Speaker 1: Welcome everyone. It is the Local Toy Dealers KSR Postgame Show. I am Matt Jones here live in the studio. I'm never in the studio for the postgame show, but I left my equipment in uh in Louisville, so I'm here with Billy.

00:00:17
Speaker 2: Billy, what are you?

00:00:18
Speaker 1: How you going to answer the phone with me sitting in here? You're just gonna just put people immediately on hold.

00:00:22
Speaker 2: I can only do it during the break, or putting people right on hold and then getting their name during the break.

00:00:26
Speaker 1: We tell you, why don't we open up the phones. You can go as the phone and I'll talk till you come back. Oh do do? Yeah, I can do that. Eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Don't turn the music up before you go. Right now, you go answer the phone, open up the lines. Eight five nine two twenty two eighty seven. Well, I'll talk about the game. One oh three to sixty two. Kentucky wins. Kentucky wins by forty one points. Forty one points for the guy who wore number forty one when he was at Kentucky. I thought it was a very encouraging game, very encouraging game. Because they win by forty one. They play a team that was what fourth in the country and scoring last year and return most of their team, and they held them to sixty two points. So not only did we score one hundred and three, we'd play enough defense. They score nineteen below their average from last season. And I don't think Kentucky played particularly great and scored one hundred and three points, and that's a pretty good sign. Your best player, Jackson Robinson, had eight points, and yet you score over one hundred points. It was just, you know, we could break down and I hope people will the way we play and the good stuff and the bad stuff we got to see and we'll talk about it, but just overall, what a fun environment. I mean, I knew it was gonna be cool when I was at the bar, got there at like four fifteen in the place was full, because it wasn't like that for the first two exhibition games, and it wasn't like that, to be quite frank with you, in the non conference the last three or four years. But it was tonight because this fan base is ready. This fan base is ready for this era, and they're ready for playing games like this and stomping people right. I mean, we're used to winning games like this. I don't know, in the last few years, seventy nine, sixty four or you know, a couple times we've lost, but more of the point it's usually been like you win, but it's a five point game at halftime. This was you know, we came out and I don't think we ever trailed. Saw a lot of good stuff. Let me just go over some player thoughts for me. I mean, I'm not the only one that thinks this way. He was the MVP by the broadcast, but otega Oway twenty one points, eight of nine, shooting three of three from three. I think the storyline for me of the season, as far as it goes to individual players, is that I underrated that guy coming into the year, maybe because I just didn't know as much about him. He had played for a big program, so he hadn't won like a lot of awards. But the kid can play. He shoots well, he's a good defender, makes great passes eight of nine from the field like that kid. You may remember me saying a lot during the offseason, I feel like we were one player short from being great, and I still think that was true unless he ends up being that player, right, Like, if he's a lot I kind of thought of him as like a six man. And if he ends up being a guy who can get you twenty one, he not gonna get you twenty one every game, but let's say he could get you fourteen every game. Well, now all of a sudden, you got that second guy. So he's been for me the surprise of the of the year so far. Great game from Kobe Braa seven for eight from the field, four for four from three and eighteen points, four for four from three. So between he and Oway seven for seven from three. Now the rest of the team went four for seventeen from three. But those guys were money. Well, Matt Butler, I thought played good defense. You know, I still think there's more to come from Andrew Carr. But Jackson Robinson only had eight you know. The only if you wanted to be picky or bigs got a little you know, our BIG's got a little aggressive. I Mary Williams had four turnovers. I don't know if we need to necessarily try to take as many guys one on one Amory, but he's still finished in double digits. He had double double twelve points, twelve boards, that's pretty good. Or twelve points thirteen boards. So I love but I love this team. I love to watch them. I love the way they play. They're fun. They can put an eight to old run on you quickly. At one point, I think we led points in transition, like thirty four to two or something. It was just a good It's just this team is exactly what this fan base need. And we're gonna get to Saturday and we're gonna play Buck Now. I think that's gonna be a great environment. And then Duke next Tuesday, and it's on as opposed to to tomorrow, which is a Tuesday, I kind of dread. I can't wait for next Tuesday. It's gonna be fun at Kentucky basketball is gonna be a lot of fun this year. If you were at the game a five, nine, two eighth, twenty two eighty seven, or even if you watched it, home Cats not only with a big victory, but a fun victory. And then the Pope era starts with a huge w forty one point win. We'll take a break and be right back. You got the phone lines full, they're full, all right, So when the show goes on, you just like punch him on. So if you call like he's not gonna say hello to you, you'll just be immediately put on correct all right, because that's the only way we can do this with me. Here, we'll take a break and be right back. This is the Local Toy Dealers KSR Postgame Show. Welcome back. It is the Local Toy Dealers KSR Postgame Show. Billy, it looks like I'm gonna hit a fourteen team parlay to start tonight.

00:05:50
Speaker 2: Fourteen teams.

00:05:52
Speaker 1: Fourteen teams. Now, it was, before you get too excited, it was a fourteen team money line parlay. I just picked fourteen heavy heavy favorites.

00:06:03
Speaker 2: Okay, so you didn't win any money.

00:06:05
Speaker 1: I mean it was. It was one to one, so I bet one hundred and I went a hundred. Okay, but would you like to know the teams real quick? Yeah?

00:06:13
Speaker 2: Please?

00:06:13
Speaker 1: I picked Butler over Missouri State Win, Tennessee over Gardener Web, Louisville over Moorehead, Providence over Central Connecticut State, Syracuse over Lemoyne, Pittsburgh over Radford, Dating over Saint Francis, Saint Joseph, Navy. That was a little close. Seaton Hall Saint Peter's that's what almost got me. Saint Peter's nearly won. They almost did it again, Michigan, Cleveland State, West Virginia, Robert Morris, Saint John's, Fordham, Harvard, meyrist In, Michigan State Monument. All of them were pluck minus two thousand or greater. But when you added them all together, you about what double double my money?

00:06:47
Speaker 2: Oh well, no, it's hard to make money early in the basketball season.

00:06:50
Speaker 3: I've heard.

00:06:50
Speaker 1: This is what I always do early in the year. Take like ten to fifteen big favorites, bet them just to win, and then hope there's no huge upset, and usually there's one game that's closed. Tonight he was seating all Saint Peter's, but seating all hung on and now we're celebrating.

00:07:08
Speaker 2: Got the Cats win and a fourteen team parlor.

00:07:10
Speaker 1: Fourteen fourteen teams sounds a lot better than the amount of money. Yeah, just leave that part off. Yes, two eighty seven, let's get started. I actually walked from my house down here to the studio, so I passed by everybody, and there was such happiness coming outside the arena. Let's see what the callers are like. Who's first? Caleb, Caleb go ahead, turn it upset, Go ahead, Caleb?

00:07:37
Speaker 4: What's up, Matt?

00:07:38
Speaker 1: What's going on? All right? There you go, good start Caleb?

00:07:47
Speaker 2: All right, he's gone. How about Johnny Versaicka.

00:07:50
Speaker 1: I was excited about Caleb and first start? Well it was an airball. That's okay, Johnny Versacei'll be there. They'll go ahead, Johnny.

00:07:59
Speaker 5: Hey man. You know, I would just say, this is just refreshing. I mean, we were prepared, We played a fun style. We looked like we were competent and not just like turning the ball over and dribbling the ball to death.

00:08:16
Speaker 3: Yes, super excited.

00:08:21
Speaker 5: You know, even if even if we went out and shot the ball terrible, it would be fun to watch.

00:08:27
Speaker 1: I agree. And and the thing about that, like, I love the fact that we shot under fifty percent from three. I mean we only made eleven threes and we still scored one hundred and three points.

00:08:40
Speaker 5: Well under fifty percent from three is you know, no, I mean that's not good.

00:08:45
Speaker 1: Yes, but I guess more than point than the under fifty percent is that we only made eleven and we still scored one hundred and three.

00:08:54
Speaker 6: Absolutely, and you know, and just it it just feels so different, you know, coming into this year, you know, like you said, I mean, we don't know a lot of these players.

00:09:05
Speaker 5: It seems like, you know, we had all this excitement about all these names that were coming in and but the product on the floor was just not fun to watch. And this is the opposite. I mean, we might not know every single player, but man, it's fun to watch. And it doesn't even it doesn't even feel like it matters who's out there at the time. It just feels like we can execute, and that's something that's been missing for years.

00:09:32
Speaker 1: Totally agree with everything you said, Johnny. I appreciate it. I mean, everybody can score, you know. I sometimes I wish our bigs didn't feel like they could score quite as much as they do. But they also dunk on some people's head, so that's fun. But the other guys, it's just anyone who shoots. Anyone who shoots, I feel confident anyone anyone out there except Garrison shooting a three, I'm for it. You know, he shot one long too early in the game, Billy, and I was like no, and then I go, Man, we used to do that all the time last year, all the.

00:10:09
Speaker 2: Time that was the preferred shot. But I really enjoyed the first five minutes of the game. Yeah, I don't know what it was.

00:10:14
Speaker 1: They were really on the first They didn't even chew well those first five minutes, but just the way they were playing, they got steals. I just really passed the Patrick Mahan. Give me you wish that you could be as good as Patrick beat him in the Super Bowl. Oh did he get knocked out? Oh no, he can't. Oh if he's hurt, that's bad. Well anyway, a great, great performance. I love the backcourt with Oway and Butler is a defensive nightmare for people. And they get their hands on the ball, which gets the fast I mean a thirty four to two fast breaks at one point. I don't know where that finished, but it's just so refreshing and fun to watch. And he was not over the line of scrimmage. So sorry, Billy. Who's next? Sam? Sam? What's up? Sam? That I'm going good? I hope I'm better than Holme's ankle. Man. It looks like you are right there, go ahead.

00:11:12
Speaker 7: I felt.

00:11:12
Speaker 8: What was special to me is when Kurt came into the game. He just brings that energy. I mean, you saw that push that he just wanted to get down the court. But these guys are just are just playing real basketball, making the extra passes of a half of We've seen that in a little bit but colored before. So I mean, it's really just refreshing to watch.

00:11:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it is. It's refreshing and it's fun.

00:11:37
Speaker 9: You know.

00:11:37
Speaker 1: I like Kur a lot. I think he's probably he had five assists, no points, so you're right, he does. He does push the pace. You know, he's the only one I'd like to see him get going, uh from a scoring perspective, because that hasn't happened yet. But you're exactly right. I love I love the way I love the pace all these guys play at. They never stop, they never stop going. There's never a moment, sir, where like it feels like they take uh you know, they take a step back or they slow down, appreciate the call. There's people online saying that might be an achilles.

00:12:19
Speaker 2: That would be terrible and he just had to get helped off.

00:12:25
Speaker 1: That would stink. If that's an achilles, like that would be terrible. I hate to see that, you know what I mean.

00:12:32
Speaker 2: Well, there's already so much great quarterback playing in the league right now. Now that I mean, he's this guy.

00:12:37
Speaker 1: Has to be like one of the best of all time, and to lose on to lose his an achilles, that would just stink. I hope that's not the I hope that's that's I hope that's not what it is. Who's next, Bobby, Bobby? How are you, Bobby?

00:12:50
Speaker 10: I'm doing good.

00:12:52
Speaker 1: What's going on?

00:12:56
Speaker 10: I'm actually watching the game again.

00:13:00
Speaker 1: Fine, I can see that.

00:13:01
Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, And I'm so excited for this team. Every player on this team can set out to shoot the ball, and I think this is gonna be a great season. I think that. I think Cone fans haven't been this excited for a season, and what eight ten years last year.

00:13:19
Speaker 1: That's a great question.

00:13:20
Speaker 11: When is the last time?

00:13:21
Speaker 1: When is the last time a season has started with this much excitement? I mean you, I certainly think in twenty fifteen there was that excitement because they we felt like they could be amazing. I can't remember if in seventeen with with Fox and Monk, we knew how good those guys were going to be on late Yeah, they did kind of come on late game. Yeah it may have been you may be right, I mean it may have been fifteen. Maybe the Murray Uless sixteen team, but like it's it's not it's been a while.

00:13:53
Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, And I think you know, we've talked about what we had and goal it was great. He's for this program at that time. And I think I think Pope is a coach we need it this time. I think that we've got to turn the page from coach Cal and look to the future with Pope and that make this Kentucky team great again. And and I think it's gonna happen. And people say that a lot of people said that, you know, coach CAW's gone, this team, how they're gonna recruit, Well, Kentucky basketball was here, what you said, everyone said long before Cal, and we'll be here long after we're gone. And you can see with the recruit commitment that Pope is gonna be able to recruit here. That's not gonna be a problem. And I think we're gonna be We're gonna be a great team to watch this year. I don't know, you know how far we can go, but it's gonna be fun put on SEC tournaments, you know, with teams that do good in their tournament, in their in their league, tur win titles.

00:15:01
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I appreciate the call. I'm with you on all that. I agree with all that. I don't understand why there's this notion that this team can't be really good.

00:15:12
Speaker 2: Who's saying that?

00:15:13
Speaker 1: Well, I mean, he said, I don't know how we're good. We're going to be, and I've said that most of the year. But what have you seen so far to say we can't be really good? We won by seventy one points in the first game. We won by how much do we beat? Do we beat the Minnesota team by thirty thirty something? We win by forty one to night. You know, why can't we be good? What do you need that this team doesn't have? Okay, we got locked down to perimeter defenders. Check, we got bigs ck. We got guys who can shoot, we play modern basketball. We got a coach who can coach jack. The only thing that I could think of that you need that I'm not what certain we have is a dude who with a minute left you need a bucket and he can break somebody down and get them. Maybe that's Robinson, maybe it's o Way. But besides that, what do you want? Right? Like? Like, what do you want? I guess you would say, maybe you need a draft pick, maybe you need a superstar.

00:16:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, from a roster standpoint, I don't think you can ask for much more.

00:16:26
Speaker 12: Now.

00:16:26
Speaker 2: An argument would be Pope hasn't won any games in the NCAA terms.

00:16:29
Speaker 1: Fair point, But like, do you get the sense that he doesn't know how to coach? No, not at all, I don't you know. I mean we'll find out in the Duke game and then in the Gonzaga game when we're playing these top ten teams, Like how big is the talent discrepancy? Right? But it doesn't feel like it's crazy. I mean, you know, let's just look, you know, let's take the fox Mont team. It's five better than anybody on this team. Yeah. Is Monk better than anybody on this team? Yeahs Bam in college better than anybody on this team. I'm not sure. I mean, he became an amazing problem. But if this team played that team, you're telling me they couldn't beat him.

00:17:21
Speaker 2: Well, they could, they could, especially the way they play up tempo. But you know you said it. They only hit what eleven threes and still scored one hundred and three points. That means even as modern basketball as it is, it's not Live and Die by the three.

00:17:33
Speaker 1: It's not it's not Alabama. When Natoates first got there was live and Die by three. But now they shoot threes as part of a more coherent offense, and that took him to the final four. I don't I think that's what this meant.

00:17:45
Speaker 2: That's the that's the mixture.

00:17:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, it looked like Mahomes is up. So maybe he's okay, Yeah he's I hope.

00:17:52
Speaker 2: So he's a gamer. Yeah, pouring in Tampa, Kansas City, whatever.

00:17:58
Speaker 1: They're right next to each other. I think that's what's in the Mason is next, Mason, go ahead, Mason. Hey, Hey, what's going on?

00:18:09
Speaker 13: Jones? Yes, Hey, I got three things I heard. I heard a gratitude brings joy. I got three things for the BBN to b thanks before. If you'll hear it, Matt Jones.

00:18:20
Speaker 1: If you'll go quick, I'll hear three. If not out here, two, Hey gotta thank you.

00:18:27
Speaker 13: Let a director of the UK man. We got a volleyball team winning national championships? Who got baseball team going to World College Series? I mean it's unbelievable. We're getting disappointed in Mark Stewke's losing football games. I've never been so excited for football in my life. Number two, we got to be grateful for our moms BBN. Mark Duke just lost his mom and God bless his family. I'm telling you right now, if you ain't think before your mom, you're silly. And I promise you this. Our coach, Mark Cope, he's thankful for his mother. I promise you that. And finally I got it. Be thankful for you and ks R man Jones. You got single handedly got Cali Ferry out of here.

00:19:07
Speaker 1: Baby Well.

00:19:09
Speaker 13: I liked you was down the best fire of the decade.

00:19:14
Speaker 1: I appreciate the call. I liked your call in the first two because you should appreciate your mom. And Mitch isn't perfect, but you know Mitch, Mitch stuck his neck out on this pop pire. We'll see if it works, but maybe he ends up looking like a genius. You know? Was it Jimmy Dyke said they got the coach they maybe not didn't get the coach they want, but they got the coach they needed. I think that's what Jimmy Dyke's is saying.

00:19:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't hear it. I'm radio.

00:19:43
Speaker 1: Where did that come from? That came from? Like a superhero movie, right, Like, not the hero we wanted, but the one we needed. Is that where it comes from?

00:19:50
Speaker 2: That's Batman?

00:19:52
Speaker 1: Is that what Batman is?

00:19:53
Speaker 2: I'm gonna my limited Marvel knowledge. I think that's Batman.

00:19:56
Speaker 1: That's DC and I don't even know about.

00:19:59
Speaker 2: That good call, but I think that is Batman.

00:20:01
Speaker 1: So what what? What made Batman not the hero we wanted? What do we not?

00:20:05
Speaker 2: Well he's a little grimy, you know, he kind of takes things into his own hands.

00:20:10
Speaker 1: So we didn't want I wanted him. He's my favorite.

00:20:13
Speaker 2: Well he didn't listen to authority.

00:20:14
Speaker 1: Well neither do I?

00:20:16
Speaker 2: Are you Batman?

00:20:18
Speaker 1: Well let's see, it doesn't seem like to go out much.

00:20:22
Speaker 2: True, got a nice car, have a billion dollars?

00:20:25
Speaker 1: No, I don't have that, but yeah, maybe I ain't. Maybe no, But I mean Mark Pope was not the guy that any of us really wanted outside of a handful of people. But hopefully he is what we need. So far he is you know, we'll see what it's like. We'll see what it's like. But like, I mean, what could he have done better? So far? Nothing? So far? Not much. Who's next? Kiss r Bar? Athlete Chase Chase How are you, Chase.

00:20:56
Speaker 9: Good? How are you good? I just want to say I've missed talking you all been working at the bank and that's been going good. Why do you think the Keys will be moving forward like you said to be a top tearing team after getting one hundred points a game in the last three games.

00:21:19
Speaker 1: I mean, so far, if you play like you played, I appreciate called nice here from you. Jason, playuck you played in the last three games. I think you're good. You know, if you play, I think you know what what? So far? Maybe if I was just gonna nippick, I'd be like, well, I wish we got a little bit more from car, But what do you gonna complain about?

00:21:40
Speaker 14: So far?

00:21:41
Speaker 1: It's been great. I want to see a guy. I want to see us have a game where we need a dude to just take guys one on one. It's gonna be interesting to see us play against Duke. They're long and they're athletic. Duke is Kentucky Cow teams. Let's see how we do win or lose. We'll see how we do. But I just kind of think they're gonna be right in these games. I don't know why. I don't know why it's just a suit like they have us eighth in the SEC. We're not gonna be eighth in the SEC.

00:22:11
Speaker 2: Well, we've talked about gratitude, but it feels like the guys are playing with joy.

00:22:15
Speaker 1: They are. Actually that's true. I think they are. And uh like say so it's my home's in? Is he back?

00:22:21
Speaker 2: That's them?

00:22:22
Speaker 8: Yeah?

00:22:22
Speaker 1: Okay, good, Yeah, we're not coming in eighth in the SEC. We're just not.

00:22:28
Speaker 2: It's a good SEC, it is.

00:22:31
Speaker 1: But they also like A and M lost to Central Florida tonight, South Carolina already lost like these SEC South Carolina lost to what uh North Florida. We're not coming in eighth. I'm gonna say we're not coming lower than fourth. You righte that down? Okay, all right, let's do one more than we'll take a break.

00:22:50
Speaker 2: I don't know their names, so i'd put them on hold. So you want to just put them on.

00:22:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, just put them on. Who's up? What's your name? Person?

00:22:55
Speaker 2: This person?

00:22:59
Speaker 1: All right? So for all of you on, just lead with your name when I say yes, lead your If you hear me, then namon, what's your what's what's your name?

00:23:08
Speaker 12: Brick?

00:23:08
Speaker 1: All right?

00:23:09
Speaker 15: Go?

00:23:11
Speaker 4: Hey, I was just calling.

00:23:13
Speaker 12: I'm on the way home from uh from the game, heading back home to the Louts. War was at the game, and this team is something special. You will not.

00:23:21
Speaker 4: Hear me say if we can be good. I don't know how good we can be. This team is special.

00:23:28
Speaker 12: It's really, really, really refreshing to see us be able to guard a ball screen, you run an inbounds play, yes, to run an offense, to be well.

00:23:40
Speaker 4: Coached, and this team had experience, and this team is e I don't think anybody's talking about how freaking deep the team is.

00:23:51
Speaker 1: Ten guys, I mean ten guys who've played either big minutes at a major school or been first team All conference in their conference. That's pretty good.

00:24:03
Speaker 12: And we got a coach that bleeds blue.

00:24:07
Speaker 1: That's right. And kerk Crees think about k Kirk Crease is probably our ninth or tenth man, at least so far. He started ninety three games in a Power five conference. Sir, that's pretty good, isn't it.

00:24:22
Speaker 12: It's really good, man. I want to tell you one other thing real quick. This is kind of off of the hole, this team being special. But he was talking about parlays. You'll get a kick out of this Parlay. I had a four team twelve plus twelve fifty eight Parlay tonight. Just my taking Kentucky on the spread and the over on the total and betting Louisville and Rick Patino, I'm in Saint John's those four those.

00:24:45
Speaker 1: Well, good for you, a little little state of Kentucky. Parley. Well, I appreciate the call. And uh yeah Louisville. Louisville look good tonight, although nobody was there.

00:24:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw that picture.

00:24:56
Speaker 1: Wow. I mean Kelsey was almost begging in the post game for people to come to the Sea game Saturday. It's kind of sad, like he seems like a good dude, Like, how's somebody going? I mean, there's no that. That's a terrible crowd. They announced the crowd at twelve at twelve thousand, which means there was like.

00:25:14
Speaker 2: Not that you think they need proof of concept or are they just not supporting.

00:25:20
Speaker 1: Louisville is a party fan base and show up when the party's good. So if they're good by January, it'll be full. They'll but there, that's a party fan base. You got. The party's got to be fun. And the party's not fun, they don't come. I mean that's it didn't used to be like that, but I think I think Jurich made it like that, and so now when it's good, it's good for him. But when it's not, I just I thought they'd have a good crowd tonight. I mean, we had a good crowd. It wasn't full, but that was a really good crowd. So I think we'll have I mean, we're playing buck Nail Saturday, but I don't know why it won't be full for that Saturday afternoon.

00:25:56
Speaker 15: Right.

00:25:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, Mark Pope war a suit today, so I'm on here.

00:25:58
Speaker 1: He wears a suit all year. Oh yeah, what goodness. It's got to cost money to get a suit when you're six eleven. That's true.

00:26:05
Speaker 2: I didn't they didn't think about it.

00:26:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I've I started getting on TV. Bomani Jones saw me in my test. I sent my test show to Bomani Jones on Hay Kentucky, and I was like, hey, man, what do you think? And he wrote me back and he goes, the things you need to fix on television, you'll fix over time. He's like, but you got to get a suit to fit. That was his man. So I ordered. I got a guy and they're expensive, but like it makes a big difference. And when you're six eleven, it really makes it different. Yeah, if I'm nine, two, eight oh, twenty two eighty seven, will take a break bill. You go get these people's name so I don't have to yell and go is this your neigh or not? And we'll be right back. It's a local Toy Dealers KSR post game show. So college basketball is starting across the country tonight. Let's talk a little bit about what happened outside of here. I said. South Carolina lost at home to North Florida. That's probably the biggest upset so far. A and M ranked thirteen the country loses at Central Florida. It's not a great loss, but that's not a horrible loss because you're on their home field. But still, how about this Elon musk No, I hope he takes a loss tomorrow. But with six and a half minutes to go, Elon is tied with North Carolina sixty nine North Carolina.

00:27:26
Speaker 8: Wow.

00:27:27
Speaker 1: Elon was down twelve at halftime and now tied with six and a half minutes to go.

00:27:33
Speaker 2: What about that picture of Doug gotlie Uh, he's sweaty.

00:27:37
Speaker 1: You guys haven't seen it. Go on Twitter. I tweeted it out. Look at the picture of Doug Goll Doug gob If you don't know, it's coaching Green Bay. Also doing a radio show, which I how's he doing?

00:27:47
Speaker 2: I haven't kept up with that? Is that awkward?

00:27:49
Speaker 1: Gotta think it's a little awkward. But doing a radio show and coaching Green Bay? He is the sweat. That's the sweat. Have you ever seen a sweat of your person than those pictures?

00:27:59
Speaker 9: Oh?

00:27:59
Speaker 1: Oh yeah?

00:28:00
Speaker 15: Yeah?

00:28:00
Speaker 2: Who I mean, there's been some coaches in the PA's.

00:28:03
Speaker 1: Been sweatier than that.

00:28:04
Speaker 2: Look at his back, now, that is that is a lot of sweat.

00:28:08
Speaker 1: That's the sweatiest back I've ever seen. I do feel touch down Kansas City after we thought my homes had torn his achilles, he comes back here and drives all the way down the field, leads twenty four to seventeen. Dude's amazing. Just admit it. He's amazing. You know, what's your taps?

00:28:23
Speaker 2: In the Super Bowl to the Bucks? He did a real good scoring nine what his second year?

00:28:27
Speaker 1: I mean he was like his second year.

00:28:29
Speaker 2: He sucked it up that game.

00:28:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's doing pretty well tonight. Do you feel for him.

00:28:33
Speaker 2: I mean like you ever been in a sweaty moment like that?

00:28:37
Speaker 1: I mean not like that. Who's up next, Caleb? Caleb? Go ahead, Caleb?

00:28:45
Speaker 7: All right, what's up?

00:28:46
Speaker 11: Matt?

00:28:46
Speaker 7: I was the first caller, had to call back my first call ever.

00:28:51
Speaker 1: Hopefully your second one's buddy true.

00:28:54
Speaker 7: So me and my buddy's drive up for morehead stays today. Go watch Poe's first game, and two things stick out to me. One, when is Kobe Braya gonna be a starter for this team?

00:29:05
Speaker 3: Well?

00:29:05
Speaker 1: Who would you start him over?

00:29:06
Speaker 10: Though?

00:29:06
Speaker 1: Who are you gonna start him over?

00:29:09
Speaker 3: That's what I don't know.

00:29:10
Speaker 11: You know, you got Jackson Lamont.

00:29:13
Speaker 1: There's no I mean, you're gonna have to take out oh Way, who was our leading scorer. So I think he's I think he's got to be a six man. I think that's what I think. That's his role on this team. The only way I would just maybe there are teams you go small and you play car at the four or at the five, and Jackson or him at the four. But I think otherwise he's a six man.

00:29:34
Speaker 7: Next thing, kerk Rio, I was coming in with him as like my favorite player. I felt like Pope piped him up. I liked him, and he disappointed me today that second half. To in the first half, we looked that was a terrible player. I don't at the game, you can see Pope kind of coaching him up over on the sideline talking about he kind of just stood there and even looked at him and was like.

00:29:55
Speaker 3: What were you doing.

00:29:56
Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna there's gonna be a game going a couple of games where we're gonna need him. I think he's also I appreciate the call of reserve, but there's gonna be a game where you put him in. I mean, he could He didn't score, but he could have scored. To night, he gave up. He gave up an open layup to kick it out for three, which which I thought that, if anything, epitomizes modern basketball more than give up a layup to shoot a three. A couple more things real quick about college basketball. Ohio State is playing Texas. Ohio State leads Aaron Bradshaw didn't start for Ohio State.

00:30:30
Speaker 2: Really coming off the bench.

00:30:31
Speaker 1: Coming off the bench, isn't that crazy? And then how about our women's team really good? Well, great?

00:30:38
Speaker 2: I have to watch some of that. They are tall.

00:30:40
Speaker 1: They are very tall.

00:30:41
Speaker 2: I mean historically, like top five players of all time.

00:30:45
Speaker 1: Girl from Brazil is going to be really good. She's just a freshman and she went seven for seven Portugal. Excuse me, Portugal. Yes, like she she's gonna be really good. They're all good. Like that was. You know. I don't know how that good that team was.

00:30:58
Speaker 2: They played, but they were good, exciting.

00:31:00
Speaker 1: They play Thursday night at home. I'm going I hope people will make that a thing because, like, I kind of feel bad for him. They had to play tonight. They didn't get a great crowd because everybody think it was for this. But I hope give Kenny Brooks his love. He's gonna be a great coach. All right. Who's next, Austin, Austin, go ahead, Austin.

00:31:18
Speaker 14: Hey, what's going on, guys?

00:31:19
Speaker 1: What's going on?

00:31:20
Speaker 14: I just want to I just want to say, like, I feel sorry for whoever plays us when all of our players like are in sync and make it shots. I mean, I feel sorry for whoever that team is well.

00:31:32
Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, if we're hitting, if we're let's just say, you play like tonight and you're just you don't miss and you don't make turnovers like you're going to score one hundred and twenty points.

00:31:40
Speaker 15: Right, Yeah.

00:31:42
Speaker 14: Plus I mean yeah, if you think about it, if everybody's shooting a way that they can, I mean, it could be, you know, a high scoring game.

00:31:51
Speaker 1: And they slowed the game down a little bit, like you heard Jimmy Dyke say, they didn't really play mean right State the way they played last year, which was smart on their part. So we'll get a team that'll run with us, and we'll score a lot in that game.

00:32:06
Speaker 15: Absolutely.

00:32:07
Speaker 14: And then also I don't know if you noticed, but it was alway up on Main like forty four to thirty three or something at halftime, So I mean we may have a chance.

00:32:16
Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate, we definitely have it.

00:32:20
Speaker 2: Who's gonna guard Cooper Flag?

00:32:21
Speaker 1: Who cares? Who's gonna guard our guys? Like Cooper Fla Like he's gonna be great. But that Duke team is like the Kentucky teams early in the year and they're like they're they're all freshmen. Yeah you know, now, I mean we could they beat us, of course they could. Will they beat us? Maybe, but like, why do we think we can't compete with him?

00:32:43
Speaker 2: Just a big stage it's just.

00:32:46
Speaker 1: Because we've never heard of these guys. Yeah, we sort of somehow think they're chumps. And I and I mean maybe I was as guilty as anybody of it, but like, these guys are good, they're talented, they're skilled, they play together, they're.

00:33:01
Speaker 2: Old, they are old.

00:33:03
Speaker 1: Who's next, Dawson, Dawson, Go ahead, Dawson.

00:33:08
Speaker 16: How are you doing today, Matt?

00:33:09
Speaker 1: What's going on?

00:33:12
Speaker 16: Two things that I noticed that it kind of lacks the past couple of years are toughness and execution.

00:33:18
Speaker 1: Yes, I agree with that.

00:33:21
Speaker 16: And the second thing I wanted to say is, I think you've mentioned this before on the On the Day show, that we don't have a lot of pros on this team. So for them to kind of just like buy in like they're playing for the University of Kentucky, like they are playing the greatest tradition in the history of college basketball. So it's really cool that they're buying into the phrase that this is Kentucky's team.

00:33:41
Speaker 1: It is very cool to have and I appreciate the call. We won't have a team like this again. I mean, I think it's clear Pope's going to go recruit guys who want to be pros, which I think is smart. We'll have dudes like like, it's not gonna be a team of all freshmen like Cal had, but we will have good freshmen every year. I don't think we'll ever have a team like this again. But I like this team because nobody on this team outside of Jackson Robinson and Brandon Garrison probably thinks I'm definitely an NBA player, right, And it's neat to watch guys like that play. They're playing like this is I don't won't say it because all these guys can have pro careers in Europe if they want, But like they're playing like this is this is my stage. Yeah, this is my stage. This is what I'm here for. This isn't a step to the next thing. This is nothing. And I really like I like watching guys like that. I like watching guys have moments like that and appreciate what's what's what's happening.

00:34:41
Speaker 2: Somebody did send in a photo of Sean Miller sweating, true.

00:34:47
Speaker 1: But godle he's not even wearing a white shirt. You know, at least wasn't Miller wearing a white shirt? And then golly is wearing blue. I'm gonna advise my guy. You know, I don't dislike Doug. Doug's always been nice to me. First of all, gotta cover up the pits?

00:35:02
Speaker 2: Well, what more can you do besides deodorant?

00:35:04
Speaker 14: Right?

00:35:04
Speaker 1: Well, first of all, you you don't get pitt stains like that unless you didn't. But on theodor Let mean, look at that come on the back stain, I can understand. But the pit state and he's got he's sweating on his stomach. Who sweats on their stomach like that?

00:35:23
Speaker 2: Nervous?

00:35:25
Speaker 8: Wow?

00:35:25
Speaker 1: Who's next?

00:35:26
Speaker 2: I think it's bones?

00:35:27
Speaker 1: Bones? What's up? Bones?

00:35:32
Speaker 9: Now?

00:35:33
Speaker 1: You're right, Archie Miller was sweatier. That's I just saw that. Sean Miller. He was sweaty.

00:35:38
Speaker 15: Right, go ahead, What a great time to be a Kentake your basketball fan in this new era. Just a couple of things, man. First of all, I'm betting dollars to know that there's no way Arkansas finishes ahead of us in the SEC. I can't believe they're even giving him forth because other than the colors, he's where it's the exact same thing that would be here. And then number two, I'm not so necessarily worried about beating the man off the dribble because we can run a play for anybody get a shot instead of having to get to the rim. He we run a pick and roll just as good as anybody in the country. And then third, this is just the beginning of this team, and we're scoring over one hundred. They only get better and better. I'd be scared to see us come March.

00:36:30
Speaker 1: I see no lies. I appreciate the call. Why not? This team is good. I feel confident this team is good. I don't. We're gonna be competitive all year and we're gonna win a lot of games. Are we top? I am now one hundred percent on board. We are top twenty five, and I'd say we're even like top fifteen, top twenty. Are we top ten? We'll see. But this team's good, Bobby says, I just want to enjoy the postgame show. But you just have to throw in a political jab. Bobby. I'm looking at you. I like you, Bobby, But Bobby, you I've seen you before. This is Bobby. You send me political comments all the time. You can take a joke, Bobby. This is gonna be over. Well, maybe it's not over tomorrow, but hopefully it's over tomorrow. Tomorrow you could take a joke by you guys, don't be don't be a snowflake. You could laugh.

00:37:25
Speaker 2: Be careful. Well that people used to call me that, calling snowflakes.

00:37:30
Speaker 1: A day before I said, it's on Twitter, by the way, and this is true. Whether my person wins or you're does. Don't let tomorrow ruin friendships, make you, make you do something that you don't is not like you, or get you fired.

00:37:48
Speaker 2: Good advice.

00:37:50
Speaker 1: It ain't worth it, neither one of these two people, Trump or Harris. It's worth losing a friend over because they'll both be gone and that friend will still be there. We'll take a break and be right back. It's kiss al gome back. Final segment, Local Toys KSR. Postgame show. Chiefs lead the Tampa Bay Bucks twenty four to seventeen, two minutes left. Bucks have the ball. Are they gonna go down there and score and tie the game up?

00:38:19
Speaker 2: No, you haven't watched enough Bucks on prime time games. They're really bad.

00:38:24
Speaker 1: Oh they're like, it's traditionally bad.

00:38:26
Speaker 2: Well, just zero and four the last two years.

00:38:28
Speaker 1: So well, you got mak or Playfield, as my guy dan Orlovsky called him, and you got Liam.

00:38:35
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Liam apparently.

00:38:37
Speaker 1: Apparently, Dan Orlovsky said during the game that Liam has done enough to earn head coaching jobs next year.

00:38:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe the Bucks they may fire Toddy.

00:38:49
Speaker 17: Louisville fans are mad that I just posted the screenshot of the crowd they had tonight. What's new between Louisville fans in the Tennessee fans Saturday and the people and then the people I asked who they were gonna vote for to make fun of Ryan?

00:39:08
Speaker 2: How do you even look at your social media?

00:39:10
Speaker 9: No?

00:39:10
Speaker 1: I mean have Twitter's like so bad now? You can't even look at the comments, which I hate because I always enjoyed it. I did. I always enjoyed getting to see But now it's easiest. You can't do it like it's too it's too toxic. He's ruined it. Text machine, though, is still the thing that's what I like the most. Seven seven to two, seven seven four, five to two, five to four. The let's see North Carolina elon. What's the score? Still still close? Four minutes to go?

00:39:39
Speaker 15: Uh?

00:39:39
Speaker 1: No, North Conins pulled away a little bit eighty to seventy one or three minutes ago. Still though, close game for them to start.

00:39:44
Speaker 2: Seeah Toppers didn't pull it off either.

00:39:47
Speaker 1: All right, who's up next, Cam, Cam, go ahead, camp boys?

00:39:52
Speaker 9: Man.

00:39:52
Speaker 18: What a game, first regular season game for COVI. Real happy. I'm excited for him. I tweeted that that was a very freshing win over you know, in a gimme game. It's been a few years since we've had like a you know, start to finish like no doubt or with a football or basketball game, so it felt good to see that. I love the libs to the bigs. I think those are like underrated for getting the crowd into the game. Yes, we start a lot of those, like we hadn't seen no sins like the first few years with cal. I hope that's a consistent part of the offense. And uh, really happy for Kobe Bray. I was nervous for him after the exhibition games.

00:40:38
Speaker 1: I was too yeah, and he but he looked good tonight, didn't he.

00:40:42
Speaker 3: Look look he was on fire.

00:40:43
Speaker 1: He was on fire and he and it looks like he can kind of you know, he may be another one. There's like two or three guys. If they're open, I think it's.

00:40:51
Speaker 18: Going in exactly exactly. And then I'll hang up and listen on this man. I wish there were more than two political parties. I feel like it, you know, the last twelve years or so, it's kind of created an even greater divide. I feel like there's way more voters and potential voters in the middle.

00:41:09
Speaker 1: Than you know, in European countries there's like lots of parties, but we've kind of created a system. The Electoral College makes it because it's winner take all that Like, it's hard to have other parties. So it's what it is. I wish I could fix it, but I can't appreciate the appreciate the call. My hope is I think I said this this morning. Whoever wins. I hope it's bylined so that it's like everybody knows and then you just like move on. I don't think two months of us fighting is gonna be good for anybody.

00:41:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, Unfortunately, I think that's the most likely result.

00:41:47
Speaker 1: Probably it's probably gonna come down in Pennsylvania, come down to like forty thousand votes.

00:41:51
Speaker 2: You're gonna watch the entire time I go.

00:41:53
Speaker 1: I already know my game plan tomorrow.

00:41:54
Speaker 2: You know my game playing tomorrow.

00:41:55
Speaker 1: I'm gonna I gotta go to my hand doctor's stupid hut on my wrist. And then I'm gonna go to the Louisville. I'm gonna go to the movies. Oh yeah, you talked about this, go to the movies every election night, so like you know, like to go to a movie at like seven o'clock or something like that. By the time I come out, be like nine thirty, you'll start to have a sense. So I'll check. And then maybe the problem is all the leagues take the night off. Why do they do that, like like the NBA is off.

00:42:30
Speaker 2: Oh, the leagues, the sports sports.

00:42:32
Speaker 1: Leagues, like I would think have games to distract everybody. Yeah, but they don't. So the school's out tomorrow, right.

00:42:39
Speaker 2: I didn't know that.

00:42:40
Speaker 1: I think it is. I think school's out. Presidential Well, a lot of a lot of polls are at schools. Yeah, scuse to close the school so you can have the poll there. Shout out to all the people who are working the polls tomorrow. That's a thankless job that a lot of people have to do. And then nowadays they get yelled at for it, usually just little old ladies. So you know, be kind to them. Who's next, Nate, Nate, go ahead, and Nate Nate. All right, No, Nate, Who's next? Okay, Brian, Brian, go ahead.

00:43:14
Speaker 19: Brian hey Man first on Color?

00:43:17
Speaker 1: Who are.

00:43:19
Speaker 19: Hey just came from Nashville. My question is do you think that this POP team is better than BYU team?

00:43:28
Speaker 1: Of course? Yeah, they got better players.

00:43:31
Speaker 19: Yeah, so the question of if this team can beat good teams screams pretty obvious. I mean last year they beat what Kansas and Baylor. I mean, we've got I think we had the potential to be anybody see.

00:43:43
Speaker 1: I agree, And that question you had is like a basic question that we didn't really that people didn't really talk about. But like, is this team more talented than BYU? Yes? Did BYU beat good teams? Yes? Well, then of course we can be good teams. Now. They did lose in the they lost to du Cane and so that makes people kind of go oh, oh they you know, and I get that, but that's one game. So I'm with you. Well, I mean if they they went into Kansas and beat them by like twenty on their court.

00:44:15
Speaker 10: Yeah.

00:44:16
Speaker 19: One guy was impressed with tonight was Alor. I think uh. I mean, he didn't play until later, but I think, like I feel like he scored double.

00:44:25
Speaker 1: He had eleven points. He had eleven points. Yeah, yeah, it's funny with Almanor. I appreciate the call. Mario and I went to Pro Day and I made the mistake of saying to Mario, I don't know, I don't know if I think he's very good. And so now every time he scores, Mario text me every every single every bucket. He's texting every bucket a lot. He texts me and says, there's your boy.

00:44:49
Speaker 2: It could be a long ear for you.

00:44:51
Speaker 1: He's looked good though, I mean he's looked he's looked good. He looked good in the two exhibition games too. He's looked good in all of them. How many, Let's get three left.

00:44:58
Speaker 2: You want to do more than that, Let's.

00:44:59
Speaker 1: Do so one, eight, five, twenty two. He said, we'll do four because that'll probably give time for this football game. Then we can see wins. Who's next? Todd? Todd? Go ahead, Todd, Hello, Matt and Tod.

00:45:12
Speaker 3: We had six players in double figures tonight.

00:45:16
Speaker 1: I thought that was a mazing that's great.

00:45:18
Speaker 3: And another thing, uh, concerning Mark Pope, I think he'll have a good report with the officials compared to cal I think the officials under cal kind of aimed piss cal off, and I I believe we'll get more calls our way with Pope. What do you think about that?

00:45:43
Speaker 1: I think that's very plausible. You know, there's a I appreciate the call we used to say. I don't think anybody has ever changed their mind because people scream at him. I've often wondered if if screaming at reps is counterproductive.

00:45:59
Speaker 2: Uh, I mean human element of it, right, a human element nobody.

00:46:02
Speaker 1: Wants to be yelled at. Now, maybe there are people like Bobby Knight was back in the day that could yell so much it would intimidate.

00:46:09
Speaker 2: You and then you would Yeah.

00:46:12
Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, I don't think there's not gonna be I can tell you this. There were definitely officials, uh not quite in they're down at the one yard line. There were officials back in the day Billy who clearly had it out for col I don't feel like any of these officials are going to have it out for Mark Post.

00:46:30
Speaker 2: Do you think Stoop says the same issue?

00:46:32
Speaker 1: No, it seems like to I mean, he gets mad, but it doesn't seem like to me. Refs hate Listen, I got sued by a ref that hated cow. I mean, there were clearly refs that hated Colah, and I thought they were unfair, some of them, the Cow. But I don't think Pope's gonna have that at all. Would you go for two here? I think you have to go. I think you have to go for two if they get it three more. Who's next? Hayden, Hayden, what's up? Hayden? Hello? Hey, how are you?

00:47:04
Speaker 16: I'm good?

00:47:05
Speaker 19: Headed back from the game. We're heading to Roars County, Kentucky.

00:47:10
Speaker 16: You know it was a really good game, you.

00:47:12
Speaker 1: Say, Lawrence County, Kentucky. Yeah, so you're in the mountains. Yes, look at that mountain, my mountain, man. What's up? Go ahead?

00:47:26
Speaker 7: Well, what's your prediction?

00:47:27
Speaker 19: Game predictions on the Duke games?

00:47:32
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know for I think it's gonna be a great game. I think it's gonna probably be appreciate the call. I'm gonna say a five point game either way. Let me see how we do against Buck now, just to get another game that's real under our belt. But uh, I think it's gonna be a great test. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun. By the way, we're gonna make that like our official Pope launch party at kas Bar that night. So it might be hard for you to come from Lawrence County, but it's gonna be late, but we're gonna make that fun. I guess that's next Tuesday. Tuesday night. Right, there's a touchdown for Tampa Bay. So are we going for two? I mean, I know you're remember let me say this. There's twenty seven seconds. Mahomes can drive down the field in twenty seven seconds. I know.

00:48:16
Speaker 2: That's why I don't kick an extra point. He'll do it to you anyway.

00:48:20
Speaker 1: Go all right, So they're kicking the extra point, so that means I hate that. Yeah, I do two. But twenty seven seconds he can still. I mean they have twenty seven seconds and three timeouts. He's gonna you're gonna get down there. I heard of killing and then the guy whose wife he said, don't work. She'll kick the Harrison Butker, Harrison Butker, he'll kick it. He's got a great leg.

00:48:42
Speaker 2: He'll make I hate this decision.

00:48:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, who's up next?

00:48:46
Speaker 2: Germo?

00:48:47
Speaker 1: Germo? How are you? Germo?

00:48:49
Speaker 10: Hey man?

00:48:50
Speaker 1: How you doing I'm doing good?

00:48:51
Speaker 10: Second time?

00:48:52
Speaker 11: Long time?

00:48:53
Speaker 1: What's up?

00:48:54
Speaker 11: I was I was more concerned about I guess when I was watching the team and stuff, the lack of under classmen used until the last minutes and just for this one.

00:49:03
Speaker 1: Why does that concern sure?

00:49:06
Speaker 11: Travis Perry. That's why I'm talking about Travis Peary.

00:49:08
Speaker 1: I mean, why does it concern you? I mean, I understand why you want to see Travis Perry play. I mean I'd love to see him play too, But why it doesn't It shouldn't concern you. There are eleventh and twelfth man.

00:49:19
Speaker 11: Sure, and the reason being is like, what's his role gonna be.

00:49:23
Speaker 1: He's not gonna They're not gonna have a big role. I mean they're gonna be They're gonna be guys. Listen. I love those guys on the team, and I think they both have bright futures at Kentucky, and I do think there will be games where they will play, maybe because a guy's injured, or maybe just because some people are cold. But they're the eleventh and twelfth men. And you're probably gonna hear me say this all year because I'm gonna get this call all year. But if you go back historically, the eleventh and twelfth men, they don't.

00:49:55
Speaker 11: Play Okay, so again, we can just probably just give this like Read Shepherd fantasy just a kick. It's not gonna happen.

00:50:04
Speaker 1: But they always should. We should have always given that a kick. I mean, I've said all summer, anyone that thinks they're reaching, they're Read Shepherd because they're white and from Kentucky. That's not the case. Reed Shepherd was an elite athlete, like elite and.

00:50:20
Speaker 11: And you're saying that this year's guy.

00:50:23
Speaker 1: Travis Perry and or Travis Noah or CV Travis Perry and Trent Noah are not elite athletes. They're great shooters, they're great players. Read Shepherd was the third pick in the draft. Reed Shepherd played AAU at the highest level in America and held his own against every player he played against.

00:50:41
Speaker 11: It's not the same, Okay, Well whatever it takes to win games, man. I mean I'm on your side too, Yeah, you know, I.

00:50:49
Speaker 1: Just I mean, it's I get it, Like, I totally get why people want them to play. I want them to play. Trents from Harlan. I want to see him out there. I want to see Travis Perry play. And you know, could they have put them in two or three minutes earlier. Sure they could have, but those guys are the eleventh and twelfth men, and as the eleventh and twelfth men, they're probably and I appreciate the call, they're probably not going to play all that much.

00:51:15
Speaker 2: Reed, Hippard had the highest vertical jump in the NBA draft.

00:51:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Travis Perry played a lot in the first exhibition game. But remember Crisa was hurt. Yeah, right, so he didn't play. So I think there will be games this year where players are out because of injuries. That's that happens in games, and then those guys might get minutes, but this is going to be their role most of the year. I would think, when you.

00:51:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, so Travis Perry gets in if there's an injury to Butler or Crisa, when does Trent know again in if.

00:51:46
Speaker 1: There's an injury to almanor Chandler. Okay, the three you know those guys three or the four? That's just my oh interception wow, Kelsey, oh incomplete, but Billy Wavilly was excited there. It looked like an interception.

00:52:03
Speaker 2: It must be you during Kentucky games.

00:52:06
Speaker 1: Oh, during during a close Kentucky game. I'm more so that got tip that was not Kilsey on Kelsey, that was that's not Definis. All right, who's next? One more?

00:52:12
Speaker 2: I don't know this person's name.

00:52:14
Speaker 1: Okay, who is it? Go for it? Hello, caller? All right, no, just put somebody else on.

00:52:24
Speaker 2: All right, Well we don't have anybody else on.

00:52:26
Speaker 1: All right, we'll call eight, five, nine, two. I want, I can't. I can't finish. I got finished with one.

00:52:29
Speaker 2: All right, it'll be seconds from now.

00:52:31
Speaker 1: All right, go for it.

00:52:32
Speaker 2: All right, you're on the air.

00:52:33
Speaker 1: Collar, you're on air. Hey, Billy, Hey, what's up? Go for it? Turn the radio down and go for.

00:52:42
Speaker 3: Al right.

00:52:43
Speaker 20: I got two things, all right. The first thing is that Lamont Butler is the best on ball defender since Ashton Hagens, and it's not close.

00:52:51
Speaker 1: I think that's probably true, although I only have to give credit to Case and Wallace since I kind of downplayed in the other night. You go look at his stats. He was really good too. But you're I would say, you're right since Ashton Hagen.

00:53:03
Speaker 20: But he's also the worst at the rim finisher since Ashton Hagen did. He's got to take you got to tighten that up. But other than that, it was just funny.

00:53:11
Speaker 14: I thought, yeah, he.

00:53:12
Speaker 1: Did miss too much. Justin Edwards was pretty bad finishing at the two last year go ahead.

00:53:19
Speaker 20: I just thought it was funny. I liked I liked everything I saw tonight. I really loved the forty one points.

00:53:26
Speaker 4: I don't know why.

00:53:27
Speaker 20: That just was was what it was, but it was perfectly Kentucky, and I absolutely loved it. For Mark Pope, it was just a really good way to start the season off. I've got a great feeling about this season no matter what happens, and I'm just.

00:53:41
Speaker 7: Really, really really happy for for where we're at right now.

00:53:44
Speaker 1: I totally agree with everything you just said. I love that they had forty one. I love that they had forty one point one by forty one, that's a It's a perfect way to start this. So let's go over the schedule for the week. H Thursday, Kentucky's women play at home and then the Bengals are also playing. So Thursday night at Kspar we're gonna have a big thing with both the women's basketball and the Bengals. Tucky plays Saturday at four.

00:54:11
Speaker 2: I was checking that four o'clock.

00:54:12
Speaker 1: That's correct, four o'clock, so uh, and it is on Is that a computer game.

00:54:17
Speaker 2: I don't know about that.

00:54:19
Speaker 1: I think it is a computer game. I think that's a game on the computer. And then uh yeah, Tuesday night next week against you correct it is. Yeah, Thank you all very much for sticking with us at night and listening. Bill, the Chiefs and Bucks go to overtime.
