Guys. Let me here, you have right for everybody back at Kentucky. An absolutely packed house. And I have to tell you, Drew, you know we originally our plan was not to do the show here today at at ten roof. We were going to do it back at the house, and then yesterday we saw such a sea of blue out there. I go, well, we can't not do it, so here we are. But to be in front of this crap. Yeah, and it is an absolutely packed up huh. 00:01:35 Speaker 4: I love being back. 00:01:36 Speaker 5: I was just thinking I need to spend a little more time in a ten roof on this trip. So it's good to see everyone. And I know last night a second wave of Kentucky fans came in for this game, so I'm expecting we already have a great group here and plenty more on the way and it'll be at the game. 00:01:48 Speaker 2: Yeah, the I will say I would At first it was kind of like you said on Wednesday. At first at the game, I thought, well, there's not as many people here. I'm not sure, and then all of a sudden it got in and then there were huge moments in that game yesterday, Ryan where that was because of the fan base. 00:02:03 Speaker 6: It got so loud it kind of felt like old school SEC Tournament again with yeah, the energy in the arena and the fan base getting behind Kentucky's they tried to make a run and you can feel it, just a different feeling and energy them down the street that we've had the last couple of years down here in Nashville. 00:02:16 Speaker 4: That's right. 00:02:17 Speaker 2: Our trip to the SEC Tournament is sponsored by Clayton and Krum and Bert Tavern Brewing and Cats yesterday beat Missouri. A little bit of a sad stat, but nevertheless, we're gonna have to turn that down a little bit. That's gonna, no doubt reverberate through the thing. A little bit of a sad stat. But Kentucky won their second game in the SEC Tournament for only the first time since twenty eighteen yesterday, but they didn't win it, and it was a huge win I think for the Cats, not just the FETs, fan base, seating, etc. 00:02:49 Speaker 4: Drew. 00:02:50 Speaker 2: I think this was a massive one. 00:02:51 Speaker 5: Absolutely, And you know, I'm not surrendering anything to Florida today, but I will say it's been good to at least avoid worst case scenario. We've already had a lot of fun. I mean, we're gonna go beat them today. But all those nightmares we had of what could have happened, we're past that. Kentucky handled his business through two games. 00:03:06 Speaker 6: You know, we said all week, just get us to Friday and then let's see how it plays out that Oh waddie, it's hard to beat a team three times. We saw it last night. Ole miss came in and beat it to beat the Georgia last night after Georgia beat him twice. So it was Oklahoma. Oklahoma beat Texas after Texas beat him twice. 00:03:20 Speaker 2: Oh, you're gonna get the game. Yeah, Okooma beat Texas, A and M. Otherwise, you know, you've named all the teams except the one to beat. But they did beat them the third time out. Last year, of course, we played Alabama in this situation. It didn't work out. But let's talk about the game yesterday to kind of get started Kentucky. It was a lot like the first game against Missouri. Got a big lead, feels like we're in good shape, and then all of a sudden, just falls apart. Mark Mitchell, the big man for Missouri, gets I mean he turns into Patrick Ewing for a few minutes. We cannot stop him. They actually take the lead, and then you saw what you did not see it Rupperena at the beginning of the year. The team the fight. In the last three minutes, they get defensive stops, oh Way Aberdeen make big plays at the basket, and they end up pulling out the vall. 00:04:07 Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I'll say it because we're all friends here. When Missouri went up at two and a half left, I thought I thought it was curtains for Kentucky. It just wasn't feeling right. But as you said, they made the plays. Aberdeen had a lot of tough buckets. He and Ohway scored most of the points down the stretch, made their free throws. So it was a little more nerve wracking than we wanted it to be, and certainly more we thought it'd be at halftime when you had the lead. But at least they got it done and prove it and make the winning plays. 00:04:28 Speaker 2: In the end, the big plays. There were three plays down the stretch that were huge. First of all, they miss an open shot, Diabate gets the rebound. Then they miss another wide open, wide open three by oh way, Aberdeen gets a massive rebound and gets fouled. That gives us a one point lead. He makes those free throws. We talked about it, Ryan. There is not a player that there are very few players we've had that I feel better at the free throw line than Aberdeen down the stretch. He has not missed a free throw in the last three minutes of the game all season. That is amazing if you think about it. 00:05:03 Speaker 6: Yeah, he's he's money at the line. Just give him, give him all the smoke and he's gonna take it. Made the shot there at the end of the game. But I think I feel like the two biggest plays of the game were the two defensive stops. When Oway doubled down with Brandon Garrison on Mitchell. I felt like those two stops right there. 00:05:15 Speaker 2: Well that was gonna be a different two, but I was doing the one in it got you. But the second biggest thing to me, we're the defensive place. Mitchell was absolutely destroying us in the post, not just in the post, hitting threes. I mean, whatever we did didn't work. Then they called time out. Pope said in the post game press conference he decided to send Away to double both times. Oh way. The first time shades at it, the guy goes the other way, misses the shot. Second time he reaches in and smacks it away. After having no defense for seventeen minutes, they got it on those. 00:05:51 Speaker 4: Last two plays. Always helped. Defense was huge. 00:05:53 Speaker 5: And then Garrison, I know, you know, I don't think he took a shot yesterday, so it wasn't quite the beg time that it was Wednesday, but he had yeah, four but had some huge stops and. 00:06:01 Speaker 2: It was big. 00:06:02 Speaker 5: He and Marino were doing that with four fouls there at the end because the front uh, Missouri's front court was just putting them through so much pain earlier in the game. 00:06:09 Speaker 2: And then Oway and Aberdeen down the stretch both go and score huge buckets. You know, those guys we can We've talked about Ryan. They can take bad shots. They can sometimes frustrate you. They can sometimes you go, well why don't they share the ball, But again with two or three minutes to go, those guys go into the basket. It's they've had so much success with that all season. 00:06:31 Speaker 6: I was so mad at Aberdeen. Earlier in the game, we had the big lead and he starts playing like we're behind, playing like we had the lead. He came downjacked up a couple of shots early in the shot clock. But you're right, when it's crunch time, you put the ball in those two guys' hands and just let them, let them cook, let them get to the free throw line. They're gonna nail it. 00:06:45 Speaker 2: And I do think this crowd had a huge impact on the game, especially when it was seventy three seventy after the way play and they get the ball. It was loud in that arena. It was loud, and you could see the Missouri players I think, get a little shaken. Mitchell, as good as he is, I thought he moved a little quick kind of because he was a little distracted, and that's when Away got the slab. This crowd played a huge advantage. I mean the mo Diabante said, no offense, I think this crowd's better than the ones sometimes when we have him in Lexington, I agree with that. 00:07:17 Speaker 5: I said that on the show yesterday after Wednesday's game. It's just such a huge advantage down here for Kentucky. And we wondered with this year or not going the way we all probably wanted there in the beginning, and we might have limped into this a little bit. To have the crowd willed him through the end the way they did yesterday, it was just awesome to see and good to. 00:07:31 Speaker 4: Know BBN hadn't slowed down at all. 00:07:33 Speaker 2: Well. I think it's huge for seeding. I think Kentucky is now certainly a seven seed. That makes sure you avoid the one in the second round, so you can get one of the two seeds. I think if they win today, they'll get up to a sixth seed, at which point I actually really think you could make a run. I mean, if you're sort of taking the most optimistic view about Kentucky this season, A win today I think sets up the scenario where you can have exactly what you would hope for, maybe in the most optimistic view, since we got blown out by Gonzaga. 00:08:05 Speaker 6: That's why it was such a huge win yesterday. You're right to secure that scene next week in the NCAA tournament. You're talking about that difference between just a six and a seven is a huge difference. 00:08:13 Speaker 2: It's a huge difference. It's a huge difference. You're gonna go from playing like if you're a six seeds, you'll play like a Miami of Ohio or a VCU. If you're a seven seed, you're playing teams from major conferences that are good. Drew and then in the second round, the difference between Iowa State or Nebraska versus Yukon or Houston is. 00:08:32 Speaker 4: A massive difference that and you're starting to play well. 00:08:34 Speaker 5: We haven't talked about it a ton, but adding Cam willims to give them a little depth and to get away from the fatigue. Maybe you can spell some guys a few more minutes now with him joining the lineup. In that three point shooting, I know it was the two games ago, but him hit his first three and as he came in, I haven't been out for a month. That was big and having him back's gonna be huge whatever they doing. 00:08:50 Speaker 2: Did you think Brandon Garrison goaltended at the end It was one dent Well, it did not goaltend that was completely clean. Were finally get a home whistle here in Nashally we asked for it, it rough, I think we got. That was a big play. It was because it was a three point game that would have made it one and they got that run. 00:09:09 Speaker 6: They showed the replay and the replay it was obvious it was on his way down it was a goaltend, but they can't review it right because they didn't call it a got in. 00:09:15 Speaker 2: When you in order to review it, they have to call it a goaltend, and they didn't do that. See. I always think that's a weird rule because he actually knocked it out of bounds. So the reason they don't review it is the play continues. But it didn't continue at that point, and so it was odd. 00:09:31 Speaker 4: With the stop it. 00:09:32 Speaker 2: You think they could. 00:09:32 Speaker 5: But there was also a moment late I think did we travel maybe get away with it. I know their coach ran all the way down the court to yell at the ref and we were trying to put it away. 00:09:40 Speaker 4: That's fine, that's all right. 00:09:41 Speaker 2: Was that Chandler? I think so. I think the Chandler it's just good. 00:09:44 Speaker 4: To have the whistle on our side. 00:09:45 Speaker 2: From one, let's talk about Chandler hit two threes one in the second half. That was was big. Nice to see him make a couple and kind of get. 00:09:53 Speaker 6: Going well because he didn't wear his T shirt. He took the shirt off and he had a normal Chandler game yesterday. 00:09:58 Speaker 2: Yes, he was asked about that after the game. He said, the T shirt doesn't have anything to do with it. We'll see if he comes out in T shirt today. 00:10:04 Speaker 4: I don't know, Colin Chandler. The numbers suggest that the T shirt. 00:10:07 Speaker 5: Really has something to do with it, so he might not believe it, but the stats back it up. 00:10:10 Speaker 2: So Kentucky plays Florida today. I just got a question for the crowd. What percentage of you think we can win the game today? 00:10:17 Speaker 6: Oh? 00:10:17 Speaker 2: Nice, I like it. I know this sound. I did not. I definitely didn't think we were gonna win in Gainesville. I really didn't think we were gonna win in Lexington. I do think we have a shot today. I think that. You know, one of the things if you look at the at tournaments when you've played and they have not as long as you're not like, think about yesterday. Every team that won yesterday except one played the day before, and the one that didn't win, Auburn, had a huge lead and just gave it up. You almost had a scenario where all four teams start yesterday lost I think today Kentucky has a chance. The key though, is they gotta drew get to halftime within five points. We cannot be down double digits at half against Florida or we just will have no shot. 00:11:05 Speaker 5: Yeah, and with Florida it's really the opening stretch has killed them both games. For like the last thirty five minutes of both those losses, Kentucky and Florida are pretty even. I think even the second half they were tied. But in Gainesville you had Lee start off hot. I think they went up ten oh and then in Reperena they got off to a big start. So if you can just not let them get out in that ten oh eleven zero beginning like they have been, I think you can hang with them. 00:11:24 Speaker 2: I also think, you know, look, this crowd is bigger than it was yesterday, which was bigger than it was the day before. If you were to win today, then I think tomorrow this place would be absolutely flooded with UK fans. I mean, just to give an example, on ticket prices, so I told you get him price on Wednesday was eight dollars. Get in price yesterday at the end of this show was forty five dollars. The get in price right now, at least on my way to the show today was one hundred and forty five dollars. So it does seem like Ryan, you're gonna get a loud crowd now. Part that is Tennessee and Bandy play Ryan after Us today, So that is part of what it's gonna be as well. 00:12:04 Speaker 6: We've talked about this SEC crowd down here is long overdue to celebrate long overdue, to go up and down Broadway all weekend. If we can get to the weekend. Just when's last we went to the weekend? Twenty eighteen? Right nineteen? 00:12:17 Speaker 2: I mean last seven one two games was twenty eighteen. Last time we've been to the weekend was twenty nineteen. 00:12:23 Speaker 6: I mean, all the pressures on Florida, isn't it. I mean, we can go out and just play loose and just play basketball today, I don't. 00:12:29 Speaker 2: I mean they're probably gonna be a one seed either way. I don't really think there's any pressure on them. I think the pressure there's really no pressure. But this is a game where Kentucky I think could get away. And look, you win today, If you win today tomorrow, you've beaten both of those teams this year. There's no reason to go, Hey, why not go win the whole thing? 00:12:47 Speaker 4: Oh, if we win today, we're winning the whole damn thing. 00:12:49 Speaker 5: Let's just get over this hump. Nice little out there, Just get over this hump. Sure they've gotten us twice, there's the old cliche. You can't do it three times. What was the tournament? We were going to u against Florida. James Young slipped, We're down by one and had a moment to put him there. So this is gonna be redemption for twenty fourteen. 00:13:05 Speaker 2: And at twenty fourteen. That was kind of the start of the turnaround. I mean, if you remember, they squeezed by in the first round, they squeezed by in the second round, played Florida in the finals, played them right to the buzzer, James Young slipped, and all of a sudden the team got believed and then went to the championship game in the NCAAA. So you there's a lot on the line today. The big thing though, their bigs have absolutely destroyed US yep in both games in the second half. Our bigs have to play better Moreno's gotta be stronger, right, I mean our bigs, guy. I know we made the places at the end, but they got overwhelmed yesterday and they've gotten to play better today. 00:13:39 Speaker 6: Malachi can't get in foul trouble early. He needs down the floor and moldiaboate he's the guy that's kind of going guy. They can mustle up with him a little bit. He's kill probably play a lot of minutes today just for that reason. 00:13:48 Speaker 2: No, Diabat will play a ton. By the way, Diabot talked about this, think about this. He got up in the morning. I think he said it like I think his awakening time was like or excuse me, his fasting time. He had to finish eating at seven thirteen in the morning. Yesterday, he could not eat or drink any fluids until six fifty one PM. So he played that whole game no water, okay, no anything. And then, as he said in the postgame, at six fifty one, I will scarf down all the food in the world. I mean, that's pretty amazing. And now he's gonna be on his third day in a row with that today. 00:14:23 Speaker 5: And I love when he was asked, I mean six fifty one, not like I'm wait till seven. 00:14:27 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:14:27 Speaker 5: I think Pope even said they'll be in the middle of film and they're looking forward to getting most some food there while they're doing it. 00:14:32 Speaker 2: Six fifty one, So he will be doing that again today eight five nine, two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. We are here at ten Roof, a massive crowd of Kentucky fans ready to go. We got a surprise coming here in about thirty minutes. We will take a break and be right back. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. Walk back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio here live at ten Roof in Nashville. If you're in ten roof. If you're in Nashville, you could come up to ten roof. Place is packed, but you still you can come up upstairs say hello. They also have a downstairs as well playing music. J. D. Shelburn is playing here when we're done, up until the game starts, and uh maybe playing after the game as well. On this stage yesterday Shannon the Dude saying for three and a half straight hours after by the end, I could hear it in his voice, he'll be here in a minute. I couldn't believe it. 00:15:21 Speaker 6: And he was rocking, and this place was rocking. After our show, fans stayed here. They darn didn't have tickets watch the game. 00:15:27 Speaker 5: What And it's not like he's just standing here at a MIC's dead. My man works the stage. He's just back and forth. He did some things that might have been a little r rated. It looked like, but he knows how to put on oh lots of it. 00:15:41 Speaker 2: Uh. One person writes Matt. The most disappointed I've been all week was seeing Mario wearing red. I do not understand what that was like? What was that yesterday? He walked around in red and he people should have been mad at you. That's the worst thing I've ever seen. This morning, I was like, are you wearing orange today? What is your problem? But but you know he's learning. This is only a second SEC tournament, so you know it'll get better. 00:16:07 Speaker 6: Well, they had to have his fit match. He had a little patch on hist red. 00:16:11 Speaker 2: I didn't like it. If I if I'd known, I will also say this. Mario is staying with a group of forty something year old men. There's like ten of us and Mario and he is a great companion for the house. However, you can see how he's much younger. We all went to bed at midnight and we go in and then Mario goes, you know what, man, I think I'm going out and he so he ended up coming home at like three am, making a lot of noise. Mario had a big one yesterday. 00:16:39 Speaker 4: Sometimes you just got to do that. 00:16:40 Speaker 5: You know, Nashville's got a lot going on and you don't just want to stay in bed miss it all the fun. 00:16:44 Speaker 2: I agree with you one person rights, Matt. Maybe our best play we have is Aberdeen driving the lane, stopping pump faking and going up. He's as good as I've seen it that he really is. His body control. He will drive to the basket, draw the defense and most guys, including most guys on our team, then try to force it up. He lets the guy fly behind him, then takes a shot. I think he has been so excellent at that drew it and he made a big win last night doing it as well. 00:17:13 Speaker 5: That's his move. I mean you were bragging on his free throws earlier too. He also hadn't had more than like one turnover since January in a game. 00:17:19 Speaker 4: Since it's multi turnover game. Since January, he. 00:17:23 Speaker 2: Aberdeen has only had like six turnovers since the start of February. I mean, it's an unbelieve Like he has been unbelievable. 00:17:31 Speaker 4: Playing thirty five minutes. 00:17:33 Speaker 5: I know we miss low and you would obviously having another body would be great, but I don't know that you could ask for boit guard to play much better than he's played the last month or two. 00:17:40 Speaker 2: I totally agree with you. And and you know our bigs defensively they're struggling, but they're giving you points. Yes, you know yesterday I'll give moreno credit I say this, of course he'll miss it today. His free throw shooting when he gets fouled, He's he's become pretty much a money free throw shooter as well. 00:17:58 Speaker 6: Yeah, man, he mentioned Yellovich. Yet he gave you good minutes yesterday. He's kind of seem like he's getting little more physical of to getting into the postseason. But for Aberdeen, he's not even a point guard. He's a two guard. He has learned how to become a top notch barter guard this season. Yeah. 00:18:11 Speaker 2: Uh. By the way, I also think you have a rare situation today where Tennessee and Vanderbilt fans who go to this game might root for us. You're right, I mean that's yeah, But what if you if I wouldn't you root for if you were them? I mean, Florida's Florida's a lot better than we are. I think you're gonna root if I'm a Tennessee and Vanderbilt fan Drew, I'm probably rooting for Kentucky today. 00:18:33 Speaker 5: Let me catch one Balls fan with a T on their shirt here in for Kentucky. 00:18:37 Speaker 4: I would love to see that. I'll go up and introduce myself and welcome to the fan club. 00:18:41 Speaker 2: Wouldn't you. 00:18:42 Speaker 4: I mean, you're making a good point. Yeah, if it was our world. 00:18:45 Speaker 2: If it was Tennessee Florida in the first game in US Bandy, I'm rooting for Tennessee because I would think we'd have a better chance of beating them. 00:18:53 Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, I completely agree. I think that's how it should be. 00:18:55 Speaker 5: But it'd just be a weird sighting seeing all that orange and they're actually rooting for Kentucky. 00:18:59 Speaker 4: But it makes sense on from their their point. 00:19:01 Speaker 6: That's a crazy world even think about it. But we would do, we would, if I would, we would, I know it. 00:19:06 Speaker 2: I mean I would root for them, you know, either of the like today, if we win. I don't even know who I really want to win between those two, because I think Kentucky matches up with both of them pretty well. Who's up next? John is up? John? Go ahead? John May go for it, John. 00:19:26 Speaker 6: Yeah, Tom Town could be a charm. 00:19:28 Speaker 4: You never know. 00:19:29 Speaker 2: All right, you cannot put us on speaker. You gotta talk on your phone. 00:19:35 Speaker 7: I'm on the phone. 00:19:36 Speaker 2: Okay, go for it. 00:19:37 Speaker 7: You weren't, Yeah, okay, sorry, go times a charm. I think we can, we can might be able to beat him. I got him win the National Championship. But that don't mean we can't beat him to day. 00:19:49 Speaker 2: I like it. Why not anything else? 00:19:53 Speaker 7: No, that's about it. 00:19:54 Speaker 2: Just long, okay there. He just wanted to say we got a chance to beat him. 00:19:57 Speaker 4: Third times charm? 00:19:58 Speaker 2: Third time is uh? Third times to charge? After the game, I will say, Mark Pope, I thought seemed to be to be in a lot better. Like he was happy, go lucky. He kept saying, we came here to win five and five days now we're up to number three. You know, he's taken criticism, he's had been second guests. But if I think today, you know, if he loses, I don't think it changes a whole lot. But if they win today, I think it's a huge notch in his belt in terms of cause, you know, he made the Sweet sixteen last year. If you go beat a Florida team that does have a chance to win the National Championship, I think that would be amazing. 00:20:36 Speaker 4: Yeah, and you can see it in him and the players. 00:20:38 Speaker 5: I think maybe they might have been a little tight on Wednesday first getting down here, we all had that nightmare scenario ownerhead if you lose that. But then they come out they looked to lose playing free. I mean they gave up the big lead but had a great start. So I think you go in today with some house money and just have some fun and see what happens. 00:20:52 Speaker 2: Thirteen and a half point underdog. By the way, Ryan, the biggest underdog Kentucky's ever been in the history of the SEC term. 00:20:59 Speaker 6: I saw that that's a big number, and like Drew said, take out that first five minutes of the game on Saturday, the last thirty five minutes of the game, we went toe to toe with them. 00:21:07 Speaker 2: Everybody, welcome, my good friend Shannon, the dude who just got here. 00:21:11 Speaker 8: I heard somebody say that I just woke up. That's not true. I've been doing the pre show from my hotel room. But it's good to be here with you guys. Glad we made it to Friday. 00:21:18 Speaker 2: Yes, what did you think about the game yesterday before you started rocking all night? Hey? 00:21:23 Speaker 8: I mean it was great. They got up about sixteen. They had multiple opportunities to just blow out Missouri. They let him back in the game. But I'm just happy that they won back to back games for the first time since twenty eighteen. Twenty eighteen, can't believe it's been that long. 00:21:35 Speaker 2: There were three moments in that game yesterday. I got nervous. One Chandler had an open three missed, Cam had an open three missed. I think both those shots would have put the game away. And then I was really worried about the play where Moreno missed the dunk because they went on a run and I thought, are we going to look back and see him miss that dunk? Is a big moment, But again fought back through it. 00:21:54 Speaker 5: Yeah, with that dunk, it just felt like a stretch where Kentucky could not do anything right and Missouri was getting whatever they wanted. Missouri is getting a little cocky and confident. You could see it, Mitchell especially, But as we've said, it starts to tell I mean, Kentucky did this a few times LSU several times in the regular season. They made the winning plays down the stretch when it looked like maybe the flipped the script it flipped. You know, we the flipped the flipped script. 00:22:15 Speaker 2: We boy, girl, I don't let me ask you how many of you all have found let's leave cal to the side, how many of you have found Todd Golden to kind of be the least likable coach now in the SEC is everybody I know there are people who are like, well, we still want him. I get that. It would be very nice to see him take an ail to us because the whining and you know, after the first game he goes, well, they paid twenty two million dollars. After the second game he yelled and screamed and all that. I would love to see him go down at our hands. Today, we're gonna take a break eight five nine two twenty two eighty seven. We'll be right back here at ten ruf KSR walk a Boyes Kentucky Sports Radio here live, yeah here at ten rooms sponsored by Burt Tavern, Bourbon and Clayton and Croon. Great Crowd. It is shorting us here a five nine two eight twenty two eighty seven. Kentucky and Florida play at one o'clock today on ESPN. Let's talk about some of the results from yesterday Louisville Cardinals loss that's really good. Went down to Miami. They are out Duke, nearly got beat and they ended up winning right at the end. But the big debate is going to be Auburn lost, but so did Miami of Ohio. So Miami of Ohio now got a loss in the first round of their tournament, and it looks like it literally could come down to Miami of Ohio and Auburn to get in. Who do you think deserves to be in the tournament more? We'll start with you drew Miami Ohio thirty one and one, or Auburn seventeen and sixteen. I'll be the bad guy. 00:24:01 Speaker 4: Auburn. 00:24:02 Speaker 5: You didn't play anybody and you just lost to UMass when you first got to your conference tournament. Congratulations on your regular season. But I don't think they're very good. I think they're gonna get killed whoever they play. 00:24:12 Speaker 6: Ryan, I'm going on Miami Ohio. I'm still riding them. Seventeen and sixteen to get in as an at large is almost a little embarrassing to me. So but Miami Ohio, I only lost, but they beat everybody else. I'm voting for them. 00:24:25 Speaker 8: See I was originally against Miami Ohio making the tournament as an at large. But if you tell me they're going up against the team that's seventeen and sixteen, that team doesn't belong in there. If it was eighteen and thirteen or something like that, I would say you take that team. But I think in this case, you take Miami Ohio. 00:24:39 Speaker 2: I would also have noted if that stupid referee had not called the push off against Colin Chandler, they'd already be out. They would not have a chance of getting in. How many of you would rather see Miami of Ohio raise your head? How many would rather see Auburn? Like three people? 00:24:55 Speaker 6: So where are you staying? 00:24:57 Speaker 2: I flipped. I was like Shannon. Originally I said at Auburn. But the reality is this is supposed to Neither one of those teams is gonna win anything. So I would much prefer to watch Miami Ohio. 00:25:08 Speaker 3: Let them actually play somebody and see what happens. 00:25:10 Speaker 2: It won't happen, but I'd like to see Miami of Ohio play Aufern. I think that would have been that would have been must see television. I'd say put them in the first four because I don't think they're great. Put them in the game in Dayton. I think everybody will watch it to see if they have a chance of winning. That's what I would do. 00:25:26 Speaker 1: Right. 00:25:27 Speaker 6: The atmosphere could be crazy if they put Miami Ohio every day. 00:25:30 Speaker 2: Yeah, mean Miami Ohio is only like an hour for Dayton. That would be That's what I would those. 00:25:34 Speaker 8: Playing games normally, nobody cares about the teams unless you're a fan of those teams. I think more people would be watching Miami Ohio just see what they do. 00:25:41 Speaker 2: Yet, Miami Ohio gets the Power Conference team in that game, I watch it. I would definitely watch. Oh yeah. 00:25:46 Speaker 4: I like their story and I'd be rooting for them if they played. 00:25:48 Speaker 5: I just I don't like rewarding that resume, especially the way they lost so quickly in their conference tournament. 00:25:53 Speaker 2: If they go to the. 00:25:54 Speaker 5: Championship game and lose, maybe, but I mean, you got knocked out right away by U mess. 00:25:58 Speaker 2: Eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Who's up next? David is up there? David? Go ahead, David big? What's going on? 00:26:08 Speaker 4: David? 00:26:10 Speaker 9: Nothing? 00:26:11 Speaker 10: Just hanging out bread the counting to watch the game. I come here every March manst with my watch, with my aunts. 00:26:16 Speaker 2: And well, good, what do you got? 00:26:18 Speaker 10: And they want to come to chass Barton and they want to come to Chaos Bar and Grill and my aunt and he wants to meet Ryan. 00:26:24 Speaker 2: Well, I hope she does. By the way, we'll have the game at Chaos Bar today. Had a great atmosphere yesterday. So go on and get in there. Go ahead, anything else, David. 00:26:34 Speaker 11: Yes, I'm gonna say. Is this I I I think it's I know it's a small feat, but it's it's it's not likely that it's that Kentucky. 00:26:47 Speaker 10: Loses three times to a team, you know what I mean. It rarely happened. 00:26:52 Speaker 2: So we've played a team I appreciate the call. In the history of Kentucky, we've played a team that beat us twice in the regular season. In the tournament Drew, we've played them six times. Kentucky's records three and three the third time in those games, so that we have lost to a team three times only three times, and Alabama was one of them last year. 00:27:10 Speaker 4: It's a lot of threes. 00:27:11 Speaker 5: Also, did you know Kentucky is three and one when playing on Friday the thirteenth to keep the numerology. 00:27:16 Speaker 2: That's exactly right. It is Friday and thirteen. 00:27:19 Speaker 4: A lot of threes here, so there's. 00:27:21 Speaker 2: Some numbers there, Shannon. I know you believe in all the weird cult and lately. 00:27:27 Speaker 3: A lot of numerology talk on the show. 00:27:29 Speaker 8: This week we had the guy that keeps calling in and tries to compare, like eight minus three is five and I don't even know what that means. 00:27:35 Speaker 3: But we've had a lot of that talk this week. 00:27:37 Speaker 4: So maybe it means something. I don't know. 00:27:38 Speaker 2: I did note for those of you that care about refereeing, they had Dug Shows on the game last night, which means he will not be on the game today. They usually do Knights and Knights, but we could but we could get Pat Adams. He was laughing at that pop for Dug Shows. That was a negative pop for Dutch shows. The oh, we don't have to see Dug Shows. Yeah. 00:28:01 Speaker 5: I feel like there's much worse in the conference than Doug these days. To be honest, I feel like since Cali left it hadn't been too bad. I mean, he loves a good monitor review. He'll pull up a chair and watch a replay anytime. But I feel like he hadn't been too. 00:28:11 Speaker 8: Bad to another thing with these monitor reviews. I mean, how many monitor reviews that we had just in the last two games. 00:28:16 Speaker 2: It is so strange to me, this like decision that even a graze to the face is now a flagrant And yet we had the one play where Aberdeen got hit in the face and they didn't call it, so they're calling it. I don't understand why he wasn't why that wasn't. 00:28:32 Speaker 6: Called at then one where Jasper took an elbowl right to the face when he went up and they didn't call that one a flagrant foul. 00:28:37 Speaker 2: What do you think about Pope's substitution pattern? I actually thought yesterday pretty good he is now. He did not play away in Aberdeen separately except for just like a twenty second period, even though both of them had two fouls. Aberdeen, by the way, got he played the last eight minutes of the first half with two fouls and he didn't get his third. 00:28:58 Speaker 5: I thought that was big, that's big, and I know foul Trouble played a lot with the big guys, but I thought we'd see garretton. I didn't think he played ten minutes. I mean, he was big down the stretch. But between having four fouls, we didn't see a lot of him. I didn't think we would get a second BG game where he's hitting three pointers, but I thought we'd get a little more than nine minutes or whatever. 00:29:14 Speaker 2: He head, Yeah, who's up next? Bobby is up next? Bobby? Go ahead? 00:29:20 Speaker 9: Hey guys, I got two quick things. So first off, someone called in yesterday on the post game and was talking about the referees and if they great him or not. And I don't know if y'all heard, but Tom and Goose was talking about the guy right next to him, was there too great those officials? And Goose said that every time there was a call, he'd nudge him a little bit. And then the second thing is, I'm gonna take up for you, Matt. Brian keeps messing with you about the bull. Well, how about if we wins, if we beat Florida today, Brian has to get on a bull. 00:29:53 Speaker 2: I like it. Ryan, Will you join me on a bull if we beat Florida today? 00:29:58 Speaker 6: I am known to ride a mechanic after a few margarita's, So yeah, baby too. 00:30:04 Speaker 4: I have a question, are you all riding together? 00:30:06 Speaker 2: Or do you go? 00:30:07 Speaker 4: And then he got. 00:30:10 Speaker 2: All right, everybody, we have a special guest. I want you to welcome the Tennessee Titans cheerleaders are here. 00:30:19 Speaker 6: Wow and they wow. 00:30:23 Speaker 2: Hello, Tennessee Titans cheerleaders. They are here. They have a special gift for Tennessee Titans fan Drew Franklin. 00:30:30 Speaker 4: I did not know about this. 00:30:32 Speaker 2: Wow, as I understand, Titans cheerleader. This is the new Tennessee Titans football uniform and they have come to present one to mister Drew Franklin at Tennessee Titans fan. 00:30:44 Speaker 4: This is awesome, Thank you. 00:30:46 Speaker 2: How about that? Look at that? What do we think about that? It's very very nice. I like it. 00:30:54 Speaker 3: This is a surprise to me. 00:30:56 Speaker 8: It's a surprise to me to talk about two guys on a ball on the Titan. 00:30:59 Speaker 2: Just so you know, put your microphone on there. The Tennessee Titans yesterday contact us and they said that they heard that they had a massive fan and Drew Franklin. 00:31:09 Speaker 4: So I want to correct. 00:31:10 Speaker 2: So not only are they bringing the uniform, I also want to say this. The only reason we're doing this show today at ten roof, we weren't planning on it was so the Titans could present this. Drew is one of the first people to get it. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: Oh, this is the greatest day of my life. 00:31:24 Speaker 2: Than you tighten up. 00:31:25 Speaker 4: We're gonna beat Florida. I'm gonna throw this on real quick. 00:31:31 Speaker 2: There you go. 00:31:33 Speaker 6: That's really cool. 00:31:34 Speaker 2: So even though there are a lot of people here aren't Titans fans, why don't you on our way out lead us with your new Titans jersey and a cat's chant. You ready to go? You know the cats chant? 00:31:46 Speaker 12: We'll follow all right, Hey, tee yes cats Cats. 00:31:58 Speaker 2: We'll take a break and be right back. A five nine two eight, twenty two eighty seven. I am happy about this. I would assume at least some, if not all, the people in the crowd. Travis Perry had a big game last night and got Old Mess and upset victory yesterday. 00:32:48 Speaker 3: Nice little love for a dunk he point big at the end of the game. 00:32:52 Speaker 2: Any Yeah, and he got the rebound that won it at the end. I mean he was I literally said on the final play, I said, I can't believe Travis Perry is in here, and then he get it's the end up winning rebound. 00:33:01 Speaker 4: I mean he did everything. You got the game winning rebound. 00:33:03 Speaker 5: I some free throws, took one to the face to get samto kicked out in the first half. 00:33:07 Speaker 4: I mean Travis Perry was doing it all. 00:33:09 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:33:09 Speaker 4: They gave that. 00:33:10 Speaker 2: That was a huge play in the game, and a flagrant too against Travis. Probably his best game at Old Miss, at least of the ones I've seen and heard about. 00:33:19 Speaker 6: I saw a Chris Beard in the post game. They asked him about that play and then went out Travis may have a concussion, and when he opened his eyes he said, I can hit the free throws. 00:33:27 Speaker 9: Ye. 00:33:27 Speaker 2: Well, he certainly didn't have a concussion, he kept playing. But that's the bottom half of the bracket is completely exploded. A lot, a lot of the teams are out. Arkansas and Alabama debut today. But Old Miss, you know, Travis Perry playing well, and then Oklahoma probably playing for their coaches job. Porter Moser keeps winning as well. 00:33:45 Speaker 8: Do you think Old Miss has one more on them? I mean, if you're Alabama and Arkansas, you don't play till Friday. Then you get teams that are playing from Wednesday. 00:33:52 Speaker 2: I think Oklahoma could beat Arkansas, but I do not think Old Miss is gonna beat Alabama today. No. 00:33:57 Speaker 4: I was with some Ole Miss fans last night. 00:33:59 Speaker 5: They thought that they were leaving their first game and they were even thrown off to be playing a second and now their heads really in a pretzel of what they're supposed to be doing this weekend. 00:34:06 Speaker 4: But I think it'll be the end of the road with their next game. 00:34:08 Speaker 2: They so yesterday, I Trice spent more time watching the other conferences than I had in the Big twelve. You know, they had that glass floor that they were using that that actually was was gray. They ended up deciding last night to pull the floor and replace it because players you know, we talked when they first announced it. I said, aren't players gonna fall down? It's glass, it can't be turns out people were falling down and a couple players got hurt. One guy said he had a migraine because it was so hard to look at the floor. And they are now replacing the floor for the semi finals, and. 00:34:44 Speaker 8: Like for Big Blue Madness, I think this is great, but when you're trying to you're playing in a conference tournament and teams are playing to get to the NCAA tournament, they're slipping and falling. 00:34:52 Speaker 3: You can't sacrifice a cool looking court for players safety. 00:34:55 Speaker 2: The migraine thing was crazy to me. Ryan the guy said, you know, when you sit there and stare at the floor, it's kind of blinking. And he said by the end of the game, but I had to migrate. 00:35:04 Speaker 6: I can't believe there was somebody who sat in that office and thought this was a good idea. Let's debut this floor at the Big twelve conference tournament. 00:35:11 Speaker 2: It's ugly too. If you try to watch the game on television, I think it's hard to watch. I can't for all the cool things you could do with that floor. They had this, they had this ugly color of asphalt on the floor. I didn't really understand it. 00:35:24 Speaker 4: You can barely see the three point line. 00:35:26 Speaker 5: I know when it's been used in the past, like in the NBA, and even at Madness, players say they'd be drilling. They'll just hit a dead spot on the court. It's it's neat, but it's not gonna work out and shouldn't be a part of. 00:35:36 Speaker 8: It was like a weird like glow on the ball when they're dribbling by the logos. I mean, you know, they could do really cool things with it, but again, I don't think it's worth it for the tournament. 00:35:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's they're switching it now for the big games. Who's up next? Adam is up next? Adam, Go ahead, Adam, Adam? 00:35:56 Speaker 13: Hey what's that? 00:35:57 Speaker 6: Man? 00:35:58 Speaker 2: Go for it? Man. 00:36:00 Speaker 9: I have a big feeling that Aberdeen's gonna put up twenty plus against this former teams day. 00:36:06 Speaker 3: And you know, if I had to give a prediction, I'd say. 00:36:08 Speaker 9: Like eighty four to eighty Cats when yeah. 00:36:14 Speaker 2: That's a great question. How many appreciate the call? How many points do we have to score to win today? Knowing how much they put up what's the number that you think we have to reach in order to win the game. 00:36:25 Speaker 4: Eight. 00:36:26 Speaker 2: It's more than that. 00:36:27 Speaker 4: I'm saying, yeah, I say eightyn. 00:36:29 Speaker 2: That you and I think alike on these eighty seven was gonna be my number two. I think you got I think you gotta hit We have to hit threes, like we have to do a lot of stuff well, and I think eighty seven is a minimum the number because they're going to score eighty without question, you're not gonna be able to stop them from scoring eight. 00:36:48 Speaker 5: And one thing they did a lot and roup is you know they're so good at rebounding. Their guards just leak out and take off because they know those big guys are getting the rebound and that leads to some quick points by them, and Kentucky's got to try to contain that little better than they didn't like that. 00:37:01 Speaker 2: One good thing is I will say this, I don't know how much he's gonna be able to play, but defensively, Cam Williams gives us some options there that we did not have when we played him the last couple of times. I actually think Cam is if he can give us fifteen minutes rime, we'll actually be very helpful in trying to guard all those bigs. 00:37:19 Speaker 6: Absolutely, just having that linked out there on the wing on those guys. He hit it hit the three from the logo. Kind of quiet yesterday, but just having him out there and just think the defenses have to pay attention to him, so stretches the defense. 00:37:30 Speaker 2: And I'm more concerned about his defense because we you know, when we were playing at Florida, Trent Noah was trying to guard those guys and that didn't really work, and Jasper was trying to go those guys and that didn't really work. I actually think Cam can give you some minutes because your bigs are gonna get in foul trouble. That's just what's gonna happen. 00:37:47 Speaker 8: He will, and it'll be interesting to see how many guys that haven't had much playing time in the first couple of games get minutes because of again the fatigue thing coming in with three games in three days. Florida hasn't played the games this Kentucky six days ago. 00:37:59 Speaker 2: Will think about your Brandon Garrison with all the blocks yesterday. Is this is this gonna be the Brandon Garrison Tournament. I know he can score, but is this gonna be the BG time. Where's where's the Mario BG time? 00:38:10 Speaker 5: We're living on BEG standard time right now. My favorite thing he did yesterday Maybe you shouldn't do this, but uh, you know he had to let Missouri know they're going home and drew a little technical. 00:38:18 Speaker 6: A little yeah. 00:38:19 Speaker 2: What did we think about that play at the end? 00:38:22 Speaker 5: Mario has the best video I've seen, and you know Brandon said something bad because Sean Phillips turns around, yep, so quick to react. 00:38:30 Speaker 2: I have to say I love BG, but that was a stud Once again, we did the stupidest play at the end. You're up seven diabate just like scraps at the ball. If he he was half an inch from hitting that guy in the face, and if he hits that guy in the face, and they get two free throws for the flagrant, two more for the foul, and then they get the ball, Like what are y'all doing? And then Brandon garrits, I know you want to talk trash, but let the horn go off. I mean, I couldn't believe it. Ryan heat that he there's thirteen seconds left in the. 00:39:09 Speaker 6: Game, But what's Kentucky's record for brand And Garrison gets a technic, I know, but like, no, what is it? 00:39:14 Speaker 3: You already had the game won, though, but the. 00:39:16 Speaker 2: Game was over, And the only chance they have is if you do something stupid right there. It's the only way they could have a shot. 00:39:22 Speaker 6: You need to make sure his son's there. They seem to undfeed when he gets the technical on his son's there. 00:39:26 Speaker 5: Here's a crazy idea. How about let's just get a technical to start the game for Garrison? 00:39:30 Speaker 2: Why not? He is Brandon Garrison, Kentucky is now nine and oh when he gets a technical or a flagrant foul, that woman's like, yeah, go punch somebody in the face. Brown, I'll see how all right? Well, who's up next? Free bird is up next? 00:39:43 Speaker 3: Free bird? 00:39:44 Speaker 4: Go ahead? 00:39:47 Speaker 13: Hey, guys, wish I was down there. I called into Larry Gloverer Live and talked to him for yesterday and asked him if there was had ever been a thirty team, excuse me, a thirty win team not to get in and the host he could come back is a few years ago Billmont was twenty six to four and they beat Clemson and NC State and did not get in. 00:40:07 Speaker 2: No, there's no, there's never been. There's never been a thirty win team not get in. But there's also never been a thirty win team that had this kind of record because usually they play at least one or two good teams in Miami didn't. But you gotta put them in. Now, their numbers, if you were to just do a Mark Pope like analytic thing, their numbers would not put them in. They're gonna if they get in that large, they will be the lowest net and RPI team to ever get one in the history of the tournament. So, I mean, either way, the NCAA is gonna have to set a precedent whether they put them in or don't. 00:40:44 Speaker 13: You just took the words out of my mouth or be a president, said Joe Lonardi said they will be in. 00:40:49 Speaker 2: Yeah, but but Joe Londi I like Joe Lonardi and he'll be on my show Sunday night. He also didn't do a very good job with his bracket last year. I mean, just he's just guessing like everybody else. He's better at it than we are, but he's just guessing. 00:41:03 Speaker 13: Can I ask one more question? 00:41:04 Speaker 2: Yes? Quickly? 00:41:07 Speaker 13: The court was it hecked by Ron Jeremy there in the Big Twilves. 00:41:12 Speaker 2: I shouldn't have let you say the second one A. I'm nine, twenty two eighty seven. I appreciate the call. You don't have to try to be funny. That wasn't it? Cats in Florida, Kentucky. It's been bet down. It was thirteen and a half. It's down to eleven and a half. Would you bet the Cats? You mean what I bet at the moment it came out. 00:41:31 Speaker 5: I bet it the second I saw it was on the app yesterday at about ten minutes after our game ended. 00:41:37 Speaker 2: I like Kentucky to cover the spread. Shannon, Yeah, Bill, both games we have played them competitively, so I think they can cover that. I do as well. We're gonna take a break and come back for the second, actually second thirty minutes. We are here at ten roof. This is Kentucky Sports Radio.
