[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast.
[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to Forty K. Lorkas with me, John Barsati and Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_02]: This cat.
[SPEAKER_02]: On today's episode, we're going to try again after John actually presses the record button.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a real thing that happened by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not joking.
[SPEAKER_01]: We did this entire cast.
[SPEAKER_02]: The tire cast I looked over my shoulder to make sure it was recording saw the red button thought it was recording and realized afterwards I never pressed said red button.
[SPEAKER_02]: Have I gotten up four times to check the red buttons and pressed?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: I got to check more times during the cast.
[SPEAKER_02]: Have also yet.
[SPEAKER_01]: Have we been talking for one hour and recording the entire conversation?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, to make sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: Does any of it have to do with four to eight?
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good news for all of you.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was our second round.
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you bet on our first round?
[SPEAKER_02]: So there we go.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: So before we get going, as always, please follow and leave a positive review in the cast.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is actually really pumping our audience.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're I think we're over half a million downloads now.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's spotifies recommending us all over the place.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's really just because you guys say like and then you listen.
[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you for doing that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Please, like, one of the big things, leave a comment.
[SPEAKER_01]: It actually is great for the analytics.
[SPEAKER_01]: It puts it out to more places for whatever reason.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it works, but talk about us and, like, the nanomachines of Spotify.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: technology.
[SPEAKER_02]: So with that also, owing to is in the show notes.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a link to our discord as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you haven't joined already, please join the discord.
[SPEAKER_02]: Get totally free.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a great repository for us.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting a lot of both positive feedback, but also really good constructive criticism in there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the changes we've made, the audio balancing came out of there.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's also a really good community in there.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so far been really, really positive.
[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people coming in with, hey, this is my favorite letter, which is my favorite topic.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you guys cover it?
[SPEAKER_02]: But also talking to each other and saying, hey, is anyone else read this?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is anyone else, hey, I like X?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is anyone have a resource for me on more?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to throw it out there for people that also know how many people.
[SPEAKER_01]: How many people maybe looking to get in the game?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or either what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Not even looking to get a game, but just loving to do the hobby?
[SPEAKER_01]: We've got channels for that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And people are very supportive.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, please, if you're in the discord or you're joining the discord.
[SPEAKER_01]: The rope you're my, I love seeing a lot of shows.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love what you're working on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, actually, I was about to say later tonight, I'm going to put up photos, but it'll be like a week and a half ago.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to throw up some pictures.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm playing the night on my new board where I read it all the terrain or playing someone.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll be some photos up tonight of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I love the journey.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love journey picks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do not give a shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: If your models are the best painted, the worst painted, the whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just like, I really do enjoy it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's cheesy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I say, I just like the journey.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, this link in here for our Patreon for those of you who's joined our Patreon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking to you via the new microphones.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you have Patreon things, this is stuff we're doing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Our Patreon is simply it's your choice.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sadly, we don't give you anything for joining our Patreon other than a thumbs up behind the scenes.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you are looking to play Forty Kay.
[SPEAKER_02]: At any level, Brad is a Forty K coach.
[SPEAKER_02]: He does everything from, I've never played this game in my life.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you make it?
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't embarrass myself on day one.
[SPEAKER_02]: All the way up through, I've got a six hundred person five day event coming up.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to win it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you help me out?
[SPEAKER_02]: Brad covers all those areas is very, very, very good coach.
[SPEAKER_02]: The luxury of playing the game for thirty years.
[SPEAKER_02]: He knows it pretty well.
[SPEAKER_02]: And being one of the top players in the game, actually.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I just, I'm just even playing it for a while.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people who've done that and haven't been top five.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that most people are typing in when I have said I am sure they are not.
[SPEAKER_01]: I need to know that, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna hold a bread old man.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people with Gmail addresses have gotten very random email.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been very confused by.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been just putting my IP address up exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's one seven two point one the night eight through the ring.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, on to the elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as we said in the last cast, the elder are one of the first playable races in the game.
[SPEAKER_02]: That means that from a lower standpoint, I believe their number two to the space marine.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is in the nineties, early nineties, if you're going to go to late late nineties.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, they were all as I've read about this there.
[SPEAKER_01]: We would say late eighties.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's eighty nine.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's still.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it made it into the eighties in my mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were technical.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was first when my when I think forty k I of course think when I started playing which was second edition.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But second edition was ninety.
[SPEAKER_01]: I should probably look at the screen.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ninety four.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the second issue came out ninety four.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you started in second edition, you would be playing in the late night.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's actually when I was playing.
[SPEAKER_02]: I played right to start a second edition.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to throw up that between both John and I if you play us and you're a young lad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have models on the board frequently.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but they're older than mine.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have a number of, it's only my imperial units, but I have, I have Imperial Guard units that are older than most of you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have metal elder than is over twenty five years old.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have an ever-saurus sass and I, I believe I bought.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right on ninety four.
[SPEAKER_02]: It would even ride around that area.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have to check, but yeah, he, he old.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, speaking of the elder line, who?
[SPEAKER_02]: The elder line in this regard actually falls the same category of, they have not changed very much.
[SPEAKER_01]: Give me some new scopes to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want, I'm taking that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to call them up and I'm again, props.
[SPEAKER_01]: The new scopes they're doing for the elder are spot on, Primo, however.
[SPEAKER_01]: The same commercial in that I see in a white dwarf from the third years ago has the same, I would say striking square of people, they just got a new line.
[SPEAKER_01]: The same warp spider, the same warp spider, the Chinese spear.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're all the same.
[SPEAKER_01]: They change the base.
[SPEAKER_02]: Warlock, Garcia.
[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, man.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's on the way towards the gym.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right towards the gym.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's changed.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I when writing the notes for this.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the way I write the way we've written notes for the cast is I pull the old code access.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm looking at secondition code access.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm looking at images of here's how you paint your army.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm looking at the closet behind me going at the same model.
[SPEAKER_02]: Although the one I have in closet is at least a resin so it weighs less.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this game used to be with a harm people with this game, like an old mental being, beautiful days.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, but let's dive into the elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll start off what is an elder, because we should have covered this in the first one.
[SPEAKER_02]: So elder are just their elves.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's Tolkien elves, but with a little bit of a twist, but it's Tolkien elves were shorter.
[SPEAKER_02]: in the elder are actually taller than humans.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're taller.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're taller.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're taller than the thinner, but they're not weaker.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're actually stronger in fashion.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: We've got in talking.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are a little bit weaker.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're just they're more accurate.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're they're the elder are superior.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's just call it what it was.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're they're they're taller.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're stronger.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not faster.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not more durable.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're wildly not more durable.
[SPEAKER_02]: Aren't they, I mean, he's a, then a guardsman.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when I talk in Perium, I don't talk us.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm getting.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's only I'm getting.
[SPEAKER_02]: I said, it's like, I hear you, but like, traverse the space Marine.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you went Brad versus random elder, yeah, I would get tooled up.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what quickly.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's all.
[SPEAKER_02]: And kind of to that to that end, let's talk about the elder physiology.
[SPEAKER_02]: So some of this as any time we talk about how GW writes physiology, any of you with degrees and science get said.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some people are about to be mad at us or to saying some of this is just quotes.
[SPEAKER_02]: The elder heart beats at twice the speed of a humans.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now does that?
[SPEAKER_02]: are there, is there lung capacity different, which would have to be, which would not mention how about their, but you didn't mention the brain a little bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, according to the GW, that's allows them to move at basically impossible speeds.
[SPEAKER_02]: They move it and raise vampire speeds almost.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: where you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the biggest thing is it's that one of my favorites is the in the codex that they talk about.
[SPEAKER_01]: Inquisition, seeing elder talk me elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And their movements are disconcerning.
[SPEAKER_01]: They actually they move so fast and so precise that it actually puts you in.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, honey.
[SPEAKER_02]: The example I liked with him when I code X is said that watching an Eldar move at full speed is like trying to watch the wings of a hummingbird move.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just visually we can't do it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Does that translate to the table top?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll talk about sometimes it has.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll get into that in a little bit here.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I want to go into because it goes into the fall.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: We want to talk about physiology, but also the Eldar mentality.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I might dive into a little bit though, is with the Eldar physiology and the way that they move, the speeds they can move at, the actors they move at.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of funny that the stories get kind of funnier on the system.
[SPEAKER_02]: But Brad's made a really good story about the inquisition talks about like watching the Eldar move is unnerving.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Eldar, the same thing about the humans, but in a negative, it's a viewpoint of like, hey, it's every human injured.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why would they walk like that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, one of my things is, if you've seen the ring,
[SPEAKER_01]: When she gets out and she moves all crazy, she keeps pause moving.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty much how Eldar feel that humans move.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, we're talking like a guy who's at the bottom of a hive, we're talking about a space where they're like, why are you walking like that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you injured?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you should get help from her.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, don't you guys have doctors?
[SPEAKER_02]: They should fix it.
[SPEAKER_02]: So with that, the Eldar physiology, though,
[SPEAKER_02]: is a little extreme.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by a little extreme, I mean, they actually can jump higher and farther than space marines.
[SPEAKER_02]: They can move at speeds, primar, struggled.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's where we get to the end salotaires, things of nature, where is my armor better?
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Does anyone touch me?
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely not.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing matrix stuff in matrix.
[SPEAKER_02]: In matrix, they're an example.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's how the L.D.
[SPEAKER_02]: are moved.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're, for once, G.D.
[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't rip that off because matrix came out after the L.D.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's a big thing on this, but that's everything about Elnar is extreme.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: In their mentality, what they do, and we're going to talk about aspects.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, and I think talking about aspects in this test, but like the area, I just want to really dive in on Elnar because it's going to get into a point.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to make it a second here.
[SPEAKER_02]: In the lore, there is nothing in the universe, barring maybe an orc warboss, who could stand toe to toe with an L-DAR and Han-Kovat.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are so fast, so strong, so flexible, so perfect.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait for it though.
[SPEAKER_01]: to other things because they're cheating.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: One, well, one's not cheating.
[SPEAKER_01]: One is they put in hundreds, possibly thousands of years ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a year or so.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're at this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: A practice.
[SPEAKER_01]: So of course, you're better than everyone else.
[SPEAKER_01]: And here's the cheating part.
[SPEAKER_01]: They can kind of Jedi see in the future.
[SPEAKER_02]: They can take a close in the future.
[SPEAKER_02]: But so one thing about the Eldar is that that piece of in the lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some stuff we're going to talk about here is you're just like, wow, they really couldn't lose anything other than slenash.
[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, yeah, that's how it was written to be.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is this idea that the only reason the humanity even exists in the universe is because the Eldar I've lost too many people to do anything about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're basically there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Again, the next one you're actively hiding from the L.D.R.
[SPEAKER_01]: Empire was, I'm going to again date myself on this, L.R.
[SPEAKER_01]: and I'm going to screw this up because Melibonion, L.R.ick was Stormbring.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, there we go.
[SPEAKER_01]: His race was, that was the L.D.R.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are the race that dominated the entire world.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then just kind of went and hung out on their island, which elder are kind of hung out in their section of the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: And just when we conquered everything, everyone serves us.
[SPEAKER_01]: And people didn't even know they existed effectively.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we rule everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, we don't know who you are.
[SPEAKER_01]: But if we wanted to go over there, we could.
[SPEAKER_01]: We could.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like,
[SPEAKER_01]: But are you?
[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, so I'm going to keep doing our thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: One of the little fun piece about the elder that I do enjoy is the elder obviously are very touched by the warp to say the least.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the challenge with this is that they actually use, they don't communicate just by voice, but via everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they understand, legitimately, so Eldar, tiny things of body language speak volumes for an audience, just their position, how they're sitting, whatever, they expect you to also understand everything about their tone, their posture.
[SPEAKER_01]: how I said it, the volume and not a volume of yelling, just a slight little bit of a pitch and inflection.
[SPEAKER_02]: You should, the word.
[SPEAKER_01]: You should clearly understand it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was big hander and actually understand it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Mandarin has this problem where they will say something to someone.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're like,
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you mean this?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, obviously, I didn't.
[SPEAKER_02]: But where this gets to be funny is that the L-DAR, because of this, they can communicate very, very quickly with each other.
[SPEAKER_02]: They can, you know, what would take us multiple paragraphs?
[SPEAKER_02]: They can say in three or four words, but he's in body language and what have you?
[SPEAKER_02]: The L-DAR forget a lot about that they can't do this with humanity.
[SPEAKER_02]: So there'll be some sort of like chaos or xeno incursion coming down on humanity.
[SPEAKER_02]: The L-DAR will rush over to tell humanity about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And after five minutes of trying to explain something that should have taken the elder thirty seconds, they realize to take them two hours to explain humanity.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they just decide to just kill at all humans there along with the chaos.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just easier.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or not even that.
[SPEAKER_01]: They'll just let the fight happen.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then kill whoever's left.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll deal with this after the fact.
[SPEAKER_02]: The action.
[SPEAKER_02]: It comes up a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I should go back to the brain.
[SPEAKER_01]: The elder brain is significantly different.
[SPEAKER_02]: The most important part about the elder in modern forty k is the path that they're on.
[SPEAKER_02]: The reason they're on the path is because of the way their brain functions.
[SPEAKER_01]: which is very, very different from humans.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because while the elder are precise, they do all this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, the elder effectively were supposed to be poets, sculptors, philosophers, and they became warriors.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the elder is, they feel everything, they said in multiple books, they said this, ten to fifty times more in loss, in joy, in whatever, which is why you had pleasure calls, which is why
[SPEAKER_01]: They get so driven to be the best sculptor, warrior, torture, whatever it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a lot of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm just saying you think, they're looking to be the best, but they also get there's OCD and then I'll there go hold my beer.
[SPEAKER_02]: The elders, elders, they feel he wants to fail at something.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they can't let it go.
[SPEAKER_01]: If there's a failed thing, they have to finish it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they have to finish it in a painful.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I have forever to know that I didn't finish this.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they'll do whatever it takes to do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And because of this, again, they broke the sky, my bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have the paths, which are the elder leaders.
[SPEAKER_01]: The elder scholars saying, we need to make sure this doesn't happen again.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's dive into the paths.
[SPEAKER_02]: So at the core, the path, there's a result of the fall of the elder, where the elder realized when they just chase their own impulses and their own desires.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have a tendency, oopsies, to go a little bit extreme.
[SPEAKER_02]: The problem is that the elder, that is their natural state.
[SPEAKER_02]: The elder need a direction.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they create what they call the path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the path is, you decide to become specialized.
[SPEAKER_02]: But in my specialized, we mean like you become a specialist.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably the better way of saying that things specialize.
[SPEAKER_01]: In the thing is, is the path, in the game, obviously it's the path of the warrior.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but elder society isn't just the path of the warrior elder society could be and we talked about the last time recorded, but the biggest thing is is like you could be a specialist in the guy that literally cleans.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, we were gonna we are but I'm saying that goes into everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I just want to point out that the everybody thinks that the path of the elder is only
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no, there's numerous paths.
[SPEAKER_02]: The idea is that when I'm on the path, and my goal is to be the greatest, and we're going to go for some past, some second, the greatest, whatever it is, that keeps me from falling to my impulses or chasing this endless, what is basically a descent into decadence, because what I'm the path I'm on is not a path of decadence.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a path that it's a pursuit of.
[SPEAKER_01]: If it's a pursuit of something that benefits the society, because if I just leave you alone, you will obsess on something.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's something that might be really shitty.
[SPEAKER_01]: So again, we broke the sky.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to not do it again.
[SPEAKER_02]: A key thing on the path though, is that as much as we have an elder being OCD, the paths do from most Eldar have a completion point.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about the ones who don't in a second a little bit, but
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the idea is that I would join one of these paths and I would do it until the point that I have decided that I have achieved the path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And now they're aren't lazy.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they say they've achieved the path, they've achieved it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then because you're living thousands upon thousands of years, you would then pivot to the next path.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a normal thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: So when we talk about a path, once you decide to be like the first one will do is a path of the artisan, you will not be an artist likely for your entire life.
[SPEAKER_01]: It could be.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the funny thing about that is they're supposed to be a completion and you're supposed to learn something else and that is what Ellen are supposed to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is if you become too good at your path, then you're never leave it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you not only are you probably not going to do it your own self, but other people won't let you come to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you were doing, if you become the greatest at it, elder are like, sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're too good.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is what you do now.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, let's dive into some of the non-combat paths for a little bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, the first one I would talk about is a path of the artist.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this one's important, I think, because this is my favorite, actually.
[SPEAKER_02]: One of my favorites.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I find this one really, really critical, because when we talk about the Eldar Fall, the Eldar Fall, because they were chasing decadents and all these things, why?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because they were actually before they were uplifted by the old ones, they were poets and artists.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that is never left.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were the best.
[SPEAKER_02]: They were the greatest artists there.
[SPEAKER_02]: That never left the elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: And what Halbin was even post fall despite the fact that there were any constant state of Hellacious war.
[SPEAKER_02]: They still have a need for beauty and a need for the things.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what the path the artist is looking for.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just in everything about other.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this needs to be said in the path of the artists.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so important because when you look at elder armor, elder weaponry,
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The elder just day to day, where there's ships that are supposed to be made for a constant state of war are still, again, they think that everything the Imperium does is a nightmare.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And everything we create, they're not making fun of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is like, oh, you guys make bad stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, they think that must be a torture device.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we say that we're talking about like imperial cathedral.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They walked through this cereal cathedral and they're like, why did you hate everyone who comes here?
[SPEAKER_02]: What is this a prison?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that elder, again, because they're psychically resonance with everything, everything in elder society ships, everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: You basically have interaction with everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can feel everything from the wall, the structure to the weapon, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have a sense of interaction with this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can sense that because all of their things are made.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll talk about more later.
[SPEAKER_01]: But, Reath, the Reath, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all sung and created.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, that's where the path the artist is and is really critical within the elders.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because it does.
[SPEAKER_02]: It keeps them, the people on the path the artist and make everyone on the other paths happier.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they tell them, this is, even your structures, you walk into an aspect shrine where a whole cast about this, but you walk into a warrior shrine and it is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen in your life.
[SPEAKER_02]: The next one, though, actually, I like a lot is, because it's one I hadn't thought of until I read the code.
[SPEAKER_02]: Excellent.
[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, they have a path of command.
[SPEAKER_02]: In order to lead the Eldar, you need to, it's not just like, oh, Eldar Tim has been here through a few battles.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll pop him in charge.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, every commander, this is in leaders on multiple levels.
[SPEAKER_02]: You could also be leading other paths, don't forget.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if they have the word for nepotism and hell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're on the path of the command, it is a hard.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's because it's incredibly important path.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you are on the path of command, you are overseeing the survival of a race.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so these are, these are, I would, I was going to say to the most committed, but they're not.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're all equally committed to their paths and all, and all candor.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the people on the path of command, their goal is to be the kind of leader who never makes a mistake.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ever has nothing but the full support of the people behind them.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't get put into this.
[SPEAKER_01]: The path of command isn't like you, you went to a school for a couple years and now you're in command.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, you went down the path.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: This, again, you're a long, live.
[SPEAKER_01]: the phrase.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they don't go, hey, you did well in the last five years.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, well, you're in your freshman year and they're giving you command of squad.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, yeah, how do we run the path to command?
[SPEAKER_02]: Seven hundred and fifty years.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do a mild incursion over here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll let you lead these three people because they take this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if they take all of them very seriously, I'll there are very serious.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But one of the big things about Patrick Command is they know that they, and they're very serious about the fact that they think that these people are in charge of the survival of our race.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they don't give any chances.
[SPEAKER_02]: So when you see it all talk on the board, that's why he has those rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's gaining CP.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's doing things.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because of the fact that, oh yeah, this guy's been in training for, yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: multiple so many human lifetimes before he was given in charge of anything.
[SPEAKER_02]: Another one that I like a lot is the path of service.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is fantastic.
[SPEAKER_02]: I refer to it as, you know, ditch diggers.
[SPEAKER_02]: These are the ditch diggers, the janitors, whatever it is, the maintenance staff of the L-dark.
[SPEAKER_02]: Except the differences when these guys dig a hole
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the best hole.
[SPEAKER_02]: You would have been doing fry at the beauty and the perfection of the hole that they dug.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, what of my favorite things to think about?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the term XR, we're gonna say it like a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: And XR means a person that has, I guess, perfected, but he, he is now, there's no other path.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no other path.
[SPEAKER_02]: They use it.
[SPEAKER_02]: They call it fallen to the path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And XR is someone who cannot leave the path.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: For whatever reason, they just cannot see a life outside of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: But there's XR's effectively in every path.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the guy that cleans and he cleans so there is an exark janitor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he's so awesome and it is that people are just like I leave an understanding what just happened.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, but this is nothing's ever been this clean this anything and again, these people think about like none of the other function without this too.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I also want to probably like there's no tears in the pads.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's like, oh, you're a path of service.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a, I'll thank God, he's here.
[SPEAKER_02]: God, we think it's the idea if you didn't have enough people who were on path of service, they'd be saying, hey, can more of you go down this path because it's so helpful.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And everyone here loves this circle back to this elder do a fantastic job of elder and elder interactions.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll continually go back to and also their next.
[SPEAKER_02]: horrible dicks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Last one of my touch on is the path of Savot, which is also really a funny one to me.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the last of the non-combat Eldar paths.
[SPEAKER_02]: The path of Savot are the scientists, engineers, and historians of the Eldar.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which historian is fantastic and they do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: But also the Eldar historians will rewrite their history.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, I'm always like, like, like, like, I'm not sure how many elder historians there are.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they try to, but the biggest thing is this and the other scientists, the other scientists are actually working with shittier technology than they had before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because they don't use their full technological abilities because they can't use the warp.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, because we broke the sky, what we used to be able to just think about something and that created.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that is a real thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, people they want to say this and, you know, you read some of the large old elder would legitimately make reality happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: By effectively thinking about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: If old elder hadn't really known slenash was coming, they wouldn't have been able to kill slenash before.
[SPEAKER_02]: They should quickly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: One of my favorite stories about Eldar scientists will cover this more in a later cast, but there have been a few examples of the admec getting a hold of Eldar technology trying to replicate it and the inquisition has to get involved pretty quickly because of they couldn't replicate it correctly and now there's a full blown demon incursion or a planet has ceased to exist.
[SPEAKER_01]: One hundred percent of the old L.R.
[SPEAKER_01]: technology used to be how did the coffee maker work?
[SPEAKER_01]: I cast a magic spell and then the technology worked in all things that they did.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love reading stories of the ad-mex interaction with current L.R.
[SPEAKER_02]: technology.
[SPEAKER_01]: They also don't realize that every time I push the set, I want dark coffee and you're like, you just clicked some in the warp.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I push dark coffee.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, that's what happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like you had to press it all kind of with your back in a certain angle.
[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise you get everyone knows that when you're making dark coffee.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you saw you do a protective ritual.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, also.
[SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, of course, it's going to summon Scarborough and everyone knows that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, next thing you're going to say, you made two cups of coffee.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a different protective ritual.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, one thing before we dive into the warrior path, which is the bigger one, is that, no matter the path you're on as an elder, you are always a guardian.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, the elder have two levels of military effectively.
[SPEAKER_02]: The level one is their militia, which every single member of the elder, every living elder,
[SPEAKER_02]: is trained in the ways of battle when we on the table, topical guardians, and the Lord, the guardians, too, but they are taught how to fight and they fight almost as well as a space mine.
[SPEAKER_02]: So for the record, these are incredibly accurate and incredibly good fighters.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is not like you're overweight uncle who is in a molestia on the week.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's also talk about the fact that none of these are very long lived, but just like elves in all of fantasy, the other don't need to sleep like we do.
[SPEAKER_01]: They basically do the elf, meditate, it's trans steel.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they have significantly more time every day to do it.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also can't be poisoned, I don't think.
[SPEAKER_02]: Screw you.
[SPEAKER_02]: They can't see in the dark.
[SPEAKER_02]: night flight doesn't affect them because why not because why not, but that dive into the first one of the big one, but just the warrior path.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to do on our whole next cast is actually going to be on this, but I just want to kind of touch on it really quickly.
[SPEAKER_02]: The elder have a pretty strong sense of guilt.
[SPEAKER_02]: A strong sense.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they feel a little bad about this, but breaking the sky and creating.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also killing
[SPEAKER_01]: trillions of elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the warrior path was created by all Sermon and the idea is that they're going to return themselves into the greatest warriors that have ever existed.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this ends up becoming the eventually become aspect warriors.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to make it sound so dumb even though I love elder.
[SPEAKER_01]: Effectively, Sermon said we're going to punch our way back to salvation.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what they did.
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the warrior path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to dive into that our next cast pretty in depth.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_02]: The next one is the graph tag.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because the Elder actually utilized graph tags.
[SPEAKER_02]: The main one is the Falcon platform.
[SPEAKER_02]: I would say there are okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's one platform that they base everything off of.
[SPEAKER_02]: Those pilots are also on a path to be a pilot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is why a bunch of their bullshit rules have happened in freakiness.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is why they have tanks that fly and can move twelve inches in fire and fit and do some incredible things.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's because they're the greatest pilots in history.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which they should be.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which they should be.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to do a little dive travel on Eldar and the rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: But there's also the path of the sear who's probably, I think, when we think on the table top of what Eldar and most known for.
[SPEAKER_02]: You might cheat together for this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Warlock should have ten attacks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Warlock's are the only Eldar that have incorrect rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, banana.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have two.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're the only ones though.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to dive into that in a little bit here.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are literally the only disappointment in the code axis over over time.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to base on this.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have to prove yourself over a long span of time to even be considered for the path of the city.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you agree?
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Five.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, are you guys here talking about the late talk and some of their rules?
[SPEAKER_02]: The last one though that actually is important here is the path of the outcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as much as all these paths exist, they are pretty restrictive.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you could imagine like an adolescent elder being like, well, I don't wonder just so funny because you're like, adolescent elder.
[SPEAKER_01]: In some of that's wildly old.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that those three years, one hundred to three hundred.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like in my wild youth.
[SPEAKER_02]: In my wild youth years, I watch the thousand humans die of old age.
[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, the elder some some elder on this who are newer to the path, or even some forever will eventually leave the path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they leave it and when they do, it's to go kind of chase more of their basal instincts and we'll get, don't worry, you know where we're going, we'll get there in a minute.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is called the path of the outcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: They all usually become rangers and some of the past fibers catch all though because this includes
[SPEAKER_01]: Pathfinder's Rangers, which are doing continuing on with the Betterment of Elder Society, but it also includes, I don't know, corsairs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, more to ring it with you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which are, hey, is a corsair good?
[SPEAKER_01]: Roll to these six and see what happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: The thing about most people on the path of the outcast is a lot of them do end up going back later.
[SPEAKER_02]: So once you've joined a path of the outcast, just like any other path, you may at some point go back to your craft world to rejoin the original path.
[SPEAKER_02]: And in some of the older codexes, there are actually our stories of some of these elder who joined the path of the outcast, actually falling to chaos and then serving chaos gods.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I haven't seen that in any codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: In recent years, this is something I saw in the second.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I saw in the fourth edition codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: So this all predates y to k. So it might not be there.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to throw a gd of none of the most, just for a second here because
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have enough middle ground here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this might be because John and I debated politics for an hour before we started to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: But in the recent, we used to have a blending in the old, in the lower and now we have elder this dark elder of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not how the Lord has worked.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that's because there was no dark elder in the second.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, true.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why the dark elder added.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is that all of the people that are bad
[SPEAKER_02]: are dark out there and all the people that are good are held are but there's not the corsairs very are the great well yeah and that's not the corsairs because of course there's actually disappeared from the game for a while and then they brought them back in about like twice yeah they just came back again recently i couldn't be happy that they're back rules are
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, great models.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Eldar Corsair is a fancy term for pirates.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're called pirates because that's actually what they do.
[SPEAKER_02]: They tend to, they have these small ships in there and go fleets.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they fly around the galaxy invading ships, small colonies, doing small raids.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go to this again.
[SPEAKER_01]: One of the things where Eldar are kind of decks because Eldar don't think it's a big deal when they take something from the lesser races because
[SPEAKER_01]: Why wouldn't I you're a bug to me exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to die before some of the before my favorite program doesn't have any more seasons left.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me taking some stuff from you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why you're going to be dead before I know
[SPEAKER_02]: When you read the rules for Coursairs and we read the law for Coursairs, you realize it's ripped pretty heavily off sixteenth and sensed seventeenth century privateers.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they are.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're pirates slash privateers because they tend to still most of the Coursairs fleets still have a good amount of affinity and even in some cases direct.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're attached to craft.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not always but a lot of the time most exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have a pretty big how about this if something happened to their cough cough you will if their craft world cough cough Prince cereal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they come back with a quick.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean they are okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're our own thing and then you're like, hey, you attack my craft.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's more for anyone who's would have a private year was there much more private here than in the sense that they haven't, they operated independently, but if they had called back to the main crowd, what they do?
[SPEAKER_02]: But that being said, not all do.
[SPEAKER_02]: The downside of course, Sarah's where it becomes a little bit, and this some cool lore on this, we can dive into another cast, most importantly, courage to carry.
[SPEAKER_02]: One of the big fears, craft world's have about their coursehair fleets that work around them is that
[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, there's Andrew Carrey.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't differ that much.
[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, we can fall to the path of Drew Carrey.
[SPEAKER_01]: And once you fall to the path of the Chikari, and we'll cover this when we do Chikari, it isn't just a fall in namesake.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a fall in, oh, I have to do certain things to stay alive.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're like, oh, shit, am I just doing evil?
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't die.
[SPEAKER_01]: And now, oh, yeah, I've been alive for thousands of years.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm fairly compromised now.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this can happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Although this is, I mean, this is a fairly big rip into.
[SPEAKER_01]: fantasy, I mean, specifically D&D.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that those can just become drought.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is, this is the jukari are the drought.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll cover that.
[SPEAKER_02]: We covered jukari.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is that Kamara and the jukari also do represent a much more
[SPEAKER_02]: what I would call traditional mercenary element of the corsairs.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, for example, if you were a corsair and there was a game mutiny on your ship and you found yourself stranded, you might find yourself in Kamora fighting in the fighting pits of Kamora as a witch.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you become a succubus and Brad's lap because there's I'm foreshadowed a couple episodes ahead, but that's what we're going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a dropper at that point.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just saying we're going to the end of the alphabet as I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to who those characters are.
[SPEAKER_02]: One thing we mentioned before and we're going to dive into it again a bit further is the path like we just said is not the end from most elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: Most elder work multi path.
[SPEAKER_02]: So those of us who play D&D, elder multi class, they multi class rear wheel.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can theory could have been on four or five paths before you die.
[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of these paths again are on the path of the service, the path of whatever was the thing that you were doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you, again, have a such a long life that you might be on multiple paths and you're expected to do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: In the whole time, you were still expected to know the basics.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the basics are pretty hardcore about me.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's actually a really key thing there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldar don't forget.
[SPEAKER_02]: So also, yes, I'm seven thousand years old.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have a headache number.
[SPEAKER_02]: The things I learned to I learned four thousand years ago are still there.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the art is and let's say I did path of the art is in and I did it for a thousand years.
[SPEAKER_02]: Fast forward, three thousand years.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on a path of the warrior.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can still sculpt as good as I could when I was when I was at the end of that.
[SPEAKER_02]: That never goes away.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the next thing we want to dive into are the craft roads themselves.
[SPEAKER_02]: And before we dive into this, I just want to make a little kind of side note about the old art.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people that play in the game for a while who don't play Eldar, who really don't like Eldar.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the main reason that they feel this way is the Eldar has been so apically broken in rules over the years.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, multiple times game shifting to the people don't want to play the game anymore because of the Eldar broken.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's never happen.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to defend the Eldar with one simple thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that the Eldar had broken rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the Eldar where the only army whose rules match their lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why some of the truth is this is, it's a fact.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the earlier rules writers for Eldar were also the lore writers for Eldar.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is that in this, and this is the argument, and this has always been the argument for elves in any fantasy game and of sci-fi game.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you do anything for five hundred years plus, you should be amazing at it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you should be better than ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: If I just hit what happens on Wednesdays, I work at the jab at John's house.
[SPEAKER_01]: How long you been doing that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Five hundred years.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one blocks my job.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a really damn good job.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're just like, of course you're the best at it because you've done it longer than anybody else has done.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so I bring that up because as we cover the craft world, there will probably make a few comments here in there about some incredibly broken elements of the craft world.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to start with one.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to have a few in there.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're all pretty bad.
[SPEAKER_02]: So one of the quick note for you to the craft roads is elder players, a lot of them feel very strongly about the craft roads.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so they will paint their entire armies to match the craft roads.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as we go through a couple of them, I'm going to call out the color scheme you're going to see.
[SPEAKER_02]: You will see people with that color scheme quite a bit and they will lean heavily into that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I want to give the quick note on this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't feel that you have to do not.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I don't might.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, minor blinds.
[SPEAKER_02]: You get your own minor blind.
[SPEAKER_01]: Make your own.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, do your own thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do not like when people say that you have to do anything.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, not at all, but there are that these craft rules have deep and long lore just like with when we cover guard.
[SPEAKER_02]: And in Space Marines, two people will say, okay, this is my, so I think this is my Space Marine Army.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is my Salamander Army.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is my Ultraman Army.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is my Army.
[SPEAKER_02]: Craft Road had the same thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I just wanted to point that out to people so we know that.
[SPEAKER_02]: But, Amy, let's start with the former poster boys of the Eldar, the BL-Tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do like their color scheme, probably the best, because I can see it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's all white with green highlights.
[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, does that suck the paint?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, sucks the paint.
[SPEAKER_02]: White's rough.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, who's the biggest craft world dick?
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Bill Tan fans, but... Oh, they're such dick?
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, they hate everybody.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the Bill Tan.
[SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk about the Bill Tan.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the Bill Tan are the warrior craft world.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they are.
[SPEAKER_01]: When we talk about where you're careful, we're not just talking the, they mobilize for war.
[SPEAKER_01]: All the craft world can mobilize for war.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bill Tan thinks that anybody that's not on the path of the warrior, the aspect shrines.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have more aspect shrines than anyone else does.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, but you're not even close.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just by a magnitude.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a lot of path of warrior going on in the open.
[SPEAKER_01]: And because of this, they take very seriously the fact that the only way that they're going to fix the galaxy is by punching it in the face.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they, they want to kill it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And what makes them a little bit funny to me, because their dicks is the BL-TAN also view every race in the galaxy as less than them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And not less than them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like why?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's not insignificant to them.
[SPEAKER_02]: BL-TAN are also fully confident that the L-DAR are going to rise again and reclaim this.
[SPEAKER_02]: They do not think this is a we maybe we can.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a we are going to happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a matter of time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, the BL-Tan are the ones that actually have said, and this is a quote.
[SPEAKER_01]: One, and all our life is worth an infinite number of non-nel-darks.
[SPEAKER_02]: They actually were saying it to humans, but they were just like, yeah, it's implied that the town know it also applies.
[SPEAKER_02]: The town wouldn't be the town, but they understand it.
[SPEAKER_02]: The reason this gets to be funny is the BL-Tan, in all of their goals and stuff, also are trying to protect Eldar Chrome worlds.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the best about this is you have no idea.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no marking.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no nothing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, an elder Cromwell fell ten thousand years ago.
[SPEAKER_02]: Every structure on it has been destroyed.
[SPEAKER_02]: You just found a planet that's decent distance from the sun and we'll go ahead and colonize this.
[SPEAKER_02]: And out of the sky or web ways, you didn't know we're there, arrive an entire built-in army who don't say a word to you, but just kill everybody and then leave.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like basically, we call dibs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, what is happening right now?
[SPEAKER_01]: What happened?
[SPEAKER_01]: What happened?
[SPEAKER_01]: You could just be, the best is they give no shits.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they could have done it.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not leaking for fair fights.
[SPEAKER_01]: They just went, oh, a bunch of settlers are on this place.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're all done.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, bye.
[SPEAKER_01]: What even happened?
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I'm about to die, but I don't even know why.
[SPEAKER_02]: One side note with them on that is that because they're obsessed with protecting Eldar Crown Worlds, they have an especially hatred towards Orcs because the Eldar know the Orcs better than any race knows the Orcs.
[SPEAKER_02]: They know that once an Orc infestation has begun, it's never going away.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so the Eldar are very aggressive whenever they sense an Orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to say that they, we talked a little bit about this last time.
[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about a little bit about this because Bill Tan will try to engage the Orcs in space.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because once Orcs are on a planet, they ruin everything.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Bill Tan and Orcs are some epic battles because it'd be a little bit of basically hunting Orcs down.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Orcs don't really hunt stuff down.
[SPEAKER_02]: They just kind of mows you through again.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're happy to fight.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even know why.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they're okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this works for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was looking for a fight anyways.
[SPEAKER_01]: So cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the next, the crouper's cover is I Yandon and in case you thought painting, be all time was a pain in the ass.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do yellow and blue.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like you to point out that I ran all I ended in two thousand one and two thousand two GTs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, turn of the circuits.
[SPEAKER_01]: Over the rules, Brad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I ran two ten men units of rave guard with magon raw and l dread with ural and look at and three rave words.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're welcome.
[SPEAKER_02]: What broken ass rules did I end in half then?
[SPEAKER_01]: I got a two-up-reelable save and an inch.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I forgot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I forgot to mention.
[SPEAKER_01]: I also got a five-per-field in the pan.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: So in order to harm you, I had to hit you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I had to wound you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Then on at six options on a dice, you had to roll anything that wasn't a one.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you rolled the one, you could then try again.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you rolled the one twice, then one to third of the time, you could make the damage go away.
[SPEAKER_02]: Feel this was fair, Ben.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just love elder.
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_01]: That isn't even all the psyche's likely cast on my head.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's hard.
[SPEAKER_02]: Weirdly enough, I did really well.
[SPEAKER_02]: If it's something that was really successful.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I end and are actually interesting, more wise, because they were one of the largest craft rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: And as we cover the tyranny cast, crack and hit them and wrecked them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, again, crack and didn't hit them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the series did not do good things for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a species that can see it in the future.
[SPEAKER_01]: The craft world decided to power pivot into the middle of the Kraken.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, high fleet.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not we hit the edge will fight and we got all of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: We got all of it directly into the middle and just Queen's very rules did and try to fight our way out.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're real Prince, you're real came back and everything.
[SPEAKER_02]: They did beat the shit out of the news.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they actually, they destroyed.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they got wrecked, but also when you're talking about the death toll is catastrophic for the men's.
[SPEAKER_02]: One of the most important pieces historically by Ayaniden is that they were the ones who discovered the waste stones.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only way to preserve the other.
[SPEAKER_01]: They created the infinity.
[SPEAKER_01]: They did save the species.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Period.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's just it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is a cool thing with way out our functions.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we talk about like space marine chapters and some other ones they don't communicate they're well with each other.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's they'll do little bits of stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they'll do little bits of stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: The elder, holy the opposite.
[SPEAKER_02]: When I hand and figured out a way to deceive their souls with with the wasteones and with even the they really hold every single alert.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is how you do spirit stones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's how you do into the constructs.
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the blue prints.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a lot of intellectual property like filings that were being done here.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, everyone do this now because for elder, elder lives are precious.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very precious.
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, dying race, even though there's billions of them, but they don't want their solar.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, to reiterate, every time an elder dies, if you don't have the infinity circuit working, which is what the effect of the collective where elder souls go, and then you put them in spirit stones, and these waste stones, where you can do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The waste on spirit stones is the same thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they, if you don't do that, you're so immediately goes to Slanesh's dinner.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Slanesh eats your, it's really easy to eat.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's really easy to eat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You get murdered every, you're like, hey, if you watch the good places, is this, is this where, is this the flattening zone?
[SPEAKER_01]: We always used to like the flat.
[SPEAKER_02]: The idea, the other important thing about a Yandon is that they're the most diplomatic of all the races.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they actually, they work with humanity.
[SPEAKER_02]: They work with the towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like to be actually worked with a lot of the lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would say a lot of their, the stories, or especially originally of meetings with all of our, our because I ended.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I want to play this out.
[SPEAKER_01]: A craft world is not one ship.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is a it's a fleet ship ships and a big ship.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like one big ship and a bunch of fighters.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so it's well, we talked about last time it's the quarry and from the fact that they stole the idea from, you know, an all honesty.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: The last piece I'm going to touch on in my hand in is that they're very well every elder craft world uses rath constructs the iand and use them more than anyone because they took such heavy losses against the tyrannics and they have a lot of them so they're also know people who who build iand and armies tend to be very heavily in rathes
[SPEAKER_01]: They're also wildly skilled in it, too.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, their rates are better than those.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to cover rates in a couple of casts because I love rates.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're, they're lower on them.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing.
[SPEAKER_02]: From there, though, we'll jump into the same hot.
[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoy saying it wrong because it makes people send me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's S-A-A-I-M.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, S-I-M, and then Ha-N-H-A-W-N.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I go with S-I-M-H-N, but let's go S-I-M-H-N, who cares?
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I'm out.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, their colors are red with black highlights, and they just go fast.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's fast.
[SPEAKER_02]: It go real fast.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you body real fast?
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the Ricky Bobby of the crowd.
[SPEAKER_01]: The first to your last.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody knows that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the same hand are interesting because they're actually a couple of things about them that make them unique.
[SPEAKER_02]: First, they were one of the first craft roads to grab all their people from the original crown roads and booky out.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they exist the furthest from the eye of terror and the most time with like, but they also spend the most time besides dark elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Doing the old elder.
[SPEAKER_01]: exactly, because they left before any of the shit happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they were already, this is how Elder Society works.
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we're going to continue a lot of keep doing that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's manifest itself in a very key way in the way they're structured.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Sam Hain, aren't a like kind of peer image structure where the top leadership goes down, they're feudal.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're clans.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're straight up clans of guys.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: effectively.
[SPEAKER_02]: This would be a wild writer.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're effectively war bands.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what's with that?
[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's a collection of war bands who sit within one big area to this end.
[SPEAKER_02]: The other elder don't really like them very much.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's because they're not reliable.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that they don't think of them like, oh, they're evil or bad.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just that the way these war bands function, whereas most craft world, if you say to it, if it's a craft world, hey, we've got a danger of that a problem comes solve it.
[SPEAKER_02]: The craft world would then kind of unify itself behind it and come help.
[SPEAKER_02]: The challenge with Sam Hane is that some of them would, because some of the wild riders would come help.
[SPEAKER_01]: That is not their step clients.
[SPEAKER_01]: They effectively
[SPEAKER_01]: we're going to war and then each clan decides whether they're going to war right with you and a lot of times you get fifty percent sometimes you get eighty percent you know but there's never there's probably never a time I'm going to say this in people are going to message me this is the five times that they've always come together which is good message away
[SPEAKER_01]: But like the thing is, is that you get some of them to come and sometimes they just decide not to not to bother.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so for that, and this is why the other craft rules, they don't, maybe when I said they don't like Sam Haynes that's an unfair assessment.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's more, they don't rely on a really interact much with them because they're just not viewed as reliable to them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because also, again, we go back to that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eldar lives are precious.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Sam Heng goes, hey, you're in a losing war.
[SPEAKER_01]: If I show up, I will lose a bunch of Eldar lives.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not bothering to do anything else is that they're proud warriors and they just don't want to do things that don't have a, basically, Sam Heng goes, if I don't have an upside, I'm not showing it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that second part is really important with semi.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Hane are more obsessed with like honor and dignity than any other craft world, which is another reason why the crosses don't like them.
[SPEAKER_02]: They get Eldar in trouble a lot because Sam Hane's not just out of dignity as he is also
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a lot of pride.
[SPEAKER_02]: They will sit there and they will engage in battles and fights that they do not need to engage and fight in.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they want to show you the one of the best.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a very lasting of shows.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're not big orbital bombardment craft world.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're much more get down to get down and dirty.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's tons of stories where Sam Hane has legendary heroic stories about the crazy
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, John, the ex-star of the shining spears, tooled up this demon, but yeah, while you were doing them, like, ten other things got killed because you could have just shot him in the face, but instead you decided to do them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that happens a lot, actually.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, about this, not every time, but enough times you're like,
[SPEAKER_01]: Leotarch said to do this and they're like, yeah, but it'd be super sweet because I have a I have a bard with me right now and he's writing my my story my biography and I really would like and I need him to see what I'm about to do.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is credit.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to look awesome and he's like, yeah, but this is not what we're trying to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I'm going to look sick.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's live into my favorite though.
[SPEAKER_02]: So next, we're going to jump into what is actually my favorite craft world.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not because of the rules they used to have, which we're going to discuss in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, we're not going to discuss.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let me come over there.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll do a little late talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just before you shit on them as they have, as they deserve from.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to shit on you for way.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, the LA talk, they are blue with yellow trim.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like them a lot at their core.
[SPEAKER_02]: The LA talk are actually kind of a funny story.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm holding Brad off because what he's going to tell you makes more sense if I give you a bit more of their lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: The LA talk are, they actually are the most, are the kind of the most zealot of all the craft rules about the path.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they're really kind of, they're extremely, ain't all attentive about the path, which means a lot of there, the people leave.
[SPEAKER_02]: And like, now you guys are nuts.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I would say the majority of the LA talk are actually on the path of the outcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: the whole craft.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the other whole craft is in the path of the outcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so what they are is this craft world of Rangers, Pathfinders, Corsairs that are spreading themselves throughout the galaxy trying to, you know, first off find themselves, but they're not
[SPEAKER_02]: and they don't hate their property, love their craft.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're trying to improve the Eldar.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they're actually all, they're hunting down relics.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're hunting down changes in the war.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're chasing out in the imperial.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they are.
[SPEAKER_02]: And as a result of this, they end up partnering really well with my other favorite part of the Eldar, which is the Harley Quinn's.
[SPEAKER_02]: So these two go tend to go hand in hand.
[SPEAKER_02]: The harloquins because they're actually not a lot of harloquins are the keepers of the knowledge and they tend to choose their battles very wisely.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're going to choose your battles wisely, the best thing to do is to work with the craft world that knows the galaxy better than any craft.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a big thing that LA talk to us better than all of the other elderly does, which is the galaxy isn't war.
[SPEAKER_01]: things are changing all the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: It isn't like, hey, we scouted this years and years ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is an elder flaw because they're so long live.
[SPEAKER_01]: They go, well, what's over here?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, obviously, it's this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, man, it's been three hundred years.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been three hundred years since you were last there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's not that long.
[SPEAKER_02]: Why would anything change?
[SPEAKER_01]: Why would anything change?
[SPEAKER_02]: Why would anything be different three hundred years?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is literally wrong with your people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sector has changed hands three times.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, yeah, there are elder who were born before the town.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: So as a result of this, um, limit bread shit in a second, the way the, the way the LA talk wage war is actually hilarious in which what they do is they stelt the play out all of their Rangers and outcasts, snipe and pick up heart, the entire enemy put the whole enemy in disarray.
[SPEAKER_02]: and then open a web way and Harley Quinn's just come rushing out to finish the battle.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the greatest way to wage war that probably exists in all of Forty Kay and I have run these lists.
[SPEAKER_02]: This farming was totally bullshit.
[SPEAKER_02]: This army had a few rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: A couple rules here and there's that like this is going to be fun that you could interpret as being unfair.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, John says, oh, this is super fun, super awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you what happened in the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you brought your army, you have it on your cart next to the table.
[SPEAKER_01]: And before you get to do anything, John goes, hey, I got to run through your list because I get to shoot you before you get to put your models on the board.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have a shooting phase before the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not just before the game, before you put models on the board.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I forgot to mention that some of the things he can do is not just shoot you.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can tell you that some of your units aren't allowed to be deployed on the table.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like,
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even playing the game yet.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, yeah, you're not a lot of useless guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Until when later in the game, why I just, I misinformation that my shots and people, you're like, what is happening?
[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you getting to shoot me while I'm at home?
[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, while you were painting your miniature at your house, John shot your sergeant.
[SPEAKER_02]: And none of you can see the bearded ear grin I have right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it was such trash.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it is the, well, this was, I think of all the,
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll do a cast on the most broken rules, but I think of all of the broken.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was so irritating as all the lore to table top transitions.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's perfect.
[SPEAKER_02]: This was absolutely perfect because the writers did amazingly nailed what how would the LA talk wage worth?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they talk wouldn't just wage where I find you in the battlefront.
[SPEAKER_02]: They make it so you weren't even at the battle.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's okay with you on the way on the way to the battle.
[SPEAKER_02]: They would disrupt it.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you just knew that you were relying on to be at this battle or late and said they wrote a rule for that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Did the rule mean I played with two thousand points and you paid played with eleven hundred.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, totally did that.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's complete.
[SPEAKER_01]: It should also get to shoot me before again on my cart.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing's more annoying than getting a model shut.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's going to hide this model.
[SPEAKER_01]: You shouldn't hit it on your cart.
[SPEAKER_02]: for those of us who don't play at your level, but I'd one of the most stressful parts of the game is the deployment phase.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm there helping you with your deployment phase by reducing it.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't have to think about as many models you have to deploy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a late talk lost this rule.
[SPEAKER_02]: However, in eighth edition, they did get the rule back of Army-wide minus one to hit.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's just like Army-wide.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you could stack.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they were like, you know what, I'd rather be shot.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's something like minus four.
[SPEAKER_01]: How does it six-sided die?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the late talk work.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'd say this because I played them in the eighth edition for this reason.
[SPEAKER_02]: I could make it.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you had to on a six-sided dice roll a seven to hit me.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I would put that model in front of your army and just say, well, I don't want the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't follow by music explaining why people hate Elvis.
[SPEAKER_02]: And again, I didn't plan because of that.
[SPEAKER_02]: I actually played them because they actually played on the table top, the way that they were supposed to play.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm gonna give you props on this, because one of my favorite things, and I'm not a Necron Hater, but I do love the fact that they have dedicated their lives to killing all the Necrons.
[SPEAKER_01]: They killing all the Necrons.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that's the, that's the, LA talks of big one is they don't like the fact that Necrons are back and decided we're gonna solve this problem, then and the Harley Quinn's are just hunting down Eldar on a Waken Eldar, two worlds and Necrots.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the thing is, is that
[SPEAKER_01]: The best part about this is they love to find on a weekend.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And just ruin that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just go in there and blow them up completely.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then just, but also even the ones who are awakening, they just go there at that point.
[SPEAKER_01]: My thing is is like in my mind, they bomb the places and just go, you should have known that you already lost.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know who hasn't been asleep the whole time?
[SPEAKER_02]: This guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: That is there by one of their key purposes in the world is defeating Slonash and the Necrons.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they will achieve those two by shooting the Necrons before they can deploy.
[SPEAKER_02]: can be my fun rules back to you.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, as we talked about my favorite craft world who did have broken rules, never the web Brad's favorite craft world who've also had some broken ass rules, Brad.
[SPEAKER_02]: But we're talking about the earthquake.
[SPEAKER_02]: So real quick, who the earthquake are?
[SPEAKER_02]: They are a black aren't they were black with white trim?
[SPEAKER_02]: They are the largest craft world by a wide margin.
[SPEAKER_02]: I believe they were even larger than I hand in before I hand out fell.
[SPEAKER_02]: They've always been the biggest
[SPEAKER_01]: They are also the new poster child for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: When you're looking at Eldar, when you look at the paint schemes, when you look at what GW promotes, Oothway is now the go-to Eldar craft.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oothway are there's a lot of reasons behind that largely Unary based.
[SPEAKER_02]: the earthquake craft roads a little bit weird because.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Brian, you're, you heard both of us, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to get, I would have just glossed this out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm never glossing over the, the dumb shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you did this in the last one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow the eye of terror, the whole in space that connects to the Imperium literally a gate.
[SPEAKER_01]: to hell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Has a gravity well.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, none of us never explained just has it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the author way entire craft world, which is a part of the giant, yeah giant fleet of ships is stuck in his gravity well and can't escape it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they leave all the time, so it's no matter the web way, they leave consistently.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cruises to so many different places all the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eldran, while my favorite elder character by a mile, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: sticks his fingers where they shouldn't be.
[SPEAKER_01]: Consistently.
[SPEAKER_02]: Always.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all over the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: So both way leaves this thing all the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: But if you read the codex, as it says, the earthquake craft rolls are stuck in the orbit of the eye of today.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're so not until they don't must.
[SPEAKER_02]: They need to go somewhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Unless they need to go literally anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, no, we're stuck in this gravity.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, hey, we're out of milk.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll just drive there right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh,
[SPEAKER_02]: So, the flip side though, this whole thing about being stuck next to the eye of terror, as a result, it actually makes the earth way the most psychically gifted of all the aldeurases, because being this close to imagery.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's both.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it promotes, they've already have a huge psychic presence.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about it with all the aldeurases.
[SPEAKER_01]: It increases their psychic potential, but it also means that they have to constantly be
[SPEAKER_01]: on guard for the fact of corruption.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they have some of the most gifted psychors in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have the both way are the most powerful non chaos psychic in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they have the most power that's the most controlled, and they do all, they do some pretty badass shit to be had.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're incredible.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the funny thing about this, they actually have too many psychers to the point where they actually don't have, they have the least amount of aspect work.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they'll, they're the largest craft world, but they actually had the least amount of aspect work because they're all psychers.
[SPEAKER_02]: So everyone's path of fear.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because of that, effectively, if you're Ted,
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, sorry, Ted, you've now had up your guardian game.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so what they did was they flipped their guardians around a little bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Whereas everyone has guardians and all their guardians are militia, the Wolfwick guardians are called black guardians because the black armor.
[SPEAKER_02]: And these guys in the lore are bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've been bad assing the table two.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a good one.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a good one.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a good one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, some of the black audience came in.
[SPEAKER_01]: But one of the biggest things about the black audiences, the black audience aren't just badass because they're awesome guardians.
[SPEAKER_01]: The black audience are badass because they work hand in hand with the Sears Warlocks, far Sears.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they're basically shooting into the future, effectively.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, everyone in this unit should shoot right there.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's nobody there.
[SPEAKER_02]: There will be the black audience are famous for that, where they will pop out of out of a web way, immediately open fire just as an enemy comes around a corner into that fire.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then they walk right back through that web way.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, they're the ninjas.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they've had some crazy rules in the game, but if they made the lore, you would have people throw stuff out here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the black audience rules are annoying.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the black guys are not.
[SPEAKER_01]: But black artists in the lore legitimately show up and shoot you and then immediately leave.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you get to do absolutely enough.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are the black, both way in the black Aryans made Abadan kind of their bitch a couple times and I mean like an Abadan like
[SPEAKER_01]: literally in the or the around the item.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Abonan hates ultra like the emperor the most number two might be ultra.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's got a poster that he throws darts at.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is pretty rough.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, and this is what makes the that wolf wave amazing is that wolf wave because they've got so many psychers, maybe the special Black Guardian, they wage war a little bit differently than everybody else because they have so much foresight.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, does that for a site fall apart at the most key elements possible when writing the lower of Forty Kay?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, always does.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good job.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good job, Belldred.
[SPEAKER_02]: But aside from that problem, they do use them in combat quite a bit and the old way are incredible.
[SPEAKER_02]: This adds to that the old way spend most their time fighting chaos because of the location.
[SPEAKER_02]: They may be the pre uping.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's not just good location.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eldrad is committed to, which is one of the many reasons why I love my do-gooder characters by the way.
[SPEAKER_02]: You do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eldrad is committed to writing the wrongs of the sins of Eldrad.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, he wants to make things happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is really willing to work with other races.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just does a shitty job of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's talk about Eldrad because Brad loves himself.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love him.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to kind of
[SPEAKER_02]: hit, you know, in the U.S.
[SPEAKER_02]: we call it a resume, the restaurant we call it the C.V.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just go through some of the things, Eldrade's done in the lore.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to bring the bad stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll start with a bad one.
[SPEAKER_02]: The dumb one was, yeah, he did meet with full-groom.
[SPEAKER_02]: to tell Fulgram not to to make to prevent Horace turning to heresy, but get your program at all after Fulgram was head or turn to head or turn to the cast.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that might as well have a tenical song.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: So not, not as best work.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that is he's in.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldreds in.
[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that's the first book of the entire Horace heresy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldreds in.
[SPEAKER_02]: So he's over ten thousand years old.
[SPEAKER_02]: However, we'll cover in a future cast a secret word is called the Kabul.
[SPEAKER_02]: who were a hidden force in the galaxy that we're not really sure if they're for good or for evil.
[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, Eldrade killed almost every single one of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: He hunted them down and killed almost all of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eldrade was involved the War of Armageddon, kind of started it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a side note.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe sort of started it possibly.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was really trying to help out himself.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, definitely.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was not helping the members of the people who live in our town.
[SPEAKER_01]: When Revan, you know, invaded the go, the republic, to get them ready for things, you know, it's that's how it happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: One way of interpreting it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's one way of interpreting it.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also fought and defeated Abadon numerous occasions.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also died and they got
[SPEAKER_02]: Go, that's actually, oh, that's my favorite part.
[SPEAKER_02]: At one point, I'll dread in the Lord died.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was six edition.
[SPEAKER_02]: He gets these sacrifices themselves.
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I don't enforce it.
[SPEAKER_02]: In fifth or sixth edition, I shouldn't tell a story about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: In one of the codexes, I'll dread just dies in the codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: Straight up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not a black library book.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm just in the blackstone.
[SPEAKER_01]: He literally sacrificed himself into a blackstone fortress in the very next codex they go.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even address it.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're just like, hey, what's up?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all dry.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll dress right there and be like, well, didn't he die and do the, no, we're talking about.
[SPEAKER_02]: Read the code.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they literally do Austin powers.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's not my bag, baby.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're, I don't even know.
[SPEAKER_01]: He says right here.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is my bag.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're six edition codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: He died.
[SPEAKER_02]: I may be in these missions wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm wrong guys jumping to discord and tell me if I'm ninety, but it's a six edition codex.
[SPEAKER_02]: He dies and then seven days and go to X. He's just not dead anymore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not comes back to life.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's just no longer.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's just not.
[SPEAKER_02]: It just never happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because they effectively with.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, if this guy's the most popular elder character.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
[SPEAKER_02]: a landslide.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also really critical to the lore, so not only is he not die, but then in the eighth edition codex, he awakens a new god.
[SPEAKER_01]: The god of death, he made a god of death.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also he is then semi-recon, Abononstile, effectively responsible for
[SPEAKER_01]: about a hundred different huge, forty-k events by him, Kaiser Soesang, shit in the background.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll drive just whenever I ever, I'll drive up here's in the lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's important.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the best way to explain it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, also one of the biggest things about when L.J.
[SPEAKER_01]: shows up, shit's going down.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're happy that L.J.
[SPEAKER_01]: showed up and also I should load every gun I own because you never, nothing ever good happens with you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she is.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's doing trading missions.
[SPEAKER_02]: So.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think talking about Eldar in the earthquake is a really good transition to talking about the last thing we're going to cover here is which is Eldar's psychers.
[SPEAKER_02]: So really of all the weaponry the Eldar bring to bear in the battlefront, the most important piece for them is their psychers.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's their greatest asset by a long hundred percent.
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is is that Eldar worked hand in hand
[SPEAKER_01]: with their psychers, and we're talking either frontline, planning, and everything else with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: The elder don't function without their psychers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Most of their battle tactics require psychers.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you could say, you know, their tanks and stuff like that, but some of their tanks are piloted by psychers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a big deal in this because we have like so many things that happen that don't happen if snipers don't exist or there aren't there for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: The other because of the fact that they literally go, hey, how does this should we just talked about the Black Guardians?
[SPEAKER_01]: Black Guardians do not work if Sears and which specifically wore lives.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think the way I like to explain it is that the L-dark are the term we use a lot as a glass cannon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and then we call it the term that you use a term law because they hit you look a cannon, but there is brittle is glass.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the only way the elder can be successful is to make sure that there is no counter attack.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they do this, but with two things, one, their weapons and we're going to cover it in like our fourth cast on elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: their weapons hit hard like Eldar weaponry and Eldar may also recover the next cast with aspect warriors Eldar hit hard so they can eliminate you on the first hit but then with the psychers do is they they add a little bit to that hit the cheat yeah they make your hit even harder but also they make it they make the counter attack almost not exist they obviously get you they confuse the enemy mm-hmm
[SPEAKER_01]: They make you faster.
[SPEAKER_01]: They legitimately buff.
[SPEAKER_01]: They buff and debuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you play that, you can beat her game or any Xbox or whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: They buff and debuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: They legitimately throw down buffs on your units, put debuffs on your enemy units, but also they look into the future so you can kill things.
[SPEAKER_01]: or you can get out of the way and they do this for squadrons.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like Obi-Wan Kenobi weaving.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a hey, I've got a squadron of twenty guys and I tell everybody that even just tell them I subtly manipulate everybody to lean slightly to the left
[SPEAKER_02]: So there are four elements to the elder.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have the spirits here, the bone singer, the warlock and the far-seer.
[SPEAKER_02]: The bone singer is just the, he's the custodian.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a construction.
[SPEAKER_02]: They make, they, they sing, they may, they call it, because they actually sing into the warp and they create the, the racebone.
[SPEAKER_01]: in the computer games to the people that are healing the stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they built them.
[SPEAKER_02]: The next one of the spirits here is who actually are new word of the game.
[SPEAKER_02]: They get added.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think fourth edition, fourth or sixth edition.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're in charge of leading specifically units of rave constructs originally was actually the warlocks.
[SPEAKER_02]: And second, it was a warlock.
[SPEAKER_02]: They added them in later.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the last two are the ones that are actually really critical.
[SPEAKER_02]: The first is the one that and and why genuinely mean this and bridle back me up on this.
[SPEAKER_02]: the only unit in the entirety of the Eldar Codex that has not lived up to its lower at any point are is the warlock.
[SPEAKER_01]: Warlock should be ruining people.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing about this is warlocks have to be accomplished warriors before they go into the path of the same warlock as they have completed a path of war.
[SPEAKER_02]: So they are an aspect warrior.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about the next cast.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are a aspect warrior who have all the knowledge of an aspect warrior.
[SPEAKER_02]: and also have the psychic power.
[SPEAKER_01]: But in the game, she's sitting in the game in the lore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Warlocks are front line fighters that are legitimately bending time and space basically to make things happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: They are the ones that are putting those debuffs and buffeter units.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they are fighting with you right in the they are legitimately
[SPEAKER_01]: Right there.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're making you move faster.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're helping you hit better.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're also slowing down your enemy or making your enemy more susceptible to weaponry.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are a nightmare on a table top and I'm going to be kind of right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is number one reason I don't like Tenth Edition is with the DeWirlocks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is that Warlocks used to have dual powers because everything that they know can be used to collect their damn power, which was just better.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a better thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: But even when they select, every power had two sets.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything all relax can give you a boon or put a deep off on another unit.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can see a reveal.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, they can see a reveal.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it hands, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you ever use a reveal?
[SPEAKER_02]: as the LA talk player.
[SPEAKER_02]: Me neither, but I can see it was pretty fun.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm minus two to hit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe back the day I was a big deal, but I think it's just like, you know, enhanced terrain and things of that nature.
[SPEAKER_01]: And these all of these powers are fantastically lower accurate though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the the warlocks are the ones that are powering the Guardian.
[SPEAKER_01]: They just work with
[SPEAKER_02]: they would as has a striking a score from our current next one or how he banshee would charge and they would make it so that their weapons were actually hitting even harder or they would allow the a director to just your guardians to the buffers to be able to speak to make it so so the opponent couldn't get covered it to all the shots when would just crest just over the they're left of the warlocks are the reason that the elder war machine for me
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and people can argue this, I feel that the warlocks are the one of the main cogs in the elder one.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know, and this is an interesting thing, but this is, I think, where the table top does fail them a little bit, because we're going to cover next thing with numbers of far sear.
[SPEAKER_02]: So in the lower warlocks, because you're a former warrior, a company, the elder warriors, or if they're, you know, give me that or ninjas, basically at every conflict.
[SPEAKER_02]: The far seer, who's I think on a tabletop, the better known, and the more recognizing the power, is the inverse of this.
[SPEAKER_02]: The far seer should never be at combat unless the craft world itself is under attack.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's not a lot of far seers.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're the most powerful psychers that a craft world even has.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're supposed, and they're actually steering the craft.
[SPEAKER_02]: Their job is to sit in this special little, like, forest and the middle of the craft world.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then in a meditative state,
[SPEAKER_02]: mentally, they reach out to the entire craft world and drive it and direct it through stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: They legitimately, they drive day to day thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The autark is in charge of all war.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything he says.
[SPEAKER_01]: Period.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's happening in fights?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because he's path of command.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: The far sear isn't more in charge of your day to day.
[SPEAKER_01]: Every thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: The first thing to determine where the craft real is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what's the name of just where?
[SPEAKER_02]: Unless it's stuck in the gravity wall of the eye of terror, in which case we can't fix everything guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Look, those guys change how elder life happens.
[SPEAKER_01]: They guide everything that happens.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
[SPEAKER_01]: And in the game, they show up in your face.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do laugh about this only, but the far series with that element.
[SPEAKER_02]: As bad as the Warlocks are the tabletop, I just realized we're saying that the far-sear might actually be worse, and it's only just because you couldn't write these rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Warlocks should be this incredible warrior using the psychic powers in Jack and you up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Far series in the lore are almost deity level in combat.
[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot touch it.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
[SPEAKER_02]: to as thanks to pre-game moves.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you went first, do upwards of thirty mortal wounds to your opponent?
[SPEAKER_01]: It was an area.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could have been six inches of point.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: You actually could remove, I think my record was a third of an opponent's army.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because people were not super excited about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You think I rid of the rule weirdly?
[SPEAKER_02]: Elder had this the elder do this a lot where someone writes a rule for them and then I'm sure so much he w says that feels overpowered the person will look in the lore it makes sense and then someone else you w says well I guess the other that's fair seven billion emails later alright guys we're not doing that again
[SPEAKER_02]: Then fast forward six months, I told you again.
[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, so back to far seers.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, far seers.
[SPEAKER_02]: Their main purpose isn't actually combat.
[SPEAKER_02]: Their main purpose is keeping the fighting.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's guiding the entire.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're, I'd say the spiritual, but they're not really.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are the difference as a path of command makes an autarch.
[SPEAKER_02]: Autarchs during charge of small scale stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're in charge of this battle, that battle, etc.
[SPEAKER_02]: The first years in charge of the craft work.
[SPEAKER_01]: The charge of putting furthering civilization on.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is the best thing for
[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And where the far seers, the one thing I want to talk about from the lower standpoint, because you will hear it mentioned, and I want to kind of, it's one of these, there's a lot of stuff in GW lore that's like two sentences somewhere that ends up being really important.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the crystallization of a far seer, which is
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not even just the crystallization.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the crystal forest.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's what happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you'll hear people reference every now and then, like, eldride, for example, it's like, it's almost like, it's like brush crystals off his body as they're forming.
[SPEAKER_02]: The way that a far sear steers a craft, bro, they actually go to what is this forest, the middle of the craft roads.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it's literally avatar.
[SPEAKER_01]: The movie avatar when they go to the
[SPEAKER_02]: Brad's gonna make you mad.
[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't seen it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you?
[SPEAKER_02]: I had a nerd already.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because I saw dances with wolves on the watch again with CGI.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's dances with sci-fi, damn it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It did not look good.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_01]: If you can imagine Kevin Conster is a nine foot tall blue guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just want one of them's a better actor.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're constantly got weird.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a side note.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, that's a side note for another day.
[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, they have a forest of crystal and trees that are all there.
[SPEAKER_02]: And with these crystal trees, actually, are
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, probably.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're prior, but as the far-seeer sits in this forest and meditates, their body effectively stops functioning in just their mind.
[SPEAKER_02]: And for whatever reason, in doing so, their body begins to crystallize.
[SPEAKER_02]: They never explain why, and I'm glad they don't, because in traditional GW fashion, they try to explain it, it would probably be shit.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the body turns to crystal and eventually the way that far seers die is they actually turn into these crystals that much like a spirit stone traps their soul.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's not really necessarily a bad thing because their soul being there, the other far seers who are now alive and there can commune.
[SPEAKER_02]: with the far seers from before.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we're in the forty first millennia.
[SPEAKER_02]: You could be on a craft road as they're far seer and you're not just leaving the craft road, but you're asking the influence of thirty forty fifty hundredths of far seers who've come before you who can tell you and part their knowledge to you at all times.
[SPEAKER_02]: And see you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, the other don't forget things.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting this full life span of all the far seers that have come before you and this knowledge.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because one thing I've got to mention, sorry, that's on me, guys.
[SPEAKER_02]: When we talk about farceite within the, within the Eldar, it's not that they can see into the future.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's actually that they can run calculations based on the facts that exist in the knowledge they have to predict the future almost perfectly.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like the Necrons do, and all the computers.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but the difference is the Necrons and the Eldars, they Eldar have much more knowledge to base it off of, where the Necrons are doing math really quickly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the other actually see, basically, all the possible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because they have all the information.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Eldar have the access to no evidence ever, because Necrons have been asleep for sixty something million years.
[SPEAKER_02]: They Eldar have knocked, and they're aware of everything.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a little side note there to that.
