Welcome to the Nontendo podcast. My name is Wood and today I'm sat with Liz. The last How's a Guy didn't even give you a chance to talk before he cut the intro. Yeah, you said, shut up, Jesus, and I'm also not going to give you a chance to talk. That's horrible, that's all. I don't even like the joke I just made it. Gets a woman on, I'll tell me to get back in the kitchen. No, no, my god, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Oh my god. I'm so excited to finally have a woman on the show. And he tells you to shut up. Yeah, you've got Christa. And then we're joined here too with Kim too. That's true. Wow, man, look at the law you know about the show. I know so much about this show. I'm a very big fan. And yes, of course we had Christa on. I want to talk about all of that, but first we do have an obligation. And before we cut to that obligation, I just want to let everybody know that we're selling mugs again. You can get these mugs and I also have a shaker cup. And now the other thing. The mugs are very nice. They are etched Ooh yeah, listen, listen this time e. This episode of the Nontendo podcast is brought to you by surf Shark VPN. And for video watchers, you might notice that, Yeah, I'm sat in my house right now. I had to shoot this ahead of time. Surf Shark is a virtual private network because why wouldn't you want your own private network? Think about it. It's like catching an economy flight with loads of other people on the plane that can see you, or traveling in a private jet. You know, usually those are very expensive, those types of experiences, but this is extremely affordable. In fact, if you use code Nintendo, you'll get three months free of surf Shark VPN. Or click the link down below. I'll give you more reasons to do that though. So a VPN will mask everything that you do online, keeping you safe in private, covering up what you do, encrypting your data and your information, for example, while shopping online. It'll protect you when you use your credit cards or any kind of payment information so that no one can steal that and then spend your money. But there are fun things that you can do with the VPN too. I think probably the best use case for me anyway is to change my region so that when I load up Netflix or other streaming apps, I get access to that region's content. Obviously, I'm Australian and a lot of Australian shows you can't watch outside of Australia. There are so many other benefits, like getting better deals while shopping, safety on public Wi Fi, region blocked videos or websites, no risk and trying. Because surf Shark has a thirty day money back guarantee, you can use surf Shark on all of your devices with just one account. So again, coupon code Nontendo click the link below and you'll get three months of surf Shark free. Okay, welcome bag. Yes, now we can start the show with no interruptions. I love that maybe too. How are you feeling I'm feeling great. I'm feeling you know, a little nervous, but very excited. Don't get nervous. I'm a little nervous. Actually yeah really, yeah you want to go? We could leave, just leave, No, I have Liz the Last with me today. Very excited. Your channel is a very cozy and awesome and wow, very exploding channel like your your views are crazy. Thank you considering just have a flop on inten dogs, like can we believe that that's kind of rude? Actually, that's okay. I just had a flop to on a clickbait thing that I did, So I'm right there with you. It's tough right now on YouTube because we have TikTok and everything stealing views, which you don't have to go into that, butte Yeah, YouTube, I feel like I found my home there. Like I've tried a little bit of everything, and I just prefer the longer format videos. Yeah, me too, really long format for you. We were watching one that was an hour and a half long while we were driving up here, which is kind of was perfect actually for the two hour drive that we had. Yeah, it kind of depends on what I end up playing, because I mean, like a Starty Valley video, I drop like eighty ninety one hundred hours on a playthrough, and so it's like, how do I condense that to even like two hours? That's INSANEO. And then other things that I'm doing, like I'm trying to work through all of the SIMS games on console. Yeah, weird console variations and spin offs and each of those games, you know, like I drop so many hours into it. I want to talk about the whole game, not just do like a quick let's play. So when I am trying to condense it down, like every single time, I'm like, God, this could be shorter, but I have so much to say. So yeah, and that's tough too, because you've got to try and like balance people's attention spans. I always feel like when my videos get past twenty minutes, I'm like, people even gonna want to hear my voice for that long. But the way you deliver the videos are very fun, very engaging. There's a lot of human we're in comedy, a lot of swearing. I noticed, Yeah, yeah, I have a little bit of a potty mouth. That's kind of like that. I'm like, oh, gosh, am I allowed to curse on here? You asked me before we went live. I was like, am I allowed to goes on here? Yeah? How much? Though? That's the question I told you. Bob swore like a sailor. Bob invented new swear words on the show, So I mean, try and top that. Yeah, No, I don't think I can, but I just you know, I'm a little nervous about that because I'm like, oh, I don't want to be too much. Oh, you should definitely be you. Do you want me to swear with you right now? Oh? My god? What's your Does that make you feel more comfortable? What's your cursive choice? Oh? I can't say that one. Literally, YouTube won't let me say that one. Oh is it the sea word? I'm Australia because you're Australia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll give you what you want to like, warm up, I can give you a piss shit okay, shit's good balls Okay, I feel like you're going back backwards. Oh well, how how much more forward can you get? Like? Fuck? Yeah, that's the one. I didn't want to say it. Yeah, I gave you. I gave you the I feel like a nice little frick in your videos sometimes, no, because I'm not pen you know, I don't play Fortnite yeah either, no, I uh, I just I told you. I just swear in my videos, but then I bleep it out or like I cut or whatever. Do a funny little thing, a little gag, funny little funny little guy. Because god forbid anyone hears me swear, they'll clutch their pearls. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you kind of got to like be established with that. Like I when I first started my channel, I started with animal crossing, and so that was a conundrum for me, like, am I gonna be the person that curses? Am I gonna try to censor myself to be more AD friendly? That's what I did. Yeah, Yeah, I just decided that it's not sustainable for me, especially if I was going to be live, like when I am. When I tried streaming, I was like, I can't even control it what I'm out of my house, you know, I can't control myself. I just don't really care all these swear words. I know, I just want to go off and see whatever I want. And so no, and I love that. I would prefer that too. When I love that for you, I was telling you the reason why I started doing it is because I'm older on YouTube, and YouTube started implementing all these things like hey, don't swear it or hurt you in the algorithm, And at the time, I was like, Okay, well, I'm trying to grow my channel. I'll stop swearing now. It's like second nature, like even when I'm live on Twitch. There's been occasions where I've gotten really frustrated and one's like slipped out. Yeah, but yeah, it's like a switch. Now I can just turn off, like I just don't swear in that zone. And it's almost like when I hear someone else swear around me when I'm creating content, it like it sears in my brain. Yeah, not on the part. Not on the podcast though, I'm like, that's why I want to shut up. No, no, no, not on the podcast. I grew. I grew. I guess what I would call a Bob filter, where like, yeah, swearing just kind of it's been established on the show that on this show that it can happen. Yeah, it's nice to be able to have at least one medium where you can be your authentic self. Well, and if you're cursing in real life, you know that is true. I still don't swear on this show. That s what I gave you is the first one I've ever done. Are you serious? I gave that to you to make you feel more comfortable. Yeah, Oh my goodness. I also brought Kim along today because Kim has been very excited to meet you. Al show has a microphone today that hopefully she will use. So this is how this all came about. At the start of me taking this show and starting to add guests to it. I was trying to like reaching out to people, trying to see who would be interested in coming on. And then as I locked into my YouTube analytics, I noticed that it shows you like channels that are subscribed to you and a channel called Liz the Last just subscribe to me with a lot of subscribers on their channel, And then I went to you. Oh, she was pretty cool. I went to your channel and I saw your videos were doing insanely well. The content was really fun. It's nintender and sims and very on brand, and I was like, I'll just try reaching out and see if she wants to come on, or if she accidentally subscribed, or maybe she subscribed for Bob and she also hates me. No, I actually found the show through you because I watched I think a video that you did with Kim with animal crossing. Okay, that makes a lot of sense, and that's how I found your channel, And yeah, I think it just came across the algorithm one day that you did a podcast, So I was like, let me go check that out because of you, not because of Bob. Oh my god. I love the podcast and now I do really enjoy his videos. Oh he's so welcome. Yeah, and then yeah, I reached out and you said yes instantly. And I've been so excited for this day. We've been counting it down. It's one of the only days Kim's actually come to the podcast because she was so excited to meet you. I feel blessed. I'm like really excited to talk about the kind of games that we like to play too, you know, because I do like general Nintendo and I played Nintendo Like I did a video where I played Pickman for the first time. Okay, how was that? In my mind? I love Pickman now. I really just wanted to get into it because the little guys are so cute. Would you consider Pickman a cozy game? I It's probably actually one of the most stressful games I've played in my life. Yeah, but I put a Pickman in the thumbnail today with all the cozy games as kind of like an inside joke that no one's going to get because in my Pigman review of the new one, I quoted a cozy game because did people think about that? Oh? They were like cozy game? My even even my editor like made a joke while editing it, I said cozy game, and he cuts one of the most intense bots fights in the game brackets at the bottom it said cozy game. So like, yeah, I do get that those fights get really stressful, but as far as like he's going around throwing some pickman, grabbing some little bits, and like, well, it's guilt. And I think that a lot of people can flate cute with cozy. Now I'm not really entirely sure what the definition is, because you'll have people being like anything you want to be a cozy game can be a cozy game. And it's like eld and Ring people are tagging about because you can create your character and all that, and it's like, I just what are we talking about? What are we what are we doing? Yeah, I mean I could see elden Ring being cozy if like, you know, you summer night, maybe like the sun's going down, you got yourself a little iced coffee, and you'll you'll say, like Choos the Kingdom getting ready to touch. See. I do find elements like pigment and like Zelda cozy, like the exploring the world or like the cooking and you know, meeting characters kind of like riding your horse around all that's very calming and cozy to me. But then you have fighting Gannon, and then you have I feel like you're just enjoying a game, you know what I mean, Like you're right, yeah, I mean you're not wrong. Yeah to me. Like I like to think of like the cozy genre genre as a little bit more zoned in onto like the life sims, the farming sims. Yeah, and oh, you're one hundred percent right that that is the cozy john even like uh, like a little to the left, like puzzle games, things like that. I've been playing the two games from the Indie world's Sticky Business, Sticky Business and Stitch, and I would say those are cozy games. Do you like them? Are they good? Sticky Business I thought was all right. I mean I like a lot of it, but I hate the button mapping and you can't change it and it's so interesting. And then Stitch is really cute. It's like, uh, you do little stitches and stuff, but it's all numbers and like a little puzzle. It's cute, you know that kind of stuff where almost like baby sensory shit. I don't know, Yeah, I like that. Yeah, that stuff I did. I love that game game. Was obsessed with Unpacking for a for a while. Yeah, definitely, because I love that they can tell a unique story in such a short amount of time. It's a very short game, but like you know, it's such an interesting way to tell a story through placing objects. I loved it, loved it. So speaking of like a ton of cozy games, it's funny to me, and I'll explain this in a second when I looked at when I look at you on your channel and your branding and you as a person, very sweet, very nice. I couldn't imagine anyone being mad at you ever. Oh yeah, And also like, I don't know, you're very You've been doing you channel for like three or four years, and I feel like that's not quite at the point yet where you've been possibly like soured on the internet. Yeah maybe I'm wrong, Maybe that is more than enough time. But when I sent you the show notes of what I wanted to talk about today and I was like, you can add anything you want to it, you were like we should talk about how there's too many cozy games because I said that recently and now people are mad at me. Yeah, I mean, it's just Twitter it's like Twitter, people that don't even know who I am and they come and they find my tweets. Do they even know who you are? No? I just it was so nice. You could not have a bad opinion. I know, No, I don't know. It's just like recently I tweeted about how I did not think that the new Lord of the Rings Cozy game that's coming out is cute. I looked at that for a second and went, nope, I exactly. I don't people decided for it. I think it's just people that like to argue. Like That's why I don't tweet, like whenever I tweety in so much trouble, like because people will come in and obviously disagree with me, and they'll even be so nice about it, and I'll be like, you fucking bitch. She'll come under my tweet and say something like that, and it's just like, oh god, you know, I just get so confrontational and like, I don't read my YouTube comments anymore because sometimes people will have like the most genuinely like fine criticism and I'm like, I don't want to hear it. I love that you are so open about that. That is I need more of that I really do, because I'll tweet something and people get upset at every single thing I say and I do in every opinion that I have, and it makes me feel bad. So I try and change my opinion or like think differently, or like, I'll feel bad about upsetting people and then to hear you just be like that, Yeah, exactly. No, I just think, you know, there's always going to be people like and I think people are really mean to you for whatever reason. I don't know why I think people are mean to you. Yeah, I don't. I don't know. The internet hates me now, I don't. I don't understand it, and I don't know what I do genuinely, Like, I just think that you're gonna have an opinion and you're allowed to have your opinion. So, like we're looking for a permanent co host on this show. How are you in La? Yeah, I do live across the country in Los Angeles. I'm not sure how that would work out. You're funny, you're so sweet, but yeah, no, I don't know. I just think that if you have your opinion, you're welcome to share it, and you better just be able to defend your opinion. I guess That's why I tend not to share things because I don't have that strong of opinions, like you said earlier, like, yeah, I think the cozy gaming market is saturated for sure, and there's a lot of people trying to get their Stardy Valley in. But oh, animal crossing, yeah, or animal crossing. That's see, Like people have been calling that Lord of the Rings game an animal crossing clone. I don't even know. I don't know. Tails of a Shire. Yeah, that's what it's called because it kind of looks like animal crossing, I suppose. But I'm not a fan of the art direction, and I was expecting something like a little bit more sexy and cool. Well you want to say, I was thinking like Rune Factory. You know those games are like, okay, hot anime. Did you play Faith? I did, and I one of my biggest problems was the art direction, like I don't enjoy Yeah. I said that to Kim too, because Kim and I actually got pretty addicted to it for a minute because we're playing together and that was really fun. This can't play it by myself because I felt that way the whole time. I was like, I am so bored. I'm going to finish the first Not many games that you can play like that with, like we can play together than Stado Valley. Yeah, so that was one that we really latched onto. But the whole time I was like, these characters are so ugly. These are a lot ugly. That was a okay, I made a video about my opinion of I'm just sing this now for the first time. No. I made a video about faith Farm, and again I was pretty critical, but I did say, like I got a good forty hours out of it. I you know, it's a farming game. It's not really revolutionizing anything. So if you're into the faith arm thing, that it's cool. But for me, I thought that the characters were so boring. And then I'm not a fan of how cozy games are kind of resembling mobile games to me, and I don't I can't tell if it's low effort or not. I don't know. Maybe I'm no. I think the gun too much and coming for an art direction that I just don't like. You know, No, I think you're right. I think they are trying to sort of resemble that animal crossing type graphical style, but with no experience in developing a game like it does seem like a pretty I don't know who made this, maybe we should look that up, but it seems like a pretty easy genre to jump into and start developing this like slow paced cozy. Yeah, so way to workshop. I somebody told me underneath my tweet because they were like, let me educate you. Somebody said that they actually did a lot of work on the movies and they don't really make games. Oh well, that explains why it looks like that. Then that's what I That's what I think too. But I'm like, man, Lord of the Rings has so much like cool shit to work with them already, you know, well why go this section? Did you see the last Lord of the Rings game? Though? That? No, I actually haven't played like any Lord of the Rings games, so I am also speaking out of turn a little bit. So well, there's two things here. One, I was just referring to Lord of the Rings. Gollum, Oh that game I did hear about. Yeah, yeah, it was like one of the worst games last year. Yes, I think recently Lord of the Rings has entered some kind of like I don't know what you call it, where anyone can make it. For a while, only Warner Brothers were making Lord of the Rings games. I'm pretty sure, but it entered some state where like anyone can make them. So now this person's making this thing. And then and then day Dale like or something made Gollum. So we've gone from like these really high budget awesome Lord of the Rings games like Shadow of More Door. There was one on Xbox that wore the North was sick, the original trilogy movies of Lord of the Rings, like all these really cool Lord of the Rings games, and now we I've got tails from the Shire ripoff mobile looking animal crossing style game that wetter wetter, waa wada. Maybe wait a minute, wait a minute, yea, wait a minute, don't do this come back to us. It's something a little worse. I mean, yeah, wait a minute, make it sexy maybe, I mean, maybe it'll be fun and we'll end up eating these words a little bit. Yeah, I watch it be like the most fun, oh, like the best animal crossing ever. I mean, you reviewed the Hello Kitty Island Adventure game. Loved that game. Hello Kitty also just gets chilled out to whoever can pay for her, right, And so there's not a ton of like a little wow. There's not like a ton of like amazing Hello Kitty games. There's a lot of like just random games with Hello Kitty. Right, Yeah, that game genuinely blew my mind. Yeah, and that's a mobile game. It's totally a disservice for it to be a mobile game, Like it is essentially long on the switch, at least seeing it through a video, it's essentially animal crossing to Hello Kitty Adventure boogloo, and it's like genuinely impressive, but only on the Apple Arcade right now. And I don't maybe I'm incorrect, but it needs to come on the switch, like genuinely, yeah, I thought about that. I don't know how Nintendo feels about the straight I don't want to say clone games of their games coming to the system. I mean, well, don't they let like Hentie on the shop talking about you. I think Hello Kitty can go on the shop. We were literally right before you walked in, we were talking about how there's yeah, it's gotten. I just went under new releases on the shop and I was like, it's so many animate titties. I was like, well, I didn't know I would have to switch years ago. If you have you ever made a video like that, actually like I've been, I've been thinking about games. You should make an anime titty game review. Okay, I will like these are my favorite anime. T ah, let's just do a tear list of antai games on Switch. That would be funny. Actually, yeah, I've mentioned it here on there. It's a punchline to a lot of my jokes and other videos where I'm like, at least it's not all the Hentai games that are on Switch. But no, I've never actually had. But if you actually go to Switch and type in Henty in the search option, it's like a hundred hundred games like you search for that. That's right, Yeah, that's also. Yeah. I was literally just literally means porn in Japanese. Can you look up porn on the shop? Like, will anything pop? Look up the word bring out a switch? I got to grab someone google the word porn right now? Do life do live camera? We were saying that like a lot of these games are just like AI based, they're just creating scripts and they're just adding titties on it because they're just like, well, this will sell and it's like like a dollar games yeah, free and yeah, and they're just weird. We talked about that recently. There's also a lot of them are puzzle games. They're all puzzle games. It's all puzzle games. Like there's the puzzle and it's the puzzle is like a blank like almost no color on it, and it's on top of an anime girl and you see her face and then her like legs and you have to like solve the puzzle to reveal the boobies. The puzzles for three year olds, Yeah, it's literally like it's like put you know, you're a kid, and you are like putting cubes into a cube hole. It's that. Yeah, there's almost it's gonna be easy enough to solve with one hand. Yeah, you have a lot of experience with these games. Huh, you should be a video. I bet you'd be a cheap video if they're all free, you know. So my question is when I review them, do I have to have the four experience? Why can I just laugh at them? I have to have to complete them all the way? Yeah? Oh god, these are dirty. I didn't realize this is a dirty podcast. It's not it is today. I guess that would be a fun video, but I don't know. They just they let anything on the shop we should have Hello Kitty on there. That was what we were talking about. That is what we were talking about, the sweet, little innocent Hello Kitty. Which I learned while watching your video that the Eggman is part of Hello Kitty. I didn't know that. Who's the egg Man? The little um Sanrio? Yeah, I like that little egg guy. I didn't know he was part of talking about. It's like the Eggman carries and Hello Kitty. Scott Pilgrim in the chat says, get out of our hobby infiltrating. Sorry if you like the hen tag games, I'm not making fun of you. You know what, I'm going to put that on my dog of like videos to make next because that actually sounds video. I played every hand tie game on the switch. Oh well, you would never finish them all, like that's a lot. They just keep adding more. But that's the title, and I would try, let's see how many I can get through. That's not what elaborate. I'm not going. I come back to we missed you. He hasn't been here. Oh you didn't. We didn't show the photos of you. You sent photos in Discord Froster Show and we never showed them. Guy Fieri, No, no, no, if you're watching the podcast Fiery Guy, Guy, I've never heard Guy make that point. You know who I've heard made that point. Every time someone says fiery yeah, the producers yell and he literally does. Guy's not here, He's not he's not going to say it on TV. He's not watching. Could be I'll grab the crew photo because that's a good photo. That well cool. I was just watching The Guys Grocery Games last night. I love that show. I'm a Food Network fan, like I enjoy so many cooking shows on there. She's sucking up now because she said fiery Do you cook it all? Yeah? I love to. I've been telling them they should bring on like content creators as like contestants. That's the one thing they don't do. Oh yeah, they could get like like Tricia is a birdie. I don't know if you watch her on Twitch, she's like a food creator. And she was on a Gordon Ramsay show, one of those ones. Okay, probably the Layer one where it's like Levels, Next Level Chef or something like something like that. I didn't watch that one. You know, I'm a little tired of Gordon. I don't really I don't know his energy is just weird lately. But I'm I've been like a Kitchen Nightmares fan, and I love Master Chef. Chef is so good. I don't watch any of these like chef guys, but I've always loved Gordon because of that one clip of him interacting with that kid idiot the landwich obviously, the idiot sandwich and the donkey dong and like all of the good, like funny ones, but yeah, the one where he's like, you think that he's going to be really mean to this kid and then he's just super sweet, Yeah, like a human. Yeah, how you should interact with kids? Yeah, I suppose, Yeah, everybody does expect him to be mean, but you know, yeah, yeah, I guess I don't like him anymore. It's just a normal guy, I guess, yeah, yeah, Oh yeah. So how long do you go and film that? For this show? Is so we do two weeks in northern California and they do zoom and we do sixteen episodes. Where are you? I am you in the dairy section or the frozen section? It's actually funny. Oh no, you just you're dosing yourself. Now you just zoomed? What do you zoom? I see you do you know where's Wally? But where wait? So it's okay for being stupid, but if you look at where guy is guys in the middle, and then go three, I don't even see guy. How do you not see him? That's like far away. He's got bad eyes. He needs glass? Am I going three to the left or three? I see you? I found Wally. I'm standing next the guy's son. Now I'm gonna find one day the browser and then you can zoom in. Come on. Yes, okay, so wait, I did ask earlier. It's a set right, Okay, it's not a real store. It's a grocery store that they put in a warehouse. Can I go shopping there at the at the end of they should do that. Well, at the end of the run, crew is able to get like all the stuff that's in, like the dairy meats. Also it's like perishable, but everything that's non perisial perishable gets donated to Salvation Army and it's like tons of stuff. So yeah, we do that, but we all take I took like cheese and bacon with cheese, guys, bacon's I would keep it forever. I'd be like I got this on guys, grocery games. It's all like, h three, they did the burger. Yeah, you watch history. Yeah, we need to be friends. You can see me now, I guess I'm behind. I was wearing Teddy Fresh when you came in today. I just see that. Yeah, I didn't want to be that much of a fan. Girl. I still can't see you. He's above the bald man in the middle. His hair se well cool. That looks like so much fun. Guy looks like a he's glowing. Yeah, he's like Jesus, looks like a villain in a monster movie. But there's like a hundred crew in this show. So cool. Wow, your guys, Guy, I'm one of them. Guy's main guy. The guy is uh should be guy's main guy. I want to what this guy is about. We're gonna get him fired so you can move up. So there's the guy with the goate guy. His name is Chico. He looks nice and he's super nice. I don't want to get him. He looks nice. I don't want to get him fired. Wait, is there a guy below that guy? There's actually so many guys. There's a lot of guys. Let's see, does he have any gals? There's a lot of well there's one too, there's a lot of people under him, but like physically, no, I can't. I can't. Who's the guy in the red beanie? That's Walda right there. I don't know his name. It's not wearing production blacks. I never do. I'm wearing there. Am I on the left of guy? Yeah? All right? Not a guy. But now it's funny you mentioned that they use an actual store for that, because that reminds me. I don't know why I'm doing that. What's this? You know what that is? Uh? You know? A full Out show? Anyone's seen the fall Out show? We watched the first episode. Do you like it? And I loved it. It's so good. I thought it was so much better than I was expecting, right because I just get it's like, you know, a little nervous when things that I like. Have you ever played I have? They're very cozy, super cute and fun. No, I've played New Vegas and yeah, I started playing Full Out four again on my steam deck after watching the first episode of the show, which, by the way, last week on the show, I said that I watched the first episode. Now came and I have seen all of it. We've seen the whole we loved it, we binged it. It got better and better and better as it went. It ended on such a high note. The whole show literally started awesome and just went like that the whole way. There was one. It was so cool. I started playing Full Out four again on my steam Deck and I'm I'm sucked into it and I remember really liking it. And everyone always talks so much crap about Full O four and how it's not New Vegas or whatever. Yeah, I think people, it's so good though, it's such a good game. I thought it was fine. I mean I enjoyed it. I like the New England setting, Like you know, a setting, A good setting will always kind of like get me. Then I end up liking it more. But I thought it was fine. I mean I really like it. But the reason why I tied this into the supermarket is because in one of the episodes you're going to watch, they go to a super duper mart or something. I think it's cooled. And that was an actual right aid from Long Island. Wow have you been there? No, It's like a closed down, abandoned right aid. And they filmed all of that in Long Island. You should go there and do it. Lives in Long Island. I don't know if bub was there. Fun fact, I did a documentary on the A lot of the film spaces in Long Island are contaminated with uranium and plutonium. Well maybe that's why they were there. Let's get some radiation poisoning while we're at it. Not to move back. I would love to be a ghoul on the show. On the show, oh, like in general on the show would be so fun. I feel like that that suit that he's in has to be really hot and awkward, you think, so it looks like it's a full prosthetic, Like down in his it does look like it's a full face at least, you know. I feel like long day shoots in that thing. It's a long time to put that on. I don't know. Maybe they have like makeup artists are so smart. They figure out ways to like and everything. You know. What I learned this last Christmas was that Carrie hated doing The Grinch because the is so tedious. Yeah. I'm like, oh that makes me so sad because I love that movie. Every day of shooting he had to be in makeup for hours. Yeah, I've heard that he is a dick in general. Really, that makes me really sad. He might be nice and now maybe he's chilled out because he doesn't have to do the Grinch. Really, I've heard he supposed heard that he hates Like maybe that's maybe that's it. Then maybe it was just a dick in Hollywood. He's very much like the Illuminatis real and like the's a whole I guess. I guess that was mostly pulling from that, but also the the the other show movie he did, the Andy one or whatever, and yeah, that one's all about him, like turning into Andy Coon. But the method to a point where he was like Dave Chappelle talked about it where he walked on that. Yeah, he's like, I want to meet Jim Carrey. He's like, no, this is Andy. Yeah, you can't call him j Yeah, it's weird. Yeah, I heard talking about the prosthetic. I heard that for the first couple of episodes it took him eight hours and then they found a method where they see giut his nose. Yeah, it was like Baltimore, you know, they did like that hours once they whoa so like his nose in like the first episode wasn't c G. If it was, I don't know. Okay, that's interesting that they started it out. It was eight hours and then it became because I will say, at first it looked pretty good, and then after a while I was like, oh, that's c G. I but it still was good the whole. There's no way to just like make a nose disappear. Yeah, there is. There is one way. You can't just get rid of it. That's true. That's commitment, that is to the bit, to the role method acting. Even Jim wouldn't do that forever. No, that's cool. So there's too many cozy games. Did we exhaust that conversation? You feel like? Did you get out everything you wanted to get out? I don't know what all I need to get out? You know, what do you think, Kim? Like, what's like something that irks you about them? Possibly? I feel like the issue right now is too many of those games are trying to be animal crossing, because animal crossing at this point has gotten old. It's like four years old at this point, and everybody's trying to like fill that animal crossing animal. Yeah, and like there's some games that have done it well. Like I feel like fay Farm. Aside from the ugly characters, looked nice and it had a lot of the similar elements. Dreamlight Valley apparently is doing really well in filling that void for a lot of people. I quit playing it because it's overwhelming. There was too much stuff you played that. I did play Disney Dreamlight Valley, and I was kind of gung ho about the game for a while. I really was. But then once they took back wanting to come out free to play and instead be fully paid. And then also the Micronchi Yeah, just like I'm out. Yeah, that was that was a nightmare. Yeah. I had a horrific Well I wasn't horrific. Who is horrific? Was such the wrong word to use, man touch grass. I had a less than optimal experience with that game because I booked it like the eighty dollars deluxe thing, yes on day one. Yeah, and I didn't get any of my stuff, like any of the deluxe stuff sucks. Yeah, No, it was horrific. So I'm I know. I was tweeting them and emailing them and I was like, hey, can I get my stuff, because like I wanted to make a video on the game. But I couldn't recommend it and be like, hey, go buy this game if everyone's because a lot of people were getting robbed, and like months went by, and then eventually they were like we've updated it. Check your mail, and I had all my stuff in my little fox and I was like, finally I can sleep at night. But I don't care about this game anymore. Yeah, exactly. I mean I didn't buy the game because I did like full disclosure. I worked with them for a little bit and so how do you how do you really feel about the game. Then I liked it, like I thought it was a good game. I thought it was genuinely like Going Places. But I told people like, don't buy it please because it's going to go free to play in Australia. And then it didn't and then they took it back and so I was like, just kidding, I don't really think I wanna. Yeah, people will find this game to people just because it is so expensive, they're still doing the pay early access, I think, or is it out I don't know, but it's an expensive game. And then the micro transactions are kind of like insane, like it's a lot. I don't know. I just I thought the game had potential, but it seems to be pretty nickel and dimy at this point. Yeah. I don't love that, so even really fell off of playing it. I don't think the loop was enough for you. They're like the gameplay loop and like the to want to go back and play. Yeah. It was a lot of fetch quests really, which is fine, but like, yeah, it just ended up being too much because they added so many characters. You've got like forty little guys, but like, can you make me a thing? Like, no, I'm done. They just added a character. They keep adding character dais Duck. Finally, do you have to pay for every new character? I actually don't know how it works. I think now what they're doing is free updates, but they were I think the plan was to have you pay for each little expansion game. But as far as I know, I think Daisy Duck is free. So okay, youse Daisy Duck fans out there, Yeah, I'm sure currency the money. Yeah. Yeah. Did you ever play the switch Port? No? I didn't. That was another thing too. I was like, please don't bite on the switch no matter what, like, because people were having such a also put me off of playing it. Because it's just the load times was so long, it was so laggy, it looked like crap. Yeah, it's kind of like one of the main reasons also why I have chosen not to really do a lot of game sponsorships anymore. Yeah, you know, I'm in a similar boat. I over the last couple of years, have taken several not like a lot, like three four couple of year where they're like, hey, we want you to do a dedicated video for our game. And I kept falling into this trap where they'd be like, oh, we can't give you the switch code until launch day, but we can give you the Steam code so you can record all your gameplay, and we want it by this date, and we want it by this date. And then I put the video out and I'm like, hey, it's coming to switch and then the switch port guess what sucks. And I'm like, oh, I've just shoveled this out to my audience and actually the same thing just happened without. I don't want to throw them under the bus too much because they were like very nice, but I signed to do Urian Chronicles. I don't even know how to pronounce it. I don't know if you can try looking that up. It's Urian Chronicles the one Hundred Heroes or something. It just came out. It's a very classic traditional JRPG made by the same guy that made the sweak it in games, and it's like it's like a spiritual success says that those it's one hundred characters you can play anyway. I was the reason I know all of this is because I was locked in with a contract to make a video for them, dedicated on my channel, and they wouldn't give me the switch port. And then when they finally did, the performance was, yeah, ok, the performance was so bad on Switch And also like, I'm not like super traditional JRPG guy, Like I like Persona five, I like a lot of flash, like a New Final Fantasy. Going back and playing something from like PlayStation one era, I was like, I don't know if I want to convince my audience to buy something that has an eighty dollars deluxe pack that I don't really want to pay, that runs kind of poorly on Switch So I, oh my god, yeah, yeah that's it. So I personally I canceled it. I tore up the contract. I said no, thank you, but but I will say that everywhere other than Switch, Switch is getting like a lot of five out of tens. Everywhere other than Switch, it's getting like high scores like eights, seven eights, a couple of nines. So go check it out people. Yeah, if you like traditional JPGs, go buy it anywhere. But Switch pronounced by the way I googled it aiden Aiden. Yeah, also buy it. If you're gonna buy it, maybe don't buy the deluxe play it first if you like it. Yeah. Yeah, No, it's kind of a number because yeah, like I want to take game sponsorships, but at the same time, like I do fear coming across disingenuous. So yeah, I only take things that I'm like, hey, I need time to play it, and it's no guarantee, you know, And if I like it, then yeah, I'll talk about it. That's the point that I'm at too now, just like give me a key to I don't even want to talk about doing I told my manager, I was like, from now on, I need the game first. I need to play it before we ever sign a contract, because if I'm not breaking contracts, it sucks. Disney dream My Valley. It's tough because, like I did want to believe in the game, and I was like, I had such seems like such a shoe in for like, and that's one of those things like with me and that that game. I was like, that's such a shoe and easy thing for my audience. And with you Disney animal crossing style, they want to work with you. You can't go wrong with Disney. Yeah, that's like when Pokemon came to me to work with Scarlet and Violet. It's like, you can't go wrong. Yeah, you can't. You can't deny that, Like that is such a cool thing, and like you want you want to work with Disney, you want to work with Pokemon, you want to give it that pass. Yeah. The only thing that urked me about it was that it did kind of give mobile game vibes, like art style wise, and but I pushed myself to get over it, and I was like, Wow, I actually really like your game. Yeah, and then you do this to me, like you do you do this to me? Come into my house? Yeah? Did you? When's the last time you even played that game? Kim? I played it right when they dropped the toy story characters because I was excited for that. And then I got overwhelmed because then I had too many characters on my island wanting stuff. Yeah, and everybody just want to take take take from me. They never give you anything. Yeah. I think you had way more fun with faith Arm. I had so much fun with faith Farm because the mechanics were so similar to animal crossing, Like the flowers even look the same, and like you grow them the same way. I had fun with that. Faith really felt like animal crossing and staw do combined into one. Yeah, and I did like it a lot. I did like it. Yeah, it was just what I'm not trying to shoot on you for liking it. No, but you you are the expert. So I feel like I have to defend myself here, Like if you tweeted this, I'd be so mad. I would be in the replies like, no, my wife and I that saved all relationship. No, No, I think Faith Farm. I did get forty hours out of it. I will say that I did. I think. Also another huge gripe I had with that game is that it's so expensive. It was very expensive. What was it like forty dollars and that it was sixty sixty dollars version DLC. That wasn't even out yet on the game came out. Yeah, and you could only buy the deluxe version on the switch. I think they farm people. Let me know if I'm wrong, but that, yeah, why are you selling a DALC that's not even out yet? You know, Like I just don't. I don't like weird marked me. Sorry, I get a little sorry, dumb. Yeah, well I really went off there. Okay, Well, unless you have anything else about the cozy games, I mean there's a lot that we can yell about. Really, I love to complain, So I thank you. I'm not even kidding. If you were local, I would ask you to do this more often, if not permanently. Wow, guys got the stamp of approval. Oh, people will like you more than me. I can already tell my girlfriend told me to ask this question, but she just wanted to know if you guys wanted to talk about, Like I feel like cozy games And I'm not saying this, I just feel like it's the you know, the overall thought like on Twitter and stuff that cozy games are like girl games, and yeah, I think that would make an interest. Copy pasta follows me everywhere I go that like, like girls pick up a real game. Like Call of Duty. You know, it's a copy pasta from forever. Tell them to pick up a real game like anything other than Yeah, I think a lot of games, you know, especially like back in the day, like Animal Crossing, it was like people did not take that seriously whatsoever. You know, being an Animal Crossing fan as a young kid, it was kind of like, you know, oh, you're playing a girl game, right. I I think that cozy games are for everybody. I think that all games are for everybody, you know. I don't think you need to be like cracked at Fortnite or whatever to be like considered a gamer. So I don't know, And I just feel like on YouTube, the space is so welcoming. Maybe that's just my people on YouTube, but I just don't really get a lot of people that hould a woman card necessarily, except for actually the Pickman video. Pickman fans are so interesting. There's such interesting people. I love. Yeah, Piman fans and Zeno Blade fans, we love them all. Yeah, No, it's a they just you know, we're very like protective of their game and things like that, and so but it's a lot of like the condescending talk, right, like that's the main. I could literally come on there and be like, it is my first time seeing a Pickman ever in my whole life, and I've never played a Pickman game before, and people would still be like you did this, this, this, and this wrong and nitpick every little thing. And it's kind of like it reminds me of the conversations growing up of like, oh, you're a gamer, like name five video games, and I just think, you know, it's it's a silly conversation at this point because the space is just so welcoming. There's so many ladies online and gays online that are gaming and playing these cozy games and they're just like living it up and having a fun time and creating their own space, which I think is great. Can I say one thing that I did notice, like the I think the pandemic also allowed people to get into these types of games because I never played Animal Crossing me neither. That New Horizon was which opened up so many doors everybody for everybody, and it also opened up people who never played those types of games, Like it gave people like a sense of comfort to like actually hang out with new people when you were like visiting the island. I think that like changed anything too totally. I mean it brought me to the online space. Like that's how I got started with my channel, was with Animal Crossing New Horizons over the Pandemic, and I found like this incredible community of gamers I didn't even know existed before, Whereas like in my real life, I don't know about you guys, but like growing up, I would rather have been hit by a bus than have people know I played video games in school. Like, oh no, I told everybody I was such a nud It was so like like people were so judgmental and weird about it really, and like I remember, like me and my girlfriends we used to play RuneScape, but we would make boy characters so like we wouldn't get made fun of and stuff like that, and like and then we wouldn't We would rather die than have people at school no, you know. And so it's wild. Do you think that was that's a girl specific problem? I think so, yeah, because like, you know, kids were playing video games and it was like just very much a boy hobby I think growing up. And now it's like, you know, my little sister, she was playing Roblocks when she was a little bit younger and in elementary school and middle school with all her friends at school, and I'm like, wow, like that would not have happened. Wow growing up, same thing with like anime, Like would rather have died than have people know I watched anime until like high school, and you kind of get more comfortable with yourself. So that's the same for me. I didn't let anyone know I watched anime. Yeah, it's kind of that same thing with girls and video games. I think growing up it's kind of like, well, by the time you get to high school, like who gives a ship? But now was that pressure to to not talk about that coming from the other girls at the school or like guys and girls mostly just the boys at school. We're kind of like, yeah, name five games or you know, like very condescending about the hobby. And then also it was kind of like nerd shit, like yeah, you wanted to like be cool and present yourself at school. Maybe that was just me, but yeah, it really was like there's a lot of like closet gamers at school. I felt like, so I agree with that. I No, I agree, I definitely agree. And I know the types of people me and my friends growing up oral gamers, and we always talked about getting a game or wife one day, So like finding out that a girl like games was always yeah, that was I I was getting there. Our first conversation was about video games, and I was like, Okay, I'm gonna get married her in two weeks. Yeah, And that's the thing about like her. That's the thing about like guys online that maybe comment those condescending rude things. Yeah, underneath you know, girl YouTube gamers videos like myself, You're not gonna get any bitches that way, Like you have to be like, you know, so welcoming, so cool about it. I just like, don't. I just don't think it's like a nice way to talk to people. But online people get so emboldened and think that they can say whatever they want and because they can, you know, but they would never say that kind of stuff in real life. And yeah, as I got older, it was like definitely way cooler. Like I don't think I went to my first like GameStop midnight release until I was in high school. And for a lot of boys growing up that are my age, that was like something they were always doing, but like I never want to go. Yeah, I will felt like I wanted to do that but I didn't end up, you know, finding like gamer friends until high school either, So well, I guess I did have gamer friends, but we didn't we didn't want to talk about it at school. Secret. Yeah, definitely, So I don't know. It's an interesting thing being a woman gamer online. Yeah, there's still, even right now, an insane amount of sexism and misogyny in the gaming industry, to a point where it makes me ashamed of my fellow male gamers. And if you're watching and you're one of them, I am ashamed of you. We hate men on the non tender men suck, honestly, and I have talked to so many of them. No, but like you know, I obviously I have Kim, and Kim's not really in the gaming space as much, but I've seen some of it with her. But we have another friend, Miss Click, who she deals with that crap constantly on a daily basis. Yeah, I definitely don't get it as much because I am playing a lot of women games. I play like the sinse in Animal Crossing in Stardy Valley. But if I like, I do not know how women in e sports do it. Yeah, they have it so much worse. Women play any game that maybe has more of like a male audience. Yeah, it's kind of like scary. I think I would rather jump in front of a bus there too. Have you seen any of those clips of like goos that play like online games like Cool of Duty, o Valorine or anything, and then like everyone's on the one chat they're all cheating, just kidding, Well I thought you were talking about that. Is that is one? Yeah, all the top Cool of Duty women's streamers are all cheating. But no, like just like a girl just like streaming and she's in like a game. Everyone's talking in the game nicely, but she hasn't said anything yet, and then she says one thing and the lobby gets so toxic and just starts screaming at her or like telling her to go back to the kitchen like you did earlier. All all of those, all of those kind of jokes. No, yeah, no, they're all they're all cheating. They're all like dumb, they all play bad, like all these like like pick one, do they play bad or are they cheating? You know? And then also like you know, I just I don't personally play a lot of games like that, Like the most like I play is OVERWATK with my little cousin when he asked me to play, and I played Diva and I just have like a fabulous time being really bad. But I yeah, I feel really bad for those girls, Like I don't know how they do it. It's definitely a whole different world. And I'm way too scared to like be in that. You know, I'd rather just not play those games, to be honest, than get yelled at it play them publicly or play them at all lobby. I yeah, I don't play them at all, really, I mean, I mean cool. The only thing I don't play publicly that I keep to myself so sacred is old school RuneScape, because if I were to tell people my username, I would get shitt on, probably so hard because I've always been like a mid level player, like and I still play to this day. I've been playing this game for like what like ten fifteen years, Like it's crazy, so but I don't know. I that's like something I keep sacred. But to me, I don't know any women who play that game. You know, I'm sure there's at least one more some way, yeah somewhere, would you play play it in high school? But I just play it exactly. But it's like you boys are brutal on there, you know, and sell me, and so you still use a boy character and escape. No, I got a hot chick nice. I love that, Kim. Would you consider yourself a gamer? I don't know because the title is a little bit much sometimes because when you say gamer, I think of the people who are video of you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I just like games. I don't necessarily need to be called anything. I just like them, and I like the certain games that I like, and I'm one of those people that plays the same ones a lot. M So I don't yeah, comfort games for me, just playing those a lot, or if there's something new that comes out that looks fun, I'll play it. But mostly it's just like the sims or you know, I go and redo my Animal Crossing Island for the millions time. Yeah, now you're you're gamer pilled for sure, You're totally a gamer. Like, don't be afraid to, like, I guess, claim that title if that's something that you feel is you, and I feel like that's something I try to convey as well. Like I'm definitely a more like feminine person and I think a lot of people you know, are kind of like under my comment section saying, Oh, it's so cool to see you be like so feminine and like a feminine woman and being into this boy hobby. And I'm like, gosh, like it's so weird. You know that there is that stigma, but it's true and it's cool. You know. Hopefully I can help people feel more comfortable in that way, you know, because I'm a girl and I like makeup, but I also like video games, so I don't know. Yeah, I mean with Kim, I didn't. I don't want to put the label on you. But you do have seven hundred No, you have like over a thousand hours an animal crossing. Listen. If I love a game, I love. Yeah, you're a game and I will play it off. First conversation was about Yoshi. You've played a game? Yeah, I have one hundred percent to Yoshi a few times. I do love that you play the game of my heart. Oh much, that's so, I say it back. You guys like married or something? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, that's cute. Well thanks for the laughing by and there always gets me. Thanks for sharing all of that with us. I appreciate it. Yeah, no, it's definitely a weird subject for sure. I feel like I'm saying everything and saying it right. I feel like you did great, and I I'm happy for you that you found this community that you're very happy in and very supported by and that you can have fun with and just be your natural self and just be you and play the games that you like. That's awesome. Yeah, you're literally you're living the dream and doing what you love with the platform, which is why the platform is there. So you are absolutely crushing it. It feels special, like it's like so many like girlies that are like this with me and it's cool. I mean, Kim was one of them, one of them, hasn't stopped being one of them, I assume will now be more one of them than ever before. Wow. Yeah, I feel the energy in this realm. Something special. Yeah, something special has happened. Allow you to curse like that something special happen. I know this last everything since I said that word has been a dream. That's beautiful. I had so many things on my list for us to talk about today and we didn't talk about any of them, and I am okay with that. I had a great conversation. How long have we been doing this an hour. Are you serious? Yeah, my god, I feel like we just got here. I mean, we do have a bonus episode to do, but we can also keep chatting. Was there anything else on your list that you're like, Oh, I got to talk about this, you know, I gotta be honest, talking about Metroid and Fortnite after that conversation does not seem important. I don't mind if it's something you feel like you need to cover. That's pertinenty. Oh no, I don't care, no, because noroid I know she's in the suit. She's in the suit's girl. Yeah, she's a girl gamer the beginning. Yeah, that's true. Right as a child, I actually didn't know because I found Smash first. I didn't know they were the same. You know what, me too. Yeah, I played Smash first and I thought it was just a cool guy in a suit, and then I found out it was a hot girl in a suit, and it got a lot better. Wow, I gotta play Thattroid now. I mean, she's badass. She's one of the coolest Nintendo characters. I mean, we're I'm okay, we're here. We can talk about it quickly. It just seems so non important. But the one of the bigger stories I wanted to talk about that I thought was really interesting is Epic Games who make for Fortnite. We're in talks with Nintendo. You can pull up the article there you go to get Samus into Fortnite, Fortnight Fortnite and Mark brownly So that would have been big style Yeah sorry, ah so yeah, I mean were they were in talks, they didn't want to let her be in there. So Nintendo were entertaining the idea of Samus being in Fortnite if that was only an experience that Nintendo Switch players could have, So if only Switch people playing Fortnite could get Samus. They didn't want Samus to be anywhere else. This is something that Nintendo has always done, like not with Fortnite or this, but not allowing their characters to appear anywhere other than on a Nintendo console. We have a lot of examples of like games that release everywhere that are also on Switch will get some exclusive things like start even to Starlink that's the space one Space one. Yeah, by you'd be soft Yeah, good job. It's like everywhere, Yeah, you go, like everywhere you go everywhere, everywhere from New York to Delaware, I thought it was space. Sorry, it released everywhere but on Switch it had Starffucks in it, and then starff Fox wasn't anywhere else. So Nintendo said only if you that, but Epic was like, no, because how would that even work? You buy a skin on Switch, you go play online, and no one sees the skin, Like, what would they seelt you wouldn't see it? No, I thought like, asking, how would that even work? Well, I think it would just be like you can only get the skin if you're on Switch, which I think is like a kind of cool idea. Yes, but they didn't want They didn't want it to appear on other platforms. Strange so like if you're playing on PlayStation, you could see Samus running around in the game. They didn't want that. Oh then that's a little weird. See it is weird. Yeah, I don't think that that would work, and so it wouldn't work. But so here's here's a question. Out of all Nintendo's ips. Okay, I get you don't want Mario over there, you don't want Link over there, you don't want an animal crossing character over there. You don't really need them to be But Metroid is a really cool ip. That has always kind of struggled for sales, Like Metroid Dread sold three million copies and that's been like the best Metroid game that we've had in years, like literally years. Would there not be an argument to be made that putting that character in Fortnite could do a lot for its popularity. I mean maybe, but like Peter Griffin's in Fortnite, and I don't think anybody's running to watch Family Guy because he's in Fortnite. I was, but I mean I'm always running to watch Family Guy. But like, I don't know that's necessarily true. I mean, Family Guy is so popular already that maybe it wouldn't see a blip. But look at like the Fallout Show, Fallout four and Fallout games have gone up seventy five hundred percent in player base from people watching the Fallout Show. If Samus goes into the arguably the most popular game that is out right now, and all of these kids that play Fortnite and people that play Fortnite see this new character and think, oh, what game is that? What game is they're from? Oh I have a switch, I'll I'll buy Metroid and see. You know, it could be interesting, But like I understand why they want to be protective of their own stuff, and it's kind of like, do they need to do that with Metroid Maybe maybe that's why I'm saying maybe like if anything, like I don't think you would feel the same way if it was like Mario. Right, no, if Mario and all of that don't need that publicity, but also would be really weird to see them. But we are talking about a character that already shoots and kills things like that's kind of baked into her characters. She's a badass. Boundary game where Mario has a gun, Yeah, there's Mario and Rabbits where he has a little blast yea, and Nintendo didn't even make that game. You'd be so did yet? Yeah, so I don't know. They should give Mario a gun like a like a smith and western like a wind chest like an ak. They gave Kirby a gun and forgotten when he absorbs. Oh really, joker, he gets I mean that gun does shoot like blue lasers or something. But yeah, it's a gun, you pink cloud shooting. Yeah, that's true. I can see your point, though, I think like, yeah, if you're like, oh, I want this game to be more popular. Why aren't you trying to expose it more? I can definitely see that point, but I understand. I understand. I understand as well. But Nintendo have always done things like that, I feel like to their detriment, Like through the Wiu era, Nintendo wouldn't allow any content creator to cover their content, like you know how you're making animal crossing content. Yeah, they used to DMCA. If that was the Wii era, you wouldn't be allowed to do that, And that was something that really hurt them because nobody could share their games free publicity. To It's just like, why are you the only ones doing that? And they let up? Right, I was on YouTube, not on it, but I was watching, you were watching. You were a fan? Ye? Yeah, But they've always done stuff like that, and I feel like this could be a similar thing. But I mean, it's Fortnite. Who cares, right, Yeah, we don't even play it. We're not even real gamers. We don't. We don't play Fortnite, okola duty, I guess not. What are we not gamers? We probably play like Roomscape in our basement. Hey no, I don't know. They should just give Mario a gun and put him a Fortnite. Why not? That would be funny, That would be great. Did you hear about the new Leaf service closing down? Well, yeah, they closed down all of the three ds and you online so you can do local play. I think did you hear about the miscellaneous man's daughter being upset about it? Miscellaneous man Jeff Gertzman, that's how you pronounce it. He's an ex Giant bomb or works for Giant bomb or has his own podcast. He's a pretty big deal. He made a video about his three year old daughter in tears because they shut the service. Videos notloading. Oh but the article, the article titled it as father mad at at Nintendo for shutting down servers, and I think he retweeted it like I'm just a father now or something like that. But yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not familiar. But I mean, is she on New Horizons? You know we need to get the girl switched. You're right, honestly, bad dad not giving her a switch in the new game. No, it is upsetting to see the online features shut down for games like because it sucks because when you buy these games, you're like buying it for that feature as well, and for them to go away after so many years. It always is kind of just like, man, what the hell? Yeah, it sucks, So I'm gonagree it onto that and I think he's right, and yeah she should cry, Yeah she should cry. Sheerves to cry. Three years old. Yeah, I know, Well she knows the difference between New Horizon. Just give her a New Like, I don't really that is true. How invested was she? Yeah, I don't even know, like at the end of this game's life, you know. Yeah, New is for real, like one of the best animal crossing it's so good. And she recognized that, Yeah, recognize. Yeah, No, I don't know. I think it sucks. And you know, she's right, she's right. Should get her on the podcast. We should that would be cool, New Coast say, I can get her to swear. All right, Well, thanks for coming in. I appreciate you. Got any more plans while you're in town. Oh, Nintendo store there, they have a bunch of animal crossing much the shots kind of suck, but yeah, unless do you like coffee? How are you with coffee? I love coffee. Oh, you have a lot of rooster what's his name? Brewster Brewster. They have a lot of Brewster themes shirts. I want to buy Kim something, and I'm like, buy an Animal Crossing show, and it's always Brewster shirts. And on the Nintendo Store in Japan online they have like Animal Crossing New Horizons cookware and like Bento box. We we went, we went to Japan. Yeah, we went to Japan and we went to older than Nintendo stores recently, and I don't think I saw that. I saw the pots and pants and stuff, and I saw the little Brewster coffee maker that Bob bought. Can I give a hot take out of like the four Nintendo stores we've been to, the one in New York and then like I think three in Japan. The New York one's the best. I agree for real, Yeah, hands down. It has the most stuff and has the best layout because the way like when we went to the one in Tokyo or the one in Kyoto where we're just open, we went to we went to both. So the one in Kyoto, I think it's just one giant open room and I was expecting it to be like a little bit better. It was more like an a mall. Wow, Nintendo, We're like, so we went through like what else is there? Tokyo? But like nothing else was great Tokyo and Osaka. They opened Kyoto after we left. Kyoto's actually got one cool thing that I wish we had got to do. You can buy, uh, you can peace out a switch with new pots, so you can buy any of the JOYCN colors they've ever done, and you can picked the two you want and you can pick the switch. They should just let everyone do that. Ever, Yeah, I know that would be really cool. You see the new pink ones they put out. They're so cute, cute, so cute, and I wanted to buy it with the Princess Peach Showtime Bundle, and I didn't because I was like, I don't need more joy cons that are going to break. And then I just bought the game by itself, and now I'm like double mad. Did you like the game? Yeah? Yeah, uh, it's just I don't know. Baby game for babies, baby babies. Would you call it a cozy game? I mean I do play a lot of baby games for babies. Yeah, nex Stitch, you know, I just bought that and it's like totally baby sensory video. Love it, though I might have to play love it. Yeah, when I get them with all my hand type games, I'll check it out. Yeah, yeah, well, thank you so much Liz for coming in. You was such a joy, and I want you to be a permanent co host said, I'm kind of burned out with in general right now, and I'm like super stressed about the podcast and I feel like I do a bad job every time, and I'm really down about it. But this was great. Oh no, don't be down about it. No, this stop with the negative people. Like they're just gonna they're just gonna come and they're just gonna do their negative thing. And it's like you just what are you gonna do. I know, I'm really in my head. I'm sorry criticism and be like all right, dope bye.
