<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, welcome to game Breaking News with me Jeff Grubb, <v Speaker 1>your host from GiantBomb dot com. Thank you for tuning in. <v Speaker 1>In this episode, we're gonna be talking about Switch To <v Speaker 1>pre order details leaking a little early, and Nintendo dropping <v Speaker 1>news about the Zelda movie and its release date. It's <v Speaker 1>gonna be a good one because we have more. Who's <v Speaker 1>saying on the show, everybody, Tam, how are you doing? <v Speaker 2>You know? I am awake. I am it's always ready <v Speaker 2>to talk about games. I think that should be acceptable <v Speaker 2>as a state for Friday. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean really, I think it's kind of overshooting <v Speaker 1>things even Yeah, I don't think being awake is maybe much. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>glad you're here. Though it's been a busy week. We <v Speaker 1>got some more busy weeks coming up. Gonna kind of <v Speaker 1>be maybe a little NonStop here over the next little bit, <v Speaker 1>especially as we get closer to things like Summer Game <v Speaker 1>Fest and the launch wherever that may be of the <v Speaker 1>Switch To. But I'm enjoying it. It's been it's been <v Speaker 1>fun so far. But looking forward to a weekend of <v Speaker 1>maybe taking it a little bit easy. I'm gonna I'm <v Speaker 1>gonna beat Grim Fandango this weekend, Tam, that's my big plan. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, admirable, admirable goal, yank, thank you yes on <v Speaker 2>the last chat. <v Speaker 1>Actually yeah, I've never played it before up until this point, <v Speaker 1>so this will be this will be our first time. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, I am, like I said, glad to have <v Speaker 1>you here. How have you been? You've been playing anything <v Speaker 1>fun that you could talk about? Anything along those lines? <v Speaker 2>Have I been? <v Speaker 1>So? <v Speaker 2>I've been playing, Well, I've been playing. I've been playing Kazan. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>played that on the stream earlier this week, enjoyed, which <v Speaker 2>was fun. That was a good time. Beyond that, I <v Speaker 2>am playing not as much as I want to be <v Speaker 2>because I was busy with GDC and various other things, <v Speaker 2>so I haven't been playing as many games as I <v Speaker 2>would like to. Hopefully I'll be able to spend this <v Speaker 2>weekend playing some games you know that would be fun. <v Speaker 2>I've got a few. I've got a few lined up, <v Speaker 2>some old, older, some embargoed to hell, So I'm excited <v Speaker 2>to sit down and do that. <v Speaker 1>Yep, same here. Absolutely. <v Speaker 2>My me You mini flip might arrive today. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, did you see that? I think there's a me <v Speaker 1>You many Flip V two. Now I'm so pissed. <v Speaker 2>I'm so mad. <v Speaker 1>I think that's new ones every week, but it's like <v Speaker 1>the me and Mini Flip had been there for a while. <v Speaker 1>I'm like, yeah, they're just gonna keep stick with that thing. <v Speaker 1>Apparently not nope. <v Speaker 2>V two So yeah, I saw that while this morning. <v Speaker 2>I saw it while sitting on the toilet. That retro <v Speaker 2>game called a new video with it, and I was like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>what I saw, and like, the thing is like, it's <v Speaker 2>taken my flip has I ordered it like months ago <v Speaker 2>and it's been out of stock. What other chances is <v Speaker 2>that the one that I was sent, which dispatched like <v Speaker 2>two days ago, is one of the new ones. <v Speaker 1>I guess it's not impossible, but I wonder, like, I <v Speaker 1>don't know how these companies are. Do they continue selling <v Speaker 1>the older models for long after they have the newer models, <v Speaker 1>so they get like different price tiers. I haven't been <v Speaker 1>paying that close attention. I just kind of whack out <v Speaker 1>buy something and then it shows up a few weeks later. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so it's the same price from what I can tell. <v Speaker 2>I'm just praying that they like, it's not the end <v Speaker 2>of the world. If should I get the original one. <v Speaker 1>It's gonna play all the games you want to play <v Speaker 1>on it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, exactly, And I already have like the RG I'm <v Speaker 2>a nick thingy as well, so this is more of <v Speaker 2>a nice to have as well. And it also, like <v Speaker 2>Russ says it in the retro game called Video, the <v Speaker 2>plastic key hinged type thing is part of the charm <v Speaker 2>of having an authentic kind of game by advanced sp experience. <v Speaker 2>I would like, I hope that it's not one of <v Speaker 2>the ones that breaks because I'm using it in such <v Speaker 2>a vigorous way, But otherwise it's pretty much all the same, <v Speaker 2>which is fine by me. <v Speaker 1>Yep, I am I could you keep considering getting a <v Speaker 1>more expensive one of these handhelds for some reason to <v Speaker 1>play game Cube and PS two games, But then I <v Speaker 1>just keep having to remind myself I have a Steam <v Speaker 1>Deck and that is perfectly okay for that, and I <v Speaker 1>should just be getting these smaller ones to play older, <v Speaker 1>older games more portably than the Steam deck can be <v Speaker 1>and not go insane. But I am so I keep <v Speaker 1>doing that. I'm also hoping my retro tank shows back <v Speaker 1>up this weekend. That would be nice. I sent it <v Speaker 1>in like last weekend, so it's been about a week <v Speaker 1>maybe it's a bit quick, but yeah, it broke or <v Speaker 1>showed up broken. It never worked. So I'm hoping that <v Speaker 1>the RMA gets returned here pretty quick. We'll see. I might. <v Speaker 2>I might just email the people that I bought the <v Speaker 2>me you from. I just ask which one did you <v Speaker 2>send me? Is keep Retro? <v Speaker 1>I used keep Retro keep Retro? Okay? There. They probably <v Speaker 1>have pretty good customer sup support. Honestly, if you just <v Speaker 1>say can I I mean, I don't know how much, <v Speaker 1>because I would be like a I don't know if <v Speaker 1>I want to swap it out, even if they give <v Speaker 1>me the opportunity to. But maybe if you want to <v Speaker 1>be like, hey, can I just send this back and <v Speaker 1>get the V two? <v Speaker 2>They'd probably I think if I get, I'll keep what <v Speaker 2>I get. But if I yeah, I'd. <v Speaker 1>Be the same way. Yeah. All right, let's explain what <v Speaker 1>we do here most weekdays, I, Jeff Grubb, will help <v Speaker 1>piece your gaming life back together. That includes breaking news <v Speaker 1>and maybe even some of our own original reporting. For <v Speaker 1>all these topics, I'll get the input of a bona <v Speaker 1>fide expert who will make me look smart. If you <v Speaker 1>are watching live on twitch welcome, you can always listen <v Speaker 1>to the show later on podcast feeds by searching for <v Speaker 1>game breaking news, or find the RSS on giant bomb <v Speaker 1>dot com. You can also catch the show later with <v Speaker 1>you later on YouTube. Hello YouTube that We're not going <v Speaker 1>to say the other thing for now until we can <v Speaker 1>get that process. <v Speaker 2>It's going to say you can catch the show later <v Speaker 2>on deplay. <v Speaker 1>And I was about to say, what, oh yeah, hey, <v Speaker 1>we got acquired by ten Cent and you be Soft. <v Speaker 1>That's right, We're gonna be on you play or you <v Speaker 1>be Soft connect. Now get the branding right, tam. Now <v Speaker 1>as far to say, you know that the time stamps <v Speaker 1>and all that stuff, we'll get all that stuff here <v Speaker 1>fixed soon. We have a lot to get into, so <v Speaker 1>let's start the show with Ubi Soft pumps as much <v Speaker 1>as twelve or Ubi Soft jumps It's stock price as <v Speaker 1>much as twelve percent after ten Cent invests eight into <v Speaker 1>the a new unit as a subsidiary. This is from <v Speaker 1>Johann Bodener and Alessandro Paroti at Reuters. You Be Soft <v Speaker 1>rose as much as twelve percent on Friday after it <v Speaker 1>announced plans to set up a subsidiary in which ten <v Speaker 1>Cent will invest one point sixteen billion euros as the <v Speaker 1>French video game maker seeks to recover from a week <v Speaker 1>performance in twenty twenty four. In a bid to recover <v Speaker 1>from underperformance by some of the company's main titles, the <v Speaker 1>Gimo Family, Ubisoft's founder and largest shareholder, began exploring talks <v Speaker 1>with the Chinese tech giant in September. Ubisoft, the creator <v Speaker 1>of Assassin's Creed, set on Thursday that the new unit <v Speaker 1>would be valued at around four billion euros or four <v Speaker 1>point three two billion dollars, and will bring together the <v Speaker 1>Assassin's Creed, far Krak and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six brands. <v Speaker 1>It will develop the three franchises and help Ubisoft strengthen <v Speaker 1>its its balance sheets. ICE CEO Yiuskimo said in a <v Speaker 1>statement on Thursday. Should the deal closed by the end <v Speaker 1>of twenty twenty five, the group's debt situation will become <v Speaker 1>much more comfortable. Barclay's analyst said on Friday, Ubisoft's had <v Speaker 1>growing debt for the last several quarters, hasn't been able <v Speaker 1>to service it at all. In fact, it's just continued <v Speaker 1>to grow. Ubisoft gain's financial flexibility with the cash infusion, <v Speaker 1>which equates to about two thirds of the firm's pre <v Speaker 1>announcement market capitalization. I think basically they're saying that of <v Speaker 1>that four billion dollars, Ubisoft should get about two thirds <v Speaker 1>of that in cash to make moves here and continue <v Speaker 1>making games. After climbing around twelve percent earlier in the session, <v Speaker 1>the Paris listed stock remained up eight point seven percent <v Speaker 1>at fourteen euros per share as of ten to fifty <v Speaker 1>nine GMT, for a total market capitalization of one point <v Speaker 1>eight billion euros. This operation highlights the group's significant undervaluation, <v Speaker 1>which could lead to a slimming down of the rest <v Speaker 1>of its business. Broker MidCap Partners said, Okay, so yeah, <v Speaker 1>they a new subsidiary that ten Cent owns a quarter of. <v Speaker 1>You know, our Tencent already owned a significant portion of <v Speaker 1>Ubisoft proper, so that and that is not going away. <v Speaker 1>It and this you know, subsidiary tam is like they said, <v Speaker 1>Assassin's Creed, far Cry, Tom Clancy's Rainbow six. It sounds <v Speaker 1>like this is the recent sort of like rebounding of <v Speaker 1>this strategy of doing more I'm sorry, bigger games, but <v Speaker 1>fewer of them. We've heard this from Warner Brothers and <v Speaker 1>a handful of other big corporations. Sounds like that's the <v Speaker 1>plan for Ubisoft as well. What do you think let's <v Speaker 1>start with these three franchises first, how do you think <v Speaker 1>Ubisoft approaches this? Is this just like hey, these this <v Speaker 1>is what we're working on now, and we will make <v Speaker 1>big games based on them going forward. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I suspect. So I'm kind of confused that like <v Speaker 2>spin a Cell isn't there. I guess I mean it <v Speaker 2>under Tom Clancy. This is Rainbow six, says Rainbow six, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>which is a if they just said Tom Clancy, that's <v Speaker 2>a different matter. <v Speaker 1>It doesn't even like it's not even the division. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's like specifically Rainbow six. I wonder if internally <v Speaker 2>they just use Rainbow six as an umbrella brand for <v Speaker 2>all Tom Clancy. <v Speaker 1>I don't think so. I think this is like Rainbow <v Speaker 1>six is the one that can make money as a <v Speaker 1>live service game because it has done that. <v Speaker 2>For a Siege, Right, that's the thing that they're probably <v Speaker 2>talking about, not like you know, Gooserycon or any of that. <v Speaker 1>Vegas and yes, or a Siege follow up, but yes, <v Speaker 1>Siege is the thing they're really talking about. Yah. <v Speaker 2>So it's it's yeah, So it seems like Tom Clancy's <v Speaker 2>splinter Cell is out of out of Luck. But if <v Speaker 2>not necessarily doesn't mean it's not happening. They said they <v Speaker 2>were making a remake of it. It could be the difference. <v Speaker 2>I'm not sure whether it's like now there's a subsidiary <v Speaker 2>of Ubisoft which is tied up with ten Cent for <v Speaker 2>certain franchises that ten Cent has agreed to contribute funding for. Meanwhile, <v Speaker 2>the existing Ubisoft also continues, and that's where their franchises <v Speaker 2>or games that are none of the three mentioned happen. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if that's the case, because in that case, <v Speaker 2>we could have a situation where ten cents Ubisoft ten <v Speaker 2>cents presents Ubisoft is funding Assassins, far Kray and Rainbow six, <v Speaker 2>while eve Gimo's Family Presents Ubisoft is doing the other <v Speaker 2>stuff like splinter Cell, like Prince of Persia. That can <v Speaker 2>good and evil to games never have. It's a myth. <v Speaker 2>I watched, like I said, I keep saying this, I <v Speaker 2>watched the presentation live in person for that and it <v Speaker 2>was like seeing a bad magician do a trick and <v Speaker 2>knowing exactly how it's happening. And I was like, you guys, <v Speaker 2>are this only this is only going to work on <v Speaker 2>stupid people, And I was right. Ah, but uh, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I'm not. I'm not sure what the arrangement is there. <v Speaker 2>I also don't know what the benefit is in a <v Speaker 2>meaningful like if they're making fewer games but bigger, they're <v Speaker 2>still in the same situation where they're spending a lot <v Speaker 2>of money. Now it's not just entirely their own money, <v Speaker 2>which I guess that's the appeal of it, but is <v Speaker 2>it Is it now at a state where because the split, <v Speaker 2>they will make a profit on these games, or they <v Speaker 2>will break even or whatever it may be, you know, <v Speaker 2>just to tick the box that is this is a success. <v Speaker 2>I'm still not one hundred percent how this changes. It's <v Speaker 2>unclear to me currently how this changes Ubisoft's fortunes for <v Speaker 2>the better. Because right now it's clear that this has <v Speaker 2>changed ten cents fortunes for the better. They now have <v Speaker 2>their finger in another pie. Currently, I've not seen any <v Speaker 2>immediately kind of recallable success stories coming out of ten Cents. <v Speaker 2>So it just feels like ten Cent getting you know, <v Speaker 2>entry into another part of the gaming industry where it's <v Speaker 2>being treated like this as a savior, but we've not <v Speaker 2>actually seen what the lasting impact of ten Cent getting <v Speaker 2>in everything is. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you know, the way I read it is the <v Speaker 1>way that this helps you be Soft in the immediate <v Speaker 1>term is a lot of money, and they do need <v Speaker 1>money to help with the debt and then to fund <v Speaker 1>games going forward, and that money does come from ten <v Speaker 1>Cent the other side of it. The reason that it's <v Speaker 1>difficult to see how this helps TAM is because we <v Speaker 1>look at it from what does this mean for the games? <v Speaker 1>And then you know, also importantly the people who make <v Speaker 1>the games, the people who work at ub soft and <v Speaker 1>make all this stuff happen, and that is not what <v Speaker 1>this is about. This is about helping the Gimo family <v Speaker 1>stay in charge. And that's what this is. This is <v Speaker 1>a subsidiary of the existing You Be Soft and ten <v Speaker 1>Cent can just like slice off that and be like, <v Speaker 1>if we're gonna put more money into you, we're gonna <v Speaker 1>just put money into the franchises that we believe in <v Speaker 1>and that's where that money should live. And yourself. That's <v Speaker 1>great as long as we would stay in charge. And <v Speaker 1>because it's a subsidiary, that's exactly how it's structured. The <v Speaker 1>long term, you know, the need for you Be Soft <v Speaker 1>here is still going to be having to make successful <v Speaker 1>games based on all this stuff so that that's really <v Speaker 1>where the money comes from long term. But so it <v Speaker 1>hasn't really changed all that much other than for now, <v Speaker 1>you be soft is safe. But if by that you <v Speaker 1>mean you know, they'll keep making games from very recognizable <v Speaker 1>brands here and there. If you talk about the rest <v Speaker 1>of the people working at you BE soft on stuff <v Speaker 1>like Beyond Good and Evil too, or on anything you know, <v Speaker 1>splinter sell, who the hell knows is is anyone on <v Speaker 1>any of those projects safe? I wouldn't expect so, And <v Speaker 1>that is kind of the real bummer here is there <v Speaker 1>was probably a situation where they could have sold off <v Speaker 1>Ubisoft or done some maneuver here where the Gimo family <v Speaker 1>stepped down and other people stepped in, and then investors <v Speaker 1>had a chance to be like, Okay, we didn't have <v Speaker 1>confidence in the previous regime. Someone else can come in, <v Speaker 1>the board of directors, can appoint someone new, and now <v Speaker 1>we can have a new vision here, and we can <v Speaker 1>feel good about that and also kind of take that <v Speaker 1>and be like, all right, because we're investing again, everyone <v Speaker 1>who's been working here can continue to do so for <v Speaker 1>the most part, and try to make something of all <v Speaker 1>these games that you have in the works, but that <v Speaker 1>is not how this is going to shake out, it <v Speaker 1>seems like. So it's an odd situation for sure. And <v Speaker 1>as far as like ten cents involvement, it's always worth <v Speaker 1>pointing out that, you know, ten Cents not trying to <v Speaker 1>be like we are gonna you be soft, like we're <v Speaker 1>going to appoint people from Tencent. They're going to come <v Speaker 1>and control this company. That's never really usually how they operate. <v Speaker 1>They like to be an investment company. They want to <v Speaker 1>put their money in and then one day they want <v Speaker 1>to take their money out by selling off what that <v Speaker 1>is worth or if the company gets spun out, you know, <v Speaker 1>And this gets a new sort of injection to cash <v Speaker 1>from people who can invest in the subsidiary at some <v Speaker 1>point down the road because it becomes a different company. Well, <v Speaker 1>you are, a Tencent will benefit hugely at that point. <v Speaker 1>So this is just about them continuing to invest in <v Speaker 1>the video game video game business from a distance and <v Speaker 1>then kind of standing back and letting these investments mature <v Speaker 1>over time. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. For me, I mean, I think the next big <v Speaker 2>question is like what does this do to the workforce? <v Speaker 2>And you would think that having a cash injection from <v Speaker 2>a company like Tencent would preserve the kind of existing <v Speaker 2>staffing and and you know, people won't be subjected layoffs, <v Speaker 2>but I feel like that's naive thinking. So a lot <v Speaker 2>of like my feelings on this are going to also <v Speaker 2>be dependent on what Ubisoft and Tencent does to the <v Speaker 2>workforce because it was often as a big, big footprint globally, <v Speaker 2>and I imagine that this cash injection came with some <v Speaker 2>guarantees about reducing workforce or reducing expenditure on in that regard. <v Speaker 2>So I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to <v Speaker 2>drop currently too. That is going to be really what <v Speaker 2>defines kind of like the sentiment around this. I think <v Speaker 2>people I'm not overly you know, joyous about the fact <v Speaker 2>that they spun out a subsidiary that's going to make <v Speaker 2>more Assassin's Creed games. Great, Like I that's good for <v Speaker 2>people who love Assassin's Creed and I'm glad that franchise <v Speaker 2>is the future, but it's hardly exciting for me. But <v Speaker 2>I will be kind of less kind to this. My <v Speaker 2>center would be less positive towards this if it means <v Speaker 2>like mass layoffs. <v Speaker 1>I mean, I think that's you know, that's what this <v Speaker 1>one analysts saying that the expectation is is that outside <v Speaker 1>of these three brands that are being preserved within this subsidiary, <v Speaker 1>the expectation is they will slim down everywhere else. And <v Speaker 1>that is just a euphemism for mass layoffs. I think <v Speaker 1>the rest of Ubisoft that did not actually get a <v Speaker 1>cash injection, because I think all this cash is but <v Speaker 1>meant to be spent on the subsidiary. H every like <v Speaker 1>everyone else's kind of seems to be on the chopping block. <v Speaker 1>And it's like, unless you are making something that has <v Speaker 1>a guaranteed expectation of profitability, UBI stuff doesn't. It doesn't <v Speaker 1>seem interesting. I don't think. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and is big enough that it has a bunch <v Speaker 2>of those departments in existence. They have mass such teams <v Speaker 2>that have editorial teams. <v Speaker 1>That fourteen people several years ago. I think it's grown <v Speaker 1>since then, but I remember the last time I remember <v Speaker 1>looking at the number, they have fourteen thousand people globally, <v Speaker 1>one of the biggest employers in the space via a <v Speaker 1>large margin in some ways, and then also the least <v Speaker 1>profitable in some other ways. It's been a bad mix <v Speaker 1>for quite some time. So this has been them racing <v Speaker 1>at a wall and then they got this cash, and <v Speaker 1>I think you're right like to assume this cash should <v Speaker 1>be there to help keep those people employed. Because what <v Speaker 1>is really the answer to this is not actually making <v Speaker 1>fewer but bigger games. It is timing out the market <v Speaker 1>a little bit better so that you, like, when you <v Speaker 1>do have a bunch of games, you're hitting at a <v Speaker 1>good time when like the switch to is going and <v Speaker 1>maybe there's some new consoles from Sony or Microsoft or <v Speaker 1>PC gaming is kind of flourishing again, or maybe you <v Speaker 1>have a mobile game even and it kind of comes <v Speaker 1>at a time when people like forgotten about Monopoly Go. <v Speaker 1>It's being able to time it a little bit better <v Speaker 1>and having new games that are exciting in that moment. <v Speaker 1>And the only way you can really hit the market <v Speaker 1>with that kind of timing is if you have a <v Speaker 1>lot of projects in the works and give a lot <v Speaker 1>of creative people a lot of space to make stuff. <v Speaker 1>And it's just like they're going in the opposite direction. <v Speaker 1>So this is not a long term solution. It does <v Speaker 1>not look that way to me. This is a immediate <v Speaker 1>answer to how can the Gimo family stay in charge? <v Speaker 1>And I frankly am sick of that they should not <v Speaker 1>be in charge of that company anymore. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it's people who don't want to let <v Speaker 2>go of control wealth and you know, privilege in a <v Speaker 2>lot of ways like it is. I would like I <v Speaker 2>don't think it's unfair to say Assassin's Creed has reached <v Speaker 2>market saturation in a major way and there is an <v Speaker 2>audience for it, which Shadows is showing that it's they're <v Speaker 2>there and they're willing to play the game and buy <v Speaker 2>the game. But it feels like Shadows was a Hail <v Speaker 2>Mary kind of like also kind of like a break <v Speaker 2>glass in emergency type of game, where it's like people <v Speaker 2>have been desperate to play an Assassin's Creed game in <v Speaker 2>Japan for so long. This is basically the beginning. Next <v Speaker 2>game have as much pull and as much excitement around <v Speaker 2>it as this one. I don't think so, Like I <v Speaker 2>think of the all the projects, I think Hex is <v Speaker 2>the one that I'm more intrigued by. But at the <v Speaker 2>same time, I know that the vast majority of the <v Speaker 2>broader audience isn't going to be in the same position. <v Speaker 2>There's something kind of uniquely appealing about Assassin's Creed in Japan, <v Speaker 2>and especially now when there is a increased appetite for <v Speaker 2>game set in Japan, especially one that kind of is <v Speaker 2>in that Shogun era thanks to the HBO series and <v Speaker 2>various other things. I feel like this is a good <v Speaker 2>kind of like perfect storm of things that would make <v Speaker 2>this game popular and successful, and I don't think they <v Speaker 2>can count on that for the next one. So like <v Speaker 2>the the strategy of making more Assassin's Creed games is <v Speaker 2>I don't think a sound one. It kind of is <v Speaker 2>a reflection of where I think Marvel as a movie <v Speaker 2>making businesses right now, Like they're putting out stuff it's <v Speaker 2>largely dog shit and no one cares like and I'm <v Speaker 2>a Marvel fan, like I'm a lapsed MCU fan, but <v Speaker 2>like now I'm seeing stuff about like doomsday, and I'm <v Speaker 2>just like, yeah, all right, man, I've seen all of <v Speaker 2>these people in movies many times. Like it's not that <v Speaker 2>exciting to me that they're being brought together again. For <v Speaker 2>another thing, there's hardly any excitement around anything new, like <v Speaker 2>who's the latest superhero movie that they're like, this is <v Speaker 2>a brand new superhero in our well and it's not. <v Speaker 2>It's like, oh, I thought it was gonna be in <v Speaker 2>the same movie as Iron Man. Or you know, the <v Speaker 2>Doctor Doom, Iron Man or whatever, and maybe it's just <v Speaker 2>like you don't really have any fresh ideas. You're just <v Speaker 2>kind of pushing this boulder up a hill because you know, <v Speaker 2>people have some familiarity and a fondness for it before, <v Speaker 2>and you're just hoping for the best. There's not really <v Speaker 2>any interesting risks being taken. And I think the Assassin's <v Speaker 2>Creed franchise is so far into a plan where this <v Speaker 2>you know, kind of hub system where more games are <v Speaker 2>going to be feeding into it, that it's hard to <v Speaker 2>pivot into something that's completely unique and take a risk <v Speaker 2>with it. I think Mirage is probably the closest they <v Speaker 2>got to that, and it didn't really set the world <v Speaker 2>on fire. <v Speaker 1>Yep. I think mentioning that Shadows is kind of a <v Speaker 1>benchmark for like what Assassin's Creed can do right now <v Speaker 1>is a really good point. The next one is hex <v Speaker 1>is the rumor. I think it's pretty well confirmed at <v Speaker 1>this point, which. <v Speaker 2>Is so it's got some gaming people juice behind. <v Speaker 1>It exactly, and I will always check out Clint Hockeens game, <v Speaker 1>so absolutely. The next one is supposed to be set <v Speaker 1>in the Holy Roman Empire in like the Germanic region. <v Speaker 1>I think I'm not very good at that kind of history, <v Speaker 1>but that's kind of what I recall from some early <v Speaker 1>reporting and whatever the setting, who knows. It takes so <v Speaker 1>many confluences, the confluence of elements to make these games <v Speaker 1>really pop off and find a massive audience. Maybe that <v Speaker 1>does work for a lot of people. I don't know, <v Speaker 1>but I think you're right to be like, I think <v Speaker 1>the current ceiling is what Shadows is doing. And we <v Speaker 1>had Ree Elliott on the show yesterday from media research, <v Speaker 1>and it's like, you know, it's doing really good. It's <v Speaker 1>just not the silver ball that you'd be soft needs. <v Speaker 1>And I think we all knew that would be the case. <v Speaker 1>And it's like, well, that means the next Assassin's Creed <v Speaker 1>probably isn't as well. I guess five Assassin Creed Assassin's <v Speaker 1>Creeds in a row that are as successful as Shadows <v Speaker 1>is maybe it, But that's way easier said than done. <v Speaker 1>I don't expect that to be the case. <v Speaker 2>I if I had to predict where they're gonna go, <v Speaker 2>I think they will start remaking Assassin's Creed games from <v Speaker 2>the earlier era. Like I am bracing for Assassin's Creed <v Speaker 2>to remake to happen, where it's like more modern, more <v Speaker 2>up to date, and that is what they put in <v Speaker 2>between these bigger witcher NV games where it's like those <v Speaker 2>are the ones that they hope will do like crazy numbers, <v Speaker 2>and they spend a lot of time on, whereas the <v Speaker 2>stuff in between, whatever support studios remain or whoever it <v Speaker 2>may be. I think the next I don't think it's <v Speaker 2>going to be too far or I don't think it's <v Speaker 2>too far fetched to think that there's going to be <v Speaker 2>a modern engine remake of Assassin's Creed too, Brotherhood and Revelations. <v Speaker 1>Maybe Yep, all right, let's move along. Nintendo's Legend of <v Speaker 1>Zelda movie gets a twenty twenty seven release date. This <v Speaker 1>is Sir Michael mcwerder at Polygon. The live action Legend <v Speaker 1>of Zelda Movie will be released worldwide on March twenty sixth, <v Speaker 1>twenty twenty seven. Nintendo announced Friday, how to Nintendo reveal <v Speaker 1>the date through its new smart device app, Nintendo Today, <v Speaker 1>which is not a website. It's just an app you <v Speaker 1>have to download to get a little tidbit of information <v Speaker 1>that I actually got first on social media because someone <v Speaker 1>else just reposted it. Nintendo's weird. I guess we could <v Speaker 1>talk about that as well, but. <v Speaker 2>What are you doing? Dog? <v Speaker 1>Like? <v Speaker 2>What is this? <v Speaker 1>I mean here, we know why they're doing it. Like, <v Speaker 1>it's very clear to me that they saw a toxic <v Speaker 1>Nazi billionaire buy a social med the platform that they <v Speaker 1>used most frequently to reach out to people, and Nintendo's like, well, <v Speaker 1>we don't like that. I don't care for that at all, <v Speaker 1>is what I think Doug Bowser said. And then they're like, Okay, well, <v Speaker 1>how can we avoid this situation in the future. But <v Speaker 1>then the next thing is make our own app. I <v Speaker 1>still think that's crazy, even if I understand how they <v Speaker 1>got themselves there. Just make a website. Why is this <v Speaker 1>not a website? I don't understand the Internet. Internet is <v Speaker 1>still there. Can't it just be a website? <v Speaker 2>I guess it can be, but they want to do. <v Speaker 2>Websites don't traditionally come with notifications, right they don't. They <v Speaker 2>won't ping anyone be like. <v Speaker 1>Hey, they can, but you're right everyone says no to those. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I mean, listen, it can be an app as well. <v Speaker 1>It can be, but also a website. I mean just websites. <v Speaker 2>I think, like I didn't think about the whole being <v Speaker 2>a response to the worst game of Biggest Gooner owning. Yes, <v Speaker 2>social platform. <v Speaker 1>Intendo love Twitter, I think. And then he's like, we <v Speaker 1>need to establish a month for you to to post <v Speaker 1>clips that make our website popular, and Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>Like, if you're gonna, if you're gonna do that. As <v Speaker 2>a response, make a full like, go all in, make <v Speaker 2>an actual social network like bring back me Verse? Do it? <v Speaker 1>Do it? You mean? Yeah? Or on year? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? Exactly? On year? Like, do do go hand with it? <v Speaker 2>Don't just give me another website, fake website and an <v Speaker 2>app like, give me a social network, even if it's bad, <v Speaker 2>I'll take that over. Just a annoying app that just <v Speaker 2>tells you, hey, I know you've seen this literally everywhere else, <v Speaker 2>but there's gonna be a Zelda movie in two years <v Speaker 2>or whatever. Do do the dumb thing you've Toma Duchy <v Speaker 2>life is back, you know, Metro is back, bring back <v Speaker 2>Street Pass, bring back me vers properly on on phones <v Speaker 2>and just you know, let us yeah and on year. <v Speaker 1>Okay, I listen. I'm a Nintendo fan boy from when <v Speaker 1>I was from when I was young, but someone something <v Speaker 1>needs to be done about us tam. I opened up <v Speaker 1>Google Play on my for a device to install Nintendo <v Speaker 1>Today exclamation point, and it has a four point seven <v Speaker 1>star out of five rating on the store. Like, who <v Speaker 1>is just like so enthusiastic that they're giving us thing <v Speaker 1>five stars. <v Speaker 2>I opened it. It's just the date. <v Speaker 1>It's yeah, it's a calendar where it was occasionally you <v Speaker 1>get news. <v Speaker 2>This is this is terrible Nintendo d right, five days <v Speaker 2>to go. Like, imagine opening this and just seeing the <v Speaker 2>same shit day off today and being like, I guess <v Speaker 2>there's no Nintendo news today. <v Speaker 1>I got to sign it to my Nintendo account. <v Speaker 2>Oh no, I think that's pretty stick. That's a that's <v Speaker 2>a good sign. <v Speaker 1>I mean, Sam, I'll look at pictures of Samus all <v Speaker 1>day long. I don't even worry about that. <v Speaker 2>Even off of. <v Speaker 1>That, of course, exactly, I have websites for that, all right. <v Speaker 1>Zelda March twenty seven. We still don't know much about this. <v Speaker 1>We've not heard much about We know the director is <v Speaker 1>still west Ball, who was the director of May's Runner <v Speaker 1>and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, which was <v Speaker 1>pretty okay, pretty good, is my understanding. I still haven't <v Speaker 1>seen it. I don't think it's just good. Extremely Okay, <v Speaker 1>yes it's not as good as the No director of <v Speaker 1>The Batman, what's his name? <v Speaker 2>It's not the Matt Reeves Matt. <v Speaker 1>Thank you Matt Reeves, which which I think are fantastic. <v Speaker 1>I love the planet. But okay, that's what we know <v Speaker 1>about this. And now we have a date, which is <v Speaker 1>how Hollywood works, like we get dates from movies pretty <v Speaker 1>early on before we get a lot of other information. <v Speaker 1>Does hearing this date make you think that this movie <v Speaker 1>is somehow more real because I'm still struggling with it. <v Speaker 2>No, I know all until I see a trailer. Even <v Speaker 2>then I'm gonna be letting. But until I see a trailer, <v Speaker 2>this thing doesn't exist to me. Well, so I don't. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why people want this, Like is Link <v Speaker 2>gonna talk in this? Because I really don't want Link <v Speaker 2>to talk? He's gonna I don't want Yeah, he's I <v Speaker 2>don't like that man. I just don't want to hear <v Speaker 2>him chatting away, Like I think he just needs to <v Speaker 2>look stare at people and be like huh and then <v Speaker 2>just do what they tell them. <v Speaker 1>I really want it to happen, just because it continues <v Speaker 1>to be funny and funny to me, that Sony is <v Speaker 1>making Zelda, and. <v Speaker 2>That's why I want that pretty funny. <v Speaker 1>I want this Sony made Zelda thing to come out. <v Speaker 1>And that's kind of where I'm at with it. That's <v Speaker 1>all I'm really excited about in this moment. I listen, <v Speaker 1>there's a chance this is good. I think it's a <v Speaker 1>slim chance, but you're right that I think it's gonna <v Speaker 1>be weird when Link talks. But people have wanted Link <v Speaker 1>to talk in the games for a long time. I'm <v Speaker 1>not one of those. <v Speaker 2>People who are these people. I know, what do you <v Speaker 2>think Link has interesting to say? You're gonna say something <v Speaker 2>that dude has one brain cell knocking about and it's <v Speaker 2>entirely focused on swinging sword. That is it. That's all <v Speaker 2>he can He's got nothing of interesting. <v Speaker 1>When he makes his sound like he actually stops breathing <v Speaker 1>because he can't. <v Speaker 2>Do him dying, He's momentarily dying because his brain cell <v Speaker 2>wasn't focused entirely on key body alive for a second. <v Speaker 2>Like that is it. I just don't think Link has <v Speaker 2>got anything interesting to say. Like the best we'll get <v Speaker 2>is him just going like okay and then like running <v Speaker 2>off and doing this thing that he's told him. It's <v Speaker 2>like he's also he's a chump. Isn't a world of <v Speaker 2>like divine beings and shit like that? You think it's <v Speaker 2>just gonna be like you think he's got something to say. No, <v Speaker 2>he's got nothing to say. He wants he wants to <v Speaker 2>he wants to get in bed with Princess Zelda, and <v Speaker 2>he's entirely focused on doing whatever it takes on that, <v Speaker 2>so he ain't saying anything interesting. Although I think it <v Speaker 2>would be funny if they did make him talk and <v Speaker 2>they just used Mario voice from the Mario movies. <v Speaker 1>Sure he actually again, this one's actually Charles Martine, Like yeah, <v Speaker 1>they like he wasn't able to voice Mario and he <v Speaker 1>doesn't voice mar anymore because now he's voicing Link in <v Speaker 1>the movie. <v Speaker 2>I just it's gonna end up being full on will <v Speaker 2>excuse me, Princess and she just I hate it? Yep, <v Speaker 2>Oh I kind of love that. <v Speaker 1>I I mean, I think they'll probably do like one <v Speaker 1>reference to the cartoon. He probably will be like excuse me, <v Speaker 1>Princess at one point, and it's like okay, as long <v Speaker 1>as the whole attitude is in that way, because that <v Speaker 1>would be too much snark these days. But I don't whatever. <v Speaker 1>This movie's gonna come out, and if it's bad, I <v Speaker 1>will forget about it. Like that's it'll be completely fine. <v Speaker 2>It's gonna be a Zelda movie. I think that's what <v Speaker 2>it's gonna be. Like, it's gonna be Zelda, right, the <v Speaker 2>movie not Linked. I think Link is gonna get like, <v Speaker 2>not as much. I think when that movie is done, <v Speaker 2>if it comes out, people are gonna be like, wow, <v Speaker 2>Chike is so cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're right. And then is there also? Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Link is there also? But we know the real real <v Speaker 2>work is being done by Zelda in disguise, which is <v Speaker 2>that great. I'll take that. <v Speaker 1>Let's hit these other Nintendo stories, then we'll take a break. <v Speaker 1>Switch to his mysterious Sea button confirmed in Nintendo Today <v Speaker 1>app promo weet getting lots of news from Nintendo Today. Damn. <v Speaker 1>This is from Chris calling at BGC. But basically the <v Speaker 1>story is they had an unedited image of the switch <v Speaker 1>to joy Con in Nintendo Today as part of like <v Speaker 1>the promo imagery when you first opened it up and <v Speaker 1>it showed the right joy con and that button that <v Speaker 1>was blank in the first reveal of the Switch to <v Speaker 1>now says has the letter C on it, which we <v Speaker 1>had known about from from rumors and leaks elsewhere. We <v Speaker 1>still don't know what it does. So this is just <v Speaker 1>a button, says see Tam, I don't know what we <v Speaker 1>do with that. We're gonna find out what the bud <v Speaker 1>does next week. All right, What does it do? <v Speaker 2>When you press it? It launches the Nintendo Today app? <v Speaker 1>Hey, honestly, the Nintendo Today app on the switch itself. <v Speaker 1>That'd be cool. That doesn't that's that doesn't work right now. <v Speaker 1>That's not a thing. <v Speaker 2>Why would that be cool? Jeff Grubb explain to me <v Speaker 2>why it would be cool? <v Speaker 1>Okay, I don't have an answer to that. <v Speaker 2>It's not cool. But is this okay? <v Speaker 1>Launch the But they do have like that news thing <v Speaker 1>on the switch right now when you like load it <v Speaker 1>up or whatever, and sometimes they'll give you a tidbit. <v Speaker 1>It's like, why is the Zelda movie thing not in there? <v Speaker 1>I guess because more people have phones than switches, but <v Speaker 1>not by a lot. I don't know. <v Speaker 2>It's gonna be something insane. It's going to be like, <v Speaker 2>this is the clothes button. This will help you close <v Speaker 2>apps quicker, and why did you do this? That's insane? <v Speaker 2>I think it's going to do closing my game while <v Speaker 2>I'm playing it. <v Speaker 1>I think it's going to like open up a suite <v Speaker 1>of like community tools and uh, or maybe it's like <v Speaker 1>a creativity suite. Like you press that button and it's like, okay, <v Speaker 1>you open this up, and it'll you can get a clip, <v Speaker 1>you can get a screenshot. But also it activates the <v Speaker 1>mouse functionality, so you can go and like mark these <v Speaker 1>things up if you want, and draw some stuff on <v Speaker 1>these on these images, or edit your clips very quickly. <v Speaker 1>With the Nintendo Filmmaker Pro app that we're building into <v Speaker 1>the thing, I think they'll do a bunch of bullshit <v Speaker 1>like that. No, I know it's gonna be too. <v Speaker 2>Much, but I don't want to know. I don't need <v Speaker 2>Nintendo fans to have a video editing suite that is <v Speaker 2>only available to them on the switch, which means you <v Speaker 2>will be seeing videos from Nintendo fans on your switch. <v Speaker 2>I don't want that. Okay, the best Nintendo fans if <v Speaker 2>with video editing like capabilities and access or on YouTube <v Speaker 2>making awesome stuff. When you put them on an actual <v Speaker 2>Nintendo platform, they just do the dumbest, most awful, annoying <v Speaker 2>ship possible like hair is a splatoon, but it's like <v Speaker 2>poverty in a liquid that we're not going to talk about. <v Speaker 1>Sure fluid, great, yep. I did prefer social media when <v Speaker 1>you could just share video from the Switch directly to <v Speaker 1>Twitter or whatever. That was all right. There was a <v Speaker 1>lot of good clips of Breath of the Wild, but <v Speaker 1>I don't know where these things go now. <v Speaker 2>I enjoyed it when it was like restricted to the <v Speaker 2>Switch itself where you'd open or the Nintendo platform you'd <v Speaker 2>open the the we meversus and behind the craziest. <v Speaker 1>Like trying love me Versus. I hate the day that <v Speaker 1>they got rid of that. They should bring back Me Verse. <v Speaker 2>It was essentially a building that had been filled with clowns. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>and every time you went in there, a clown had <v Speaker 2>come up with some other ridiculous thing to try and <v Speaker 2>make someone else laugh. Right, That's how I like my platforms. <v Speaker 1>You walk in the door of of the Me Verse <v Speaker 1>and there are a bunch of robot hands come out <v Speaker 1>and apply the clown makeup to you as well. You've <v Speaker 1>become a clown when you enter me Verse. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then you walk around a corner and it's <v Speaker 2>just like a picture of Samus taking a shit. <v Speaker 1>Or a kid talking about the troubles in his home, <v Speaker 1>and I'm like, I kind of get why Nintendo doesn't <v Speaker 1>want to. <v Speaker 2>Like now, and then the messages I haven't been fed <v Speaker 2>in two years, and You're like, well, what's going on? <v Speaker 1>Nintendo may have given away a clue about how some <v Speaker 1>switch To games will work. This is from jfan at GameSpot. <v Speaker 1>Jason Finelli shout out. The most recent Nintendo Direct presentation <v Speaker 1>introduced virtual game cards, or the ability to share digital <v Speaker 1>games between multiple Nintendo Switch consoles in one household or <v Speaker 1>under one family account. However, the official official website explaining <v Speaker 1>the concept makes an interesting reference in the fine print <v Speaker 1>that may shed light on how the company will define <v Speaker 1>enhanced Switch one games going forward. Hidden among the asterisks <v Speaker 1>on the bottom of the page, the website refers to <v Speaker 1>here to four unannounced term called Nintendo Switch To Edition games. Specifically, <v Speaker 1>the site reads and Nintendo switch to exclusive games and <v Speaker 1>Nintendo switch To Addition games emphasis added can only be <v Speaker 1>loaded on a Nintendo Switch to system. The capitalization of <v Speaker 1>addition in the phrase is what's interesting when Nintendo has <v Speaker 1>mentioned that the switch to will be backward compatible with switch, <v Speaker 1>so select to switch one games. The company hasn't elaborated <v Speaker 1>further on how that will work. This new phrase and <v Speaker 1>the way it's presented on the official Nintendo website implies <v Speaker 1>that it is an official term to distinguish between switch <v Speaker 1>to only games and switch to versions of other games. <v Speaker 1>So switch one games that gets some sort of update <v Speaker 1>to run better on switch to that is bespoke and <v Speaker 1>different from just running the game in backward compatibility mode. <v Speaker 1>This is something we see on stuff like PlayStation right <v Speaker 1>TAM where every time I go to install a game, <v Speaker 1>it feels like every time it's like, do you want <v Speaker 1>the PS five version or the PS four version? Thankfully <v Speaker 1>it always defaults to the PS five version. Now it <v Speaker 1>didn't for a while there. Whatever they figured that out. <v Speaker 1>I'm complaining about something that's been fixed on I'm doing that, <v Speaker 1>and but we've seen this. This is a solution to <v Speaker 1>a problem that is created by having robust backward compatibility. <v Speaker 1>The assumption here is there's gonna be switched one games <v Speaker 1>that get switched to exclusive updates by just plugging in <v Speaker 1>the switch one game. And I think this is kind <v Speaker 1>of what we're expecting. I think we still don't fully <v Speaker 1>know how this is gonna play out. <v Speaker 2>Though, right, No, it's kind of I mean that would <v Speaker 2>make sense. I don't expect that is exactly how it's <v Speaker 2>gonna be because it's far too simple a solution and <v Speaker 2>Nintendo loves to slightly over complicate things. But I think <v Speaker 2>it's really fascinating that it's like select switch games will <v Speaker 2>run on on the switch to, which again could be <v Speaker 2>what you're saying, where it's like select switch one games, <v Speaker 2>we'll have a switch to upgrade. That's why pope it <v Speaker 2>is and what I'm treating itself. But it could be <v Speaker 2>a situation where it's like, oh no, we have to <v Speaker 2>something in the tech has changed and we have to <v Speaker 2>manually go in and create a emulation environment for switch one, <v Speaker 2>like the Xbox had to do for Xbox three sixty <v Speaker 2>games for a really long time. Like, if that's the case, <v Speaker 2>it's going to be wild and weird. But I think <v Speaker 2>you're right and that it's just they're gonna be like <v Speaker 2>and I get I bet you they charge for it <v Speaker 2>as well. It'll be like ten dollars for the. <v Speaker 1>Other I think there's yes, we don't know, but there's <v Speaker 1>I think you're right that that is a likely scenario <v Speaker 1>here that we come out of this on next Tuesday, <v Speaker 1>I think it is, and we find out what's going <v Speaker 1>with the switch to, and that direct ends with them <v Speaker 1>giving us all a bunch of details about this kind <v Speaker 1>of stuff. It says, Hey, something like Breath of the <v Speaker 1>Wild is gonna be a lot better on switch to <v Speaker 1>if you have the original game, though, you can update <v Speaker 1>that for ten dollars. I mean, so he does that <v Speaker 1>for a lot of games. Nintendo likes money, They're gonna <v Speaker 1>want to do that too. <v Speaker 2>I wouldn't be I wouldn't be mad if they were, like, <v Speaker 2>if you want to update this game, just this game <v Speaker 2>individually paid a ten dollars or whatever, but if you <v Speaker 2>have a Nintendo Online Switch Online subscription subscription in this category, <v Speaker 2>you'll get that upgrade for free. That is, I'll take that, <v Speaker 2>but h I doubt I do that. <v Speaker 1>I think, you know, for backward compatibility for Switch one <v Speaker 1>games running the Switch one edition on switch to, if <v Speaker 1>that's how it gets referred to as I think that <v Speaker 1>there will be a handful of games that do have <v Speaker 1>maybe more than a handful that see improvements running on <v Speaker 1>switch To, but that a lot of that depends on <v Speaker 1>how the technology actually works, because this is, you know, <v Speaker 1>for as much as this is a switch to and <v Speaker 1>it just looks like a switch again, the innards are <v Speaker 1>different enough that it wasn't I bet it wasn't a <v Speaker 1>simple process to get backward compatibility working on here. So <v Speaker 1>it's not like this is just a more powerful Switch one. <v Speaker 1>It is a new system that has a backward compatibility <v Speaker 1>layer that enables Switch one games to run. Now, Nvidia <v Speaker 1>probably did a lot of that work, and in that <v Speaker 1>process likely had features to like be like, hey, if <v Speaker 1>a game has an unlocked frame rate, we're going to <v Speaker 1>give it as much juice as we can possibly give it, <v Speaker 1>and maybe it's going to run way better than it <v Speaker 1>did on Switch one. That's possible, but we just don't <v Speaker 1>know yet, so we can get our hopes up. I <v Speaker 1>am getting my hopes up a little bit that a <v Speaker 1>lot of these things will make some Switch one games <v Speaker 1>run better than ever. But I'm not expecting the world either. <v Speaker 2>We switched one games, are you excited to have running <v Speaker 2>better than ever so you can play? <v Speaker 1>I mean, really, it is the ones that come to <v Speaker 1>mind are the Zelda games. You know, those are the <v Speaker 1>ones that have the performance issues, you know, and they <v Speaker 1>weren't they didn't kill anything for me. I will very <v Speaker 1>much like to see Breath of the Wild running at <v Speaker 1>sixty frames per second just on Nintendo hardware. Yeah, but <v Speaker 1>it's uh. And then Tiers of the Kingdom as well, <v Speaker 1>which did I think you know overall run more smoothly, <v Speaker 1>but it was thirty frames per second. I'd like to <v Speaker 1>see sixty frames per second. So yeah, I'll be honest, <v Speaker 1>a lot of other Nintendo first party games, we're a <v Speaker 1>lot of more like seven to twenty p and sixty <v Speaker 1>frames per second. I guess seeing them at a higher <v Speaker 1>resolution would be cool, but I don't really care about <v Speaker 1>that all that. <v Speaker 2>Haven't they haven't outright confirmed to what Metroid is coming <v Speaker 2>out on right, like they just said it's coming. <v Speaker 1>The Metric Prime four is diffinitely coming to Switch one. <v Speaker 2>Like that's one of them as well, with like this <v Speaker 2>is gonna be much better on Switch too. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, seeing Play Chronicles X also has that like just <v Speaker 1>that mode that people discovered where it can run at <v Speaker 1>sixty frames per second. It doesn't doesn't work very well <v Speaker 1>on Switch one when people tried to enable it, but <v Speaker 1>maybe it works better on Switch too. And that's a <v Speaker 1>game that just came out, so they would know how <v Speaker 1>to take advantage of the switch to. All that is speculation, <v Speaker 1>but I think it's safe speculation because if you're making <v Speaker 1>games that you're selling this year and you know switch <v Speaker 1>To is coming a few months later, you probably do <v Speaker 1>try to make sure it can be ready so people <v Speaker 1>can buy for a switch to and take advantage of that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, because I watched that Metro tread and I was like, <v Speaker 2>I'm not sure about that one. I'm not sure if <v Speaker 2>there's running on the device I have in my hand <v Speaker 2>to hit. <v Speaker 1>Oh sure, okay, yes, yeah, I you know Metro Prime <v Speaker 1>one remaster. It's probably it's using the same tech as that, <v Speaker 1>And that looks really good and ran at sixty frames <v Speaker 1>per second. But I get I get it. You know, <v Speaker 1>that's definitely not an open world game. It's like they <v Speaker 1>can build the rooms to be confined at how they need. <v Speaker 1>But you're right. I think I'm still surprised at how <v Speaker 1>good that looked personally. And then I saw some bad <v Speaker 1>takes about Metrod out there, and people should just be quiet, <v Speaker 1>I think saying about Metrod there, uh there, here's one. <v Speaker 1>I can't remember the exact wording, but Mike read it <v Speaker 1>to me from reset era where someone's like the enemies <v Speaker 1>in the Metric Prime for trailer weren't stoic enough. I <v Speaker 1>just can't take this game seriously in a post Dark <v Speaker 1>Souls world, and I'm yeah that, yes, I I've kind <v Speaker 1>of went. I'm like, I need to go what if <v Speaker 1>I need to go start a flame war. I need <v Speaker 1>to get back on the message boards. I got to <v Speaker 1>go back to the old me and saying about these <v Speaker 1>goddamn nerds as. <v Speaker 2>A note it Dark Souls fan, I would just like <v Speaker 2>to say, what the fuck are you talking about? Talking? <v Speaker 2>What did you say? That's insane, maybe the dumbest thing <v Speaker 2>I've ever heard in a long time. And it is <v Speaker 2>anything that if there's if you need a case made <v Speaker 2>for thing of Rise, that is it talking about it? Dude? <v Speaker 2>Like those are the woods? Those are definitely woods put together. <v Speaker 2>They didn't say anything, No, yeah. <v Speaker 1>It's nothing, and but you know they thought they were cooking, <v Speaker 1>you know, they thought they were fuing, just dropping. <v Speaker 2>I woke up this morning and opened my Wood of <v Speaker 2>the Day app and it gave me the words stoic. <v Speaker 2>So I'm gonna I'm gonna make this work. And this <v Speaker 2>is like a dog what you China about Home Boy. <v Speaker 1>I'll read the exact quote. We're gonna be mad about it, <v Speaker 1>we might as well be accurately and not crazy about it. <v Speaker 1>There's a lack of elegance and stoicism and the enemies <v Speaker 1>that makes the game feel off to me. It's very <v Speaker 1>hard to take it seriously in a post Dark Souls world. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that's it's like copy pasta. It's embarrassing. <v Speaker 2>There's no way that's not bait. That is Can you <v Speaker 2>say that again one more time? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? Yeah, let me get it right here, all right here, <v Speaker 1>it is uh, not crazy about it. There's a lack <v Speaker 1>of elegance and stoicism in the enemies that makes the <v Speaker 1>game feel off to me. It's very hard to take <v Speaker 1>it seriously in a post Dark Soul's world. <v Speaker 2>Okay, so every time damn what what part of Dark <v Speaker 2>Cell's enemies exude elegance? Yeah, because I mean I have <v Speaker 2>played those games many times. Those are mindless, emaciated zombie <v Speaker 2>like creatures that literally they just thrash with their swords <v Speaker 2>in their hands. <v Speaker 1>Out enemies, which is what is whates like. <v Speaker 2>There's very few enemies in the Dark Soul's universe or <v Speaker 2>the from software universe that I would describe as elegant, <v Speaker 2>maybe like the Dancer of the Boreal Valley from three <v Speaker 2>or Lady Maria or something. Most of the Dark Cells <v Speaker 2>enemies are like slobbering gross other worldly ship that is <v Speaker 2>like falling over each other, and they're hairy and sweaty, <v Speaker 2>covered in blood and they's just like manic monsters. And <v Speaker 2>this dude is looking at and going, that's elegance, baby, <v Speaker 2>I need In. <v Speaker 1>My Metroid Prime, there was there was there was one <v Speaker 1>other take where then Mike was finally and just sharing <v Speaker 1>them all with me, and I was begging him to stop, <v Speaker 1>but he didn't. Another one's like, why would anyone play <v Speaker 1>this in a world with like Doom twenty sixteen. I'm <v Speaker 1>just like you, damn children, this is not a shooter, <v Speaker 1>It's a metro. <v Speaker 2>I'll say right if you if you are, if you <v Speaker 2>read this comment and you go, I want to see <v Speaker 2>what the what this elegance is, and then you stick <v Speaker 2>on Dark Souls for the first time. The first major <v Speaker 2>enemy you fight is a giant fat bat thing that <v Speaker 2>jumps in the air and tries to butt stomp you, <v Speaker 2>and it's like, you know, and the stiffness has got <v Speaker 2>any Little Black Peen on show as well. I think, well, <v Speaker 2>how is that elegant? <v Speaker 1>It darksos like it has a stiffness to it that <v Speaker 1>is part of the gameplay and part of the mechanics <v Speaker 1>that makes it fun to play for me. But I <v Speaker 1>would not describe that as elegant. Maybe that's the stoicism. <v Speaker 1>I don't God damn. <v Speaker 2>Now, all right, this person is out there, guaranteed, making <v Speaker 2>explicit art of the asylum deal, just mating with him <v Speaker 2>and like he's doing growth only fans dark souls pornography guaranteed. <v Speaker 1>All right, Well, it's a late break, but we're doing <v Speaker 1>it any now, let's take a quick break. We'll come <v Speaker 1>back and we'll get through the rest of the headlines <v Speaker 1>right after this. We're back, and as promised, here's the <v Speaker 1>rest of the headlines. EU introduces requirements for clearer pricing <v Speaker 1>of virtual currencies. This is from Marcus Person at Game Reactor. <v Speaker 1>The EU Consumer Protection Network has issued new guidelines on <v Speaker 1>the handling of virtual currencies and games, which will require <v Speaker 1>a clearer transparency to protect consumers. These guidelines require that <v Speaker 1>games offering the purchase of virtual currencies with real money <v Speaker 1>also display the actual price whether it's impounds, euro corona, <v Speaker 1>or another currency. The initiative follows a review of the <v Speaker 1>game's Star Stable Online, which found that the game encourages <v Speaker 1>children to make purchases with real money organizations. Organizations such <v Speaker 1>as the Swedish Consumers Association argue that many popular games <v Speaker 1>such as Roadblocks, Fortnite, and FIFA do not meet these <v Speaker 1>new requirements and may need to change their business models. <v Speaker 1>This is like old school obfuscation to encourage people to <v Speaker 1>spend more money in a game so they don't think <v Speaker 1>about the direct relation between what they're doing and the <v Speaker 1>price that it's costing them. You know. Already, like people <v Speaker 1>have a disconnect from spending money online or like with <v Speaker 1>a credit card as opposed to spending cash. So that's <v Speaker 1>like one layer, and then all these games are like, <v Speaker 1>let's go another layer deep and make you buy currency, <v Speaker 1>and then the currency can be called something else, so <v Speaker 1>you don't relate it directly to the money that you own. <v Speaker 1>And also, once it's in our system, it's in our system, <v Speaker 1>and even if you don't spend it on something, we <v Speaker 1>have it. We've captured the value and we've given you <v Speaker 1>fake value in return. It's always been like obvious that <v Speaker 1>this should just be put the real dollar amount next <v Speaker 1>to all this stuff. We don't need your Microsoft points, <v Speaker 1>get out of here with that. Just tell us how <v Speaker 1>much money this stuff actually costs. No more twelve hundred <v Speaker 1>points is actually ten dollars or anything like that, or <v Speaker 1>so you feel like you're getting twelve Oh I'm getting <v Speaker 1>twelve hundred points. It's like, no, that's actually ten dollars. <v Speaker 1>It's frustrating and they need to do something about it, <v Speaker 1>and I'm glad that someone is. It's Europe as usual. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Europe. I think it's going to have a noticeable impact. <v Speaker 2>Considering FIFA and the EA sports games, the popularity of <v Speaker 2>sports games out there and stuff like Ultimate Team, that's <v Speaker 2>been a kind of fertile ground to confuse and bamboos <v Speaker 2>or consumers so that they're spending money in ways that <v Speaker 2>are like desensitizing them to the value of that stuff. <v Speaker 2>And I feel like it's going to have a good <v Speaker 2>impact for that, I think, I hope, And it needs <v Speaker 2>to be there because some of that stuff is like <v Speaker 2>very predatory, especially in the EA EA realms when it <v Speaker 2>comes to sports. I think two K has some as well, <v Speaker 2>but like the between the FIFA staff or the EA <v Speaker 2>Soccer Club, whatever it's. <v Speaker 1>Called, alternate team or whatever it is. <v Speaker 2>Y yeah, and Fortnite Buck. I think there's going to <v Speaker 2>be a noticeable impact of this, which is good. <v Speaker 1>It's welcome, yep, absolutely real quick hit. Hogwarts Legacy Paid <v Speaker 1>DLC is reportedly canceled by w B. They're probably just <v Speaker 1>going to go move on to Hogwarts Legacy two, which <v Speaker 1>maybe makes sense. Also, PS five exclusive Ghost of Yota <v Speaker 1>is still on track for twenty twenty five releases from <v Speaker 1>Robert Ramsey at push Square. Just in case anyone was <v Speaker 1>starting to worry about the fact that we've seen nothing <v Speaker 1>from Ghost of yotasince revealed last year, a quick social <v Speaker 1>media post has reiterated that the PS five exclusive is <v Speaker 1>still on course for this year. It comes from I <v Speaker 1>don't this is a pretty untrustworthy person. So I don't <v Speaker 1>know Andrew Goldfarb. I just don't think we can trust <v Speaker 1>that man at all. So say it's coming out this <v Speaker 1>year still, but really, how far throw that much I <v Speaker 1>trust him? <v Speaker 2>I've seen that guy posting on reset Era. He keeps <v Speaker 2>talking about like elegance and shit, and I don't think <v Speaker 2>anyone should trust that guy. <v Speaker 1>He's a scoundrel. <v Speaker 2>He seems like a he seems like he likes to <v Speaker 2>fib Yeah you online, she likes a goof and a gaff, <v Speaker 2>So this might be either a goof for a gaff <v Speaker 2>from Andrew Goldfob. <v Speaker 1>That's that sound right to me anyway, the games probably <v Speaker 1>coming out. <v Speaker 2>I don't trust anything that isn't revealed to me by <v Speaker 2>way of being invited to a signal group chat anymore. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know, and especially if it's I'm not supposed <v Speaker 1>to be there, then I know it's a real ship. <v Speaker 2>And that's the if you're gonna try and reveal information, <v Speaker 2>that's the only way I'm accepting it. <v Speaker 1>Yep. GOT probably is trying to you know, skirt around <v Speaker 1>GT six like everything else. Although I don't know that <v Speaker 1>game is gonna do just find no matter when it <v Speaker 1>comes out, even if it did come out within a <v Speaker 1>week of g t A six. <v Speaker 2>I I understand the kind of launch around Grand Theft <v Speaker 2>or I think people are taking it way too far though, <v Speaker 2>like it is, it is like both the most dumbing <v Speaker 2>down of consumers possible and and like it is, it <v Speaker 2>does make some sense, but like people are going to <v Speaker 2>buy the games that they're interested in, regardless of whether <v Speaker 2>another game they're interested in exists, like tice to what <v Speaker 2>you're doing, Like how long are you gonna do this for? <v Speaker 2>Just release your game and if Grand Theft are All <v Speaker 2>comes out, trust people to go. I would rather play <v Speaker 2>this one, or I'm gonna play Grand Theft or and <v Speaker 2>this one. It's fine because like I don't think Ghosts <v Speaker 2>of Yota. I mean, I understand the economics behind it, <v Speaker 2>and I understand there's probably people in business divisions going <v Speaker 2>don't put it out at the same time a theft Well, <v Speaker 2>but like if just I just imagine people are gonna <v Speaker 2>be like, yeah, I'm gonna play Ghost Yota, I'm gonna <v Speaker 2>buy that, or Grand Theft All was coming at the <v Speaker 2>same time, I'll figure out way to get that, or <v Speaker 2>I'll just wait because you know, Grand Theft All was <v Speaker 2>gonna be around for the next ten years, right. <v Speaker 1>You know. It's it is definitely a situation of like <v Speaker 1>to a hammer, everything looks like a nail. To a marketer, <v Speaker 1>Grand Theft Auto six always looks like this impossible, impenetrable <v Speaker 1>storm that's gonna take out everything and there's just no <v Speaker 1>way to get around it. It's like that's you're you're <v Speaker 1>probably overthinking it, although I get it. You're doing your <v Speaker 1>job all right. Last thing here, Best by Canada announces <v Speaker 1>that switch To pre orders will go live on April second. <v Speaker 1>Not too surprising Jake Randall over on Twitter, who does <v Speaker 1>a great job of on YouTube of doing live streams. <v Speaker 1>I think maybe actually maybe on Twitch, but he does <v Speaker 1>live streams where he tells people, here's like all the <v Speaker 1>links for where you should go to get pre orders. <v Speaker 1>Here it's live. Here's the exact process you should go <v Speaker 1>through to make sure that your pre order actually goes <v Speaker 1>through when everyone's slamming the servers at the same time. <v Speaker 1>If you want to get a switch to with the <v Speaker 1>best chance of actually succeeding of getting a pre order placed, <v Speaker 1>watch Drake Jake Randall's stuff on April second. But April second. <v Speaker 2>Is what this guy's live streams pre order is, Yes, <v Speaker 2>and it's huge. <v Speaker 1>He's hugely successful doing it, like he live streams like <v Speaker 1>he's like, here's and you know what he's doing is <v Speaker 1>he's giving everyone the tips and the tricks to help <v Speaker 1>make sure that your pre order goes through. And he <v Speaker 1>knows kind of how all these systems work. He's an <v Speaker 1>expert on this stuff. So I'm going to be I'll <v Speaker 1>be watching Jake on that day because I will be <v Speaker 1>trying to pre order this thing. I'm not gonna listen. <v Speaker 2>We should get him in, Oh yeah for sure about <v Speaker 2>this stuff, because. <v Speaker 1>That's a good idea. Yeah, maybe I can get him <v Speaker 1>in next week before even we'll yeah, we'll see if <v Speaker 1>we can make that happen next week. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we'll do a feature where's like we are the <v Speaker 2>general rules that you think are worth keeping in mind <v Speaker 2>when you're trying to do this stuff, and then yeah, <v Speaker 2>chat to about that stuff because that's fascinating. I've never <v Speaker 2>heard of that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, there's a couple of people out there that are <v Speaker 1>doing that, but Jake Randall's definitely might go to guy anyway. <v Speaker 1>He found that Best Buy Canada announced essentially that they <v Speaker 1>will open up pre orders for the switch to on <v Speaker 1>April second. You know, it's possible Best Buys getting out <v Speaker 1>ahead of the jumping the gun here, and they do <v Speaker 1>know something. It's also possible they're just saying we're going <v Speaker 1>to put up a placeholder on that day no matter what. <v Speaker 1>Just give us five dollars to hold your place and <v Speaker 1>the price doesn't get announced for some reason, which it <v Speaker 1>almost certainly will. But if it doesn't, we'll still take <v Speaker 1>your money and we'll sell you a switch to when <v Speaker 1>it's ready to go. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's as someone who worked in retail, getting in <v Speaker 2>as soon as possible and just giving people, even if <v Speaker 2>it's a low place on mind. Yeah, yeah, just give <v Speaker 2>us like five dollars. It could be like I remember <v Speaker 2>I went back in the day when consoles were coming <v Speaker 2>out and I was working, they will be like two <v Speaker 2>pounds fifty. It's not, it's not. It's just a way <v Speaker 2>to get people to commit to you more than anything else, <v Speaker 2>so that whenever the price is announced, they just think, oh, <v Speaker 2>I've already paid a little bit at this place, so <v Speaker 2>I'll just go back there and buy there. They're trying <v Speaker 2>to get you locked in on a purchase as soon <v Speaker 2>as possible. So like there's a lot of times when <v Speaker 2>when I was working in retail, we'd put it up <v Speaker 2>a suit. We had no information on any consoles that <v Speaker 2>were coming out, We had zero information, but we'd still <v Speaker 2>put up pre orders. We just needed the ability to <v Speaker 2>print the name of the console onto a piece of <v Speaker 2>paper and say like pre order now it doesn't require <v Speaker 2>any sort of like well back then it didn't require <v Speaker 2>liaising with PlayStation or Xbox or Nintendo in any way. <v Speaker 2>It's all retailer side, and it's just to build some <v Speaker 2>sort of like obligation towards or are like a perception <v Speaker 2>of obligation to hold that retailer's say, you go there <v Speaker 2>when it's time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's uh one of the things I enjoy about markets. <v Speaker 1>I have a lot of criticisms of capitalism, but I <v Speaker 1>think markets are pretty interesting tools. And being like, you know, <v Speaker 1>two dollars and fifty cents or five dollars, just being <v Speaker 1>like you got to give us something. It just makes <v Speaker 1>sure that the person making the pre order is serious. Right, <v Speaker 1>you're actually wanting to put a little bit of money <v Speaker 1>in there to show that you are. You have stakes, <v Speaker 1>so you're not someone who's just taking up one of <v Speaker 1>these pre orders and isn't serious and isn't going to <v Speaker 1>follow through. You are. If you give us five dollars, <v Speaker 1>it's proof that you're much more likely to actually follow through. <v Speaker 1>So we know we're saving one of these systems for <v Speaker 1>someone who is serious. And then, like you said, if <v Speaker 1>you give money to someone, even if it's just five dollars. <v Speaker 1>You remember that. You don't forget that any little bit <v Speaker 1>about amount of money. You're like, no, I already gave <v Speaker 1>five dollars. I have my place in line. It's not <v Speaker 1>like just oh, I don't know, I registered for free <v Speaker 1>at a bunch of places, and whichever one I remember <v Speaker 1>to go to, I will just go get my actual <v Speaker 1>system through them later. It's like, no, it works from <v Speaker 1>both sides, kind of just locks everyone into a deal. <v Speaker 1>It's a smart thing. I like that. All right. Anyway, <v Speaker 1>we'll find out more about what's going on. Oh you <v Speaker 1>know what here The formorial sixty four Best by Canada <v Speaker 1>took down their blog post about switch to preorders going <v Speaker 1>up on April second. Also was told from another retailer <v Speaker 1>that April second pre order info is in air, so <v Speaker 1>maybe preorders won't launch that day. I think we get <v Speaker 1>the info about pre orders, but maybe it doesn't happen <v Speaker 1>that day. Maybe yeah, I mean, I think we get price, <v Speaker 1>release date, preorder information, but maybe preorders start, like I <v Speaker 1>don't know, a week later or something like that. We'll see. <v Speaker 1>All right, that does it for the headlines. Let's get <v Speaker 1>to the poll from yesterday. Wrap up this week there <v Speaker 1>it is. How many things were for you in the <v Speaker 1>in today's Nintendo Direct Let's see here. Seven percent said <v Speaker 1>five plus that's me. I there's easily five things in <v Speaker 1>there that I was interested in. Fifteen percent SAIDs zero things, <v Speaker 1>which I'm gonna say embarrassing. If you're wanting spending your <v Speaker 1>time watching one of these things, you're like, I don't know, <v Speaker 1>video games interest me. Maybe it's maybe that's a you thing. Uh. <v Speaker 1>Twenty seven percent said three to four things were for them, <v Speaker 1>and fifty one percent said they found one to two <v Speaker 1>things in that direct that they were interested in. I <v Speaker 1>bet for most people that was probably Metroid maybe one <v Speaker 1>of the other things. But hey, everyone, Tritomadacci life it's good. <v Speaker 1>It's real good. <v Speaker 2>It's very good. Rhythm rhythm, rhythm. <v Speaker 1>Rhythm, rhythm, Heave and groove is gonna be one, Like <v Speaker 1>golf is. <v Speaker 2>Great, Like, yes, it's a good golf game. <v Speaker 1>Yep. And then that Marvel Cosmic whatever it was. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, I'm excited about that. I love that they've <v Speaker 2>basically ripped off animations from Marvel versus Capcom two and <v Speaker 2>like brilliant. <v Speaker 1>I read them, Yes, absolutely brilliant. <v Speaker 2>Move. <v Speaker 1>I'm so excited by that. <v Speaker 2>Good job. I'm done with that. <v Speaker 1>Let's see, do we Yes, there we go. Okay, we <v Speaker 1>will come up with a new poole question between me, <v Speaker 1>Tam and Jan here in the next thirty seconds. But <v Speaker 1>while we come up with something, Tam, why don't you <v Speaker 1>tell people where they could find you on the internet <v Speaker 1>and all that good stuff? <v Speaker 2>Would you should just do? You should link talk? Yes? No, <v Speaker 2>perfect perfect yes, no Italian acts. You can find me <v Speaker 2>at two more h on everything. I'm on Twitch. I <v Speaker 2>keep saying I'm gonna be streaming soon. I will be <v Speaker 2>streaming soon. You find me on giant bomb dot com. <v Speaker 2>You can find me on GameSpot dot com. You can <v Speaker 2>watch the Power Block. We've been filming a bunch of <v Speaker 2>stuff for that, working on piloting some shows. I believe <v Speaker 2>we have revengeance happening today and UPF what we're doing <v Speaker 2>with what's going on? UPF? Is it the drug game. <v Speaker 1>I think I'm gonna play the drug game, although I might. <v Speaker 1>We might open up the floor if anyone else wants <v Speaker 1>to bring something and come hang out. We could do <v Speaker 1>that as well. Although the drug game is cooperative, so <v Speaker 1>I'm sure they could fill up two hours. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, I'm trying to stay away from drug games. <v Speaker 2>I don't think I should be associated with. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, you stay safe. So if you want, if <v Speaker 1>you want to stop playing the drug game and coming <v Speaker 1>there and we can play something else. <v Speaker 2>Don't do what you want. But if you know, if <v Speaker 2>suddenly you decide you want to play like a. <v Speaker 1>Schedule one like it's named after the most illegal level <v Speaker 1>of drug. So yeah, I get it. <v Speaker 2>I'm just saying, like we had a great time playing repo, <v Speaker 2>No anything could happen. Maybe maybe you want to play. <v Speaker 1>All you have to literally, all you have to say <v Speaker 1>is can we play more repo? And my answer is <v Speaker 1>always going to be yes. I want to play more <v Speaker 1>repo so bad. So if you go and tell people <v Speaker 1>are playing repo, we'll do it. All right, Well, we'll <v Speaker 1>figure we'll figure out what's going on for UPF, for everybody, <v Speaker 1>We'll figure out you know, BCR is happening. We'll get <v Speaker 1>all that going for here pretty soon. In the meantime, <v Speaker 1>new pool question, should you link talk Yes? No in <v Speaker 1>an Italian accent like that Mario. You can vote now <v Speaker 1>by going to YouTube dot com slash at giant bomb <v Speaker 1>under the community tab. There we'll get the results. We'll <v Speaker 1>talk about it on game Breaking News here on the <v Speaker 1>Power Block featuring Giant Bomb and Game Spot on Monday. <v Speaker 1>Speaking of the Power Block, stay tuned right after this, <v Speaker 1>we'll be BCR all right, Tam, thank you. <v Speaker 2>Please say to the American government that I have not <v Speaker 2>don't drug you have no interest in drugs. I never <v Speaker 2>committed a crime, I don't do, not intend to commit <v Speaker 2>a crime. I am a law abiding citizen. I've paid <v Speaker 2>my taxes. <v Speaker 1>Thank you paid them twice. All right, Tam, thank you <v Speaker 1>so much for hanging out with me to today and <v Speaker 1>talking about video games. Man, I really appreciate it. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for having me. I'm not sure if I'm <v Speaker 2>going to be here next week. I might be traveling. <v Speaker 2>But we'll figure it out. <v Speaker 1>You know, we'll figure it out. We'll make it work. <v Speaker 1>In the meantime, thank you all for watching and listening. <v Speaker 1>You're the best audience in gaming. Until next time, have <v Speaker 1>a good one, take care of yourself, and goodbye. Power Block.
