Okay, But this past week's episode was Martel Atlanta boys trip, and he had a party where he invited a lot of the local Atlanta women. I'm assuming they all were single for obvious reasons, and.

Speaker 3: You know, for me, the most fascinating part of that episode was literally the conversation that Martell had with Uncle Sam House on the deck okay, where I felt like this was a genuine moment for Uncle Sam, who we hadn't met at least I don't remember him, but in hearing his frustrations about Martel a not recognizing him and then be not recognizing his mom enough, I felt like that was really an opportunity for Martel to simply say, you know what, bro, I'm sorry, I you know what, I get nervous when I'm speaking.

I'm like, if you don't want this scene, I mean, it's literally turning into a scene. I mean, this ain't y'all with the with the yelling cut in the background. This is really turning into something that somebody feels something about. And you could tell Uncle Sam ain't used to this, you know he don't. I don't feel like he's used to this reality TV game. So I feel like for him, this is real life, right, And so then Martell telling it Now. I don't know how y'all work with the camera crew and stuff like that, but from my experience with reality TV, I could not tell the camera crew to stop doing what they was gonna do.

And she said, no, I think he's great. I want him to I swear to you. She said this, I want him to pass his test to get his builder's license. And she said, I want Melody to take him back. So what Martel has said to me is the fact that everywhere he goes, women offer themselves.

Speaker 1: And it was so interesting to see Leticia come to this realization that she needs to be more outspoken in her marriage and how she does that.

He was very direct with her about what she needs to do and about how Marcel talked her into letting him go to Africa last minute. You don't make a last minute trip to Africa. That's something you've been thinking about for weeks and weeks because you got a plan to prepare for that. Trust me, I mean, we all know what that's like. You don't just say, you know what, I'm going to Africa today. Nobody says that. So as he broke that down for her, it was almost like a light bulb went off in her head. And to me, I feel like Letitia has listened. I like Letitia because I feel like she is a beautiful, but I feel like she's extremely smart.

And to me, the best scene that I have seen with them so far has been that key Key Wyatt scene where she was waiting for him in the car and she made him come sit down beside him.

What you did that was I felt like was smart was after that reunion, y'all didn't waste no time diving into the aftermath of that photo coming out, and the cast did not. They for whatever reason, they didn't shy away from social media at all. Like everybody was in the comments, you know, going back and forth. So everybody played a part. And another thing is I feel like everybody plays a part on the show, like every character is active, not character. I guess I should say every cast member is active, like there are there's no passive person.

Speaker 3: And you know what's funny about this show is, and I don't know where we are in terms of how close we are to the finale, but I feel like the door has just really started to open. And what I like about this show is that I feel like I'm starting to see more of these personal stories, Like this particular episode that just passed last week was so important for us as the audience to get to know Ashley, because so far, Ashley has been involved in controversy and we've seen her story through the lens of her dealings with Quick. But in this episode, we really got to see what she's going through and understand who she is as a person. And I'm waiting to see the same thing with Jamie, Okay, because I feel as though Jamie could open up a little bit more. Okay, that's number one, because I feel like with him, we're getting his story through the lens of Arena and his kids, but I feel like he ain't really opened up quite like Quick and Chris have quite yet.

And allegedly he said, oh I fell asleep out of real life. What did you think of that sit down between Arena and Winter? Because Arena, to me, always came across us very dignified and classy and elegant and very grown one, very very Kimmy from Junceville.

She's a sweetheart, she's a hustler, but she's not a leading cast member. And one thing about my girl Jen, Jen is with the shits. Jen isn't the one who causes that. Jen knows how to carry she's you know, she's like a bone carrier. And Jackie Christy could be a force multiplier, but I think the women think she's a joke and they don't take her seriously enough to give her the respect that I.

But you know what though, I feel like sometimes, especially with shows that I recap and they are filled with women of color or people of color or black people in general, I feel and I shouldn't feel like this, but I feel like it is my duty to a recap it, let people know it's on, and support the show in some type of way, right, So if I got to make it entertaining, I do that, okay through my reviews, and I find myself working extra hard to make it entertaining through my reviews. So that tells me that, ay, you're right, they do need someone who can get the party started, and can't nobody get those that party started like.

Speaker 1: For Carlos King It was the first episode this season where everything was real and it wasn't somebody looking to have a moment, Sonya. It wasn't somebody looking to make a moment happen Drew and Ralph, everybody was invested. It was real conversations. It was reality happening right before my brown eyes. I mean the fact that they called Candy and Todd receiving a phone call that some stalker was at her.

Speaker 1: The producers to say, let's send a camera crew to follow Candy and Todd in this moment that was spectacular. And Sonya, who last week I said was unlikable because she was looking for a moment, she had these rehearse reads. I enjoyed that very special scene between her and her husband.

Speaker 1: She was really terrified to have that conversation with him on the camera, and you felt the uncomfortableness in that scene and it.

Speaker 1: I've also said I've been hard on Drew because I felt that Drew and Ralph was studying Martell and Melody Hoats and they were giving me a script based upon what TD Jake's created and what Robin Gibbons directed, Honey, and I wasn't here for any of those things. So I was happy that even Drew had a moment. But I want to hear from my boy, Ritchie.

Speaker 3: I loved every single thing about this episode from start to finish. I feel like you felt everybody was active in this episode. Everybody. Sonya was active that scene with her husband, and I know it's a good episode when I'm mad. I was so mad at Ross for the way he responded to her, because she is telling you she needs help, and here you go talking about you would resent her if she didn't have another baby while you still running off around here, going down to Austin or whatever you're going, if you don't hire some employees down there, or do and delegate or do something. And that brings me to another point. I don't understand why Sonya is asking Drew or Ralph for any marital advice. I don't know what they marriage is like in real life, but I know what they present on the show. And based on what they present on the show, the fact that Sonya is asking both of them what they were doing this that YOUU that's a problem you want. That's the wrong role right there. Like I'm like, girl, what are you doing?

Speaker 3: Sonya, you need to be taking some of the anger that you're throwing Drew's way, like for whatever reason, and you need to be tossing it to Ross.

Speaker 1: I agree with you because I said to my listeners that the reason why Sonya picked on Drew is because Sonya needed a moment. When you are a new housewife, you have to have your moment, and she thought that Drew was an easy target. Because, in my opinion, I agree with Drew. She was cloud chasing Kenya and Candy for that photo shoot.

Speaker 3: Can I tell you that this is my favorite season for Kenya because I felt like that battle went on for so long it became stale, and it felt like they were both just better one and I felt like it weighed them down. I don't feel like Kenya is weighed down by that beef anymore. So she feels freer to me. I don't know, I just I am in love with her this season, that moment with her and Candy. I love that moment Candy is activated. And listen, I always feel like reality TV you have either your protagonist or your antagonist, right, and your antagonist can fall into two categories, a straight up villain or an anti hero.

Speaker 3: The protagonist the hero They not really usually doing nothing to nobody. They got their own little stories and things like that, but they need to be revveed up every now and again.

Speaker 3: Felt like Candy has been revveed up this season, and that, ultimately, I feel like makes for a better season because it makes her more active with the ladies, because typically she more.

Speaker 1: It's not a bad thing, but it's also not the greatest television to watch, right, right, And what you were saying is so true. I love Candy. When Candy's activated. Candy loves when she is the topic of conversation on the show, and she should. She's a reality star and she's on the show. So when you got to saying, we want Marlow fire because she's making Candy mad, Candy refuses to be a part of anything whack.

Speaker 1: Candy pulled up to the scene and I believe that they were like, Uh, what are you wearing? This is a spa, And I believe Candy was like, no one told me what.

Speaker 2: Was a spa? I got a meaning to go to after this, and she was pissed. So when she walked in. That's why she was on ten.

Speaker 1: And the reason why I know that is because she would do that to me sometimes.

Speaker 2: And then secondly, when marlow esher was like, oh girl, you're not going to get in, she.

Speaker 1: Got so mad and I said, oh, she's filling the fire based on a conversation she had outside with the producer. So that's why, guys, in my opinion, she came in on ten because y'all were asking about that too, like why is she on ten? That's the reason why I feel she was on ten. So anyways, it all worked to their benefit because Candy let Marlowe have it and I loved it.

Speaker 3: Listen, I could tell it was going there. When Candy's voice get the trembling, okay, and her hand get to raising, I know that's when she's about to unleash. And what the thing that is great about Candy is she's going to give you emotion when she's upset. And it's not that I want to say that I like that, but it tells me she feels something, yes, And I think as viewers, we want to know that you feel something in that moment exactly. And that's the reason why this episode was spectacular is because every single peach holder felt something in their scenes.

Speaker 1: So my hope is that after this episode we get to see more those great scenes, and if we do, then I do believe, ladies and gentlemen, we are in store for a great season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. All I know is the last time I talked to Callous, he said that the bells were belling. So we're just gonna have to roll with that until we get some type of announcement. So I said, hopefully one is coming soon. And my hope was also too that you brought on new cast members. And I always feel like this ever since, we talked about like having two new cast members come on. I think it's the magic number one when you are introducing new cast members, because you can juxtapose those two cast members and you can get these two new different flavors and there's not so much pressure on the one to perform.

Speaker 1: Cause that's exactly what we went into. When I say we, I mean myself, my team at Kingdom Rang Entertainment, but also the executives over at the network. We all said it shouldn't be the pressures of one new beall like you should bring on two. So the two new bills we brought on Aikeisha and so Gucci. I mean, the fact that sis name is so Gucci tells you a lot already. But when I say to you, guys, it is such a wonderful season. And what's different between this season than the first season is we're diving more into the personal relationships that these women have with their significant others. And when I say to you, it's juicy, it's shady, it's funny, it's dramatic, And we got Latsia, Latrees, Tambra and Marie coming back.

Speaker 3: Listen that argument in the trailer, there's an argument between Latitia and Marie. It felt so raw, like you could feel it through the like through the screen. To me, I was like, now this is how you do a trailer. A lot of times, trailers will give you fluff in the beginning, right. I don't know why they do that, but this, I mean, it hits you right in the face. And it's so unexpected because they were so close last season. So to see that type of moment and not that they won't get back together after this, because you know, a real I think great cast can have a moment and come back together, and we love to see that, but to see it so real and so raw like that right at the jump, I was like, I'm ready, I'm ready, yes, and.
