00:00:03 Speaker 1: Rain drops. 00:00:05 Speaker 2: Breaking news, breaking news, breaking news, Bravo has hit pause on The Real House Boss of. 00:00:15 Speaker 1: Miami amid low ratings. 00:00:19 Speaker 3: All right, so let's get right into it. This is breaking news. The article just came on Variety. Variety is like an established source. Okay, this isn't a tabloid and not somebody on TikTok, honey. 00:00:35 Speaker 1: This is a reliable source from a credible. 00:00:39 Speaker 3: Publication by journalist Kate Arthur, who does a lot. 00:00:44 Speaker 1: Of reporting on Bravo and unscripted shows. 00:00:49 Speaker 3: So she has written that after weeks of worried murmurs in the Bravo sphere about the status of The Real House Miami, a source confirms to Variety that Bravo has indeed hit Pauls on the show. 00:01:09 Speaker 1: Which concluded its seventh season in October. The show, though beloved among devoted. 00:01:16 Speaker 3: Bravo fans, is the least watch entrgue among the network's for a Housewives series. 00:01:25 Speaker 1: Let's get right into it. I'm not shocked. 00:01:29 Speaker 3: I saw this coming, and the reason why I saw this coming is because a couple of things. Let's start with the fact that the Real Housewives Ultimate road Trip, celebrating twenty years of the franchise having each city represented. We got Teresa representing Jersey, Porsche representing Atlanta, Vickie representing oc The Zell representing Potomac, Kyle Richards representing Billy Hills, and Lee so Marlow representing Salt Lake City. The fact that a Miami Housewife was not part of that was DA did on a rival. That's when I knew this show is not coming back. I don't think it's paused. I think it's canceled. It may be canceled, which is unfortunate because I find the Miami Housewives to be enjoyable way more than the reboot of New York City, which also had low ratings, and I want to say the ratings. 00:02:35 Speaker 1: Or lower, much lower than Miami. Miami is coming back for a third You can't make this up. 00:02:48 Speaker 3: My New York City, excuse me, is coming back for a third try, although nobody watched the first two, so there's an argument to be made about. Okay, they tried with Miami coming back after being on palls for how many years were. 00:03:07 Speaker 1: We without Miami? Let's look in that. 00:03:17 Speaker 3: Oh, they were off the air for eight years, eight years and then it came back. Okay, because the show third season concluded in twenty thirteen, and in October of twenty twenty one, Bravo announced that the show will be returning to television as a Peacock original. 00:03:44 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:03:45 Speaker 3: So again, when I learned that No Miami Housewives was representing the road Trip, maybe. 00:03:53 Speaker 1: I said, this show is coming back, and if it is coming back, it's gonna be a very long time. 00:03:57 Speaker 3: I also did not think it was coming back because of what happened this past season. 00:04:05 Speaker 1: We're gonna rip the band aid and we're gonna have. 00:04:07 Speaker 3: A real conversation, because that's why you guys listen to Reality with the King, and that's why. 00:04:11 Speaker 1: Like Variety, Carlos King is a credible source. 00:04:16 Speaker 3: Incredible or relivebel I think we all were under the assumption that The Real Housewives in Miami was going to be on Paul's for a minute. Was because we knew that they had to figure out casting, and I think we all suspected that Julia and Gerty were on. 00:04:53 Speaker 1: The chopping block. 00:04:55 Speaker 3: I think we all suspected that, and in order for that to happen, I think they all knew they had to get casting right to make such a bold decision. And although we know they were casting people because I know people who live in Miami that were contacted and interviewed to be a part of the cast, right, So that's a fact. Again, Reality of the King is credible, maybe like variety. So I know people personally in my life who were contacted to be interviewed. 00:05:37 Speaker 1: So I do know that. 00:05:39 Speaker 3: They were trying to get casting right. But I also believe that when it comes to casting, you have to find the right people, which is why Jersey has been on pause for two years. 00:05:54 Speaker 1: Because they have to get casting right. I think Miami is going. 00:05:59 Speaker 3: To be because at least with Jersey, and I'm gonna tell you all the difference between Jersey and Miami Jersey being a pause is very different because at the end of the day, although we all did not love their last season before they got put on palls, the ratings were fantastic. 00:06:21 Speaker 1: The ratings were through the roof. The ratings were high. So although we all had. 00:06:28 Speaker 3: A visual reaction to the Teresa Versus Melissa and they did not even get a reunion. 00:06:36 Speaker 1: The season still had high ratings. 00:06:41 Speaker 3: Unfortunately for Miami, Miami never produced high ratings even in Live Same Day Life plus three. It just wasn't a ratings juggernaut, but it is a show that's a fan favorite. 00:06:53 Speaker 1: And that's why I always tell the girls when you are the fan favorite on Twitter, Instagram. 00:07:02 Speaker 3: Or even TikTok bitch, even Facebook. 00:07:06 Speaker 1: That don't mean shit. Don't believe the hike. People love Miami. I am people. I love Miami. 00:07:15 Speaker 3: But I can also admit that this past season was hard to watch, and I even said, like, you got. 00:07:21 Speaker 1: To get rid of some people. I never went on record saying who those people. 00:07:24 Speaker 3: Should be because I don't think that's fair. 00:07:31 Speaker 1: To say those things. Sometimes it just depends. It depends. 00:07:35 Speaker 3: I didn't feel like it was fair for Miami because Miami did experience an eight year. 00:07:41 Speaker 1: Hiatus and I didn't want this to happen. 00:07:45 Speaker 3: So that's why I never once publicly said who I think should stay and go. But again, it's pretty obvious that when it comes to this show, it had to be done. But it does beec the question why is New York returning? Because New York is not good? 00:08:11 Speaker 1: It's it's. 00:08:13 Speaker 3: And I and I think that's the confusion for all of us. It's sort of like, Okay, we all get business. It's a business decision. But why does New York get a chance after chance after chance? The reboot is not working. The reboot is a it's a boot, you know, boot, the reboot boot, the reboot child. So it's not working. It's not working at all, and at least with Miami it's enjoyable. 00:08:47 Speaker 1: So I from my research. 00:08:51 Speaker 3: I think New York reboot ratings were lower than Miami, but they get a third try, and they don't have a fan base. I don't know one person who's begging and eager to watch the RHNE reboot. I don't know one person, but I know a lot of people who love Miami. So it's very sad that their fate is now. 00:09:20 Speaker 1: I mean, who knows. 00:09:22 Speaker 3: I on one hand, is the show going to be canceled officially? 00:09:29 Speaker 1: That that is something that I just don't know. 00:09:40 Speaker 3: Jersey would never be canceled the I Teresa Judais. I mean, Jersey never had a ratings hit to deserve to be canceled. Dallas ratings were horrible that unfortunately, no, she deserved to be canceled. 00:09:57 Speaker 1: It just did. 00:09:58 Speaker 3: There's no Dallas House without line locking, And you could take that how you want to. 00:10:03 Speaker 1: It's just the truth. And I'm here to. 00:10:04 Speaker 3: Be honest, when she got fired and listen, I totally get what she did. That show should have been canceled after she got fired because none of those women were even. 00:10:18 Speaker 1: Interesting without her. 00:10:21 Speaker 3: And we've seen that Miami at Last has a very interesting cast. I love Larsa Alexia, they have a strong cast, but I just think there's so much going on with them that. 00:10:41 Speaker 1: I don't know. For some reason, the audience didn't take men take to it. 00:10:48 Speaker 3: And the other reason why I've said is because it's a predominantly Hispanic cast of women, and as a person of color, a black person, I want to see more people of color on television. And on one hand, a lot of housewives for so many years was the number one shoan Bravo now is Billley Hill's Housewife. So there are people out there who obviously are watching women of color on these shows. So what is it about Miami that isn't working for a lot of people who aren't tuning in in droves? What is that about? And that is just something that it's going to be hard to figure out. But let me know what you guys think, because one thing that I think is interesting is the fact that the show does have a fan base, but the fan base isn't long enough or strong enough for it to survive. 00:11:58 Speaker 4: This potential camp relation, and that, to me is going to be even why we're gonna have to watch and see what happens, because at. 00:12:08 Speaker 3: The end of the day, this isn't a surprise, but it's a very. 00:12:17 Speaker 1: Sad and bad one. So rain Drops, let me know what y'all think. Are y'all surprised by this news? Sad by it? Are y'all also wondering why New York City reboot hasn't gotten the boot yet? Let me know in the comments. You know where to find me.
