they shepherded life.
[SPEAKER_05]: He doing cardings, but other ones like the joke hero, I don't know, maybe they found one orangutan in his other.
[SPEAKER_05]: Just mean, it's, yeah, it is.

[SPEAKER_01]: So the thing is, why this is so much fun.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's no chaos, gods, there's just, and the old ones are tapping into the warp to do whatever they want.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it is a calm, serene pond.
[SPEAKER_02]: No waves whatsoever.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they are literally doing
[SPEAKER_02]: They're Bob Rossing at their painting.
[SPEAKER_02]: I happy happy new species on it.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna make a little happy tree over here.
[SPEAKER_05]: Everyone's, we're gonna build out the world.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think, but let's just focus on what they were.
[SPEAKER_05]: And so what they were was possibly reptilian.
[SPEAKER_05]: The first sentient beings in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, the first successful sentient beings in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: The first sort of civilization, because you have
[SPEAKER_02]: different, I mean, yeah, dinosaurs.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, predates to get that.
[SPEAKER_05]: So just for everyone's reference, we're done, sixty five million years because I have a child, so I can lie to them.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's one of these things.
[SPEAKER_05]: Dinosaur's date to two hundred and fifty million years.
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're not going to be like, hey, vang, don't know.
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're, we don't know how long.
[SPEAKER_02]: Catan.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Catan, whatever you say, tans in a second.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they are immortal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, in the old ones are,
[SPEAKER_02]: where they immortal did, they could die of course.
[SPEAKER_05]: So let's actually just, you know, let's just get in trouble.
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's just make decisions here.
[SPEAKER_05]: So one of the things I wrote down was where the old ones immortal.
[SPEAKER_02]: They live long enough for people thought they were immortal because they lived longer than anybody.
[SPEAKER_05]: No, but that's my thought.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they're immortal because it actually better words perpetuals.
[SPEAKER_05]: So we discussed perpetuals before.
[SPEAKER_05]: They can definitely not perpetuals.
[SPEAKER_02]: You shoot them in the head.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're super dead.
[SPEAKER_05]: They go away.
[SPEAKER_05]: So the question is were they immortal or were they just so long lived that they were effectively immortal and immune to most problems?
[SPEAKER_02]: because I think they conquered most of the stuff with their magic slash biology technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because they had, they were like elves in, to be honest with you, elves in mythology.
[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't have high tech spaceships.
[SPEAKER_05]: with that, but they had mixed technology and they weren't immortal because even talking else eventually did die, but it was foul.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to die to the cold.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not getting cancer.
[SPEAKER_02]: They cure that immediately.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they also had a weird, because you were coming to the war earlier, I kind of find a rough thing, because someone does to get, I'm going to do it in order.
[SPEAKER_05]: So we can't, so they're not immortal, but they're, they can live forever.
[SPEAKER_05]: But they're, they're great trick was the warp.
[SPEAKER_05]: They were the, they were,
[SPEAKER_05]: from historic history, the first creatures to be able to manipulate the work.
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, they were the first people to know that the work existed, period.
[SPEAKER_05]: But it's not, it's not the work of today or the forty of four years.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just a endless power.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's literally a, it's a lake of, it is a sea of power.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just a, how about this?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going even farther.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's an ocean of power upgraded every time.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the thing is, is that again, it's serene.
[SPEAKER_02]: There isn't the eddies.
[SPEAKER_02]: And isn't this turbulent storm that the warp is now full of hazards and everything.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is nothing.
[SPEAKER_02]: There is, but there's nothing to put it there yet.
[SPEAKER_05]: Because it has been fed yet.
[SPEAKER_05]: Anyway, to this state, it's sixty-five million years.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to use the Earth, we are in the Cretaceous period, where we have T-rexes, or trying to eat, I'm going to make my kid, if he really listens to me, so happy.
[SPEAKER_05]: We have a T-rex, trying to, you know, munch on.
[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, sir.
[SPEAKER_05]: For sure.
[SPEAKER_05]: It was definitely not going to sort of sort of pelt up, and we can go hard here if you want.
[SPEAKER_05]: All the, all the, all the inverse of hydro sorors, that's what's ruling the Earth right now.
[SPEAKER_05]: And throughout the galaxy, it's kind of the theme of the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: The Eldar are probably at this stage eight,
[SPEAKER_05]: fledgling race at sixty five million years.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're coming up slowly because they were more brought up during the war haven.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a lot of there also again where they completely made by the old ones or not.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to get there but I'm saying like the war's not hasn't been fed with at all.
[SPEAKER_05]: Any of the there's no lost there's no murder.
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, sure animals eat each other, but it's not the same as it's not a psychological imprint.
[SPEAKER_05]: Exactly, because the warps, not like the corn is not fed by a fish.
[SPEAKER_05]: He's fed by, I want to kill that fish.
[SPEAKER_05]: It is blood loss, effectively.
[SPEAKER_05]: So the warp is safe.
[SPEAKER_05]: However, the interesting about that is the old ones
[SPEAKER_05]: Seen Don doesn't the warp was not a great thing because they built the webway gates to get around it.
[SPEAKER_02]: True.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they, I think they wanted to not corrupt.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they know there's a serene ocean and they want to get around it without pollute because they're also, where they literally go friendly and say, yeah, there we go.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're vegans.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, damn it.
[SPEAKER_05]: No wonder they don't.
[SPEAKER_05]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's okay.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_05]: Iron deficiency.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's a big thing on this because they created, well, let's talk about the things that the old ones did.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: One, their biggest websites creating a several of the Forty-K species.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: They created the Webway Gates, which are a safe and fast means to travel the entire galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: which is between the warp and real space.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's a weird.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the half or two.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do the stranger things.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: The upside down.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the space between it.
[SPEAKER_05]: But then at the same time, they also did want to uplift civilization.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to warn them in a little bit that they decided to pseudo uplift and then bail on.
[SPEAKER_05]: But they did.
[SPEAKER_05]: They were looking around for civilizations.
[SPEAKER_05]: They were looking for who was good and who was bad.
[SPEAKER_05]: They kind of helped them up and others not.
[SPEAKER_05]: One of the obviously mankind was in there, but they're pretty fledgling.
[SPEAKER_05]: They saw a potential there.
[SPEAKER_05]: And some of the books kind of hint that they may have helped with some of the movements evolutionarily for mankind.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the big ones all, let's just go to the two, the two banks of our works.
[SPEAKER_05]: Orcs were later.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's fantastic.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's what we just held up.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm saying, but like the, as far as like, yeah, once they did period canon, this isn't.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: All right.
[SPEAKER_05]: Eldar and Orcs are them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldar and Orcs and we don't know if did the engineer and existing race or do they create a race?
[SPEAKER_05]: This is the question mark.
[SPEAKER_02]: And to be honest with you, if I was going to go to my Vegas betting odds, I think they engineered elder and I think they made quarks.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I believe.
[SPEAKER_02]: Orcs are a genetic, like, just you made.
[SPEAKER_05]: There's something weird about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because orcs, which we're going to do, orcs are spores.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, orcs are like, we're going to do minimum three episodes and orcs.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm saying the minimum.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that's an engineered race.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel it.
[SPEAKER_02]: They made that race.
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they uplift it.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think I would.
[SPEAKER_05]: I were uplifted.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think mankind, they're probably starting up left with four certain things went wrong during a two-and-a-short while here.
[SPEAKER_05]: Now, let's go to things.
[SPEAKER_05]: They didn't do well.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to the first one.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to talk about is Necrons.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the necront here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, the specific with them now, because they're still in the necront here.
[SPEAKER_05]: This place necront here.
[SPEAKER_05]: So while the old ones are doing this, as we've said, you know, the uplift of the works, mankind, there are races all over the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's talk about the necront here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're a dominant race at the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Necrontere were from a, and a lot of people that really are like, why who cares that their homeworld was bombarded with radiation?
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is why you have to care because the Necrontere homeworld was so radiated that it actually changed the core DNA of the Necrontere, and they were all
[SPEAKER_02]: genetically predisposed to die from effectively weird radiation sickness.
[SPEAKER_05]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_05]: And the challenge that Necront here is one thing is, you know, we talked about travel.
[SPEAKER_05]: And then we talked about my, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've traveled a lot if you look at the Norpodcast as we book like logistics.
[SPEAKER_05]: The Necront here were this
[SPEAKER_05]: pretty aggressive warring race that was conquering the stars, but they had to do them piece by piece because they had no access to the warp.
[SPEAKER_05]: They were also access to the web way.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were literally flying at faster than they traveled, but just
[SPEAKER_05]: That's still not.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were doing, they were crazy people about that though.
[SPEAKER_02]: They would send generations to go war with somebody.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you're like, OK, your grandchildren, grandchildren will be fighting this war.
[SPEAKER_02]: And people were like,
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: So they're expanding.
[SPEAKER_05]: And this is work, I have like, this is where I like the old ones a lot.
[SPEAKER_05]: The old ones are sitting there in some ways running a galaxy, but not really running a galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're the biggest player in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: They got the most power in the galaxy, but the challenge the old ones have is they're not that numerous.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're not a, they're also completely unprepared because I think that they're, while the old ones did a lot of great things, I think the old ones,
[SPEAKER_02]: eventually died to their own vanity.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and then this goes into with probably the neck runs and that crown's already.
[SPEAKER_05]: reproducing race.
[SPEAKER_05]: Who are at the time?
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, quite numerous.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they start just creating problems for the old ones.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're creating issues.
[SPEAKER_02]: And finally, they're also going back to the Necrontiere because this makes a big deal.
[SPEAKER_05]: They should look with Necrontiere because it doesn't make sense.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, they don't know what I'm saying, but it makes a big difference in how this next negotiation works out because every single people, I just got into argument this morning about this.
[SPEAKER_02]: J.o.
[SPEAKER_02]: pants are still wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the Negrant here, effectively genocided everyone they met.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and literally they showed somebody up and went, we could talk to them or we could just take every looks like it's mine now.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, be a real bummer if everyone died.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, weird.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So like every single interaction they've had was a just slaughter fest.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the old ones are, they're not a mission, but it feels like they have a network of, we know kind of everything that's going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they know that this is going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also, again, have instantaneous travel throughout the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a, also, this is a web way gate at peak efficiency.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, this is not for your first millennia.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look at this.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is not the cost of the point A and I arrive in point B a quarter second later.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were instantly everywhere.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they were going everywhere.
[SPEAKER_02]: They kind of knew everything based on the fact that they could cheat and be anywhere they wanted to be.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they knew that the Necrontier, while a advanced race, by the way, their technology is not so this way.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I mean, in what my question is, and I've done my research, but I defaulted you on this one because you've been not my coverage that I have.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't see anywhere where the old ones uplift the Necront here.
[SPEAKER_05]: No, it looks like Necront did it all in their own.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all in their own.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also have, if you give an accurate to your credit, they have technology that still has not been matched.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's just gosh, they're the teleportation technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a ton of things the Necrons have right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: The reanimation.
[SPEAKER_02]: Every they have we better nano technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have better stuff than
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a gift of controlled scarabs were a big hit for a while.
[SPEAKER_02]: They would have done a better job than the imperial does with just raising an entire civilization out of nothing.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: But they were poisoned.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're genetically poised.
[SPEAKER_05]: And this is this is kind of where the birds that's going to be about the old ones ever uplifting them is the necrontier do have this problem.
[SPEAKER_05]: They actually have a very short lifespan compared to anything else in the galaxy because they basically poison the from birth.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I horrible death.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just that their DNA literally says you are radiation poisoned at birth.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, figure it out.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they had tech.
[SPEAKER_02]: They had wild tech.
[SPEAKER_02]: But also their civilization is really based on or tech though.
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's another thing that they everything in their civilization is based on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I need to get from point A to point B to kill something.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if your technology doesn't advance that, we kind of don't care about that.
[SPEAKER_05]: The Necron tier reach a point where they keep bouncing into the old ones.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they notice an interesting thing about the old ones.
[SPEAKER_05]: They seem to be immortal to them.
[SPEAKER_05]: They're never sick.
[SPEAKER_05]: Every interaction that look healthy, they look happy, they're doing it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's the same ones.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, effectively, the individual ones.
[SPEAKER_02]: So there's not that many to be honest with you.
[SPEAKER_02]: It never seems like they're very popular at all.
[SPEAKER_05]: No, I think it's actually one of the big problems that the old one's had is for whatever reason they did not populate and it will backfire.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the like the neck on tear literally hold them as like there's a trio of old ones because we meet the same guy for generations and
[SPEAKER_02]: They clearly probably have the answer.
[SPEAKER_02]: And to be perfectly honest, to be fair, they do.
[SPEAKER_05]: They know that the old ones could one hundred percent of hell.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the problem is, is they also tell them that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: And the reason why the fun little bit of the ret kind here, that GW is done around NACRONS, is all of the stuff that we know about the interaction between the CTAN and the NACRON tier, comes in their interaction with a very specific CTAN.

[SPEAKER_05]: So the C-Tand and the Necront here make a really good alliance because they both have a similar problem.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they can't fight through the warp.
[SPEAKER_05]: So what are we going to do together?

[SPEAKER_05]: The C-TAN offer up the Necrontere.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's actually pretty cool because they should effectively build factories where you walk into the factory for like, oh, upliftment day, which this has been a numerous sci-fi movies and video games.
[SPEAKER_05]: So you guys are all aware of this, but I'm going into upliftment day, and then
[SPEAKER_05]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna be upgraded.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, sure.
[SPEAKER_02]: You will live forever.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: And so what happens now is the necrons become an immortal and actually in some almost undying force because these robots, I think, can actually do a breads of it reanimate.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they have effectively, which is every sci-fi uses, we can't explain something.
[SPEAKER_02]: How does it work?
[SPEAKER_02]: Nanotechnology.
[SPEAKER_05]: Nanotechnology.
[SPEAKER_05]: Nothing better than a good sci-fi nanotechnology.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they
[SPEAKER_02]: And the big thing about this is, well, go into the gamer version.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Necrons used to just disappear because they have teleportation technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not only they have the nanotechnology, but they just re-animate.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you kill a Necron,
[SPEAKER_02]: their nanotechnology just rebuilds in that ground as long as there's even a little piece of them left we can make more neckline which will go in the other minute because they went we'll just make it so there's not anybody left so but they have the ability to basically if there's a finger of a neckline left or rebuild the whole thing
[SPEAKER_02]: So, and they can also teleport it back to the factory.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they effectively have the emergency eject button on all of their every single warrior, every single anything.
[SPEAKER_02]: Their big platforms, everything they have, if it gets beat up enough, it automatically teleports back.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this doesn't matter.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is how they're so wildy advanced.
[SPEAKER_02]: the distance doesn't matter.
[SPEAKER_02]: They will instantly go back to a factory to be rebuilt.
[SPEAKER_05]: And so what's crazy about this is it means that even though the neck rent here, they are numerous don't get me wrong, but they technically have to build a single more unit because then they've already built is there forever.
[SPEAKER_05]: The Necrons now are teamed up with Lucy Tan and they explode out of their part of the galaxy into the old ones.
[SPEAKER_05]: And as we discussed earlier, the old ones are not that numerous.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not only in the numbers, I think it's too part.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry to jump all over them.
[SPEAKER_02]: But like, it's, I feel like not only, again, we already talked about the effect the old ones are very few.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're probably this is tiny.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, really tiny about me.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are super powerful individual entities, but very few of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, I think that they really didn't see this level of FU going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is such a wild leap in from a race that it's a creator race.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is a, I am willing to literally sell my soul to the devil.
[SPEAKER_02]: to make this happen, and I feel that the old ones just didn't get that this was an option.
[SPEAKER_05]: The old ones I think were a little bit overconfident, and how the galaxy functioned and working.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's vanity, and like I said earlier, I think that they're own vanity, and then down for because I feel that they
[SPEAKER_02]: didn't think they've already won every time.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's not that they won.
[SPEAKER_02]: It would be different if they just were victorious.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a problem.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_02]: They've never fought a battle where they didn't laughably win.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, just, okay, yeah, this.
[SPEAKER_02]: And since the beginning of time though, so if you're literally millions of years in and every time you've been in a fight, you flick jab somebody and they fell unconscious.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're probably not ready for a twelve round knockout brawl as they were not ready.
[SPEAKER_05]: So not only do the necrons, just the necrons, now it isn't necrons, just start wiping out sections of the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: They even eventually breach the webway because the thing with the necrons is they can't access the warp, but the webways not the warp.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's also they figure it out because it is technically technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so because it is a construct.
[SPEAKER_05]: And now that old ones are, as we said earlier, they are immortal.
[SPEAKER_05]: They are not perpetual.
[SPEAKER_05]: So they begin dying.
[SPEAKER_05]: And this one proves this launches in to maybe one of the most important parts of Forty K.
[SPEAKER_05]: which is what they do.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's two races.
[SPEAKER_05]: One I care more about the other, but I actually do care most of them.

[SPEAKER_02]: They only do psychics to defeat the enemy that doesn't have psychic defense.

[SPEAKER_02]: race that is literally made to defeat a non-psychic race.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, hey, we don't have the technology to take care of them shooting us.

[SPEAKER_05]: And the Eldar are just sort of an uplifted race.

[SPEAKER_05]: The C-Tan and the Necrons begin constructing these specialized pots because they realize they can win this war as long as there is no warp.

[SPEAKER_05]: But then they would capture even dominate.
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, and then they would turn them into a living warping.
[SPEAKER_05]: But the stories I like about this are cool.
[SPEAKER_05]: The person who's the slave has no idea.
[SPEAKER_05]: There's still going to work or doing whatever they're doing, wander on.
[SPEAKER_05]: And then one day they used to explode and a bunch of other enslavers pop out of them.
[SPEAKER_05]: and start doubting the minds of everything else.
[SPEAKER_05]: So these things are actually kind of a holder stuff because they're that's where it would be holder.
[SPEAKER_05]: The body is a body of more to be holder and it's a holder body, but it's a mine.

[SPEAKER_02]: The enslavers are just there to eff things up.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's no, they're not trying to ignore that.

[SPEAKER_02]: And oh yeah, remember our weakness?
[SPEAKER_02]: that they have our weakness.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they're coming for us.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so the necrons go, we could fight the elder and the orcs and lose horribly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, or in the sound of the kid goes, or we could just hibernate.
[SPEAKER_02]: and literally bury ourselves and they do a great job of this because they have effectively stealth technology where they can mask their presence of being there.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they literally dig into the core of worlds and project
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what you want to say.
[SPEAKER_02]: They basically make a non-detection to themselves.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they teleport themselves into like the chorus of the earth.
[SPEAKER_05]: But all these planets all over the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they all know, I just, I mean, it's kind of funny thing about the other who are incredibly intelligent race and could find them instantly.
[SPEAKER_05]: So I can show you the world after we're going also not here.
[SPEAKER_05]: Like where these dudes go.
[SPEAKER_05]: So from there, I think we can kind of move.

[SPEAKER_05]: The first thing they did was they handed the universe over to the elder, the elder were there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which I think they were going to do always.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: But they again took a poet and philosopher race and ruined them.
[SPEAKER_05]: They weren't incredibly into the address.
[SPEAKER_05]: Do you think they saw this all coming?

[SPEAKER_02]: They have literally a
[SPEAKER_02]: They are all tied, their soul is tied to the warp.
[SPEAKER_02]: Everything that they do has an echo in the warp, and it is the first race that has this effect on the warp.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you just had a race that is now tied to the warp, have a war.
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I think there's an important piece that it has an effect on the work.
[SPEAKER_05]: You never have a positive effect on the work.
[SPEAKER_02]: You could have, if you would have left them be philosophers and things.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's a little bit, but that's something I think the work has no positive.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think the warp only feeds off negative energy.
[SPEAKER_05]: There's no, there's no, there's no poetry, guys.
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_05]: The warp agreed to disagree.
[SPEAKER_05]: But that's where I look at it.
[SPEAKER_05]: But this is it.
[SPEAKER_05]: The warp has now been destabilized and it doesn't restabilize.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have basically started, they were a tsunami is coming as we wave.
[SPEAKER_02]: The work went from this ocean of serene power to a turbulent mess.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you could still draw power from it and the other do for
[SPEAKER_05]: millions of years.
[SPEAKER_05]: I do wonder.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is a personal thing.
[SPEAKER_05]: I wonder if the warp corrupts in the sense that did the warp get a taste.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, because it was just this, I mean, are you saying that ultimate power always ultimately grabs?
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but I'm also saying that I think the warp is a living entity in a weird way.
[SPEAKER_05]: In the sense that all this war, all this death fed it and it liked that feed.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I think the warp then created things like the enslaved.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think it creates and encourages
[SPEAKER_05]: You think the warp is ominous by itself?
[SPEAKER_05]: I think the warp itself aware at this point became more self-aware later with the creation of chaos gods that became extremely self-aware.
[SPEAKER_05]: But I think at this stage, the warp is aware enough to start feeding some of these things.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm just saying that like, sometimes you're wrong and sometimes you're really wrong.
[SPEAKER_05]: And we will come back to the last two species which are by the Necrons who are asleep asleep.
[SPEAKER_02]: And with also look, we have to give them props.
[SPEAKER_02]: They've just won.
[SPEAKER_02]: But we have to give them a thing on this.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have such high levels of technology, which after, sixty five million years have still not been released.

[SPEAKER_05]: We were sixty by million years later, and they'd like the best like college in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're going to go with pretty good at this.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, they have the tech to just not be a

[SPEAKER_02]: That's a real thing, too.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also may have stopped just a little bit too long.
[SPEAKER_05]: There's the issues.
