<v Speaker 1>He'll be gon be bad.
<v Speaker 2>Hey everybody, welcome to Games Mornings with Me Jeff Greb,
<v Speaker 2>your host from GiantBomb dot com.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for tuning in.
<v Speaker 2>In this episode, we're going to be talking about Metroid four,
<v Speaker 2>our Metroc prime for and how it's out.
<v Speaker 3>Now.
<v Speaker 2>Wait what It's going to be a good one because
<v Speaker 2>we have Jesse Vitelle on the show.
<v Speaker 1>Jesse, how are you doing?
<v Speaker 4>Doing great? It's Friday, we're here. I'm ready. I'm usually
<v Speaker 4>on the show on Fridays, so it's like I feel
<v Speaker 4>right at home, you know, right, We're good to go.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is this is the show to have you
<v Speaker 2>on for sure. I appreciate you doing the show as always. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah, how are things going with the otherwise? You're
<v Speaker 2>playing anything that you can talk about that that you're
<v Speaker 2>really into right now? I saw someone on Polygon Simone
<v Speaker 2>actually talking about I can't remember the name of the game,
<v Speaker 2>but it's a claw Machine Slay the Spire. I'm like that.
<v Speaker 2>That sounds hot to me. That sounds essential.
<v Speaker 4>I know what I'm gonna be playing now.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm not that. It's a dungeon claller, dungeon crawler,
<v Speaker 1>dungeon Claller.
<v Speaker 4>I do love a good pun. Yes, Okay, we're gonna
<v Speaker 4>we're gonna have to go play Dungeon Caller claw or
<v Speaker 4>but I mean otherwise, I've been playing some stuff I
<v Speaker 4>can't talk about. I've been playing some stuff that I
<v Speaker 4>can talk about. Uh. I've been recovering from SGFU. Even
<v Speaker 4>though still it feels like it just happened. It's actually
<v Speaker 4>been like a week more than a week ago. Two
<v Speaker 4>weeks ago. I don't remember.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I can't tell you either. Honestly, I was like
<v Speaker 2>in two weeks. It doesn't feel like it's been two weeks.
<v Speaker 4>Been playing a lot of Mario Kart World. Obviously, you've
<v Speaker 4>been topping into some of the games that we've been playing,
<v Speaker 4>beating us. Unfortunately. I've been playing this game called Poxel
<v Speaker 4>dot Io, and let me tell you, that's just one
<v Speaker 4>of those Discord activities that you can play with your friends.
<v Speaker 4>It's the worst first person shooter I've ever play in
<v Speaker 4>my life. But me and Nikky and Michael have been
<v Speaker 4>playing it and like it. It seems problematic in the
<v Speaker 4>way that it may use AI art or something. I
<v Speaker 4>don't want to like throw that out there and just
<v Speaker 4>spread misinformation. It's it's literally like the worst thing you've
<v Speaker 4>ever seen. It's it's just absolute garbage. But we play
<v Speaker 4>it for like five minutes at a time, we get
<v Speaker 4>mad at each other, and then we stop playing it.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know how I got here.
<v Speaker 2>I I'm always looking at those Discord activities and I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>no one else is gonna want to do this. So
<v Speaker 2>hearing that people are actually in there discovering the filth
<v Speaker 2>that is that lies at the heart of Discord makes
<v Speaker 2>me very happy, even if it's only for five minutes
<v Speaker 2>at a time. Listen, you can only expose yourself to
<v Speaker 2>that for so long. What wait, what makes it? What
<v Speaker 2>makes it so bad?
<v Speaker 4>It is just like okay, one, It's like it's like
<v Speaker 4>rodblocks and Minecraft like mashed together, but in a way
<v Speaker 4>that it's just like aping off of them and not
<v Speaker 4>like doing anything. It's like very clearly designed as like
<v Speaker 4>the lowest common denominae of just a first person shooter,
<v Speaker 4>and like the physics are awful, and like everything about
<v Speaker 4>it just feels terrible, Like it's got a battle pass
<v Speaker 4>and like horrendous monetization within the Discord app itself, like
<v Speaker 4>you can play I think it's a browser game too.
<v Speaker 4>But then there's games like Crunker Royale, which is just
<v Speaker 4>like that but a Battle Royale. We went down the
<v Speaker 4>rabbit hole of just like really bad Discord activity games. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>but what I will say is there's one that's very good,
<v Speaker 4>and it's called jam Space Whiteboard, and it is literally
<v Speaker 4>just a giant whiteboard that you can everyone in Discord
<v Speaker 4>can just do an activity together where they're drawing and
<v Speaker 4>dropping in gifts and images and you kind of go
<v Speaker 4>into a fugue state and then after like an hour,
<v Speaker 4>you have the most unhinged modern art.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, modern art.
<v Speaker 4>You've ever seen wal mural if you will, So that
<v Speaker 4>one's really good. But yeah, we've been diving in depths
<v Speaker 4>of the Discord filth, and let me tell you it's
<v Speaker 4>bad in there. It's really bad in there.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, Jim, let's do a upf of all these things.
<v Speaker 2>Let's let's do a Discord Activities up F.
<v Speaker 4>You're free to, yep, I'm absolutely three.
<v Speaker 1>You let me know.
<v Speaker 4>I'll show you through the filth that is the Discord Activities.
<v Speaker 1>Hell, yeah, you could be our shirp fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, let's explain what we do here at Giant Bomb

<v Speaker 2>dot com. You can also catch a show later on YouTube.
<v Speaker 2>Hello YouTube, all right, we have a lot to get into,
<v Speaker 2>so let's start the morning mess with Metroid Prime four
<v Speaker 2>is out now, or so says the London Underground.
<v Speaker 1>We did it, everybody, we survived it. Now.
<v Speaker 2>It's not out on a Nintendo Switch or anything, but
<v Speaker 2>it is out, according to a poster in the London
<v Speaker 2>and London Underground. Why can't I say that this is
<v Speaker 2>from Alex co at Dual Shockers to London, I'd gone.
<v Speaker 2>One of the biggest game announcements from Nintendo outside the
<v Speaker 2>Switch to this year was undoubtedly the Metroid Prime four
<v Speaker 2>Beyond release, which was confirmed in March of this year
<v Speaker 2>that the game was still in development and that it
<v Speaker 2>would come out in twenty twenty five. Outside of confirming
<v Speaker 2>that we'll see the game sometime this year, Nintendo hasn't
<v Speaker 2>provided any information about the game's release date beyond that. However,
<v Speaker 2>a new ad in London has surfaced stating the game
<v Speaker 2>is out quote now, with some people thinking that Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>might shadow drop the game. An ad was spotted on
<v Speaker 2>the London Underground via VGC that says Metroid Prime four
<v Speaker 2>Beyond is out now and as you can see, there's
<v Speaker 2>an image. It's just a big poster alongside a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of other switch to posters. It even mentions the Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>switch To edition of the game, which was unveiled during
<v Speaker 2>the Switch To Direct show during April. As of press time,
<v Speaker 2>Metroid Prime four Beyond has not been released on Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>Switch To e Shop, which means this ad was plastered prematurely.
<v Speaker 2>Is there a chance that Nintendo shadow drops the game, they.
<v Speaker 1>Say, say today?
<v Speaker 2>I doubt it, possibly, but it doesn't seem likely. Jesse Kelly,
<v Speaker 2>did you see this your What do you think is
<v Speaker 2>happening here?
<v Speaker 4>Okay? I did see this and one at first I
<v Speaker 4>thought it was a photoshopped ad. I think it's a
<v Speaker 4>bad ad if we're just putting it out there the
<v Speaker 4>out now, it feels like it's like tacked on. That
<v Speaker 4>being said, like it's it feels like a couple of
<v Speaker 4>different things. It feels like somebody is really good and
<v Speaker 4>plastered up and add to just stir chaos. But also
<v Speaker 4>like marketing plans are tough. Sometimes things get moved around
<v Speaker 4>and you miss something and you forget to cancel your
<v Speaker 4>London underground ad in for Metroid Prime for Do I
<v Speaker 4>think it's coming out today?
<v Speaker 1>No?
<v Speaker 4>I think that would be absurd. Metroid is a franchise
<v Speaker 4>that one they'd want to promote, but two I think
<v Speaker 4>needs the marketing, especially for with how long it's been.
<v Speaker 4>It needs that ramp up. They're not gonna just post
<v Speaker 4>blaster some billboards and be like it's out today. However,
<v Speaker 4>hear me out, that would be the funniest possible thing
<v Speaker 4>they could do is just on the Nintendo Today app,
<v Speaker 4>be like Metroid Prime four is out today, and then
<v Speaker 4>everyone realizes that they have to keep paying attention to
<v Speaker 4>this app every single Yeah, that would be the funniest thing.
<v Speaker 1>They definitely seem like that is their intention with a
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Today app.
<v Speaker 3>Like I'll say it, there's you should probably have to
<v Speaker 3>see semen at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Well I didn't do that.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know. We need to turn that off. So
<v Speaker 3>it says that when I come into the room, I
<v Speaker 3>just know.
<v Speaker 1>You turn that on.
<v Speaker 3>I did that when that that was no way I
<v Speaker 3>would do that.
<v Speaker 5>As to make sure you know that VGC got to
<v Speaker 5>come out from Nintendo saying that this this is not
<v Speaker 5>it's a it's not true, it's fake. It's a fake.
<v Speaker 3>Goodbye, sorry about the Semen thing.
<v Speaker 4>So my initial point stands somebody went up there and
<v Speaker 4>did it themselves.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, I mean did they say it was like
<v Speaker 2>a hoax or like or like like a fake or
<v Speaker 2>was it just a mistake. I guess I saw that
<v Speaker 2>the v VGC said it was not true. Let's see
<v Speaker 2>we can get there. You know, Discord has a thing
<v Speaker 2>where you could set your like the sound of a
<v Speaker 2>notification when you enter a room. He did that himself.
<v Speaker 2>What is he saying? He claims he had nothing to
<v Speaker 2>do with the Semen thing, but it's all him.
<v Speaker 4>You know what, you can't You can't reel in Mike manaughty.
<v Speaker 1>No, you got to just accept him for who he is.
<v Speaker 4>All right.
<v Speaker 3>Update you should probably have to see Semen at some point.
<v Speaker 5>I did not do this myself, Jeff, Come on, why
<v Speaker 5>would I do this? Absolutely not. I don't know who
<v Speaker 5>did it. Of course that admin has it has to
<v Speaker 5>be him. There's no way that admins would have the
<v Speaker 5>power to set these things. Shut up, you have a
<v Speaker 5>knotty word on your shirts. I'm calling hr Oh never mind.
<v Speaker 5>I saw the rest of it.
<v Speaker 1>Good shirt, Mike against my shirt? That's right, everybody. You
<v Speaker 1>heard it here first.
<v Speaker 4>You show the fun part. I didn't see the rest
<v Speaker 4>of it.
<v Speaker 2>Why, guys, why do you go eat that three d
<v Speaker 2>o M mascot's ass to get out of here?
<v Speaker 1>Got him?
<v Speaker 5>Everybody, let's go dodgerse there you go, I like crutched
<v Speaker 5>dice by everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Uh? Was that bad?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, man, We got to do something about this.
<v Speaker 2>We gotta lock these doors tighter.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>An update, a Nintendo spokesperson has told VGC that the
<v Speaker 2>advert date is incorrect and Metroid Prime four is not
<v Speaker 2>out now.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, we could confirm that the out now message on
<v Speaker 2>this advert is incorrect. Metro Prime four Beyond and Metroid
<v Speaker 2>Prime four Beyond Dash Nintendo Switch To Edition are not
<v Speaker 2>yet available and are scheduled for release in twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 2>All right, So, I mean, how the mistake happens? What's
<v Speaker 2>it a hoax?
<v Speaker 1>Whatever?
<v Speaker 2>I My guess here is like kind of what you
<v Speaker 2>were saying, Jesse. Marketing is hard. There are a lot
<v Speaker 2>of moving parts this game maybe at one point was
<v Speaker 2>supposed to be out now, or some people are saying
<v Speaker 2>it's a graphic design things that there's a little kind
<v Speaker 2>of hovering box behind the out now now.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>To me, that looks like it's part of the design.
<v Speaker 2>But whatever everyone's theory here is is equally valid. I
<v Speaker 2>just guess that the simplest solution is this thing was
<v Speaker 2>supposed to go up at some point, just got put
<v Speaker 2>up too early for whatever reason. So then, Jesse, why
<v Speaker 2>the hell isn't this game out now? Though this is
<v Speaker 2>at Nintendo Switch one game and that obviously it's gonna
<v Speaker 2>get a switch.
<v Speaker 1>To update, but like, why is it it out?
<v Speaker 4>I have been thinking about this for so long because
<v Speaker 4>obviously this game was announced almost a decade ago, and
<v Speaker 4>obviously it went through it went through reboots and you know,
<v Speaker 4>you know, it switched hands and whatever. But I don't
<v Speaker 4>know what they're holding off, Like, I don't know what
<v Speaker 4>the secrecy with this thing is. Like they showed me
<v Speaker 4>I played, I've played this game. I played it at
<v Speaker 4>the Nintendo Switched to launch event. It's great, you know,
<v Speaker 4>I played fifteen minutes of it, But like, what do
<v Speaker 4>we what are we holding on to? Like there must
<v Speaker 4>be some direct or something that they're waiting to just
<v Speaker 4>did it have its full moment? But like, at this point,
<v Speaker 4>it's got to be a late holiday game, right, It's
<v Speaker 4>got to be a November December game because they want
<v Speaker 4>to have their marketing ramp up. They want to have
<v Speaker 4>they want to show it in a direct, and then
<v Speaker 4>they it feels like a game that's ripe for a
<v Speaker 4>fifteen minute direct, similar to Donkey Kong and Mario does.
<v Speaker 4>So you need time to do that, And so I
<v Speaker 4>don't know what they're waiting for to give the release
<v Speaker 4>date for it, because I feel like that game only
<v Speaker 4>benefits from having a release date and letting people know
<v Speaker 4>that it's definitely coming out this year. It's definitely November,
<v Speaker 4>it's definitely December, and if I don't hear about it soon,
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to stop believing that it's this year. And
<v Speaker 4>then I'm also going to be worried because like, what
<v Speaker 4>is so wrong with this product?
<v Speaker 1>Man?
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I'm of two minds about it, and they're
<v Speaker 2>on the extreme ends of the spectrum of either there
<v Speaker 2>is something wrong and the studio needed more time. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>that's the more likely scenario, because I mean, God, what
<v Speaker 2>video game really least in the last five years hasn't
<v Speaker 2>had that story, or Nintendo really believes in it and
<v Speaker 2>does want to make it it's primary holiday release, as like, hey, listen,
<v Speaker 2>we have we have a Mario Kart and we have
<v Speaker 2>Donkey Kong and those games are made for switch to,
<v Speaker 2>and we do want those to like be the leading
<v Speaker 2>foot that we put out for the switch To. Sure,
<v Speaker 2>but as we get to the holiday, we're gonna have
<v Speaker 2>Pokemon and that is going to appeal to a massive audience.
<v Speaker 2>But there is another audience we still want to like
<v Speaker 2>please around the holidays, and Metroid Prime four can do that,
<v Speaker 2>and at that point we can really treat it as
<v Speaker 2>a switch to game, even though it's also going to
<v Speaker 2>be coming to Switch one and you know it's retro,
<v Speaker 2>it's Metroid Prime.
<v Speaker 1>There is a chance this is a really really.
<v Speaker 2>Good game and they want to give it its best
<v Speaker 2>chance to just really have the full spotlight on switch too.
<v Speaker 2>That's definitely copium on my part for sure, a little bit,
<v Speaker 2>because you know, in my mind, before the switch To
<v Speaker 2>got all its reveal, it's like, hey, right before that happens,
<v Speaker 2>they'll probably give us METROI Prime for like a release
<v Speaker 2>date in that window between when they announce the switch
<v Speaker 2>to and when the Switch two comes out and then
<v Speaker 2>it'll get a switch to version. They didn't do that,
<v Speaker 2>so and now I'm like, oh man, what is going
<v Speaker 2>on with this? Game and to still just have a
<v Speaker 2>twenty twenty five release date. At this point, I'm trying
<v Speaker 2>not to worry because what's the point. But this is
<v Speaker 2>a game I really want to be good. So we'll
<v Speaker 2>see you're putting your timeline around holiday, because I think
<v Speaker 2>I'm there as well.
<v Speaker 1>Holiday sounds right to me.
<v Speaker 4>It makes sense to me because Nintendo loves to do it,
<v Speaker 4>but they did it on the Switch one launch, and
<v Speaker 4>I feel like they're doing an hour. It's like they
<v Speaker 4>kind of have like one big game a month. So
<v Speaker 4>it's like Mario Kart launched Donkey Kong July. I don't
<v Speaker 4>know what's August. There's Kirby DLC, but I don't think
<v Speaker 4>that counts. Then like Pokemon's October. Kirby air Riders is
<v Speaker 4>supposed to fit into this equation at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so on the day for that as well, right, slot.
<v Speaker 4>That for like maybe a September or December, and then
<v Speaker 4>like wherever that slots, you figure you slot Metroid in
<v Speaker 4>whatever metro to be feels November, could be December, it
<v Speaker 4>feels late late holiday. But I don't know. That's just
<v Speaker 4>kind of like where I would put it. I don't
<v Speaker 4>really think it makes sense elsewhere for the rest of
<v Speaker 4>the year. Like, I don't think putting that game out
<v Speaker 4>in August makes a ton of sense personally. I think,
<v Speaker 4>like you said, they want to give it the best
<v Speaker 4>possible chance, and I think propping it up like it's
<v Speaker 4>the biggest thing they have this year, is there its
<v Speaker 4>best option for you know, doing well, especially around the holidays,
<v Speaker 4>people are going to try to get more switch toes.
<v Speaker 4>They want to buy them for their family. They need
<v Speaker 4>a game pack METROI to do do a bundle or
<v Speaker 4>do a whatever with Metroid, Like, I don't know. I
<v Speaker 4>think it works. Your bundle game is probably Donkey Kong,
<v Speaker 4>but still I can dream.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, people chatter wondering if Kirby air Riders was labeled
<v Speaker 2>for twenty twenty five or twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 4>I did say twenty six.
<v Speaker 1>I think they said winter actually, and I think that's
<v Speaker 1>the winter.
<v Speaker 2>I think I think Winter's the one they use when
<v Speaker 2>it's like that gives them a little leeway to be
<v Speaker 2>either late twenty twenty five or early twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 2>So that's where I think that confusion comes from.
<v Speaker 1>But maybe not.
<v Speaker 2>Oh no, just twenty twenty five specification on when one
<v Speaker 2>of them did have a Winter label, but I can't
<v Speaker 2>remember exactly what it was.
<v Speaker 4>I might have been an Age of Imprisonment. I think
<v Speaker 4>that was the Warriors game was Winter.
<v Speaker 1>That's yes, that sounds right, Okay, yeah, all right, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>They have a lot of games coming and it's your right.
<v Speaker 2>So like November for Metroid does feel like makes sense
<v Speaker 2>in the rest of those conserta like just spiral spiral
<v Speaker 2>around that one in a way that I think will
<v Speaker 2>feel nice for people that have to switch to All right,
<v Speaker 2>Donkey Kong Bonanza switch to demo spotted in the wild
<v Speaker 2>while we stick to Nintendo News for the start of
<v Speaker 2>the show.
<v Speaker 1>This is from Liam Dulan at Nintendo Life.
<v Speaker 2>Following a recent story about switch to kiosks popping up
<v Speaker 2>in US stores, We've now got a small but exciting update.
<v Speaker 2>If the Donkey Kong Bananz had direct left you wanting
<v Speaker 2>to play the game right now, Apparently a demo of
<v Speaker 2>the game has been added to these same kiosks at
<v Speaker 2>locations like Walmart and Target in the United States. But
<v Speaker 2>you can enjoy or you can enjoy ten whole minutes
<v Speaker 2>of its upcoming release. Nintendo has it said if it
<v Speaker 2>will be making this demo or anything similar available on
<v Speaker 2>the switch to e shop. But if we hear any updates,
<v Speaker 2>let you know you have played Donkey Kong Bonanza I have.
<v Speaker 2>How do you find Donkey Kong Bonanza.
<v Speaker 4>I find it's a little overwhelming at first because there's
<v Speaker 4>obviously a lot going on the right, but I find
<v Speaker 4>it delightful. I think it's incredibly fun. It's intuitive. You know,
<v Speaker 4>you hit the you hit a button to punch down,
<v Speaker 4>you know, left button to punch left. Like it all
<v Speaker 4>feels like it flows together really well. And after watching
<v Speaker 4>the most recent direct a lot of the what I
<v Speaker 4>saw has a lot of context to it, and so
<v Speaker 4>like there were like tuning forks everywhere, and I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 4>I this makes sense with Pauline being a singer and
<v Speaker 4>all this stuff. But it just feels good to play.
<v Speaker 4>The environment we got to play with was very tiny.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't get to do any of the challenge levels
<v Speaker 4>or anything like that. Like it really was like a
<v Speaker 4>tight fifteen minute just kind of run around and hit stuff,
<v Speaker 4>and that feels really good. It feels good to punch things,
<v Speaker 4>surfing on the rock, doing a chunk jump jump.
<v Speaker 1>Go to chunk jump dot com.
<v Speaker 4>Everybody chunk Jump dot com. Uh, it feels great. It
<v Speaker 4>really does. Like you want your open not open world,
<v Speaker 4>but like you want your sort of explored three D
<v Speaker 4>platform or collectithon but this is that in spades, and
<v Speaker 4>so I'm excited. I feel like it's my switch to
<v Speaker 4>launch game. It's the game that I like. I feel
<v Speaker 4>like this is the first game I'm really going to sink,
<v Speaker 4>you know, as much time as possible and to collect
<v Speaker 4>everything get one hundred percent. But yeah, it feels good
<v Speaker 4>to play.
<v Speaker 1>I love kiss Demos.
<v Speaker 2>I just like, like have such a fond memory of
<v Speaker 2>trying to get my parents to take me to Toys
<v Speaker 2>r Us to go play Mario sixty four and just
<v Speaker 2>being like, first of all these this kiosk looks so
<v Speaker 2>damn cool, and then getting my hands on an N
<v Speaker 2>sixty four controller for the first time and having read
<v Speaker 2>the magazines so knowing how to hold it right and
<v Speaker 2>things like that, and playing Mario and just being like, man,
<v Speaker 2>this is.
<v Speaker 1>A life changing experience.
<v Speaker 2>So part of me is very a nostalgic about the
<v Speaker 2>idea of maybe going out because I haven't played Donkey
<v Speaker 2>Kung Nancy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Dan went out to the New York event. Excuse me,
<v Speaker 2>nothing but good things to say about it. So I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>you know what, maybe if I get some time this weekend,
<v Speaker 2>I will try to track one of these down. I'll
<v Speaker 2>go out to a Target. I'll go to a best
<v Speaker 2>Buy or it's Target and Walmart. I think they said
<v Speaker 2>I got two of those around my house. I live
<v Speaker 2>in the suburbs. I'll try to go make that happen.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I'm excited from that front. But they there's
<v Speaker 2>a chance they put out a demo for this game.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, what do you think?
<v Speaker 4>I think?
<v Speaker 1>So?
<v Speaker 4>I mean it only really like behooves them right, nothing
<v Speaker 4>like what bad could happen? Surely nothing ever bad has
<v Speaker 4>happened for a demo hitting a store. People have definitely
<v Speaker 4>not gotten access to the full game accidentally.
<v Speaker 1>No, never, No, I think.
<v Speaker 4>It feels for some reason, it feels unlikely to me,
<v Speaker 4>and I can't really put my finger on why. But
<v Speaker 4>I would like them too, because I think if people
<v Speaker 4>play ten minutes of this thing, they understand it. They
<v Speaker 4>just it just makes sense and it's like, oh, I
<v Speaker 4>could play a whole game of this, and so I
<v Speaker 4>think it's only benefits the game. But I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>Nintendo's weird. It's almost impossible to ever figure out what
<v Speaker 4>they want to do, and so it could happen. I'd
<v Speaker 4>like it to.
<v Speaker 2>After playing the game, how long did you spend with
<v Speaker 2>the game when you were playing it?
<v Speaker 4>Like it was fifteen fifteen minutes. I went back and
<v Speaker 4>tried to play it again and they're like, yeah, you
<v Speaker 4>can play it again, And then I played five more
<v Speaker 4>minutes of it, and I'm like, actually, I don't need
<v Speaker 4>to keep doing this. I'm okay, I don't want to
<v Speaker 4>do the same exact thing I just did, but it's good.
<v Speaker 1>So did you watch the direct for it?
<v Speaker 2>I did, So did your understanding of like what was
<v Speaker 2>going to be happening in the game like change from
<v Speaker 2>like when when you played that fifteen minutes to the direct?
<v Speaker 2>Did you like learn anything new to like, oh, I
<v Speaker 2>didn't realize that that was also happening.
<v Speaker 4>I think the biggest thing for me was just a
<v Speaker 4>lot of context, because it the demo kind of threw
<v Speaker 4>you in and that initial trailer kind of just shows
<v Speaker 4>you like a broad overview of what this game is,
<v Speaker 4>but having context for like, oh, we're going deeper underground
<v Speaker 4>and all of these worlds are actually like part on
<v Speaker 4>our way to the planet Core. And the one thing
<v Speaker 4>that I didn't know until after I had played the
<v Speaker 4>demo because I watched it in Treehouse and then this
<v Speaker 4>direct touches on it is the idea of the different
<v Speaker 4>textures having different properties to them, so like throwing soft
<v Speaker 4>mud at a wall makes it stick so you can
<v Speaker 4>use it as a platform or a bridge or stuff
<v Speaker 4>like that. And I would have loved to play around
<v Speaker 4>with that more in the fifteen minutes that I had
<v Speaker 4>with it, because I think you could do some really
<v Speaker 4>interesting things. And then obviously we had we did not
<v Speaker 4>know about the Mario paint style rock sculpture. Yeah, thing
<v Speaker 4>that I would have loved to play around with. If
<v Speaker 4>you would have given me a fifteen minute demo of
<v Speaker 4>just that, I would have Yeah, I would have been happy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I'm almost surprised that that wasn't one of the mouse
<v Speaker 2>demos that you guys got to play around with, because
<v Speaker 2>that's that's a fun thing.
<v Speaker 1>I like that, like that a lot. All right, let's
<v Speaker 1>do this next one.
<v Speaker 2>Nexus Mods is new owners say that there won't be
<v Speaker 2>aggressive monetization. This is from Blair Marnell at game Spot
<v Speaker 2>Earlier this week, Robin dark One Scott announced that he
<v Speaker 2>sold Nexus Mods to a new owner, and I guess
<v Speaker 2>people that might not know next. Nexus Mods is like
<v Speaker 2>the primary mod depository for like a a lot of
<v Speaker 2>Bethesda games, like if You Hey, I've modded the hell
<v Speaker 2>out of my skyram I put two hundred and fifty
<v Speaker 2>mods in there. Chances are the vast majority of those
<v Speaker 2>came from Nexus Mods, and then they support a ton
<v Speaker 2>of other games at this point. But I think it
<v Speaker 2>did start with like Moroin back in the day, all right, Yes.
<v Speaker 2>Ending his nearly twenty four years as the leader of
<v Speaker 2>the site that he founded in two thousand and one,
<v Speaker 2>Scott has indicated that he will remain with Nexus Mods
<v Speaker 2>in some capacity while guiding the overall direction of the site.
<v Speaker 2>The new owner, Chosen, has also spoken out to assure
<v Speaker 2>fans that the valuable resource won't be adding aggressive monetization
<v Speaker 2>quote unquote or suddenly place mods behind a paywall referred
<v Speaker 2>to by their Nexus Mods names. In a statement from Scott, Folodino,
<v Speaker 2>Victor and Rapsak who is Marinus, and Tagan who's Nikolai
<v Speaker 2>are the three partners in Nexus Mods ownership under Chosen.
<v Speaker 2>This led to fears among players that they collectively plan
<v Speaker 2>to monetize the site and.
<v Speaker 1>Exploit the user base for short term gains.
<v Speaker 2>In a post on Next Mods, Filodino told fans that
<v Speaker 2>mods will always be free for the most part. Filadino's
<v Speaker 2>message was the few was that the few things would change.
<v Speaker 2>He went on to say that Chosen doesn't claim ownership
<v Speaker 2>of any mods, nor will charge users to download them.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Nexus Mods has always had like a premium option,
<v Speaker 2>and that's like to be able to download things faster,
<v Speaker 2>or to use certain features in their app that they've
<v Speaker 2>built Vortex and it's it's handy. Occasionally I've I've subscribed
<v Speaker 2>to that in the past here and there, but you
<v Speaker 2>don't need to, and you've never needed to, and you
<v Speaker 2>can always download things manually, which is a preferred way
<v Speaker 2>in a lot of cases for me, even but I
<v Speaker 2>get the concern here. This is there's a tradition of
<v Speaker 2>Nexus Mods and just mods in general being this community
<v Speaker 2>supported thing, and the most of them are always going
<v Speaker 2>to be free. Even though that Man, there was a time, Jesse,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm trying to remember the game. It might have
<v Speaker 2>been a b testa game where someone was like Okay,
<v Speaker 2>we are going to start enabling moders to charge for mods,
<v Speaker 2>and there was a huge backlash to the point where
<v Speaker 2>it's like they'd stopped doing that.
<v Speaker 1>It was like squashed into the ground.
<v Speaker 2>And since then a lot of other games have like
<v Speaker 2>found ways to start charging for mods. I've been playing
<v Speaker 2>Minecraft with my kids, and boy do they charge for
<v Speaker 2>mods in that game?
<v Speaker 4>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>That exactly.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, there's a new generation coming up. We're paying for odds.
<v Speaker 2>It's just the normal thing. But it doesn't sound like
<v Speaker 2>that will be a shift. Nexus mods will try to
<v Speaker 2>pull off. And I think I tend to believe this.
<v Speaker 2>It does sound like the original owner just what got
<v Speaker 2>burnt out and wanted to step back and these other
<v Speaker 2>people are just gonna take over to kind of keep
<v Speaker 2>things going.
<v Speaker 1>But who knows, I mean, the worst could happen. What
<v Speaker 1>do you think?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I want to I don't want to be cynical
<v Speaker 4>about this, but the cynical part of me is always like,
<v Speaker 4>this is how it starts, right, we won't do this,
<v Speaker 4>we won't monetize, and then slowly it happens, and it
<v Speaker 4>starts to happen, and then the thing you've come to
<v Speaker 4>know and love doesn't exist in the format used to.
<v Speaker 4>Anytime there's an ownership change or change of hands, there's
<v Speaker 4>always something that changes. This case feels a little less
<v Speaker 4>like that. It feels a little less salesy and more
<v Speaker 4>like you said, like just this, this person needed to
<v Speaker 4>step back and get out of there and brought some
<v Speaker 4>people on to facilitate this. But part of me does worry.
<v Speaker 4>And I think it's natural to worry about something like
<v Speaker 4>this because anytime ownership changes hands, anything can happen. Yes,
<v Speaker 4>so you never know. The intitification of the Internet continues forever,
<v Speaker 4>and so yeah, something that people love and feel very
<v Speaker 4>passionate about and use daily could change. It could not change,
<v Speaker 4>who knows. But I think it's it's only natural to
<v Speaker 4>feel weary.
<v Speaker 1>Yep.
<v Speaker 2>I it was Skyrim's people in chatter pointing out Skyrim
<v Speaker 2>had a store, yeah, and that.
<v Speaker 1>Was the big backlash, and I just pretty brutal.
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, man, if people do work and they want
<v Speaker 2>to get paid for it, I was just mostly of
<v Speaker 2>the opinion of like, sure, if they want to try
<v Speaker 2>to charge for something, and better be good and worth
<v Speaker 2>the money. But but yeah, like I kind of felt
<v Speaker 2>like I'll pay for mods if I really really really
<v Speaker 2>want one, and I get then at the same time,
<v Speaker 2>I also get people who are like, I'll never pay
<v Speaker 2>for mods, but you know, and then there's a huge
<v Speaker 2>contingent of people who like mods that's not real video games.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm like, okay, whatever.
<v Speaker 2>But I understood where that's where that stuff was coming from,
<v Speaker 2>of a monitor being like, hey, I would like to
<v Speaker 2>get reimbursed for all this work I'm putting in here.
<v Speaker 2>But it just at a certain point it became clear
<v Speaker 2>that is not the culture.
<v Speaker 1>Of that space.
<v Speaker 2>And there is too much history of people being like
<v Speaker 2>I will do a ton of work and I am
<v Speaker 2>going to give this away and then I'll go get
<v Speaker 2>a job because I learned a ton of stuff doing mods,
<v Speaker 2>and people sort of wanted to keep that tradition going.
<v Speaker 2>And and it is like that is still the primary
<v Speaker 2>way that people approach making mods for video games today,
<v Speaker 2>and I hope Nexus Mods doesn't sort of throw a
<v Speaker 2>wrench into that.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see you. I feel slightly assured here, but.
<v Speaker 2>I don't feel fully assured, as you're saying, saying, anything
<v Speaker 2>can happen now.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and if NeXT's mods were to get like, you know,
<v Speaker 4>aggressively monetized or whatever. A new website will pop up
<v Speaker 4>in its place. Somebody will leave and go make a
<v Speaker 4>new thing, and then that'll be built up. And that's
<v Speaker 4>how you get new grassroots websites and organizations and stuff
<v Speaker 4>like that. Is people leave all we see it in
<v Speaker 4>game development all the time. People leave company because they
<v Speaker 4>get frustrated with the way the company is going. They
<v Speaker 4>go build their own thing. And it sucks for a
<v Speaker 4>lot of reasons. But I think the mods will be okay,
<v Speaker 4>you know, I think I think the model will persevere.
<v Speaker 1>I hope.
<v Speaker 2>So all right, we're gonna take a quick break when
<v Speaker 2>we come back. Plenty of more headlines to talk about,
<v Speaker 2>including how Kochuma.

<v Speaker 2>Hey, everybody, welcome back to Game Mess Mornings. Jeff Grub
<v Speaker 2>that's Jesse Vittelli. Let's get back into the news. Dale
<v Speaker 2>Kojima won't have too much input into the Death Stranding movie.
<v Speaker 2>This is from Alex Hopley at Game Reactor and an
<v Speaker 2>age where a Minecraft movie and the Super Mario Brothers
<v Speaker 2>movie can.
<v Speaker 1>Dominate the box office.
<v Speaker 2>Of course, studios are looking to cash in on big
<v Speaker 2>video game adaptations, and of course the third one after
<v Speaker 2>those two would be Death Stranding. Not all of them
<v Speaker 2>are wacky features intended for children and family audiences, though,
<v Speaker 2>as a twenty four SEMs to be making some more
<v Speaker 2>mature video game adaptations, including Elder Ring with the Elder
<v Speaker 2>Ring movie with Alex Garland who apparently loves that game,
<v Speaker 2>and the Death Stranding move Speaking with variety, father of
<v Speaker 2>Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima spoke about how involved he would
<v Speaker 2>be in the filmmaking process. He said, I think I
<v Speaker 2>will help produce it. I need to kind of guide
<v Speaker 2>the project, but I can't direct it myself schedule wise.
<v Speaker 2>I made Death Stranding as game, so in order to
<v Speaker 2>turn it into a movie, it'll be something totally different.
<v Speaker 2>But it's my baby, so I would like to overlook
<v Speaker 2>the project. I'm teaming up with A twenty four and
<v Speaker 2>Michael Sarnowski, Yeah, Sonowski, so he will be writing and directing.
<v Speaker 2>I'll let them work on it without too much of
<v Speaker 2>my input because that might get in their way. I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to go in and ask them to make
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of changes. That's not cool.
<v Speaker 1>I have to trust these people, and I trust A
<v Speaker 1>twenty four and Michael. Yeah. I mean, I think that
<v Speaker 1>sounds about right.
<v Speaker 2>I always remember stories about Empire strikes back in Return
<v Speaker 2>of the Jedi, where George Lucas wasn't a director, but
<v Speaker 2>he was always on set and he was like everyone
<v Speaker 2>was looking at him, and that was definitely the idea.
<v Speaker 2>Those were Those were directors for hire, kind of like
<v Speaker 2>doing that job because it, you know, directing Star Wars
<v Speaker 2>almost killed George Lucas so he's like, yeah, everyone's kind
<v Speaker 2>of going to George for answers.
<v Speaker 4>I don't.
<v Speaker 2>That's not the way most things should happen, even if
<v Speaker 2>you're adapting a product for someone else.
<v Speaker 1>Like George R. R.
<v Speaker 2>Martin helped write some of the episodes for a Game
<v Speaker 2>of Thrones, but he didn't have that actually that much
<v Speaker 2>say in the overarching way that the show would work.
<v Speaker 2>The people who were hired to do that did that job.
<v Speaker 2>So that sounds right to be Uh. Do you believe
<v Speaker 2>Kojima that he like this is what he wants for
<v Speaker 2>this game and like he's happy like being hands off.
<v Speaker 4>I believe that's what he wants. But I also believe
<v Speaker 4>that that man can't help himself. You know, he loves
<v Speaker 4>his He's the guy who tweets out his editing timelines
<v Speaker 4>for the trailers for the game, and I can't wait
<v Speaker 4>for him to tweet out the timeline edit of this movie.
<v Speaker 4>It's like, it's like you have to have an ultra
<v Speaker 4>wide monitor to the entire timeline like that. I do
<v Speaker 4>believe him when he says he's not gonna you know,
<v Speaker 4>he's not gonna meddle. He's he'll be there and he'll
<v Speaker 4>you know, he wants to overl but I do think
<v Speaker 4>there's part of me that's like he he wants to
<v Speaker 4>make a movie, so he wants to make movies so bad.
<v Speaker 4>He loves film. Right, He's gonna be there, He's gonna
<v Speaker 4>he's it's that passion in all of us, that that
<v Speaker 4>thing that like we can't help ourselves sometimes of just
<v Speaker 4>wanting to be in the room doing the thing, even
<v Speaker 4>if it's doesn't make sense for our schedule or it's
<v Speaker 4>extra time that we should be relaxing or doing something else. Uh,
<v Speaker 4>he's turning his baby into a movie. He's gonna want
<v Speaker 4>to be there. He's gonna want to be involved in
<v Speaker 4>that process. And I think it's easy to say now
<v Speaker 4>like oh, I'm gonna you know, I'm gonna stay back
<v Speaker 4>this time. I'm gonna I'm gonna chill. And then it's
<v Speaker 4>another thing entirely when the project starts and you start
<v Speaker 4>seeing it come together and everything. I don't think he's gonna,
<v Speaker 4>you know, be making crazy edits or changes, but I
<v Speaker 4>think he'll be more involved than he thinks he's gonna be.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think it's like one of two things.
<v Speaker 2>It's either this thing never gets made or he's kind
<v Speaker 2>of in that Miyamoto position that Miyamoto has been for
<v Speaker 2>the Maria movie and now this is all the movie
<v Speaker 2>and the theme.
<v Speaker 1>Parks where it's like, no, he's like the executive produce.
<v Speaker 2>Sure that does like have boots on the ground and
<v Speaker 2>is providing some insights and maybe has an answer to
<v Speaker 2>a question that the actual filmmakers have about how this
<v Speaker 2>stuff should work. And then we get the final product
<v Speaker 2>and it still feels very made by Hollywood, very like.
<v Speaker 2>It feels very like just made by a team that
<v Speaker 2>is like adapting something. But you could kind of tell that, like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, Miomoto got his shit in and I think
<v Speaker 2>the same thing will be true here. And to me,
<v Speaker 2>that seems like a pretty decent way to make a
<v Speaker 2>video game adaptation.
<v Speaker 1>It's not.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I thought that Mario movie was really made.
<v Speaker 2>It was you know, pre out of five at best,
<v Speaker 2>but whatever, it obviously worked for them.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that, you know, with A.
<v Speaker 2>Twenty four and with Michael Sernowski, I think you have a.
<v Speaker 1>Chance of doing something a little bit better.
<v Speaker 3>But I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I guess the other question death stranding, how adaptable is
<v Speaker 2>that into a film? Like because I never cared to
<v Speaker 2>understand the story. Are you someone who's like really grass
<v Speaker 2>that and understand how it could be a movie?
<v Speaker 4>I feel like in twenty nineteen I had a pretty
<v Speaker 4>good understanding of the story of Death Stranding. In twenty
<v Speaker 4>twenty five less so. However, that being said, death Stranding,
<v Speaker 4>I think, I think there are parts of that game
<v Speaker 4>that make for a good adaptation. I guess it depends
<v Speaker 4>on what they focus on, Like are they doing beat
<v Speaker 4>for beat the game, or are they picking a part
<v Speaker 4>of that world and expanding upon it. Like there's so
<v Speaker 4>many things you could do with such because in a
<v Speaker 4>lot of ways, death Streading is like kind of a
<v Speaker 4>blank canvas. You can kind of pick a place and
<v Speaker 4>just figure out what you want to do. Do you
<v Speaker 4>want to go like a like a ten Cloverfield lane
<v Speaker 4>style where you're just kind of following one person in
<v Speaker 4>a bunker who can't leave. Are you doing the Norman
<v Speaker 4>Retas story. I don't know. I haven't looked too much
<v Speaker 4>into what has been said about this game. That being said,
<v Speaker 4>do we think that any character in that movie shouts
<v Speaker 4>chicken jockey to get that is involved?
<v Speaker 1>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>I think all the characters they just take turns just
<v Speaker 2>coming to can write the screen and yell and chicken jockey,
<v Speaker 2>and that's the way you make a movie successful these days.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I want whatever actor, if it's Norman Readers or
<v Speaker 4>somebody else, to look at the camera and say chicken.
<v Speaker 2>Jockey, h Jesse when we do our our discord uh
<v Speaker 2>activities upf. I also do want a public because you
<v Speaker 2>did this for me in La, but a public rundown
<v Speaker 2>of Italian brain rot, which I know chicken jockey is
<v Speaker 2>not that, but my kids yelled chicken jockey, and they
<v Speaker 2>yell a lot of brain rot at me.
<v Speaker 1>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>And so I want to like go over everything and
<v Speaker 2>just let's educate the people.
<v Speaker 4>You could do the brain Rod hour because I think
<v Speaker 4>the discord activities fit into that. So we can do
<v Speaker 4>the brain ride education session.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, but the whiteboard thing, we could throw a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of things on there. Okay, the Italian brain Rod
<v Speaker 2>Whiteboard Hour.
<v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, uh tuk tuk is that.
<v Speaker 2>The one tung tung tung tung kong tongue tungue, tungue
<v Speaker 2>tung shawar.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know. It's a freaky looking guy.
<v Speaker 2>Here's why HDR might look worse on your switch To.
<v Speaker 2>This is from Haley Williams at GameSpot. The switch To
<v Speaker 2>is Nintendo's first console, the Sport HDR. The implementation of
<v Speaker 2>the feature it leaves much to be desired. Here is
<v Speaker 2>a look at why games on the switch to can
<v Speaker 2>wind up looking worse in HDR and what to do
<v Speaker 2>to fix it. YouTuber hdtv test who is fantastic, has
<v Speaker 2>done a deep dive into the Switch two s HDR
<v Speaker 2>capabilities and settings to discover why HDR is leaving so
<v Speaker 2>many players games looking washed out.
<v Speaker 1>He identified a number of issues.
<v Speaker 2>We've identify number of issues with the way Nintendo has
<v Speaker 2>implemented implemented it's HDR, mostly coming down to confusing UI
<v Speaker 2>and a lack of clear instruction, which is always a
<v Speaker 2>problem with HDR. HDR implementation with that stuff is the worst.
<v Speaker 2>The first issues come from the setting menu that prompts
<v Speaker 2>you to calibrate HDR for a new display and a
<v Speaker 2>familiar screen showing two identical icons. Players are asked to
<v Speaker 2>ADJUSTICE setting until one disappears and the other states visible,
<v Speaker 2>which will set the maximum tone, map luminance or max TML.
<v Speaker 1>Hdtv test has discovered that this setting only works as
<v Speaker 1>a designed as designed.
<v Speaker 2>For displays that support HGIG tone mapping, with results on
<v Speaker 2>non HGIG supported device prone to blowing out. The way
<v Speaker 2>the setting has been implemented is also not ideal. HDTV
<v Speaker 2>test points out with too many minor increments to choose from.
<v Speaker 2>Because the difference between each step is so minor, it
<v Speaker 2>leaves players without a clear choice of which of a
<v Speaker 2>hundred of bread of brightness steps is the right one
<v Speaker 2>for the display. So it's like you press up like
<v Speaker 2>fifteen times and it barely changes, so people feel like
<v Speaker 2>it's not actually responding. HDTV Test also picks up on
<v Speaker 2>somewhat tricky defined paper white setting in the next stage
<v Speaker 2>of configuration, which requires players to press.
<v Speaker 1>An extra button to adjust.
<v Speaker 2>This wouldn't be as much of an issue if the
<v Speaker 2>default configuration wasn't set way too high, which can leave
<v Speaker 2>images looking flat. I had a huge issue getting this
<v Speaker 2>set up when we were in the Airbnb in La.
<v Speaker 1>On that TV, it just looked terrible.
<v Speaker 2>I just had to turn HDR completely off in every
<v Speaker 2>setting I could find. I got home, I had a
<v Speaker 2>little bit of a better scenario there, but it still
<v Speaker 2>did occasionally look a little bit too blown out and
<v Speaker 2>going into that extra step in there to like adjust
<v Speaker 2>things from that point did help quite a bit. Basically, though,
<v Speaker 2>this is one of the many things that just feels like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>this is a new console and they kind of like
<v Speaker 2>didn't do enough testing on some of these things with
<v Speaker 2>real world settings to see what would happen. It's this
<v Speaker 2>there's like some problems with like Street Fighters six, like
<v Speaker 2>trying to output it to one hundred and twenty frames
<v Speaker 2>per second when the game doesn't run that way, and
<v Speaker 2>so it's kind of doubling frames in a weird way.
<v Speaker 2>There's a lot of like small issues that happen when
<v Speaker 2>a console launches that will probably get fixed in firmware
<v Speaker 2>updates here relatively soon. The battery percentage thing as well,
<v Speaker 2>where it's like the battery percentage goes down way faster
<v Speaker 2>than the battery is actually depleting. All this sounds like
<v Speaker 2>in that territory, But yeah, have you had much like
<v Speaker 2>what's been your worst experience with the switch to when
<v Speaker 2>it comes to this kind of stuff.
<v Speaker 4>So I only docked my switch for the first time
<v Speaker 4>like two days ago. I'm primarily playing handled, which is
<v Speaker 4>like very rare for me. I mainly just like didn't
<v Speaker 4>want to set up the DOC. I was just too
<v Speaker 4>lazy and I plugged it in and it seemed off
<v Speaker 4>and I couldn't exactly figure out what the problem was.
<v Speaker 4>It now sounds like it might be this. Yeah, and
<v Speaker 4>so I have to go figure out what HDR said,
<v Speaker 4>figure that out. I know what HDR is, but it's
<v Speaker 4>one of those things of This is my least favorite
<v Speaker 4>part of any piece of technology, is trying to figure
<v Speaker 4>out what looks right versus.
<v Speaker 1>What I want for me. Good, Yeah, because I.
<v Speaker 4>Could I could play something that's like so highly oversaturated
<v Speaker 4>and I'm like, this looks great, Oh my god, look
<v Speaker 4>at all these colors. And then someone comes over it
<v Speaker 4>is like, what is wrong with you? Who? What did
<v Speaker 4>you do to this?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah? Why are you like this thing? Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>Well they ask me that, regardless of if my switch
<v Speaker 4>to TV or not. So yeah, this is this is
<v Speaker 4>my least favorite part of a new console, and plugging
<v Speaker 4>it into different TVs or monitors around my house and
<v Speaker 4>having to figure out what setting works best, and oh
<v Speaker 4>it might just have me undock my switch entirely and
<v Speaker 4>never plug it into a TV again. Honestly.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And that's you're right, that's the worst part. It's
<v Speaker 2>like when I try to set up HDR, it makes
<v Speaker 2>me feel stupid. It makes me feel like I don't
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what right is supposed to be here, and.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>This looks fine and I turn it up and go
<v Speaker 2>down a bunch of notches. It's like, I guess this
<v Speaker 2>also looks fine. It's brighter that good. I just don't like, like, hey,
<v Speaker 2>dial it in so it looks right and say, I
<v Speaker 2>have no idea what I should be doing.
<v Speaker 1>Should I be holding up a white piece of paper
<v Speaker 1>next to this? Is this is what you want me
<v Speaker 1>to do? It doesn't say that in the instructions. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. It's it's a little bit odd.
<v Speaker 2>And and the fact that like the switch to implementation
<v Speaker 2>is actually even slightly worse than a lot of other
<v Speaker 2>HDR implementations, yeah, not surprising to me. Nintendo will have
<v Speaker 2>to work out the kinks there if they do, or
<v Speaker 2>maybe they'll just leave us to figure it out on
<v Speaker 2>our own. Either way, though, it's like again part of
<v Speaker 2>a bucket of problems that, like, I think we'll get
<v Speaker 2>sorted out over time. But this is definitely growing pains
<v Speaker 2>for a new console. And as far as growing pains go.
<v Speaker 2>I think Switch two doesn't have too many or too
<v Speaker 2>They're not too glaring overall, other than the glaring rightness
<v Speaker 2>of HDR.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I haven't had too many issues with my switch Like.
<v Speaker 4>I feel like could do what I wanted to do
<v Speaker 4>with boot it up and played Mario Kart and I
<v Speaker 4>didn't really think twice about it after that.
<v Speaker 2>But don't put this cartridge in your Nintendo switch To
<v Speaker 2>or it'll be banned from online. This is from Blair
<v Speaker 2>Marnell at GameSpot. Switch two hasn't even been out a
<v Speaker 2>month yet, but Nintendo has already taken strong measures to
<v Speaker 2>make sure pirates can't use the company's new console. Switch
<v Speaker 2>To owners are sharing stories online that their systems have
<v Speaker 2>been banned after using a third party cartridge that some
<v Speaker 2>players have reportedly used for illegal ROMs. Reportedly, as reported
<v Speaker 2>by The Verge, Nintendo has been targeting systems that have
<v Speaker 2>used a Midi Switch cartridge, which can store ROMs that
<v Speaker 2>were either illicitly obtained or downloaded from players personal libraries.
<v Speaker 2>Antendo doesn't appear to have drawn a distinction about how
<v Speaker 2>the ROMs ended up in the player's hands, So you know,
<v Speaker 2>I think technically you're allowed to have backups of your
<v Speaker 2>own games.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, although we.
<v Speaker 2>All know the MiG switch and things like this, the
<v Speaker 2>R four back on the ds were just used for
<v Speaker 2>people to get games for free and play on there. Like, well,
<v Speaker 2>let's be real, we know that's what's happening there. But
<v Speaker 2>you know, legally, maybe Nintendo would be in trouble here
<v Speaker 2>if someone like tried to suit them and say, hey,
<v Speaker 2>I was playing my backed up games and you stopped
<v Speaker 2>me here.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo doesn't seem to.
<v Speaker 2>Care, and I bet they have the lawyers that would
<v Speaker 2>kind of get them out of any of those situations.
<v Speaker 1>So again, they don't care.
<v Speaker 2>But this is one of the things people were like
<v Speaker 2>worried about, like, oh yeah, they could just you know,
<v Speaker 2>turn your switch to off or block you from online.
<v Speaker 2>And this is something that's been happening for a long time.
<v Speaker 2>I remember Xbox three sixty was a very popular console
<v Speaker 2>to hack, and my friend had a hacked Xbox three sixty.
<v Speaker 2>He was playing you know, Call of Duty one time,
<v Speaker 2>and you know, it was a burnt DVD version of
<v Speaker 2>Call of Duty and it just stopped working and he
<v Speaker 2>could not take it online anymore. And then that Xbox
<v Speaker 2>three sixty was marked as like, this won't work online.
<v Speaker 1>You can sign them with another account, whatever, it doesn't matter.
<v Speaker 2>The serial number has been banned, and so even if
<v Speaker 2>you try to sell it, it's like you'd you either
<v Speaker 2>have to pull one on someone or they would ask, hey,
<v Speaker 2>can I see it work online? And well, it doesn't
<v Speaker 2>actually work online.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>I'm kind of like of two minds of this as well,
<v Speaker 2>where it's like I get it where Nintendo's coming from,
<v Speaker 2>just like, hey, let's come down with the hammer. I
<v Speaker 2>think they are really worried about what happened with the
<v Speaker 2>switch one and piracy there near the end, and they
<v Speaker 2>don't want that to sort of pick up where it
<v Speaker 2>left off. They understand it will happen eventually, Jesse, but
<v Speaker 2>I think they're trying to like prolong it as long
<v Speaker 2>as possible.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think that this helps them do that?
<v Speaker 4>I mean it helps them a little bit. But if
<v Speaker 4>I've learned anything about people who do these things, they're
<v Speaker 4>always going to figure it out. And the more elaborate
<v Speaker 4>you make this solution, it doesn't change the end result.
<v Speaker 4>They're always going to figure this out. This is coming
<v Speaker 4>from somebody who used to have like fifteen j tagged
<v Speaker 4>Xbox three sixties in their their house growing like it's
<v Speaker 4>it's never as difficult as like whether it's Nintendo or Microsoft,
<v Speaker 4>like think it's going to be for these people. They're
<v Speaker 4>going to find a way to do it, and then
<v Speaker 4>they're going to find a way to make that process
<v Speaker 4>incredibly simple over time. So sure, maybe you get a
<v Speaker 4>year out of them, six months out of them before
<v Speaker 4>they figure out how to do all of this and
<v Speaker 4>get around it. But like, at a certain point, what
<v Speaker 4>what's the point I get You got to protect your
<v Speaker 4>your brand to the best of your ability, You've got
<v Speaker 4>to protect your content. But yeah, it's it's like it's
<v Speaker 4>two different markets that are not like they're not competing
<v Speaker 4>with each other. You know. It's like the people who
<v Speaker 4>are gonna, you know, do what they're gonna do, are
<v Speaker 4>gonna do that regardless whether you make it difficult for
<v Speaker 4>them or not. And the people that are gonna buy
<v Speaker 4>a million copies of Animal Crossing are gonna buy a
<v Speaker 4>million copies of Animal Crossing, Like you're not They're not
<v Speaker 4>cut into sales the way you think they're cutting into sales.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, not to that degree, for sure. You know, there's
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure there's a point where it's like it flips
<v Speaker 2>over and it becomes so easy that it becomes the default.
<v Speaker 1>And people are just like, well, why would I pay
<v Speaker 1>for games from online?
<v Speaker 4>Then, And that's that's what you do. You don't you
<v Speaker 4>don't brick their switch or do any of the more
<v Speaker 4>aggressive things like oh, you can't play online, you're playing
<v Speaker 4>with a copy that is illegal.
<v Speaker 2>And I think that's actually you know, the people that
<v Speaker 2>want to play online actually are a pretty large audience
<v Speaker 2>on They're a larger audience a lot of other platforms.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure still pretty large on Nintendo platforms, but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I just think they're like trying to like run interference
<v Speaker 2>so it doesn't become as easy as like, you know,
<v Speaker 2>three DS dot hacks, dot guide, Like that's like a
<v Speaker 2>thing that people have memorized. They just throw it out there,
<v Speaker 2>like you should hack your three DS, and you should.
<v Speaker 1>It's fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>It's a really great way to like have a three
<v Speaker 2>DS now, especially because they don't have any shop anymore. Well,
<v Speaker 2>there's ways to get around that, and it's you know,
<v Speaker 2>it's a deprecated platform. So yeah, three DS dot hacks,
<v Speaker 2>dot guy, they don't want switch dot hacks dot the
<v Speaker 2>switch to dot hacks dot guy thing to be out
<v Speaker 2>there tomorrow. They wanted to be out there in like
<v Speaker 2>four fourish years before. It's like really refined the way
<v Speaker 2>that the three DS one is. And yeah, I get it.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's a big reason why they took their
<v Speaker 2>time with the switch to is to make sure that
<v Speaker 2>they had these things all lined up, the anti piracy
<v Speaker 2>elements and we'll see. You're right, though, they always find
<v Speaker 2>a way and that they're gonna have to deal with it.
<v Speaker 2>But you're right, just ban the online and I think
<v Speaker 2>that's a good solution here.
<v Speaker 1>All right.
<v Speaker 2>Rematch, Yes, Rematch scores nearly one hundred thousand concurrent players
<v Speaker 2>in its first day on Steam. This is from Alex
<v Speaker 2>Hoppy on games Radar. But that's the story, is the
<v Speaker 2>headline there. This is a new game. It's on game Pass,
<v Speaker 2>so I guess that's the other side of it's one
<v Speaker 2>hundred thousand on Steam despite also being available on game Pass.
<v Speaker 1>I have been playing this game.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's pretty good, although I do find myself
<v Speaker 2>thinking would I rather be playing Rock League? And that's
<v Speaker 2>I think that's just where I'm at, not that I'm
<v Speaker 2>not enjoying rematch, I am, but it's like there's something simple,
<v Speaker 2>you know.
<v Speaker 1>It's the limitations. You're a car. You can only do
<v Speaker 1>so much.
<v Speaker 2>You can't do a rainbow kick, and if you can,
<v Speaker 2>it's because you got really good at the very limited
<v Speaker 2>mooseset that you have here. You go fast, you run,
<v Speaker 2>you jump, you boost. Here it's like, well, you know,
<v Speaker 2>do you want to press LB and the pass button
<v Speaker 2>so you do like a lob pass or all that stuff,
<v Speaker 2>And that's quite a bit.
<v Speaker 1>It's a bit more so. Maybe I'm just in that
<v Speaker 1>learning curve where.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, oh, I don't feel as capable in this
<v Speaker 2>game as I do in something like Rocket League. I'll
<v Speaker 2>tell you what I do like about it, Playing goalie.
<v Speaker 2>Playing goalie and Rocket League is kind of like almost
<v Speaker 2>a waste of resources. You want to be rotating frequently
<v Speaker 2>playing light defense, but the best of the best defense
<v Speaker 2>in Rocket League is a good attack here. It's like, man,
<v Speaker 2>playing goalie is fun, trying to respond to the kicks
<v Speaker 2>and stuff like that. I was enjoying that. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not surprised this game is doing very well. It
<v Speaker 2>feels like it really fills a niche for sports games
<v Speaker 2>that have just been missing for a long time, which
<v Speaker 2>is like a more arcadie, more multiplayer focused one than
<v Speaker 2>the FIFA Sims or the FIFA Ultimate Teams.
<v Speaker 1>Have you spend any time with Rematch?
<v Speaker 4>I have not played it myself yet, but my roommate's
<v Speaker 4>been playing it, and so I've been watching him for
<v Speaker 4>the last like day and a half. Get really frustrated
<v Speaker 4>as he plays this game rightfully, so, but it makes
<v Speaker 4>a lot of sense, right It's the Seafood and Absolver
<v Speaker 4>devs like. Of course the game is going to have
<v Speaker 4>some sort of like pretty steep learning curve at first,
<v Speaker 4>but I think that's where this game is really going
<v Speaker 4>to shine, and that's what I'm excited about. And I
<v Speaker 4>want to hop into it this weekend when I have
<v Speaker 4>some time. But I think that unlike Rocket League, it
<v Speaker 4>is it's got I don't want to say that Rocke
<v Speaker 4>League doesn't have tech because I've watched a lot of
<v Speaker 4>high tier Rocket League and there's some really incredible stuff
<v Speaker 4>that goes on. But I think what Rematch is going
<v Speaker 4>to eventually evolve into is going to be really fascinating
<v Speaker 4>to watch because I think you're going to watch a
<v Speaker 4>bunch of people who are like really good at a
<v Speaker 4>fighting game compete in a soccer match, do you know
<v Speaker 4>what I mean? And like, that's going to be really
<v Speaker 4>fascinating to and just the brief bits that I've watched
<v Speaker 4>with my roommate I has me excited to play. I
<v Speaker 4>seem to like the I think the three v three
<v Speaker 4>mode looks a little bit better than the five v
<v Speaker 4>five mode. That seems a little much for me. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>but I'm curious. I'm curious to see how this game
<v Speaker 4>shakes out over time, because obviously Rocket League's been around
<v Speaker 4>for like a decade at this point, and I'm surprised
<v Speaker 4>we didn't have more games in that vein, Yeah, because
<v Speaker 4>Rocky League is obviously aping from football or soccer, and
<v Speaker 4>now we just have that. And there are some people
<v Speaker 4>being like, oh, it's Rocket League without the car, and
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, I can't tell if you're trolling me or not.
<v Speaker 4>That's just football, man.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but I kind of get the idea there where
<v Speaker 2>it's like, because you know, Rematch definitely like looks and
<v Speaker 2>presents like Rocket League and sort of has the same
<v Speaker 2>language of design. And it's like, yeah, you're right, why
<v Speaker 2>didn't we get several more of these? And you know,
<v Speaker 2>I think soccer continues to be the one that really
<v Speaker 2>does fit with this style very well, being able to
<v Speaker 2>track a ball and the ball is like not always
<v Speaker 2>like connected to another person. Like I think you could
<v Speaker 2>do this with like basketball, I think it'll be it
<v Speaker 2>would be much more challenging. There's there's that the hockey one,
<v Speaker 2>that first person hockey game we played a while back.
<v Speaker 2>That's not exactly the same thing, but it's like that
<v Speaker 2>was also very challenging. That's one was more like clop
<v Speaker 2>because you had exact control over your stick and stuff
<v Speaker 2>like that. It's very challenging. But it's like, yeah, even
<v Speaker 2>that would be a little bit more difficult. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I would like to see more sports games try this.
<v Speaker 2>And even like it's like it's it's an arena fighter,
<v Speaker 2>like you said, like, yeah, it's an arena fighter, but
<v Speaker 2>for sports. And I just think that's a good idea
<v Speaker 2>and it's a good fit and I'm glad we're getting
<v Speaker 2>these two variations on it.
<v Speaker 1>At least.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's very tactile.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right, let's see here rumor and screens appear
<v Speaker 2>stating that Crash Team Racing is getting.
<v Speaker 1>A big update. A new rumor is doing the rounds.
<v Speaker 2>The team at Microsoft and Activision is preparing a big
<v Speaker 2>new Crash Team Racing update for the current generation consoles.
<v Speaker 2>It is titled Crash excuse me, Crash Team Racing Nitro
<v Speaker 2>Fueled Grand Prix Edition so C T R N F
<v Speaker 2>GP E.
<v Speaker 1>That's going to be.
<v Speaker 4>Tacking on just more words. You're making a whole sentence
<v Speaker 4>at this point.
<v Speaker 2>What's the craziest one to you? Because I got mine
<v Speaker 2>in my head? Do you have one that comes to mind?
<v Speaker 4>Because I like Bowser's Inside Story Plus or Baby, Bowser
<v Speaker 4>Juniors whatever, whatever that game is, Bowser Baby, is it
<v Speaker 4>Bowser's Inside Journey plus, Bowser Juniors something Journey?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Anytime they put a plus sign in the title, you've
<v Speaker 4>really got me hooked.
<v Speaker 1>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>This is the official title for a game that will
<v Speaker 2>be updated and it will be referred to this for
<v Speaker 2>the Switch to Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch To
<v Speaker 2>Edition plus Jamboree TV.
<v Speaker 1>That's the full name of the game.
<v Speaker 4>This is what I'm saying. Anytime you put a plus
<v Speaker 4>sign plus JAMBOREETV, there's longest video game title.
<v Speaker 2>Meanwhile, Crash Team Racing Nitrofield Grand Pre Edition is Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>the source thing, blad blah blah. The only interesting is
<v Speaker 2>that Microsoft and Activision provided updates, updated sales numbers for
<v Speaker 2>Crash Team Racing completely out of the blue the other day.
<v Speaker 2>Fingers crossed at this particular rumor is legitimate, but has
<v Speaker 2>always stay tuned. Here's how it goes. I work for
<v Speaker 2>a small studio under Activision and Microsoft. We were assigned
<v Speaker 2>this project months ago. I made a Reddit account while
<v Speaker 2>using a VPN just to cover my ass. I probably
<v Speaker 2>shouldn't be sharing this information given the NDA I had
<v Speaker 2>to sign, but here goes nothing. I have attached a
<v Speaker 2>few pictures I took with some of the things I'm
<v Speaker 2>talking about. It'll be coming to PC in early twenty
<v Speaker 2>twenty six. It's weird it never came to PC in
<v Speaker 2>the first place. Yeah, I'm not sure if it will
<v Speaker 2>be on Steam, but it will one hundred percent be
<v Speaker 2>available on Xbox Game Pass for PC users. A few
<v Speaker 2>new characters have been added as a thank you to fans.
<v Speaker 2>The original bnox team has absolutely no hands on what
<v Speaker 2>we did with this rears. We did not tweak gameplay
<v Speaker 2>other than adding a reserve meter. They were nice nice
<v Speaker 2>enough to give us their notes and information about the code,
<v Speaker 2>and that was all the contact we had. This is
<v Speaker 2>one There is one new track and it will be
<v Speaker 2>released with a Grand Prix along with the new characters
<v Speaker 2>to unlock Justice, just the same as it was when
<v Speaker 2>the game was first released. I'm not sure if there's
<v Speaker 2>plans for more than one Grand Prix at this time.
<v Speaker 2>I will get a proper release on PS five Xbox
<v Speaker 2>Series X and switch to for forty dollars. It will
<v Speaker 2>not just be a port. The game will be fully
<v Speaker 2>fully cross play, So there you go. I Hey, Crash
<v Speaker 2>Team Racing is a good car racer.
<v Speaker 1>I've always liked it.
<v Speaker 2>One of my first dates ever was in my friend's
<v Speaker 2>basement and the girl came over. She wanted to play
<v Speaker 2>Mario Kart and while we had was Crash Team Racing
<v Speaker 2>and you know what, Jesse, it did the trick, it did,
<v Speaker 2>It got the job done.
<v Speaker 4>So here that Crash Team Racing does the trick.
<v Speaker 2>It does the trick, and you know it. So it's
<v Speaker 2>got a place in my heart for that forever. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and it's I kind of I'm at a point where
<v Speaker 2>it's why don't they do more with this?
<v Speaker 1>So does this sound right to you?
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it sounds a little weird to revisit it now,
<v Speaker 4>but like, sure, yeah, why not. I guess it's never
<v Speaker 4>too late to revisit a game that people like. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>it came back after a very long absence when they
<v Speaker 4>made nitro fueled or whatever, so yeah, bring it back.
<v Speaker 4>I do have one note, though, if you're going to
<v Speaker 4>share something online secretly, don't acknowledge that you signed an NDA.
<v Speaker 4>Never say that publicly.
<v Speaker 1>Mm hmm, just bad practice.
<v Speaker 2>In fact, lie and say you didn't so they don't
<v Speaker 2>go look at all the names of everyone who signed
<v Speaker 2>an NDA and began to reverse engineer what happened here. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so I honestly, Jesse, that's the one thing that makes
<v Speaker 2>me think, is this not true?
<v Speaker 1>But it's like, man, what it's like.
<v Speaker 2>I guess people have all a million reasons to lie
<v Speaker 2>about anything.
<v Speaker 4>It's such a loadstakes thing for me, like, if it's real, cool,
<v Speaker 4>I'm excited. If it's not real, so okay, doesn't which
<v Speaker 4>is why it makes me believe it is kind of real,
<v Speaker 4>because it's like, it's what a weird thing for you
<v Speaker 4>to lie about? But I guess people have lied about
<v Speaker 4>weirder things.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly, so I'm right there with you on that. Let's
<v Speaker 2>operate under the assumption that it's real.
<v Speaker 1>Though.
<v Speaker 2>I think that is what probably happened is Microsoft, while
<v Speaker 2>it's working with all these other companies that it's acquired,
<v Speaker 2>it's like, Okay, we have some games that did pretty well,
<v Speaker 2>that's sold really well under Activision, and then they were like, well,
<v Speaker 2>we don't care about.
<v Speaker 1>That, we want everyone there. We'll go work on call
<v Speaker 1>of Duty.
<v Speaker 2>So now that we own you, let's reassess Tony Hawk's
<v Speaker 2>pro Skiter one plus two best selling Tony Hawk game. Ever,
<v Speaker 2>why don't we do another one of those Crash Team Racing.
<v Speaker 2>That game sold really well. Do we have the capacity
<v Speaker 2>to make another one of those? Well not right now,
<v Speaker 2>but this game never came out the PC. Why don't
<v Speaker 2>we just kind of do a little extra work and
<v Speaker 2>get that up there and then we'll do something with
<v Speaker 2>Crash Team Racing again in the future. To me, that
<v Speaker 2>sounds like exactly what happened here. Hopefully I means they're
<v Speaker 2>doing that with a bunch of other games as well,
<v Speaker 2>But those two especially did succeed, and it's like, why
<v Speaker 2>not just do something with them? So I think this
<v Speaker 2>is in the same vein as a three plus four
<v Speaker 2>for Tony Hawk.
<v Speaker 4>Diversify that portfolio, have some more stuff to it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh that shit in game pass. You still care about that? Right?
<v Speaker 1>I think I don't know who knows anymore?
<v Speaker 4>But people care? I think I don't. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know anymore.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, Crash Team Rumble was a huge hit, says rich
<v Speaker 2>Bata games right, right, not that one, but Crash Team
<v Speaker 2>Racing though, go play that.
<v Speaker 4>I do have the longest title of a video game ever.
<v Speaker 4>According to Yes, it.
<v Speaker 1>Was distracted while you look that up.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Jesse Vittelli, please present the game Best Morning's Audience
<v Speaker 2>with the longest video game title.
<v Speaker 4>According to the Guinness Book of World Records from twenty eleven,
<v Speaker 4>the longest title for a video game in English is
<v Speaker 4>Cthulhu Saves the World Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha
<v Speaker 4>Diamond d X plus Alpha FEZ HD Premium Enhanced Game
<v Speaker 4>of the Year Collector's Edition parentheses without avatar.
<v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, what is that for? Do we know?
<v Speaker 2>Never mind, it's got to be either a mobile game
<v Speaker 2>or okay, I bet iOS game or some shit whatever.
<v Speaker 4>Cthulhu Saves the World is on. That's the longest title.
<v Speaker 4>There's some version of it that has fifty two syllables.
<v Speaker 2>All right, let's get to the poll question, which I
<v Speaker 2>did get eventually posted this morning.
<v Speaker 1>This one does come from yesterday's show. Uh, let's see him,
<v Speaker 1>we refreshed.
<v Speaker 2>Did you buy any non Nintendo slash, you know, third
<v Speaker 2>party games for.
<v Speaker 1>Your switch to? I got the results here.
<v Speaker 2>Twenty six percent said yes, twenty seven percent said no,
<v Speaker 2>and forty six percent said I don't have a switch to.
<v Speaker 2>So about fifty percent of people who have a switch to,
<v Speaker 2>according to these results, did buy a third party game
<v Speaker 2>for their switch to, and say, you should probably.
<v Speaker 3>Have to see semen at some point.
<v Speaker 5>Oh my god, these fake gamers don't know Casthulhu saves
<v Speaker 5>the world long it's an RPG maker game.
<v Speaker 2>It sounds familiar, but I mean, if it's very nerved,
<v Speaker 2>it's then of course I don't know about it.
<v Speaker 4>Is he just sitting here waiting to find a reason
<v Speaker 4>to hop in this call.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, he clearly just set that as his entry it's name,
<v Speaker 2>and he just wants to keep doing it.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. Follow up questions, Yeah, it was like Barbie ge Maker.
<v Speaker 3>Then those guys like helped make episode three and four.
<v Speaker 3>Of those penny Arcade RPG.
<v Speaker 1>That's right.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's right, Yeah, those guys. Yeah, goodbye. I love you.
<v Speaker 4>I love you too, love you too.
<v Speaker 1>I think so.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean until I got cop in its blood.
<v Speaker 2>His grandpa was a cop and killed a dog or something,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, and.
<v Speaker 4>He didn't like your shirt.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, he said it.
<v Speaker 2>He really damp uh huh, I think you got him.
<v Speaker 2>All right, we got a new pol question. We'll get
<v Speaker 2>to that here in a second. Before we do that,
<v Speaker 2>Jesse Vittelli, why don't you tell us where we can
<v Speaker 2>find you on the internet, what you have going on
<v Speaker 2>and all that good stuff.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so you can find me on Blue Sky at
<v Speaker 4>Mama Vitelli dot Besky dot social Uh. If you google
<v Speaker 4>my name pretty much anywhere. I think I have the
<v Speaker 4>best se O of any Jesse Vitelli on the internet,
<v Speaker 4>you will likely find me somewhere.
<v Speaker 1>I mainly your.
<v Speaker 2>Tips to help me out with my se O for
<v Speaker 2>Jeff Grubb, because I keep getting mixed up with the
<v Speaker 2>old man.
<v Speaker 4>You have to just get rid of him. That's the
<v Speaker 4>all I'm sorry, that's the only way, all right, I
<v Speaker 4>did to get rid of all the other Jessevielli's on
<v Speaker 4>the internet, but yeah, you can find me mainly on
<v Speaker 4>Blue Sky on Instagram. That's kind of where I chill.
<v Speaker 4>I have a newsletter called send News, which is just
<v Speaker 4>kind of about my life, just things that happen, some weird,
<v Speaker 4>random Internet bullshit that I find. So if you are
<v Speaker 4>like Jeff Grubb and want to learn about Italian brain rot,
<v Speaker 4>you could go to my newsletter and maybe one week
<v Speaker 4>it'll be about Italian brain rot. Who's to say I
<v Speaker 4>haven't posted in two weeks, don't hold that against me.
<v Speaker 4>You can also find me doing stuff over at restart
<v Speaker 4>dot run, doing a lot of their social stuff and
<v Speaker 4>writing over there. I might have some stuff going up
<v Speaker 4>next week over there, so if you want to check
<v Speaker 4>that out, that's always cool. You can find that at
<v Speaker 4>restart dot run, on Blue Sky, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.

<v Speaker 4>it's pinned to my profile if you want to sign.
<v Speaker 1>Up for that. There you go.
<v Speaker 2>People always say their newsletter and then they describe it afterwards,
<v Speaker 2>and then by the time they get the end, I
<v Speaker 2>forget what it is. So I ask for them to
<v Speaker 2>repeat it, so they have to go to the Blue
<v Speaker 2>Sky Acount everybody to find it there. All right, new
<v Speaker 2>pole question, when do you think Metroid Prime four is out?
<v Speaker 1>Now?
<v Speaker 2>Summer fall or holiday? Those are the options I'm giving you.
<v Speaker 2>Those sound right? I mean, what's the point of like
<v Speaker 2>just picking a month at this point, because that really
<v Speaker 2>we have no idea. But now summer fall, holiday, I
<v Speaker 2>think everyone kind of gets has an idea of what
<v Speaker 2>does mean. We will put that up on Giant Bomb's
<v Speaker 2>YouTube channel. There's a little post thing. I don't think
<v Speaker 2>they got rid. They don't call it communit anymore. It's
<v Speaker 2>called post or posts. Click that find it there, vote,
<v Speaker 2>we'll get the results. We will talk about it on
<v Speaker 2>Game Mess Mornings here on Giant Bomb.

<v Speaker 2>fourth everybody. But next week I'm here and my probably
<v Speaker 2>should be here for most of the week after that actually,
<v Speaker 2>and we'll get because the fourth is a Friday, So.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, no worries yet.
<v Speaker 2>In the meantime though, as we get the results and
<v Speaker 2>talk about it on Game mess mornings here on Giant Bomb.
<v Speaker 2>As far as Giant Bomb goes, we will let's see
<v Speaker 2>here we're gonna have upf where we're gonna play some
<v Speaker 2>firebreak and then if that like doesn't do anything for
<v Speaker 2>us and we get bored, we.
<v Speaker 1>Have some other ideas in mind.
<v Speaker 2>We'll probably hop around and play some other things and then,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we do have some time between now and then.
<v Speaker 2>We have some housekeeping to take care of. But I
<v Speaker 2>might I might throw something up on the site. There's
<v Speaker 2>a couple of things I've been meaning to play, so
<v Speaker 2>we'll see. It's gonna be a chill Friday. Thanks everybody
