<v Speaker 1>Welcome on into the Nontendo podcast. Everybody, the second episode
<v Speaker 1>of the week. It is a Friday night, a Friday.
<v Speaker 2>Night, Friday. It's a Friday night, Thursday.
<v Speaker 3>We're sacrificing a Friday, Wednesday and Friday.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, we skipped and it's a big day. It's actually
<v Speaker 1>a huge days. It's a massive day, especially for you night.
<v Speaker 2>Oh oh man, I mean what gave it away? I wonder,
<v Speaker 2>I wonder what's giving it?
<v Speaker 1>A pig and mud over there? What's what's the expression?
<v Speaker 1>You're just I didn't want to call you a pig.
<v Speaker 1>That's the first thing. That's horrible, Pokemon Jen ten. It's
<v Speaker 1>actually a really exciting day. I have a lot, I
<v Speaker 1>have a lot of thoughts and I haven't said anything yet.
<v Speaker 1>This is my first impression take on it, and I
<v Speaker 1>do have a lot, a lot to say. Do you
<v Speaker 1>guys have a lot to say to you? Yeah? We
<v Speaker 1>had a Pokemon Presents this morning. It was live at
<v Speaker 1>nine am our time. Yes, I didn't watch it until
<v Speaker 1>after I woke up at ten and I had well
<v Speaker 1>I always do that for these because I have the.
<v Speaker 3>U the uh go into a low expectation.
<v Speaker 1>Well, no, it's it's I'm able to skip through it,
<v Speaker 1>and it makes it more enjoyable because there's so much
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to be mean, but poke slop only.
<v Speaker 3>With only with Pokemon Presents, right, not with direct.
<v Speaker 2>No, just with direct to watch everything, but yeah, presents,
<v Speaker 2>you can kind of see what you like, can skip
<v Speaker 2>a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, because it typically is always the same. This time
<v Speaker 1>was good, though, Yes, this was actually it was pretty solid.
<v Speaker 1>It started really good, and we're gonna I'm gonna bring
<v Speaker 1>it up and get straight into it.
<v Speaker 3>Let's do it.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I'm gonna like completely, We'll see how long we
<v Speaker 1>talk about the Pokemon percents, we can do games we've
<v Speaker 1>been playing, and Psycho Us and everything. At the end,
<v Speaker 1>I just want to dive straight into it. Let's just god,
<v Speaker 1>this crazy.
<v Speaker 2>It's beautiful.
<v Speaker 1>Ooh a fifteen dollars super chat from Veggie. Mighty fine.
<v Speaker 1>As soon as I looked over. We will read those.
<v Speaker 1>We'll get to those. Okay. I am going to just
<v Speaker 1>bring this thing up and we're going to dive straight
<v Speaker 1>in to the Pokemon Presents. We're going to react to
<v Speaker 1>it in real time, which I haven't done yet on
<v Speaker 1>the internet. But here we go. Do we need sound
<v Speaker 1>do you think yes, definitely, Okay, we will have the sound.
<v Speaker 1>We don't need all of this, right.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that was just cool to see?
<v Speaker 1>Ye want? Do you want me to play it? Okay?
<v Speaker 2>The final image was cool?
<v Speaker 3>Okay, I bet you were screaming and crying.
<v Speaker 2>Well seeing it cooping, Well, well i'll tell you why. Right,
<v Speaker 2>So it's nine to them when I watched it, because
<v Speaker 2>I did a livestream reaction of it, and my brother's
<v Speaker 2>room is like right next to mine, so I didn't
<v Speaker 2>want to work. I mean, I don't care about it.
<v Speaker 2>I started screaming, like for random stuff, and I literally
<v Speaker 2>held heard him knock on the.
<v Speaker 1>Wall to keep it down.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, let's shut up.
<v Speaker 1>Did you did you yell back I'm working here?
<v Speaker 2>I did. I said, this is my job. I gotta
<v Speaker 2>watch this.
<v Speaker 1>I have to have to yell Pokemon fan he used
<v Speaker 1>to be.
<v Speaker 2>He actually gave me all his Pokemon younger two years younger,
<v Speaker 2>his birthdays. Actually, you could have just yelled back, there's
<v Speaker 2>a game Boy box.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and then he would have understood, yeah for sure,
<v Speaker 1>picking up here it is.
<v Speaker 2>Wow, look at that. I didn't know what to expect
<v Speaker 2>when I first. Did you think it was just like
<v Speaker 2>a regular game Boy.
<v Speaker 1>So I was until I saw it was very small.
<v Speaker 1>I was kind of hoping they were doing you know
<v Speaker 1>how they did the the ne S Mini and the
<v Speaker 1>Super Nintendo Mini. Yeah, and all that they would like.
<v Speaker 1>I was hoping this was a game Boy Mini.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, me too, Okay. I thought they were going to
<v Speaker 3>bring back like a game and watch reference with Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>with a game Boy and Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, what this is is really cool and unique,
<v Speaker 1>but I thought it would have like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>twenty pre loaded original games on it. Yeah, But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>this what this is actually really cool. I love the sound.
<v Speaker 3>It's cool for collectors. I mean, having to switch out
<v Speaker 3>every cartridge just for a song.
<v Speaker 1>That is very Uh it's like even worse than when
<v Speaker 1>we were kids, and you'd be like watching DVDs or
<v Speaker 1>vhs s right like every like two episodes of a
<v Speaker 1>TV show you get up.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like there's forty five of these things too, and
<v Speaker 2>does it all come like it comes to it's one
<v Speaker 2>big one collection box.
<v Speaker 3>So I could see somebody buying this for the sake
<v Speaker 3>of just having the item.
<v Speaker 2>I know if you people already did. At an Interna
<v Speaker 2>of New York, they had it for sales and this.
<v Speaker 1>Is sold out already, right, I think you're safe for sale.
<v Speaker 1>You mean like they could pick it up.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was in the store, so like when Oh wow,
<v Speaker 2>so during apparently during like the presents itself, they actually
<v Speaker 2>unveiled it as they showed this and said in the store, yeah, like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you could buy this right now if you want. That's
<v Speaker 2>so a lot of people bought it. That definitely sold out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah sure, Actually we did see on line. Good I
<v Speaker 1>think Caleb shed in the someone shed it that they
<v Speaker 1>were all sold out online. I want this. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know how to get this. If someone can help me
<v Speaker 1>get it, I'll pay for it. Caleb Binochet said he
<v Speaker 1>would pay someone double. I'd pay someone triple triple.
<v Speaker 3>How much is it?
<v Speaker 2>This is the seventy dollars seventy So you could buy
<v Speaker 2>this or Pocopia your pick. I might you're both might
<v Speaker 2>do but you can do both.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
<v Speaker 1>I'd actually got to pay triple. But if anyone can
<v Speaker 1>help me figure this out.
<v Speaker 3>The collector's items always reseall really well in the future,
<v Speaker 3>especially when it comes to post.
<v Speaker 1>This thing is really cool. I mean that it looks
<v Speaker 1>like the back of the cartridges here have little parts
<v Speaker 1>of the levels. I guess the song depends on the song.
<v Speaker 1>Yet it's really cool. I wonder if they'll ever release
<v Speaker 1>some other other song other I mean, I get what
<v Speaker 1>other ones would that be? I guess. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like Nintendo and Pokemon both like well, maybe
<v Speaker 3>not Pokemon as much, but they always fixed it on
<v Speaker 3>just like retro stuff like old school eighties and nineties stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, is this purely a Pokemon product or is it?
<v Speaker 2>Or could it be something else in the future?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, like, could they do a bunch of other like
<v Speaker 1>games like Mario or something?
<v Speaker 3>Or is it because it is an Nintendo game boy
<v Speaker 3>it's not branded around Pokemon specific.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's true.
<v Speaker 3>That's true.
<v Speaker 2>They could do like they could like sell like sell
<v Speaker 2>like a different, like different couple.
<v Speaker 1>Packs, collect them all exactly.
<v Speaker 2>How much would that be?
<v Speaker 1>Like how much for the music specific for the music packs?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>If it's forty five of them, it's gotta be like,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even I'm so burned out of talking about
<v Speaker 1>prices with Nintendo. I don't even just just tell me
<v Speaker 1>what I'm opening my wallet for.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it doesn't matter.
<v Speaker 1>At this point, I give up. All right, we have
<v Speaker 1>what was next? I mean, that was a really cool announcement,
<v Speaker 1>and then I think we kind of bled into a
<v Speaker 1>lot of like mobile stuff. So night, you're the Pokemon guy.
<v Speaker 2>I am the Pokemon guy.
<v Speaker 1>So if you want me to not just skip straight
<v Speaker 1>to the end of this, you're gonna have.
<v Speaker 3>To tell me.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, yeah, what do you want to talk about?
<v Speaker 1>What do you want to see? Because I'm ready to
<v Speaker 1>go to the end. I'm not going to really Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I mean that that was.
<v Speaker 2>I mean when I was the Pokemon World stuff like,
<v Speaker 2>that's cool.
<v Speaker 1>I will say, it's been ten ten years of Pokemon Go. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>that's crazy.
<v Speaker 2>That was pretty cool.
<v Speaker 3>You were you guys playing Pokemon Go on twenty six.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I played at launch day. I was living in
<v Speaker 1>Vancouver at the time, and I still I mean, obviously
<v Speaker 1>it was ten years ago now, but I remember it
<v Speaker 1>vividly like it was yesterday. It was one of the
<v Speaker 1>most exciting. That was a very special It was very special.
<v Speaker 1>I remember going out of my house with my phone
<v Speaker 1>and walking for like six hours, like that first day.
<v Speaker 1>I just woke and there was so many people out
<v Speaker 1>because you go to the spots and that was before
<v Speaker 1>you could really like interact it. I don't think you
<v Speaker 1>could trade.
<v Speaker 2>It was just purely just like everyone.
<v Speaker 1>Was as a highlight of like gaming.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I agree, because I'm sick for me.
<v Speaker 1>I was.
<v Speaker 2>It was in like a summer camp in Philadelphia and
<v Speaker 2>the game came out like that day that we were
<v Speaker 2>all there, and so we were on our phones in
<v Speaker 2>like this big cafeteria area and we're just like trying
<v Speaker 2>to catch like all the starters. And then someone was like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>there's a dragon Night nearby, and all of us would
<v Speaker 2>kind of like run to one side and like try
<v Speaker 2>to catch it.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't think Kim and I were in Japan
<v Speaker 1>and we saw everyone, like everyone in Shibuya was like
<v Speaker 1>running down a street. Oh no, Zacchi Hopra. They were
<v Speaker 1>running out out of the street and we like why
<v Speaker 1>and then we start of them pull out their phone.
<v Speaker 1>So we opened off phone and there was an armored
<v Speaker 1>metube at the stop. I guess it was like a
<v Speaker 1>special thing and everyone was like racing again.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's crazy, right, So yeah, you can kind of
<v Speaker 2>skip through this a little bit. I think the TCG
<v Speaker 2>stuff was cool too. There's Pokemon Go, so I think
<v Speaker 2>what they're just revealing all like previously like unavailable Pokemon
<v Speaker 2>are now available or they will be available again at
<v Speaker 2>some point and go.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, so every Pokemon is in going at some point. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it will have what somebody? Do we have so far?
<v Speaker 1>What's at some part?
<v Speaker 2>I mean every like Pokemon, like every generation is available
<v Speaker 2>now I think except for nine. I could be wrong,
<v Speaker 2>but like some like we're previously available, like events that
<v Speaker 2>you couldn't get in a different country would probably be
<v Speaker 2>available like in your country.
<v Speaker 1>What about like regional ones?
<v Speaker 2>I think that I think that includes that as well.
<v Speaker 1>Really, I just don't.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think they said a specific day when they
<v Speaker 2>would do it. If it's today, that'd be pretty cool.
<v Speaker 1>Mhm.
<v Speaker 2>And then yeah you can skip through master d X sleep.
<v Speaker 1>No, thank you, okay, yes, oh this was yeah I did.
<v Speaker 1>I forgot about this. Okay, so we didn't know, I
<v Speaker 1>mean we I mean, is Colisseum out yet?
<v Speaker 3>No?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so that's so this is coming out before Colisseum.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, and yeah, that's that kind of caught me by
<v Speaker 2>surprise too, because this is the sequel to Colisseum pretty much,
<v Speaker 2>or no, because there's Colsseum too, right, and.
<v Speaker 1>Then no, no, no, this's just Colisseum one.
<v Speaker 2>No, there's two, right, no, so in fact check for that,
<v Speaker 2>I think there's two colosseums. And then there's this Nope,
<v Speaker 2>no way, no it's not to look at that. Look
<v Speaker 2>at it on GameCube. No, this, Pokemon sixty four had Colisseum.
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Stadium stadium.
<v Speaker 3>Yes, okay, I'm sorry, Yeah, there is no Colosseum.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, my bay so yeah, stadium Colisseum.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, kind of Pokemon guy.
<v Speaker 2>All right, all right, I'm a young guy, a young
<v Speaker 2>young Pokemon fan.
<v Speaker 1>All right. No, Pokemon Colisseum is the first one where
<v Speaker 1>you played as the the guy with the blue trench
<v Speaker 1>coat and Evy. You had Espion and Umbrion, and then
<v Speaker 1>this was the sequel to the follow up to that game.
<v Speaker 2>Gotcha. Yeah, okay, that makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, well, I don't I don't know if they
<v Speaker 1>weren't like direct like story sequels, but this one came
<v Speaker 1>after on the GameCube. Yeah. M So it's funny that
<v Speaker 1>we're getting this one first and this wasn't this was
<v Speaker 1>revealed right now right like we didn't know?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, well, I.
<v Speaker 2>Think it was on like the list like when they
<v Speaker 2>first talked about and then they just didn't say when
<v Speaker 2>it was coming out. But this is next week, I
<v Speaker 2>believe March, or next yet or at some point in March.
<v Speaker 1>I it's coming out. That's I never finished this one.
<v Speaker 1>Actually I started it, uh somewhat recently a few years
<v Speaker 1>ago and I never got too far in it. So
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to that for sure?
<v Speaker 3>Gotcha?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, skip through. That's just reading fire fire Red leaf
<v Speaker 2>Greens available now. Oh wait, go back a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Mm hmm.
<v Speaker 2>Someone I think saw that, like the e shot before that,
<v Speaker 2>like today like took down the little section that said
<v Speaker 2>it would be home compatible, but this just confirmed that
<v Speaker 2>it is home yeakay, so and they're like, oh no way,
<v Speaker 2>like nintendent, what want to use our Pokemon and other?
<v Speaker 1>Explain to me what that means? Can I get? So? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>right here, if I get fire Red, I can take
<v Speaker 1>my game, put it into Home and then put my
<v Speaker 1>fire Red Pokemon into Scarlet.
<v Speaker 2>And Violet yha and possibly wins and waves. And it
<v Speaker 2>looks like you can also link it up with Champions
<v Speaker 2>as well.
<v Speaker 1>Is it that is kind of cool? Actionally?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, come on, but I don't I don't.
<v Speaker 1>Have interest in the game. But it is cool that
<v Speaker 1>you can do that. Is there any like drawbacks to
<v Speaker 1>doing this?
<v Speaker 2>Well, you can't bring them back really, I mean because
<v Speaker 2>look there's no two a arrow on that you literally
<v Speaker 2>just can only transfer it to Home and then it
<v Speaker 2>can't go back to the original. Well you could put
<v Speaker 2>it back into Home, yes, yeah, but you can't put
<v Speaker 2>it back to the original game, Okay, because I mean,
<v Speaker 2>like imagine, like you transfer to let's say, Scarlett and Violet,
<v Speaker 2>you teach it a move that doesn't even exist in
<v Speaker 2>fire Red lyv or like an ability whatever.
<v Speaker 1>So okay, is there any benefit to taking your Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>from fire Red and putting it in like Scarlet and Violet,
<v Speaker 1>like Charizod rather than just getting a Charizod in Scarlet
<v Speaker 1>and Violet I.
<v Speaker 2>Mean for Charizar. Yeah, but like I also saw a
<v Speaker 2>thing where you can get like the event pokemon like
<v Speaker 2>the Oxus and Jerachi and like other Pokemon that are
<v Speaker 2>available at in the post game in those games, so
<v Speaker 2>you could shiny hunt them like legitimately instead of like
<v Speaker 2>waiting for a special event and then transfer them over. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>So I mean for collectors, yeah, you can, like or
<v Speaker 2>for shiny hunters you can do that.
<v Speaker 1>But you think there's any Pokemon in those original games
<v Speaker 1>that aren't currently in Scarlet and Viral Violet, and if
<v Speaker 1>you put it in the game, then you then it
<v Speaker 1>is in there. Or are they all featured in there already?
<v Speaker 1>H all one fifty?
<v Speaker 2>Some well, some can and some are because I think
<v Speaker 2>like in Pokemon Home, I don't know if you have
<v Speaker 2>you used it before? Nah, Okay, so there's some Pokemon
<v Speaker 2>that are not able to be in that game for whatever.
<v Speaker 1>Is because they're not in the game.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so it literally blocks you from like it's.
<v Speaker 1>So cool if like if like that Pokemon isn't in
<v Speaker 1>the game yet, but then they just made the model
<v Speaker 1>or whatever, and then like if you transferred it, you
<v Speaker 1>have it in the game and it's just it's that,
<v Speaker 1>And yeah, it'd be really cool because then like if
<v Speaker 1>you battle someone online that has that Pokemon, the person
<v Speaker 1>battling you would be like, how'd you get that?
<v Speaker 3>Oh?
<v Speaker 2>That must be from fire Red something. And I'm sure
<v Speaker 2>there's like a little like tag that comes with your
<v Speaker 2>Pokemon that says, oh, this Pokemon traveled across space and
<v Speaker 2>time from Canto or whatever to be here. And I
<v Speaker 2>know we're kind of getting a little bit earlier. But
<v Speaker 2>actually I'll just say it for the Gen ten discussion.
<v Speaker 1>Just save it for the Gen.
<v Speaker 2>Champions cool commercial. Uh I forget it's a mobile game too.
<v Speaker 2>That's funny.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's mobile and switch uh Mega to.
<v Speaker 2>Mention they spoiled all the Mega evolutions for those who
<v Speaker 2>didn't get the DLC. That was very funny.
<v Speaker 1>Oh geez. And then they're adding I saw that adding
<v Speaker 1>a new God champ.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, Mega Guard chomps z has been revealed here.
<v Speaker 3>The way it's like cross compatible, like you can play
<v Speaker 3>from your like mobiles.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, mobile, this is Pokemon z ain't sorry, this is
<v Speaker 1>before that, before that Champions Champions is now what they're
<v Speaker 1>going to focus on for like purely battles, so like
<v Speaker 1>if you're training up, like your your Pokemon.
<v Speaker 2>Stats and abilities like, that's purely for the competitive like audience.
<v Speaker 2>So which probably means that like for Winds and Waves,
<v Speaker 2>it might not be more competitive focused, it might just
<v Speaker 2>be just regular straight up Pokemon again, which I think
<v Speaker 2>will be really cool. But yeah, so there's like a
<v Speaker 2>Guard chom z'm I'm I'm trying to rush through because
<v Speaker 2>I want to get to the Yeah. So yeah, Pocoprom
<v Speaker 2>has a new form, Boombox dj Roe Tom I think
<v Speaker 2>is nice.
<v Speaker 1>I am looking forward to Polkopedia, Pikipedia, Copia looks nice.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not looking actually look forward to it too.
<v Speaker 2>It does very You said you're not buying. I'm not buying.
<v Speaker 2>It looks cool. The Pokemon guy dollars. Man, it's so
<v Speaker 2>many bucks. Yeah, I'm gonna wait. I'm going to wait
<v Speaker 2>to buy it.
<v Speaker 1>Raise the price, I say.
<v Speaker 2>Wait, but fire Red just came.
<v Speaker 3>Somebody buy that for night please?
<v Speaker 2>Seventies listen, man, I'm a young lad here. I don't
<v Speaker 2>got the type of cash to throw around like job
<v Speaker 2>I did. That's true. Okay, maybe I do. Maybe I'll
<v Speaker 2>buy it. We'll see, maybe maybe the podcast will.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, at least it's not eighty. You know. It's a
<v Speaker 1>good deal and it's a game key cut, so you
<v Speaker 1>don't have to worry about any of that like wasted anything.
<v Speaker 2>Cool. Wait, I think the prewer bonus you get like
<v Speaker 2>a free ditto blush somewhere.
<v Speaker 3>See. Can we watch the trailer just to confess?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, I'm turned the sound up.
<v Speaker 2>There'd be strong, all right. Yeah, So dj Ro you
<v Speaker 2>can kind of skip through.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I wanted it to take a look. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>watch the Treehouse. I I didn't never show what you
<v Speaker 1>could do. It seems like.
<v Speaker 3>But for anyone that.
<v Speaker 1>Like hasn't really been paying attention to this, I've been
<v Speaker 1>loosely paying attention. But you start as like a weird
<v Speaker 1>ditto human right in like an empty town, the lap
<v Speaker 1>petate I think it's canto dilapidated. Can it is?
<v Speaker 2>There's a I think there's actually like a section that
<v Speaker 2>is like destroyed Palettown at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, but then and then you you you find Pokemon,
<v Speaker 1>I mean like you catch them, you.
<v Speaker 2>Befriends, befriend them, and they help you out.
<v Speaker 1>And then everyone that you catch or befriend gives you
<v Speaker 1>a new ability, like the bulbousaw mixed so you can plant.
<v Speaker 2>Grass and yeah, the citeer you can cut grass and.
<v Speaker 1>All that X, Y and Z until you like level
<v Speaker 1>out your kit so that you can essentially Minecraft Dragon
<v Speaker 1>Quest Builder is already much exactly.
<v Speaker 3>It's a Minecraft animal crossing version of Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>And the thing that I liked about the first trailer,
<v Speaker 1>which I don't know if we're going to get a
<v Speaker 1>look at in this one is they did like a
<v Speaker 1>pull out of Sorry of the Town. Once they built
<v Speaker 1>it up, you can kind of see it here, and
<v Speaker 1>it actually kind of looked like the original games, like
<v Speaker 1>in a non pixel form. It looks nice, but it
<v Speaker 1>kind of looks like you're building out a Pokemon game
<v Speaker 1>pretty much. That's like, there's clever, pretty cute.
<v Speaker 2>There's a part two I think where like you skip
<v Speaker 2>ahead too, like they're they actually can build like with
<v Speaker 2>colorful blocks if someone actually builds like a giant diddo
<v Speaker 2>at one point.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so it is pretty much like people will get
<v Speaker 1>really wacky with this. Yes, I mean Dragon Quest Builders notoriously,
<v Speaker 1>if you watched my channel back when they Switch one
<v Speaker 1>Era was like the first like third party game that
<v Speaker 1>really blew up for me. I made a lot of
<v Speaker 1>videos on that game actually, and people for people kind
<v Speaker 1>of knew me as the Builders guy for a minute.
<v Speaker 1>I was like in the Builders community and I got
<v Speaker 1>really those first two games were some of the most
<v Speaker 1>hours I put into any game on Switch. Wow. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>so this is like interesting, Actually kind of give me
<v Speaker 1>those I don't know if it's as expansive or fleshed
<v Speaker 1>out as Builders was.
<v Speaker 3>Better be I mean it's seventy dollars.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, here's the so they just kind of can like
<v Speaker 2>build and they think there's like music blocks you can use.
<v Speaker 1>It's also very Minecraft.
<v Speaker 3>It's definitely going to be online too, right where we
<v Speaker 3>using each other's up to four people can be on
<v Speaker 3>an island at one.
<v Speaker 1>I hope it's not restrictive like animal crossing. When it
<v Speaker 1>comes to people online, it looks like everybody is like
<v Speaker 1>happily building together that broa.
<v Speaker 2>So there is one thing I don't correctly. There's other
<v Speaker 2>things that are wrong here chat. But apparently if you're
<v Speaker 2>playing in the same room with people, the host has
<v Speaker 2>to encounter the pokemon first, so like other players can't
<v Speaker 2>find a new Pokemon until until the host finds it.
<v Speaker 3>That's nice.
<v Speaker 1>I think that makes sense. Yeah, because too, you could
<v Speaker 1>like bring someone in who's already maxed out.
<v Speaker 2>And then just like have them and just completely carry
<v Speaker 2>the whole game. Yeah, that makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>I don't mind that that some restrictions make sense, that's true.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, you gotta diet a rug if you pre order.
<v Speaker 2>Oh so, where did I see the Diddo plush as an.
<v Speaker 1>Early purchase bone? Wait, where do you get that from
<v Speaker 1>whoa where do you have to in the game.
<v Speaker 2>In the game, it's real.
<v Speaker 1>So if you think it was real because you said
<v Speaker 1>plush and no it's a rug.
<v Speaker 2>There's like a pre order bonus with or like a
<v Speaker 2>just a purchase bonus. This is like a part like
<v Speaker 2>in the game, like the diddal plush is like actually.
<v Speaker 3>Physically Okay, there's a physical released though. That sucks.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah wait what no, no, sorry, this ta for the
<v Speaker 2>rug is available until next week.
<v Speaker 3>Next week.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you scared me for a second.
<v Speaker 2>So no, it's saying that you can get that. You
<v Speaker 2>got to make.
<v Speaker 1>Videos on your channel.
<v Speaker 3>I probably will test it, honestly, do it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, honestly, I don't want to do that. I think
<v Speaker 1>we're pretty much getting that. Yeah, we're pretty.
<v Speaker 2>So then this is the transition. Oh my gosh. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>oh my gosh.
<v Speaker 1>All right, before actually cuts me, before we get into it.
<v Speaker 1>I wanted I want to preface this right because I
<v Speaker 1>think this is important and I haven't said this yet. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I have a you know, a star history, starry history
<v Speaker 1>with Pokemon apparently videos that I've made, you know, the
<v Speaker 1>windows and all of that. Yeah, been overly critical, like
<v Speaker 1>all the way back to Sword and Shield. I I
<v Speaker 1>had the my reaction to the reveal blew up because
<v Speaker 1>I was really critical of the trees because.
<v Speaker 2>The trees look the trees and all that.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, the graphics in general were bad, but the
<v Speaker 1>trees specifically I thought horrendous. Yeah. Then obviously Za, it
<v Speaker 1>was the windows, like it's always something with, always something.
<v Speaker 1>But for the most part, the general, my general like
<v Speaker 1>thought process has been like that, none of this is
<v Speaker 1>good enough, like it's all so, this could be better.
<v Speaker 1>This is ugly, this is horrific, this is amateur, this
<v Speaker 1>is embarrassing, like everything you want to say. And then
<v Speaker 1>like the performance obviously has been really choppy, Scarlet and Violet.
<v Speaker 1>You are falling through the ground and clipping and all
<v Speaker 1>of this, Like the games were built like wet spaghetti,
<v Speaker 1>you know. And I've complained about almost every Pokemon game
<v Speaker 1>for a while now. So I did see a lot
<v Speaker 1>of comments, even like in the life chat before we
<v Speaker 1>went live, saying can't wait for Wood to pick this apart,
<v Speaker 1>can't wait for Wood to find something wrong with this.
<v Speaker 1>So I want you to know that I already have
<v Speaker 1>a very strong opinion on this. Yeah, and we're gonna
<v Speaker 1>go we're gonna watch it, we're gonna go into it.
<v Speaker 1>Let's let's do it. Oh man, oh man, just in silence.
<v Speaker 1>That's what bit away the moment.
<v Speaker 2>So it's funny because the second page they show, I
<v Speaker 2>thought because it was Jodo. I thought, because it's going
<v Speaker 2>by generations, I thought it was like Legends Jodo. For
<v Speaker 2>a minute, like a split second, I was like, no, way, the.
<v Speaker 1>Cool the cool thing about the start of this is
<v Speaker 1>it's cold, by the way, I'm gonna puse quickly. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's cold wind and waves when we already know yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's been Actually one.
<v Speaker 3>Of the fact that you hear the sound of the wind,
<v Speaker 3>that's the first.
<v Speaker 1>Thing you hear as soon as it starts. You hear wind,
<v Speaker 1>and try to throw.
<v Speaker 3>You off with this little thing here.
<v Speaker 2>But this actually, this is just so nice though it is.
<v Speaker 1>I really like when I was watching this, I was like,
<v Speaker 1>all right, you're gonna do this nice like artist, like, uh,
<v Speaker 1>what's it called? Concept? So gorgeous and pretty, but show
<v Speaker 1>me the game because it's not gonna look line.
<v Speaker 2>Man, that's just cool to go back and see all
<v Speaker 2>the generations. Man, I can't tell you how much I
<v Speaker 2>was smiling or this This is just me smiling. I'm
<v Speaker 2>smiling right now just looking at this again. I've been
<v Speaker 2>watching this stop every day. Oh man, this is so cool.
<v Speaker 1>And then this door comes in.
<v Speaker 3>We need a Pokemon.
<v Speaker 2>Nice little knock on the door.
<v Speaker 3>Who's there?
<v Speaker 2>Open it up and boom yeah, more win, more waves.
<v Speaker 1>Then Pika Cho's mummy the Vaca.
<v Speaker 2>So these guys actually have names.
<v Speaker 1>Did you know that? I saw? Yeah? What was it?
<v Speaker 2>So? Yeah, we have Windy Chew here on the left,
<v Speaker 2>and we have Wavy Chew on the right.
<v Speaker 1>So Wavy Cheo is cute. Windy Chew sounds like he's twoting,
<v Speaker 1>sounds like he's a little fun oh something like that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so we don't know what the significance these guys
<v Speaker 2>have yet.
<v Speaker 1>But no, but my friend Bob, I'm gonna steal his joke.
<v Speaker 1>He uh screenshot them and he captured it on Twitter
<v Speaker 1>with it was like a quote of them talking essentially
<v Speaker 1>like my wife and I love your vibe, like they
<v Speaker 1>look at you across the.
<v Speaker 2>Room, My wife and I really like guys.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah that kind of giving that that durable though. That
<v Speaker 1>is so cool, very cute.
<v Speaker 2>So this is where I thought the trailer stopped for
<v Speaker 2>a second.
<v Speaker 1>Me too. I was because usually when they revealed them,
<v Speaker 1>they revealed them like that.
<v Speaker 2>And it's just like the name of the game. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>And I was just like, okay.
<v Speaker 1>But then I was looking at the run time while
<v Speaker 1>I was watching it back after the fact, I was like,
<v Speaker 1>that's still a couple of minutes here.
<v Speaker 3>Oh my god, Wow, my gosh. You have to know
<v Speaker 3>this is not representative of the gameplay.
<v Speaker 2>It's not done yet, but like, my gosh, compare this
<v Speaker 2>to the other like opening trailers we've gotten. Oh man,
<v Speaker 2>I gotta say though, the winds hat is kind of
<v Speaker 2>a little goofy, just the pockets on the side of
<v Speaker 2>the cowboy hat. I think it's just the only thing
<v Speaker 2>that kind of.
<v Speaker 1>Threw me off.
<v Speaker 2>Look at the I just was amazed by the lighting here.
<v Speaker 2>The environment, the environmentals. That's that's what this game is
<v Speaker 2>most has to be all about.
<v Speaker 3>And just underwater exploration to like finally, since Pokemon Emerald,
<v Speaker 3>Ruby and Sapphire, we can like go underwater. Oh oh,
<v Speaker 3>what have you noticed this time? The trees the mountain.
<v Speaker 1>Let me see, it looks awesome. Yeah, I knew it.
<v Speaker 1>I knew it.
<v Speaker 3>It was awesome. I just hope the game actually looks
<v Speaker 3>like that, Like it's not like this was a trailer design.
<v Speaker 1>We have some things to get into once we get there.
<v Speaker 1>We talked about it on the show already, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna try got to put it in the dock. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna pull it up. There was leaked footage remember the
<v Speaker 1>gameplay of Water. It actually looks very similar to the trailers.
<v Speaker 1>And I do actually think that is the I'll let
<v Speaker 1>it keep playing. I have a lot that I want
<v Speaker 1>to say. I mean, it's very nice, it's very good.
<v Speaker 1>This is above the benmin of them, this is above it, like,
<v Speaker 1>this is this is what I've been asking for, like
<v Speaker 1>that we have. So there's so many like comparisons that
<v Speaker 1>were going to pull that I've got in the dock
<v Speaker 1>that I want to get to. But you know, is
<v Speaker 1>it like the best looking game ever? Like does it
<v Speaker 1>compare with like Resident nine or like even like maybe
<v Speaker 1>some areas and Zeno Blade? Actually maybe Zino Blade? Now
<v Speaker 1>could it like is it like like.
<v Speaker 2>Top of the line.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's a Pokemon game and it looks really good.
<v Speaker 1>This is literally all and there isn't like the other
<v Speaker 1>games look so bad that you did like notice a tree,
<v Speaker 1>or you did, like notice a bad window, Like I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, you just cut to me, but I was
<v Speaker 1>about to say, but in all the frames here, there
<v Speaker 1>isn't like one thing jumping out like you can maybe
<v Speaker 1>if you want to get analytical on the entire image
<v Speaker 1>and like it's still not pretty enough, but there isn't
<v Speaker 1>like one thing that to me that's like that's sticking
<v Speaker 1>out like a sore thumb, and it looks like they
<v Speaker 1>really tried the waves looking credible. This is this is
<v Speaker 1>what I've been asking for, like literally, like I haven't
<v Speaker 1>been expecting you know, like PlayStation five Pro levels of
<v Speaker 1>God of War this whole time. Like I've just wanted
<v Speaker 1>something that didn't look like complete trash. This gorous honestly,
<v Speaker 1>And I've even said a bunch of times like get
<v Speaker 1>the people that made Pokemon Snap. And I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they've done that because they just it's this case game
<v Speaker 1>Freak has developed it. But this kind of looks like
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Snap, like it looks really nice.
<v Speaker 2>Like the environment, the environment is just blowing me away. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>they are here.
<v Speaker 1>I could stop complaining now.
<v Speaker 2>It was too good.
<v Speaker 1>There's there's really only one owl, and it's the lizard
<v Speaker 1>because it's the same thing. We've already had this. We've
<v Speaker 1>already had this sly, sassy water lizard. Like again, I
<v Speaker 1>have comparisons. I'm going to the owl too, but the
<v Speaker 1>owl difference.
<v Speaker 2>It's like a chickpeas.
<v Speaker 1>It looks like Ralet essentially, if you took its eyebrows
<v Speaker 1>and moved it down as a bow tie, you kind
<v Speaker 1>of got Ralt. But the lizard, to me is like
<v Speaker 1>the same sly, sort of sassy, like slant eye vibe
<v Speaker 1>of the other one. There's a comparison of this thing
<v Speaker 1>looks like it evolves into it. It's literally a water
<v Speaker 1>lizard and they just did that. That's weird. That said,
<v Speaker 1>the chicken is so badass, like the chicken is like roping.
<v Speaker 1>The dog is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
<v Speaker 1>I understand picking the chicken. I do. If you're somehow
<v Speaker 1>not picking that dog, there's something wrong with you. That
<v Speaker 1>dog is adorable. I don't even care that it's another dog,
<v Speaker 1>because there's I'm not a fire dog at that fire
<v Speaker 1>I don't even care. My one thing that I will
<v Speaker 1>say right now, game freak, if you make this thing
<v Speaker 1>stand up on its back when it evolves. I'm deleting
<v Speaker 1>the game, and I'm saying, if you make it fire fighting,
<v Speaker 1>I don't. It's just they make every cute thing stand
<v Speaker 1>up and then it ends up looking ugly. Just make
<v Speaker 1>it like of this dog and it's still like this
<v Speaker 1>big fearsome dog, rather than standing up and becoming like,
<v Speaker 1>what's that fighting one a couple? There's there's a month.
<v Speaker 1>Uh no, that's a pig. What are you talking about?
<v Speaker 1>The big fighting dog thing it's in Smash in Cinema. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's not a dog at its same thing that made
<v Speaker 1>it stand up.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay, it's closer to a dog. It goes from yeah,
<v Speaker 2>the bi pedal, I see what you mean.
<v Speaker 1>Bi pedal.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, okay, way. I I just have a.
<v Speaker 1>Problem with the lizard. And I also think the lizard
<v Speaker 1>looks like a different art style compared to the other two.
<v Speaker 2>Someone said it was like like like Littlest Pet Shop
<v Speaker 2>or something.
<v Speaker 1>It looks like little at Pet Shop. Yeah, it just
<v Speaker 1>looks it looks like it's from a different jen as
<v Speaker 1>the other two. Like, it's just it's something I don't
<v Speaker 1>like it, but I love the other two.
<v Speaker 2>I see so out of the other two. Who are
<v Speaker 2>you picking as of right now?
<v Speaker 3>You know you're all right, all right?
<v Speaker 2>Well, I like the I like the gecko. I like it.
<v Speaker 1>I like it water type.
<v Speaker 2>I'm actually a grass type guy. But that's funny. My
<v Speaker 2>last track record for the last two games, I've picked
<v Speaker 2>the water type. So maybe I don't know. Maybe we'll
<v Speaker 2>see if you go with the ground. I really do
<v Speaker 2>like broutroute because it's like eyebrow and like sprout something else.
<v Speaker 1>I hate the names.
<v Speaker 2>This one's kind of a weird and.
<v Speaker 3>There's so many names you can you can.
<v Speaker 2>Bomb is kind of cute.
<v Speaker 1>I forgot that was just dog so much. It's so cute.
<v Speaker 1>Palm this is like what gekua. It's like a gecko,
<v Speaker 1>like an aqua gecko. Yeah. The water, Yeah, this is awesome.
<v Speaker 3>There's the water water that I'm telling you the game
<v Speaker 3>is not gonna look like that.
<v Speaker 1>I think it is it.
<v Speaker 2>Does you know why, because I'll show you. They'll tell
<v Speaker 2>you why the end of the trailer. I'll tell you why
<v Speaker 2>it will.
<v Speaker 1>And I know what you're going to say, Yes, and
<v Speaker 1>that's my favorite thing about the trailer. Yes, but I'll
<v Speaker 1>tell you. I'll tell you why, and I made this
<v Speaker 1>point in my Za video as well before that, before
<v Speaker 1>Za came out. Game Freak are really honest in their trailers.
<v Speaker 1>Every time we've ever got a gameplay trailer, the game
<v Speaker 1>has looked exactly like it or better. Once the game's
<v Speaker 1>finally come out and been worked on. They don't lie
<v Speaker 1>in their trailers, like when they when they revealed it
<v Speaker 1>looked that good though they showed it, and like that
<v Speaker 1>in Chius too, like some of the Pokemon in the
<v Speaker 1>background were like low rares and like popping in and
<v Speaker 1>that was in the reveal trailer, like they just straight
<v Speaker 1>up filmed the game. They weren't trying to hide anything,
<v Speaker 1>and then some of those issues got better once it launched.
<v Speaker 1>But they don't. I don't promise you, they don't lie.
<v Speaker 1>This is what it is going to look like or better.
<v Speaker 2>And there is another specific reason why you'll see in
<v Speaker 2>a second.
<v Speaker 1>See yeah, I know exactly what you're getting at. And
<v Speaker 1>it made me so happy to see it.
<v Speaker 2>Because underwater, Oh this is yeah, this is another thing too.
<v Speaker 2>This is cool. I think this means we can actually
<v Speaker 2>go underwater.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, I mean Pokemon and yeah yeah, and again
<v Speaker 1>this honestly, like you know, everyone's like, why do they
<v Speaker 1>why everyone compares Zeno Blade to Pokemon like all the time,
<v Speaker 1>because like there's a stock difference. I think you do
<v Speaker 1>it now, it's comparable, I would say, I think that
<v Speaker 1>argument is faded now, Yeah, definitely.
<v Speaker 3>I mean with the titles being wind in waves, like,
<v Speaker 3>you obviously expect to have to explore underneath the waves
<v Speaker 3>in the winds, Yeah, it only makes sense. Yeah, if
<v Speaker 3>they limited you to land, then it just defeats the
<v Speaker 3>purpose of the title.
<v Speaker 2>Now, the complaint the logo. I don't like the logos.
<v Speaker 3>The logo.
<v Speaker 2>I like the Winds one. It's the it's the way
<v Speaker 2>the winds ones.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, the waves one graphically doesn't make sense to me
<v Speaker 1>because the word waves actually disappears into the image waves.
<v Speaker 3>It looks so cool compared to the mock up fan
<v Speaker 3>arts that we have.
<v Speaker 1>Because the first you know what it is.
<v Speaker 2>Though, because for the longest time, Pokemon like two different
<v Speaker 2>versions have the same font for like the titles. Because
<v Speaker 2>we just looked at fire red leaf greens the same font.
<v Speaker 2>I think they started doing it differently in Sword and Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Sword and Shield, I think they started changing the actual
<v Speaker 2>like typography of both games.
<v Speaker 1>You know, what I'm being a little harsh.
<v Speaker 2>They're not bad, they're good especial looks. Yeah, that's what
<v Speaker 2>you kind of mean. Though that's not my favorite.
<v Speaker 1>But I will say what I am now liking about them,
<v Speaker 1>now that I'm seeing them big on the monitor up
<v Speaker 1>here in the podcast studio, is they do look very nineties.
<v Speaker 3>It does.
<v Speaker 1>It looks very ninety, especially with that like slash behind it.
<v Speaker 1>That's a very ninety slash. I'm coming around on it.
<v Speaker 1>Like I don't like waves, I like I like the
<v Speaker 1>winds more than the waves.
<v Speaker 3>So which one are you guys going to be playing?
<v Speaker 1>I have a weird thing where I always have to
<v Speaker 1>get the first.
<v Speaker 2>First one, the wind. I kind of did the second
<v Speaker 2>one for the longest time.
<v Speaker 3>I'm more of a wind guy, I would say, like
<v Speaker 3>when I would like if I had to be a
<v Speaker 3>water bender or an airbender, I'm too, to be honest.
<v Speaker 1>I'm a beach man and I like the idea of
<v Speaker 1>waves more. But I always get the first one, like
<v Speaker 1>I just always wave, always got red x son sword.
<v Speaker 1>Always just go the first one. It feels weird to
<v Speaker 1>get for me. I don't know why. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if it's like an O C dcent thing, but it's
<v Speaker 1>like the first one. The second one feels like I'm
<v Speaker 1>missing the first one. If I ever want to play
<v Speaker 1>it again, I'll play the second one, which is the
<v Speaker 1>one that comes out after. I don't know why my
<v Speaker 1>brain does that, And I find it really interesting that
<v Speaker 1>some people pick the second one because I couldn't imagine
<v Speaker 1>doing the.
<v Speaker 3>First one is usually always the more popular one.
<v Speaker 2>Why I liked, Well, it's where I kind of switch.
<v Speaker 2>I did Omega Ruby, I did, Why I did Viole?
<v Speaker 1>It like the first one is always like I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>you know how, Like I don't know how to explain this,
<v Speaker 1>you know how. Like with shapes, you can identify shapes
<v Speaker 1>with personalities, like like a circle is a soft shape,
<v Speaker 1>it's friendly shape, but like a triangles, like a jack,
<v Speaker 1>it's like an angry shape. Yeah, harsh shape. I feel
<v Speaker 1>like they do that with the titles, with the first
<v Speaker 1>ones always harsher and the second one is always softer.
<v Speaker 1>The winds and waves not so much because they're very
<v Speaker 1>like they're both very flowy, but like sword and then
<v Speaker 1>shield like the scarlet which is like a deep blood red,
<v Speaker 1>and then violet, which is like them like the classic
<v Speaker 1>red and blue, which, like red is is an angry
<v Speaker 1>color and blue is like a half solid colors.
<v Speaker 3>And why, oh my god.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I always identify with the stronger like color or
<v Speaker 1>the stronger emotion.
<v Speaker 2>What I mean, Yeah, okay, I get that. It's definitely
<v Speaker 2>more of like a psychological thing. All right, this is yeah,
<v Speaker 2>watch this, Yeah, this is what's the first thing you see?
<v Speaker 2>This saved the entire well, he actually can't see it.
<v Speaker 2>What's the first thing you see there?
<v Speaker 3>The first thing that I see.
<v Speaker 2>There's two things you can look at here, m okay,
<v Speaker 2>two things that should really pop.
<v Speaker 1>Out right that that make this so much better? Yes, this, guys,
<v Speaker 1>this guy's not. This guy doesn't Pokemon. Go ahead, tell
<v Speaker 1>me all right.
<v Speaker 2>Notice that says Nintendo switch to There is no switch
<v Speaker 2>one logo there at all. This is a switch to exclusive.
<v Speaker 1>I mean obviously, yes, but but but that's not that's
<v Speaker 1>not my thing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh and okay, that's part of my think. The other
<v Speaker 2>thing twenty twenty seven, that is, this game is not
<v Speaker 2>coming out this year, so.
<v Speaker 3>They're going to be working on it. Yes, they so,
<v Speaker 3>bro I mean, but like that's I thought I was
<v Speaker 3>looking for something in the details.
<v Speaker 1>The reason why that's such good news is because this
<v Speaker 1>is the first time that they've ever missed released the year.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, they have, they've announced something that isn't.
<v Speaker 3>That's why maybe last year they released the Pokemon Switch
<v Speaker 3>to edition from for the other ones, yeah ones, because
<v Speaker 3>it bought them maybe an extra yunit of time to
<v Speaker 3>like keeping.
<v Speaker 2>It doesn't count thinkin maybe for that.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, well no, I know, but it's like, wasn't
<v Speaker 3>it already a game that came out in like twenty
<v Speaker 3>twenty four?
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Za No I was last year?
<v Speaker 2>Da was last September.
<v Speaker 3>What was the one before that? That was twenty oh
<v Speaker 3>Z how to Switch one and To editions?
<v Speaker 1>Yes, yeah, yeah, Okay, So the main title series, which
<v Speaker 1>is like when you get the dual releases of the
<v Speaker 1>Winds and Waves, the Reds and Blues, Scarland and Violets,
<v Speaker 1>those are always lined up typically at the end of
<v Speaker 1>the year, and they line it up so that they
<v Speaker 1>can start doing the anime and they can do the
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon cards and there's a very tight release window, which
<v Speaker 1>is why they release Broken and Buggy and they're bad,
<v Speaker 1>And it's one of the biggest points in a couple
<v Speaker 1>of my big videos. I made about Pokemon where I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>you keep rushing these games out because they are the
<v Speaker 1>starting point of being able to sell everything else, which
<v Speaker 1>is great for everything else, and you make your money
<v Speaker 1>from everything else, but the games are suffering because of it,
<v Speaker 1>and the games are why we're all here. So them
<v Speaker 1>not forming this year and actually doing it next year,
<v Speaker 1>and who knows when next year?
<v Speaker 3>It's very vague they earlier.
<v Speaker 1>It really implies that this game, hopefully for the moment.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm sure there's still like some timeline they've
<v Speaker 1>got figured out that they're going to try and line
<v Speaker 1>up with, but hopefully we'll come out closer to when
<v Speaker 1>it's ready rather than closer to when the Pokemon cards
<v Speaker 1>are ready and when the anime is ready, and everything
<v Speaker 1>else is probably.
<v Speaker 2>At least rules out like spring summer release. I think
<v Speaker 2>it's still like November more than or at least fall
<v Speaker 2>holiday season type of thing. Yeah, so you have, you
<v Speaker 2>have a year and then some for this for.
<v Speaker 1>This game to come on.
<v Speaker 3>So that's wonder how much they've already developed of it
<v Speaker 3>so far.
<v Speaker 2>Look at this.
<v Speaker 1>Oh thanks, oh thank you, thank you. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>finish up my thought here before we do this but uh,
<v Speaker 1>a couple of things too. I'm not sure if they've
<v Speaker 1>actually said yet, but I believe people have kind of
<v Speaker 1>pinpointed unless it's actually public and I'm just saying it.
<v Speaker 2>I looked at a lot, what do you go.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I think but people I don't know if it's
<v Speaker 1>if they've said, but I think people have figured out
<v Speaker 1>that this is like a Southeast Asia, the Philippian So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>like Philippines stuff like that. And so someone actually sent
<v Speaker 1>me a question because they had to the picture of
<v Speaker 1>the guy and the hat and the beach vibes, and
<v Speaker 1>they were like, is this game set in Australia. No,
<v Speaker 1>but it makes sense that you think that because the
<v Speaker 1>Philippines is very close to Australia, like it's the then
<v Speaker 1>the next closest thing, and so a lot of Australia's
<v Speaker 1>identity as far as beaches and the trees and kind
<v Speaker 1>of like the culture isn't isn't too far away when
<v Speaker 1>it comes to winds and waves. So that's also really exciting,
<v Speaker 1>even for me, although I would actually love an Australian
<v Speaker 1>I feel like that has to happen at some point.
<v Speaker 1>Death Stranding just did it. But yeah, that's really cool.
<v Speaker 1>And then the last thing I want to talk more
<v Speaker 1>about this but we do actually have a spot, a
<v Speaker 1>really fun sponsor that we have to go into. But
<v Speaker 1>the last thing I'm going to say is to anybody,
<v Speaker 1>And I like to clarify this even though I know,
<v Speaker 1>like if you watch me, you follow me, you hear
<v Speaker 1>all my opinions, you try and stay up today, and
<v Speaker 1>you're not just like on Twitter looking at my thumbnails,
<v Speaker 1>you'll know that, Like I do try and be pretty critical,
<v Speaker 1>and I do try to be pretty fair, and I
<v Speaker 1>do actually enjoy Pokemon and want the best for Pokemon,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't just crap on things or be analytical
<v Speaker 1>on things for clicks or views, like I legitimately just
<v Speaker 1>want things to not be bad. Sure, right, so there's like,
<v Speaker 1>there's nothing here for me to be negative about. There's
<v Speaker 1>nothing here for me to hate. This looks like they've
<v Speaker 1>actually taken the criticism. They've actually tried. Whatever engine they
<v Speaker 1>have at work for the water is well and above
<v Speaker 1>anything they've done before. Everything looks great. Everything looks like
<v Speaker 1>a switch called a switch one game. But hopefully, like
<v Speaker 1>hopefully we'll get some nice frame rates. I think I
<v Speaker 1>heard someone do a breakdown of just the trailer was
<v Speaker 1>running at thirty frames, which kind of implies that this
<v Speaker 1>might be a thirty frame game, which, honestly, game Freak
<v Speaker 1>is so bad at designing games like they really they
<v Speaker 1>like building out games. I wouldn't be surprised if a
<v Speaker 1>right off here is this game actually looks nice, but
<v Speaker 1>it does run at thirty frames, like I wouldn't be surprised.
<v Speaker 1>But I would take a game that looks like this
<v Speaker 1>and runs at thirty frames, then a game that looks
<v Speaker 1>like anything like there other games at two hundred and
<v Speaker 1>forty frames, like me, this is good, right, I'll play
<v Speaker 1>this at thirty So I guess we'll see. I have
<v Speaker 1>like comparisons of scarlet and Violet and sword and shield
<v Speaker 1>and comparisons from this game to put together. And then
<v Speaker 1>we have memes and funny jokes and so much more
<v Speaker 1>stuff that I want to go into. But this video,
<v Speaker 1>this episode of the podcast is sponsored. It's a really
<v Speaker 1>fun one. It's soukuriko, which is this So I'll wait
<v Speaker 1>till this comes back around. Actually, but you can play
<v Speaker 1>the music. You can hit the music.
<v Speaker 2>There you go, you.
<v Speaker 1>Guys, Sully look behind you? Then actually did Pat Lee? Oh?
<v Speaker 3>We got something.
<v Speaker 1>You might need to pick at the sticker.
<v Speaker 3>I was gonna, you know, I gotta trusted the box
<v Speaker 3>cutter on.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, okay, I need you to throw that to me.
<v Speaker 3>Oh wow, Yeah, it serves as a doubles as a
<v Speaker 3>box cutter.
<v Speaker 1>Oh that's cool. So like, while we're sorry trying to
<v Speaker 1>oh thank you, how you use this?
<v Speaker 3>Just push the box cutter out from the back.
<v Speaker 1>Am I I'm going to stab myself?
<v Speaker 3>No, it's not that.
<v Speaker 1>That's interesting. You guys can crack open your box all right.
<v Speaker 3>Here, pass it back because I'm gonna need it to
<v Speaker 3>pa and.
<v Speaker 1>I'll crack open my box.
<v Speaker 3>All right.
<v Speaker 1>So this episode of the podcast is sponsored by Tokyo
<v Speaker 1>treating Scuraco specifically today Scuraic, their sister companies and where
<v Speaker 1>we're taking a look at the Scurco box. You can
<v Speaker 1>click a link in the description below and use code
<v Speaker 1>nontendo to get five dollars off your first box. We
<v Speaker 1>we reached out to them to see if they wanted
<v Speaker 1>to come back and sponsor the show because they used
<v Speaker 1>to sponsor all the time, and they were excited to
<v Speaker 1>run a test and see see how we go back
<v Speaker 1>in this new format of the show so thank you
<v Speaker 1>so much to them. You're get you can show them
<v Speaker 1>going through the box and you can kill that. Yeah
<v Speaker 1>for that second, who cares about manuals? Well you should
<v Speaker 1>because the manual has all the dietary restrictions and also
<v Speaker 1>it tells you what the snacks are in.
<v Speaker 3>The ingredients and it reads from right to learn.
<v Speaker 1>And the flavor profiles because I guarantee you're not going
<v Speaker 1>to know what's in a lot of this.
<v Speaker 2>But probably not. I'm taking a look at it now.
<v Speaker 3>Okay.
<v Speaker 1>So Securiko is probably my favorite of the two boxes
<v Speaker 1>because it's actually artisan snacks from all around Japan. These
<v Speaker 1>are local snack makers, they're traditional snacks, they're handmade these box.
<v Speaker 1>This box always comes with two exclusive teas. This box
<v Speaker 1>tea is really cool. I don't want to open it.
<v Speaker 1>I'll open it. I'll show you. So this tea is
<v Speaker 1>actually really unique because the tea is actually a flower.
<v Speaker 1>It's a secure flower, I believe, and when you put
<v Speaker 1>it in water, hot water, it activates and it blooms
<v Speaker 1>into anatual flower and then you get all the flavor
<v Speaker 1>of the Secura hour as well, which is really really
<v Speaker 1>cool and unique and I've never had that happen before.
<v Speaker 1>I actually I'm doing a sponsor spot for them on
<v Speaker 1>beatam Ups. I've already I've already filmed that happening on
<v Speaker 1>my on my main channel, and it's just it's really
<v Speaker 1>cool and the teas pare well with everything else in
<v Speaker 1>the box. So here you'll have mulchiese I believe these
<v Speaker 1>are Socura mulchiese yes, which you have a pack over there.
<v Speaker 1>You can try all of this dig in. These little
<v Speaker 1>biscuits have Soccura like gel on the inside. Those are
<v Speaker 1>really good. There's a little snack cake, everything that pairs
<v Speaker 1>well with teas and coffee. Every Socura Coo box comes
<v Speaker 1>with a exclusive kitchen ware and yeah, you've already cracked
<v Speaker 1>that one open. You can do the front. It's a
<v Speaker 1>little pink dish.
<v Speaker 3>You know.
<v Speaker 1>You have a lot of little dishes from these Scura Coos.
<v Speaker 1>It's really cool. Try something, eat something, get amongst it.
<v Speaker 1>See how you feel. Try the strawberry waffle cookie.
<v Speaker 3>I was actually about to do.
<v Speaker 1>I'm I'm I'm excited because I just did this. But
<v Speaker 1>bet the moles, like I said, and we get only
<v Speaker 1>one of these in here, and I wanted another one.
<v Speaker 3>All right, I want you to try this too, So
<v Speaker 3>I'm gonna cut it in half and you can the
<v Speaker 3>other half.
<v Speaker 1>M M, I'm sorry. Now I'm eating and I feel
<v Speaker 1>bad that I'm meeting here.
<v Speaker 3>We're gonna try it right now.
<v Speaker 1>Every month, that's sweet, Get in that. What do you
<v Speaker 1>feel about? Yum yummy? We were joking earlier that the
<v Speaker 1>whole time we'd be going yummies yum. So every month
<v Speaker 1>is a different theme. And if you couldn't tell by
<v Speaker 1>what I was describing already, this month's theme is sokura,
<v Speaker 1>which is I believe I could be wrong here, but
<v Speaker 1>I believe you know, in April when everything blooms. I
<v Speaker 1>think that's like you see everything's pink in Japan. I
<v Speaker 1>believe cherry blossoms. Right? Is that that's socura? Right? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so this is flavored like the cherry blossoms because this
<v Speaker 1>month's box is themed after spring, which, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>can't I think we have like a week left and
<v Speaker 1>then we're officially in.
<v Speaker 3>Next week is going to be sixty nine degrees? Is
<v Speaker 3>it really.
<v Speaker 1>Strawberry?
<v Speaker 3>It looks like a candy?
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, that's in the air?
<v Speaker 3>Oh?
<v Speaker 1>Was that the free dride white chocolate strawberry that things
<v Speaker 1>like the bad God. Wait, I don't have that, alwyes
<v Speaker 1>I do. Kim must have.
<v Speaker 3>Eaten my that was so good thing in the box.
<v Speaker 1>It's a free dried white chocolate. I think it's freeze dried.
<v Speaker 1>It is inside the strawberry. It was very creamy. It's awesome.
<v Speaker 3>What do we got? What is this thing?
<v Speaker 1>Now? This is I have to read this it for
<v Speaker 1>this month springing focus on you can show them while
<v Speaker 1>I say this, focus on sharing what spring in Japan
<v Speaker 1>feels like. No, I'm reading the wrong thing. They're telling
<v Speaker 1>me that I should be.
<v Speaker 3>Very cinnamony too. Mm.
<v Speaker 2>We're just going to eat.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, here we go this springs. Let me finish my strawberry.
<v Speaker 1>Go ahead, No, I'm eating?
<v Speaker 3>What is this?
<v Speaker 1>This is the podcast.
<v Speaker 3>We're all just munching and yeah, this is this is
<v Speaker 3>you know, this is great.
<v Speaker 1>We would do this every episode this spring. So Cura
<v Speaker 1>Goo invites you to enjoy Hanami, Japan's cherry blossom. You
<v Speaker 1>audition with the securre goat in bloom box inside your fine,
<v Speaker 1>delicately crafted seasonal sweets like Secura Castillella, Sakura mochi. That's
<v Speaker 1>Kim's favorite, by the way, the mochi. Did you try
<v Speaker 1>the mochi? I couldn't even share it with me for
<v Speaker 1>sharing with friends and family.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, it's all packed. You are really good.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, the whole thing is awesome. So if you want
<v Speaker 1>to experience Japan's limited edition Secure treats, you can pull
<v Speaker 1>up that uh that box again, the little what do
<v Speaker 1>we call it? What do you call that? Third? Sign
<v Speaker 1>up for Sakura co uh at the link down below
<v Speaker 1>if you do a multi month plan. So if you
<v Speaker 1>book multi months, you'll receive an exclusive Secura theme gift,
<v Speaker 1>or if you use COTD Nintendo, you'll get five dollars
<v Speaker 1>off your first Let's go.
<v Speaker 2>That's perfect.
<v Speaker 1>You guys can keep that box over there. Actually, I
<v Speaker 1>have one of these at home too. The thing you
<v Speaker 1>want to feels weird? What is it? Have you had
<v Speaker 1>mulchi before I did this?
<v Speaker 3>Feels like I would assume a baby wrap of mouse
<v Speaker 3>feels like, you know, say that a sponsor. But it
<v Speaker 3>was good.
<v Speaker 1>I can't take you anywhere, man?
<v Speaker 3>Is it good?
<v Speaker 1>Really good? That the best You can get them as
<v Speaker 1>ice cream too.
<v Speaker 3>I always get the ones that are practical. You gotta
<v Speaker 3>try one, now, try a baby rap.
<v Speaker 1>Try to stop cost just the sponsor you're paying for it.
<v Speaker 3>No, I'm sorry, the guys, this is really good.
<v Speaker 1>I get the heat turned down because I have gone
<v Speaker 1>so rosy cheek or the y I guys, take this off.
<v Speaker 1>You don't have to zoom in on my rosy cheeks.
<v Speaker 3>Good, right, that's really good.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, if you want to grab a box, links
<v Speaker 1>down below. Honestly, it's so much fun if you're just
<v Speaker 1>doing it for yourself, or you want to like invite
<v Speaker 1>some friends over and you want to open it up
<v Speaker 1>and share some treats. If you love Japan, if you
<v Speaker 1>missed Japan, if you like Japan snacks. Also, they didn't
<v Speaker 1>send the Tokyo treat one or tell me to talk
<v Speaker 1>about that, but Tokyo Treats box is full of like
<v Speaker 1>popular snacks and like things you're finding like the seven
<v Speaker 1>eleven and a lot of like kit kats and fun
<v Speaker 1>stuff like that. So you can also grab that box
<v Speaker 1>too while you're over there. But yeah, but obviously this
<v Speaker 1>is the one. Soakurrika, thank you so much for sponsors.
<v Speaker 1>Really appreciate it great. Honestly a perfect episode to sponsor too.
<v Speaker 1>We're talking about Japan, and Pokemon and or you know,
<v Speaker 1>so yeah, thank you, thank you so much. I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to finish this waffle as good.
<v Speaker 2>There's too much stuff in your forrisity right now, it later.
<v Speaker 1>I could do this all day, bro, I should have
<v Speaker 1>bought a coffee. Oh right, sure? Why did Pat have
<v Speaker 1>to go home? Pat? Make me a coffee? Delicious? All right? Okay, okay,
<v Speaker 1>all right, let me get back on track here. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna bring up some things don't show just yet.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna bring up all these links that I have
<v Speaker 1>in my doc of like comparisons thirty fps, some memes
<v Speaker 1>that I have about the dog Pokemon, which is funny
<v Speaker 1>but don't stand meme. That was another one. I kind
<v Speaker 1>of already talked about that. But all right, so first up,
<v Speaker 1>I want to show this. I mean, this is just
<v Speaker 1>this is what I'm talking about, yes, right, this is
<v Speaker 1>literally like this is what I was playing and complaining,
<v Speaker 1>right like, I don't I know, it's it's so I
<v Speaker 1>feel like it's so obvious to some people. I feel
<v Speaker 1>like I'm beating my head against the wall with this
<v Speaker 1>because I would get online and I would make videos
<v Speaker 1>and podcasts and content talking about it looking bad and
<v Speaker 1>legitimately Pokemon fans would defend it and they would say
<v Speaker 1>it's not that bad or blah blah blah or like
<v Speaker 1>I was being overly critical and I feel like most
<v Speaker 1>people know that that looked harrisic. Right now we have
<v Speaker 1>this direct comparison, like literally what a generation apart, and
<v Speaker 1>now it looks like a game that is deserving of
<v Speaker 1>our money, that is deserving to be played, that is
<v Speaker 1>of twenty twenty seven standard even right, And it's like,
<v Speaker 1>dear Pokemon fans, I would just like to ask, what's
<v Speaker 1>the what's the excuse now? Like what like now that
<v Speaker 1>you've seen this, like do you still think that looks good? Right?
<v Speaker 1>Like I don't want to get negative about it, but
<v Speaker 1>like yeah, I mean I was just I legitimately feel
<v Speaker 1>like I'm going insane when I try and talk about
<v Speaker 1>my issues with Pokemon and then you have you have
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon themselves showing you what I've been wanting this whole time.
<v Speaker 3>How good?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, It's just it really is. It really is exciting.
<v Speaker 1>It's exciting. Like as I am, I made this true
<v Speaker 1>Like in my last like big breakdown, I was like
<v Speaker 1>I am a Pokemon fanes Pokemon fans make me feel
<v Speaker 1>like I'm not right, Like they come at me a
<v Speaker 1>lot because I either like Skipple the story in a
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon game, which makes me lot a Pokemon fan, or
<v Speaker 1>I don't like every mobile game, or like I can't
<v Speaker 1>name every Pokemon or what I had Red and Blue
<v Speaker 1>when I was a kid. I had fire Red when
<v Speaker 1>I was a kid, Like I put four hundred hours
<v Speaker 1>into that, Like I grew up with more nostalgia for
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon than than most other things. Like for me, it
<v Speaker 1>was Zelder and Pokemon. I would say, well, my two
<v Speaker 1>favorite things when I was a kid. Sure, as I
<v Speaker 1>grew up, I fell more and more out of Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>as it wasn't keeping up, you know with me. As
<v Speaker 1>I grew up, it wasn't keeping up right.
<v Speaker 3>But I still love the ten generations. I've played most
<v Speaker 3>of them, honestly. After Carlos that was the last I finished.
<v Speaker 3>I've done like six, and then the last four and
<v Speaker 3>even the Legends games.
<v Speaker 1>So I if I was to be honest, I so
<v Speaker 1>Red and Blue, Gold and Silver obviously, I mean that
<v Speaker 1>was just peak age fire Red, Ruby, I played What's Next?
<v Speaker 3>What about her? Gold Soul?
<v Speaker 1>Silver?
<v Speaker 3>Didn't play those you didn't play those, didn't play those.
<v Speaker 1>So you canto you did ho in? Did you do
<v Speaker 1>yodo do joo? Well, what I don't, don't, don't give
<v Speaker 1>it to me like that gold and silver, gold, silver, yes, okay,
<v Speaker 1>crystal crystal yes?
<v Speaker 3>Wait?
<v Speaker 1>No, what was the other one?
<v Speaker 2>Gold and silver, crystal, crystal? No, okay?
<v Speaker 3>What about black and white?
<v Speaker 1>Black and white? I skipped. That was the first one.
<v Speaker 1>I remember. That was the first one I did not play. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>So what about X and Y Yes? Finished it?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, okay, what about Omega ruby, Alphaea fire?
<v Speaker 3>Well those are technically no.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, Actually I did go back o that Sun and
<v Speaker 1>Moon I started Son. I don't know how far I
<v Speaker 1>got in that was, I'm that was my breaking point. Really,
<v Speaker 1>I hated Son like it was just so monotonous and boring,
<v Speaker 1>two different.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know. I can't criticize Son. I just don't
<v Speaker 3>know why. After Callos, I just lost interest in Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>Because we grew up and the games weren't growing up.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe the games did not grow up with us.
<v Speaker 3>I think it was also just like the introduction of
<v Speaker 3>all these new Pokemon that I'm just like, yeah, maybe
<v Speaker 3>they didn't resonate with me as much.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, maybe, I mean, like obviously, visually the games looked
<v Speaker 1>like like Leapfrog Level, like Baby Level, right, so like
<v Speaker 1>even if there was like some elements in the game,
<v Speaker 1>as an adult, you could gleam and you could justify
<v Speaker 1>buying and playing. Visually they looked like, you know, my
<v Speaker 1>kid's been watching a lot of Miss Rachel recently.
<v Speaker 3>That's like the go of children content.
<v Speaker 1>And the visuals of the show are like clip art
<v Speaker 1>like that. It's like Baby Level, and that's Pokemon for me.
<v Speaker 1>When I see it, it's like it's like clip on.
<v Speaker 1>It's like just basic, like the colors move a little
<v Speaker 1>and that's the game.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>Character models were great. Yeah, I got like crumbs.
<v Speaker 3>All over this time.
<v Speaker 2>I know, I just I try to sweep them off.
<v Speaker 1>Anyway, this this looks great. I mean I can't. I
<v Speaker 1>can't enough with just like this. This is Wood ranting
<v Speaker 1>for the last eight years. This is Wood finally getting
<v Speaker 1>to enjoy a poke.
<v Speaker 3>Somebody at game Freak definitely saw your videos and they
<v Speaker 3>were like, you know, we gotta make sure everything.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's just like that everyone about it, like
<v Speaker 1>me making those videos sure that helps because it gives
<v Speaker 1>people are signing a sounding board. But it's not a
<v Speaker 1>sentiment that I was alone in.
<v Speaker 3>No, of course, the games definitely did not look up
<v Speaker 3>to Park what like. You know, they know the amount
<v Speaker 3>of money they have in the production teams they got,
<v Speaker 3>they should be making games that look like this all
<v Speaker 3>the time.
<v Speaker 1>If this is game Freak making this, I think that's
<v Speaker 1>another clear sign that whatever was happening before, especially when
<v Speaker 1>you look at the Xbox situation with game Freak, whatever
<v Speaker 1>was happening before is more than just game Freak can't
<v Speaker 1>make a game. It's game Freak are being pushed to
<v Speaker 1>their absolute limits to make a game in a very
<v Speaker 1>short amount of time.
<v Speaker 2>That's what it mainly is just.
<v Speaker 1>And we're just getting these like bare bones, like alpha
<v Speaker 1>bills essentially of a game before they can actually do
<v Speaker 1>any polish. And it's like they don't have time to
<v Speaker 1>go back to a draw oring board and make anything
<v Speaker 1>from scratch. They have to like take all the assets
<v Speaker 1>they have and figure out how they can cram them
<v Speaker 1>into the new thing. It's they they just didn't have time,
<v Speaker 1>I guess. I mean there's a lot of incompetent incompetency
<v Speaker 1>in there as well, obviously, but I mean, if they
<v Speaker 1>can do this one generation from doing that something was
<v Speaker 1>clearly wrong before and getting a release date like twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty seven, it.
<v Speaker 3>Could be because they have like an actual buffer now
<v Speaker 3>between the release date of like letting like this game
<v Speaker 3>coming out that they can actually put more like a
<v Speaker 3>decent buffer.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like, I don't want to hear too much
<v Speaker 1>of people saying like the Switch one was limiting them,
<v Speaker 1>because it wasn't. It wasn't the games they were producing. No.
<v Speaker 1>I mean again, we go back to the Dinner Blade
<v Speaker 1>comparisons and so many other comparisons of games doing so
<v Speaker 1>much more in saying that if they are a little incompetent,
<v Speaker 1>I think and having that switch to power, which the
<v Speaker 1>switch to is honestly doing some insane things, Like I
<v Speaker 1>don't think people have really a hundred percent caught on
<v Speaker 1>to what the Switch two can do. I mean, you
<v Speaker 1>look at Recent Evil seven and eight. I've been sharing
<v Speaker 1>screenshots online and I'm gonna pull up I want to
<v Speaker 1>talk about that later in the episode. But even nine
<v Speaker 1>that just came out, like the developers at Capcom said
<v Speaker 1>that the switch to ran Resident Evil nine like a dream.
<v Speaker 1>They were like it surprised us how well it managed
<v Speaker 1>to keep up, and so giving game Freak the switch too.
<v Speaker 1>Even though the switch one wasn't a problem, it definitely
<v Speaker 1>opened up them to be able to in their like
<v Speaker 1>incapable way, actually pushed things forward a little bit more.
<v Speaker 2>So.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the switch to I think is definitely key to
<v Speaker 1>helping them here for sure, even though they could have
<v Speaker 1>done better on Switch one, I think that power is
<v Speaker 1>definitely now. So yeah, let's see here here, I have
<v Speaker 1>some other things. I'm gonna bounce around this. That's some
<v Speaker 1>more Pokemon stuff. I just have a bunch of links here.
<v Speaker 1>And this is what the the game Boy box looks like.
<v Speaker 1>Kind of Jupiter for real.
<v Speaker 2>Here there's a lot of text on there, isn't there
<v Speaker 2>a lot of There's a lot of mess.
<v Speaker 3>They should have had it where like it had that
<v Speaker 3>plastic cover in the front showing the game Boy. They
<v Speaker 3>should have had it completely enclosed. Yeah, I think something
<v Speaker 3>something more official. I mean, that looks just very cheap.
<v Speaker 1>But one thing I'm noticing though, is the front is
<v Speaker 1>completely unbranded as Pokemon. It's just the sides. Yeah, which
<v Speaker 1>does tell me that they could release another one that's
<v Speaker 1>like Mario themed. And then the sides could be Mario.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe even do one with Zelda too, you never know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely they could do Zelda, and I think that
<v Speaker 1>would be Mario. Mario or Zelder would be the obvious
<v Speaker 1>next one. Yeah, I think that. I think you might
<v Speaker 1>see that. I guess it depends how well it sells,
<v Speaker 1>because if it doesn't sell it maybe hot.
<v Speaker 2>From what I'm hearing, yeah, from the people who are
<v Speaker 2>at So this picture is from Nintendo New York well events, I.
<v Speaker 1>Mean, yeah, that's at the event and it gets revealed
<v Speaker 1>and they walk out with it. That's like buying merch
<v Speaker 1>at a band at a concert. Yeah, like oh yeah,
<v Speaker 1>yeah yeah, but you see like the overall like online
<v Speaker 1>I see, yeah, like online the Pokemon Center and stuff
<v Speaker 1>to see it.
<v Speaker 2>You know that makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>This was what I saw from Central Leaks, they said, sadly,
<v Speaker 1>and while things can change between now and release, Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>Wins and Ways runs at thirty FPS on the trailer,
<v Speaker 1>not sixty. I'm not surprised by that. Again, hmm. Game
<v Speaker 1>freak is pretty I hate to keep saying it, but
<v Speaker 1>it's just what they've proved to me over the years,
<v Speaker 1>incompetent at developing a video game and that's mean to
<v Speaker 1>say that when they've done this, which is really good.
<v Speaker 1>But I do think the trade off is that it
<v Speaker 1>would run a little less, which you know, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe that's wrong. Maybe it's just a trailer. Maybe it
<v Speaker 1>will run, but it is a very nice looking game
<v Speaker 1>with some pretty good water graphics. At sixty, he's depending
<v Speaker 1>on how it was developed, which if it was by
<v Speaker 1>game Freak, it might be pushing it. I think some
<v Speaker 1>teams could get it up to sixty, but I think
<v Speaker 1>the game Freak it might be pushing it. Again, I'll
<v Speaker 1>take saying.
<v Speaker 3>Scarlett and Violet and Pokemon Z trailers were sixty fps
<v Speaker 3>though right get like.
<v Speaker 1>He's Scarland of Violent and Za. I believe both of
<v Speaker 1>those got sixty fps patches yeap for.
<v Speaker 3>Patches, but like as he's referring to specifically the revealed trailer.
<v Speaker 1>Because Star Violet's reveal trailer wouldn't have been sixty because
<v Speaker 1>that was switched one. So I do believe he's just
<v Speaker 1>talking about the games of sixty on switch to right now,
<v Speaker 1>and this game is thirty unlike those two games that
<v Speaker 1>sixty he's basically it is just the trailer, though it
<v Speaker 1>is safety thirty fps too. It could be safety thirty.
<v Speaker 1>But also the way that like video production works, it
<v Speaker 1>should be if they were targeting sixty, they should be
<v Speaker 1>rendering their trailers out at sixty. However they could have
<v Speaker 1>it could be sixty and they just rendered the trailer
<v Speaker 1>out in thirty fps and made a mistake. Yeah, so
<v Speaker 1>I understand it's you can't really judge it by that,
<v Speaker 1>but it's not a great sign you know of it
<v Speaker 1>being sixty, but it's not make or break.
<v Speaker 2>It could be like the situation let's say with how
<v Speaker 2>Metro Prime four had the Performance mode and the Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there could be modes they could swop between the two,
<v Speaker 2>especially now that is a switch exclusive.
<v Speaker 1>I would, honestly, I would like to try it out. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>even I like that option, even if I'm gonna play
<v Speaker 1>in performance anyway, just because every now and then, when
<v Speaker 1>I get to a nice spot, you want to see quality.
<v Speaker 1>That's what it looks like, and I would throw it
<v Speaker 1>back in.
<v Speaker 3>That's funny.
<v Speaker 1>Nice, Thank you choose your pond bon wisely. Pokemon Wins
<v Speaker 1>and Wars. I thought this was funny.
<v Speaker 3>I want the wins one. Don't give me wet doggy.
<v Speaker 1>But look out sweet he looks so drippy.
<v Speaker 3>Wet doggies don't smell good.
<v Speaker 2>No, they even even Pokemon probably smelled pretty bad.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is funny though. I like that one.
<v Speaker 2>That's pretty cute.
<v Speaker 1>And then I saw pretty good. That's pretty solid. I
<v Speaker 1>like how it is literally just the dog with a.
<v Speaker 3>Little bit reminds me of Logan Paul's crypto skim, which
<v Speaker 3>is just take two photos and you know together.
<v Speaker 2>I do remember that it's just the poisoned dark frog.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I was saying this to you guys in chat earlier.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if we can get a shot of
<v Speaker 1>the dog as a cartoon. I don't think it's in
<v Speaker 1>the trailer that was no like the you know how
<v Speaker 1>there's like a cartoon render of it. Oh yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>then like the Yeah, I think it looks more like
<v Speaker 1>what the point I'm gonna make. But him, the dog,
<v Speaker 1>the way his his hair is looks like the shield
<v Speaker 1>dog from Sword and Shield. It's like it's like the
<v Speaker 1>same design. It's like it it looks like it should
<v Speaker 1>have been in Sword and Shield. It looks like a
<v Speaker 1>shield dog.
<v Speaker 3>Well, I mean, you know, there's one twenty five Pokemon.
<v Speaker 3>There's only so many designs you could come up with
<v Speaker 3>before you legitimately run out of design.
<v Speaker 1>Actually that's a good point. Let me show you Intellion.
<v Speaker 1>That's true.
<v Speaker 2>They just start using random things and random whatever for
<v Speaker 2>or just recycled something.
<v Speaker 1>They didn't show any like new Pokemon, did they other
<v Speaker 1>than these.
<v Speaker 2>Just the starters from what I saw?
<v Speaker 1>Tell me that this hold on? Where is she tell
<v Speaker 1>me that that doesn't evolve into that? No, No, it's
<v Speaker 1>the same.
<v Speaker 3>Thing it is, But like if it evolved into something
<v Speaker 3>like that, come on.
<v Speaker 1>But that's the start of from Sword and Shield.
<v Speaker 2>Like That's what I'm saying. Compare like the starter from
<v Speaker 2>Sword and Shield, like the base form where it's just
<v Speaker 2>like crying little like.
<v Speaker 1>It's just so weird that they did another water lizend
<v Speaker 1>and gave it the same eyes. Is that not?
<v Speaker 2>Is that not?
<v Speaker 1>Like? Think about that? Am I am? I think maybe.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe just because like it's like the generation right after
<v Speaker 2>it that we were thinking about it a lot versus
<v Speaker 2>like you know we already had.
<v Speaker 1>There has to be so many options for status.
<v Speaker 3>Or maybe Nintendo or a game freak was just like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, this is another version of a lizard geck
<v Speaker 3>like thing that is in a different part of the
<v Speaker 3>Pokemon world.
<v Speaker 1>That's related to the s but it's a start of Pokemon,
<v Speaker 1>So put it in the game if you want, but
<v Speaker 1>like as a start of Pokemon, give like another option,
<v Speaker 1>because like, if you're a water guy, if you always
<v Speaker 1>pick water and two generations later you're back to another
<v Speaker 1>water lizard, I mean, I'd be a little disappointed.
<v Speaker 2>Like this thing could evolve to like something like Godzilla
<v Speaker 2>at some point, it would be kind of funny, crazy
<v Speaker 2>thing that would actually be crazy.
<v Speaker 1>The evolve would be the make up break here. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>both of those four legged ones don't stand up. I hope.
<v Speaker 1>I hope the dog stays on. That's the biggest one.
<v Speaker 1>Keep the dog down.
<v Speaker 2>Keep the dog down.
<v Speaker 1>But if the lizard stands up, it's going to be
<v Speaker 1>like in Telly on, So keep them both down.
<v Speaker 2>That makes that makes sense, or else I might.
<v Speaker 1>Have to pick the chicken. I'm not gonna lie upset
<v Speaker 1>me that much.
<v Speaker 2>Brow brow rout, I do take it's just sprout. No, Well,
<v Speaker 2>we had blast toiters as a turtle, and we had
<v Speaker 2>mud Kip Mudkip who was like a I think.
<v Speaker 1>Right, that's very similar.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then if Sable is like the lizard kind
<v Speaker 2>of thing, and I.
<v Speaker 1>Just want to see it again, maybe while we're last time.
<v Speaker 1>I want to pass through we got a duck because
<v Speaker 1>again just like what is that Quaxley Quaxley? Nothing is really,
<v Speaker 1>oh there is. I don't I'm not complaining about anything
<v Speaker 1>yet because I just haven't seen enough of the game.
<v Speaker 1>But someone did point out that it didn't look like
<v Speaker 1>any of the buildings were enterable, but I only saw
<v Speaker 1>like huts, and then like this thing, This thing isn't
<v Speaker 1>a great sign because they do the Pokemon just keep
<v Speaker 1>doing these open faced stores now where it's like a
<v Speaker 1>building with like a storefront and you just talk and
<v Speaker 1>that's like the closest you get to like going in somewhere.
<v Speaker 1>Now they do need they need to make buildings you
<v Speaker 1>can walk into. I don't know why, but that was
<v Speaker 1>like such a nostalgic element of the older games, just
<v Speaker 1>going into the way.
<v Speaker 3>So you're telling me that the newer ones you can't
<v Speaker 3>enter into buildings.
<v Speaker 1>Some not for the most part, not really, And then
<v Speaker 1>if you can, it's usually you walk in. Then like
<v Speaker 1>a jpeg menu comes up.
<v Speaker 2>For some of the shops.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, yeah, some of the shot there's very very few locate.
<v Speaker 1>I mean even in the I mean, the the worst
<v Speaker 1>defender was Pokemon Z. As you play it, I didn't.
<v Speaker 3>I'm telling you after X and.
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Z was set in a city that was all
<v Speaker 1>buildings and you could go into like Z.
<v Speaker 3>Three like it was like kind of like Carlos.
<v Speaker 2>It was Callos.
<v Speaker 1>It was in a city and you could go into
<v Speaker 1>like three buildings and they were all part of the
<v Speaker 1>story and you had to go into them like maybe once.
<v Speaker 1>Ye see.
<v Speaker 3>This year, my intention is to play through all of
<v Speaker 3>the Pokemon games good plays on my channel, so when
<v Speaker 3>this game comes out, you'll know.
<v Speaker 2>I see what you mean.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, we haven't seen enough locations for me to
<v Speaker 1>confidently be like, you can't go into any building for
<v Speaker 1>me to get upset about it. But I do agree
<v Speaker 1>that this shot hit that one there is the one
<v Speaker 1>people were I don't know how to how do you
<v Speaker 1>like nudge backwards that, yeah, there you go. Those they
<v Speaker 1>don't look like you. I mean, people are like that
<v Speaker 1>you can't go in there. I don't know, like it's
<v Speaker 1>too it's too soon for me to say, yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>would be cool if you could. I mean, if you
<v Speaker 1>could walk into this hut and like there's like a
<v Speaker 1>pokey bowl on the ground and you get a TM like.
<v Speaker 1>That's all I'm talking about, just to make it feel
<v Speaker 1>like the world is a bit more interactive and it's
<v Speaker 1>not like badly designed, you know, But that's not make
<v Speaker 1>or break for me. If the game is set mostly
<v Speaker 1>outside in the wind and the waves, it looks nice
<v Speaker 1>out there. Yeah, So I mean, I'll take what I
<v Speaker 1>can get. I'm not gonna nitpick. I'm really just not
<v Speaker 1>gonna nitpick, and I feel like I'm.
<v Speaker 2>Not I would agree with that. I'm legitimately this is
<v Speaker 2>all just like face value stuff that were seeing for
<v Speaker 2>the first time.
<v Speaker 1>So sure, I'm legitimately excited and not. Absolutely nothing is
<v Speaker 1>sticking out to me that I'm angry about. Final thoughts
<v Speaker 1>before we move on to some side stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know about you guys, but I am very
<v Speaker 2>excited about this. But I just think overall. The one
<v Speaker 2>thing though, I do want to say is because I
<v Speaker 2>think I mentioned before how like some of the games,
<v Speaker 2>there are just some Pokemon you couldn't bring in them
<v Speaker 2>for whatever reason. That was a whole big problem when
<v Speaker 2>Sword and Shield first came out, because they explicitly said,
<v Speaker 2>oh yeah, by the way, not there won't be a
<v Speaker 2>national Pokedex, which means that you can't have every single
<v Speaker 2>one in there, and they've been doing that since then,
<v Speaker 2>So I think it'd be a crazy big miss if
<v Speaker 2>they don't allow you to bring every single one of
<v Speaker 2>like the oneenty twenty plus Pokemon in that.
<v Speaker 1>Game into this game.
<v Speaker 2>In this game now it would be you want dream
<v Speaker 2>That would be like, like, are you You may as.
<v Speaker 1>Well go stop peeing endlessly because you are dreaming.
<v Speaker 3>That's like one of the big finale Pokemon game And
<v Speaker 3>that's yeah, that's.
<v Speaker 2>Part of it. Where Like I've all the Pokemon games
<v Speaker 2>I've played, I still have some of my original teams
<v Speaker 2>like in there, and I've never really thought about transferring
<v Speaker 2>because either I couldn't bring them into the game I
<v Speaker 2>wanted or I'm just like what do Yeah? So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I feel like this game is specifically like you have
<v Speaker 2>to be able to bring everyone in there. Otherwise, like
<v Speaker 2>like I think if this game.
<v Speaker 1>I think if this game was called something like Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>Ultimate or like.
<v Speaker 3>Pokemon like Lookemon Legs World Legends is already Pokemon Legacy.
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon World like that Pokemon Pokemon World. It's a little
<v Speaker 1>Mario World.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Pokemon World, isn't it that like Pokemon Worlds.
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon Verse. If it was something like all encompassing, I
<v Speaker 1>think you'd have a better chance. So that wins and
<v Speaker 1>Waves sounds like we're getting another Pokemon game. It's going
<v Speaker 1>to have some of the old ones and then a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of new ones. Yeah, I mean it would be sick.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if like this, like when visiting Southeast
<v Speaker 1>Asia is the time where you get every single hey
<v Speaker 1>guys coming to I think that doesn't mix with what
<v Speaker 1>I'm seeing here.
<v Speaker 2>I'm just thinking it's like it's just like the theming
<v Speaker 2>of it because it's it's the tenth generation. It's like
<v Speaker 2>it's you're celebrating third I mean the thirty anniversary has
<v Speaker 2>nothing really to do with like the.
<v Speaker 3>Full game, right Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>But like I feel like, just like because it's a
<v Speaker 2>milestone generation, like sure, just bring them all in.
<v Speaker 1>I think you should count your lucky stars that it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't look like wet spaghetti again because I think that's
<v Speaker 1>the winhit.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, I mean that's like the only like one
<v Speaker 2>thing like that'd be great if they had that part
<v Speaker 2>of but like, yeah, this is it looks amazing. I'm excited.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it'd be great if that was, like, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know what's like a good amount of Pokemon. Four hundred,
<v Speaker 1>three hundred four I think.
<v Speaker 2>The most that have poked besides like the national decks,
<v Speaker 2>I think it's probably been abound, like four hundred Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, but let's go let's go like a comfortable four fifty.
<v Speaker 2>Plus saw like the how many new ones they'll bring
<v Speaker 2>in this one too?
<v Speaker 1>So let's go a comfortable four four fifty.
<v Speaker 2>Four fifty Pokemon. Do you think I could see that? Like?
<v Speaker 1>You want five hundred, five hundreds a lot?
<v Speaker 3>You're asking for too much?
<v Speaker 1>He sounded like me right now, He's sound like you're
<v Speaker 1>asking what's going on? Now?
<v Speaker 2>I look with death, I knew it now all right?
<v Speaker 1>I think I think we did.
<v Speaker 2>Do you have anything else.
<v Speaker 1>To throw on or you know?
<v Speaker 3>This is this is the game that's bringing me back. Man,
<v Speaker 3>I'm coming back to the Pokemon fans.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I think we should play it because then we
<v Speaker 1>could all trade battle and what did you guys say?
<v Speaker 1>I'm wins, You'll.
<v Speaker 3>I'm going to be winning.
<v Speaker 2>I might do waves, okay.
<v Speaker 1>Waves we need because we need those those, you know,
<v Speaker 1>we gotta.
<v Speaker 3>We also got to be different starters too, so he's
<v Speaker 3>going to be the get go okay, determining can we
<v Speaker 3>like way at least a couple of months?
<v Speaker 1>No, you said, Gecko said, as of.
<v Speaker 2>Right now, I'm the gecko.
<v Speaker 1>You're lucked in and you wanted chicken.
<v Speaker 3>I'll take the chick.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm the dog.
<v Speaker 3>There you go.
<v Speaker 1>You have to, we have to.
<v Speaker 2>We'll have this. I'll have to buy both games and
<v Speaker 2>then the one that we're doing again.
<v Speaker 1>Now you're buying both games.
<v Speaker 3>You buy Poke a p Yeah, you're playing both exactly.
<v Speaker 1>You're buying the same game twice.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not the Pokemon guy anymore.
<v Speaker 1>What's going on?
<v Speaker 2>By all right, Well we'll settle it. Then we'll do that. Man,
<v Speaker 2>I love Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>What time are we at? I know you said, but
<v Speaker 1>an hour and ten? Okay, we got Well, we got
<v Speaker 1>to be It's just a Friday night.
<v Speaker 2>Friday, right, nothing goes crazy going on.
<v Speaker 1>The cheeks are so rosy right now.
<v Speaker 3>What happened?
<v Speaker 1>It's excited? Not really yeah, but I'm really warm, is why.
<v Speaker 1>And Pat's not here to turn down the.
<v Speaker 3>How dear Pat, leet trade us l and the chick?
<v Speaker 1>You know what I'm going to do. Actually, I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>dive tight in because I want to show you, guys
<v Speaker 1>how good Resident Evil looks. Let's take a look, because
<v Speaker 1>I have been completely blown away by this and I
<v Speaker 1>just I need to talk about it. Also, I got
<v Speaker 1>my Resident Evil controller in the mail today.
<v Speaker 3>Are you using it right now?
<v Speaker 1>Nope? I'm actually using the moment. So what is the
<v Speaker 1>It just has like some.
<v Speaker 2>Oh I'll show you. Yeah, he's gonna unbox it here.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't want to give like too many spoilers here,
<v Speaker 1>but I've been playing Resident Evil and I'm this is
<v Speaker 1>just where I am in the game, and this is
<v Speaker 1>this is this alone, like without going into showing you
<v Speaker 1>too much, Look how good this looks? Wow?
<v Speaker 3>Is that Frankenstein on the table of a Pinocchio version
<v Speaker 3>of Frankens.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not going to give you spoilers. Oh that is?
<v Speaker 1>That is spoiler? Kind of not really?
<v Speaker 3>So can I like play this game online with you?
<v Speaker 3>Can we like jump into the same world and you know,
<v Speaker 3>have fun together?
<v Speaker 1>What is your problem? No, what is your deal? It's
<v Speaker 1>Resident Evil.
<v Speaker 2>It just looks phenomenal.
<v Speaker 1>The frame rate I passed through on what we're streaming
<v Speaker 1>from is really low, so it's making it look a
<v Speaker 1>bit stuttery. It does run at a nice sixty in
<v Speaker 1>most inside areas. Some of the more open worldy areas
<v Speaker 1>are like thirty. But I'm just blown away by this game,
<v Speaker 1>like the lighting, the HDR, the the everything about it.
<v Speaker 3>Is it scary?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's it's not that bad. This one's a bit
<v Speaker 1>more actiony than seven that is scary. This area in
<v Speaker 1>particular has been kind of are.
<v Speaker 3>You dealing with this area? Ghoules, monsters in this area.
<v Speaker 1>It's psychological. So I'm not going to give too many spoilers,
<v Speaker 1>but you're I'm trapped right now. Something trapped me in
<v Speaker 1>here and took away all my weapons, and so I'm
<v Speaker 1>trying to like entity, I'm trying to escape room out
<v Speaker 1>and I keep seeing visions of my wife. She did
<v Speaker 1>We don't know, but it seems like yes. But at
<v Speaker 1>the same time, it's like weight is she And like
<v Speaker 1>you'll be walking down a hallway and then suddenly she'll
<v Speaker 1>pop up and she'll start talking, and it's it is
<v Speaker 1>quite creepy. Like one time I walked out here and
<v Speaker 1>she was standing at the end of this hallway and
<v Speaker 1>I was like, oh, my god, I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>walk down there, so is it is a little creepy,
<v Speaker 1>But that's Resident Evil. I had some screenshots of it
<v Speaker 1>that I shared on Twitter, but for anyone that hates
<v Speaker 1>Twitter like me, I just took some from around the world,
<v Speaker 1>and it's just it's just phenomenal, Like it really is
<v Speaker 1>just absolutely blowing me away. And then yep, okay I did.
<v Speaker 1>I did take that one. Yep. So these ones were
<v Speaker 1>hands too, so that's handheld. And then over here I
<v Speaker 1>took like a similar photo in Docked.
<v Speaker 3>It's just so, are these like free camera screenshots or
<v Speaker 3>are these like just you in game and you just
<v Speaker 3>screenshot what you see.
<v Speaker 1>There's actually a there's a camera setting so if you
<v Speaker 1>go photo mode and then you can hide hide this somehow.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, hide like the and then you can just take.
<v Speaker 1>A photo of anything you want. Yeah. So that's that.
<v Speaker 1>I finished Resident Evil seven. I hadn't played these games before.
<v Speaker 1>Well that's a light seven. I started in VR when
<v Speaker 1>it came out and it was too scary a lot
<v Speaker 1>and I stopped. Actually, I don't like scary games, so
<v Speaker 1>usually I try and stay away from them. But I'll
<v Speaker 1>say that they're not as scary as I thought, and
<v Speaker 1>they're actually really awesome, Like I didn't realize the So
<v Speaker 1>Resident Evil is kind of a weird franchise at this
<v Speaker 1>point because the first three games back in the day
<v Speaker 1>were like PlayStation one or whatever, and they were quite
<v Speaker 1>creepy for the time, and they had like a specific
<v Speaker 1>style and they were already like horror thriller in like
<v Speaker 1>tank controls. And then four went really action y. It
<v Speaker 1>was third person still, but it was like action thriller
<v Speaker 1>that did so well that Capcom leaned too heavy into it,
<v Speaker 1>and then five and six became pure action games. Five
<v Speaker 1>managed to be fun still, but it was pure action.
<v Speaker 1>Six was a travesty. It was so bad. So seven
<v Speaker 1>they went back to like the horror roots and made
<v Speaker 1>it first person. But they also when they did that,
<v Speaker 1>and I didn't realize this, they kind of moved away
<v Speaker 1>from zombies and it's more like you are haunted by
<v Speaker 1>and followed around by in these locations, these like bigger
<v Speaker 1>and larger than life freakazoids. So in eight, it's for
<v Speaker 1>the first part in the mansion, it's the big mum
<v Speaker 1>mummy lady. Yeah, like she follows you around with these
<v Speaker 1>giant like wolverine claws and like, so you'll you'll walk
<v Speaker 1>into a room and then all of a sudden you'll
<v Speaker 1>open the door and she'll be standing there. She'll be
<v Speaker 1>like found you, and then you have to run away
<v Speaker 1>from her and she chases you around. But there's like
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of them, a bunch of these like wackos.
<v Speaker 1>So and then there's like there are enemies that you kill,
<v Speaker 1>but they're not like zombies. They're like they're like lichens,
<v Speaker 1>like like were wolves and like bats and like I
<v Speaker 1>don't know all kinds of So it's really cool. It's
<v Speaker 1>really over the top and graphic, and I feel like.
<v Speaker 3>I'd be too scared to play these games on my own.
<v Speaker 3>That's why if it had, like, you know, a second
<v Speaker 3>player out, I probably must around.
<v Speaker 2>We'll just played during the day, that's what I would.
<v Speaker 1>Well, nine just came out. I mean, chat will have
<v Speaker 1>to let us know how scary is nine, because honestly,
<v Speaker 1>it looks like they've gone a little bit more because
<v Speaker 1>seven was pretty scary. Eight went a lot more action y,
<v Speaker 1>and they made it so so in seven I just
<v Speaker 1>played them back to back, so they're on my mind.
<v Speaker 1>In seven, when you killed something, you didn't get anything
<v Speaker 1>for killing it, so typically I would try and avoid
<v Speaker 1>the enemies and conserve my AMMO because I would run out.
<v Speaker 1>Really In eight, they went a bit more action y,
<v Speaker 1>and they enemies drop rewards that you can sell for money,
<v Speaker 1>so it actually incentivizes you to engage and kill things
<v Speaker 1>so that you don't worry about running out because you
<v Speaker 1>can use the money to buy more. So it's a
<v Speaker 1>lot more combat, it's a lot more action. So eight's
<v Speaker 1>not that bad. And then nine kind of looks like
<v Speaker 1>it's even like it's even gone third person again, so
<v Speaker 1>it looks like it's not that scary.
<v Speaker 3>I like the first person mode though, it's more.
<v Speaker 2>You can do both.
<v Speaker 3>I think you can play it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, if I'm getting poke, cope, you gotta play some
<v Speaker 2>scary game.
<v Speaker 3>No, I'm going to play it, trust me. I ain't
<v Speaker 3>no pussy.
<v Speaker 1>Also, can you give me that box cutter because I
<v Speaker 1>did want to take a look, and uh, there's a
<v Speaker 1>really cool look it up triple pack of the games
<v Speaker 1>full pack bolls you can pass me that. Uh switched.
<v Speaker 1>I ordered it from best Buy and it said shipped,
<v Speaker 1>but it hasn't got here yet. I just it feels
<v Speaker 1>so quiet in this room.
<v Speaker 2>The minister.
<v Speaker 1>I am I am felt it. Caleb, do you know
<v Speaker 1>where the I'm really sweating. I'm getting really uncomfortable. I'll
<v Speaker 1>try out.
<v Speaker 3>We need Caleb also left.
<v Speaker 1>It seems you can show this screen. Is it just
<v Speaker 1>read out there? Sorry?
<v Speaker 2>Who's out there?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? Okay, oh thank you? I don't know. Just make
<v Speaker 1>make that big number go smaller, you mean like lower? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this pack came out.
<v Speaker 3>Today, President Evil Generation pack.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how much is it actually because it?
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god? Why does game stuff always make you
<v Speaker 1>verify ninety bucks? Wow?
<v Speaker 3>But you get three games.
<v Speaker 1>That's really not bad. Yeah, but three really great games
<v Speaker 1>and fantastic ports remote. Yeah that's it that you turned
<v Speaker 1>it off?
<v Speaker 3>Go download.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna it's it's honestly so warm, I'm gonna pass out.
<v Speaker 3>Can we just call pat you know have them? Uh?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, thirty years of Resident Evil.
<v Speaker 1>It actually isn't doing anything temperature. Oh there we go. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's just beeping a lot and doing nothing.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe you have to like turn it on.
<v Speaker 1>Is there like an on switch? Yeah? It turns it
<v Speaker 1>off on and off. Oh okay, you guys, it's really
<v Speaker 1>am I crazy? Is it really hot? In here. It
<v Speaker 1>just goes my jacket.
<v Speaker 3>Wait on the hey, you got it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it was on That's what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 3>You can't hear it.
<v Speaker 2>I felt it for a minute.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna do that and then hopefully it's gone st man.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, that looks like an error now is east seven? Sorry?
<v Speaker 3>Chat?
<v Speaker 1>Sorry everybody listening.
<v Speaker 4>Alright, this might be our last one for we gotta
<v Speaker 4>do as I got to figure that right between the
<v Speaker 4>I did want to show this Resident Evil Requiem on
<v Speaker 4>PlayStation five has an eighty eight, which is one of
<v Speaker 4>the highest reviewed Resident Evils in a long time.
<v Speaker 1>But hopefully it's still uh yeah, it's actually ninety on
<v Speaker 1>switch Wow, so it actually everyone's saying that you switched
<v Speaker 1>to is the worst place to play this game. It's
<v Speaker 1>actually place.
<v Speaker 3>Stop saying that, Like, come on, guys.
<v Speaker 1>It's actually the best place to play.
<v Speaker 3>That point just a switch to hater and I know
<v Speaker 3>you probably have one.
<v Speaker 1>Oh I wanted to pull another link. I guess I
<v Speaker 1>didn't save it. But there was comparisons of the game
<v Speaker 1>to PlayStation five, and in some elements the DLSS of
<v Speaker 1>the switch to was actually out performing and looking a
<v Speaker 1>little better In some ways than PlayStation. Okay, overall, PlayStation
<v Speaker 1>looked better. They did like a they did a good
<v Speaker 1>thing where they changed I should have found a picture
<v Speaker 1>of it. But they actually changed her hairstyle for switch
<v Speaker 1>to because have you ever noticed I talk about this
<v Speaker 1>a lot, but switched to or switch ports in general,
<v Speaker 1>the hair is always the giveaway because it always looks
<v Speaker 1>really bad. The Final Fantasy director actually explained why that
<v Speaker 1>happens in like detail It's it's kind of it's a
<v Speaker 1>fancy way of describing what you would think, and it's
<v Speaker 1>just the detailer is too much to render, especially when
<v Speaker 1>you blow it up with the LSS. It just kind
<v Speaker 1>of like freaks out. So they actually changed her hair
<v Speaker 1>style or her hair for the switch to version. It
<v Speaker 1>actually is like a different cut, but it is easier
<v Speaker 1>to render. It doesn't look as like.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, thank you for that capcom. That's pretty cool.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, some cool things at work there. Oh, we didn't
<v Speaker 1>actually on the show talk about well, I guess we
<v Speaker 1>kind of did, but fire Red and Leaf Green came out.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, it was funny. After last week's podcast, we
<v Speaker 3>went home and then you sent us a.
<v Speaker 1>Couple hours after. Yeah, So shout out to The Riddler,
<v Speaker 1>although I guess we did mention that on Scott's episode, right,
<v Speaker 1>we didn't, no bonus, No, I swear we said something
<v Speaker 1>about the Riddler, and.
<v Speaker 3>We said before the podcast, I've just.
<v Speaker 2>Been like pre show stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well they're out, And again, I would like to
<v Speaker 1>I would like to say, I'd like to propose the
<v Speaker 1>thing that I've always tried to do on this podcast
<v Speaker 1>is I I don't like to bring you leaks or
<v Speaker 1>rumors or anything unless I really do. I'm really vibing
<v Speaker 1>with it, and I really feel like I'm presenting things
<v Speaker 1>that have a good chance of happening. And then when
<v Speaker 1>we do show things that I'm like no, it's usually
<v Speaker 1>when like the Internet's blowing up about it and I
<v Speaker 1>feel like I have to talk about it and I'm
<v Speaker 1>like no, which was like the Nintendo Direct situation. Yeah, right,
<v Speaker 1>that's right. And this was another one where we were
<v Speaker 1>pretty confident on this and we when we liked what
<v Speaker 1>the Riddler was putting down and it made pretty much
<v Speaker 1>so I think we did. I mean, we were we
<v Speaker 1>were kind of vibing.
<v Speaker 2>We were like them, we were like, I have no
<v Speaker 2>reason not yeah, And it kind of came out of
<v Speaker 2>like like out of nowhere, so to speak, and like, oh.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you Professor Rupp for the five gift that I
<v Speaker 1>just saw it on my TV behind me.
<v Speaker 2>The very nice yeah, but the idea of like yeah,
<v Speaker 2>just coming out of nowhere. And then I remember I
<v Speaker 2>think I actually think I was the one who sent
<v Speaker 2>it to everyone, because like I kept seeing all the
<v Speaker 2>notice I was like, oh my gosh, this is because
<v Speaker 2>it was on the shop first, and.
<v Speaker 1>We're like, what happened that came out today? Right?
<v Speaker 3>Yes?
<v Speaker 1>I mean so to Resident Evil nine. Actually, I I
<v Speaker 1>was gonna ask chat, do I have to finish eight
<v Speaker 1>before starting nine? Because I'm I only just got to
<v Speaker 1>the second you know where I am because I just
<v Speaker 1>showed you and I kind of want to start nine,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm wondering if I should finish eight finish. And
<v Speaker 1>then I was going to ask you you have you
<v Speaker 1>had a chance to play Red and Green?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? I literally just after it came yeah, after the presents,
<v Speaker 2>like it was available and I was like, okay, I
<v Speaker 2>have to players tomorrow.
<v Speaker 3>It wasn't available at midnight last No.
<v Speaker 1>No, I went to go buy it and maybe like
<v Speaker 1>start it a little bit earlier, and you know how
<v Speaker 1>it says new when it's out and pre order when
<v Speaker 1>it's pre order. It actually said next to each other
<v Speaker 1>new pre order double. I've ever seen that before. I
<v Speaker 1>looked at it and I'm like, oh, I don't well
<v Speaker 1>think you could?
<v Speaker 2>You could buy it and like a quote unquote downloads.
<v Speaker 2>When you click on the plane software, it checks to
<v Speaker 2>see if you can play mid midnight apparently like.
<v Speaker 1>It couldn't do all my games brother, with all the
<v Speaker 1>fans stuff. I actually forgot that. I was trying to open.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, yeah, hey, you want me to try to
<v Speaker 2>take a crack out of the game in that fan
<v Speaker 2>Oh if you.
<v Speaker 3>Want, I also have a game for you would if
<v Speaker 3>you want to do it?
<v Speaker 1>Oh I do, I do? Hold on, let me see
<v Speaker 1>if so. There was nothing for Zelda fortieth. I think
<v Speaker 1>we mentioned that there is Legos. Oh wait, no, there
<v Speaker 1>was no Legos. The Legos came up before, but we
<v Speaker 1>had take that as your fortieth anniversary.
<v Speaker 3>Great, yeah, oh legos two legs, plastic guys.
<v Speaker 1>Legos. There was this. Actually I forgot to mention this.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo mostly ignored the Zelda's fortieth anniversary. But here are
<v Speaker 1>some toy versions of classic weapons. So again this is
<v Speaker 1>one of the Yes, yes, this is really sick Japan
<v Speaker 1>only things bro see you know me? But I do
<v Speaker 1>have a contact. I'm trying to hit up to try
<v Speaker 1>to get them. What are you going to get? Don't
<v Speaker 1>tell me you're gonna get all nine? Oh yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>you do know? Do you not know me? No?
<v Speaker 3>I knew, but I was like if I if I
<v Speaker 3>were to get I think get the Grudu sword.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I'm gonna get like scimitar because you.
<v Speaker 3>Know I'm the you know, the Prince of Grudos.
<v Speaker 1>Are you're Gannon?
<v Speaker 3>Well I'm not Gannon. I'm the good Prince.
<v Speaker 2>Oh I don't know there was a good prince.
<v Speaker 1>All right, I've unboxed this bad boy. Wow. Look so
<v Speaker 1>here's the thing. Here's the thing about this. I do
<v Speaker 1>like it. There's a meme because it says resident to
<v Speaker 1>evil on it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, resident too evil.
<v Speaker 1>Well, people, there's a lot of people that are like
<v Speaker 1>and to be fair, like it's barely any different because
<v Speaker 1>it's kind of just like a newspaper on the front.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how noticeable it's going to be, but
<v Speaker 1>it's actually uh lightly through the color is they call it?
<v Speaker 1>I think gun metal the color of it gun, So
<v Speaker 1>it's a gun metal.
<v Speaker 3>Blacks should like put it next to your other switch control.
<v Speaker 1>This isn't a this isn't mumba. It's got kind of
<v Speaker 1>like a shine and like a like a metallic almost
<v Speaker 1>look to it. It. It does actually look pretty nice.
<v Speaker 3>Seventy dollars, I don't know, that's.
<v Speaker 2>Like eighty ninety probably, I think that's not. The joy
<v Speaker 2>cons are one hundred.
<v Speaker 1>It is really cool. It does, it does. This is
<v Speaker 1>kind of text. It a bit different too. It's a
<v Speaker 1>bit more rough. That's cool, but it's barely any different.
<v Speaker 1>It is sick, but it's barely Uh yeah, that's what
<v Speaker 1>we got for Zelda stuff. And then there's some Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>trinkets as well, that went live trinkets. You go, did
<v Speaker 1>you see this?
<v Speaker 3>Yes, I'm always so jealous of Pokemon fans because game
<v Speaker 3>Freak will always drop the most crazy, nice little trinket,
<v Speaker 3>key chains, little cool cutesy stuff. Like as a collector,
<v Speaker 3>I would buy all of this, I would destroy it.
<v Speaker 1>It's always Japan, man, It's always so Also, from what
<v Speaker 1>I hear from the guys who are at Intern New
<v Speaker 1>York today is that the game Boy stuff and like
<v Speaker 1>maybe like a couple of hats were like the only
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon things available for the event, and they also said
<v Speaker 1>that they're not they're no longer selling Pokemon cards at
<v Speaker 1>the New York store, like.
<v Speaker 2>Like moving forward the heck why scalpers?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe yeah, maybe that's my document. Oops, that's okay. Though,
<v Speaker 1>I think we're good. I think we can probably do
<v Speaker 1>your game.
<v Speaker 3>I can.
<v Speaker 1>I do have to pee to survive. I don't even
<v Speaker 1>have to wash my face.
<v Speaker 3>You probably should go do that.
<v Speaker 1>No, we'll do it later and then we'll do the
<v Speaker 1>bonus episode. There was a couple things that I actually
<v Speaker 1>wanted to mention. If you want to get prepared over there, sullly,
<v Speaker 1>I'll just say that I didn't get to mention this
<v Speaker 1>in Scott's episode. But somebody sabotaged our free bonus episode
<v Speaker 1>in the last week.
<v Speaker 3>Was really I think it was Unite.
<v Speaker 1>No, it was not me. I don't know who it was.
<v Speaker 1>So you know that we did the free bonus episode
<v Speaker 1>last week for everybody on the Thursday. Well, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know at what point it happened, but Monday morning I
<v Speaker 1>was uploading podcast related staff and audio, and I went
<v Speaker 1>to go and find the bonus episode, and I couldn't
<v Speaker 1>find it anywhere, and it turns out it got switched
<v Speaker 1>to private, so I was technically it was unlisted, but
<v Speaker 1>for those that don't know, that means that essentially you
<v Speaker 1>just can't find it. If you had a link for it,
<v Speaker 1>you could watch it, but it was unlisted, so I
<v Speaker 1>switched it back to public for everybody. My best guess
<v Speaker 1>looking at the views on it, they seem to completely
<v Speaker 1>stall out on Saturday about two pm. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>who did it. There's a few people that have the
<v Speaker 1>log in now, and it was obviously it was an accident.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it could have been me, but I wasn't
<v Speaker 1>that like computer on Saturday. It is a very weirdly
<v Speaker 1>like intentional thing you have to do. The only thing
<v Speaker 1>I can imagine it being an accident is if somebody
<v Speaker 1>had it loaded up in their browser from like the Thursday,
<v Speaker 1>they just hit saying something and it could be That's.
<v Speaker 2>The only thing I can assume.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't supposed to be hidden, but it is public
<v Speaker 1>now and unfortunately did completely kill the episode in the algorithm,
<v Speaker 1>and it is kind of just a dead episode now.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, that's what happened with that. People were asking,
<v Speaker 1>and yeah, I was gonna also do. What did you
<v Speaker 1>guys think of Scott's episode? We didn't really.
<v Speaker 2>I loved it, Yeah, as much as like people kind
<v Speaker 2>of are like having their own thoughts and opinions about it.
<v Speaker 2>I think it was like one of the the funniest
<v Speaker 2>things I've been.
<v Speaker 1>A part of it.
<v Speaker 3>I like how it wasn't you didn't go into it
<v Speaker 3>with like a I mean you kind of had like
<v Speaker 3>a blueprint of how you wanted to do it, but
<v Speaker 3>it ended up going Scott's way anyways.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so I loved it.
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was great.
<v Speaker 1>I had some of the biggest laughs that I've had
<v Speaker 1>in this podcast, like especially in the new new version,
<v Speaker 1>but in all of it. I mean, Scott really is
<v Speaker 1>just such a funny and nice guy to dinner after a.
<v Speaker 2>PA everybody, such a nice dude.
<v Speaker 3>He would have take no for an answer on that.
<v Speaker 1>I told you guys this, and this is like no
<v Speaker 1>shade to anybody, because, like you know, I did like
<v Speaker 1>ten guests at some point when we did those episodes,
<v Speaker 1>and Scott was the first one, and every single guest
<v Speaker 1>I offered to pay their flights and accommodation, and everyone
<v Speaker 1>rightfully took me up on it because it's a big
<v Speaker 1>trip and you know, you need to get some sort
<v Speaker 1>of compensation. He refused to ever give me any kind
<v Speaker 1>of payment information. It just I was like no, And
<v Speaker 1>this time again like he didn't ask, he didn't want it.
<v Speaker 1>He brought us dinner. Scott's the best, and he's he's
<v Speaker 1>so sweet, he's so nice, he's blessed. So he did.
<v Speaker 1>I'll let you know. He did message me after and
<v Speaker 1>he was like, do you think I was? Was I
<v Speaker 1>too in character? Was I too satic? Like did I
<v Speaker 1>ruin it? And I was like no, no, it was great.
<v Speaker 1>It was just you know, I did have a I
<v Speaker 1>did have an idea of where I wanted to take conversations,
<v Speaker 1>and he was Scott the wazzing all over them. She
<v Speaker 1>was watching head breaks on them and it I think
<v Speaker 1>for me it made me panic a little because I
<v Speaker 1>was like, where do I get out? How where do
<v Speaker 1>I go now? But I think once we had the
<v Speaker 1>moment where I was like, what do you want to
<v Speaker 1>talk about? Yeah, I think from there I just let
<v Speaker 1>go and I.
<v Speaker 3>Was He kept saying he doesn't like to repeat the
<v Speaker 3>same things he's already talked about, which is fair. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>and then it's it's funny because I was watching his channel,
<v Speaker 3>like a couple of days before the podcast, he had
<v Speaker 3>uploaded a video talking about like the state of Nintendo
<v Speaker 3>switch to and like probably and he kind of gave
<v Speaker 3>all of his thoughts, so I can understand maybe why
<v Speaker 3>he didn't wanted to. Yeah, pretty much all that information.
<v Speaker 1>The same way. I just figured, like our audience might
<v Speaker 1>want to know his opinion, but you could just go
<v Speaker 1>watch his video. I guess why. No, Yeah, we talked
<v Speaker 1>about piss instead.
<v Speaker 2>We did that probably the funniest time to talk about
<v Speaker 2>piss at that point.
<v Speaker 1>It was very and it led to the water ball moment.
<v Speaker 2>It was like memory moment.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I love Scott and yeah, I'm so glad he
<v Speaker 1>came out, and we have another guest. Uh not next week,
<v Speaker 1>but the week after that. I think is gonna excite people,
<v Speaker 1>to surprise people. So okay, let's do our game.
<v Speaker 3>All right, So this is this is uh convenient because.
<v Speaker 2>I did mean to cut you off.
<v Speaker 1>Oh no, you're right. Actually, yeah, you're right. We can't
<v Speaker 1>start the you're right.
<v Speaker 2>Wait wait wait now we can't.
<v Speaker 3>Oh wait what he didn't that's the other one.
<v Speaker 2>What oh that what we've been playing.
<v Speaker 1>We didn't we didn't really do that.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah in the bonus anyway, So this week since
<v Speaker 3>it worked out perfectly because you were criticizing the starters. Okay,
<v Speaker 3>so and it's ten generation of Pokemon, so you're just
<v Speaker 3>gonna rank all ten generation of starters.
<v Speaker 2>Lets go, let's go like, oh like one at a time.
<v Speaker 3>No, that's forever, like the trios, just the trios. So
<v Speaker 3>here you go, brother, you got the first one.
<v Speaker 1>Can't go, brother, my guy, what do you think?
<v Speaker 3>I know this is gonna be a one? What do
<v Speaker 3>you think if you don't put it as a one
<v Speaker 3>on one?
<v Speaker 1>If I can be sorry for real, it's a one
<v Speaker 1>for two reasons obviously nostalgia. Let's not beat around the bush.
<v Speaker 1>That would win no matter what.
<v Speaker 2>Too.
<v Speaker 1>I really do feel like they nailed those starting Pokemon again.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it is just the nostalgia, but they did. And
<v Speaker 1>it was also like that was before it was their
<v Speaker 1>first one, right, so they could do a fire lizard
<v Speaker 1>that became a dragon, they could do a total that
<v Speaker 1>was water. They can't do like a grasp olba saw
<v Speaker 1>type thing that had a bulb on its back and
<v Speaker 1>it was I mean it's kind of like a flower frogistic,
<v Speaker 1>very like to the point and in a great way.
<v Speaker 1>And then they had to stop getting wacky with it,
<v Speaker 1>and now we have like, you know, like switched concepts
<v Speaker 1>like a grass owl and like weird.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, when you see him all laid out, you're gonna
<v Speaker 3>be like, Okay, this one definitely has to take number one.
<v Speaker 1>This was really just in its prime and its core,
<v Speaker 1>and it was great. The revolutions were.
<v Speaker 3>Too.
<v Speaker 1>Saying poison that was a later edition. He's just grass
<v Speaker 1>to me, he wasn't poisoned in the first game, was he?
<v Speaker 2>He was just a good question. He knew poison type moves.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think dull types were a thing until like
<v Speaker 1>Gen four or five was maybe.
<v Speaker 3>I mean I got these off of bulb of people.
<v Speaker 3>The Pokemon guy.
<v Speaker 1>I think I'm no, no, no, because there had to
<v Speaker 1>be ninety nine percent dull types want a thing, and
<v Speaker 1>I think there had.
<v Speaker 2>To be just because I'm thinking some on the Pokemon
<v Speaker 2>because you couldn't have Articuno just be a flying or
<v Speaker 2>an ice.
<v Speaker 1>Type, so I think Acuna was ust ice.
<v Speaker 2>Chack can confirm this for this. Were there dual types
<v Speaker 2>in like og Gen one because I feel like they
<v Speaker 2>want but maybe that may maybe not like that obviously,
<v Speaker 2>like not like the new.
<v Speaker 1>I don't remember ever being poisoned.
<v Speaker 3>So there was Grass, Bulbles was a dual type grass
<v Speaker 3>and Pokemon and generation on red, blue, Green, and Yello.
<v Speaker 2>Someone checked Rticuno then real quick, just just because just
<v Speaker 2>that's the only one that popped up.
<v Speaker 1>My question is, did Gen no Gen one had dual
<v Speaker 1>types like on the record or was it it was
<v Speaker 1>the record metadata in the background in the game, Oh
<v Speaker 1>it did, okay. In the game was listed as flying
<v Speaker 1>and ice most like.
<v Speaker 2>Saying the chats saying no they were not. So there
<v Speaker 2>was only there's only just one.
<v Speaker 1>The only Pokemon indult types were not a thing in
<v Speaker 1>Gen one, and Yetuno.
<v Speaker 3>Was just ice no way, you know, I'm getting mixed
<v Speaker 3>information here, so.
<v Speaker 1>That they had to start getting wacky with it as
<v Speaker 1>as it went on, because they had to like find
<v Speaker 1>ways to spice it up, right, And then Bubbles became
<v Speaker 1>dual type later he was not poison in Gen one.
<v Speaker 1>He might have had poison moves, but he was not
<v Speaker 1>listed as poisoned.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, maybe it's just the move, so I'm probably
<v Speaker 2>thinking of wow, okay.
<v Speaker 1>To tell you, I feel like I'm the Pokemon.
<v Speaker 2>You're well, you're the Pokemon because you're talking about gen
<v Speaker 2>I'm just older. Yeah, that's that's extremely true.
<v Speaker 1>Older and wiser and more handsome, and uh sure, I'll
<v Speaker 1>go the better person, the better person. I'm kidding, kid, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm I guarantee you know way more about me than
<v Speaker 1>the later stuff for sure. But like in general, I
<v Speaker 1>promise you, especially later stuff, I fell off big time.
<v Speaker 2>Later stuff, I'll catch you up on.
<v Speaker 1>Sorry. Okay, this is tough too, because I feel like
<v Speaker 1>my nostalgia is just gonna put it in order. This
<v Speaker 1>is the next one, right, So they're going in chronolog
<v Speaker 1>CHRONOLOGICALORDA helps me with this blind ranking. Well it's not blind,
<v Speaker 1>it's just okay. The the thing, the thing where I'm
<v Speaker 1>getting tripped up here is I can't remember all of
<v Speaker 1>them off the top of my head. So at some
<v Speaker 1>point I'm gonna get to one. I'm gonna be like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>that one's actually pretty good. But I will say that
<v Speaker 1>this lineup to me at the time as a kid,
<v Speaker 1>felt iconically like a perfect follow up lineup. There was
<v Speaker 1>something about it. Each one had that same pizaz, but
<v Speaker 1>it felt like an evolution like it. Even the art
<v Speaker 1>style felt like it gotten a bit cleaner, a bit
<v Speaker 1>more like nineties Like there was like the Tota diale
<v Speaker 1>is so cute, the chicker reader is like surrounded and
<v Speaker 1>like simplified. It really did feel like what were these games?
<v Speaker 1>Gold and Silver? Yes, it really did feel like a
<v Speaker 1>perfect fit for the game. I'm gonna go to I know,
<v Speaker 1>it's just I'm gonna be so basic. B I t
<v Speaker 1>h about this. I really am. No.
<v Speaker 3>This is the way to do it, honestly, I see.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, all right, real quick. People are saying that there
<v Speaker 2>are dual types in general one it's just that they
<v Speaker 2>were so infrequent because charlesar was fireflying?
<v Speaker 1>Was was he listed as fire flying?
<v Speaker 2>As fireflying? And article it was the only ice type
<v Speaker 2>in the game at that point, so arc was ice flying.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, so then I was wrong there, All right,
<v Speaker 1>there we go. One thing I will I will stand
<v Speaker 1>on is that Bubble Soul was not poison, thank you?
<v Speaker 1>Oh wait, so there was, but he wasn't, but he
<v Speaker 1>did he become poison. Was Ivy Sol listed as grass poison?
<v Speaker 3>I guess I should know. He's literally named red.
<v Speaker 2>There should be dual types. Yeah, yeah, there dual types
<v Speaker 2>of list them in the Hall of Fame for each Yes, okay, yes,
<v Speaker 2>there we go. There are fire out, fired out, Let's see.
<v Speaker 3>Let's see.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna google it.
<v Speaker 3>I googled it. It's gonna say that are dual types
<v Speaker 3>in Generation one listed as So I mean we're getting
<v Speaker 3>conflicted information here, just saying one thing, saying one thing.
<v Speaker 2>Someone said the best way the finals just fire up
<v Speaker 2>the game right now. Who I don't have my switch.
<v Speaker 2>I should have brought my switch. Oh sorry, Oh you're right,
<v Speaker 2>You're right.
<v Speaker 1>My bad. We need a g Yeah, I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>mean Google AI says there was there was over sixty
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon in Gen one that had two types. Okay, so yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 1>I I I would have gone to war on it.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't remember there being dual types.
<v Speaker 3>He was poisoned from stage one, so you know, we
<v Speaker 3>got a debate here in the comments.
<v Speaker 1>But that's isn't that weird? Like jen one first time
<v Speaker 1>and you have water fire and then grass poison.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but obviously, if marketed, it wasn't necessarily supposed.
<v Speaker 3>To be playing.
<v Speaker 1>We need we need to get off this. You were
<v Speaker 1>going he going you were right. Good, I was right.
<v Speaker 2>I'll take the win.
<v Speaker 1>You're more handsome, You're wise beyond you, you're the better man,
<v Speaker 1>You're the best hand I wish I could be like you.
<v Speaker 1>You would could be more like me.
<v Speaker 2>That means a lot.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Keep Frank, let's keep going.
<v Speaker 1>Three three, Yeah, we're just going down the list. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what else to do about it at
<v Speaker 1>this point. I gotta I gotta be honest. Wait, wait,
<v Speaker 1>can I change it? Yes, I don't like it that much. Torchi,
<v Speaker 1>I love Chick, I don't like I don't like him.
<v Speaker 1>And Mudkip is cute, but I but I would never
<v Speaker 1>pick him. I'm gonna go I'm gonna be I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>be wacky here. I'm gonna go five because I do
<v Speaker 1>actually think there are some things coming up I like
<v Speaker 1>more than those interesting. They are really they are really
<v Speaker 1>good though.
<v Speaker 3>Next that we got no, no, I don't like those.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. No, I don't like the little stupid
<v Speaker 1>sprague on the turtle's head. No, I don't like that.
<v Speaker 1>It's another was the go Jim shot was pretty good, and.
<v Speaker 2>It's another Monkey. That was the first fire Monkey game. No,
<v Speaker 2>it wasn't fire monkey.
<v Speaker 1>Hold on, guy, it's just so many. Oh that one's
<v Speaker 1>even worse. Nine nine pretty bad. I don't like that
<v Speaker 1>thing at all. At it doesn't look like a Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>The pig is really cold. I don't like how uppity
<v Speaker 1>the grass one.
<v Speaker 2>Oh no, but it has the Iceland thing.
<v Speaker 1>I know. I hate it, like the gut go. I
<v Speaker 1>actually I actually think pip up should go up. But
<v Speaker 1>it's fine. It's fine where it is, unless you want
<v Speaker 1>to put it up.
<v Speaker 3>So you want you want me to put seven? You
<v Speaker 3>want to put? Okay, I got you.
<v Speaker 1>If you may, if you must, and you must, you
<v Speaker 1>must move.
<v Speaker 3>I mean this is your this is your tier list, brother, Okay, next,
<v Speaker 3>you got Collos region. This is where I full off.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, yea something I don't like it. It's oh, chest
<v Speaker 1>Pin is cute.
<v Speaker 2>Chest pins prop People are claiming that chest Pain is
<v Speaker 2>like the worst starter out of everyone. Really every generation
<v Speaker 2>chessman is like the most.
<v Speaker 1>I hate the frog. If it makes you feel any better,
<v Speaker 1>it's cute.
<v Speaker 3>Six So Finikin and Mudkip were like frog brothers. Huh
<v Speaker 3>from just different lands?
<v Speaker 2>Is not a frog?
<v Speaker 3>So mud keep don please? What what is that? You
<v Speaker 3>don't know?
<v Speaker 1>What an ax lottle is. Look a ax level is adorable.
<v Speaker 1>Look No, it's like a it's that fish with legs.
<v Speaker 3>Guys, I'm so stupid.
<v Speaker 1>No, no, no, it's like the it's like the best
<v Speaker 1>little guy. Whoa wait, show my screen for a second.
<v Speaker 1>If you can axe lottle. Look at this little guy.
<v Speaker 1>He makes such a good pet too. It's like such
<v Speaker 1>a good pretty much.
<v Speaker 2>That's what it was.
<v Speaker 1>I love a lotts. Where can I get one of
<v Speaker 1>these creatures like a pet stall? You can. You can
<v Speaker 1>own them, you can get them. Do they live along that?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't know whither, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how long do fish live fisher? Probably? All right, you
<v Speaker 1>can go back. I just wanted to show the little guy.
<v Speaker 1>All right.
<v Speaker 3>Now we got the alola. A lola region looks like
<v Speaker 3>the chick except it's like except as a chick.
<v Speaker 1>Versus this is now, Yeah, this is I like litten.
<v Speaker 2>Fire cat guy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know, but I don't like what it turns into.
<v Speaker 3>I like it.
<v Speaker 1>The clowning is horrible. That that makes it at eight.
<v Speaker 1>The clown thing ruins the whole thing. I like the
<v Speaker 1>cat though. The cat's cute. This is that's the only
<v Speaker 1>other dual type we've had so far, the grass flying.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I'm so thrown by that grass poison. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I actually like these really, Yeah. Score Bunny always gave
<v Speaker 1>me like Looney Tunes vibes, which I always thought that
<v Speaker 1>was like, it didn't really graphically for me. But Grooky
<v Speaker 1>I thought was adorable, and it was just nice to
<v Speaker 1>get another monkey, got a leaf monkey, and then Sobble
<v Speaker 1>I also thought was cute that that's the thing that
<v Speaker 1>turns into the Itellian. Yes, you know, I hate that
<v Speaker 1>it really got ruined. But I actually I actually picked
<v Speaker 1>Sobble that time around. Really okay. Yeah, And I remember
<v Speaker 1>going in blind and I didn't know what they evolved into,
<v Speaker 1>and I got really disappointed. That's a fourth. I actually
<v Speaker 1>like the monkey.
<v Speaker 2>So then, oh okay.
<v Speaker 1>Also, the monkey's evolution is probably the best one in
<v Speaker 1>that the big drum Doe. So you gave you gave
<v Speaker 1>Sino seven because of piplup? What about a little cutie
<v Speaker 1>chimp char I don't like monkeys, you guys, just like
<v Speaker 1>the grass different. He's a good monk.
<v Speaker 3>Have you seen the monkey going viral on Twitter?
<v Speaker 1>Punch?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, he's so cute.
<v Speaker 1>He is that's chimp char why it did? What happened
<v Speaker 1>with that month? It was? It wasn't he he.
<v Speaker 3>Got his mom abandoned him from birth, so they got
<v Speaker 3>him a chimpanzee monkey, and then he became attached to it.
<v Speaker 2>And then the other monkeys were kind of bullying, and
<v Speaker 2>then the other.
<v Speaker 3>Monkeys like a he blew up in Japan.
<v Speaker 1>This is like a hip host situation, dang situation. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you can show my screen. Oh he's very cute.
<v Speaker 3>The cutest thing in the world. I remember showing. She
<v Speaker 3>was sobbing when she saw the He.
<v Speaker 1>Is very cute. I like him a lot. Actually, all right,
<v Speaker 1>but the monkey show me what's next first? Oh mmm,
<v Speaker 1>oh and for Coco, Yeah, yeah, that's a three. That's
<v Speaker 1>solid freak. Cocoa is the goat that I like Sprigado
<v Speaker 1>a lot. I don't like that it stands up. They
<v Speaker 1>ruin everything. The duck sucks, the duck looks the doct
<v Speaker 1>at Donald Donald duck looks like and then yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>don't like that dog that dock gives. But the other
<v Speaker 1>two are peak. I think they really came back around
<v Speaker 1>on that one. For me, I like that's a three.
<v Speaker 1>I like I do like that one. Actually, if the
<v Speaker 1>duck had been better, that would have been an all star.
<v Speaker 1>That could have been too, if the duck had been better. Honestly,
<v Speaker 1>all right, if I could take.
<v Speaker 3>So you you have the choice not to move anything.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine putting Mudkip in the duck spot. So you have
<v Speaker 1>Sprigato Boy, Coco and Mudkip as a lineup. That's a
<v Speaker 1>great lineup.
<v Speaker 3>All right, So you want me to move Mudkip up?
<v Speaker 1>No?
<v Speaker 2>No, no, I'm saying, like if you Mudkip like specifically, oh
<v Speaker 2>I see yeah, And.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to replace or even a Tota dial because
<v Speaker 1>for a Coco and Tota dial look great together.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, but they're like the same. It's like species almost.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, so that I think that's the whole game.
<v Speaker 1>They just give me. Maybe that's why I like fory
<v Speaker 1>Coco is he gives me Tota dial vibes could be
<v Speaker 1>that I I mean, it's hard to say with these ones.
<v Speaker 1>I like that dog a lot. It's not ten.
<v Speaker 2>Don't put Gen five in Gen.
<v Speaker 3>I honestly looking at Gen ten now, I they kind
<v Speaker 3>of grew on me. I mean.
<v Speaker 2>That one's you know what it is, It's like after
<v Speaker 2>you see these for the first time, like you don't
<v Speaker 2>register them as like, oh yeah, these are actually the
<v Speaker 2>new stars. It's when you put them with all the
<v Speaker 2>other ones you're like, oh yeah, these are like.
<v Speaker 1>When you see they really have gone for a nuanced
<v Speaker 1>diyle here, I feel like because that brout its eyes, yes,
<v Speaker 1>I mean I would need to compare it to more Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>But they're not like completely closed. The bottom is left open,
<v Speaker 1>which is a very like artistic ute sy choice that
<v Speaker 1>you usually don't see in Pokemon. Usually they do solid
<v Speaker 1>like circles, so that's very unique. The dog with its
<v Speaker 1>tiny little face. That's also like they're saying little as
<v Speaker 1>pet chop for these and like you can really see that.
<v Speaker 1>That feels like a different art style almost. And then
<v Speaker 1>like that lizard is just it's so different. It's not
<v Speaker 1>like the other two at all. It's such a different
<v Speaker 1>art style, the lizard. The What I think I'm realizing
<v Speaker 1>is I hate the water Pokemon almost always because that
<v Speaker 1>is ruining it for me. Interesting except yeah, except for
<v Speaker 1>the first two. If I had to put that anywhere,
<v Speaker 1>Unibus was amazing. I loved Snivey, Tepig and Ashawa.
<v Speaker 2>Now then again, I'm looking at this also through the
<v Speaker 2>eyes of like I already know about the middle and
<v Speaker 2>the final evolutions, so that I'm if we're doing this
<v Speaker 2>purely based off of starters, then I can kind of
<v Speaker 2>understand what you're reasoning.
<v Speaker 1>Is then what's wild? Now that I'm seeing them all together,
<v Speaker 1>I really like those first two. I'm not coming around
<v Speaker 1>on the get I'm coming around on the Gecko. Even
<v Speaker 1>I told you we should wait, we gotta wait is
<v Speaker 1>like unique. It doesn't look anything like the other ones
<v Speaker 1>and arts to other than the slanty eyes that I didn't.
<v Speaker 3>Like the slanty eyes from.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to make you move everything down, but
<v Speaker 1>I'm honestly putting that at four right now. This, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I actually really like it.
<v Speaker 3>Oh my gosh, you could feel free to move anything
<v Speaker 3>around to that just hurts. The hurts for sure.
<v Speaker 1>I don't feel confident and it don't you know, I
<v Speaker 1>don't have strong like, I don't like. I don't like
<v Speaker 1>what I've done. I need you to know. It's hard
<v Speaker 1>for me because I get mad by like a Pokemon
<v Speaker 1>design and then I put it low. But like the
<v Speaker 1>other two are probably fine.
<v Speaker 3>Wait, so you wanted this at five or four? Four?
<v Speaker 1>Wow? Yeah, I actually do like it a lot. And
<v Speaker 1>I and you know what, I'm just in a good
<v Speaker 1>mood with Gen ten. I'm just happy.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm excited.
<v Speaker 1>Too. But what's your problem? What do you hate?
<v Speaker 2>That's okay, So it's the like I said, it's the
<v Speaker 2>fact that I know what these turn into.
<v Speaker 1>Well okay, but I'm not idea what half of them turning.
<v Speaker 2>We're not doing from like just like a purely like
<v Speaker 2>their basic started.
<v Speaker 1>Tomtter, it's what you picked up the stop.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, like this is if they were all presented, would you.
<v Speaker 2>I just think I would. Honestly, this is me. I
<v Speaker 2>would probably swap five and ten.
<v Speaker 1>It's just me as.
<v Speaker 2>Much because I like Rookie. I liked Rooky, I liked
<v Speaker 2>Rider Boom as its final evolution. But like, I just think, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Universe Legends, Univa has such great Pokemon.
<v Speaker 1>That was just a good time in my life.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like I said, I'm still thinking finals, but like
<v Speaker 2>even that, like Tepics, a cute Pokemon, Like I'd rather
<v Speaker 2>take a Tepic over a score Bunny. That's just that's
<v Speaker 2>just me. I would swap five and ten.
<v Speaker 1>Well, Tech, Well, here's the thing. Teppig turns into something horrendous,
<v Speaker 1>whereas Bunny, all right, what typic isn't big the big,
<v Speaker 1>the big, big big.
<v Speaker 3>Like the Pokemon again.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah that's a good one. I hate that Pokemon.
<v Speaker 3>I hate it.
<v Speaker 2>It stands up for one. So I'm already out. Well yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I hate you know what. Yeah, there's there's something to
<v Speaker 2>you said about like Pokemon. I go from four legs two,
<v Speaker 2>so I kind of get that, but like I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>All right, I'm done, all right, solid game. I'm also
<v Speaker 2>really overheated. Yeah, I tried my best here, but.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, turn it off.
<v Speaker 2>It's off now because it keeps giving me that error thing.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm just gonna I'll try it after the episode.
<v Speaker 1>Now it's it said eighty there for a second, it
<v Speaker 1>feels like.
<v Speaker 2>He's say eighty right now. Now it goes back to
<v Speaker 2>e seven.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, let me all.

<v Speaker 1>Well, it says twenty twenty sevens anytime, it's pretty I
<v Speaker 1>feel like if it was early, Oh they knew it
<v Speaker 1>was going to be early, they might have said early
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty seven, So we could honestly be looking at midyear. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't be something. I wouldn't put it out of
<v Speaker 1>the question.
<v Speaker 3>I would hope. So I do not want to wait.
<v Speaker 1>They've already broken the chain by doing it, even if
<v Speaker 1>it's January. It's broken the chain, yeah, yes, so right,

<v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay, just that long.
<v Speaker 1>And when it's ready, when it's readady, I'm in no
<v Speaker 1>rush to play another bad Pokemon game.
<v Speaker 2>Oh okay, yeah, it means it'll be a good Pokemon
<v Speaker 2>That's what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, is that everything I think? Did you think
