MLS eight two five nine, Equality and Lender NMLS Consumer Access. 00:01:01 Speaker 2: Welcome to hour two of Kentucky Sports Radio, present it by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt Jones. 00:01:07 Speaker 3: Sport of mac our number two Kentucky Sports Radio. If I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven here at kasbar, we are open for lunch and ready to rock, getting ready for Madisonville tomorrow, Kentucky and Bandy two o'clock Saturday. Is that what it is? Right? 00:01:21 Speaker 1: Eleven thirty pre game to eleven thirty. 00:01:24 Speaker 3: Pre game, be here at the bar. Should be fun, have a big hopefully have a big crowd here. Two more home games left and then that's it. Crazy. Yeah, we haven't taken any calls, but that's because I got all these topics. 00:01:35 Speaker 4: Great topics. 00:01:36 Speaker 3: They are great topics. One person rights, Matt. Calling anyone a dork is the height of hilarious. You are the biggest dork I've ever seen. True, but you wear it. But I didn't go in the locker room and try to celebrate with the hockey team. I would know better. I'm not. I've been in the locker room one time, and it was after UK beat South Carolina in football in like twenty It was Stoop's first big road win. They invited me in and they're playing and everybody was dancing, and I was like, I can't I feel weird. You didn't CrowdSurf, no, because I was like, I didn't play, so I love. I watched from in and I was like, I'm all right, I'm gonna go because it's not I'm not out there, like like I didn't play. 00:02:24 Speaker 4: You weren't thrown around the game ball and smoking cigars. 00:02:27 Speaker 3: I don't grant you. I'm a door, but like, that's not the point. One person writes to Crosby Steals in Nash They said, uh, love the one you're with. How's that song go? If you can't get who you love, love the one you with, That's right, that's my that's it. 00:02:45 Speaker 4: No comment. 00:02:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, And all these people in relationships, they will not say they have to have their wedding bow. 00:02:51 Speaker 1: We're happy in our relationships. 00:02:52 Speaker 4: Yeah, I understand Ryan's get married. Slow down. 00:02:57 Speaker 1: You know. 00:02:57 Speaker 3: The funny thing is every time we play the game, who'll be the next to get me? The good thing about Ryan is we can play that game many times and he will continue. Yeah, just till kell he does all right. One through ten Drew, I will go with number three. Number three. Mark Pope announced yesterday that Kentucky is going to have a summer tour this year. They are going to play somewhere overseas on a summer tour in games, and he said it is in the He said he couldn't say what it was, but it is somewhere he's never been. 00:03:34 Speaker 1: He almost had a little giddy like he was excited about whatever wherever this location. 00:03:37 Speaker 3: He didn't say it was somewhere Kentucky's never been. He just said it somewhere he's never been. So I don't know what his travel life has been ing. But he played overseas. So one of the things we could do is just go see where he played overseas, because we know we're not going there. Right when he was in college, they played in Italy, so we know we're not going there. 00:04:00 Speaker 4: Thought he might recreate that, but he rolled that out. 00:04:02 Speaker 3: He said, I had a text machine source. Now this is not I'm not advocating this source, but they had very specific details, and I went back. They have said something true one time before. They also have said something that ended up not being true one time, so it could go either way. But they said, and they said with confidence. They said the place and the location right depth information Baha Maar in the Bahamas, and said Kansas and a couple of other teams would also be going there this summer. Now, again that's not official. This is from random text machine person. But you know what, we're all friends here, we're just speculating. I don't know if Mark's ever been to the Bahamas. I haven't asked him. But this and this is a different island I think, right than the island we went. 00:04:55 Speaker 4: To before, same island, just down the beach a little bit. Is that you can see it from the Atlanta's beach. I mean, really nice. 00:05:02 Speaker 3: Weren't they building that or had just built it pretty when we had been. I think when you and I rode in the back of that truck, that guy was like, the next time you're here, that'll be open. 00:05:10 Speaker 4: Almost went last summer for vacation. It's really nice. 00:05:13 Speaker 3: So baja Marius what this person says. But again I don't know if that's true. It feels like in the years past they've given us a lot of notice about this. This would be if they're going in July or August. 00:05:23 Speaker 1: This is eat to get the word out there, people make it months away. 00:05:27 Speaker 3: Yeah, but still it'd be very exciting. I love summer. 00:05:29 Speaker 4: Basketball, yeah, and I've wanted to go to that particular place for a while, so I would love for that to be it. When he said somewhere we haven't been, I know, there's that dub yeah or to him and there's that Dubai royal palm whatever, and I'm like, please don't play in that when he was talking about it. So I would love for it to be the Bahamas. We've had No, I don't know, I don't have a thought, but that is existing this summer. So I thought, please don't be that. 00:05:54 Speaker 3: I thought that Dubai think no worse regular season games whatever it is Tom Jeorch's kids put on. So so that's. 00:06:02 Speaker 4: The point being. I was just running through countries that it could be and I was like, God, please don't. I don't want anything there. 00:06:06 Speaker 3: Well, I don't know what it is. He also said fans would enjoy it. I think it would be hard for fans on five months notice to get to Dubai, but the Obamas is yes, you know, some people could get there either way. I like the idea of playing summer basketball Now the question is will we have a team because who will be on the team. But I am excited about the idea of playing. 00:06:28 Speaker 1: So it'll be like a round robin with three or four different we'll play three four different games. Do you think something like that? 00:06:34 Speaker 3: I mean, you're just making that up. It just they It's just I don't think we play other college teams. I think the idea though, is there will be a bunch of teams there that will all play, because that's what's happening now, like we normal does. Yeah. When we were into Bahamas, Ohio State was there and Murray State was the Eric's ex Moorhead State, like North Carolina, So I think it's it's something like that. 00:06:55 Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you get the randoms that we meet in the casino and hang out with. Then you look up and they're playing basketball the next day. 00:06:59 Speaker 3: Yeah, so uh so exciting stuff. 00:07:02 Speaker 2: One through nine, Shannon give me number seven. 00:07:05 Speaker 3: Seven yukon Saint John's. 00:07:08 Speaker 4: Last night, I watched them. 00:07:09 Speaker 3: Oh so here, I was all excited. Turned on the Peacock yep. I only watched Peacock for the Tour de France, the Olympics and this show called Ponies. Have you seen that. 00:07:22 Speaker 1: I have not seen it. Don't know anything about it. 00:07:24 Speaker 3: It's good. It's about women who cares. It's it's it's it's good. I'll go watch It's called Ponies. Turned it on. Put the game on route uh Rick Patino's worst loss ever in his career, Saint John's third worst loss in the history of the program. 00:07:43 Speaker 1: They missed their last twenty four field goal attempts of twenty four to end the game. They couldn't buy a bucket. 00:07:51 Speaker 2: Can you imagine the practice they're going to have, oh, Patino? 00:07:54 Speaker 3: After that, they had eight minutes. They had like eight minutes left in the game. They had thirty six points with eight minutes it's left in the game, their last made basket. 00:08:02 Speaker 4: There was seventeen and a half minutes on the clock their final field goal. 00:08:06 Speaker 3: They didn't score for the final seventeen and a half. 00:08:09 Speaker 4: I think he had some free throws, but their last made basket. 00:08:11 Speaker 1: I had to look up his postgame news conference and it lasted like a minute fifteen seconds. 00:08:15 Speaker 3: That was it. I already didn't come out at all, did he. 00:08:17 Speaker 1: He's out in like the hallway, but outside the locker room. Yeah, he didn't come in the media ud come in the media room, shouldn't have heard. 00:08:23 Speaker 3: The gym he Danny Hurley was asked before the game, what kind of relationship do you have with Rick Patino? Did you see his answer? No? He goes none. 00:08:36 Speaker 2: Yeah, does he have a relationship with anybody? 00:08:37 Speaker 4: Though? 00:08:38 Speaker 3: Well, he said to his credit, I mean a man needs to know his weaknesses. He said, yeah, I'm not really friends with anyone that coaches. Why Yo, Well, I mean maybe that's what you have to do. 00:08:49 Speaker 4: Though you think he's honest. 00:08:51 Speaker 3: I mean he's like, I mean, the last three coaches to win a national title have all been let's be honest jerks, and Danny Hurley's won two and Todd Gold. I mean he's got his whole thing too. So I mean that's three in a row. 00:09:04 Speaker 4: And we saw Rick and Cal do the pretend to like each other when all of us just it went out the other year because we know it wasn't true. Remember I like that podcast together. 00:09:14 Speaker 3: Yes, that was awkward. 00:09:17 Speaker 4: You can see hearly doing a podcast with someone. 00:09:18 Speaker 3: Do you remember when Cal just thinking of random? When Cal did the you could call a phone number and he would give you updates about the team. 00:09:28 Speaker 1: I'd forgotten about that. 00:09:29 Speaker 4: Don't remember that at all. 00:09:30 Speaker 1: I didn't go over very well. I don't remember this. 00:09:33 Speaker 3: He had some sort of like scheme what is I I know this happened coach Cal dot com. 00:09:40 Speaker 4: He had a lot of It was something. 00:09:41 Speaker 3: You call a number and it would give you like a records recorded message of Cal talking about the news of the team. Yeah, chanton him. 00:09:52 Speaker 2: I'm not I don't remember that, like a CAL hotline. Huh. 00:09:55 Speaker 3: It was like the old w W hotline if you had or was it a text. It was something to do with the phone and it lasted literally like a week. 00:10:07 Speaker 1: I don't know anybody that did it. 00:10:08 Speaker 2: I don't remember it. 00:10:10 Speaker 1: I remember it was out there though. 00:10:11 Speaker 3: I remember thinking when I heard it, like this could be big, and then it just went away. You remember he also started a new podcast and he with He started a new podcast right before he took the job at Arkansas. He had Michelle Obama's brother the Oregon State coaches his first guest, and then never did another one. You remember that it was called like the Leadership Podcast, and he literally did one episode and then never did another one. 00:10:46 Speaker 4: Forgetting all the remember that it was called the cow Cast. I don't remember the recording. I was trying to look that up. His coach Cal dot com in the early days had a little bit of a money grab to it. 00:10:54 Speaker 3: We have to find what it is. 00:10:56 Speaker 4: Yeah, the t shirts. 00:10:57 Speaker 3: There was what you remember the phone. No one remembers the phone, but you rhyme, which worries me that you're the only person. 00:11:06 Speaker 1: It was a phone or a text message or something that fans could dial in. 00:11:10 Speaker 3: Someone out there remembers this and. 00:11:12 Speaker 1: It didn't last very long at all. 00:11:14 Speaker 3: I also remember coach Cal dot com did have a subscription service because I had to tour his bathroom. Do you remember that? 00:11:20 Speaker 4: And there was a T shirt if you're at a certain level, because I have one that has the Twitter logo on it to follow coach col. 00:11:27 Speaker 3: That That video is out there online of me giving a tour of Coach Cow's bathroom, which is really embarrassing in hindsight. I mean, I get in his shower. I think I remember that. 00:11:40 Speaker 4: You know, you definitely get in the shower. I think it was at the Craft Center, right, Yeah, it. 00:11:45 Speaker 3: Wasn't in his house, but it was Coach Cal wherever it was. Cal Perry had his own shower and I got. 00:11:53 Speaker 1: In it good reporting. 00:11:58 Speaker 3: It sounds really bad. 00:12:00 Speaker 2: He stands without clothes on, lathers himself and. 00:12:02 Speaker 3: Why did I do that? 00:12:04 Speaker 4: Looking for Tom out? 00:12:08 Speaker 3: I know, I know I'm right about that. 00:12:10 Speaker 4: I believe you. There was a lot of little money grab things on the coach cal dot com early days. 00:12:15 Speaker 3: Yeah, well anyway, so uh Patino, Yeah it was the cow Oh yes, they were called lexi's. 00:12:22 Speaker 4: Look that up. 00:12:22 Speaker 3: That's what they were called. They were called lexi. What is it? 00:12:27 Speaker 4: Lexis? 00:12:27 Speaker 3: They were called and you could call and you could get a LEXI from Cal. 00:12:32 Speaker 4: I'm starting to have a memory of this. I'm still trying to help. Here we go here this is from the Harold Leader. John Clay cal knows how to combine the two from coach Cal dot com his audio clips on Lexi to his Twitter followers. John quoted one of them. 00:12:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, found out find out what the a lexi was because I think you call a number and it would be like, hello, this is John cal Perry and it's so such and such a day. This is your LEXI. 00:12:57 Speaker 1: I remember it. I just don't remember that people had to is a text message or a call, but something you would get if you called this certain number. 00:13:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, you come, by the way. The sorry the Patino loss was his second worst loss of all time. Do you remember his first worst loss, which was here at Kentucky Kansas Kansas one fifty to ninety five. 00:13:21 Speaker 1: And his minute fifteen news cards he brought that up. You know, his team missed their last twenty four field goals and then Cali Perry's team made like their last fourteen field goals last night. Both our coaches had completely opposite endings last night. 00:13:33 Speaker 4: I'm having a good time going back, So tell me about the Lexis. 00:13:35 Speaker 3: First, this was not one of the topics, but I'm I'm glad I remember that. 00:13:40 Speaker 4: First of all, I just I don't remember this, but this is so him. Here's a New York Times article that says coach cal dot com gets one hundred thousand views a day. I don't believe that. 00:13:50 Speaker 3: I do not believe that that was not true. 00:13:52 Speaker 4: And he was in the process of starting the Chinese version of coach cal dot com. 00:13:56 Speaker 3: I do know whats the guys name do Loud Loud do? They brought it from China and he followed the team for a year. We loved that guy. 00:14:03 Speaker 4: Lile. Do not believe he had one hundred thousand. 00:14:05 Speaker 3: No, he didn't have one hundred thousand dollars. 00:14:06 Speaker 4: But there's a lot of coach cal dot com. You can get a lexi autographed hat from legendary head coach and Lexi caster extraordinary John Calipari. 00:14:17 Speaker 3: So he was a Lexi cast. 00:14:18 Speaker 4: He was a Lexi caster. 00:14:20 Speaker 3: Wow, that didn't last very long. 00:14:22 Speaker 1: No, it didn't. 00:14:24 Speaker 3: Now I'd like to go back and hear what they were. 00:14:26 Speaker 4: Is Chinese coach cal dot com still the villain? I want to read that Loudo was great. I love Flowdoo. I have selfies with him on my phone to this day. 00:14:34 Speaker 3: Does it in New Orleans? You all remember there being a Chinese guy that was following the team around. A Chinese news newspaper hired Loudou. He followed Kentucky around. Was it twenty twelve? Was it the year we won? The time? 00:14:49 Speaker 4: I loved him though. He was my seat neighbor at every game. 00:14:51 Speaker 3: He was game and he really didn't know much about basketball. He had no idea why he was here. 00:14:58 Speaker 4: He had he had a Chinese Twitter. He showed me. It was incredible. Yeah, you could out. He would tweet about the games in Chinese. 00:15:05 Speaker 2: I found audio of a coach cal LEXI cast. 00:15:08 Speaker 3: Yes this is okay with tease. Okay, what a. 00:15:14 Speaker 2: Radio for this one? 00:15:16 Speaker 3: Yes, you're gonna stick through the break to hear it's Alexi find your perfect match this month that Don Franklin choose from over six thousand new and certified pre inte vehicles, Don Franklin Auto dot com five year parts warranty on qualifying parts and the service you trust. It's Don Franklin Auto, driven by family. He got his number, got his number. We'll take a break. Very back on Memories by K. S r A five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven text machine seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. Very surprised how few people remember the usually. I mean, I can say anything about UK basketball and someone will say, yes, I remember that this. The Lexis have gone to history. 00:16:04 Speaker 1: It wasn't around long enough for people to either. 00:16:06 Speaker 3: Right and are the only ones that seem to remember this? 00:16:10 Speaker 4: Further tells me he wasn't geting a hundred thousand a week. 00:16:12 Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, there's a couple people on this text machine seven seventy two seven seven four five to two five four say they remember it, but not many, which is very rare. So Shannon, this is you're saying, this is a coach cal Lexi. 00:16:25 Speaker 2: Yes, this is video of Caliperi recording Alexi, but it serves the same purpose. 00:16:29 Speaker 3: So here's here we go. This is col Lexi from this is twenty ten. 00:16:34 Speaker 5: All right, folks, this is coach cal for Lexi. 00:16:37 Speaker 2: I had to call you. 00:16:38 Speaker 5: I know I'm usually calling you in the mornings, but I'm calling you now because of all the NCAA tournament stuff that's out, and you know, we win the SEC in a dogfight. I don't know how we won the game. If you figured it out, send me a note and tell me how we won, because I have no idea. 00:16:52 Speaker 3: But we didn't win. 00:16:53 Speaker 5: We had to travel back race to my house to see where we'd fall. We knew we'd be in one. We needed to know what region and who would be playing against. 00:17:02 Speaker 3: Well. 00:17:02 Speaker 5: Then I had to do a few things for Direct TV March Mega March Madness, which I'm helping them with. And then Brad my son wanted to go out and throw baseball, so I had. 00:17:10 Speaker 4: To do that. 00:17:10 Speaker 5: Now I'm on my way to go watch some tape of East Tennessee State and I'll tell you, I am so juiced up about this tournament. We have a hard road now, and I understand we're one of the hard. I think Kansas has a hard road also, they're all hard. I mean it's there's no easy way because you're gonna have to win games, you have to take. There's gonna be upsets, there's teams you think you're gonna play, you're not gonna be playing. 00:17:35 Speaker 3: But it's gonna be a tough road. 00:17:37 Speaker 5: And then with a young team like we have, Oh my goodness. But I'll tell you what, I've got a talented young team, and I'm anxious to get after it. And I'm just hoping we've grown through the weekend. 00:17:47 Speaker 3: All right. So that's a light see there. Two ten. So that was because we played East Tennessee State that year, right, yep, I think we did. He says we're a one seed. Yep. 00:17:58 Speaker 2: This is from March fifteenth. 00:18:00 Speaker 3: Wow, the John Wall team, and he said, how do we win that game? That was the Mississippi State game in the tournament where we make the comeback? 00:18:07 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:18:08 Speaker 4: Wow. 00:18:08 Speaker 1: So just hearing that, what a to me a great idea for twenty ten where people could call and get an update from cob He said he called them. 00:18:17 Speaker 4: Yeah, I did it just so. 00:18:18 Speaker 1: He so he would call you if you gets to you subscribe, Yeah, he would call you, maybe send out a message. 00:18:25 Speaker 2: Everybody's sounds like a conversation to me. 00:18:28 Speaker 3: Wow. Can you imagine you get a phone call and cal Perry's just in your ear going, hello, this is John cal Perry. 00:18:33 Speaker 4: Wow the LEXI All right, well that's from the past. 00:18:36 Speaker 3: Ryan. One through seven. 00:18:38 Speaker 1: Uh, let's go number eight. 00:18:40 Speaker 2: One. 00:18:41 Speaker 3: Stop being it. Don't be funny. Just one through seven. You know you and I have this conversation. Don't try to be funny. You're naturally funny. When you try to be funny, you frustrate me. Just one through seven. Let's go on number one then one. Uh, all right, I did. I was going to lead the show with this, but then I decided to do this thing. Give me your best case in your worst case scenario, best case, worst case scenario for the rest of the season for UK Drew best case, worst case, best. 00:19:14 Speaker 4: Case is Aberdeen and o Way and Chandler play, you know, their best basketball, like we've seen consistently throughout the SEC and then the combination of Yellovich and diabate give you what they gave you the other night. You stay healthy, and that group of Marino. 00:19:33 Speaker 3: Take you. 00:19:35 Speaker 4: To the second weekend. 00:19:36 Speaker 3: So best case for you is sweet sixteen. Yes, worst case, we don't win another game at all. Okay, that's that's a plausible scenario. 00:19:49 Speaker 4: And I don't think that will happen, but it's not impossible. We'll probably gonna be an underdog all three of them games. 00:19:54 Speaker 3: Less scenario where that happens is you lose the three regular season games. You end up with the eight seed because Texas lose a couple of times. Coming down to stretch, you're the eighth seed. You play Texas in the first round the SEC tournament. 00:20:05 Speaker 4: Then if you lose that, you're n ca A. 00:20:08 Speaker 3: Eleven seed and you lose in the first round of the NCID. 00:20:10 Speaker 4: Now, I think that's extreme. It's not non zoo. 00:20:15 Speaker 3: That was gonna be my worst case. There is a worst case scenario where you do not win another game. Best case scenario for me, beat Vandy and A and M lose to Florida. Uh, you end up like a sixth seed in the SEC tournament. You end up playing like Arkansas and the in the quarterfinals. Beat them. Play Alabama in the semifinals, get hot, beat them, losing the finals to Florida. Go to the NCAA Tournament. You're a seven seed, win your first game, draw a two seed that stinks, upset them, get Sweet sixteen, see your matchup, things go crazy, good, you win, and you go to the Elite. Not likely, but that's best case, right. 00:21:12 Speaker 1: I'm still a believer that these guys, they are good shooters. They're gonna find their stroke. I know we're running out of time, but I still believe that Trent Yellovich Jasper these guys they're good shooters, they're just not hitting their shut right now. So I'm gonna hold my best case scenario. They dial in, find their stroke, win two of the last three Benny in Texas, A and m lose to Florida, get to the SEC Tournament, and I'm kind of drue. Just get us to Saturday. You get us to the weekend of the SEC tournament, get in the NCAA Tournament, go to the sweet sixteen. Maybe you have to upset somebody in the round of thirty two to get to the sweet sixteen. Everybody's excited in that way. So we lose in the Sweet sixteen. We're not as disappointed, Shannon. 00:21:49 Speaker 2: Best case scenario, team your. 00:21:51 Speaker 3: Worst case lose out. 00:21:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys are all you nailed the worst case. 00:21:54 Speaker 2: We know worst cases lose out. You end up what eighteen and fourteen? And I don't even know if do you make the tournament at that point? 00:22:00 Speaker 3: For you make it, but you're probably a ten or eleven seed. 00:22:04 Speaker 2: Best case scenario for me, this team gets hot, they end up a six seed in the NCAA Tournament, they beat the eleven, get an upset over the three, make it to the Sweet sixteen, and probably lose there. 00:22:13 Speaker 3: Okay, so we're all in the same ballpark. Yeah, but it is interesting. Just think about the difference in react. We all agree that either of those scenarios is possible. Right, not win another game Sweet sixteen. Think about how different this fan base will be based on which of those two very plausible scenarios could happen, or anything in between. 00:22:44 Speaker 1: It's it's amazing, and I don't think we would be surprised if it went either way. I can see it happening in the bad way and the good way. 00:22:51 Speaker 3: I could too. I could see us beating Fandy Saturday A and m's been on a complete you know they've been falling down. You could win, Yes, you know you draw a two seed and it's Nebraska. Are you scared? I'm not really scared of you up set, but I also could see a world where it all falls apart. So I guess we'll just be along for the rod. Got that going for us? Call Lexi and we'll keep you up to date. During the run. We'll be right back. TJ. 00:23:24 Speaker 2: Smith, personal injury attorney. 00:23:25 Speaker 4: Call TJ. 00:23:26 Speaker 3: He'll make them pay. 00:23:28 Speaker 4: Now. 00:23:28 Speaker 2: More of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:32 Speaker 3: Quarter about Turkey Sports Radio. A five, nine, two eighth, twenty two eighty seven. All right, one through six, Drew, I'll go number four, number four. Uh, okay, let's see one. Oh. I guess I've done more of these than I realized. One through five. You're still doing four. H Tyler Bell baseball player for Kentucky. 00:23:55 Speaker 4: Uh. 00:23:55 Speaker 3: They announced yesterday, Uh, maybe back good? Some rumors Jeff Drummond said, may actually be back for SEC play. That's huge, which seems wild to me but would be huge for Kentucky baseball. They ended up winning that game yesterday did Western. 00:24:12 Speaker 1: Okay, you know, yeah, the initial indication was that it was a pretty serious shoulder injury. Maybe after they got in there and did the MRI or something found out okay, Yeah, we can rehab get him back by the end of the season. So it would be a big boost to get him back. 00:24:26 Speaker 4: I think yesterday people at the game noticed he it wasn't in a sling and you know, if you're out for a year and if you're really going through that thing is probably gonna have something on it. And it looked like, you know, he wasn't out there throwing the ball around a lot, but you didn't have anything on it, which is a good sun. 00:24:38 Speaker 3: Let's talk about our other injuries. Zero chance in your mind, Jayden Clayton's plays, is there a number below zero? 00:24:47 Speaker 1: It's been zero for me for a long time. 00:24:48 Speaker 4: It's been zero for me since January zero? 00:24:51 Speaker 3: Ro Yes, did you you have been zero from the beginning? Was that was that scoop or was that just Ryan Lemon's scuttle just. 00:25:00 Speaker 1: A little little scuttle butt, No, scoop, just a little scuttle butt that Uh, like I said, I mean, I think I don't know, I don't know this, but I think there could be another injury that has happened. Then maybe that's why it's swelling up all the time. And I don't think his dad was too pleased with the way things were going. 00:25:17 Speaker 3: We only played three games, yeah, but in the last game he only played like eight minutes. Yeah. 00:25:23 Speaker 4: And if he was gonna come back, he would have already been back. All right, even if you're healthy, what's the point coming back for a couple of games? Here, Cam Williams sounds like he's trying. I just it seems very optimistic for guy coming off that injury with just immediately once he starts practicing the conditioning, all that goes into it be able to help you out. 00:25:43 Speaker 3: Would you? I mean, let's say that he was ready for the SEC tournament. You think you'd make a big difference. 00:25:52 Speaker 4: It would help. I just wouldn't have high expectations of him making a big enough impact to matter. But if if, if, if it's tournament, Trent still hasn't made a three and your bench hasn't taken a step forward, then another body won't hurt you. 00:26:05 Speaker 3: That's what Yeah, I mean, that's a really good point with the way Trent and Jasper have played. It could be huge just to give some rest to those guards occasionally. I mean, I don't want a lot of rest, but you could give him a little bit of resk. 00:26:19 Speaker 1: It couldn't hurt, but at least having somebody out there that could go out and maybe knock down a shot for you when you need one. Those days of him playing fifteen minutes are long gone. But if you get it, you know five. I don't think you could play fifteen not off the bat, you know, like Drew said, the conditioning. He hasn't been on the conditioning since when was in January? I mean that's a long time to be out off your feet. 00:26:38 Speaker 3: What are the chances you think he plays? 00:26:42 Speaker 4: I mean, if they made a deep run, you know you're buying him a little more time. I will say five percent. 00:26:49 Speaker 1: I was gonna go ten. 00:26:51 Speaker 3: I'll go more than that. I'll say fifteen or twenty. I think that I think he's trying. 00:26:57 Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I don't have a doubt he's trying. I just think that's it's a big ask for him to get back and be able to help you in that timeline that he has in front of him. I think his attitude is right. 00:27:06 Speaker 3: No doubt one person rights, Matt. Sometimes you write things down. I want you to write things down right now, with everyone on the show, players that will be on the team next year, writing it down. I'm righting it right here on Sunday, March the first I'll do Matt. I'm gonna do Matt Jones' first. These are the ones that I This is not could, this is wit like, this is your your prediction, and of course we can change this, but this is for today. Okay, Uh, MALCOI Moreno, Colin Chandler, Cam Williams, m Brandon, Hawthorne, Branden Hawthorne, Brighton Hawthorne. And I'll go ahead and say jaylen Low those are my five. 00:28:06 Speaker 4: I'm going five, Drew, I will say Cam Williams Okay, Colin Chandler. 00:28:15 Speaker 3: Okay, oh boy, No Malca. 00:28:19 Speaker 4: I'm thinking I'll say Malika, all right, gotta get Malca, that's important. 00:28:23 Speaker 3: I will add Hawthorne all right. 00:28:28 Speaker 4: Uh, put diabatee on there. 00:28:32 Speaker 3: Diabate all right. So we both have five, but we just difference to who the fifth is. 00:28:38 Speaker 4: Actually you know it? 00:28:39 Speaker 3: Give me Yellovich, Yellovich, no diabate or do you want to We'll keep them both both, So you got I worry. 00:28:45 Speaker 4: I worry we're gonna run it back. 00:28:46 Speaker 3: Okay, so you got sick. 00:28:48 Speaker 4: Part of me wants to say Brandon Garrison. I know that sounds outrageous, but Pope clearly loves him. But I'm not gonna say it. But you're not gonna say Low. No, I'm not gonna say low all. 00:28:55 Speaker 3: Right, uh shaon And I was on the. 00:28:58 Speaker 4: Fence about Trent Noah and Jasper Johnson. Ball left them both off. 00:29:00 Speaker 2: I got four. I'm gonna go. 00:29:01 Speaker 3: You want to run this whole thing back? 00:29:03 Speaker 4: No, I no part of me wants to run it back. I think this is what we're heading towards. 00:29:06 Speaker 2: Okay, four, Shannon, go Low, Chandler Moreno. And I think Garrison just to frustrate the hell out of you for another season. 00:29:14 Speaker 3: Wow. So no, Cam, No, Low, Chandler, Moreno, Garrison, Shannon with the typical uh least pet optimistic or what depends I guess how you look at it. 00:29:25 Speaker 2: I mean, I think it would be an improvement to get more players you have. 00:29:29 Speaker 3: Low, Chandler, Moreno, Garrison. That's quite a foresome. I bet nobody else has that force them all right, Ryan. 00:29:34 Speaker 1: I think that the three we kind of agree on Malachi Chandler and I'm gonna go with the email Malachi Chandler, Cam, I'm gonna go Trent No. And that's it. 00:29:46 Speaker 3: Those four, Okay, So I have six or no dress six, I have five, You two have four. We all have Moreno, Cam or No, you don't have Cam. So the only two people all four of us have are Moreno and Chandler. We all feel good about Moreno and Chandler. 00:30:06 Speaker 4: I lived into Moreno, so Chandler is the only one everyone feels one hundred percent certain his back. I'm not one hundred percent there either, but I would say he's the most likely of the bunch. 00:30:17 Speaker 3: Okay, Moreno, you would say second, No, I would say Cam second, okay, but but he doesn't. 00:30:23 Speaker 4: I just think so I can't put him. Yeah, I just think Moreno's phones. 00:30:25 Speaker 3: Because if we're doing the correct if we're doing the collective group, Chandler most likely Cam. Excuse me, Moreno, second, Cam third. We all kind of agree, that's three are the top. Hawthorne. Neither Ryan, you nor Shannon believe he's gonna play here. 00:30:41 Speaker 2: This year. 00:30:42 Speaker 1: So I was thinking that is the current guys do you think you'll play here, I would put him down on my list. 00:30:48 Speaker 3: All right, So now Ryan's I got five? All right, so we all agree with that. No one has Jasper returning, No, no, is he the least likely to come back? 00:31:01 Speaker 1: See, I thought maybe Yellovich might be the one of the least likely to come back. He may even just go back overseas, you know, may not even play collegeball here. 00:31:07 Speaker 4: I don't think he'll I don't think. 00:31:08 Speaker 3: I don't think he'll do that. He can make more money here. 00:31:11 Speaker 4: I just don't know his connection the entire team. 00:31:13 Speaker 3: His entire team came to college, so clearly there's more money here than there is on his team. He might go to another school, but I don't think he'll go back. I just don't know his opportunities. Why did you say who do you think is less likely? 00:31:25 Speaker 4: I was just trying to think Jasper I only know, but to say he's the least likely. I was kind of running through the roster in my head. I guess he's my answer. 00:31:33 Speaker 3: Now, Why am I? Why are Shannon and I the only to the he Hello? 00:31:38 Speaker 4: I just hope they go find someone that's not coming off a shoulder injury that plays a little more like the dimri at Yukon that they talked to last year, that type of guard who's having a great year. I hope they go get They're. 00:31:50 Speaker 1: Definitely gonna go get a point guard. I think that alone may chase him off, chase low off and they go get somebody else. 00:31:56 Speaker 3: I think that's a fair argument. 00:31:57 Speaker 4: I think if Lowe is back as the starting guard, we whiffed, like you can't. I like that low tried, and I hate that he has the injury, but I don't know you can put all your chips in with a guy coming off a shoulder injury. 00:32:09 Speaker 3: I'm holding out for my man. I think everybody. I think it's a different team. It's a different team. If he's healthy all year. I still don't think it would have been great, but it would have been better than what we have. Our bottom would not have been as bad. Yeah, our bottom has been very bad this year. 00:32:26 Speaker 4: But we might have never gotten Aberdeen. And he's awesome right now. 00:32:29 Speaker 3: Yep, fair point, But our I don't think we I don't think we lose by forty the teams. If he's on the team right. 00:32:37 Speaker 1: Well, yeah, he's with he If he was healthy, you're trying to juggle a way Chandler, Aberdeen and low All at the same time. 00:32:44 Speaker 3: But then you could have a four man rotation. Yeah. Right now we just have three guys and then. 00:32:49 Speaker 1: Pray they are our best three guys. 00:32:51 Speaker 3: You know which I do think is is difficult if you're paying for premium roadside assistants or getting gouged for phone insurance. Go to UK Federal Union. Not only can you have your money in the Blue Vanage checking account, they're packed with benefits that go beyond the basics. Twenty four to seven roadside assistants atm fee rebates. That's good dark web monitoring. Bryan needs that about every week. Go to UK Federal Credit Union, the official credit Union the University of Kentucky additional fleas. Apply Membershipelle you be required insured by NCUA. We'll take a break and be right back and come back for the final segment. It's KSR. Welcome back Turkey Sports Radio. Drew just reminded me that Rhys Potter left Miami of Ohio and. 00:33:32 Speaker 4: They're undefeated and won again. 00:33:35 Speaker 3: That's brutal. I didn't think about that. That's tough. Yeah, he played close to twenty minutes finished last year. They're gonna finish undefeated, are they. Do you find them a good story or do you not find it lame because they didn't play anybody. 00:33:50 Speaker 4: It's a good story, but you know, if it gets to the point where they lost their commerce tournament, I'm not I don't think they should be rewarded. It's neat that they've won every game in front of them, but it's not some big, incredible feat. 00:33:59 Speaker 3: If our best case scenario happened and we were like a six or a seven, I would love to see them on the other side of the draw. I don't I would I don't think you. I don't think you could pick a better team for Kentucky to get in that scenario because I mean, no offense to them, I just don't think they're They're obviously good, but they're not like really good. 00:34:22 Speaker 4: And they've been tested, but not like not really testing and a real you know, Kentucky's I'm not gonna say elite, but you know, a big program from a big conference coming in and smacking in the mouth. They haven't had any challenges like that this game. 00:34:35 Speaker 3: I mean, if they had just played one game against a big conference team, just one whether they won or not, you'd have an idea. They at least have a little experience, which you have no idea. So I would love to of all, I would love to see that as our opponent. 00:34:49 Speaker 1: And I can see this lection committee doing that high profile game, undefeated Miami Ohio playing Kentucky. Yes, I can see that happening. 00:34:55 Speaker 4: That the best up to them. I'd be like, which tall that year? 00:34:58 Speaker 3: All right, A couple things real here that we did we didn't get too I want next week is the high school regional tournaments. Yes, I want to pick ryan a region to go watch, like make a couple of tries. I want to. I want to pick a region to get emotionally invested. Okay, so which region do you think we'll have the most competitive tournament this year? If Matt Jones wanted to be emotionally invested in a tournament, Oh. 00:35:26 Speaker 1: You wouldn't have to go too far because the eleventh region has got Madison Central probably the best team, and Frederick Dougs and Bryan Station are both really good. So the eleventh region is it's always good. It's gonna be good again this year. 00:35:35 Speaker 4: It's not a. 00:35:36 Speaker 3: Fun answer though, Like I could go to that any year. Is there another year that has Is there another reason has multiple good teams or at least very competitive. 00:35:45 Speaker 4: Louisville again, Yeah, and again, that's the same thing you're running into. I assume you're trying to get out somewhere you don't know. 00:35:50 Speaker 3: I mean I could do, I would do. I've been to the Louisville Ones a lot. Lexington, I haven't actually been a lot, but I'm thinking, like, is there there's got to be some region out there that has three or four good teams. 00:36:00 Speaker 1: It's not always the tenth regions usually pretty competitive. GRC is still really good. So you don't know, trying to think we always had much a lot of fun at the thirteenth region tournament down there, But I don't think any of those teams are like powerhouses this year. 00:36:15 Speaker 3: All right, well there goes my excite. 00:36:17 Speaker 4: I mean, Madison Central would be a good one to see. They're really good. Yeah? 00:36:20 Speaker 3: Is that in Richmond? Where is the regional tournament? 00:36:23 Speaker 1: I'm not sure where they're playing the eleventh REEG tournament this year, but that's it's gonna be a hell of a tournament. 00:36:27 Speaker 3: When's that Madison Central? This is the best they've been in many years. 00:36:30 Speaker 1: Right, they won the state title with Dominique. 00:36:33 Speaker 3: Is this the best they've been since? 00:36:34 Speaker 4: They probably? 00:36:35 Speaker 1: Yeah, that was what dominic hook and then on like oh seven o eight wherever that year there was no. 00:36:40 Speaker 4: It was it was the year it was later than that, yeah. 00:36:44 Speaker 1: Oh yeahcause Cow went to watch. 00:36:45 Speaker 3: It was the year we missed the tournament. It was thirteen because Cow went and watched the game, right and then and then Hawkins played so well he gave him a scholarship. So I think that was twenty thirteen. 00:36:54 Speaker 4: And they got a Felt house in Madison Central. 00:36:56 Speaker 1: He was committed to Belmont. 00:36:59 Speaker 3: Oh is that is the fell kid? Yeah? He's really good. All right. So I did read a study, Shannon, I thought you would like. Okay, they say they have found a study that says, you know, people that people claim people have a natural scent. 00:37:17 Speaker 4: Do you believe that's true? 00:37:20 Speaker 3: Like people have They always say married people can smell the scent of their other. Yeah yeah, I'm not talking like perfume or cologne, but just like a natural scent. Yeah, sure, I believe that. 00:37:32 Speaker 4: Do you believe that's true? I believe it. 00:37:34 Speaker 1: I think dogs prove that it's true. 00:37:36 Speaker 3: Why do dogs prove that it's true. 00:37:37 Speaker 1: They can smell like something like a sock and then go find that person. 00:37:41 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true that point, okay, so that's good, all right, fair enough. 00:37:47 Speaker 3: They say that starting at the age of forty nine to fifty, your natural scent changes into a different scent, and they're trying to figure out biologic why that happens. That you get to a certain age and your natural sense becomes completely different, and that older people then smell completely different than that when they were. 00:38:11 Speaker 2: Young, smell like being gay after that age. 00:38:14 Speaker 3: Do you do you agree with that? You have? The reason I'm bringing this up is I'm going to cross that line relatively soon. You have already crossed it, so you have already changed your smell. Do you do you think or if you if people told you you smell differently. 00:38:30 Speaker 1: I haven't got that, but it's probably they want to tell me. But you know, when you go visit your grandparents, they always kind of had a different smell to them. I feel like you never. 00:38:38 Speaker 3: Visited my grandparents. 00:38:39 Speaker 4: They were dead when we leave my grandparents out of this. 00:38:42 Speaker 1: Well, back in the day when you used to go visit your grandparents, they think grandparents always used to have a little smell different. They smelled different. 00:38:49 Speaker 3: Mine didn't. 00:38:50 Speaker 1: Maybe you were young, you didn't smell. You've got a very sensitive I tried not to. 00:38:55 Speaker 3: I tried not to smell my grandparents a lot. Uh. Yeah, I just yeah, the point being what is getting me. There are all these studies coming out that basically say the eight between the age of forty four and forty nine is the moment that your body like starts to go. All right, that's it, Like we're heading in a different phase of our life. And I don't feel it, but I'm kind of worried, like it's gonna happen like tomorrow overnight, You're just gonna wake up and smell different. 00:39:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, christ you know tomorrow in Madisonville if you smell different. 00:39:31 Speaker 3: No, man, I mean, they're just I've been like I guess it's just you tend to focus on what affects you. I just keep reading all this stuff and it all says the same thing that you go through forty four to forty nine and then like seventy two to seventy four are the ages that your body makes major transformations basically ages. And I don't feel it, like I'm in better shape now than I was ten years ago. But I'm just worried, Drew, like, I need to go do everything right now because it's about to fall upon you. 00:40:04 Speaker 4: Gotta take care of yourself. Could it be you know when things start going bad, start smelling, getting older? Aging? 00:40:11 Speaker 3: Yeah? Did you notice that as being the age? 00:40:16 Speaker 1: Yes, you know, you start growing hair. We've never had hair grow before. What things don't work? That used to work? 00:40:24 Speaker 4: I wish you hadn't asked him that. 00:40:27 Speaker 1: Peeing all the time? You gotta pee twice in the middle of the night. You can't get a whole night's leave without going into the bathroom. Dribbling all over the floor. 00:40:34 Speaker 2: See what you get to look forward to. 00:40:37 Speaker 1: That's that's welcome to the fifties. 00:40:41 Speaker 4: Dribbling all over the floor. 00:40:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, things just. 00:40:46 Speaker 2: Dribble, you crossing over people in the bathroom. 00:40:53 Speaker 3: You know you're right. I should have I shouldn't have. That's on me. I'm gonna take that one for the team. That's all I mean. I should have known. I should have realized he was not the person as I should have brought in a special guess through past that. 00:41:09 Speaker 4: Now I got visuals ride in my head. I don't want you lose hair. 00:41:14 Speaker 1: When you want hair, we don't want to grow hair my nose, my ears. 00:41:19 Speaker 2: His hair is going everywhere your ears. 00:41:22 Speaker 1: Yeah, you get hair coming out of my ears. 00:41:24 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, old. 00:41:25 Speaker 2: People get it hair coming out of their ears. I've seen that all right. 00:41:28 Speaker 3: Tonight DraftKings DraftKings dot Com at five win two hundred dollars if you use my promo code KSRU. March Madness is coming. I think they're in a good spot even though they lost that game, and they'll win big. 00:42:07 Speaker 3: This is for the two seed probably in the Big Ten tournament. Yeah. 00:42:11 Speaker 1: I watched the Purdue Indiana game. They just destroyed Indiana. The produce kind of got it figured out. They're kind of rolling right now. 00:42:17 Speaker 3: I'll take Purduda win, but I'll take Michigan State to cover the seven and a half. You make seven and a half. It's a lot of points for the game. It's gonna play. They'll play them hard. But I'll take Produda winm at Michigan State to cover Shannon. 00:42:26 Speaker 2: They'll take Purdue as well. I think they do cover. 00:42:29 Speaker 3: Okay, there you go. And by the way, after a two and a half week hiatus, my Hurricanes are back in action.
