Speaker 1: Hello everyone, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour. It's Charity and I am joined today with Kathy from our sister podcast, Golden Hour. Rachel is not here with us. She is at a family funeral and we are sending.

00:00:15
Speaker 2: Her all the love.

00:00:16
Speaker 1: It's March twenty six, and obviously it has been a very very long week in Bacheloration and today we will be covering some sensitive topics and we want to give the disclaimer and flag that now.

00:00:28
Speaker 3: Thank you Kathy for being here.

00:00:30
Speaker 4: I'm happy to be there with you.

00:00:31
Speaker 5: Charity.

00:00:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, so, as we know it, a lot really has happened and transpired over the past week, and you know, I think it's really important for us to be able to come on here, to be transparent with our audience. This franchise is fan base and really just talk about everything as honest as we can. And you know, you guys are a part of this franchise as much as we are, and so that's really what me and Kathy are going to do today.

00:01:01
Speaker 4: I think I think it's only fair for us to talk about what we know, what we're feeling.

00:01:08
Speaker 3: For me.

00:01:09
Speaker 4: We don't know, we're not you know, we're not Tailor, We're not in the middle of this. We're seeing what everyone else has seen, We're seeing what we see online, what we're reading, and clearly there's a lot of accusations flying and personally, I've had in my family a lot of issues around mental health issues in my own sphere, and I think that we as a as a a podcast community, as a part of the franchise that we love so much, we need to be cognizantive fact and hope that our listeners also understand this is sort of unchartered territory and my support always will go to children. I just feel like that's something that needs to be said.

00:02:03
Speaker 2: No, I agree wholeheartedly.

00:02:05
Speaker 1: It is a tricky situation obviously, and you know, like you said, you have experience with mental health, as do I a former therapists and specifically working with children and families.

00:02:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, the news itself was very.

00:02:22
Speaker 1: Hard to see and to hear about. But again, one of those things that you know, for anyone I feel like with you know, operating in a clear space or as much as they can when you know news like this transpires, is being very careful about you know, I don't want to say siding, but just kind of going with the facts, and so obviously we are not a part of that relationship nor that dynamic, and.

00:02:50
Speaker 2: So we don't have all the facts.

00:02:52
Speaker 1: We are also on the other side of everything and learning everything kind of in real time with the rest of the world, which is very hard. One of those things I always say is like two things can't exist at the same time. And I think, you know, you can acknowledge that something is not good, and you can also acknowledge that, oh, you know, there's things that are still unfolding, and.

00:03:15
Speaker 4: I think I think it's you know, it's very easy for people to judge other situations. Although my life is very different from Taylor's, I feel like this this franchise is about love, and I feel that even though it's a different story, Taylor deserves love. She deserves to find that second chapter, third chapter, find that that man that can bring her love and happiness while dealing with all our other issues. So, you know, I was hoping and I'm still hoping for a redemptive story from from this show. We don't know, it's not canceled. You know, it's on pause the show. Please people listen. The show has not been canceled at this point. It is only on a pause, it is not canceled.

00:04:09
Speaker 2: Do you feel like for Taylor's sake, do you wish that there was.

00:04:13
Speaker 1: Maybe more time in between that, I mean filming, Well, if.

00:04:19
Speaker 4: You just of course, I mean, that would be great, yeah, had that been the case. But I think that again, I am not a therapist, but I did come from a family of abuse, and I don't and I'm not throwing darts at anyone because I don't have all the facts, but I can tell you to escape from abusive situations is really tough to do, and so I think I'm not in Tailor's head space. But I feel like if she thought she was ready, if she wanted that, it's always easy to play Monday morning quarterback. You know, that's easy to say she wasn't ready. This happened. That happened. So you know, I can't make those judgments. I mean, in an ideal world, Charity, sure she would have her Oliver Ducks in a row. She would have dealt with the issues that she's been dealing with for a few years. You know, life just doesn't hand us always neatly tied packages and bows. I'm for sure the best we can and I feel as a woman and a mom. I am supportive of her and I'm supportive of her story and wanting her to have a great end to her story and find love.

00:05:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, did you have an opportunity to meet Taylor?

00:05:44
Speaker 4: I have never met her, but I hope to. I hope to meet Yeah. Yeah, I think, you know, I think, as I say, we don't know the full story. There's there's a lot of people that have put a lot of time and I'm you know, all her guys on the show, people have put a lot of time and energy, and you were a lead, I have you have to be a lead, but you know, never give up, never give up. But the stress of that, in addition to everything else that you.

00:06:16
Speaker 3: Know, that's gonna be a lot.

00:06:17
Speaker 4: That's gonna be a lot too. And I don't think we should forget that fact either.

00:06:22
Speaker 1: No, And I think that's what I always like take into consideration is just like when I you know, when I ask that question or when I prose that question.

00:06:31
Speaker 2: It's.

00:06:32
Speaker 1: It's just like I obviously like, no, unless you have and I don't mean this in like a cocky way, but like, unless you have been in the shoes of a lead, no one really understands like how complex and how exhausting it is on all fronts.

00:06:49
Speaker 2: And so that's why I asked that.

00:06:50
Speaker 1: Because again I'm like, I'm rooting for everyone, always rooting for everyone to be in the best state of, you know, their self, whatever it is.

00:07:00
Speaker 4: I really do believe that Taylor wants to find stability for her and her children.

00:07:07
Speaker 5: I believe that.

00:07:09
Speaker 4: I think as a mom, you know, I've made mistakes, believe me raising my kids. I'm not throwing any stones at anyone. I believe that her journey is a little bit different, yeah than yours are mine. Yeah, but that doesn't make it any less real, and it doesn't make her journey to find love any less valid.

00:07:32
Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to reference back to what you just said, Kathy about how you know you said life doesn't really give you things wrapped in a bow. And while I one percent agree with that, I think you know, in this specific situation, we have to be like extremely mindful of that, because yes, Taylor is deserving of love, and I think at the end of the day, it is we're all in the same page of like rooting for her love. But I think coming from a place where she is, you know, a mom of three, she has had, you know, turmoil in her life, and she's you know, trying to figure things out. I think she owes it not only to herself, but most importantly to her kids to enter this environment in the absolute best state.

00:08:20
Speaker 2: Of being, best state of mind possible.

00:08:22
Speaker 1: And if this was any other dating show, and granted if she was not, again, I'm just going to continue emphasizing her kids because I feel like that's the priority here. If this was any other dating show, it would be fine, you know, But she is looking for a husband. She's looking for someone who's going to now step into the lives of her children, and she has she again, she owes it to herself to show up the best and clear state of being and clear state of mind so that she can then leave this experience with what she pours in and not saying that she you know, she doesn't give that. But I think it can sometimes be clouded. It can sometimes be a little bit blurred when you're leaving something that's so chaotic and then you're going into this as we know, bachelor and just the dates we go on, the experience itself is almost like a little bit of a fairy tale. It kind of clouds that judgment a little bit. And I can speak from my own personal experience someone who did, you know, do basically a year of therapy before I even went on to the Bachelor and then Bachelorette. It's like I was so like locked in on myself fixing the things that I needed to work on, and I'm still fixing them.

00:09:27
Speaker 2: So that's not the argument here.

00:09:28
Speaker 1: It's just I'm doing what I can to prep myself, and I think, you know, that is something that I feel very strongly about in regards to supporting Taylor and all of this, Like I am supportive and I want happiness for her, but I do wish that there was a little bit of an opportunity for her to kind of just get her footing before all of this a little bit more and just be at the top of her name.

00:09:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, but I don't disagree with you.

00:09:54
Speaker 4: I think I think, given what we've seen, you know, definitely a tall order. I don't to scree with you at all. Yeah, I do think there was, you know, so much going on and a tangled web that maybe the time You're right, maybe the time wasn't spent untangling her own web to then be her best version of herself to yeah, to enter into this incredible opportunity. I don't agree with you at all.

00:10:20
Speaker 1: And another thing, like kind of going off that Kathy a little bit, is that we do kind of see a little bit of, I guess, a double standard in how we label things. I'm like, I am so in tune with just like pop culture and just who's on our screen and who's not on our screen, who's behind our screens.

00:10:37
Speaker 3: All of that.

00:10:38
Speaker 1: And I feel like when we have someone that's, you know, like Taylor who has this built in platform for people are invested in, you know, how her life turns out, whether that's you know, great or whether that's not so great.

00:10:51
Speaker 2: A lot of the dialogue around just.

00:10:53
Speaker 1: How we describe Taylor is someone who's like, you know, she stands out for herself, or she's like, you know, she's this boss bitch.

00:10:59
Speaker 2: Which sure, I.

00:11:01
Speaker 1: Think anyone who has the right to be very outspoken and can tell anyone, you know, where their place is in regards to her life, whether that's a boundary or not, I agree with that, but I think it's not an across the board, an even standard that everyone holds all people when.

00:11:18
Speaker 2: They come across our screens.

00:11:20
Speaker 1: So I think there is a little bit of a double standard there. If that was someone granted like me, like on my season, I had to carry myself like almost too perfect to the point where like that wasn't even my like real personality, Like it's I'm so afraid of making a mistake or I'm so afraid.

00:11:36
Speaker 2: Of like, oh, I'm going to get labeled as.

00:11:38
Speaker 1: This aggressive woman versus like, oh, she's having a boss bitch moment. Like there's a big distinguishment there that I don't think people are really acknowledging and really sitting with and understanding that that's fine if we want to like label that as like a boss bitch moment, but that should be the case for everybody, anyone who's standing out from themselves, anyone who's saying, you know what, I don't like how you just talked to me, you're going home, you're getting the limb, or you want to have a one on one back and forth with me, let's have it.

00:12:07
Speaker 2: But it's like that.

00:12:08
Speaker 1: Doesn't paint someone else who doesn't look like Taylor or doesn't fit in that box of Taylor as someone who is aggressive. And I think that's something that we really need to be mindful of, really needed to be mindful.

00:12:20
Speaker 4: You said just a few seconds ago that she had had the right with this platform.

00:12:27
Speaker 5: I would I would.

00:12:28
Speaker 4: Change that and say, which I think addresses where you're going. It's it's privilege, and with privilege comes responsibility. And so I think that just because you have you, she anyone really who has that that chance to be what some would consider a boss bitch and what some would consider outspoken and crazy, you know whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it also comes in my mind with a responsibility. You've got to be held a little bit higher. And you're right if you don't look the same, there's other judgment factors that play there that aren't fair, which makes the cocktail mix even stronger and your point even more poignant.

00:13:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I agree, And that's I like how you word that. With privilege does come a huge responsibility, And I think it all ties back to just, you know, whether or not someone like Taylor or just people who you know, whatever that looks like, has that awareness. You know, I think it starts with honestly self awareness and how you carry yourself, how you conduct yourself, whatever it may look like.

00:13:39
Speaker 2: At the end of the day. It's like being aware of where.

00:13:41
Speaker 1: You fall in this world of what we call life. Yeah, some people just are set up a little bit better and some not so much. But at the end of the day, that's not my argument. Like, at the end of the day, we all make it out for ourselves. But I just want our audience and our viewers to like really be mindful when we're how we're describing people or just how we're talking about people and making sure that you know, if we're going to hold someone to this level of accountability, we hold everyone to the same level.

00:14:11
Speaker 2: And that's just my thing. Life isn't fair. But at the end of the day, I think this is where we as a society has kind of failed a little bit of not really staying true to that.

00:14:21
Speaker 4: And and this is another opportunity, I think you're right, one opportunity not just to see the chaos and the mess and her ability to find love, but to say, here we are going to stand up. And this has yet a chance for us to show accountability that it should be held across the board.

00:14:41
Speaker 1: So yeah for sharing that charity one. You know, accountability is a big word. I want to make sure that everyone is seeing and understanding what that looks like in this situation and staying.

00:14:52
Speaker 2: True to that. That's yeah.

00:14:55
Speaker 1: Point, Yeah, it's it's nothing to gloss over. Truly, this is really serious things and serious you know, allegations, all all of that, but rooting for their well being at the end of the day. I think, you know something that I'm very mindful of is, you know we talked about this, Kathy, is just like how complex the situation is, and I just want to be really sensitive, especially like I said, considering my personal background of holding space for people who have been in these situations and people who find themselves in whatever these relationship dynamics might look like. You know, I like myself coming across that video a week ago was extremely difficult, and I think the most part, the most important thing of it all is the child being present. And you know, I think you, Kathy, could probably speak to a little bit of you know, what that dynamic is like if you're okay with that.

00:16:05
Speaker 4: I mean, obviously, when I was a child many many years ago that we didn't have the social media and the and the and the recording capabilities. So but I I personally was my family talk was a very toxic. I grew up in a very toxic family. And I know Taylor talks about the toxic cycles that she has gone through. It is very difficult for me to watch that because as a child I was I was caught up in one of those cycles, and so it is very triggering. I think that Taylor this this, this video was made in twenty twenty three. This this while we only saw it last week, it was recorded three years ago, and Taylor has spoken about it, she's not backed away from it. Doesn't make it any easier to watch it, and especially when there's children involved, it's just a really hard thing to witness.

00:17:09
Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. Yeah.

00:17:10
Speaker 4: I also think we need to remember that this is not entertainment.

00:17:16
Speaker 2: It's not let's talk about it.

00:17:18
Speaker 3: Oh my god.

00:17:19
Speaker 4: These are real people's lives. This is not you know, uh, somebody saying something silly and and have and created some great chaos that at some point, at some level is always entertaining. Yeah, these are real people's lives, and that to me makes a big difference as well.

00:17:40
Speaker 3: I agree.

00:17:41
Speaker 1: I agree there's no there should not be I won't again won't tell people how to feel, but there should not be any satisfaction behind watching any of this unfold. Uh, if you care about people, if you care about human life, you would care about both parties. Yeah, getting getting help, getting support, getting the necessary resources to really fix this situation and turn it around.

00:18:05
Speaker 4: So it is my hope, and I know it's yours charity everyone involved. I hope they get the help they need to resolve this situation in a way that is of benefit to them and the children, because you know, I said, as a mom, they deserve that. So I heard we have some very incredible guests today on this podcast. Is that true?

00:18:36
Speaker 2: I think.

00:18:37
Speaker 1: So we're going to have the opportunity to kind of kick off a fun little series where we're gonna introduce some of the men from Taylor's cast, which I'm very excited about because I do again, I empathize very deeply with the position that.

00:18:56
Speaker 2: They are in. I personally don't really know how I would handle that. I feel like there's a world.

00:19:02
Speaker 1: Where, you know, they're probably very disappointed, they're probably very sad, they're probably you know, there's so many emotions that is surrounding obviously the weight of all of this, and I think the least that we can do is, you know, just get to chat with them a little bit. So I think it's time that we meet at least a few of them.

00:19:23
Speaker 4: I am so excited to uh to sit here with you today and at least get to chat with a few of them. So take it away, Charity, I want to.

00:19:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, ready, okay, Well, without further ado, we're gonna get really into this, and we're gonna get into it quickly. We're gonna have our very first guy from Vacaville, California.

00:19:43
Speaker 2: We have Christopher. Welcome to Bachelor Happy Hour.

00:19:47
Speaker 5: Hi, ladies, I'm glad to be here. Hold on, hold on.

00:19:49
Speaker 6: I want to clarify first we started this off. I am not from Vacaville. I just live here. I was in the military and then I just stayed here. I'm originally from I grew up between Arkansas and Dallas like my parents.

00:20:02
Speaker 4: I was gonna say, you don't sound like you're from Upstick.

00:20:05
Speaker 3: You got a little twang in there.

00:20:07
Speaker 5: I'm not.

00:20:08
Speaker 6: I've just been living here because I was in the military and I just stayed here once I got out.

00:20:12
Speaker 4: What branch were you in?

00:20:14
Speaker 5: I was in the Air Force for eleven years.

00:20:16
Speaker 3: Oh wow, thank you for thank you for your service.

00:20:20
Speaker 5: Yeah, I appreciate you ladies.

00:20:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Well I'm I'm curious because I'm I always love meeting new people in the franchise. So before, actually, before we get into that, how are you feeling with everything?

00:20:33
Speaker 2: I know, it's been a lot.

00:20:35
Speaker 5: Honestly, it's just been like a whirlwind.

00:20:37
Speaker 6: I don't I don't think I've been able to articulate the way that I feel, you know, you know.

00:20:42
Speaker 5: I'll go to bed and I'll wake up in something else.

00:20:45
Speaker 6: So it's like I haven't had the time to get my feet underneath me yet with all this, I'm just trying to take it.

00:20:50
Speaker 5: Day by day.

00:20:51
Speaker 6: We're finding out things, as you're probably finding out things. You know, you can't get on social media without seeing something pertaining to our season.

00:20:58
Speaker 5: So I don't know, I can't fully to that.

00:21:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I think that's fair and totally valid.

00:21:03
Speaker 1: What are you doing to, I guess to keep yourself grounded in all of this.

00:21:09
Speaker 5: I'm doing what I've always done, you know, I go to the gym. I help people with their fitness.

00:21:13
Speaker 6: You know, I'm dealing with you know, I'm dealing with my friends, I have my daughter. I'm just I'm just doing my regular day to day as if none of this is happening. But you know again, I'll get those reminders I get on social media and I just I'll see something.

00:21:25
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I like your attitude. Take you to day by day. That's all you can do, Christopher.

00:21:30
Speaker 5: And I like to think I'm a very positive person.

00:21:33
Speaker 6: You know, that's been who I've been, and I like to think that's what got to be recognized, even be a part of you know, Bachelor Nation. My positivity and my outlook on just everything. You know, you'll never see me down for too long.

00:21:46
Speaker 5: I like that.

00:21:47
Speaker 4: I want to know how you your journey of the Bachelor.

00:21:50
Speaker 5: How did you get to the show? I honestly, I was just found.

00:21:55
Speaker 6: Like it was like a like somebody put my name in it and somebody just pulled it out. About a year ago, I was on Instagram one day and then I looked at my notifications. I had like twenty lights from this one person. It was a guy, and I was I'm not gonna lie. I was super skeptical. I was like, Okay, what is he on? Then I went to I checked my dms later on that night and he had sent me a DM.

00:22:19
Speaker 5: He told me he was a casting producer.

00:22:21
Speaker 6: So I went and looked at his Instagram and in his bio had showed that he was a casting producer.

00:22:26
Speaker 5: And then so I decided to respond to him.

00:22:28
Speaker 6: But I was super skeptical, and then once he responded, he was super professional, and then he just handed me off. We got on the call, and then he handed me off to another producer and then it checked out to be real. And then the next thing I know, you know, I'm doing background checks and I'm just going through the process.

00:22:46
Speaker 5: So I honestly, I don't know how you found me.

00:22:48
Speaker 4: Were you a fan?

00:22:51
Speaker 5: I've never if you.

00:22:52
Speaker 6: Knew my story. I am not from this world. I am like my world is Night and Day of Bachelor Nation. Yeah, nothing, nothing. I didn't know anything about it. But then I just started doing Google searches. And then I have friends that watched the show. One of my good friends I went to high school was she told me about the show. So I was like, Okay, I'll give it a try. After I talked to my daughter about it, and then I was like, I'll do it.

00:23:15
Speaker 2: Oh did you get like have to get her blessing for a hand.

00:23:20
Speaker 6: In many ways, yes, Yeah, Sophie is my biggest fan.

00:23:24
Speaker 5: That's my daughter. She's my biggest fan.

00:23:27
Speaker 6: And when I told her what the show was about, you know, she was like, okay, dad, dude, because she's been nudging me, like when are you going to have more kids?

00:23:33
Speaker 5: Or when are you going to get married?

00:23:34
Speaker 4: So way, wait, hold on, Christopher, Christopher, I can I can help you with half that detail. How do you feel about the older women period?

00:23:43
Speaker 5: I think you're a beautiful older woman. I think you're Oh you.

00:23:47
Speaker 4: Didn't even put the hat in there. It could have just said.

00:23:50
Speaker 5: You're a beautiful woman. I mean, that's how you set it up.

00:23:53
Speaker 4: So I was like, okay, So how is Sophie.

00:23:57
Speaker 5: Sophie is thirteen, she'll be fourteen September twenty four.

00:24:00
Speaker 1: Oh wow, she's got a teenager.

00:24:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, we have the teenage blues because she.

00:24:10
Speaker 2: Yet I know.

00:24:15
Speaker 5: Yeah.

00:24:15
Speaker 6: But she's a very very smart girl. She's very very intelligent. We're very close. We talk, we play this. This this game is similar to the relationship I had with my mother. My mom and I were very we were friends, but she would hit that switch and you would know she's not being your friend right now. So our relationship is a reflection of that so she's very intelligent. She's in sports, she's playing all these different sports right now. She's outgoing, she's courageous. I'm so I'm super proud of my daughter.

00:24:46
Speaker 5: You know.

00:24:47
Speaker 3: Oh that's sweet.

00:24:48
Speaker 5: Love that.

00:24:49
Speaker 1: So she was ready for you said, nudging you to like do this or like, I guess figuring out what's next for dad?

00:24:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, how was your I guess before you came on the back there?

00:25:00
Speaker 1: If you don't mind me asking, like, what was like the dating scene like for you?

00:25:05
Speaker 2: I'm sure it's like the same answer from everyone.

00:25:10
Speaker 5: I think we're just in a weird time in history.

00:25:14
Speaker 6: Yeah, dating is has become so complicated, you know, and I think social media does a has a big role to.

00:25:21
Speaker 5: Play in that.

00:25:21
Speaker 6: You know, people are comparing their regular lives to celebrity lives, and their financial situations.

00:25:27
Speaker 5: To the financial situations of people that are rich.

00:25:30
Speaker 6: And I'm just like, these are these aren't realistic, Like what you're expecting is not real.

00:25:35
Speaker 5: So it's very hard for me to date because the way that.

00:25:37
Speaker 6: I am, I'm very accountable with myself and I hold anybody that's in my life accountable, and that can push a lot of people away.

00:25:45
Speaker 5: And I'm okay with that, you know.

00:25:48
Speaker 6: So dating has been very difficult because it's hard for me to connect with people. When I date someone, I'm trying to establish a connection. I can't be into me with anyone I don't feel a connection to and you're not going to speed my connection up just because you want to obtain something from you obtain something. So I'm just like, dating is very difficult, very difficult for me just because of how I am.

00:26:09
Speaker 2: It's like a realist.

00:26:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm very.

00:26:12
Speaker 6: Much a realist, and sometimes to a fault. I think when you're too logical, sometimes logic doesn't have a place when you're in love, like you know. So that's been a that's been something about something about me that I think I need to work on.

00:26:24
Speaker 4: But I wonder what you do for a living, Christopher, what do you do?

00:26:29
Speaker 5: Okay? So I was in the military for eleven years.

00:26:33
Speaker 6: Like I said, I started this business where I do these outdoor boot camps like and they're serious.

00:26:39
Speaker 5: They're serious.

00:26:40
Speaker 6: So I started doing them in twenty seventeen, I believe, and they just slowly continued to grow over the years. And then I launched a website where it's a it's a merchandise thing too, So we started doing you know products what I would sell, you know, surrounding it.

00:26:57
Speaker 5: And it's been it's been very successful for me.

00:27:00
Speaker 6: The town I live in, Vacaville, they've embraced me kind of as their own and you know, people around town they recognize me because of these fit comps. So, and then I helped train people in the gym. So this has been my life since I separated from the military.

00:27:14
Speaker 4: I'm Cherry, you're hearing it. It's a love affair of starting here. I'm in the gym all the time lifting weights. Christopher were a match mad and have that.

00:27:21
Speaker 5: Listen, we can work some things out. I'm serious work something else.

00:27:28
Speaker 4: I really.

00:27:30
Speaker 2: Kathy is a really good player.

00:27:32
Speaker 3: I'll give it.

00:27:32
Speaker 2: I'll give you that, Kathy.

00:27:37
Speaker 4: Okay, enough about I want to know what were you planning to do for the premiere.

00:27:44
Speaker 5: Heartbreak.

00:27:46
Speaker 6: So the group that I mentioned the workouts that we do, they all put together a watch party of one of the members' houses.

00:27:54
Speaker 5: She made a flyer for everyone.

00:27:56
Speaker 6: We have a group message on Instagram that we would already interact. Then for the classes, you know, we give them details about where we were going to be, what we're doing. So everybody was all excited. We were all going to meet and it was going to be twenty plus keeping.

00:28:09
Speaker 4: Hey, Chris first stopped saying in the past tense. The show is only on a pause. It's not canceled. You may have your premiere yet.

00:28:16
Speaker 5: I knew I liked you when you first started talking. I appreciate it. But yes, let's get this into existence.

00:28:22
Speaker 6: We need this see season, This season needs to be shared with the world because I think it's abound.

00:28:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, how is your relationship with I guess the guys and how was that dynamic? Without giving too much away, you can tease us a lot, right, let's see how I.

00:28:39
Speaker 5: See how I want to navigate this.

00:28:41
Speaker 6: Okay, Earlier I mentioned how everyone around me you're going to be held accountable if you're going to be around me.

00:28:47
Speaker 5: So again, that.

00:28:49
Speaker 6: Is it started off by me just being myself and holding people accountable.

00:28:54
Speaker 5: And naturally you want to butt heads.

00:28:56
Speaker 6: But everyone that I butt had a situation where where we would butt here.

00:29:00
Speaker 5: I like to think that we were able to sit down like men and talk about it.

00:29:03
Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.

00:29:04
Speaker 6: So you know there were some guys in the house where we were but his and it actually made our relationship better in the long run.

00:29:11
Speaker 1: Oh wow, I'm always curious to see. Like so for when I was on The Bachelor as a contestant, like me and the girls were still like very close to this day.

00:29:27
Speaker 6: Like it's just I'm still close to some of them gods today.

00:29:31
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:29:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think the same to you.

00:29:33
Speaker 1: For my fiance, it's like he's very close with you know, the guys from his cast. So it's just it's one of the important questions.

00:29:40
Speaker 2: I feel like if you know, however.

00:29:45
Speaker 4: Exactly like part of the big family.

00:29:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, friendship is really important.

00:29:50
Speaker 6: I remember going into the situation, just based on my past, I've had a lot of issues with guys that call themselves my friends, just because the way I carried myself. I'm not in competition with anyone hello, and they don't have They would have secret competitions with me that I didn't even know about. You know, they will make an issue up or say I did this, But in reality, this is like your insecurity that you're projecting on me. So when I got to the house, that's what I was expecting everyone to be like. But fortunately for me that that wasn't the case as much as I expected it to be.

00:30:23
Speaker 5: I mess with the genuine guys in the.

00:30:25
Speaker 4: House, and you seem I mean, based on I I can't take my eyes off your arm muscles. But other than that, you strike me as a guy who is really secure in who you are.

00:30:36
Speaker 6: Absolutely, I know that I'm not perfect, but you know, I appreciate what God gave me. I appreciate what God gave me, and I was just trying to make the best of everything I've ever had.

00:30:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, good for you. I love the positivity.

00:30:49
Speaker 5: I appreciate it.

00:30:50
Speaker 1: Was there was there any, like, I guess, fears for you for I mean, I'm sure it's very natural coming into obviously an experience like this, and it's there's so many unknown if you had any fears that you feel comfortable sharing, Like, was there any about how this.

00:31:06
Speaker 2: Process was gonna unfold?

00:31:08
Speaker 1: Like what was something that you were nervous about, like I guess talking about for yourself.

00:31:14
Speaker 6: I was there, To be honest, you know, I wouldn't have done this situation if I had.

00:31:19
Speaker 5: Certain things that like skeletons in my closet.

00:31:21
Speaker 6: You know, there's certain things that it's like you can't come back from that. I don't have those things. So I went into this. I was trying to be as fearless as possible. When you're venturing out into the unknown, it's just it's kind of hard, you know. So I just I leaned into who I was. Certain things that I was fearful of was just being alienated maybe, you know, like I said, I get to the house and I'm like, maybe I'm gonna have issues with everyone. No one's gonna like me. So that was a part of me that felt that that could be the thing. It's like being alienated and being in this different environment that you do not know and you're not comfortable in. So I was just curious how I was going to navigate that.

00:31:57
Speaker 5: Yeah, again, I was in the military for years.

00:32:00
Speaker 6: I've been on military deployments in war zones, literally war zones, So I think having that kind of gave me a level of confidence that I needed to just kind of keep moving my feet. But yeah, that was something that I was I was curious about. And and then just the thought of being away from my daughter in that context, you know, not being able to call her winning or whenever I wanted to, or just you know, just so many unknowns is the thing that I thought I was scared about.

00:32:26
Speaker 4: So Christopher that that brings up another question for me. There have been a few leads and people who come on the show with children. How did you feel about being a single dad knowing that the bats were at that Taylor had children.

00:32:44
Speaker 6: I've dated women with children before. I've seen it can work, so that was something that I was I'm open minded. I'm very open minded. I understand that, you know, where we have these circumstances, we put ourselves in these positions.

00:32:59
Speaker 5: In many ways.

00:32:59
Speaker 6: I will admit was that, but you know, I've seen it work. I've dated a woman with kids and her kids loved me. I loved her kids, her kids loved my kids, and she loved like we've I've made it before. So I went into this, you know, being open minded. There's a misconception that I've been seeing online. A lot of people are under this impression that we knew about Taylor, Like long before.

00:33:22
Speaker 5: We got there, I didn't know that Taylor was going to be the best red Tool.

00:33:26
Speaker 6: I had already agreed to do it, so I was gonna ask that I found out later. And then once I found out later, when I saw Taylor, Frankie Paul.

00:33:35
Speaker 5: I'm like, who the hell is this. I don't come from this world.

00:33:40
Speaker 6: So I have started doing Google searches and then like my friends found out, they were like, oh, I know her, I watched her other show, and then they started telling me things. So I was like, oh boy, like what what am I going.

00:33:52
Speaker 5: To do with this?

00:33:53
Speaker 6: But you know, there's been there's been rumors about me in my life, so I thought it would be unfair to judge her based on, you know, what I got from a second or third hand source. So there's been a lot of people that's been reaching out trying to get the cast to like, say, speak on our experiences with what's going on with in the house or with Taylor and her business.

00:34:14
Speaker 5: Uh, the type of person I am, I wasn't there, you know, I don't know. I mean, it's very unfortunate.

00:34:20
Speaker 6: To see it play out on social media, especially when children are involved, Like those kids are gonna have to.

00:34:25
Speaker 5: Grow up and see these videos. Now, yeah, you know, this is this is someone's real life.

00:34:30
Speaker 6: This is someone's real life, and then you have people on social media with their opinion. I'm like, you guys don't know what's going on, and we've only seen one side of the story play out, you know, in the media. So I think it's unfair for people to jump to an assumption or a conclusion without having all the facts. And that's something that I've stayed away from. But yes, it's very unfortunate. But you know, let people, you know, live their lives without you know, being so judgmental or you know, opinionated. I just whish more people would give more grace to people versus just jumping to attack them.

00:35:04
Speaker 2: We love that word. No, I appreciate that.

00:35:07
Speaker 3: I think.

00:35:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, me and Kathy really did dive into that a lot before we had you on and.

00:35:14
Speaker 4: And you and you just eloquently summarized a lot of what we say.

00:35:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.

00:35:19
Speaker 2: All right on a light your node.

00:35:21
Speaker 1: Before we let you go, We're going to play a quick game of hot seat, so basically just rapid fire prompts to help us get to know you and your personality a little bit better. So let's get right into it. So first one's very easy. Okay, cowboy hat or a baseball cap?

00:35:37
Speaker 5: Does the occasion? Do we have an occasion?

00:35:40
Speaker 2: I guess whichever one you naturally gravitate towards more.

00:35:44
Speaker 6: I wear more baseball caps, but I think cowboy hats look better.

00:35:48
Speaker 3: Okay, and you can wear them with so many.

00:35:51
Speaker 4: Dis I got mine sitting right over there because I could reach it.

00:35:55
Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, I think cowboy head.

00:35:57
Speaker 4: I'll go Cowboy had Okay, you mentioned I love to travel, just say, you know, forgetting to know each other.

00:36:05
Speaker 6: Hair.

00:36:05
Speaker 4: You mentioned this in every country on your list is on it is on your bucket list? Which countries are at the top of your list? And how many of you already pessited.

00:36:16
Speaker 5: I've been to twenty seven countries. Wow, the top of my list. I'm I'm super biased.

00:36:25
Speaker 6: Amsterdam has a very special place in my heart for so many different reasons. I think if you go late summer till maybe like October, that is the perfect time to be in Amsterdam.

00:36:36
Speaker 5: So Amsterdam is number one. Wow. Stockholm, Sweden was special, very special to me.

00:36:44
Speaker 6: And then the third, I want to go somewhere I've never been, maybe like.

00:36:50
Speaker 5: Kyrgyzstan. I've seen the horses there and just like, where's that open plane?

00:36:56
Speaker 6: And I think I cried I saw it in person, So I would listen those three places.

00:37:02
Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, very not basic, so good job.

00:37:08
Speaker 1: I appreciate it, okay, and our last one tell us about your tattoos. We know that you have a lot, so is there a favorite? And then I guess what do they mean to you?

00:37:20
Speaker 5: All Right?

00:37:21
Speaker 6: So I want to put out a PSA for tattoos. Young people should not get tattoos before twenty.

00:37:26
Speaker 3: Five, okay, period.

00:37:27
Speaker 6: I wish that was a law because you know, a lot of my tattoos that I got around twenty ten, there was a lot of like people that was just blasting their bodies and tattoos just top to bottom, and I got caught up in that.

00:37:40
Speaker 5: I was living in Germany when I started, and I got a lot of.

00:37:43
Speaker 6: Tattoos that, granted they have meaning, or they did at the time that I got them.

00:37:47
Speaker 5: If I could go back and redo it, I wouldn't have any.

00:37:49
Speaker 6: Of them, just because, like your frontal rope doesn't fully develop until you're older as a man at least.

00:37:56
Speaker 5: So, but there's a leg.

00:37:58
Speaker 6: Tattoo that I have that I really appreciate. I appreciate this leg tattoo that I have. It's the best work that I have and it.

00:38:05
Speaker 5: Was the most painful. So I'll just say my leg tattoo.

00:38:09
Speaker 6: Matter of fact, we should probably send a picture in and y'all could just flash it.

00:38:13
Speaker 1: Barness, is there is there like like significance behind it.

00:38:18
Speaker 5: Yeah.

00:38:19
Speaker 6: So I have these pictures in my living room with this warrior tribe from Africa, and I decided that it was a family. It was a family, and I wanted to put the daughter on my leg because just what she represented, just like a strength. She reminded me of my mother in a lot of ways because my mother she passed when I was fifteen, but she was a warrior. My mother was a warrior to me, you know, to watch her raised kids and battle breast cancer the way that she did it was just she reminded me of my mother. As soon as I saw so, I was like, I want to put that on my leg.

00:38:50
Speaker 3: Wow, Wow, thank you for sharing.

00:38:53
Speaker 1: I'm like, we love significance and we love meaning, Okay, I think Yeah, Honestly.

00:39:01
Speaker 2: We could talk for hours.

00:39:02
Speaker 1: I feel like Kathy probably would not ever want to not stop talking to you. But unfortunately for Kathy, we are gonna have to wrap today with you, Chris. But I am so excited that we got this fun Like just honestly, you're just full of so much.

00:39:20
Speaker 3: Like joy and life.

00:39:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, like it really is. Like it's a trust me. It's a breath of fresh air at least here in Bachelor Nation.

00:39:29
Speaker 2: And I just have a feeling that we're gonna get.

00:39:31
Speaker 1: To know a lot more about you and you obviously we'll be back on Bachelor Happy Hours. So before we leave, where can people keep up with you? Where can they follow you up? Throw in some taglines for us?

00:39:45
Speaker 6: My Instagram has been even before the show, before the announcement, my Instagram started doing very well because I cut my hair. So when I did the show, I had longer hair and then I put.

00:39:57
Speaker 5: It in now.

00:39:59
Speaker 6: So I did this video and it just did very well. A lot of people was invested in me cutting my hair. Yeah, my Instagram is the number one hundred one zero zero w A y S one hundred ways to live the number two period on Instagram.

00:40:14
Speaker 1: Okay, thank you so much, Christopher. I like to keep following you, Chris. I don't know why, just you know, great.

00:40:21
Speaker 4: Yeah, it was great to meet. Yeah.
