Revisiting WCW Saturday Night 1992 - The First Episode!
After over twenty years of wrestling running on Saturday's on TBS, WCW decided to re-brand their show to "WCW Saturday Night"!
On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at the re-launching of WCW's Saturday Night show, which is now being called, of course, WCW Saturday Night! This "new" show debuted it's new branding on April 4th, 1992.
Hosted by Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura (for this week), we get a look at WCW's new idea for this show, which involves more of a talk-show feeling to it, as Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura take us through the show by not only showing us matches, but conducting interviews along the way. On this show, you'll see the WCW Light Heavyweight Champion, Brian Pillman, take on Brad Armstrong. We also get a chance to see the Fabulous Freebirds, Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin, take on the duo of Diamond Dallas Page & Cactus Jack in a match to get them prepared for their Tag Team Title match next week.
We'll also find out about the personal & professional life of Ron Simmons, who is looking to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, which is currently held by Sting, and being hunted down by Big Van Vader & his manager, Harley Race.
In the main event, "Stunning" Steve Austin, accompanied by Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman) defends the WCW Television Championship against The Z-Man in a 2 out of 3 Falls match.
All of that, and much more, on this week's DEADLOCK Podcast!

I mean, if <v Speaker 2>that doesn't sell it to you, then fuck me. <v Speaker 1>And oh he didn't pick mcgoover. <v Speaker 2>Can you believe that? <v Speaker 1>Oh my god, you had one chance. <v Speaker 2>That's right, and he lost it. He did give me <v Speaker 2>three copies of macgoover over the fucking two k trip though, <v Speaker 2>fucking yeah, maniac. But yes, exciting stuff going on the <v Speaker 2>Patreon and really all of all of dead luck God <v Speaker 2>we are I didn't realize how much we were doing. <v Speaker 2>Dah right, Jesus God. <v Speaker 1>All right, let us get into WCW Saturday Night for <v Speaker 1>April fourth, nineteen ninety two. I believe this is the <v Speaker 1>very first episode of Saturday Night ever and I would <v Speaker 1>never annunciate Saturday right. <v Speaker 2>That's okay, It's it's really about a feeling, and that's <v Speaker 2>what WW was all about, just bringing you the feeling <v Speaker 2>of what a Saturday Night would be. <v Speaker 1>Hey, dude, I'm from the South too, and like this <v Speaker 1>is where WCW was from. There's no way they that <v Speaker 1>Ted Turner said Saturday Night. He always thought it WCW Saturday. <v Speaker 2>Night, Sadder Saturday. Yeah, So from what I understand, and <v Speaker 2>do not quote me on this, I believe that this <v Speaker 2>show had existed for quite some time in this you know, <v Speaker 2>the time slot here on Saturday nights was a very <v Speaker 2>important one in pro wrestling, especially on Turner. This show <v Speaker 2>was originally just called World Championship Wrestling, and then they <v Speaker 2>decided to give it a fresh coat of paint called <v Speaker 2>WCW Saurday Night. Give a new look, new feel, new this, <v Speaker 2>that and the other. And that's what we're checking out here, <v Speaker 2>the very first WCW Saturday Night. But before we get <v Speaker 2>into that, let's talk about what was going on in <v Speaker 2>the world wrestling at the time with the Wrestling Observer <v Speaker 2>news letter from The Observer March thirtieth, nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 2>Everyone's on steroids. Every steroid scandal ever is happening right now. <v Speaker 2>My favorite wrestler's on steroids, all of them cool. Every <v Speaker 2>company is trying to implement drug policies now because the <v Speaker 2>government's coming. <v Speaker 1>Oh right, they say wrestling is too good. <v Speaker 2>Everyone looks too sweet, so we gotta shut that down. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, everyone's on steroids and then the Undertaker debut <v Speaker 2>in Japan. Meltzer says he'd been there a few years ago. <v Speaker 2>Is Punisher Dice Morgan for New Japan which was the <v Speaker 2>highlight of the recently completed tour. I didn't I only <v Speaker 2>know if Undertaker in Japan because I saw I don't <v Speaker 2>know if this was like a recent thing or just <v Speaker 2>some pictures got unearthed. But there was just pictures of <v Speaker 2>Undertaker and around a bunch of like blossoms in Japan, <v Speaker 2>and it was pretty crazy looking. I don't know anything <v Speaker 2>about his actual work there though. <v Speaker 1>See on the opposite, I know everything about Punisher Dice Morgan. <v Speaker 1>I just don't know anything at all about the Undertaker. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so he's like up there like he's a is <v Speaker 2>that like a hidden gym or like everyone knows about <v Speaker 2>Punisher Dice Morgan. <v Speaker 1>Well, I don't really know what other people would think. <v Speaker 1>I only really know what I think, and I think <v Speaker 1>that he was a wrestler around that time for New <v Speaker 1>Japan Pro. <v Speaker 2>Wrestling in like nineteen ninety two area, right. <v Speaker 1>Just sometime around there. Sure short thing. <v Speaker 2>Hmm, Okay, that's cool. We should like watch those or <v Speaker 2>can we not? Or not? Like? Is that? <v Speaker 1>Is that just like a you can watch whatever you <v Speaker 1>want any okay, Like with you, I don't nobody stopping <v Speaker 1>you from consuming media whenever you want. <v Speaker 2>Well that's very that's awesome, right, really, yeah, that's good. <v Speaker 2>I might have to do that. The Berserker is getting <v Speaker 2>a big push on the tour in Japan as a <v Speaker 2>Bruiser Brody clone. And I put this down here because yes, <v Speaker 2>of course that's what he's getting pushed as. What else <v Speaker 2>that a guy that looks and dresses and does everything <v Speaker 2>like Bruiser Brody. They're not going to push him as <v Speaker 2>Andre the Giant. <v Speaker 1>Right yeah? Is this in WWF or Japan? Right now? <v Speaker 2>This is Japan as well? <v Speaker 1>Oh okay, sure thing, Yeah, well, I mean Bruiser Brody <v Speaker 1>was his friend, and of course Brewser Brody passed away, <v Speaker 1>and Berserker thought that he could pay homage to his <v Speaker 1>friend by continuing on the gimmick. Of course, it makes <v Speaker 1>it to the WWF where I think he doesn't understand <v Speaker 1>the rules of at least the Royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>Or any man. He's like the count out guy, right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, he would throw you out and count you out, <v Speaker 1>all right, which on paper you think he would be <v Speaker 1>awesome at the Royal Rumble for some reason, he wasn't. <v Speaker 2>Super not good at it. Yeah, I mean that is <v Speaker 2>very nice. You know, if I die, would you, like, <v Speaker 2>you know, take over be and me as an homage? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? I mean what would I even take over? Though? <v Speaker 1>Like where the mandan? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean you could do that. Yeah, that'd be <v Speaker 2>kind of okay. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I could rock that. <v Speaker 2>The new look television shows begin for ww for the <v Speaker 2>new WCSW Saturday nights on April fourth, with a format <v Speaker 2>similar to Prime Time Wrestling. The first show of that <v Speaker 2>format was taped this past week, and let's just say <v Speaker 2>there is room for improvement. There's a lot of controversy. <v Speaker 2>This is notls're saying that, but there's a lot of <v Speaker 2>controversy over switching from the wrestling format to a talk <v Speaker 2>format for a show that has been an eighteen year <v Speaker 2>tradition and built in audience with a wrestling format. The <v Speaker 2>major Angles will be switched to Worldwide Wrestling with a <v Speaker 2>new format with Jesse Ventura starting on April eleventh. In <v Speaker 2>this way, they are basically copying the WWF, where the <v Speaker 2>major angles are running syndication and the cable shows are <v Speaker 2>more a talk oriented format with lots of repeating the <v Speaker 2>key issues. The syndicated Worldwide Show will generally be taped <v Speaker 2>on Friday nights because it fits in better with Ventur's schedule. <v Speaker 2>That's right, Ross Turner. The ww show will have two <v Speaker 2>or three falls main events and lots of out of <v Speaker 2>the ring features, and generally one major interview of up <v Speaker 2>to five minutes in length per show. I mean that's <v Speaker 2>pretty pretty much on the nose on exactly what this <v Speaker 2>episode is. I you know, when before we fully watched it, <v Speaker 2>I was talking to you about it, and you know, <v Speaker 2>like Saturday night, you know, we watch a lot of <v Speaker 2>Saturday's main event at least WWF. We watched a bunch <v Speaker 2>of those even you know, Wrestling Challenge and stuff like that. <v Speaker 2>We talked about how that was a very like bing <v Speaker 2>bang boom, like flashier flash there very quick segments, quick matches, <v Speaker 2>brain rot of the eighties was, I believe how you <v Speaker 2>put it, which not, which was pretty accurate for you know, <v Speaker 2>how quick stuff moved. And this felt a lot more <v Speaker 2>slowed down, a lot more like dialed in on. You know, <v Speaker 2>here's here's interviews, here's longer matches. You know, the length <v Speaker 2>of the matches on this show was what surprised me <v Speaker 2>the most, honestly. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this was a Southern comfort show. The fact that <v Speaker 1>there's a lot of controversy over changing the show. I <v Speaker 1>wonder how that kind of spilled into nineteen ninety five <v Speaker 1>when they changed to Nitro, because that changes up everything. <v Speaker 1>I mean they changed the entire deal when they go <v Speaker 1>live of course with Nitro going into ninety six and <v Speaker 1>stuff like that, So like, yeah, there's a lot of <v Speaker 1>a lot of differences here, and WCW was changing quite <v Speaker 1>a bit. So I definitely wonder as a fan, you know, <v Speaker 1>going through those years. I mean it's a lot of changing. <v Speaker 1>I wonder how fans like really felt going through all <v Speaker 1>those changes. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean I guess you know, there's options too <v Speaker 2>if they didn't like that WBF was kind of doing. <v Speaker 2>You know, they weren't really changing too much until they <v Speaker 2>were forced to write, so I I you know, like. <v Speaker 1>Well, they were going through a downturn in business here <v Speaker 1>in the next couple of years too. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's that's fucking true. I was reading also that <v Speaker 2>like even in ninety two, Hogan was coming out on <v Speaker 2>house shows and getting booed, and I was like, wow, <v Speaker 2>everything I read Hogan was like booed for our really <v Speaker 2>really long time, super exciting news. Scotty Flamingo wrestling. His <v Speaker 2>wrestling debut should be on pay per view here in <v Speaker 2>WCW very shortly. Oh my god, Like talk about a <v Speaker 2>boom period, A guy that that's coming into to really <v Speaker 2>shake things up. Scotty Flamingo. I'm a big fan, what <v Speaker 2>say you? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? No, Scotty Flamingo's dope E of course goes on <v Speaker 1>to write for the WWF and that's it for Scotty Flamingo, <v Speaker 1>who's out of wrestling after that. <v Speaker 2>Oh oh wow, you have like a way. I mean, <v Speaker 2>I you know, I trust your remembory a lot more, <v Speaker 2>you know, especially stuff like Punisher Dice Morgan. I don't <v Speaker 2>know anything of so I thought I knew Scotty Flamingo. <v Speaker 2>I must have confused. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're thinking about Raven. Totally different, dude. Scotty Flamingo's <v Speaker 1>career comes to an end pretty soon. <v Speaker 2>I always think about Raven as you should watch wrestling. <v Speaker 2>You should be asking where's Raven? And what about Raven? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? What about him? <v Speaker 2>Is what? From The Observer April sixth, nineteen ninety two, <v Speaker 2>there were a lot of shakeups Monday. In the hierarchy <v Speaker 2>of World Championship Wrestling, Bill Shaw, the head of personnel <v Speaker 2>at Turner Broadcasting and a member of the Turner Board, <v Speaker 2>has replaced it Jack Petrick as president of the WCW <v Speaker 2>and top overseer. Officially, Petrick is said to no longer <v Speaker 2>be in charge of the wrestling company because he'll be <v Speaker 2>working full time on a twenty four hour cartoon cable <v Speaker 2>channel that Turner is in the process of putting together <v Speaker 2>Boomerang that channel. Yeah, Cartoon Network even better. <v Speaker 1>Wow, my thought process was probably about ten years too early. <v Speaker 2>There, You were right, I mean you were close though. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I remember on Cartoon Network that they would always <v Speaker 1>advertise for Boomerang twenty four hour cartoons. Hannah bar Barier. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I'm like, how the fuck do I get this? Where <v Speaker 1>is this at? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? I mean, but like, yeah, this is just straight <v Speaker 2>up the you know, yeah, the invent. This guy leaves <v Speaker 2>WCW to go fucking invent the cartoon Network, which is <v Speaker 2>by all means gigantic. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this is a big turning point for cartoons. I mean, <v Speaker 1>we go through a golden era of cartoons here in <v Speaker 1>the nineties, like the mid to late nineties, Nickelodeon jumps <v Speaker 1>on Cartoon Network of course. Yeah, there's a lot of creaks. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>WB Kids, Fox Kids, there's a bunch of stuff. We're <v Speaker 1>taking animes and bringing them over four kids, Like, there's <v Speaker 1>a bunch of stuff, and yeah, I mean, I mean <v Speaker 1>we grew up with that, you know. I assume there's <v Speaker 1>some stuff. I think like when I when we were <v Speaker 1>in our like ten years ago, in our twenties, sure, <v Speaker 1>cartoons I think had a little bit there too, Like <v Speaker 1>Adventure Time was getting big, regular show big. I remember that. <v Speaker 1>I remember like I'd be awake and like my boy <v Speaker 1>was going to work, and uh, it would always be <v Speaker 1>Uncle Grandpa would be on the TV. <v Speaker 2>I don't know what that is. <v Speaker 1>I was living with a couple of people at the time, <v Speaker 1>and like six am Cartoon Network. It would like switch <v Speaker 1>back over from Adult Swim to Cartoon Network. And that <v Speaker 1>shit was so fucking funny because like I would have <v Speaker 1>Adults Swim on and then it was switched back over <v Speaker 1>to Cartoon Network. It'd be Uncle Grandpa going good morning. <v Speaker 2>Dude, Okay, I just Uncle Grimpa. I do know what <v Speaker 2>this fucking Greek is. I've seen I've never watched this, <v Speaker 2>but I know the good morning, and I know this <v Speaker 2>guy's fucking face. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, my boy would come out of the room at <v Speaker 1>six am to go to his job and he'd be <v Speaker 1>like morning. <v Speaker 2>Lex. Luger made his first television appearance on WWF Superstars <v Speaker 2>of Wrestling on Saturday, plugging both Wrestlemaney and the debut <v Speaker 2>of WBF Body Stars on Saturday Morning on the USA Network. Luger, <v Speaker 2>who's wrestling contract a WCW doesn't expire until the end <v Speaker 2>of March in nineteen ninety three. You know, obviously everyone <v Speaker 2>knows about Luger jumping the WCW when Nitro goes on. <v Speaker 2>I don't know how much I actually know about him <v Speaker 2>going from WCW to WWF and also kind of fucking <v Speaker 2>dealing with a shitty contract deal here as well. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know much about that either. <v Speaker 2>That's like they somehow that happened in WWF didn't lock <v Speaker 2>him down for a super duper contract so he wouldn't <v Speaker 2>be able to jump back the same way he was <v Speaker 2>leaving WCB the first time. Like, he just goes to <v Speaker 2>Nitro and they're like, uh, the dude, the fuck ww <v Speaker 2>on the contract? Fuck does on it? Dammit? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean that happens to a lot of dudes. <v Speaker 1>For Vince. I mean they go through an era here. Well, <v Speaker 1>because WWF wasn't doing great business in the first place, <v Speaker 1>so like, you know, trying to like lock these fucking <v Speaker 1>guys down. They're like, why the fuck would I do that? <v Speaker 1>There's another wrestling show that's willing to pay me more sometimes, <v Speaker 1>like I want to exercise my options here. It isn't <v Speaker 1>until WWF like really locks the shit down that they're <v Speaker 1>able to get the people they want to get and <v Speaker 1>lock them down long term. You know, like we see <v Speaker 1>jump fucking ship during the Monday Night Wars all the time. <v Speaker 2>You know, Oh my god, Well that was awesome too. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it created a lot of really cool moments. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, last few things here from The Observer, April thirteenth, <v Speaker 2>nineteen ninety two. WrestleMania eight news Here from Meltzer, the <v Speaker 2>show just happened. Another point needs to be made, and <v Speaker 2>that this is this was the closest thing ever to <v Speaker 2>a steroid free pay per view pro wrestling show from <v Speaker 2>any company. Everyone. He says, well, I'm told there are <v Speaker 2>two exceptions. Look to be off the stuff as compared <v Speaker 2>to last pay per view when more than half the <v Speaker 2>guys look to be on right now, the onus is <v Speaker 2>there to stay that way on WW to follow suit. <v Speaker 2>I just thought that was insane that, you know, the <v Speaker 2>big talking point as Wow, there was no guys on <v Speaker 2>steroids on this fucking show. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's weird. <v Speaker 2>Meltzer says that ky Allen Fry versus Dallas Page angle <v Speaker 2>has got to go. Uh, this is kind of a <v Speaker 2>not a big part of this show. But I have <v Speaker 2>no fucking idea what this ends up with, but they <v Speaker 2>do it all over this Saturn Nite show. I just <v Speaker 2>wanted to put here that Meltzer did not like it <v Speaker 2>from the Observer last thing here. April twenty, nineteen ninety two, <v Speaker 2>the first episode of the new format w CW show <v Speaker 2>did a week weak week two point two rating on <v Speaker 2>April fourth, which funny to see because god damn, how <v Speaker 2>many shows now would love a two point two actually <v Speaker 2>maybe all of them would love a two point two <v Speaker 2>in Day while main event going ahead to head with <v Speaker 2>Russemania did a two point zero in Power Hour Day <v Speaker 2>one point nine. I mean, wow, those are in ninety two. <v Speaker 2>Those were bad ratings. <v Speaker 1>Crazy well, in just five years they flipped that some <v Speaker 1>bitch around to like eight ratings sometimes. <v Speaker 2>Shit, yeah, you're right, flip the two point two to <v Speaker 2>a Oh that's flip two point two. <v Speaker 1>Zero point two fund up turnaround. <v Speaker 2>Shit. Well that is it for the observer. Now let's <v Speaker 2>talk about WCW Saturday Night's debut episode April fourth, nineteen <v Speaker 2>ninety two. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's get into Saturday Nights. We get a <v Speaker 1>cold open here to start the show. The show starts <v Speaker 1>with a very early nineties WCW logo reveal, which I <v Speaker 1>can only assume was the intro to the previous show <v Speaker 1>before they rebranded here to Saturday Night, and it breaks <v Speaker 1>into a clip from Brian Pillman versus Juician Liger. <v Speaker 2>Dude, Okay, I again maybe just unawares. I didn't really <v Speaker 2>because they Pilman Liger everyone knows as the match that <v Speaker 2>starts the first nightro, which is three years after this. <v Speaker 2>I didn't realize they were already popping off Pilman and <v Speaker 2>Liger as like a rivalry in nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean they must have some matches here. We <v Speaker 1>actually get a reference to Great Muda later. Also, yes, <v Speaker 1>who of course is a Juggalo, which. <v Speaker 2>We all know him as like being you know, Violent <v Speaker 2>Jay Shaggy to Dupe and the Great Muda and the <v Speaker 2>Great Malenko. Yeah, there's the funky music intro. Here they <v Speaker 2>show the Pilman and Lager spot. The Pilman does a <v Speaker 2>missile drop kick off the top and the Lagger dropkicks <v Speaker 2>them out of the air. That's I don't know if <v Speaker 2>that's like the Pilman classic because the spoilers he also <v Speaker 2>does that later on this show. Then the screen goes <v Speaker 2>all fuzzy and Jesse the body God damn Ventura this man. <v Speaker 2>I mean, we cannot watch a show before nineteen ninety <v Speaker 2>five that that does not have Jesse Ventur on it. Somehow, <v Speaker 2>he's in every company on every show. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Jesse Ventura got around, you know. Good for him, <v Speaker 1>You're damn right, yeah, good for him. <v Speaker 2>Man, he's great too. He's actually like the role that <v Speaker 2>he has here, you know. I mean, I don't actually <v Speaker 2>I have seen way more Jesse Ventura doing commentary stuff <v Speaker 2>than than wrestling. I don't know how he was as <v Speaker 2>a wrestler. Imagine he was good because everyone he was over. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, he's fantastic as you know, the kind of <v Speaker 2>the second guy healed jerk off here. <v Speaker 1>We watched him in a tag team match on Oh <v Speaker 1>my god, what was it? <v Speaker 2>Wwf uh one of those wrestling challenger a certain event <v Speaker 2>where he was with It was against the fucking He'll <v Speaker 2>be a Jim Family. <v Speaker 1>Yeah right, he had a crazy outfit on. <v Speaker 2>That's one of the things I think I remember most <v Speaker 2>as well. Always a plethora of colors. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>So the screen goes fuzzy and Jesse Ventura comes over <v Speaker 2>the screen and you just hear his voice and he says, <v Speaker 2>hold on, hold on here, this ain't no way to <v Speaker 2>start a new era of w CW wrestling. Give me <v Speaker 2>a camera. He fucking snatches the camera from the guy <v Speaker 2>and starts just showing the crowd and he says, put on, <v Speaker 2>put on that new music I brought in. Chessy Van <v Speaker 2>Tura is like producer of the show. This is fantastic. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this is already paid dividends. <v Speaker 2>I'm ready. W CW is ready. Let's fire right over <v Speaker 2>the camera. Two to my buddy Eric cy Spurling Bischoff <v Speaker 2>and I needed to find out who this was. Si <v Speaker 2>Spurling was the founder of Hairclub for Men. <v Speaker 1>So that's ah right, okay, Eric Bischoff I love that <v Speaker 1>Eric Bischoff is like looking to the other side. So <v Speaker 1>let's throw over to Eric Bischoff. He turns. <v Speaker 2>Hey, he was ready. <v Speaker 1>Dude, he looks like he could be hosting supermarket sweep <v Speaker 1>or something. <v Speaker 2>He I mean, he is the most TV host. He <v Speaker 2>could be on any primetime program. And this is like <v Speaker 2>what a host would look like for sure. Why dude, Okay, <v Speaker 2>I fucking I fucking whammy heavy. <v Speaker 1>I used to run through those shows. I loved him. <v Speaker 2>Have we I don't know if we've God, I don't <v Speaker 2>know how much whammy has come up on the show. <v Speaker 2>Have you seen the whammy that the Pressure Luck docum <v Speaker 2>no on the dude that like he's he was a <v Speaker 2>super fan of Pressure Luck and he would like sit <v Speaker 2>every night and watch it with his wife, and he <v Speaker 2>eventually figured out the pattern and he like studied it <v Speaker 2>and studied and studied, then went on the show and <v Speaker 2>like ran their pockets for like so like a bunch <v Speaker 2>of episodes and then like they got suspicious and there <v Speaker 2>was like a legal situation with it. Dude, you should <v Speaker 2>check it out. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, dude, there was a there was a bunch of <v Speaker 1>shit like that. I feel like like I feel like <v Speaker 1>all those game shows had some sort of controversy where <v Speaker 1>somebody just figured out the formula and like just one <v Speaker 1>of the I love that. There were so many shows <v Speaker 1>like that back in the day. Like I like that <v Speaker 1>there were so many like you had Who Wants to <v Speaker 1>Be a Millionaire? Right, you had the Wheel of Fortune, <v Speaker 1>you had Supermarket Sweep, and sure, I don't even know <v Speaker 1>do they really make shows like that. I guess there's <v Speaker 1>like a few, right. <v Speaker 2>They they do. They're actually I don't know, Like I <v Speaker 2>actually once in a while, especially when I have my <v Speaker 2>parents over or really any guests over. Game Show Network <v Speaker 2>is a fantastic show to just have one, right, yeah, right, <v Speaker 2>just like you can't go wrong. But there is, uh, <v Speaker 2>you know, nothing that's like I don't think popping off. <v Speaker 2>But there's a lot of fucking trying to reinvent the <v Speaker 2>wheel game shows for sure. <v Speaker 1>I remember they brought back Supermarket Sweep for a minute <v Speaker 1>and I was watching it for a minute. Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>love I just love that show for some reason, just <v Speaker 1>running down the aisles to get the ham. Let me <v Speaker 1>get the ham yeah, and the beans, let me get <v Speaker 1>the five of the beans. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, right, and if you want to get the super <v Speaker 2>special fucking prize of the night. You got to make <v Speaker 2>me a baloney sandwich. <v Speaker 1>Off camera? Thank you? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, dude, that shit is fucking awesome. You know what <v Speaker 2>else I'd like, James? The show that I enjoyed. I <v Speaker 2>enjoyed a good family feud. <v Speaker 1>Oh, I love family feud. Yeah, that was awesome. <v Speaker 2>I do enjoy a good family feud. <v Speaker 1>I must say, what's something in your house that's big <v Speaker 1>and long? A penis? <v Speaker 2>Name something? <v Speaker 1>You? <v Speaker 2>Finally a toilet? Shit? Steve, show me shiit? <v Speaker 1>What's a show that sucks? Monday Night Raw? <v Speaker 2>You never want to. <v Speaker 1>First ever? <v Speaker 2>Here in so Bischoff's welcomes us to the show from <v Speaker 2>the studios of World Championshi Wrestling. This is w Saturay Nights, <v Speaker 2>and here's your host, Jim Ross. There's a I mean <v Speaker 2>a six hosts on this show. Jair's in the ring <v Speaker 2>with two studio chairs, and there's a nice backdrop. It's <v Speaker 2>like a set within the ring, which is a pretty <v Speaker 2>cool look. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I liked it too. <v Speaker 2>Jerred welcomes us to this very special edition of w <v Speaker 2>c A Saturday Nights. He says, you're gonna see Flying <v Speaker 2>Brian defend the light heavyweight Championship, and we'll take a <v Speaker 2>look at the US champion, Rick Rude. We'll have a <v Speaker 2>tag team match Cactus Jack and Diamond Dallas Page. We'll <v Speaker 2>be by the Fabulous free Birds, and a two out <v Speaker 2>of three falls main event. But now I'd like to <v Speaker 2>introduce the man to be the co host this week <v Speaker 2>on the first edition of Wwchat Knight, Jesse the Body, <v Speaker 2>Ventura and the crowd. I mean, we must be in <v Speaker 2>like talk show host era already because they're going which <v Speaker 2>is a big talk show thing for some reason. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they probably had studio deals right where like it's <v Speaker 1>said on the TV to cheer or boo. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so here comes Stone Cold in a bandana. <v Speaker 1>Hey, Jim Ross, give me a hell. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Sean, I don't know who the fuck you think <v Speaker 2>you're talking to. <v Speaker 1>You're really gonna like this gimmick in a few years, Jim. <v Speaker 2>They steal everything from me. Ross. <v Speaker 1>He grabs the camera and he zooms in and he says, <v Speaker 1>hull coke and you son of a bitch. Just so <v Speaker 1>you know, this guy's taking over the business. <v Speaker 2>This guy's taking over the business, and it looks like me. <v Speaker 1>Just Just wait, you'll see someone like me and you'll <v Speaker 1>know the Future's comment Hogan. <v Speaker 2>Jess, you would model himself over the next star and <v Speaker 2>just say, this guy's up next. It's not me, but <v Speaker 2>it looks like me. <v Speaker 1>And that's the bottom line, Hogan. <v Speaker 2>So Jesse says, I'm happy to be here. Ww is <v Speaker 2>the wrestling of the future. I love that line. He <v Speaker 2>says it a few times during the show. I think that, <v Speaker 2>like in ninety two, that probably was the coolest shit <v Speaker 2>ever to hear. <v Speaker 1>Dude, especially because there was a lot of like idealization <v Speaker 1>of like what the future holds in ninety two, Like <v Speaker 1>so nowadays everything is shit and we're fun, but like <v Speaker 1>in nineteen ninety two, now actually, right in nineteen ninety two, though, <v Speaker 1>like people were really looking forward to growing up and <v Speaker 1>seeing what's next. Ninetymore were cooks. <v Speaker 2>Have fun of that, dude, the future used to be <v Speaker 2>like super exciting. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, man, no shit's changed for real. <v Speaker 2>Well, Jr. Says the two and of three fall main <v Speaker 2>event will be for the TV title, the former champion <v Speaker 2>the Zeeman, challenging stunning Steve Austin, and Jesse says two <v Speaker 2>out of three falls match is very unique because it allows <v Speaker 2>you one mistake, because you can be beat and still <v Speaker 2>win the match. I Jesse's insight on wrestling is fantastic. <v Speaker 2>He adds like so much to these shows. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean he very much understood wrestling and he <v Speaker 1>was able to verbalize it. That's a big thing. You <v Speaker 1>can understand wrestling. A lot of guys can't verbalize that. <v Speaker 1>But I always thought Jesse was good at. <v Speaker 2>It, dude. I mean, like there's little things that he <v Speaker 2>talks about on the show, even the light heavyweight stuff <v Speaker 2>where I'm like, damn, he puts it in such a <v Speaker 2>way that like this feels like a sport. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, And like I love just how casual the <v Speaker 1>conversation felt between Jim Ross and Jesse. They could have <v Speaker 1>had Jesse Ventura as like the main host with Jim <v Speaker 1>Ross every week and it would have been awesome. <v Speaker 2>Absolutely. <v Speaker 1>So they actually spoke about the card a little bit <v Speaker 1>earlier here, like you went over it, yes, Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>mean interesting, like group of guys here, a lot of <v Speaker 1>guys that have been a big part of the wrestling <v Speaker 1>business and like will be. <v Speaker 2>Sure Yeah, I mean Cactus, ddp Rick Rude Like it's <v Speaker 2>a it's a good mesh. It's it's not. They talk <v Speaker 2>about the world title scene, and like staying in Vader <v Speaker 2>and all. But this is they have faith that even there, <v Speaker 2>you know, maybe I guess you could say mid card <v Speaker 2>guys were gonna draw. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I couldn't believe that the Fabulous free Birds were <v Speaker 1>wrestling on an episode of W in nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 2>Crazy. Yeah, I did not expect to see that too. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>their early eighties team here, right, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 1>Just nuts, man, they're still going, well, we get a <v Speaker 1>pre tape here, the z Man will be challenging, of course, <v Speaker 1>stunning Steve Austin in the main event. I'm guessing at <v Speaker 1>the time that they were doing two out of three <v Speaker 1>falls for the mains for these so they could stick <v Speaker 1>the commercials in there. <v Speaker 2>I didn't even consider that. I thought they just did <v Speaker 2>it because, you know, just to have a Hey, every <v Speaker 2>week you'll see a gimmick like this, But that actually <v Speaker 2>makes yours probably is way more making sense. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean now that they have the studio show <v Speaker 1>and everything like, that's something that they can very easily control. <v Speaker 1>And yeah, I just imagine it with something like that, <v Speaker 1>especially because they were working with Turner and stuff, you know, <v Speaker 1>so like right, Turner is probably like, yeah, we can <v Speaker 1>just put the commercials in between these falls here because <v Speaker 1>he liked wrestling too, so it was probably easy. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, for sure. So z Man is Tom zenc. For <v Speaker 2>anyone that don't know, I guess if you don't know <v Speaker 2>who the z Man is is very good chance you <v Speaker 2>also don't know who Tom z Inc is. But that's <v Speaker 2>who it is, because we might talk about in the <v Speaker 2>WWF at some point as well. Uh. He says that <v Speaker 2>the z Man coming at you, he's super fired up. <v Speaker 2>They have like, you know, a cool background here, very <v Speaker 2>of its time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's a green screen, right. <v Speaker 2>Yes, yes, that's right. Tonight, I've got the opportunity of <v Speaker 2>a lifetime. Steve Austin put the bell online for two <v Speaker 2>out of three falls, and that means you can goof <v Speaker 2>up only once. They've emphasized that a lot that like <v Speaker 2>you know, which I I don't. I don't know how <v Speaker 2>many times I've heard people talk about two out of <v Speaker 2>three falls in that way, like Jesse brought up, like <v Speaker 2>usually two at three falls, it's people saying I'm gonna <v Speaker 2>fucking run you through too straight, and that's it. This <v Speaker 2>is like, okay, listen, I can fuck up once and <v Speaker 2>you can fuck up once. But that's you know, that's <v Speaker 2>all we got. That's the difference here, which I is. <v Speaker 2>It's pretty cool to look at it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, one of my favorite gimmicks growing up was the <v Speaker 1>Briscos would always win the first two falls. It would <v Speaker 1>never go to the third ball. <v Speaker 2>And then stein Erico beating him for the fucking first time. <v Speaker 1>Was nuts, right, just an easy payoff. Yeah, it was very, <v Speaker 1>very good stuff, he. <v Speaker 2>Said, Steve Austin, I've had that bet around my waist <v Speaker 2>and now I've been on a roll. The Tailor made <v Speaker 2>Man's gone down. I was like, who the fuck is that? <v Speaker 2>This whole show was me saying, who the fuck is <v Speaker 2>the Taylor made Man, the hammer Valentine's gone down. That's <v Speaker 2>an awesome way to say his name. And next is you, <v Speaker 2>Steve Austin, Paulie said, in my business or I'll knock <v Speaker 2>your face off. I'm behind, I'm rocking with the fucking. <v Speaker 1>Zeeman, Taylor Made Man, the Hammers, Valentines, and Steve Austin, <v Speaker 1>you're going down, and paul ye, pay the fucking boys, <v Speaker 1>what the fuck are you doing? <v Speaker 2>New York sucks. New York fucking suck. <v Speaker 1>You suck. We got to a pre tape here with <v Speaker 1>stunning Steve Austin. I almost caught him stone cold, but <v Speaker 1>he is stunning Steve Austin here, and of course he's <v Speaker 1>in the dangerous alliance with paul E dangerously. <v Speaker 2>There's only one man that's stone cold here, James, and <v Speaker 2>that's me. <v Speaker 1>Just wait, Hogan, once he gets this look, it's all over, buddy. <v Speaker 2>He just has to look at me in the mirror. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>So Steve Austin's here, he's got the hair, he's got <v Speaker 2>the robe. This is a totally different man, like I <v Speaker 2>don't know facial hair, no facial hair all. Paulie's here, <v Speaker 2>he's got the phone and they Hayman says that it's <v Speaker 2>the twentieth or sorry, Paullie dangerously excuse me, He says, <v Speaker 2>it's the twentieth anniversary of ww on TBS, and who <v Speaker 2>better to be in the main event and the best <v Speaker 2>wrestler on TV today? Stunning Steve Austin and Austin like again, <v Speaker 2>like this, I don't know his voice, Like I can't <v Speaker 2>do Austin from a voice here. <v Speaker 1>He doesn't't just super regular. <v Speaker 2>He doesn't have it yet. Yeah right, he says, because <v Speaker 2>I'm such a generous guy, I'm gonna give the Z <v Speaker 2>Man not one, but two out of three falls. But Paul, <v Speaker 2>I don't think he's man enough to beat me. It's <v Speaker 2>it's a it's a mind fuck later because it's Steve <v Speaker 2>Austin in the main event of the show and Jr. <v Speaker 2>Is commentating it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah right, he's not like a super big Steve Austin guy. <v Speaker 2>Both guys are totally different. <v Speaker 1>Yeah right, A lot changes in the next couple of years. <v Speaker 1>Z Man. I think you absolutely suck. <v Speaker 2>Z Man. You're a piece of trash. <v Speaker 1>You want to step the stonecalled Steve Austin son, you <v Speaker 1>better come shoot. <v Speaker 2>You put in ES instead of Z and that's what <v Speaker 2>I think of your son. <v Speaker 1>You're stink like shit. Watch paulim this group fucking sucks. <v Speaker 2>Wow, Ross, he's really found it. <v Speaker 1>We got into commercial and we come back now. Jim <v Speaker 1>Ross and Jesse Ventura are sitting down in the chairs. <v Speaker 1>We have a CRT television in the middle and actually <v Speaker 1>gonna be used to show footage and then zoom into it. <v Speaker 2>How cool is this shot? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's awesome. <v Speaker 2>Man. <v Speaker 1>You got the set the WCW Saturday Night like Neon <v Speaker 1>logo in the back, the banners, the chair CRT's so <v Speaker 1>fucking nineties is unreal. We go to a pre tape <v Speaker 1>here it zooms in on the CRT. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>We go to full screen and we see Liger versus <v Speaker 1>Pillman from Super Brawl Too. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Jesse Ventura says that it was quite possibly the <v Speaker 2>greatest match he's ever witnessed in his life. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, dude, Wow, that's a lot. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if I fucking you know we've reviewed <v Speaker 2>the nitro that they have the match on. I don't <v Speaker 2>know if I've seen this one. I might have to <v Speaker 2>like put this down for us to watch along with <v Speaker 2>the Undertaker in Japan. I already forgot the fucking name. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>meet to punisher Dice Morgan. <v Speaker 1>You know a lot more about him than me. <v Speaker 2>That's crazy. Wow, life goes by real quick. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, right, that happens when you get older. <v Speaker 2>Jesse says that Pilman won it. But I'll tell you this, <v Speaker 2>Jim Ross, I don't think we've heard the last of <v Speaker 2>Juicians on their lager in WCW. So there, I mean, <v Speaker 2>super high on him already in ninety two and sticks <v Speaker 2>around for a minute. Of course, Jr. Says, so many <v Speaker 2>great light heavyweights in WW let's take a look back <v Speaker 2>at super Bowl too, as you mentioned, James, and they <v Speaker 2>show clips of it where Lager superplexes Pillman from the <v Speaker 2>top and gets a two and then Liger heads up, <v Speaker 2>goes for the flying head but missus Pillman moves and <v Speaker 2>bridges up on Liger and gets a big win there <v Speaker 2>for the light heavyweight title. <v Speaker 1>Huge reaction from Jim Ross here, and the crowd was <v Speaker 1>super hot for it. <v Speaker 2>There's a super big push on this show, especially like, hey, <v Speaker 2>light heavyweights kick fucking ass like this all I loved it. <v Speaker 2>What should be looking at? Yeah? Yeah, it was cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. Actually, Jim Ross starts going over the division as <v Speaker 1>it is. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we're back here at the you know the set, <v Speaker 2>and j R. Says, a lot of great athletes competing <v Speaker 2>here in the light heavyweight division. Richard Morton, Johnny b <v Speaker 2>Bed fire Breaker, Chip, Brad Armstrong is gonna challenge Flying <v Speaker 2>Brian here shortly. Who the hell's fire breaker? Chimp? He <v Speaker 2>was a fire is that right? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? I think you won the US tag team titles <v Speaker 1>at some point. <v Speaker 2>I mean I just looked him up and he I <v Speaker 2>mean literally, it's the definition of a firefighter. He's got <v Speaker 2>the hat super on the nose. Okay, right, yeah, right. <v Speaker 2>Jesse Ventura super fired up about the light heavyweights. He says, <v Speaker 2>I'm so happy to see light heavyweight division back in <v Speaker 2>WCW because you're going to see smaller guys with unbelievable <v Speaker 2>aerial tactics. These guys get to go at each other <v Speaker 2>fast and furious without the disadvantage of giving up one <v Speaker 2>hundred and fifty pounds to a heavyweight. And I was like, <v Speaker 2>that's like the best way you could put over a <v Speaker 2>why a division exists? Ever, Jesse says, you know, they <v Speaker 2>got different moves, they'd go off the turnbuckle. They're not <v Speaker 2>nothing sacred in a light heavyweight. Bountain Jr. Says that <v Speaker 2>Armstrong and Pilman have been partners, and how does that <v Speaker 2>affect the match? And Jesse says, you know, you can <v Speaker 2>be friends outside the ring, but you can't be friends <v Speaker 2>in the ring. Regardless of their friendship. When they get <v Speaker 2>in there, that's when the money and the titles are <v Speaker 2>on the line. You're gonna see Armstrong go after Flying <v Speaker 2>Brian with everything. I again, I just I can't. I <v Speaker 2>can't wax potic enough about how much I love this presentation, <v Speaker 2>Like and I will say, you know, we get into <v Speaker 2>this match of the next match is Pilman and Bret <v Speaker 2>Enschrunk for the light heavyweight title. <v Speaker 1>This gets time, it does, it does get time, and uh, <v Speaker 1>it's dope. I mean, they're obviously positioning Brian Pillman as <v Speaker 1>a big deal here, and they're doing a great job <v Speaker 1>at it. <v Speaker 2>He's also hurt here, by the way, He's got like <v Speaker 2>a fucking back dealio going on. <v Speaker 1>Dude, he is always fucking hurt. <v Speaker 2>That's also true. That might be. You can probably say <v Speaker 2>that about everyone on the roster though, right like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>he's guys getting beat into the fucking ground. Uh, but yeah, like, uh, <v Speaker 2>you know, if it just in comparison to you know, <v Speaker 2>we've watched a couple WBF shows, you know around this time. <v Speaker 2>Those are all bang bang bang bang bang. Like you know, <v Speaker 2>if you get if you get a five minute match, <v Speaker 2>you're that's something to like righte about because that's super <v Speaker 2>long for a w BF TV show at the time. <v Speaker 2>But this, I'm pretty like every except for the maybe <v Speaker 2>the Rick Rude match, everything gets like time time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, if you had a name on the show, <v Speaker 1>then you weren't go in like two minutes on this, <v Speaker 1>so yeah, it was like an actual match the Bret <v Speaker 1>Armstrong was a contender, right, so like it. <v Speaker 2>Gets okay, yeah that makes sense. Yeah, okay. <v Speaker 1>Also, I love the light Heavyweight Championship. This belt is <v Speaker 1>so cool. It's so simplistic, it's so classic. It's got <v Speaker 1>five plates, it's got the curled border that WCW like <v Speaker 1>to use a lot on their belts read backing for <v Speaker 1>the lettering, and it's like almost like the big gold <v Speaker 1>sort of texture on the plate's blue globe. I mean, <v Speaker 1>you can't beat this. It's just super classic, Like I <v Speaker 1>love it. I love that WCW kept this esthetic like <v Speaker 1>for their belts for so long. Like I feel like <v Speaker 1>a lot of their belts like kept this for a <v Speaker 1>long time, and I always really enjoyed that. <v Speaker 2>So we move on here to Brad Armstrong and Brian <v Speaker 2>Pilman as we mentioned for the WSV Light Heavyweight Championship, <v Speaker 2>and both guys are in the ring. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so they start off things here. Pilman takes advantage <v Speaker 1>early here where the head scissors and a drop kick. <v Speaker 1>Something I really enjoy about matches from this era is <v Speaker 1>like how definitive a shine is, Like this is very <v Speaker 1>much Brian Pillman's shine if that makes shitt okay, yes, <v Speaker 1>Like Armstrong gets up for a second, but Pilman is <v Speaker 1>back with like an insane string of moves into a <v Speaker 1>pin like right, Armstrong like might get something, he might <v Speaker 1>get him down, like with like an arm ringer or something. <v Speaker 1>But Pilman's doing like you know, ran a fucking hip <v Speaker 1>toss arm drag. It's built for him to get over here, right, <v Speaker 1>Pilman locks in and a dominal stretch here on the <v Speaker 1>ground before Armstrong makes a reversal, and then he makes <v Speaker 1>Pillman miss a drop kick, and then he reverses with <v Speaker 1>his own adominal stretch there. <v Speaker 2>I like that, dude. They were on commentary like going <v Speaker 2>nuts over the seated abdominal stretch. Like Jesse was like, <v Speaker 2>oh shit, like this is something we only see Pilman doing. <v Speaker 2>He just debuted at the pay per view and this <v Speaker 2>is like a move that is like a game change. <v Speaker 2>Dress said, Holy holy shit, the seed is abdominal is <v Speaker 2>like a big fucking deal here. But then I was <v Speaker 2>sitting there, I'm like, shit, I'm buying the seat of <v Speaker 2>abdominal out Like this shit's awesome. <v Speaker 1>Brad Armstrong heads up to the top here, but Pilman <v Speaker 1>hits a standing drop kick and Armstrong tumbles to the outside. <v Speaker 1>So Pilman hits a dive to the floor here and <v Speaker 1>then he throws Armstrong back in and he heads back up, <v Speaker 1>So Pillman goes for a drop kick, Armstrong goes for <v Speaker 1>a drop kick. They kind of drop kick each other. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, it's it's the same thing that they that <v Speaker 2>Pilman did a liger, which I like, I don't know <v Speaker 2>if that's like a they're they're trying to push that <v Speaker 2>like people are learning Pilman shit or or what it is. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, he kind of dropped. It's you know the <v Speaker 2>RVD Linux have one guy did it off the top. <v Speaker 1>Pilman crucifix pins Armstrong for a two here, but Armstrong <v Speaker 1>fires back with a power slam of his own. Armstrong <v Speaker 1>goes for a superplex, but Pilman head butts him off. <v Speaker 1>Pilman goes for a flying cross body off the top here, <v Speaker 1>but Armstrong rolls through into a pin for a two <v Speaker 1>point nine. <v Speaker 2>That was so close, because I for a second, dude, <v Speaker 2>I was like, oh, like it's the first episode of <v Speaker 2>some something. Maybe they would like switch it out just <v Speaker 2>for a week. <v Speaker 1>You know, I love this. I mean he got close. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>that was really good. Pillman follows up with a spinning <v Speaker 1>heel kick for a two. Here he goes up for <v Speaker 1>a big super Fly splash, but Armstrong gets his knees <v Speaker 1>up and Armstrong hits his move aside a Russian leg sweep. <v Speaker 2>That's Armstrong's move. I said, oh shit, yeah, hell yeah, <v Speaker 2>it is, hell yeah it is. This is it. But <v Speaker 2>they are so close to the ropes. <v Speaker 1>Dude, dude, I love it being his move. Like Jim <v Speaker 1>Ross says, that's his move, not his finisher, that's his move, <v Speaker 1>And I like that terminology way more like when I <v Speaker 1>hear like his finisher, I'm like, sounds like a video <v Speaker 1>game or something like his move video game thing, right, <v Speaker 1>And that's fine. Obviously we grew up on the video <v Speaker 1>games too, and like we call it finisher and everyone <v Speaker 1>calls it finisher. But I feel like when I'm watching <v Speaker 1>the show, I can say he's doing his finisher as <v Speaker 1>a fan watching, like, oh, that's his finisher. Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>don't know the people on the show should be saying <v Speaker 1>that's his finisher. <v Speaker 2>You know, that's legit. I legit, like feel the exact <v Speaker 2>same way, Like I think I accepted finisher because one, <v Speaker 2>you know, like you said, we're you know, that's what <v Speaker 2>it is in the games, Like I know that, I <v Speaker 2>know that, I know move set, you know. Yeah, yeah, games. <v Speaker 2>So like I didn't know what else to say. But <v Speaker 2>then you know JR. Selling this like, oh, that's his move. <v Speaker 2>I was like, that is a way cooler way to <v Speaker 2>say that. And you know, we've had this discussion before <v Speaker 2>about terms like that, Like I hate when people say <v Speaker 2>promo on a show, like it is one, but it <v Speaker 2>feels like I shouldn't be hearing that right, like shit <v Speaker 2>like that. <v Speaker 1>So he hits the side Russian leg sweep here, but <v Speaker 1>Armstrong pins them and Pillman's foot is under the rope. <v Speaker 2>Too close, and this is like, again, I don't know <v Speaker 2>who you know credit to whoever was the finish guy. <v Speaker 2>All the finishers on the show are awesome, Like they <v Speaker 2>it's almost like you know they they win because they <v Speaker 2>were a vet and they knew they were in the <v Speaker 2>right place right time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I love the way this finish panned out. Armstrong <v Speaker 1>talks to the raft because his foot was under the rope, <v Speaker 1>s Pilman is able to roll out to the apron <v Speaker 1>and he hits his flying clothes line and picks up <v Speaker 1>the win air Pillman. <v Speaker 2>That's his move. <v Speaker 1>That's pretty sweet, man, that is his fucking move. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it gets to win and uh, I mean crowds <v Speaker 2>fired up, they like, I mean the crowd you can <v Speaker 2>tell Pilman's getting some fucking steeze here too, like. <v Speaker 1>Dude's super solid match here man. <v Speaker 2>Yes, I actually really like this match a lot. I <v Speaker 2>uh you know, I know more of uh loose cannon Pilman. <v Speaker 2>You know, after the injuries where he was he wasn't <v Speaker 2>really it was a flying anymore. Yeah, he was, you know, <v Speaker 2>he was changing his style a lot more. <v Speaker 1>So that's a gun. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, exactly, promo guy Pilman, Like dude, I I love <v Speaker 2>that stuff, but like it's it's it's weird because same <v Speaker 2>fucking vain right, the stone Cold that I know or <v Speaker 2>Steve Austin I know, totally different than the guy on <v Speaker 2>this show. So this ww early stuff is like a <v Speaker 2>look at how they were before they were I guess <v Speaker 2>stars right again, Like I said, I really don't know <v Speaker 2>much about Brad Armstrong. I don't It's not the first <v Speaker 2>time we've watched him on the pod. <v Speaker 1>And I know we've seen him quite a bit. Actually, <v Speaker 1>I feel like you've seen Brad Armstrong a few times <v Speaker 1>in a few different eras. <v Speaker 2>And I think he's every time, I probably have the <v Speaker 2>same direction of the Wow, this guy's like pretty good. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, solid match. I think we probably say that after <v Speaker 1>most of his matches. Yeah. Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura <v Speaker 1>introduced Ron Simmons, who does a lot of work with <v Speaker 1>the youth groups, and they actually bring up his time <v Speaker 1>at Florida State where they retired his jersey. <v Speaker 2>Dude, this is the most like, here's the greatest guy <v Speaker 2>ever video I've ever seen. Like I only wanted to <v Speaker 2>see this guy win the world title after this, which <v Speaker 2>is exactly what they wanted. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I believe this is leading into his match with <v Speaker 1>Big Van Vader, right. <v Speaker 2>I don't think that happens for a second, though. This <v Speaker 2>might be like the very beginning of it, because I <v Speaker 2>think stick in Vader we see at least through the summer, <v Speaker 2>and then I want to say the Ron Simmons thing <v Speaker 2>is like at the end of the year, if not <v Speaker 2>the beginning of ninety three, I want to say it <v Speaker 2>was the end of this year though, So yeah, like <v Speaker 2>you know, fucking they show this video. I mean, Jesse, <v Speaker 2>even turn Is putting him over is a huge, you know, <v Speaker 2>a fantastic athlete, and they retired his number. And he's <v Speaker 2>a tough he says. Jesse says, he he proved he's <v Speaker 2>a tough guy because wrestling is a lot tougher than football. <v Speaker 2>There's no pads in wrestling. Jared S's all right, she <v Speaker 2>go to this video. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, let's go to this video about football real quick. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, fuck football gym. So yeah, this video they showed <v Speaker 2>s Ron Simmons being narrated by Tony Schavani and showing that, <v Speaker 2>you know, all the cool shit that he did. He <v Speaker 2>had an impressive career on the gridiron at Florida State <v Speaker 2>with coach Bobby Baldine. I believe it is Bobby boding Star, <v Speaker 2>I wrote, I wrote Valdein. I knew it was with <v Speaker 2>a B, and then I had it all wrong. Bobby Bowden. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, he was the coach at Florida State in nineteen <v Speaker 1>ninety two. I remember when I was growing up. Florida <v Speaker 1>State had a couple of good years too. <v Speaker 2>Shovanni says that Ron spends a lot of time working <v Speaker 2>with the young people. The youth and they show Ron speaking. <v Speaker 2>I mean, this is again, this is the the most <v Speaker 2>baby face that I've ever seen. He's He's standing there <v Speaker 2>in front of a group of kids and he says, hey, <v Speaker 2>don't do drugs, guys. And then he takes someone on <v Speaker 2>a school bus ride to go to a WW show <v Speaker 2>for free, Like, oh my god, oh my. <v Speaker 1>God, you're doing a great job. Yeah, this is awesome. <v Speaker 2>And then they show him working out and he's fucking gigantic. <v Speaker 1>He's jacked. Oh man, Yeah he's awesome. He looks strange. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that was sick. I mean, we've talked about Ron Simmons <v Speaker 1>probably a lot on this pot. I mean he's like <v Speaker 1>pretty much on damn near every episode of everything we've <v Speaker 1>watched throughout the years, and I mean, he's gotta be <v Speaker 1>one of my favorite wrestlers ever. Like we had just <v Speaker 1>talked about it. The APA run is like, I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's legitimately one of my favorite tag team runs ever, <v Speaker 1>like any team. And we watched the match where he <v Speaker 1>faced Big Van Vader, fucking awesome match with a with <v Speaker 1>a fantastic finish. Yeah, dude's awesome. Man, No, it's awesome, <v Speaker 1>and it's cool to see him in this situation here <v Speaker 1>where they're doing sit downs with them and they're putting <v Speaker 1>them over big here. It's it's sweet to see. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, like you said, so they do do a sit <v Speaker 2>down and interview with them, they bring him on. He <v Speaker 2>comes out and a suit comes through the crowd, crowds <v Speaker 2>fired up, and I mean they put him over huge. <v Speaker 2>Here Jr. Is asking him, you know, like what does <v Speaker 2>it mean to be a positive role model? And he says, <v Speaker 2>it's not only important for me, but other athletes and <v Speaker 2>you know, people in general to be important role models. <v Speaker 2>Lots of the kids immortalize people so much that they <v Speaker 2>find out sometimes they're you know, find out some things <v Speaker 2>that they're let down, and it's important that parents instill <v Speaker 2>in them that were humans too, and you know, they <v Speaker 2>it's important to find heroes in their own communities. I said, <v Speaker 2>oh my god, Like, give this guy all six titles, <v Speaker 2>give him all the bells. <v Speaker 1>I mean that's really good advice too, just in general. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>looking to your communities and see who's helping who, and like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>I do think that's actually really good advice. <v Speaker 2>And he talks about, you know, he was fortunate enough <v Speaker 2>to go through high school and he didn't have the <v Speaker 2>best financial background in the world, but he was fortunate <v Speaker 2>enough to make it through college and he says, you know, <v Speaker 2>take what's giving you and stay in there and finish. <v Speaker 2>And they go on to talk about the world title situation. <v Speaker 2>JR Asks him about Sting and Vader, and Ron says, <v Speaker 2>you know, I'm sure his Sting's a great champion and <v Speaker 2>he worked through the ranks like everyone else when we're friends, <v Speaker 2>but if the opportunity presents itself, then so be it. <v Speaker 2>And you know we talked about as you mentioned, like <v Speaker 2>you know that. He goes on to beat Vader for <v Speaker 2>the title and Jesse here asks He says, there any <v Speaker 2>key motivation at WW has never had a black world champion, <v Speaker 2>and Ron says, yeah, by all means there's motivation. Let's <v Speaker 2>be real. You know, life throughout history hasn't been the <v Speaker 2>best for us in this country, and for me to <v Speaker 2>be as a positive role model, I can't think of <v Speaker 2>anything more positive than to be the first black man <v Speaker 2>in the world that belt. And I'm like, thank god <v Speaker 2>they didn't fuck this up, because what a fantastic story <v Speaker 2>this is. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely, and JR. <v Speaker 2>Asks him about having to wrestle in the future Jesse <v Speaker 2>the body's favorite wrestler, ravaging Rick Rude, and Ron says, <v Speaker 2>you know, taking nothing away. He's a good wrestler, but <v Speaker 2>one thing's for sure. He's had Paully dangerously in his <v Speaker 2>corner and that's given him a lot of advantages. If <v Speaker 2>it's one on one in the corner, you could see <v Speaker 2>a different story. I disagree. I think Rick Rud's tremendous <v Speaker 2>and this guy's gonna have his hands full. And you <v Speaker 2>know you played football at Florida State under Bobby Boden. <v Speaker 2>Let's tell the truth. Now it's Gene Decorroth, not Bobby Boden. There. Now, <v Speaker 2>he's better, and he's my friend. He says that. He <v Speaker 2>says that all show. That's my close personal friend. He's <v Speaker 2>my friend, and he's better and I like him more. <v Speaker 2>Ron says, listen, if you were running a team, we <v Speaker 2>would have did a lot of talking and won no games. <v Speaker 2>And Jesse says he doesn't respect. Jesse is such a <v Speaker 2>shitter man. He talks shit. Ron gives him one back, <v Speaker 2>and Jesse says, yeah, well, Jim Ross, it's a good <v Speaker 2>thing I'm retired and not a movie star. He doesn't <v Speaker 2>even say it to Ron, what a fucking dick? Jr. Says, well, <v Speaker 2>you think that rude awakening can off shit the power <v Speaker 2>of this man? And Jesse says, I think the rooted <v Speaker 2>Awakening can beat anybody if he gets it the proper <v Speaker 2>way to apply it. There's nobody in w CW that's <v Speaker 2>gonna get up from it. And Ron says, let me <v Speaker 2>ask you this, Jesse. You spent much time in the streets. <v Speaker 2>Have you heard of a sidewalk slam. I can guarantee <v Speaker 2>you he'll be in for a root awakening. And Ron says, <v Speaker 2>it's you know, it's hard for me to show you <v Speaker 2>how I'll handle Rick Rude, but I'll you know, it's <v Speaker 2>hard for me to tell you, excuse me, how I'll <v Speaker 2>handle Rick Rude, But I'll show you. And he starts <v Speaker 2>on to do his time and I'm like, oh my god, <v Speaker 2>is he got a fucking gig? <v Speaker 1>Jesse, as you're to kick Jim Ross's ass? <v Speaker 2>Ah, wats just shut hm up? In the dominator A Jr. <v Speaker 2>Says I was going to show us. He's gonna show you. <v Speaker 2>He's going to show you I don't have a problem. <v Speaker 2>And Ron takes his shirt off and he is flexing <v Speaker 2>I mean, dude, this guy is massive, Like this is <v Speaker 2>crazy looking. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, he's in great shape. <v Speaker 2>And Jesse's sitting there and he looks at him and says, <v Speaker 2>looks good. Everything about this was tremendous, dude, Like, you know, <v Speaker 2>a long interview like this too. I think they said <v Speaker 2>that that's gonna be like they're gonna do a sit <v Speaker 2>down with like somebody every week. That'll be kind of <v Speaker 2>an extended interview. Again. Super I we talked about, you know, <v Speaker 2>the WF side of these shows. I loved how those were, <v Speaker 2>but this is super cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, no, I enjoyed this a lot. So Jim Ross <v Speaker 1>follows up. He says that the free Birds are going <v Speaker 1>to get a shot at the United States tag titles <v Speaker 1>against Hammerman and Taylor maiden Man in a two out <v Speaker 1>of three falls match. <v Speaker 2>The fuck is Taylor Maidman? I don't this whole show again, <v Speaker 2>it's I legit don't know who this is until the <v Speaker 2>last ten seconds of the show. I refuse to look <v Speaker 2>it up. I said, I need to know if they're <v Speaker 2>gonna show me Taylor Maideman and Trammer Valentines. I wrote <v Speaker 2>here under that who the fuck is Taylor? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so this is where I kind of caught on <v Speaker 1>they were doing two out of three falls for the <v Speaker 1>mains here. <v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah, which cool. I not a bad idea for <v Speaker 2>what you said, And it's, you know, interesting thing you <v Speaker 2>can advertise. Every week there's gonna be a two to <v Speaker 2>three falls title match. <v Speaker 1>Every week we have Catnus Jack and DDP taking on <v Speaker 1>the free Birds. I cannot believe I'm looking at Jimmy <v Speaker 1>Garvin run into this ring right now with Michael Hayes <v Speaker 1>to do the fabulous Freebirds gimmick in nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 1>This is like nuts to me. I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Jimmy Garvin is the most eighties seventies eighties man. I <v Speaker 2>may have ever laid my eyes on like. <v Speaker 1>You got imported into nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, he is dripping with just juice like he is <v Speaker 2>so skeazy. <v Speaker 1>Okay, that is the exact word I was gonna use. <v Speaker 1>He's the skeeziest man of nineteen ninety two. <v Speaker 2>But I love it. Like the big glasses, gigantic mustache <v Speaker 2>that engulf's his face. He's got this big ass hair. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>this is a skeezy, sleazy guy. That's Jimmy Jam, Dude, <v Speaker 2>Jimmy Jam of W two K eighteen fucking fame. <v Speaker 1>Holy shit. Yeah, there was the year where they had <v Speaker 1>fucking Rock and Roll in the game too. <v Speaker 2>Jimmy Garvin's in seventeen and eighteen fucking in set one <v Speaker 2>of those games. He would show up so much in <v Speaker 2>my Universe mode, like just him by himself. <v Speaker 1>Back in the eighties, they had run ins all the time, you. <v Speaker 2>Know, fucking insane in the fucking game. I mean, they <v Speaker 2>might not have done his mustache justice here. <v Speaker 1>But wow, I bet you back when that game came out, <v Speaker 1>I said, why the fuck is Jimmy Garvin in this game? <v Speaker 2>Dude? I was definitely mad and said, who the fuck <v Speaker 2>is this? <v Speaker 1>Why is that Ricochet in the game? And why the <v Speaker 1>fuck is Jimmy Arvin here? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, put Bobby Fish in the game. You fucking a <v Speaker 2>get Jimmy Garment out of this ship. Now it's a <v Speaker 2>complete opposite, dude. It is like the total fucking opposite. <v Speaker 2>I'm looking at this shit, like I'm looking at randomized <v Speaker 2>characters and I'm like, so are they gonna put in <v Speaker 2>anyone I know? Or like, what's the deal here? When <v Speaker 2>they fucking announced that Sateenitess made event Pac in the <v Speaker 2>last game. I was so fired up. I said, oh <v Speaker 2>my god, chunk yok dog, all right. <v Speaker 1>Like, that's so funny how time works like that? <v Speaker 2>Man? And just so you all know, you fucking youngsters, <v Speaker 2>it will happen to you too. <v Speaker 1>It will. Y'all like to think you're not gonna age, <v Speaker 1>and you think you're not gonna age, quickly, guess what, pal, <v Speaker 1>It's happening. <v Speaker 2>Time comes for us all, including you. <v Speaker 1>There's actually a guy in the crowd here with a <v Speaker 1>Steamboat's Gym Charlotte, North Carolina shirt, which I thought was <v Speaker 1>very cool. I don't even know if I knew that <v Speaker 1>was a thing. I think we talked about it at <v Speaker 1>some point though, where where Lex Luger had also started <v Speaker 1>a gym, and it felt like a lot of guys <v Speaker 1>in wrestling were starting their own gyms. <v Speaker 2>It's probably a good uh. I don't know if grift <v Speaker 2>is right word, but I mean, I imagine, you know, <v Speaker 2>a dude that looks big putting his name on a <v Speaker 2>gym will do some kind of good business for at <v Speaker 2>least two years. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they probably just wanted somewhere to work out, so <v Speaker 1>that I was probably I. <v Speaker 2>Have my own fucking place. <v Speaker 1>I gotta tell you, though, my expectations for this match <v Speaker 1>were way different than the match we actually got. I <v Speaker 1>I thought Jimmy Garvin was gonna get dropped twelve to <v Speaker 1>six on his head by Gott his deck. Guy gotta <v Speaker 1>be okay. <v Speaker 2>I thought Cactus was going to be way more involved, <v Speaker 2>uh with he has his shit right, but like this <v Speaker 2>is I guess I should have known when they said <v Speaker 2>that they're fucking wrestling the Taylor Made Men next week, <v Speaker 2>that this was going to be a free Bird showcase. <v Speaker 2>But with who it was, I thought, you know, Cactus <v Speaker 2>still had some stees, and you know ddp's coming up, <v Speaker 2>but this is a Freebird fucking almost like not a squash, <v Speaker 2>but it's close. <v Speaker 1>So DVP and Cactus Hot start on the Freebirds here, <v Speaker 1>but Mike Hayes fights back on DDP because he's bad man. <v Speaker 1>They didn't call a lick in this motherfucker. <v Speaker 2>Woo dude. I mean there's a couple of times where <v Speaker 2>Jimmy Garvin just kind of moving his body wherever it <v Speaker 2>can go to figure it out. <v Speaker 1>Doesn't surprise me as the free Birds, but I was like, wow, <v Speaker 1>holy shit. The Freebirds hit of a double back body <v Speaker 1>drop on DDP. He lands right on his ass. <v Speaker 2>That was like it almost made me think, wow, does <v Speaker 2>this move not exist yet? Like a double version of <v Speaker 2>this because he gets so much height and I don't <v Speaker 2>think he was able to control his landing. <v Speaker 1>Cactus slams Garving on the ground on the outside. He <v Speaker 1>goes to the apron. I'm gonna guess he's going for <v Speaker 1>the elbow here, but Michael Hayes punches him in the mouth. <v Speaker 2>Which good cutoff. <v Speaker 1>So Michael Hayes goes into an Aaron Nashal with DDP. <v Speaker 1>That ends when Michael Hayes just punches DDP right in <v Speaker 1>the mouth. <v Speaker 2>They didn't know where to go. I don't even know <v Speaker 2>who it was meant to be, Like an international. <v Speaker 1>Cat just comes in here. He hits a leg drop <v Speaker 1>on the back of Garvin's head and quickly tags out. <v Speaker 1>He said, I have had enough of this already. DDP <v Speaker 1>comes off the top, but Garvin punches him in the <v Speaker 1>stomach actually right down here. They're sort of struggling through <v Speaker 1>this one. <v Speaker 2>Mm hmm. <v Speaker 1>Right as I think that though, Michael Hayes grabs DDP <v Speaker 1>and hits the DDT to pick up the win, which <v Speaker 1>is their move with everybody saying DT. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I will say, though, I gotta I gotta complain about <v Speaker 2>one thing here, Michael Hayes. Michael Hayes did Brad Armstrong's move. <v Speaker 2>He did the Russian leg sweep. <v Speaker 1>Oh man, have some respect. <v Speaker 2>He didn't win with it because it's not his move, right. <v Speaker 2>He's not as good as it, you know, So I'll <v Speaker 2>take that. But I didn't realize that Michael Hayes was <v Speaker 2>a DDT guy. <v Speaker 1>There's another guy everybody's been saying he has been a <v Speaker 1>DDT guy. <v Speaker 2>He's doing the DDT and Scotty Flamingo's about the fucking <v Speaker 2>coming to the top spot here, like what is going on? <v Speaker 1>Jim Ross introduces a pre tape here that says the <v Speaker 1>feud between Ricky Steamboat and rick Rude has really gotten personal. <v Speaker 2>Yes, fucking escalating here. <v Speaker 1>Steamboat tried to end my fucking guy's career. <v Speaker 2>He's taking it personal. You never take it personal. Hey, <v Speaker 2>Ricky Steamboat, fuck you, you're stupid fucking gym. I hate <v Speaker 2>dragons and I hate you. <v Speaker 1>Charlotte North Carolina sucks. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, He says rick Orud hasn't done anything to Ricky <v Speaker 2>Steamboat to warrant what Steamboat's done to him, and Jerry says, well, <v Speaker 2>we'll show you what transpired and take you back to <v Speaker 2>the super Bowl too, and how Rude retained the championship <v Speaker 2>and how the Dragon gained a measure of revenge. Shall <v Speaker 2>we go back here another Tony Shavani voiceover video. Shavanni <v Speaker 2>says that many thought Steamboat would unset Rude as champion <v Speaker 2>and their feud, but the resourcefulness of the dangerous lines <v Speaker 2>and rude athletic ability prevented the Dragon from realizing his dream, <v Speaker 2>which was a super nice way to say that. Uh, <v Speaker 2>ricky Steamboat brought up There was a ninja that followed <v Speaker 2>him to the ring that ended up being Paul him <v Speaker 2>and he got hit with his cllphone. <v Speaker 1>Yes, this must be that movie that people wanted us <v Speaker 1>to watch. <v Speaker 2>Ah, Three Ninjas of course, which with everybody watching three <v Speaker 2>Name Jazz. Yeah, yeah, what the fuck no one saw <v Speaker 2>that movie. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, sorry to everybody out there and the Three Ninjas fandom. Uh, <v Speaker 1>we really did not mean to disrespect you. <v Speaker 2>That's our bow it. We didn't realize there would be <v Speaker 2>such an outrage. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I mean that movie came out a year before <v Speaker 1>I was born. Man Like, by the time I was <v Speaker 1>rocking and rolling. I was watching Power Rangers, like, no <v Speaker 1>way these guys could stand up through the big bad <v Speaker 1>beatle boards. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's what happened. Ricky, Steamboat's second Ninja Dragon partner <v Speaker 2>hit him with a cell phone. I'm assuming that had <v Speaker 2>to be one Paulie Dangerously, which could have been anybody, <v Speaker 2>Really could have been anybody with the phone. <v Speaker 1>You never know, dude, that would have been funny as <v Speaker 1>shit if you just started going around backstage and just <v Speaker 1>seemingly everyone had this phone. <v Speaker 2>The futures comes so fast, dude. <v Speaker 1>He calls out paul Leice as I know it was you, <v Speaker 1>you had the phone, And then Paulie says, well, I <v Speaker 1>actually have about ten or fifteen people here who also <v Speaker 1>have this, So why don't you guys come on down. <v Speaker 1>You could tell me which one of these guys did it. <v Speaker 2>We'll put him in a lineup and you pick out <v Speaker 2>which one hit you with this fucking phone. How about that? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>rude one. Because of this, he got the win, and <v Speaker 2>Steamboat then wanted to face any member of the Dangerous Alliance, <v Speaker 2>even though he had already had a shot lined up <v Speaker 2>at the title, and ended up fighting Arn Anderson and <v Speaker 2>Ricky Steamboat threw on into Pouli who was on the apron, <v Speaker 2>and Pauli flipped into the ring because that's how seesaws work. <v Speaker 2>Ricky Steamboat then tried to ten thirty one Polly. <v Speaker 1>And uh, he really got him up there too, Dude. <v Speaker 2>He hoisted that motherfucker. Rude tries to wrap a belt <v Speaker 2>around Steamboat's neck and hit him with the Rude Awakening, <v Speaker 2>which was cool as shit, but Steamboat flipped out of <v Speaker 2>it onto his feet and throw it throw us fucking <v Speaker 2>Rick Rude and beat the fuck out of him and <v Speaker 2>then hangmanned him with the with the belt, which is <v Speaker 2>how things have escalated here. <v Speaker 1>Classic Steamboat. I feel like I've seen this dude hangman <v Speaker 1>people all the time. <v Speaker 2>That's his Uh. He goes to a territory and everyone <v Speaker 2>gets one hangman angle with Ricky Steamboat. <v Speaker 1>So we have Rick Rude with Paul versus Dousel Dwarf. <v Speaker 2>Who the fuck is this guy? Dude? Not only did <v Speaker 2>we never get a name. I looked it up. I <v Speaker 2>can't find it. Like it's not cage match. <v Speaker 1>Didn't even have it cut the fucking music. <v Speaker 2>What I'd like to have right now is for all <v Speaker 2>you fat hey out of shape, a country bumpkin cowards. <v Speaker 2>Keep the noise down while I take my robe off <v Speaker 2>and I show you what a real sexy man is <v Speaker 2>supposed to look like. Hit my fucking music. Another two <v Speaker 2>K seventeen legend, Rick Rude. <v Speaker 1>With the injury is there is an enormous sign of <v Speaker 1>the crowd by the way, I mean it is got <v Speaker 1>so large, says Rick Rude. Lude Crude and Bude. <v Speaker 2>And Bude goes on forever too, Like this covers an <v Speaker 2>entire section this side. They really did not funk with <v Speaker 2>this guy. <v Speaker 1>So Rude just beats the hell out of this guy. <v Speaker 1>We don't know his name. He's in the all white gear. <v Speaker 1>Rud hits him with a soup plex and then squeezes <v Speaker 1>his ass cheeks. <v Speaker 2>I mean just fucking like if you want, if you're <v Speaker 2>trying to just pelvic thrust with just your ass, That's <v Speaker 2>what he did here. Like it was he was sideways <v Speaker 2>the hard camp. <v Speaker 1>So he just co popping Rude that hits the root <v Speaker 1>awakening and picks up the win. And uh he is <v Speaker 1>your United States fucking champion. <v Speaker 2>I love Rick Rude Jim Ross because he reminds me <v Speaker 2>of me. You know who else reminds me of me <v Speaker 2>Steve Austin if he looked like. <v Speaker 1>This hit my fucking music. <v Speaker 2>I mean, Rick Rude does go on to do stuff <v Speaker 2>with a fucking franchise. <v Speaker 1>And he c dubb WCW magazine segment. Eric Bischoff is <v Speaker 1>here with the magazine with Steiner Brothers on the cover. <v Speaker 2>Yes, dude, And I'm assuming these magazines had to have <v Speaker 2>been doing good business for them, because like having a <v Speaker 2>five minute dedicated segment just advertising the magazine is heavy. <v Speaker 1>Dude. Magazines were super popular, so I. <v Speaker 2>When I was going on you know, attitude er kind <v Speaker 2>of error, I was definitely getting the WWF ones. I <v Speaker 2>don't know if I ever even saw ww magazines, and <v Speaker 2>they definitely were still going in like ninety nine. Dude. <v Speaker 1>I would always go to like Food Lion or IgA <v Speaker 1>when I was young, and they would have the H <v Speaker 1>magazine section. Yeah, my mom would shop and I would <v Speaker 1>sit there. One, I'm looking for demo discs. Two of <v Speaker 1>course I'm checking out if they got anything that even <v Speaker 1>resembles something I would like. Most of the time, it <v Speaker 1>was just bullshit, and I would sit there forever and <v Speaker 1>just read through these. <v Speaker 2>Things, just try to fucking make yourself. <v Speaker 1>Yeah really, because like man, back in the day, people <v Speaker 1>used to shop longer than ever. <v Speaker 2>Oh my dude, yeah, that's I mean, well, there was <v Speaker 2>you know, there was a lot more patience back It <v Speaker 2>was fun back then, right, yeah, it was you know, <v Speaker 2>it wasn't supermarket sweep. That's how it is now. <v Speaker 1>That's how I wish my mom shop running down to <v Speaker 1>get the ham the chips. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, Bischoff goes over this whole magazine thing here <v Speaker 2>we get to. He goes over the rivalry between Sting <v Speaker 2>and the four hundred and fifty pounds Van Vader. They <v Speaker 2>re kept Sting winning the his match on WCP Worldwide <v Speaker 2>against Dusol Dwarf, and this. <v Speaker 1>Guy's get his as. <v Speaker 2>He's running the blog. Vader hit the ring with a <v Speaker 2>chair and Sting got on him, hit him with a <v Speaker 2>finger splash, hit Vader with a chair, and Vader launched <v Speaker 2>a referee into the sky. And I know that that <v Speaker 2>was awesome. Dude. Vader is so kick ass. Yeah, and uh, <v Speaker 2>Vader no sold the chair shot Sting then head up <v Speaker 2>to the top because you know, he figured he had <v Speaker 2>Vader at least reeling a little went for a cross <v Speaker 2>body Vader power slams him out of the air, splashes <v Speaker 2>him on the back. Jr. Selling this like Sting just <v Speaker 2>got killed. I love this. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, dude, I love Vader. He did so much good <v Speaker 1>work here in the early nineties. <v Speaker 2>That's I mean. I've been I've been super enjoying like <v Speaker 2>going back and watching the older stuff because again, I <v Speaker 2>only know Vader from fucking WWF. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, we've watched so much of Vader's shit <v Speaker 1>here on this show over the past seven years, Like <v Speaker 1>it's impossible not to be a huge fan of him. <v Speaker 2>He's fucking so he's like gotta be one of the <v Speaker 2>best big guys ever. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 2>So then we get to a Vader and Harley race <v Speaker 2>promo and Vader says, ah, stick stick look at us, Oh, <v Speaker 2>the next eavyweight champion. The time is now. Reality has <v Speaker 2>become the president, and the final lesson of the pain <v Speaker 2>game has begun because Vader has a PhD in pain. <v Speaker 2>World champion, ding say that world champion ding? All Right, Harley, <v Speaker 2>thank you, la la la la la. <v Speaker 1>Vader doing Matt Tremont shit, hell ya, Harley. Now that <v Speaker 1>would be a gimmick that would get super every today. <v Speaker 1>Just have a guy that sounds like boom hour and <v Speaker 1>he talks and says, whatever you look over to me, <v Speaker 1>you go, hell yeah. So you hit him on the back, <v Speaker 1>Hell yeah. <v Speaker 2>So we have a Sting promo here right after the <v Speaker 2>Vader one, and Sting says, so Vader's got a pH <v Speaker 2>d in pain? Oh? First of all, Sting, cool looking <v Speaker 2>baby face ever, looks awesome, very cool, good promo. I <v Speaker 2>love this guy, That's all I gotta say. He says, <v Speaker 2>I don't know where you went to school to learn <v Speaker 2>about pain, because I've been around here a lot longer <v Speaker 2>than you. W CW happens to be the best school <v Speaker 2>of pain. So don't tell me about pain. Just show <v Speaker 2>up and maybe I'll make you understand what pain is <v Speaker 2>all about. I loved it. I love it. <v Speaker 1>It's saying where the fuck did you get a PhD <v Speaker 1>in pain? That doesn't even make any sense. <v Speaker 2>I do what? So we go back to Bischoff with <v Speaker 2>the magazine and he says, it's you know, Tom Stink <v Speaker 2>could be lonely at the top, but there's an athlete <v Speaker 2>headed to w CW from Japan that's been watching, and <v Speaker 2>Muda would be there for Sting any time, should the <v Speaker 2>time arise. And I'm like, wow, that's a crazy way <v Speaker 2>to introduce somebody as somebody's like friend and partner. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>my boy here from Japan's been watching. He's gonna come <v Speaker 2>fucking help my voice think. <v Speaker 1>It instantly puts him in the conversation. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's it's intriguing. I was like, wow, that's like <v Speaker 2>you know, usually it's a run in. Bischall says this <v Speaker 2>just in w C to B Border directors are currently <v Speaker 2>reviewing videotape on a vicious attack on Rick Steamboat h <v Speaker 2>and the dangerous Lions on on him and on they <v Speaker 2>showed here w CB Worldwide Modusa slapped Steamboat. Steamboat slapped <v Speaker 2>her back and then immediately was upset and fucking apologizing <v Speaker 2>and saying, oh fox shit sorry. Then the dangerous lions <v Speaker 2>whooped his ass like fucking nip. Rick Rude kills him <v Speaker 2>with a chair shot here man, it is loud. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, likeby eating, I feel like I saw Bobby eating <v Speaker 1>out there. <v Speaker 2>You know what, he wasn't a dangerous allions, he probably was. <v Speaker 2>Rude then rolls Steamboat to the floor the dangerous lions <v Speaker 2>and stamp his ass out, and Rude slams him face <v Speaker 2>first into the concrete like they lifted the mats and <v Speaker 2>he smashed his head into the ground. <v Speaker 1>They beat his ass. <v Speaker 2>Steamboat like a lot of blood feeds on this guy. <v Speaker 2>This guy pissed a lot of people off. <v Speaker 1>I mean, he was such a good baby face. <v Speaker 2>Dude, like this is I I was actually super interested, <v Speaker 2>like find out. I kind of want to look up <v Speaker 2>more about this angle because it seems pretty cool. So <v Speaker 2>we're back with Bischoff and Bischoff says the war of <v Speaker 2>words continues between WW Executive Vice President ka Allan Frye <v Speaker 2>Yeah and WW wrestler DDP. DDP was barred from taking <v Speaker 2>part in any on camera interviews regarding WCW policy, but <v Speaker 2>on the last WCBY broadcast, DDP tried to unsuccessfully steal <v Speaker 2>some airtime. So this is, uh, you know this is <v Speaker 2>Meltzer said he fucking did not like this angle. <v Speaker 1>Bischoff says this just in Meltzer doesn't like this, so. <v Speaker 2>We're dropping, we're xnaying this whole angle. Oh fuck. So <v Speaker 2>two weeks ago on WCW, I'm assuming it was this <v Speaker 2>show which was just called WCW, h DDP interrupted a <v Speaker 2>Steve Austin interview which god ten years later. If DDP <v Speaker 2>does that, he's his career. I mean, Austin will run <v Speaker 2>him down for six minutes if DDP interrupted him, and <v Speaker 2>then he gets a stunner and wedgied. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean guaranteed he gets. <v Speaker 2>And then he buy an ATV and a car and <v Speaker 2>his car gets blown up as well. Very different times, <v Speaker 2>the DDP interrupts and says, I'm barred from two interviews <v Speaker 2>on the policies at ww Who does kay Alan Fry <v Speaker 2>think he is the band? DDP doesn't, doesn't He says, this, <v Speaker 2>doesn't he heard of the Constitution, the first Amendment. He's <v Speaker 2>supposed to be a lawyer. The bottom line is hold <v Speaker 2>on a second is where it didn't get his law <v Speaker 2>degree from the University of Moscow. Good God, give me <v Speaker 2>a break. I got something to say. And then he <v Speaker 2>gets interrupted by what I presume is security or some <v Speaker 2>kind of higher up that that pulls DDP off this <v Speaker 2>seat here. This is uh interesting. It's super different from <v Speaker 2>anything else on the show at least. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they should drop this. <v Speaker 2>Yeah it's weird, Like I don't you know, I've only <v Speaker 2>just seen this part, but I can't imagine what the <v Speaker 2>payoff is of DDP and vice president Fry. So Bischoff says, Kay, <v Speaker 2>Alan Fry, what further comments on this next week? That's fucking. <v Speaker 1>Oh boy, hooray. <v Speaker 2>Before we leave, this week's fan line question comes from <v Speaker 2>Shannon Barber from New York, who wants to know, Rick Rud, <v Speaker 2>you say negative things about New York, but your manager, <v Speaker 2>Paully Dangerously is from New York. How does he feel <v Speaker 2>about your comments? <v Speaker 1>And? <v Speaker 2>I thought this was like a you know, they're just <v Speaker 2>fucking having somebody right in something. No, they go to <v Speaker 2>a fucking green screen thing. Rick Rude answers this question. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was pretty interesting. <v Speaker 2>I was like, oh, this is like, what an easy <v Speaker 2>way to serve up any story you want. So Rude says, <v Speaker 2>a question I would expect from an inner city sweathog <v Speaker 2>Shannon aka New Yorkers. Well, the bottom line with Paully <v Speaker 2>is money, and as long as the money keeps rolling in, <v Speaker 2>I keep doing my thing and I continue to win. <v Speaker 2>This was I what a small thing. That was like great? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they actually have another fanline question here from uh <v Speaker 1>Neville south Hall from Maryside, England, and he asked, al, <v Speaker 1>you have been quoted a seke A good match is <v Speaker 1>the one that draws the most money by your own <v Speaker 1>body logic. Is it fair to say you haven't had <v Speaker 1>a good match in your entire career? <v Speaker 2>Oh, here's another one actually from the Horsecock Express, and <v Speaker 2>he asked how big is Jimmy Carfon's dick? <v Speaker 1>All right, so no more fucking questions. Thank you everybody. <v Speaker 2>I'll actually here. <v Speaker 1>And he's, oh, looks like Marty Jay's what them doing? <v Speaker 2>Rat? <v Speaker 1>Thank you for watching w CW magazine. <v Speaker 2>Hooray you can find on newsstands this week, James, when <v Speaker 2>you're at food, lie and whatever you want to do <v Speaker 2>that it don't talks me. <v Speaker 1>So Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura are ring side here <v Speaker 1>to introduce the featured bout of. <v Speaker 2>The evening two out of three Falls main Event, and <v Speaker 2>j R. Says it's gonna be a regular feature here. <v Speaker 2>So I don't know how long that goes on for. <v Speaker 2>I'm interested. Actually, look, maybe I'll go take a look <v Speaker 2>in a minute. But yeah, the two out of three <v Speaker 2>falls main event TV title z Man versus Stunning Steve <v Speaker 2>Austin with Paul E Dangerously. <v Speaker 1>I love the way that they came to the ring here. <v Speaker 1>Z Man comes from the hallway to the ring. Steve <v Speaker 1>Austin comes from the hallway to the ring. Steve Austin <v Speaker 1>looks awesome. Here He's got the title, he's got the robe. <v Speaker 1>Paulice just looks like the complete package. <v Speaker 2>It's crazy again, Like I mentioned at the top, Steve Austin, <v Speaker 2>here Jr's calling the match and then this is like <v Speaker 2>the this like that combination is pro wrestling to me, <v Speaker 2>but here it's so different. Austin still. I mean this <v Speaker 2>guy could have been. <v Speaker 1>A top guy too, by the way, Yeah, I think <v Speaker 1>so too. <v Speaker 2>Like this version, Yeah, like he looks par I mean <v Speaker 2>his gear is nuts, by the way, I probably changed <v Speaker 2>probably changed trunks, but uh everything else I thought it <v Speaker 2>was cool. <v Speaker 1>I love the announcer in the ring has the mike <v Speaker 1>wire just going over the top rope. <v Speaker 2>What else are we gonna do? Put under Tom Zenk <v Speaker 2>almost ran right into it, trimping, dude, trimping, breaking his <v Speaker 2>legs before two and three falls. Match would have been <v Speaker 2>fucking horrible. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. So Steve Austin takes off the robes and he's <v Speaker 1>got the most eighties, nineties, whatever era you can think <v Speaker 1>of trunks of all time. This is like what the <v Speaker 1>inside of the mall looked like when I was young. <v Speaker 2>Dude, it looks like one of those cups, the fucking yeah, <v Speaker 2>I know. <v Speaker 1>What you're talking about. Yeah, like the retro cups. <v Speaker 2>Yeah exactly. <v Speaker 1>I mean this is like, I swear to god, Taco <v Speaker 1>Bell used to have like seats that look like this. <v Speaker 2>Oh my god, I think you're right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like it just looked like that inside Taco Bell. <v Speaker 1>That was back when you can get Taco Bell for cheap. <v Speaker 1>And for some reason everything is seven dollars now. <v Speaker 2>The future looks bad. They also say there will be <v Speaker 2>a one minute reci period between falls. I thought that <v Speaker 2>that was you know that just I'm doing that. Turns <v Speaker 2>out James is right, definitely ad spot for that, which <v Speaker 2>is yeah, fucking brilliant. <v Speaker 1>We start with a lock up here, and I love <v Speaker 1>the little things that Steve Austin would do here, like <v Speaker 1>very old school type heel stuff, grabbing z Man's hair <v Speaker 1>to bring him to the rope. Yes, an immediately eating <v Speaker 1>crow when it comes time to take the shoulder tackle. <v Speaker 1>Just stuff like that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, he was, I mean he was bumping crazy for <v Speaker 2>z Man too. <v Speaker 1>Z Man starts spamming quick pins here, uh, and Ventura says, <v Speaker 1>you got to wear down your opponent more. But I <v Speaker 1>actually thought it was you know, there's two sides of <v Speaker 1>the corner that you know, like spamming pins does wear <v Speaker 1>your opponent down. Shit is hard to keep kicking out, Yeah, getting. <v Speaker 2>Up for sure. Yeah, but I did like that at <v Speaker 2>least you know, threw that in there, like because absolutely <v Speaker 2>it's funny because he throws that in. Uh when zee <v Speaker 2>Man does it immediately after Austin does a back suplex <v Speaker 2>and pins them and Jesse doesn't say shit. <v Speaker 1>Steve Austin misses with two big lines here and z <v Speaker 1>Man hits a cross body into a drop very nice. <v Speaker 2>He's a spams drop kicks as fucking z Man too, <v Speaker 2>by the. <v Speaker 1>Way, Yeah he does little Tommy zenk follows up with <v Speaker 1>one more drop kick, but Steve Austin makes a miss <v Speaker 1>and takes back over with the back elbow. Austin follows <v Speaker 1>up with a gut rich supplex, but z Man fires <v Speaker 1>back with some punches for a two count. <v Speaker 2>I like the gut runch. That was cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was something different for sure. Z Man rolls <v Speaker 1>Steve Austin up here, but Pauli distracts the ref on <v Speaker 1>the apron. Austin reverses the pin and pulls the tights <v Speaker 1>to pick up the first fall. <v Speaker 2>I mean he pulls the tights too, like he could <v Speaker 2>have fucking got a ten count on this sucker. He <v Speaker 2>had that fucking in and first falling. We we go <v Speaker 2>to commercial. When we come back, ze Man's arguing with <v Speaker 2>the ref and Paul, which leads to Austin jumping him. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I love the little water breaks they do. <v Speaker 2>To cool visual like, yeah, I go into your corner, yes, yeah, <v Speaker 2>And then fucking of course, Hayman or PAULI had the <v Speaker 2>big bottle for Austin to drink out of, like you know, <v Speaker 2>you see in a basketball game. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they should have put the Hamburger press on his head. <v Speaker 1>Oh my god, put the seat down, would be funny. <v Speaker 2>Get out of the rig. <v Speaker 1>Z Man and Austin fight on the outside here and <v Speaker 1>Austin runs z Man's shoulder into the post, and that <v Speaker 1>is where the match changes drastically. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Austin goes after that arm and shoulder the rest <v Speaker 2>of the shit. He slams against the guard rail and shit, <v Speaker 2>he's he's really giving it to him. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, he locks him in. Z Man is able to <v Speaker 1>get Austin down. He starts targeting the arm himself. They <v Speaker 1>trade back and forth over their arms for a bit. <v Speaker 2>There's a part of her during that that Jr. Jared says, fans, <v Speaker 2>I'd like to encourage you to call it a wrestling <v Speaker 2>hot line. The Ross Report has some late breaking information <v Speaker 2>on the dealings with it The Dangerous Alliance, and Jesse says, <v Speaker 2>you know, I heard about your your hotline, Jim raw <v Speaker 2>and I heard you lie through your teeth on there <v Speaker 2>is that true? Not a chance? Well, I'm gonna call it. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna call it, and I'm gonna find out. Hey, <v Speaker 2>what do you mean, not a chance? You're telling me <v Speaker 2>you never told a fib in your life. I didn't <v Speaker 2>sharee that. <v Speaker 1>Z Man is able to miss direct Steve during an <v Speaker 1>Irish whip and he hits a thees press and picks <v Speaker 1>up a quick pin here for the second fall to <v Speaker 1>make it one to one. <v Speaker 2>That's a good move. He should you know, Austin might <v Speaker 2>want to pick that one up, Jim. The fes Press <v Speaker 2>the fest Press looked good too, by the way, like <v Speaker 2>he got up there and on z Man's comeback that <v Speaker 2>you could hear only children channing z Man. It was <v Speaker 2>a super baby face moment. I loved it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely. Austin misses with a Memphis here on the ropes. <v Speaker 1>He bounces back across the ring. <v Speaker 2>Oh my god, he fucking memphis is and lends. He <v Speaker 2>finds himself in the middle. That's how far he goes. <v Speaker 2>I said, wow. <v Speaker 1>Z Man hits a stiff line here but runs his <v Speaker 1>shoulder into the buckle after Austin moves and Austin takes back. <v Speaker 2>And Austin does the salt of the earth. <v Speaker 1>Z Man fires back with a few dropkicks here, but <v Speaker 1>he runs straight into the stun gun by Austin and <v Speaker 1>Austin picks up the win. <v Speaker 2>I again, like the fucking pillman finish we saw earlier. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if you know who's helping put this <v Speaker 2>shit together, but I love how they got to this finish. <v Speaker 2>Like z Man's up. The man's up. He's firing all <v Speaker 2>cylinders and it's just one thing. He just made one <v Speaker 2>wrong move where he dropped, kicked and then went for <v Speaker 2>another thirds press. He jumped up there, Austin caught that <v Speaker 2>motherfucker stun gun. You're dead cause that is his move. <v Speaker 1>Jim Ross says that's his favorite maneuver. <v Speaker 2>I like even better signature move, favorite move. I'll take <v Speaker 2>all of these. I'll take all of these, dude. Great <v Speaker 2>finish and again, uh super they gave the time. It <v Speaker 2>was a title match. It was important. It's you know, <v Speaker 2>it's a quote unquote mid card title, right, it's not <v Speaker 2>a world title, but it's it was important that it <v Speaker 2>was the main event of this debut show, and they <v Speaker 2>gave it time. And these you know, Zman did all <v Speaker 2>his shit. He had to shine, and Austin showed he's <v Speaker 2>just smarter. You know, he maybe not better, but he <v Speaker 2>was smarter, and that fucking caught him at the end. <v Speaker 2>I'd love this finish so much. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, TV title main eventing on TV is a pretty <v Speaker 1>cool concept. <v Speaker 2>That's you would think that would be a really easy concept, dude. <v Speaker 1>I feel like every single fucking wrestling show I watched <v Speaker 1>over my time as a wrestling fan, from when it <v Speaker 1>was like being created, during the time watching TV title <v Speaker 1>never maine event and. <v Speaker 2>Why like why is it just you know, eventually just <v Speaker 2>moved to like more main eventors were on the shows <v Speaker 2>to like the TV title Yeah, maybe that's guy. I <v Speaker 2>can only assume like TV title was a like the <v Speaker 2>world champion was there, Yeah right, exactly. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura throw us to the <v Speaker 1>main event for next week Saturday Night, which is the <v Speaker 1>Free Birds versus Greg Valentine and the Tailor made Man <v Speaker 1>for the United States Tag team titles. Is that well, <v Speaker 1>we'll see here in just a minute. <v Speaker 2>Two out of three fall man event next week. And <v Speaker 2>Jesse is playing around with the sunglasses and he says, <v Speaker 2>you know what, Ross, how do you look in sunglasses? <v Speaker 2>And he puts them on them not too good and <v Speaker 2>he takes them off them. You know that's gonna be <v Speaker 2>a phenomenal match. These two teams, both veterans know what <v Speaker 2>two out of three falls is. And then we throw <v Speaker 2>it to comments from both teams. So we got a <v Speaker 2>free Bird's promo. Jimmy Garvin is the craziest looking guy ever. Man, Like, <v Speaker 2>you're telling me this guy was a womanizer looking Jimmy Garvin, <v Speaker 2>that's right, this guy is fucking crazy looking. Man. He says, yeah, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>next week, two out of three falls. Let me tell <v Speaker 2>you something, Greg Valentine and you Terry Taylor, I said, <v Speaker 2>what that's right? <v Speaker 1>Terry Taylor dressed up as Ted Dbassi. <v Speaker 2>Dude, I had like a legit. I had to pause <v Speaker 2>and like figure out what was going on because I, <v Speaker 2>for a second thought, like just a funny picture popped <v Speaker 2>up on my computer somehow of Terry Taylor dressed as <v Speaker 2>the Million Dollar Man, Like when was DBS not already <v Speaker 2>doing this? Uh? <v Speaker 1>I assume he was? <v Speaker 2>I mean maybe I I there's a chance that this <v Speaker 2>gimmick wasn't like a fresh one, right, maybe million Dollar Man, <v Speaker 2>which is kind of the most popular version of it, <v Speaker 2>but like it is one to one what the million <v Speaker 2>Dollar Man looks like? It's crazy? <v Speaker 1>And Greg Valentine looks like Triple eight. <v Speaker 2>Holy fuck, he looks like Triple h two K twenty six. <v Speaker 1>Only fuck. <v Speaker 2>It's the dude. I sent the picture of fucking Greg <v Speaker 2>Valentine and Terry Taylor in the group chat, and Maacha <v Speaker 2>sent a picture of Sean and Triple achrom two K <v Speaker 2>twenty six. I sort of got in the same exact picture, <v Speaker 2>Like shit is crazy, man, Yeah, Garvin says, the United <v Speaker 2>States titles are going to go around our waist, and <v Speaker 2>then the world titles are next. So the US tag <v Speaker 2>titles and the World tag titles are two different belts. <v Speaker 2>Then mm hmm, Okay, who the fuck has the world <v Speaker 2>won the Road Warriors or something? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, probably Steiner brothers. <v Speaker 2>Oh you know what, that's probably not a bad child <v Speaker 2>at all. <v Speaker 1>They seemingly had to do this primo a lot because <v Speaker 1>Taylor made Man was mouthing Greg Valentine's part of this <v Speaker 1>program as he was doing. <v Speaker 2>God, I'm so glad you fucking saw that. <v Speaker 1>He was probably like, please just get this right. Fuck you, <v Speaker 1>I'm the hammer, goddamn bitch, that's what you should have <v Speaker 1>said the promo. Made Man says, hey, I'm Teddy b Assi, <v Speaker 1>and Greg Valentine says, I'm the hammer bitch. <v Speaker 2>Tickets for sure? Yeah, for real, dude, these guys are <v Speaker 2>crazy looking, man, I mean I'm the. <v Speaker 1>Goddamn hammer, all right, Greg, Jesus Christ. <v Speaker 2>So Teddy BOSSI says right here. Next week, two out <v Speaker 2>of three falls free birds with the US titles. I <v Speaker 2>don't think so. The US champs don't play that, And <v Speaker 2>Greg says, two out of three falls puts us at <v Speaker 2>a disadvantage. How the hell's that? Why are you alright? <v Speaker 1>You don't like that? How about this? <v Speaker 2>No? Because no, we gotta do it again, fucking ship. <v Speaker 2>Just stick to the lines, Greg, stick. <v Speaker 1>To them a long long is this primo? <v Speaker 2>Good God, holy shit, I'll do mine again, all right, right, hey. <v Speaker 1>Now it's fucking ten seconds. <v Speaker 2>Fuck you, We've been here for thirty minutes because you <v Speaker 2>won't fucking get it right. <v Speaker 1>It's time to play the game. <v Speaker 2>It's not your jet. <v Speaker 1>It's time to play the game, allright, my fucker. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, they uh, they go back to ringside here <v Speaker 2>with JR and Jesse, and JR talks about Jesse joining <v Speaker 2>Tony Shavonni next weekend for w W Worldwide, which they're <v Speaker 2>also promoting huge, and Jesse says, well, I'm pumped up <v Speaker 2>about it, Jim Ross, because I've said it before. W <v Speaker 2>CW is the future wrestling, and you're right, you don't <v Speaker 2>look good in shades. JR. Absolutely, I enjoyed it a lot. <v Speaker 2>No, I liked it too man like it. I don't <v Speaker 2>know what the next. That was the one thing that <v Speaker 2>was also a little different. I mean they you know, <v Speaker 2>they they were talking about the next upcoming matches, but <v Speaker 2>they weren't like shilling like the tickets or the next <v Speaker 2>events as much as I thought they would as compared <v Speaker 2>to w WF in their house shows. Mmm. But uh <v Speaker 2>that's other than that. Like, I mean, it felt like <v Speaker 2>they were purposely trying to be different than than WWF, <v Speaker 2>you know, longer matches, longer promos, this, that and the other. <v Speaker 2>I I yeah, I did enjoy this show.
