Like every time I think that I've reached oh I get it, I don't get it. I'm constantly learning. And if people love our show like they y'all love Satama, we love y'all. 00:04:44 Speaker 4: Yes, So Crystal, do got some questions on here? I'm not about to answer ask none of these questions. Crystal. Yes, you know you're one of my best friends. 00:04:59 Speaker 11: Ye. 00:05:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my dog, y'all. 00:05:02 Speaker 4: You from a small town martin Tennessee. 00:05:08 Speaker 1: Now look all of these. 00:05:10 Speaker 6: People, from celebrities, people who bought tickets DJ's, they all here for you. 00:05:15 Speaker 4: What does it feel like to build your own empire and. 00:05:19 Speaker 2: First giving on it, to guide nothing without him as possible. I'm blown away and I had to thank you d because you set the foundation for the podcasting for me. I saw you doing it. I saw you in Kadeen killing it, and I remember when I first booked Sisters and you and I became a love interest on the show, and once you got to know me, you were like yo, like you need to start speaking more on your Instagram, Like nobody really knows who you are and you're really dope, and I was like all him, and I remember you pushing me to myself more out there, and I was trying to find that balance because we've had so many conversations about social media and me taking the comments to heart and feelings being hurt, you know, and wanted to know how much can I open. 00:06:12 Speaker 4: Up to people. 00:06:13 Speaker 2: I love y'all too, but thank you, thank you for that. But to see where I am now and to have all these amazing people and this is just a fraction of the people that really ride for all of us, you know, So it's so special for me and important for me to make sure that I share this one with you guys as well. And I just I'm. 00:06:36 Speaker 1: I see. 00:06:42 Speaker 2: I'm not gonna try but to be like from a small town where people get stuck because that's all they know, and for God to put this vision inside me at a very young age, for me to see that there's more to this world than Martin, Tennessee, and where I'm from is a beautiful town, but there's so much more. I'm just grateful, man. 00:07:02 Speaker 4: We love you. 00:07:02 Speaker 11: Rising Now I have I have a question because, like I said, like these are questions. 00:07:16 Speaker 6: I really want to ask y'all as being like a homie to y'all. You've been a part of the fashion industry for way before people knew you, right, But we live in a very vain world where beauty is supposed to look one way? 00:07:29 Speaker 4: How do you continue to persevere? 00:07:32 Speaker 5: I keep showing up and showing out. No, but truly I mean that that's one way. But also I have to say, like crystalis continues to be an example in so many different ways because there's a lot of times where people comment things and I'm ready to say something back, and then I just got to be like, keep a positive Sweetish, you are better than You're better than that, and so. 00:08:02 Speaker 12: You're constantly inspiration and even just how to. 00:08:04 Speaker 4: Deal with those situations. 00:08:05 Speaker 5: But both of you have said great examples of how to lead this cast in humility and grace. And I am so grateful that we got you guys as an example coming into this because it was a learning experience, you know, definitely, and we came in with so much preparation because you guys made sure that we were so shout out see y'all let it go past it saying. 00:08:28 Speaker 1: So Jesse, hey, Tisa. Damn it, how many times y'all have heard that? 00:08:36 Speaker 4: Damn Hi Zachi? All right now, so. 00:08:44 Speaker 2: Now yo mama is here, list. 00:08:47 Speaker 4: Say you too. 00:08:53 Speaker 6: I ain't even gonna look at her when I asked this question, I don't see nothing. I just but you know, seriously, we met originally back in twenty eighteen. 00:09:05 Speaker 4: And here's a funny story. We were putting together this whole. 00:09:10 Speaker 6: It's a team of cast and Kristall and I were just talking about people that we knew and the role of Desia came up and I said, Crystal, what do you think about watch Jazzy? 00:09:22 Speaker 4: And Christal said she's perfect. 00:09:26 Speaker 1: Yes, And. 00:09:28 Speaker 4: This is the crazy part. 00:09:29 Speaker 6: We thought you were perfect because of Toya turn Up. 00:09:32 Speaker 4: Now this is my question. Shout out to Toya turn Up. Turn Up should bring her back. 00:09:38 Speaker 13: Yeah, she's been down for a minute. 00:09:41 Speaker 6: Bring her back. And I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you why I think you should bring her back. But my question is, you've gone through so many transitions from twenty eighteen to now now you're a mom. What is it like to show so many different sides of yourself on social media? 00:09:57 Speaker 12: Oh my gosh, you know what first of all, Hey, Besting, it's hard. It's hard because it's like you get on one way and people love you for that thing, and then you grow and you're like, I'm not that no more. 00:10:11 Speaker 5: I'm not experiencing that anymore. 00:10:13 Speaker 12: But some people still are, but they still want you to be there and you're like, okay, well I'm actually. 00:10:17 Speaker 1: I'm doing this now. 00:10:18 Speaker 12: And it's hard because not everybody comes with. 00:10:20 Speaker 2: You on your journey and on your. 00:10:22 Speaker 12: Ride, and you know, a lot of times you'll be like, oh, you used to do this, you used to. I remember when you used to used to, And I'm just like, gosh, like I'm a mom now, it's my my daughter is my life. I wake up and I'm immediately a slave, like literally, you know, you know, you wake up and instantly your servants. 00:10:40 Speaker 1: Yeah, I got four of them. 00:10:41 Speaker 4: I don't own my life no more. 00:10:44 Speaker 12: I'm so I'm blessed to have gone through so many differents. 00:10:49 Speaker 6: Oh God, no, because you made me think God, I got ship to do when I get home, guys, yeah, we got hurry up. 00:10:56 Speaker 12: I just I'm blessed to have, you know, to have gone through so many different things, and I've showed so much of my life on social media, and now I feel like I'm really enjoying just the privacy that I'm creating for myself and from my daughter, you know, you know, just with nobody knowing what she looks like or just anything, just protecting her, protecting up because people are very weird and me. 00:11:19 Speaker 2: And let me tell you something. 00:11:20 Speaker 12: If anybody say anything about my child, if I reposed my child of people, anything you have to say, you already know what it's like. 00:11:31 Speaker 8: But deep is purposeful because I will purposely picked somebody else they take right. My mother ain't into mo Where are you at you? 00:11:40 Speaker 1: My mother? Listen? My mother told me, is the true story? Sorry to cut you off. 00:11:44 Speaker 11: My mother. 00:11:45 Speaker 4: My mother told me one time I came on out to scratch on my face. 00:11:47 Speaker 1: It was a little girl. Little girl scratched my face right. 00:11:49 Speaker 4: My mother said, come in, Oh my god, this. 00:11:51 Speaker 6: Is what's this on your face? I was like, you know this, a little girl hit me. Your name was Tabitha. But it's okay. My mother said, no, it's not okay. 00:12:04 Speaker 4: It's not. Tabitha is not outside of an ass whipping. 00:12:07 Speaker 1: I said, man, she's a girl. She said, I'm a girl too. 00:12:15 Speaker 4: Right now, shout out, shout out, my mom, I love you, Mama, my bad. 00:12:26 Speaker 12: But yeah, just you know, protecting her privacy and just really enjoying being a mom and and not trying to post everything because sometimes like you can post things and you're like, wow, I'm really not being present. 00:12:36 Speaker 4: I'm just trying to get this content. 00:12:38 Speaker 13: But when you put your phone down real quick and you're you're able to really just be in that moment, you create so many memories that you might not have on your phone, but you have. 00:12:48 Speaker 2: Them in here. 00:12:49 Speaker 4: So that's good. 00:12:50 Speaker 12: Right now, That's what I'm really focusing on. 00:12:52 Speaker 6: I'm glad you you you said that because to your right, it's another young, younger, young woman. 00:12:59 Speaker 4: Yes, who irks my nerves on TV? She ate my nerves. 00:13:08 Speaker 1: But what y'all don't know. 00:13:09 Speaker 6: Though, is I love her in real life, Dan Yell, Dan, Yeah, yeah, that's that's my girl. Like me and her father share birthday. So if y'all see her on the street, please be kind to dani Yelle. Alright, fuck, Belinda, be kind and Danielle. 00:13:25 Speaker 10: Sorry, ma, I gotta watch my mom. 00:13:31 Speaker 6: But Dan Yell, what has it been like for you being a mom now and being in your actor's face. 00:13:38 Speaker 4: I know somebody is a lead. Now when a movie coming. 00:13:44 Speaker 10: It's it's crazy having a movie coming out. Darwin comes out to AMC Networks and all black. 00:13:52 Speaker 4: Martin, Hey, clap that, clap that out. 00:13:55 Speaker 10: And I was leading that movie and breastfeeding in between, I mean, pomping milk and doing this fifty And I literally have someone come up to me at you know, one of the pas, and she was like, are. 00:14:05 Speaker 4: You documenting this? I'm like, document what. 00:14:07 Speaker 10: I gotta get the milk, then I gotta go to lunch and I gotta do rehearsal. And she's like, you inspire so many people just by sharing. And sometimes I don't share enough because I know how much people are struggling. You know, I'll book a role and I don't share a media on social media because I'm thinking about somebody who didn't get a call back this week. And it's like, actually, you're supposed to share and inspire and be a blessing. 00:14:27 Speaker 4: You know. Feel guilty, yeah. 00:14:29 Speaker 10: For a favor on your life that can't Nobody do nothing about that. But what I'm saying is how I feel. I just I feel like I just keep trying to prove to God that I can handle more. You know, every time he gives me something, I feel like I'm like cause I was a teacher's pet, and that's how I treat the Lord. I'll be like, God, you see me, you see me out dam. 00:14:49 Speaker 2: With a good attitude. 00:14:50 Speaker 10: Like so, I'm just constantly pushing to be able to handle more, and I feel like being a mother has just completely stretched my capacity. I had to learn to have faith for this kid. That was crazy because it's like me, I don't care, like you know, I've got all the faith I need. But it was like, wait a minute, there's a thing outside of you that you love more than anything in this world, and you have to learn how to have faith for him. 00:15:15 Speaker 2: Right. 00:15:16 Speaker 10: So that's what really stretched me because I like to think about being in the gym building muscles and faith when it comes to God. So maybe I was on the bench prey like it was. It was heavy, But when I went through childbirth, I realized that the enemy ain't never really threw his best shot at me. 00:15:32 Speaker 4: Oh talk about that baby. 00:15:34 Speaker 10: I dropped that baby, and you get up that go to work. 00:15:37 Speaker 4: Baby. 00:15:38 Speaker 12: You just did something. 00:15:39 Speaker 10: Let me tell you you just did something. 00:15:40 Speaker 12: Don't let nobody tell you otherwise. 00:15:43 Speaker 10: So I just I feel so full of gratitude, and you know, even I'm doing lead roles in films now, and that's all because of you got to support and supporting Belinda and supporting our show and just really allowing you know, black talent to shine the way the pew. I feel like we have the ultimate. 00:15:58 Speaker 2: Black job, this Danielle working alongside you. You are so incredible, so talented, and I'm so proud of you. Thank you. It means so much. 00:16:10 Speaker 4: Y'all. 00:16:10 Speaker 2: Don't understand. 00:16:11 Speaker 4: This woman will give you your. 00:16:12 Speaker 10: Flywer she is she will introduce you to the right people. She's a connect people, and I just I feel like I wish everybody could get a little peek into your heart because it is so beautiful when. 00:16:24 Speaker 1: I talk about it. 00:16:25 Speaker 6: To be honest, I think a lot of people don't really know that, Like I haven't everyone I meet in Atlanta they'd be like, I know, Crystal. 00:16:35 Speaker 4: I'm like, how do you? 00:16:36 Speaker 6: How could you possibly knows everybody the higher the highest person in the in the freaking studio or at a network, to the lowest person that works at the lowest place. You can think, no, Crystal and have a story of how Crystal has done something to help push their life forward. 00:16:51 Speaker 1: That is just a fact. That's that's. 00:16:57 Speaker 12: That's why you're so blessed. 00:16:59 Speaker 6: Me and Da Vinci in it back talking about stuff legacy. To be honest, this is how things happen in our community. When good people create a space like this where we can all get together and meet and learn from each other, that's how we continue to grow as people. I know that there's so many people that I've met in the back recently just knocking like, oh. 00:17:18 Speaker 1: You do this, you do that? How come we can't do this together? And even in the audience, you. 00:17:23 Speaker 6: Should look to the person to your left, for to your right, find out what they're doing and said hello. 00:17:27 Speaker 1: I can't watch you say I can. There's a lot of entrepreneurs. This is Atlanta. 00:17:33 Speaker 9: This is just make sure if you have a business customer service. 00:17:39 Speaker 1: It's a paramount importance. 00:17:41 Speaker 6: Yes, because I've been in some places in Atlanta and had some crab legs and places. 00:17:48 Speaker 1: How you want crab legs shop? You run out of crawd. 00:17:50 Speaker 6: Legs, Chicken wing spot, we don't got no more lemon pepper? 00:17:57 Speaker 8: What this is Atlanta? 00:18:00 Speaker 1: Look? You know too right, but no, but seriously. 00:18:04 Speaker 6: Crystal, we all appreciate you, y'all like we love you, y'all. 00:18:08 Speaker 4: We love you now. 00:18:09 Speaker 1: You stuck with. 00:18:10 Speaker 6: All of us because there was supposed to be about five people back there. There's fifty seven people back there that ain't supposed to be back there. We all here just for Crystal. So, y'all, I want to do this publicly when I know the cast. 00:18:22 Speaker 4: We love you, y'all, lovey thank you so much. 00:18:25 Speaker 2: He congrat baby you so late, Thank you guys so much. 00:18:33 Speaker 4: I love you guys, yes, and. 00:18:36 Speaker 2: I love you. 00:18:37 Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this. I appreciate you. I'm gonna do this now. 00:18:39 Speaker 4: You're gonna get that Steve. 00:18:41 Speaker 6: I'm kidding out, but I'm gonna do this one time, right, do this one time. 00:18:47 Speaker 1: Because y'all see me do it, y'all. 00:18:50 Speaker 3: What's the same. 00:18:54 Speaker 1: I was just gonna say. 00:18:55 Speaker 6: Okay, legs because you know what Herrist comment on these off on social media. 00:19:01 Speaker 1: But y'all see the. 00:19:02 Speaker 8: Last okay, Okay, yes, so much. 00:19:14 Speaker 2: I love you, lady. 00:19:19 Speaker 6: They tried to not invite Zach hell No, I love y'all. 00:19:25 Speaker 4: Y' all. 00:19:28 Speaker 2: Right, we are to the end, and my favorite part of the show. Are you all ready for this? Thank you? So I asked you all to write in to our Positive Outcomes listener letter so that you could come on stage with me. So please welcome to Hear Watson and Jemana Turner. Ladies, you guys are here. Thank you so much for coming seriously, and thank you for writing in. I love you guys for your support and I want to pour into you. 00:20:21 Speaker 4: So you have a. 00:20:22 Speaker 2: Question for me, and I'll let you go first. 00:20:26 Speaker 14: So my question was, how do you deal with wanting to step out onto your own independence when you feel like your family depends on you for whatever it may be as stability in the sense with my family and per se so the household. I grew up and it's normal to stay at home until you get married and then just venture out on your own after that. But I feel like now it's at the point where a lot of it is because more so instead of just being there to support me, but more so trying to shelter me from things that are in the outside world. 00:21:02 Speaker 8: Yeah. 00:21:03 Speaker 2: Wow, So you want advice on what you should do? All right to hear, I would say, and I've dealt with this, you know, even being where I am now, and I've always been the risk taker of the family, you know, and my family I love them, But my parents played. 00:21:23 Speaker 8: It very safe. 00:21:24 Speaker 2: They were always that get an education, get a degree, and get a good job with a four to oh one k and start a family. So when I was in college, I knew by twenty five i'd be married, having kids, and that was what was laid out for me. But I had so much more that I wanted to do, and often my parents did not understand that, you know. And if I had have listened, because at that point, you're an adult, you know, So it's not like we're telling children to not obey and listen to their parents. When you get to an age where you can make your decisions on your own, I feel like you should take a sentence and do what's best for you and let your family know that you love them and that you're always going to be for them, because you can't choose your family. They're stuck with them for life, you know. But there there comes a time where you have to really ask yourself, what do I want? What just to hear I want and go for that, because you never want to look back on your life and be like and be like, what would it have been like if I had a step out on faith? You know, I never want to live my life with regret. And I'm want to tell you guys a story. This was President Obama's first campaign. I did everything my parents told me to do. I got an education, I got the great job on Capitol Hill, got a great job four oh one k all the things, and President Obama's or at that point he was Senator Obama. His assistant came and said, hey, we got some paid jobs for the campaign. 00:22:53 Speaker 4: Do you want to come do it? 00:22:54 Speaker 2: Me being the risk take, I'm ready to quit this job and go work for this black man. I'm like, hey, yeah, Sam, yup. My parents are like, no, like why would you do that? 00:23:04 Speaker 4: He's not gonna win. 00:23:06 Speaker 2: In my mind, because we're coming from from a small time, remember where I'm from, we don't see that. We even I think a lot of black people are like, ain't no way. If we're honest with ourselves, They're like, why are you gonna quit this job and go do this for them? It was more about loyalty, making sure that you stay with the people that gave you a shot. Senator Lamar Alexander, for my State gave me a shot, but I really wanted to go work on that campaign. Two years later, we had President Obama, and my parents at that moment said, we will never tell you what not to do because you could be working in the White House right now. So I say to you to hear, go for what you want, love your family, respects your family, but don't live your life with regrets. Okay, all right, you're welcome. All right. Is it jamna or jamanah jemana jamana? What is your question for me? 00:23:59 Speaker 3: So I'm thirty one, I just turned thirty one in February, and I'm a virgin. I'm saving myself for marriage. 00:24:05 Speaker 2: That's amazing, Yes, give it up for somana wow. 00:24:11 Speaker 3: But when it comes to dating, that always throws the guys off. I was actually just talking to a guy and he's like, you're great, like you have your own but I can't save myself for marriage. And I always run into this issue and I'm like trying to put myself out there and I'm kind of getting a little discouraged because every guy that I meet is like, that's a no no. And So if you were my big sister, what advice would you give me. 00:24:36 Speaker 2: Well, I am your big sister, and what I would tell you, I made the mistake of not doing what God told us to do. 00:24:44 Speaker 4: You know. 00:24:45 Speaker 2: And I'm finally coming to an understanding of why good God puts certain principles in place, and that's to protect us. 00:24:53 Speaker 4: You know. 00:24:53 Speaker 2: You think about it when you're dating someone out of wedlock and you're having sex, and the first thing you think about is when they cheat on you. It was like you could have brought me some a disease back. That's the first thing you think, like, you put my life in jeopardy. But if he wasn't having sex, you would have to worry about that. Okay, you know what I'm saying. But I think about like that. You think about that getting pregnant before you're ready, You think about the different stipulations, and even when you think about relationships and you have sex. I don't know if you guys can attest to this prob I'm the only one in the room. But as soon as you give yourself away, things change. 00:25:28 Speaker 4: It's like the. 00:25:28 Speaker 2: Scales fall from your eyes. You be like, oh, he ain't even as cute as I thought he was. You'd be like, oh, you know, it's like you, all these things come up and it's like the whole honeymoon phase is over. But if we do things the way God intended, I feel like there is something beautiful on the other side of that. So I would tell you to stand firm on what you believe. Listen, the right man will come along. I know when I read the letter, you said that even Christian men quote unquote Christian man, they be the honey. 00:25:57 Speaker 4: Then one's in the church, bet something else. 00:25:58 Speaker 2: Honey may have something else. So you have to stand firm on that. And the Bible also says instead of doing those things, it's also o k to be single. That's honestly, it says that. So a lot of times you have to wait until the right man finds you. And you're thirty one, you're not in a rush. You still have your whole life ahead of you. I would focus on your career, your passions, and things that make you happy and save yourself for the right one. But I'm telling you, if you don't, you're gonna be picking yourself up off the floor crying, heartbroken, and it's just not worth it, y'all. It's really not. So that's what I would. 00:26:36 Speaker 10: Say you to do. 00:26:37 Speaker 2: Thank you, You're welcome. Thank you ladies y'all giving up for these beautiful women. Give me a hug. 00:26:46 Speaker 4: Thank you your goal much. 00:26:47 Speaker 2: I appreciate y'all.
