They sure are awesome. Thanks guys.
Speaking of things that are awesome, we just got done
rewatching work o day, What oh what, Henry? Could you
tell us what was going on at the beginning of
this episode.
At the beginning of the episode, we can see Bluey
and Bingo sitting outside of a room. Bingo is sitting
like a frog. But then anyways, Louie knocks on the door,
which Bannett opens in and says, hey, what do you
guys want, and Bingo tells him that they're both there
for the job interview. Bandit told him that it was
a dancing work, but Bluie stopped him and told him
that nope, you guys make drain pipes. Bandit begged her
for to be a dancing work, but she told him no,
and Bandit said, welp, you're the boss and Blue said no,
you're the boss, and then the interview started right away.
It seems like Blue is pretty bossy, but somehow she's
claiming she's not the boss. I have an idea where
this might be going. Stella the interview starts, and in
the most honest of fashions, Bluie answers Bandit's very first question,
are you a hard worker? What does she tell him?
She says that she is not a hard worker, like,
not at all.
That's pretty honest. I would say, if you were interviewing
somebody and they told you they weren't a hard worker,
would you hire them?
No?
Yeah, probably not. What's going on with Bingo?
Bingo answers the question just by saying Ribbett, bandit is confusing.
He says what because he doesn't understand what she's saying,
And Louie tells him that Bingo is a.
Fraud and what was his decision on hiring him?
He decided to hire both of them.
You can start run away?
What thank you?
I'm sure I won't regret this.
We cut to them working hard at their work table, Amanda,
what's happening over there?
Blue is working on making her drain pipe and Bingo's
working on making hers too, But Bingo has a different
approach to making her drain pipe. It looks like she's
sitting over there just licking and licking and drooling on
a round piece of cardboard, like from a toilet paper
roll or a paper towel, and yeah, she's just kind
of drooling on it. Bandit comes over to inspect the
work and Blue did a great job. So he gave
her some dollar bucks and he inspected Bingo's work and said, uh, okay,
here's a dollar buck. She didn't quite get paid as much,
I don't think as Blue did. And then he gets
a phone call and we see him answer it on
a banana.
Yep, the banana phone rings. As soon as he gets
on the phone, he walks out to take it. What
happens immediately Henry.
Louie gets up from the work table and immediately starts
relaxing on the couch. And she's saying, oh, this is
so relaxing, which Bingo tells her ribbit, which I think
that was supposed to mean you should be working instead
of relaxing.
We have no idea though, Oh this.
Is a lie.
I'm back High was slacking off at work.
I should this fun, Henry. If you were in charge
and you had a brand new person working for you
and it was their very first day and they were
already slacking off, what would you do.
Well?
I wouldn't be happy about that. I would be mad
at them, and then either I would make them go
home for the day without any pay or just making
work extra hours.
Well, you're nicer than I would be. I think. Another
phone call comes in, and this time things go a
little bit crazier. Stella what goes on?
Louis gets up and decides that she is the boss now,
so she sits in the boss's chair and tells Bingo
to get all the papers off the desk, throw them
on the floor, dance around on them, and then she
also tells her to play a drain pipe like it's
a horn.
I found that interesting that she told Bingo to jump
on the papers and it definitely looked like dancing. But
she said there was no dancing allowed at this work.
But apparently when she's the boss, you can dance as
long as it's destructive and annoying.
Yeah, I guess.
Bandit walks in and finds out what has happened?
What's going on? Why is that girl jumping on my work?
What are you doing in.
My I'm the boss now? What says?
Who?
Oh?
This all looks in order.
Then that gag of blue Hannon in the paper that
just had random scribbles in him acting like it was
actually a legally binding document. I thought that was so good.
I like how he went right along with it.
Yeah, he was being a pretty good sport, even though
all of these things lead to him being humiliated and
taken advantage of Amanda. Now that Blue is the boss,
what happens to band It?
Well, now Bandit works for her, So the first thing
she tells Bandit to do as her employee is to
be her chair, because she decides that the desk chair
that she already has isn't comfortable enough, so Bandit has
to get down on all fours and Blue is sitting
on him like he's her chair. He tells her you
don't treat employees like this, and she says immediately, chairs
don't talk.
Henry, what was Bingo doing at this point?
Bingo was drawing a picture of Blue sitting on Bandit,
and you could see Bingo adding a frownie face to Bandit.
Yeah, it was like their official portrait. She had it
on an easel and everything. Now Blue is going to
make Bandit do something else to pay for his insolence.
I guess, Henry, what happens to bandit?
Bandit has to clean the windows with his butt, and
then whenever he's done with that, he has to mop
the floor with his tongue.
Gross. Uh, that's so nasty.
I would quit my job right away.
Yeah, that would be the end. When he was cleaning
the window with his behind. Who saw him out there, Henry?
Their neighbor, Wendy saw him.
I don't think she cares much for some of their
shenanigans when it's like this, and she seems a bit offended,
which I bet honestly was a win for Bandit, So
I think he likes antagonizing her. Frog Bingo comes over
and wants to comfort Bandit Stella. What happens?
She comes over to him and she starts dancing, and
he is telling her that she can't dance because if
the boss sees it then she will be really mad.
So he tries to grab onto her hand to make
her stop. Whenever he's grabbing to her hands, it kind
of looks like he's dancing too, So then Bluey comes
over and yells at him for dancing.
He didn't want Frog Bingo to get in trouble, so
he took all the blame and blue fires them immediately.
Get out of dot come back.
What you mean you're firing me?
Please?
This job is my whole life.
Good that.
Blue throws him out and he goes out the front
door with a box full of his possession. Blue shuts
the door behind him, and she seems pretty proud of herself.
I love what.
Geez, what a meanie, Amanda. What happens next?
Bandit takes his things out to the end of the
sidewalk and sets up and he is selling drain pipes
on the sidewalk. A customer walks by and he asks
if she wants to buy a drain pipe, and she
just says no and takes off.
Who was the customer?
It was Wendy. He's looking pretty sad sitting out there
on the sidewalk, and just when you think that things
can't get any worse for him, it starts to rain.
No peanuts.
Why bad things happening to me? I thought I was
a good dog.
Man. Hearing him say that really struck a chord with me.
I felt so bad.
Yeah, you definitely feel really sad for him, poor guy.
Inside we see Chili and she is humming something. Henry,
what is it?
She was humming the Bluey theme song.
I like to think that she was humming the version
that is the intro to our podcast, but she was
probably humming the version that is the intro to the
television show. I just liked to dream big. You know,
here comes Frog Bingo, Henry, what happens next?
Frog Bingo goes up to Chili and tells her something,
And then the next thing we know, Frog Bingo's outside
and goes up to Bandit, and Bandit asks, hey, you
want to buy a drain pipe little froggy, and frog
Bingo shakes her head no, And Bandit asked, how am
I supposed to earn all my money back? And Frog
Bingo mime's dancing, and Big gives Banded idea.
Oh, dancing.
Well, I did always love dancing. Let's see if I've
still got it.
When Bandit starts dancing, I love how the rain stops
and everything is different colors, Like the entire screen is
one color, and then it goes to the next thing
and it's another color, and everything's sparkling and shining. Stella.
When Blui sees him, what does she say?
She says, Hey, that guy's a pretty good dancer.
Yeah, after all that stuff, she's impressed with his dancing.
Isn't she Yeah, she is.
What happens next.
A famous ballerina named Pavlova comes up to him and
tells him that her partner that she was supposed to
dance with that the Grand Theater that night has sprained
his ankle and that he's very weak and that she
needs Bandit to be her dance partner instead.
Yeah, Chili is a Russian ballerina now famous one. I
love that she picked Pavlova as the name.
Yeah, that was fun.
Bandit figures that this was Frog Bengo's plan the whole time,
and Frog Bingo seems to agree that, yes, indeed, that
was it, and we cut to them dancing out back. Amanda,
what was the scene? Like?
Chili was dressed in a tutu and was wearing a tiara,
and there were lights shining up the stage, and their
audience was on the back steps, and it consisted of
Bluey and Bingo and a bunch of their stuffies all
watching them dance.
Did you notice anything about Bandit?
Bandit was wearing tights.
So do you think that he was actually a trained
dancer this whole time? I think so, Yeah, because he
always loved dancing and I guess maybe that was his
hobby or his passion, and he used archaeology as a fallback.
Maybe maybe so blue was.
Blown away and she seemed pretty proud to know bandit.
I just to work with that guy.
And that was the episode, Henry, Did we miss anything? Nope?
I don't think so.
Well, you know what it's time for.
Did we learn anything today?
Could anyone tell us what did you learn today?
I think what I learned is you should follow your
heart and follow your true passion, which in this case
was bandits dancing.
Okay, yeah, I think I agree with you mom on
this one.
I think that's a very good lesson.
I agree with mom too.
That is a good lesson to learn in this episode.
I think another lesson is that anything is possible if
you don't work hard. Look how far Blueie went. She
went from saying she was not a hard worker to
bec I'm being the boss all in the span of
about an hour, and that is impressive. I mean, my goodness,
what a promotion.
That was too bad. It didn't work like that in
real life though.
Right, Maybe all the hard work I've done was my undoing.
Oh well, what are you going to do? I guess
Another lesson you could learn is that you never know
who's going to end up famous when you work with them,
so always be nice to them just in case later
they're a huge deal.
I agree, getting to know the people you work with
can always help you in the long run, to know
who they are and what special gifts they have. Maybe,
but I don't think I've ever worked with anybody that
became famous for a special talent that they had.
I've played in bands with people who have gone on
to be pretty successful, but I don't think I've ever
worked like a job job where it turns out somebody
ended up becoming the governor.
Or yeahthing like that.
Yeah, what about you, guys, have you ever worked with
anybody who became famous later?
Well, I don't really have a job, so I don't.
I don't really have a job.
That seems about right, Does anybody have any parting thoughts
about the episode.
Remind me to never work for Blue because I think
she might not be the best boss.
She seems pretty mean.
Man, the way how Blue just went from working as
employee to the boss. I think I'll be able to
get a really good job.
Then, Yeah, are you gonna tell people that now? You're
not a hard worker, and see what happens.
Yep, just exactly like that.
Well, don't put me down as a reference then, if
that's what you're gonna tell them.
I think it's kind of funny how Bingo chose to
be a frog for the game, Like I don't I
wonder what made her want to be a frog.
Yeah, she didn't say anything the whole episode except ribet.
Yeah, her commitment to the It was definitely commendable that
she just stayed a frog the whole time, even when
she was being serious. And I'm not sure about the
licking the drain pipe. I would think that'd be pretty gross.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be the one to have
to clean that up later.
I thought this was a lot of fun. I think
it's cute. I remember being a kid and wanting to
play work, and then you get older and you have
a job and you want to play, not go to
work exactly. I like seeing Bandit and his dream of
being a dancer, because, like I said, you gotta wonder
if that was really a passion of his. You see
the one scene where he says, oh, I've always wanted
in the camera starts to draw back in blues like nope,
and it snaps back to reality when he was getting
ready to talk about how he always dreamt of a
job that had to do with dancing. But then I
think about how bad you feel for him when he's
out there in the and he said that thing about
I thought I was a good dog man. That really
hit me for some reason.
Yeah, me too. He felt so bad for him.
This is such a good show. Oh my gosh. Well, guys,
we think Bluuie is awesome. And speaking of things that
we think are awesome, Henry, what should we do next?
The howl out?
Okay, listen up, everyone else to clap and go whoa yet?
All right, that's awesome, got it.
Right.
We have the best fans ever and we are so
thankful for you, guys. With all of the comments and
reviews and voice messages and emails. We can't possibly thank
you enough, and we read all of them.
We sure do. You guys are just the best.
Let's take a look at the comments on Spotify. We
heard from Otter and Daisy, our buddy Alex, who told
us a lot of things about the previous episode that
were really interesting. You guys got to go check out
those comments on Spotify.
Absolutely.
We heard from a different Alex Hey, different alex Era,
Kimberly Tala, Jaden, Ivy, Crystal VV, Disco Cat, Piper Hope,
and we heard from Thomas and Ella and their favorites
are Henry and Stella, respectively.
Thank you, guys.
We got some emails. We got a voice message from Oscar.
Hi, General Hills, this is your friend Australian and Oscar
speaking again. Thank you for the halletts. Oh yeah, I
also have a joke. What do you call a dog
that does karate? Spaniel? LaRusso? Did you get it? No,
it wasn't very funny, but thank you to anyway. Bye.
I thought it was amazing. I love the Karate kid
and I totally got it.
I got it too. Thanks Oscar for sending us the joke.
Yeah, Oscar, that was awesome. Thank you. We got a
voice message from Amelia.
Hi, Dinner with the Healers.
My name is Amelia and I'm a really big fan
of the show. I listen to some of your podcasts
every evening. I don't know which episode's my favorite. Eric, Amanda, Stellan, Henry.
You guys are awesome.
Bye Ah, thank you so much for saying that. Amelia,
thanks for your message. Glad you loved the show.
Thank you, Amelia, Amelia.
You're awesome too. Thank you so much for that. We
got an email from George, who I suspect is related
to our friend Ozzy Oscar, who was asking about the
guitar accords to the Bluey theme. It's kind of tricky.
I have to sit down and look at how I
played that on guitar when I recorded that theme. The
problem is is it was over three years ago and
I haven't played it since, so I would have to
sit down and sort of figure it out again. But
if I can figure it out, maybe I should make
a little video of me playing it to show people
how it goes.
That would be cool. I bet a lot of people
would like seeing that.
We got an email from Noah who was asking what
we plan to do when the Bluey movie comes out
as far as the podcast goes, and I think what
we'll probably do is go see the movie and then
have a spoiler free immediate reaction. What do you guys
think about that?
Yeah? I think that would work absolutely.
Because I know not everybody can just rush out and
see the movie, so I don't want to be like
and then this happened, and this happened, and this happened,
and this happened. If they haven't had a chance to
see it.
Yeah, we don't want to spoil it for anybody, but.
I think that's what we'll do. We have plenty of
time to figure that out though, because it is not
coming out until next year, but that will get here
before we know it.
Yeah, sure will.
Thank you for your email, Noah. We also got a
voice message from our friend Brendan.
Greetings dinner with the Healers. This is your friend Brendan
speaking to you once again. So I have another Bluey
moment to share with you from the Blue episode mom School.
Hi, sweetheart, I think there's a reason you keep slighting off.
Isit there? Hmm?
What could it be? Maybe just not exploring? Ah that's nice, Creamy.
Well yeah, old enough to go exploring too far yet.
So this is a special present for you because I
love you so much. One day you can float up
Hi she wants, but for now, this will help you
stay down here with us.
Ah, Blue, I love you too, And you know something else,
You are such a sweetheart. You are very much a sweetheart.
All right. I will talk to you again soon. Talk
you then, Bye.
Bye, Brendan. It's always so good to hear from you.
Thank you for sending us this clip. Blue really is
a sweetheart. I have to agree with you on that
she was doing what she could to try to take
care of her balloon and not let it float off.
She cared for it that much. It was very sweet. Indeed.
I like that she was faced with a dilemma that
parents are in real life, faced with that your kid
is trying to find their way and have freedoms and
stuff like that. But it's your job to protect them.
And someday they can get big and go and explore
further and further, but right now, it's your job to
keep them close and keep them safe. And I don't
want to get all emotional thinking about it, but you
know where I'm coming from. It's just a cute way
to address it. Absolutely, being a parent is the best,
but it's also pretty tricky at times because boy, you
guys have grown up so fast and so much.
Yeah, we definitely have grown thanks to you guys.
Guys. I know that this is an audio podcast and
you can't see it, but Stella just held up a
sign that said, you guys are the best parents in
the world. I don't know why you didn't just say
it out loud. Oh my gosh, Stella another sign, Dad,
You're the coolest dad.
Where am I getting these signs?
Oh?
How did you have time to work on it?
I love the glitter you added to them.
Oh yeah, that's really sweet. Oh well, guys, thank you
so much for all of the kind comments, messages and reviews.
We can't thank you enough. We do the show because
of you, guys, the fans, and we love hearing from you.
Sure do you, guys. Thank you so much for all
your support.
Well, guys, until next time, we are out of here.
Bye guys, Bye bye.
Once again,
