Ep:74 The Bigfoot of Booger Bottoms
There's a bigfoot hotbed in Oklahoma that locals know as 'ground zero' for sasquatch activity, and my guest Kurt Moser joins me to talk about some of his experiences that will blow your mind. From bigfoot to UFO's, there's high strangeness going on in the Booger Bottoms.

I'd like welcome my friend, longtime colleagues, someone I've known for a very long time, mister Kurt Moser. Welcome to Bigfoot Crossroads. Sir, well, thank you very much, glad to be here. Man, I was thinking just earlier today. I've known you and known of you since the beginning. You know, we met through mutual big footing friends Dan and Vicky, and a lot of the stories that I know through them and about this particular area of Oklahoma that we're going to be talking about. You know, those stories as well or better than anybody. People find it kind of hard to believe, you know. Obviously, whenever you think of Bigfoot or Sasquatch or whatever name you want to apply to it, most people's brains immediately go to the Pacific Northwest, and to try to explain to them that there's this area in Oklahoma that probably has more sightings and more activity than the entire Pacific Northwest, they just they refuse to believe it. How often do you think there are sightings of these things in this part of Oklahoma? Well, of course that's started back early two thousand, I guess actually researching. But my first, my first sighting of what I first thought was a gorilla squatted on the side of the road back in nineteen seventy five. And even you know, even before then, you know, like like you said, just always thought this is in the Pacific Northwest, you know, not never around here. But when I saw that thing about eleven thirty one night, squatting on the side of the road, I thought, what in the world's going on? And so I really just didn't didn't think of it much more after that, except having just experiences out fishing by yourself, just hearing certain whistles, and you know, over you know, over the years of researching, I'm thinking now, you know, and hearing everybody else's stories from around the country, the whistles and the hoops and things like, I'm thinking, okay, there may be right around that area. And then of course over time hearing people's stories, they're they're not all lying people. The county, you know, is not full of liars. You know, people are seeing something out there, and some some people are talking about it, some people won't. So there's probably a whole lot more sightings out there than you realize or probably could even comprehend. Really, you know, in this area we're talking about well, I know, especially with you being from that area and knowing the people down there, a lot of the people that you hear stories from and that you meet you became friends with. Yes, So it wasn't just you know, reading a report on the internet. You're talking to these people on a regular basis. These are your friends and you're hearing stories, whereas from them, you're hearing the stories that they're hearing from other people. And I got to be honest, man, whenever I first started hearing these stories, you know, from dan Uh, it just blew my mind. I was like, there's just no way. And then once you start going down there and start experiencing things for yourself, I mean, it's just kind of mind blowing. Yeah. And it's and it's thought just did one little certain area. It's it's it's like over the whole the whole area, and you know, multiple multiple places. You know. It's which gets me thinking that first you don't got to think, Okay, just think just one thing, just roaming the area, you know whatever. But you know, over the last you know, a couple of decades that I've been doing, is there's there's multiple big foots down there. They just I think they territorialize themselves. And because I get like, on one certain night, if you're real lucky, you'll get action wherever you go, you know, And you know, I just don't think a big foot could cross the creeks and the valleys and the ravines and stuff to keep up with you and going and bother you. And you've gone to another location. And we're not talking about an area that just has vast expanses of forest, no, I mean, this is mostly like open country with these canyons basically, and in the canyons and you know, the lower areas around the creeks and stuff, that's where you find the trees. But do you think they're just following the trees and the creeks and the canyons, or are they cutting across open land? What do you think's going on? Because you know, Dan and Vicky, for instance, are mutual friends. They had a house that was I mean, it might as well been in the middle of a field, right and their primary research location was just right down the road from them, but they had activity happening up around their house. Well, I think it. I think they're smart, they're smart creatures. I think during the day they I think they stay along the tree lines and the ravines, you know, because that's we're talking double triple canopy stuff. You know, when you get down in the beans, you can you can see that on Google Earth. You know, it's just you know, But I think at night it's when they I think they come out and get out into the open, you know, and raid dumpsters or whatever whatever they do, or chase coyotes and you know, whatever whatever they do, hogs, whatever, it's at night out in the open, I think, And so I think they stay. I think they kind of laid and travel close to tree lines because the stories I've heard, you know, people have told me and stuff is whenever they see him in broad daylight, they are they are just inside a tree line. Yeah, you know, they're not out in the wide open. But with that being said, our old friend Randy, before he before he passed away, well as after he passed away, actually, but before he passed away, we knew, we knew of this. But he does have what is allegedly a big foot out in an open field in broad daylight. But it's not in a congested part of town. It's it's out in the country, you know, where it's kind of sparsely populated, so, you know, but I think I think more, you know, during the day, I think they stay close to the tree lines and the and the rivers to travel. You know. That's just my opinion, you know, but that's based on my research over the last couple of decades. Well, let's talk about some of the stories. People love the stories. I love the stories. What's some of the the bigger stories that stand out in your mind that really got your juices flowing from that area? Oh, gosh, it's there's there's I don't even know where to begin. Of course, after Vicki had moved back to Tennessee and and so Dan was still working, and so he went. It's like one of the last couple of of times that we went out together. We had gone down to the bottoms. You know, you're familiar with the bottoms stuff, and this what's probably my favorite place to go. And uh, we were there, Dan and I think you Bates might have been the last time. Anyway, this is something that we that we had gotten on a recorder on my voice recorder. We parked there and and the county had just started pushing the tree line back a little bit from the road and you know, in the past, you know, the tree line came right up to the road. I mean you just had maybe a car's width of a place to park on the side of the road, and then you had tree branches hitting your car. You know that, you know, you remember that it's back back then. And so anyway, the county had started kind of pushing some of the tree line back and they had left some tree piles, and so we had parked off the road and we're sitting there and we got out and uh, we were just kind of leaned up on the on my truck, and all of a sudden, we hear this what sounded like a ten can. It hit behind us, you know, like a like a gallon coffee can or something like that, you know, little metal ones, you know, you hear that metallic thud? Is that throop? You know, it hits the ground and we're going, okay, what's that? You know, what did that? And so Dan said, after a little bit, he said, you got your flashlight with you? I said yeah, And he took his nine minimeter with us, you know, just for protection not from big Foot, but from you know, hogs or whatever. And he says, if it steps from around that tree pile, he said, you light him up and I'll poke m I said, okay, because we were that close. I mean we were talking where the trip pickup was to the tree that that tree pile was probably ten feet. So yeah, we were that close. And so we never did ever hear anything after that, and we we'd walk, you know, walked up and down the road a little bit, you know, stuff for like another hour and a half, two hours after that, and nothing happened. All this time. I had my Force recorder going, and I get back and I start playing this stuff on the The voice recorder never picked up the ten town sound. It picked up this language, and then the Vorce recorder the other stuff going on like like little like little bitty last week, we're hearing this, you know, that was about the same time when we heard that ten can and my voce requard Weland Dan says, he goes back to the truck to get He goes back into the truck to get his nine millimeter and he pulls the slide back on that nine millimeter and you can hear the slide going back, and then Divorce recorder on the Vorce recorder, you hear this gasp like a and then you hear in broken English, you hear old eun And to me it sounded like it said, oh he's got a gun. Wow. And so then after that we kept hearing this and I'm not going to say the F word, but you could hear this. F them both, Okay, Now both to me means two of us, Me and Dan. Yeah, f them both, them both. I mean, this was getting sinister, whatever this was, and I was getting I was getting chill bumps, and I was getting creeped out listening to it on the Vorce recorder. And you didn't hear any of this in person, just on the recorder, just on the recorder. Now, you know, Matt, that's a place down there where you can be there. You can pull up and nothing happened all night long. But you could get up there at certain times and pull up and then you're you're leaving within five minutes because something's coming up around you. You know you've been there, you've experienced that this is the same place. And when I heard that on the record, it just it just really flipped me out. And and Dan couldn't believe it either. When he heard it. Well, I had sent this recorder off to a guy in Alabama and his name was Mike McClain, and it is before he passed away. He has he had a lot of I guess some some good recording type analyzing voice you know. Yeah, he had some software that was pretty good, right, yeah, And so this is this is all the stuff that he had highlighted and pointed out to me and sent it back to me. And some of the stuff that you know, his his software picked up stuff that I didn't hear with my own ear so I was hearing it. I mean, and I've got that. I've got that on thumb drive somewhere. But anyway, so you know that happened. And then of course here the last three three or four years there, I mean every time you go, which is it's like a different experience. You know, when you get that experience, it's something different. It's it's not the same old you do a call, you get a response, it's nothing like that. Sometimes you get more in your bargained for the place. That always bothered The reason that place kind of bothered me was it seemed like any time that there was activity going on down there, they would come in really close. They didn't have a problem with coming right up close to you and being kind of aggressive. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sometimes yeah. And so this one particular time Steve and I went. Then Steve get he's a he's a real good Gays Native American Catto, and he knows a lot of people that knows a lot of stories. And uh, you know, because he's they're all they're they're all tribal and inner tribal down there, and so they talk amongst themselves, but they keep it to themselves until they trust you. And so some of them got to where they trust me, and so they come out with some stories. But anyway, Steve and I one night we were there and by this time they had pushed the tree line back quite a ways, probably a hundred foot, and then then the Johnson grass took off and got tall. And we're there, same place we get out, and uh, Steve's got a keen eye. I mean, he can see stuff I can't. So he saw a kind of a pathway, the trackway, and there was full muddy the impressions that was on top of the Johnson grass that had kind of been laid down. Then it went on into the tree line and we counted. I got I got pictures of the the muddy the Muddy impressions, and there's like four of them. And Steve stride these things out and then as far as he could stride, that was the stride in between the impressions, and so it's a pretty good stride. So and this was across the road from where we had parked, and so we're just kind of hanging around, you know, and we get up. We're walking around a little bit, and we're hearing movement basically on both sides of us, both sides of the road, but we can't tell what it is. And so a little bit later we go back to the truck and we're sitting in the truck for a little bit and then all of a sudden, we're hearing this movement on my side of the truck and it's like something I said, Steve, something is walking out of that tree line and then that Johnson grass, but I can't see it. And it's like a bunch of I mean, there's a bunch of walking, like a bipedal walking, and it's coming closure and close. Serre. It got to a certain point to where then it started pacing back and forth and it's just beyond the tall Johnson grass. We can't see it, but it's out of the tree line, but it's feeling that tall Johnson grass behind it. We can't see, and I'm looking through my flare. I can't see it, but it's there, and it's pacing back and forth, and it's like these things are pacing and they would pace towards each other, and then they turn around and walk away from each other, and they just pace back and forth horizontally to us. And then it starts getting closer, and I'm getting nervous, and I said, I think we better go, And so we drove up the hill and stopped, turned around and a parked and it's probably like for a couple fe minutes. I wouldn't gone long until I finally got my nerves back, I said, okay, let's go back. So we went back, and we never did hear any moving on that side of the road anymore. It was all on the other side of the road. So we got to thinking, well, maybe we blocked a pathway and they were trying to cross the road right there, and we had where I had parked my truck. Maybe we'd blocked their path you know. And so I said, okay, let's eliminate the impossible. But if it was dear with a dear, regardless of whether we were there or not, would they have come on out and cross the road? I said, if it was hogs, would they have come out across the road regardless of where we're there not. I was thinking they probably would have. I don't know, I would, you know, But whatever it was didn't cross the road while we were there, And so we just came up and then started pacing back and forth. So that was pretty exciting, pretty pretty a drilling rush there for a while. But on another occasion, they're at the same place, Like I said, this is a great place to go, and we've always tried to go back. We don't go back there every time I go back, but we did after deer season for sure, and so we went back there. And this is this is something that is really I'm not going to say this big foot related. I don't know what happened this night, and so we lost an hour time. We don't know what happened to that hour. And this is not you could at the bottoms started at the bottom. We got we get there and the second we stepped out of the truck. We're just like boll this don't feel right. Steve said, yeah, I know, this doesn't feel right. And Steve, Steve's the type of guy he doesn't get paranoid. He doesn't get scared, or he doesn't show that he's getting scared. Never he feels like something is around, he'll start getting chill bumps on his arms. He'll start rubbing his arms. He got out and he was immediately rubbing his arms, and so he said, something didn't fear out And I said, it doesn't feel like it's a big foot, doesn't He said, no, it doesn't. And he is just getting nervous and nervous and nervous, and I said, what do you think we need to do? I mean, like the air's real heavy, and it was just a bad vibe. We were both, you know, and I've done by this time, I've been gone going down there for eighteen twenty years. I never had bad vibe like I got that night. And so we were there twenty minutes and we left, and I remember when we left, it was like eight forty five. We drove back to town, and it's probably from there back to town, probably about a fifteen minute drive down the highway at sixty five miles an hour. Okay, we drive back to town. We go through town, get on another side of town, and Steve said, look at the time it was ninety five. I said, we're dead. Urgo and by this time our bodies were like we were just our bodies were like feeling awful. Well, while we were there at the bottoms, I forgot to cook this. In there, we had noticed in the northwest sky a square of light. This light this is why it gets out of the big Foot realm of things, and I don't know what kind of a paranormal range, but it was like a square of light, and it was like little slivers of different colored light in there. But it wasn't of any like the spectrum that we know of red, blue, yellow, orange. Quite. These were kind of different colors in between those, you know, and like blend square square light. Well, we get past we'll get past town. And there was a place that Steve wanted to go check out, and so that we've never I've never been to, but he wanted to go. So we went and we stopped and we got out and we noticed three more of these squares in the south east sky. Once the still in the northwest sky. These other three were in the southeast sky. We're like, look over here, and we're just sitting there watching these these things, you know, and Steve, here's movement in this little competrees. Well he he pans his flashlight over there towards that, and nothing's happening. So, you know, we're looking elsewhere and stuff like this, you know, this happen and several times those lights are still there. All of a sudden, now the direct west, we see this flashing, bright, bright white light coming at us, and it's flashing and this flashing it's getting closer and it's getting closer, and it's getting closer, and we're like, oh, okay, what's happening here, you know. And so a little bit we hear I can hear the rumble of a jet engine, and I said, okay, that's a that's a that's a jet. It's gone and it turned and it's going towards this square of light in the northwest sky, and so or in the northeast sky, I'm sorry. Out of the northwest, here comes another jet and they fly in formation and they go towards this square of light Steve, here's movement again. So we jar our tension back into this whole comfort trees. He's here and moving back here. And so next thing, you know, we look up again, those squares of light are gone, disappeared, and those two jets fly off towards Oklahoma City from teen Care Air Force Base. I would assume probably, uh yeah, but what happened our bodies that were like out of rhythm. Mima was out of rhythm for like a couple of days, and Steve said, yeah, his is like maybe day and a half. And it was like it was like you're just you're dumbfounded us of what just took place. And it was that way, like I said, for me, for a couple of days. And but you know, we still to this day don't know where that our time went. And so I had called Kubo and I said I was telling him that story. He goes, way, do you feel like he'd been violated? And I said, well, no, like maybe I was abducted, you know, or something like that. I said, well, no, I don't. I don't feel like that happened, you know, But what happened, whatever happened, did happen, and it happened to both of us, and you know, and Steve can, Steve can back this story up as to what happened, and it was it was very strange, and it all started right there at the bottoms. That's where it started from. So, you know, like I said, just all kinds of you know, it's just the bottoms is just a great place to go. And it's not every time. There's been times, you know, when I I'll dry from Marmorllo out there to go with Dan and VICKI like for the night, just go for one day. Yeah, I'll just and and sometimes things happen, sometimes it doesn't. It's just like going fishing, you know, it's just like sometimes you get a bite and sometimes you don't. But it's always exciting to go back. And then of course over time, you know, you go, you hear about different places, and you go different places and you get the activity and so anyway, and then another time it started. We started at the bottoms, but nothing was going on there. This was a matter of fact. This was just this past February. This took place, and so nothing was happening at the bottoms. We were there for an hour, nothing going on, though we did some calls. Nothing, just very quiet. And so we had moved around, probably went a couple of miles away to a different place. There's a place that I wanted to show Steve, and then we took it. We just took off up a road that I've never been on before, and he now had either. But he came up to a dead end and so and then there's a channel of water, and so we pull my truck in to back out because since it was it was a dead end, you know, you know, you park where you could leave fast. Yeah, And so I was turning, turning my truck around, and my headlights hit something in this little channel of water, and it looked it looked like a tree stump, you know, because it was it was dark. Whatever this was, it looked like a water soaked tree stump. And so I get pulled around and stop, you know, and and Steve side of the truck was was closest to this thing. We're probably i don't know, fifty feet away, maybe sixty something like that wasn't very far away, and uh, we're looking at this thing. I get my fleer out and I'm looking at it, and I said, well, it's got to be a tree stump. Because as long as we've been here, this thing hasn't moved. It's not an animal because we didn't scare it off. So what what is this? You know where I'm still thinking tree stump? So I took a picture of it with my flair and it just lit up black hot. Whatever whatever was given off a heat signature, gave off a dark black, cold black signature. And so this is what this thing did. I'm thinking, well, if that was a wet tree stump, would it be given off a black hot signature? I don't know, so seems it. I'm gonna take a better look. So he gets out of the truck. I'm still, you know, sitting in the truck with the flair on. Never think to hit the record button on the flair, you know, never think about it. Took the picture, but I didn't, I didn't hit record. He gets out and he's hearing he heard some movement beside him. So he pans the flashlight into these trees. I'm still looking at this thing on the flair and this thing disappears right before eyes. It wasn't. It didn't fly off like a crane would. Because we've we've we've experienced cranes down there at night. They didn't take off light. It didn't it didn't run off. Wasn't like a person that didn't run off. It could have been a beaver. But a beaver sat there, I mean, whatever it was, i'd say one third of its body was out of the water, standing up, straight up out of the water. So I'm thinking, I don't know if a beaver would do that or not. I don't know how deep that water was out there, that little channel, but whatever it was just disappeared and no splashing heard or anything like that. No splashing, no slashing, nothing. It either went underneath the water or it vanished somehow. It just did. I'm assuming it went under the water. But I you know, panned around and I never saw a black hot signature come up anywhere, you know. Again after that, and went back the next day, saw no tracks. I still don't know how deep that water was. It's fairy was fairly deep, and so I don't know. I don't know if a beaver would stand up like that for any length a period of time or what I figured he would swim around and disappear, or slap the water with his tail or something. Never nothing, didn't do any it just disappeared. Have you heard stories about big foot swimming around up there? Yeah, I'm not sure at this particular place we were at, but I have heard of another lake kind of to the west of there that I think there was a I think it was a Mexican man that was out fishing and noticed this dark shaped swimming under the water, and he watched it, and it swim past this guy, and it went on down the little ways and then it came got up out of the water. But then there's another place that Steve knows about that. The people that it's one of those flood retention reservoirs, you know, and so they had a lot of water in it, and the people would see a big foot swimming in it. It was like it would rather swim across the lake than walk around it, you know. It swim from one end of the lake to the other and get up and walk off. And so they and these people that live closer that had witnessed that time or two so they do swim and dance dance told stories of the swimming and but I've not experienced that, but I'm I'm assuming they could. Um, we got into a little bit of a deal down in southern Oklahoma where we were afraid that they were going to swim up and take one of us. One night we had so much activity and there there was two guys from Texas and Coombo came up and there was a place that we had gone to back in twenty eighteen that Kombo had saw a big foot walk out in front of him, and I saw what I thought was the only thing I could explain was it was a big tall wall of grass. The first second I looked at it, and the next time I looked at it, that big tall wall of grass was gone. So you know, I can't say I saw bigfoot, but whatever was there was there one minute and then gone the next. But anyway, when we drove around to the other side of this these woods stuff, I think Kombo got out of his truck and just put his slear up and was looking down the road when this big foot walked right out in front of him. And it didn't it just it was like it just walked across the road, just like you were in downtown Oklahoma City and just walked across the road in front of a person. You know, it was like thrown nonchalant, just like it didn't didn't bother the big Foot or whatever. We just walked off from one clump of the woods across the road and into another clump. So you know, that was pretty exciting. Then, so we go back in twenty the fall of twenty twenty, we go back to the same area at this particular place we went to. We got there and then I don't know if you've heard Kombo and the show far that he's has been using, and he has used this biblical type horn, I guess, and he used that thing, and I mean, the woods just came alive. And we were there and we'd we'd stopped on this levee and we're there and he's he's blown this show far and we're getting activity all around us. I mean we're here sloshing in the water, stuff jumping off and running into the water. We're getting the rocks thought at us. It was crazy. We heard a tree get pushed down, and I mean, it's just it's just a crazy, crazy night. And then then we saw the big Foot and they were probably I'm going to say a couple of hundred maybe one hundred, couple hundred feet away. We did see we saw the eyeshine, and and then and then whenever, I mean, then this this guy had this laser pointer thing. It's more more than a laser pointer that you would use in a classroom. This is this is a pretty strong laser, like one of those tactical laser pointers. Yeah, and he shined. He shined that thing on one of those sets of eyeshine and they are all at all the SI shined. Duck disappeared. I mean they just they just hit the bushes, just totally disappeared, and they're like excited, like we saw one. We saw one, and we saw one. You know. But but what the thing that got me was was the sloshing in the water. I mean it was like it was jumping off in the water and running in the water. It was like you were in like the knee high water and you're trying, you know how you're trying to high step through the water, you know, running through what that's what it was sounding like we're going to boys, that's something on two feet and you know, and this happened several different times all around this lake that we were at. And then what got me was was, you know, Kimbo was kind of up there with those guys, you know, talk with them, and I thought, I'm going to stay back here behind just in case. And that's when the big rock got thrown at us, and so that got our attention. So so Coombo said, don't you stay here, stay on this road. Don't get close to that water, he said, because these things can swim and they'll snatch one of us right off this road for not careful. So we'll stay up on the road, you know. And he was he was very sincere about it. And so I went back this summer, well back in April, I went back to that same place and looked around in the daytime, you know, and there were some people that were parked, they were camped at the area that were would see in the eyeshine. And so I finally got my nerve up there to go up and just talked to him a little bit, and I said, job been coming here long? He goes, yeah, about ten years. We've been coming up here, you know, And and I said, well, if you've ever heard anything strange or see anything strange up here, And they just kind of looked at each other as a man and woman, husband and wife, they kind of looked at each other and said, well, no, not really, not not enough to run us off. That's how they put it, you know. And so I just kind of left it at that. But I drove around there a little bit and I found I found her whatever it was up through the rocks at us. I mean we're talking basketball sized boulder rip rap rock, you know. And so I found I found a camping pad that had all these rocks around it. And then I'm thinking, well, that's just not very far through there. I can see the lake, and so I walked down her A little bit later. I thought, whatever through the rock at us got it from this pile right here, I'll bet you. And so, you know, I just kind of either, you know, trying to add one plus one, you know, the equals. Yeah, whatever activity we had, something, something was sure doing it. And and so of course, you know, trying to eliminate the apost the impossible. The deer wouldn't frold the rock at us, you know, the deer would raccoon or whatever would not pick up a big rock like this and throw it at us. Something had to you know, when you eliminate everything, was that leave you, you know, a big foot or a human being yeah, and we were there on the ones around there at that time, and that time of night there was no other cars around, you know, nobody camping, and it ain't easy to chunk a head size of stone like that. You got to get pretty close, yeah, exactly, you know, and from the Yeah, and you know, there was from where this rock pile was to the to the edge of the lake. There there was a lot of trees in between. So he didn't just like either chunked it over the trees or he couldn't have chunked it through the trees or we'd have heard branches breaking and stuff, you know before it hit the water. Yeah, so whatever was out of the tree line and tossed it, you know, And uh, that was pretty pretty good a gentle and rush too that night. And so but I stayed there. I stayed there till probably eleven thirty night by myself, and you know, and really, you know, had nothing happen, you know, that particular time that I was there. But ma'am, when Kombo and me and and and Wade were there, it was it was it was pretty good at drilling rush. But uh, you know, I don't get out as as as much as I used to because of you know, family business and whatever and stuff like that. But I still I still get out. But it's like every like I said, it's not every time I go out I get anything to happen. You know, it's not every time. It's you know what I'm what I'm telling you here is you know, like one out ever ten times. Yeah, you know, going out. But this is also your own personal stories. These aren't jeans, are personal stories I talked to. I have a great nephew that helps his grandfather on his mother's side of the family farm and so down and down around and dark area. And so I get in touch with him because you know, his his dad, his grand his granddad doesn't believe in anything, you know, bigfoot whatever, and he's farmed, he's farmed down there forever and just doesn't believe it. And so of course I'll ask my great nephew, you know, what's if he's ever experiencing thing. He goes, well, yeah, he yes, and so um he says, But I don't talk to my granddad about it because he thinks I'm dumb. So but he did say, and I got the picture of these. He's had several calves that had been kind of killed and just left not torah, not just you know, certain parts of the body eating and that's it. So they hid hay. He said, I do want to know what's what's happening here? And so I said when asking if if he would mind if I put out some cameras, you know, and stuff like that or this has taken place, and he goes, yeah, he said, come out any time he wants to just let me know, you know. And so whenever I go down are we put out some cameras and and this this one night too, I had had two cameras that I put out and this getting it was after dark when I started putting up this, this camera, I tho'll do okay, do I pointed towards you to the tree lined by the creek, or do I point it towards the hay bales. And the story with the hay bales is they would notice some hay these big round bells that are like you know, almost six foot tall bals, you know, standing up, would be rolled out into the middle their pasture, and then some of them might even be pushed down. And so they want to know, okay, what's going what's what's happening with this. So we put our camera up there and I put one camera to look at the bells to watch the bells. The other camera. I was setting it up. It's after dark, and as I was setting it up, it kind of goes on a timer once you turn it on, you know, it's it's it's running well while I'm trying to set it up, and I had this camera pointed towards the tree line, and then I finally ended up turning it towards the haybells to watch the haybells to see if something was coming up, you know, hogs, whatever, something was pulling hay out the top of the haybells, not on the sides. I told I told my nephew, I said, you're on the side. It's probably hogs. I set it up on top. That's that's puzzling, you know. So so we'll watch the haybells. And so we leave Eve and I the next the next morning, I go back and get to get the cameras well. It was about a week later before I could even get a chance to even look at the pictures on the and so I'm studying these pictures and first of it is it is. When I'm putting this camera up, it's picking up eyeshine in this tree line, and something's watching us. And it's not close to the ground. It's it's whatever it is standing up watching us, because that's the way the eyeshine was. Well, then the several pictures after that, this eyeshine has moved, you know, from our right, like from my right as you look at the tree to the left. It's it has moved in several different places. So whatever it is watching us. So we put up the camera, you know, and we leave. And then the other pictures in the camera, something has walked by the camera with hair it picked up real not real, real long stringy hair, but this is like dense, fuzzy type hair, you know, I don't know, really strange. Well, then I'm looking at these pictures and I've noticed that the camera has moved in position because i can see the skyline to the west and there's different like you know, like houses back there with security lights or whatever like that on and anyway, the camera has moved because different pictures are different parts of the skyline. And so I noticed something and I'm looking at this and it looks like a face. It looks like the faces look like something that has come up to the hay bells and it's peeking over the top of the hay bells. You can see the forehead, you can see the eye sockets, and you can see a nose. And I said, I got something here, you know, I'll send you the pictures. Yeah, in the in the hay bills are like what six feet tall? I think he said fifty. I think he said they were like fifty eight inches. But these are eleven hundred pound bills. Yeah, being rolled out into a field or being pushed over. I've got those pictures. But but the thing is with it. I look, I look for tire tracks. There was no tire tracks, Like maybe his granddad had backed up to a bale and maybe ran into it or whatever, or picked it up and decided he didn't want it and dropped it, you know, that kind of a thing. There was no tire tracks coming up to the bills. And by this time you could you couldn't see tracks, you know, of any kind around it. So we're really puzzling, you know. Yeah, the same thing was happening down in Paris, Texas. Yeah, and so a little bit later to the same place, only on the other side of the of the pasture. And I think, I don't know if you've been there or not. I know, I know Baird been there before. This is a place where Dan and Dickie always liked going. It was was one of CJ's his wife's place, his family's place. That's where CJ liked to go deer hunt. Anyway, they'd had some activity back up in here. Anyway, it was on the same road. Well that on that road was a corral, and that's where my nephew's grandfather had his corral, and my nephew's job in the summertime it was last summer was to go and check the water tanks and make sure that all I had water for the cattle, because it's like, you know, you know how it's been the last several years here, it's just been so dry and real droughty, you know. Yeah. So and then then they did have one one stock tank that the it would stay full of water because for some odd reason to floats would would you know, wouldn't fill up with water for some reason. Anyway, he'd have to go out there and check it and didn't even didn't he'd have to turn on you know, hand turn on the well to fill the water up. And so he would from his granddad's house, he could drive his fore wheeler on the back roads and come up to this this crow. And so that's what he he came up the first time. He opened the gate, went went inside, and the crowds beside the fence there beside the road. And he checked the water. And so he was coming out. He had shut the gate, got on his forehealer, and he looked to the left to make sure nobody was coming. And he said, fifty foot away from him, and he said there was a big foot that was It wasn't squatted in the road. It wasn't standing straight up. It was kind of in a crouch position looking at him. And he said, this thing was covered in hair. He could see its nose, he could see its mouth. He could see it was around head. It wasn't it was the conical shape head. Just he said, this thing had a round head. What time of day was it? This is daylight, broad daylight. But there's not much there's not much traffic on this road. This this this road that goes up to a dead end too, and so um he said, they sat there and looked at each other for a little bit, and then that big foot just walked off the road and it started, I'm scared. That's when he started telling me. He said, I'm scared to go out there, Kurt, And so I said, well, and he like said he wouldn't tell his granddad because his granddad didn't believe in it. And so about three days later, it was in the same week, a matter of fact, about three days later at the same in the same week, he goes back out there again. Well, he opens the gate, goes into the field, shuts the gate back, and he thought he noticed something in the crowd that he wasn't for sure. He didn't look. He just thought he saw something in the crowd out of his for a full vision. He goes on down, checks the water tank, comes back, does the same thing comes out, and he said, by this time, he said, that thing is out in the road again, and he just he tries to get his camera out to take a picture of it, and he said his camera just lost all its power. It just died. So he gets on that four wheeler and he spins off and he takes off and he's going and he gets down there close to this intersection, and he said, I put on my brakes. He said, the brakes on that four wheeler quip working, and I'm trying to stop. And he said, I got close to the intersection. He said, the brakes finally locked up and I flipped. Now I landed in the ditch as across the road, and he said. He got up and he was looking at his four wheeler and he just happened to glance up that road and that big foot had followed him two it was it was a quarter mile, he said, followed him to the crest of the road and was sitting there and just kind of looked at him, just to see, like he's seeing if he's gonna be okay. And then the bigfoot walked off again. So he takes me out there, and I just from where he said the bigfoot was to the to the intersection of the road. I try to I zeroed out my old dometer and I drove it, and it was like two tenths of a two tenths of a mile away. It was where that where that bigfoot had stopped and was watching him, you know, just to see if he was okay, I guess. And so then he calls. Then his phone starts working. He calls his granddad come get him. And he didn't tell his granddad what he saw. He just said, I just had a wrenk. But and so uh, but this is the place another place that we've been watching. It's it's it's it's a. It's a. It's thirty miles away from the bottoms. Have you ever had any equipment malfunctions like that? Yes, I have down at the Bottoms. A matter of fact, the first time it'd ever happened at my flair and my recorder and my recorder were showing one hundred percent on the battery and the flair was showing like maybe seventy five battery power. And at this point in time down there, the game and Wildlife had come in and put in a fence. Why just one section offense and you know, I guess is to keep people from parkingeer and taking four wheelers back off in on that side you know of the refuge or whatever. But anyway, we're there and I'm just gonna start using my equipment just while we're there, and all of a sudden power went out of everything, both the flair and the voice recorder. The power just dropped, I said, boys said, not working. And so we're there a little bit later, no power, no power, and so finally we take off. When we drive, we get a couple of miles away to another spot, and we stop and I get out and I try the equipment and it works both pieces. Yeah, And so you know, I've had I've had that happen that at least once. It may have happened a couple of times. I can't really remember. I think they're well, what's weird is whenever you feel like you're getting a real good something on your voice recorder, you may hear the wind whistle, or you may hear a bunch of you know, white noise or whatever when you're supposed to be hearing something. You know, you know, just weird, just you know, that kind of thing. It's just it's unexplainable. Some of the stuff to me's just hard to explain. I don't I don't know the answered for it. It's just it's just my experience, and I'm not by myself, and I'm experiencing this. Steve or my nephew is with me when we experience his stuff. Are there? Have you heard UFO reports from that area, besides the experience that you had, And I don't know that it was a UFO. I'm just calling it that for lack of a better explanation. But is that something other people have talked about that you've heard nothing? I know nothing, nothing I heard of from around there now around the county. Yeah, there's been UFO reports in the past, and especially back in the sixties whenever there was a lot of reports, you know, back in the day, like you know, and where I grew up. I grew up, you know, not very far from Fort Sale, and back back during the Vietnam War, helicopters and jets and artillery was helicopters were flying all over the place, and jets were flying all over the place, and so you knew those sounds, and you knew what you knew what the lights look like at night, and you identified them, you know, and you knew what they were. And artillery share you know, the stuff going off twenty four hours a day, or artillery going off, and so I knew, I knew, I knew what they were. I know, and I'm a pilot myself, so I know the lights on an airplane, I know where the strobes are located. I know where the you know, the red and green lights and you know, landing lights and all this stuff are on the planes. Especially with a flute of course, you know, anything like that, it's going to make a sound. But but uh, and but I've there's those people that's that's said. They they're seeing lights in the sky. They give off no sound at all. Yeah, you know, back in when back in the sixties, there there were a lot of reports in the county of UFOs. And this is by farmers, you know. Yeah, and if you get off on some of those farms, you know, it's not like a flat farm like an eye or something like that, where you can you can see the end of your property or whatever from flat land. This is this is property out there with ravines and valleys and uh, you know deep deep I'd say, I don't know what you call the small maces or whatever, you know, in between the valleys and all this kind of stuff. It's not like you know, and then when a farmer gets off there, he may have to go down into a ravine or into a valley between two hills to check his cattle and stuff. And this is where there's some of these reports they're seeing these things down in these valleys that have landed. You know, it's not like it's not like you're seeing him. He's not. He's not sitting in his front yard seeing him. He's he's actually out on his property and seeing him on the ground. Seeing him on the ground, man, that's that's spooky. Yeah. And so I haven't heard anything from you know, here lately about anything like that. Now, there are some natives around. If you get to you get to talking about you get to talking to them some some people, some of the Native Americans in the in the area, will get together. They'll just call, you know, neighbors up from the country, you know, around the Country's like, hey, we're gonna have a cookout and we're just going to sit around and tell bigfoot stories. You know, would see what's have been happening lately, you know, and they'll do that. Well, we were invited to one one time, and these people were talking about these strange lights that they're seeing and stuff. But if there is there a connection between UFOs and Bigfoot, I don't know. Jury still out on that as far as I'm concerned. I don't have enough. I don't have enough facts. I don't have enough. I don't even know where to start research and stuff like that, except just through stories that you hear from different people that it's you know, over the years has experienced that type of thing. But I was just curious because you know, I had always heard bigfoot stories, but I had never heard any UFO stories until the one you just shared. So I was just kind of interested. You had heard other stories from that area that, well, no, I haven't, not that, No, not not that anybody's told me. You know, it's just that what Steve and I and yeah, Steve, Steve will he'll he'll attest to it, you know, if you ever have him on the show one time, he'll tell you the same thing. It was. It was quite it was quite an experience that that. You know, I want people hearing this to not be judgmental of what what I've been saying. Be curious because we explain, you know, anybody that's telling you a story, it's not just me, but anybody that's telling the story of very event that happened to them personally, be curious, not be judgmental, because it could happen to you, you know, and something something stranger, weird could happen to anybody that you can't explain. And and this is this is what I'm I'm saying. I can't explain what happened, what I what I what I saw, what and what Steve said, he can't explain it either. We've we've tried to debunk it. We've tried to you know, like you say, you eliminate the impossible, and we just can't. We just we just don't know because those lights, those squares of light, but these ribbons of light in these square whatever it was, did not move. And we even asked ourselves, is somebody shooting up a hologram up in the sky. You know, I'd even asked Steve that I said this, I said, do you see, uh, you know how some towns will have that big spot like you know that goes up and you know, you know, you see the beam of light going up in the sky, then the then the circle, you know, the spotlight. We're looking around for that. We can't find it. We can't see it. We can't see any of this. It's just the squares of light that were up there and then they were gone. So strange. But you know, just for everybody out there hearing somebody's story, don't don't pass them off as crazy. Just be curious and you know, and not just so so much judgmental, but be curious about it because they're the ones that experienced that. And that's you know, that's all I've got, you know, for that, you know, And it's everybody that tells me a story, you know, I want to I want to hear more and I want to I want to check it out. And I'll even ask them, do you mind if we come out and maybe we can experience this too, you know, that kind of a thing. And with a lot of the stories you know that we've been told, you know, by different people out of the Native American a lot of tribes you know, talk about it is they're not that far fetched. I mean, it's not like they're just crazy about i mean, just making stuff up, you know. I mean, after you get to know the people, it's just yeah, I mean, these aren't crazy people, Nomaz, They're not. They're they're they're just they're they're good old they're good old folks that they have a story to tell too. And then a lot of them will they're not going to go to the BFRO or anything like that with their story, they're not going to do it, and and they pretty much keep it quiet, and you know, and when they see Steve, you know, they trust Steve, and they see me with Steve a lot, so they get to where they trust me. And so some of them will you tell stories and stuff like that, but it's usually Steve and I together when they tell the story. Or Mike another friend of ours. He's he's got some pretty good experiences himself, and I've gone out with him on his property and it's like, yeah, you got it going on here too, and I'll let him tell his story sometime. Yeah, I'm trying to get Mike on. I'd love to have Steve on and talked to Steve, you know, years ago. He had some great stories back then, but I can't imagine how many he's collected since then. There's a funny story that Steve knows about it because he was he was part of the law enforcement group that went out at this one time. There's this one house that's out there that they can't keep runners in this house for some reason. They you know, people leave and they just runted out and then they leave. And so anyway, these people were there and they Steve was on patrol when he was when he was a local policeman there in one of the towns. He heard the call from the b I A cop you know, Bigfoot, cap Bigfoot, you know, he's going out to this house blah blah blah. Gave the address ups he says, yeah, I know whether that's that, that's a big Foot call out. So there was a county deputy that have been monitoring the same channel, the county wide's hand, he hears it. So they just you know, Steve, he knows what it's about, and he knows what's going to happen when he gets there. Nothing, you know, and so so he just he just kind of drives slow, takes his time getting out there. Well, and the county deputy he knows the same thing because they've had they have callouts all the time, and they don't even mess with him anymore. So he kind of goes out there. Well, they kind of get out there together and and Virgil, the b I A cop, he he had his sirens going, his lights are still going on his car. He's there and he's talking to the people that live there, and you know, Steve walks up there to him and says, why are you why? Why did you come out here? Whatever? Whatever the code is for lights and sirens, I don't know what it was, what the code is that they used, But he goes, why did you come out here? Signal thirty or whatever it was, And Virgil said, I wanted that, big Harry sumbit's gone before I got here. I want Yeah, so with this, Yeah, but this place is um has been famous for people calling in for you know, and this this this particular night, I guess this thing was up on their back porch and when they noticed it out there kind of peeking the windows or whatever, and they made the phone call. But there's other stories going on to down there here lately, and UH all that Mike, you know, whenever you have him on, he can tell you that story. It's a you know, it's it's interesting. He hasn't interviewed the eyewitness yet, but he's going to and uh at some point in time. And it's been a as far as research for me, it's it's been a good twenty some odd years. UM worth it it's it's it's worth. It's worth to drive back home and and UH to do it, of course, you know, I like I said, I don't know when Dan and Bicky were living back there. Shoot, I was gone back every other week, every other weekend or whatever. But now it's not as often. But I go out and I don't even wait till night time to go out. Sometimes I'm just out there. I'll go out there in broad daylight because you have sightings down there, broad daylight sightings, and you have middle of the night sightings, and you have it's Bigfoot has no timetable. I guess on when he's going to show himself because it's at different times a day, and so I'll just I'll go out and maybe maybe you see something out in the fields, maybe you see something in that tree line as you're driving down the road. But I got a nephew that has some property at Eastertown that I go out and and uh, I'll take my rifle out there and just shoot target practice and stuff like that, and I'm just kind of looking around, you know. But there's there's been sightings out there too, and so it's just like like you said, no one certain spot. Well, Kurt, I appreciate you coming on. Well, thank you, And I, like I said, um, folks, better listening, please, Please don't be judgment Please please be curious first, you know, and and you know you're hearing it from from people that and I'm hearing story I get. I get the stories, and then I experienced the things myself because I'm I get out there and do it and get these experiences. And I tried to eliminate the impossible. I just make sure that a deer's not doing it, a raccoon or anything like that. I try to eliminate all that stuff before I decide it's either a human being or a bigfoot. It's got to be one of those two. Something intelligent, you know what I'm saying. Very intelligent. Yeah, And so that's so that's what I do, and that's what keeps me going back. Just just just be curious, not judgmental. That's that's um. But all I got. And if you've encountered something you can't explain, send me an email at Bigfootcrossroads at gmail dot com.
