Speaker 4: Welcome to two of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now Here's Matt Jones welcome back.

00:01:06
Speaker 3: I remember two tucky sports radio, the text machine seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. Let's here's some texts. Guys are a little slow this morning. A couple open lines too, A five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Let's talk for just a second, real quick about football Will Stein. Every time I get online, he's got another football committe. You guys got a four star receiver this weekend whose name was let's see something Lewis. I've ivy on Ivan Lewis. Then he gets an offensive lineman today over Florida. We're gonna end up with the top twenty class. Like he's gotten so many players that he's gonna end up with the top twenty class, which is really amazing. I mean it really is, like you you know, he is he went heavy into the portal, but he's clearly investing in young guys. A lot of schools are like, I don't know about young guys. Will Stein's getting them, And you know, you start to get the sense, like you know, when Mark Stoop's first got here, he recruited well, but it took him a couple of years to kind of get big time players that weren't from the state of Kentucky. Will is doing it right off the bat.

00:02:18
Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know Vince would go out and ocasually get a big one we didn't think they would get and be like, wow, this is incredible. Will Stein is just making this a regular occurrence this spring. And the fact that Kentucky has what could end up being the number one wide receiver in that class and then right now the number two quarterback. I mean, those are two positions the UK doesn't normally go out and get.

00:02:37
Speaker 3: Occasionally, you're easy at like, you know, I mean, he's taking advantage of it's a new product, he's selling Oregon and all that. But you can't help but be excited about it. And then you know he went and saw Morgan Walland.

00:02:54
Speaker 5: That's what I keep bringing up. The youth is not just around the building. They're just having fun.

00:02:58
Speaker 3: He didn't have like a vibe even like.

00:03:00
Speaker 5: Putting out a little me like he teased this commandment this morning yesterday. It was a little meme on on Twitter. Little things like that. They're not you know, it's not winning a game, but it just makes things fun in the off season and gives people.

00:03:11
Speaker 3: A little bit of something to chew on its like like it seems like she and and that they would be just a cool place to be around.

00:03:18
Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean.

00:03:19
Speaker 4: It's like the little Mother's Day thing that he sent out to all the recruits.

00:03:23
Speaker 6: I thought, So that was touched.

00:03:24
Speaker 3: So I get this message. I get this message from from a text machine, from the text machine that somebody sends me about what will Stein did for Mother's Day. So it says that will Stein sent a personalized message to every mother of all the recruits coming in twenty seven and twenty eight, and he saw the message to his friend's son. It was well played. They said it was a good Mother's Day treat. He sent personalized messages to all the recruits mothers. Well, that takes a little bit of time. Yeah, but also it's the kind of thing that when you do, you've got that mom forever.

00:04:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, and you get the mom, you get the player a lot of time.

00:04:03
Speaker 3: No, I mean, but think about it, because then when Sun wants to transfer, Mom's gonna go. You remember what Will told me on Mother's Day. Will said, like, like, that's a little it's a personalized gesture aimed at the mom. I think that's brilliant Drew like, that's like, that's subtle recruiting in a different way.

00:04:25
Speaker 5: And the fact that you know, we learned that one from the text machine. But it makes me wonder what else is he doing that we don't know? Yeah, that's that was just you know yesterday holiday doing things for moms. But if he's had that many ideas and it's gone that big above and beyond, makes me wonder what else he's been up to.

00:04:38
Speaker 3: Now? Why did Nick Rouse shnon post that we were going to beat Alabama?

00:04:41
Speaker 6: What is I saw that? I was like, what huh? That just came out of nowhere.

00:04:46
Speaker 3: I had to call Nick Rouse and tell him to turn everything down. Yeah. I went for a walk Saturday in Lexington or see me in Louisville. And I walked from my house like all the way to Shannon Old Louisville right, and then walked back. And as I'm walking, you know, I start to see Nick Rousse puts a video that's like if we lose Malchoim moreno, the world is over. That was the last Thursday or happy Hour. I just I was letting him go and then he put the thing out and then I see this and I'm like, all right, this happens about once every year or two, Shannon, I have to call Nick Rouse and go, will you slow down? Yeah? There are certain you see, I don't like big klick Nick is that that's what he would call himself. There are certain people that I have to sometimes, Shannon just kind of remind them to come back to earth.

00:05:43
Speaker 4: Well, so I think that's better to have somebody at the real end than like tell them to.

00:05:46
Speaker 6: Amp up their game a little bit, you know maybe.

00:05:49
Speaker 3: But like Ryan, about once a year, I have to go, Ryan, stop, you know. Yeah. Yeah, But like I'm like, okay, just stop.

00:06:01
Speaker 6: Doll it back a little bit, doll it back.

00:06:03
Speaker 3: And so I had to give Nick a dill it back call, like stop being Stephen a roush Okay, just just chill. And it's because because he puts out this morning, Kentucky's gonna beat Alabama. We can say that, but you have to write it in slight defense of his uh Alabama prediction.

00:06:23
Speaker 5: He wrote yesterday Ralsh had the website by himself and wrote like eleven posts, and I think that well was running a little dry.

00:06:29
Speaker 3: Now, like you know, it's gonna end up on roll time. People gonna you say, what this by that he's gonna do that next thing, you know, like you wouldn't shot me if this afternoon fine bombs goes Kentucky website says they're gonna beat Alabama and then next thing you know, people are gonna go, Jones said, and it will not be me. But you wait and see this is sheitn't gonna turn into II.

00:06:52
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's always gonna come back to you. I mean people associated.

00:06:56
Speaker 3: And I just told Ralsh calm down. There's a buzz about that game. On Saturday, I got invited to a post Alabama game celebration party, and even I was like, all right, listen, I'm excited about the season, but let's calm down on booking events spaces. Okay, you want to put a deposit on an events.

00:07:15
Speaker 5: There is a buzz. We might need to reel it in just a little bit. But you're excited.

00:07:19
Speaker 3: Remember all right, listen, if we win, that's great, but now you know that we're gonna have a lot of those people in our city. I think it's gonna be awesome, but I'm not ready to call a win yet.

00:07:31
Speaker 5: To think of Rause's victory lap though, when he put that link up, called it several months and.

00:07:38
Speaker 3: Big clicknic click, you're gonna get a phone call that says. By the way, my mom was talking last night. She was like, how is Drew enjoying being a dad? And I'm like, I say, you know, he's putting all these pictures up. You're you know, You're like, you're like, mister picture, mister Okay, I'll take it. No, I mean they but my question is they all look like, are you bringing a photographer in your house? Well, we did one photo shoot. We did a photo shoot. Yeah, does that work?

00:08:14
Speaker 7: Well?

00:08:14
Speaker 3: They bring a camera and they take pictures of the bay. Is that like a normal thing people like one month in or like let's have a I would say fairly common. I wouldn't say everybody does it. But yeah, we did some baby pictures and I noticed here's what I noticed post baby, Shannon Drew's dressing better. Like when you got like, like I noted like you looked, you were like you looked like handsome dad in your picture. I guess you all went to a rest. Yesterday took he to Carson's Baby's first brunch. Is that an event?

00:08:48
Speaker 5: No, she was the only baby there, but it was, uh, you know, Mother's Day. Obviously, I mentioned last week yesterday also Abby's birthday, so we had a big Sunday, but we wanted to go out for.

00:08:57
Speaker 3: Brunch black hair did uh you know? People offered a babysit and so Abbe and I canna have a day. We're like, no, She's going with us party of three at Carson's. So we had a little babies first first and that looks like they looked like a Shannon when you go and like if you get a ll Bean catalog and they show a couple and their baby, thank you appreciate that. And that was kind of how you all looked. Aby had a nice little sweater on. Yeah, there was a sweater.

00:09:24
Speaker 5: We'll get ready. Because I wasn't gonna post much. I posted when she was born and I did a Mother's Day. I've only done two.

00:09:30
Speaker 3: I did much. Abby's posted. Yeah, Abby has done something, Okay, but I did she was born.

00:09:35
Speaker 5: I did Mother's Day, and I was gonna dial it back, but I have so many dms saying I need to lean into the dad talk. So I don't know if I'm gonna become a dad influencer. But there there are.

00:09:44
Speaker 3: People, and there's gonna be I don't think I'm gonna do it. I don't think I'm gonna do it. This is what we're gonna do. There is an appetite for it. This dude. I was going through old pictures. I saw a picture in two thousand and eight or nine of us in a hotel lobby taping a podcast, and Drew is standing on my trying to lean over my shoulders with his tongue out. I was big on the tongue out on the tongue. And I looked and then the next picture I see is him holding the baby, and I'm like, wow, a transition and Range got range. That picture from the hotel lobby is me, you, Hubby Wo, Jeremy Jarman, and Will Lynz. I remember that day very well.

00:10:28
Speaker 5: Actually I'm on the chair because I'm standing next to Wu and was trying to get up to you know, obviously Woo.

00:10:33
Speaker 3: Was huge, But you know, I got range. I can still chug a beer though if I need to. I haven't seen it in a while. Bbby, go ahead twenty four hours since I've done that.

00:10:43
Speaker 8: Uh yeah, glad that we're on the football talk. Just got a few things I went to the spring game and was really impressed with the offensive line, and then I looked up and seeing how big they were, and I just was wondering if y'all could go through that and get your reactions to that. And then also after I was just wondering if you could get some updates or spring ball, and I heard some rumors about CJ Bix or maybe tweaking something. I just want to hear some stuff about that.

00:11:07
Speaker 3: I don't have any rumors about spring ball, So I can't answer that the offensive line. Aren't they all like they're all just tanks. I appreciate the call. Is it one of them like three thirty or something.

00:11:21
Speaker 5: The line's massive, even the one they got today, he's six six three something. I mean it was a high three star recruit. If you just look at his ranking, he's near four hundred, But I mean he is just massive.

00:11:32
Speaker 3: I've heard that the starting five again I haven't seen any of these guys, but that they are just visually intimidating, like you haven't seen. But then there's a drop off. So everybody's got to stay healthy for our offensive line. I think they have to those they've they feel like they've got five guys who will be as good as anybody, but you have to stay healthy because there is a drop off to the deck group.

00:11:59
Speaker 5: Yeah, made that a priority. I think even said that with you on the show recently. About as soon as he got here, he realized the money had to go to the offensive line first and they'll figure out the rest.

00:12:08
Speaker 3: Let's go to Billy, Go ahead, Billy the first.

00:12:11
Speaker 7: Time calling it a long time listener who just wanted to tell Drew congratulations on the baby, just saying my first daughter back when.

00:12:21
Speaker 3: Oh, congratulations to you. You too, man, It's been fun so far. Hope it's going well for you.

00:12:28
Speaker 7: Absolutely, just steering back to basketball. Man, I'm one of these die hard lot familiar fans and fans I should say. I'm just curious when we're going to hear some information about that coming forward to the summer.

00:12:40
Speaker 3: What do you mean, lave Familia fans? Oh, you talking about the TV. I'm sorry you're talking about TVT I've heard anything about it. Actually, Uh, what'd you say? Appreciate the call?

00:12:52
Speaker 9: You I went, thank you, Yeah.

00:12:55
Speaker 3: Appreciate call. They have money to get guys. Mario's our TV, the TAM He's basically on the team. Yeah, Mario was essentially the GM. So as there's TBT information, it will come out. I mean there's nobody that has more insight TBT. Who's running it? Is it twenty? Still? So twenty Beckham come on in here, come on here? So twenty's running it? Yeah? Who's playing?

00:13:18
Speaker 10: They don't he is, he's working on his roster. But they got a lot of money this year.

00:13:22
Speaker 3: Where is this money coming from?

00:13:24
Speaker 10: I don't know.

00:13:25
Speaker 3: Toyota Workers Group, good amount? Good amount? Yeah, good amount? So is this is TVT becoming like like but it's becoming like there's n I l You gotta pay the guys somehow.

00:13:38
Speaker 4: So wow, So are we gonna happen if they won?

00:13:42
Speaker 3: No, you get paid to play. So so Khalil Whitney he'll be back, right, I believe so? Yes, so we'll get the dragon?

00:13:49
Speaker 10: Yeah, twins, twins, Well you said.

00:13:52
Speaker 3: You didn't know the roster. You've just got three of them.

00:13:54
Speaker 10: You got a few returners, but you gotta he's trying to get some big fish.

00:13:58
Speaker 3: So give me an example of a big fish or trying.

00:14:00
Speaker 10: To really I know, I know the amount that they have like that he has on his role, but I don't know like his targets yet.

00:14:07
Speaker 3: Okay, well you'd be working on it. You let me know. He's like Kegan Brown over here for TVT is will he playing?

00:14:14
Speaker 6: I'm worried it fun.

00:14:15
Speaker 3: Is it possible, Shannon, that our GM team is better for TVT?

00:14:19
Speaker 7: It is?

00:14:20
Speaker 4: I think it is based off what I've heard there from Mario.

00:14:23
Speaker 3: Soods like we got the money. I'm excited, you know, I would like to I'd like to watch that again. That's that's been fun every year they've done it. Two years ago it was Austin had a little bit longer run. They're upset last season, but I've loved it both years so far. I know it's gone before that, but it really took a step up the last couple of years. Yeah, well for us for sure. I mean we've been much more competitive. Hey, BBN, spring is sprung, and that means you might be getting outside more, whether it's yard work, staying acted by biking or running, or other increased physical activity. Court physical therapy can help at court, you know what it takes to heal and get you back to the things you enjoy. Over seventy locations, it's easy to find the center near you go to court dot com. Experien, it's the best in rehab with court dot com. Shannon, I want you to forward, uh the ad reads because I'm gonna make Mario dou Stockton baggage today. So we're gonna see how if he does better than Ryan, if they should just move him to the side. We'll take a break and be right back. Sks hark, go back, take you sports Radium eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Somebody sent me some of these uh weights of our players. We got an offensive lineman who's a freshman at three forty one. Wow, it feels like that's big. Yeah, isn't it. I'll stop the run. Yeah, we've got that's backwards three twenty nine, three twenty nine, three twenty six, three oh six, three oh eight, three twenty eight, three twenty one, three fifty four. He's from Quebec. Did you know we have a player from Quebec? You know, I don't think I did well Parlay Vu Franseie Tojay it'll be good.

00:16:00
Speaker 5: The hey gap eh, nobody.

00:16:04
Speaker 3: I mean I got it. It was you know it was something. Uh if I'm nine twenty two eighty seven. They caught the Cherokee part guy.

00:16:15
Speaker 6: Yay, we got him, finally we did. It's easy tonight, Okay.

00:16:21
Speaker 3: Are we sure that's the guy? The complexion seemed a little loft. That does not they does not look like the same guy. Is that lighting?

00:16:29
Speaker 5: I think something happened because they in that photo we all saw they like use something to enhance it, to to make it a little more clear.

00:16:35
Speaker 3: And I wonder if that might have If.

00:16:37
Speaker 4: You're zooming on the face the jaw line, you can see it a little bit better.

00:16:42
Speaker 6: But I'm with you.

00:16:43
Speaker 4: First time I saw it, that doesn't even look like the same guy. If you look really close though I can. I can see it, and you can see it, and he's got the scar on the knee, which I think, But does it look like that.

00:16:51
Speaker 3: Guy would have that pail of a body.

00:16:54
Speaker 4: Well, again, I think it was a lighting issue with so.

00:16:56
Speaker 3: You think the lighting made him pale us? Okay, the thing, they clearly think they got him. I don't think they would have arrested the wrong guy was going.

00:17:06
Speaker 4: To get unless you think there's two different ones, like working could take.

00:17:09
Speaker 3: Two different ones. But but the police department said that the arrested was the guy in depiction, he had a very unique knee scar. So go up to the guy and be like, let me see your knee. All right, we got you, now? Did I see he was a golf coach?

00:17:20
Speaker 7: Was he?

00:17:20
Speaker 3: I didn't see that part. That's not good. Well, first of all, who called him as an outside worker a golfer? You act? You said golfer? I said golfer because someone who if you were to see me in July, that's gonna be the color differential I'm gonna because though yeah, I mean I usually don't. I don't walk around like that.

00:17:41
Speaker 6: And don't golf tho, Yeah, I don't walk around that, But.

00:17:44
Speaker 3: Like I get a huge differential because I get really tan when I'm out playing golf a lot, but then I'm really pale. So like I've recognized that before.

00:17:55
Speaker 4: But well, at least they got that, you know, and you're like, you don't even know that this person lives that kind of lifestyle.

00:18:00
Speaker 3: Okay, that's a good question. Let's say that we found out it was like, Shannon.

00:18:07
Speaker 6: Don't put this on me.

00:18:08
Speaker 3: No, Let's say we found out it was Shannon, what do you do? What's your first phone call after the l MPD, Like that story comes out, and then the next day you get on the internet and everybody's like.

00:18:23
Speaker 6: Let's imagine it is Mike de Corsi.

00:18:26
Speaker 3: Well, but I'm not close to Mike the Corsa, but Ran de Corsi a random person. But what made you say, Mike Decorsi? I picked one of the three people on this show.

00:18:41
Speaker 4: Course some guy that we all know that isn't me that is on like the Leech Report, I don't know.

00:18:48
Speaker 3: All right, So two different situations. First of all, we found out it's Mike de course, right, Leech Report loses a guest. It's a bad look for the Sporting News. No, if we found out it in and you see that it happens, are you calling it? If it's Shannon, I go next it? But are you gonna call him and reach out and say, hey, man, sorry? We say at this point, probably a text. He's probably what are you gonna say to him? What's your text? What's your text gonna say to Shannon? If he's brought in for this?

00:19:22
Speaker 5: And man, I hope you get get over whatever you're going through and find some help.

00:19:27
Speaker 3: Tell you to find some help.

00:19:28
Speaker 5: Yeah, Like, I don't know what, I don't know what got you to this point, but I hate that it.

00:19:33
Speaker 3: Happened, and I hope you get better. Will you remain his friend?

00:19:36
Speaker 9: Yeah?

00:19:37
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah yeah. Just for the record, I would remain your friend.

00:19:41
Speaker 6: Okay, good you guys.

00:19:42
Speaker 3: But I would go Here's what I would say. I would say, Amen, hang in there if you want to talk about it there. We can't. But it's got to be tough because, like you know, when he gets out, he got what twenty five hundred dollars bail or whatever. Yeah, if you get out, like I mean, you can't go anywhere, you have to move.

00:20:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, not that I would ever do that, but you have to move to Alaska and work on like a fishing boat.

00:20:09
Speaker 4: That's how part of the show starts crumbling.

00:20:12
Speaker 6: I'm the first one out.

00:20:15
Speaker 3: With Mike de Coursey because we know he doesn't do that.

00:20:17
Speaker 6: That's true.

00:20:19
Speaker 3: Rose. How are you, Rose?

00:20:20
Speaker 6: Oh, we're done. Okay, No, it's okay. I'm just trying to defend myself. It's a right, go ahead, Rose.

00:20:27
Speaker 3: Okay, what's for the record, it was Rose, Just so you know, it was not Shannon that did that.

00:20:33
Speaker 11: That's I never expected it to be.

00:20:36
Speaker 12: So that's good. I can speak for all the ladies of KSR Drew.

00:20:40
Speaker 11: We need you to lean into the baby pictures, so so just do it.

00:20:43
Speaker 12: We're all here for it. We love it, we love it.

00:20:46
Speaker 11: You're a girl, dad, and we're loving the pictures.

00:20:48
Speaker 6: The pictures.

00:20:49
Speaker 5: That's it would be vidiot funny stuff like you know, oh, you're gonna do like I'm just gonna be like, look, she's eating you.

00:20:56
Speaker 3: It's gonna be like skits.

00:20:57
Speaker 5: Maybe people enjoyed the one I posted yesterday. I say to post it, Oh I didn't see it?

00:21:01
Speaker 3: Where was? What was it?

00:21:02
Speaker 12: Over sign in the Mother's Day card? That was great.

00:21:07
Speaker 5: I asked her which hand she is because I have a pen, and she just raises her right hand like she heard me. So I'm like, oh, so you're right handed. Then she signed the Mother's Day card. I was hesitant to post it, but you got to give response, so we might do a part two.

00:21:17
Speaker 3: Okay, good, all right, go.

00:21:18
Speaker 11: Ahead it okay, two comments completely diametrically opposed. First, we didn't get the answer we lights on GM in that video. But Mark Pope killed it with this hype song. In my opinion, so he.

00:21:31
Speaker 3: Did the hype song just second rose he did the hype song that was fifty cent. What's the name of it? Many men, many men. There's death pawn me. So he's kind of leaning into this whole cow everybody's out to get us kind of thing. Also, who told him about that song? You don't think that was his hype song? No, No, I love that he did it. But credit to whoever helped him with that one. Okay, all right, go ahead, Rose.

00:21:56
Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, so he gets sums up for that.

00:22:00
Speaker 12: I love it.

00:22:01
Speaker 11: Secondly, I am a huge Karen fan. I have never met her, but I fangirl over your mom. I hope she had a great Mother's Day. And this may sound weird, but I watch on repeat when she teaches the Sunday school List at her church. I teach at my church and she is just perfection.

00:22:23
Speaker 12: She is so good. I know this isn't sports related, but.

00:22:27
Speaker 3: Well, she will love you saying that because when people say to her that, they listen, especially to that to her Sunday school List, and it always means a lot. I know she's listening right now. So thank you very much. And I appreciate the call.

00:22:41
Speaker 12: Rose, Yes, love it, love it.

00:22:44
Speaker 3: Thank you. You know what she did for Mother's Day? What's up? So she came up here because I had to pick all my furniture and I wanted her to help, so I did that last night. She said, I want to go by your house today, the new one, and just like do some stuff. I said, okay, Shannon. She got up at six forty in the morning and left and went to the other house, and I think has been working there since. Wow.

00:23:13
Speaker 6: Is it Soun's day or Mother's Day?

00:23:15
Speaker 3: That's what I feel. Mad, But like she seems to want, like she's excited about it, She's proud of me. I'm just like, help out. Yeah, sure, you want to go clean my cabinets, I'd love it. Not surprised that she's doing that. Be right back. TJ.

00:23:31
Speaker 6: Smith, personal injury attorney, called TJ.

00:23:33
Speaker 3: He'll make them pay Now.

00:23:35
Speaker 4: More of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.

00:23:38
Speaker 6: Here's Matt Jones.

00:23:40
Speaker 3: Welcome back Turkey Sports Radio. If I've nine two eighty seven, when person rights, I knew it was Shannon. I've been calling him Shannon the Nude for a long time.

00:23:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's.

00:23:51
Speaker 3: My text of the day. Right there, Shannon the Nude. I could see it, Like another person wrote, Ryan's not here. They were caught. Is there a U Ryan, that's a.

00:24:09
Speaker 6: Good point Bill to get him out? Oh you would, Yeah, I'd pay it for Ryan.

00:24:15
Speaker 3: That would be a scene show up down there, Shanon Bales out rying Cherokee.

00:24:20
Speaker 6: Park cover up.

00:24:23
Speaker 3: You know, I was taught. I was saying this about Ryan the other day. There's no one that I've seen, you know how, like Charles Barkley can say anything and get away with it in a way that almost no one else in society came like. I think Charles Barkley is the only person that can say anything. Charles literally was like all the women in San Antonio are fat, and the women in San Antonio were like, we love you, Charles.

00:24:49
Speaker 6: You're right, Charles, You're right.

00:24:53
Speaker 3: Charles, Like most people could never get away with that. The closest equivalent in my life is right. Ryan can say anything, and people. Look, if I came in here and was like, you know, all these gals out here cooking's what they need to be doing, I would get destroyed, So would you Ryan? People go, well, he just he doesn't know any better, the oldest, and he is the oldest of the group. He'll grow up. He's had three children. And yet I think it's just because everybody knows he means well that he essentially can get away with anything, which is an unbelievable trait for a person to have. And I don't know how it happened, but Drew, it's certainly true. Could he get away with being the Cherokee part guy?

00:25:51
Speaker 6: No?

00:25:51
Speaker 3: No, but I think of everyone, people would forgive him the most, even though it's the most character for him.

00:26:02
Speaker 6: That's true.

00:26:03
Speaker 4: He does lose an article of clothing.

00:26:04
Speaker 6: And a lot of remote.

00:26:06
Speaker 3: He would have defenders like, well, he just got lost in the park and he got hot and stripped down to his he wears those remotes.

00:26:13
Speaker 6: It was eighty five that day.

00:26:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, like he it's fascinating how he is like that. And I don't know anyone else in life that can get away with the things he does with no like, no one. It's it's amazing. Literally, he will say something defensive, objectively offensive. I will say don't and people get mad at me. Yeah, like let him go, let him.

00:26:41
Speaker 13: I like.

00:26:42
Speaker 5: Also, I'll misspeak on so like earlier I said stop on the run about offensive lineman, I will get fifty messages on Twitter. He will say a player's wrong for an entire season, and everybody's like, that's just right, that's right.

00:26:52
Speaker 3: They do they do. Although now, to be fair, the opposite of that is if we make verbal miscues, we go on and like it's become Ryan is That's true in some ways with him. Still haven't given up on that coffee table book of listing them all. Yeah, he's he has a touch.

00:27:08
Speaker 4: Were you surprised that Draymond Green was able to get away with saying that to Barkley, Well.

00:27:13
Speaker 3: I don't think he got away with it. I mean gotten blasted, but.

00:27:15
Speaker 4: I remember, I mean Barkley didn't really say anything back to him because.

00:27:18
Speaker 3: Like, oh yeah, because he made me mad. I mean I think I think when you when you say a joke that lands, the other person will laugh and joke with you.

00:27:28
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:27:28
Speaker 3: The fact that he sat there and looked at him stone faced to me means he didn't like it.

00:27:34
Speaker 4: Yeah, but I thought he would say something back. I guess he didn't have anything to say.

00:27:38
Speaker 5: Well, I think did you see Ernie put him in his place a little bit? Yeah, Ernie shut him up.

00:27:42
Speaker 3: But that's a perfect example of how Barkley can say that and get away with it, and Draymond cannot because we don't we don't like Draymond, Joe and Knoxville. Go ahead, Joe, Joe, Hello there.

00:28:00
Speaker 6: Can you tell me?

00:28:01
Speaker 3: You ready? Yes? Go ahead, and you hear me?

00:28:05
Speaker 8: Can you hear me?

00:28:06
Speaker 3: Okay?

00:28:07
Speaker 13: Oh all right.

00:28:08
Speaker 3: I appreciate the can you hear me?

00:28:10
Speaker 14: No?

00:28:10
Speaker 3: Thank you? Just I it was I think it was. I think all the fumbling at the beginning that was intentional. He hung out a long time to make that joke.

00:28:27
Speaker 13: Roy, go ahead, Roy, Yeah, I gotta comment. I gotta make. Somebody posted on cats thing fan page the guy from it is.

00:28:39
Speaker 3: The name of it. The name is cats Thing fan page.

00:28:44
Speaker 13: Yeah, something like that. Well, anyway, I went to Kansucky Sports Radio dot com he ain't committed. And I went back and wrote back, he ain't committed, dude, get your get your message right.

00:28:57
Speaker 7: Uh.

00:28:58
Speaker 13: And I've learned that on kr Kentucky Fortsradio dot com or your show. It ain't happened.

00:29:05
Speaker 3: I like it. Now, what what was this? What was the story? The story was?

00:29:09
Speaker 12: What?

00:29:09
Speaker 13: Now he has posted that the Iowa Sake guy that's in the NBA right now had committed to contu.

00:29:17
Speaker 3: Ott that I was saying, that has happened that's not happened.

00:29:22
Speaker 13: I know. I went to Kentucky Sports Radio dot com and it was none. I went back and posted, don't be posting this stuff, buddy, you don't know what you talking about.

00:29:31
Speaker 9: And what did he say when you said that nothing? Well, I appreciate it.

00:29:41
Speaker 3: He was not. Yeah, he was listening. A lot of that there is now, and I appreciate the call. There is so much fake engagement out there in all walks of life that you have to be careful. I mean I saw like I'm on the watch for it and I come close to falling for it. I saw this video where somebody had what they said was Blake Lively at the met gala talking down to the people that worked for and I watched like thirty seconds and I was like, she is the worst. And then I went, oh, wait a minute, this might be AI. And it was, but I had completely fallen for it for about thirty seconds. You have to be diligent because it's everywhere. Now.

00:30:25
Speaker 5: Yeah, the AI's out of control, and as we've said many times, like reporting Kentucky stuff on Facebook, it's just it's just reckless.

00:30:32
Speaker 3: At this point, it's reckless. I think you have to get to a point where you have to say, this is my thing. If it is not. When I see something online, if it's not one of the KSR people, or maybe the hair leader or a couple of people that I know wouldn't do it, I just I don't put any you can't And I don't mean like recruiting stuff, like the stuff we laugh about, like Colin Chandler.

00:30:55
Speaker 5: Donating his money to whatever that like that stuff. The fact that people fall for that blows my mind. But it's happening a lot.

00:31:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So Kevin O'Connor, he followed, he does NBA stuff for Yahoo. He just put out a little while ago. Kentucky center Malachi Mareno will not play in the five on five scrimmages at the NBA Draft Combine this week. Sources say he has garnered intrigue from teams in the mid late first round range of the draft and is one of the clearest risers so far in the pre draft process. Now, so he's not gonna play in the five on five, which he was gonna do before. Yeah, he was always teammate. I saw the rosters. How do you read into the decision not to play? Usually the people that don't play. Are people that know they're gonna be drafted. I want to get exposed and don't want to get their stock come down. But Malachi, he can't know he's gonna get drafted.

00:31:57
Speaker 5: Unless the Knicks gave a promise. But I find that they're the one team because Mitchell Robinson's a free agent and you can kind of go young and replace him late in the first round. So the only thing I can see is that the Knicks have already told him, But at this stage, I wouldn't think they've done that.

00:32:11
Speaker 3: Even say that to everyone.

00:32:16
Speaker 5: Bom Tchilovich isn't participating either, which he's kind of like Malachi. They're both fringe second round, first round.

00:32:22
Speaker 3: Well maybe them not participating though is like a maybe it means he doesn't want to stay. You can look at you can kind of get whatever result you wanted that You could say, well, he's not participating because he knows he's gonna where he's gonna go, or you could say he's not participating because he knows he's not going to stay in the draft. You can kind of reach whatever conclusion you want from it. For me and not just specific to Malachi. When this happens, my brain leans more towards. They've done so good up to this point. They don't want to take a step backwards. Yeah, but who to see? Who knows? All right, Mario, this is going to be your first ever stocked To mortgage. Here we go, Shannon, let's see how he does. All right?

00:33:00
Speaker 10: Thinking about moving this summer, mat.

00:33:02
Speaker 3: I've already moved, Thinking.

00:33:04
Speaker 10: About moving this summer, Thinking about moving this summer, drew awesome. May is a great time to get your house, get your new house, and get organized. Stockton Mortgage helps you understand what's possible before things get busy, and.

00:33:20

00:33:29
Speaker 3: It's very short though, well, I mean they're supposed to be.

00:33:34
Speaker 10: Like it's a it's a it's an amazing time to buy and what else is happening with it? You can, uh, you know you can if whenever you're ready, you can just you know, reach out to Stockton Morgan that you tell me that they're all over they're all over, Drew, wherever you want it, Okay, and where do I go?

00:33:51
Speaker 3: Stockton dot com? All right, there you go do they do like a video showing me the process? Didn't Ryan, I had that recently. Yeah, if I were you, you know, try to get your reps in.

00:34:02
Speaker 6: I think.

00:34:05
Speaker 3: Work on it a little bit, as league crews would say, we'll work on that. We'll take a break, be right back, KSR work it back. Kentucky Sports Radio A five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven Texas seen seven seven to two seven seven four five two five four.

00:34:22
Speaker 13: Uh.

00:34:22
Speaker 3: The UK baseball team she's talking about, they just had a tough go of it for Heartbreakers Friday night, up six to one with two outs in the eighth inning and end up losing seven to six. They had a it was two outs, they had a strikeout that ends the inning, but it gets by the catcher Shennon and they don't throw him out, which and then they score six runs after that.

00:34:50
Speaker 4: Well, if they don't make the tournament, they're going to look back at that game right there and say that's the one the way shoot that that.

00:34:54
Speaker 3: I mean, they're kind of on the bubble and that game, if they win that game, they probably would have it would be in Now they're kind of don't.

00:35:02
Speaker 4: Know, got a series with Arkansas coming up I think this week so that's going to be a big one.

00:35:07
Speaker 6: They need to get two out of three.

00:35:08
Speaker 3: They need to get it.

00:35:09
Speaker 5: Yep, they're gonna need at least one this upcoming weekend. Also, Saturday kind of had a chaot againding too. You see Florida Challenge the final out, Kentucky thought it was over and they bring it back out bases loaded, two outs. Luckily they finished the job, but I thought.

00:35:20
Speaker 3: If they lose, that almost lost turning the lights off on the Oh dude, they get so unlucky. And then poor guy. Did you see the pitch? Oh yeah, Channing, did you see the wild pitch?

00:35:34
Speaker 6: Yeah, that was the worst wild pitches.

00:35:36
Speaker 3: That's one of the worst ones I've ever seen. I mean, clearly that slipped out.

00:35:40
Speaker 6: Of his hand, threw it to the other dugout.

00:35:42
Speaker 3: You know, when you're making sports Center for bad pitches.

00:35:46
Speaker 5: And the bullpens kind of holding UK back, especially the struggle on Sundays, and then you get clips of them just air meiling it out to section three twenty.

00:35:54
Speaker 3: That was one of the worst things I've ever seen. Then you're Alma mater, well not on my mater, but your team Shannon Bandy. Did you see what happened in the Vandy Missouri game? It was all so, it was so, it was foggy. Bottom of the ninth, Missouri gets a hit that goes into the fog and it ends up over the fence, but no one saw whether it was a home run or a ground rule double, and they and the ump can't even decide he doesn't know, and everyone just argues for a few minutes. They decide there's no way they can figure it out, and they just go home and say we'll try again tomorrow.

00:36:41
Speaker 4: That's why they should have suspended it before it got that to that point of fog.

00:36:45
Speaker 3: You know, but think about that for a minute. They didn't know, so they ended up calling it a ground rule double, even though the Missouri people insisted it was a home run.

00:36:56
Speaker 4: Of course they did. Why would they say it's a ground roll double. Of course they're gonna say.

00:36:58
Speaker 3: They didn't come back. The next day Missouri did win, so it ended up not mattering. But can you imagine if you hit a game winning home run and it was so foggy, they're like, we don't know if it was a home run or not, And they're like it's.

00:37:10
Speaker 5: Over the fence, and you felt it. You're confident in it, you know when you hit a home run.

00:37:15
Speaker 3: That was an unbelievable I've never this is the sec and you don't know whether or not it's a home run. It was so foggy. How did Why was the game going on?

00:37:25
Speaker 5: I did see that clib as you mentioned it. That was my takeaway. I'm like, why were they even playing at that point? I guess because it's the ninth You're like, let's just power through it all, get home.

00:37:32
Speaker 3: But if you can't see the ball, if it's a home.

00:37:35
Speaker 4: Run or a fly ball, you're in the outfield playing defense right in the fly but you can see the ball.

00:37:40
Speaker 3: Catching the teeth. Yeah, I'm amazed that Vandy was okay even trying to play, because you're right, if you hit a fly ball on the outfield.

00:37:47
Speaker 6: It's just well, it's lost, it's gone.

00:37:50
Speaker 3: I'm not catching this. Yeah, what a bizarre occurrence during the game. But and they were playing the next day. They could have finished it the next day. It was just just a strange baseball weekend. Over the weekend, and and you know, now we'll see if Kentucky ends up making the tournament. Dave, Go ahead, Dave, Dave, Oh.

00:38:19
Speaker 14: Sorry about that. I was talking to my mom. Hey, uh so I got a two part question, all right. First for Matt, I was just wondering, what at what age would you feel comfortable uh baby sitting Drew's it, as you would say. And then at what age would you feel comfortable? I have an uncle, Matt, baby set.

00:38:42
Speaker 3: The good question, all right for me. Appreciate the call for me. We'll start with no diapers? So when does that end? We got a while on that. I don't even know. Is it like to how long does a baby wear diapers?

00:38:59
Speaker 5: I don't even know the exact answer, but I'm a long way from it. But a year and a half longer than that.

00:39:04
Speaker 3: Two years, all right, So we're definitely not going till after that.

00:39:09
Speaker 5: And like yesterday, I changed a diaper, put the new one on, she immediately blew that one up, changed that one, and then she blew the next one up.

00:39:15
Speaker 3: So it's a it's a when do they stop screaming?

00:39:20
Speaker 6: Never?

00:39:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, I still got on that too. You would have hated last night. I couldn't get her stop screaming last night.

00:39:26
Speaker 4: It was a rough one when they getting their teenage years, They screamed too.

00:39:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I could start doing it at like.

00:39:34
Speaker 6: Five.

00:39:36
Speaker 3: What I'm gonna wait? What's wrong with five?

00:39:41
Speaker 4: I would pick seventeen for you say.

00:39:43
Speaker 3: I'm gonna wait till she has a driver's license before her off. Five is like five is like, you know, like she hanging hang out by herself.

00:39:54
Speaker 5: But five they can start wandering off and getting into stuff, and I feel like you lock the door. You'd be like, where'd she go? It's been two hours now, haven't seeners locked the kid?

00:40:01
Speaker 15: And they're like, all right, But I think I could watch Would do you think I could watch a nine year old?

00:40:13
Speaker 3: I mean you could watch a nine year old as much because you do it correctly. Yeah, I think you could watch a nine year old. Not my nine year old. I wouldn't want to be the I wouldn't want to be the volunteer, but a nine year old. Do you want me to have a couple of tryouts?

00:40:26
Speaker 13: Yeah?

00:40:26
Speaker 3: First I need some proof. Okay, Joe and Knoxville go ahead, all right, we already did yes, Hello, all right, okay you know what Shannon? I knew you let him do it again?

00:40:45
Speaker 4: Well, he said he was he was sorry, he didn't mean to do it.

00:40:49

Was that the SNL skit and it almost fell almost fell down? What was that you didn't like from the mic? Fell down DK andng dot co ho slash audio. Uh did you see Wimby's elbow? Did you think? Did that was kind of out of control, wasn't it?

00:41:33
Speaker 6: Yeah?

00:41:34
Speaker 5: I guess it just shows how frustrated he's gotten. They were just wearing him out a series.

00:41:38
Speaker 3: So like, I didn't see him as the kind of guy who goes elbow to neck.

00:41:42
Speaker 5: Right in the throat, too direct shot. My favorite part was his teammates reaction behind him like I think it was Dylan Harper. He's just wideed, like he couldn't believe it happened either, kind of like I saw someone say, it's like when your sibling gets in trouble or something.

00:41:54
Speaker 3: He couldn't believe it was happening. But it was like, I mean, you could make an argument he should say out another game. I mean that was an intentional and that will change the can change the entire series.

00:42:06
Speaker 5: Yeah, you can see him glance and like see his target as he throws the elbow.

00:42:09
Speaker 3: It's not unintentional. He intentionally threw an elbow into his neck. And if that was back to Draymond, If that was Draymond, he's out for the series and everybody's calling him the worst human of all time and all of that too. But I guess, you know, because he seems like a nice French guy, they won't do it. But that was a pretty brutal.

00:42:26
Speaker 5: I like the clip of where the broadcast catches him on the bench. He doesn't know what a flagrant too is. Did you see that part? It's like, what does that mean? And they're having to explain you gotta go.

00:42:34
Speaker 3: What's interesting with that series is that most times. There are three Kentucky guys on the floor. Fox Randall and Kevin Nonsen are off and all on the floor together, which is which is cool. Hey, thank you folks very much. We will be here all week, me and Drew and we will uh you know, hope Ryan enjoy his time off. We'll take a break for twenty two hours and see tomorrow. This is KSR.
