We're finally in touch feet, Touch feet, do it. We're finally back
live in person from the studio. I left my house at nine thirty am
today and we had to push the podcast back to two pm because I just
got here traffic that was the worst New York traffic I've seen personally. Even
trying to cross the street to get in here, I was like dodging cars
and I was like a mile away for like an hour. I was at
a at Staten Island. I was at a like legit standstill for half an
hour and just wasn't moving. I actually, I so I don't I don't
want to talk about this now. I'll talk about it later. I was
supposed to catch the train today, so I took my rug ally and my
glasses because I was like, I was gonna play it on the train.
And when I was stuck in the standstill in traffic. I like got it
all out because I was like, I'm gonna play because I was a standstill.
I was at a stand still. I was like, I may as
well. And then as I wanted to put the glasses on, a cop
car pulled up right next to me, and I was like, you know
what, this is probably a bad idea. That wouldn't be such an awesome
ticket to get though, And I was playing in my arms. I was
playing Starfield in my car because, by the way, and we'll talk about
it later, maybe I put Starfield on here and it runs better on the
rug ally than the Xbox. And I was playing it last night in bed
in my glasses and I was in the future. You know, you could
just play it on this right, You don't need the glasses, but the
glasses make it way more fun. Wow, like a big TV. It
was fine on Xbox for me. Oh that's a choice. Well do you
mean it's a choice? Well, I just I didn't think so it was
it was was It was locked thirty FPS for an FK. It was locked
thirty Yeah for an fps is a bit rough for me. When I switched
over to PC and got the one twenty. My game play changed, like
because on the thirty fps, I went from kind of playing slow because like
it's like everybody, hello, sorry, it's all like low. We have

Hello? Hello everybody? It's like lower lower frame. So I'm playing slower.
I'm like hanging back. I'm like trying to pick my shots. I'm
not like playing it like Doom Eternal where I'm rushing in and I'm wipping around
and you know, one hundred and twenty frames, I was unleashed. I
was like a beast unchanged. I think the difference is like I need high
frame rates when I'm playing like a competitive multiplayer game. But I'm playing a
single player game. It's like I'm not like you're just breezing. I'm saying
I need it. I'm saying My gameplay style changed and it became more fun.
Once I uncapt my frames, it just felt fine. It felt fine,
Well, this is hitting like fifty frames. So I actually played on
this last night in bed, and I decided to stream it because I didn't
want to delete stuff all your bed. You streamed your bed bed playing week.
You could do that on if the Patreon. If you subscribe Patreon,
don't So. I was playing on game Pass streaming it, and for the
first time, game Pass ran like garbage. Oh it's so it Actually Starfield
ran worse streaming on game Pass than it did on my Xbox. So I'm
gonna download it. Don't do that again. Supposedly you're saying it runs good
on Yeah, it runs fine. It got an update the RG ally,
yes, specifically forced. I had to download. I had to go to
the website and download the update that said forced Starfield because without that it looked
bad and kept crashing, like as soon as you boot it up it would
crash. And then I put the update in and it was like fifty frames
and looks great, Like it looks like ten ADP. It's nuts. You
know what the resolution is tend p. There's like no from Starfield coming out
of start because there's no settings at all in Starfield. Huh, there's settings,
you know what, there's no settings on Xbox. Yeah, dump,
there's like no display settings Like yeah, I mean you had to put it
all to low and do variable resolution at like fifty percent or something, but
yeah, it gets over thirty frames pretty consistently, and like setting things to
low on a screen like this, you're fine. You don't notice like big
or small details on a screen this big. When I was streaming it,
I was getting like bit crushed issues and like weird lines and stuff. It
was like really bad. And that's the first time I've played Game Pass in
my own home even and had it just I think the white buso kind of
sucks. I don't know, I always I always have low bars. Well,
I I've played stuff on Game Pass on there before and it was fine.
I've played PlayStation Plus Premium and it was it actually ran surprisingly well.
I've had like I've watched a ton of Amaranth on this too, and like
everybody, t ADP, my P was tight. All right, all right,
hey, okay, everybody, we do have some non non Nintendo stuff
to talk about. We're not clickbating this time actually for once, although to
be fair, to be fair, it's it's as clickbaty as they've all been
because we're at that time of year and that time of season where the rumors
and the leagues are running rampant and we're clearly building up to something. It's

immediately talk about euro gamers could confirmation basically or do we want to talk about
the rumors that happened last week? Because this basically confirmed some of the rumors,

you can tell me what that is. Okay, So you're a gamer confirmed
that Nintendo at games Com in Germany. They had a bunch of stuff on
the show floor, but behind the scenes they were demoing the Nintendo switched to
to developers, and we have a lot of information on that that makes it
look legit, but also really exciting some of the stuff that's in here that
they were demoing. What were you going to say? Uh? Last week
there was a supposed uh leak on some forum from some guy who some people
think is reputable, uh, talking about how they were showing Switch to Dev
Kids at games Com. Uh. So this is basically confirmation of that.
The only thing that was weird is that some people said this was a this
was a fake of the reputable guy, so it wasn't actor. The reputable
guy was a fake one and the post got deleted. And this guy also
said that Square Enix has Final Fantasy seven remakes. Ye on the Switch to
Dev Kids. We probably did, I do have I thought we talk about
do we talk about that that? Apparently no? We you and I inboxed
we d mned about it because box because I sent a carrier pigeon, because
Austin John tweeted a tweet yes yes, yes, And then we told I
don't think we I don't think we talked about it on the episode though,
So uh. This this guy says the final face some remake switched to port
runs like a PS five game on a Switch to Death Kid, which sounds
ridiculous. Did we talk about this? Can you can you watch chat talking
about it on my last podcast as it may be funny if you just I
whatever, it doesn't matter now here we go give him what they want.
So it can't We couldn't have had it in an episode because Austin John tweeted
this five days ago. Okay, so his tweet that I sent to you
said about the switch too. This is Austin John tweeting this, which means
it's true. He got Pokemon two weeks early, switched to your kids five
months early. He's I'm not gonna say switch to death. Kids have been
out for a while. New cartridge but backwards compatible think DS and three DS
games maybe so this you were confused by this, it's not because you were
like, it's pretty crazy for them to say it's going to have three DS
play a bilit No, he's saying, it's like when DS upgraded to three
DS and the cartridges got bigger and different. But you can, yeah,
but you can still slop both in the same cartridges. But the three DS
ones will obviously more beefy. Think of that, So the switch to cartridges
will be bigger beefy. Are able to handle more. They'll look a little
different, but you'll be able to slot both in the same So it looks
like this is pretty much this is trying to confirm backwards compatibility. That's I
think that's very interesting because a few months ago we had another rumor that said
there were switched to dev kids in the wild and they are not backwards compatible,
and we talked about that on this podcast and I said that sounds like
bullshit. Dev kids aren't indicative of what the actual world is going to be.
Also, this leak, well not this is not the Eurogamer little expose.
This is Austin John retweeting something from reset era, which I think was
leaked from that was this guy. Yeah, that which was this guy that
we were talking, So this could I'm not putting too much weight into this.
This is just something interesting to look at, right. But my point
is that I believe that they will be backwards compatible in some capacity. It's
possible. But I'm just mad at everybody for flip flopping. We always mad
at everybody, That's what's the difference. Just mad at everybody here, especially
today, a lot of traffic, a lot of people out, it's hot,
and the parking guy almost didn't let you play. You had to fight
with the parking even though you had Why didn't fight that hod? He said
no. I gave him a lot of sasas and then he gave me a
lot of sass but he said no, and I said, I'll pay you
double and he said, okay. I said, I have a reservation.
He goes, I don't know what to tell you. And I said,
what, why? Why do I have a reservation? Didn't sign field?
Why don't I have a reservation? What does a reservation mean? He goes,
I don't know. I wasn't next to you and you made it.

And I said, well, am I, how do you want me

you're allowed to yell because you have a Brooklyn accent, so like you're just
from here. He was laughing. We were kind of laughing about in me
very He was very nice. Also, he parked the car and then I
was like, also, can you charge it? And there was another car
in that spot. He looked at me and he was like, if you
set that first, I could have moved that car. Then I was like,
I'll give you another ten. I left him. He gave me the
ticket and I just walked away. So I don't even know what happened to
my car. Car is gone. Usually they asked for a number, and
they didn't today, so my car could be gone to a reservation. He
scanned it. You texted me about last week. It's like, can they
reserve? And I had to look like in the catacombs because I couldn't figure
out how to do it. Now, well now I know how to do
it, and apparently that's not how you do it. These are so much
more fun when we're in person. Oh my gun. Also happy to have
driven two hours to be here. Thank you for buddy. The other half
of this quote was Final Fantasy seven ah, which is the remains that I
don't believe now because why would that be coming the switch that apparently? So
I was talking to my brother about and he was saying that we think that
Sony like partially funded that the remake. It's only one. It's only on
PlayStation and PC. Yeah, it's not on Xbox. Yeah, so I
found I think that it's the seven remake is on PC. Yah, that's
what I said. But is it on Xbox? No, it's not on
Xbox. That's what we said. That's what we said. You said it
wasn't on PC. Bad A lot of a lot of PlayStation exclusives are also
on PC. I think what is it possible is that they, like Square
Knicks, just decided like, oh, let's mess around with this dev kid
and they just put Final Fantasy there. That doesn't mean we're going to get
it. That just might be a thing that they decided they wanted to.
The one thing I was saying in the favor of this is we do have
all the previous fun of Fantasies in the form of the shop we have.
We have like x X two, a bunch like twelve old like physical as
well, and we have fun of Fantasy fifteen on the s which in the
form of the pocket version, which was them trying to get that game on
consoles that couldn't handle it. I guess it's not out of the realm of
possibility that they might like to finally actually pull the full thing, or I
don't think that there's a reality with it. I'm just trying to get I
think there is a reality where they're messing around with the dev Kid. But
I say this could be a launch game. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
That's like too much. That would be sick though. But I do
think there's way to the fact that games come they were probably showing developers to
switch to dev Kid. It makes sense for them to do that there.
I heard confirmation from other people the other podcasts even of talking about how there
were behind closed doors areas of Nintendo that had high security. Wasn't a Crisis
Core is on Switch, But that's true, that's just that's a prequel to
seven. So it's a it's the remake of Crisis Core, which is the
prequel of the remake of seven. If if Fine Fantasy and remake was partially
funded by PlayStation, why did appear anyway? Well, I'm sure that remake
was partially funded by PlayStation. I don't think so, but I mean it
was on PSP. But also if you played remake like the end, did
Crisis called coming Xbox? Crisis Core is on every console. I think it's
likely that final PHYSI seven remake. It's the prequel seven remake. Okay,
but it's a completely different set of circumstances. Yeah, I do agree with
Bob. It is a different circumstances in my opinion. I know plays and
had exclusivity of seven remake for up to a year. Yeah, uh that
is now long over. I don't I don't leave it's coming. I agree,
it's different circumstances. Well, i'llgree about something that is not important,
but I do think it's possible. But that's I'll just leave it at that.
The last thing in this league before we start reading the Eurogame of thing
was that the switch to supposedly has a camera that is also confirmed in the
Eurogamer thing. I think, really, well, then that gives this merit.
Then yeah, a lot of the euro Gamer thing gives this merit.
Oh yeah, it's basically euro game. This is the same thing that happened
like weeks ago, where there was a rumor that was on like reset error
or something, and then euro Gamer confirmed it, and then we did two
episodes back to back about the same thing. Oh here's the third. Uh
so Nintendo demo switched to the developers at games come. Is the title of
the Eurovision article in Cologne. What did I say Eurovision whoops in Cologne last
month? Is that the name of the place? Nintet. That's what I
put on this morning to come here. We all did. Actually I didn't
today. I sweat it off by now. Ye put Nintendo's public games come
floor booth a showfall Bluth. You could play I'm just I can't talk today,
Pickman four and Mario Kardate Deluxe. But behind the scenes the company had
more up at slevers. Oh sleeves, you're doing great, honey, Oh
my god, I was kidding. Okay, So one switch to demo is
a souped up version of the Switch launch title Zelda Breath of the Wild,
designed to hit the Switch two's B for your target specs to be clear.
Though it is just a tech demo. There's no suggestion the game will be
re released, but this isn't Nintendo and they are kings of rereleasing previous games.
I'm hoping it's like an enhanced version of the same thing that you can
just like download if you haven't. I want to know what souped up means
and why just Breath of the Wild and not Tears of the Kingdom, because
they're pretty much the same. I'd imagine, well, they're just showing it
to developers, you know, and why not show the new hardness. I'd
imagine it's just hitting a steady framework. They're showing Breath of the Wild,
not Tears of the Kingdom. I know, I thought there was two of
the Kingdom. No mistake, says breath of the Breath of the Wild.
My brain just correct auto corrected. Well, that's what I'm saying. Why
not Tears of the Kingdom. That's why that one of all ones? But
I want to like our an AHD remaster. I know of an HD game
though, well, I mean it's the old Rage. Now they can charge
seventy four. It look at Last of Us part one again, I want
to know what souped up means. Though we talk in sixty FBS ten eighty,
we talk in the full sixty four K. I mean, it's a
game that isn't hard to run sixty four K it was. It could have
ran on the Wii you, but it did run on the Wii You.
So euro Gamer broke this news, but also VGC Video Games Chronicle also broke
some stuff and their article. The article. Their article also talked about how
Nintendo filed patents for AI upscaling technology back in March twenty twenty, which I
didn't know about. Why are you making faith you made a joke. I
was smiling. I was smiling Scotish. They said the patents include stuff like
plugging it into a TV and having it all automatically be able to upscale stuff
to ten ADP, and they particularly mentioned a four five forty P image being
upscale to ten ADP. It does, however, mentioned that other upscaling processes,
including upscaling two four K, would be possible. Yeah, so it's
just a patent. Though this has been a hot minute. I want to
say two on my three years since I had a conversation with Sean from RGTY
on my channel about what Nintendo might do with their next console, and there
were leaks surrounding a certain chip set from Nvidio or technology that's already technically available
right now with the Nvideo shield that DLS, Yeah, where it can artificially
upscale to four K, which is what we would most likely be looking at
with the switch too. If it even has a dream of doing four K,
it would be most likely a ten d P console that could artificially upscale
to four K, which would obviously mean when you docket it's going to look
a lot nicer on your TV. It's not going to be actual four K,
but pretty dang good. Still, would you be okay with it?
If they did, I'd be I'd be more. I don't think it's even
necessary. Yeah, I think it's more than okay. The reason those rumors
circulated a lot was because the switch runs on end video architecture YEA and end
video. Why not utilize that video uses? They have d LSS available to
upscale stuff, and there's apparently a specific chip you can put in something that
just does the upscaling. Some people think that that would either be on the
switch or in the dock or something. I think it. I think,
I think, I think. I'm not sure. I think that they Nintendo
is going to do their own sort of weird version of it, and whether
it utilizes whatever in video gives them or not, it could just be when
you plug it into a dock, it just uses more power, which is
what we already see. It's what we already have, just like a better
version of them. It's interesting. I really just want to know so bad,
because I mean, now we have things like this rog and the Steam
Deck on the market. Are they aiming to compete with that? Are they
aiming to blow it out the water with power or are they once again gonna
Nintendo it and just kind of absolutely gonna Nintendo it and just rely on their
games being good enough. Yeah. I that that one, because like these
don't do any kind of four K up scaling or anything like that, so
they could but just by doing a ten d P weird. I know you'd
think that one of these guys would, would I know, don't give an
idea, so this can do. I think the AMD version of upscaling,
that's they had a partnership. AMD had a partnership with Starfield, and I
think you can only do the AMD tile style upscaling. Is so sick on
this thing, I want you to try. That's probably thanks to that partnership.
It's so good. I'm gonna I'm gonna download it. Yeah, but
I'm here. Nintendo's yet to discuss publicly their plans for the Switch successor,
but it's wildly expected to launch in twenty twenty four. At this point with
them demoing it, we're kind of mid through this year. We've been having
rumors about this all year. It's not. I don't think a shock that
twenty twenty four is gone, because now we've been saying that from I know,
it just makes some more sense. But you start thinking any later than
that, when they're already demoing it, you're risking it getting leaked. You're
risking too many things. Yeah, it's gonna come out. Isn't that also
the thing that we've technically seen every seven years? Oh yeah, baby,
that's seven years. I mean then it's been getting longer. Yeah, Nintendo's
a little bit more sporadic. Also, technically, the Switch is last gen's
system. It's it's not in the same generation as the Series X and the
PlayStation five. For some reason, it's in the same generation as that we
use. I think. I don't know why. I don't agree with that.
Is it like a like a resolution base. I don't know. I
think it's that could be wrong. I think it's purely because they stagger their
releases and they're just always one behind, so that technically always consulted one behind,
but they're together. The WU and the Switch are in the same same
that that's weird. I don't know why that is the thing. Yeah,
that makes no sense that the WU was just so bad. Everyone in the
video gonna say it was like, we're gonna let you try again. Either
that or they're really trying to say the WEU was so good. It's on
pad with the switch. We just we just also have the switch. Now
I have my WIU for home and my switch for when I'm out, and
then when I go home, and then when I'll say when I go home.
I haven't read all of this, so I'm reading it with you guys
for the first time. But a recent report Pin switched to his arrival for
the later part of next year, but that was a different article they're linking
to. I'm not clicking on. So the VGC article mentions that they also
saw that it or their their source says that they also had a demo of
Breath of the Wild, and they specifically say running out a higher frame rate
and resolution than the original game did on hardware targeting the new consoles specs,
which doesn't give us much information, but there's no suggestion the game will be
actually rereleased, of course, but they also mentioned that the source told VGC
that Nintendo showcased Epics Immersive the Matrix awakens Unreal Engine five tech demo that was
originally released to showcase the power of the PlayStation five in the Xbox Series X
in twenty twenty one. Remember that, Yeah, I remember that. You're
saying that's on switch. That's on the switch too. It's an Unreal Engine
tech demo, so it could probably run on a lot of stuff, just
to vary the because it looks crazy that it runs. Yeah, whoa,

twenty four will bring us. It doesn't necessarily say this is the switch a
switch to game Metroid Prime four big Oh yeah, No, they can't say
that. Oh no, it's meanwhile still holds a TVA launch date, which
I only just read at this point in time. I promise. I actually
I didn't read that far ahead until now I'm interested. Nintendo did not comment
when approached for a response. Was that the spice Metro Prime four, Yeah,
because it literally says try four will bring a new Metro. I knew
Princess peach Luis mentioned two and the long awaited Metro Prime four meanwhile still holds
a TVA and I didn't read that far ahead. That's funny. Sorry,
I actually messed that was not supposed to be clickbait like everything else is.
But that's everything from euro Vision. What a great year? Who are you
voting for? Everybody? I mean, I mean, at this point,
at this point where we're just nibbling up the juicy little colonels that drop on
the floor, but it's obviously happening, and we're just waiting and in the
meantime suckling the teat of excitement from anything that leaks, so it gets you
dropped. Yeah, I just want to see it. I have no idea
when we will actually be able to see it. The fact that like there's
no outlandish like uh, you know this, this new switch is unlike anything
if you expect or it really does seem like it's going to be another hybrid,
possibly with a camera, but it's just going to be beef here and
can do hopefully some cool upscaling. That's true. The Eurogamer article didn't say
anything about a camera. I don't know, didn't say anything about a camera
in general. It didn't say anything at all about this switch to looking or
presenting in any kind of way other than what we all kind of expect.
VGC did not say anything about a camera either, and by what we expect,
I kind of just mean a handheld probably with joycons of some form.
You know. Every time we've done one of these titles and thumbnails, I've
had to find a different rendering of the switch too. And there's a new
one right now that is circulating, which I think people I don't know who
makes these. I honestly think these sites like euro Vision and IGN in place,
when they do a report on a switch, they pay a three D
model. It'll like make a new like fake switch for the clickbait. But
the newest one that I've used for this one has like a flip up screen
kind of like that A and Ear I but like I could see it being
something like that or something like crazy joy cons or something blah blah blah blah
blah blah. But at that form factor of like this, you know what
we want. But when before the oil D switch came out, everybody was
talking about rumors of the switch pro and the four case switch, I made
a thumbnail that was like the switch Pro and it was just it was pretty
much exactly what the oil D switch was gonna be. It's just the switch
but with the screening the screen, and I fuck nailed it. You know
What's funny? Actually, except I made the front a different color and they
never did that. It's not that funny. But back when like I was
doing switch stuff very early on, I would do the switch, I would
hold the switch in thumbnails. The Bazil is so big and ugly. Even
from day one, I hated that Bazil and like I just I was so
distracted by it really reminded me of like my old LCDTV I had before we
got four KTVs that had the really thick black border around the edge, and
before the border was gone. So in thumbnails from the very start you can
go back to some of my early switch content. I was photoshopping whatever game
I was talking about onto the switch, so I didn't have reflection glare,
and I would get rid of the border every time I would go to the
edges. So whenever anyone talked about a revised switch, I always said,
you've got to bring that screen out. Yeah, and I hope the next
one. I mean, Nintendo's first generation of handhelds is always ugly. There's
always something you're like, Oh, they didn't try this one, they'll try
on the next one. I wish the we You didn't suck so much that
we could have had a revised we pad because that one, it's just the
most egregious. Dude, if you do you have a weiu pad here by
chance, it is so big and the screen is like this big right in
the middle of it, and it gets me every time I see it.
I'm shocked by how ugly it is. Keep asking me if I'm ever gonna
hack a wei because there's a hack for it. I mean, a we
You. Why would I ever open that thing up again. There's no reason
to dive back into the wu I. I don't want to. I don't
want to be that guy because read it already hates me. But there it's
a wee. You read it, and I swear you still go on there
to this day, and they still gas up the WEIU with how good it

they're all buddy buddy in there, and it's so nice. But at the

sorry. The only saving grace that's making me want to break out my wi
you again is that you can play we games HDMI. It is not a
revisitable console. It's a huge pain. It's the least revision you gotta get.
You gotta get the Wemo and nunchuck, you gotta get the stupid censor
out, and you gotta you gotta make sure your game pads charge. You
got so many peripherals. You gotta the only reason it's like playing in VR.
The only reason to load it up is if you did manage to amass
like a virtual console library and you want to go back in and just play
some classics. But even then it's not worth it. Look at this thing,
yea, it's a hideous looks my guy that it does look like a
leap broke. There's so much wasted space on the console, Like, what
is what was that for? That? It actually? Okay? Do you?
But do you remember there was a lot of features on this thing that
they never used. There was like a there was an icon on the home
menu for some sort of browser or something that never got activated and was never
used a browser. It was not the browser, not saying there was an
icon on there for some sort of news tab or something that was never never
use it as a TV remote, which I found in the front. Does
anyone in chat remember what the app is I'm talking about. They talked about
it. It's kind of like this thing ir Rita, except they literally never
used it. God, this thing's hideous. It I gotta say, growing
up in college with that was awesome. I loved it at the time of

a Japanese developer called no To Crime and they're working on a game for Nintendo
Switch, and they announced on Twitter two days ago we have a new game
announcing next week. It'll probably be on the fourteenth Thursday, but we're not
really sure. Yeah, this guy's never please anticipate what this supernoed game will
be like. So yeah, I mean this anymore. In their bio,
it literally says making game for Nintendo Switch. They're kind of they're saying they're
revealing it in a week, but they don't really know when. And that's
because it could be because directs kind of they have a date that they kind
of maybe go out, but developers and they're a too sure. I think
we talked to Leam about that. How that director's kind of happened. Yeah,
they also don't tell you what it's going to be used for in the
direct. They say it could be in the director you might even get cut
without knowing. Yeah, so like this, so the developer themselves not knowing
when they're revealing their own game next week could suggest they're waiting for the switch
that no director reveal it. Yes, and it's literally a day after when
we got one last year. Yeah. Yeah, it's also it makes for

His last game was announced at then direct as well. I think it makes
sense for a new super World or sometimes a comedian and game creator. I
think it'd be pretty crazy if we got one next week. I mean,
they usually do it around the middle of September. But I think that they're
kind of a little behind. They've been behind like this past its like since
COVID Basically it felt like they've been behind with announcements and releases and stuff.
So I think they would expect. I would expect like a week after,
two weeks after, which would be great because it'd be great to see a
Nintendo direct drop while we're in Japan because we can go like should woo you
and see it on the big screen. Sometimes they do it. They play

big screen in the middle of the day. I don't think we'll be there

into buying every single Nintendo Switch variation. The two main ones I guess there
was there was three, but the two main ones that are actually different two
Nintendo's switch light animal Crossing themed switches that have animal cross pattern on the back
and on the front. They look exactly the same as pink and blue normally
do, but they have a little leaf new leaf leaf in the bottom right
hand corner, almost like a wood looking pattern. So the coral and the
turquoise switch lights, they just put a pattern on the back, which I
think is cool and it's a it's a good way to reuse the surplus.
This is one hundred percent them getting rid of over stalked colors that they already
have and they're just slapping because you can just slap designs on those so easily.
But this also comes with Animal Crossing. So for two hundred dollars,
it's a bundle that comes with the game, and then the other bundle is
Mario Carbon they've been doing since twenty eight. But this is an old one,
right, isn't It isn't. I'd be surprised if it is. It
really, I think it's a regular And why was that even a big deal?
It wasn't. It wasn't a big deal because it's got a little leaf
button. It was a big deal because I keep saying that this is how
they should get rid of on the Mario One, on the Mario Mao one.

I'm not a bundle that was announced with the Animal crossing bundles is the
Mario Kart bundle that they've been selling since twenty So it's not a standard switch.

comes with Animal Crossing. You haven't done a switch Light bundle and those games
are still sixty They're never coming down on price, so it's literally a free
six dollar game with a special edition console. I think it looks kind of
cool. It looks cute for the switch light with him. That's kind of
crazy because then that puts the switch console itself if you want to subtract the
game at like one hundred and forty dollars, so you need to get both.

didn't play you played. You know, you really didn't play much. By
the time you played for like two hours, and by the time you had

game and they haven't changed with the times since they're less. But I do
agree. The thing that really sure it's being when people are like, yeah,
it hasn't changed, it's just fall Out in space or it's just Skyram
and space. It has changed because they got rid of the core element that
made those games fun, exploration and traveling and going a to B. I
don't know, maybe I'm insane, but the most fun I've had in games
like Fallout and Skyrim and Zelda and any open world and Red Dead is the
journey of getting somewhere and the adventure that I make along the way, not
necessarily what I get when I'm there. I don't necessarily remember every mission I
do, but I remember almost my entire adventure, and they've stripped that out.
But that's what made fall Out in Skyrim the games they were. So
it's not fall Out in Skyrim in space, it's fall Out in Skyrim.
Talking in space, it's Skyrim cross Mass Effect because like, yeah, I
agree with that, it's Skyrim, but the map is split into a thousand
fragments and you have to enter a menu to go to the different fragments,
so it does ruin the exploration part. A lot of people, when I
was complaining about the way you travel, they were like, but you love
Massive Effect too, It's with my favorite games. I'm like, yeah,
but that game's thirteen years old, and I didn't have any wild expectations at
that point of being able to do what I can do in something like No
Man Sky. But I had some wild expectations for Star Field because they literally
keep calling it an unparalleled freedom next gen PC game where you can go anywhere
and do anything. Yeah, they really botched that, and you can't need
They needed to manage expectations, and they did a really poor They overhyped it
one hundred percent. It was Starfield the game, just to just remind me,
because like I gave up, I'm even caring about it. But was
Starfield the game that people were like pre purchasing ships like a million years No,
that Star's Citizen okay, yeah, yeah, which which was a million
years ago, and you can travel from planets yeah yeah, like Layership.
I'm sorry, I'm so confused. Do you not want to travel for seven
hours to get to Pluto? Well, the thing is, I would be
okay with that if when you got to Pluto it wasn't a jpeg image that
you clipped through the out the side instantly and you're goal posting right now.

of that trailer, that deep dive and the forty five minute trailer at two
minutes and twenty seconds, if anyone wants to go back and find it,
there's like a sweeping short of a planet, and then you see this big
moon in the background, and Todd Howard fancy shoes literally says, that's not
just a pretty backdrop. That is a planet that you can visit, except
it is a pretty black backdrop. It's literally a jpeg and you can't visit
it unless you fast travel to it. So it is a pretty backdrop.
It quite literally is I'm interested in your video. I want to know that
I want to know exactly what they lied about for the trailer stuff. Okay,
that's good because I'm excited to put it out. There wasn't too many
boldfaced lies. That one I feel was a bold faced lie. There's one
other one for a lot of it. Though, they do this thing in
the trailer where at three different parts they list the things you can do in
this part of the game, but it's literally three things each time, and
the only three things you can do so in space. They're like, while
you're out here in space, you can navigate asteroid fields, find derelict ships
to explore, or participate in dog battles. That is the three things.
There is no other thing. And also you don't actually navigate asteroid fields.
They're just sort of there because you don't have to go anywhere in the game.
There's no flying in the game. Yeah, that's very there's very twenty
thirteen of them to be you don't actually the features you know where you navigate
asteroid fields and no man's sky when you're actually flying somewhere you got to navigate
an asteroid field. You don't do that in staff field. But though it's
just funny that the three things they list each time are the only three things
you can actually do it. The space travel is very frustrating, like everything's
a menu, and the menus are and a load screen. The menus are
pretty, but they're there. They could be they could be a lot simpler.
You don't have to bury all this stuff in all different menu options that
game, and I it takes like four menus to land on a planet.
Yes, you can have fun with it, but that whole game is literally
pressing menu, going into your missions, finding mission you want to do,
hitting fast travel to the mission, and then going and doing like a fetch
quest or shooting someone or talking to someone, bringing up the menu, finding
the next mission you want to go to, well the next part of that
mission, and doing the same thing. It's constantly going through that mission list.
Yeah. I can probably rewrite out of memory my entire mission list right
now because I've been staring at it for ten hours. I've more than once
I have landed on a planet and realized I landed on the wrong part of
the planet, and then I got to get back on the ship and go
how do you know there's a fucking pin where you're supposed to go? Really?
Yeah, because I, well, I fast travel. I fast travel
from the missions, so I never get it wrong. So I there's a
pin on the map like go here, so I'm like okay, and then
I go and then I click on it, and then it's like, oh
wait, it was another thing that was overlapping the thing that you went.
And then I I'm on the wrong part out of the planet all of a
sudden. So when I get to the point that you're getting wrong, I
go back into my missions. Yeah, and I'm not doing it from the
missions now, and I do it in missions again. So sometimes when you
want to get somewhere, you got to go and your missions two or three
times to keep a fast traveling to get closer and closer, because what it'll
do if it'll fast travel, you're in front of the planet so that it
makes it feel like you went somewhere, and they'll do a little scan of
your ship to see if you have contraband, and then you'll have to fast
travel again onto the planet. And then if you want to get closer,
you might be able to fast travel again. But yeah, they're doing that
all from the mat menu is annoying, but so I do it from the
mission man so I should do that again. I have never opened up the
mission menu. It forces you to do it. What's the game I'm doing.
I'll forgive me for doing the wave points. There's a big dot in
front of my face. I want to follow the dot, you know,
wave points away point, Oh, the on the ground. Well no,
it's well the big blue dot that's in front of your face, that's like,
go here. I can't follow that because that's a Zenoblade two way point
where it will literally just be on the thing. But if there's like if
you have to go all the way up that way and go around to get
there, it doesn't tell you that it's just there and you're hit in visible
walls and b so trying to get that. Somebody in my chat said,
you hit the left bump, hit the arrows on the ground. Yeah,
he told me that, And then I did that and they go, oh,
the arrows are supposed to be there. Oh, I've had so many
bugs. It's actually in I actually haven't. That was the I had a
bug where I couldn't find my gun anymore, like I couldn't fire weapons anymore,
and the only way I could change it chat helped me. You can
bring up a thing where you type in code into your game, and I
did read I did reset character, and it reset my entire character loop and
made me naked and took everything off. But it reset me. It also
reset all the money I had up to that point, so I loaded back.
Actually I tried to load back, but my last SABE was an hour,
so I decided I just keep playing Pacifist because like, I'm not losing
all the money I've made. But I found later on Reddit you if you
do reset gender, it switches my gender. Not fucking dare you, which
is a great issue that everyone's having with the game right now. And that
reset my character too. It just made me a girl. But then I
reset back, but it wipe swapped. I swipt swapped, but it wiped
my appearance. I had to go see a doctument. Is amazing. I
had to go see a doctor and pay to fix my face. That's kind
of awesome. Yeah yeah, so that's just the face. Yes, but
it fixed I could shoot now, okay, just the face. You I
went to a doctor for that too, one yeah, fix it, we'll
see. I think I think the game is fine. I know it's obvious
why people are disappointed. The game is fine, but it is a disappointment.
Yeah, I'm having fun with it, but it's not a next gen
game. It's a last gen games. There are some pots that look very
pretty, and actually I do feel like it looks next gen, but there
are a lot of pots that look very ugly, you know. And I
saw a lot of stuff online before I played it, and most of the
stuff that I saw was this game is ugly. Like I was seeing clips,
not even people trying to shoot on the game, I was just seeing
clips. I think that just looked. I actually think it looks good.
I played it and I was like, this is this actually looks fine.
It looks very good, only in the beginning, so like I haven't really
opened up yet, so I think it's kind of can It's a mixed bag.
I think a lot of people think it's ugly when they get to barren
planets, but I don't think they're looking and I could be wrong, but
they could be looking for the wrong things because I'm also on PC, so
I've got all the lighting effects and the dynamic lighting and everything. And when
the sun starts rising on a barren planet and you see the shadows spread across
all of the mounds and everything and the stars, and it's gorgeous, Like
it is phenomenal. A lot of people turn the film Grain off immediately.
I like the film Green. Yeah, it looks good. Yeah, I
turned it off and I was like, this looks like an old Odyssey nine
movies. It's clearly supposed to be like like a space movie. It's cool
twenty one or Interstellar. There's a lot of Interstellar in the thing that blows
me away. The details and everything, the suits, the guns, the
environment, the physical like man made environments blow me away. There's some like
areas I'll go to where I'll see some contraption that has no merit on the
story, but it has all these intricate workings and details, and I'm like,
man, someone works so hot on this, like weird thing in this
station that no one's going to notice. Yeah, that's great. They did
a lot of work. It is a good Bethesda game. Yeah, but
it's just a But that's the game. I just wish if if they it's
such a it's a small thing, but it's a huge thing. If they
had the real time traveling where you could fly everywhere yourself and pilot your own
ship and actually feel like a space pilot hand solo guy. The game would
be probably one of my favorite games have made. All they had you take
that away and you've just got the bones of something that's missing something to me,
they don't even have to do it as seamless as something like No Man
Sky. They just have to hide it better. Like yeah, like what
Ubisoft is doing with a new Star Wars game. You fly into thet you
fly out of the atmosphere, and you go through clouds, and there's clearly
a loading screen there. But like I Leaubisoft can do that for a trailer,
but that's the cold in all, with all of their years of development
can figure that out game. I would be annoy by it, but I
would even be okay with Once I get in my ship, I take off,
I pilot it, I fly into the sky, and then I get
a cut scene and the cussing last like five ten seconds, and it kind
of puts me in space. And now I'm in space, and now I
can fly to the next planet. And the same thing will happen both ways.
So you can hide all the rendering, you can hide all the loading
the planet, and I won't actually get to fly. That a little disappointing,
but at least I will feel like I've done it the way it is
now, I don't feel Space Adventure at all. Now you just click around
on menus, Yeah it feels very game. Yeah, yeah, I don't.
I don't like that at all. What's there is a good game,
but it's not the game it was marketed to be, and it's not a
great game. Yeah. I mean again, I have a lot more to
play, I want to say. I don't know how much it's gonna keep
me interested. People are saying it things like twenty hours to good. You
know. I started having fun with it, and I'm about ten hours more
into having a good time, and I feel it waning because I'm just I'm
going through the motions with the men use and I'm leveling ups taking too long,
and I don't really want to do anything, and any thing I really
care about is getting a good ship eventually. But like, if I can't
fly it, why don't I really care? Yeah? So yeah, I'm
waning a little. My patience is waiting. There's one more issue than I
had that I forgot about. Uh for some reason, melee weapons. When
you take them out. The first time you use it, it doesn't work.
You have to hit it twice. Oh, I don't use every single
time I use a melee weapon. No matter what the melee weapon is,
I have to hit it twice for to use it the first time. I'm
sick of running out of AMMO it happens. So I've been swapping weapons.
I spent a long time last night when I was playing, trying to find
places to sell stuff because I was over and comfortable. And that's that's just
a beth As the thing. Yeah, No, I know, I remember
that I played a lot more Skyrim than I did the other beth As the
game, so everything's reminding me of Skyrim. He really wants, he wants.
No, he's right, he's right. We got we gotta wrap it
