<v Speaker 1>Bit, it's the internet. You're busy. Let's do this for
<v Speaker 1>January sixteenth, twenty twenty five. For the next hour or so,
<v Speaker 1>let me help you sort through the world of gaming
<v Speaker 1>on Game Miss Morning's Live with me Jeff Grubb Today,
<v Speaker 1>I'm getting pretty sick of waiting. When is Nintendo going
<v Speaker 1>to reveal the Switch three? First? Please join me and
<v Speaker 1>welcoming today's co host, the Game Miss Mornings. It's jan Ahoa, Jan,
<v Speaker 1>how are you doing?
<v Speaker 2>I too, have secretly been switching my arms out to
<v Speaker 2>be powered and attached to myself by magnets.
<v Speaker 1>That's it's the future, magnets of the future. I've heard.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, my hands will also possibly function as mice as well.
<v Speaker 2>Not computer mice, no, shoot, mice mice.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah of course. Yeah. Just run around eating all your
<v Speaker 1>peanut butter. A little bastards, just making little holes in
<v Speaker 1>the wall.
<v Speaker 2>It's great.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they're doing their thing. Uh yeah, switch to got
<v Speaker 1>an ass. We're going to talk about that. It's, you know,
<v Speaker 1>big news day we don't have. I mean, we talked
<v Speaker 1>about all this stuff before. That's a thing that was
<v Speaker 1>my original intro is it's all, Hey, we got the
<v Speaker 1>new info on the switch and it's all the same
<v Speaker 1>as the old info. But hey, we got we'll talk
<v Speaker 1>about quite a bit of the switch to everybody. I
<v Speaker 1>will make Jan do it. But I don't know how
<v Speaker 1>are you doing?
<v Speaker 2>I'm doing okay, Grub. I have been spending a couple
<v Speaker 2>of days at the SF office, a new studio in
<v Speaker 2>the works.
<v Speaker 1>How are things coming together over there?
<v Speaker 2>We need so many XLR cables, Grub.
<v Speaker 1>Like, I got one around here, I'll send it to you.
<v Speaker 2>And then there was the conversation between John Luke, Kurt
<v Speaker 2>and Divina, Max Blumenthal, Jake Decker and I of should
<v Speaker 2>we drill a hole in the wall? Can we? Can
<v Speaker 2>we drill a hole in the wall? Allowed to do that?
<v Speaker 1>Sorry? I heard I'm plugging USB noise, But I think
<v Speaker 1>I'm still okay here, I think if everyone can still
<v Speaker 1>hear me? Okay, good? Uh? Yeah? So wait did the
<v Speaker 1>did the hole get drilled?
<v Speaker 2>We decided we should probably wait for the office manager
<v Speaker 2>to come in and hire someone to do it.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, sure, let it be a union job. I get it. Yeah. Uh.
<v Speaker 2>It's also it's very refreshing to have someone like John
<v Speaker 2>Luke around because John Luke is exponentially so much more
<v Speaker 2>of an organized producer than I will ever be.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I could tell. It's like, oh, they got a
<v Speaker 1>lot going on up there. They seem to have it
<v Speaker 1>all just up in their head, ready to go. They
<v Speaker 1>had answers to questions. It's crazy.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, uh, it's it's it's similar to working with M
<v Speaker 2>where it's like, wow, yeah, you're so organized. How I
<v Speaker 2>want to get like you, but I will never be
<v Speaker 2>able to. So I'll just fill in the blanks where
<v Speaker 2>you need Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't. I don't need you to be that way.
<v Speaker 1>Our scattershot of oach is working for us. I have
<v Speaker 1>no way of measuring that. I don't know. It does
<v Speaker 1>seem to be I'm happy, I know that much. But
<v Speaker 1>then when we do step in there, like hey, let's
<v Speaker 1>let's work with these people, it's like, oh, okay, that's
<v Speaker 1>cool too, that's fine. Is it okay? If we're still
<v Speaker 1>messy bitches, which we will be, you know.
<v Speaker 2>You know, for what it's worth. I think everyone else
<v Speaker 2>that we work with outside of the core GB team,
<v Speaker 2>he's incredibly organized and well prepared now that I think
<v Speaker 2>about it, And it's just us.
<v Speaker 1>It's just us, it really is. And they're like all
<v Speaker 1>right now you have to go work with the Giant
<v Speaker 1>Bomb people. It's like, oh, we're sorry, We're sorry. We're
<v Speaker 1>like this, well, try to change. It's not gonna happen,
<v Speaker 1>but we'll try.
<v Speaker 2>It's like it's like the group projects you get put
<v Speaker 2>in and you gotta go work with like those kids.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah they're there now were those kids? All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>explain what we do here most weekdays, I, Jeff Grubb,
<v Speaker 1>will help you piece your gaming life back together. That
<v Speaker 1>includes breaking news and maybe even some of our own
<v Speaker 1>original reporting. For all these topics, I'll get the input
<v Speaker 1>of a bona fide expert who will make me look smart.
<v Speaker 1>If you are watching live on Twitch welcome. You can
<v Speaker 1>always listen to the show later on podcast feeds by
<v Speaker 1>searching for game Mes Mornings, or find the RSS on
<v Speaker 1>giant bomb dot com. You can also catch the show
<v Speaker 1>later with chapters in timestamps on YouTube. Hello YouTube. All right,
<v Speaker 1>we have a lot to get into, so let's start
<v Speaker 1>the morning mess with switch to officially revealed by Nintendo.
<v Speaker 1>This comes from Ethan Gotch and Kenneth Sheppard at Kotaku.
<v Speaker 1>After months of fans speculation and an outpouring of alleged leaks,
<v Speaker 1>we got to gaze upon the actual switch To. Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>announced the new gaming console with a short YouTube video
<v Speaker 1>showcasing the new hardware, which includes magnetic joy Con controllers,
<v Speaker 1>a bigger screen, and backwards compatibility with original Switch game.
<v Speaker 1>It also gave fans their first glimpse at one of
<v Speaker 1>the games that is presumably a launch game for the system,
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kart nine or ten, who knows what going to
<v Speaker 1>call up? We'll get to that here in a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, this two and a half minute video jan
<v Speaker 1>mostly focused on the hardware, as we suspected, as we've
<v Speaker 1>been hearing from leaks, and yeah, it was a lot
<v Speaker 1>of the stuff that we had seen previously. But I'm
<v Speaker 1>still excited. How about you.
<v Speaker 2>I'm very excited. I think, if anything, I am more
<v Speaker 2>excited for Nintendo to finally finally acknowledge that the switch
<v Speaker 2>To exists. Yes, and they've shown off some things. They've
<v Speaker 2>definitely teased some functionality with a switch To. But now
<v Speaker 2>we can just speculate and cause more rumors now that
<v Speaker 2>the switch To is actually out, we don't have to
<v Speaker 2>have rumors about the switch To. We can create more
<v Speaker 2>from here.
<v Speaker 1>Exactly we could do, and now we can just do
<v Speaker 1>our own make up whatever we want at this point, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think that it is overall exactly what people were
<v Speaker 1>would have asked Nintendo to do, And I think at
<v Speaker 1>the same time, it's like, you know, you always want
<v Speaker 1>to be a little bit surprised. The surprise is, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it looks like the joycns are going to be a
<v Speaker 1>mouse things like that, and that is, I guess exciting,
<v Speaker 1>but we really that needs to be paired up with
<v Speaker 1>games and showcasing exactly what context you'll be using that
<v Speaker 1>stuff in. But overall, like the basics of okay, it
<v Speaker 1>does look like the joy con now slide into the
<v Speaker 1>side of the switch and then connect with a magnet,
<v Speaker 1>and apparently like it's like you've got to hit that
<v Speaker 1>button to pull it out now, and when you do that,
<v Speaker 1>it's like that's going to disengage the magnets somehow. So
<v Speaker 1>my hope is it's like whenning, before you do that,
<v Speaker 1>it's just locked in there very tightly. And I just
<v Speaker 1>want this thing to feel like a contiguous piece of hardware,
<v Speaker 1>which is maybe my biggest complaint about the hardware of
<v Speaker 1>the switch. So like throughout this entire generation, So I'm
<v Speaker 1>pretty excited about that alone, and the fact that bigger
<v Speaker 1>screen and it just looks sleek. Im. I'm happy with it,
<v Speaker 1>how about you?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I was. I'm still kind of feeling out the
<v Speaker 2>primarily black design, but I do like that the original
<v Speaker 2>switch joy con color accents are in there, the blue
<v Speaker 2>and red. I'm digging it a lot. I like the
<v Speaker 2>addition of another USB C port on top and on bottom,
<v Speaker 2>so you could who knows what moving forward with a switch,
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, I think that bigger screen is going to
<v Speaker 2>do it for me. Grub. Unfortunately, it's not going to
<v Speaker 2>be o Let at launch.
<v Speaker 1>Correct, No, it's not. And I was just playing the
<v Speaker 1>Switch last night and I'm like, man, this OLED screen
<v Speaker 1>still looks so damn good that that is going to
<v Speaker 1>be a little bit of of a frustration and a disappointment,
<v Speaker 1>you know. They they switched to a pretty good LCD
<v Speaker 1>screen halfway through the life of the Switch, and I
<v Speaker 1>thought it was pretty decent. As long as they can
<v Speaker 1>have a really good LCD in there, I will still
<v Speaker 1>be playing this thing and be mostly okay. But as
<v Speaker 1>soon as I get an o let as an option,
<v Speaker 1>I will hop on that. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, gosh, this, it looks very sleek. I'm very excited
<v Speaker 2>for this. I feel like since the Nintendo has had
<v Speaker 2>plenty of time at this point to kind of build
<v Speaker 2>up materials and get stuff properly lined up, since this
<v Speaker 2>was rumored to drop last year, I'm excited for the
<v Speaker 2>weeks to months and months to come in terms of
<v Speaker 2>you know, games actually from Nintendo, third party games perhaps,
<v Speaker 2>and I just want to see the weird stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I want to see the weird stuff absolutely. You know.
<v Speaker 1>Good point is say, oh, this was supposed to come
<v Speaker 1>out last year, but I mean even before that, like
<v Speaker 1>this is clearly sort of an extension of what was
<v Speaker 1>once going to be the Switch Pro. Right, those rumors
<v Speaker 1>didn't come out of nowhere. That was actually happening. Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>pulled the plug on that for whatever reason, and they
<v Speaker 1>didn't scrap all that work. They're like, Okay, let's take
<v Speaker 1>what we have with the switch Pro. Let's give it
<v Speaker 1>a lot more and make that the switch too. So
<v Speaker 1>presumably they've had a lot of time to think about
<v Speaker 1>what they wanted to be on this device in whatever
<v Speaker 1>way when it was once the Switch Pro, and then
<v Speaker 1>you know, having to amplify all that work once it's like,
<v Speaker 1>well now it's a switch too. It's that stuff needs
<v Speaker 1>to be even bigger. But they've had a lot of time, basically,
<v Speaker 1>is what I'm saying to get ready for this system.
<v Speaker 1>Does that give you fake that the first year or
<v Speaker 1>so is going to be pretty strong for the switch
<v Speaker 1>to I think so.
<v Speaker 2>I think even starting this revealed trailer with what is
<v Speaker 2>and we'll talk about it soon, but perhaps a new
<v Speaker 2>Mario Kart is a strong sign because that might mean
<v Speaker 2>that they have bigger titles in their back pocket, potentially
<v Speaker 2>a new three D Mario. Who knows what else they
<v Speaker 2>could have, maybe a new Donkey Kong based off of
<v Speaker 2>some stuff in that teaser trailer from this morning. Yeah, Greb,
<v Speaker 2>it's exciting. Also, I feel like they wouldn't tease the
<v Speaker 2>possibility of the joy Cons being able to be used
<v Speaker 2>as mice if they didn't have a weird plan for that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I mean, there's definitely going to be at least
<v Speaker 1>two weird games to take advantage of that. So let's
<v Speaker 1>get to all that here in time before we move
<v Speaker 1>on to Mario Kart switch to name. That's the plan.
<v Speaker 1>You know, this thing gets announced, and as with all things,
<v Speaker 1>you know, people focus on the stuff that like maybe
<v Speaker 1>just rubs them a little bit the wrong way. I
<v Speaker 1>think one of the major things I've seen is people say, oh,
<v Speaker 1>switch to. That's very un Nintendo to just put a
<v Speaker 1>two on there. But I think they're kind of past
<v Speaker 1>that point. And to me, it's like, well it is.
<v Speaker 1>To me, it does remind me of classic Nintendo, because
<v Speaker 1>what does Nintendo do more than anything else? They copy
<v Speaker 1>Apple a lot of times. I know a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people copy Nintendo, but Nintendo's like, what's Apple doing? Maybe
<v Speaker 1>we'll kind of do the same thing there, So we'll
<v Speaker 1>put a you know, the I in the Nintendo DS
<v Speaker 1>and now it's the Nintendo DS I and that should
<v Speaker 1>indicate that there it's more Internet capable and has an
<v Speaker 1>e shop or whatever. And I think just numbering their
<v Speaker 1>very popular portable electronic device just the way that Apple
<v Speaker 1>does is very in line with with how how Nintendo operates.
<v Speaker 1>But I've accepted this. I've you know, we've heard for
<v Speaker 1>a while it's probably gonna be switched to. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>in my head, well, I wasn't even thinking about another name,
<v Speaker 1>So when that was confirmed, it didn't even phase me.
<v Speaker 1>But some people I think we're still holding out hit
<v Speaker 1>like hope for like Super Nintendo Switch Switch. Does that
<v Speaker 1>bother you at all? Ah, doesn't really bother me. A
<v Speaker 1>little bummed out, I sure, if anything, but it makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>And the unfortunate part is that it really does paint
<v Speaker 1>the state of the world that maybe Super Switch or
<v Speaker 1>a different name would be too confusing, so Nintendo thought
<v Speaker 1>it'd be best to just slap a big ol' two
<v Speaker 1>on it. Yeah. My head was always ah, well, no
<v Speaker 1>Super Nintendo Switch. People just understand because the Super Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>and now it's like, I guess that was thirty years
<v Speaker 1>ago now, so maybe it's not like and of course
<v Speaker 1>it makes sense to me, but for a new generation
<v Speaker 1>that they're trying to reach, they're gonna be like Super
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch, is this like the we you and they
<v Speaker 1>want to avoid that if at all possible. All right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kart nine teased for switch to This is from
<v Speaker 1>Alanta Haggs at Nintendo Life. Folks. The Nintendo Switch too
<v Speaker 1>has officially been revealed, and alongside that we also get
<v Speaker 1>we also know we're getting a brand new Mario Kart.
<v Speaker 1>We probably could have predicted that, of course, and presumably
<v Speaker 1>this is Mario Kart nine, although that's not confirmed yet,
<v Speaker 1>but we did get a little bit of footage during
<v Speaker 1>today's switch to reveal video. It's only a glimpse, but
<v Speaker 1>you can clearly see the graphical updates on display. I'll say, like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, it looked a lot like Mario Kart eight.
<v Speaker 1>To me, it doesn't look that different. Listen, Mario Cart
<v Speaker 1>eight already looked fantastic on the Wii.
<v Speaker 2>You like it?
<v Speaker 1>Just yeah, the art was off the charts. I thought
<v Speaker 1>it was fantastic. So there's not like a lot of
<v Speaker 1>like headroom for them to grow in that direction. I
<v Speaker 1>guess improved textures things like that, although that wasn't super
<v Speaker 1>noticeably noticeable to me in the video. But I love
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kart. I'll take a new Mario Kart. I know
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo does consider Mario Kart two or to be nine,
<v Speaker 1>so maybe this they will actually call this ten or
<v Speaker 1>give it a different name. There were, yes, there were
<v Speaker 1>some changes in there. Let's see. Here we have the
<v Speaker 1>other story here from Andy Robinson to VGC switch tos,
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kart appears to be hiding a big series change.
<v Speaker 1>He points out here that Nintendo seemingly revealed it blah
<v Speaker 1>blah blah. Perhaps the most significant change was hiding in
<v Speaker 1>playing sight. In the footage, fifteen characters can be seen
<v Speaker 1>on screen at once, heavily suggesting that the Mario Kart
<v Speaker 1>nine could expand the number of simultaneous players per race
<v Speaker 1>to more than Mario Kart eight Deluxe's twelve. Significantly, the
<v Speaker 1>footage could suggest Nintendo to expand the player count even
<v Speaker 1>higher than that, because if you count the number of
<v Speaker 1>grid spaces shown at the start of the check start
<v Speaker 1>of the track, they have room for twenty four racers.
<v Speaker 1>So Mario Cart eight Deluxe, you know, twelve racers at
<v Speaker 1>one time. This is saying twenty four. Yeah, that is
<v Speaker 1>the kind of thing that you could do with a
<v Speaker 1>little bit more power, especially when you're like not trying
<v Speaker 1>to go full four K one hundred and twenty frames
<v Speaker 1>per second. You have a headroom for that sort of thing.
<v Speaker 1>So that doesn't surprise me too much. In fact, it's
<v Speaker 1>like we talked about that in the in our talkover.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, yeah, okay, but I guess that technically would
<v Speaker 1>be a pretty bit series change.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think it's a I appreciate everyone analyzing the
<v Speaker 2>graphical fidelity that we've been shown so far, even with
<v Speaker 2>that little Mario Kart tidbit. But I don't really care
<v Speaker 2>about that, greb. It's going to look okay. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>play this handheld. It's gonna look fine. I just worry
<v Speaker 2>about the actual games. In adding, like or upping the
<v Speaker 2>number of racers to twenty four is gonna be wild.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like they're gonna have to super smash Brothers
<v Speaker 2>of II the roster perhaps to maybe throw in a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of or miscellaneous Nintendo characters, even miscellaneous Mario characters,
<v Speaker 2>even to pad out that roster to fill up so
<v Speaker 2>you can have a bunch of different racers.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, you're right, and that's a good point.
<v Speaker 1>So you know, they had a lot of characters that
<v Speaker 1>you could play as in Mario Kartiate Deluxe when it
<v Speaker 1>was all said and done, all from the Mario univer
<v Speaker 1>But I think my expectation would be, like you kind
<v Speaker 1>of start with pretty close to that roster for this,
<v Speaker 1>and then if you want to expand, where do you
<v Speaker 1>go from there? And of course they could bring in
<v Speaker 1>all kinds of different enemies and things like that, but
<v Speaker 1>players would be more excited about expanding out into the
<v Speaker 1>Super Smash Brothers roster style and having characters from other games.
<v Speaker 1>They did some of that in Mario Kart eight. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Zelda was there, I'm sorry, Link was there, Splatoon, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>a handful of other things like that. I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>could you play Could you race as an animal crossing villager?
<v Speaker 1>Because they had the level, but I don't think you
<v Speaker 1>could race as a villager. But yeah, they had stuff
<v Speaker 1>along those lines. But I can't tell if this one's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be that but a little bit more or that,
<v Speaker 1>if they will go fully in that direction. The suggestion here,
<v Speaker 1>based on the trailer so far is now this is
<v Speaker 1>still Mario Kart, not Smash Brother's KRT, because it is
<v Speaker 1>fifteen different characters from the Nintendo universe. As far as
<v Speaker 1>like what the you know game itself, it looks like
<v Speaker 1>it doesn't look like Double Dash, it doesn't you know,
<v Speaker 1>the gameplay looks you know, hey, you're in a cart,
<v Speaker 1>some people are on a bike, things along those lines.
<v Speaker 1>If they are racing on a track that looks inspired
<v Speaker 1>by Route sixty six, but with like the Mario Kart
<v Speaker 1>racing aesthetic, something they've had as well for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. It's it's hard to tell exactly how
<v Speaker 1>like what is gonna be the gimmick with this one?
<v Speaker 1>And it might be just more Mario cart eight and
<v Speaker 1>I'm okay with that, but wondering Nintendo will try to
<v Speaker 1>be a little bit more creative. It's hard to tell
<v Speaker 1>from this small snippet of footage.
<v Speaker 2>Right, We're gonna go off road grub.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, listen, if they had like a rally race in there,
<v Speaker 1>I would I'd be pretty okay with that. Villagerbel We're
<v Speaker 1>into eight DeLux, thank you, Sean.
<v Speaker 2>H Okay. Yeah, instead of having gliders, we're just gonna
<v Speaker 2>go full mud runner and then the wheels are is
<v Speaker 2>gonna get Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Big muddy wheels. That's what I want. Let Donkey Kongo
<v Speaker 1>get out stuck out there in the wood.
<v Speaker 2>I know that we were all just speculating, but I do.
<v Speaker 2>I am interested in Sean's idea that what if there
<v Speaker 2>are pit stops?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, like even like a different mode like
<v Speaker 1>that is more technical in terms of like you have
<v Speaker 1>to think strategically about how you're deploying your racers or
<v Speaker 1>the carts they have or parts things like that that
<v Speaker 1>could be fun. I you know, I think if I
<v Speaker 1>were in charge of the Mario Kart franchise and they're like,
<v Speaker 1>you have to follow up Mario Kart eight Deluxe other
<v Speaker 1>than okay, expand into the Smash Brothers stuff and have
<v Speaker 1>a characters from other games. I think my big idea
<v Speaker 1>would be make the single player mode a Mario RPG
<v Speaker 1>style thing. Make it like you know, Mario Golf on
<v Speaker 1>game Boy Color something like that. Have it be a
<v Speaker 1>story mode where you are racing in a Grand Prix
<v Speaker 1>overtime and you can upgrade your character and upgrade your kart,
<v Speaker 1>and your team can like get improved so your pit
<v Speaker 1>stops can go faster. I think that would be pretty neat.
<v Speaker 2>What if we have I know everyone loved weapon degradation,
<v Speaker 2>that's a good idea.
<v Speaker 1>Cart decord refigradation. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Tires Yeah, the more you drift, the more you were
<v Speaker 2>wearing your tires out.
<v Speaker 1>I actually love that I did. That would be awesome.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, actually seeing them break down. Please do that, Nintendo.
<v Speaker 1>Mostly just like I could see people freak out. All right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we'll get more from Hario Kart here pretty soon and
<v Speaker 1>all this stuff. You know, let's actually jump to that
<v Speaker 1>story real quick. Nintendo will hold a switch To Direct
<v Speaker 1>presentation in April. This is from Ali Reynolds at Nintendo Life.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo has announced that it will host a Nintendo Direct
<v Speaker 1>presentation focused on the upcoming switch To on Wednesday, the
<v Speaker 1>second of April twenty twenty five. Details on specific timing
<v Speaker 1>will be announced at a later date. They're also going
<v Speaker 1>to have a hands on tour with the switch To
<v Speaker 1>going around the world. It'll be in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Toronto.
<v Speaker 1>There are cities throughout Europe, Oceania, and Asia that will
<v Speaker 1>also have the tour sometime between April and let's see
<v Speaker 1>it goes through May. Got an soul Rhea goes through June,
<v Speaker 1>but that could always be an example of maybe the
<v Speaker 1>system comes out and then comes out later in South Korea.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, okay, so April second we get more information.
<v Speaker 1>Do you feel like we are on radio silence until then?
<v Speaker 2>No, I think everyone is freaking out a little bit
<v Speaker 2>too much. That were not that it's going to be
<v Speaker 2>an absolute drought from Nintendo. I feel like there's going
<v Speaker 2>to be a small, small drip feed as we get
<v Speaker 2>to April second. Yeah, they're going to release logos, small titbits,
<v Speaker 2>more little teases over the course of time. There's absolutely
<v Speaker 2>no way that they're going to be radio silent from
<v Speaker 2>now January sixteenth all the way to April.
<v Speaker 1>Second. Yeah, the original rumors were that there would be
<v Speaker 1>a follow up direct in February about switch To. Now
<v Speaker 1>it's sounding like that February direct that we were hearing
<v Speaker 1>about something that I had heard about as well, well,
<v Speaker 1>that might be focused on Switch one game still because
<v Speaker 1>they still got a few things to clean up there.
<v Speaker 1>There was just a like a post on the Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>switch e shop that like it's like, hey, upcoming Switch
<v Speaker 1>one games and METROI Prime four beyond right Beyond was
<v Speaker 1>focused heavily in that sort of thing. So they got like,
<v Speaker 1>all right, we got some things we have to do
<v Speaker 1>with the switch one. Still sounds like they're going to
<v Speaker 1>do that in February kind of settle all of that
<v Speaker 1>business and then set themselves off up to like talk
<v Speaker 1>deeply about the switch to in April. But like you know,
<v Speaker 1>that switch direct that is focused on Switch one games
<v Speaker 1>in February, while they say, hey, don't expect anything can
<v Speaker 1>switch to, A couple of those games might be like
<v Speaker 1>and hey, this might work on or you know, all
<v Speaker 1>these games will work on your switch to and some
<v Speaker 1>of them might have improvements, and there will be like
<v Speaker 1>tidbits like that, and then they'll probably be doing interviews
<v Speaker 1>here there between now and then where they have to
<v Speaker 1>answer some of those questions to a certain degree, and
<v Speaker 1>because of that, they'll be ready to talk about a
<v Speaker 1>few more things. But like you know, price and pre
<v Speaker 1>order information. Now it feels like, you know, an actual
<v Speaker 1>release date. Does feel like we're gonna be waiting in
<v Speaker 1>April for that sort of information. So then that you know,
<v Speaker 1>jan then that begs the question when are we getting
<v Speaker 1>this thing?
<v Speaker 2>Gosh, okay, April is when they're going to have the direct?
<v Speaker 2>You think August?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so you know, I'll give people a hint at
<v Speaker 1>the or the teas at the poll that we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have from today's show, which is like when do you
<v Speaker 1>expect to switch to to release and the options that
<v Speaker 1>gave here April may, summer fall, So yeah, I mean
<v Speaker 1>I think late summer, early fall is like if it's
<v Speaker 1>not if it's not April, which I feel like it
<v Speaker 1>would be pretty rough to like have the direct and
<v Speaker 1>then have the thing go on sale that same month,
<v Speaker 1>but maybe late that month. I guess it's not impossible,
<v Speaker 1>So it's like, Okay, then maybe May, and then if
<v Speaker 1>it's not May, the idea of it coming out in
<v Speaker 1>June or July, and you know, the height of summer
<v Speaker 1>seems very unlikely. Now August still very summary, but you
<v Speaker 1>get on the other side of that of August late,
<v Speaker 1>I guess like you're basically into fall, people are thinking
<v Speaker 1>about going back to school, things like that. I could
<v Speaker 1>see August September as a possible release zone.
<v Speaker 2>I think I'm in that camp of either very late
<v Speaker 2>April early May, they're gonna skip the summer and then
<v Speaker 2>go May probably release in the fall. The fact that
<v Speaker 2>some of these Nintendo Switch To Experience events worldwide are
<v Speaker 2>going to stretch into the summer YEP, makes me believe that,
<v Speaker 2>all right, they're going to Geurope for a fall release.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the like just as an example, the Tokyo tour
<v Speaker 1>for the Switch To begins on April twenty sixth, So like,
<v Speaker 1>a late April release just seems off the table very likely.
<v Speaker 1>That that doesn't mean that that's not a one to
<v Speaker 1>one thing, but to me, it suggests that it's it's unlikely.
<v Speaker 1>So and you know, when we start thinking about it, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>the metrop T four, maybe they are going to be
<v Speaker 1>positioning that as primarily primarily a switch one game, and
<v Speaker 1>maybe they do want to just like, okay, let's we
<v Speaker 1>have Donkey Kong. Now, we will have Metro Prime four
<v Speaker 1>in March or April maybe, and then we'll talk about
<v Speaker 1>switch to around that time to tell people hear some
<v Speaker 1>improvements you can expect or whatever, if that's if such
<v Speaker 1>a thing as possible through the switch to backwards compatibility,
<v Speaker 1>and then we'll give you the price. Then let you
<v Speaker 1>pre order it, and you're going to have the thing
<v Speaker 1>in your hands later later this you know, very late summer,
<v Speaker 1>early fall. That sounds like a plausible uh uh sort
<v Speaker 1>of timeline, although you know, who knows at this point
<v Speaker 1>because a few weeks ago, through throughout the past couple
<v Speaker 1>of weeks, it's like this thing could be out in April,
<v Speaker 1>and I fully bought into that. I was really hopeful.
<v Speaker 1>Now not so much.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, if if today would have been like a longer
<v Speaker 2>direct that is planned for April, then I would have
<v Speaker 2>assumed that the switch would have dropped in April, ye
<v Speaker 2>versus where we're at now exactly.
<v Speaker 1>Yes. And you know, even if like today was the
<v Speaker 1>reveal video and there was like, uh something next month
<v Speaker 1>February that like that, if that direct was going to
<v Speaker 1>be uh focused on the switch to it's like oky, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they're setting themselves up to have something two months later
<v Speaker 1>ready to launch. We go two months out from April.
<v Speaker 1>That's that's where it's like, it's probably just going to
<v Speaker 1>go the other side of the summer and to end
<v Speaker 1>up in the fall. Okay, well then price, jan what
<v Speaker 1>would you pay for this thing?
<v Speaker 2>Four or five hundred? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I think I think they'll probably end up settling in
<v Speaker 1>around four hundred. You know, they always want to charge
<v Speaker 1>as much as theyn get away with, but I think
<v Speaker 1>they recognize that pricing is a tricky thing with a
<v Speaker 1>device like this in this moment where people are kind
<v Speaker 1>of overly sensitive to companies trying to get away with
<v Speaker 1>as much as they can possibly get away with. And
<v Speaker 1>so if you go to five hundred for this and
<v Speaker 1>it's the same price as you know, the when the
<v Speaker 1>PS five launched and Xbox Series X launched, that's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be a tough l and people will notice that four
<v Speaker 1>hundred you can they can I think pretty easily get
<v Speaker 1>away with four hundred, especially when you can expect an
<v Speaker 1>O lead maybe an O lead with like extra storage
<v Speaker 1>at some point to come at four to fifty. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>that's almost five hundred dollars as well. So I think
<v Speaker 1>four hundred is at what we end up paying for
<v Speaker 1>this device.
<v Speaker 2>Let's split the difference then four to fifty.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah for four two ninety nine. There you go, just
<v Speaker 1>a random number right there between. There we go. All right,
<v Speaker 1>let's see there's some more tidbits here. Nintendo did say
<v Speaker 1>certain Switch games won't run on Switch Too, but what
<v Speaker 1>does it mean? This comes from Chriscoing at VGC. Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>has reiterated the Switch Too will be backward compatible with
<v Speaker 1>existing Switch games, but warned that not every game will
<v Speaker 1>be fully playable on its new console. Chris here goes
<v Speaker 1>on to speculate what that could exactly mean. Of course,
<v Speaker 1>people hear that not every game is gonna work. What
<v Speaker 1>is that? Does that mean? Like some games just can't
<v Speaker 1>function because they are too much for the switch to
<v Speaker 1>Is it using software melation? Is it gonna break? And
<v Speaker 1>it's like that's very unlikely the case. What they're probably
<v Speaker 1>saying here is. Hey, the joy Con two is too
<v Speaker 1>big to fit in Nintendo Labbo like that that sort
<v Speaker 1>of thing, because it's a bigger device. The you know,
<v Speaker 1>the joy Con had to slide into the piano thing
<v Speaker 1>for it to work. And not only that, the piano
<v Speaker 1>thing had to use the IR camera on the bottom
<v Speaker 1>of the right Joycon so you could see what buttons
<v Speaker 1>you were pressing. Total function as well. It wasn't the
<v Speaker 1>only game to use the IR camera. So it's probably
<v Speaker 1>those two things in conjunction that's going to keep just
<v Speaker 1>a small handful of games from working on the switch
<v Speaker 1>to right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, ring fit as well, like the Pilates ring if
<v Speaker 2>I recall correctly, you had to slot the joy Con in.
<v Speaker 2>Unless they, I don't know, make a new ring or
<v Speaker 2>a new ring fit game. Perhaps they have Probably this
<v Speaker 2>is one two switch rely on the IR camera.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, for one to switch, they had the sandwich eating thing.
<v Speaker 1>There was probably other stuff. Actually, I have one to Switch.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think I've ever played.
<v Speaker 2>It, so we should do that at Summer Game Festival. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there we go, Milk the Cat Final farewell One to Switch.
<v Speaker 1>The one two Switch machine is now going to go
<v Speaker 1>into the nights sleep now sweet prints. Yeah, I think
<v Speaker 1>it's probably as simple as that, not as scary as
<v Speaker 1>some people were thinking. And and hey, you know, Chris
<v Speaker 1>did say, hey, they reiterated this is actually, you know,
<v Speaker 1>to be fair, they did say previously in a Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>investor meeting that it would have some some backward compatibility,
<v Speaker 1>but them just saying, hey, those physical game cards will
<v Speaker 1>go right into the switch to and your digital games
<v Speaker 1>will all just work. That is good news for people
<v Speaker 1>who had been a little bit antsy about this for
<v Speaker 1>quite some time. So there you go. Uh, let's see.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And then of course joy Con mouse functionality seemingly confirmed
<v Speaker 1>in switch to trailer during the During the trailer, you know,
<v Speaker 1>so I'll play that again at a point there, Uh,
<v Speaker 1>they put the little sheath on on the joy Con
<v Speaker 1>after decon disconnecting them from the base unit, and then
<v Speaker 1>they begin moving them around with like the tail of
<v Speaker 1>the strap hanging behind it in a way that suggests
<v Speaker 1>greatly that this is a mouse device. Now, I think,
<v Speaker 1>you know, makes sense, like as like a cool little
<v Speaker 1>gimmick that Nintendo might try to do. It seems like
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna work pretty well. Just kind of looking at
<v Speaker 1>it and I think we've already begun speculating all the
<v Speaker 1>kinds of games that could use this right out of
<v Speaker 1>the box. Though Civilization seven is going to be launching
<v Speaker 1>this this next month, next month, and that's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>on Switch one, it could just use the joy con
<v Speaker 1>right out of the box.
<v Speaker 2>Ruh, Yeah, out of the dumbest thing possible. Please, I'm
<v Speaker 2>gonna save that because Dan brought up the possibility of
<v Speaker 2>using these switch mice cons joy cons as a pointer
<v Speaker 2>in a Mario Maker game, and that'd be absolutely fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>Now, honestly, if they just updated Super Mario Maker two
<v Speaker 1>to use this, that would I would settle for that.
<v Speaker 1>That would be fantastic. They probably won't do that, but
<v Speaker 1>and I really don't know if they because Super Mario
<v Speaker 1>Maker two seem to like have support cut off because
<v Speaker 1>it didn't perform the the way that they wanted it to.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm in my heart, I'm like, They're probably not
<v Speaker 1>going to make another Super Mario Maker, but now that
<v Speaker 1>I'm seeing this, it's like, please do that that. This
<v Speaker 1>would be an ideal way to make those levels.
<v Speaker 2>Additionally, a fire Emblem game would be really cool.
<v Speaker 1>Any anything with Yeah, what do you call them cells.
<v Speaker 1>What's your thingles tiles? There you go.
<v Speaker 2>Additionally, like a Unicorn overlord would play very well with
<v Speaker 2>mouse and keyboard or I mean like a mouse pointer
<v Speaker 2>but grub if you will indulge me. Here, everyone listening,
<v Speaker 2>all right, I'm upset because we didn't. There's no watch
<v Speaker 2>as of right now, but we're all asking Nintendo to
<v Speaker 2>do something silly, do something dumb. Now, if you watch
<v Speaker 2>the trailer the when the joy cons snap off and
<v Speaker 2>snap into the sheet, they kind of tease some mouse functionality.
<v Speaker 2>What if we're thinking about this all wrong, everybody? What
<v Speaker 2>if you race and you pretend it's like a tech
<v Speaker 2>deck or a cart in the new Mario Kart, so
<v Speaker 2>as you are jumping and shifting it around, yeah, you
<v Speaker 2>are also jumping and shifting around in Mario Kart.
<v Speaker 1>Tech decks joy cons being built in the Nintendo Switch too,
<v Speaker 1>is what we all really need. I think absolutely give
<v Speaker 1>me that. I could do a flip trick with a
<v Speaker 1>tech deck like twice in my life, so I want
<v Speaker 1>to bring that skill back.
<v Speaker 2>All right, let's make that happen instead of like you
<v Speaker 2>are holding down one of the LR buttons and like
<v Speaker 2>that is your acceleration as you are like shifting around
<v Speaker 2>your little mouse to race around on the track. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>right there, folks, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Give it to me please real quick. We'll go back
<v Speaker 1>to this thought from Imron Khan on Blue Sky about
<v Speaker 1>Mario kart I see he put posts siou says he
<v Speaker 1>has a thought. I wonder if Mario Kart ten has
<v Speaker 1>a more open structure, a lah burnout paradise or forts
<v Speaker 1>a horizon, there's no reason for the tracks to be
<v Speaker 1>this wide. Additionally, Rosalina has skis on her KRT, which
<v Speaker 1>applies tire selection makes a difference with terrain, so off roading, Jan,
<v Speaker 1>you might have been onto something there. Yeah, I god,
<v Speaker 1>that might be the kind of change that could be
<v Speaker 1>very interesting. A burnout paradise, sort of like explorable world.
<v Speaker 1>And then you know, obviously you get to the thing
<v Speaker 1>and the race starts. Yeah, honestly I want that now, please.
<v Speaker 1>I hope that's what they're doing.
<v Speaker 2>When when the camera pans out and you see the
<v Speaker 2>starting line and then all the racers go out, there
<v Speaker 2>is like a dirt road that intersects with the main track. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's kind of why I brought up. Also, the possibility
<v Speaker 2>of like a mud runners thing. So I don't think
<v Speaker 2>gim runs too far off of what could happen. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and I think we're innovators, greb.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, there we are.
<v Speaker 2>Nintendo, cut the check.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, Nintendo, just listen to us for once. Yeah
<v Speaker 1>you can. Yeah, you almost get the sense that this
<v Speaker 1>is one of those like open world games that has
<v Speaker 1>a lot that has a you know, roped off this
<v Speaker 1>course on there, like that's kind of what like that
<v Speaker 1>big shine sprite thing just looks like it's doing that.
<v Speaker 1>And you're right, look there's a road intersecting up there. Okay, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I hope that's what they went. Also, I'm sorry button
<v Speaker 1>night the wrong button. There we go. I didn't put
<v Speaker 1>up headlines either. There we go, all right, go ahead.
<v Speaker 2>Jan Also, it's possible that the roads are wider because
<v Speaker 2>there are more racers.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, twenty four racers is a lot. Yeah, you probably
<v Speaker 1>do need to be slightly wider for that, But I
<v Speaker 1>want to believe, so.
<v Speaker 2>I too want to believe.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think that'd be a good way of doing things,
<v Speaker 1>all right, anything else from Nintendo stuff here, Nintendo will
<v Speaker 1>hold that blah blah blah. Yep. April second for that
<v Speaker 1>trying to think what else could other than Metroid could
<v Speaker 1>be in that February direct for Nintendo Switch one games.
<v Speaker 1>They could have other surprises. Maybe that's uh a METROI
<v Speaker 1>Prime two and three remastered finally come out there. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, we'll see. Yeah, they were working on that stuff, right,
<v Speaker 1>Zeno Blake Chronicles X. That's right, we'll talk about that. Yeah. No,
<v Speaker 1>they've they've they've shot wind Waker plus Twilight, Princess HD
<v Speaker 1>in the head everybody.
<v Speaker 2>That's Pokemon we'll learn about soon. It won't be in
<v Speaker 2>that nintended.
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Day will happen that month though, So yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>again like yeah, the word going around out there, people
<v Speaker 1>credited me with this. I just there was the word
<v Speaker 1>was going around out there that that all that stuff
<v Speaker 1>would be focused on Switch one at that Pokemon Day stuff.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, yeah, it sounds like they got some stuff
<v Speaker 1>they want to clean up and then April second switch
<v Speaker 1>to to me, that is the hardest part of this.
<v Speaker 1>Uh well, I agree with you that there will be
<v Speaker 1>a drip feed of information. They will be more willing
<v Speaker 1>to talk about this stuff now that they've confirmed it.
<v Speaker 1>I think between now and then they should have a
<v Speaker 1>investor report. Still wish we didn't have to wait to
<v Speaker 1>April to get the real full deal here, but oh well,
<v Speaker 1>it's it's you're right, you mentioned this when we were
<v Speaker 1>on the talkover. It'll fly by.
<v Speaker 2>Oh god, As Hamlet of Texas points out, April second
<v Speaker 2>is in seventy five days.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Actually, when you put it that way, that's that
<v Speaker 1>doesn't sound too crazy. All right, fair enough, seventy five days.
<v Speaker 1>We will get more information. Okay, let's take a quick break.
<v Speaker 1>When we come back, Let's get to the other headlines,
<v Speaker 1>including one hundred dollars for grand theft Auto six. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>we'll talk about it after this. All right, as promised,
<v Speaker 1>we are back. Switch to news all rounded up. Took
<v Speaker 1>care of that. Let's talk about this instead. Grand theft
<v Speaker 1>Auto six cost you as much as one hundred dollars
<v Speaker 1>could help video game industry rebound in twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 1>An analyst says this is from Eddie mccoit. Game spot
<v Speaker 1>veteran investment analyst and researcher. Matthew Ball of Eppolillion. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Epililion has released a gargantuan, two hundred and nineteen page
<v Speaker 1>report about the state of video game in a twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty five, and some of the presentation looks at how
<v Speaker 1>the video game industry can possibly grow in twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 1>and a section titled how player, player time and player
<v Speaker 1>spend might return to growth Ball mentioned a variety of opportunities,
<v Speaker 1>including Grand Theft Auto six costing as much as one
<v Speaker 1>hundred dollars when it launches this year. The thinking jan obviously,
<v Speaker 1>is this is a game that people cannot live without.
<v Speaker 1>They're gonna pay for this game, so why not charge
<v Speaker 1>them for this game a lot extra than you would
<v Speaker 1>normally charge because they are that the fomo would be
<v Speaker 1>too great. Even one hundred dollars would not cause a
<v Speaker 1>problem for that, the fomo will overcome it. Uh Look, yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's first of all, I don't want to encourage take
<v Speaker 1>to don't do that. You don't need to do that.
<v Speaker 1>This thing can be the seventy dollars, which is already
<v Speaker 1>a lot of money. And then you're gonna make so
<v Speaker 1>much from Grand Theft Auto Online, and and and then
<v Speaker 1>that that doesn't even speak to the fact of like
<v Speaker 1>we're talking about the industry bouncing back. You're talking about
<v Speaker 1>one company making all of the money. This is the
<v Speaker 1>One of the big problems with the industry right now
<v Speaker 1>is that a handful of games make all the money,
<v Speaker 1>so the biggest game making even more of the money
<v Speaker 1>doesn't really help anything. What are we talking about?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't know, Matthew Ball of a pillion or
<v Speaker 2>whatever company. It's also Thursday, but as soon as you
<v Speaker 2>read the headline, it became shut the fuck up Friday
<v Speaker 2>because and also, you know what, grew up. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>start calling myself an analyst.
<v Speaker 1>You analyze things constantly.
<v Speaker 2>The motherfucker. Do you gotta know how how money works?
<v Speaker 2>I barely do. But like charging hundred dollars, like you said, Grub,
<v Speaker 2>it's not gonna give Nintendo more money. It's not gonna
<v Speaker 2>give PopCap more money. It's only gonna give rock Star
<v Speaker 2>more money. You dumb fuck. I'm so sorry, Matthew Ball.
<v Speaker 2>You're probably a very nice person, but what the fuck, Doug, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's that's really what it is. No one wants to
<v Speaker 2>hear this. Keep these thoughts in your head. Uh, well,
<v Speaker 2>we don't, like, we know they want to charge us more.
<v Speaker 1>We get it. We don't have to like lay out
<v Speaker 1>the case for why it would be dope if they
<v Speaker 1>did so, Yeah, I don't. I don't think Grand Theft
<v Speaker 1>Auto six is gonna cost one hundred dollars on its face.
<v Speaker 1>I do think they find some creative ways. Well, look,
<v Speaker 1>I think a lot of people will pay one hundred
<v Speaker 1>dollars for this thing, and that will be the early
<v Speaker 1>access version that you can get a week early if
<v Speaker 1>you pay one hundred dollars, and it's the Ultimate Collector's
<v Speaker 1>Edition or whatever, the ultimate audition, and people will pay
<v Speaker 1>one hundred, one hundred probably that they might even charge
<v Speaker 1>like one hundred and twenty for that thing. And if
<v Speaker 1>you can't help yourself and you can't wait a week,
<v Speaker 1>then you're gonna be paying that tax on the thing.
<v Speaker 1>And at a certain point, I'm like, fine, whatever, Let
<v Speaker 1>those people who can't do not have patience subsidize everyone else.
<v Speaker 1>But I still don't think we need to make the
<v Speaker 1>base version underneath that one hundred dollars.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the people will definitely one hundred percent ay the
<v Speaker 2>early access tax, but for the general release of the game,
<v Speaker 2>I think seventy is more than enough to charge. Because
<v Speaker 2>rock Star is gonna make They're not gonna recoup cause immediately,
<v Speaker 2>but they will get there. They're gonna still Gangbusters grub yes,
<v Speaker 2>and I can see a special edition launching. They're gonna
<v Speaker 2>make a Game of the Year edition. They're gonna re
<v Speaker 2>release this game for decades and decades, and they will
<v Speaker 2>be fine. They do not need to charge one hundred
<v Speaker 2>out the gate for the base game.
<v Speaker 1>It's not even that's not even exaggeration, because we are
<v Speaker 1>a full, like decade plus out from the release of
<v Speaker 1>Grand Theft Auto five. They've released that over and over
<v Speaker 1>again and found new ways to release it. This this one,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's gonna be entering a world where the
<v Speaker 1>expectation is to be a game that goes for a decade.
<v Speaker 1>That wasn't the expectation with Grand Theft Auto. Now that's
<v Speaker 1>the expectation. And really it's like, this could be two
<v Speaker 1>decades straight of Grand Theft Auto six if everything goes
<v Speaker 1>according to plan. Of course they could. They couldn't run
<v Speaker 1>into speed bumps or whatever.
<v Speaker 2>I mean. They could even frame it as if Ogto
<v Speaker 2>points out twelve ish years this year, I could easily
<v Speaker 2>see rock Star spinning this out into Sure, it's twelve
<v Speaker 2>years of GTA five. But we're gonna reach We're gonna
<v Speaker 2>we can and will reach fifteen twenty years of GTA
<v Speaker 2>online just because I'm not one hundred percent sure how
<v Speaker 2>much of that experience are gonna change. I hope they
<v Speaker 2>do change some of it for everyone's sake of trying
<v Speaker 2>to get into it. Because I think you tried to
<v Speaker 2>experiment with gt online on a stream recently a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>It was Yes, Yes, I tried to like just do
<v Speaker 1>one thing, and it was this byzantine thing that I
<v Speaker 1>had to like do a certain amount of stuff just
<v Speaker 1>to play around with the mods that the community created
<v Speaker 1>that is like officially part of the aim. And it
<v Speaker 1>was confusing, and it was it frightened me off for sure.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. And I tried doing the same and I couldn't
<v Speaker 2>figure it out. And I wasn't streaming it. I had
<v Speaker 2>plenty of time to get it done, and I couldn't
<v Speaker 2>do it. Yep.
<v Speaker 1>And you're right, I like them having to sort of
<v Speaker 1>like have a fresh start there as a way to
<v Speaker 1>get new people in. Seems like that's something they would
<v Speaker 1>want to do. But and then at the same time,
<v Speaker 1>they have this tash generating factory that they don't want
<v Speaker 1>to give up, So they have two things they need
<v Speaker 1>to balance there. How they actually pull that off. They
<v Speaker 1>have not even hinted at yet, so we're gonna have
<v Speaker 1>to wait and find out how that goes down, and
<v Speaker 1>in the meantime, one hundred dollars Scrantft Auto six please now.
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 1>A new Halo will be announced in twenty twenty five,
<v Speaker 1>according to a rumor. This is from Jonas mack yet
<v Speaker 1>Game Reactor. In early twenty twenty, four to three four
<v Speaker 1>to three Industries was hit by major layoffs, but in
<v Speaker 1>the fall they were back on track with a new
<v Speaker 1>focus and also a new name. They are now called
<v Speaker 1>Halo Studios and have a largely new management which will
<v Speaker 1>hereafter make Halo games using Unreal Engine five. In connection
<v Speaker 1>with this, it was also revealed that they have several
<v Speaker 1>new projects in development, one of which is is rumored
<v Speaker 1>to be a remake of Halo Combat Evolved.
<v Speaker 2>Now.
<v Speaker 1>ReBs Gaming, who someone that follows the Halo scene very closely,
<v Speaker 1>writes a report that Halo Studios is playtesting future Halo
<v Speaker 1>games on a weekly basis and that this means that
<v Speaker 1>they have come a long way in development. As a result,
<v Speaker 1>he confidently expects at least one new Halo game announcement
<v Speaker 1>this year. ReBs Gaming also points out that playtesting was
<v Speaker 1>something that was cut during Halo Infinite development, which bodes
<v Speaker 1>well for the quality of the game. In addition, the
<v Speaker 1>entire team, including new members, is involved in the process
<v Speaker 1>or are involved in the process. Considering it's been almost
<v Speaker 1>four years since the release of Halo Infinite, it's diffinitely
<v Speaker 1>time to announce something new. Yeah. I think four years
<v Speaker 1>for an announcement that sounds about right. Whether or not
<v Speaker 1>this is a game that they announced and then it
<v Speaker 1>comes out very quickly, that's probably unlikely. But announced it
<v Speaker 1>this year, it comes out next year. Yeah, sure, jan Ochoa,
<v Speaker 1>what do you want from a new Halo.
<v Speaker 2>Crab? I don't know what I want from a new
<v Speaker 2>Halo be honest, I don't know. Call off campaign from
<v Speaker 2>the jump would help me, sure a lot.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's very likely. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Throw Marvel characters in it, and then I won't stop
<v Speaker 2>playing it.
<v Speaker 1>I guess. Yeah, I think. Let's see here, Sanacta in chat,
<v Speaker 1>snack Dad says Halo reboot seems likely. Yeah, it does.
<v Speaker 1>That's just seems like the right move at this point
<v Speaker 1>is let's let's restart the story kind of change the
<v Speaker 1>things up. Focus on the most interesting aspects of of
<v Speaker 1>the lore and go from there. I don't know how
<v Speaker 1>well what the appetite is for that among Halo diehards,
<v Speaker 1>but they sort of can't rely on Halo diehards anymore.
<v Speaker 2>No, no, yeah, they got to go bigger than that.
<v Speaker 2>I guess we've never finished the fight, so let's just
<v Speaker 2>start the fight.
<v Speaker 1>Restart the fight.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, yeah, do over. Gosh, I don't even remember
<v Speaker 2>what happens in Halo Infinite. But it's wild to think
<v Speaker 2>that Halo Infinite was teased. It's kind of like that
<v Speaker 2>platform approach grub that this will be like the hub
<v Speaker 2>that we will build from, or like the base we
<v Speaker 2>will build from afterwards.
<v Speaker 1>And now Halo that was doomed from the start because
<v Speaker 1>it like they the tools they were using did not enable,
<v Speaker 1>did not empower them to do that. It was too
<v Speaker 1>difficult to make that content and that was the thing
<v Speaker 1>that held back that entire game, something that again that
<v Speaker 1>I love, so I think it would have been awesome
<v Speaker 1>to see them be able to pull that off, and
<v Speaker 1>it was just never really in the cards. Now they're
<v Speaker 1>using Unreal Engine five. There's no more excuses they should
<v Speaker 1>if that's the kind of thing they want to do,
<v Speaker 1>they should be able to do it, but they kind
<v Speaker 1>of have already played that card. So it feels like
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna have to do something different here, which is
<v Speaker 1>why it's like sort of going back to ground making
<v Speaker 1>just a big Halo reboot that's a Halo ass Halo game,
<v Speaker 1>and and you know, and we definitely got I remember
<v Speaker 1>saying that the multiplayer for Halo Infinite was going to
<v Speaker 1>be Halo ass Halo and it was, but just kind
<v Speaker 1>of like, even stepping back further, don't try to do
<v Speaker 1>the open world stuff as much as I liked it.
<v Speaker 1>Just make a cool Halo shooter that has some cool
<v Speaker 1>new mechanics, and I think you build from there and
<v Speaker 1>then you can start doing experimental stuff again after that.
<v Speaker 1>Does that sound right?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, one hundred percent. I would love for them to
<v Speaker 2>experiment more and not feel beholden that they have to
<v Speaker 2>completely preserve everything about Halo because first person shooters, shooters
<v Speaker 2>in general grub have evolved so much since the last
<v Speaker 2>time Halo was prominently placed in the culturals gaming zeitgeist,
<v Speaker 2>and I would love some of those quality of life changes.
<v Speaker 2>I want to sprint Grub give me a double jump
<v Speaker 2>even I don't know. I really like the grappling hook
<v Speaker 2>in Halo Infinite too. Just give me an unlimited one please.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, yeah, just make that like cool to the character
<v Speaker 1>God making that big, heavy, dumb ass grapple around was
<v Speaker 1>a really cool feeling. I do you know, is there
<v Speaker 1>some people in chat that are that are kind of
<v Speaker 1>echoing this sentiment of we don't need more Halo. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>Halo can just be done and that you know, first
<v Speaker 1>of all, just video games don't do that. Everything comes back,
<v Speaker 1>Everything comes back eventually. All the stuff you think will
<v Speaker 1>never come back will come back. We're getting a half
<v Speaker 1>Life three. No one ever said we didn't need a
<v Speaker 1>half Life three, but we're getting a half Life three.
<v Speaker 1>We'll get everything back eventually. And I think I remember
<v Speaker 1>feeling similar around the time of Doom twenty sixteen, where
<v Speaker 1>it's like, we Doom, leave that in the past, we
<v Speaker 1>don't need that anymore. That's old. We have Call of
<v Speaker 1>Duty now that that is just a fun game to play,
<v Speaker 1>and Doom just can't match that, so why should it
<v Speaker 1>even try? And that's what Doom what's originally going to
<v Speaker 1>be a Doom. It was a Doom four was going
<v Speaker 1>to be kind of a lot more like Call of Duty,
<v Speaker 1>and then they scrapped that and came up with Doom
<v Speaker 1>twenty sixteen, which is a delight. It's such a good game,
<v Speaker 1>and I just think Halo can have something similar to that.
<v Speaker 1>It just maybe the expectations shouldn't be that a new
<v Speaker 1>Halo comes out and it is the game, the number
<v Speaker 1>one game, the game everyone's talking about and playing and
<v Speaker 1>sells better than everything else. That's maybe not what Halo
<v Speaker 1>needs to be anymore. But something along the ones of
<v Speaker 1>June twenty sixteen. I think that's possible.
<v Speaker 2>I could see a future grub that maybe they kind
<v Speaker 2>of lean into the co op or class based shooter
<v Speaker 2>aspect a little bit more. Perhaps I would love the
<v Speaker 2>possibility of a Halo that's kind of like Star Wars
<v Speaker 2>Republic Commando.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's like a bad idea.
<v Speaker 2>You're a squad of spartans. Perhaps maybe you're fighting a
<v Speaker 2>space regime that has glowing orange eyes that and they're like,
<v Speaker 2>we're gonna kill Halo. We're the Halo Killers. Perhaps, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. Yeah, maybe they're from Hell and they're ghastly.
<v Speaker 1>Ooh, okay, I'm picking up what you're putting down here,
<v Speaker 1>that's something. And then god, what's the other PlayStation shooter
<v Speaker 1>called Resistance? And then the Resistance shows up there you go, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>there we go. That's a third faction. It's a third faction.
<v Speaker 1>It's the DLC. They hinted for the DLC. All right, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>new Halo will be announced this year. Maybe we'll see
<v Speaker 1>last couple of stories here. PC gaming continues to massively
<v Speaker 1>outperform consoles. This is from Alex Hopley, a Game reactor. Sorry,
<v Speaker 1>keep creaking my mic. In the past decade or so,
<v Speaker 1>PC gaming has continued to rise from being seen more
<v Speaker 1>as a niche way to play games to the ultimate
<v Speaker 1>way to indulge in gaming. Now, a new report from
<v Speaker 1>Appolilion shows that the spending on PC gaming has eclipse
<v Speaker 1>that of consoles. That isn't to say consoles aren't attractive
<v Speaker 1>or aren't attracting billions on their own. Last year, according
<v Speaker 1>to appion, a pillion I think is how you said it,
<v Speaker 1>and I'd like that better consoles brought home eighteen billion dollars. Yes.
<v Speaker 1>When it came to spending, PC gaming, however, had a
<v Speaker 1>total of thirty billion dollars. Of course, even combined consoles
<v Speaker 1>and PC can't hold a candle to mobiles eighty billion dollars,
<v Speaker 1>but that's understandable in today's gaming age. The report goes
<v Speaker 1>on to say that things like larger gaming libraries, the
<v Speaker 1>inclusion of early access titles, higher top tier performance, and
<v Speaker 1>its ability to multitask, among other factors, are what draw
<v Speaker 1>people to PC over console. Yeah, I think really, I
<v Speaker 1>think the underlying thing, the thing that really changed it
<v Speaker 1>for most people is PC feels permanent. Consoles feel like
<v Speaker 1>what you know, even if you get backwards to compatibility
<v Speaker 1>support going forward, Do I really trust that the console
<v Speaker 1>space is going to be this robust thing that can
<v Speaker 1>support my library of games that I've collected ten to
<v Speaker 1>fifteen years from now. I don't know. People have some
<v Speaker 1>skepticism about that when it comes to PC gaming, but
<v Speaker 1>not nearly to the degree they have that for console gaming.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that has just caused a shift of
<v Speaker 1>people who like to have big collections of digital games
<v Speaker 1>and they want to go do that on PC now.
<v Speaker 2>I think also grub access to PC gaming has just
<v Speaker 2>become so much easier. Gaming laptops there are an obscene
<v Speaker 2>amount Now you go to a costco and before they
<v Speaker 2>have like maybe one or two laptops that are gaming oriented,
<v Speaker 2>but now you go into a costco and they have
<v Speaker 2>a whole fleet of different laptops, whole desktop setups. And
<v Speaker 2>I feel like with the uptick of streaming, there's also
<v Speaker 2>an uptick of people that want to get into streaming,
<v Speaker 2>so they will invest in trying to get a PC. Also,
<v Speaker 2>the PC is just gonna last so much longer than
<v Speaker 2>a console will. And I think the thing that appeals
<v Speaker 2>to me the most is the access to early access games.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, yep, And yeah, that's the That's a huge thing
<v Speaker 1>for me, like where it just feels like the next
<v Speaker 1>big amazing thing will happen, and it will happen on PC,
<v Speaker 1>likely Steam, but even if it happens outside of Steam,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be early access from some website somewhere,
<v Speaker 1>the way that Minecraft was all those years ago. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>or even like Kerbal Space program. So yeah. I just
<v Speaker 1>think that PC feels more lively, more robust, more resilient.
<v Speaker 1>And as people begin like the kinds of people were
<v Speaker 1>talking about the fifty billion dollars versus the eighty billion
<v Speaker 1>dollars a mobile, the fifty billion dollars. Is people who
<v Speaker 1>are like, this is my hobby. I spend a lot
<v Speaker 1>of money on this. It's an investment. And those people
<v Speaker 1>I think are feeling more secure when they invest that
<v Speaker 1>money into PC these days. And you know, even like
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation five, right, that should be like, you know the most,
<v Speaker 1>like Okay, this is going to be forever PlayStation They'll
<v Speaker 1>just keep making PlayStations forever. It's like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation seven, are they really going to keep doing that?
<v Speaker 1>By then? Maybe they will, But in the meantime, it's
<v Speaker 1>like when they are looking around trying to decide like
<v Speaker 1>what kind of games they want to be making. You know,
<v Speaker 1>they left Japan as their headquarters quite a few years ago,
<v Speaker 1>and it's like, we're going to make these global games
<v Speaker 1>that appear to appeal to this global audience, and you
<v Speaker 1>just feel the pressure on them to grow in a
<v Speaker 1>way that it has affected what PlayStation is underneath. And
<v Speaker 1>in PC it's just like this open field of all
<v Speaker 1>these people throwing games into the ring and whatever happened,
<v Speaker 1>whatever pops off, pops off, and that that's a different
<v Speaker 1>feeling for sure.
<v Speaker 2>And this may seem silly grub, but I feel like
<v Speaker 2>some people will swallow the pill of a high entry
<v Speaker 2>price of getting a rebuilt PC even because they see
<v Speaker 2>the appeal. And how often games on PC, games on
<v Speaker 2>Steam specifically will go on sale yep.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and that's that's part of the culture too. It's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you could save a lot of money on these games.
<v Speaker 1>You want to be part of the Steam sale. It's
<v Speaker 1>something everyone does now. So yeah.
<v Speaker 2>And also I feel like another audience that we tend
<v Speaker 2>to forget about is the MMO audience. And some of
<v Speaker 2>those free to play games grub Yeah, that are only
<v Speaker 2>on PC and they technically they don't require a lot,
<v Speaker 2>so you could kind of get an old laptop or
<v Speaker 2>a cheaper gaming laptop and you're good to go to
<v Speaker 2>play whatever survival or MMO game is out there.
<v Speaker 1>Yep. And if it's like you want, even if you
<v Speaker 1>are a mobile gamer, you get really into Gensen and
<v Speaker 1>you want to play the upgraded version, you're probably gonna
<v Speaker 1>go to a muck bang and play it on PC.
<v Speaker 1>And that's that's a possibility. Yeah, not muck bang. What
<v Speaker 1>is it? What is the the uh? What's this? What
<v Speaker 1>are they called a PC bank? Thank you that I
<v Speaker 1>always conflate those in my Hey, you know, I want
<v Speaker 1>to call him a muck bank. From now on, you
<v Speaker 1>go to a muck bang, you eat a ton of food,
<v Speaker 1>and your Gensen impact runs really well. Why the hell not?
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation Plus adding God of War Ragnarok in Indiana Jones. No,
<v Speaker 1>not that one. This is from Zack Suizen at Kotaku.
<v Speaker 1>To kick off the new year, Sonya is revealed in
<v Speaker 1>an impressive list of games coming to its large PlayStation
<v Speaker 1>Plus game catalog. God of War, Ragnarok and a Yakuza
<v Speaker 1>spinoff included, as well as Indiana Jones. Just again, not
<v Speaker 1>that one, but don't get too excited, as that is
<v Speaker 1>gonna be the It's not the Fantastic Circle, it's the
<v Speaker 1>Staff of Kings. Here is the full list of games.
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium will include God of Ragnarok,
<v Speaker 1>Like a Dragon, Guide In The Man Who Erased his Name,
<v Speaker 1>Atlas Fallen, Rain of the Rain of Sand, SD Gundam,
<v Speaker 1>Battle Alliance, Sayonara, Wild Hearts, Anno Multi mut Mutation them
<v Speaker 1>you Teta know them? Oh this is a rough one.
<v Speaker 1>Jan this you take to you, We're gonna mutation is
<v Speaker 1>a mutation? Oh boy? Okay? That through me off because
<v Speaker 1>and I is like, I'm thinking French, and it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>that is not a French word. Mutation them Orcs must
<v Speaker 1>die three Citizen Sleeper and Poker Club, and then PlayStation
<v Speaker 1>Plus Premium will get Indiana Jones and the Staff of
<v Speaker 1>Kings and Medieval too. I'm dying. Yeah, I'm falling apart
<v Speaker 1>over here, everybody, all right, up early, we woke up early. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>mutation them.
<v Speaker 2>Ah. I'm still on buck bang grub, Yeah, of course.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I think you should combine those two things. You
<v Speaker 1>should be able to muck bang while you pc bang.
<v Speaker 1>I think. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Folks, just don't you can lick the switch to cart.
<v Speaker 1>Just don't eat it, all right, don't tell me how
<v Speaker 1>to live my life. Okay, we got a pull question.
<v Speaker 1>Let's get over to that real quick and get out
<v Speaker 1>of here because the show's falling apart at the seams. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>move that there, refresh and there we go. Okay. The
<v Speaker 1>new pole question was have you played Assassin's Creed for
<v Speaker 1>Black Flag? Sixty six percent have said yes, thirty four
<v Speaker 1>percent said no. That's a pretty big number for people
<v Speaker 1>who have played Assassin's Creed for a Black Flag, a
<v Speaker 1>game that is reportedly getting remastered and re released later
<v Speaker 1>this year. Now, of course, a lot of those people
<v Speaker 1>could double dip. I like Assassin's Creed four, a lot
<v Speaker 1>might want to check back in on it. But a
<v Speaker 1>lot of times you see this from a game that
<v Speaker 1>is about that old, and it's like, you know, forty
<v Speaker 1>percent have played it. This was a very big hit,
<v Speaker 1>though it turns out that a lot of people playing
<v Speaker 1>games have gone back to check it out.
<v Speaker 2>I kind of am i camp Lucy when she mentioned
<v Speaker 2>why not remake Syndicate because that would be pretty neat.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I hope that this leads to that. If this
<v Speaker 1>is what they're doing, now start with this one. You know,
<v Speaker 1>skip Unity, do Syndicate.
<v Speaker 2>But at the same time, grub stop, don't do this anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well, they they're not. That's not an option in
<v Speaker 1>their eyes. They're gonna keep doing more and more Assassin's Creed.
<v Speaker 1>You know, the reporting was and I think they they
<v Speaker 1>themselves said they had something like a dozen Assassin's Creed projects.
<v Speaker 1>Those included film and TV, but also a lot of games,
<v Speaker 1>but they had like a dozen in the works. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>all right, we got a new poll question. We'll get
<v Speaker 1>to here in a second, you know, real quick, let's
<v Speaker 1>check in on this one from three days ago is
<v Speaker 1>switched to getting revealed this week. Fifty nine percent of
<v Speaker 1>you were right there. You go be proud of yourself.
<v Speaker 1>Let's go all right, newpol question a second, jan What
<v Speaker 1>do we have going on on the website?
<v Speaker 2>Today? We got another episode of Voicemail dumb Truck if
<v Speaker 2>you missed it earlier. This morning, we did talk over
<v Speaker 2>the switch to reveal trailer. We got to do some
<v Speaker 2>funky stuff to the archive of term Dan and Ader
<v Speaker 2>record of the Machines. Apparently we almost got a strike
<v Speaker 2>because that game just puts in parts of the.
<v Speaker 1>Movie long uncut scenes from the movie.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, so we're going to take a stab at that tomorrow, folks.
<v Speaker 2>If you've been tuning in later in the day, we've
<v Speaker 2>been hosting Jesse Vittelli and Company's streams. They've been raising
<v Speaker 2>money for LA wildfire relief. Tomorrow we will be jumping
<v Speaker 2>in the ring ourselves. We will also be doing a
<v Speaker 2>charity stream for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires
<v Speaker 2>by doing what may be a very long stream that
<v Speaker 2>we were calling Bowser's hurry. So I believe as of
<v Speaker 2>right now, Grub Mike Manati, Dan Reikert, maybe Turbo Shan
<v Speaker 2>if he's feeling up to it. We'll be competing and
<v Speaker 2>completing Bowser's Fury. Are we doing one hundred percent or
<v Speaker 2>are we getting all the shines?
<v Speaker 1>We We're not. Yes, we are gonna We're gonna play
<v Speaker 1>to completion. We are not gonna get one hundred shines,
<v Speaker 1>which is that would be one percent in it. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna go to the end of the game, so credits. Basically,
<v Speaker 1>I think that should take about three to four hours.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see, you know, who knows. Maybe maybe we get
<v Speaker 1>like a little bit sidetracked and the first person beats
<v Speaker 1>at like four to five hours, So that'll be pretty
<v Speaker 1>long on its own. It probably shouldn't take that long,
<v Speaker 1>but it could one It could become a real problem
<v Speaker 1>if we try to find like the last two things
<v Speaker 1>that we just don't know where to go for.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, and then next week grub, next week's BCR,
<v Speaker 2>that's when we will be doing the BCR Fantasy Draft,
<v Speaker 2>and then I believe two weeks from then is when
<v Speaker 2>we will be doing Best Music of twenty twenty four.
<v Speaker 1>That sounds right.
<v Speaker 2>Stuff keeps popping off.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we got plenty of Honestly, there's like plenty of
<v Speaker 1>stuff happening on BCR for the next couple of weeks,
<v Speaker 1>things that we want to fit in there. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we're shifting things around to make sure we could do
<v Speaker 1>it all. It's exciting. So yeah, everyone keep tuning in
<v Speaker 1>for the rest of this week. As Jen said voicemail,
<v Speaker 1>Dump Truck happening later today, and I'm really excited about
<v Speaker 1>Bowser's hurry, so you'll want to watch that, and of
<v Speaker 1>course Game Best Mornings. We'll be back tomorrow on that show.
<v Speaker 1>We will have the results of this poll. When do
<v Speaker 1>you think the switch to is coming out? April? May, Summer, Fall,
<v Speaker 1>pick yours, pick your poison there, God, I'm I really
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I think if I had to pick one
<v Speaker 1>of these right now, I probably would go with Fall,
<v Speaker 1>which is a disappointment. I don't want to believe that,
<v Speaker 1>but I think it probably is the case. Yeah, listen,
<v Speaker 1>I want to get excited for May. Everyone vote for May.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe that's the case. Maybe maybe May it's gonna be May.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic. All right, I feel
<v Speaker 1>the mutation I'm taking me over and I need to
<v Speaker 1>muckbang myself right now, so we should probably get out
<v Speaker 1>of here. Janet Chow, thank you so much for hanging
<v Speaker 1>out with me today and talk about video games. Man,
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate it.
<v Speaker 2>We gotta go catch our Mexican jumping beans.
<v Speaker 1>We gotta go catch our Mexican jumping beans. I love
<v Speaker 1>those things. Thanks for watching, everybody, You're the best audience
<v Speaker 1>in gaming. Until next time, have a good one, take
<v Speaker 1>care of yourself, and goodbye.
