A Veteran’s Late-Night Bigfoot Encounter on a Texas Highway | Thought It Was A Man Until It Stood Up

<v Speaker 1>moment that stops someone cold on a dark Texas highway.
<v Speaker 1>Kevin is a military veteran from East Texas, from a
<v Speaker 1>small town just north of Tyler. Like a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people who grew up in the nineteen seventies, he was
<v Speaker 1>aware of bigfoot shows like in Search of Planted the
<v Speaker 1>idea early on, but for decades it stayed exactly that,
<v Speaker 1>an idea that changed. In October of twenty twenty two,
<v Speaker 1>late at night, Kevin was driving a work route near
<v Speaker 1>Port Arthur, heading back toward Tyler on State Highway ninety six.
<v Speaker 1>Coming around a bend, he saw what he first thought
<v Speaker 1>was a man standing near the road. It was tall, dark,
<v Speaker 1>almost like someone wearing a trench coat. But as he
<v Speaker 1>closed the distance that assumption collapsed. What he saw wasn't human.

<v Speaker 1>encounter from the state of Texas. Kevin, Welcome to Sasquatch Theory.
<v Speaker 1>How are you doing today.
<v Speaker 2>I'm doing good.
<v Speaker 1>How are you doing excellent? It's an absolute pleasure to
<v Speaker 1>have you on the show today. If you would tell
<v Speaker 1>me a little bit about yourself, where you're from, and
<v Speaker 1>your experiences from the very beginning, please.
<v Speaker 2>Well, basically, I'm in East Texas guy. I grew up
<v Speaker 2>in the Tyler area and live from a little town
<v Speaker 2>north of Tyler. And just really I'm a veteran at
<v Speaker 2>fat man. I wasn't didn't really I knew about Bigfoot
<v Speaker 2>growing up because of the in search and stuff like that.
<v Speaker 2>You know. I grew up like in the seventies, not
<v Speaker 2>to date myself, but and then I knew a lot
<v Speaker 2>about you know, I'd seen things about Bigfoot, but never
<v Speaker 2>really thought, never really crossed my mind, you know that
<v Speaker 2>it might be in this area, you know, And it
<v Speaker 2>basically just my story is pretty straight. It's pretty simple.
<v Speaker 2>I was driving back. Well, let's say this happened in
<v Speaker 2>October twenty twenty two at night or late at night
<v Speaker 2>by one or two in the morning. I drove for
<v Speaker 2>a transportation company and I was driving a route that
<v Speaker 2>went from Tyler down to Port Arthur, Texas. And then
<v Speaker 2>for anybody would know Port Arthur between Tyler, there's a
<v Speaker 2>lot of woods through there that route. And so I
<v Speaker 2>was going down to Port Arthur and made my stop
<v Speaker 2>in Port Arthur, and I was on my way back
<v Speaker 2>to Tyler as I was coming through a little town
<v Speaker 2>called Lumberton, which is north of Momont. I'd say the
<v Speaker 2>weather was kind of like an overcast that night. It
<v Speaker 2>had been raining a little bit. As I was driving
<v Speaker 2>north of Lumberton going through a little town, well it's
<v Speaker 2>called Warren when it's off of State Highway ninety six,
<v Speaker 2>I think that's what it is. I'm driving along there
<v Speaker 2>by one or two at night, just you know, trying
<v Speaker 2>to get back, trying to stay up, you know, keep
<v Speaker 2>keep my eyes focused on what was going ahead of me.
<v Speaker 2>I have a habit of doing that because I've been
<v Speaker 2>driving the roads East Texas for many years at night.
<v Speaker 2>So you really have to be locked in. You have
<v Speaker 2>to really watch what you're doing because there's a lot
<v Speaker 2>of animals, you know, there's a lot of danger out there,
<v Speaker 2>especially at night. Well, as I'm driving along there, Warren,
<v Speaker 2>I'm just kind of driving along, you know, listening a
<v Speaker 2>little music whatever, and I round a bend and as
<v Speaker 2>I'm rounding a bend in the road curve, I see
<v Speaker 2>I just kind of glanced over there on the on
<v Speaker 2>the on the left haide side, and I'm like, is
<v Speaker 2>that a man sitting there by a sign? And that's
<v Speaker 2>my first with a trench coat on. So as I
<v Speaker 2>drove I'm doing about mind you, I'm doing about sixty
<v Speaker 2>sixty five right now. As I come closer to it,
<v Speaker 2>I kind of glance over as I pass it, and
<v Speaker 2>what I saw just it really just blew my mind.
<v Speaker 2>This thing was not a man, to say, to put
<v Speaker 2>it modily, and I didn't get a good look at
<v Speaker 2>his face, but this thing was a good eight foot tall,
<v Speaker 2>and it the best way I can describe it was
<v Speaker 2>sort of like really really wasn't like a bodybuilder, but
<v Speaker 2>kind of slender but yet had really wide shoulders and
<v Speaker 2>it looked like it was, you know, crouching for when
<v Speaker 2>I first saw it was like it was crouching down
<v Speaker 2>but it stood up. And I just glanced at as
<v Speaker 2>I drove by, and it looked like it it just
<v Speaker 2>from what I can gether, it looked like it just
<v Speaker 2>jumped and went into the woods. And so therefore I
<v Speaker 2>passed by and I went down the road about a
<v Speaker 2>mile or two, I pulled over on the side of
<v Speaker 2>the road. I was like, what in the heck did
<v Speaker 2>I just see? And I was like, uh, I sat
<v Speaker 2>there in my car with it running. It just kind
<v Speaker 2>of shook It kind of shook me up a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>I was just like, what did I just see? You know?
<v Speaker 2>So I I just I pulled around and drove back
<v Speaker 2>to the area where I was. I got on the
<v Speaker 2>side of the road, got up the courage to get
<v Speaker 2>up out of the car and look out in the
<v Speaker 2>woods and see what I saw. What I could see,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and uh, I don't know. It smelt sort
<v Speaker 2>of like a an animal. I smelt like some kind
<v Speaker 2>of musky smell, sort of like I'm wet dog or
<v Speaker 2>something like that. But I grabbed my flashlight, which I
<v Speaker 2>always carry a flashlight with me, and I start, you know,
<v Speaker 2>skinning the woods and everything looking around in it. But
<v Speaker 2>see what I could see, you know. But I didn't
<v Speaker 2>see anything. I did hear a couple of what sounded
<v Speaker 2>like some heavy branches breaking, and that guy me, I
<v Speaker 2>just got back in my car took off. Now, I
<v Speaker 2>sit there as I was driving back to Woodville, just
<v Speaker 2>thinking to myself, what did I just see? What do
<v Speaker 2>I mean? This was not this was not a bear?
<v Speaker 2>What did I just see? You know? And so I
<v Speaker 2>got it. I got pulled in the truck stop of Woodville,
<v Speaker 2>and I sit there and I just I kept asking
<v Speaker 2>myself that question, and I just to this day, I
<v Speaker 2>don't really know if it was a bigfoot, but I
<v Speaker 2>feel like it now from what I've gathered, you know
<v Speaker 2>that it could be. That's pretty much it.
<v Speaker 1>Well, what a what an incredible encounter. And it seems
<v Speaker 1>like bigfoot just walks into our reality sometimes and it's
<v Speaker 1>easy to dismiss it and believe that they don't exist.
<v Speaker 1>But just like your encounter, you were questioning what you saw,
<v Speaker 1>like what the heck was this? What did I just see?
<v Speaker 1>And it happens to a lot of people. That's why
<v Speaker 1>people get into the bigfoot subject and their hook, because
<v Speaker 1>once you see something or experience something that can't be explained,
<v Speaker 1>there's no going back.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, it's like, Okay, I always kind of
<v Speaker 2>thought maybe it could be real, you know, But I
<v Speaker 2>didn't think that, you know, And I've been driving the
<v Speaker 2>roads a long time and I've seen Bobcat, I've seen
<v Speaker 2>Mountain Lion maybe one time. I mean, I'm saying a lot,
<v Speaker 2>but I've never really thought that maybe I would have
<v Speaker 2>an experience, you know, and for that to happen, it
<v Speaker 2>really conferred it just you know, I'm not sitting here
<v Speaker 2>saying I know for one hundred percent for sure it
<v Speaker 2>was a bigfoot, but it sure did. It did not
<v Speaker 2>move like a bear, and it was too big to
<v Speaker 2>be a bear. And I can literally feel it, or
<v Speaker 2>I could just see it in my mind if I
<v Speaker 2>closed my mind, it jumping from across the ditch into
<v Speaker 2>the woods. Now, I don't know if any bear would
<v Speaker 2>do that, you know, as it stood up as it
<v Speaker 2>was crouching down, you know. So yeah, it's it's it's
<v Speaker 2>puzzled me, and I will I'll just say this, I
<v Speaker 2>don't look at the woods the same dur in East
<v Speaker 2>Texas and I'm driving a night and I drive a
<v Speaker 2>lot of hours at late at night with my job. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>I don't look at the woods the same. And I'm always,
<v Speaker 2>always kind of feeling apport. I don't know, just feeling
<v Speaker 2>kind of a I don't I don't know how to
<v Speaker 2>put it. I can't put it into words. But I
<v Speaker 2>am watching the road because it changes your perception, will it,
<v Speaker 2>does you know? Oh?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah absolutely. If there is anywhere in Texas to have
<v Speaker 1>a big foot encounter, it would be East Texas. A
<v Speaker 1>majority of the reports come from that area. I'm not
<v Speaker 1>sure if you were aware of that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I've been looking into it for a while and
<v Speaker 2>I've it's just amazing the things that have that I've
<v Speaker 2>found out about the area. But I guess if you,
<v Speaker 2>if you would think about habitat, this would be the
<v Speaker 2>This would be the area, you know, for them to
<v Speaker 2>want to live, you know, because it's pretty much got
<v Speaker 2>just about everything they'd be looking for to survive well
<v Speaker 2>with the water, water tributaries, the water systems we have,
<v Speaker 2>the rivers, and I've been I feel like if they
<v Speaker 2>did exist, they would be along the rivers, you know,
<v Speaker 2>because there's there's a food source there. They're they're just
<v Speaker 2>like any other I don't know if they're creature or
<v Speaker 2>what they are, but if if in fact they did exist,
<v Speaker 2>they're probably like any other creature. They have to have water,
<v Speaker 2>food to survive, you know. So yeah, I mean it's
<v Speaker 2>just it's it's very pleasantly very crazy, great great crazy stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that would be the place though. I mean, you're
<v Speaker 1>close to Cattle Lake on the state parks and on
<v Speaker 1>East Texas. There's a lot of big pine forests there,
<v Speaker 1>a lot of lakes, a lot of waterways. Like you said,
<v Speaker 1>what do you think this creature was doing? Did you
<v Speaker 1>notice like any roadkill or anything off in the area.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't. I didn't. I didn't even I didn't see
<v Speaker 2>any road kill. It had been raining, so the dishes
<v Speaker 2>was up, the water was up in the ditch. The
<v Speaker 2>only thing I could guess if it if in fact
<v Speaker 2>that's what it was. It was down there, maybe trying
<v Speaker 2>to get some something out a little ditch or something,
<v Speaker 2>you know, as far as I could I could tell.
<v Speaker 2>Of course, it was late at night, overcast, you know,
<v Speaker 2>but I definitely did not see any road killing dame,
<v Speaker 2>which that puzzles me anymore. Maybe I thought maybe it
<v Speaker 2>was trying to grab something ha been killed, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but consumed it before you drove by.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. Yeah, it's it's uh, very very puzzling.
<v Speaker 2>I know that, Like I said, when I when I
<v Speaker 2>took my flashlight, was skinning back and forth, you know,
<v Speaker 2>the woodline and everything. But I didn't see any eye
<v Speaker 2>shine or anything like that. I did, like I said,
<v Speaker 2>when I heard the large branch break, I could have
<v Speaker 2>often got my car, got out of the fast I could,
<v Speaker 2>and I kept smelling that there was a smell it
<v Speaker 2>was and it did smell like something like an animal,
<v Speaker 2>wet animal, I guess. I guess I put it would
<v Speaker 2>or like if you ever been there, like a smelled
<v Speaker 2>like worked on a farm or something. It smelled cows
<v Speaker 2>and stuff. That's kind of what it smelled like. But
<v Speaker 2>I didn't stick around too long to find out if
<v Speaker 2>if it wanted a piece of me or anything. I
<v Speaker 2>got my car and got out of there. You know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so a real musky pungee smell. And you mentioned
<v Speaker 1>you drove past the creature about a mile or two
<v Speaker 1>and then pulled over. Did you go back to that
<v Speaker 1>same area or did you just get out a mile
<v Speaker 1>or two down the road?
<v Speaker 2>I did not get out of mile. I just kind
<v Speaker 2>of to my car. I sent in my car and
<v Speaker 2>just stared and thought, what am I? You know, I
<v Speaker 2>thought I was nuts or something. But I'm not nuts,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I'm a burt you know. So I was like, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>well I'm gonna I'm gonna chance it and pull around
<v Speaker 2>go back to where I thought where I saw it,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and like I said, little bend, it was
<v Speaker 2>like one of those those signs, those signs that tell
<v Speaker 2>you how what the steeling it is. And uh, it
<v Speaker 2>was by that, you know. So I pulled over there
<v Speaker 2>and and got the courage, walked across the box, you know,
<v Speaker 2>got across the road and start looking around, you know.
<v Speaker 2>But uh, you know, this is one or two in
<v Speaker 2>the morning. It was very light traffic. You know, this
<v Speaker 2>is October. This this is uh, it had been raining.
<v Speaker 2>It probably had rain probably an hour or two before
<v Speaker 2>that happened. I would think it was still like missing.
<v Speaker 2>I looked around to see if I saw any kind
<v Speaker 2>of on the ground, you know, kind of I sawny footprints
<v Speaker 2>or anything like that or but I didn't see anything
<v Speaker 2>like that. You know. It's strange, I don't know, but
<v Speaker 2>but it just I went. I ran that route for
<v Speaker 2>like a year or two later, and the route is
<v Speaker 2>spooky anyway. I mean there's a lot of really rural roads.
<v Speaker 2>Ninety six is a very rural route, and you have
<v Speaker 2>little towns like the Vola Warren cons But between those
<v Speaker 2>towns you have a lot of stretches of road where
<v Speaker 2>there's just anything could come across the road, and so
<v Speaker 2>you really have to be watching what you're doing. Because
<v Speaker 2>I had I had talked to a one night I
<v Speaker 2>drove through there, and I drove through a little town
<v Speaker 2>called I'd stopped in a little town of Woodville, and
<v Speaker 2>I was just talking to a I think it might
<v Speaker 2>have been a game warden or a state one of
<v Speaker 2>the state police or something, and asked him about, you know,
<v Speaker 2>deer deer collisions, if there's a lot of them. He said, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there's a lot of collisions of deer with people on
<v Speaker 2>this road. And I started asking him about a bigfoot,
<v Speaker 2>like he might think I'm nuts or drinking or something,
<v Speaker 2>you know, So I didn't I didn't ask him about that,
<v Speaker 2>but he did. But he did confirm a very dangerous
<v Speaker 2>area road. And he didn't have to tell me that
<v Speaker 2>to know that, because I drove that route for many years,
<v Speaker 2>and I could every time I could after seeing this,
<v Speaker 2>I every time I got in that area, I it
<v Speaker 2>just kept coming back to me, you know. You know
<v Speaker 2>what I'm saying. The whole thing just kept I'm constantly
<v Speaker 2>watching the road as I'm driving anyway, So for this
<v Speaker 2>to happen, it just really it changed my perception of
<v Speaker 2>these Sexus woods for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely. And you mentioned several towns. What town were
<v Speaker 1>you in exactly off of State Highway in ninety six
<v Speaker 1>when you encountered the creature?
<v Speaker 2>Uh, it was more or less h north of between
<v Speaker 2>Lumberton and Woodville Where it was? I can't, I wasn't.
<v Speaker 2>I'd say the nearest town might have been It could
<v Speaker 2>have been Worn, I think it just it was just
<v Speaker 2>between those two. Just it's right along a bend of
<v Speaker 2>a road.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. And the creature was crouched down when you were
<v Speaker 1>passing him, and then it stood up and jumped into
<v Speaker 1>the road. Can you describe the movement? Was it? Was
<v Speaker 1>it awkward?
<v Speaker 2>I would say it this as I could tell it.
<v Speaker 2>Just it went from a squatting position and leaped not
<v Speaker 2>towards the road but outside the backwards a woodline. It
<v Speaker 2>just jumped like I could see it. Just it just
<v Speaker 2>kind of it moves. Of course, I'm doing sixty six,
<v Speaker 2>so It's kind of hard to really explain the movement,
<v Speaker 2>you know, but I guess if it looked it looked
<v Speaker 2>kind of awkward as it jumped. I guess awkward would
<v Speaker 2>be a good work for it.
<v Speaker 1>Would you say a jump like a frog or like
<v Speaker 1>a basketball player?
<v Speaker 2>I would say more like a basketball player, Yeah, like
<v Speaker 2>a man would do.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, more man like. Did it have long hair?
<v Speaker 1>Short haired? Did you notice anything like that? I know
<v Speaker 1>you didn't get a good look at the face.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I glimpsed at the hair was about. I could
<v Speaker 2>tell when it. I could tell the hair was about
<v Speaker 2>if I had to guess, three or four inches.
<v Speaker 1>Long, Yeah, so definitely Harry.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, very hairy. It did not have short hairs pretty much,
<v Speaker 2>three or four inches on. If I had to take
<v Speaker 2>a guess, i'd say something like that. But I know
<v Speaker 2>that it. The only thing I could gether from its
<v Speaker 2>face was there's a I looked it up on YouTube
<v Speaker 2>and there's a video of a guy that in Colorado
<v Speaker 2>that took a picture of one looking at him in
<v Speaker 2>the window. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, and you
<v Speaker 2>could I guess anybody could find it. But this creature
<v Speaker 2>has a big, fat nose. Like a long, wide, fat nose.
<v Speaker 2>That's the only thing I could gather as it jumped
<v Speaker 2>as I drove by. And I don't know why, but
<v Speaker 2>that's the only thing I can gather. But that sort
<v Speaker 2>of looked like that. But it very very, very perplexing. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>to me.
<v Speaker 1>And what do you think they are? Where do you
<v Speaker 1>think they came from?
<v Speaker 2>Well that's the sixty four thousand dollars question. But if
<v Speaker 2>I had together, if I had to really decide what
<v Speaker 2>they might be, I feel like they probably are maybe
<v Speaker 2>a relic comonod, you know, a a maybe. Maybe I
<v Speaker 2>believe they're flesh and blood. I don't believe like what
<v Speaker 2>I've been reading some people believe they might be. You know,
<v Speaker 2>that's their own thought. If they don't believe they're flesh
<v Speaker 2>and blood, but you know, that's their own that's their
<v Speaker 2>own decision. But this thing looked flesh and to me,
<v Speaker 2>what they are that's a good question. Why they're here,
<v Speaker 2>that's a good question. Many things I've asked myself, but
<v Speaker 2>definitely one of the great mysteries for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And that's an excellent theory. Do you think
<v Speaker 1>there was more around or do you think this one
<v Speaker 1>was alone? And isolated by itself.
<v Speaker 2>I couldn't really answer that question. I really don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't hear anything else. Definitely might have been a loner,
<v Speaker 2>I think, I don't know, it might have been. But
<v Speaker 2>then again, I could not tell if it was female, male, whatever.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I just couldn't. I couldn't because I'm moving
<v Speaker 2>so fast, you know, that's the problem. I couldn't, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I just I drove by so fast, you know. God,
<v Speaker 2>for many times I thought, maybe if I've been going slower,
<v Speaker 2>what have I seen? You know? But you know, you're
<v Speaker 2>not thinking, you're just driving, you know. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. The research organization says a majority of the reports
<v Speaker 1>are roadside sightings, and I would say the same for
<v Speaker 1>sasquatch theory. A majority of the reports are people that
<v Speaker 1>are driving on the road and also people that have
<v Speaker 1>these creatures looking through their house windows when they're a
<v Speaker 1>little kid, and that seems to be a common trend.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know it. You know, I think that if
<v Speaker 2>I saw it, it was probably because maybe it was crossing,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it was using a bend to cross the
<v Speaker 2>road that would over cover and confilment for it. Probably. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I think these creatures are very I mean, from what
<v Speaker 2>I gather, they're pretty smart. They'd have to be smart
<v Speaker 2>if nobody's really ever gotten a good you know, outside
<v Speaker 2>of some certain videos on that have been published, but
<v Speaker 2>a lot of people have not gotten a lot of
<v Speaker 2>really great visuals on them, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely. Now, I feel like it would be quieter
<v Speaker 1>if it was raining, or if it had previously been raining,
<v Speaker 1>if you're out on the road, I feel like it
<v Speaker 1>would damp to the noise of the vehicle.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, true, Yeah, I believe that that could definitely be
<v Speaker 2>part of it too. You know, I know that it
<v Speaker 2>h It's just it's just so quick. The whole thing
<v Speaker 2>happened within seconds, you know what I'm saying. It just
<v Speaker 2>happened so fast.
<v Speaker 1>It's another theory of mind that October is breeding season.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe that's why it was seen on the road, because
<v Speaker 1>that's how it is with like Big Bucks. You don't
<v Speaker 1>see them all year round, and once they start chasing
<v Speaker 1>those that are in heat and they're in rut, you
<v Speaker 1>start seeing them on the side of the highways and
<v Speaker 1>doing things that they normally wouldn't do because they're solitary creatures.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I believe that if they're if they're animal flesh
<v Speaker 2>and blood, which I believe they are. They have cycles,
<v Speaker 2>they have territories, they have uh, you know, they probably
<v Speaker 2>have structure like other animals, do you know, males, females, children.
<v Speaker 2>There has to be a breeding population and that's what
<v Speaker 2>shakes me up to just thinking about that thought. Right there,
<v Speaker 2>there's a breeding populations of these things here in these woods.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, I mean I have, like I'm not
<v Speaker 2>gonna lie, I have. I believed in Bigfoot in my life.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I have seen things that I believed in that.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I've seen documentaries, but not I didn't think
<v Speaker 2>I'd ever see anything like this here in East Texas.
<v Speaker 2>It would blow my mind, you know, that I would
<v Speaker 2>actually see one, you know, but I think, well, maybe
<v Speaker 2>you know, there's people just making it up or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>you know, But what I saw, I did not make it,
<v Speaker 2>not making that. It still stays with me to right now.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, once you see it, you can't unsee it,
<v Speaker 2>you know what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>Magwell, oh yeah, absolutely. It's easy to question other people
<v Speaker 1>that have encounters, but once you see it for yourself,
<v Speaker 1>you know that it was real and that the other
<v Speaker 1>people previously who've shared encounters are most likely telling the truth.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, And I never said anything about coworkers
<v Speaker 2>and anything like that because I just kind of kept

<v Speaker 2>and I'm thinking to myself, Well, I'm generally I'm not
<v Speaker 2>a hunter, you know, that's not my thing. But uh,
<v Speaker 2>and I don't fault people who do. You know, that's
<v Speaker 2>their passion, and that's okay with me. You know. I
<v Speaker 2>feel like, if you've seen one, if science requires a
<v Speaker 2>body to confirm, then I think it's okay to take one.
<v Speaker 2>But then if you do that, you open up Pandora's box,
<v Speaker 2>because if it's confirmed, then you're going to have people
<v Speaker 2>fighting it that they don't want it out there. But
<v Speaker 2>you need something to prove that it does exist. You
<v Speaker 2>need some you need some kind of physical evidence, because
<v Speaker 2>that's first. Basically, all we've got is evidence going right.
<v Speaker 2>We don't have any heart evidence yet. We have circumstantial evidence,
<v Speaker 2>but we don't have hard evidence. So yeah, I am.
<v Speaker 2>I guess I'm pro kill, but I mean I'm not
<v Speaker 2>pro killed to destroy the whatever's out there. You know.
<v Speaker 2>And from furthermore, people go out in the woods, they
<v Speaker 2>got to be very constant of the woods. Here. We've
<v Speaker 2>got a problem that's called a faral hogs and these
<v Speaker 2>rascals will tear you up. Uh, we we have a
<v Speaker 2>lot of creepy crawleys.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like big Foot controls the hog population.
<v Speaker 2>I never thought about that, but yeah, it could be.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I mean you got to have I mean,
<v Speaker 2>you've got to have some kind of these these things
<v Speaker 2>would have to eat. You figure off, they're the eight
<v Speaker 2>foot tall. These things would have to have a lot
<v Speaker 2>of calories to sustain themselves. So they're gonna have to
<v Speaker 2>eat all the time. When you think, Miguel or what
<v Speaker 2>do you feel about that?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I feel like they would. They would definitely have
<v Speaker 1>to eat a lot of protein, a lot of calories.
<v Speaker 1>And I feel like they're constantly hunting, and that's the
<v Speaker 1>work they do throughout their life is hunt and survive.
<v Speaker 1>And it sounds like a pretty good life.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, because I feel like in wild hogs, which
<v Speaker 2>there's a prevalent of them, they're a problem. In fact,
<v Speaker 2>I think they've been classified a noose and animal. You
<v Speaker 2>can kill as many as you can forriners, you know,
<v Speaker 2>here Texas, but they're a problem nationwide, you know, But
<v Speaker 2>that would be an ample game food source probably, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I was thinking maybe when the winter months come on
<v Speaker 2>and they lose vegetation, then they've got they've got to
<v Speaker 2>sustain their food source somehow, don't you think.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, probably trying to pack on the calories before
<v Speaker 1>winter hits. But at the same time, in East Texas,
<v Speaker 1>how cold does it really even get?

<v Speaker 1>It's not consistent below freezing weather, is it?

<v Speaker 2>I'm not exaggerating. I think anybody knows down and lives

<v Speaker 2>it down the thirties or so. But it's for the
<v Speaker 2>most part a mile winter around here, you know, compared
<v Speaker 2>to other places, and probably like up north where you're at,
<v Speaker 2>you know, But yeah, it's uh, it's pretty mild, and
<v Speaker 2>it's back pretty mild right now. That knock on wood.
<v Speaker 2>That doesn't mean it won't change, you know, Texas weather

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, either way, Animals, animal patterns change according to the weather.
<v Speaker 1>The seasons, and it sounds like this thing was on
<v Speaker 1>the move and it was in its territory doing its thing,
<v Speaker 1>and it didn't expect you to come around that bend
<v Speaker 1>and it was caught off guard. And this often happens.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't make sense for a creature that doesn't want
<v Speaker 1>to be seen to be caught like that. But the research,
<v Speaker 1>the data shows that these things mess up every now
<v Speaker 1>and then.
<v Speaker 2>I had a driver, one of my fellow drivers. I
<v Speaker 2>did kind of confine him a little bit, and he
<v Speaker 2>her and she said, a few years back, she saw
<v Speaker 2>something that ran across the road near I think it
<v Speaker 2>was Franklin, Texas that looked like a hyaena. She said, wow. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>She described it as looking sort of like a hyena
<v Speaker 2>with a how a hyena would run. It ran across
<v Speaker 2>the road late at night, so she's adamant about it.
<v Speaker 1>Those things too, huh. I've seen one here in Missouri.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing,
<v Speaker 1>but people call them hell hounds. And there's also the
<v Speaker 1>ozark howler. I'm not sure if that's the same thing,
<v Speaker 1>but it's like a crypto creature that's like a mix between.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying it. It is an actual mix, but
<v Speaker 1>it looks like it like a pit bull, a wolf,
<v Speaker 1>German shepherd, and yeah, hyena, it's kind of weird. Did
<v Speaker 1>she mention like a like a mane around the neck,
<v Speaker 1>like a like the hair being long around the neck.
<v Speaker 2>Asked her, kind of what's what you know? Because this
<v Speaker 2>was years before I even saw what I saw, you know,
<v Speaker 2>And and we were just talking in the break room
<v Speaker 2>at my job, and she said I saw some kind
<v Speaker 2>of funny other night, and we didn't mean funny, you know. Well,
<v Speaker 2>so I ran across off the road in front of me.
<v Speaker 2>They looked like a hyena. The hyena, I said, some
<v Speaker 2>things in East Texas. She goes, no, this thing was
<v Speaker 2>running across. This thing rained from right to left across
<v Speaker 2>the road, looked like a hyena and had fur all
<v Speaker 2>over his body. And I was like, wow, that's interesting.
<v Speaker 2>I said, did you didn't know? Are you sure you
<v Speaker 2>didn't see a deer or w No, this was a hyena.
<v Speaker 2>It looked like a hyena. And I'm like, well, how
<v Speaker 2>can that be? I won't call her a liar, And
<v Speaker 2>I was just saying, she goes, the best as I
<v Speaker 2>could describe it was hyena and then I started thinking,
<v Speaker 2>there are things we don't know, you know. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I looked up Franklin, Texas is a very remote area. Franklin,
<v Speaker 2>Franklin in that area is a very remote areas. I
<v Speaker 2>would say central Texas more or less. But yeah, she
<v Speaker 2>was adamant she saw a hyena.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. And do you have any other encounters or experiences
<v Speaker 1>that you'd like to share?
<v Speaker 2>Personally? I don't have any, but I have talked to people,
<v Speaker 2>you know, because ever since I s I can ask
<v Speaker 2>some people, you know, around if they've seen anything, and
<v Speaker 2>I have. I've had some people tell me that they've
<v Speaker 2>seen things they can't explain. I've seen. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>This is not big for it related. If you want
<v Speaker 2>to hear it, I can tell you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>I was driving along County Road one time. I had
<v Speaker 2>a route that went up towards Paris, Texas, and I
<v Speaker 2>was north of Sulfur Springs and I'm driving across a
<v Speaker 2>I'm just kind of getting by, getting around there by
<v Speaker 2>eleven thirty at night, you know, and it's clear night.
<v Speaker 2>I look over in the in the in the pasture
<v Speaker 2>and there's a drone and I'm a literal drone hovering
<v Speaker 2>about thirty feet in the air in the middle of
<v Speaker 2>the pasture. And this is probably three, four or five
<v Speaker 2>years ago. This is this is like a drone. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know where it came from or what it was,
<v Speaker 2>but it's just bleink and blue, red and white lights
<v Speaker 2>about thirty yards up in the air. Forty yards up
<v Speaker 2>in the airs. I drove by and I did not
<v Speaker 2>go back, but I said, I don't know anybody who's
<v Speaker 2>out there operating a drone at eleven thirty at night,
<v Speaker 2>you know what's worth. It was one of those crazy nights,
<v Speaker 2>crazy things I've seen.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, absolutely, it's something to make note of for sure.
<v Speaker 1>And yeah, I believe you. You encountered this unknown creature
<v Speaker 1>on the side of the highway and it sounds like
<v Speaker 1>a sasquatch. And there's other cryptids out there, but from
<v Speaker 1>the description, it sounds like that's what it was.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, crazy, As as crazy as it may sounds, I
<v Speaker 2>cannot put it. And then he adthing else that could
<v Speaker 2>be because I do know that I talked to a
<v Speaker 2>game more than a couple of weeks ago, just because
<v Speaker 2>he was in a store. I was a store. I asked,
<v Speaker 2>and I asked, hi, about beefoo about it. Just asked
<v Speaker 2>him if we have bears, and he said that we've
<v Speaker 2>got bears coming back, were having bears now, you know,
<v Speaker 2>but we have bear we have do have reporting the
<v Speaker 2>sightings of black bears on the rise here in East
<v Speaker 2>Texas well.
<v Speaker 1>He told me, Yeah, it makes sense. I mean areas
<v Speaker 1>that have sasquatch should be able to support a black
<v Speaker 1>bear population.
<v Speaker 2>Now. I know you guys up there in Missouri, y'all
<v Speaker 2>probably do have your healthy population of black bear, don't y'all.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, yeah, they're around, especially in southern Missouri.
<v Speaker 2>Thinking and you have a thing called the Missouri Monster.
<v Speaker 2>I fred up. They call it momo, I think is
<v Speaker 2>what it is. And momo is short for momo.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's just another word for bigfoot. And the momo
<v Speaker 1>originated out of Louisiana, Missouri. And yeah, it's definitely a thing.
